"Got another three hundred pages or so of underlying mueller investigation emails and texts and memos and in them we learned that don jr. vodka and kushner way more involved in russia talks than previously known at least to the public. I mean we knew Ivanka reportedly informed a co co-chair of her father campaign that her brother don jr. could make recommendations for military advisers while kushner offered details about his private meetings with henry kissinger We also learned that in january. Potential legal challenges over late-arriving mail ballots
"With so many Americans voting by mail this year. There are concerns that ballots may not arrive on time when you have some states that don't require a postage mark on there, so we don't know when they were filled out. They don't require signature verification, and some states say they'll be counting nine or 10 days after the election, I think is the most industrialized country in the world. We can do better than that. Corey Lewandowski, a senior advisor with the Trump campaign on Fox News Sunday. you have known this guy for a long time and when he walked in the room I stand up and I pay taxes like everyone else like he has earned by being the leader of the free world that's number one but look Shady Deals at Trump Properties
"President surrounds himself with criminals? His campaign chair. His deputy campaign chair is former national. Security Adviser you. You get the picture and as a rule if you're a politician that kind of thing isn't generally a great move but it does offer one surprising benefit when one of those folks turns turns on you you can point to their own shading dealings and say what anyone trust this person and as the president has defenders go after Parnasse repeating the same. You can't trust him line or I don't even know him remember. We have seen this all before with the last bag. Man Who talked about President Michel Com for about a decade Cohn was the Executive Vice President Trump Organization and Donald Trump's special counsel in September of two thousand seventeen profile of him appeared in Vanity Fair entitled. Michael Cohen would take a bullet for Donald Trump. The piece points out cones extreme loyalty to the president quote cone has been described as the sixth trump child. Or as Tom Hagen in this twisted version of the Godfather and sometimes as both Michael Cohen was the president's fixer but that relationship started to fall apart in early early twenty eighteen as news leaked out of illegal hush money payments made to women ahead of presidential election by April the FBI had redid. Cohen's office and hotel room in Hatton seizing recordings electronic devices. Initially the president was supportive of his longtime attorney. Michael lawyer who. I've always liked him respected. Most most people will flip if the government lets out of trouble sorry. I don't see Michael doing that. Despite the horrible which hunt and the dishonest media but on the day after Cohen pleaded guilty to do eight federal crimes including campaign finance violations. Implicating the president directly as an unindicted co-conspirator individual one the president trashed him quote. If anyone is looking for a good lawyer I would strongly suggest that you don't retain the services of Michael Cohen burn months later. Cohen found himself before Congress delivering a warning. I did the same thing that you're doing now. For Ten years I protected Mr Trump on for ten years and I can only warn people the more people that follow. Mr Trump as I did blindly are going to suffer the same consequences suances that I'm suffering. Michael Cohen pulled back. The curtain. On trump world in two thousand eighteen and live parnasse did that last night telling us what an absolute cesspool of conflicts flicks of interest corruption and shady characters around the President United States. We'll talk about that next today. The the FBI showed up at the home of Robert F. Hide just days after the house. Intelligence Committee released text messages. Provided by indicted Giuliani associate partners in which hide appears to be representing sending himself as actively surveilling then. US Ambassador Ukraine revanche high was told NBC News. He was drunk and unserious when he sent those tax. The question you have to ask ask yourself is how did someone like Robert. Hi gain access to the United States and the answer to that was laid out by himself told Rachel maddow how easy it is to get. Close the presents inner circle just show up at the trump international hotel in Washington DC. That's how Parnasse himself met Robert. Hi You met him where I met him at the I think the trump hotel yes trump hotel. He was a regular at the bar because it was like a breeding ground that trump hotel so it every event would be there so everybody would hang out there afterwards. Everybody all the meetings would be there. So it's basically you would see the same people every day or the same congressman that supported the president would be there and nobody else so he was a fixture on site he was always there and but he was always drunk. What you got in the stands where the trump hotel it's like one a big Cesspool and there's really hard to keep any secrets for more on that Cesspool joined by independent journalists sack efforts in the last two years staking out the trump hotel and writing up what he saw in the eleven hundred Pennsylvania newsletter and an article for Vanity Fair titled Power Tripping the swamp how trump's DC hotel swallowed Washington Zach. This is your beep deep probably more than it is anyone's beaten. I'm curious how is description. Squared with what you've been reporting over the last two years it's spot on. I mean Robert Hyde was on my radar Ariza early as April e. You look at his instagram. And they were pictures of him with the president pictures of him with the vice president all sorts of important people and for him it actually transcended ended the trump hotel. I think he was at six different trump properties. But if you want to project important you can just go hang out at the hotel and take some pictures one of the things that has struck me about about this where we are right now. The impeachment is usually it is very hard to get to the present United States and and and that's for that can be really maddening for people when you're trying to if you're working in the in the staff of the White House and you want to get the president something on his agenda. It's hard to get to him This president seems remarkably easy to get to buy all kinds of people with all kinds of agendas and it seems like his properties are the nexus of this this kind of soft corruption absolutely. I spoke to the president at the trump trump hotel. I was staying there researching one of my articles in for the cost of a nice steak dinner I was able to chat with the president which mix for really good social media posts there so if you you just you know hanging out there take your pictures with your Kevin McCarthy user Mike Pence's as they go back and forth now they're usually not upfront in the bar they're usually going back and forth from the entrance way way to private rooms but see them coming and going you can collect enough pictures and you look like you're really important and then what do you do with that really important the look like you're really important. Well well I think with Robert Heidi. He's using it to run for Congress and there are certainly some other people who are running for Congress typically Republican challengers who seem to be collecting pictures of themselves to the trump hotel. But I've seen some people move from the lobby where the lesser swamp. Thing's hang out to the back rooms and I. I don't know exactly what they're doing to get back there. But looking on social media it almost looks like that they are puffing up their importance with a lot of pictures and then all of a sudden they kind of get to be important That's interesting what. What do you mean by backrooms described it because at one point apartments talking about a private dinner with the president which I think happens there in the hotel room? What is what's the sort of distinction between the the the lobby bar in the backrooms actual important power players are so there's really two tiers if you go out in the lobby? That's where you're gonNA find you not even Fox News host but like Fox News guests are going to be hanging out there. People who really wanted to be seen in need to be seen to kind of project some sort of importance but they may not actually be that important example. Corey Lewandowski is somebody. You'll see it there rudy. Giuliani was the exception to that. But it's the back rooms. It's the trump townhouse which is where if died with dined with the president. And it's the Franklin study in the Lincoln Library where they had those private events. And that's where you'll see the mingling with special interest groups that have flown in lobbyists. Anybody can see them coming back and forth though to the main entrance which is where some of these other interactions come from and is that final question here like do like my understanding from the reporting we haven't from the disclosures that special interest groups if you're trying to get a rag changed if you're trying to get a piece of legislation like they we know that's the place to go and that's where those back room meetings happen. It can't hurt. There's absolutely no downside to booking the trump hotel now. I spoke to lobbyist obvious really early on when it was clear that hotel was going to stick around. said they're going to go there to try to influence them in response was of course they are. Why wouldn't they yeah? Search efforts in who's been covering this beaten his newsletter. Thanks a
Where the fake Trump media massacre video came from, and other things to know about it
"All right so for those of you that might not be totally into this story or understanding where it's come from this was totally trending on twitter all day a and it just so happens that I spoke at the conference where this is the center of controversy so there was a horrific museum video where you're donald trump massacres fake news media now essentially there's these videos that go around and there's this community of people that love the president so much they'll take popular videos superimpose the face of Donald trump onto somebody kickboxing or somebody with a lightsaber fighting people they disagree with so I guess the most this one was the CNN which with precise which was the body slam when the wwe one because the president shared that one and so this particular video was from the movies kingsman which is about the British Secret Service or something starring Colin Firth actually doesn't fourteen. I've never enjoyed those movies I it's called the dark comedy only for some people only some people very cheesy I never liked that movie right somehow killing people's funny but no there is a whole genre it appeals to a certain the demographics never liked the not Nora Nora I've tried to watch it a couple times is just not really my my genre so anyway this memoir so those that don't seem to have to define what a menas because we do have some people okay so mean is what is the best way to find a mean kind of like when you know it Ben Johnson Adam Benny Johnson chief creative officer turning point USA so look amine is a picture or a video that satirizes or explains an issue in a short sound bite that usually his comedy or uses wit I guess that's a good way to put it that it turns it on its head flips it sure Iran nick insightful. Almost here's the best way I can describe it it's the Internet's equivalent of political cartoons that a good way to put it share okay a modern digital essentially this scene in kingsman which I don't understand how this scene was really funnier incite fuller enjoyable the watch but allegedly there was a scene where somebody walks into a church and kills a bunch of people that was the scene Church massacre and they superimposed Donald Trump's face to be the guy that's killing everyone and then he's killing the fake news media CNN MSNBC as well as Democrats like Barack Obama Nancy Pelosi unless we totally denounces videos unequivocally and totally I don't think it's funny to show violence against other people I think it's it's not my not my taste I don't think it's funny people I find that Kinda dark humor interesting I'm not one of those people however he let's just get through some facts they say this was shown at the president's Miami resort so all of the media covering this is insinuating as if the president approved this or this was at his resort he didn't at all okay so I was at this event it was a unique event it was one with a lot of energy and a lot of people that were really excited to be there and Donald Trump junior Sarah Sanders governor on descent data's thankful to be invited you know so this video is shown in a side room in a breakout room against a wall in a very kind of make shift CAPAC- acidy and Don Jr. Ron to Santa Sarah Sanders myself and Corey Lewandowski knew nothing of it we didn't know about this until the news actually broke and now we're being lumped into this I might have spent forty minutes at this event basically the entire time I was at the event was when I was speaking in and out and Laura Ingraham that night and then I flew to Detroit super early the next morning I didn't hang around it was not but they're acting as if we were behind this entire thing the headlines are all all sort of inferring it's like Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Donald trump junior charlie kirk and this
Spy chief defends handling of "unprecedented" whistleblower complaint
"Welcome to a special edition of the lead the White House in crisis. I'm jake tapper and what has been a nonstop and truly unprecedented day of news. President trump apparently furious about the whistle blower whose allegations now threatened to bring about his impeachment sources. Tell Mr trump behind closed doors earlier today said he wanted to know who in his administration spoke with the whistle blower and according wanting to the New York Times which first reported the story president trump then said quote because that's close to a spy. You know what we used to do. In the old days when we were smart with spies and treason right we used to handle it a little differently than we do now unquote and apparent reference there to executions as well as a misuse of the term treason season but the president's over the top response comes in context comes after a key moment in the trump impeachment inquiry today we got our first look at the full whistleblower a complaint about the president the one that sparked this whole impeachment investigation this whistle blower sounding the alarm about president trump using his power to get Ukraine aim to interfere in the two thousand twenty election and the White House according to the whistle blower then trying to lock down records of that phone call hiding the transcript in a computer system or only the most sensitive national security information is typically stored today House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said it is clear what this sounds like to her. This is a cover up allegations of abuse of power and an ensuing cover up. If would-be quite damning would be extremely unethical and now of course it is up to Congress decide if those acts happened and if they are impeachable today the acting director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire testified on Capitol Hill defending the decision to not immediately hand over the whistle blower complaint to Congress as prescribed by law but Maguire would not say whether he spoke to president trump about the matter. Did you ever speak to the president about this complaint my conversations with the president because I'm the director of National Intelligence are privileged acting DNA McGuire added that he thought the whistle blower and the intelligence community inspector inspector general both acted in good faith. Let's go straight to CNN Sara Murray and Sarah. Despite president trump attacking the whistle blowers sources the acting spy. Hi Chief says he believes the whistle blower did all the right things. That's right jake president trump and his Republican allies have questioned the credibility the motives of this whistleblower whistle blower and we saw from the acting deny today as he was pairing these questions from lawmakers he said look it is not my job to investigate this complaint that was up to the inspector general he he found this complaint to be credible any went on to say that he believes both the inspector general and this whistleblower did essentially exactly what you're supposed to do. In this situation. I want to stress that I believe that the whistle blower and the inspector general have acted in good faith throughout I I have every reason to believe that they have done everything by the book and followed the law so you can see him sort of stepping out there and offering the defense he could he also admitted that he does not know who this whistle blower as he does not want to know who this whistle-blower as though he's committed to maintaining this person's protections and ensuring they're not retaliated against Jake and Sarah the the acting director of National Intelligence McGuire was asked multiple times about his conversations with President trump about this he refused to answer but there was was one part of his conversations with President trump that he was willing to discuss. That's right jake I mean. This is obviously a point of frustration for lawmakers. They wanted to know whether he and the president had ever talked about the complaint. He wouldn't say anything about that but he was asked to. The president want to know who this whistle blower was. Did he want you to find find out. Here's what he said did the president of the United States ask you to find out the identity of the whistle blower. I can say although I would not normally discuss my conversations with the president. I can tell you emphatically no now. He also confirmed that no one else at the White House no one else at the Justice Justice Department has asked him to try to figure out who the whistle blower is but jake you can imagine lawmakers were very skeptical. Today they had a lot of questions for him about why he would have taken a complaint that mentions the president and Attorney General Bill Bar by name and then gone to the White House and the Justice Department indeed Sara Murray thanks so much complaint lays out in detail the whistle blowers concerns concerns the president trump was pushing a foreign power Ukraine to investigate his potential twenty twenty opponent senior Justice correspondent Evan Perez with me now and Evan. What what exactly does the whistle blower say about President Trump's conduct well jake this is the bombshell really in the complaint and it has to do with what exactly the president was up up to when he was making these conversations saying these things to the president of Ukraine part of the complaint says in part I have received information from multiple. US government government officials that the president of the United States is using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country into twenty twenty US election obviously Jake that is the the center of this controversy now that the White House has released a phone call. Everyone can make a judgment to determine whether or not they believe this is what the president was doing asking. The Ukrainians needs to investigate his likely rival in the twenty twenty election heaven. What does this whistle blower saying the letter about how the White House handled the aftermath of the phone call right end what the whistle blower says that there was an attempt to cover up essentially people at the White House knew that this could be a problem and so what the whistle blower lower says in part is this. I learned from multiple. US officials that senior White House officials have have intervened to lock down all records of the phone call. This is the Ukrainian phone call especially the official word for word transcript of the call that was produce. This set of actions underscored to me that White House officials understood stood the gravity of what transpired in the call and Jake according to this to this whistleblower other phone calls other interactions were handling it in a different manner or this one was handled in a completely separate way and again. That's that's leading to all of the accusations of a cover up all right. Evan Perez thank you so much the New York Times first reported in CNN and has confirmed that president trump earlier today told staff from the United States mission to the United Nations that he wanted to know who provided information to the whistle blower about his call call with Ukrainian president and whoever talked to the whistle blower was quote close to a spy and then he said quote in the old days spies were dealt with differently an apparent allusion to executions. I WANNA bring in C. N. N. White House correspondent bore Sanchez or as how was this met by staffers. Jake many any were stunned. According to The New York Times some actually even laughed this was a crowd of about fifty people according to the reporting of the UN Ambassador Basseterre Kelly Kraft was also in the room for this at least one of these people was taking notes and that's how we know what the president said listen to this quote specifically the president saying unquote. I want to know who's the person who gave the whistle blower the information because that's close to a spy you know what we used to do. In the old days when we were smart about spies and treason right we used to handle it a little differently than we do now. Jake the president making an apparent suggestion that these people should potentially face the death penalty very noteworthy considering the issues circling this president regarding obstruction of justice in the past and the fact that these officials could potentially become witnesses in the very near future also because the acting head of the deny was testifying at the time that this whistle blower acted lawfully and and did the right thing jake. There's certainly going to be questions about witness. Intimidation based on those remarks Boris. We are also just learning that Corey Lewin douse key the president's his former campaign manager is in conversations with the White House about potentially heading up the impeachment team to defend president trump. That's Rijeka the familiar face returning to center stage potentially of this kind of gives you an idea of the scramble behind the scenes at the White House with people close to the president telling CNN that they wonder if the White House has a plan to respond to this impeachment inquiry according to multiple sources Corey Lewandowski had conversations with White House officials about joining warning some kind of team to respond to this inquiry notably Stephanie Grisham the press secretary told CNN there are no plans to form an impeachment response team low. Lohan Dow ski told CNN that he had not spoken directly to president trump but he didn't totally deny the reporting altogether Jacobs right last resort Lewandowski. He was testifying on Capitol Hill among the things they said was that he doesn't see anything wrong with lying to journalists which is essentially the same thing as lying to the American people yeah. Boris thanks so much much more on our breaking news including cluding if the whistle blower will testify before Congress you're watching a special expanded edition of the
Whistleblower complaint has been declassified and contains no 'surprises,' GOP lawmaker says
"And we have some breaking news just coming in representative Chris Stewart but he is a Republican from Utah. He is a member of the House Intelligence Committee. He has just revealed on twitter that the whistle blowers complaint that some members of Congress. I have been reviewing throughout the day today that it has now been declassified. He says the ADS in his tweet. I encourage you all to read it. It has not yet been made available to the general public but obviously it's declassification is a major step in that direction again that news coming in from a member of the House Intelligence Committee you Chris Stewart Republican from Utah with US tonight Andrew Desa Diario Congressional reporter for Politico and Jackie alumini political reporter for the Washington Post host and author of the papers morning newsletter power up thanks to both of you for being with US Andrew. Let me just start with you this news we are just getting about the whistle blowers lowers report. We have been hearing members of Congress today. Some very suggestive things about its content it now would seem to be a matter of time before all of us get to see it. Is that correct that's right. There's no timetable yet for the release of this document or these documents rather. It's probably a very long whistleblower complaint based on what I heard from lawmakers today but the D. Classic declassification process has essentially been completed. That's what Congressman Stewart was announcing. Something important to remember here was that lawmakers on the intelligence Belgian Committee only got to view the content of the complaint today they did not get to view the full inspector general's report which they expect to be delivered to Capitol Hill sometime tomorrow or a on Friday that report will show corroborating documents interviews with other people who might have knowledge of the allegations that the whistle blower has leveled against either the president or other individuals in the White House so that is going to be another really important piece of information for lawmakers to view here in the coming days Jackie. I'm wondering what you're hearing about the potential impact of this of this whistle blowers complaint you have some Republicans even Ben Sasse from Nebraska. I think we've put his quote up earlier. not saying nothing to see here yeah well. I think it's pretty notable that sense you know post four. PM Today when the whistle blowers complaint was finally finally made available to members of Congress that there hasn't been a Republican who has come out with as forceful of defenses we've seen if president trump earlier during the day but I think this just increases the amount of pressure that the acting director of the DNA wire is going to be under tomorrow when he has to publicly testify in front of the House intelligence committee behind closed doors and in front of closed doors you know he's in a pretty precarious situation. As my colleagues reported today you know he threatened mm to resign if he was not able to be forthcoming with the information that he is aware of with regards to the whistle blowers kamate complaints you know he's already come under scrutiny and severe criticism for the way he's handled the complaint up until now and I think tomorrow is going to be a real test with the intelligence community watching to see how he handles it and whether or not he's truthful with the way that he I think calls out the White House for some of the falsehoods that they've they've been putting forth as Andrew knows as well you know the White House pushed out all of their talking points today to house Democrats who then and quickly leaked it to reporters so we know exactly what the White House is saying about this episode and the President's conversation with the Ukrainian president and it's not based in reality and so you know I think it'll be up to a wire to call out you know what he is telling lawmakers behind closed doors in the skiffs about the reality the whistle blowers complaint and what the narrative that the White House is trying to push forward themselves. We should know to Joseph Maguire. DNA DNA did deny threatening threatening to resign. Jacobs reports certainly are out there. Obviously this is a name that's new to a lot of people in the last couple of days of the director of national intelligence new to the job as well. The Wall Street Journal was reporting in terms of Joseph Maguire's background quote McGuire was viewed as a steady hand by Democrats and Republicans alike when he was named by Mr Trump the political winds in in Washington in the glare of congressional hearings are a long way from Mr Maguire's roots which lie in the secretive work of special operations units that conduct dangerous missions to battle terrorists terrorists and retrieve hostages. He's been thirty six years as a navy seal eventually commanding the Naval Special Warfare Command Andrew Jackie was getting into this but in terms of the a very peculiar situation that Maguire finds himself in here. You've got this whistleblowers. Complaint reached the Inspector General that said this needs to go go to Congress and then you had McGuire saying no. What can you expect from him tomorrow? Oh I think the question that Democrats in particular WanNa see answered is the extent to which he was in communication with the Justice Department ahead of the potential release of this whistle blower complaint to Congress. which is you know as required by by law the questions could be anything from you know did the Justice Department reach out to you? I did you see guidance from the Justice Department of course the law states that they're the deny should would act independently from the Justice Department when it comes to these matters that'll be a top question for Democrats to ask and to try to get answers on if they don't get answers from the acting. DNA fifty nine tomorrow we reported yesterday that a couple of Democrats on the Intelligence Committee which by the way is a much smaller committee compared to other panels on Capitol Hill all a bunch of Democrats really do want to see chairmanship get more aggressive and more aggressively confront these witnesses at these hearings which as we've seen in the past asked for example last week with Corey Lewandowski where they're just not answering questions in the relying on these executive privilege claims from the White House so a lot of Democrats are going to want to see more aggressive confrontation tation in in that respect I asked chairmanship about this last night and he wouldn't commit to any punitive measures ahead of time but this is just a reflection of sort the seismic shift we have seen over the last few days among the House Democratic Caucus. They've really unified by the unified behind these Ukraine scandal in terms of their outrage. we saw the number of course of lawmakers supporting an impeachment inquiry jump to I believe it's around two hundred nineteen right now. which is a majority of the house? You only need any two hundred eighteen votes to impeach the president on the floor so it really is reaching a serious situation here and Speaker Pelosi obviously jump started did that with her with her pronouncement. Yesterday we mentioned a minute ago that Chris Stewart a member of the intelligence committee. The House Intelligence Committee said that the whistle blowers complaint had been declassified declassified. NBC News has now confirmed that NBC News has confirmed the whistle blowers complaint has been declassified also with minimal redaction NBC the news is now reporting and that it is expected to be made available to the public tomorrow morning. So that's the latest we know about

"Corey Lewandowski said that of course it was it was like man dog bites man we all are aware that the administration does not place a value on being truthful and honest and so he was he it was nice that he would come out and stated so bluntly but it was no big surprise. I mean can can sim can just be honest about what was said. this is a classic Democrat moment here you have Tim Kaine talking about the need for Cortland ask you to be honest and he's being dishonest about Cortland ask you said Corey Lewandowski said that there was. nothing there's nothing that requires him to be truthful with the media. guess what that's true. that is reality and the and the media can act like public officials. should be run out of town the moment that they say anything that is on truthful to the media but. this is as old as politics itself. you know they can try to make it sound like this is some terrible crime against the Republic but in reality the media is oppositional to the president a lot of people recognize that this media in particular the mainstream media ease dishonest at its core about what it's real mission is day to day. they don't seek to. shed light on the truth in America they seek to destroy trump. why should we have to sit around a pretend otherwise. and why should the White House look I I think one of the greatest innovations of this White House is to recognize that ninety percent of the press corps is a bunch of lives bunch of Democrats and of that ninety percent I'd say ninety percent of the ninety percent are activists really make almost no effort whatsoever of being objective journalists and so with that speaking of contempt with that degree of contempt. directed at the White House why not why not respond in kind okay if you guys are gonna try to misrepresent what we're doing if you're gonna spread lies about us all the time we're gonna call you fake news or as trump has said very fake news. if he wasn't speaking some degree of of truth without I think it's. generally very truthful. but if there wasn't a lot of truth to it then the media wouldn't be nearly as upset with the. why does it bother them so much when trump says big news. why does it get them so riled up. when he talks about how they they keep presenting the stories and the stories that are that are fake are generally always about trump. they don't make these huge chairs the other I mean this there are times has been making. a mockery of itself last couple of days with these are these two reporters who just. can't get out of their own way. and now they're they were complaining all others there complaining about how. fox news fox news is the problem looking out fox twisted things. you know we are you at your vox dot com claiming that it was just a just an honest mistake that got removed the editing process okay well if it was just an honest mistake that got removed in the editing process the fact that the additional accuser has never on the record accuse them of anything and her friends play in the cabin did nothing why did the authors also leave that out of a long and PR interview. just never comes up on. almost like they're trying to ram through a narrative did you damage and the figure the clean up afterwards. they hate being called fake news I know that at CNN for example if you ever refer to them as fake news publicly and I know about it even if you're just somebody who's not doesn't do that much media if you're for to fake news CNN. they in lesser ministration official. they'll make exceptions for that but they will not have you on air they they are very sensitive about it they make all kinds of. claims about how that's just that's unacceptable it's too much it's beyond the pale. I like willow and ask you did because it reminds us that we don't have to just sit and take it. that in the same week that they try to straight up smear operational Cavanaugh. there is another option there's another alternative. and that alternative is. fight back. we better do it this year and the good news is trump is deathly gonna do it but you better be prepared wherever you are across the country if you want to be involved in this are reelection in one way or another if you want to share your thoughts in your values you better be ready to fight because the other side is coming after all of us on the stuff now on I heart.

Santa Fe wine and Chile the us to just around the corner I know if you saw that early today but as CNN hand on Corey Lewandowski after his just abysmal line performance yesterday I am from the house Judiciary Committee house oversight committee. and and I mean yesterday was just a lesson in now how Republicans are going to stone wall and why and I'll boost gate for the trump administration in Cortland Dalkey has announced he's going to run for United States Senate and yet after all of that after kori lied yesterday and just bluster Dan stone walled in and just basically try to hold up and cover up. CNN invited him on. today. a man who said I have no obligation to tell the truth. to the media. I was hoping I was hopeful I was optimistic that CNN would not repeat the same mistakes they made in twenty six twenty fifteen and twenty sixteen that every time down from opens his mouth let's go live to Donald Trump on his golden ceramic throne. but. once again they're showing that all they care about is how many eyeballs they can get to CNN and don't matter if it's the truth doesn't matter of you know all we care about is how many people can we. make want we don't care if they're angry or hate us. or never come back it's just mind blowing. they're probably going to repeat the same mistake can get down from elected again that they did in twenty fifteen and CNN and soccer and and unfortunately Chris Cuomo. very responsible for that Cuomo I don't know if it was under directions or his own put personal initiative in twenty fifteen twenty sixteen I mean it seemed like he was almost I mean once out of his mouth is him don't like down from his old you know blah blah. the other side of his mouth let's go line every opportunity to Donald Trump got him the nomination got him elected and now to invite. the known admitted liar as recently as yesterday. Corey Lewandowski. back on. and then sit there and try and catch you middle line there will your line Corey window windy liar you line now for instance and all of that and and and the blowback the the reaction on on social media with the media in an extremely harsh. I don't know if you know of did CNN not consider themselves a news network is that just reality TV is that just. entertainment. I'm hoping they see themselves as a journalist and a news network. and nothing less than that search for the truth. don lemon has been you know he's been blasting his good pal I mean they laugh about it and probably have beers after dawn gets off but he's been blasting Chris Cuomo a little bit about having kellyanne Conway and the spokesperson for the campaign and all that on it's like they never tell the truth why would you provide them with the platform. become one in line. or pay them. as they did with Corey Lewandowski here the pace spokesperson. as they do with ricksantorum. who told survivors of park land. you know rather than spend your time trying to advocate for gun control you'd rather you could better spend your time learning CPR. they suspended him for like a Cup of coffee and now he's back on I don't know I don't get it I mean there's already fox which is twenty four seven line especially Laurie anger Hammond Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity. hate wired with a huge audience. you don't have to help him CNN just stick to OB tech UPD objective reporting. you know what that is. it's not hard to figure out but Corey Lewandowski after yesterday's appearance. inexcusable. I don't know. what can we do nothing what can we do to make CNN accountable nothing. all right back after the news will talk to the acting director New Mexico museum of art when I reach out to me when I yell at me want to be on the show. "Fatal mistake accusing Corey Lewandowski of lying wait to hear what he said about people that work at C. N. N. epic video on my page now Tennessee dot com. the reason I gave it up is because. you never know how much nicotine is in these things and I I I guarantee you your gonna vape more than you'll smoke cigarettes I don't how many cigarettes you smoke because it's it's there's there's no carcinogens and it it's just water vapor but you get the nicotine delivery if you're addicted to it you got it the problem is. blood pressure my budget I will ever go to the doctor standard ordinary everyday blood pressure I've never had high blood pressure blood pressure would be higher than ever doctor what are you doing this I don't know I I'm I'm nothing different yeah the fact I was vaping never occurred to me. then now one of the people with me at one of those occasions that I was after that well wait a minute you're smoking Aziz I said that's right. and the doctor said well that's it yet all that nicotine in there is causing your blood pressure despite all I had no idea nicotine that all hell yes it's not just. that your blood vessels contract because of the carcinogens in the tobacco that because all this cardio vascular nicotine can have a drastic effect in intense quantities of very. hi quantities and with it one of the things that nicotine people that make the E. cigarettes pack it in there. I because that's what keeps your buying and that's what keeps you coming back. now when I was in the midst of this big tobacco was in panic over this. it was a way to give nicotine without having to smoke cigarettes without having to. get. carcinogens delivered into your system so big tobacco on immediately began working on state legislatures to get them outlawed because they're dangerous they pose great risks of people aren't aware of it written capitalism there was a gigantic competitor just getting started and then at one point big tobacco started buying up various E. cigarette manufacturers there's a whole bunch of manufactures a bunch of brand names one of the biggest names out there now is Julia J. U. U. L. they're being soon left and right there trying to make it clear we're not we're not trying to sell this to people don't do it we're trying to sell these things to people that want to quit smoking all of years he is water vapor that's all it is nicotine in the water vapor there aren't any tobacco like carcinogens in an E. cigarette this is. if if if you can find a way to use these things moderately they would be probably a good way to quit smoking tobacco. if you win if you would have a course in hell cigarettes so let's go to these two sound bites now that you own all watch what I'm not going to mention this woman's name she's a millennial the point here is not. to cause her any trouble it's just it's an illustration how television puts people on that really don't know. out what they're talking about in many ways but take care. so. here's the first question what what was your experience with that with vaping basically the first time I began on be paying it was about the end of twenty sixteen beginning of twenty seventeen I would always use a very but I would never use the actual draw upon itself I always use a strawberry beet juice and I would just fill that out and just keep using the almost like to the point when I would fall asleep at night I would just have to keep using and because it was just so darn thing and then as time progressed I transferred into New York School at the university of St John's where I used my friends jul one night and I just continued puffing and maybe like twenty to thirty times just doing that in my system you know nothing else and I don't know where I just felt really hot you know that feeling you get you can tell you're going to get some expect and I almost couldn't even get upstairs to my room in time before I was just vomiting and it lasted between like two and three hours no different than the first time you smoke a cigarette. no different. and she just kept increasing the quantities because it was addicting she liked it may contain the most addictive drug out there. okay so so far so far so good but there's nothing in this story that is different from any other nicotine delivery except maybe the patch and you'd have to put you know to equal the amount of nicotine in a in any cigarette you have to put twenty five patches on your arm. and you know nobody's nobody's going to do that so the the next by okay your twenty one did you smoke regular cigarettes be for this it's not a cigarette so that's the initial thought you know it so it can be maybe worse than that the flavors are attractive it's a new item coming out everyone's using in your site out there he thought it was appealing I almost think that its worse than a cigarette why in my eyes just because it's addictive and on just the age group of getting involved like I've been outside around campus and had younger people like maybe someone in sixteen come up to me with money asking all were you go inside the store and buy a jewel from angel pond so there are always around I see no benefits to the product so there's no need now the jewel pond that's the nicotine that's what you put inside the gets heated up and produces the water vapor that you inhale and that's the nicotine and then a flavor it so that tastes good while you're doing all of this it's just a nicotine delivery system to say that it's worse than cigarettes. that's that's a judgment call there's there's no carcinogens in it. unless somebody wants to try to claim that this much nicotine is a carcinogen nicotine isn't I'm I imagine all of the do good liberals out they're going to you don't even know what he's talking about nicotine's not a carcinogen fox it isn't otherwise they picked up the patch they would tell you not to use the patch or put the cancer producing pattern you're sure it's not it's not cancerous it's not a carcinogen it's just a detective as heck it's the most addictive drug on earth do not doubt me on this. but worse there's no mind altering Pleasants with you yes there is it's it's so subtle. that's that's the real the subtlety of nicotine is the thing about it it's not blood pressure spike that can cause. be caused by that much nicotine in a concentrated dose least that's my personal experience with it I would never sit here and generalize and say that my experience with it is normal and what everybody else is going to be but I can tell you that it's not worse than cigarettes. but even even cigarettes cigarettes how many years does it take for them to kill you if they do you realize that still has not been scientifically pre we are much more certain of global warming than we are that cigarettes cause cancer. how many how many people do you know who got lung cancer never touched a cigarette secondhand smoke right sorry fox not the answer. and how many people do you know who do smoke and have not gotten cancer my got something else see we're all going to die of something strange as that may sound to you youngsters we're all gonna die a something usually due to genetics. and sold cigarettes they take years and years and years to wipe you out. not recommending them don't misunderstand I'm the adult in the room this program is where real veil is this program is where the essence of common sense. resides now before we go to the break I mentioned at the top of the show the very first thing I mentioned Democrats. the media is a living at the Democrats the media is because the media is just Democrats Democrats in the media are manic Democrats in Congress. they had Corey Lewandowski up there. more hearings on Russian collusion. have they forgotten. the monarch report may I remind you all of the mullah report the mother report authored by the estimable Mister integrity Mr are memorable Weber J. Muller the nineteenth Robert Muller in his report said their wives not all collusion. zip zero nada. and he got this close to saying that there was no obstruction but he firmly sad. not bar not not not trump Robert J. Mahler the nineteen said there was no collusion so here the Democrats running a hearing with Corey Lewandowski trying to prove collusion. there wasn't any lower in Taos ski had nothing to give them. trump did not hello he did not cheat he did not metal the Russians did not metal the right what they might have tried the Russians did not cause any thing to happen in our elections they didn't change one vote and that is from a Mahler indictment. of a Russian troll farm yes you may have forgotten but Robert J. Miller the nineteenth himself Mr integrity Mr honorable sad not one vote was changed as a result of these indictments of these Russian troll farms not one election outcome was altered yet here are these Democrats demanding that low and does he tell them and we would ask you didn't have anything to say. they claimed executive privilege on a couple things that Democrats bombed out is the bottom they bombed out the Nadler committee bombed out trying to get low and asking the Democrats in the media today are you live it they think the Democrats are incompetent they think that Lorne Taos ski was a sitting duck thank Lou in Dallas you should've been walked away in chains on the way to jail after the opportunity they had yesterday you want evidence grab audio sound my number twenty three CNN just moments ago the info Babe Breanna killer is talking to the Democrat from Tennessee Steve Coll and this is a guy that had the bucket of Kentucky fried chicken. at the committee hearing trying to illustrate that somebody was a chicken refusing to show up and testify. yeah I was a G. Bhargava bar refused to show what he found out that it was a gotcha session and so Colin goes out and grabs a bucket of Kentucky fried chicken a push to start eating it. he was getting a breast I think. white chicken breast if I recall. right there in the committee room. and his official committee chair. in front of his official committee desk. trying to convey that Attorney General Barr was a coward and a chicken for not showing up okay so Breanna killer CNN. is a real legal lecturing call one on how the hell could you guys have blown this I was watching this yesterday with legal experts long time political watchers and they all wanted to know how the committee didn't see this approach calming how the committee was a better prepared for this approach by Lewandowski who was appearing under subpoena and is I mean quite frankly known for being petulant we knew he was.

Hey wait a minute away from there anybody got a finally they were able to attach a giant condom over the top of the facility in. I know there's I don't know what what I do that story with a giant exploding semen facility it's bull semen. that's what they said sure come on it's big business CNN did a piece yesterday because they hate and they are the Democrat party here's a good website let's go to Alyson Camerata let's go to this house in camera thing now here's the headline in the CNN story for yesterday. how to impeach a Supreme Court justice that's a lot well how to guide for the Democrats if you want to impeach out to god we got a picture of a bunch of Democrats sitting around the street watching Christine Blasi forward as she expresses her confused to states on national television they'll believe her because they're confused too. so mutual confusion society of sorts. Corey Lewandowski testified on Capitol Hill yesterday and the deadlines are still flying windows keys slams Hillary Clinton during hearing this is the daily caller this is a fun one Hayes he said that is being asked in the opening statements you talked about all the emails he's turned over and is that I also received hundreds of thousands of emails some days with as many of thousand emails in a single day and he said and I'm like Hillary Clinton I don't think I ever deleted any of those I was in his opening statement that got him upset they were very the penguin was very upset yesterday but let let's get to admit it let's get to that that Alison sh Malleson Cammarata think combative Lewin Taos ski frustrates Democrats as impeachment Proby hearing descends into disarray I think that would be fair. when Taos ski derails dams impeachment hearing by refusing to answer questions without a copy of the molar report this was really funny. because the penguin Nadler why aren't aren't aren't he was are referring to some passage and they Muller report and he wanted to allude to ask you to respond to it and he kept saying well is there a book do you have a page number I don't have the report and it's going on and on and Nadler became furious and frustrated and and he was in a tizzy I think you could say was in a tizzy and finally they got him a copy of the report any openness out what page isn't what paragraph what sense and they're like you know you're slowing us down and and yeah I just want to respond intelligently to your question I need to have what you're talking about in front of me I didn't bring a copy of the mall a report with me you know was as homework hi my book bag over here let me go get it. but that was the start of the Techni opening thing it was great I was laughing everybody was laughing and Luke does he was yanking his chain a little and it was very funny and then the Democrats just yelled at him and shouted at him and they called him names and chicken and stuff like that and honestly they're picking fights with them they really were and you know the women too because they figure they won't get punched in the hallway. and then of course does he went fox and friends this morning that he went over to CNN after his fox and friends appearance where Alison sh Malleson Cammarata was there to greet him and things didn't go very well here either a little bit of back and forth on CNN Corey Lewandowski this morning I have no obligation to have a candid conversation with the media whatsoever so you lied to the media which she doesn't know what. I'm sorry right pose of respect now he's turning the tables on his out your set now all I have no he said I have no obligation to have candid conversations the media that's a simple true statement she then converts that too so you lied to the media well none of those words were in what I said you've just it's a classic example of they take what you've said they change it until it's not what you've said and then they attack you for what you didn't say what he didn't say that so she's attacking for something you didn't say then he turns around and says I'm sorry you just tired Andrew McCabe from the FBI who was fired from the FBI for repeatedly lying under oath about top secret stuff and him breaking all the rules and then lying under oath which are you know Michael general Flynn is looking at present time for less and CNN hired this man but Jeremiah and put him on TV to live together a hundred and twenty viewers so while Luke does he turns it on and you continue to employ these people Alison. deputy director of the FBI. with selection I get it I. I think this is important. lying. her injury quite and I need to employ a. continue. the question was but perjury if you want to ask the questions. and become a journalist yourself you are journalist or you're not I mean is that we are you. which one because I'm happy to answer your question if. you're you're listening with your mouth and what I want you to listen to is this is important do you live. yes or no answer your question yes or no I'm as honest as I can as often as I can be. welcome to CNN your limousines outside Mr Lewin does get there is and and again he's like he's putting up an issue shouting them down because you know what they're they're two hundred twenty listeners here that they they hired this liar who you know they crucified general Flynn on CNN and then they hire Andrew McCabe. anybody anything. also during the hearing this was quite funny they had a recess at one point I think it was five minutes long and Corey Lewandowski stepped outside and tweeted about his possible upcoming Senate campaign because if he had the media's rapt attention he was on all the phony baloney cable networks on now he's talking about running for Senate in New Hampshire so he sent out a tweet yesterday in the middle of the hearing when they had the the the microscope on him and and that upsets them that the Democrats and the media but I repeat myself were upset by that why well they can't explain that. they can't I let's go well let's go back to was at number eleven number eleven also we got a couple of other funny things too but here's a hello Corey Lewandowski on I'm the news media's two and a half years jihad over Russian collusion which was all a lie and they have no interest in finding out why the Obama administration didn't stop the Russians from tampering with our election and bite on the trunk campaign and use foreign intelligence operatives all over the world and then covered it up they have no injury entirety of the news media has no interest in any of this Corey Lewandowski I think that this fake Russia collusion narrative is the greatest crime committed against the American people in our generation if not ever ever this is a person who was duly elected by the American people. and members of certain bodies refused to accept those election results you know you are if this were done. by different present to.

"On Capitol Hill house Democrats have put their first impeachment hearing in the books correspondent Jerry both lander says testimony from former trump campaign aide Corey Lewandowski took a combative turn but that's by the White House I know this might be happening is your question or you can have a conversation by shell most of the questions focused on the president's request to Lewandowski the detail then Attorney General Jeff sessions to rein in the Russia investigation technology and to congressman Hank Johnson he didn't follow through and never delivered the message you chickened out I went on vacation no one doubts he said he didn't think the president asked him to do anything

Hearing with Trump loyalist Corey Lewandowski ends after 6 hours
"If you read the early reviews of today's hearing in the House Judiciary Committee by which I mean the reviews written about four are four and a half hours into the five and a half hour hearing then you would think the hearing was a mess the daily beast headline at five fifty five pm. I'm said Corey Lewandowski testimony quickly devolves into a mess but a minute later literally a minute after that was filed everything having changed it was a half hour left in that hearing when everything changed in Corey Lewandowski change coralline Dusky ran out of ways to avoid answering questions when he faced a full half hour of concentrated cross examination by lawyer hired by the committee to question witnesses in its impede from investigation the Republicans on the committee were determined to make a mockery of the committee process from the start we have never seen a more childish and abusive the use of committee process and committee rules than what the Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee did today. This was the low point in the history of house hearings procedurally the Republicans made repeated motions to shut down the hearing to just adjourn the hearing close it down and when those motions were defeated instantly by voice vote the Republicans then called for as is their right roll call votes that they knew would take time. They knew they were going to lose and they were just trying to waste time and add to the circus atmosphere that they created corey. Lou Dusky was ready for a circus. He was was not ready for serious questioning. When Republicans took their five minute turns questioning the witness they ignored corey. Lewandowski is role in the president's attempt to shut shutdown the muller investigation as described by Corn Corey Lewandowski own testimony in the mullahs report and his own notes that are reproduced in the mall the report Republican questioning deliberately did not make any sense but the question on the democratic side also mostly didn't make sense because of Republican publican interference with that questioning and the simple fact that should be obvious by now that most members of Congress are not very good at this they did not run for the district attorney they ran for the House of Representatives and every once in a while they have to play district attorney in committee hearings and generally for most of them. It doesn't go oh very well except for the people who have actually been prosecutors and so for hours on end it was a chaotic hearing with Corey Lewandowski becoming increasingly singley emboldened in his refusal to answer any question for which the answer was not already contained in the report he was asked by several Democrats to read passages the report and he repeatedly refused to do so cars when Eric Swallow Zeroed in on page ninety one of the Mullahs report which reproduced Corey Lewandowski own connotes of a speech Donald Trump dictated to him for Attorney General Jeff sessions to deliver about the Mueller Investigation Wild Wild Jeff sessions recused from supervising or commenting on the Muller Investigation in the trump written speech jeff sessions would announce that the special special prosecutor's investigation of the president is unfair and the special prosecutor would only be allowed from this point forward to investigate the possibility of quote election meddling for future elections so that nothing can happen in future elections harassment ex well well ask Corey Lewandowski to read his notes outs of his conversation with the president as reproduced in the mall report and Lewin Dusky refused to read his words allow were you were ashamed to read them out loud and you didn't deliver those words to the person the president asks you to did. You have a conscious of guilt. I have nothing to be guilty of congressman. Thank you still feel guilty today. And that's why you can't read it out loud cars when you're welcome to read the words if you'd like when the members of the committee finally finished their questioning almost five hours after hearing began it was finally time for the thirty minutes of questioning reserved for attorney. Barry Burke who is serving as a consultant of the Committee Hybrid Chairman Nadler Adler and chaos broke out once again as the Republicans pretended there was something wrong with having council ask questions in the committee even though the committee has done that many many times before especially in investigations of a president and after another round votes trying and failing to close down the hearing completely finally finally Barry Burke closed in on Corey Lewandowski for what was the worst public half hour of Corey Lewandowski life. My question to you sir is on national television. Did you lie about your relationship with the special counsel and whether they sought your interview I I don't know prior to the Muller report being published in redacted form. Did you ever misrepresent what you did on behalf of the president. I can't think of an instance where that would have occurred. Let me show you an interview that you did on May Fourteenth Twentieth Nineteen. Excuse me a I'll show it to you from February twenty-second twenty one thousand nine. Let me show it to you. Excuse me Ma'am number twenty nine thousand nine. Thank you don't ever remember the president ever asking me to get involved with Jeff sessions or the department injustice in any way shape so did you hear that Sir that was used saying on MSNBC. You don't ever remember the president ever. We're asking you to get involved with. Jeff sessions or department of Justice in any way shape or form. That wasn't true. Was it sir. I heard that UH and that was not true was it. I've no obligation beyond to the media's because there's just as dishonest as anybody else so you're admitting sir. You're not being truthful in that clip correct my interview with remember. This can be in any way you'd like. Did you lie on national television. Sorry about the president giving you a message. It's the attorney general about the special counsel's investigation. I don't recall that particular day and my mindset at the time I couldn't answer that. Corey Lewandowski told Robert Muller's investigators that he didn't want to deliver the president's message to Jeff Sessions at the Justice Department Jeff Sessions Office because he did not want the justice this apartment logs to show that he visited the Attorney General. He didn't WANNA public record of that meeting. Barry Burke pressed Corey Lewandowski on why he didn't want a public record of of him entering the Justice Department. So is it a fact. He didn't want to public log because you knew what you doing wrong so the just as the president went to an unofficial official nongovernment employees you wanted to make sure there was not a record of it isn't that right sir. No log creates a record of your visiting with the Attorney General so I would think a log world creator record degreaser that you admitted to the special counsel. You didn't want to have a record of your visit and that's why that's one of the reasons why you didn't go to the Department of Justice because she did not want to public log of your visit correct. I've never been to the Department of Justice. I don't know what goes on the Department of Justice. I don't really want to find out what happened. Department of Justice based on what's happened to other people involving the Department of Justice to be honest with you. Barry Burke insisted that the reason Corey Lewandowski did not personally deliver the president's message to Jeff. Yes actions is that Corey Lewandowski knew that would not be legal. You said so. You never did anything other than what was completely legal when you said that circus you knew if you delivered that message that told the Attorney General to instruct the special counsel delimit the investigation to exclude the president that would not be illegal. Isn't that correct surf Mr Burke. I didn't have the privilege of going to Harvard Law School. I'm not an attorney so what I know is. I didn't think at the time that the president asked me to deliver a message that anything was illegal about it. I didn't have the privilege to go to Harvard Law. So if you're telling me that in your opinion that would have been illegal then that's your opinion too but I never assume that that never thought about at the time I haven't thought about now. Why didn't you deliver the message that the president ask you delivered unless you didn't deliver it because you knew it was improper to deliver. Mr Burglar wasn't a priority. It sure reads like a priority in the mullahs report throughout the day. Corey Lewandowski refused to answer multiple questions agents about his conversations with anyone working in the White House. Berry Burke showed that this was not exactly a sacred principle to Corey Lewandowski. I can't speak to conversations that may or may not have with senior staff members of the administration to preserve the privilege they've invoked so it's such a sacred privilege as you would not disclose private communications because that would be wrong you testimony sir now. My testimony is at the White House directed that disclosed the substance of any discussions with the president advisors to protect executive branch confidentiality and I recognize that's not my privilege but I am. I am respecting the decision of the White House. Didn't you publish a book in which you disclose these very conversations. You had with senior White House officials which book you reference. I've written to New York Times bestsellers on a year so you refresh my memory with one. I'm asking you about the bestseller lead trumpy trump leading off our discussion. Tonight is democratic. Congressman Eric Swallow of California is one of the able questioners on the House Judiciary Committee because because he is a former deputy district attorney himself also joining us Mimi Roca former assistant. US Attorney Southern District of New York an MSNBC legal legal contributor cars. I WanNa start with something you brought up to Chairman Nadler when when it was your turn already been one brief recess in the hearing and so I'm not sure whether this was I could tell us whether this was coordinated with the chairman. Not specifically said you asked the chairman to consider holding holding Corey Lewandowski in contempt of Congress for the way he was testifying in that hearing which I have to say in any previous in Congress he would have been held in contempt of Congress in the first five minutes based on what we saw what's going to happen with the question of contempt of Congress for Corey Lewandowski in Dusky. It's certainly on the table and I also think the to witness chairs next to him. empty chairs should mean empty pockets and they need to be fine. There need to be consequences and when you when you by the way I could listen to that Barry Burke Exchange all day and then he he he's just masterful and finally the truth came came out but that's not how an innocent person conducts themselves. That's how he wants to help the Congress understand. You know what the president did would present themselves. That's how a guilty person acts and so are the chairman is going to consider contempt and we're not going to stop it in Lawrence and I I saw just like you did the you know the twitter. you know hot takes on what all this meant and people said it was messy. It was frustrating and that's all true but if the opposite of of this is to do nothing and let the President get away with further obstruction. We're not GonNa do that either and we have court battles that are ongoing right now so the president may benefit in the short term from confusing people and telling people to obstruct but in the long-term there's going to be a cascade of court decisions in our favor and it's not going to be very good for the trump team. Carson there is one another alternative for the mess of it and that is letting Barry Burke to either all the questioning or let Barry Burke have the first half our and then let the mess follow that yeah and it also just depends as well on the witnesses. We should assume that most witnesses are going to be like Mister Lebowski. That's just the trump style. They haven't had to have any consequences for that as of late and yes I think you know just just like you want more cowbell. Give us more burke. He was very very good. maybe Roca one of the things that you don't have in the courtroom is the other side when in the middle of your questioning jumping up in all sorts of history on equate object to something in a courtroom you better be doing it based on the rules of evidence the Democrats

"Studios this is red eye radio hello and welcome he is Gerry McNamara Aymeric Carly as we move into a Wednesday Gary. I'm doing good. lots of zoo like things to talk about yeah this is the a few interesting things yesterday from the White House is directed not I not disclose the substance of any discussions with the president of advisers to protect exactly branch in actuality and I recognize this is not my privilege Brian respecting the white house's decision not only we are not a government employee but these questions are about the president's efforts to interfere with the criminal investigation of himself and nothing to do with official government business this is clearly just part of the president's continue to tempt a government cover up his actions is obstructing a congressional investigation by preventing you from telling the American people the truth about his misconduct **** what's the only real thing we all agree on the mall report was an influence but yeah we're Isabel. where is the bell. we don't do anything about it we want to talk about it because we think it makes the president look man. senator Douglas Collins Jerrold Nadler and then Corey Lewandowski what issue that was even on a mess and I know that's a B. C. and CNN yeah they came to the conclusion is people have no idea the Democrats have no idea what they're doing the only thing that I think you one night in a pre show meeting came to an agreement on well I'd buy Mustang agreement but we think it may be going in this direction don't be surprised after of Nadler. puts a contempt charge against Corey Lewandowski yeah it's it's one thing that's an easy move I was watching this play out during the day and I thought to myself you know when when that call started echoing. was somewhere in the mid to late afternoon when that started echoing. then I thought okay that's an easy move with it in a movie they can get a truck guy they can charge of trump guy was something and now there's been you know I've just chomping at the bit to get that done so you get that behind you and then what by the way I'm watching it and I'm I'm actually watching it in a waiting room and I'm sitting there in there that I don't know if you other people watching it. and I'm trying to gauge because our audience and then of course you and I what we do we pay close attention to this. I wanted to go around the room. and ask each of the individuals in that room they weren't really paying attention anyway so that that kind of makes my point here for me ahead of ahead of myself making my own point. I wanted to ask them do you know who that guy is do you know who Corey Lewandowski is and why he's there. because. Nadler will I'm sure go ahead charging with contempt. I don't go through the motions they'll do it's not even a performer there's really no per block the media will go it's it's funny because I think you asked was it yesterday or day before. what's next for the media or what what big thing for the media will happen you know the the whole the next cabin off thing that that fell short which was nothing to begin with that the New York times you know fail that drastically what's the next thing well you know now you can run your headlines war I don't know it'll be it'll be if it happens it'll be about twenty four hours and my question is let's say they do it Wednesday let's say he he hold them in contempt on later today on Wednesday or Thursday with hope will here's your question that I'll bring into that we always ask will it still be a story by Friday. he is well within the last twenty four to forty eight hours and and and I really think that's what you have the gauge things on politically look. I think right now even. part of it I won't see brilliance because I don't think it's by design but part of the effect of the president being so chaotic and always on Twitter and throwing things out there is a lot of people have kind of just you know tune that out. compartmentalize that even for the president when the president himself was directly involved I think they don't pay attention to a lot of it. now you bring in Corey Lewandowski and frankly I think the American people are just going to yawn at this that it is it is the it's it's exactly the the MO of Nadler and and Adam Schiff trying to make something out of nothing you'll get a contempt charge of fact if it goes that way beau me hold him in contempt and then nothing happened nothing happens and it doesn't even make a splash except for the media. don't have to attach trump's name to what. to tell people who Corey Lewandowski is all right I think that one of the reasons that even on MSNBC and CNN that you saw a lot of negative criticism on this yesterday that you know the Democrats are are clueless it's chaos is because. I believe that inside of both of those networks. they understand that they have lost a significant portion of their audience. and you know we talk about for example you know whether it's Rachel Maddow how Ennis and be seen what they have lost they didn't lose conservatives who were watching them they were losing what you call I believe our P. one which are you most loyal what you know of viewers that are actually liberal that are extremely liberal that hate trump but there gets to a point where you keep building up over and over again this time we've got him this time we've got him this time we've got him this time we've got him and. that's what the Democrats were trying to promote yesterday that the president's hiding something because corn we dug Corey Lewandowski keeps claiming executive privilege well you don't get to do executive priligy says no the president does and it was pointed out that does Jerrold Nadler know that Corey Lewandowski not is executive privilege it's the president that's calling the executive privilege on this not Corey Lewis owski he simply reflecting what the president seems and it was even that point even on the liberal networks are saying Nadler seems to be clueless on this I do think it's gotten to the point where the networks are saying Democrats you've burned us. how many bombs shells. never turned into anything and I think there's an exhaustion factor. for the last which is why they tuned out the liberal networks and I think even in the liberal networks there's an exhaustion that you people keep crying wolf and there's never a wolf. so I think that's what's going on are you mention the New York times story wanna play this here from we'll be talking about that coming up but just wanna play this quick quick from brick quick clip audio clip from brit Hume yesterday who was on fox news talking about the actual story because I I we said this on Monday will seem to be a story by Friday it might be but only because. they keep finding out more mistakes. at the end that is being brought to the attention of the American public by Republicans in the conservative media that's why it may be in the news and we stated that the only reason I might be in the news this Friday is because conservatives keep bringing it up but here's brit Hume on out when he was a newspaperman whether he could have presented this story his editor soon. there's a story that should never have gotten anywhere near print I mean this this this phone number now we're talking here about a second hand account from a witness that the authors did not speak to and who is not speaking. and he is said my friends to be saying this happened right so it isn't even a first hand account to right there you got a huge strike against if you're trying to get the story independently in the in the old New York times right. and then on top of that you have the fact that the woman herself is not talking the alleged victim is not talking and has told and she's told friends that she remember this so I can only imagine what would happen when I'm back in my newspaper days of I went to an editor this is what I've got thank goodness see and picking up a copy and throwing it across the room and you couldn't get anywhere near this is no where near publishable. and even when and when you we put it the way that he did the witnesses are talking to the the former you know the the the Clinton associate lawyer. he didn't speak to them he hasn't spoken no he isn't even publicly making the allegation it's people that know him that are saying that this lawyer guy says that he saw Kavanaugh's friend to do the sexual act. but its sources. telling them that this guy is saying it he won't talk about it he won't say whether it's true or not he won't go on the record the alleged victim that he won't go on the record about. V. friends of this alleged victim also tell the reporters that I'm sorry she doesn't remember this happening and none of our friends do either. right and could you and and so when you put it in that context that nobody is actually anybody who was actually involved in it is not talking right any editor word thurs salt would say you cannot put that into print. you can go with that kind of a sob story well because I mean you could at that point you could just go on I mean how many stories could you make up how what you're trying to build the intact. well it's like. they're trying to build integrity they're trying to rebuild integrity but you're right the idea that you want to maintain the integrity but the thing look forget about what conservatives think about The New York Times okay that's it's a given. we don't trust any of it all right so that's a wash. let's go back to the base of their readership. these are people who want you to bring something to the table that's gonna stick yeah if you've got something on drop on Cavanaugh on any of them make it happen otherwise **** down and shut up. because this is what we said about Adam Schiff I've seen evidence of collusion. turns out it was the best on the vessel that sky a meeting at that the trump tower are you kidding me. really the one everybody knows about right and that was the criminal act the one that trump junior actually released the emails remember the right yeah they they are setting up the meeting yeah and he got ahead of it and it's a book here's the series of emails of you guys want to read him and actually put it on social media that's what you've seen Mr Schiff and we went after chiffons what what well actually we opened we just opened up the Democrats the liberals. you're looking for your side to bring down trop. tell us how that's going. because Adam Schiff came up empty The New York Times I don't know how many times has come up flat CNN MSNBC we have this tax returns we have his tax returns turns out. they had something from years ago that showed a rich I paid a lot in taxes. time after time after time after time after time they fall short I'm just asking our liberal friends what are you going to get sick and tired of these people trying to make something happen out of nothing because they really have nothing I would be if if it were me wait a minute we didn't do it we actually were in that position Brett bear. it was during the twenty sixteen campaign season uhhuh and he said on his show that his sources told him that there was an indictment coming down on the whole Hillary email scandal within days and we said hours after he said that and I've got a ton of respect still today for Brett bear but we said you better be right your sources will burn you and if they bring you you lose credibility he got burned he got burned. if he went on to make a habit of that a practice of that. then of course he would get burned to the point where can service would say sorry..

Corey Lewandowski seized on this star turn today to battle Filibuster filibuster and at times openly taught house Democrats at this hearing they say Lewandowski's evasions and brazen tax make him look disrespectful even guilty but remember. This is also an adversarial process in times. Lewandowski was make no mistake effective at delaying the process and even ruffling his questioners is it corrected as reported in the mullahs report on June nineteenth two thousand seventeen. You met alone in the Oval Office with the president. Is there a book and page number. You can reference into place. I don't have a copy of the report in front of me volume two page ninety. I don't it's a big save guys a lot of guns in their. just troll job at this point and for all the folks that are on the left going what a smart **** you wanna smog error again he's a blank this is exactly the way Republicans felt when Peter strop was up there doing that stupid little shimmy so you can be upset about Corey Lewandowski if you're fine with Peter Schrock doing that stupid little show me now all mad gates as a representative of Florida congressman a Florida I'm a mat gates guy I like that gates he brings the heat every time he's up there and today was no exception the judiciary chairman Jerry Nadler who said what we're doing is very clear it's been very clear it continues to be very clear the speaker has backed us at every point along the way. this process has been about as clear is Joe Biden's last answer to race relations that involve turn on the record player we don't know where we are and what we're doing now Mr Lewandowski I am not allowed by house rules to impugn the motives of my colleagues or to speculate as to what might be animating this bizarre circumstance but those rules don't apply to you so Mr wound asking do you have a thought as to why we continue to engage in a charade that is overwhelmingly opposed by the American people and fundamentally miss understood by my democratic colleagues yeah Congress I think they hate this present more they love their country. home big strong line there by Corey Lou in Dallas has this has the the ability to blow up in their faces just like the the Russian collusion molar thing did that I mean I the Democrats don't even have a numbers it doesn't even have enough numbers in the house to move forward with peach and certainly not certainly they don't in the Senate and and this is all this is this is all exactly what that is that they want the words trump an impeachment to become synonymous here in the in the public and they they want to educate the public about in Peter there's no there's not really this is just an impeachment investigation which I don't even know what that means are investigating whether or not we should move forward to the patron and this is how serious trump is about this executive corner announced he was claiming executive privilege the White House even sent a lawyer along with Lou endows keys a like yeah you have to answer these questions about private private conversations you had with the president even though Lou and asking ever worked for the administration to just a campaign manager never worked in the transition. for trump the Obama the trump transition so might be kind of a store a stretch to claim executive privilege with with I think trump wants to go to war here so to speak. here's a little bit more from representative Matt gates of Florida kind of summing up the feelings that a lot of people have one final question for you is to learn basket has an inspector general employed by the United States government ever accused you of breaking the law. no no but they have done that with James call me and yet the leadership of this committee will not bring James call me before even though the inspector general said that his work impair the credibility and efforts of over thirty five thousand FBI agents and the brave people fighting for our country it's a shame that you're here Mister little nasty Jim call me should be sitting in that chair he should be answering questions about why he did so much damage to the FBI in our country including not giving you the briefing that you are entitled to I yield back and we're just getting started. Corey Lewandowski was the first one to testify if they're all gonna be this entertaining I think we're in for a lot of fun here big night.
Lewandowski speaks at House Judiciary Committee impeachment hearing
"Former trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski is that on Capitol Hill testifying before the house Judiciary Committee he's refusing to answer questions about his conversations with the president's not surprisingly after the mall report was made public interest in the fake Russia collusion narrative has fallen apart. White House is limited Lewandowski is testimony to what's in the mall a report members of the committee say this is the first hearing of its impeachment
House Judiciary Committee approves guidelines for Trump impeachment hearings
"Back in Washington house Democrats moving forward with an impeachment investigation of the president of the designation poses a threat to our democracy we have an obligation to respond to this thread and we are doing so has house Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler after his committee approved the rules governing a possible impeachment joining us now to talk more about that NBC radio national correspondent bills in for good morning bill Hey Joe good morning yeah this is a procedural move but it is a big move by as the Judiciary Committee voted along party lines to approve the guidelines for committee impeachment hearings for president trump so what it does is it enables them give them a little more legal power of the committee can designate certain hearings adds technically impeachment hearings that can empower their staff to question witnesses and it would permit the president council to officially respond to testimony as well so this is like I said a procedural type of boat but still it sets the stage for the next step and Nadler says that by the end of the year they should reach a conclusion on whether to recommend articles of impeachment to the full house of representatives this all has many Democrats including Nancy Pelosi walking a fine line now while she has signed off on the committee's actions she. he has also well been a little bit reluctant to say she wants to go the impeachment route saying that the American public is not ready for that remember almost half of the Democrats in the house of representatives have still not gotten on board with impeachment proceedings a more than half has but that means he still has a rather large block to keep satisfied in the house of representatives well I think what this this this move does it allows them to an almost Democrats don't want to do the impeachment that allows them to do the impeachment while really not doing it well that's correct because they can go through the whole hearing an investigative process that doesn't mean it goes anywhere from here maybe it does but the first hearing is already scheduled to be Corey Lewandowski the former campaign manager who will be a quiz don things like whether he was ordered to tell Jeff sessions to scale back the Mahler investigation so you're right Joe it'll give Democrats a chance to get the facts out there without even going farther down the road but there is a danger if they begin to reveal some facts that get more support for impeachment and they almost may be backed into a corner and may be forced to present these articles of impeachment of a full house and with that at that point less than a year to go to the election that could create some real sticky territory for Democrats very good thank NBC radio national correspond

"corey lewandowski" Discussed on KTAR 92.3FM
"Independent in thoughts and punk rock in life. It's the Chad Benson show. You know, I love having this guy on because he's fond people would say what are you only get conservatives? I ask everybody to come on my show. The funny thing is none of the liberals ever seem to want to come on people shows. And it makes me laugh. This guy will go and talk on anybody show a case in point. He's on my show, Corey Lewandowski joins us in of course, former campaign manager with Trump networking with the vice president's a pack committee. And appreciate you coming on today. My man, and why is it? Let me ask you a question because you know, you you go out there, you see you work with a lot of these people people that you were foes with who are on the other side of the aisle, if you will from you and the reality is they they they're so selective. And where they will go. But I seem to see a lot of conservatives will go just about anywhere. Well, look the truth is conservatives want to go on and to MSNBC and CNN because if we don't we're only we're missing huge percentage of. The population. And this is a president who has done things to help everybody. Whether you're lower middle class, you're upper-middle-class, you're, you know, lower income higher income. Everybody has benefited white black green, orange purple. It doesn't matter. What co- you are you've benefited under the policies of this administration. And we don't go those channels the MSNBC's of the world the CNN's of the world, then we're missing the opportunity to tout the president's accomplishments. That's why I do it all the time. And that's why I know some of my colleagues do it as well. It's nuts because I even saw Bill Maher this past week just went off on the fact that the Democrats don't want any part of FOX doing any kind of debate with them. And he's like, look this is why they win and you lose because they are willing. He goes people are willing to come on my show knowing everybody hates them. But the two people that came with them, and this is what happens here, and it is amazing because I ask everybody Corey to come on. And it really is funny that so many times nobody wants to come on. Whatsoever. Even if they're schlepping a book. Can you imagine for a second? When I was running the Trump presidential campaign. If we would have said Republicans will not participate in a CNN debate or in MSNBC debate or a NBC ABC or CBS debate. We will only do Fox News debate. We'd be vilified right by the media for days weeks, months on end, what the Democrats say, hey, we're not going to go on Fox News. And then most of the major media. Let's say we agree. You should not be doing Fox News when Bill marr called about for the hypocrisy that it is right? No backlash to Bill Maher. Because he's speaking the truth the truth is if the Democrats want to be successful. And I'm glad that they don't want to be. They would be on. Fox News entering the tough questions because I answer every question that's posed to me. That's how you end up having a successful presidential campaign. Absolutely talking to Corey Lewandowski, former campaign manager for the president Donald J Trump and now working with vice president a great American committee, his pack there. So let's talk about last night. Elizabeth Warren was on and one of the things that's being bantered around. And you hear it more and more is eight let's get rid of the electoral college. It's antiquated. His old the way came about, you know, to help represent the south in a day and age when there was slavery. And most of the forty percent of the population was there were slaves. So it's time to get rid of it. What say you? I say this isn't that's worked and the argument in the two thousand sixteen election by the left was Hillary Clinton receives three million more votes than Donald Trump did but Donald Trump won the election. And the reason he won is. Because we knew what the rules were when we started. Look I like to say Tom Brady is a greatest quarterback ever to play the game. But Tom could throw for nine hundred yards. If it doesn't put the ball over the goal line. It doesn't matter. How many yards it's four twenty points. You put on the board and what we knew. And clearly the Clinton campaign didn't understand what you need to go and campaign in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. So that you get electoral votes from those states, Hillary Clinton either forgot that or didn't know it or the Russians blocker from going back to a witch conspiracy. But look, why are we changing a system that has worked you'll the Democrats want a system that they know they can win unequivocally in New York, and they know they can win quickly in California, and those things aren't even competitive anymore. Let's keep the system we have in place because some states specifically, Nebraska and Maine allocate their electoral college vote based on the percentage based on your winning congressional district. So if you only win the second congressional district in Maine or the first congressional district main, you only get one electoral college vote and in the close election that could be all the difference in the world. Yeah. It is crazy. And I look I think we all want the perfect situation. And you're never going to be perfect. What we got seems to work. And if it went the other way, I'd still be advocating for keeping it the way it is. And I think that's a lot of people say, well, if the Republicans won the popular but lost they'd be clamoring for it too. But the reality is for me, at least, it seems to work. And I and I would love to see it if they did. Now, they're trying to put together all these states that will say whoever wins the popular vote. We're going to give all electoral college votes. Do I would love to see if the popular vote with the Trump and California would have to go. All right. We have to give you all our electoral college votes, would they change up and go, oh, we can't do that. This do you know who we are? Well, this is another one that crazy ideas. This is like the idea of adding, you know, supreme court justices because we don't like the way that it's been going into President Trump another openly talking about packing. The supreme court changing the way our horses system works because they're losing. And the reason that Democrats are losing is because they have no ideas for the American people. So in order for them to win the next presidential campaign. They want to change the rules that we governed under sense, you know, George Washington, basically or atoms, but and then they don't like the fact that Donald Trump is a porta to conservative justices to the supreme court and has the potential for at least one or two more if he's reelected, they don't like those rules. And now they want to change the rules to suit themselves. This is what the Democrats do play by our rules. Well, we're winning. But as soon as we lose, we're gonna change the rules. That's why they're not going to be successful in the American people are too smart for that. Of Corey Lewandowski, former campaign manager for other president United States, and of course, working with great American committee, which is a political action committee with vice President Mike Pence, and you're out there on the road. You're seeing stuff it is that time of year where where stuff is starting to ramp up because it always seems to be some sort of election time, and there's a crowded field much like the Republicans were in the last election. There's a very crowded field over there. It seems to be though, like, you know, the battle. Thanks, a perfect example of a we live in a world of culture personality. He's got a personality, and that seems to be in a day and age where we've got a guy who's president United States who who was a successful businessman, obviously. But he was also for a lot of people the average people he was reality, TV guy and personality matters. And I don't think people understand. There's a reason people either loved Trump are hate Trump that the personality thing is that the way they're looking at somebody like Beto who's got all these strikes against him because he's white. He's heterosexual. He's successful. He comes from money. Those things are against him. But the reality is he's got some some some sort of personality which unfortunately in this day and age seems to matter over a lot of other things. Well, I it does seem to matter and look at the media rollout. Look at the fawning. Never media has done over Robert rox rollout for president. Robert, just so we're clear, right. What he calls himself? Beta. That's like me calling myself, you know, Carlos Lewandowski 'cause I want to run as a Hispanic all of a sudden, it's just absurd, but the truth is the media has gone all over this guy. How amazing is how you know the cover of Vanity Fair shows him on a dirt road. And that's with America's all if I know what no one is talking about is the fact that this guy get into a drunk driving accident and sleep was arrested. And that was saying that the police report was a complete fabrication. Can you imagine for one second? If that was a potential Republican candidate did that's to would be vilified every day on television. And it's because the media wants to prop up who they think is going to be the best candidate to take on Donald Trump. They don't want to cover the elections fairly. They never have. Most of the media is next. Of the Democratic Party. And they're out saying how great beta is right now when he's raised six million dollars the first day, and that's all too as far as they're concerned. But the truth is the American people are gonna look at him. And they're gonna say he lost a US Senate race in the state of Texas. He was a congressman what gives him the right? What what is the criteria that has to be the president United States, and he is going to continue to claim that as a white male. He's been given privileges at others don't have. And look, I don't think that the American people by and large agree with that. I think that they want to know that everybody in this country has a fair and equal opportunity to be successful or failure based on their hard work. And so, you know, I I don't know what his past voters. The guy didn't win a US Senate race in Texas. What makes us think he's going to win the democratic nomination or alternately the presidency of the United States? Let's be really did push Ted Cruz in a place that quite frankly, I think you know, if that. Race was in California Beddoe crushes Ted Cruz. And and I don't think it's as close as it was in taxes, and I but I do think of Ted has the beard. It's a little softer looking a little cooler. Look, I think he needs to keep the beard Corey so winning. If you talk to him tell them keep the beard. It's a better look than the the hard edges of of what goes on underneath that beer talking to Corey Lewandowski. All right. Let me ask you a question Corey you raise a really important point here in Texas. If the Democrats continue to feel candidates like Beddoe that may Texas very competitive, it makes it very very difficult for the Republicans to continue to win because if they lose New York and California, and then Texas and potentially Florida, which is the true, tossup states. There's no pass. No, there's zero passport. I mean, that'll be we'll be a one party country until it goes horribly wrong. And then then they'll they'll be a change. But it would it would be a long while from there speaking, let's just look. Across the aisle. There we see all the people that are running for president. And it's that time we're wrapping up. Let's be honest by you know, they're to be they're going to be on the debate stage sooner rather than later, and they're gonna be they think by March down to one or two and that will be them. If you're the president you're looking over. I'm not afraid of anybody. But you from an outside person and a person who's been on the inside who do you look over there and say that person, right? There is a very formidable the person who would definitely be you'd welcome the challenge, but it would be more of a challenge than a lot of these other ones. Look I would love to see ASEP on the ticket. But she doesn't qualify under the constitution. Right. I think you'd be nominal because she is such a far leftist socialist that you would look guarantee a Trump victory. Look, I think Joe Biden if he gets in the race has an opportunity to play in places where Donald Trump won last time, specifically, Pennsylvania, specifically, Wisconsin, Michigan, right? Joe has that off shucks moment about him as a blue collar kinda guy from Scranton that being said he owns the policies of the Obama administration. And I don't think that Joe Biden vice-president Biden is going to be progressive enough for the Democrats to win the nomination. But if he were I think, it'd be a very formidable opponent in General Electric matchup against Donald Trump. Yeah. I think it would be too. But my thing is with him Corey is I think he's going to have a he would have a harder time getting out of the democratic side of things with how far left they've gone that. Actually, even maybe potentially taking out Trump..
