Shady Deals at Trump Properties
"President surrounds himself with criminals? His campaign chair. His deputy campaign chair is former national. Security Adviser you. You get the picture and as a rule if you're a politician that kind of thing isn't generally a great move but it does offer one surprising benefit when one of those folks turns turns on you you can point to their own shading dealings and say what anyone trust this person and as the president has defenders go after Parnasse repeating the same. You can't trust him line or I don't even know him remember. We have seen this all before with the last bag. Man Who talked about President Michel Com for about a decade Cohn was the Executive Vice President Trump Organization and Donald Trump's special counsel in September of two thousand seventeen profile of him appeared in Vanity Fair entitled. Michael Cohen would take a bullet for Donald Trump. The piece points out cones extreme loyalty to the president quote cone has been described as the sixth trump child. Or as Tom Hagen in this twisted version of the Godfather and sometimes as both Michael Cohen was the president's fixer but that relationship started to fall apart in early early twenty eighteen as news leaked out of illegal hush money payments made to women ahead of presidential election by April the FBI had redid. Cohen's office and hotel room in Hatton seizing recordings electronic devices. Initially the president was supportive of his longtime attorney. Michael lawyer who. I've always liked him respected. Most most people will flip if the government lets out of trouble sorry. I don't see Michael doing that. Despite the horrible which hunt and the dishonest media but on the day after Cohen pleaded guilty to do eight federal crimes including campaign finance violations. Implicating the president directly as an unindicted co-conspirator individual one the president trashed him quote. If anyone is looking for a good lawyer I would strongly suggest that you don't retain the services of Michael Cohen burn months later. Cohen found himself before Congress delivering a warning. I did the same thing that you're doing now. For Ten years I protected Mr Trump on for ten years and I can only warn people the more people that follow. Mr Trump as I did blindly are going to suffer the same consequences suances that I'm suffering. Michael Cohen pulled back. The curtain. On trump world in two thousand eighteen and live parnasse did that last night telling us what an absolute cesspool of conflicts flicks of interest corruption and shady characters around the President United States. We'll talk about that next today. The the FBI showed up at the home of Robert F. Hide just days after the house. Intelligence Committee released text messages. Provided by indicted Giuliani associate partners in which hide appears to be representing sending himself as actively surveilling then. US Ambassador Ukraine revanche high was told NBC News. He was drunk and unserious when he sent those tax. The question you have to ask ask yourself is how did someone like Robert. Hi gain access to the United States and the answer to that was laid out by himself told Rachel maddow how easy it is to get. Close the presents inner circle just show up at the trump international hotel in Washington DC. That's how Parnasse himself met Robert. Hi You met him where I met him at the I think the trump hotel yes trump hotel. He was a regular at the bar because it was like a breeding ground that trump hotel so it every event would be there so everybody would hang out there afterwards. Everybody all the meetings would be there. So it's basically you would see the same people every day or the same congressman that supported the president would be there and nobody else so he was a fixture on site he was always there and but he was always drunk. What you got in the stands where the trump hotel it's like one a big Cesspool and there's really hard to keep any secrets for more on that Cesspool joined by independent journalists sack efforts in the last two years staking out the trump hotel and writing up what he saw in the eleven hundred Pennsylvania newsletter and an article for Vanity Fair titled Power Tripping the swamp how trump's DC hotel swallowed Washington Zach. This is your beep deep probably more than it is anyone's beaten. I'm curious how is description. Squared with what you've been reporting over the last two years it's spot on. I mean Robert Hyde was on my radar Ariza early as April e. You look at his instagram. And they were pictures of him with the president pictures of him with the vice president all sorts of important people and for him it actually transcended ended the trump hotel. I think he was at six different trump properties. But if you want to project important you can just go hang out at the hotel and take some pictures one of the things that has struck me about about this where we are right now. The impeachment is usually it is very hard to get to the present United States and and and that's for that can be really maddening for people when you're trying to if you're working in the in the staff of the White House and you want to get the president something on his agenda. It's hard to get to him This president seems remarkably easy to get to buy all kinds of people with all kinds of agendas and it seems like his properties are the nexus of this this kind of soft corruption absolutely. I spoke to the president at the trump trump hotel. I was staying there researching one of my articles in for the cost of a nice steak dinner I was able to chat with the president which mix for really good social media posts there so if you you just you know hanging out there take your pictures with your Kevin McCarthy user Mike Pence's as they go back and forth now they're usually not upfront in the bar they're usually going back and forth from the entrance way way to private rooms but see them coming and going you can collect enough pictures and you look like you're really important and then what do you do with that really important the look like you're really important. Well well I think with Robert Heidi. He's using it to run for Congress and there are certainly some other people who are running for Congress typically Republican challengers who seem to be collecting pictures of themselves to the trump hotel. But I've seen some people move from the lobby where the lesser swamp. Thing's hang out to the back rooms and I. I don't know exactly what they're doing to get back there. But looking on social media it almost looks like that they are puffing up their importance with a lot of pictures and then all of a sudden they kind of get to be important That's interesting what. What do you mean by backrooms described it because at one point apartments talking about a private dinner with the president which I think happens there in the hotel room? What is what's the sort of distinction between the the the lobby bar in the backrooms actual important power players are so there's really two tiers if you go out in the lobby? That's where you're gonNA find you not even Fox News host but like Fox News guests are going to be hanging out there. People who really wanted to be seen in need to be seen to kind of project some sort of importance but they may not actually be that important example. Corey Lewandowski is somebody. You'll see it there rudy. Giuliani was the exception to that. But it's the back rooms. It's the trump townhouse which is where if died with dined with the president. And it's the Franklin study in the Lincoln Library where they had those private events. And that's where you'll see the mingling with special interest groups that have flown in lobbyists. Anybody can see them coming back and forth though to the main entrance which is where some of these other interactions come from and is that final question here like do like my understanding from the reporting we haven't from the disclosures that special interest groups if you're trying to get a rag changed if you're trying to get a piece of legislation like they we know that's the place to go and that's where those back room meetings happen. It can't hurt. There's absolutely no downside to booking the trump hotel now. I spoke to lobbyist obvious really early on when it was clear that hotel was going to stick around. said they're going to go there to try to influence them in response was of course they are. Why wouldn't they yeah? Search efforts in who's been covering this beaten his newsletter. Thanks a

Where the fake Trump media massacre video came from, and other things to know about it
"All right so for those of you that might not be totally into this story or understanding where it's come from this was totally trending on twitter all day a and it just so happens that I spoke at the conference where this is the center of controversy so there was a horrific museum video where you're donald trump massacres fake news media now essentially there's these videos that go around and there's this community of people that love the president so much they'll take popular videos superimpose the face of Donald trump onto somebody kickboxing or somebody with a lightsaber fighting people they disagree with so I guess the most this one was the CNN which with precise which was the body slam when the wwe one because the president shared that one and so this particular video was from the movies kingsman which is about the British Secret Service or something starring Colin Firth actually doesn't fourteen. I've never enjoyed those movies I it's called the dark comedy only for some people only some people very cheesy I never liked that movie right somehow killing people's funny but no there is a whole genre it appeals to a certain the demographics never liked the not Nora Nora I've tried to watch it a couple times is just not really my my genre so anyway this memoir so those that don't seem to have to define what a menas because we do have some people okay so mean is what is the best way to find a mean kind of like when you know it Ben Johnson Adam Benny Johnson chief creative officer turning point USA so look amine is a picture or a video that satirizes or explains an issue in a short sound bite that usually his comedy or uses wit I guess that's a good way to put it that it turns it on its head flips it sure Iran nick insightful. Almost here's the best way I can describe it it's the Internet's equivalent of political cartoons that a good way to put it share okay a modern digital essentially this scene in kingsman which I don't understand how this scene was really funnier incite fuller enjoyable the watch but allegedly there was a scene where somebody walks into a church and kills a bunch of people that was the scene Church massacre and they superimposed Donald Trump's face to be the guy that's killing everyone and then he's killing the fake news media CNN MSNBC as well as Democrats like Barack Obama Nancy Pelosi unless we totally denounces videos unequivocally and totally I don't think it's funny to show violence against other people I think it's it's not my not my taste I don't think it's funny people I find that Kinda dark humor interesting I'm not one of those people however he let's just get through some facts they say this was shown at the president's Miami resort so all of the media covering this is insinuating as if the president approved this or this was at his resort he didn't at all okay so I was at this event it was a unique event it was one with a lot of energy and a lot of people that were really excited to be there and Donald Trump junior Sarah Sanders governor on descent data's thankful to be invited you know so this video is shown in a side room in a breakout room against a wall in a very kind of make shift CAPAC- acidy and Don Jr. Ron to Santa Sarah Sanders myself and Corey Lewandowski knew nothing of it we didn't know about this until the news actually broke and now we're being lumped into this I might have spent forty minutes at this event basically the entire time I was at the event was when I was speaking in and out and Laura Ingraham that night and then I flew to Detroit super early the next morning I didn't hang around it was not but they're acting as if we were behind this entire thing the headlines are all all sort of inferring it's like Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Donald trump junior charlie kirk and this
Spy chief defends handling of "unprecedented" whistleblower complaint
"Welcome to a special edition of the lead the White House in crisis. I'm jake tapper and what has been a nonstop and truly unprecedented day of news. President trump apparently furious about the whistle blower whose allegations now threatened to bring about his impeachment sources. Tell Mr trump behind closed doors earlier today said he wanted to know who in his administration spoke with the whistle blower and according wanting to the New York Times which first reported the story president trump then said quote because that's close to a spy. You know what we used to do. In the old days when we were smart with spies and treason right we used to handle it a little differently than we do now unquote and apparent reference there to executions as well as a misuse of the term treason season but the president's over the top response comes in context comes after a key moment in the trump impeachment inquiry today we got our first look at the full whistleblower a complaint about the president the one that sparked this whole impeachment investigation this whistle blower sounding the alarm about president trump using his power to get Ukraine aim to interfere in the two thousand twenty election and the White House according to the whistle blower then trying to lock down records of that phone call hiding the transcript in a computer system or only the most sensitive national security information is typically stored today House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said it is clear what this sounds like to her. This is a cover up allegations of abuse of power and an ensuing cover up. If would-be quite damning would be extremely unethical and now of course it is up to Congress decide if those acts happened and if they are impeachable today the acting director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire testified on Capitol Hill defending the decision to not immediately hand over the whistle blower complaint to Congress as prescribed by law but Maguire would not say whether he spoke to president trump about the matter. Did you ever speak to the president about this complaint my conversations with the president because I'm the director of National Intelligence are privileged acting DNA McGuire added that he thought the whistle blower and the intelligence community inspector inspector general both acted in good faith. Let's go straight to CNN Sara Murray and Sarah. Despite president trump attacking the whistle blowers sources the acting spy. Hi Chief says he believes the whistle blower did all the right things. That's right jake president trump and his Republican allies have questioned the credibility the motives of this whistleblower whistle blower and we saw from the acting deny today as he was pairing these questions from lawmakers he said look it is not my job to investigate this complaint that was up to the inspector general he he found this complaint to be credible any went on to say that he believes both the inspector general and this whistleblower did essentially exactly what you're supposed to do. In this situation. I want to stress that I believe that the whistle blower and the inspector general have acted in good faith throughout I I have every reason to believe that they have done everything by the book and followed the law so you can see him sort of stepping out there and offering the defense he could he also admitted that he does not know who this whistle blower as he does not want to know who this whistle-blower as though he's committed to maintaining this person's protections and ensuring they're not retaliated against Jake and Sarah the the acting director of National Intelligence McGuire was asked multiple times about his conversations with President trump about this he refused to answer but there was was one part of his conversations with President trump that he was willing to discuss. That's right jake I mean. This is obviously a point of frustration for lawmakers. They wanted to know whether he and the president had ever talked about the complaint. He wouldn't say anything about that but he was asked to. The president want to know who this whistle blower was. Did he want you to find find out. Here's what he said did the president of the United States ask you to find out the identity of the whistle blower. I can say although I would not normally discuss my conversations with the president. I can tell you emphatically no now. He also confirmed that no one else at the White House no one else at the Justice Justice Department has asked him to try to figure out who the whistle blower is but jake you can imagine lawmakers were very skeptical. Today they had a lot of questions for him about why he would have taken a complaint that mentions the president and Attorney General Bill Bar by name and then gone to the White House and the Justice Department indeed Sara Murray thanks so much complaint lays out in detail the whistle blowers concerns concerns the president trump was pushing a foreign power Ukraine to investigate his potential twenty twenty opponent senior Justice correspondent Evan Perez with me now and Evan. What what exactly does the whistle blower say about President Trump's conduct well jake this is the bombshell really in the complaint and it has to do with what exactly the president was up up to when he was making these conversations saying these things to the president of Ukraine part of the complaint says in part I have received information from multiple. US government government officials that the president of the United States is using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country into twenty twenty US election obviously Jake that is the the center of this controversy now that the White House has released a phone call. Everyone can make a judgment to determine whether or not they believe this is what the president was doing asking. The Ukrainians needs to investigate his likely rival in the twenty twenty election heaven. What does this whistle blower saying the letter about how the White House handled the aftermath of the phone call right end what the whistle blower says that there was an attempt to cover up essentially people at the White House knew that this could be a problem and so what the whistle blower lower says in part is this. I learned from multiple. US officials that senior White House officials have have intervened to lock down all records of the phone call. This is the Ukrainian phone call especially the official word for word transcript of the call that was produce. This set of actions underscored to me that White House officials understood stood the gravity of what transpired in the call and Jake according to this to this whistleblower other phone calls other interactions were handling it in a different manner or this one was handled in a completely separate way and again. That's that's leading to all of the accusations of a cover up all right. Evan Perez thank you so much the New York Times first reported in CNN and has confirmed that president trump earlier today told staff from the United States mission to the United Nations that he wanted to know who provided information to the whistle blower about his call call with Ukrainian president and whoever talked to the whistle blower was quote close to a spy and then he said quote in the old days spies were dealt with differently an apparent allusion to executions. I WANNA bring in C. N. N. White House correspondent bore Sanchez or as how was this met by staffers. Jake many any were stunned. According to The New York Times some actually even laughed this was a crowd of about fifty people according to the reporting of the UN Ambassador Basseterre Kelly Kraft was also in the room for this at least one of these people was taking notes and that's how we know what the president said listen to this quote specifically the president saying unquote. I want to know who's the person who gave the whistle blower the information because that's close to a spy you know what we used to do. In the old days when we were smart about spies and treason right we used to handle it a little differently than we do now. Jake the president making an apparent suggestion that these people should potentially face the death penalty very noteworthy considering the issues circling this president regarding obstruction of justice in the past and the fact that these officials could potentially become witnesses in the very near future also because the acting head of the deny was testifying at the time that this whistle blower acted lawfully and and did the right thing jake. There's certainly going to be questions about witness. Intimidation based on those remarks Boris. We are also just learning that Corey Lewin douse key the president's his former campaign manager is in conversations with the White House about potentially heading up the impeachment team to defend president trump. That's Rijeka the familiar face returning to center stage potentially of this kind of gives you an idea of the scramble behind the scenes at the White House with people close to the president telling CNN that they wonder if the White House has a plan to respond to this impeachment inquiry according to multiple sources Corey Lewandowski had conversations with White House officials about joining warning some kind of team to respond to this inquiry notably Stephanie Grisham the press secretary told CNN there are no plans to form an impeachment response team low. Lohan Dow ski told CNN that he had not spoken directly to president trump but he didn't totally deny the reporting altogether Jacobs right last resort Lewandowski. He was testifying on Capitol Hill among the things they said was that he doesn't see anything wrong with lying to journalists which is essentially the same thing as lying to the American people yeah. Boris thanks so much much more on our breaking news including cluding if the whistle blower will testify before Congress you're watching a special expanded edition of the
Whistleblower complaint has been declassified and contains no 'surprises,' GOP lawmaker says
"And we have some breaking news just coming in representative Chris Stewart but he is a Republican from Utah. He is a member of the House Intelligence Committee. He has just revealed on twitter that the whistle blowers complaint that some members of Congress. I have been reviewing throughout the day today that it has now been declassified. He says the ADS in his tweet. I encourage you all to read it. It has not yet been made available to the general public but obviously it's declassification is a major step in that direction again that news coming in from a member of the House Intelligence Committee you Chris Stewart Republican from Utah with US tonight Andrew Desa Diario Congressional reporter for Politico and Jackie alumini political reporter for the Washington Post host and author of the papers morning newsletter power up thanks to both of you for being with US Andrew. Let me just start with you this news we are just getting about the whistle blowers lowers report. We have been hearing members of Congress today. Some very suggestive things about its content it now would seem to be a matter of time before all of us get to see it. Is that correct that's right. There's no timetable yet for the release of this document or these documents rather. It's probably a very long whistleblower complaint based on what I heard from lawmakers today but the D. Classic declassification process has essentially been completed. That's what Congressman Stewart was announcing. Something important to remember here was that lawmakers on the intelligence Belgian Committee only got to view the content of the complaint today they did not get to view the full inspector general's report which they expect to be delivered to Capitol Hill sometime tomorrow or a on Friday that report will show corroborating documents interviews with other people who might have knowledge of the allegations that the whistle blower has leveled against either the president or other individuals in the White House so that is going to be another really important piece of information for lawmakers to view here in the coming days Jackie. I'm wondering what you're hearing about the potential impact of this of this whistle blowers complaint you have some Republicans even Ben Sasse from Nebraska. I think we've put his quote up earlier. not saying nothing to see here yeah well. I think it's pretty notable that sense you know post four. PM Today when the whistle blowers complaint was finally finally made available to members of Congress that there hasn't been a Republican who has come out with as forceful of defenses we've seen if president trump earlier during the day but I think this just increases the amount of pressure that the acting director of the DNA wire is going to be under tomorrow when he has to publicly testify in front of the House intelligence committee behind closed doors and in front of closed doors you know he's in a pretty precarious situation. As my colleagues reported today you know he threatened mm to resign if he was not able to be forthcoming with the information that he is aware of with regards to the whistle blowers kamate complaints you know he's already come under scrutiny and severe criticism for the way he's handled the complaint up until now and I think tomorrow is going to be a real test with the intelligence community watching to see how he handles it and whether or not he's truthful with the way that he I think calls out the White House for some of the falsehoods that they've they've been putting forth as Andrew knows as well you know the White House pushed out all of their talking points today to house Democrats who then and quickly leaked it to reporters so we know exactly what the White House is saying about this episode and the President's conversation with the Ukrainian president and it's not based in reality and so you know I think it'll be up to a wire to call out you know what he is telling lawmakers behind closed doors in the skiffs about the reality the whistle blowers complaint and what the narrative that the White House is trying to push forward themselves. We should know to Joseph Maguire. DNA DNA did deny threatening threatening to resign. Jacobs reports certainly are out there. Obviously this is a name that's new to a lot of people in the last couple of days of the director of national intelligence new to the job as well. The Wall Street Journal was reporting in terms of Joseph Maguire's background quote McGuire was viewed as a steady hand by Democrats and Republicans alike when he was named by Mr Trump the political winds in in Washington in the glare of congressional hearings are a long way from Mr Maguire's roots which lie in the secretive work of special operations units that conduct dangerous missions to battle terrorists terrorists and retrieve hostages. He's been thirty six years as a navy seal eventually commanding the Naval Special Warfare Command Andrew Jackie was getting into this but in terms of the a very peculiar situation that Maguire finds himself in here. You've got this whistleblowers. Complaint reached the Inspector General that said this needs to go go to Congress and then you had McGuire saying no. What can you expect from him tomorrow? Oh I think the question that Democrats in particular WanNa see answered is the extent to which he was in communication with the Justice Department ahead of the potential release of this whistle blower complaint to Congress. which is you know as required by by law the questions could be anything from you know did the Justice Department reach out to you? I did you see guidance from the Justice Department of course the law states that they're the deny should would act independently from the Justice Department when it comes to these matters that'll be a top question for Democrats to ask and to try to get answers on if they don't get answers from the acting. DNA fifty nine tomorrow we reported yesterday that a couple of Democrats on the Intelligence Committee which by the way is a much smaller committee compared to other panels on Capitol Hill all a bunch of Democrats really do want to see chairmanship get more aggressive and more aggressively confront these witnesses at these hearings which as we've seen in the past asked for example last week with Corey Lewandowski where they're just not answering questions in the relying on these executive privilege claims from the White House so a lot of Democrats are going to want to see more aggressive confrontation tation in in that respect I asked chairmanship about this last night and he wouldn't commit to any punitive measures ahead of time but this is just a reflection of sort the seismic shift we have seen over the last few days among the House Democratic Caucus. They've really unified by the unified behind these Ukraine scandal in terms of their outrage. we saw the number of course of lawmakers supporting an impeachment inquiry jump to I believe it's around two hundred nineteen right now. which is a majority of the house? You only need any two hundred eighteen votes to impeach the president on the floor so it really is reaching a serious situation here and Speaker Pelosi obviously jump started did that with her with her pronouncement. Yesterday we mentioned a minute ago that Chris Stewart a member of the intelligence committee. The House Intelligence Committee said that the whistle blowers complaint had been declassified declassified. NBC News has now confirmed that NBC News has confirmed the whistle blowers complaint has been declassified also with minimal redaction NBC the news is now reporting and that it is expected to be made available to the public tomorrow morning. So that's the latest we know about

"I have known Mr Dearborn Sustain your as a chief of staff to senator sessions use my primary point of contact for Jeff sessions during the trump campaign and I also knew that Mr Dearborn had continued like I did have a longstanding relationship with Jeff A- and if I wasn't going to be seeing Jeff I figured rick would be able to deliver that message. Did you try to see Mr sessions again. Did you call them after the president told you to do it and see see if he would meet with you this time. Did you call out to answer the question not the best recollection and serves the reason. You personally didn't call them. Someone who you said you were friendly with was because you knew what the president asked. You do was wrong and you didn't want to get in trouble. That's why he didn't do you know Mr Fascinated to that question. I'm not a lawyer Brands Inc asking me to do something that was unlawful at the time and I don't think that was the case now. He goes on to talk about not being a lawyer quite a bit in the context of trying to get on that a lawyer like you. Shea they lying to Congress is this you say it's another like I didn't go to defense yeah. He's using is claiming that bad. He didn't think it was wrong then. He doesn't think it's wrong. Now I mean this is where you get to see sort of the the squishy she -ness of the entire process of the Mueller investigation. The fact patterns are there. The question is was it obstruction of justice. Did people have an awareness of what was going on was wrong and Corey Lewandowski would have you believe that despite the fact that the president asked him to do it despite the fact that Corey Lewandowski ask somebody else to do it after realizing after a month that he wasn't going to do it. He had no reason not to do it other than it just wasn't a big deal and so. I think whoa there's two things that are gonNA come out of this and we should say that Rick Dearborn and Rob Porter. That's the guy who I think had a domestic abuse. Issue was working in the White House which I know is it confusing thing to say because apparently there was multiple people with that issue but the white eight house said that Dearborn importer have absolute constitutional immunity from testifying which of course is also BS and and at one point the committee has got to start to exercise some some actual punitive actions when people don't show up Lewandowski couldn't pull it off because he didn't work for the president so the idea of executive immunity is absurd but the executive immunity is absurd in the first place across the board so the other big thing. I hope that that comes from this is that Nadler realizes I put the lawyer I put the lawyer I so that the staff for all the Congress people can find out where the nugget is the lawyer uncovers covers it makes it clear rattles the witness and then the congress people can go and and kick the carcass as it were. You're hopefully this will happen. Hopefully they can they can swallow some of their ego and allow this to be done in the most effective way because if this this half hour had been at the beginning. I guess maybe the only argument you could have is. Maybe after all that time he he was a little bit more for he wasn't quite as sharp but maybe you do it twice but I think we're GONNA be seeing more of this. I think we're going to be literally literally doing what we just did today. More and more often going forward. That's my hope anyways but Nancy Pelosi on seems to be unhappy with that because from what it appears it's not just a question of and we don't want impeachment to fail. We don't know if it can pass. It's just like the idea that there would be investigations into this stuff is somehow how problematic in terms of the election and that's just absurd. It's just absurd. It is still believing that somehow somehow I don't know there's some contingency of of people out there who are inclined to vote against Donald Trump but if they are made more aware of all of his wrongdoing they're going to be less inclined to vote against him but then trump might be able to act like he's being persecuted unfairly right by something he never does. Don't give me an opportunity uh-huh. I'd never do it unless there was a reason mentioned this. There's an ongoing strike. GM The m I mean there's not much else to say that your forty eight thousand workers the GM has decided stop paying their health benefits now of course they don't pay hey people during a strike the UAW gives about two hundred and fifty bucks a week to each workers. Afr- from the Union Strike Fund and you can donate to the strike find right. I I would assume so I would assume there's gotta be a way to put a link because now that strike fund is also going to be cost going to be paying Cobra health insurance. I mean when you see this dynamic right and the Union is going to have to pick up the TAB which can be anywhere from seventeen hundred two thousand thousand dollars on Cobra Cobras disaster. Oh Yeah I tried to use it once and I just laughed. When I saw how much it was gonNA cost I had to. I had a gap between in Air America in Bob's Burgers and The the Cobra. You know yeah well. It looks like wasn't going to get coverage for. I think it was possible for a baby coming and the Cobra was disaster two thousand dollars a month. It's just absurd. It's absurd and this is America. Is America and you know. The one thing you also realize is in the backdrop of all of this this is that there's also a certain amount of power that is given to Labor if the government is providing riding for health insurance and you know I will reference it again. Go read wrecked and and you will see beat the level of sensitivity. These major corporations have to labor power regardless. I mean ultimately. It may be about cost but it's it's. It runs parallel to cost. They don't also they don't they want the flexibility eighty of control and this is one of the mechanisms of controlling and you could see it right here. They're exercising their control. Oh by stopping to pay for their health insurance now. This is not a situation where these people have walked off and quit the job fifty thousand people in walked away from the job but this is the way that they're going to smoke him out speaking of autos we mentioned this this has been coming for awhile. It really is a stunning. Andrew Wheeler the head of the EPA trying aimed to reconcile the notion of a conservatives belief in states' rights and the US government saying that California -Fornia does not have the ability to set its own emission Standards Wheeler Andrew Wheeler said we embrace federalism and the real estate's. It's but federalism does not mean that one state can dictate standards for the nation that dictation is obviously just a function of their market share which of course American folks right. The market is speaking but it's a problem for them so that's just another in. I'll just hit this one before we go back to some more clips so the USDA in addition to sort of like being completely destroyed in terms of the you know the the scientists are working there and taking them away from Washington. DC The food safety inspection service is currently responsible for over Silla uh-huh overseeing what is known as the kill line make sure that tainted meat does not enter the food supply under this new program by the trump administration they would basically privatize the federal oversight of pork the facilities cutting the number of federal inspectors by about forty percent and replacing them with plant employees right so we're doing a great job no worries no worries and and they've done this apparently differently. They did this with the The chicken kill lines the agency announced. It would let some chicken slaughter houses speed up their kill lines from one hundred forty birds per minute two hundred seventy five birds per minute so this is a classic case of we're going to increase the profitability of these meat processors and we're going to do it at the expense of the health of the consumer because undoubtedly as you increase this. It's like any other. There's this dynamic exists and everything as you take away inspectors as you increase the speed in which this stuff goes through and you limit the amount of time that they're inspected and you limit the amount of time that people have to do these jobs in a hygienic way. You're GONNA have some person some kid. Some elderly person probably die because something has gotten through at one point. They'll fix it cup. We start start kicking in competition kicks in and my kid show the family and society will pay. Hey they will pick up the TAB for the extra profit that these companies can make that's basically it. That's the dynamic. That's the dynamic that we see across the board. This is why you see it in the rollback of all sorts of environmental protections. It's either a because corporations are going to profit or B. as in the case of what we're seeing in California when and the car companies themselves don't even want to lower their cafe standards because they realize in a couple of years. Somebody's GonNa come in and say there's. It's GONNA be a new president. WHO's not going to be a nutjob and it's GonNa say you're going to have to raise these again and they just want consistency and they know that their their consumers there are already saying like we want less emissions we are worried about the planet and so there are two instances when the trump administration and Republicans broadly we'll do this one is because they want corporations to make more money and the other is because they want to further the principle that there should be no inhibition on the making of profits by corporations even if in that one instance. It's it's not about corporate profits. It's just about basically saying this is the way it is and we are disciplining you to understand understand that. This is the way it is. We're going to have no precedence of you can protect consumers or citizens at the cost of corporate prophets. Were not gonNa have any instances of that whatsoever and that's what this in. That's what the car thing is about. Don't you wish this were Greek. Drama and one of those tainted chickens is gonNA find its way into trump's mcnuggets awesome as a drawback as a story. That's a that's an awesome Greek drama Awesome Creek drama speaking of of ails. Here's Boris Johnson attempting to salvage the disaster. That is is I mean..

House Democrats, Lewandowski spar at 1st impeachment hearing
"On Capitol Hill house Democrats have put their first impeachment hearing in the books correspondent Jerry both lander says testimony from former trump campaign aide Corey Lewandowski took a combative turn but that's by the White House I know this might be happening is your question or you can have a conversation by shell most of the questions focused on the president's request to Lewandowski the detail then Attorney General Jeff sessions to rein in the Russia investigation technology and to congressman Hank Johnson he didn't follow through and never delivered the message you chickened out I went on vacation no one doubts he said he didn't think the president asked him to do anything
Hearing with Trump loyalist Corey Lewandowski ends after 6 hours
"If you read the early reviews of today's hearing in the House Judiciary Committee by which I mean the reviews written about four are four and a half hours into the five and a half hour hearing then you would think the hearing was a mess the daily beast headline at five fifty five pm. I'm said Corey Lewandowski testimony quickly devolves into a mess but a minute later literally a minute after that was filed everything having changed it was a half hour left in that hearing when everything changed in Corey Lewandowski change coralline Dusky ran out of ways to avoid answering questions when he faced a full half hour of concentrated cross examination by lawyer hired by the committee to question witnesses in its impede from investigation the Republicans on the committee were determined to make a mockery of the committee process from the start we have never seen a more childish and abusive the use of committee process and committee rules than what the Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee did today. This was the low point in the history of house hearings procedurally the Republicans made repeated motions to shut down the hearing to just adjourn the hearing close it down and when those motions were defeated instantly by voice vote the Republicans then called for as is their right roll call votes that they knew would take time. They knew they were going to lose and they were just trying to waste time and add to the circus atmosphere that they created corey. Lou Dusky was ready for a circus. He was was not ready for serious questioning. When Republicans took their five minute turns questioning the witness they ignored corey. Lewandowski is role in the president's attempt to shut shutdown the muller investigation as described by Corn Corey Lewandowski own testimony in the mullahs report and his own notes that are reproduced in the mall the report Republican questioning deliberately did not make any sense but the question on the democratic side also mostly didn't make sense because of Republican publican interference with that questioning and the simple fact that should be obvious by now that most members of Congress are not very good at this they did not run for the district attorney they ran for the House of Representatives and every once in a while they have to play district attorney in committee hearings and generally for most of them. It doesn't go oh very well except for the people who have actually been prosecutors and so for hours on end it was a chaotic hearing with Corey Lewandowski becoming increasingly singley emboldened in his refusal to answer any question for which the answer was not already contained in the report he was asked by several Democrats to read passages the report and he repeatedly refused to do so cars when Eric Swallow Zeroed in on page ninety one of the Mullahs report which reproduced Corey Lewandowski own connotes of a speech Donald Trump dictated to him for Attorney General Jeff sessions to deliver about the Mueller Investigation Wild Wild Jeff sessions recused from supervising or commenting on the Muller Investigation in the trump written speech jeff sessions would announce that the special special prosecutor's investigation of the president is unfair and the special prosecutor would only be allowed from this point forward to investigate the possibility of quote election meddling for future elections so that nothing can happen in future elections harassment ex well well ask Corey Lewandowski to read his notes outs of his conversation with the president as reproduced in the mall report and Lewin Dusky refused to read his words allow were you were ashamed to read them out loud and you didn't deliver those words to the person the president asks you to did. You have a conscious of guilt. I have nothing to be guilty of congressman. Thank you still feel guilty today. And that's why you can't read it out loud cars when you're welcome to read the words if you'd like when the members of the committee finally finished their questioning almost five hours after hearing began it was finally time for the thirty minutes of questioning reserved for attorney. Barry Burke who is serving as a consultant of the Committee Hybrid Chairman Nadler Adler and chaos broke out once again as the Republicans pretended there was something wrong with having council ask questions in the committee even though the committee has done that many many times before especially in investigations of a president and after another round votes trying and failing to close down the hearing completely finally finally Barry Burke closed in on Corey Lewandowski for what was the worst public half hour of Corey Lewandowski life. My question to you sir is on national television. Did you lie about your relationship with the special counsel and whether they sought your interview I I don't know prior to the Muller report being published in redacted form. Did you ever misrepresent what you did on behalf of the president. I can't think of an instance where that would have occurred. Let me show you an interview that you did on May Fourteenth Twentieth Nineteen. Excuse me a I'll show it to you from February twenty-second twenty one thousand nine. Let me show it to you. Excuse me Ma'am number twenty nine thousand nine. Thank you don't ever remember the president ever asking me to get involved with Jeff sessions or the department injustice in any way shape so did you hear that Sir that was used saying on MSNBC. You don't ever remember the president ever. We're asking you to get involved with. Jeff sessions or department of Justice in any way shape or form. That wasn't true. Was it sir. I heard that UH and that was not true was it. I've no obligation beyond to the media's because there's just as dishonest as anybody else so you're admitting sir. You're not being truthful in that clip correct my interview with remember. This can be in any way you'd like. Did you lie on national television. Sorry about the president giving you a message. It's the attorney general about the special counsel's investigation. I don't recall that particular day and my mindset at the time I couldn't answer that. Corey Lewandowski told Robert Muller's investigators that he didn't want to deliver the president's message to Jeff Sessions at the Justice Department Jeff Sessions Office because he did not want the justice this apartment logs to show that he visited the Attorney General. He didn't WANNA public record of that meeting. Barry Burke pressed Corey Lewandowski on why he didn't want a public record of of him entering the Justice Department. So is it a fact. He didn't want to public log because you knew what you doing wrong so the just as the president went to an unofficial official nongovernment employees you wanted to make sure there was not a record of it isn't that right sir. No log creates a record of your visiting with the Attorney General so I would think a log world creator record degreaser that you admitted to the special counsel. You didn't want to have a record of your visit and that's why that's one of the reasons why you didn't go to the Department of Justice because she did not want to public log of your visit correct. I've never been to the Department of Justice. I don't know what goes on the Department of Justice. I don't really want to find out what happened. Department of Justice based on what's happened to other people involving the Department of Justice to be honest with you. Barry Burke insisted that the reason Corey Lewandowski did not personally deliver the president's message to Jeff. Yes actions is that Corey Lewandowski knew that would not be legal. You said so. You never did anything other than what was completely legal when you said that circus you knew if you delivered that message that told the Attorney General to instruct the special counsel delimit the investigation to exclude the president that would not be illegal. Isn't that correct surf Mr Burke. I didn't have the privilege of going to Harvard Law School. I'm not an attorney so what I know is. I didn't think at the time that the president asked me to deliver a message that anything was illegal about it. I didn't have the privilege to go to Harvard Law. So if you're telling me that in your opinion that would have been illegal then that's your opinion too but I never assume that that never thought about at the time I haven't thought about now. Why didn't you deliver the message that the president ask you delivered unless you didn't deliver it because you knew it was improper to deliver. Mr Burglar wasn't a priority. It sure reads like a priority in the mullahs report throughout the day. Corey Lewandowski refused to answer multiple questions agents about his conversations with anyone working in the White House. Berry Burke showed that this was not exactly a sacred principle to Corey Lewandowski. I can't speak to conversations that may or may not have with senior staff members of the administration to preserve the privilege they've invoked so it's such a sacred privilege as you would not disclose private communications because that would be wrong you testimony sir now. My testimony is at the White House directed that disclosed the substance of any discussions with the president advisors to protect executive branch confidentiality and I recognize that's not my privilege but I am. I am respecting the decision of the White House. Didn't you publish a book in which you disclose these very conversations. You had with senior White House officials which book you reference. I've written to New York Times bestsellers on a year so you refresh my memory with one. I'm asking you about the bestseller lead trumpy trump leading off our discussion. Tonight is democratic. Congressman Eric Swallow of California is one of the able questioners on the House Judiciary Committee because because he is a former deputy district attorney himself also joining us Mimi Roca former assistant. US Attorney Southern District of New York an MSNBC legal legal contributor cars. I WanNa start with something you brought up to Chairman Nadler when when it was your turn already been one brief recess in the hearing and so I'm not sure whether this was I could tell us whether this was coordinated with the chairman. Not specifically said you asked the chairman to consider holding holding Corey Lewandowski in contempt of Congress for the way he was testifying in that hearing which I have to say in any previous in Congress he would have been held in contempt of Congress in the first five minutes based on what we saw what's going to happen with the question of contempt of Congress for Corey Lewandowski in Dusky. It's certainly on the table and I also think the to witness chairs next to him. empty chairs should mean empty pockets and they need to be fine. There need to be consequences and when you when you by the way I could listen to that Barry Burke Exchange all day and then he he he's just masterful and finally the truth came came out but that's not how an innocent person conducts themselves. That's how he wants to help the Congress understand. You know what the president did would present themselves. That's how a guilty person acts and so are the chairman is going to consider contempt and we're not going to stop it in Lawrence and I I saw just like you did the you know the twitter. you know hot takes on what all this meant and people said it was messy. It was frustrating and that's all true but if the opposite of of this is to do nothing and let the President get away with further obstruction. We're not GonNa do that either and we have court battles that are ongoing right now so the president may benefit in the short term from confusing people and telling people to obstruct but in the long-term there's going to be a cascade of court decisions in our favor and it's not going to be very good for the trump team. Carson there is one another alternative for the mess of it and that is letting Barry Burke to either all the questioning or let Barry Burke have the first half our and then let the mess follow that yeah and it also just depends as well on the witnesses. We should assume that most witnesses are going to be like Mister Lebowski. That's just the trump style. They haven't had to have any consequences for that as of late and yes I think you know just just like you want more cowbell. Give us more burke. He was very very good. maybe Roca one of the things that you don't have in the courtroom is the other side when in the middle of your questioning jumping up in all sorts of history on equate object to something in a courtroom you better be doing it based on the rules of evidence the Democrats

"They're going to be met with scepticism. They're going to be met with resistance and when American credibility can't be counted on can't be trusted in a circumstance like this then we're more likely to be isolated and less likely to be able to rally unified international response the Saudis. He's obviously have been buying American weaponry for years they there were sales when you were working for. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to the Saudis of of American arms and they were they were a big deal the president sort of said the quiet part loud in talking about the Saudis the other day. I it's a really amazing quote. I just want to play it again and get your reaction to it when when he describes them. That's paying cash. Take a listen. A Saudi Arabia pays cash. They've helped us out from the standpoint of jobs and all of the other the things and they've actually helped us. I would call and I would say listen. Our oil prices are gasoline's too high. You GotTa let go rhino that I would call the crown prince. It's and I'd say you got to help us out. You've got to get some more and all of a sudden. The oil starts flowing into gasoline prices down. No other president can do that. What do you make of that well. This is classic trump. He basically views are relationships with countries around the world is a Mafia style pay for play protection racket. If you pay up especially if you pay in cash apparently yes no credit in the United States is prepared to defer to you in terms of whether or not they want us to use military force from my perspective. The president should be looking to the congress of the United States not the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia for guidance and authorization as to whether to use military force here but it's clear that he's decided at least to a certain extent to outsource his decisions on matter of Warren piece to Riyadh and not to a CO equal branch of government. I asked this question to Senator Gary Peters about a congressional authorization tation. Obviously it's something that you thought about and worked on where you were in the the administration also working for Secretary of State Clinton. What is your view you about whether it would be legal for the president to order a strike of wrong it is very clear. The President does not have the authority to take military action against Iran without getting the support of the United States Congress and this is important not just as a technical legal matter. It's important because of how we got here in the first place. This didn't drop out of the sky literally as an issue that the Iranians created out of nowhere. This is the result the self inflicted wound of trump administration policy. The Iranians worried biding by the nuclear deal and we're not attacking Saudi Arabia when the nuclear deal was was in force it was only after the United States in the trump administration decided to pull out that we ended up in the circumstance we're in so that doubly requires this this president to go to the Congress to get any kind of authorization if he wants to use military force which I think would be a misguided decision at this point final question the toll the supreme leader religious leader in Iran Iran will never talk to America ahead of those. UN General Assembly meetings there had been some back and forth about some sort of diplomatic beating. Do you think that's Austrian or do you think it's possible to get back to the table. I think it is possible to get back to the table. The supreme leader in my experience has repeatedly heatedly made rhetorical comments only then turn around and authorize his negotiators to go to the table but that requires the United States to actually get serious about nuclear diplomacy and instead of that what we have is an administration that decided to take a deal that was working tear it up walkaway abandoned our allies and until the United States re-commits in a serious way to a diplomatic effort to resolve this nuclear issue. I don't think there will be diplomacy. I think this lies much more at this moment at at the feet of policy in Washington than it does at any decisions that are being taken in the region right Jake Sullivan. It's always great to have you. Thanks for making time. Thanks for having me next. Did we learn anything new from Corey Lewandowski performance in front of the House Judiciary Congresswoman. "Wake of John Bolton's humiliating an ignominious departure Thera- crew through clearly forces inside the White House. Perhaps even the president himself that are champing at the bit for a military strike against Iran almost immediately after attacks on two major Saudi Arabian oil facilities on Saturday Secretary State Mike Pompeo blamed Iran for what he called quote an unprecedented attack on the world's energy supply than last night. The Wall Street Journal reported that US intelligence intelligence claims the attacks were launched from inside Iran but here's the thing even the Saudis aren't saying that right now in fact they have lagged American officials in their willingness this to openly blame Iran for carrying out the attack meanwhile the Hutu rebels in Yemen who founded fighting the Saudis in Yemen brutal war have claimed responsibility before the attack and if you want a real sense the White House perspective right now look no further than Brian. Hook the special representative for Iran Hook was on a phone call with congressional staffers yesterday talking about the attack on Saudi Saudi oilfields when asked about the impact of the strikes on the Kingdom Hook responded to the Saudis considered to be there nine eleven according to people familiar with a call for the record. No one died in the attacks on the oil facilities. Nearly three thousand people died on nine eleven also fifteen of the nineteen hijackers themselves were from Saudi Arabia to talk more about what exactly is happening here joined by Jake Sullivan former National Security Adviser to Vice Present Joe Biden also worked in the negotiations with Iran on the Iran deal. Jake here's by first question. What do you make of what is fascinating assassinating distance to me between the way the trump administration enforces inside the administration who are leaking reporters are saying with certainty at came from Iran and the Saudis Saudis themselves not being willing to go that far well? There's a real irony here this Saudi government which is led by the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman on has engaged in all kinds of dangerous and risk taking behavior across the region and yet they are pressing the pause button here. They want to be sure about what exactly actually happened. While certain voices inside the trump administration are trying to drive this whole conversation towards the potential for marriage. Get military action action so we're in this funny circumstance actually. Saudi Arabia is the voice of caution while voices inside the trump administration are are whipping wrapping up the case for potential war and I think this is going to create a real challenge in the days ahead as the United States and its putative ally in the region. Did you try to get on the same page I mean I have to say if you're a foreign government a foreign diplomat a foreign state making calculations right now like you watch donald trump lie all all the time he just affect. He lies all the time. Why would anyone believe any presentation of American intelligence on something high stakes as this by this president I mean this is what the cumulative effect of not just the president's lies but the effort by significant members of the national security establishment in the trump administration including Secretary of State Pompeo have done in hyping intelligence as it relates to Iran in trying to sell a narrative with respect to Iran that just hasn't been borne out by the facts and so when they go around the world now try and look people in the eye and say we know what happened..

Lewandowski, House Democrats spar at impeachment hearing
"We begin tonight with the fallout from the Democrats first impeachment hearing with trump witness before house. Democrats calling their first I official witness in this impeachment probe potential obstruction of justice by the President United States Donald Trump today is kind of inflection point in the battle over accountability for what Democrats say trump's crimes office. There were fireworks has witnessed number one trump's former campaign manager. Corey Lewandowski seized on this star turn today to battle Filibuster filibuster and at times openly taught house Democrats at this hearing they say Lewandowski's evasions and brazen tax make him look disrespectful even guilty but remember. Lewandowski, House Democrats spar at impeachment hearing
"The first impeachment investigation hearing by a house committee taking on a combative tone today two former White House aides were no shows at the direction of the White House and the witness who did appear former trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski often refused to answer questions from the house Judiciary Committee I'm trying to adhere to the white house's request I answer questions and provide in the mall report only committee chairman Democrat Jerrold Nadler says Lewandowski has no executive privilege and by the end of Lewandowski is testimony was considering the contempt citation boxes jerit helper on

White House is limited Lewandowski is testimony to what's in the mall a report members of the committee say this is the first hearing of its impeachment
House Judiciary Committee approves guidelines for Trump impeachment hearings
"Back in Washington house Democrats moving forward with an impeachment investigation of the president of the designation poses a threat to our democracy we have an obligation to respond to this thread and we are doing so has house Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler after his committee approved the rules governing a possible impeachment joining us now to talk more about that NBC radio national correspondent bills in for good morning bill Hey Joe good morning yeah this is a procedural move but it is a big move by as the Judiciary Committee voted along party lines to approve the guidelines for committee impeachment hearings for president trump so what it does is it enables them give them a little more legal power of the committee can designate certain hearings adds technically impeachment hearings that can empower their staff to question witnesses and it would permit the president council to officially respond to testimony as well so this is like I said a procedural type of boat but still it sets the stage for the next step and Nadler says that by the end of the year they should reach a conclusion on whether to recommend articles of impeachment to the full house of representatives this all has many Democrats including Nancy Pelosi walking a fine line now while she has signed off on the committee's actions she. he has also well been a little bit reluctant to say she wants to go the impeachment route saying that the American public is not ready for that remember almost half of the Democrats in the house of representatives have still not gotten on board with impeachment proceedings a more than half has but that means he still has a rather large block to keep satisfied in the house of representatives well I think what this this this move does it allows them to an almost Democrats don't want to do the impeachment that allows them to do the impeachment while really not doing it well that's correct because they can go through the whole hearing an investigative process that doesn't mean it goes anywhere from here maybe it does but the first hearing is already scheduled to be Corey Lewandowski the former campaign manager who will be a quiz don things like whether he was ordered to tell Jeff sessions to scale back the Mahler investigation so you're right Joe it'll give Democrats a chance to get the facts out there without even going farther down the road but there is a danger if they begin to reveal some facts that get more support for impeachment and they almost may be backed into a corner and may be forced to present these articles of impeachment of a full house and with that at that point less than a year to go to the election that could create some real sticky territory for Democrats very good thank NBC radio national correspond

Robert Muller, Robert Mueller And President discussed on The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer
"Because now the questions are going to be what was in the mullahs report what he can reveal now with a wet ashtray start to intervene to prevent him from answering questions about what he talked to the president about those are major questions going forward but i think that we can expect a very lively contentious affair assuming he does show rachel. What are you hearing yeah. I mean democrats are hoping he comes in they there are one hundred twenty five democrats in the house that now support impeachment meant but obviously the public sentiment is not there <hes> most americans do not want the president and so democrats want to have these high profile hearings these sort of made for t._v. Moments that will actually change public sentiment or so. They're hoping after robert muller wasn't able to do that kind of a bomb hearing a lot of them said even privately but you know having corey. I'm skeptical what's going to happen because even if he comes in and says no obstruction no collusion they're going to ask him about what he told robert muller and he told robert mueller one one of those ten instances instances of potential obstruction of justice and even just by re-litigating that even if he's like oh there was nothing wrong with this. He wasn't asking me to do anything illegal legal you know just by confirming those details in the report. He's doing exactly what democrats want him to do. I don't think trump is gonna want him to appear at all so we'll take it.

"So this was clearly the White House trying to as you said, in your opening comments, stymie, the American people from getting information that they deserve to have. We did not get a lot from ho picks because of these executive, the absolute immunity claim and you know what one thing that was very interesting. John, they did not claim executive privilege. They didn't claim executive privilege because they can't they have already waived executive privilege. And so what they did is they claim this absolute immunity, which is absolutely farcical, and they kept using that, but what we were able to do that. I think is, is very important is show the American people as as we'll. Scene when the transcript is released that the White House is blocking even a witness who would like to come and comply, unless this give hope picks the benefit of the doubt. She was there, but the reality is that we weren't able to get a lot of information because the White House locked it ongoing obstruction of Justice. When the chairman, Jerry Nadler did say, though, that you did get quote, a lot of good information. Do you know what information he was talking about there? Well, I think that some of the she did start answering some questions around the campaign, and it may be that he's talking about a few pieces there, we obviously are trying to continue to piece things together. We also had her read some of the very specific pieces in the Muller report that talk about her involvement, the typing of the notes that, that were given to her by Corey Lewandowski. And as you remember those notes were taken because the president said, write this down, and this was in terms of a message to be delivered to sessions, a speech. He wanted sessions to give basically even though sessions had recused himself from from the investigation. He wanted sessions to give a speech speech that said that Trump is a great guy, and this is an unfair investigation. It never should have happened. He asked Corey Lewandowski to write down, what he dictated. And then Corey Lewandowski, sometime later gave those notes over to hope Hicks to type up. And then to turn over to. Another individual. And so we had her read some of those passages. And I do think that, that's very important because again, she is claiming that she can't answer questions that she already answered to Robert Muller, and I think that is significant that, of course happened, though. Well, did that happen when she was in the White House, you had her read that out loud, even though she was in the White House, and she agreed to it? We she did read it out, because it was from the Muller report. So she read the passages and then refused to answer any questions because her lawyers objected. And so she didn't answer any questions about whether that was truthful testimony or anything like that should read it out that is interesting..
