How Economist Stephen Moore Connected With President Trump
"Did you connect with president Trump or candidate Trump? So Larry kudlow and I and laugh were interviewing all the presidents who were running all the candidates for president back in late 2015. And remember there were a lot of 16. I don't know if we were to remove all of them, but we did most of them. And Trump was one of the last ones we talked to. And how did that discussion go? First, well, what happened is he wanted to meet with Larry and myself privately. And that was Corey Lewandowski. Remember Cory was running the campaign, did a fantastic job. And we went and I didn't like Trump. I didn't I've never met him. I just didn't like him. I just thought he was kind of a blowhard of blah blah blah. And we went in and spent an hour and a half just me, Larry, and Trump. No, other people. Which I thought was interesting. Again, usually these politicians are filled with people. And I remember Larry and I'll never forget this. Larry and I walked out of that room and were like, he's going to be president. Really? That's how blown away we have. But he agreed with you. We had a great conversation. I mean, I love Trump because you can argue with the guy. Yeah. You know? You know, and it was me, and I was just so blown away by this guy. I don't know. Look, I told Trump. I don't agree with you on trade, and you know, bite back and forth, but I love the fact that he was willing to take on the conventional wisdom in Washington. And the whole drain the swamp message. That's why I won. That's right. Totally. Totally.

"Don't blame him. I mean, the book is supposed to stop there, but within his top inner circle, these people brought in the rhinos, and it was a big mistake. I'll tell you one of the biggest villains in rightly so in taking back Trump's America. And the key basically to taking back Trump's marriage is Mitch McConnell. I mean, that guy, okay, so he gave us a bunch of judges quickly, good for him good for president Trump, but at the same time he was moving judges like Greece, lightning through the process, he was preventing all of the Trump appointees to the top cabinet agencies from getting smooth confirmation hearings. And as a result, Brian, we couldn't drain the swamp and McConnell to this day. I mean, he's like, he's causing the havoc. We're trying to take back the Senate and Mitch McConnell is screwing Blake masters in Arizona trying to win that seat. He's screwing JD Vance in Ohio. He's screwing Herschel Walker. He's screwing around because there's a battle, Brian. Within the Republican Party for the hearts and minds of that party, Trump represents the people, he transformed that party into the party of the working class, but boy, Mitch McConnell didn't get that memo. He still wants to offshore our jobs and take money from Wall Street and Silicon Valley and the multinational corporations. And this is, this is what we've got to change. And Trump's the guy to do it. Peter, one name that comes up prominently that you haven't referenced so far Jared Kushner. Yes. Yes. The Rasputin that I'm quite quite honest about in the book. Look, Jared, I got along with him in the west wing. We never had any harsh words, but I was appalled. You had like a 30 Shelton guy come in is a Liberal Democrat who knows nothing other than how to make money in real estate. And the next thing you know, he's got his finger in every pie and I hold him along with Mnuchin accountable for Donald Trump not being in The White House and Jared was not only stopped on timing to China when he stuck his nose in the managing the pandemic. He made things worse not better. And most of all, Brian, we had, you know, I was the only one of three guys who was with the boss from the campaign in 2016 to the end. I saw it all in the first thing I saw was 20 people on Trump force one in 2016 and Steve Bannon run the most beautiful efficient slimmed down come from behind underfunded campaign, have any in history. And flip over to 2020, Jerry's the campaign manager, and he was burning money like a monkey with a flamethrower early long before election day, and we Brian, we ran that we outraised Biden, but he outspent us in the final 6 weeks of the campaign. And that was on that was on Jared Kushner. And by the way, we had like, I mean, they're handing out paychecks to young kids effectively who didn't know anything to get like 6 figures and bloated payroll. I mean, I don't know what this guy was thinking. There is a funny story in the book also, through the heroes in the book, Corey Lewandowski and Dave bathy have a confrontation with Jared because Jared keeps going into the boss and adding like 6 or 7 points to whatever the poll numbers were, given them a rosy situation. Making us complacent. And it was just wrong. And Jared, look, he can't get himself out of being in The White House again. So we don't have to worry about that because what did he do? What are you doing now? He cashed in. And everybody put on his virtual rolodex now. He's raising a bunch of money and making money. And then Mnuchin. That's what they did. They were there as entrepreneurs, usually they were grifters and they used the process and now they're prospering. They got more money than both of us will ever see in our lifetime. But boy, both of them to damage to this country and the boss. So, Peter, tell us about your situation because before the release of your book this week, I mean the last we heard of you, you're the latest game, the sharp end of the federal stick. What's going on with your situation? But more like leg irons in solitary confinement in jail. You know, what's funny, Brian, and in the darkly comma kafkaesque way, as I sit here talking with you, I'm looking at my window at both the Justice Department and the FBI, which is a field goal away for your listeners. They don't know this. The Jan 6 comedic committee subpoenaed me, Donald Trump invoked what's called executive privilege. It was not my privilege to wave. I asked the committee to go ahead and negotiate a waiver to privilege so I could cooperate with them. They wouldn't make the call. Nor would the Justice Department, the only call they made was on me going to the airport. I get to Reagan. They let me sit there for an hour, 8 minute jet way with 5 armed agents for a misdemeanor. Rather than calling me like you're supposed to with a voluntary surrender, it should have been pro forma. But my raid was effectively the canary in the coal mine for what they did to the boss at Mar-a-Lago. It's like this bullying coercive tactics of this administration. And this guy get back the book taking back Trump's marriage. It is a mission. We have, we have got to take back Trump's America and trade it off, get the Biden America, the hell out of here, because look, the stock market today, I don't think you noticed it. Again, another down day. I predicted I'm a macro economist by training. I forecast back in November when the Dow was 36,000 at that thing was going down, not up. And what it's going to break 30,000 is going to see 25,000 before it sees 40 because we've got stagflation, which is the product, is the product of Biden's policies and Jerome Powell. And there's a chapter in taking back Trump's America where he in check this out, right. In May of 2020, I was still in The White House. I wrote a memo to the president Meadows, the chief of staff, warning of stagflation, the kind that could come because of the structural changes being brought about by the pandemic and by the forces arrayed against this including the Democrats propensity to spend too much money too few goods and causing inflation. And lo and behold, Biden gets in there, dismantles everything Trump holds dear in terms of policy, whether it's in taxes, deregulation. I mean, we had Brian, we had strategic energy dominance. We were an energy exporter. And now we're begging the Russians OPEC and the Saudis for oil and people can't afford to eat. It's been a rude awakening. No question. No questions, but a rude awakening for the entire country and we got

Corey Lewandowski Agrees With Dan Bongino on Sussmann Trial
"Corey Dan bongino called the sussman trial and the revelations that are being uncovered. The biggest political scandal in modern American history. I agree with that. Do you? I absolutely agree with it. And the fact that it isn't being covered in most of the press is because they know it's true. They know sussman lied to the FBI. They know the political hit job. And at minimum, they were complicit in this. I know. That came to. They knew this whole dossier was fake. The media did nothing to validate it. They took sussman at his word and they peddled information. Look, Michael, don't forget the guy who lied on the Pfizer applications who was an FBI employee. He liked a spy in Americans, got a one year probation. He still works at the FBI

Can you imagine if Corey Lewandowski as the former campaign manager, Donald Trump was on trial right now for peddling misinformation? And trying to and being accused of lying to the FBI. I mean, the problem we have Michael is, look at lying to the FBI, it's only a crime if you're a normal person. If you're a special person and you're Andy mccabe or your Peter struck or at least a page or in this case sussman, there is no crime. Cory. Don't worry about it.

The New York Post ran this story, the fourth largest newspaper in America, and if you attempted to share the New York Post story, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who also owns The Wall Street Journal, if you attempted to share that, you were flagged for disinformation on Twitter, right? Why is it that once The New York Times decides something is validated that the rest of the media comes and says, well, The New York Times said it. Look, over the weekend, The New York Times said that 5000 kids between the ages of 5 and 11 years old, 11 years old, died from COVID. Absolutely not true. I know. Michael, there's a lot of guys like clue and asking other people who've been part of team Trump that were vilified and chastised by the legacy media, told us we were liars and wrong, only to see them go back and change their headlines 7 years later, say, whoops, I guess the Hunter Biden laptop, oops, I guess the whole Russia collusion narrative was a falsehood. We'll keep the Pulitzer Prize that we got. And sorry for destroying your lives. When does that apology come? Well, in fact, funny, you mentioned that because I was just reading over the weekend, NBC News has now joined The New York Times, The Washington Post Politico in verifying the laptop dismissed as Russian disinformation in 2020. Corey, give me your thoughts, give me your take. I know you're following this Michael sussman trial pretty closely. What's the Corey Lewandowski takeaway of what we've learned so far? Michael, here's the problem. Sussman is probably going to be found guilty of lying to the FBI because we have his text messages when he reached out to baker who at the time was the chief legal counsel for the FBI and said I'd like to come and see you and it's not for a client and it's not for a political campaign just as the goodness of my own heart. I want to share this information with you. We have that text message and that's what Durham predicated this whole follow-up on. Now what we're going to find out, though, because justice is not equally distributed, we know that Robbie milk has now said that Hillary Clinton green lit this, but that Robbie never knew it was going to go to the FBI. We were just going to give it to The New York Times. And what sussman told baker we now know was we think you should investigate this because The New York Times is about to run the store. And then baker actually called The New York Times and said, hey, please don't run the story yet because the FBI wants to track it down when the entire time Susan was a source to The New York Times. And so what's going to happen to sussman? My guess is, I get to slap on the wrist. Maybe he loses his law license for a year. Maybe he gets probation, but his life will get destroyed like Michael Flynn. He's not going to end up bankrupt. He's not going to be dragged in front of Congress like Corey Lewandowski was in front of Jerry Nadler.

Every one of them did. It's called insider trading. Let's start there. Then on top of that, they're really so stupid to think that the average American will go spend anywhere from 70 to $90,000 for an electric car and have their house rewired to put in one of these plugs, which you still got to pay for the electric. Which I'm told is going to run us anywhere from 70 to a $100 a week to charge one of these damn cars.

"Let's get back to our weekly look at the week that was. Let's get to issue three and kristi nome last year. Literal parades were being thrown for one. South dakota governor christie noam after her strong stance against lockdowns and business closures and her state stop the spread of corona virus. The former south dakota congresswoman now governor was seen as a potential rising star in the gop ranks even earning a speaking gig at last year's gop convention. Now she's on twitter. Picking fights with the daily wires. Matt walsh signing an edited video of him. Saying he's a misogynist mind. What a difference a year can make the first major eyebrow raiser for many was her decision not tobacco bill her legislature had passed banning dudes from competing on women's sports teams in her stent reason. She didn't want to miss out on the ncaa hosting events there then this past week. She's repeatedly decried another bill in her legislature. Which would outlaw the mandating of the covy vaccine as a condition of employment quote. Think about this if i had the ability to dictate vaccine policy to businesses then so does joe biden. Thank god neither of us. Steel that led to the daily wires. Matt walsh correctly pointing out. How she's a corporatist in her. Good looks are a major contributing factor as to why she's seen favorably as she is bhai. Some noam took that video edited out the criticism part and focused on walsh's comments about her looks and subsequently her dissembling was complete her chief advisor former trump advisor. Corey lewandowski actually decided to come after me on on twitter yesterday so of of two which i decided to respond all those of you that witnessed the exchange. You can decide who got the better of that Upon yourselves. But i just i mean his he invoked trump who has nothing to do with us whatsoever and other than the only reason. Corey lewandowski is looked at as success in this business. Is he latched onto the guy that made him successful in donald trump. But i have no idea what that has to do with criticizing kristi nome but You know we had conservative. Cancel culture when you criticized her position on gender madness. And now you've got her editing out The actual criticism that matt wash lobbied substantively in order to paint him as strictly a misogynist. In a tactic that even joy reed. I think would find at least a tad hack tastic. Maybe i don't know so. Let's get to the first question shannon. We'll go to you. What does the decline and fall at least recently of christie noam. Tell us about the current republican party. I mean a year ago at this time she was a folk here if you would have gone back a year ago at this time and told me hey a year from now here is what you're gonna have to be saying about this gal. I'd have never believed it in a million years. So what does this tell us about the republican party channel. I think it tells us two things. One thing about the republican party and one thing about its base conservatives. We the people. It shows us that. The republican party has not changed at all despite the march of fascism through this country the medical tyranny. The lies the station. It shows us that the republican party is a non entity. They are not involved. They've accepted the premise. They've accepted the narrative they continue to play in the sandbox and they are tone-deaf to the suffering of so many millions of americans both left and right democrats republicans it also says something though about we the people and how quickly normally it would take three four five six seven eight years for someone like christie gnome to go through this cycle of a conservative hero to you know. Throw or off the pickup truck onto the next. And that's something very good. It's it shows that we're waking up to this. You know the razzle-dazzle campaign that republicans use the rhetoric versus real discernible policy. Outcome style over substance. Right they tried out these characters. she looks really good. She's gun toting very You know effective in her communication. But really when you when you drill down and you look at policy album. She's no different than the lindsey graham's and the mitch mcconnell's in that machine that just we cannot get rid of so. I think that we are moving towards something happening. Both parties are essentially the same that universal prediction. That i've been making for so many years is be i think becoming more clear as we move in. You know as they expose themselves. That's becoming more clear so I think it's a it's a good thing and i'm glad that she's being exposed as early as she has. Aaron what say you yeah. I think what this says about. The republican party is there is always always Always a lot of vigor. In a lot of haste to make stars out of people who don't really who don't really deserve it. What do you say all the time. And i think you may be invoked it again earlier this week yesterday when it came to the bombings. Never in a hurry to be or never Never heard you to be the first to be wrong something like that. The republican party has always in a hurry to be the first w wrong. I mean we've had hero after hero. Nuke served in new conservative hero. Trademark new conservative hero trademark. Give them a gig. Get cpac loads of of of followers in huge following and then stuff like this happens like this invariably almost always happens. One is because they're humans and they're going to let people down but the other is because they just don't really have a tethering for world veer. The world view of the republican party is make as much stay in power. As long as i possibly can make as much money on k. Street as as as long as i possibly can in the first thing falls through. Then i'll just go and do the second thing and rely on the next guy who follows me to enrichment and that seems to be the world view of the republican party and when you get your pesky base when they start to act up then you start to you know do what you can to keep them under control except for a few months during an election year so what this says about.

"Weird enough. Also we had sent a producer to the event our producer at the trump announcement actually heard people in the vip section talking about how to them. It seemed like maybe this supposed crowd of trump's supporters actually included a considerable number of people who were being paid to be there who weren't legitimate trump supporters. We also talked to an anti-trump activists who said that he attended the launch that day and got in the same vibe that our producer did He then found social media postings from the event not from people who were actual trump supporters. Who wanted to brag about the fact that they had been there. In fact there was a suspicious dearth of posts like that instead. What he found were social media posts from new york city actors. People who use regularly used their social media accounts to promote acting gigs in acting gigs. In which they have participated that was the social media record of the event so peace and all that together and then by the day after the trump campaign laws. Hollywood reporter actually got hand on an email sent out by a company called extra mile casting extra mile double entendre. This is like we'll go the extra mile for you. But also this is a company that provides extras extras for. Photo shoots and movies and tv shows and stuff extras are. They're acting jobs but it's not people who have speaking roles generally it's warm bodies in the background of a scene somewhere particularly if you need a lot of them people who are otherwise trying to get better gigs as actors will sometimes take a gig as an extra just to make extra cash one point in my life when i had very little money and was piecing it together with multiple jobs worked as an extra on a few different film sets. I wasn't an actor buddy. You could get paid like fifty bucks or one hundred bucks just to stand around and do what they said. And you probably wouldn't end up on camera anyway kind of fun easier than a lot of my bad jobs. But anyway you hire extras like in bulk. You don't you don't have to be discerning about it. It's like it's like i need x. Number of people to appear in place at the time they should be dressed like this. They should behave this way. And then there's the terms of the deal in total it's x. hours of work they'll all get a flat fee of x. Dollars by the end of it this is these are these are regular gigs. This is not an infrequent thing. It's nothing scandalous about it. And this company extra the extra mile new york city does this business. Nothing wrong with it. Totally respectable business totally legit but the day after trump announced his presidential campaign. And there was all this sort of corroborating circumstantial evidence that maybe there was something a little weird and artificial about the crowd. The hollywood reporter did obtained an email sent from that company. The extra mile an email blast sent out to their list of actors their list of potential extras. So they hire for all sorts of different. Gigs said hi there. We're working with our associates. At gotham government relations. Were working with them. At a big event happening. Tuesday june sixteenth. This is an event in support of donald trump in an upcoming exciting announcement. He'll be making this event. The event will be televised. That's an important thing for people that are considering extras gigs. We're looking to cast people for the event to wear t shirts and carry signs and helped cheer him. In support of his announcement the continued. This is great. We understand that. This is not a traditional background job. Meaning it's not the traditional acting job would usually be hiring you for is an extra they say quote but we believe acting comes in all forms and this is inclusive of that school of thought. The event is happening. Live and we'll be from eight forty five. Am to eleven. Thirty am then an all caps. That's less than three hours. Meaning even if this sounds disgusting to you. It's less than three hours. And the rate for this event is fifty bucks cash at the end of the event. Isn't that an easy way to make money what we would love to book. If you're interested in still available. Please let us know so the day after this reality show guy. Donald trump announced his campaign for president. We reported on this story. I mean it's kind of remarkable thing right. The guy was being treated by the republican party and much of the political press as a normal republican candidate. But it's not normal for a politician to have to pay people to pretend to support his campaign. That's sort of crazy right. Especially because at that campaign launch event filled with actors trump went out of his way to talk about his huge crowd and how much bigger his crowd or supporters was compared to the other candidates at their launch events. He paid for them. That's story by rights that should become like a foundational thing that you know about a candidate. It's like finding that politician as a secret second family you can like never you can never forget that and talk about like what their stances on light rail. You're always thinking like isn't that the doodoo at the secret. Second family right a politician paying fake supporters to pretend to be there in support of his candidacy. that's crazy. You can never never escape that right so the day. After trump announced his presidential campaign. We covered that that day. We got so much shade for that. It was like we stepped on their tail. The way they screamed and the trump campaign manager corey lewandowski. Dusky denied it. In the most uncompromising terms he said there is nobody who believes that when donald trump goes somewhere he does not generate the biggest largest and most rambunctious crowds on the planet. Mr trump draws record crowds at almost every event at which he is a featured speaker. The crowds are often large often. Record-setting and enthusiastic often with standing ovations. He said this this whole story about about hiring actors for the campaign was ally ally fake news fake news he said quote it is just not true unequivocally the donald trump campaign and donald trump did not pay anybody to attend his announcement that was trump's campaign manager in two thousand fifteen when we first covered that story and they screamed bloody murder boy. Did we get a raft of sh should chisel for our coverage of that story now that same trump campaign manager admits that actually the story was true same A trump campaign manager telling business insider that it really was quote fifty dollars for every person to come in to stand in trump tower. I now they admit it. We knew it from the beginning. We reported it from the very beginning. But all the lies and the denial and the volume of the complaining in the counterattacks somehow kept this from being one of the foundational things. We understood about this little disastrous adventure. We've just been through an american politics and history. He did not start off with any actual supporters. He started off as just a famous person on tv. Who had to pay to fake it to appear to have political support that he did not actually have but faking. It was good enough. You paid a fake it well enough and for long enough and if that's what it looks on. Tv looks like on tv. Eventually you can turn the fake to appearance of support into actual support.

"44 542 42. That is the toll free number of the Howie Carr show 844 500. 42 42. We've been talking about the audit the election audit that's been going on and just began. It was being organized. But it just began and Wyndham, New Hampshire yesterday. And what it's all about is that in in a state reps racist last November, the results seem somewhat skewed. So they did a recount. And it turned out that the four Republican candidates, all of whom prevailed. All were undercounted, shorted by between 298 302 votes. That's a very strange Number that it would be that close and they would all lose the same number of votes. And when they did the the first audit the Democrat one of the Democrats, anyway. Lost lost. 90 had 99 votes subtract that while the Republicans were all having, 300 added So this became an interesting incident, and the Republicans who are now again in the majority in the New Hampshire Legislature, passed a bill to demand a complete election audit of try to figure out what the hell happened in the town of Wyndham. It Z 14,000 people that you know where it is. It's right near the very close to the Massachusetts line. Lot of former Massachusetts residents living there. Corey Lewandowski lives there and the President Trump has taken an interest in this. He sent out an email about it saying congratulations for getting the audit and they've been There's been controversy about the people who are being asked to audit it, and we just wanted to check in. And see how the audit was going. It supposedly started yesterday. They had pictures on all the New Hampshire outlets of the state. Police taken the taken the boxes full of ballots into the into the counting area, but I didn't see any any follow up stories today and any of the papers about what was going on. So we're joined now by Dr David strength and he's one of the experts on the Wyndham election audit, and he's been working closely with New Hampshire state Senator Bob Guida, who got the law passed to get the audit and s O and their number of people that are involved in this, But we want to check in with Dr Strange and just get an update, and we'll keep you informed about this as time goes on Dr Strength, Thanks for being with us here on the Howie Carr show. Oh, Captain, my captain. Thank you so much for the invitation. Well, listen, What's going on? What? What? Like what happened today? Is the count going on or what's the situation? Why was there nothing in the newspapers about this this morning? Well, I think the mainstream media is entirely disinterested in covering this because there's no fact checking that is necessary. We have a November 3rd machine count. Disagrees with a November 12 hand recount for these four New Hampshire House races, and it begs an explanation. I mean, 300 votes, yes, but it was over 6% of the original total for these four winning Republicans. In the 99 Volt lost for the challenging Democrat was 2.2% of her original vote count. We've never had swings of that magnitude before in the history of New Hampshire elections. And so it s so what is being done right now? We again we saw the pictures of the state cops bringing in the boxes yesterday. What are you doing? What? The balance at this point. Well, at this point, they're they're actually, um, counting the ballots. When the secretary of state completed this hand recount on November 12, their office never totaled the number of ballots they processed. Most of us find that incredible How can you do a recount without even writing down? How many ballots you process But nonetheless, that's what they did, and it's led to all sorts of conjecture. How we could get these differences so close to multiples of 100. So right now, this bill requires that they hand count again. The four New Hampshire House races but also the U. S Senate race between quirky Mestre and Jeanne Shaheen and the New Hampshire governor's race between Dan Feltus and Kristen, you knew, And then they're gonna take all 10,000 and six ballots and run them through each of the four machines and see what kind of counts they get. And Hopefully, they'll agree, but we don't know because they haven't completed that part yet. What is this? What? What kind of Pandora's box? Does this open up, though I can all the cities and towns petition or have their legislators petition to have recounts in in all these different races? Or is it or is it? I thought there was a New Hampshire law that said, You could only have a recount if you're within 2%, or 1% of losing candidate to a winning candidate. Well, a candidate can ask for a recount, regardless of the percentage of difference if it's less than 1%. I believe there's no charge for it. If it's between one and 2%. It costs a little bit more and then Higher the difference between winning and losing the greater the cost, But you can only ask for a recount up till the Friday following the election after that, there there is no recount, so a lot of people are calling these recounts, but they're actually audits. We can't have the ability to change the outcome of the election and potentially seat a different candidate in the office. These are audits. They do not have the ability to change the election results. Now there's a guy named Pulitzer, who was I think he's out in Arizona. Reason he's been involved in the Maricopa County recount and he's apparently really good. I T guy And I are the some people in in in New Hampshire, raising money to try to bring him in. But isn't it too late? I mean, heaven hasn't everybody made their decision on who's gonna be counting for for the Republicans for the Democrats for the secretary of State? Yes, those choices have been made. There were three analysts to be chosen to make up our audit team one to be chosen by the town of Wyndham, and they chose verified voting, and Dr Andrew Appel, a second choice by the secretary of State and the attorney general. That was Harry, her city. And then those two analysts would choose a third and that was chosen to be Phil Stark from California. Now he just got here last night, and they were already starting to do things yesterday and And the conversations I've had with Mr Stark, he said. The audit couldn't possibly start today. We have so much set up an organization that needs to be done. We need days to complete this. So, um I really feel that the process is being rushed. So how? How is this going to end up? Where does this end? Well, um, how are you? I wish I had better news. But sadly, I think this is being set up to be a whitewash and possibly, um, a sham. And here's why This is being orchestrated by the attorney general and the secretary of state, both of whom are compromised the secretary of state because he's the author of one of the two discrepancy counts. That being the hand recount of November 12th. He has a vested interest to see that one being shown to be correct. He's an appointee, though not be involved..

Shady Deals at Trump Properties
"President surrounds himself with criminals? His campaign chair. His deputy campaign chair is former national. Security Adviser you. You get the picture and as a rule if you're a politician that kind of thing isn't generally a great move but it does offer one surprising benefit when one of those folks turns turns on you you can point to their own shading dealings and say what anyone trust this person and as the president has defenders go after Parnasse repeating the same. You can't trust him line or I don't even know him remember. We have seen this all before with the last bag. Man Who talked about President Michel Com for about a decade Cohn was the Executive Vice President Trump Organization and Donald Trump's special counsel in September of two thousand seventeen profile of him appeared in Vanity Fair entitled. Michael Cohen would take a bullet for Donald Trump. The piece points out cones extreme loyalty to the president quote cone has been described as the sixth trump child. Or as Tom Hagen in this twisted version of the Godfather and sometimes as both Michael Cohen was the president's fixer but that relationship started to fall apart in early early twenty eighteen as news leaked out of illegal hush money payments made to women ahead of presidential election by April the FBI had redid. Cohen's office and hotel room in Hatton seizing recordings electronic devices. Initially the president was supportive of his longtime attorney. Michael lawyer who. I've always liked him respected. Most most people will flip if the government lets out of trouble sorry. I don't see Michael doing that. Despite the horrible which hunt and the dishonest media but on the day after Cohen pleaded guilty to do eight federal crimes including campaign finance violations. Implicating the president directly as an unindicted co-conspirator individual one the president trashed him quote. If anyone is looking for a good lawyer I would strongly suggest that you don't retain the services of Michael Cohen burn months later. Cohen found himself before Congress delivering a warning. I did the same thing that you're doing now. For Ten years I protected Mr Trump on for ten years and I can only warn people the more people that follow. Mr Trump as I did blindly are going to suffer the same consequences suances that I'm suffering. Michael Cohen pulled back. The curtain. On trump world in two thousand eighteen and live parnasse did that last night telling us what an absolute cesspool of conflicts flicks of interest corruption and shady characters around the President United States. We'll talk about that next today. The the FBI showed up at the home of Robert F. Hide just days after the house. Intelligence Committee released text messages. Provided by indicted Giuliani associate partners in which hide appears to be representing sending himself as actively surveilling then. US Ambassador Ukraine revanche high was told NBC News. He was drunk and unserious when he sent those tax. The question you have to ask ask yourself is how did someone like Robert. Hi gain access to the United States and the answer to that was laid out by himself told Rachel maddow how easy it is to get. Close the presents inner circle just show up at the trump international hotel in Washington DC. That's how Parnasse himself met Robert. Hi You met him where I met him at the I think the trump hotel yes trump hotel. He was a regular at the bar because it was like a breeding ground that trump hotel so it every event would be there so everybody would hang out there afterwards. Everybody all the meetings would be there. So it's basically you would see the same people every day or the same congressman that supported the president would be there and nobody else so he was a fixture on site he was always there and but he was always drunk. What you got in the stands where the trump hotel it's like one a big Cesspool and there's really hard to keep any secrets for more on that Cesspool joined by independent journalists sack efforts in the last two years staking out the trump hotel and writing up what he saw in the eleven hundred Pennsylvania newsletter and an article for Vanity Fair titled Power Tripping the swamp how trump's DC hotel swallowed Washington Zach. This is your beep deep probably more than it is anyone's beaten. I'm curious how is description. Squared with what you've been reporting over the last two years it's spot on. I mean Robert Hyde was on my radar Ariza early as April e. You look at his instagram. And they were pictures of him with the president pictures of him with the vice president all sorts of important people and for him it actually transcended ended the trump hotel. I think he was at six different trump properties. But if you want to project important you can just go hang out at the hotel and take some pictures one of the things that has struck me about about this where we are right now. The impeachment is usually it is very hard to get to the present United States and and and that's for that can be really maddening for people when you're trying to if you're working in the in the staff of the White House and you want to get the president something on his agenda. It's hard to get to him This president seems remarkably easy to get to buy all kinds of people with all kinds of agendas and it seems like his properties are the nexus of this this kind of soft corruption absolutely. I spoke to the president at the trump trump hotel. I was staying there researching one of my articles in for the cost of a nice steak dinner I was able to chat with the president which mix for really good social media posts there so if you you just you know hanging out there take your pictures with your Kevin McCarthy user Mike Pence's as they go back and forth now they're usually not upfront in the bar they're usually going back and forth from the entrance way way to private rooms but see them coming and going you can collect enough pictures and you look like you're really important and then what do you do with that really important the look like you're really important. Well well I think with Robert Heidi. He's using it to run for Congress and there are certainly some other people who are running for Congress typically Republican challengers who seem to be collecting pictures of themselves to the trump hotel. But I've seen some people move from the lobby where the lesser swamp. Thing's hang out to the back rooms and I. I don't know exactly what they're doing to get back there. But looking on social media it almost looks like that they are puffing up their importance with a lot of pictures and then all of a sudden they kind of get to be important That's interesting what. What do you mean by backrooms described it because at one point apartments talking about a private dinner with the president which I think happens there in the hotel room? What is what's the sort of distinction between the the the lobby bar in the backrooms actual important power players are so there's really two tiers if you go out in the lobby? That's where you're gonNA find you not even Fox News host but like Fox News guests are going to be hanging out there. People who really wanted to be seen in need to be seen to kind of project some sort of importance but they may not actually be that important example. Corey Lewandowski is somebody. You'll see it there rudy. Giuliani was the exception to that. But it's the back rooms. It's the trump townhouse which is where if died with dined with the president. And it's the Franklin study in the Lincoln Library where they had those private events. And that's where you'll see the mingling with special interest groups that have flown in lobbyists. Anybody can see them coming back and forth though to the main entrance which is where some of these other interactions come from and is that final question here like do like my understanding from the reporting we haven't from the disclosures that special interest groups if you're trying to get a rag changed if you're trying to get a piece of legislation like they we know that's the place to go and that's where those back room meetings happen. It can't hurt. There's absolutely no downside to booking the trump hotel now. I spoke to lobbyist obvious really early on when it was clear that hotel was going to stick around. said they're going to go there to try to influence them in response was of course they are. Why wouldn't they yeah? Search efforts in who's been covering this beaten his newsletter. Thanks a

The Charlie Kirk Show
Where the fake Trump media massacre video came from, and other things to know about it
"All right so for those of you that might not be totally into this story or understanding where it's come from this was totally trending on twitter all day a and it just so happens that I spoke at the conference where this is the center of controversy so there was a horrific museum video where you're donald trump massacres fake news media now essentially there's these videos that go around and there's this community of people that love the president so much they'll take popular videos superimpose the face of Donald trump onto somebody kickboxing or somebody with a lightsaber fighting people they disagree with so I guess the most this one was the CNN which with precise which was the body slam when the wwe one because the president shared that one and so this particular video was from the movies kingsman which is about the British Secret Service or something starring Colin Firth actually doesn't fourteen. I've never enjoyed those movies I it's called the dark comedy only for some people only some people very cheesy I never liked that movie right somehow killing people's funny but no there is a whole genre it appeals to a certain the demographics never liked the not Nora Nora I've tried to watch it a couple times is just not really my my genre so anyway this memoir so those that don't seem to have to define what a menas because we do have some people okay so mean is what is the best way to find a mean kind of like when you know it Ben Johnson Adam Benny Johnson chief creative officer turning point USA so look amine is a picture or a video that satirizes or explains an issue in a short sound bite that usually his comedy or uses wit I guess that's a good way to put it that it turns it on its head flips it sure Iran nick insightful. Almost here's the best way I can describe it it's the Internet's equivalent of political cartoons that a good way to put it share okay a modern digital essentially this scene in kingsman which I don't understand how this scene was really funnier incite fuller enjoyable the watch but allegedly there was a scene where somebody walks into a church and kills a bunch of people that was the scene Church massacre and they superimposed Donald Trump's face to be the guy that's killing everyone and then he's killing the fake news media CNN MSNBC as well as Democrats like Barack Obama Nancy Pelosi unless we totally denounces videos unequivocally and totally I don't think it's funny to show violence against other people I think it's it's not my not my taste I don't think it's funny people I find that Kinda dark humor interesting I'm not one of those people however he let's just get through some facts they say this was shown at the president's Miami resort so all of the media covering this is insinuating as if the president approved this or this was at his resort he didn't at all okay so I was at this event it was a unique event it was one with a lot of energy and a lot of people that were really excited to be there and Donald Trump junior Sarah Sanders governor on descent data's thankful to be invited you know so this video is shown in a side room in a breakout room against a wall in a very kind of make shift CAPAC- acidy and Don Jr. Ron to Santa Sarah Sanders myself and Corey Lewandowski knew nothing of it we didn't know about this until the news actually broke and now we're being lumped into this I might have spent forty minutes at this event basically the entire time I was at the event was when I was speaking in and out and Laura Ingraham that night and then I flew to Detroit super early the next morning I didn't hang around it was not but they're acting as if we were behind this entire thing the headlines are all all sort of inferring it's like Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Donald trump junior charlie kirk and this

Spy chief defends handling of "unprecedented" whistleblower complaint
"Welcome to a special edition of the lead the White House in crisis. I'm jake tapper and what has been a nonstop and truly unprecedented day of news. President trump apparently furious about the whistle blower whose allegations now threatened to bring about his impeachment sources. Tell Mr trump behind closed doors earlier today said he wanted to know who in his administration spoke with the whistle blower and according wanting to the New York Times which first reported the story president trump then said quote because that's close to a spy. You know what we used to do. In the old days when we were smart with spies and treason right we used to handle it a little differently than we do now unquote and apparent reference there to executions as well as a misuse of the term treason season but the president's over the top response comes in context comes after a key moment in the trump impeachment inquiry today we got our first look at the full whistleblower a complaint about the president the one that sparked this whole impeachment investigation this whistle blower sounding the alarm about president trump using his power to get Ukraine aim to interfere in the two thousand twenty election and the White House according to the whistle blower then trying to lock down records of that phone call hiding the transcript in a computer system or only the most sensitive national security information is typically stored today House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said it is clear what this sounds like to her. This is a cover up allegations of abuse of power and an ensuing cover up. If would-be quite damning would be extremely unethical and now of course it is up to Congress decide if those acts happened and if they are impeachable today the acting director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire testified on Capitol Hill defending the decision to not immediately hand over the whistle blower complaint to Congress as prescribed by law but Maguire would not say whether he spoke to president trump about the matter. Did you ever speak to the president about this complaint my conversations with the president because I'm the director of National Intelligence are privileged acting DNA McGuire added that he thought the whistle blower and the intelligence community inspector inspector general both acted in good faith. Let's go straight to CNN Sara Murray and Sarah. Despite president trump attacking the whistle blowers sources the acting spy. Hi Chief says he believes the whistle blower did all the right things. That's right jake president trump and his Republican allies have questioned the credibility the motives of this whistleblower whistle blower and we saw from the acting deny today as he was pairing these questions from lawmakers he said look it is not my job to investigate this complaint that was up to the inspector general he he found this complaint to be credible any went on to say that he believes both the inspector general and this whistleblower did essentially exactly what you're supposed to do. In this situation. I want to stress that I believe that the whistle blower and the inspector general have acted in good faith throughout I I have every reason to believe that they have done everything by the book and followed the law so you can see him sort of stepping out there and offering the defense he could he also admitted that he does not know who this whistle blower as he does not want to know who this whistle-blower as though he's committed to maintaining this person's protections and ensuring they're not retaliated against Jake and Sarah the the acting director of National Intelligence McGuire was asked multiple times about his conversations with President trump about this he refused to answer but there was was one part of his conversations with President trump that he was willing to discuss. That's right jake I mean. This is obviously a point of frustration for lawmakers. They wanted to know whether he and the president had ever talked about the complaint. He wouldn't say anything about that but he was asked to. The president want to know who this whistle blower was. Did he want you to find find out. Here's what he said did the president of the United States ask you to find out the identity of the whistle blower. I can say although I would not normally discuss my conversations with the president. I can tell you emphatically no now. He also confirmed that no one else at the White House no one else at the Justice Justice Department has asked him to try to figure out who the whistle blower is but jake you can imagine lawmakers were very skeptical. Today they had a lot of questions for him about why he would have taken a complaint that mentions the president and Attorney General Bill Bar by name and then gone to the White House and the Justice Department indeed Sara Murray thanks so much complaint lays out in detail the whistle blowers concerns concerns the president trump was pushing a foreign power Ukraine to investigate his potential twenty twenty opponent senior Justice correspondent Evan Perez with me now and Evan. What what exactly does the whistle blower say about President Trump's conduct well jake this is the bombshell really in the complaint and it has to do with what exactly the president was up up to when he was making these conversations saying these things to the president of Ukraine part of the complaint says in part I have received information from multiple. US government government officials that the president of the United States is using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country into twenty twenty US election obviously Jake that is the the center of this controversy now that the White House has released a phone call. Everyone can make a judgment to determine whether or not they believe this is what the president was doing asking. The Ukrainians needs to investigate his likely rival in the twenty twenty election heaven. What does this whistle blower saying the letter about how the White House handled the aftermath of the phone call right end what the whistle blower says that there was an attempt to cover up essentially people at the White House knew that this could be a problem and so what the whistle blower lower says in part is this. I learned from multiple. US officials that senior White House officials have have intervened to lock down all records of the phone call. This is the Ukrainian phone call especially the official word for word transcript of the call that was produce. This set of actions underscored to me that White House officials understood stood the gravity of what transpired in the call and Jake according to this to this whistleblower other phone calls other interactions were handling it in a different manner or this one was handled in a completely separate way and again. That's that's leading to all of the accusations of a cover up all right. Evan Perez thank you so much the New York Times first reported in CNN and has confirmed that president trump earlier today told staff from the United States mission to the United Nations that he wanted to know who provided information to the whistle blower about his call call with Ukrainian president and whoever talked to the whistle blower was quote close to a spy and then he said quote in the old days spies were dealt with differently an apparent allusion to executions. I WANNA bring in C. N. N. White House correspondent bore Sanchez or as how was this met by staffers. Jake many any were stunned. According to The New York Times some actually even laughed this was a crowd of about fifty people according to the reporting of the UN Ambassador Basseterre Kelly Kraft was also in the room for this at least one of these people was taking notes and that's how we know what the president said listen to this quote specifically the president saying unquote. I want to know who's the person who gave the whistle blower the information because that's close to a spy you know what we used to do. In the old days when we were smart about spies and treason right we used to handle it a little differently than we do now. Jake the president making an apparent suggestion that these people should potentially face the death penalty very noteworthy considering the issues circling this president regarding obstruction of justice in the past and the fact that these officials could potentially become witnesses in the very near future also because the acting head of the deny was testifying at the time that this whistle blower acted lawfully and and did the right thing jake. There's certainly going to be questions about witness. Intimidation based on those remarks Boris. We are also just learning that Corey Lewin douse key the president's his former campaign manager is in conversations with the White House about potentially heading up the impeachment team to defend president trump. That's Rijeka the familiar face returning to center stage potentially of this kind of gives you an idea of the scramble behind the scenes at the White House with people close to the president telling CNN that they wonder if the White House has a plan to respond to this impeachment inquiry according to multiple sources Corey Lewandowski had conversations with White House officials about joining warning some kind of team to respond to this inquiry notably Stephanie Grisham the press secretary told CNN there are no plans to form an impeachment response team low. Lohan Dow ski told CNN that he had not spoken directly to president trump but he didn't totally deny the reporting altogether Jacobs right last resort Lewandowski. He was testifying on Capitol Hill among the things they said was that he doesn't see anything wrong with lying to journalists which is essentially the same thing as lying to the American people yeah. Boris thanks so much much more on our breaking news including cluding if the whistle blower will testify before Congress you're watching a special expanded edition of the
