"These to get along ours and now i know it's his cousin. I know it's not a brother but still kids kids. also they didn't wreck or anything. No observed traffic trying to buy the cookies that triggered an alert on the father's credit card and allowed police to move in police in both new york and new jersey had spent the day trying to track down the pair and though cops followed them with sirens. The boy sped up and would not pull over. I hope his arm out saying go round. Oh this is the next their kids. They don't know to pull over for cops. Christmas parade this baby driver literally. It is at that point. Officers laid also to prevent an accident authorities able to track the cousins using the officers late. Also that they didn't get in an accident while you're just going to let this kid run roughshod so that other people after a couple of hours you're like he's doing fine. Screw this up. Yes wait till he stops. The new smoking in the band noted that they left around nine. Am and drove from the bell parkway onto the verrazano bridge and into staten island before making it to new jersey. According to the daily news this is not an easy drive now. I was about to say. I lived in new for a bit. But i'm i'm not even trying be funny. Dish shit is amazing. I impress would have to take extra day before. I made this. Dr been perpetrating. No when we were kids our grandfather would let us sit on his lap. Because basically you could. Just i mean there was like a middle senior but he would let us sit on and work the steering wheel. Here's also how i know on range rovers. I know because. I have one. They you have to push a button and push a key in and have your foot on the brakes to even start the car that has to be taught. There's no way of your old just learned how to start this. Hey man youtube. I can't hear it was. I think we had him on here but they were talking about how they were teaching their daughter to drive and it was way harder for their daughter. This is what they felt. It made sense to me. They're like it's way harder for her to learn to drive than it was for me. Because when i grew up all you had all you could do in the car would sit there and watch your parents drive right now. These kids have spent their whole life looking at a screen. They've never paid any attention to how i'm driving this. Also it's like kids. Don't wanna learn how to randy. And i were kids in saint louis not in new york. It's different but in saint louis. Not one person we knew ever drove a cab. A road in a cap never wants to time i wrote in a limo was crazy. Wants cab never only ranan cab. Where like the guy. The woman who was divorced to live by the airport. That's it that's the only person ever wrote in a cab anywhere and she used it to go to the liquor store to get her and comeback. Shit we didn't do anything. Dan i promise you. It was the were the observations that you guys were making. I just loved it. That was the perfect example of something that sounds like a parody of wetness. But when you actually start learning about it you go. Oh never because. I remember when i brought it up. I was just like get okay list. Not i know it's white man's world but god damn really the air conditioner and then you start breaking it down. You're like well we. "Went into the guys from subway. No don't let him come to you for anything but like see something. I love my uncle. Mike and my aunt. Mary lou aunt mary lou has a wedding ring. That is like a speck of diamond right. That's the way they got. They got married their reception. Was that vfw had ham sandwiches and to beer. Sounds so been there twenty five years later no. He got her another ring for her other hand. I'm gonna tell you enough to say. It is a sizable different. Okay to and it to me is beautiful which is see both of our hands and the journey of this is where they were where they are and they still have so much more to lose. Don't start out. you're not there yet. Will they ever be there as a proud. This is the person wrote on the reddit thread as a proud where of a four hundred dollar engagement ring. I cannot fat fathom wasting thousands on a piece of jewelry medicine. Men's wedding rings traditionally. Like like i have friends who spent seventy dollars. I have friends who have like the little rubber literally see. Yeah and whenever they lose it they just order another one. My finger bro. I should have got a rubber one because my finger broke playing and then i luckily quickly took it off for this. This swelling and i can't get it back on again. So i get it but mine was about seven hundred dollars but i've had it for sixteen years in lubbock i lost mine and And it was about five hundred dollars. But i lost mine and then one of getting one for ninety bucks that i love. I just love. My ridge was one hundred dollars on my honeymoon Got out of the ocean and realized that it wasn't on mahan and i was like well crap anymore. Right acid two hours later. I went back out into the notion and was in the same place and just reached down and picked up my wedding ocean. But then i've since lost of course took one hundred dollars now. Yeah i keep these rubber ones. You don't even know they're there. This cost three dollars. Hobo for socks. How does a rubber ring on your finger. Just tells other people that want flirt with you. You're a bad person. 'cause you know home wrecker exactly someone else said a ring ring was about five hundred dollars. I was so happy with my ring. It's perfect to be honest with my husband spent anymore. I would have been so annoyed at them. Another commenter even pointed out that the ten percent rule was a marketing ploy invented by the diamond industry. Which is true. According to the not. Which i think is. Also a scientific purpose propagates things. The wedding website wrote that the diamond cartel de beers. He called it a marketing campaign in the nineteen thirties. That convinced men that if they really love their significant others they would spend at least a month of their salary on an engagement ring but the nineteen eighties that amount increased to two months salary and today it is three months salary. Dude is the most irresponsible shit. I've ever to in their right. Mind dude y. Okay let's say you got three months. Why wouldn't you want one month's salary on the ring and for two months salary. Look this is the shape. I look like really since since she returned the ring. The man's partner is reportedly refusing to talk to him. It's over it's over buddy. Cory cory said run. I don think made. That's the greatest three thousand dollar investment. This guy has ever made. He paid three thousand dollars to figure out that he didn't need to waste any more time on this in the future money in a bronx tale where he goes and he was like two hundred dollars and he goes two hundred dollars. You never have to talk same again. Hammer got two hundred dollars to get this guy out of your life forever forever. It makes sense because the the bartender that told me. This was originally from the bronx but he told me one day i was. I was at the comedy catch chattanooga tennessee. I'm sitting here. One of my buddies asked me for money and he goes. We know that she can get her parents to fight for to. I've tried to explain my point of view but they won't listen and are demanding at least a ten percent ring. They're demanding parents are demanding a ring that they'll never wear. This is not like a football like contract negotiation like dry. The team doesn't at the end of the test before you get married. What do you think seventy five thousand dollars a year and she she expected to see i'm gonna stay with eighty thousand okay At the top end if he spent one tenth of his salary it would be around. Fifteen thousand dollars off roles. I went over told closest to it. Man this is hard. The man posted about his dilemma on reddit asshole form asking if he had done the wrong thing by spending only three thousand dollars on the engagement ring for his fiancee in the post. He explained that while he does make a sizable salaries scher. This year has been somewhat challenging. Because he's been financially supporting his parents his sister and his nephew. Oh my god all who had covid nineteen also still supporting his sister who lost her job to make matters worse. "That's just life in rochelle. Ninety eight thousand and nine spring lake weird. So but i was like. Yeah what a great now. Also if she was with a person who wanted to give her a ring and she wanted to have one. I'm not going to get into the argument of what that ring. Should it also for them. But it just i was like yeah. It doesn't well. Glory pointed in asia. The love part and you were like three sentences into the story. No love at all. No right. commitment love sank you partnership being into the same type of sex none of all that good stuff as even come up you know. It's just everybody always says the first year of marriage is hard. I think it'd be a lot easier if you didn't just spend forty five thousand dollars on a wedding and a ring stuff like that doesn't really have to be that difficult. It's just that we. Hey let's go have this. Let's get this expensive ring then. I have to be so protective and have this party for all these people that frankly we're not gonna talk to any more. And that's i've been to more than one great wedding on somebody's farm they did a pig roast and not your truck and it would be a great time and they told people that you don't want beer bring whatever you do want we're gonna have all the food but we're going to have the music. Let's breakdown with this woman is saying she's like someone told me it has to be ten percent will who who drank ring ring you know we'll get into it. Ring companies should be ten percent. So you're basically saying. I'm a person who only listens to what other corporation that trying to go my own goddamn mind about what is important too dumb enough to the point where i'm going to risk losing this relationship. No we say on this goddamn wedding. Okay i think jacob sorry okay. Let's do it jacob. Get back here sean. For god's sakes okay the ring which is made white gold with diamonds and sapphire costs. The man about how much money. Okay corey get to the level where she went. I still want you fuck this ring. White gold diamonds and sapphires. How much diamonds percent of salary right. We have to think about it like this. This is clearly a woman who is very materialistic. Yes clearly a woman who money means a lot to her therefore the fact that she's even dating this guy he's got to have a good job like i'm thinking that he makes at least a hundred k. A year okay. And so she's broken it down to that means that he should spend ten grand on the rain or whatever least i'm saying he spent six grand on it. That's a very good. I like this thinking. I think he jay go ahead. You go. I was gonna say three grand okay granted. He's another thing. i think he makes. Yeah i think he makes eighty thousand a year and he and i think this is. This is how much of a loser i think. She's i think he makes eighty thousand a year. And i think this ring.

"Going on check in. Hey babe she could like. I do the buttercream dream. And he screams but she could tell the difference between that and what i was doing. Okay and i said i just. I'm real upset. I go on the internet and scream and she's like oh okay and i said and honestly it'll probably do pretty good because it's not really that funny and that seems to be how it goes. I disagree. I think it was actually really insightful. Really cool and like. I said for our patriot fans. We're gonna get into the kind of the play by play when you realize. Oh shit this is going viral. We'll talk about that later. But it's super relevant this show. If you haven't seen the the clippers the rant you can go to our twitter and finally go gotta corey thing and find it is just amazing but it is relevant as jay said. Do the show because it deals with stupidity and people not confronting their own stupidity and as we stand on this crazy moment in our country's history this precipice that we staring off into the abyss. I ask you do feel like the world is now at. Its dumbest point that we've ever been at. I think i'm gonna have to go with something. Trae crowder who you've had on this show. Before i think multiple times i used to think that and then he used to this bit. I don't think that people are getting dumber. I think it's just that dumb people have more of a voice now. Yeah you know. We're used to people that dumb people couldn't even read and now they can tweet which is so close which is like like we. Are these the smartest people on. Earth are smarter than they've ever been without a doubt but my dip shit cousin is allowed. He has the same kind of smartphone. I do that has the same apps on it where he can say a bunch of stuff so like i don't know man i. I really believed in trays joke. That like not just the dumb people are loud but those dumb people got so loud that they look what happened and in we've had to deal with for four years so like they're definitely more Mobilized i'll tell you that much. They're they're more organized like crowder. They're proud of ak the proud boys. But the truth is that like. They're more mobilized. We haven't really discussed this much. How dumb has gotten organized and mobilized in a way that we've never seen it and that's what we do on the shows try and depict dumb behavior and trying to understand why we pointed out as this is dumb then. We asked the question. Why did this happen. What was the fight. That happened two days before that led to two people fighting with machetes in a driveway or at burlington coat factory parking lot and so we have stories. Corey sent to us by our awesome fans and then The way to do it. Is you hashtag dumb people town in just tweet at daniel van kirk with a link to the story you are fans. You are outsourcing right. Now that's outsource it all and then you guys bring on into us so let's jump into story core. You wanna jump into one. Yeah i do. And can i ask you question before we do. This may be a question that you constantly get asked. But i feel like i need to ask how. Many percentage wise how many of these are from florida. Many i would say really. Let's put a percentage on it. Dan for real. Because we've never done that kind of like like in the early two thousands when you could bet like tiger the field so like only a third right but two thirds every other state right so it feels like a lot and also you know no other state is even close so it feels like even more to put. It's like if you were to look at it as like the raphael warnock. Run off your like eight candidates in fifteen or seventeen or whatever but in the runoff of the actual election. He still had thirty. Three percent of the votes in the next closest one was like eight percent. So that's kind of where we're at florida. Florida has a large piece of the pie. It's a big. Florida is the big swing and dick of the united states and comment. Cheap america is the florida of the world. I was like yeah. Yeah that's why. That's why i'm so loud about my believes you know. I'm the guy who looks like you know. I'm from georgia. So i'm the south and all these proud boy dudes look like me. Every time they go do something dumb. I have to hurt your balance. Yeah try i've said it i. I said it's so important and it's never been more important to have people like you speak up against it. Because i think that it's gotta come from you. It can come from us but we and we say it all the time but it's got to come from somebody who's there being like. Hey we're all not like this. It actually gives people who are who don't look like that and don't sound like that hope yes gives pure from other places who were like that whole part of the country. I can't let's get into a dumb story right. Thank you corey. I also am exactly what i look and sound like had an so. I am all of those you are. But they're also incredibly thoughtful and incredible. I feel like i sound like that. Yeah you do. You also don't know dan. I'm really good at yelling. Get over here. I'm like the scorpion of midwestern dudes. Here we go. By jeffery allegany. I'll begin i know at. Jj allegheny find your finer g. h. In their woman returns engagement ring. Because it's too cheap. It's great i love doesn't it doesn't say called off the weddings. Call them off. Wouldn't you feel like if someone gave you return it to the guy or the store. What were you gonna say corey. Sorry we controls. I mean. I don't i don't know how much self respect this individual has but like. I'm walking that second. That's a red flag. My friend the headline should be groom calls off wedding after bride returns because woman reveals herself to be awful for that story you wanting off after woman calls ring to cheap. You aren't returning a shrimp scampi dish at red lobster. That wasn't cook. I just wrote a tweet. That is in my drafts where i used to examine woman. After months of dating man reveals herself to be who she is. That's another one of those things about like. That would have never been in this story in the past like. That's that that's the reason that we even know about. That is because of the twenty four hour news. Soccer eighteen hundred. What important person you would have to tell that you century engagement back for for that to actually get in france. I'd have to be like mary. Todd lincoln in order for us to know about it like it had to have been that person but it's just some lady is the worst like how do you think this woman feels around. Do you think she's reading this imprint. Just being like he'll know. I yes i do. Think she's that way was like okay. Now where's ever where my people at because it is one of those things like what about the gesture. So you think the gesture even beyond say didn't have stipulations. As to what type of ring you should put on it of course if you like it if you like it you should have put a ring on not. You shouldn't put ring. That is satisfying my needs. Right now. i assume that..
