"Into that faith more. No more the that's a good sign that really good article in if they can do that which i'm sure they've already started doing that with this traits. I take an encore money to get cimber out a lower cost of. I didn't even know his in their system was at mackinac or whatever. His name is for you down on the ways but I wasn't even aware that gentlemen. So that's saying something that just shows how little I've been able to have the luxury of watching minor league baseball this year. Exactly the ad great deal even touched on the other half of it Because we obviously focused on the bullpen side of things crank bluejays did get corey dickerson. In the straight to g is a guy who probably james remember his time on the tampa bay ratings it probably all the slightly is probably the right word because he always seemed to kill the blue jays First base d. h. Do all that kind of stuff. So kind as a little bit of a logjam. Whenever gets health. Which i believe i read. They're hoping for Shortly eckerson to come back in a walking boot Currently but craig. I don't know about you what i saw that they were getting corey dickerson as My first thought was rowdy till as you are in trouble. I don't know if that's where your mind. Or if you're maybe thinking maybe an outfielder being dangled in one of these traits were reliever but Pick it up and take it from there. As as as your lead into this topic at corey dickerson is a guy. That's generated a thirteen point seven career war. So there's something to that. He's east closer to be in the guy of his career averages than what we've seen for him in a miami marlins uniform so what we've been getting like like i said you unfortunately miami is over the last couple years. Been that place where careers kind of. Go to die right. Used to be. Remember that fred mcgriff. The way blogs his way back in the day careers ended but corey dickerson. Was that guy that got stuck there and in the midst of that this is the i think he. His career needs is being trade. Somebody that can actually drive him as a contender. The catch being the blue jays have a shit ton of our leaders right now. So 'cause you gotta talk is a team. That i i honestly still think. There's a place this system and possibly on this major league ballpark team. So now he gets pushed off into no-man's-land basically play out in buffalo right. But now like you said rowdy televises quote unquote. The left handed bat off the bench. I see where he is a better player than corey dickerson. Corey dickerson's on teams have been close to the playoffs in the playoffs. And so on. And so forth groti till is has been extremely regressed this season it and i don't know because of his delay his approach or what's going on so i don't see how you can take him when you have a major league. Ready guy is a career to eighty two batting average. It's just one of those things..
Home cooking: Mets win Citi opener vs Marlins on bizarre HBP
"The Mets open their home season by scoring twice in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Marlins three to two Jeff McNeil homered to tie the game at two against Anthony bass a couple of hits and an intentional walk loaded the bases when bass on a one to count hit Michael Conforto on the elbow to force in the winning run Miami manager don Mattingly argued that Conforto made no attempt to avoid getting hit and that the pitch was a strike it's just frustrating I think more than anything that the ball strike anyway to call a strike it seems like it was in the strike zone and you get hit it should be a strike it was reviewed and the call stood Brandon Nimmo had three hits for the Mets Corey Dickerson two hits and an RBI for the Marlins who fell to one six might make use of New York

"One call, that's all sports death. Here's great Mattson already down one of their top starting pitchers, the Brewers will face the Dodgers without rookie reliever Devin Williams. Williams left off the 28 Man playoff. Mr Noodles shoulder issue. His 3.33 e R A will be watching tonight is Brent Suter takes the mound for Craig Counsell in Game one Very constables Having him be the guy here, he's pissing well, he's pitched well for us. He's been in big games for us so very, very comfortable with him out there. We're on Plan B, but it's a good plan B is what I would say. As for the late start times, a seven o'clock game, it's actually from my perspective. It's beneficial and guys were staying in a normal. You know, the Openers and White Sox played a noon game today, and that's means nine o'clock batting practice for the home team, which no team does during the season. If there's a noon, no team would be hit, so I'm good with our schedule to standard night game. Both things pretty happy with that Governs begins with a special edition Sports Central Beginning at six o'clock tonight, Network covered begins at 8 30. Brewers and Dodgers one of eight games on the playoff schedule. Today, This game has been crazy John no runs and very few hits, at least for the Braves anyway, but the Reds and Graves are in the 13th inning of a scoreless tie in Atlanta. Astros, meanwhile, lead the Twins to one of the night looks like that's going to go final soon. Houston will advance with the Wind Marlins lead the Cubsthree one in the seventh. So this was a one nothing lead for the Cubs until the seventh inning when Corey Dickerson hit a three run home run off Kyle Hendricks. And then Jesus regular hit a two run shot off his former teammate Jeremy Jeffress. So it's the Marlins leading the Cubs right now by a score of five. Toe one. Ace up five. Nothing over the White Sox blue Jason raise just underway. And the NFL is pumping the brakes on Sundays scheduled game between the Steelers and Titans. Following a covert 19 outbreak. Four players in five Titans staff members confirmed positive thegame likely to be played Monday or Tuesday of next week. Boy, the Brewers of the Bad break. Nobody saw Devon Williams that thing coming either. There were no complaints, no issues he pitched in the last series of the regular season. That is so unfortunate. It was at a conference call with Craig Counsell last night about nine o'clock and It was only brought up in the fact of you know, how are you going to stretch out hater and Williams? Can you get him on multiple day? Aldea maximize their opportunities and counsel. I'm not sure exactly what information he knew at the time. But answer the question. I think in normal fashion, But if you're gonna line up the most important players in the Brewers roster, this Devon Williams is probably the top three and burns in your top five. Yep, You're absolutely right about the guys are going to step up its 3:48 A.m. J, the travel secretary with us live up next, the biggest name talking about the biggest.
Miami Marlins 2020 MLB Ranking
"So I look through the entire National League will start with the bottom. It's going to be the Miami Marlins this year. Marlins a couple of interesting pieces in the lineup to wear their lineup went from That's just horrific to. Oh you know it could kind of hit. I guess I mean you've got Jonathan Vr. They added that amazes aggie Lars well and those two guys both should be over eight hundred s this year. Vr might get over. But there's just no big Bat Corey dickerson's GonNa back clean up clean up in this lineup we've got Corey dickerson. Banning CLEAN UP. It's just not a good look for the Miami Marlins so the lineup is at best. It's a below average lineup and major league baseball but it might sneak into the top twenty in terms of runs scored. Maybe if some of these guys pan out well if they hit more home runs than expected so maybe some of these guys and up in the top twenty and combine that with their puke or the rotation. They're number one as projected. This year is is a man named Caleb Smith who I'll be frank. I had not heard of Caleb Smith much before doing a lot of research on the MARLINS and the reason for that is. He's turning twenty eight. This will only be as fourth season in the big leagues and he has not had any. Ra below four a single year of his career his debut season in eighteen innings pitched seven seventy IRA sixteen games pitched his second year. Four one nine and last year in his first full season of four or five two and I just don't see a twenty eight year old starter. That's been unable to get under a forty hour that took forever to get a major league baseball getting much better than he is now. And that's pretty much the only hope for the Marlins in terms of any sort of competent rotation and then you go to the bullpen. And it's even worse for the Miami Marlins. One guy is projected under a four Yara and it's Brandon Kessler. Who spoke to be there closer. And it's three eight one projection by Roh world. It's not exactly impressive Kessler Guy. That's turning thirty five. Just coming off his best relief season. And let me ask you this. How many guys have had their best relieving season as a relief pitcher between the ages of thirty and thirty five? How many guys have the next year been just as dominant as a relief pitcher? It doesn't happen often. I The reds had a bunch of relievers that would have a great season at age thirty three and then you expect that type of production to replace itself going into the next year it never does. They usually find it one of the tank. Everybody gets a scouting report on them. They're fastball loses. Some speed they suffer some sort of injury throughout the year. So the fact that that's their best reliever a thirty five year old coming off. His best season is another horrific sign for the Miami. Marlins combine all those facts and that is why the Miami marlins according to pagoda are expected to be seventy one in ninety road. World has them at sixty nine hundred ninety three. They're coming off a fifty seven win season in two thousand

At Trade Deadline, the Mets Keep Their Arms and Vow to Contend
"Can you believe that we got to the deadline and the mets turned out to be buyers because they sold nothing. They didn't trade syndergaard. They didn't Trae Zack Wheeler that in trade todd frazier. I guess they traded Jason Vargas yes but still the mets basically were buyers before the deadline. I don't get it Sarah. I don't get it and honestly even though people people were somewhat high on the mets entering this year. I don't think I even would have believed that if you told me that on March first hey we're going to get to the trade deadline. The mets are just GonNa get Marcus Stroman. Okay get rid of Jason Burs like I never I never would have believed that. I was pretty surprised I feel like they had some players that you know teams would've wanted. I think I even saw a rumor or about Luis avalon on twitter last night. I forget who it was saying. That teams are interested. I mean I don't understand necessarily not not doing those things and it's it's. It's just interesting. I mean now they're in this interesting situation with Zack Wheeler where I don't know that they're really even in the position where they would want to pay him the qualifying offer and if they if he does take it and if he doesn't then I'm sure they're not going to be in a position to really negotiate with what he's going to want. So that's an odd one one and I don't know I feel like they're just so many moves out there that can be made and one thing that we saw today is a lot of those kind of August I two thirty thirty first deals sort of happen today because they can't happen you know moving forward with the new way that it has this year like that Corey Dickerson trade to me seemed like a waiver kind of trade trade that we might see on August fifteenth and a previous year and is interesting with the mets didn't even attempt something like that. I mean one name that stuck out to me was John Ryan Murphy who is going going to the braves. I feel like you know he would probably be appreciably better for the mess right now. Then Wilson Ramos or Tomas Nido even if he were in a backup role you know maybe NATO's role and it was interesting to me that they didn't even come through on a on a move like that because if you are kind of claiming to go all in and then I would expect more on that side at the the very least so it's it's really an odd one to make one move and have it be like the big splash got this all going and then that's basically it. I would love to be the agent for Marcus Marcus Stroman right now because you talk about emotional leverage that he has on the mets during the wintertime. If you were to say you know what I'm looking for a contract and try to bully them into doing something because that deal was sort of the centerpiece of their whole summer kind of like Brodie van wagon in did last summer on behalf of Jacob degrom. "And now I think even even if you're not like saves, saves needy, just go put some money on Alexander and Baya's and hope that one of them is given the role. Yeah, exactly. And if we see something on bueller than definitely obviously jump on that, assuming he he wouldn't really be available in any league too, so that that'd be a windfall for somebody else. All right. This is why we are so pessimistic on timetables. Just another example. Aaron judge unsure wen ho swing a bat when it happened. It's three weeks bagging, three weeks and people like they say these these definitive timelines like it's just it is. And the funny thing will not fly. But like the thing about that was the three weeks was when he would swing a bat anyway, that wasn't. It was never even when he was going to come back. That was when he was going to swing. And now we don't even know when he's going to resume swing. These timelines are guesses because his wrist is still fractured and it wasn't supposed to be obviously, and that's why he was going to be able to swing. So they don't know with Aaron judge right now about seventy six without him. There's nothing. There's nothing actually more of an update, but this is this is exactly why were generally pessimistic on timetables, right? Yeah. And this is another one that hurts me. I talked about on here. I got a lot of heat for trade that people felt. I got too much back for when I traded away at India's in Corey Dickerson for Aaron, judge when he was hurt. No, no, when he was and then a week later he gets hurt. So that worked out really well for once again. This is another situation like mccullers the the Yankees are going to be in the playoffs seventy forty two even though they're eight games back which again, that's insane that that Boston is eighty one and thirty five right now. But even though they're eight games back there, a mortal lock for the wildcard at this point. So there's no reason for them to rush him back. They need to make sure he's completely healthy for the play offs. I wouldn't expect him to be actually on the field earlier than like the last week, September. Yes, not great. So you're count on Aaron, judge somebody more buying for their playoff run. In fact, I even saw one in my head to head league for Chris Archer, you know, I remember when the trade I came over, I kind of forgot about Aaron judge's injuries. Like, wait what's going on here..

"They've had more taste up at least as really good behind the plate. Corey Dickerson is filled in a top. The order is a really good leadoff man for them. So they're kind of getting by without Josh Harrison is an office of player. He's been really good defender at second base, which is essentially at this point, all they need from him. You would hope for more out of a guy who is your second highest paid player, especially when he's having into an option year and potentially being trade candidate. But right now they're getting by just fine without. Dickerson, Starling, Martin, Gregory Polanco. These guys would conceivably have decent value Dickerson's had kind of a weird year. The powers gone down, but the strike outs down as well. He's under control for another season beyond this one. And then Martin Lanka would would have pretty good trade value in this market. That's pretty light on decent control wild field help. Again, this is where the run really complicates thing, right? I don't think more taint belong over trade candidates to begin with because the pirates sorta liked to live in this world where there are no windows, which has kind of been disproven here recently with teams like the cubs and Astros done, even with Indians, have done, kind of pushing in what we've seen the brewers this season, but the pirates are always kind of keeping one eye on the present one eye on the future, which is why cost control valuable players like a morte go to a lesser extent or so important to what they do. It's Jameson Tyrone is in no way realistic trade candidate. It's why Felipe Vasquez as much as people want him to be probably isn't a trade candidate unless they. You know the all this Chapman godfather offer that they can't pass up. So I don't see those guys being realistic pieces and certainly not now that they're doing what they are, those are the kind of guys that they have to build around. You know, more tape Longo Felipe, Vasquez James and tie on. So I don't see those guys going anywhere. Dickerson is more interesting because they have Austin meadows and AAA. He came up here and he was really good for a couple of weeks, and he's going to be a little bit more expensive heading into his final orb season. We've seen historically than very willing to trade guys within their last year to control. You may remember they traded Andrew mccutchen, Garrett Cole with a year in two years or meeting other contracts. So those are the guys you expect them to move. It's just a lot harder to make that move when they're in this situation where they need everything to go. Right. And you can't count on in Austin meadows that come up and be Corey Dickerson is you can't count on Kevin Newman and Kevin Kramer and the miners to come up and even do Jordy, Mercer and Josh Harrison have. So it's been a really tough spot this next week is going to be kind of fun to watch unfold. You mentioned tone being. A big cornerstone for their future. He's kicked into gear here of late on the kingdom's pitched. Well, Trevor Williams pitch well of late young rotation. You know, one of the rotations in baseball, not mistaken, and I guess that kind of lead you to the, you know, the sketch moments that that Clint hurdle alluded to, but you know more more good than bad basically? Yeah, I think you saw it earlier this season maybe a couple of weeks ago when things weren't going. Well. They had a league average ERA as a whole, but they were tied for the major league. Lean shutouts that to me just speaks very much of a team that is, you know, high end potential, but also just like a lot of Hillary and it was funny. I think Trevor Williams started five of their eleven shutouts. Any might be the lease acccess starter in the rotation. It just to the potential that they have. And you know, you expected ups and downs with young rotation, young pitching staff as a whole, the bullpens, even younger. So maybe you're seeing them come into their own. That's why I think there is some caution cautious required at this point because maybe. He figuring it out, and that's just what it's going to be the rest of the way. But maybe this is kind of peak in the pizza in valley thing that you go through with the young pitching staff..

Argue, Ronald kunia, leading offer land had his first of the season, Corey Dickerson on Saturday now exactly speed demon, but having a nice couple of weeks here, Sunday, Bryce Harper and might trout join together and Ruth Netto door who's running wild trout has six comma meals twice as many as any other player. Harper is one of the six players tied for second with three. Do you think Harper ever be a big stone base guy? I've used odd because the final ten weeks of the season he's in a contract year. He's going up somewhere else, but it almost doesn't matter how it performs the me. He's going to make three hundred million or whatever it is no matter what he does because he's a proven power hitter. He's still has up side but like fantasy purposes, everything's still twenty bases again. I don't. I mean, even when he stole twenty bases, he was caught double digits. So I just don't think it's something that's focus of his, you know, when you see my trial and you know when he puts his mind to do something, he does it when Harper doesn't seem to be the type of player who's gonna put his mind to do something like that and improve skill in the office. And it just strikes me that's not saying he's not, but I think he's he's more after coast on the talent that's kinda how I gauge personality. So unless he said this season, I'm gonna steal twenty bases. I just don't think he will when he does that. I think part of his game, I falter result. So I don't know, sir, thinking that we're going to want to do that. You have one roster spot, active utility, Corey Dickerson, Rubino door. Oh. Think probably go with Dickerson. I been burned by door so many times in the past it's close. It's definitely close. It's not an invalid comparison. I it might come down to what position that you wanted to put him at. Like you know, if you needed upgrade potentially middle infield, I might go with door instead. It's close, but I I would go Dixon Sigler Monday schedule here. Mostly full slate. There is a game on ESPN. It'll be Patrick Corbin Diamondbacks against Luke Pharrell of the Chicago Cubs. You don't need to Rosser Luke Pharrell ESPN plus.

"We have three of them since our last show trae turner washington and kion brockton back from the minors on friday nights and on sunday corey dickerson pittsburg not likely to do so trainer found out this weekend that hall fire with affiliate has a really good arm and throws really fast and hard i just can't believe it i mean if our just hit a little bit more i mean what a monster overall he weighed throws out runners turned great trainers having fine season people still complain about not being top ten guy way to like eighteen homers and forty five steals sokha planning about traitor please who do a lot worse there's a lot of guys out there going to anything how about brockton though brewers didn't want him on the team this year they had too many outfitters even playing bron regularly and then brockton they had the call him up because injuries to kane and yelich and santana being the moated now brock's playing great again it's probably not gonna last would you even recommend brockton as a pickup for this we week or do you think even last week i don't even think it lasted this weekend to be honest with you to against you know you know it's all flash get to home runs and seila bay and combo meal and all that stuff and anyone over seven or sunday so i'm just east kilbride corey dickerson by the way too terrible june that high batting average went down at one home run and hsun actually didn't it any in the home run on july first had a really bad june and that's kind of corey dickerson nutshell very streaky like that he has six on the season batting two ninety six he'll probably end up with fourteen homers and batting two sixty is that great i don't think so so move on from corey dickerson you probably already did that in june we'll take a look at the schedule here for the next couple of days lots of games on there are games on the schedule so if you're listening you probably aren't before the game actually start but because one one one o'clock game and then there there should be more games but on his pants wow look at this pitching match upside young winners of late rick did he win young didn't he put them in the same sensor shares i'm not not okay with that i have to he's facing him and by the way guy just walked somebody while i was speaking not even pitching today and he's still three the other day baby steps only three really that's what we're doing their baby step father chat would we're making moves come on i'm not saying seller was max sherzer shire's a monster but i'll ask you this aj do have concerns about using a pitcher like sure when he's facing boston or the yankees or the astros i frankly would never sit mexico's even if its course healed but what are your thoughts on this magic washington did not hit this week except for one game in philadelphia where they scored seventeen they didn't hit the rest of the weekend they didn't have any phillies awful relievers i'm a little worried about then murphy looks terrible bryce harper looks awful he's outta my top twenty i think we're actually pretty good gotta use today short schedule so certainly you get that involved here they're not as many options as you might have but you know it ensures her day is gardner day kluber day it is robbie ray day i don't think i have to go with celo here even though agree with you that it's a better match than it might normally be but i'm not fitting any of those guys if i if i have them not a chance it's also a nick kingdom and annabel sanchez dan you might scoff at that but sanchez actually it's really well for lanta i don't know how and king back from the minor leagues where he should never have been in the first place this season he's not an ace boy he's probably a borderline top fifty start if they just leave them alone either of these guys pique your interest they became because he's come back and you know the positive mental fate coming back after a devotion is always a good thing yeah i can see him llagas are all matchup against them so you he might not do more than six three quality start but the sure why not.

"You know that this team after trading away their best player though you know that was the thing it was the same thing happened with tampa bay and they're only twenty and twenty two and we're actually going to talk about them in a moment where they traded the name value but what they got back was pretty good now with the pirates they haven't even gotten the pitching piece to start yet for them that they got back in the coal deal with joe musk grow he hasn't even gotten going yet but colin moran has been a plus bat at third base with a one twenty nine ps plus and then you know they didn't lose that much with mccutchen when you consider corey dickerson first off mccutchen centerfield defense is not as good as martinez so that was a benefit just putting martine center but then dickerson's bat is absolutely better than what they got out of mccutchen last year so far and so yeah ended up but i'm not i'm not blown away that they're doing well i definitely didn't have them winning the division and you know we're far from sentenced stone that is a tough division if anyone thinks the cubs are going to go run away and hide they're not you know they're they're going to be right there and they're in fourth right now so that tells you that divisions at with pittsburgh milwaukee saint louis and the cubs so it's going to be it's going to be a fight they need something from us grove to to stick around i believe but i'm not as blown away that this team has actually been pretty solid and it's been benefiting to watch it they have a pretty decent offense despite not like a ton of superstar power we're quarter of the way through the season at this point.

"Agrees that they've played it an interleague game in pittsburgh is taken one nothing by the pirates over the detroit tigers pittsburgh now fourteen and eleven corey dickerson walks off putting an end to a tense pitcher's duel launching a walk off home run to right field delivering a one nothing victory for the box over the tigers yvonne nova threw eight scoreless innings and struck out five michael fulmer was just as good for the tigers going six scoreless and striking out nine final game came in cincinnati as ronald a kunia junior hit his first career home run likely the first of many in a seven four victory for the braves over the rents reds now five and twenty a kunia also impressed with his speed showing off his five two talents lining go ahead rbi double later on in the game and blazing around the basis in the american league walk off for the new york yankees who continue their mastery over the twins afford three final in the bronx the yankees get a three run walk off shot from gary sanchez to complete the fourgame sweep over the twins who they have owned the last decade and a half in cleveland a five four win for the seattle mariners over the indians kyle seager had a three for four day capping it with a tiebreaking double in the eighth to give the mariners a road victory at progressive field mike levinger was good six innings for ernie's james paxton was better six innings ten strikeouts just two earned runs indians rallied against the mariners bullpen but it was not enough is the mariners come out on top in baltimore the orioles fall to the visiting tampa bay rays who are playing much better baseball as of late after a slow start raise kept up their offensive surge to run home runs from cj krone and wilson ramos their fifth victory in a row with at least eight runs scored that's a club record of course keeping in mind that.

"To how kendrick with that was about it the one run he'll was that home run so the rockies looking pretty good there in colorado and other other games look at the twins and the white sox went out in the minneapolis twins shut out the white sox for nothing and i him performance from barrio that's a good guy that's a good pitcher someone do watch if you're looking for good young pitching talent jose barrios is is really good he's only he's at a two to one area right now is he was able to drop it seven innings no runs three hits eleven strikeouts i mean you go into even against major league lineup the white sox they put they put up some runs the season scored fourteen runs in their opening day game so it's this is not saying nothing but if you're the twins definitely gotta like the fact that you have a young young right either in jose barrios who who throws hard and throws well and just just went seven innings shut out ball last night in minneapolis when over the angels and the angels every cardinals blowing out the reds the indians beat up on the tigers oh here we go yes the pirates and cubs series that's what i wanted to talk about was looking through my notes here kinda get all figured out what the come what's going on with the cubs here they're six and six i mean it's early but you're playing against pirates team but i've preached about earlier but the fact that they're kind of his team that was over the over this off season you were everybody's like oh my gosh they're selling everybody they got rid of coaching they got rid of care coal whether they going to do while i've already said it you still have martinez you still have to lanka we're getting you have these young guys you got corey dickerson i mean i don't know why the raise decided to.

"Advance scouting you but i think you really have to stick with it for longer than most players tend to to have a meaningful change because it's hard to change your batted ball traits especially something like whether you pull the ball or not on the ground most guys do and most guys have very discernible patterns in those areas yeah and you know you bring up anthony rizzo was a guy who's been willing to bunt against the shift in only one player with shifted more or less season than anthony rizzo was at least in terms of how anger ap's keeps track of it mike dacas was in third place for player most shifted and he's a guy who last time he was good what the other way a lot as you wrote about that was his big adjustment so you know teams went right back to shifting i suspect that if you had a guy who could clearly kind of spray the ball around or or down the liner or whatever he would just end up at the shift with the third baseman or shorts up whoever's over their place closer to third base but that's about it because like you said nearly every player in baseball pulls the majority of grand balls and if you don't the majority of grandma's you're generally kind of a slap hitter ichiro or one peer type where it's just not really a threat unless you're corey dickerson who's been like the weirdest player in this respect that i've looked up dickerson i think the only like power hitter i found who actually doesn't poll the majority of his grander don't know how to explain that but otherwise teams are going to expect you to pull it and so they're going to keep on shifting so i would think that at this point teams would be pretty stubborn about that because it's just not proven to be a real skill on the hitters mark it's hard you hit the ball where you hit the ball and that's.

"Just have that wiped out or at least postponed is pretty devastating ethics this is why it remains true that you know people will ask every so often is better to have one superstar player or too yeah good above average players in this is why won isn't really that much better than the other because of course if you have let's call them six win player and two three when players and if you have two three when players will that uh that spreads the the wealth now if you have the six win player than you could say well then it's not so hard to go out and get somebody decent for the other spot and then you can do better but when you concentrate that much talent in one guy this is this is the downside this is nothing nothing new but this is why team players at the upper end of the spectrum don't get by a factor of two or three more money when they're available than players who were half as good this just it's not how it works out because the injury risk israel of course it's more real for a a starting pitcher than it is for a position player and you know mike trout doesn't have the injury risk that britain honeywell does but just last season by truck got injured so there is a downside to having really great players and it's that when the great players get injured unless you're this year's astros you can't really recover from it very well yeah and so we can kind of closed the book on this week in raise transactions there's been a new one to talk that every day but i think the one that was most mystifying two people was designating corey dickerson for assignments which obviously didn't mean they were just getting rid of him it meant that they were exploring ways to get rid of him and get something back which they did so now khury dickerson is a pittsburgh pirates so now that we can sort of appraise this whole sequence of moves in concert heavier at we've talked about the raise really in the last couple episodes but does the completion of the dickerson saga clarify anything what's a little weird for me is that the treated dickerson and his nearly six million dollars for daniel hudson and a prospect and hudson is getting.
