"The giants have a disaster going on at their wide receiver position a few days into training camp they're starting receivers it looks like right now we're Darius Layton and Bennie Fowler after sterling Shepard broke his thumb after Corey Coleman towards ACL is out for the year and golden Tate suspended for four games or so we think coming by the NFL but it is on appeal Joe do you think this suspension for performance enhancing drugs is going to stick or or you are you buying a golden Tate's excuse here which will get into in a second about fertility drugs yeah no I actually buy his excuse Erin he released a statement earlier this morning saying that in in April of this year during the off season he was seeing a specialist for fertility fertility planning and he started treatment was prescribed by the doctor and he found out there was something in this prescription that was against the NFL's policy so in the event go straight to the to the statement I immediately discontinued years I reported the situation to the independent administrator of NFL policy on performance enhancing substances I spoke with my coaches and general manager I did all of this well before a failed test was even confirmed per NFL protocol in initial suspension was imminent but myself the giants organization a confident in the fact look he's got a contingency here he's told people if if what he's saying is true I can't see why they would uphold the suspension because it could be an honest mistake coming from a couple that was looking to have a kid right Sir so rules are rules right Joe and in my and the way the NFL now I have no idea how they approach to discipline on other kinds of issues right and I'm sure there are plenty of people out there looking at wide receivers and saying how is Tyree kill not suspended at all but golden Tate is going to be suspended for four games but I I on their drug rules the NFL usually is pretty firm on their stuff like this is a list of what you can't take it is your body it is your job and your millions of dollars that are on the line and if you put anything in your body whether it's aspirin whether it's a supplement whether it's something that you eat it is your responsibility to manage it and to make sure that nothing on this banned substance list enter your body and if it does and you fail a test you are going to be suspended should there be some gray area there because I think the NFL in the past has looked at this very black and white and said that it's the players responsibility it and ignorance is not a defense when you're getting suspended for beating case well here's the thing air he is taking responsibility once he found out what he was putting in his body he immediately stopped at any let everybody know this is not one of these I got surprised by the results situation which we already had this week with the Tennessee Titans and Taylor the one who took a polygraph any came back clear but again that's a different situation where you've been taking this knowing full well that there that that it could pop up eventually this is him taking the responsibility okay anybody want to that once retiree kill and this situation I mean could you be more disingenuous I'm not saying you're doing this but the people who want to bring up Tyree kill there are other examples about the NFL's random wheel of fortune punishment we'll that they they they they like to use this is not it you're looking in the wrong direction this is an honest mistake I'm gonna take his word for it it's not a Manny Ramirez situation from ten years ago when he was taken horse fertility pills okay this is something that is an honest mistake that most people can

"And then the guy that I all. Think town on seeing the option picked up. Yeah. I agree with you fifteen is Corey Coleman. Who is on the back of the giants roster. If they could save to say he is not going to get his option picked up. Well, he can't. 'cause he was so that's that's already voided. That's not even a thing. Anybody could do anymore. Once you're released him, and and the former Bronco's quarterback a little further down the list yet. Paxton Lynch also on that. So we can cross them out. I think it's safe to say, even if they could they would not be picking up Corey Collins fifty today. Once I get to cut that has been a disappointment sixteen seventeen Taylor decker Keanu Neil two guys who have not necessarily been healthy during this first three years all the time. But I think too good enough players at these teams would pick up their options. Now. Probably I mean as long as Neil comes out of this your health he's been out since week one. So you soon he projects to be back healthy next year. So yeah, I mean, I, you know, unless they find something out about his injury that convinced them that twenty twenty it's not a good bit. But yeah, those are players that the teams are happy with other than that. They help situations that you raised in to the same point about Karl Joseph actually safety price is very low. It's not it doesn't cost much to pick up. You're looking at maybe eight nine million dollar option. So you know, we do not. Yeah. Eighteen Ryan Kelly. A guy was really come on this year for the colts. I don't think he was playing all that well before this year, but I'd really been impressive especially during this streak were Andrew lucked decided not to get sacked anymore. Would imagine that the culture photonic cafes. When pick up Brian Kelly's fifth year option. Yeah. I would think so miss some games last year isn't if the last couple of this year, so obviously the health question Crete's in. But I would think the culture interested in keeping that offensive line together the way it's performed this year. Yep. Shack Lawson at nineteen don't think that one gets picked up in a borderline player. Maybe natural dish. But just did not get drafted by these guys. It's not lived up to the expectations coming on to Clemson. Agreed eight sacks and three years. Just you know, the numbers not going to be huge. But they're gonna wanna use it some other way. Yep. Doron Lee at twenty has improved this year for the jets. But again, I don't know that. I it depends on who is still around. If McCain still around does he pick up during officer? You think he just hasn't played well enough for for even if it's the same sort of brain trust to keep him around for a fifth year. I think he's played fine. But again, it comes to price. Right. If the option eight figures, which it looks like it will be I mean, you worth it for Darren Lee is that I mean is that a place you really want to be in terms of your your cat is spending upwards of ten million on a linebacker. I think that's the question. You know, sometimes we see these things have to pick up the option to keeping the place, and then they'll do a deal, but not number down a little bit Jaguars did with Bortles. So that that can happen. But you know, I that's that's one of watch for sure. Yeah. This is the same team that gave Avery Williamson three years and twenty two and a half million dollars this offseason. So they already invested pretty heavily at inside linebacker Twenty-one is will fuller. I think as a wide receiver run here coming up. We have Josh dachshund at twenty two Liquan treadmill at twenty three I think three guys in three different places, maybe followers, the exception. He's just been incredibly valuable, but just can't stay healthy, and that's a real risk for the fifth year option. That's the problem at the end of this year who was missed seventeen games in three years. I mean difference may. Making player when he's on the field. But the problem the only way the option can burn you is if the guy's hurt and I always hurt. So I think couple of years ago when the bills were deciding on Sammy Watkins, and it was a no for them. And the reason was he had been hurt too much..

"This is the heard line news. Myles Garrett and Corey Coleman. Those were just different choices. Garrett is a very is a very good player. But it's just like your rake analogy your wife sends to stores to get no can eggs, and he come back with a rake. I say, it's great value. It's beautiful rake. It's the best rate available, but we need milk and eggs, and they need a quarterback bags the leaves simultaneously. But it's just it's just not what we need right now. All right. So the NFL's offensive explosion to the first half of the season as brought us some video game numbers. However, some believe this high flying brand of football is reversible and one of those people is Todd Bowles who told the new York Daily News, it'll change back it or recycle it, so probably not in my coaching career that it will recycle itself. It only takes one to have success doing that. It's a copycat leave bleak. So everyone will follow suit eventually in the next ten years. I expect that to go back. You know, he's right. But now what's going to happen? Joy, it won't go back summarily in the league for everybody. But what will happen is? You will get a great running back who is just one of these Adrian. Peterson kind of guys by the way, this could be girly, and he's gonna have he's going to be on the right team. And they're going to win and people are gonna go, you know, the running game. Now, I'm not saying that the league's going to dictate based on rules, right? But his point is and he's Todd Bowles. That's why I say the best coach in the league with a losing record. His point. Is this league is always swung way to foreign one direction and way too far in there. And now we've gotten to the point where like running who needs. It you watch the LA Rams this weekend. You know, what the LA Rams are their power running team. I've never bought into the idea that that running backs are interchangeable, really. Although this this sealers kind of we'll get to that in a second. I mean in general, though, if you have a skill if you have a running game it only expands your offense that makes you offense. Great. You are your dynamic you able to run the ball. And you're able to throw it if you're one dimensional running one dimensional offense and your beatable will so. So to me, the idea that the running game is dead doesn't really make any sense. Anyway, I think, but I think more to what people are going to push back on this as I don't think it's going to swing back as far as people getting sick of offense. No, nor will quarterbacks lose value. But we will by the way the Redskins with Adrian Peterson lead their division. The Rams with Todd Gurley their division the saints with two running backs leave their vision is that this league tends to swing too far either way. And by the way, if the giants got the quarterback situation, right, then we pay more attention to saquon Barkley. But right now, we're hearing him because the quarterbacks you still have to get the quarterback rights job number one. But let me tell you something don't kid yourself. If Big Ben didn't have Connor or levian bell. He would he would be under siege. Yeah. That's that's that's my point. Like, I I don't think that the level of scoring is something that's going to swing back. People are gonna people have already embraced in. This is this is the way to go but having running game support. And and to his point I think people are gonna now possibly overvalue receivers. And then that's when it's gonna become bird. Burn somebody's gonna miss on the on the next great. Yeah. Next Adrian Peterson the next Levy on bell. What David Johnson, whatever have you? And then that's going to swing back that position. I think is what is going to swing. This time for the real deal Brosse by Carl's junior and Hardy's in this week's matchup between Aaron Rodgers. And Tom Brady is the real deal. Everyone's very excited we've been talking about it all week. Although I think the game a little bit of lopsidedness based off of the Packers loss last week. But still an exciting match up. You know who else is excited farve? This is an epic match up. But you know, from fan standpoint, this is what you look forward to seeing. For Magic Johnson..

"The Dave view podcast. I am dam Zuta joined as always by Chris flow, and we're here to break down the Monday night football matchup between the New York Giants and the Atlanta Falcons, Chris, how you feel about watching this team in prime time? Once again, could we do it in not prime time? I don't know. When the giants playing this year and last year I've not looking forward to losing sleep and watching them at the same time. But you know, it is what it is second week in a row. They're in primetime going to be honest. This like Thursday night to Monday night schedule has completely thrown me off this week. I have no idea when I'm supposed to be doing what that is. A weird interval. We get into our routines. We get into the weekly grind, got certain things to do on certain days, and then there's a what, a ten day gap. I mean, that's just weird that everything was rushed to go into Thursday game felt like I had to get everything out in like a two day span. And now I feel like there's just been like a month between. I've written this week, but you go, we're gonna be getting to a game on Monday night. I guess before we get into the actual game, we'll talk about some news that happened. I guess the biggest if we really wanted consider it that I honestly don't know if I do is the giants signed Corey Coleman to the practice squad a former first round pick of the Cleveland Browns on like four teams are ready this year. So Yellen three, three, only three. Okay. So this is the Browns, the bills and the patriots. Okay. So this is his fourth, if if that makes much of a difference, so he's on the practice squad, not even the active roster yet. There was like a lot of commotion about a what Coleman's role in the offense could be, and he's not even really on the team yet. He's a guy that had some potential coming out of college came at bay. Taylor. That was one of those really spread big twelve offenses, and a lot of his numbers were just volume coming at it there. He has not shown a consistent ability to get open or catch, which if you're wide receiver, those two things slightly important, just a bit just a bit. He is an absolutely ridiculous athlete. So he's going to, he's going to get chances. It's a really low low to no risk signing end who knows maybe getting to see Odell Beckham in sterling Shepard practice getting to see how they go about their craft. Maybe it will pay off, which is all you can say about it at this point. Definitely agree. It's a very low risk signing, especially to the practice glide, but don't get your hopes out that this is how to amount. Want to anything I shared on Twitter when this move came out per air yards dot com. I have just a chart of Corey Coleman's catch rate by his depth of target, and it is well below week average at just about every point. It's just a huge graph that that goes by death of target from negative five all the way to fifty. The only parts where he's above average is where it gets to like forty three yards past the line of scrimmage, which is super deep and almost no passes effort happen there. So I think we've already spent too long talking about Corey Coleman. I mean, there's that that's all they're not going to bring anything so we can move on a little bit more consequential news. It appears that everything room and read Ellison are back so wound have Scott Simonsen be the starting tight end, which is a good thing and especially with wide receiver being, you know what it is..

"So for him to be have some type of issue. No, since Josh Gordon didn't come to camp, they haven't talked about him any. So to say that the Browns are in disarray. That wouldn't be fair to what's going on with the with the Browns and every maybe use different words, disarray thing. A part of the team that I thought among ago was potentially going to be their biggest strength. They're receiving core. It now looks like Jarvis Landry and bunch of quite fan. Jarvis Landry is also had some inflammatory comment, but having great, I'm not worried about highlight, but that part of the Browns have been talked about in a long, long time. Okay. Let's not forget. All right. They want one game and the last two frequencies you need talented players to build a chain Jarvis Landry. It's part of a positive change. John Dorsey. General manager is part of a positive change of having a brow. On this show is much is a positive positive chain. So this team is a lot better and they have gotten better at quarterback than anyone in the National Football League in trading for tyrod Taylor and drafting Baker Mayfield that was not a home run. A write. People were still shocked at Baker. Mayfield was the first pick in the draft. He came from a long way down the bottom part at first round to be convinced him to be in that first part. The first pick, I want people to understand when says that wasn't a home run. I think you mean it wasn't considered like a sure thing going into? No, it was when he's not that it wasn't a home run that it won't work out that it was going into the draft. I was a believer in Baker, longtime, right? That's why I wanted to clarify, because you've been, you've been a proponent of Baker Mayfield for as long as anybody. I know I just when you're it wasn't the predicted pick the day, the season that Baker Mayfield was going to go. Number one, they took a risk there. Greeding upgraded quarterback. My only point was going into the year. I'm like, Jarvis's your one, Josh Gordon's your to Corey Coleman. And Callaway will fight for that three four spot. And now this core Coleman's traded just Gordon's MIA Antonio Calloway's in the news for the wrong reasons. Like Jarvis is the one steady thing they have on the team always have question Mark with joss Gordon besides von Miller. No player's been suspended for a year and going on to have successful seasons in have steady performance. You can check NFL for that. Check to guys have been suspended act. You get suspended, watch their career. They don't go up. Typically they go down, take a break coming up, Hayao closest Tiger Woods to winning his fifteenth major. Time person. Listening is what they don't say good at that part of listening Kobi what you don't say here. Stirs this morning and the Browns continue to court Dez Bryant tyrod Taylor said that would be awesome. When asked about the Browns, adding Dez c. c. would be an awesome fit in Cleveland. I think he would be. I think that man, he is hungry thing to why receive and coach. He's got a history of Dillon with dynamic wide receivers at LSU with the giants and OBI, Jay, and now they're with Jarvis. So yes, I think he would be an quarterback after quarterback likes it. Typically, it's, it's It's good. just a matter. So much of tyrod lights that are more Baker likes. It would be because it baker's the quarterback now baker's not going to be quarterback in the we were on the next six weeks. The Browns are committed to tyrod. That's what's important Baker can adjust to him. Bak- can throw the football. I think it'd be great for Dez for sure. And if any, if any offense coordinator is going to also help teach Dez the best way to wide receiver it would be Todd Haley like. So I think for dead's it'd be a great fit for the Browns. I would have some. I've won't have a long heart to heart with him before we know everyone knows baker's the future star. Don't mess with the kid from Oklahoma jets had a brawl in camp over the weekend against Washington..
Risk may not worth the reward with Odell Beckham Jr. in preseason
"Go into Cleveland Browns whiteout Jarvis Landry told Cleveland dot com. He's been lobbying for college teammate and good friend. Odell Beckham junior stating quote, if things like that or able to happen and the team could make it happen. Why not laundry, once. Oh, b. j. in Cleveland. That is one of those things. When you talk into the home, you on the telephone. He just got a new deal and it's like, yeah, when they ask you about planning, Cleveland, tell them, I'll come play what you guys you think. Odeal Beckham junior wants to leave the New York football giants stage go to Cleveland where they were only sixteen last season, not gonna be able to do now. I get it. They don't have the money to do it, but he wants a hundred million dollars at the giants. I'm going to give it to go find some place that will. Yes. Could he this suit, follow Corey Coleman.
Cleveland Browns rookie Antonio Callaway cited for marijuana possession
"Getting a quote is easier than ever. So we're changing it to death taxes and that the Browns are going to Brown and the Sixers are going to stick, sir. Start with Cleveland free now and the news that the Cleveland Browns rookie Antonio Calloway. It's now been cited for marijuana possession pulled over in his car by strong Zillow, high police at Reemstma on Sunday morning. He failed to yield to oncoming traffic and a small amount of marijuana was found under his seat. He was also driving with a suspended license. This Brown's fourth round, pick despite a troubled past at Florida suspended last season for involvement in a credit card. Fraud case also tested positive for marijuana at the NFL combine in February. And this of course happened just hours before the Browns traded receiver, Cory Coleman. A previous draft pick to the bills. Also, Josh Gordon is out. So this would have been useful information to them a few hours earlier than they found out. They may not have made that move with Corey Coleman and either way free dial if you're the Browns, are you the team that thinks it's wise to take a chance on a guy with substance abuse problems that have already reared their had at the combine right? If you can't control yourself enough to not test positive at the combine and you already had issues at Florida, are you adding him to the list of potential draft busts that very recently include Johnny Mandel for the same reason. And jury's still out on Josh Gordon for the same reason. This is why the Browns are gonna are gonna Brown. Always do when when you make this kind of call from a front office perspective, you're hoping that you can catch value and you believe that the structure within your locker room can can bring a kid like this along and and get him not only right on the field, but off of it as well. But when you have this many red flags and warning signs and you still roll the dice and this happens, you have to point at the front office and go, what the heck were you doing? I mean, that's the key here. When you know this much information about a prospect in a prospect that has had this many issues in his past, and this still happens, you deserve all the criticism that's coming your way. You deserve all the people laughing and shaking their heads and going of the Browns because this is the call that you could have avoided, and this is the call you made anyway. Yeah, you're right. And I remember talking about Calloway back on this show during the combine and wondering which team was likely to be willing to take. Chance on a guy who had the history he had and showed up to the combine and was unable to present himself in a way that was that was sufficient to pass the test. I mean, also I didn't even mention yet that he was accused of sexual assault in two thousand fifteen and suspended from school that off season. He was later cleared in a title nine hearing, but the accuser enter attorney boycotted it because there was a Florida booster adjudicating the case. They didn't feel should get a fair shake in rightfully so during the hearing, he said, he was so stoned. He had no interest in having sex with anyone that somebody said as an as his defense for why he couldn't possibly have sexually assaulted her. I mentioned the credit card fraud incident, and you know, this is a chance that the Browns were willing to take on a guy who now could have already blown his spot has potential for a starting job with the Browns..

"Browns, have none from everything I've heard. I wonder why hasn't worked. It just continues to not work like. Like maybe nineteen. We'll see. Man p you. Is very funny. So yeah, Corey Coleman. I feel bad for him. He now has to go live in buffalo and. I mean, he's got no good pick of quarterback. They're just none. I'm not even like that low on buddy from Alabama, Karen, black? Yeah, not even like out think he's great, but some people like those guys shouldn't be in the NFL. That feels bit preposterous to me. You know, that also seemed like people's trees. They should treat Dalton start McCarron. I was like, wow, that that feels way extreme. And again dealt no great shakes, but you know what he is. You have no idea what Macaire new E-e-eh feel like Dalton's good for course season. I might take McCarron in a single game though, just from what he showed. And most of that playoff game, he played in four years ago to did he did he the reason they lost like emptor was go. Listen much like any other saying he would being. I don't want volunteers to come run me down in the streets either, but. Felt like it was a little bit his. To be fair. It was everyone's fault. That I'm fine with that. Even though it was like Macaire like his his dress or not arm strength. I'm just glad it's not windy in buffalo. Gladly played nice indoor fastest field in the NFL's what they call buffalo stadium. Maybe if buffalo has figured out how to like make McCarron and Josh Allen one person. Six and ten. Hey, that's better that I'm ready to project them at right now. They'll they'll fuck it up again. Peterman get paid out there guys got his own merch Manto map there. That was probably the most fun. I've had watching football and many years since moss was playing. That stinker. People get real upset when you say Randy mosses the greatest wide receiver of all time. It's like, the thing is I've never never have heard anyone like if you're so sure that go, what do you need to like? Nobody's like here Jordan's the goat, not prove it. Just like now he's the goat. If you disagree, whatever, or whoever that people have in the top spot with rice, it's you have to look the numbers in the air and the row run. Okay. He's not been Randy moss. Yeah, sure. Wasn't. And people point to the air, like the forty Niners were not has been about throwing the ball around with that. I think the worst point of all, like rainy malls into multiple times, like Randy moss was forty one. He's getting inducted into all the fame j. Rice's forty-one. Catching eight balls against the Seahawks. Okay. Who cares. What does that mean? Say made rice didn't have to keep proving his mosit- net to keep proving his buoyant. Everyone just agreed. He was already fame. Yeah. We, they only do this receiver. Nobody's like image the best because he did this when he was thirty nine with the cardinals and he's all time leader, I'm sure like who's got the all-time quarter. It's either got to be the Payton or for right for like your yard down. Probably. Yeah, I don't think I'm sure the people probably think Peyton are Beverly, we've mostly got off that. Nobody argue as hard as people will for rice. But now right there, yeah, they come in strong with the rice takes as he's fine. He's just not the best p. I saw people go..

"I mean, honestly, the recipe for success to get to the playoffs have an atop running back into top defense. They got that. They also got top receivers. I mean, honestly, the cardinals are the second best team in the NFC west. I get the hi Jimmy Garoppolo, but let's not forget the fact that he threw seven touchdowns five interceptions. Okay. Did win games. I will give him that much. Downplay Jimmy, but as far as the hype around him, it's a little too much. They have their starting running back either going to be a guy who split time with Carlos Hyde last year or a guy who was a backup for most of his time in Minnesota. And even when the starting running back in Minnesota left, they still felt the need to drop the running back to be a starter. I mean, I've learned that like what you see from player over the course of a few years, what he's going to be for the rest of his career. And you know what? Don't tell anyone, but jerick McKinnon his first two seasons were a whole lot better than his last two is. Last two didn't even average over four point four yards a carry. So you take that information as you will forty Niners defense. I think they're on their way to being a top five defense is just they need a little bit more development development and experience. So I'd say, yeah, I feel that the cardinals are the second best team in that division. And I think I'm pretty comfortable putting Seattle as the worst human that division as much as it pains me since Russell Wilson is playing quarterback there. I just do not like the Seattle team. ATL defense scares me offense other than dog Baldwin. What are you really got there. Brandon Marshall, thirty four coming off season ending injury. You're running back is a guy who everyone thinks you reached for in the first round and reshot. Penny could still be a very good running back, but I said, you probably could have got him in the third or fourth round. And the Android, Chris Carson from last there might even beat them out for the starting job. Is that really. Well, for your season, stuff like that's happening. I'm not sure. So it's going to be interesting to see how the NFC west ends up, shake out. But I'm not necessarily to confident the Seahawks. And like I said, I like the cardinals a whole lot better than I do the forty Niners right now. I think Christian kirksey going to be the next best thing. I mean, FitzGerald has literally not taken a step back and we don't really talk about FitzGerald as far as being a top receiver in the NFL. Not in the NFL all time. I'd say he's got the NUP numbers is it may be the fact that he plays an era Zona as why we don't talk about him as much as maybe Terrell Owens or Randy moss. And I might be saying some pretty out there stuff. But. Either way. I think we do need to talk about Larry FitzGerald as far as being a top player. Well, that's all I gotta say that. Shales respect. I mean, the guy has they out of trouble showed up to camp every time. I mean. Pretty much what you want of ever receiver. So like I say about that, we're gonna wrap it up here today we talked hall of fame ceremony. We talked. What else do we talk dot, Corey, calming, getting traded Kelvin, Benjamin comments about the Panthers and Cam and Cam Newton. Third segment, we talked about the receiver problems of the patriots now that they cut Malcolm Mitchell, and then Beckham junior and the giants trying to work a long term extension. And then for the same talked a lot about the NFC west. So thanks for listening to the football podcast. As always I am your host, Jesse top. We'll be back tomorrow. "And if it is true if he's back better faster and stronger and all that in the Vikings are going to be a problem this season. The Vikings are team who. I mean, they're up there with the Rams and eagles as far as the most complete teams in the NFL. You got. Kirk cousins at quarterback. Cook, running back digs Rudolph and feeling as you're receiving receivers, of course, Rudolph being tight end you gotta talk five defense. I mean, it doesn't get any more complete in that plus their coaching staff is one of the best and football. Vikings are going to be a real problem is he's and they're kind of getting overlooked. It's like, yeah, there were a great story last there. Let's move onto. Let's talk about the eagles some more talk about the ramp, some more. How about we keep talking about the forty Niners and trying to prop them like, that's what's going on. All these, all these people overlooking the Vikings when in reality they might just end up being the best team in the NFC. That's not very far fetched at all. I'd say they're right now top three team in the NFC. Schedule. You gotta play the NFC north twice. He had a play. The forty Niners the Rams play in the NFC west and the AFC east. Then you sprinkle and some games against. You got a game against the saints and eagles. Let's see. They're playing at Philly. It's gonna be a tough one there. A lot of these NFC teams, I've noticed all play other all have very difficult schedules. I mean, the forty Niners week one won't be an easy game that's going to be at home. So I expect them the win that one. I mean any time you play Green Bay that won't be easy. Anytime you player division that won't be easy. The AFC east party wins against the jets, dolphins, bills, patriots going to be a tough one. See they playing in New England? Yep. In New England. Let's see their third to ask games when they play Miami, they got the bears week seventeen in Detroit week, sixteen. Eh, go to Seattle. They play at home against the saints, at least like I said, they gotta play there in LA against the Rams in Philly, against the eagles back to back. That's brutal stretch right there. Those two games we even then I guess you could say three games in LA against the Rams in fairly against the eagles and you gotta play. Carl team is going to be pretty decent this season. I don't know. I know it's talking about the cardinals either. Is it because they play Zona? No one really cares about their own. Ah, might be media presences in very strong there. I'd say. I mean. The cardinals. If they were smart, they'd start, Josh Rosen. Right from the start right from the gecko. Why? Because Josh Rosen is the best quarterback on that team. I like Sam. Bradford is a very safe quarterback, but I think Josh Rosen the future. I think he'd be very good throwing to Larry FitzGerald and Christian Kirk. Cardinals team do not be shocked. Okay. Do not be shocked if the cardinals make the playoffs this year. I don't get why you guys keep overlooking them. They went eight. Where Carson Palmer that season missed the majority of it with a broken arm and finished off the season with Blaine gabbert and ju- STAN as their starting quarterbacks. Why do people keep overlooking them? They're going to be better than they were last year. This season. They really are. And I'm not crazy for saying that at all. You added Christian Kirk was very good rec- read TEK say now. You got Larry FitzGerald plane while literally his entire career last season, they went eight and eight without David Johnson who all he did was break his Handri's wrist. He'll be back this season. You have a top five defense..

"Far today, we've talked about the hall of fame ceremonies and the Cleveland Browns trading Korey Coleman over to the bills for a seventh round pick. Yikes. That's all I gotta say. Now we move on and let's talk about Malcolm Mitchell and the patriots. So as we know the patriots. Have a problem at wide receive. The problem at receiver is that they have no wide receivers, not great, right. Obviously not the coach would Matthews they bring on Eric decker. Eric decker is on the back end of his career. That's no doubt. Malcolm Mitchell was drafted in two thousand sixteen. Was available for fourteen games started in six of caught thirty. Two passes for four hundred yards and four touchdowns. Last year didn't play because he was hurt with a knee injury. I'd say that Malcolm Mitchell was probably the best player to never play for the patriots because meaning never play meaning. He missed a bunch of time because of the fact that. I mean the way that the fans and team talked up this guy as if he was going to be some great receiver. Once he got healthy. Never happened. I never got to see them outcome Mitchell. These patriots fans talked about. So now he's a free agent. And. I mean, you gotta figure that. Does Bryant has to be talking to this team right. I mean, there's no way you come into the season comfortable with. Let's see who who, what receivers they actually got on their roster right now who's left there. So let's see ride receivers. They got Braxton burials, Kenny Britt, Eric decker, join almond, Chris, HOGAN, and a bunch of on Cordell Patterson. The bunch of other named guts. Can they really feel comfortable going into the season with those guys as their top receivers figured. I four games, it'll be Kenny Britt, Eric decker Braxton burials, Cordell Patterson. I mean, it's not really great over there. I'd say. And like I said. If I'm the patriots, why not look at desperate? What's the? Why not? It seems that players who have been distractions with other teams have tend to do tended to do well with the patriots tended to keep quiet. Probably the biggest name there. I mean, does it hurt to do it? No, not at all. But of course, I mean, this could be a year where decker just absolutely goes off because, of course, why wouldn't he the patriots? Maybe they really like Braxton Berrios. I mean, Chris, HOGAN, we saw can be December for that team. And what's comes back from his suspension. Maybe they got some there. It's possible. But I don't know this New England team kind of just. I just don't see a mega to super SuperBowl this year. Last two years. Yeah, this difficult to make it into your thirty. Not offense isn't really Lincoln on the receiving end isn't too great. I mean, of course you're going to pend on Tom Brady to make those guys better. Just a point. How often can he do that and what minimum amount of talent with receivers as dated in order to do that. So. We'll see what ends up happening, but Malcolm Mitchell getting cut, not really great for his NFL career. Considering that the patriots you get caught by the patriots. That's not necessarily a great thing. Most players, believe in New England don't tend to do well with their other teams. For the most part. Of course, guys like Chandler Jones of them well, and all that. So he's the exception. It as far as the patriots go. I mean. I don't know there's something about him. I think that's missing right now. So we'll see what ends up happening with them. We also got some other receiver news del Beckham, junior. It was reported by Josina Anderson that the giants offered him. Less than what semi walk ins is getting annually. So they have stalled on a deal. And then Ian rub port reported that. Reported that the giants looking to make owed Obama junior the highest paid receiver in the league. Obviously someone is wrong there and I'm assuming it's Josina Anderson given what I've been hearing and seeing being reported from giants training camp. Because I've been seeing a lot of giants for an office being happy about that. Been happy about the fact that how do you say that he's not holding out. That's the very pleased with. Been seeing reports coming out that they're thinking of him, whereas a leader now coming into it, he's a change player and you're not really going to low ball, a guy like that..

"And I'm kind of curious to see, are they going to try and put Jarvis Landry on the boundary. They're gonna put him on the outside, just like Josh Gordon. Don't do that Cleveland, please. Just don't. I don't understand why NFL coaches insist on playing players out of position, and I think it's mainly eagle driven given that, oh yeah, I could make this guy look a whole lot better at this spot that anyone else wanted reality Bill Belichick is he playing players out of position? No plays them in their roles. Why didn't the patriots have been so good for so long because they don't try to overdo it. Bill Belichick knows how to coach and he knows where to put players in their spots. These other coaches don't bit ridiculous. Jackson might be one of them. They end up sitting in Jarvis Landry on the outside. He do that. I mean. Good luck to you, but that's not really gonna work out Jarvis Landry a slot receiver through and through. So. We'll see what ends up happening there. But like I said, Corey Coleman drafted in the first round. Now getting traded for a seventh round pick. Thanks. But no, thanks Cleveland says, I mean. Court, gotta feel pretty bad about it. We'll see what he could do over in buffalo, so we're going to wrap it up here next up. We will be talking about. Let's see. "Two thousand seventeen plays games with the Panthers goes for thirty two receptions four hundred seventy five yards. Two touchdowns ends up getting traded to buffalo for third and seventh round. Pick play six games. They're sixteen receptions two hundred seventeen yards at a touchdown. Sure what it's Cam Newton spot, right? It's the Panthers fault, right? I mean, I dunno, I get these guys are confident, but sometimes it's irrational confidence, and that's what this is here. Kelvin Benjamin nowhere near as good as what he thinks he is. I'll lease from what he's shown us. And I mean, would you miss a season and near teams? Offense is the best in the league without you. Obviously, you're not as important as you think you are. I mean, they went to the Super Bowl without him, didn't even miss a beat without Kelvin. Benjamin. I mean, I'm not trying to hit on the guy, but I don't think I'm saying anything wrong here Carolina's offense, they'd get better without him miles better. Super Bowl type better. Kelvin. Benjamin really hasn't done anything over his NFL career over his short NFL career so far. I mean. I might just be in here, but I don't think I've said anything wasn't facts. So then we get that. And now the bills team has a receiving corpse with Benjamin Coleman. I mean, do either of these guys strike you as far as being number one receivers on the team. I mean, we could go through, let's go through the NFL teams right now, see where they would be the best receiver on that team, Dallas. They might how receiving corpses pretty bad. I'll give them that Dallas. I think we're going to be the number one receiver. Their New York. No, Philly. No, Washington. I wouldn't even say yeah there. So no. Chicago, Detroit, no Green Bay, no, Minnesota, no, Atlanta, definitely not Carolina. No New Orleans now. Tembe definitely. Not Arizona. Nope. Larry FitzGerald there, Christian Kirk Los Angeles Rams. Nope, San Francisco. It's possible. San Francisco doesn't have a number one receiver. So like adding Coleman or belly, Benjamin wouldn't necessarily make them better. It's just adding to the problem they got. So that doesn't really count. But are the way you get Seattle? No, Miami, Nope. Knowing Lind. New England's terawatt rec- right now they couldn't even walk into be the number one receiver. Their New York? Nope, rob Anderson. I'll take him. The ravens? Nope. Crabtree's their Cincinnati, AJ green, Cleveland, court Coleman. Don't even belong there. He got traded Pittsburgh. Obviously, not. Here's been not Indianapolis. Nope. Jacksonville, I'd say no. Tennessee? No Denver, Nope. Kim city? Nope. Angeles chargers? Nope. And the raiders? No, there's only one team or at least a couple. Just two teams may be writing court. Colman Kelvin. Benjamin can walk in and be the number one receiver. That's a problem in buffalo. I mean, yeah, you gave Josh Allen a couple more guys, the throw to, but is that really going to help him? Probably not buffalo as far as the receivers go. I'd say they're just barely better than doubts. I'd say douses thirty two in the league. Buffalo was thirty one. Then I put San Francisco at thirty. So. I mean, congrats the buffalo, I guess, for adding depth. And I said, this is a good move because like I said, they had no one else there. Buffalo is terrible as far as their offense of weapons. You got Leshan McCoy. And then after that, there's nothing Charles clay, maybe. Even then you kinda grasping for straws. So as far as buffalo goes, I mean, they're not really giving Josh Allen to work with. I don't really think Josh Allen is that great of a quarterback to begin with. But if you want to say the guy said the guy out for success, you don't do it by giving them a bunch of number two receivers, throw, too. I mean, it just doesn't work that way. It's a bit ridiculous, but either way we'll see what ends up happening. And as far as Cleveland goes, I mean, either Dez Bryant's really close to signing or Antonio Qalaway looks that good, and I brought up Calloway a couple of times. I think he's going to be a very good receiver for that team. I think they did well drafted him. And I mean, I wouldn't be surprised at all. He ends up turning out to be a better receiver, core Coleman. And if that's what Cleveland is banking on, I have no problem with it. I think is gonna be very good..

"Was hurt for a loud season. Two only started eight games twenty three receptions, three hundred and five yards. Two touchdowns also had a drop where if he would've caught it Browns, probably would have won a game. But either way the man that they spent a first round pick on. Gets traded to buffalo. For a seventh round pick. They said, you know what? Thanks but no, thanks. We wasted a first round pick on you. It's not gonna work out. And. I mean. Korey Coleman is going to be one of those guys where his coaches don't really put him in a spot to succeed, meaning they're going to try and make them the number one guy with. That's not really gonna work out. And. Komen's got talent. I thought he was gonna do well with the Browns this season. But once I saw that they were looking at Dez Bryant, I figured that you're, they're going to move to the bench or you trait ended up trading him before. Does Bryan even comes that team? We're not even sure if Dez Bryant gonna play for this team. But I mean, you look at it now. He's in buffalo, looking at it from a Bill standpoint, it's a good trait. It's a great trade, actually. Why? Because you have no talent on that. Receiving course. I mean, you got Kelvin Benjamin and Kelvin Benjamin, let's talk about him for a second made some comments, the other day about how he wishes he wasn't drafted by Carolina and how he should've played for different quarterback. All right, Kelvin, Benjamin. Sure. Sure thing buddy. Sure thing. Kelvin. Benjamin, I mean might be a guy who thinks is a whole lot better than he is. And of course we got players like that. The NFL all over Kelvin. Benjamin drafted in two thousand fourteen had seventy three receptions thousand yards. Nine touchdowns Kelvin. Benjamin missed the two thousand fifteen season with injury. Listen to this. With him playing that year. Carolina had probably the best snow did have the best offense in the league that season. Kelvin Benjamin nowhere near that team and they had the best offense. They're often got better without Kelvin. Benjamin. I mean, what does that tell you. Tells you that maybe he's not as for as good as he thinks he is. So then he comes back two thousand and sixteen starts. Thirteen game sixty three receptions, nine hundred forty one yards. Seven touchdowns disappointment appointment there..

"Monday start of the week. I got some thoughts on the hall of fame ceremony, Ray Lewis speech, Randy moss Terrell Owens not being there. So we'll be talking about that for the first segment. Second segment, we got good, Corey Coleman figured was get out of a decent year with the Browns this season. Brown said, we're good. We're going to send you over to buffalo. I mean, imagine. You play in Cleveland where it's not the most glamorous city, but nonetheless, it's Cleveland. And then they said, do the buffalo to buffalo buffalo. I mean, I'd hate the Browns. They set me to buffalo. I mean, what's so good about buffalo just like joking, Noah. What he said about Cleveland, that one time for those that follow the NBA and the in who says, oh, yeah, what on vacation of Cleveland? No one would so great about Cleveland. I mean, I don't think I'll ever be going on vacation of buffalo, but it is what it is. Like I said, that's the word of that's the phrase of the day. It is what it is, I guess. But yeah, quite Coleman's. Now going to be a buffalo Bill got traded for a seventh round pick, you know what a seventh round pick his seventh round pick usually spent on a quarterback that you just need for camp or some guy that I mean, he doesn't really have much of an NFL career, but you did the guy favor. So yeah, basically quite Kalman, not worth much according to the bear Browns. So we'll be talking about that for the second segment. Third segment I'm kinda debating what I wanna talk about patriots, cutting Malcolm Mitchell. I mean. They. They gotta have some, I, I'm thinking, if it does Brian's going to the patriots or. He's going to the patriots, or how do you say. The Browns is going to one of those teams. We'll be talking about that. And then we also got odeal Beckham junior to trying to work on some contract extension Josina Anderson says that they're offering than Sammy walk. Ins in report says they're offering more than when Antonio Brown is getting. So obviously someone's wrong here, and I can't wait to see who it is. And these are the best journalistic battles to report versus reporter when saying this, the other saying that whoever's wrong gonna be getting all kinds of tweets from the trolls at Twitter. I mean, it's great. It's amazing. It's greatness. So. We'll see who's right, but of course, that's what today show is gonna be about. And. I mean, let's start off with. The hall of fame. Ceremony. So we get there will not get there. But I mean, get their meaning. I flip the channel over to ESPN. I didn't get a chance to catch Brian Dawkins or Bryant or lacquers speeches, but I heard they're pretty good. But of course, I mean, let's be real here. Yes, the days about them, but we only care about three people that day. I'd say the majority of fats and even journalists and all that. Okay. So I'm looking forward to Ray Lewis speech and Randy mosses Ray Lewis is because I mean, it's Ray Lewis who knows what the guy's gonna say, Randy moss because ready moss I think was I mean more one of the more. How do you say interesting players of all time? I mean, was supposed to go to Florida state to play college ends up getting in trouble. I think he got arrested, Florida state says, yeah, you can't come play ball here ends up going to Marshall. I mean, was a great receiver. They're probably their best player who ever walked through those doors unless of course you think it was bright Byron left, which or Chad Pennington, boom, how many of you thought you'd be here in those names today? Not many. So he does that. He goes to the Vikings him and Dante colpepper tearing it up and people forget about how good I'll take. Beverly s. I mean..

"We're looking to deal Korey Coleman all through the spring, and there was no question that at some point this summer they were going to trade him. I think it was exacerbated by the fact some of the conversations you had with some of the coaches didn't necessarily go the way that the Browns would have liked. I think that moved up their time line. They moved him maybe a little bit sooner than they wanted got a little bit less than they want it, but I think their return on Corey Coleman speaks to the type of value that he had around the league. They didn't even get Becca seventh-round picking this upcoming years draft. They did in the twenty twenty draft. And I think the. That the value was so low is that they agreed to take on three point, five million dollars of guaranteed salary that was still left in Korey Coleman's deal. He doesn't go there with a great reputation from his days in Cleveland, but the Buffalo Bills are hoping that a restart refreshed, new change of scenery will help him reach some of that potential that made him that first round pick. The other interesting part of this, of course, is that the Browns picked him in the draft in which they had the second overall pick that they traded away to the Philadelphia Eagles. The eagles could go get Carson Wentz and the people that made that deal Harry Roseman Doug Peterson, they get five year matching extensions on the same day that Corey Coleman is traded to buffalo. And the two events are not altogether entirely not unlike. And that's interesting because you looking at the fact that Corey Coleman really this year was trying to prove himself after two injury, build seasons, and not really getting opportunity to do that. I talked to Jarvis Landry last night, and you said it is unfortunate. Matter of fact, I saw the both of them working out at USC. When I was in California and I saw that Corey was trying to put the effort in and that's what Jarvis mentioned last night, you know. But at the same time, you know he, he does feel bad for my. No, he's trying to contact him last night and Corey Coleman. Now we'll have to see how everything works out with this new team if everything gets mood than he shows up..

It looks like it's supposed look. Still does. I'm sorry, kind of stupid. It's not even about the, it's almost like. The what the problem is is that they have to redesign. These costumes in the comics to get the hard core fans. Okay with it. Then when they change it for the movie, it's like, no, it's okay. It's like comics has look. I'm a fan boy to a degree myself, so I get it when you know change things from the source material people get mad. So if you wanna keep the fan boys happy, you change the source material. And then that way when you daft it to film, it's like say it's okay. It's already like this comics saw. Good. No worries. Even though we made the movie into comfortable simultaneously just to change the source material, but still it is different now. And I mean, look, they couldn't make this shit dark like they just could not like you can't have this kid become an adult superhero and be some, oh, super Darkin gritty, shit like it can't be, but it is funny though because the tone of this is rightly lighter than the rest of the DC you and that's good in the surprising direction. But I do find it funny that you know, just think elsewhere, superman is breaking his next. That man is blowing people to fuck up and robbing the stabbing people to death. So you know, hey, he fits right in to the rest of the DC. Just this is the status quo we've set so you know, but Nick, the guy that was just on last episode from nurtured at their pockets as he would say, it's like, well, you know, they have multiple dimensions reality so we can just say, hey, these are all just our own realities..
