"Isn't it very interesting. How the media has not been covering. How an unarmed trump supporter was shot. Dead in the capital now. Maybe that was justified. We do generally take the position to support law enforcement. However this woman ashley. I think her is ashley babbitt or something. We'll get her name ashley. Who was an air force veteran. Who was killed yesterday. I'm not seeing a lot of the same groups that say. Save her name her name. I don't see any of them out there. And so i hope a full investigation gets pulled into there and i want to ask you guys a question. If i'm inc stormed the capital. Do you think that they would be shooting them. I don't know. And i. I don't know if it was justified or not. I'm going to reserve judgment on that. But it seems very very fishy and suspicious based on the video that we played that would justify the discharge a firearm against someone that walks into the capitol building. We don't know if she stormed the barricade. Maybe she was trying to do something with that. I'm not exactly sure. What the reasoning of all this ashley. Babbitt piece And so that is It's a tragedy for people died yesterday And so based on yesterday. And so i want to I want to continue to dive into some of these clips here. Let's go to. Let's go to representative corey bush. Do we have that calling for every republican to be removed from office. Play tape needs a it. What it is is white supremacy. It was white privilege and it was the call. Our president and it was encouraged by our republican colleagues. And that is why. Every single one of specially because they have been the ones trying to steal this election. That's why we are calling for them to be removed should not be seated so that is congresswoman corey bush calling for the removal of all corey. She continues and cut seventy-three. I want to spend this segment Going through the electoral college votes yesterday. The electoral college vote debate was obviously interrupted yesterday but there were some shining stars that i think really stood up courageously and did a phenomenal job. One of those is congressman. Matt gates Congressman matt gates. Had every let's just say excuse. That could have been made but wasn't made to not stand in fights and congressman. Matt gates. I think brought up the best argument. there are four cuts for matt. Gaetz i want to get through each one of them and talk about them so congressman..
Congress inching toward COVID-19 relief package, including stimulus checks
"Months of inaction and facing record shattering covid nineteen cases and deaths in this country. Congress may finally be close to signing a second nine hundred billion dollar coronavirus stimulus package the agreements likely to include additional unemployment assistance of three hundred dollars a week and one time direct cash payments of between six hundred and seven hundred dollars a sharp reduction from first kovic check of twelve hundred dollars. The covid relief checks were put back in the bill after a major push from the progressive wing of the democratic party. A new study reports. That eight million americans have been pushed into poverty since summer. In part due to a lack of federal assistance congress member elect corey bush who'll be representing missouri's first district tweeted quote. Republicans are going to act like the difference between six hundred and twelve. Hundred dollars is no big deal. This is infuriating. I've been on house. I've lived paycheck to paycheck. The difference of six hundred dollars as having hotel room or sleeping in the car. Twelve hundred dollars was already the compromise. She said the stimulus package will not include the democrats desired hundred sixty billion dollars for state and local aid as a compromise for not including the financial liability protections for corporations that republicans have been pushing for for

"They're going to come out of the gate and ask about that one? Well, I mean, I just who has the power like Tricia has the power to cut my Time she wants to turn it off time she wants to do is going to sound like I think that's what it's going to someone who gets to push the button. That's my question. Who gives to decide? I think this works out in favor for the president. In favor of the primate. I, But I think knowing what they know now the but gives the Biden campaign another huge advantage because they know that he can say whatever fake stuff he wants for two minutes. And the president can't interrupt him or challenge him at all. But the president gets to respond after that two minutes, right? I don't know. I don't know who's in charge of that. I don't know who's in charge. What if they decide halfway through the debate? The president is interrupting too much during the time when he's alive when they start clipping his mike again. That's the problem with a debate where you're going toe. Just you might as well have them in soundproof boots. I think Biden falls on his own sword. More of Trump cannot interrupt him, and I think that it is advantageous for the American people to hear that, you know, I think Personally, Biden is a 47 year career politician who can default to almost Cruise control when he's allowed to. He's got his throwaway lines. He's got his same old stuffed tripe. He's been feeding people for 47 years. Just like the town hall the other night. I mean, George Stephanopoulos did, in fact, check him at all. He lied all the way throughout it about his endorsements. He's going to be able to get away with that, because Kristen Welker is not going to ask him hard questions. No. But the town hall the other night was a bumbling mess. And I think when you've got all of the American people's attention, because you had you had a divided on his divine truth. When you have everybody watching and you have them side by side, coherent and not, I think it looks better for the president. But we're going. We're going to find out it is debate Eve. It's happening tomorrow night there. The NBC NBC will be airing of this one with Kristen Welker as as the moderator. Will it be any more fair? I don't know. We will also be airing that debate. We are going. We will carry it live here and then we'll have post debate where you can call in Tony Columbo being here. And I'm sure a lot of us will be involved in that. We just don't know all the details yet, but I'm sure I'll be. It'll be a late night tomorrow. There's no doubt about it. We're gonna get to all that and more for you. Get the governor coming up here at about 8 35 this morning. Corey Bush yesterday, the first congressional district, a candidate for the Democrats, said she wants to defund the Pentagon. Question is what is the Cole Galloway? Think about that She's the Democratic gubernatorial candidate who has endorsed Cory Bush claims to support police claims to support the military. But she supports somebody who wants to defund the Pentagon were going to ask. The governor about that when we get him on here right now, let's get to our guest, please..

"Debuted last week featured a segment. We're both Ruffin and Wilmore looked at photos of people taking things from stores during unrest, they guess, looting or reparations. Right, Andy. This is a true story. Some dude's still ice cube trays from a store on Melrose. Is that looting or reparations? He just all ice ice cube trays? Is that what you think looted as reparations. Wilmore's first episode featured host Larry Wilmore in a chair on a mostly bare stage. Flanked by giant TV monitors. He interviewed guests like Democratic Candidate Corey Bush. And soccer star activist Megan Rapinoe. He compares his new show style to the topical interview shows once hosted by Dick Cavett. It allows me not to compete with what I did on the nightly show. Cause we don't have a big set. I don't have a big cast. There's just no money for that, but I appreciate the fact that it's going to feel a little more intimate than when I did. Wilmore hosted Comedy Central's the Nightly show until it was cancelled in 2016 months before the presidential election during his long career As a TV producer, he's often seemed a step or two ahead of the industry Co. Creating the animated comedy The PJs with Eddie Murphy, creating the single camera comedy The Bernie Mac's Show and Co. Creating HB lt's insecure with disarray. With 11 episodes of Wilmore plan to stretch past the current election. The host is ready to surprise viewers once again with a few opinions they might not expect. I'm not for just getting rid of the police. I felt people going to be hurt the most of the people there need AA lot of police protection in most black neighborhoods, So there's just like this general assumption that everybody agrees with them like men, and I know slow down. Like Larry Wilmore. Amber Ruffin is a TV pioneer. Back in 2014. Wilmore almost hired her to work on the nightly show. But she took a job on late night with Seth Meyers, instead becoming a rare non white woman riding for a network TV late night show. Thatjob came after stints performing theater and improv comedy in her native Omaha, Nebraska. Chicago in Amsterdam, were often being the only black performer made her feel like she couldn't fully be yourself on stage like performing with weights on Now she's another rarity. Ah, black woman hosting her own late night show with the freedom to say what she wants. The weights have finally dropped off. I was toying with the idea of starting my show by saying, Hey, everybody remember often and I've successfully gained the system. I thought maybe that maybe I gotta keep that to myself. I'd say with shows from Ruffin and Wilmore out their system is quite a bit better off America begins. It's time for our documentary of the week with Tom Powers and Rafael and.

"It is the Saturday Morning update. Good to have you with us on Rick Pollard. John Gizzi joins us. Is the White House correspondent, chief political economist. News back dot com And on NEWSMAX TV, John Good morning, so, John they've been working on this for weeks months and still no Corona virus relief deal between the White House, congressional Republicans and congressional Democrats seems to be a stalemate going into the weekend. The president is talking about executive orders. What's the latest on what the administration may do next? The president in his news conference last night, certainly hinted that he was going to employ the executive order A PSE Barack Obama used to say, I've got my pen and I've got my phone. And in this case, the president would first and foremost extend the ban on evictions. He referred to it at his news conference Wednesday is something that was very important. He also could extend some of the relief packages and some of the funding but is, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned at her news conference Thursday night. If he tries to do this, he's going to be immediately the subject of litigation. There are severe legal questions about whether a president can with the stroke of a pen do what here too for was required by an act of Congress. The ban on evictions was contained in the Cara's Act enacted by lawmakers, and now it is run out. Can a president simply sign an executive order? Continue it. Legal scholars would certainly debated. My guess is that they will go back to the table next week. They will try to reach some kind of compromise. Right now. The differences are in the trillions. I never thought I'd see that. But that seems like a long way to try to reach some kind of an agreement. President Trump could say good morning to someone and get sued. I mean, it's just It's not stop when it comes to the litigation he's facing. So Wednesday afternoon at the White House, I saw us the president a question about his relationship with the secretary of defense, Mark Esper. They don't always see eye to eye on things, and there's been a lot of speculation as to how long the secretary might last, but he's lasted this long. But he certainly has. Although good sources tell this reporter that he has discussed resignation, for example, when he came out and was photographed with the president in front of ST John's Episcopal Church as the president brandished a Bible. He later said that that was inappropriate, and he did speak to people within the military that he was close to about resigning. He stayed on the job. In addition, the president and his secretary of defense have clashed about changing off the names of military bases that now bear the names of Confederate generals. Secretary Esper wants to change them. The president does not. This week, and this was the subject of my question. Secretary of Defense Esper said that the tragedy in Beirut, Lebanon, Wass. He understood the result of an accident. Now this differs sharply with presidents interpretation that it was an attack. I asked the president about his difference with his Pentagon chief. And he simply said no one knows. Some say it was an attack. Some say it was an accident. We don't know, And he did not indicate there was any sharp disagreement or even irritation with Secretary of Defense. This reporter has seen people get frustrated. Want to write letters of resignation and then duty keeps him in the job. Most likely, that's going to be the case with the current secretary of defense. So while the secretary of defense stays on the job, Congressman William Lacy Clay of Missouri will not be returning to the Congress in January. What's going on in the primaries this week, John In the biggest upset of the week and one of the biggest upsets of the year, Cory Boy. A nurse. A leader of the Black Lives matter Movement. And someone who proudly brandishes her arrests as if they were Olympic gold medals defeated 20 year congressman Lacy Clay. No, I might add. There's an element of history here before Lacey Clay came to Congress from the first District of Missouri, primarily ST Louis. His father, Bill Clay as that district from 1968 until 2000. He holds a seat in history as the first black congressmen from the show Me state. So in other words, someone comes up from the street. And takes down a family dynasty that held a congressional seat for 52 years. I might add that Corey Bush was someone who has called for the funding of the police. She favors the green new deal, and she favours Medicare for all On most of these position, she doesn't defer it all with Congressman Clay. He's co sponsored the green New Deal and Medicare for all. However, she pointed out that In the age of confrontational politics and taking disagreements to the streets, which is her stock and trade. The congressman is not on the scene at all four years ago this month. Michael Brown was killed in an event that set off riots in Ferguson, Missouri, which is in the first district. Congressman was nowhere to be found, as critics said he was absent without leave on one of the most important and tragic developments. In his district. On the fourth anniversary of the death of Ferguson's Michael Brown voters remembered it and in the Democratic primary, Corey Bush emerged triumphantly. One postscript to this She is almost certain to drawing before far left progressive women known as the squad, and I, for one, have dubbed her already. Missouri's AOC. All right, Tennessee, a different story. Trump endorsed candidate picks up the Republican nod for the Senate race. Tell us about Bill Haggerty. Bill Haggerty is someone who could truly be called a friend of Donald. He was a top fundraiser for President Trump in the 2016 campaign and most importantly, with the access Hollywood tape. Appeared that threatened to derail the Trump campaign. Many trump fundraisers headed for the high grass. Not Bill Haggerty. You kept working for him. And this is something that Donald from never forgot. He made him ambassador to Japan. And when Ambassador Haggerty resigned to come back and explore a Senate race well, the president was endorsing him already. He did face strong primary challenger, Dr Mani Sethi, son of Indian immigrants would become a successful physician. He raised more than $4 million the attack tech gritty as an establishment Republican. Pointed out to dupe in national finance Chairman for Mitt Romney, Certainly no friend of the president. And was a supporter of Jeb Bush. He even noted that Republican Haggerty made $1000 donation to Democrat Al Gore for president 20 years ago. All of this Seemed to just bounce off Bill Haggerty because he had the endorsement of President Trump. You made two conference calls on his behalf to supporters in the volunteer state. In addition, down from junior came in and campaign for Mr Haggerty, That was all he needed. He won by a margin of 52. 38%. I might add. In succeeding the much more moderate Lamar Alexander. He moved Tennessee a little bit to the right done As of the end of the week. Both President Trump and the former vice president Joe Biden, We're looking for a place to accept their respective party's nomination for the presidency. Donald Trump floated. The idea of the White House has caught a lot of flack for it, but it wouldn't be the first time now. Would it as you pointed out in an article? No, not at all. In 1940. Franklin Delano Roosevelt delivered his acceptance speech for a historic third term from the White House is a matter of fact it was on July 16th 1940. The president had to speeches with him, one declining nomination and the other accepting it, he would have declined, he said, if the Democratic convention did not accept His choice for Vice President Henry Wallace. Will the convention went along with him, and the president went into the broadcast room in the White House. This was a studio that he had that looked similar to the Oval Office. And from which he addressed the nation numerous times in his famous fireside chat. Well, he accepted the nomination from that room right in the White House, so Donald Trump would not be the first president to do it. I might add that people brought up the Hatch Act, and President Trump on Wednesday reminded those who cover him. The Hatch Act, which bans government property and activity on the part of many government officials does not apply to the president or vice president. Hatch Act was passed in 1939 and it obviously didn't apply to FDR or the White House. Now, If there is one difference it is that President Trump is hinted at accepting the nomination from the White House lawn with a full blown extravaganza. FDR did it from the place. He made many speeches before the broadcast room. But in any event, Donald Trump wouldn't be the first president to accept nomination from his official residence. "corey bush" Discussed on Work in Progress with Sophia Bush
"Hi Everyone, Sophia Bush here welcomed a work in progress where I talked to people who inspire me about how they got to where they are and where they think they're still going. Today's interview is perhaps one of my favourite conversations. I have ever had with another human. We recorded this late last fall at a live event with the wrap, it was called the women's power summit. Remember live events I missed live events. I got the chance to interview Corey Bush there. We are not related though she does feel like my soul sister. She is a nurse. She is a black lives matter activist who's running for Congress, and she has now ousted Missouri Rep. William lacy clay in the Democratic primary. Klay has represented the state's first congressional district around Saint. Louis, since two thousand one. Corey opened up about how her experience working fifty hours a week and still not making enough to pay her bills made her see how many others were in similar situations. It's crazy to me that a nurse someone who takes care of us can barely afford to live in the city where she resides. In this conversation, we talk about ambition when she realized that she was an activist lessons, she's learned from her community, the differences between what happens when men can women run for office. And so much more. Also fun fact at the time of our conversation in front of a live audience of hundreds of people, Corey was still somehow not verified on twitter, and so we started a tweet storm to demand that she gets verified to demand that a black woman running for office would be given the same blue checkmark that me as a chick on TV was able to get overnight. Good news she's verified now, but it was a very interesting part of our discussion. Of Corey Bush as a woman, I will root for forever enjoy this conversation. Welcome to the stage a live podcast with Sophia and Corey Bush. We are sisters in Seoul and last name. Yes the Bushes Corey I'm so excited to be here with you. "Joe Biden has lost the capacity to speak English today didn't interview and he was asked whether he had done a cognitive tests, Trump says like he won't pass one. And so he's asked Errol Barnett, whether he actually has now in the past, Biden said he has done those tests. Now he's like I haven't so maybe he just doesn't remember it. Because, um, you see enough anyway, he didn't just do that, then went crazy. So this is this is what Joe Biden actually is a very thin skinned dude. If you ask him a tough question about anything, we'll start. Come on, man. Come on, man. That's his go to. I don't like this question at all. And I don't like being asked, he goes to the Cesar Romero joker grin. Then he immediately goes to come on, man. Also, apparently he implies that Errol Barnett, a black reporter for CBS News ought to be drug tested, which is interesting. Here is Joe Biden being a senile old coot. Have you taken a cognitive? No, I haven't taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test? Come on, man. That's like saying you before you got this program. You take a test where you're taking cocaine or not. What do you think I am? I am very willing to let the American public judge my physical mental filled my physical as well as my mental filled fitness. Ah, best part of that is perfectly willing to let the American public judge my physical and mental My physical image. So anyway, Joe, somebody wake him. So that guy, that's your that's your Democratic. Meanwhile, he's trying to figure out who he picks for his VP. And he has come down to basically common Rice and Susan Harris, which neither one of them is good. Kamala Harris is I get a food taster Joe if I were you and Kamala Harris, my VP just just a word to the wise there. Other either that or she plants drugs on him and has him arrested for truancy or something. But I think it's likely to be Susan Rice. He's more comfortable with Susan Rice. She's incredibly radical. But she has basically been ableto hide that by pretending to not be super radical, and by being associated with Barack Obama, who, for some reason, was always treated as a moderate spite fact he never was. She's mostly famous for lying to the American public about Benghazi and then being involved in the unmasking of Michael Flynn Here. She was yesterday on CBS this morning. Basically expect explaining that she'd like to see police departments around the country defund it, but he was in college he funded Just means moving the funding away from the police, which means defunded Here's Susan Rice, non radical. We have a long history of inequality of oppression that endures in this country, and we need the police to be part of the solution. In some instances, they are another communities. They're not. There's no one size fits all approach to on for re imagining the wall of the police, getting them out of things like social work on for Responsible reallocation of resources where that makes sense to invest more in our communities and the health of our citizens, But it doesn't fit a one size fits all approach. You can't just Take money away uniformly and put it somewhere else or or taking away all together. I think we need to look at this community by community and be quite thoughtful about so yeah. In other words, kind of defund the police. Why Biden is restricting his VP picks to these folks is beyond me. I don't understand why people think that he needs to pick a black female VP. Well, why not a blackmail baby wouldn't like Cory Booker second. Why does it need to be a black person at all? Mean, Joe Biden has a significant level of support inside the black community that Hillary Clinton just did not Wyszynski just underscoring his campaign, which leads really, inevitably, to the conclusion that Joe Biden is a tool of his radical left. That is, That is certainly the case. Unfortunately, and the Democratic Party is moving more and more radical last night. Corey Bush, who is a BLM activist who is in favour of boycotting the state of Israel, among other radical policies, defeated William Lacy Clay, who himself is a supporter of Medicare for all It's pretty incredible. So the radical left is on the march. Joe Biden ain't gonna be any sort of obstacle to that. That's for sure. Coming up. We're joined by Dr Deborah. So She has written a new book on.

Tech IPO's were about to make a comeback at long last, and then the government shutdown from American public media. This is marketplace tech demystifying the digital economy. I'm Molly would. It's been a big story that tech companies have been staying private longer. And there are fewer and fewer tech IPO's. It did seem like the drought was lifting at the end of last year. Uber and lift filed for initial public offerings. There were rumors that Airbnb Pinterest and slack might finally pull the trigger this year, but three weeks into two thousand nineteen and the securities and Exchange Commission isn't picking up the phone the SEC, lawyers and accountants who work on PEOs are shut down along with the government. And if this shutdown goes on much longer, the big names might be fine. But it could chill the whole tech IPO resurgence. Let's dig into this and quality assurance the segment where we take a deeper look at big tech story. Cordray Bush is a reporter for the Wall Street Journal. She writes that when it comes to IPO's timing is everything you think of quote, unquote, IPO windows, and do you think of that as a time when the stock market is doing well when there's not many big stock swings. When there's not a lot of political risks. So that's what a lot of people thought this first half of twenty nineteen was going to be a really good time and anything that delays that pushes them back from that could be problematic. How does this affect a company that's smaller than Uber or lift if there's a smaller startup that is hoping for an IPO to really raise a lot of capital. So that's where it's more concerning and everyone we've spoken with points to biotechnology companies is really those that are most at risk right now. Biotech companies burn through cash really fast trials are very expensive. And you need to have a lot of trials before you can go back and forth with the FDA to get your drug approved. So besides the fact that the FDA is under the shutdown partially as well. So they can't even talk with the FDA biotech companies from our conversations are. Are most eager to find either a workaround to be able to try to go public unreas- money, or they're the most desperate for the shutdown to end are there long term consequences to putting IPO's on pas like this. Some of the biggest concerns over the past several years have been that we just don't have as many public companies anymore. And folks that we talked you said as the shutdown continues companies that were planning to go public. It's more impetus to choose these other routes when companies are filed for very long time of its talking to someone who was saying when they're sitting just waiting for an IPO all of their financials are available. If somebody wants to look through SEC filings that could make them ripe for the picking for 'em in a committee them right for the picking for other private financing, the keeps them private longer or maybe something's going to change in their operations in. That period of time, which then they don't feel confident going public. Corey Bush is a reporter for the Wall Street Journal another problem here when the government finally does reopen the SEC will be buried in filings. It could take months to dig out from. And now for some related links. Not like, it's so easy to be a public company though. And on that note, I have some things to say about net flicks it stopped yesterday. After it reported mixed earnings and said, it might make less money in the first quarter of this year. And what's crazy about that is how the entire stock market and Wall Street where rejoicing just a few days earlier when Netflix announced price increases for its monthly subscribers which got me thinking, did it not occur to anyone that the reason Netflix is raising prices is because it needs the money making TV and movies is super expensive, no amount of cheaper cameras or reality TV or YouTube has changed that. And that's basically what Netflix said in its earnings report that the costs of creating higher quality original shows to fight off HBO and Amazon prime and Disney are high and getting higher the company that eventually wins. The streaming wars will be the one with the most cash, which is why it can. Continues to be a mystery that apple is taking this long since it has the most cash. Hey, you know, what apple could buy with its huge stockpile of cash and turn it into a streaming service. For original content. Snap snap is like the company that no one can really even be bothered to write about that much anymore. Even though it seems like every executive who walks through the door. They're immediately pulls a u turn and walked right back out again and snap was valued at thirty one billion dollars. When it went public in two thousand seventeen and now it's down to like eighty billion dollars snap is currently one of the most heavily shorted stocks on Wall Street. You don't want. "I was also a Missouri for Corey Bush who's running to be the first black woman to ever go to congress from the state of Missouri. And she's running Saint thing without corporate money on a platform for working people. And so this woman came to and she's like, okay, I volunteered. I donate. It. I called my Representative. What else do I do? And I said you need to run. And she was like, oh, I don't want it run. And I was like well, you should because what this nation needs right now is for you to run. But if you refuse to run, then you need to run someone else's campaign because what we have right now is we need a bench because when a candidate does step up, it's really hard to find someone to be their campaign manager to be their communications director because that is where the big money comes in the consultants and all this other stuff, and to my knowledge, I had the only female campaign manager in all of New York City, and that wasn't because I went to someone and say, hey, I need a really experience campaign manager, send me your best guy. 'cause it is they will send you a guy. And they'll send you someone not from the Bronx. They'll send you someone not from queens to cost you about one hundred and fifty K. So I was like, you know, what we need to build our own bench. And I was connected to this amazing woman. Who's also happen to be Puerto Rican. And. Yes, save her name's, but he knew and she's in her forties. And she looked at me. This is the power representation. She looked at me and said this girl's gotta shot Hamilton music broke out. Not gonna shut out of all the people in New York City. Everybody else looked at me and said that girl ain't going nowhere. I'm not gonna waste my time. I'm not gonna waste my ready credibility. I'm not gonna spend my social capital. She looked at me. And I'm sure the way that corporate CEOs C, you know, young male, interns and say, I see a little bit of me in that person. And she to her credit decided to put her life into this. Say November you make history you go to DC. How will you specifically challenge? The Trump administration in congress at my heart. I am an organizer. And so first of all I hope in November. It's not just me. But that were even if I have just one, you know, like Barbie. You're going to camp either just have one like we say one personal loan is is an individual. But you get one more person that's working. Two people as organized, and so I hope that going into November. It's not just me. I do see there are glitters of hope on the horizon. And if you're listening to this I need you to look in your backyard and look at who is running for congress in your area because there are people running without corporate pack money. There are people running on platforms of moral courage, which is what they are to me. I don't describe myself as a leftist. I don't believe I'm a leftist. I don't think of myself as a leftist. I don't think our problems are left. And right. I think their top and bottom you mean by class tight class wanna make sure class and degrees of power. And so I believe that there's a lot of bottom of candidates out there, but we need people to wake up and to support them..

Boots on I don't think it's gonna work one thing the reason may not paying Jack stop after Ferguson they came out. And said it was unconstitutional refined and people and then putting them, in jail for not paying the fine, so, I, just boots you're getting in trouble putting them on car do you wanna know something you're half right Jim no one was put. In jail for not paying the fine people were put in, jail because they, failed, to appear in court And that is why. A warrant was sent out for their arrest and there's a big, difference there but you're right after Ferguson, people, decided, man too many people are getting too many tickets and as a result the law was changed so that for minor traffic offenses The most you can really. Get fined two hundred twenty, five dollars, and, not more than that and you can't be. Jailed if you don't, pay it and if you don't show up in court So right now we have the situation where throughout the area people are not showing up in court. For these. Low level offenses they are not renewing their tags or their driver's licenses and the police know this of the police are no longer issuing tickets for this because it's a fool's errand And so the courts nobody's showing up. People aren't renewing their tags police aren't issuing tickets and as I said to you my tickets expired in may My my license plate? That is so I- renewed it but I didn't put the new stickers on I. Just want to see, am I. Ever. Going to get pulled over and I drive around all day long like you do and the, answer is no, now it's what.
