Steelers make it 2 in a row with 19-16 win over Falcons
"The Steelers have their first winning streak of the season following a 1916 decision over the falcons. Can he pick it with 16 of 28 for 196 yards, including a 17 yard TD throat O'Connor Hayward. Matthew Wright nailed four field goals. Three of which went for at least 46 yards. The falcons had a chance to go ahead late in the game, but Cordero Patterson's apparent touchdown was wiped out by a holding call, forcing them to settle for a field goal with 5 27 remaining. The Steelers of 5 and 7, the falcons 5 and 8. I'm Dave ferry.

"It's a smaller vehicle than that, but Volkswagen golf. Yeah, I'll get behind that. I'll ride my skateboard like a cool 80s kid attached to the bumper of that one. Cordoba Patterson's back, two touchdowns for him. Good on him. Yes, random stylistic question. Why is Cordero Patterson your goal line back? Well, he's big, and he's good. So he can do it. Boy, that Tyler LG or The Rookie at a BYU. Feisty, you know? Yeah. Yeah. I like him. So I get what you're saying about it going on. It's like you kind of, you kind of don't want to burn cordial Patterson's touches down there and do the wear and tear thing. I get that. I also maybe have him on a high roller fantasy football team and I was just like, you know, let's get this thing moving. That's sources so many of my complaints hidden source of so much of my frustration. Colts, patriots. Oh man, Sam ellinger getting the first taste of the Belichick defense here. I try not to like overrate that when I'm thinking about these games going in and it's like, you know, Belichick, young quarterback, gonna dominate them. And yeah, that's pretty much what this was. Do you think it's just like Bill Belichick just comes alive in these moments now where he just, it's almost this sort of dark, you know, I want the kids to wake up and Christmas morning and not have any presence and then see the looks on their faces kind of thing that he has with rookie quarterbacks. I don't know. 'cause he really does come alive in these moments, you know? It's just I just think what they do is still relatively unique. And it's just such a, you can never just get a clean read on it. And you want some sort of clarity if you're a young quarterback. You want to know what you're looking at. And I think you never quite know what you're looking at with this defense. So I don't know what I was looking at for this entire game.

"They're banged up, but when it all said and done, I think me sticking with them will be rewarded. The way I'm putting it, they're number ten on my list. Number 9 on my list going up from ten to 9 up one spot. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on this list, Tom Brady is not to be denied. In my estimation, this defense returned to form against an Atlanta team, yeah, a little banged up, no Kyle pets, but they are no slouches, no Cordero Patterson. They still, they almost lost to Atlanta, and I think Atlanta is better than what people think and don't get the credit that they deserve. Tampa Bay is at Pittsburgh this week. And I think this is a get right appearance for Tom Brady and his spot. Where he likes to torment, the opposition I like the Tampa Buccaneers to still be a top ten team their number 9 on my list, dropping two spots I'm not ready to give up on the Green Bay Packers. They dropped from 6 to 8. I'm going with the three and two packers, even though the Vikings who beat them in week one are not on this list. I get it. I know you're all laughing about it. It doesn't make any sense. No, it doesn't make any sense to you, but these are my power rankings. This one is mine, and I still think I still believe in this 12, I still like their running game. I still think that their defense, despite the second half performance in London, is as good as advertised. They have a guy in rashawn Gary, who, if this team was 5 and zero, we'd be talking about them to be talking about him as a defensive player of the year. The packers are 8 on my list, but new to the list above them. Yes, this is why, you know, power rankings are power rankings, and I go with the team that just beat them. Giants make their first appearance on my top ten list. They

"Why did she for one? Overall, for the entire league, besides Cooper Cup. I don't know about that, but maybe eventually stretching it out a little too much there. Maybe if Winston gets to what you think he is. Winston is what I think he is. All right. My wide receiver started the week. I'm going to the Buccaneers again and going with Chris Godwin. He is back healthy now. After another round of two week injury, he had 7 catches for 59 yards in his first game back from that injury. And the falcons are allowing the 6th most fantasy point to wide receivers. So not the best defense there in Atlanta and I think Brady will have a big game and start got one. I'm going to that same game for my sit of the week. I am going to Drake London as my sit. I think Drake London is going to be very good. He's probably has a chance to get up there for offensive rookie of the year this year. But I think Tampa Bay has one of the best secondaries in the league. And at this point, since they don't want to throw him the ball, I think teams are going to start to double or at least have a safety shadow that side of the field. Because they don't want to throw the ball to Kyle Pitts. So at this point, I'm taking away Drake London. If I'm a defense and going from there? Ryan, what's going on with Arthur Smith? You know of him from his tightened days. Is he just he's just like run run run now? It's like all he wants to do. He's a run run run guy. Yeah, I guess when you had Henry, right? Yeah. And now he's like, well, I got guys that are similar to Henry, right? Cordero Patterson and I can't think of what the heck is the other guy's name? Algier? Yeah. Those guys are close to Henry. So run the ball. I mean, they've actually looked pretty good, honestly. Well, that's the problem is they just won now doing that. So you know what he's going to do it again. It's probably not going to work out and I just have to change things up, but I think it could be a rough week for the falcons this week. I think he's trying to do exactly what Anthony just said. Now I'll go double team my receiver on the outside so I can hit pits all day. So we'll see what happens, but I think I don't think he's that smart. I think he literally just wants to run the ball and he's going to run it into a wall this week against the box. We'll see. So start Kyler Ed you. LG? No. Not for me. I don't know. Maybe you guys know I also wouldn't just because I'm not sure if he's going to get the carries, or if he's going to get the carries, they got the other guy. They're like three different running backs, even with Patterson. That have gotten carries. I don't know if he's officially back, but he's eligible to come back this week. Okay. Whatever happened to Allison, is he gone? Niagara Falls. Audrey. Oh yeah. Yes, I think they did cut him in the summer.

"Think it was just a coincidence rich, but also at the same time yesterday, concussion with Will Smith was playing, and it was happened to turn it on. It was just like, wow. It's a different time. And again, there were a lot of dramatizations in that as well. And I've heard and then there are a lot of we're not so much. It's a different era. There are different ways of looking at it from Malik. And there has been a culture change to a degree. I've seen it, but something happened this week that feels off to a lot of fans and then it was confirmed when you saw tua look the way that he did on that turf last night. And it was frightening. Now then, the game. If you bought low on the Bengals as our Monday guests, Chris long, two time Super Bowl champion suggested that you should do when they were zero and two. What you saw last night, that's the team with an offensive line getting better coming out on an opening drive where Joe Mixon is pig piling his way into the end zone and burrow is standing back there, nice clean pocket. That's what you're looking for. And then the rest of the game sacked only once. That's what you're looking for. Maybe a better yards per carry from Mixon, sure, maybe a little bit more. From Jamar chase in the air, maybe sure. It chase was kind of quiet until that last 40 yard catch. But it was a Higgins night last night. The boy day Sunday. I mean, that's what you want to see. You want to see a diverse group of receivers and Hayden Hurst everybody. How about that at the tight end position? And defensively, they got up, obviously they got after the dolphins. So in this marathon, not a sprint, the Bengals are back to 500. They're owing to start. Has been evened out, their next game is against the ravens who are taking on the bills at home this weekend, and as you know, in that Sunday Night game, I am sure NBC will have dialed up that 500 yard game he put on Baltimore, last December. And I'm sure Baltimore feels the taste of that. On the heels of what I'm assuming, the bills are about to dispense. A whopping? I know about that. I know you don't know about that. Let's see, but let's just pause it if you don't mind a bill's victory there. And the ravens are two and two. Let's just say Cleveland goes into Atlanta in Atlanta, even though Cordero Patterson might be out. We don't know about miles Garrett. Let's just chalk this up. Let's just do it. Okay? And even if the Steelers come up with the win at a Christchurch against my jets accuracy. Is it possible you got a four way tie two one two at the end of this weekend and the Bengals are flat in this mix. That's possible. And even if they are to a two and somebody's three and one, let's say that person is Baltimore. Let's say that team is more three in one. They can go ahead and get past them. Next week, by the end of week 5, everything's fine. In the hood of the defending AFC champs. And in terms of the dolphins, that defense can get after. How about Melvin Ingram, what he's been doing so far this year. It seems like the Pittsburgh hostage has become a Miami volunteer, huh? Okay, and he has been volunteering and that defense can get after people. So just stay the course defensively and to a will, it seems come back because he was seen, it was came home from the hospital, I would hope that he sits out the next game. Give him a give him a ten day head clearer for crying out loud. Because teddy Bridgewater can sling it. Teddy H2O is in a position where, okay, these receivers are getting open and he can find them and Raheem most starts beginning to run the ball. The dolphins are just fine. And they should just let to a sit. For my two cents, they take on the jets at the jets next week. Home for Minnesota, then a Sunday Night against Pittsburgh at Detroit at Chicago home for Cleveland Miami could go on a nice little run here. Look at the long term, get marbles back if it is something that can happen. I mean, what if he's out to the by week? Been fine, then teddy Bridgewater is there for, man. He looks pretty good at it. This course, the last pick, he could absolutely. Win football games from that position. Cooper rush is doing it down in Dallas with this offense with those receivers getting clear of their defenders the way that they do. Give two of the time, man. I think it would be inexcusable to not have him sit out the next day. But then again, again, that is the public perception. I need to get some. I want to see this report. I can see this report. And it does not violate whatever privacy would get violated. I need to see how this works. How somebody said Sunday yes and how they're like, we're going to investigate it, but he could still play in the meantime. I think for a lot of people who are horrified watching last night, that is a necessity. What do you think? 8 four four two O four rich number to dial Alaska. George kittle, what he thought watching this last night? Amari Cooper in hour number two, what's more likely an hour number two? You can not tamper with Amari Cooper when he calls TJ. All right. You may not come back to your team. Or at least not this year. I don't know that. And then Joe Manganiello an hour number three, I love that, man. I don't know if he's bringing his hairless chihuahua and that is not a metaphor for anything. Talking about his dog bubbles. Who almost bitch you last year? Not almost a little nip. Well, you shouldn't have gotten in the area. I shouldn't have got him there. That's true. He's got the catch radius. That little dog. Rich, check out Mac Jones news. Let's do that when we come back. Let's do that when we come back. Let's do that. We come back because he's telling people he wants to play and I want to hear what you've got to say. Because that's a big game for this. All right, we'll take a break. We'll hear that news. We'll hear from George kittle. How about them apples? Let's do it. That's next on the rich eisen show.

"The Mike malarkey era and what I really loved about Mike malarkey was it was all the pre snap shifting and motioning. He just wasn't doing it at full speed. But do you remember that? It was like every snap, there was like 20 seconds in the backfield where people were just moving back and forth. Like pre arranged little pieces on the board 'cause they're doing the same things that motion does now, only not at full speed, which was the obvious connection. But I think what that's done is it's allowed him to kind of do some chess piece thinking there. And there was some really cool things that they did with Kyle Pitts in terms of protections. That I had never seen before. So kudos to art Smith on that. I think that was a neat thing. So that's the good thing. The bad thing is that if you can't handle four questions, postgame, after week one, we're going to have a big problem here because that's going to be a long season. Your number one offensive player is now a 32 year old Cordero Patterson. You know, we're going to have, we're going to have some rough spots this year. It's I can't tell if it's less work to do that 'cause it's shtick, right? I mean, he's not really that upset with the questions he's being asked. Is it easier for him to sort of feign anger and frustration and walk off after four questions than actually field an entire session's worth of fairly mundane questions that every coach in the league deals with. But we were talking about this a little bit before the show. He got really upset earlier in the week. I guess technically last week at this point. He was getting some questions about Desmond Ritter and how many snaps will he get in practice and he got really frustrated and it's just like, this is the team that almost traded for deshaun Watson.

"'cause boy, I wanna write about poop on the Internet even more than I already do. Can it be a Richard meal watch, by the way? Do you know what I'm talking about? No. Do you know, well, this is like, all right, I'm gonna try to time my segue here to less than 30 seconds. Odell Beckham kept wearing a reshard meal watch during practice. Do you remember this right when he got to the browns? Oh, vaguely. And Richard meal watches are cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. That was at minimum a $100,000 watch. And so I watched a lot of YouTube videos about Richard meal watches, read a lot about Richard meal watches, and I'm just saying it's really interesting. I don't know if I would spend a $100,000 on it, even if I had a $100,000 to spend on it, but okay. That's an expensive watch. All right, all right. A lot of Formula One guys like Richard meal. So, moving on from watches and poop. I think the deal with this team is they are, they are really bad. The thing that kind of shocks me and we didn't want to deep dive the offensive line too much and we are going to perhaps talk about another team that did not address their offensive lines efficiently. But the falcons have tried to build this offensive line and it's just bad. I didn't even know if the individual parked or that bad. They just didn't play well last year. I wonder if maybe the second year in the system, you get a little bit of a bump here, and then you can get something of a run game going behind Cordero Patterson, of course, and then, I don't know, maybe they over achieve a little bit. You can't really project anyone in this league to be like a two or three win team because there's just not that much separation and you're a couple of bounces away from being a 5 or 6 win team, but man, it is really difficult to find reason for optimism outside of we have Kyle Pitts and we have AG Terrell and eventually we're going to have better players around them. Yeah, the falcons were the poster child kind of for you and I did that story in October of last year. Basically about how every team is running this version of the same offense and the offensive line coach is a really important, but there's only like 7 of them that know how to do it. And so Atlanta was one of those teams that had to just find a guy and kind of work on it backwards, right? And sort of do things in a different way. So we'll see what happens there, right? I think this was always going to take a little bit longer. And some of the pieces were a little disjointed. I think we all knew that Chris lindstrom would be great in this kind of in this kind of an offense. Jake Matthews, to me, when he was drafted in 2014, I liked him a lot more than other people did during, you know, I think he had a really bad PFF season, but I thought he actually played pretty well. That first year, but he's a different kind of tackle.

"Offer. All right, let's go on to the running backs. These guys, I mean, look, James Connor, James Connor, by the way, the greatest freedom sign of all time about four months ago. Back on the free agent market. So I don't know, maybe someone just gives him a big contract at this point, but James Connor, Leonard fournette, Rashad penny, sort of the big power runners. Sony Michelle, you could throw in there. Those guys are all interesting to me. If you want to get the back end of Melvin Gordon at this point, or if you want to Raheem mostert and see if he can stay healthy and maybe recapture that late 2019 magic. But I don't know if any of these guys are necessarily difference makers, but stylistically they fit what teams are looking for at this point. Well, certainly from a power standpoint, but if I'm, you know, I love the fact that Cordero Patterson and James White are on here and I think I'm going to expand on this at some point, but guess what, you know, every team is dropping 7. Guess who's getting the ball more often out of the backfield because you receivers aren't open. You're running back. Guess what you're going to need. You're running back to be able to make plays out of the backfield. Those are the only two guys in this class that I think can do that. And so you're going to need, I mean, it's going to be back to the way it was, right? The three down back is dead again. And you're going to need a power guy to get teams out of that too high shell kind of defense and you're going to need a finesse guy to be able to beat it when you're down a touchdown and 7 minutes left. In the game. And so I think this, I think this class presents kind of a fair sampling of both of those things..

Behind the Bets
"cordero patterson" Discussed on Behind the Bets
"They won 5 games, my big margins. And he's gotten to 29 pass attempts and only one of those 5. It makes sense, right? So what if we just look at the 8 games that were close wins or losses? Well, he's gotten to this mark in 6 of those 8 games. It makes a lot of sense. So this game this week is supposed to be close. It's a pick essentially. So my float between a point or two, but it's going to be a close line. You would expect it to be a competitive game. And the Steelers, by the way, have faced 29 plus pass attempts and ten of 13 games. So everything kind of aligns here with him throwing more than 28 passes. The only risk here is if they get up early and they're protecting a lead throughout that's it because they will run the ball in that scenario. So but again, I think if you consider all the variables, the over is a lot more likely than the under. So that's the way I'm going. Again, this is the Steelers and the Tennessee Titans game. My prop bet here is Deontay form and over 52 and a half rushing yards. The Steelers rushing defense 29th in the NFL. I know, not typical of what we've seen from them, but this is a different year, foreman has 32 carries in his last two games in these averaging 5 yards per carry. So that's my prop bet in that one. Let's take a look at the saints in the box. Like I said, 30 minutes before we started taping this podcast, Sean Payton now has tested positive for COVID. So reports are that he's not going to be on the sideline, which very well could be a big hit for Taysom Hill because he's really been the one who's engineered. This we'll call it an experiment of taste in the hills during quarterback of the saints. But I'm still going to play these bets. I mean, Taysom Hill over 8 and a half brushing attempts. I think that's what you have to do. I think you take a page out of the Josh Allen playbook from last week over 43 and a half rushing yards, Josh Allen, as we know rushed for over a hundred. Also, I'm going Alvin Kamara under 87 and a half rushing and receiving yards. One thing that we do know about the box is that they've got a much better defense than they do pass defense. And last but not least, dance Harris still in that four game suspension. So Smith, a warm body to throw to over under two and a half receptions, I'm going over here. It's a little bit more juice than what I like. It's minus one 60, but those are a few of the profits that I'm going to be playing in this matchup. What do you have? Yeah, so I'm going to go back to the well with one that I liked last week and we lost on. It was Taysom Hill over one and a half passing touchdowns. Plus two ten. So speaking of juice, we're getting some really good stuff here. And we did miss it last week, but he scored two touchdowns again. It happened to be both that were on the ground, but you know you look back at his 6 starts in the NFL. He scored exactly two touchdowns in all of them, three of them, he had two rushing touchdowns, three of them. He had two passing touchdowns. And you know, if you look again, if you look a little closer and this makes perfect sense, the rushing touchdown games where he had two were with his low volume passing games, right? He was under 24 pass attempts in all those games. The passing touchdown games were the high volume games where he had 37 or more pass attempts in all three. Well, at the same time 11 point underdogs in Tampa Bay this week, we would expect them to throw the ball against his Tampa Bay defense at his face 40.7 pass attempts per game. That is highest in the NFL. And the passing touchdown followed. They've allowed tour more and 8 of 13 games. So again, you know, my projections 1.4. So it's a little below the 1.5 line, but we're getting plus two ten. So I'm going to take that all day for Taysom Hill. So I like that one. And I'm also going to go in over yardage prop here without the Camara over 88 and a half scrimmage. Rush plus receiving yards. This one's only minus two ten. It's a very low number for what we've seen this season from Khmer. In fact, you know, we have 5 of these on the books this year, 5 scrimmage R props for him. All of them were above one O four and he went over and four of those 5. So why is it this low? It's the matchup, right? The bucks, we think about is a really good defense against the run, but they haven't really been as dominant as of late. They faced a legal 203 rushes by running backs this season. So they have a lot of the fewest rushing arts running backs, but they've faced a 108 running back targets. It's third most in the NFL, they'll have the 6 most receiving arts to running backs. Their efficiency is around mid pack, 5 packs have already gotten to 89 yards against them and Jonathan Taylor Cordero Patterson, some good backs, right? But also Khalil Herbert, miles gaskin, Devin Singletary, right? You can running backs and get to this number against his Buccaneers defense. So he's averaging over a 109 yards per game this season last week he came back up the injury at 31 touches Anita. So I like the over still here for Alvin Kamara. Interesting. So you're taking the over, I'm taking the younger, maybe a bottle of wine. A little personal bet on that prop bet. I look at the Green Bay Packers Raven's name as we know the ravens, their secondary is just an infirmary. So I think Aaron Rodgers Adams, there are two of my favorite I'm gonna use them in a lot of DFS. I'm gonna stack them in a lot of DFS matchups. So I've got Aaron Rodgers over two and a half touchdowns. And you get that at plus money, plus one 45, Mike, and then also, don't they Adams over 95 and a half receiving yards. These are really very few profits are out on this game and these are two that absolutely caught my eye. I know you have a prop bet in the Giants Dallas Cowboys game you like, right? Yeah. Giant fans aren't gonna roll their eyes at this one, but I'm gonna go Kenny gallaudet over over and over on Kenny gallaudet a 35 and a half for saving yards. I think the line is just too low. It's really that simple. Look, I know he's having a rough season, the giant's offense can't score, but he's still reached 36 receiving yards in 6 of his 9 games this season that he's played in full. There was that one game he got injured. Of course it was coincidentally it was against Dallas earlier this season. That's where they play this week. And last week, I know we only had 15 yards, right? It was a dud without Daniel Jones, but he had a 123 air yards. He had 8 targets. That suggests better days are ahead for sure. He actually has 5 plus targets and 58 plus area yards in three consecutive games. So I know it might be Mike Lynette might be Jake fraud. It could be a complete disaster, but I mean, look, the cowboys have allowed 24 wide receivers to get to 36 yards this season, right? This is not a high bar. And gallaudet with canary is Tony still sidelined is really their number one..

"Atlanta, New Orleans. I said Atlanta with the upset, and why did I say that? Because I said, I'm not a fan of Trevor Simeon. I think I know Atlanta lost Kyle Pitts, but I think they can still win this game. And for a while, I was looking good, it was 24 to 6 Atlanta. It may let New Orleans scored 19 points to take the lead with a minute left 25 24 New Orleans and I thought it was lost at that point, but Matt Ryan, great throw to Cordero Patterson sideline catch and run and a young way coup makes the 29 yarder to walk off and win the game. This was huge for two reasons. Atlanta keeps the playoff hopes alive when it was supposed to be a rebuilding year, traded away Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley left. It's kind of like all hope is lost. But now you're four and four, you have a big tiebreaker game now over saints and falcons are sort of sitting right there. And for the saints this was huge, because if you win this game, you have a first place in the division. You have a tiebreak over of a bucks. You're setting right there in a top four spot, but now you lose this game and the falcons are just one behind you, and now you look at New Orleans, you know, I know they were able to orchestrate a comeback, but I don't know if they have enough fire power at quarterback taste or Taysom Hill and Trevor simian. When they have a tough road ahead, still play the falcons again, play the bucks again. The cowboys of a bills that saints can the saints win games have a lead in defense who's been really good, a sort of sit on leads, or will they be playing from behind because the saints without Jameis Winston are not built to come back and win football games like this consistently..

We won't talk about that game but was a carolina fan today while things But we're going to focus on the falcons and what happened today and Eric and i were talking before the started. I feel like we have to reset some expectations here because the eagles game i think put a sour taste in everyone's mouth for good reason but the buccaneers are considered one of the favorites to go to the super bowl if not v. favorite for the nfc. And that's because of not just the offensive side of the ball defensively. They are stacked as well. They've got a ton of talent. They've got some of the best linebackers league they got some good safety's Obviously defensive front is absolutely ridiculous Yeah it's there has to be some perspective put on this before we get into the specifics of the game. You won't speak to that for just a second. I mean it's as you pointed out like they're loaded top to bottom. Every position has has really good depth. Is i honestly. I can't find a whole or weak point on Yeah you can kinda sorta point at the turnovers and to be honest with you. A could have been a bigger factor for them today because they were turnovers. At the falcons missed dropped pick by monroe in third quarter and or symbol on for net. That they didn't hop on you go back to last week. Game that four turnovers then too. So if if if you're monitoring the books keep an eye on as the season goes along because to me and two games that shows a hey they have a tendency of putting the ball on the ground and giving it to the other team someone alone but back to the game today You know perspective. It's this was. This was a juggernaut. At the falcons. Were were facing. This is not the nineteen nineties. Temporary buccaneers defending super bowl champs. Yeah they have beat a greatest. All time This was not wanna be. He's a game at all. However as we saw the first three quarters couple breaks there was a winnable war. And they were you know after the third quarter or towards the end of the third quarter. I'm sitting here thinking like hey they can win the damn game just the way that it played out you know it was a. I think all of us can agree here. We just want him to compete. And especially these teams especially teams like this and if you do that a couple of breaks here near the tips volume direction and who knows black. S whereas perspective goes like this was. This is not going to be easy game. It wasn't going to be an easy win. They were gonna pull it out and obviously as you can tell about a score so but there was definitely some things taken away from here that they can kind of build on for. Yeah evan what do you think about This i feel like again because it's a division opponent because we've had so much success against the bucks pass we we sort of have this desire to beat them no matter what the two teams look like but And i'm not out here advocate Some people absolutely hate the idea of moral victories. That's not what i'm going for here. But i do feel like the this game has to be put in the proper context. You agree you still like yeah. This one's sucked in doesn't matter who they played. No i think it matters. I think looking at the final score a just got out of hand late. That's where it kind of went downhill. there're for a minute when the falcons dotted You know twenty five to twenty eight flip. I felt good. And i think everybody did if you look at twitter at that exact moment. It's like even if they don't win this game If they keep it this close to me. That's a moral victory Eventually you know getting out of hand where it's a twenty five to forty eight off It's hard to come away feeling positive about any aspect of that but there for a minute like the team was playing good The play calls were good in just spiraled out of control And i think what really triggered that was. Aj terrell leaving the game Noticed a huge difference with him being out but yet it. Just you know those two interceptions Pick sixes were just killer spiraled out of control but there for a minute. It's like hey they could really win this game or at least keep it close enough to walk away feeling good. So yeah exactly all right. So let's recap with the falcons did on offense before we go to. What was the abomination on. The other side ball. Won't you tell us what the falcons did offensively on the dating. Yes oh matt. Ryan threw the ball forty six times thirty. Five of them were caught for exactly three hundred yards two touchdowns three interceptions two two of which were pick sixes is pass rating was eighty Ihnen cordero patterson probably was the bright spot again. He was in week one if you had to take something away. Cordero patterson look good in we two. He had seven carries for eleven yards. Which isn't great. But he scored one of them. But then also they used them in the passing game where he got six targets. He caught five for fifty yards and a touchdown So that that was something to see pits. We saw a little bit of five receptions For seventy three yards. Kevin ridley look good seven reception sixty three yards and a touchdown. I mean the offense definitely improved over. I mean how could you not Again you know from what we saw against the eagles but.

Why don't I eight minutes dollar things in that song, But we lead with Georgia so we'll go there, you know. Uh, eagles right now, on top of the Falcon's bid time with the football, Even it's to go in the fourth quarter Eagles lead 22 to 6 and perhaps you're wondering what the numbers are. Maybe for your fantasy team. Let me help you out with that. Jalen hurts 25 of 33 241 passing yards to passing touchdowns. Miles Sanders leads the way for Philadelphia in terms of Kerry's 15 for 74 yards. Kind of gain well does have a rushing touchdown. Devante Smith has a receiving touchdown and Dallas Goedert has a receiving touchdown as well. On the other side, Mattie Ryan 138 passing yards is pretty good. Cordero Patterson, seven carries For 54 yards. He leads the way in terms of Russian Calvin Ridley 44 yards receiving leads the way for the Falcons again. Eagles on top 22 to 6 It's Game Day on ESPN Radio, the estimate. The ESPN app Shea and Jordan Cornette here with you. I'm going to He's locked and loaded on all these games right now, But I'm going to give him an update that I know he cares a lot about because my husband here is from Cincinnati and wearing a Joe Burrow jersey fight at Bangles. I don't know that he's going to be happy about this. Dalvin cook a one yard rushing TD TD makes it 34. I'm sorry 24 to 21, Cincinnati again. Dalvin Cook. One yard rushing TD makes it 24 to 21 Cincinnati. Unfortunately, Joe Burrow was just sacked on third and five sacked and limping off the field. Limping off on his own, but limping off the field after taking that sack and knowing what happened to that left knee, two tornadoes cl everybody, everybody Holding on and hoping for the best there Now I did walk up the field himself but limped to the bench and took his seat and they went to commercial break. So that is something for everybody to monitor. Even if you're forgetting a Bengals fan, just a fan of football, Joe Burrow. You want to see that guy? Stay out there and play for sure. No doubt about it. Let's go to Indianapolis Seahawks at Colts. All right, D K. Metcalf took a pass from Russell Wilson for 15 yards. Finally, we have a D. K. Metcalf, citing it is 28 to 10 Seattle.

"The board. They could try to double up here. This is like fine dining. And by that, Kevin, I mean, you go out and you ordered appetizer to get the meal started. So how do the bears get this two minute drive started? Do they go run? Do they go screen? Do they go quick path? In the 18 yards on Miller in motion from left to right, they'll go on the run, Go with Montgomery Montgomery, with little opening on the left side, trying to bull over Angeloni, who's down at the 24 yard line. Pick up on the play of six on they stoppage of the clock with 1 42 remaining in this first half net worth is toe. Where that stop. It came from time out New Orleans They use their final time out here to stop it with 1, 42 remaining and a half before a second down and four for Chicago. Never been big on giving the offense time to think about doing something that would damage defensively, especially after a decent play on first down for the Chicago Bears, who now line up with the 2nd and 4th Remember, this is a over. These teams are very good. On both sides of the ball in two minutes will Chicago 11 touchdowns and eight field goals in the last two minutes of half this year, the 19 score's tied with Las Vegas in Tennessee for the most of the National Football League. Now, the Saints defense has allowed only four touchdowns and five field goals in 35 2 minute drives that their defense is faced this year. Second down Market of 23 seconds. 54 bears at 23 Yard by Miller in motion from left to right give once again is to the running back. Montgomery and Montgomery for the 26 yard line. Picks up three leaves a third and two on the Saints out of timeouts cannot stop it again. 32 but the bears. They're sitting there with two timeouts If they pick up the first down here, and they're not in a hurry on this play right here, going back into the hole. There's no It seems like a team that I know what they're doing. They're hibernating isn't helpful. Goodnight, everybody third down to at 26 yards on commit motions from right to left for biscuit in the shotgun, Ryan all the running back y'all gets the carrion always stack up with the 25 yard line. That's a loss of one big push up front, led by David on Yamada on the 64 £300 product of Manitoba in Canada. Drops him down for a loss of one of the 25. But it's fourth down. Now. It's tough When you go in at halftime, you're the offensive coordinator of the running back close to the wide receiver coach. Gotta talk to your group of players and they're going. What did we just do? Way had the ball way had two timeouts. Just under two minutes to play. And yet content to just try to get into the locker room as they'll use the time out. With 14 seconds remaining in the half Bears called time out to stop the clock with punk team's gonna come on on fourth down and to at their own 26 yard line to put this one away, so you gotta snap and they put in the hang time. All that with a fair catch in the Saints may have 54 seconds on the clock. So one snap for Drew Brees. No timeouts. Obviously taking me there comes the punt team, as promised at Oh, Donald Bronson. Back deep is fiance Harris. We've seen his explosiveness as a receiver in this first half when we see it here as a punt returner. I think if you are, Sean paint, you tell Dante here is to let the ball hit the ground and let the half to him. Worked out into O'Donnell pumps it away. Pressure coming. O'Donnell is hit flag is down. Harris Fields it at 28 flag down on the sidelines. He dances out of bounds at the 33 yard lines so paddle Donald was hit. That flag would give the Bears a first down whether it's running into or roughing. It's fourth of two, but there's also a penalty. In the midst of the return, so we'll see what these two flags are with six seconds remaining until the half at a 73 lead for New Orleans here in the Superdome. Where there is an unhappy it official down there with normally means it's somebody stepped out of bounds and didn't try hard enough to get back. Inbounds. Justin Hardy, senior who hit Pat O'Donnell, punter Barkevious Mingo over to chat with Alex Kemp, our referee, who will tell us Results of all these penalty flags there. Two fouls on the play one by each team, unsportsmanlike conduct number 85 from running out of bounds on his own. He actually believes running into the kicker. Defense number 34. Those penalties offset replay fourth down, Believe Cordero Patterson, based on some of the reaction was actually not 85 84. You've got to really try to get back inbounds and meeting that you cannot continue to run down the white stripe like he did. He did get pushed out of bounds. Yes, but he got up. And then he ran about 30 yards on that white truck. He looked really good doing it. Nobody was touching out of work your way back.

"Alex Camp going to tell us exactly what happened. Our referee. Spoiler alert. They've moved the football to the Saints 40 yard line. So now you know, before Alex camp actually tells you it's sort of it's really kind of anti climactic moment. That's about to happen here in this wild card matchup between the Bears and saints, But I promise you, you're gonna hear Alex can't tell us Exactly what he saw under the hood. But it's 28 yard pitch and catch from Travis Key to Alex swims or rather to Javon wins. Looks like it's going to be a completed pass. And here comes our official ruling from Alex Kemp. Eventually. No, we don't. After review. It was a catch. It'll be first down for Chicago, please. We sent the game clocked at 3 53. Chicago is not charged with a time out. I saw two reasons why it should be a catch. He took one step second step, and then the third step. He dragged his foot while inbounds. He went out of bounds. And then he was tackled. He went to the ground. Hold it for a while on the ground and then to North Jenkins puts it out after they had been sprawl on their backs. So to be even the elements before he went out of bounds completed cats because he wasn't born to the ground. Catching David Montgomery out of the wildcat. Hands it off the pitch back, takes the biscuit biscuit airing it out for wins in the end zone. It goes right through his hands. It would have been a touchdown. Montgomery and the Wildcat took the snap gave it to Cordero Patterson, who flipped it back to Travis Key and trip risky through an absolute perfect.

"R. I'm Akari your marketplace and for the Saints and eight play 55 Yard Drive took 4 17 off the clock, capped by the touchdown pass from breeze to Thomas. And the return of Michael Thomas presents him with his first touchdown in over 380 days as the Saints take seven. Nothing lead and Mitchell travesty after the kickoff return by Cordero Patterson. 20 Yard line comes out at the 20 on the Bears have a first down and 10. I've got some explaining to do, Okay? You have to hear it. Put him in the wrong policies from assumption. Okay, give him three inches in height. He's only 56 not 58. He's played a great first half first quarter. First down and 10 from the 20 years moving from are left to our right motion from winds from right to left. So this key under center play action. Swings. It left side short toss, Pull, commit up the left sideline, tiptoeing his way across the 25 out of bounds at 29 Yard Line, nine yard pick up on the quick toss from Travis Key to commit, and it's second down, and that was the core of the Chicago Bears. Often deceptive motion start the run in one direction. Used Robiskie and his legs to move in the other direction to outflank the defense. And really giving your quarterback at that point a run pass option, But it does cut down how much field you're allowed to throw into partner in motion. On second one. Montgomery starts left, cuts it back to the right, then dives forward to the 32 on the left cash to get the first down for the Bears on a nice job by New Orleans and not over pursuing because that run That back is starting out of the inside bottom cheek of the tight end who's right outside the left tackle and this end up running. Over near where the right guard was so you don't want to over. Pursue it. You want to stand your lanes and shut down the road. Ramel going motion from left to right, Having had his cheek reference the moment ago, biscuit up the right sideline looking for wins, drops it in the bucket on the right sideline and Jovon whims with the catch at the Saints, 40 and out of thousands Beautiful toss from trip biscuit toe whims makes the catch. Now they're gonna wave it often say incomplete gin or it is feeding and gets his hand in there, And I think he lodges the ball out. One swims hits the ground. If I met Maggie, I'm throwing the challenge flag on the other side because my receiver was sliding on his back for about a second and a half. And then the ball was punched out. Once he was on the ground would have been a 28 yard pitching catch. Matt Matt. He has the challenge flag in his hands. And has now dropped said Challenge flag on the field. Please. Always interesting to see the usage of the challenge Flag, not a toss out. This was a drop at the feet. One of the officials and they're going to challenge the ruling of an incomplete pass to wailing on the field is an incomplete pass. Chicago has challenged that ruler.
