"I think the first day of that will be tuesday so yeah. i think it's a good disclaimer. I know everybody probably needs that disclaimer. I wrote that training camp heroes piece about a week ago before the started looking back at some of those guys that i was convinced her. You know everybody watching this was probably convince was going to make the team and make an impact You know it's good not to get too attached but it's also a good sign that they have guys who are legitimately impressive even the early on And i think roland it's going to be really interesting to see if you can forces way into that punt return competition Because i really have every williams written in there in very strong pencil right now so We'll see what happens yet today. You an update on that same. Three guys is yesterday. We're back returning kicks. And punts i think they basically know that coral patterson's going to kick returner so he's not really getting involved in a lot of specialty stuff in terms of like being back there to return stuff. They basically know what they have in. Patterson he doesn't need the reps But it was aver williams as dave mentioned who i think probably should be the favorite because this new coaching staff brought him in. He's their draft pick And i think it's probably easier to to say you're going to keep six corner versus six wide receiver with this offense but now you know whoever's whoever was the return think is going to be that roster spot. It's a six receiver or corner. But i agree with dave. I think avery williams arguably the most impressive college career as a to get like nine return touchdowns over three seasons or something absurd like that he had last year. Yeah so you know. Obviously everybody was very talented. Had some good returns in practice Chris roland obviously is a factor. There he was getting a lot of reps as well and then starting. On saturday austin trammell was also involved in had some good reps as well so that competition will be fierce And it looks like you know. Maybe i don't know if I know tori mcilhenny. Didn't mention tremolos being involved in the competition on thursday or friday so it seems like they added him on saturday so he must have done something that impressed them enough to insert him into that competition. Yeah and i think it's it'll be interesting to see too. You know thinking away ahead here. They're going to construct their practice squad. Are they going to keep two guys who are receivers with return potential. Probably not so. It's going to be. That feels like a battle right there. That's worth watching to traverses role and especially because the the coaching staff. That picked up. Roland isn't here anymore. Right yeah and they're they're somewhat similar players. You know. I think trammell obviously at rice you know. He played a little bit of a higher level competition than crystal in tennessee state But they're they're similar build I think tremolos a little bit more size Trammell has just amazing sort of elusiveness. Like it's kind of ridiculous And his explosives excellent whereas his long speed isn't great. But i think you know roland has better long speed Also also could explosive. Just not quite as elite with his footwork. Someone like trammell but You know it really depends on what sort of what the team is looking for. And you know avery. Williams is definitely in that conversation too. So that's that's another fierce battle and it's nice to have the competition towards not just a sure thing and it's also nice that it looks like they're gonna give it to a good punt returner instead of you know. Sorry brain powell and your brother if you're watching still but You know brandon. Powell had no business being the punt returner so i think it's one of those things. Where like he he did. Some good things In that role. But i do. Think that the falcons over the years have repeatedly said you know. We are not going to invest in this. You know even kick return really but like we're not going to think hard about putting some money. Some draft picks toward this and they sort of got the results that they deserve from that over the years. So yeah it'll be really nice to see patterson returning kicks. Obviously he's a legend but any of those guys williams Trammell or roland seem like it could be a great punt returner so yeah. Yeah absolutely Quick interlude here for a question from dan. The man He said he's asking about jv. And hawkins yes. so hawkins. Yesterday was very impressive. had touchdown eleven on eleven. Where he just kind of dusted everyone. It was very impressive quieter day. Today he was working mostly with the second t- So i just wasn't really paying much attention to the second team other than just kind of seeing. It was over there to be honest with. You can't remark on how well he looked there. But i know he. He and kayla patently were kind of splitting with the second team and I saw huntley get some carries when he looks good. You know he's definitely more of a bigger physical back. I think there's a lot more competition for that role which hurts his chances but You know. I think hawkins has been impressive. And that's definitely someone to watch and with the team. Getting rid of tony brooks james It seems like his path to the roster is pretty clear at this point so as kind of the only sort of elusive speed back on on team so Definitely interesting there All right let's see so moving on i did. I know people were asking a ton of questions about the offensive line and the defensive line and like to be totally honest with you guys. They seem to be. I don't know if they're like actually hiding those two units from from the me and from fans because both days i've been there and how they have been just stuck in the back right corner Behind several groups of eleven on eleven and people standing around and it's almost impossible to see anything going on over there And it may just be that for these public practices they wanna put the exciting quote unquote stuff front and center Which which makes sense from that angle but Yeah i. I haven't seen much but i can't tell you from eleven eleven is that matt. Hennessy looks pretty good. He he looks. You know very quick very very confident at center. He's definitely getting almost all if not all of the first team. Reps there And he was climbing the second level and in hitting poles. And doing some good things out there so obviously not full-contact at this point but Hennessy is someone who who is impressing early. Seems to be more. Maybe more of the favorite the heavy favorite for starting center. Then maybe we were anticipating. But what are your thoughts on on hennessy. At this point in camp do yeah. I think you know a first of all. Thank you for the observations. Because i would not know how he was doing. Otherwise that's great here And i think you know. I did expect tennessee to win this job. I liked allman a lot. I was interested to see. I believe you tweeted earlier today. Kevin that dahlman was getting some second team reps. A guard Yup been so that that was kind of one of my big questions heading into it is like i know a lot of folks felt that you know his best fit at center but whether they would try him guard especially with mayfield getting some time at right tackle right now..

"Jd mckissic you mentioned the gibson in your News segment not expected to play pretty much Not in good form. Forty five hundred bucks for jd. Because this week san francisco. Which i think they'll probably use more as running game as far as more check. Downs for him He had ten targets last week. That's pretty good. Brennan hundred bucks against san francisco forty nine hundred author. I mostly about that Obviously gibson plays these still like that. I get some place 'cause they actually put the mountains on the field at the same time so you know they run the same. They run around together Mckissic is more of a pr back into gibson but with gibson that plan they might give them more russia's as well all right we'll see about mckissic to share how i feel about him but thing with him. He's a big game plan. Guy you see elks withdraw back forty fifty times to throw because it will produce aspect that game to be a. It'd be a good game. I think both teams have similar offensive style. Whether tried to move the ball in different ways taizhou misdirections and things of that nature. So i don't. I don't expect them to do at twenty point game can give me fifteen points sixteen points for a free nine hundred bucks. I won't be bad guy. Like pie. haven't said him since. Maybe we two or three. This year zeke. This week okay. He playing the bengals. Six six hundred dollars out the workload is still there. He's had over twenty touches. Four boys five games. Cincinnati the last weekend to allow gaskins gaughman in interest gibson to get about seventeen points. So gimme zeke. Game plan will benefit him. And i think we've cowboys will win a game. Yeah look i. I i'm vic fangio or fortunately traded a lot to get him. Fortunately i'm still in the first place. So i'm watching what i was gonna watch them closely in. It's frustrating ceesay. Go out on like sure. Yard like thirty one to twenty dollars. What are you doing. You know what i mean but added expect them to get. The ball ezekiel get back survived targets. I think. I don't think he's been healthy. The past couple of weeks. Either so maybe. He's a little bit healthier this week. So we'll say i'm a ride. The hot hand this week. Go my boy. David montgomery sixty five hundred bucks against houston past two weeks. No surprise with beckham starting lineup. Twenty eight points week. Twelve twenty seven points against detroit thing with montgomery is a coral. Patterson had thirteen Snaps at running back last week. And he ran about ball ten times for deny yards and a touchdown so that might be the only concern anything about him but he still evolved in. Pr in six targets the week before for targets last week Houston's defense is is. His underrated is pretty good but I still think he'll be to find some room against the defense say. Montgomery monty has been hot but to get around him and he's been he's been pretty consistent to. He's only had two game three games this year. has value so this is the highest been all year. Sixty five hundred. Yeah so so expensive. In august zeke's i think zico slightly will run but obviously very well that easy biting the.

"Your head coach, man, and you're talking about his conversation with Nick Foles, who did not want to huddle up. The offense flowing. Let's get Cem Momenta MME. Some fluid ity if you will, Adam Hogue wrote about this at NBC Sports Chicago are Bears reporter on W. G. N radio, and he Joins us Now the coach and the Q B getting along. Okay. Here, Adam, we we confident they're just becoming a better man, Aggie and Nick Foles all at the same time. Yeah, I think so. I think I think that this is actually very positive. A story that came out of game the other night, because, well, it's the type of thing that you feel much better about after a win, and if they had lost because that's a situation where you knew you couldn't look back as it is a big missed opportunity. Which it Woz, except for the fact that essentially the way I look at this was both of them were technically right. But Ls was more right. If that makes sense. I mean there. They got to a spot by going hurry up, which was a smart thing to do because the bearsoffensive line was not playing well. And James Daniels got hurt. There was some uncertainty there on the line, and by speeding things up. You're putting the defense other heels and taking the rush away a little bit. So it was working, but they got to a spot like pretty much the exact spot where they had practice all week. This play the Cordell Patterson that they felt really confident that Maggie felt really confident would result the touchdown. And quite frankly, the play worked. If the protection had been there because Cordero Patterson was open, But that's exactly Nicole's point. The protection wasn't Something that they could rely on. And in that spot it led to a sack fumble. It could have been disastrous. It still hurt and Nichols was right in saying, Hey, let's keep the moment um going, you know, Forget whatever play we worked on in practice. This is the moment we're in. Now. This is what's happening right now. And I think that that's important because Matt Maggie hasn't had this type of quarterback over the last two years that he could rely on in those situations to kind of take charge. And hand that trust over. So this is a perfect example to me. Why Nick Foles in there right now. And why now that the Bears have reached this point, Maggie needs to give this quarter back a little bit more say over these types of situations. Went along those lines, the audible that set up the game winning field goal. You would never have seen that with Mitchell. Too risky, right? I mean, when he's when he's lofting it over the top of A shack Barrett and Carlton Davis and in front of Antoine Winfield, and here's David Montgomery, making a nice play. By the way. We still miss you, too, Rico, but that Montgomery's distinguishing himself out of the backfield. I think maybe Coral Patterson will, too. That was all Nick Foles right there. Great, great call great touch in the past, and the Bears won a football game. Yeah, and I don't want to make it sound like Are allowing Nick Foles to do things that Mitch wasn't allowed to do. I mean, I think for most of these plays the situation that's what the offense is. They went to the line of scrimmage plenty of times with match where he He had the ability to check from a run to a past past to run. They had two plays on and the problem was, he wasn't always diagnosing things the same way that on the play, you're talking about car, Nick Fall, saw everything perfectly. You know, he recognised tourist Who was it? Who is covering? Uh, the back out of the backfield there in that spot and for him to process all of that was basically 13. Seconds before the snap and the call out Rub rub rub to Al Robinson to make sure And that seemed like a check. Maybe. Ah. You know an option there. For the type of route that Alan Robinson was going to run, and he calls it out right before the snap the playoff perfectly, so I don't think it's so much a matter of them, allowing Nicole to do more. I just think it's a matter of Nick Foles doing more correctly. Well, I agree with Adam, but also do you remember and going back into what Maggie said at the end of last season. What Drabinsky's problem was all year. He's talking about him. He cannot read a recognized defense is and he said, I'm almost quoting Maggie. I'm not quite word a word, but what he said was. I'm gonna work with Stravinsky all offseason and get himto understand the different looks that he asked to see and recognize. The different defense is and how to shift and move. So when when you say that false comes up like now, he sees the field different than Travis Key does. Because you got your own head coach telling you, the quarterback you head here couldn't read defense's And Maggie said it He did. The quote was I want Mitch to become a master of coverage is that was the challenge in the office and he was going to work with them all off season to figure it out. Well, and and it is their work. Yeah, well, it didn't work. Okay, so we just had cause on and he still Maintains the fact that We give kudos to Matt Negi. He's done a good job of bringing this team to the point where they're foreign one. They've had three come from behind victories out of the four, which from double digits. It's amazing. All that being said the offense just doesn't seem to cut it now. He brought in laser. De Filipo. The offensive. Like all these different, you know, new angles in Verona type Castillo line coach all the things that what what do you think it will take for him? To relinquish the play calling, And here's another thing that I want to talk about. Early in the game. The New England Patriots went for it on fourth and one from their own 20. Correct now, you know, that was unbelievable. The unbelievable part Wass the on on third down the receiver of the back, whoever it was stepped out of bounds about two yards short of the first down marker. And yet the officials didn't see it and gave him the ball marked it up there about a foot or soar away now, you know, and I know if Maggie It wasn't all concerned with play calling. He would have been in the position where he should have Through the challenge flag and got that play overturned and now it would've been forth into rather than fourth and inches, and you know, and I know they probably would have done it. But instead, they basically said, we know the Bears are. We're going, we don't care, and they went for it and got it. So what I'm saying is that Dr Eventuated into points instead of a pot, so don't you think there's other things for the good of the team? That hiss, you know, allowing somebody else maybe to try play calling for a while so he could focus on the team picture would not be a good thing. Yeah, I understand that argument, and I think they're they're certainly some truth to it. The idea was definitely is truth to the idea that when you're not concerned about play calling, you should be more on top for you. You know you have more time and Space in your head to worry about head coaching decisions, which are different from Playcalling decisions in but I would you know what first, like, totally agree with you, Ham because that I was thinking the same thing in that spot. I am usually against Challenging spot because they almost never get overturned. But in that, in that situation, it looked fairly obvious that the ball carrier with out of bounds at about six inches. Yeah, You're a least getting half a yard, maybe a full yard more. And and I agree that even though Bruce Arians is an aggressive coach, you back up just that much. Everybody. At least I did knew that Tom Brady was going to sneak the ball there. That's what he does know situation..

"Right direction and Rogers so long she years same in ninety two and Rogers came in after sitting for bunch you're suggesting for but what I thought was interesting also is the fact that when you you know switch teams now it it speeds up again then it slows down then maybe new offensive coordinator can speed up again now in this case Nicky is really the offense of coordinator so and a lot of that when you come to a new team of stress and teammates right search and a defensive line you get in there you've been running stones with guys for four years now you've got to get this all started to work out get a big it as a full speed type situation where you guys are complementing each other instead of running any remember with with a quarterback playing very average he had ninety eight catches eleven hundred yards just think of true basically up his game where we are out Robinson go I thought this is a little step intrigue he averaged eleven point seven which is like basically is lowest of his career and we know that's part of the whole Truby ski pass game this year it was it was well it is finally time to follow no traditionally past came in that neck yeah that's what I call for just building approach this often since no mark freedom I don't I don't say David gold yeah well you know you get all offensive coordinator and it doesn't matter who the offense of coordinator is mad men call in the play of course in and and he's the head coach you need even if he wasn't calling the place he sets the tone it's kind of what I was saying about Harbaugh he sets the tone is the head coach but its quarterback did not is that is the best thing that he's done for this the Chicago Bears is called dub because the players love it no you know they love anywhere from anywhere from Madden and they want it twenty times right twenty times got clogged up welcome that's the that's the best thing when you look back on it whenever it ends you're gonna serve well he's they had fun when they won no I'm in I'm gonna be a little bit more optimistic I'm gonna say look one good year with the quarterback and head coach one bad year with the quarterback so here's the telling here here's the telling your coming up really if it fails in they might all be gone think about that if it does when when Mitch is done they're all done follow us on Instagram the station at ESPN underscore Chicago and of course the show Carmen and your goal at Instagram let's go to on Instagram Danny Kristo you're on ESPN one thousand what's up then they should make a call a couple quick things all I can only imagine going anywhere well they got to shore up the offense of line to get more support staff on the sale was gonna do there's no way around that but a real quick Chuck analogy Mitch isn't the guy that can like you make a move and you tell me no don't do that some movies are gonna move your walk luger walking to move the pieces around and show you and you're looking at like what your wizard how you doing that he's more the guy to memorize the first two three or four moves of like any game but that would get a little out of whack you have to slow down you can't do that with all you got to be able to think on your feet really quick I think that like the guys like Rogers Brady manning so those first guys that can they just you know the value of nothing going to confuse them so they got a plate at his whatever all Mitch can do Lancel easy and could you kill me only wired a certain way or some you can ridiculous what work but you can't change your guide to think like those guys right just a player their strengths and I think of the office of one got a little bit better some more weapons to go to I think happened a little slower form we didn't get the after scrambling you know every play would have like anybody's gonna do really good and you're lucky to be a lot better plus another thing is I would would would would really nice take a garlic Bridgewater or Mario to any of you guys and drop them on the bears the last two games of the season that actually compare quarterbacks because of all the fun Bridgewater plays against all odds but she's so we went thirty five to ten and then we beat Minnesota twenty eight to three okay all right maybe it is the quarterback but now you gotta wait till next year and that's like a big waiting game is kinda aggravating but what you gonna do I agree with Dan and I get rid of **** they're not they're not going pretty obvious yeah and when they go I'm hoping they get a young quarterback I want a young quarterback I don't know what I would do right now I will I would sign the best back to possible and then at least somebody's there if it all falls apart is this one and I would also tell might I would also have my quarterback play in the preseason my quarterback play in the preseason that needs to change that's the most thing I'm most aggravated about assemblies that is out if that doesn't change that's a big mistake you're right he does SO Mikey's Joe Montana sit out the whole preseason this might be one of the rare instances where this team needs to have three quarterbacks your letter you sent out of the ring that you talk about Tribbett ski who theoretically they've already got pendant as a starter any young guy that needs to be developed maybe that started to develop that way if midge gets hurt you play the veteran quarterback this is a team that cries for say that is the best scenario possible right yeah ready to play and the young guy U. yeah we can do it you can do it because you've got positional flexibility with coral Patterson you got positional flexibility with interesting could be your fifth wide receiver it could be a fourth running better second running back so you G. a go of course my point is you got one guy that could take two positions which gives you the flexibility to go head I think having throwing quarterback he's you're going Jesse Rogers here till two o'clock and it's why don't still be you're listening ESPN one thousand wishing you a happy new year of course three one two three three two three seven seven six is the phone number if you want to Chinamen Lewis Robert signs a contract with the white Sox six years fifty million looks like they are ready to pounce in that AL central with what is right whoever wins the winner doesn't our story when the summer but you you have to start somewhere and they've done a good job in adding maybe didn't hit a home run with the child but maybe it was a good thing last year maybe it's a home run with your call maybe that's a good thing it doesn't take long for those contracts to look bad men have to rocky severe or not on the market right now so sometimes the moves you don't make a big are the better moves the white Sox look like they can be players in the S. and propelled you to call over and say give me my house right now and tell you to call over and say I want my algae bloom I might call over and say Hey Bristol put me on the white Sox wanna fall winter right now with the cubs are doing right now which is a sad state of affairs is a setting crosstalk with cap what's happened to caress your depressed or whatever it's just sad that for to our seasons in a row you can't really add your team or maneuver it the way you'd want to into a winner Kerr correct me if I'm wrong though just so I understand here yeah separately yeah maybe one or two others relievers yeah what's changed with Chicago Cubs yeah Brian it's just it's got more expensive a bright you got bias yeah yeah sh Warburg right right Hey words out there right I guess that it never was in control resident have a leadoff hitter is still there thanks you still got guys that were you know but it's the same kind of hitters that get out right bite if you throw a curve ball you're gonna get the steam out you throw change if you can get this email I don't get it either maybe changing managers will change the offense I don't know but they are convinced that the offense is broken and then they have too many of the same kind of haters lady I won't get any right don't they don't have someone like that they went from one philosophy to another there's a John mailing back to the other flyers you John mainly you're not wrong they know what the hell they want with their readers whether they wanted it completely well rounded team offense simply and sometimes you can't do that you can't change hitters into something they're not but you had success being the other kind so I they sort of got caught in between with all that we can talk about it and then see then who's to blame see the who's to blame for what a change philosophies in going who's the one to blame was it man or was it force fed on that little bit of both was just another one of those steel tank shallow depth and definitely manning was involved in the cloud definitely man was involved he didn't like you see I think they do you know what I saw how they bury the hatchet so you are they bury the hatchet out whether they got too nervous after losing out the two thousand seventeen playoffs that's why way I look at it they forgot that the play offs are random and you've already just won a World Series the idea of going back to when it again was was far fetched right and they panic to me to me after the seventeen playoffs things happen the playoffs you're facing historically good pitching staff the Dodgers they were that good change for the signature and it seemed like it seem like it in that includes matter anyway with the break three one two three three two three seven seven six is the number will continue with the bears postmortem after this and Adam Schefter joins the show as well tons to talk about with him right here on ESPN one thousand they've.

"Trustee I'm David Kaplan Carmen your car in for cross talk I should have known I told boil this they yesterday was going to go well when I walked from TV to Grant Park and I said I running late I got to get there maybe there's a quicker route ended up walking on the lake shore drive help the entrance ramp. I mean your whole life I don't know if he had at night I mean really what do you need a map for to get from NBC I know how to get there but it was a short use your use your own internal GPS and then once you're in the city and on the quickest route out of the GPO. how do you get to the big monkey carm direct on canal for crying out loud the Canal Street short cut to the to the south side room scene to the north side. yes no do you believe you we it's a great deal we've been an hour we know you're there well diagonal St. take it out cavs alright sure he's walking up the on ramp. worried about getting but yeah he's gonna pull the fall now to video it's not get out of our Snapchat not that worried exactly which can't read the defense camp at cap can't read a map what the hell is going on brutal. absolutely brutal no that skill that is that's orange hearing you know that is that right yeah and I'm very I'd like I knew how to get their own kind of late maybe there's a short cut it said I take water St am I right now the water St and next thing I know I'm walking I'm like oh god there's no pass over there well it's too I've gone too far go I can. just wing it here and then next thing you know that's the answer and how about the listener picking him up and taking them to my guys kind. in Coleman already house in town that cap emptying his pockets just giving and whatever's in there is there is a male bodies give cars. Jack. so. good kid. last night. what do you think. what just happened. it was cool it. are you to stick with this with our up is bad yeah packed my bags last flight John. he's had a tough night is a night yeah we we gonna deal I'm a little worried is too well what might happen in Denver because that I know he knows Vic. service you like Vic Fangio angel knows better than anybody else he when you practice against the guy and you see a dial for old please in for a couple seasons you know exactly what his problem and the problem is like me. weakness is Vic Fangio is greatest strength like there might not be better defensive game plan right now in terms of disguise in scheme than Vic Fangio and this kid can't read defense like this does not bode well going you know to where nobody wins in Denver anyway right in September I I think anybody you look at mich in your open the best from H. and everybody's chair information but we just need to get a little point words of a decent game manager that's all you can ask for right now let's get into the point was a decent game manager and he doesn't kill defense. I'm a writer my wrong you guys saw what you saw yesterday the holy Scott and just be a decent game manager that's all right okay some ask you this was yesterday more a product of Mitch isn't that good or he didn't have any pre season again any live artillery throwing Adam or combination of everything like break that down for me I think it's seventy five percent that he is who he is. I think maybe fifteen percent that that yeah the fifty place that he would have had in the pre season if you value that are all well would have helped him a little bit a just whatever speeds happening you can't replicate in practice doesn't happen that way it's got to happen in the game so seventy five fifty and then just ten percent might just be Hey he's trying to figure out who the hell yes I don't know if he's got confidence in himself after time income in front of people say yeah well I live in it doesn't matter he might be back there just crap in his own pants on he got if I kind of figure out who this guy is going to be like I said I just want to get to be a game manager type I'm not I don't I'm not looking for anything more he's not going to be more homes no he's not gonna be deshaun Watson those ships gentleman have sailed okay now we're just hoping he could be out Smith that's it no more no less let's get into that level and just go about the business of trying to win football games. twenty wow I'm fortunate but that's where you're at the rest of the league is figured out he's not going to be the quarterback they know that the echoing statement the trombone Williams said that when he heard that from the coaches all week I'm sure force Mitch Williams to play quarterback which way it you know but I have been having a. ski to be ill yeah this is a call today as they will just let me know. go to **** on NFL network last night of Charles what's it say we knew Jay would throw yeah and this one about Mick Foley's color could drop back and see a defense identified now they did stupid things right because he didn't care well I guess that was a problem he was going to swing it no matter what because you wanted to but he can read the deep fried you could read the defense and the date that the comparable here is rex Grossman that's your comparator. he's he's not even a check collar type they can come back and understood what was happening my guy Alex brown I I was arguing with him yesterday about this and he's not like you're calling you got to play a pre season do you think Matt Nagy seeing what he saw last night will change his tune next no matter what happens the next fifteen because he doesn't want to be. caught short going into opening day next year well we'll have to see next year I don't think he's going to change anything he's going I don't either I don't think there's a lot to be these moments I think this is the way young coaches in this league are going to handle the preseason that the preseason is gonna get fed up with it anyway yeah I mean it it I don't think they're gonna change and they know the first couple of games are going to be rough they're not changing explain this to me here I am seeing Nagy knows the deficiencies after basically he knows them better than anybody right right. why abandon the run like they did let's see the that I mention that nobody can answer I mean that it's why did you abandon run I don't know I don't know why they banded the run in a game that was never more than. right yeah for four games four point okay also while I do not have the ball. a little bit more innovation during the run I never saw one of those rivers as you know those quick right three and the ball I didn't see any that coral Patterson with one of the you know made jet sweeper some I mean you know about their. the third in one play with. Mitch the read option we got name not kicking yeah I'm not kicking the field goal with the third one with Mitch was a shovel pass did you see the trouble pastor trying to run and it didn't happen yeah yeah and end up getting you know scuttled a little bit out the the tide that never made it over there is too much penetration it became a problem so that when the coral Patterson were changed Daniels doesn't think that a guy might slant over the top yeah then the whole wide slamming on that one little bit of mobile it's going to cause that much problems for your offense of line the offensive line was bad address yes I was it had also why may have helped contribute. those of Mick Stravinsky because we know he doesn't have a pressure well to begin with right now he can evade pressuring you can get away. but he doesn't have a pressure. as far as the ability then go down feel neat results once those feet start to dance and they would either way trying to solo his you know much calmer than much calmer that much calmer yeah early in the game wait till later they will be there all over the place neither online play well and that's probably the biggest by product of not having a pre season I mean back Terry had as many Matt navy is beefing right now wasn't good enough and I I told the players that I told him I told him that last late a locker room that it starts with me I need to be better and I will be better and I'm going to demand that from myself from our coaches and from our players and then you got I think good coaches figure out the why part they don't just get all angry upset Sir point fingers or or or frustrated it it was you know last night was that was that was that was tough and I'm not talking about. after the old on the whole night and even this morning is still you still feel it but there's a there's a just I have this competitive competitiveness in me that I'm not gonna let that take away the way I'm gonna talk to second this next week I'm gonna use this to make me a better coach and we're going to use it as a team so it saw I need to be better there's no doubt about it. give some..

you said look I'll give a better day and write in a completely startled and David that's always called Davis a Devon Devon you try to be HSA mispronounces may feature to throw me out of the bus Sir kind of yeah goodness kind of also the text I will talk about packs liberty tricks for her talk about factual is coming up in just a little bit actually yeah in a Melissa now we're gonna get into a little book conversation about packs diligently York sorry as you my touchdown celebration of their this from Patrick can do really I imagine Paxil age being of apple juice guy sitting in the basement yelling Hey apple juice has the thing was is now yeah Chad will Ferrell's character from what a treasure slot yeah so that was a that was a really cool like that movie where it was good it was like not it could've been better the ending bothers me to this day I was alive not even there to him yeah it is weird is like they like kind of acting like her you know so this all up in heaven will send it up with the girl and you know right beer everybody happy right and that's how they did it I definitely tuned in for movie reviews with an right right now yeah well that's what you get on the show rockets country tonight slash movie right your wedding crashers review tonight yeah but that was a great cameo will will Ferrell being will Ferrell because you know it's a place and every move you home also Vince Vaughn plays Vince Vaughn every movie yeah yeah also plays old Wilson every movie you gotta be better right as you like the only stretch as far as an acting job in that entire movie was Bradley Cooper being kind of a kind of an a hole or just like like Christopher Walken is a senator yeah that that was really it is everybody else is kind of play themselves in that movie yeah but it was it was entertaining you have someone come to central's while I I I watch it for a couple minutes until bills it's what is what you stay through to the commercial break at least yeah I but then we get towards the end that's when I'm like okay not gonna find something else I can't watch the end again so that you missed the the will Ferrell parts no I see the will Ferrell and then I am all right like I I I wait through will Ferrell that's the in the movie for me like right around that time is the in the movie for me right and then I and I go find something I feel like and Wilson that move you feel like a guy who's is walking up at the the wedding crashers like some people say we only use ten percent of our heads but I think we only use ten percent of our hearts if you feel like you guys try to that line out of a point what could lead and I feel like you I feel like you it in your stance playing outfield for the Yankees how you try to that line out what what well done a list of of is good for just a moment all right we're gonna we're gonna be see I get back to the Broncos here come over the top of the brainy crystal or K. way insiders gonna join us but this guy you talked about the combination there right of Sammy Watkins and golden Tate now our producer Michael Cooper said he hated that Khan Kamboh we have to say for yourself then he hates that combination yeah he hates the combination to you throughout their a combination it's see there's a comparisons is not comparisons to their room NFL productivity I'm not comparing with this because career oric to Sammy Watkins a golden Tate and saying that this got a report is that he plays like that he is a a a body any a style of play they play similar list is kind of a wide receiver who has the ability of a running back after the catch kind of like Sammy walk it's you know the guy he would invoke be coral Patterson another with those guys all pro wide receivers with their production of the walk ins had a good year can't see last year I think he's gonna be due this year the really what you're getting at is what what skill set when I make a comparison I'm so what skill set is gonna bring to the table and was the kind of brings that skill set to the table I think he's better than saying you walk ins I used better than than some of the guys I like I like the court power Patterson comp better but I think a better version on Aug other core there wasn't a first rounder yeah that means the Vikings yeah so I mean I'm sexy dress to replace Percy Harvin right guy who he come could compares favorably to Percy might have been a little faster but in terms of the skill set that you bring to the table that's what I'm compared to I'm not saying that you know because it is who was in here is talk well which compared to Julio Jones on the wall he's not easily personal you can play like Julio is second full to invoke Julio Jones a top three wide receiver arguably in the NFL is heavy handed where where's he called a cloud yeah he threw another word in there to be asked when the season of the year one is on the air not a decent with such sincerity right like you like stairs you downright daggers I staggers yeah Sucka three on me like you Stephanie just suck up three armies looking at me like no how dare you stated from my three point attempt to get it wrong don't miss speak speak what I told you Hey listen this guy is crazy town that it I think he's gonna be a top ten pick I think he has the potential to be a tough first round guy rolled his top ten it's going to depend on the four time really good why is he for class yeah and you can't commit major Judy there's there's there's a couple of guys in this class that I I just I can't see hi a it's gonna be tough I look I like we missed a lot I think you can be very productive in the league but I think there's two guys they they probably get taken ahead of him just knowing what I know about what scouts value employers I wish we could have a better career in those are the two but I just know what I know I I just don't see a way past maybe the US maybe I eat some crow and I I don't know but I I right now look at this and say now there's two guys here the Broncos well there's the hometown feminized essay hometown he's not actually from Colorado yeah but I mean see you access so if you're the Broncos in the manual Sanders moves on potentially but this year that guy I don't know that he's he's the burger that you're looking for I think love is because more that underneath guys I will get you all that it created space will be use the burger but I think he's an interesting chess piece I think he is too I think of Cortland wasn't the other guy I think yeah absolutely but I I think you at Cortland kind of sort of him Dejan kind of hybrid in hit the role that he would have with the Broncos at any give the Broncos had like Tyler Lockett out there or ill or somebody like that you will go into free agency maybe and get one of those guys are maybe not let's see if I like you call grants or emails or something like that is out there that's saying that you could put him opposite something it's going to it's going to take the top off because you if you roll that safety coverage that's giving a guy like with this one all one of the open field and that's where he's dangerous and you got it was because of that running back after the catch ability that's what you wanna do your religious gonna drag he put the ball in his hands let alone in space that that's the ideal situation for him you can get speedsters in I mean we call hard to win the second round Terry McLaurin when the third I mean you get speedsters all over the place his speeches even later what a pain heart like went undrafted all yeah I was almost there there's no way you could five guys was with the idea is though that you need somebody to take the top off opposite live is gonna to.

"That stick to just came in on the tax line I can go for all the texts that are coming in on the tax line right now man does it come on man in the football bowl over Ryan Edwards you're no idea what this does would you agree with ban on anything there is room for me and my ego on the Pandora's box that you opened by agreeing with and so line that David Cain correct he came out he said sorry Ryan it's all been if the office converts the third out of a once in a while I will be happy this rule yeah it was it is partially been out here want to give you partial credit on that David came in he came he said look I'll give a better day and write in a completely startled and David that's not as an adult dataset Devon Devon you try to be HSA mispronounces may feature throw me out of the bus Sir kind of yeah goodness kind of also the text I will talk about packs liberty tricks or talk about factual is coming up in just a little bit actually yeah into the lesson now we're gonna get into a little book conversation about Paxton Lynch what you're sorry you my touchdown celebration of their this from patcher can do really I imagine Paxil age being of apple juice guy sitting in the basement yelling Hey apple juice has the thing was is now yeah Chad will Ferrell's character from what aggressors yeah so that was a that was a really cool like that movie where it was good it was like not it could've been better the ending bothers me to this day I was alive not even there to him yeah it is weird is like they like kind of acting like her you know so this all up in have or will soon end up with a girl and you know right everybody happy right and that's how they did it I definitely tuned in for movie reviews with an right right now yeah well that's what you get on the show Marcus country tonight slash movie relaxing wedding crashers review tonight yeah but that was a great cameo will will Ferrell being will Ferrell because you know it's a place and every move you also Vince Vaughn plays Vince Vaughn every movie yeah yeah also plays old Wilson every movie you gotta be better right as you like the only stretch as far as an acting job in that entire movie was Bradley Cooper being kind of a kind of an a hole or just like like Christopher Walken is a senator yeah that that was really it is everybody else is gonna play themselves in that movie yeah but it was it was entertaining you have someone come to central while I I I watch it for a couple minutes until bills it's what is what you stay through to the commercial break at least yeah I but then we get towards the end that's when I'm like okay not gonna find something else I can't watch the end again so that you missed the the will Ferrell parts no I see the will Ferrell and then I am all right like I I I wait through will Ferrell that's the in the movie for me looks like right around that time is the in the movie for me right and then I and I go find something I feel like and Wilson that move you feel like a guy who's is walking up the the wedding crashers like some people say we only use ten percent of our heads but I think we only use ten percent of our hearts if you feel like you guys try to that line out of a point what could lead and I feel like you I feel like you it in your stance playing outfield for the Yankees how you try to that line out what what well done a list of of is good for just a moment all right we're gonna we're gonna have you see get back to the Broncos here come over the top of the brainy crystal or K. way insiders gonna join us but this guy you talked about the combination there right of Sammy Watkins and golden Tate now our producer Michael Cooper said he hated that Khan Kamboh we have to say for yourself then he hates that combination yeah he hates the combination to you throughout their a combination it's see there's a comparisons is not comparisons to their NFL productivity I'm not comparing with this because career osric to Sammy Watkins a gold Tatum saying that this got a report is that he plays like that he is a a a body any style of play they play similar list is kind of a wide receiver who has the ability of a running back after the catch kind of like Sammy walk it's you know the guy you would invoke be coral Patterson another with those guys all pro wide receivers with their production of the walk ins had a good year can't see last year I think he's gonna give you this year the really what you're getting at is what what skill set when I make a comparison so what skill set is gonna bring to the table and was the kind of brings that skill set to the table I think he's better than saying you walk ins I used better than than some of the guys I like I like the court power Patterson comp better but I think a better version on Aug other core there wasn't a first rounder yeah that means the Vikings yeah so I mean I'm not sexy dress to replace Percy Harvin right guy who he come could compares favorably to Percy might have been a little faster but in terms of the skill set that you bring to the table that's what I'm compared to I'm not saying that you know because it's who was in here subculture compared to Julio Jones on the wall I'm not easily over small you can play like Julio is second full to invoke Julio Jones a top three wide receiver arguably in the NFL is heavy handed where where's he called a cloud yeah he threw another word in there too yes go on the on the air these are the are not at the center was such sincerity right like you like stairs you downright daggers I staggers yeah Sucka three on me like you Stephanie just suck up three armies looking at me like no how dare you stated from my three point attempt to get it wrong don't miss speak speak what I told you Hey listen this guy is crazy town that it I think he's gonna be a top ten pick I think he has the potential to be a tough first round guy rolled his top ten it's going to depend on the fourth so I'm really good why career in those other two but I just know what I know I I just don't see a way past maybe to us maybe I need some cross I don't know but I I right now look at this and say now there's two guys here the Broncos well there's the hometown feminized essay hometown he's not actually from Colorado yeah but I mean see you access so if you're the Broncos in the manual Sanders moves on potentially but this year that guy I don't know that he's he's the burger that you're looking for I think Levesque is more that underneath guys I would get it all out of creating space will be use the burger but I think he's an interesting chess piece I think he's too I think of Cortland wasn't the other guy I think yeah absolutely but I I think you at Cortland kind of sort of him Dejan kind of hybrid in hit the role that he would have with the Broncos at any give the Broncos had like Tyler Lockett out there or ill or somebody like that you will be in the free agency maybe and get one of those guys are maybe not let's see if I like you call grants or emails or something like that is out there that's saying that you could put him opposite something it's going to it's going to take the top off because you if you roll that safety coverage that's giving a Gallic Levesque one all one of the open field that's where he's dangerous and you got it was because of that running back after the catch ability that's what you wanna do your religious gonna drag he put the ball in his hands let him run on a lot of space that that's the ideal situation for him you can get speedsters in I mean we call hard to win the second round Terry McLaurin when the third I mean you get speedsters all over the place you speedsters even later what a pain heart like went undrafted all yeah I was almost there there's no way you could five guys was with the idea is though that you need somebody to take the top off opposite live is gonna to maximize what he does three oh three someone three eighty five eighty five "Where we see that of all he's done a really good job at it you know time will tell here this year as we go but I I really like where he's at and I just appreciate how much of a student who gave me as we talk about reading recognize recognition out there what you see and then they're gonna change it on your right before the snapping out show you something they're going to take it away are we talking about just being able look at keys that he sees or maybe a safety street a one way or the other a little bit of both and and how that affects it is to our our wide receivers their route to get adjusted by different coverages that these that we all see and so you have to be synchronized you want to be on the same page that comes with experience we got those games last year with Mitch and and now you know every roof we get in practice and as we go here so we're going to help for a quarterback to truly take that like that jump or to go to that next level coaches he have to be able to see the defense and analyze it in no does he have to be like a three read quarterback to truly be great you should you know a lot of these great quarterbacks in this league right now they've been in this league for a long time and they've had a lot of experience or what they've been able to do is see a lot of different defenses and them at you know I think Tom Brady said at last year he mentioned that you know there's not a defense that has been thrown to him that he hasn't seen yet well what that allows you to do is anticipate your throws which is you're gonna throw you know throw the guy open essentially and it just makes everything go a lot smoother and and that's where all the newly we want to get one match what's the offense if addition that's got you most excited for twenty nineteen there's a bunch to tell you the truth in general I look at the running back position you know with with Mike Davison and David Montgomery added to the mix with some other young guys as well you look at a guy like Cordero Patterson and you know just coming from a Superbowl team and and seeing how they did it in ways that we want to use on our wide receivers get now on Robinson for a full year now in in in training camp just working on that timing and I think we're really deep to wide out so that that part's really exciting how nice is it to have the flexibility with coral Patterson he could be here fifth running back six running back on Sunday you could be your fifth wide receiver six wide receiver on Sunday it does provide you with some tremendous flexibility for sure you like you said he's he's out he's versatile in what he can do and so we're just trying to figure out what's the best thing for us in this offense to use them and we don't want to overload on but anytime he's on the field the defense has to no worries that and with the more of those type of people you have in your office the better you're going to do I think Anthony Miller last year was absolutely fantastic as far as it's hard to play wide receiver with one arm and what he had gone out with that shoulder was not an easy situation and so he basically did everything one arm is going to be to our base year it's going to be healthy for men the way again how much more of an approved are you looking to see well a lot and I think for him he has all the physical attributes attributes to be really good in this league very very talented and he knows it hell let you know you know you like I have some confidence seem but yet but the mental side of it for him is going to be his biggest challenge which is tackled so far he's done really well with that and so we're right now we're in a word of placing camper the volume start to pick up and he's handled it well and it's just going to continue manatees are gas it's Carmen your goal we are live at bears training camp for a an offense of got like you I mean how exciting is it to have a player like to recall in in you know your can I say he's a gadget guy we don't I don't mean that the disrespectful way but he's so versatile and you really used him in a lot of different ways last year when your mind gets going you start thinking about offense do you just find yourself constantly thinking I could use in this way this way this way there's a whole bunch more that we're gonna scene twenty nineteen that we did see last year yeah most likely without giving away too many details if it is your out of position with a guy that can handle a lot of volume and and that doesn't always mean that every time he's in there he gets the ball there's times where he may not get the ball but he opened up somebody else because he took two defenders with them that's all part of the the the chess match as coaches and with match ups which I think is so big in this league and so when he's out there we we we want to use him as much as we can we don't want to over do it the volume wise and and then you're taking away from the fire self were were we like we're at yeah and we look forward to what he's about to do if you plan in the backfield with Davis from a calm rate the teams then consider him a wide receiver ready still consider him a running back or is it just dictate what the personals going to be out sure did you say with or with or or or both with but both hearing on the on the field yeah yeah yeah I know it it it depends it depends on I think yeah every team is a little bit different you know some might look at him as more of a wide receiver in a particular situation first second down third down scenario they may look at him as a running back and I think that's what that's what's so great for us is is are we just got to use him how we want to use them in that play and then however the Dick the defense USM and dictates what they do your team seems to have a lot of confidence and that's a great thing especially this defense like as a coach do you guys in as a staff you sometimes have to sort of drill Hey we still have to be humble we gotta remember what were what were going for here we got to remember we lost the one only laugh game last year confidence is great but is it your job to make sure that it doesn't get out of control without a doubt that's my number one job and I feel like that's one of my strengths is I have a good pulse on the players right now they understand were were coming from as the head coach and how these other coaches are worn out looking ahead and we've made a loud and clear that were were happy with what we did last year but we didn't we didn't really win anything you know would anyone a playoff game so we made it to the playoffs but certainly not good enough we have so many people back in us and and the goal is to win the Superbowl but you can't win a Superbowl if you don't win game one right this kicking situation is driving me crazy all I have a kicker to be seen and not heard okay occurred I get apps you even let my the flights home I'm just trying to understand exactly a is right that the square for the artist with the the Econet space allowed the papers to talk about these kickers reopen somebody just establishing himself and you can move on from this thing yeah of course we we want to we understand recognize how big of a you know position that is that somebody to score points for every time there on the field weathers you know what with the field or an extra point and so far we've we've come out here the last few days in these guys competed and they've done really well I'm proud of them for doing that they know that they have to do that and what better way to do it then out here for all the fans who care so much but yet are know that they're creating pressure with our kickers already if the kickers know they got to make it and so I just think was pretty neat to see like you said all the fans are that it was you can hear me out they were just so focused at whether or not these kicks are being made and so they the the the guys know it and I love it so are they going taking turns each day is that right like is that comment or is that something psychological maybe that you're trying to throw these guys to see how the down it's nothing off nothing about his psychological it's all about just get in a rhythm so they're gonna alternate every every day each each cow go every other day and we don't care about elements we don't care about the situation of practice works out that guy has that day and our you know our reference that to like a free throw shooting contests when you have ten people in there and you'll get the she won three throat free throw if you miss it you're knocked out well instead of just shoot ten in a row get in a rhythm now these guys are in a rhythm and I think you're seeing some of that too as are they're making a lot of these kicks in practice I know you guys can't divulge too much about what's going to happen the preseason but that you had the one extra game last year so maybe that was a sort of different how you mapped out your road over those six weeks you got the for this year should we anticipate that it looks kind of similar though that you're just going to try to protect you guys we won't see starters a whole heck of a lot of the pre season its price safe to say that we are uniquely we were stunned like what the hell is dad goes back to a day when he needs experience but he's not getting it I was driving back to when they beat on each other for six weeks which is kind of silly but we were also we were all stunned we debated a lot like why would they not playing the third preseason game now you guys were healthy knock on wood you won the division so you get the pop out you're just so I mean it look right and it was it was that like a calculated thing were you ever worried about that at all over you confident the way your plane no honestly guys.

"It's not worth that much. Any how good he will how well he did with the patriots. You will not do that. Well, same thing with offense. A mind is pretty bright. No. But I am Dollah. He got now you don't trust them. But you trusted them last. No, I didn't. I thought it was ridiculous to especially as a runner the way. He ran the ball. I thought it'd be cast and he did it. He was fine. He was the ball. He was gonna fumble. Because I hated way generally not many six foot. Frightening never I had confidence. Did what they ask you play on the patriots. You're and you hit free agency. You will get paid when Sean McVay don't Sean McVay. You probably getting hired this guy. Struggled to find a contract on your patriotism, freaking Brandon. Bolden got picked up last year. Back. He was like the fifth running back to the Dollah left last year. When he's got now twice. He, oh, it's I wouldn't necessarily get paid when he left. I mean that made sense you get these guys all get overpaid. They do I just think that they could be good for them. Patriots players gonna come in here. And it's just gonna be through process of Moses that you're going to start winning because you got whoever coral Patterson and the locker room memo. Join elements will make like two million dollars this year. Yeah. I mean, that's it probably due for raise. Does not giving money push up. If I'm element. I'm gonna go put Al Patterson, I know him better than him. He's making five million well doors the guidelines. I just signed Humphries nine million a year the patriots. They just missed out delegates. The titans got him said, if you're element you like I love, Tom and everything, but I I gotta get paid they'll give him some sort of incentives debt. And then if he doesn't want to do it to say, okay. Okay. See here's the thing. When you play great team. And I think I don't mean kinda gets this look like more money. Absolutely. Who doesn't but he understands being on the patriots. We now everyone knows Julian adamant is right. If he was playing Scajola eleven brand, right? I don't think the dude from Tampa Humphrey Humphreys has a brand or anyone knows who the hell he is Oliver day help or whatever is number. I think this is like Dak Prescott is gonna see this going forward the contract if he wants to break the Bank. Go ahead, if he's smart he says, I'll take plenty of money. I'll leave some on the table. So that we are constantly contending because being. Dallas Cowboys you can turn that into a lot of money. Julian Edelman, I mean, you don't think he can partly what he's done with the patriots into making more money after he retired looks while TV. TV doing whatever he wants. He'll be an actress whatever he wants to be. He's smart enough to understand that I get that. He understands the value of being on the patriots. That's kind of a smart guy. And he goes them says I deserve more money. I think they're amenable to saying we'll we'll put we'll put some incentives not. But again like you said step giving away money signed the contract to contract, and they they look at it and say tough bleed signed it..
