"Dylan. Hello thank you so much for joining me today. I am so excited to talk with you. And i thought we would start sort of chronologically. I mean what is time now in this pandemic but let's go back recently and twenty. Nineteen you received your bfa in theater for youth. And i want to know why you pursued that degree so in in may of twenty nine nineteen. I graduated with a degree in theatre for youth from east carolina university and i originally went to school thinking that college was going to be a shark. Cooter board of educational opportunities where i could take a class in and then day and then take a class in stage combat and anything that piqued my interest and to an extent. I made college that experience. I did take classes. That were outside of my major. But initially i started thinking i wanted to study the arts education. Get my bfa theater arts education. So i narrowed it down to schools in north carolina because i'm north carolina born and raised. That had that program so i narrowed it down. There may be a few others in state but i narrowed it down to east carolina Unc greens borough and unc charlotte and did a senior in high school thing where i toured those campuses and really got stuck in the mud on. I wasn't sure if east carolina or unc greensboro campus. For me i also was really interested in. Stow keeping acting as a as a main part of my life As a big part of my life. And so i was interested in issues professional acting program when i got to east carolina. Which was the school that i decided upon. I very quickly was cast in a production of the little prince and l. in la that was within just the first few weeks of being there.

Georgia-Based Innovation Lab Works to Speed the Transition to Clean Transportation

"Curiosity lab and peachtree corners. Georgia companies are testing new transportation technologies. For example. you can summon an electric scooter and it will roll up riderless and ready for you to hop on. Think uber but for an scooter. You pull up. You call it. The east cooter drives to you. Brandon brandon is chief technology officer for the city of peachtree corners which owns curiosity lap. The lab is located within technology park and allows companies free of charge to see how their products perform a real world setting. The property includes a one and a half mile stretch of road. That's used at the test. Track for technologies like the scooters and self driving electric shuttles and now part of the track is a solar road it's embedded with solar panels. That people can walk in drive on and they've here right on top of the roadway. So you don't have to bust up. The asphalt random says the manufacturer is evaluating. How the solar road performed with pedestrians bikes and cars and changing weather. Conditions can hold up on a roadway. What happens when it gets really hot. What happens when it rains. The data that companies gather at curiosity lab can help improve emerging technologies and that can help speed the transition to cleaner transportation

"Everybody here, Um, was the quarterback that third overall instead of Jeffrey Cooter to choose, Um, but he's out now on dit Looks like you know, that puts Miami their planes the Steelers, but I'm a little bit honestly afraid or fearful. With the Browns. You know, it looked like they were a lock and everybody knows they were my team this year. I love what Baker Mayfield is done. But you know, coming in the last game of the game of the season, and the covert really has affected A lot of teams to come down to the end. And it still makes it an interesting weekend of football, though, but no, I'm with you. Who do you see? As a team on the outside looking in you. Do you think it's Miami? They come up short. Yeah. You know what, Mac? To me? That's the coolest thing about like this weekend is is I mean, there's gonna be a really good team sitting at home this year. And it sucks for them. But, you know, don't tell me that this week doesn't mean anything. You know what I mean? There's there's going to be there's gonna be a really good team sitting at home, and that's what really stinks. I mean, you're talking about Mac. The chance of In 11 win team in the A F. C sitting at home. I mean, that's that's crazy when you think about it, right. So you know what? I've got my eye. I've got my doubts about. You know what's going on with the Rams in particular that you know the quarterback situation is incredible. I'm not gonna dog your browns. I'm just not, you know, Have I had some concerns about them during the course of the Earth? Yeah, I have. But they're 10 and five and they're paying. You know they're they're taking on the Mason Rudolph lead Steelers. So you know, I kind of like the brownies. Chances there. You know, the Steelers have been faltering, but they kind of found their mojo again last week against Indianapolis and get got a much needed win. But Um to me, Mac usually week. 17 is such a male in with this extra playoff this year. It's just isn't and that's what kinda has me jacked up for this weekend and how it might transpire. Well, it's you know, shot. It's like you said that. And you know what it is about the Browns is because it Z this bit of lions. That should be us. We should be that team that we should be worried about talking tonight. About tomorrow..

How Blogging Strengthens Your Business with Mike Allton

"But i want to get into some of the the the media side of things here and talk a little bit about blogging specifically content creation memo. We started blogging. I wanna get into like the value of it in. What's the importance of it. She someone out there who's an entrepreneur and building their business. What's the value of you can slice it how you want blogging. Where are the creation. What is the value there behind. That i love this question. Because there's there's a lot of nuance here the that we can dig into so for those of you listening. You probably have some social profiles. You've probably created some content for social media. You maybe haven't criticism much content for your web property itself and to your point you might be wondering as a listener do i even really need to create content on my website today and unfortunately the answer is very much. Yes it's an emphatic. Yes and i send. Fortunately because i know not everybody likes to right. I'm kind of blessed in a little bit freakish in that regard where i love to write. I'm really good at writing. Does probably where. That blogging brute. Nomenclature comes from is that i can blog super fast. I can write really really fast now. Writing stealing kind of contents. That exists out there you gain creates video content. You grow your content which is a large part of what we're doing right now rights but that's not the best converting content write. We can publish all kinds of video content onto youtube and we can create audio content on podcasts and you can create visual content for social media but ultimately if we wanna make money that content has to drive people to a website and wants to on the website. People need to read. They have to read so whether it's a landing page or a blog post or an article on ethic your white paper is lots of written content out there in terms of types but is all written so we have to be able to write and so do you have to blog in the traditional sense. No you don't you don't have to create that kind of regular reverse chronologically published content if you don't want to if that doesn't make sense for your business or your audience but you're going to have to write. This is why in hanley rid wrote the book everybody rights because we all right whether we want to or not but we all can right which is the other nuance of what she was saying. And the the the dual meaning behind the title that particular book. Everybody has to write but everybody can rights so one thing that i teach. People often is if you're thinking about writing in terms of creating a reports like you might have for college or an assignment of some kind where you acted to teach. These things in all has to be well researched and that sort of thing that may be. What's tripping you up right. I've been helping stephanie. For instance with her writing since we first met and she's a fantastic writer. She didn't know it because she was getting caught up and challenged by preconceived notions of what that writing should look like and when i started talking to her over a year ago about hey if you just right the way you talk if you just share with me in writing form the same way that you share with me in video or face to face. It'll be just as good if not better. That kinda cooter in an open a lightbulb moment in her mind and now she writes. She writes really really well. She communicates well now. She maybe doesn't publish articles as often. Maybe some of the writing is in email which is another great place to put written content. That's going to drive business results. So i would encourage you. Who are listening to rethink how you want to right now. You wanna communicate information about yourself about your business about your customers your industry and try to frame that in a sense that what i wanna do is share with you in written form the same thing that i share with you verbally or via video

"Country do we live in? Is this the USA with Sena would be island is subdued, No heavily armed militia members and tactical gear in camouflage. Just a handful of side arms and a few don't tread on me Flags. Some of the language was less subdued, though you always want to allow police to do their job. But this is why we have the Second Amendment because sometimes things fall apart. That's Joey Gibson, another speaker. At the rally, He leads the far right group Patriot Prayer, whose members have often brawled with left wing activists in Portland. One of his followers were shot to death during a protest there in August, and Gibson wouldn't commit to his followers staying away from the polls. I would say everyone should watch the polls closely right or left. The thing is Even if you make this about reverse left, But we need to just not trust the people in control and after election Day if it's obvious that Trump had won and they're trying to delay Trying to stop people in silence People from saying that he had won, then we're definitely going to make a lot of noise in terms of declaring that he had won. That is exactly what a lot of experts are worried about the potential for followers of these far right groups to show up to the polls with guns. I'm worried that at least in some cases, those situations could easily escalate into violence. That's Amy Cooter, a professor of Vanderbilt University. She studies militias and has seen some alarming chatter in the run up to the election. She says that voter intimidation is a real threat, especially in places where the majority of the armed folks are white majority of the voters potential voters. Our black given a long history in this country of white men, specifically using firearms to control what community is and simulated control, voting as well and that potential maybe heightened by President Donald Trump, continually undermining the integrity of the election. Bring my supporters to go into the polls and watch very carefully because that's what has to happen. That's Trump firms debate with former Vice President Joe Biden in September. He also called on the xenophobic group, the proud boys to quote, stand back and stand by which many took his tacit support directly from the White House. Since then, some far right leaders have explicitly called remembers to show up armed polling places. Including the leader of the national militia movement, Oath keepers, and it's already happening to people dressed as security guards and armed with handguns showed up in early voting site in Florida last week. But states can crack down on these groups. There is no authority under federal or state law for private groups of individuals to arm themselves organized together and project authority to direct others. That's Mary McCord, a former federal prosecutor who leads the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy at Georgetown Law. McCord points out that every state bar's private militias from acting like the military, but police rarely challenged militia gatherings. So many black lives matter. Protesters have been tear gassed and arrested. She says. Law enforcement has let militias hide behind the Second Amendment caused a mythology about the Second Amendment is so wide and so pervasive, believing that they have a constitutional right to do this. So McCord sent letters to a number of cities urging leaders to enforce the laws on the books. She says she's got a mixed response, but is hopeful that even the threat of legal action may give armed activists pause. He's also published a guide from voters on how to protect the rights of polling places, and that's one thing McCord and other experts stress. Despite the concerns, they urge people to vote. The busty antidote to any type of intimidation is to come out in massive numbers, and we are already seeing that in early voting, but the worries go long past November, 3rd Former homeland security official, Daryl Johnson thinks far right groups could cause unrest for awhile, especially with the final election results potentially taking weeks. It's kind of a bleak scenario. I'm I'm an optimist by nature, but I tell you, this is just such a unique set of circumstances. Johnson spent 25 years monitoring domestic extremism for the federal government and wrote a report in 2009 warning of the rising threat of far right groups. We're in a period of heightened risk right now, when it comes to political violence, given the rise of these girls Groups. The recruitment radicalisation has been ongoing for the past 11 years. At least, the Washington rally is a good example of how these groups have become part of mainstream politics in many places. Republican gubernatorial candidate for Washington had a booth there, and the GOP congressional candidate spoke. Patriot Movement leaders have even running for office themselves, often with the full backing of the GOP. Given all that, Johnson says. It doesn't matter whether Republican or Democrats in power because we're in for more of the same for the foreseeable future. Back.

Americans and the right to vote: Why it's not easy for everyone to cast a ballot

"A conspiracy theory. Grow this large this quickly and be so divorced from reality. It basically goes like this. President Trump is terrified he's going to lose the election. And he's going to use the Postal Service to try to limit mail in voting as much as possible to in effect, disenfranchised Democrats and steal the race, just as he did with Russian interference in 2016. This conspiracy theory, however, has perhaps even less evidence than the Russia collusion theory. Over the next 15 to 20 minutes. We will systematically debunk this most ridiculous conspiracy theory. Way are not going to allow the president of the United States to dismantle the United States Post office and undermine the possibility that absentee votes could be used in the next election. And he also wants to do everything you can Two stirred out and the results of an election he thinks he's going to lose. So why do Republicans stand behind a Z attacks the most popular institution in the United States government? I don't understand why the president wants to block funding for the post office in order to prevent people from voting. That doesn't seem fair or right or leading. It doesn't seem like it is going to steal a lot of confidence among voters that their ballots are going to be counted right Once you start to realize that your entire states conduct elections with mail in ballots once you realize the history of the Postal Service is incredible Accomplishments, you know and how it's a backbone for the country. You know, you understand the stakes of what's going on here. You mentioned Republican leaders as well. Carl isn't this about moral bankruptcy of the Republican Party Democrats, aided by their allies in the left leaning media, been accusing President Trump of trying to rig the election by interfering with the United States Postal Service in an effort to have her mail in voting, But the simple truth is that there's no truth to this claim whatsoever. In May, a scathing report by the Government Accountability Office confirmed what's been widely known for more than a decade. The Postal Service is in deep, deep financial trouble since it's designated as an independent agency. It's not funded by tax money, but rather expected to support itself through the fees it charges for using its service. But as technology has made email and messaging communication far easier, and competitors such as FedEx, ups and Amazon have eaten into the post office's package delivery service, fewer and fewer people are paying to send mail. This has been a big and worsening problem. Since 2009 when the O designated the USPS as being at risk for fiscal insolvency, as it wrote in the report issued in May. Since Geo's 2009 high risk designation, the postal Services financial viability is progressively worsened due to declining mail volume. Increased employee compensation and benefit costs. An increased unfunded liabilities and debt. First class mail volume has declined 44% since fiscal year 2006. Additionally, employee compensation and benefits costs have been increasing, although the Postal Service's workforce declined from about 786,000 in fiscal year 2007. To about 617,000 In fiscal year 2013. The USPS is workforce increased to about 630,000 in fiscal year 2019. Finally, total unfunded liabilities and debt continue their steady upward trend. Now, this has resulted in the post office, losing roughly 78 $1,000,000 from 2007 to 2019. Senator Barack Obama recognize this way back in 2008 while he was campaigning for president, if you think about it Ups and FedEx. They're doing just fine. It's it's the post office is always a problem. When President Obama took office, his administration attempted to ease the financial crush on the post office by altering collection routes in removing mailboxes that simply weren't being used. In the past 20 years, The Washington Post reported. Back in 9 202,000 mail boxes have vanished from city streets, rural routes in suburban neighborhoods Mohr than the 175,000 that remain. Between 2011 and 2016 The Obama administration ordered an additional 14,000 mailboxes removed because they were underperforming, which the Post office defines his collecting fewer than 25 pieces of mail per day. This routine elimination of mailboxes to consolidate mail collection and keep operational costs down has continued since President Trump was inaugurated in 2017. But now President Obama and his vice president Joe Biden, are casting this as an attempt by Trump to keep people from voting. By mail as president, Obama told his former advisor David Plouffe, on a podcast this past week. What we've never seen before, is President say, I'm goingto tryto actively kneecap the Postal Service encourage voting and I will be explicit about the reason I'm doing the postmaster general said, would delay the approaching liquidity crisis. That was all the aid for the Postal Service in the cares act completely. Separately, The bill also gave $400 million to something called the Election Assistance Commission for distribution to states to prevent, prepare for and respond to Corona virus domestically or internationally for the 2020 federal election cycle. This, however, wasn't enough for Democrats and they're now demanding a $25 billion bailout for the post office in the next round of Corona virus relief funding, as well as $3.5 billion earmarked for mail and voting on Fox Business Network President Trump said. Well, that was simply too much. You know, there's nothing wrong with getting out and voting. You get out and vote. They voted during World War one and World War two. They should have voter ID because the Democrats scammed the system, but it's two of the items are the post Office and the 3.5 $1,000,000,000 The mail and voting Now, if we don't make a deal, that means you don't get the money. That means they can't have Universal mail in voting that just can't have it. So you know, crazy will be many more just nature. Now Democrats have interpreted this, says Trump, admitting he's deliberately trying to sabotage mail in voting by preventing the passage of desperately needed funding for it. But this claim to falters under the way to the fact of the post office can already handle the expected flood of mailed ballots this November. According to the Postal Service's annual report. In fiscal year 2019 USPS handled 142.5 1,000,000,000 pieces of mail on a typical day, the report notes are 633,000 employees physically process and deliver 471 male pieces to nearly 160 million delivery points. Now this year, That number is higher because the Postal Service has been delivering stimulus checks as well, A census forms now those alone added about 450 million additional pieces of mail. In 2016 roughly 136 million Americans voted in the presidential election. The number's probably going to be a little bit higher this year. If official set ballots to every single American who's registered to vote. That's about 158 million people, and then 140 million people returned ballots. The roughly 298 million pieces of mail handled over the course of several weeks would be well within the Postal Service's ability to handle them all. Now. Officials, of course, won't send a ballot to every American who's registered to vote, and not every voter will vote This too. His false. The changes were ordered to streamline mail collection and limit mail carrier overtime costs, which top $1 billion per year, as the Washington Times reported. In the past, postal delivery worked this way Ah, worker would arrive in the morning and work on various things in the office. Sorting mail handling holds on mail waiting for incoming mail to arrive. To prepare for delivery that often involved waiting around for hours and then starting an actual delivery route later in the day once started, a route has to be finished, and that involved workers going into overtime as they delivered through their route as evening approached. Did. Joyce plan, which is now being implemented in a pilot program in about 200 cities is called expedited to ST Afternoon Sort. A Shin or esa es un during a worker will arrive in the morning. Collect all the mail that was ready to go out and head out for delivery. It's known as retrieve load and go. Then, after finishing the delivery route, the carrier would return to the office and do in the afternoon. The office work that used to be done in the morning that way, when the end of his or her shift arrived, That would be the end of the workday. No overtime would be incurred. Mail that arrived to the office in the afternoon. While the carrier was doing office work would be delivered in the next morning's route. It would be ready and waiting with the carrier arrived for retrieve load and go. The effect to customers would be that mail was delivered to the office in the afternoon. It would be delivered the next morning. Instead of that evening, the effect of the Postal Service would be to save an enormous amount of money in overtime costs, streamlining operations and making the postal service more effective. However, this has been cast as mail carriers simply leaving pieces of mail, especially mailed in ballots on the floor for days. For weeks at a time. There's no evidence to support this baseless allegation. Justus. There's no evidence to support the notion that the Trump Administration has been removing mailboxes or mail sorting machines in an effort to a happier mail in voting. Mail in voting might be impacted by not but not by postal service operations but rather by individual state laws, which make mail in voting cumbersome, especially in New York, where a congressional primary conducted at the end of June still doesn't have a declared winner by the middle of August. The Postal Service, in other words, can easily handle mailed in balance. It doesn't need a $25 billion bailout, and it doesn't need $3.5 billion on top of the $400 million that has already been earmarked specifically for mail in voting. The Postal Service will remain fiscally solvent at least until the end of 2021 but efforts to change it efforts listening to the Dan O'Donnell show. What struck me about all of this is is not just how Democrats have have Done exactly what they're accusing Republicans of doing Have you seen the freak out over the conspiracy theorists, the cue and non believers for those who are not familiar with what Q. And on is it's ah, far right conspiracy theory that posits that President Trump is working behind the scenes to bust the secret cob. All of Pedophiles led by Hillary Clinton and John Podesta, and pretty much every celebrity that you've ever heard off. There's no actual evidence for it, of course, but because a number of Q and on believers and one Republican primaries, it's being hold. My goodness, This is the worst thing that ever happened to mainstream politics. We've got conspiracy theory believers. There's no conspiracy less founded on actual evidence than this post office nonsense. In fact, I've seen pictures on the Internet that have been circulated. Now Twitter and Facebook have done their level best to try to make sure that misinformation about elections nothing that could undermine faith in elections is allowed on their platforms, except for these pictures of mailboxes in Wisconsin. Of all places. That are piled up. They've been taken off the streets. Trump doesn't want you to be ableto Drop your piece of mail in a mailbox. Well, what these pictures Don't point out is these are piled up. Sure, at a facility that refurbishes the mail boxes to put them back on the streets. It's always got a stack of mail boxes outside because it's working on them. Refurbish them, then this idea that sorting machines and mail boxes have been ripped off of the streets in the last couple of months so that we can vote by mail is nonsensical. Unless you're willing to tell me. That Barack Obama and Joe Biden, who saw over 2011 and 2016 5 years. The removal of 14,000 mailboxes and 200,000 mailboxes removed in the years before that. Unless you're willing to tell me that they're part of the conspiracy. You're almost forced to admit that there is simply no evidence behind this, but what's remarkable to me? Is how quickly this became mainstream and it got me thinking. Well, wait a second. Wait a second. Wait a second. If Joe Biden is up by as much as the polls suggest he is 10 to 12 points. Why would Democrats suddenly be trying to cast doubt on an election? Right? Wasn't this Almost exactly four years ago. What President Trump was supposedly doing August of 2016 when the first reports on the eve of the Democratic National Convention about election hacks and Russian interference, and all of this started coming out. President Trump's first said that he was worried that the election might be rigged. You might remember President Obama rose Garden press conference said. How would you even rig the presidential election? Donald Trump is whining about losing an election that hasn't even happened yet. The idea was that Trump was going to cast doubt on the legitimate legitimacy of the election because he knew he was going to lose. Remember the pole similarly showed him down 10 15 points. He had no chance of beating Hillary Clinton. So he was preemptively whining about the fact that Clinton and her cronies we're going to use massive vote fraud to cheat. Why are Democrats doing this? When their candidate is up 10 points. Maybe it has something to do. With this. A new CNN poll finds that 50% of registered voters back the Biden Harris presidential ticket. While 46% say they support Trump and Pence right at the polls, margin of error plus or minus 4% points. There's a new CNN poll. Across 15 battleground states. Biden has the backing of 49% of registered voters while Trump lands at 48%. In other words, that massive lead doesn't actually

"You have any a hamster? Damn take! Take only covers takes I. Had I'll keep it very brief I actually thought CBS did a really good job with rahm coming down the stretch? I do want to say I think this might be unpopular opinion. I think dottie pepper better I think. She's finding a straddling more I think she's not trying to do the the standup comedy routine anymore I think it's just being very. She's. She's given a lot more. Specifics on just like. Here's the golf shot and here's how it's going to play and. I find her very like very helpful in in a lot more instances. What I did not find helpful was when they go to weather delay. and. It's I at at the time that this happened. I was just looking at photos of people forget Roger. Maltbie was the inaugural champion at the memorial tournament, so I'm just getting wistful look, and all these old cool pictures of Roger Maltbie and the cat is tournaments been around for so long. It's got so many cool winters. All, right, we're in weather delay. We're GONNA. Throw it to a replay and in my head I'm like Oh, the cats, one here one hundred sixty five times like maybe we watch who has shootout with furic one year I think right, or maybe if you're one one year. One your own out from the bunker right on eighteen or something like that Paul as and your hotel from the bunker one year, but continued anyway listen. There's a lot of cool share point. Yeah, show will remember it a lot of cool stuff. Who'd they put up. machoocher versus Kevin Chappell in two thousand, thirteen and Kyle Stan Kyle Stanley to a much lesser extent he was. He was further back to back when they cut off off the cuff. Well, he finished. He finished further back, but. I don't WanNa Watch that. Get that Shit. Get that away for me like I know. This is the opposite of what I want to watch and that speaks. I'm massively projecting I'm sorry I'm going over my hamster. Let's let's let's those two cooter solid like these these people will watch it, and no is just like all right. Let's sit around and think like what are these people wanna see right now and I would think nine out of ten households would be like. Do just show me the cats greatest hits man. Me something cool like here's truly among the most vanilla tournaments we could possibly think from the last seven years here you go enjoy, and that was immediately like all right. I'm going to turn off the TV, and like they got lucky with all turn on my alerts, and like maybe I'll come back when the coverage comes back, but like I'm not absolutely not doing this. "And normally is lucky to make two hundred a day. But that's on us for placing expectations on people that we shouldn't do all is not on us. It's not you know, what it's called. It's called empathy. It's called actually understanding the trials and tribulations that the other human beings on the earth go through and not being disconnected from that galled. You're not wrong. But when Matt cooter he can say that I was. A man of my word in the deal that we made is that like you. Yes. He didn't. Exactly, right. It reneged on a deal. It's not like earth does getting fifty thousand dollars and then give it to them. And again, this is what it comes back to Twitter doesn't it say hold on? Then what does it say? When you then you stayed up and go I want to treat people the way that I would wanna be treated. That's not tell you what you did the deal by the letter of the law. But it is what you did is what you did in line with that saying as well when you take into consideration. The other person's like you say that. And then you go, you you have to understand what putting the shoe on the other foot is you have to understand that. And if you're that disconnected like, this is where people also get confused like how can you say this dude is phony and not a nice because he is a nice guy because he really is. He looked this this situation Shuki up this shook him up bad and has he'll shape as good. 'cause I legitimately don't think he thinks he did anything wrong because he doesn't he agreed to a deal any honored it. And then this this guy, the caddy, I assume this all speculation mentioned this to someone else another caddy or someone else. And it was that person that was offended by coocher was by by the actions. And here's how it went down. This the other thing people have to understand is that the caddy was not the one who came at who came out was like yo this dude only give me five dollars. So it wasn't the caddy and. Gatekeepers. Oh, it's so hard because one of throw something else out there again when Matt says this is the first time of ever done something like this. No, this is the first time ever being obliquely come out their data caddy has been short or that this kind of perception come out again. It's a did you do everything by the letter of the law? Yes. But is that right? Now, just because other stuff hasn't come out. And you can be like, oh, I sleep good at night doesn't mean that. "Is up to ten percent, then do better than zero point zero zero three percent my being fair to Matt cooter. No. And I'm going to get crushed for this. But this is how I feel about the situation. Matt Kuchar went down to Cancun Mak cooter had to find a caddy familiar with the course in Mexico, Matt Kuchar found that guy struck a deal ahead of time. Like, a great business person with dill, and he was locked into a fee for this guy. No matter where he finished in in that golf tournament. Now, maybe his caddy gave him excellent advice, but Matt Kuchar excelled and won that tournament. So his winnings versus what he paid him looks to be a huge huge discrepancy. When we consider the ten percent customary amount. But let's not let let's not be forgotten here. Matt Kuchar made a great businesses in by hiring. This guy at a rate ahead of time. And now we're going to kill him on the back end because he just won a ton of money. I don't I don't. Feel bad. Now, I will say this one hundred thirty thousand dollars would have changed that caddies life down there in Mexico. I'm certain about that. And and five Graham was probably pretty good. But but I don't feel bad. I mean, I'm with Matt Cooper. Here. You struck this deal with me? Now, we're going to honor the deal, and I'm gonna pay you what we agreed upon. I cannot crush Matt Kuchar for this. Okay. So the the Matt Kuchar did offer up to an additional fifteen before he left Mexico. That's the way it's understood here that would have made the gratuity the tip percentage. One and a half percent at twenty grand. That's that's what that would have been is one and a half percent. It's customary up. It's. It's five times what they agreed upon before. So so there are two things here one. I think that the caddy should have the here's the my belief system outside looking in. Listen, none of us know, the there's there's we don't know the details going off of what we're reading. There's the Matt Kuchar story. There is the story of the catty David Ortiz and then somewhere in the middle. There's the truth. Right. So you get one version another version and the truth, which you know, they probably both. No. But we're getting two different version. So if we do that now, I'm thinking back on it. Now, I think the caddy probably got a little, greedy. When the when the offer went up to twenty somebody was Chirpin in his year. No, dude. You should get one hundred twenty Nado any and. Okay. I'm gonna get the to get more than this and turn down the twenty. Let me throw something to you might now players they signed deals with their with their agents on contract fees and whatnot. And I can't remember there was one year where I didn't have a whole lot to negotiate about. So I just talked age. And I said, hey, are you okay? With me paying you five grand for the year, a flat fee. We'll see how this works out. There's not a whole lot to negotiate. So let are you? Okay. With a flat fee this year versus three percent of my salary, which is customary in the NFL. So that was far below the three percent. And he accepted. He said yes now, let's say the Packers wanted to all of a sudden that year. Sinan deal and re-sign me for or renegotiate deal for a ton of money..

Quarterback. Coordinator with Detroit. He's now the running back in New York with the New York Jets. I just think he's got the best name of all coaches. Could you not play hard for Jim Bob cooter Zimbabwe came out of nowhere? And they gave him the the OC job with the lion in Stafford regressed last year that he took the blame for that one. Jim Bob had any sisters. And when I don't know a ninth grader, maybe a sophomore came over to the cooter residence and was greeted at the front door by presumably dad cooter and wonder if that young ninth graders software at that point said Hello, Mr. cooter. Hello miss. This cooter is Carly home. You know, it just it's just a funny. It is funny. Name MRs cooter. Then you throw Jim Bob on it as well. Yeah. All around. It's a funny name so Carly probably had a middle name to the she used. It's a better name for a guy. Then a girl. What you think about it's not, you know, not making fun of his last name. But it really that's a tough one. You get through. Last name is scooter never got Joe, Don looney great running back for the university of Oklahoma and dry. I think a draft choice of the colts. And I believe a first round, right? He plays in the NFL. Yeah. I always thought that was a cool name T was a although completely a wild, man. But a stud athlete did he he didn't last very long. I don't think in the NFL. He basically rejected constructive criticism as we like to say, aka coaching. And so that was the end of that was it that was it. Speaking of weird name, Dave since you brought it up. I got a story about a Canadian man who tried to get vanity plates with his last name. In his last name is asked man. S S. I'm not making this up. Seinfeld. That happened on Seinfeld. Actually, his name is Osmond. Well, he spells it man what a S M A, N Osmond. No A S S M A N. Okay. You think that you think he no he pronounces it Osman? But spells it asked man, so they wouldn't give him the clay. Yeah. Fighting fighting his request got rejected the people by the Canadian government. He said, it's my last name of always had it. I'm not ashamed of it. There's nothing bad about it. And then the government said, even if a word is someone's name at pronounce differently than the offensive version. That's not something that would be apparent to other motorists. Yes. Yeah. I get it. But the fact that he's willing to spend significant amounts of money to try to fight. This don't you just at some point. We've lost her ability to sort of step back into when we will. We hear something we don't like or, you know, a verdict is rendered that we disagree with. We can't we just don't accept it. We say all right. I don't like it. But I'll move on. We'd never move on anymore. We have to go fight it till the death. Everything's a fight yet lawyers. He lawyered up, and I was thinking when you were talking about Joe Bob cooter. I bet if he tried Jim Bob cooter. Was he was a cousin? Let's let's get this right. Get personalized place that said cooder, they probably wouldn't let him. I you know, it probably wouldn't give them the plate. Yeah. I I mean, I don't know. We're we're the we're the last name because last name sort of come somewhere come from somewhere right in terms of lineage and heritage. And I don't know where cooter what is that? Is that is that an Scottish Irish arrived? What from what do you think working from we turn to you when Rick and I can't come up with an answer? Yeah. I think it's cooter Berg, and they shorten it at Ellis Island cooter. What what was what nationality would that? Be Dutch Dutch Burke, hooter Austrian about Kuruman, maybe cooter men, actually. Play devil's advocate for a minute. Why if your last name was Kuruman, why would you shorten it to cooter, you get an impatient? Personnel as islands. This is America. Let's go shorter. Got it. Okay. That episode of Seinfeld though, Kramer gets the wrong vanity plates, and it comes as Asman. And then he finds a proctology who had his boat and ain't Medicare this, man. Yeah. I remember that. But this is this really is happening. This is not a fake news story. We should follow the story to see how much money he spends fighting this fighting the government is what I'm going to be expensive. And he says they have no right to keep him from putting his last name on his plate. It's his last name. So here's the deal. So he goes through all of the various levels of of courts and the appeals and all that. And at the end the supreme court of Yousef candidate, right? Yes. They rule in his favor. So he gets to ride around with the plate. That says asked men cost him one hundred forty seven thousand dollars. I mean. How's that a win? Is that a win? It's the little things in life. You know, when someone says you can't put your name on your license plate. Yeah. You got to put your foot down a hundred and forty seven thousand dollars Debbie higher. I care way. Alo- rick. Like what I was doing. Oh my God. I can't believe you're so shocked. I'm not I'm not I I think you're absolutely right. I just think that I saw such party God. All right. So so yes. So when when you're old enough to give them access to the don't that is the internet. So twelve is that when you think of cellphone is good Mike kid has got a cell phone at eleven because he walks to school. I had to be we'll talk about those remember, right? But I he doesn't have social media like, but of course, the internet is wide open for his viewing plaza. I knew you were going there. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So of course, although I don't think my child would ever do such a thing. Obviously, my child would do such a thing. Can we one day take calls on parents who were never mind? That's in preparation. Well, yeah. Tell me afterwards and we'll slate. Okay. Yeah. Yep. Yep. I sure I just keep getting all these grand ideas at the new season. I am just ready to do so many things we're excited, and it's good. But yeah. But yeah, absolutely. I think that my husband says it to me all the time. He's like, you think that we argue over my oldest son all the time. He's like you think he's perfect. You can do. No wrong. He absolutely. Can. He absolutely. Will you need to be prepared for it? He is a boy going through puberty. He's probably looking at booby pictures. And then some of my sold is. And then I'm like, I know you're right. You're right. You're right because they are and they explore in. The the scary part is the world we live in where the internet has the availability for them to see those things, and that's the crap out of you. You can even accidentally end up there. I did the other day. Quick story before we move on. We had to Google. We were looking at my father-in-law's turtles. This sounds weird. But let me explain my father-in-law. My father-in-law has seven or eight turtles that we've recently been babysitting for him. He is getting ready to ship them on an airplane because they moved and the you have to file the type genus of the turtle. Okay, genus. Yes. Well, my my my father-in-law's turtles are Cougars. That's type of turtle. It's a cooter. And when you Google cooter are there things pop up clearly, and although and of course, my father-in-law the entire time is like key just type cooter type cooter into it. The internet to see what type of cooter it is. And I'm like, I stopped seeing cooter for said the word cooter, but here, so then I'm like cooter plus turtle because and then he gets really weird stuff that comes up, but the point is yes. With an innocent cooter. Search you can find some other things because we were actually looking for. But if you Google cooter turtle. What ups up you will get some pictures of turtles? But then you'll also get some downstairs parts that have interesting tattoos. They look like turtle. Yeah. So the point is, and so my son is sitting here looking at this. And he's like what is this that I'm like look away. So. Yeah. And then I got to have that conversation. My father-in-law. So how about we go into segment three? That's a good idea. Yeah. Now's a good time. Yep. I think go right ahead Levin. Marriage is brought to you by Meredith. An I because we are perfect and spectacular wives. Yes. We are me, especially. Yeah. I'm a pretty crappy wife on the daily. Why are you nodding, Dave? Yeah. I'm just getting. Yeah. No. I am. I am. I don't listen very well. I have to work on my communication skills. I think know or my listening skills. I talk a lot. It's not my communication. You're great at communicating. Yeah. It's my listening skills. Right. We're working on that. All right. So why don't you promote your upcoming show? Okay. We're so excited about this. I've got some live shows coming up February twentieth. I'm going to be in San Antonio, February twenty-second I'm going to be in Joliet. Illinois, February twenty third Saint Louis Missouri,.

Sam Darnold is giving Jets fans hope

"Talked about the jets on Wednesday show, and, and all of a sudden there's hope has walked in the room and Sam darnold looked so great. Against the lions and that defense. And this is what we're start. We'll start with the jets west. The defense to me, Todd Bowles has been there. This is his fourth year, but have we ever really seen the jets have a identity on defense since he's been there? I would say no. But that defense against the lines looked like an I t with an identity, fast, aggressive young, and that. Got you excited almost as much as Sam darnold playing. Well,
