"Him dot today and you're having coffee with Conrad of Conrad Rocks Dot net you know another person that had some bad s Collagen bad theologies the apostle. Paul. Think about it. He wrote two thirds of the New Testament he we read him today. But how did that come about if you remember Paul was a top theologian He sat at the feet of Gamliel and he was the big guy at the time and people learn from him and we also know that Paul before his road to Damascus encounter. This top theologian was persecuting Christians because he didn't believe. Jesus. Was the Messiah. He was doing things contrary to Jesus. In listen to what Jesus says here in John Sixteen. These things I have spoken on you speak into his disciples that you should not be offended. Will put you out of the synagogues gay the time come with the WHO so ever kill if you will think that he do with God service in these things, they will do unto you because they have not known the father nor me Now we know that the Jews were putting Christians out of the synagogues anybody to confess Christ was going to get kicked out of the synagogue. In Paul was one of those who was killing the disciples of Jesus. Remember he was consenting to the stoning of Stephen Right and he thought he was doing God service. Notice that Jesus says, they'll do these things. Because they don't know the father in this is why I'm saying you bought this why I always say you've got to know God in not just know about him in one of the passages that comes to mind here is how Jesus says he will manifest himself to the believer. In. John Fourteen twenty one. He then half my commandments and keep it them. He it is that love me and he that love me. She'll be loved my father and I will love him in manifest myself to him. Now, we notice that Jesus manifested himself to Paul in Acts Chapter Nine on the road to Damascus. Paul. Was Zealous for the commandments of God but he didn't know the father? In Jesus manifested himself anyway you know you notice how Paul Goes who art thou Lord isn't that interesting? He didn't know the Lore. However after this manifestation. Now,.

"The ministers will give account when they're big numbers for crisis a depart from me I never knew you. So let's Visit Matthew Seven Twenty one through twenty three first second and what does that mean in this is something that is not taught in the church because it's bad for numbers and I don't care about numbers I mean, I do I want a lot of people to get saved but you don't say people by tickling their ears you don't lie them. This is plainly in scripture and this is what it says and this is what he is referring to in Matthew seven twenty one. Listen to this guys listen to this not everyone that Sayeth, unto me. You get that not everyone this says to me. Lord. Lord. Shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven but he that do with the will of my father, which is in heaven many will say to me in that day Lord Lord have we not prophesied in nineteen? Ninety have cast out devils named on many wonderful works and then I will profess to them I never knew you depart from me you that work iniquity. So Greg is talking here about having that born again experience with the holy? Spirit. Okay, we need to have that relationship. We need to know Jesus not just know about them in notice in this passage that he was referring to. He didn't put down the scripture, but I knew what he was referring to is just Colin. Jesus. Lord with your lips does not mean he's Lord of Your Life. Amen thank you for that comment Greg Mickey Sapien West another echoing passage about the church not doing much here. This is a great a great comment the church not being the church churches spend more time on entertaining their members in their own bubble than they do getting out and ministering to those in need a man. Sounds like a comment from a missionary. Doesn't it? Amen so Entertaining remember I had that dream in here comes this comment in my dream that I talked to I was at this banquet table and I'm talking to church members I'm like, why is there an amusement park church is like we're going to the church for amusement. There's this lady called Genus Senior was at one of her meetings of about I don't know five years ago and she said something very interesting. She said you know. In the pentecostal movement that we have right now and I'm paraphrasing like all get out. So please forgive me if I. Don't get it word for word. She's like there's electric cords all throughout the House and then they've got these bare wires right? When these pentecostals they step on that bare wire and they get zapped with electricity, they jump around and they they move and they act all strange. But. The power that's going through the electric cord is designed to get things done is designed to have a vacuum cleaner work is designed to have that iron work is not designed for amusement and jumping around. So I think that fits in with Mickey Sapien wes coming here. Were more into. That fits in with the dream that I had and also the bubble. We're in our bubble. Do you know preaching as K. Russo when Joseph and I go out.

"Most of us get so busy living in this world become weaker in lazy and worldly. We allow our senses to Dole are tolerance to be raised. Before we even realize we've a threshold to be opened in Satan slivers in. So quietly utterly unnoticed in our lives are turned upside down individuals, government schools, churches, businesses. We've allowed quote political correctness unquote to cripple the world the words delivery. God's words aren't to be sugar coated edited, emitted nor softened we've watered down so much of God's word to show kindness to humans from all walks of life. As to not offend or chase them off. We do God an injustice. God said why he said in his word never changes. If one is offended by the word, why does that mean the word must be softened or omitted perhaps prayer for guidance in understanding for the offended is an order editing. God's word in my opinion is not acceptable were spoiled. We have to do better. That's an amazing comment by Angela I wanted to share that with you. and. It does seem like we're watering down. What the Bible clearly says so we can get people to come into the building. Can you imagine you know the Carinthian? Foreign Cater. Paul says, let's turn him over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh. Dude, can you imagine something like that happening in the churches today? No, we don't want to offend them. Let's leave out all this be politically correct and yeah. So that is a very good comment. It's in that facebook posts put the Lincoln the show notes Bobby, capps has a really good comment too. He. Says quote the marrying of the Church in the state, the lack of understanding about being in the world but not of the world, the thinking that being a city on a hill means voting a certain way the trusting in horses and chariots rather than the name of the Lord stuff like that. He refers to several scriptures there. It's Democrats or evil I mean that's the paradigm right. Now Democrats are evil and Republicans or Christians and you know. We're supposed to worry about the word of God we're supposed to worry about the Great Commission. And were seeming to intertwine the too. So that's a very good comment by Bob caps on facebook Elaine. Coppenhagen. Depressing problem in the body of crisis, their wicked ways this is not about individuals shortcomings. It is idolatry. The body of Christ is doing and preachers are so blind that they can't even tell the church what their wicked ways are. Now the reason I included this con- this comment. "They need to be challenged in that so I made it a point to go through people who have been tried and seasoned to know what they're talking about. Right? We need to have track records double-blinded studies that type of thing of things that work or going to end up buying snake oil right in that guy. He goes from town to and disappears and then you're out your money. And I also didn't want to take medicine. Okay, because I don't believe medicine is necessarily. God's prescription, let's put it this way guys prescription is to eat the right food in first place. Well, we messed up we found ourselves in this situation and I look back at my family members and I look back at friends that have taken blood pressure medicine and they tell you can tell by their countenance. They're not doing good. There should be a better approach and as I look back that my panoramic view from a family member's life so forth. I saw that they had a bad diet. They ain't the fried foods. They you know, my dad my uncle and they didn't do too. Well, right and then like I said, watch on Jeopardy of people with the high plant-based whole food diets, the people with the most centurions on the planet in Japan look at the way they eat so I started doing that and what these people said in order to lower blood pressure. One of the things you need to do is cut out caffeine caffeine was a huge problem with me. My podcast is called coffee. With Conrad and it started from when I when I would get to the office at 6:00 in the morning and I have to get up at 4 and I found that I was drinking a pot of coffee off by by noon all by myself. So I had to cut out caffeine. So I drastically cut out caffeine. So I looked for biblical substitution. I kind of think that maybe green team is a good substitution. Right? And I found that could actually, you know, I could function.

Remembering Chadwick Boseman

"The world is still shocked and heartbroken over the death of Black Panther Star Chadwick. He inspired millions of fans with his work while privately battling colon cancer. He died Friday at the very young age of forty three, and while we all struggle to process this news, one thing is very, very clear. Chadwick was a true hero. Settlement. There's no way back. We Sat. To me, it's always about who will you get to be on screen with you get to work with everyday. Give me beautiful. Give me a number on my back. Give. You the. There was an honor to be able to trade as man and. To be able to do something that matters. There's no reason why you would think you would. Ever, get to do a superhero movies I mean be especially as a black actor and certainly not the lead of a superhero movie. King still. Hurts. Pressure but I feel like that's the thing I like the most about today. C., kids come up and say that he's my favorite character. Chadwick's passing shock to everyone including those who knew him best like Panther Director Ryan Kugler spent the year writing Black Panther too he had. No did not seem to know that Chadwick was sick at all. It's just amazing to me how he was able to. Keep. Something like this such. A secret nobody knew how much he was suffering I think not to take away from Cherbourg for a minute, but I think when you think about celebrities and you'll think back on it there have been a lot of celebrities that I've kept their cancer diagnoses a secret. You know we just had Kelly Preston who died from breast cancer David Bowie kept his illness a secret until he died Steve Jobs same thing I think what Chadwick Bozeman really wanted to do was live his life to the fullest and he didn't want anybody to. Pity him? He wasn't that guy you know what I mean and I think that he is and will always be pitted me of strength when it comes to me because he's always had held his head high, he's always represented himself and my community in the highest regard and I just I think you'll be remembered for that for the rest of his life. I don't think he wanted people to see him go through that struggle and make the last four months of his life about the illness.

Remembering Chadwick Boseman, Best of 2020 MTV VMAs

"Welcome to daily pop. It was a difficult weekend here in Hollywood as we all learned about the tried to death of Chadwick both men are tribute to him is coming up last night he was honored at Vm as this year was definitely different but you know what? It was still one hell of a show. I truly never could have imagined that someday I would be given an award like this that honored me. For so many of my passions. Is Rough as been. There have been incredible moments of inspiration. We've seen heroes go above and beyond and with the black lives matter. Movement. We've. Seen our generation up. Hard to celebrate. So I'm going to say justice for Jacob Laken justice for Briana Taylor. Quiz. She looks good. By you by the way I was so skeptical of this via may because I? Feel like a lot of the vm as is all the little things that we catch like the jokes and like the artists, reactions to things but the performances in compromise chloe and Halle came through executed. So amazing. I. Was so impressed by them. Dolgin cat her first time performing on the stage killed. It for a first timer and Miley Cyrus I'm GonNa Bring. You guys on a train real quick. You know when you're older and you look back at all the moments that share and Madonna had and they look so different than it performed in different clothes and different looks and we thought it was legendary reliving through that with Miley Cyrus right now, she is a legend in the making. This woman, transform herself and transform herself and bring just her essence to this stage time and time. Again, she is an icon that's an extra Conrad there I appreciate it the throwback to the wrecking ball but changing it to a disco ball I was like I like this I think is good. Listen I miss the audience I missed the live in rations. This isn't how I want the show to be every year but I did thoroughly enjoy and I do think like in quarantine we were missing having a show like this something to look forward to see some live performances. So I think we're just grateful to get. Anything. I think they did the best that they could. I definitely do I think miley Cyrus looked amazing. I. tweeted that last night I disagree about the wrecking ball thing I was kind of like, okay like I want to see a different ending but she looked unbelievable there were a lot of really good performances Kiki. We all said this before the show she did an incredible job lawless Avi she really did she looked good I loved all outfit changes and I just think that they did the best that they could. So the show was entertaining but obviously, it's not. It's not what we're used to seeing. You know, of course, always miss the red carpet my it was still you know well done. There was no Napoli. Live. because. So much of it was prerecorded obviously throughout the week that there was no air. You know there was no room for awkward moments that really and you kind of love that about an award show right? You love those awkward mildly what's been Love that you'd be like there's nothing going wrong turn everything is going to be under control and. I would love that if I was hosting it but as a viewer, I, like this level up. But. Kiki back to give. A shout onto her stand an empty room. But pretend like you have an entire audience. Cheer you on is an. Insanely difficult and she brought the energy she made me feel like she was truly talking to a crowd which was one hundred. I would have done that job down and walk away from money very easily. But the thought of doing that without a crowd and holding everybody's attentions for two hours. You couldn't pay me to get on that stage. And she asked. Leslie for sure. Good job. Well, we have to talk about lady Gaga because literally. The night belonged to her, she crushed it serving up four different looks for her five acceptance speeches. She even had a different mask for each wardrobe change real quick. What did you guys think masks I thought I I. Didn't think she needed it for every outfit. I, appreciate it. It's. It's a stain the definitely a statement. It's definitely kind of it just in theme with WHO Lady Gaga is I feel like I realized after the Third Mask Oh, she's incorporating a mask and outfit but at first I was just like this lady Gaga Cheetah kind of goes forward in terms of fashion there's always that element of shock value. So I didn't even realize that she was trying to even go the route of wearing some sort of face covering our masks. So it just sort of worked but like I agree looking backwards like you didn't need one for every single outfit, but it works for her tattoos agreed. Okay. I disagree. I think you'RE GONNA make a statement and you're going to tell people to mask up and to serve your country in this way then you walk the walk and she did it I will say I love that Lady Gaga Connoisseur went from you know the meat wet dress wearing person all the way to the glamorous on who accepted that Oscar in that beautiful Valentino dress and to see her incorporate the outrageous with the classic Hollywood you saw that in each outfit looking at this unbelievable moment you. Dress you could've seen Oscar stage you could have saw the. Wearing that to the Golden Globes but she took it. She made it her own.

"Every time we come to God the same repetition we need help is a very present help in time of need. But every time I've learned in the scriptures bear this out we must come to God as we are of course, but as Believers walk with the Lord, we have a history of of time in the Lord if there's any sin in our life if there's anything that not pleased to the God we have to get rid of it. We have to get rid of it because that's just about every way in every sin that was so easily beset us to keep it from running the race talked about Persian ourselves true or find ourselves, you know, it's not just a confession on the righteousness of God in Christ. Yes you are. But if you're living in saying if you got issues there that God not pleased with that needs to be taken care of and that was about three things that God showed me that he would not pleased with okay and somebody else labor wage. Well, it's none of your business but it was it was something that was opening the door that brought that cancer into my body because when I got that taken care of at night that happened before I did my little dancing J. But before the Lord poked at me and gave me that scripture about he said to repeated answer but prior to that I had taken care of a business. I got an account. So we've got about three different issues that and you know, some people say well I don't have no sin wage, you know on the Russian guy will let me tell you what James said. He said if anybody says they don't have any saying they're liar and the truth is not in them. Yeah, we're not all that money. We're not all that. We need God's mercy anything we have a good deal described that we're made righteous. We all the righteousness of God in Christ. And that's in the scripture then I get that and I believe that God. But we also have to be aware of the fact that we are not a mortal and that that we depend on his grace and mercy every day. My wife used to say all the time and she said, you know, every time we get up in the morning, we're take a bath and get cleaned up. Well good, you know, so damn take a bath every day and every day we get up in the spirit. We need to take a bath and we need to come before the Lord their God is anything I did today or before we go to bed. The Bible says Don't Let the Sun Go Down on your wrath if you mad at something right with them we need to do the same thing with God before we go to bed at night before we go to sleep. We pay Lord. Is there anything that I've done? It's not please you did. I say am I got a grudge against anybody that I speak words that were not in line with what you want. Let the meditation of my heart in the words of my mouth including I do you mean we don't get those things straightened out, but it'll build up within the doors open the doors open in the anime. He he's the based he's wicked. He horrible Wicked. Wickets in first John 1:9, you know if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This this requires a spiritual relationship with God in you know, when we pray to when we pray to God it's not a laundry list of our petitions. It's a dialogue and I'm gonna include a link to one or two of our earlier interviews, but Gary, you know, when he prays for people one of the things that he does is says hey, do you have unforgiveness and you'd be surprised it's not really taught about in the church is from the pulpit but in the Bible it taught there talks about a sin sickness correlation. And when these people confess they get healed man in and that's the same thing the same thing that happened with you. And if you don't do that with people that don't know God, they're not Christian. They're they're they're not held accountable for their sins. The whole life is all they don't know God their children of the devil. And so that's why I got a holding their sayings against them because Jesus took him on the cross, but then after you're born again and you become a child of God and you got history of foul line is living for God for years a year and you hold grudges against people and you begin to hate people, you know over something that happened, you know, or you get into sin, you know, and don't get it taken care of don't repent of it finger held accountable you're held accountable for that same and if you don't pay that debt, and if you don't get that taken care of by the blood of Jesus will be in your payoff for the doors open, you know, is it talking about that Spirit? Jesus talked about how that Damon was cast out leaves the house, you know when he goes into the dry place of looking for a plane. To Liam in the saddle and then it comes back to that house when she came from saw that it was empty. They got seven more. Chevy morning buddy to come back. Hey, we're here. Let's have a party. So that's why we have to say it won't holding. Before. We got we can't we can't be believers. They were children of God and walking them seeing you know, I mean if you got hatred against somebody you've got to get it taken care of or it will kill you get a chance. I'm saying bring forth death. So it's just like mole and how you know, if got some role in the wall there they come in and they clean it out sterilized it they put Clorox on it wage. They make sure there is no trace of that mold there because if you don't get it all what's going to happen, you'll come back a year later and it's going to grow back because you didn't get it all you didn't it all cleaned out and that's the same way. You know that that night God showed me something in the Deep recesses that I could not say showed it to me. It showed it to me. The Bible says he tries to raise a man's part that was reading in Psalms about how he knows our hearts. He knows what's in the heart single man. He knows things that we can check and that's where we have to be still and know the guy that's where we have to be quiet. Turn the T off just go somewhere see how important it was futile and that wage have all that quiet time because then you heard from the spirit of God about something you might have been stubborn about before. Yes. Yeah. He showed it to me. See we're not all that often. We think well, I got oh man, we just have to understand without thinking we're nothing without him. We're absolutely nothing would just play on the back like David said amen. That comes in and you know, some people say well I had a weakness no, no. No, it's saying you got saying. You know it but say that that's when the Lord spoke to me and it said the dancing and danced a little bit later the bed and then that's when the middle aged men brother. Wow. Well, listen, I want to thank you for sharing your testimony about how you were resolved to just go to hospice and leave this planet to now being off of a supernatural encounter with God being healed and now he set your feet upon a rock for a purpose. He God saved you for purpose man, everybody lives in everybody listening to this podcast. He has a purpose for you. Amen. And Gary is always customary for people to.

Now you're about to hear a podcast where Gary testifies about going through a very rough season in his life. He'd recently lost his wife Nancy bought last year to cancer and he himself was recently diagnosed with cancer. He called me one day and he told me that he had stage 4 cancer and the doctors didn't give him long totally of what we're doing this podcast today because a miracle happened Gary is Alive and Well without further Ado here is a Sky Club podcast interview with evangelist Gary net. Hey everybody, this is Conrad from Conrad rocks. Net and boy. Do I have a truck for you today? Again? I've interviewed Gary Nesbitt evangelist several times on this show. But time we have something amazing. He was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and told he had six months to live and he's here to say that God had other plans. Did I get that right? Yes, we'll pull them out for the most part. I mean what what you were talking to me? And you said what did you say? Well, then it wasn't it wasn't pancreatic cancer. Totally. It was like it was growing around a front of the pancreas and down into my stomach or around the stomach and May I order order. He's all over the place. But yeah from the mass if they were looking at five of them and shifts, you know, they thought that it was pancreatic cancer, but it wasn't in the pancreas directly. Anyway, you got close. All right, and did they say did they give you a time limit? Well, I have several people several doctors, you know say different things, but from one week to a month or from now six months and because it was I was worse off than what I thought I was. And you know, I'm kind of a fighter. Anyway, I'm not wanting to go the doctor, you know, when I get a hangnail or a little toe hurts. You know, I just I didn't like going to the doctor at all, So if I end up going to a doctor at any time in my life is pretty it's pretty bad for those of you for those that haven't I heard a podcast at you and I've done before Gary is you know, some people would call him a healing evangelists season of Angel as he works on windshields and he happens to share the love of Jesus dead. But he and I I've been with you we've been to the VA hospital and you prayed for people and they got healed there's many podcasts that we did. You can look at your timeline you have videos of many testimonies of people getting healed and giving God the glory what I want to ask you is, how how did you get sick? I mean if you can pray for these people and they get Healed. How did that happen, man? Well, you know, we're all seeing the control of the glory and God all of us and we're just vessel, you know, it's just kind of a strange thing that happened after the hailing would manifested in my body and I came back to Mississippi from Arkansas. I had kind of a stomach bug, you know, not real, you know, some of the cramps and everything and I like that just got miraculously healed a terminal disease and here I am with a stomachache, you know, so I had to just stand my ground with that, you know and believe God to fix me up and he did but we just have to understand that we may Minister the power of God pray for people. We're we're still we're not Flawless. We're still fallible. We I mean my hair is getting gray. I'm losing some hair it turned off now starting to turn loose, you know, I still wear glasses, you know, I have to work last year, you know to read I get up in the morning and I don't get up as quick as I get off. was Nineteen or Twenty, you know, if I ate some greasy greasy food a lot of spicy food. I get a little indigestion. It's not like when we're dead, so he worked through the vessel to Clay right and Smith Wigglesworth he got sick. I mean he had a lot. He had the jars full of what was it? Yeah, and he was in a major happening evangelist last century. So right I can't can't even imagine he had to have the termination and Fade to push forward and minister to people because most men would have given up so I'm not going to do that because I can I do this and I'm having all these issues with kidney stones cuz I had one he had a Jar full of them. So I came home. He was one tough person. Yeah, but anyways God who does inhaling his God who gets the glory and it really what it does. It makes us Conrad just look to him, you know, the famous they always keep our eyes on him. You know, there's nothing like a little Devastation filed to get a on our knees off. Looking to God because no matter who you are. When you will get a report that you have terminal cancer is not curable and you know, you're going to be you're going to look to God.

"He fed his spirit every day pretty much all day. And if you're interested in Smith, ogle's were check out my affiliate Lincoln the show notes he's a guy that is pretty awesome to check out. Now. If we sewed the flash we, will of the flesh reap corruption. Now in probably the oldest chronological book in the Bible, we can see that job knew this principle early on. He knew not to so to his flesh by looking at something that he shouldn't in job thirty, one verse one, a made a covenant with mine is why then should I think upon a mate? So jobs says here. If you looks upon a made. He's going to think about her. You see the correlation here. Look. Thank. Jesus takes this a step further to show us that if we look at a made, we're going to think about the made and then we're probably going to commit adultery because we've already done. So in our heart, right so notice that the sewing of iniquity and our hearts in this passage it begins was something that we look at like Joe was talking about here's Matthew Chapter Five Twenty eight through thirty. But I say unto you that who so ever look at on a woman to lust after her have committed adultery with her already in his heart. And if I right I offend. Pluck it out and cast it from the Ford is profitable for the one that I member should perish and not that whole body should be cast into hell in its I right hand Effendi cutted off and cast it from Ford is profitable for the that one of the membership perish in not that whole body should be cast into hell. Now, I've talked about the chronology of sending several my podcasts, but I'm going to. Illustrate it quickly again. For New listeners I guess. If we look upon a woman to lust after her Jesus is saying is pretty much the same thing as committing adultery with her in your heart. And then Jesus shows us the chronology that if my ride I offensive notice how it's something that begins with the eyeball. He says diplock it out. And then he says, if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. So the chronology here it all starts with something you put before your face is something that you're looking at. He's basically saying it starts with the I, and then you think about it and as you think it drops down into your heart you know as a man thinks in his heart. So is he right? It begins with something that you see. So the first thing we need to do here. Is To not put that stumbling block of our iniquity before our eyeballs coney to. This is Stephen Barrett from holy fire Japan and you're listening. To, cockpit, Conrad. So we know that Jesus. By the reins of our hearts in in in Jesus speaking to the church here. In revelation chapter to read a passage, he talks about judging our hearts in keep in mind this is letters to the church. And I will kill her children with death in all the churches shall know that I, am he would search with the rains and hearts in I will give unto everyone at you according to your works that's revelation to. Twenty three. Noticed at Jesus searches the reins of the hearts in rewards us according to our works. Well, guess what? The works that we do are going to be something that comes from our heart. and. If you're catching the spiritual football that I'm throwing here, we're GonNa see that something that gets into our hearts Sartre starts with something that we put into our hearts intentional. Usually right you've heard out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. So we need to watch what we're saying. You know when we mutter like we're doing the dishes or whatever we start muttering things we need to pay attention to that dialogue because it's what's going on in our heart. We may think were just mindlessly uttering something. But it gives us a clue what we need to work on. Looking into the author of our faith. Now, we know that we're not supposed to put the stumbling block of iniquity before our face. But. What are we supposed to put in front of our face? How Jesus? Hebrews twelve to. Looking, unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy was set before him endured the cross despising shame in his set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Of course if Jesus is the author in finisher of our faith, keep in mind and author writes something. It's also the root word authority. And if we believe Jesus, we're going to believe something that he said in order to believe something that Jesus has said we have to read what he says he meant the Bible's the easiest book on the planet to get. If you're listening to this podcast, you probably have smartphone you can get one for free check it out you version we listened to it every day they're readily available. But when I think about keeping your eyes upon Jesus, this is what comes to me when I pray about I think about Peter. If, you remember the incident where Jesus was walking on the water and Peter Decides to take advantage of this opportunity to do something radical. He told the Lord. Now this is this is cool. This is how this works. He told Lord Command Him to come out there on the water with him. Now notice when Peter had a word from the war he had a command from God Jesus says. com. Peter could walk on water. But there something that Peter did that was incorrect something that caused Peter to. Stumble. He. Looked at the wind and he saw that it was boisterous. So, as Peter was walking towards Jesus in over walking towards, Jesus lied to me to think of the Prodigal Son who was walking on his way home one foot in front of the other. And he kept muttering about what he was going to say to the fodder rehearsing what he was going to say. However Peter. As he was walking towards Jesus he for a moment, he took his eyes off Jesus the author and Finisher General authored.

"Welcome welcome. Welcome to get another addition of coffee with Conrad. This is Conrad from Conrad rocks dot net. That's my block where you can find podcast videos and blog posts rocks of revelation being poured out to you. Now my passion is for you. Yes you too have a spiritual relationship with the biblical. Jesus. Part of having a spiritual relationship with Jesus is doing what Jesus said for us to do and that keeping the garden of our imagination filled with the word of God, ruining up all the roots of bitterness in not allowing those weeds of wickedness to grow. In our thought live. Now. What causes a we'd to get into our garden in the first place. It just seems like spring up. You ever notice that there's oh there's another one. But I believe there's a chain of events that we're going to talk about here. there is something that starts it all off and I want you to meditate on this with me about putting a stumbling block of iniquity before our face we. And think about how we purposely set the stumbling blocks are liberty before faces. Now. Keep in mind is stumbling block is something that causes a person to stumble. A let that sink in. If, we're purposely putting stumbling block of our iniquity or something that causes us to sin in front of our face. Then we're eventually going to stumble into that sin pretty straightforward, right? So we need to remove these stumbling blocks. From before our faces. Now here's what God says in Ezekiel to the people in the congregation, and they're coming up to ask Zeki for a word from the Lord. And God is talking about how these people in the congregation I mean. You know they're going up to ask Zeke you'll for word so they're obviously in the congregation. God's talking about how these people purposely putting stumbling blocks of iniquity before their faces an propping up idols in their heart. Here's the passage in Ezekiel. Son Of man these men have set up their idols in their heart and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face should I be inquired of at all by them therefore speaking to them insane to them. Thus saith the Lord God every man of the House of Israel this set up his in his heart and put the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face and come to the Prophet I. The Lord Will Answer Him that come with according to the multitude of his idols that I may take the house of Israel in their own heart because they are all estranged from me through their idols. That's Ezekiel fourteen. Versus three through five. Now, we know the Lord will not hear those that regard iniquity in their hearts. Keep in mind in that passage that I just read from Hezekiel. That these people seeking God for answers to their problems. However God is wanting them to deal with inequity in their heart. You know the Bible says, if I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me Psalm Sixty six eighteen. So we have this perpetual iniquity in our heart and we keep feeding it by putting that stumbling block of iniquity before our face. And that means to God that we're not serious. We're not really serious about repentance. When God sees that he doesn't hear our prayers. Now, of course psalm, there's an old testament verse, but the principal seems to hold true in the New Testament in first Peter Three seven likewise husbands deal with them according to knowledge giving honor into the wife as to the weaker vessel. And as being airs together of the grace of life that your prayers be not hindered New Testament post cross I peter three seven. James Four three says you ask in received not because you ask Amiss that she may consume it upon Your Lust So we see here, even the New Testament. If we do not on our wives. Our prayers can be hindered. If we asked selfish things that we may spend it on our selfish loss, God will not answered those prayers either. So these things could be iniquity. You are having coffee with comrades on Conrad rooks Dot Net. Do you realize that we're constantly sewing to our hearts? Think that when we're selling is just like the sewer. So's the word parable were sewing into our flash into our spirits into our hearts, and here's a passage in Galatian six be not deceived. God is not mocked for watch. So ever a man if that Shell he also reap for he that. So A to his flesh show of the flesh reap corruption, but he that's so with to the spirit shell of the spirit reap life everlasting esscalation six, versus seven and eight. Now, this is an interesting passage for me because this lady probably about. Eighteen years ago she was prophesying over me in some meeting in Texas and she said this passage. God's not mocked for whatsoever a man. So at that show, he also reap. Now, at the time, it was one of those words like I'm like I'm not really sure I'm getting this word right now but it kind of scared me you know it's like, Hey, man, this is serious. It. Caught my attention. But now that time has went by I can look back in the spirit of truth was bringing this to remembrance to me know how this truth will bring to remember. It's whatsoever God has told us that was what was happening with me. And I've seen how this word has come to fruition in my life. Now, we can also so to our spirits as well as the flesh in this reminds me a Smith Wigglesworth. After dinner, he would say something along the lines like we just federal bodies. Now it's time to feed the spirit and he would read the Bible after each meal. Here's a passage from one of his books ever increasing faith. None of you can be strong in God unless you're diligently and constantly harketting to what God has to say to you through his word you cannot know the power in the nature of God, unless you partake in breathed word read it mourn and at night, and at every opportunity you get after every meal instead of indulging in unprofitable conversation around the table, read a chapter from the word and then have a season of prayer I endeavoured to make a point of doing this no matter where or with whom I'm staying unquote. Now I'm going to include the link to that book where you can get it on Amazon ever increasing faith just check the the shown ups. Now this passage may seem extreme to. Luke Warm Christians. But this is Smith Wigglesworth. Smith Wigglesworth he's known to heal many people through his faith in God raise people from the dead. And he was also huge on sanctification. He would not even allow a newspaper inside his home is said, they're all full allies. So Smith Wigglesworth really did keep the garden of his imagination, his thought life. Clean. And he did not do things. To corrupt his flesh but.

"Dr Jerick Conrad. I want to welcome you to plan strong podcast. This is season two and season two Israeli about. Welcoming people at the heart of a hero and you know and reading up on you reading your book the fragile, mind. The beautiful introduction that was given. To me of you through our mutual friend Dr. Elizabeth linings. Yes I feel really. Really fantastic about having. A very open conversation with you and let me just frame it up right now for people because obviously right now in America we have. All these conversations that are going on around racism and Antiracism and I think it's really important bit you and I can have a conversation that will bring value. To this current narratives? and specifically, I'd like to have this conversation be more around kind of nutrition and health or lack thereof. Going on in this in this country at let let me also say Jerick that I know that you you are so well educated you're a intercultural sensitivity expert and I want to say up front that if I'd say anything that is inappropriate or you know like, Hey, dude, that was not cool I. Hope you'll call me on it and then and then helped me figure out the best way to say it or phrase it because I'm I don't even want to pretend like a nuanced or or or very good at this. Let me let me let you in on a little secret as we get more. Make these words expert. You gotta take that kind of stuff with a grain of salt you know. I am studying this stuff a talk a lot about it but you know all of us are still trying to learn as much as we can about human behavior. What makes us tick and why and so same here if I never abs you the wrong way I. Hope you say what's Eric? Louis. Feels like this what are you me? Because, we don't have these open conversations than We can't move anywhere and anytime you engage in some discussions when you start talking about things like race for instance a, it can get dicey for people but but I'm always willing to take that risk because I'm looking at toward the other side of it where we can all learn and grow together. So so don't be don't be worried about that. Good. So it's okay if we get a little uncomfortable, it just allows us to get more comfortable on the road ness, right? Absolutely. All right. Good. So I I WANNA just start out by. Just a little bit about you, and then I want you to correct me or go back if anything you know. I missed something to add something. So I and I think it's important that we say it is you're a black man right and start out and to start out. And to start out. Because a lot of people are just going to be hearing this on audio and not right. is that the correct way to refer to yourself when I referenced you? So I'm fine with African American with black I I'm I've I've really been trying to think about these labels and I'm really urging people to use you know American from. Descent. Something like that because I am in some ways, I think when you put something before American is serves as a little bit of an asteroid. And it almost subconsciously makes people think that that's a different kind of American. Of American not full American so I would prefer even though I'm the only person probably saying this right now I prefer that we move away from the Asian American or African American are you know Latin x American I prefer that we say you know American of African descent I want to emphasize the fact that we have that shared experience as Americans. But on a personal note, you know black whatever. Best. That's fine. Okay. Okay. You you grew up in east Saint Louis in what's what's considered probably the most distressed I think part of town in America. Probably said yeah, right. This had some challenges. Yeah and and I want you to talk about that You are like I said, you're incredibly well educated. You've got a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois. You have two masters degrees from Cornell University and you've got a doctor of education degree from the University of North Florida. Okay and I know you've got a lot more degrees that maybe you can tell us about but I'm GonNa stop there for now. You your family. Eat a whole food plant based diet absolutely and. We're going to dive dive into that. Is it fair to say that today are you the CEO and President of Conrad Consultant Group? Yes I am I am. So I still have I have the kind of consulting group also work a fulltime with an HR software company OATEN software that soon to Change Our Name, we've just merged with the KRONOS. So I'm the quote unquote thought leader I run the thought leadership group of for ultimate software where I get to delve into some of these issues around of nutrition. I spent twenty years as an HR practitioner So so this really gives me a chance to to go back to my roots and little bit with still think about these ideas and try to solve these. Really. "I'm with you always. Even to the end of the world. Amen. So. If we're going to make valuable use of the time. In this time that we spin here. It's a blip. On the radar of eternity but it affects our eternal life. And we can see here. That in order to hear well, done good and faithful servant. Is, probably has something to do with baptizing people here while we're alive and teaching people to observe the things that Jesus taught. Now want you to consider this. This is not watching a bunch of net flicks. We will not hear the phrase well done for watching a bunch of net flicks. We will not hear the phrase well done for playing lots of video games, but we will. If, we apply our hearts to baptizing and teaching people about Jesus. The. Has Diversion says, makes disciples and for some reason that sticks in my mind. More than the teaching, which is how the King James Renders Yep I read a few times. Now. Once I saw this video. I really started pondering my own. Morality morality mortality. In the vein of my call. In a wanted to take assessment of where I am you know where am I? How can I get? From where I am now To hearing well, done good and faithful servant when I stand, we're GONNA do that Jesus says that we're GONNA stand before him one day Paul. Talks about in. Second Corinthians. Five Tim. We're GONNA stand before the judgment seat of Christ received those things down the body whether good or bad. And then as I was going on my prayer walk I was pondering the lives of Jesus and Paul in Jesus thirty years old was very wise I often think you know. Jesus. was very wise in solemn supposedly the wisest person ever and I know Jesus had the Holy Ghost and. But but if you read what Jesus said. Are. You Really GonNa say man that's somebody this thirty years old. I mean the sermon on the Mount is why I mean it makes Shakespeare look like a baby. and. When I read that I'm like going you know Jesus did not waste his time. Even As a young boy. Remember he was in the temple questioning the doctors and he had he had astounding and at twelve probably was probably around twelve or thirteen. And then as I was pondering this one of the things that Jesus talks about his death. He brings home the fact that we will die in John, Eleven, twenty, five through twenty six. On the resurrection in the life he that believe within me though he were dead. Yet shall he live and whoever liveth and believe in me shall never die believe style this. Now. Obviously. If we believe. The fruit of our belief of what Jesus says means that we're going to what he says. Which is the great, commission. In fact here..

"Thank you so much for tuning in for this week's episode. y'All better be still doing the mass and the washing your hands and social distancing especially. If you're in America, because we are the worst, we're actually not technically the worse I think we're like the third worst depending on what data you're looking at, but considering how much we front about how great we are. In America where the worst and it's a humbling moment, it's a lesson learned right very important time to take responsibility for all of the nonsense and grow up and move on. We're going to be better yeah. If guys. Thank you so much for tuning in for last week's episode, it really means a lot to me as a third anniversary episode of first of all and a pretty intense one on inner child, trauma, and healing, and letting go of the past and I just really appreciate anybody who tuned in and. Listened politically with compassion and shared space, because that was a doozy a lot for me to let out but I'm very grateful that I was able to do that. Share that with you, all and I'm really really moved by the response. I got some messages of of gratitude and very vulnerable. Sharing and I just want to say know I'm not. I first of all. I didn't think I was GONNA, be here. I didn't think it was gonna do this many episodes. I was just giving it a shot. See where it goes and I didn't think that I'd be sharing so much of myself in terms of like my. Past in my what was happening in my life real time and it's been really really liberating really. Just eye opening for me and I just didn't know that I'd be here. And I didn't ever aspire to have millions of listeners. That idea actually scares me. Slash scared the crap out of me to think that that many people would listen to what I had to say. So, yeah anyway. That actually. That's next week's episode on. Stop playing small, but. Suffice it to say I just I didn't know really what I was aiming for when I started this, I didn't know what kind of reach I would have I. don't have a gazillion followers. Our listeners and I don't even know if that's what I I once per se, but what I care about is making an impact and what I care about is having something valuable to share with somebody else because I have. Learned so much from other things that other people have shared. That's all I wanted to do so when I get these messages of gratitude it genuinely. Like I'm shook. You know I didn't I didn't? I didn't like would have that kind of impact and to know that it is doing that. It's somebody else's life and making somebody feel less alone and like they're not crazy and that you know that their wounds in their traumas are not. that. They're not Something to isolate themselves with that. It's usually means the entire universe than some to me. It really motivates me to share more and not give up on this thing you know not used all these issues factors as measuring sticks of whether something is successful or not. Genuinely makes me feel like. I have succeeded. I've done something really valuable and worthwhile, so thank you, thank you to everybody who took the time to listen and thank you to those who took time and energy and effort and vulnerability to share their story with me. It's really touching I truly appreciate it. And now we're going to talk about K. Dramas. I think it's so funny that I've just done this energetic shift from like a huge one eighty going from inner child trauma, which is very real. I hope that you tune in for that when you're ready. To Talk About K dramas because. I'm just laughing. Guys You'll hear about in this episode it's it's quite a lengthy one, but I'm all about crash landing on you. It is a reintroduction for me after fifteen years of not watching any K dramas of having a lot of prejudices and issues with my identity, my culture that I'll share with. My guest and yeah I just want to dive right into it. This week's guest is my friend Joe. GonNa one who is a longtime first of all listener. He's a patriotic supporter. He's a dear friend of mine in the industry in La, and he's just a bright soul like he and I. Talk about so many different things, different movies and The industry itself, and about our personal lives and as we've grown in our friendship I've just come to value his voice because he's so insightful. Right Not right you'll, you'll get to hear. So a little bit about Joe, he is I first assistant camera and a camera operator, so he's the guy carrying all the big year in handling camera equipment on set and his journey as as a camera operator has just been really fascinating for me to learn terms of the life as production crew, and the person kind of behind the scenes watching making everything happen. And he's done incredible work over the years. He's worked on projects with OPRAH WITH BTS future dial Lauren Conrad Dumbfounded Disney Jaguar Gucci like Victoria Secret Heat. All from very humble beginnings like Joe is such a wonderful person.

"Yielded. No fruit and others fell on good ground. And did yield for it to spring up and increased in brought four some thirty, some sixty in one hundred. He that had the ears let him here. So. When we think about this sewer so is the word parable and Jesus expounds later privately to his disciples this way you gotta have a relationship with him, ask him what the Holy Spirit of truth to teach you. We see this on seeds fall on rocks rocks of offense. We see that some falls on weeds and there's there's the the thorns. The deceitfulness of riches actually chokes the word. Right? He interprets it later. So we need to think about this soil, are we throwing a bunch of seeds onto ground filled with netflix exclusive CNN Fox I mean what? What's our soil look like? When we do introspection, we do not want to run off and leave God in this introspection. That's very important. This is where the new agers miss it. "Purging, iniquity there is victory in the fire through Jesus Christ. Today going to be examining the new testament believer dealing with iniquity and the thought life and how the onus is on the new testament believer to be proactive about it and did I say there is victory. Yes I did. Good morning everybody. It's Conrad from Conrad Rocks Dot net rocks of revelation be out to you. My Passion is for you to have a spiritual relationship. With the biblical Jesus and I am coming to you today after I have one of those. Job Thirty three dreams where God seals us. You know we're not listening to God, and then he seals instruction in a dream in the vision of the night to hold him back from his purpose. and to keep them from fallen into the pit so. I'm like, wow, we can get. So caught up. In doing the will of God that we forget we break spiritual connection with God. We're so busy doing the ministry that we forget. We're not following the spirit in Jesus. Says the spurs like the Wind Brian he goes wherever he wants and so are his hours in Romans chapter eight those who follow the spirit those of the sons of God. So following the spirit. Once we get this revelation from the spirit of truth we cannot just stick with that and ignore God in like okay. I've got my marching orders I'm good and I know a lot of us can fall prey to that. But then what's happening is were were taken that original revelation original call or you might even want to call it a commission but we're getting we're getting so caught up in it that we're getting disconnected from the spirit of God in Paul's very good example in acts chapter. Sixteen. Paul is so used to doing the you know there's a scriptural mandate. If you read react sixteen, it's amazing. Okay. Keep in mind Paul was a Pharisee he had the bobble memorized practically right you can tell that from the way he quotes it all the time in his in his passages pretty way. He's going around doing the scriptural mandate preaching the Gospel to every creature like Jesus says in. Then the Holy Spirit though tells him not to think it's two times at least not to preach in Asia remember read it. It's there in acts chapter sixteen and then he's like well, wait a minute. Can you imagine what was happening in his mind at that point? He's like Oh while I'm supposed to follow the Scripture to preach the gospel to every creature, but the spirit was preventing him. So. Then he has a spiritual encounter in vision of the night a dream..

"Now another passage I want to read to you in Second Corinthians eleven four. This is by Paul, the author of the other stuff reading about the Spirit Second Corinthians eleven four for if he that comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not praised or if you receive another spirit which we've not received or another gospel, which if not accepted, you might well bear with him. Now, Paul is talking about another Jesus and if you look at these new age teachings there mentioned Jesus Christ. We can you know a lot of people can say I'm the Christ or? Talk About Buddha being a Christ and all that stuff you have to watch out because it's not the same Jesus that we read about in the Bible and what he's talking about here, notice it. Also, he says one that we've preached. He's already built a foundation with these disciples of WHO Jesus is. So the way I take that now is we need to have familiar eric with the Bible. No, you know how people learn what is a fake hundred dollar bill when they trained bankers in counterfeit money they make them deal with the real hundreds over and over and over and over again. So once you see something that's counterfeit you go you're so exposed to the real. Counterfeit kind of sticks out you go. There's something wrong with this. Right. So we need to have the intimate familiar relationship with the Jesus that Paul Preaches with the Bible and the spirit of truth. Now. I wanted to mention this passage two in Matthew Tin twenty-five. Is Pretty interesting here is says it is enough for the disciple that he be as master in the servant as Lord. If they called the master of the House beal's above how much more should they call them of his household see how people can call Jesus beelzebub in this is what's happening in the new age teachings preaching another Jesus or watering down the words and read in their changing things around to suck you in to be their disciples. So you may start scratching your head and say Conrad, we'll how do I avoid the new age teachings that are going through the church and I'm GonNa tell you it's pretty dog on simple. Just read the Bible I know that so hard to do we want we want to watch youtube videos, facebook live sermons I mean which which are. Okay but. Really, stick with the Bible I've talked over and over my podcast about people like Smith Wigglesworth he only read the Bible look at his life. He had miracles lots of people getting healed people even raised from the dead. George Mueller is, which is a great testimony. He was a party animal young in his life early in his life and when he got older, he realized the value of just reading the Bible read over two hundred times I think and for every secular page, every page that was not the Bible George Mueller read ten Bible Pages, right? So that was his ratio. Ten Bible pages for every page that was not the Bible any add a supernatural miraculous ministry for his orphanages Amen. So learn from them. Now I am guilty of raiding other stuff I love watching youtube videos I love listening to podcasts a love reading books I take notes in. But what I do though is I get a lot a Bible in me and who knows me I may change where I just read the Bible because there if you just read the Bible so much revelation in the Bible Jesus calls himself the Alpha in the AMIGA, right? That's that the age Z. Basically. There's an inexhaustible resource of knowledge in revelation just in the Bible, how many lifetimes I mean? I think you can learn from the Bible for eternity I mean I honestly believe.

"Here's a passage. In John Fourteen. Jesus talking about the spirit of truth John Fourteen seventeen even the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it's him not neither no with him but gino him for he dwell with with you and shelby in you. So Jesus is talking about the difference in the world, the world or the people that deny the spirit, right? Can't see or know him right. But in the Christian disciples, he dwells in us in shelby in US First Corinthians Fourteen fifteen Paul's talking about spiritual prayers. What is it? Then I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the understanding. Also, there's a difference I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the understanding also. So there's many spiritual passages in the Bible. In my point here is just because it's spiritual does not mean as new as the Bible points a lot to having a spiritual relationship with the biblical Jesus. This is Sherrie how from Sherry Hopper. DOT, com I'm having coffee with Conrad at Conrad Rocks Dot Net. Now, a very serious real thing I want to share with you because I've experienced this firsthand if Christians began to dabble into the new age, they're opening up a door for demonic attacks it may not happen to you directly, but it may visit your children. The Bible says in Exodus thirty four verse seven keeping Mercy for thousands. Forgiving, iniquity, and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear. The guilty visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children in upon the children's children unto the third and fourth generation. My Dad was a Christian and when he got married, he dabbled a little bit in the new age and I suffered terribly from demonic night tear. I did write a book about how to overcome that Jesus name. So check that out the link to that book will be in the show notes but my point is do not dabble in the new age. Don't go to seances don't go to psychics. Okay and look at what happened to King Saul he went to the witch of indoor and he died because of it right so you do not want the people of God should not dabble in astrology the Colt, or the new age no matter how shiny in tempting it looks it leads to.

"So obviously, you know, it's not a good idea to just copy someone else's doing. And it's not I don't think it's gonna lead to the best results in the end. But it's a really great place. Just get inspiration and see what's out there and see different font. Combinations color combinations. And, you know, photo layouts and it's just it's, it's a really great space for like visual inspiration. But also for I think creating that kind of brand style guide. So let's say I you know, I have my printer sport, I have my. Mood board. I've got my direction and I have a really clear idea of where I wanna go, what templates our programs would you suggest using you mentioned squarespace, other any other ones that are really easy for people to use. Yes, a we use WordPress for your site for Lauren Conrad, Dr to know his word for us. But we have a developer who built that. So it's definitely a little bit more. However, I'm I'm sure you can do WordPress on your own. There are tons of other, you know, there's squarespace wicks. I'm sure there are some other great ones that are make it easy to build your own website. Alana is like the Queen of excel so we create tons of documents in excel, and then upload them to Google docs. So that's where we have our calendar content calendar. Brainstorm emails all of our passwords, and log ins, we also another really powerful tool that we use for Instagram planning. If anyone has a blog or a small business that they're creating instrument content for plan. Is like the number one we recommend basically lets you put all of your upcoming content into a grid. So you can see exactly what it's gonna look like an Instagram and you can put your captions in there and everything ahead of time. And then it'll just send you a notification basically, when it's time to post or I mean you can't actually schedule it out as well. But we usually like to part manually, but it kind of lets you plan, Instagram content ahead of time and I think it's really great to be able to see what will actually look like in your grid. And in your feet and everything ahead of time. So that's kind of like, what we use for Instagram. Contemplate is literally, my best friend. It's could not live without plan. Li I plant, I mean, you know, we run we run the accounts for Lauren. Conrad Kohl's, we plan all of that out and planned only, so we'll gather all the photos and all of the products that we want to promote and we'll put it all into plant only and kind of sorted out into the field. So we can see make sure you know, we don't have to photos of you next to each other, make sure that we have a good mix of products. You can then you upload the captions you schedule it. It's amazing even switch back and forth. So we have it. We use it for Lauren. Conrad co which is our site account, we use it for asking for a friend. So we can just switch back and forth between those and get updates and then push them live. And it just makes makes Instagram so much easier and they also have a new feature where you can do stories a head of time, like they are really game changer. Yes. Amazing. He's amazing. Yeah. I think especially if, if Instagram is less of a hobby and more of a business for you. It's nice to have that structure, and I liked it. They allow you to lay your grit out because that does make a difference..
