"Your Amazon Echo Smart speaker by saying Play candy are Thanks to generous Super Bowl week continues. O J. Anderson is going to join us at the top of the hour. He followed me talking with you. John COLUMN Otis. Oh, yeah, Different. O. J. He would not be talking about cannabis or THC, or CBD, which most of our guests will be. That's why we requested them. But to be Frank O'Hare is gonna come on that drug dealer than he is. They should incarcerated that we should do that again. Illegal? Yeah, Bill if I don't call that was praising. Because Italian army you got a little bit. I loved it so much with because we knew it was gonna happen, and he didn't. So he's just talking along about the CBD and all those kind of things and would know. Yeah, Yeah, we knew Villa Fiat was coming on and I could be like a kid at Christmas. He was hardly he was drinking. So I called the piano to come out with Frank and he and Conrad Dobler. Uh, when his career with the buffalo bills they were where they're going to ever fly in this arena. Where were they going on report? You know, I think they were an airport in Denver flying to Rio. But they're drinking. They're just getting hammered. And Villa piano is like he gives me the phone against Conrad older the phone like he and I are buddies, and he's like Connie. Chuck Dr my study, and it was so we get out of the start telling, you know Chuck Knox stories from the Bills. 1980. I remember. You know, after the Bills won a playoff game coming back and watching them come off the After after the chart come off the plane down the stairs to the tarmac. Conrad Dobler could not walk. I mean, we're talking about Kyle Charlie and the body. I mean, he could barely get off. You know, Of course you play the next game. So W and I are telling old stories and will a piano gets back Another pianos, just swearing every other word on the phone to me. He's swearing, so I'm like, and he's seasoned by being there getting after. So I said, Fail when you come on the air will be a favor. It's a family show. Not your language. I got you. I got you. Great. I'll be good. What do you say? Swore right away like the first words out of my way. Kept trying to say, Dude, we're on the air. Now care. He's filming Piana. Frankel's Break. Let's set of off said Say so we had we had Franco on and then we have a piano. Come on and talk about deception. So it was. It was classic. Those guys were gonna dig that up. It's a point this week. That was amazing. Just sitting back and having those two go at it. Vila P. Otto's I don't know his f bobbing, but it was obviously the FCC violation. What did I say that we had? Franco's handler was giving me the wave. Like like, What do you want me to do with Phillipe? Otto? He's out of his mind. I can't control that guy. Stop talking in. The handler was giving us the rap side for like 10 minutes. Because we will don't be real understand. These guys are on a schedule this boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, you know, going through a car wash when they're going to the next one and And he got so mad and they took the cannabis back. And like you just gave it to me a minute ago. You give me a sample. Is that my fault? It's Phillipe. Out of dollars fault. I had nothing to do with it. Oh, man, That was funny. That was a good time, man. It's a good ones Be everybody was basically had either CBD THC something like that. Everybody sit down with prostate cancer We had, uh, my kids always comes out of your child. E no. Every year that would get because I knew what my games was gonna talk about. Keynes was, Yeah, she talked about seeing it and you start giggling like a 12 year old boy like that. Eventually. It's not gonna be Jeff seem in the old Vikings linebacker or cherry scene. In the long time referee. He's not talking about that. And you start giggling. That's a nice pot kettle black. We both. Come on. I'm I'm I giggled a little bit more. But for the first time you and I were in studio together the first time we did it. We look to the General Lee. Killed. Well, the first thing we didn't know and then he's probably come on during certain we'd probably five times and he's great, but he always he's one of the few that wears his Hall of Fame jacket, so he wears the yellow jacket. Jerry could still fit in it. That's right off the rack looks. It looks great, and then he starts going and it's look. It's an important thing he's talking about, but Yeah, I got it. One of these days They're gonna turn that corner and material, but it's never one. Mike Haynes is on this show. Don't know, but I always wondered when Jerry Seeman had personal foul. On Jeff Semen. You know those games, John. There was semen all over the field. Yeah, See backfield. He had one behind the other line when I get blamed for it, and I can't play before God. One thing from last night. We'll get into this with Marcus Thompson. I didn't even I didn't even know. That in the MBA fans were sitting courtside. Yep. Tonight, and I don't think we'll live in Florida in Miami are I have to go back and look check should be a package I watch. I guess I don't want the pox very much, let alone they're allowed in, but they're right. They have courtside seats. They're literally sitting on the floor, breathing on the players and the one woman who got a new way to her husband got in there with LeBron. Nice. Nice mask protocol there were sharing. It is a necklace. It wasn't even around her pie hole or knows so starts yelling at that was a bad look. That was a bad look Terrible for the league for everybody. So, basically this woman, Giuliana Carlos, I guess he brought she was famous. Now she's got refused. Well, she's she's affectionately known as courtside Karen now, but her husband and LeBaron century scores So her husband, LeBron go out a little bit. And then she felt like he need help need help. So like you said, she throws the mask off. She starts screaming at LeBron. They get kicked out of the game, and then she through social media. Basically, I don't even know if we should She f Bob so much that I'm not even sure if we could be pit and still understand what she's saying. But she basically called LeBron through social media Bunch of stuff. LeBron through his to his credit, I think afterwards said, Look, we're going at it back and forth probably shouldn't been kicked out of the game. But like you said they weren't exactly setting a great example have fans back in court side, So we have one team that has fans courtside and we have one incident in which they have to get kicked out of the game. Yeah, I think there's actually eight teams that are allowing fans, but I mean, we could guess where they are there in, uh Florida and they're in Texas. And, you know, I thought Georgia went blue. And it was blue charge. Unless you saw the bit of this analogy. Yes. Just hilarious on Blue Georgia so funny. But anyway, um and they are if they do have it All Star game and either they're voting for it. In fact, today, I think is a two for one dubbed the vote. You can vote for a warrior player and you get two votes. I'm not sure that Works exactly, but they did their eight teams. I think around the N V. A. So last night at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, I'm looking for in attendance in this box score here. I think there was here. This 1341 13 41. So I think they allow 8% is what I heard. That seems a little little small. How big is that Arena? Anyway, so they had 1341. You would probably mean a main thing I took away of which, you know, she had liquid courage going right? And she's she's wearing the mask like a necklace. And you're breathing on players right there, and she's yelling at LeBron. And then, um, why don't they space them out if you're gonna have 1341, and it seemed like a lot of the 13 41 courtside seats..

"You got to keep that spittle from flying. I was going to say, should they put plexiglass up on Mount Rushmore? Just put one in between the president's face. You wear a mask, you know, wear and then And then, of course, Polly. I go back to my Van Halen story from seeing them a shoreline. My Irish buddy Brian Ballou. He was hammered a cross eyed, waving his cigarette around almost as a fire hazard, you know, wobbling around. Rory, you gather her. So So what do you think? What's your What's your verdict? Well, no. I mean, those are great names. I mean, clapped into me, Clapton and he was a guitar hero for like the event. You know, Clapton was at his favorite guitar player like that was the only guy we idolize. Yes, Yes. So he was like a guitar hero for those kids. Jimmy just rip the world in half. Nobody knew what to make a Hendrix and still to this day, You can't touch Jimmy. But Eddie Van Halen, the only other guy that was that innovative who invented his own style, So when you get in your Chuck Berry's or Jimmy page, is there, not you, Murph. They're not wrong. They're definitely not wrong. But there's there's interchangeable pieces. Once you get Ray baby is out. I mean, Stevie reason, one of the greatest ever. I don't know what Stevie is. I think lab boy, I can't say the wrong thing here. You gotta respect him, But, yeah, I'm Mike. I might interchange Stevie with somebody else. No disrespect to the kid at Austin, Texas rest in peace, because I know you're a huge fan because of my crazy story from ST Louis on that airplane is Billy Gibbons and the conversations that you see there you go guys like Billy Gibbons? No, no, no. I wouldn't call the best. Everybody, certainly one of the greats. He's one of the all time great anyway, Tio already but I know it's a great bar stool. It is. The only thing is that you're just saying there's only two lakhs. That's true, and nobody's got. You cannot dispute that. But like Eddie and Jimi Hendrix, sorry, Mike Drop What? Because nobody actually wrote underneath Steve Ellen's list. He said You misspelled Prince. Well, That's another one, too, Princess. You know, Prince could mop the floor it pretty much anybody around. So what about the guy? You sent me? The video of Eddie paying tribute to a Les Paul Yeah. Les Paul another God bless Les Paul. I mean, that's the thing there's so many of you know what's great about like music and guitar playing. They'll have their own style like everybody sounds like their own personality. Like Jerry Garcia's personality is all over his playing like the edges purse When you hear the edge or like, Yeah, there's the edge right there. Bobby, you go. Alright. Flashes in and he votes for Eddie Van Halen off. Yeah, he totally head is a big anything. Alright? Polly Top six Sports stories on Wednesday, October 7 2020 Thank you. The decorations, you guys. It's helping helping me out today to talk to Mac and cheese and some guitar more, You know, I mean, I gotta go and by the way, haven't even gotten to the apology Video from coach because I got to view that too, And he's out for blood. But more on that in a little bit of apology, By the way, Polly what's not much of an apology? No more with assault really funny that our show has had to do the last two videos. Great. Well, what I what I like about it as we get into, like, maybe what the sixth aggression before we even start today is that Apparently, Murph, the video from coach was so controversial on hot. It triggered other in fights in the can be our staff just as a result of his video. Apparently, Kruger and Willard went after each other last night as a result of copes video about that. That's when you know you're a good Conrad Dobler s disturber because that's what you said. This guy over here says it tastes great. Really. Where says it's less feeling you got when you asked. It's like, Hey, Willard, Year where cultures saying about Yeah, Yeah, yeah. My buddy Tim wanted to start that brawl between tip, ease and busies on Geary to bars. He said He wanted one too busy to say, How are things going? And.

"Screaming squad. withing. Right. Wow. That's one minute magpie. Magpie Right now man. Three or four ravens going at the head of it's over it's over I. Mean we keep talking about these situations where like the guys in the street he's hopped up on drugs he's not responding to the bean bags or the tasers he's got a knife. Get the Ravens get the attack Raven's also. It's good. It's it's it's good for the police force to because. They go. Well. We taste the guy five times and it didn't do anything but make him stronger. You know it's like Oh we hit them with the beanbag didn't affect them. When you say, we hit him with the Ravens and he didn't care that guys out of his mind on. That's a superhero at that point you have to shoot that person because if the ravens didn't alter their core, didn't alter that guy's course if the Ravens didn't get them to comply drop the knife or do whatever. Then I'm sorry you're well then you're right to shoot at that individual if if in fact the ravens didn't work. All right. So updates on my my attack Raven's the other thing I was thinking about and I realized weird but. Sad. One of the times we're living in is. We're not allowed. There's a weird kind of death of humor that I've been noticing like nobody's really making jokes I mean they're making jokes but. The. The comedians should really be all over they all live in l.. A.. All over the pandemic and new some and everything else and and they're really not, and then I started thinking about. I was watching Troy Aikman and show Bach, and they're just going through the game. On Nfl Sunday. There's no jokes. There's no ball busting. There's none of that. You know we started we had it's really hit with Howard cosell and Dandy Don Meredith, and I guess Alex Karras was one of the first ones up in that booth I got news. Wasn't it? Yeah. Deer a deer door was later, Dan? Dear Dwarf Dan Dear? Dorf who was a I think a guard for St Louis or tackle for Saint Louis. Cardinals are back when they were the cart Saint Louis. Cardinals not the Phoenix cardinals right. Who was the original gateway to the point? Is this guys were up there having a couple of POPs? Dandy Don Gifford. Maybe Gifford with Steph. The, first iteration I know it was Howard cosell in. Dandy Don. Meredith Danny Don Meredith would be singing. to La it's the party's over at the end of that was the best part. The best part is that. The team was down by thirteen points. The other team had the ball over forty one seconds left on the clock and he'd just go turn out loves the party's over. He would start seeing it. They say, Oh, good. I don't even know who sings on but he was dandy. Don He dressed like a cowboy Howard cosell would be blotto by the second half. You know he's drinking the whole time and there were just having fun up there and I realized In sports even when you're calling a football game, there's no more joking and of course. Everyone loved Madden. Be Talking about big Nate Newton sweating on his ass like circle. The Big Sweat Mark Nate Newton. Larry. Well. It's better than Troy Aikman, just going right down the middle and Joe Buck. Jackson Keith. Jackson was the first then. So the first with Keith Jackson Cosell and Meredith must keep Jackson must have given way to. Alex Cares Gifford. Gifford Frank Okay. We Alex Karras from Webster. Popadopoulos he was a must disliked football player. It was a lying she was at Detroit Line I. I know I know that name but not what? He was like known as a dirty player like. He was but he dad too small adopt children. Let me just put this in terms. GINA CAN UNDERSTAND GINA. Yeah. He was a Conrad Dobler. Okay. Thank you for that. Okay. Thanks. Guys Remember Conrad Dobler. Conrad Dobler was the guy known for being the dirtiest. Hair like he was. He Conrad Dobler was a you can show crazy pictures, Conrad Dobler. Conrad Dobler was. He was with. He was on the offensive line of the Saint Louis Cardinals with Dan Dear Door Dan theory of Dan deardoff was sort of the gentleman tackle and and Conrad. Dobler can meanest guy and football dirtiest guy he'd bite Ya, he'd kick you. Look at Conrad. Does that guy looks like he's up to no good. Yeah. Than anything mental patient. Yeah. Now, who could play him Patrick swayze's brother Yes, Conrad? swayze. So. Anyway I started thinking where's the fun? Where's the jokes? Wiser Iras. Oh, everyone's just scared. You know what I mean like you you you take. You take a I. Take a guy like Joe Buck Joe Buck is a funny guy we know it. When Joe comes on this show he's funny as hell he really is north of the border. That's right. He actually has a lot of. Elements you'd want a standup like he's a funny dude, but he's gotTa play it. Straight everyone is playing a straight. The guys that are calling football games are worried and here's the deal since every joke. Since the conceit of every joke is there's kind of a winner and a loser in the joke right there's just to kind of pick a direction. There's going to be a winner that's going to be a loser. So. By definition. You almost can't joke because there's a loser in the joke and the reason. There's no doubt if me if we all sat around, had a beer and watch three hours of football with Joe. Buck he'd over under on him joking would be one, hundred, seventeen jokes. The idea that there's zero jokes means no one's even going near there. They're just going to do it the last guy remember making like. Tempting jokes and he was pretty funny Dan fouts. fouts would do jokes on the air or at least make light you know what I mean as. To a plan a stray like I remember specifically one USC UCLA game from years ago ten years ago whatever it was and. UCLA had a running back named Tyler Ebell guys. You know he wasn't super impressive physically and he tried to a rope the middle in USC just got stuffed and Dan fouts said something like something tove? Tried running up at the gap they just didn't have enough letting his pencil. Still, love about that well..

"Chin Shaw teaching Jetson first localized up in smokers. Amazing. I definitely were that one of these were classic. Oh, On the least Tommy Chong on the show. Yeah, we've been told We had amount of few times. Yeah. The traffic in Maryland. Marijuana legalized that, and I think he had some CBD stuff. He was yourself. Yeah, that was Franco Harris on the Civil Everyone's favorite. The My God. My God! Dear 45 people like CVD. Everybody had sat down, everybody sort of see. Hey, Franco. Hold this evening again. Th e exactly might even invest in real whole week with Villa Viana called in. They said we didn't know that was coming. He was drinking. He was accusing Reno right in the boys with Conrad Dobler. Yeah. So I called him to get him out of this. Frank is governor. So like right away is like some people like you call the weirdest reaction. They act like you. Call them like every day was like Greg. How are you? Red Dobler. He wants to talk to you when I grow up. Conrad Dollar ended his career with the bills, so I loved him. So we're talking about Chuck Knox or something? I don't know. But they were just getting hammered. And so Phil gets back on the line, and he drops like five f our three time like Phil, when we get on the air, you know, Please don't be well, happy bottom. I don't get it. What did you do right away. I'm Franco. That was tremendous. I love that interview anyway. Somebody somebody teaching teaching job classic. Last time I saw a teaching Shawn movie. 15 years tent least hand Second. I can't expose my mom, probably more than that easily. See now they were shed. The whole comedy thing of Weed was legal, Then it would be a funny The fact that it was illegal in ahead of his somewhat clan to Stein made it more fun. Funny, right? Yeah, no doubt. Although they had some great bits. Larry had some tremendous fits in that one. So anyway, my money fight on was the greatest. Well, those weren't They don't think comedy albums. You're talking comedy out. Yeah, but you know, either way, but But, yeah. Comedy arms. We listen. A teaching John Richard Pryor. Steve Martin, Who else did Still George Carlin George Carlin. Carlin was genius like people can look that up on YouTube now, and it's just unbelievable. You know, I'm older than you. I go backto Rodney Dangerfield. I've got so many Rodney Dangerfield albums. I got one worry. You still have a garage. He wasn't as good but I got him. In the end. The fact pulled him out there that my son Nick is so into the vinyls. Because of vinyls. One of his body has, like 3000 vinyls. Wow. So I bought one of those I've got, like, maybe a couple 100. I don't know. Do you really know what all my all my police and all my queen home stay the night before the concert? I was putting it outside the moon roof, you know? Side for these. That's not actually him. That's just so at this point. This is the closest we're going to get. People aren't touring. Close your eyes. So I bought one of those hokey turntables because I had all that. You know, we're gonna play him. You know, Right? Where do you get, like, sharper image or like we're hardly other days. They're awful. You put it on the needles left terrible, terrible myself out of the break that my king play these albums on that they're awful. You gotta get like anybody have like some of the old Hi Fi. The old turntables and everybody have that anymore. No. Has that missiles Barnett does he? Barnett actually bought a jukebox. Actually, I have a box at home, and he has like thousands. You know, he's mainly a fifties and sixties guy. He has all those in.

"Great. Nineteen seventies quarterback. He really was A in. The cardinals had some really good teams. With Terry Metcalf. And Jim Otis this and Mel Gray A really good offensive line with the likes of Conrad Dobler etc but cutler. Nah Nah Everett. No way he moon. Yes I guess Cunningham on that list I think probably he deserves to be on and deserves the man who did not on that one person's got to be on the list. I don't think Yeah Kenny. Anderson's got to be on that list. Kenny Anderson was one of the more productive active and high efficiency quarterbacks. He was had Ken Anderson. I'M GONNA look this up. His career In terms of completion percentage. He was way ahead of his day with high completion. Percentage is. I'm GONNA pull this up right here. Ken Anderson Right Played His entire career in Cincinnati had a sixteen year career Listen to some of these completion. Percentages in nineteen seventy four sixty four point nine percent that was unheard of for back then Sixty four point nine percent would be really good for today But he was doing it in seventy four. He was over sixty sixty percent. And seventy five. Seventy point six percent in nineteen eighty-two that record held up until I think drew brees a few years ago beat it I think it was breeze who breed it. beat it he was sixty six point. Seven completion percentage in eighty three by the way the bengals and eighty two one. Eighty three high-scoring team Ken Anderson was a really good. All Time quarterback he's career started in Nineteen seventy-one in Cincinnati. Eddie finished in one thousand nine hundred eighty six. He's always debated by the way is a guy that should be in the hall of fame. He's not in the era of not passing the football with very very tough rules You know if allowing the defense to basically mug receivers for most of his career a hundred six ninety seven touchdowns a hundred and sixty interceptions. He would be. He'd be way up on that list for me. Oh the problem with it. My Fault Duh. I'm an idiot and probably you guys were screaming. This the whole time Ken Anderson made into a super bowl he lost to the forty niners. I'm just thinking about it right now. he in nineteen eighty one in the eighty one season. The bengals made it to the super bowl loss to the forty niners. Twenty six twenty one. That was the first Walsh Super Bowl and the bengals that year played in that outdoor frigid game at Riverfront Front against the chargers in the minus fifty nine below game that was really along effort to try to convince you that Kenny Anderson's should be on a list but he shouldn't be on the list because he actually made it to a super bowl my fault sorry for the delay there Last night's game was awesome. It was an awesome game last night and I think for all intents and purposes it ended. The chargers hopes there are only four and six. They could go ten and six theoretically on their schedule though. They've got the chiefs next in Mexico. City they still have games against the Vikings. Another one with the raiders. Another one with the chiefs. You know they ace. I guess they sort of control their own fate. If they were to win out and go ten and six they really needed that game last night. and they didn't come through their late But I I thought that was a good football game. Certainly the second half part of the game that I watched couple of other things real quickly in this is not a Friday where we've got a lot of redskins but we had the Trent Williams report from Mike Jones. I got a couple of other things redskins related as well but how about this report from Ian Rapoport late last night did you see this. The Dion Sanders is a candidate to beat the Florida state head coach. I love it. I want you to just from a sheer entertainment standpoint. God I'd love to see what a Dion Sanders lead. Football Program would look like. I completely agree with that. Here's the report from Ian RAPOPORT APAPA PORT which is the ways? Abe says it every day for in rappaport. I didn't just stutter. A through that Rappaport by the way you know. He's he's good. He's active he's not always right though But he gets a lot of it right Those guys are they have a tough job to me. I sort of appreciate the guys that we'll just wing it and throw it out there and be eighty percent sure and just roll the dice Kaz ultimately you know what most people don't remember that they were wrong. They remember their big big gets. I don't know maybe the you remember their big misses. I remember rappaport speak missed you. Remember the rappaport big miss. When he reported that the Redskins were gonNA Trade for Tony Romo that they were gonNA offer like it was like I forget exactly what was involved but it was like a first round pick a second round pick and a key player for Romo coming off back surgery and I'm like her you out of your mind? Obviously that didn't happen but anyway. Here's what he reported about the lessening. NFL Network Network analyst and Hall of Famer Dion Sanders has emerged as a candidate for the Florida State Head coaching job. Sources tell me and Mike Garafolo from the NFL network of fascinating situation relation. That could unfold. You Know Dion has zero. Coaching experience. head coaching zero coaching experience altogether. He's never coached a position group in college or the NFL he hasn't played in the NFL. Now since two thousand six finished his career Baltimore in two thousand six. You know by by the way if you miss this. The reason that people are talking about him for the Florida state job is they fired. Willie Taggart last week Taggart. By the way they paid off both eighteen million dollars of his remaining deal. Like here's a university. They're losing money in their football program. The last year it was reported last this year was their first losing season since nineteen seventy six in Taggart's return and they just said Yeah Willie. We don't really like like you anymore. we owe you eighteen million. We made a few calls here it is and they paid him off at his quite the golden parachute. You know you coach for a year and a half and you get eighteen. Eighteen million to leave anyway. Imagine prime time as the head coach at Florida state it would be so entertaining entertaining so entertaining and by the way the other thing about them they have fallen so far in such short order in its ruined in the ACC because the needs other programs to be competitive. They don't have any other than Clemson. I don't know if we've talk doc. If we talked about the orange bowl catastrophe on the show yet on this show because they have a guaranteed spot and Clemson's in the playoffs. Yeah so who would go right now. It'd be like wake forest. Orest d'oeuvres Virginia. Kind of feel like we've seen wake forest in the Orange Bowl before evan. When yeah while back but yeah I would be like Virginia or someone like that right now? Wake is seven one. They Lost Louisville. Wake as of now but will how would it be wake. They wouldn't play early in the ACC champion they don't have to necessarily take whoever plays in the ACC championship game. Oh So if Clemson Beats Save Virginia and wake only I will wake skin have two losses. Kazoo they're gonNA play Clemson right. So let's say they have two losses they could take the SEC's horrible yes Miami's really good on defense. It's pits really well coached nor doozy does a really good job. You know pit right now is six in three. They lost the Miami Sixteen Eighteen to twelve. I don't know how that happened. They played Penn state really tough early and they got blown out by. UVA In the opener anyway why are we talking. ACC football prime time prime time at Florida state. I WanNa see that and now I've decided I wanna see something else to do. You follow this Antonio Brown story yesterday. Yes so antenna. Don't and Tonio Brown. It was reported earlier in the day that the NFL was going to sit down with Antonio Brown next week and then Antonio Brown went off on twitter he you wrote quote imagine conforming to assist him giving it one hundred percent to see them. Treat me like this is unfairly. I think he struggles struggles a little bit with with a punctuation for one words grammar verb conjugation lots lots of stuff that AB struggles with In his tweets making money off my sweat and blood F- The NFL never play in that s treat black people the worse. Clear my name and go F yourself. That was him early in the day after it was announced that he was going meet with the NFL next week and then he backtracked later on and then he had this tweet. I'm just very frustrated right now with the false allegations and and slander to my name. I love football and I miss it. I just want to play and I'm very emotional about that. I'm determined to make my way back to the NFL. A SAP that was a much better written tweet. with good punctuation and I'm guessing that drew Rosenhaus may have had something to do with that tweet or maybe maybe drew Rosenhaus wrote the first one and that's really the true. Ab He's got so many issues right now. The He's ill I'm not a Dr. I'm just a keen observer of the human condition. Erin I liked I fancy myself to be that I'm being sarcastic passed to a certain degree although I do find it interesting to sort of look at people and try to understand what they are he is he is suffering from something. It's some some sort of you know bipolar thing. It some sort of anxiety depression thing It is certainly narcissism you know Oh textbook narcissism at the highest level. He needs help like desperate help. But what I did decide in reading his backtracking backtracking late last night. And assuming that he's going to meet with the League that if the League were to clear him to play and last week yeah. I don't know if you read this Seattle before. They signed Josh Gordon. They were actually interested in Antonio Brown. I want the Redskins signed Brown definitely gently definitely. How much lower could this thing go? You got seven games left imagine. ABC's cleared by the League next week and the Redskins sign him and he suits up to play against the jets next Sunday. I mean we need some action. There's no action here. You're just rooting for chaos. At this point I'm rooting for just a reason to watch and Dwayne Haskins reason to watch and of course that would be a reason that most have you would say don't do it. He would ruin Haskins. You know what if he's going to ruin. Haskins Haskins is going to be ruined. Anyway I actually think it would be really interesting to see how how Haskins deals with. AB wouldn't it be cool if AB comes into the team. And he's not getting the ball in the first half and he blows up on the sidelines and Haskins dresses. Down right there on the silent. There's a shot of it and he's pointing a B and he grabs. ABC's face masks and he says sit down on the quarterback that would be Kinda cool to see No one no one is going to watch this team. Haskins gives you a reason to watch watch. I was thinking about this by the way a week from Sunday. BTW Next Sunday could be the worst crowd of of them. All there's not going to be a jet contingent more likely than not except for maybe some of the jet fans that live in the air that are like Oh man I can get in for four dollars dollars like I can get into that stadium for four bucks and have a decent seat which will be true. Like if you wait until shortly before kick-off you'll be able to get into that Stadium Liam in maybe get paid to go to the game by the time you get to one o'clock next Sunday but more likely than not not a lead. Not a lot of jet fans is haskins going to really bring them out to see his first start at home. I doubt it. This could be like a thirty thousand person crowd next Sunday in a you know you need good weather to this time of year. Like if it's cold or rainy you it's it could be the worst. The lions game definitely could be awful. That could be truly awful. Is it so I just on a win here. I looked at the ticket. Prices were already for that game..

"Bogus with your updates our doubt too big hours left to play with coming up later on in the program. We're going to be talking to Jack Armstrong analyst for the Toronto Raptors TV network continue to preview the NBA finals. We kick off this hour. A with news in the National Football League and one certainly, I guess, the guy that draws attention either way because of what is named in the headlines for flip times, a lot of negative reasons that is Richie Kock Dido. But, you know, the, the, the former Pro Bowl ofensive guard with a number of teams in the National Football League. Cluding your Buffalo Bills. Is back in the National Football League after being out of the league last year back in the league this year have inside day one year. Prove it deal with the Oakland Raiders. Yeah. I think it's a good really good move by the raiders again. And I'm from a football perspective. I've been a fan of Ritchie and cognitive for a long time when he played at university of Brassica. I was a fan of this guys play. He is a throwback. No nonsense style offense of Lyman, who have a especially when the bills you me of Conrad Dobler remember, Conrad, dull day, you know, that type style and Conrado played for the bills paid for the cardinals. But anyway, so that throwback typo, ole linemen. That's nasty gritty hill bite your foot off, if he has to, you know, and spit, it actually, that's, but off-field he's had a lot of stuff. You know, incognito when he was in college, he had stuff when he's at Nebraska, I remember, no one really knew who he was. But he was at Nebraska and he had like anger management. I mean, I'm over viewing it. I I'm not reading or what? But when he was a college years ago, he had some issues at Nebraska where he was a little temperatures, and he had some stuff going on. So but for the raiders, I, I gotta tell you. I think it's I think it's a good move. I mean, he's not would might may actually GM. He said something like not everybody's a boy scout. We can't have all boy scouts, paraphrasing. That's to be said. And if you go back to that rate of mentality for decades ago, you know, let the matter if you like which can cop Nido or not is in the perfect Reiter, wrong, right with that, that, that feel they've always had. Yeah. Alcido and Ted Hendricks those guys Matt Millen those guys that were just right off. Let's hear from the raiders GM here's Mike back the former draft analyst on the NFL network on wild undecided, bringing cognitive board three years, Rosa pro.

"One from one's work. So if we can load their phones with tweets or give their friends reasons to text them something about a transaction that has occurred. Let's try to do it in the window when they're more likely to break from whatever they're doing to check it out. That's good for all of us. We all benefit from that these nighttime transactions suck we are leaving meat on the bone people. We are in an entertainment business here. We are trying to inform and entertain and people are far less likely to look for entertainment when they're not at work and otherwise entertained by things it's harder to break them away from. That's all I have to say about that. Last night a couple of bang bang transactions that happened after work hours in the east and arguably in the west as well because it was about nine o'clock eastern at all hit. I think the raiders signing former Bengals linebacker vaunt as Bertha CT the raiders who just a week ago officially acquired Antonio Brown from the Steelers. Antonio Brown who was once can cost by volunteers Burfoot during a playoff game laying the foundation for the Steelers to win a game that the Steelers should've lost Vaughn says Bertha birthed hated by the Steelers, but now teaming up with a former Steeler who arguably hates the Steelers. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. And their common enemy specifically. I would say juju Smith Schuster Smith Schuster is the guy who laid out vaunt as Bertha CT. I think Smith Schuster ultimately got suspended for a game for that hit stats. Correct me if I'm wrong, not that you need an invitation to do that ju- got suspended three games for the hit and the two thousand fifteen playoffs. No. That was perfect now see as Bertha get suspended three games for the hit on Tonio Brown. Smith schuster. I think got suspended one game for his hit on Vaughn has birthed during the two thousand seventeen season. I think and then last year when the Steelers and the Bengals played Fonterra's perfect. Got over a hundred thousand dollars in fines for a couple of different incidents one of which involved in a legal hit on Antonio Brown. Also reportedly heard threatening juju Smith Schuster, you're next. That's volunteers Burfoot that's him. He disputes the idea that he's a dirty player. I'm not a dirty player. I play physical position. I can't go out there. Patty cake if I play soft. I'm not doing my job. But there's a line that football players aren't supposed to cross, and as we know more and more about the long term health effects of playing full contact tackle football grown, man style. We realized that maybe the line did used to be crossed. More than periodically, especially in the seventies. The Conrad Dobler era who will him kids. Breaking fingers Daojing is. All sorts of nasty stuff happening at the bottom of the pile. That era had ended until volunteers Bertha came along. Birthed as to an Tonio Brown said we're on the same team. It's one goal. It's all positive, man. He's a great player. I'm going to approach him. Just like I do all my other teammates. There's nothing negative here. We're on the same team. We're trying to win a championship here. That's easy for birth to say now, I think Antonio Brown said all the right things too. But what else is he going to say, what's he gonna set? Why did we sign this third? Of course, he's not going to say that he may make it. Stats? That'd be nice. If he said that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I if he believes it I don't want to say that he doesn't believe it. But I wonder what he really believes. So the raiders now pair birthed and Brown, and please put them on hard knocks. Please. Please. Please. The lions and the raiders were doing the whole chip and Dale routine. You know, who chip it not Chippendale the dancers Chippendale. The the Disney cartoon where they're like, ultra polite. No, you I know you. I know I insist I insist that's. That's what the lines and the raiders are doing with each other. Like, oh, no. I think that lines. Oh, I think the raiders would be an excellent candidate for hard knocks. They have all the things that HBO go. I think the lions would be an excellent candidate for hard knocks to the teams that can be forced to do it. There's a formula that applies, and I think it is if you had the playoffs the last two years if you don't have a new coach. And if you haven't done it in the last ten years, you can be tapped on the shoulder and the raiders fall into that category. And now that they have gone out and around it up the likes of Antonio Brown. Avantis birthday today are even more compelling than they would have been Jon Gruden alone is enough to make it compelling. And if there is a hard knocks training camp with the Oakland Raiders, it'll be interesting to see what Mike Mayock has to say about volunteers birth because back in two thousand twelve. In a conference. Call and Mike Mayock pre-draft conference calls were epoch. He would go on and on. He would answer any question about any player. You could never stump him. He was asked about perfect perfect had a rough run up to the draft. He had a horrible performance at the scouting. Combine on the field. His press conference was all over the place is interviews reportedly were bad. Although that was from Charley Casserly. So who the hell knows? Feels like it was a year ago, doesn't it? The whole Casserly kerfuffle with collar Murray. And I'm I'm kidding about. Obviously, I think that that it was universally accepted that Burford just had a bad. Combine Mayock said I put his tape with absolutely zero preconceived notions. I watched three tapes and really didn't like him as a football player. I think he's non draftable and Mack was right. He wasn't drafted. But the fact that the raiders would sign him now. It further underscores the disconnect between the draft and reality, and we are going to slip into draft mode coming up in a week or so after we go to Arizona for the league meetings and process the rule changes you got a month or so after that of draft, focus and his. He's already been a month or so of draft focus, and it's become a cottage industry or larger in recent years or over the last twenty years and. The assessments the analysis the obsession with guys who may or may not be seventh round picks and all the way through and three hundred guys. And then as soon as the draft ends, it's like it never happened except for three or four guys. I remember noticing that I don't know ten years or so ago, and look I I'm all in with the process, but I'm also all in with peeling back the curtain and letting people understand how things really work and the NFL has turned this annual selection process into its own entity that. You would think has a trophy handed out like there's an auxiliary Lombardi trophy that goes out to whoever wins the draft. And then the draft ends and all those guys all those new players get absorbed along with undrafted free agents small army of undrafted free agents into a roster that has a total of ninety guys per team. And you don't hear much about. More than a handful of these guys unless and until they become players Alvin Kamara case in point became the offensive rookie of the year in two thousand seventeen what he was talking about him throughout the April May June July August at once in a training camp. And I gotta give SIMS credit. He was one of the guys on the Alvin Kamara bandwagon in the weren't many on it. He called a shot, and he was right with chimera until guys do something until rookies do something. That's when they get noticed. Now. Kyla Murray is going to be the guy Nick boasts is going to be another one maybe the other top quarterbacks. But until guys do things we're not gonna notice. But that that so has perfect like always non draftable, and you're right. He wasn't draft. Well, you know what he's been a good player. Even though he's been a pain in the butt. And even though he's been a problem for his team because he's not available for his team ten different games during his career. But now. Doc. He is sign -able after seven years in the NFL because he's proven he can play proven at the evaluations were incorrect or it's possible evaluations were correct. Based upon the information they had available, but the guy had a higher gear. The guy had a bigger reservoir of heart effort attitude. Tenacity violence than people expected based upon what he let everyone think he is. It's the Tom Brady. Dynamic Tom Brady ended up the one hundred ninety nine pick not deliberately or not accidentally. He earned it. That's where he fell and everybody passed on over and over and over again because they were better prospects. So oh, and yes, something we pointed out when I wrote about this last night and stats. Just texted me to remind me it's not like Mayock sign in the guy. Anyway. The whole notion that Jon Gruden isn't in control. Because last year, I think Jon Gruden was trying to reserve the right to say don't blame me for anything. You don't like that? We do because it's not me. Did it Mike mayor crumpled that up in a ball and throw it into the trash not long after he got the job when he said gruden's in charge Gruden has final say, which is another way of saying gruden's in charge. I'd love to know the truth here. Of whether or not may offer was saying to Gruden. We don't want this guy. And I could see Gruden San. Hey, mike. You just worry about the draft. You worry about whether guys loosen the hips right now, you worry about whether or not he can cross the face in the AA gap Oury about what guys we wanna sign. All right. I'll worry about coaching these guys you got me. You just worry about getting me the best players you can in the draft. That's not a good Gruden that was your Gruden the content was there. I mean, that's what he would say it just wasn't delivered. And it should be easy. I mean Simms has tried to do Gruden. He worked with them. He was with all the time. He was listening to all the time. And every time he tries to do Gruden. It. Sounds like Phil Simms. Every voice that Chris Simms. Does is Phil Simms. By the way, we have Chris Simms and big cat today. The three man we've addition I both love and hate that. Because it has the potential at any given moment to become chaos. With those two especially when the two of them start talking to each other, ten minutes go by and then they remember all of Florio's involved in this to get thanks guys. It's only my show can you please shut up after ten minutes. So it's going to be a fun day. And I say that both seriously and sarcastically. If that's possible it's like peanut butter and jelly in the same bottle. Or maybe it's not. It didn't.

"Should be doing. You know, what those that have the wherewithal as pooling their contributions into specific years. Let's say, you know, and look, you know, this is not for a lot of people. But let's say you give ten thousand dollars a year rather than give ten thousand dollars every year. You know, once every three years gift thirty then you'll be able to itemize on your tax, right? That's crazy though. Isn't it? That's not. But it's all calculated into the standard. It's like slicing up a dollar. You don't see their four quarters ten times. Whatever it all comes out to a dollar. So we, you know, frankly, when you give something to a charity, you know, whether you're right it off or not, you know, you're doing well, some people do it to write it off other people do because they want to you know. What is true and? Spent a lot of studies done on this. Those that states those nations that are more socialistic are a lot less charitable. Then those countries that are more capitalistic because there's two things one is the deductability of charitable contributions makes it attractive for those that have the wherewithal to give to charity, but the second thing is socialistic states are countries tend to think that the government's taking care of everything are much less charitable. Well, you know, why should I give because you know, it's a government program, anyways, or this or that? So charity, you know, charity people would say that are that are more socialistic would say, well, you get a deduction for it. So obviously benefits you on the flip side. Like, I said there's been a lot of studies done that would suggest that socialistic states are much less charitable because they don't have the deduction and be everyone thinks that government's taking care of everything here. Right comrade Conrad Dobler, we're heading that way. Now the half words. Halfway. Ooh. Cool balls. Stein. Makes me could you hang on a sec. I'd love to get right back. "Hey, dick, looking forward to listening to do color commentary. Like, I'm not doing it. He said you're gonna have to put your pretty fucking close to the radio because I'm not doing I'll be in California. It was about the money. He brought up the money money money, especially if those old guys like who built the league who were the face of the league and Gad to like have grow selling medical supplies in the offseason. Like deacon Jones. And you're Sanders of what the how do they do get credit like they they should get it for sort of like busting in and getting some respect getting money. Don't want credit credit doesn't pay. I know what you're right. He wants money. I'm like, yes. The league should have a fund of like you made this all this might like well Dell maybe take thirty million dollars. Well, the first thing is are they still this is like are they taking care of all those guys healthwise? No. Because you only get like a couple years. Right. You didn't get it. So they're not gonna responsibilities the strike move that needle forward possible that moved it forward some. But like, you got guys like Conrad Dobler, who's knees? Look like, you know, one knee is bigger than this table. Right. And and he can hardly walk. You can hardly Hanford zone healthcare for his own his own Elliott's. That's the big problem right there. So back to the bears. The bears will be good next year. We already douses because you're division is kinda down a little bit. I mean, yes. Yes. In a soda is good. Yeah. Good sodas good. They had a funkier. You've had a funkier. But will they have a better year next year? We don't know your there's no guarantees ten. The bears are just defense. If defense stays the same. Then you have time to bring the offense along you don't have to be fully well kicking on all cylinders, and they weren't necessarily. There is like a window like we should go deeper in the playoffs next year. There is that expectation now. And so I feel like Trubisky has to get like this year. He had to be ten percent better next year. He has to be ten percent better than those like instinctive. He said one year under Nagy, he has I think it's kind of a little bit on his progression. 'cause I don't know that the defense will like I predict us being a top five defense next year without knowing anything, but he can't get better as a passer. He just can't he made passes that you know, the last game we played he at one good half and one bad half. So he has it. He has. So it's just an interesting. So if you like don't get greedy and say if that guy's ten percent better I like our chances. But that's why. And that is why you because he's not Pat Mahomes. No. Off. Maybe he's Jared ga like I wouldn't say his, but he's actually more mobile than Jared Goff. He can actually take off and get some yards with his feet, but the truth in that are is I'm looking at Pat Mahomes, and I'm like can he do it every and you do it when the chips are like with? About when Brady rolls in and the patriots put thirty nine on your team. Can you like you know, when the Rams put like fifty two on them? You know, they he threw two interceptions at the end of the game. Like, he wasn't himself and they lost. And so the question is how many points did he score? Yeah. I don't think that's him not being himself. The law of averages. If you throw fifty four point you're right, but to interceptions is almost. Play better you expecting Tom Brady to play better or Pat Mahomes to play better for me. Of course, Tom Brady. But for me, I think Mahomes proved it last weekend. Like, I was worried about the rookie jitters last weekend like off game. It's all the same winter go home every game at this point. And like he was he's a remarkable talent. Like, he's just the real deal. I love say that he proved it last week. I feel like he will play equally as well this week. But isn't it crazy that like the patriots get Sony, Michelle? And suddenly, you're like didn't you you were in the Super Bowl the year before and you drafted like twenty ninth. Yeah. And you got this guy because teams need like three new offense of now..

I look at stuff, and I look at deacon Jones look at Bubba Smith. Sure. Conrad Dobler in different guys. Akhiyad Conrad Dover. Once he got into a pile with you could take a bite out of your out of your. He was considered to be at the time. The dirtiest player in the leg. That's right. Yeah. But you know. We had to hire a coach. Thank you paid a lot less than the players. Kind of teach these guys who are making millions of dollars a year. But disciplined about not holding. And I, you know. I mean certain things. Okay. You you haven't you an agent and your aging is talking to the owner. Explain to you. Why you see this man all of this money? You finally say, okay. You know, he does this thing. It open up my pocket and give this money. And now he's doing the team. But because we don't have the right coach. Not discipline him. He can't stop old, right? If you did that. And you got that kind of money. I don't care if the rest of the team sucks, you should be. You should be the one you ask for the money team all the team up, but you're out the again, eight tackles. Or something like that. Because. My wallet. Now, we gotta get you gotta look for another Costa disciplined, a group of grown men who came that kind of money. I don't care. I don't like that. Well, I think even with the money you make some excellent points. Rod, and I'm glad you took the time to be a part of the program. In the case with the jets. They will certainly to a man not throw Todd Bowles or anyone with the coaching staff under the has trunk. That's for sure but along with their own thoughts, and we could see when we watch and we're not former players, so we haven't been there. But we can see when they're inspired and we can see when they're not inspire. We could see when they're ready to play and disciplined, and we can see when they're not ready to play and not very disciplined. And if you're watching, and who isn't we're all watching the bottom line is they they will have the backup Todd balls. That's for sure they'll all say to a man, it's not him. It's us, and that's true too. But it is him as well when you don't have the discipline. When you don't have the good in game decisions when you don't know whether the pond or go forward or kick a field goal or. I mean, and they don't respect him. They may like him, and that's fine. And they may have his back, and that's fine too. That's understandable, as a players that do speak out or holding themselves countable responsible. But the bottom line is they don't respect Todd Bowles. They don't play hard for him. And we have seen that. And so is Todd Bowles seeing that as well. One eight seven seven three three seven six six six six is if you didn't know the number to call as we shall continue, whatever until Tony at one on the fan, New York's. "How did it change the way you play? You had pass pro almost every play. Well, what I came into the league. It was. A heavily slanted ofensive system towards the run. Right. It's it's it's the way the game was played throwing the ball on first down was was harassing. I mean, nobody. Yeah. Nobody went in that direction. And and Don coryell was the one of the first coaches that he had no problems throwing on any down. And a lot of like Dallas used to play this funky defense where they had two of their defensive linemen back off the ball about a yard. And they were down in this little frog stance. Well, it was a it was a run defense, and it was all meant to protect their middle. Linebacker, LeRoy, Jordan. And and Don coryell said, well, what are we going to? Why are we butting our head against the wall try to run against that? We'll just throw it and Tom Landry. I swear to God almost wanted to file a protest yet doing. Well. You're not allowed to do that you are allowed to you are, and you are not done it just. No one had thought to do that yet. And that's all it is crazy as it sounds. I was a rookie in nineteen seventy one. It was pretty big deal when you went to three wide receivers. Yeah. Backfield five wide re those things where did not are you kidding me? That was that was from outer space, and and then you think about the success coryell had in the eighties and the early eighties with those sandiego teams. I mean, you he took that same offense and found himself with Dan Fouts and Kellen Winslow, and yeah, Charlie joiner, and and just all sorts of great talent all over the place. And we'll say this about though, the seventies. And I played from seventy one eighty three the seventies in NFL Lor will always be the wild wild west there. There weren't that many rules. Are you could hit anybody? You wanted anytime anywhere on the field yet, you couldn't clip them. But you could ear hole you could dock them out horse yards away from the ball. It didn't make any difference. You have a defender to do anything to receiver before the ball was thrown. I watch. The guy run across the middle one time, and dick Butkus clothesline Damon knocked the guy out he never even saw it and that was perfectly legal. And now you see that like the game is shifting and the game is changing, obviously, it's it's different. It's for the preservation because we're seeing what some of those hits did to people over time. Do you think it's heading in the right direction a little bit? Or what's your attitude? No. I think it's I think it's definitely in the right direction. That's what we did was excessive. It was just part of. It's just the way the game was played back that right there. There was not much of any attention paid to player safety back in the seventies. First of all we played on that horrendous astroturf they had it Busch stadium which was nothing, but a piece of indoor outdoor carpet old over of asphalt. And so many of us from that from that era. Are we all have artificial knees? Artificial hips, and I don't blame the game of football. I blame astroturf. I practice every day on that astroturf, and it just ground my joints dust, along with my genius. Yeah. I'm at Conrad Dobler, I know friend of yours and you played right alongside. I mean, take one look at his knees and to see what what astroturf does to to a man's knees. It's it got all of us. But you're right Conrad's probably got the worst looking he he actually was to appoint a couple years ago. He lives over in Kansas City. I went and picked him up and brought him over here to wash you Don at Barnes. And because we got the Rams doctor to take care of him. He got an infection in his knee. And and they told him if they couldn't get rid of it. They were going to have to you Tate, his leg and. That's how serious it was. But thankfully, it worked out prisoners now Conrad's brain, I can't speak to that. Because that was never very function. David before he got hit. That was exactly right. He he was a while. He's been shooting blanks for a long time. Well, it's amazing as you're playing the game..

"In Colorado. Xtra sports thirteen hundred. Aw. Right now. Thirty five minutes after the hour. Pro football talk live. I was surprised that Bengals linebacker volunteers. Birthed wasn't suspended for what I believe was a blatant forearm to the head of Steelers. Antonio Steelers receiver Antonio Brown on Sunday was that play where Tonio Brown. It's okay. Helmet to the helmet. Now, he possibly was no longer defenses at that point. So that's not a dirty hit per se. But then perfect comes in and cleans it up with the forearm, and you can see him kind of wind up a little bit with the forearm and slam it into the helmet of Antonio Brown. And given his history. I thought perfect would be in trouble to be interesting to see if he gets fined for that. Because I think it's hard to find him in not suspend him given his history. Now, there's there's a quirk in the rules that after a certain period of time at like all kinds of resets, and you get absolution for your past sins at least as it relates to a potential suspension. But still this guy has had so many issues over the years. It was jarring to me that he wasn't suspended. For that hit. And it dawned on me. Why he wasn't suspended? And there have been times in the past. And I remember. Right after the deflate gate litigation in twenty fifteen. It was Amari Cooper is rookie year with the raiders he in pacman Jones were getting into it week one. When jones. With the Bengals. And at one point. And I remember this maneuver I need to find a video of it because Cooper's helmet ended up off and Jones like picked him up and slammed his head into his own helmet. And it was like man Jones getting suspended. There's no way he's not getting suspended for that. And he didn't. I think sometimes the NFL doesn't want that headline doesn't want multiple news cycles with the suspension, the appeal the appeal hearing and the appeal result. Living in that case. The NFL just didn't wanna lose. Again. The NFL was coming off of a pretty stunning loss in Deflategate in court. They ultimately won. But started the two thousand fifteen season the NFL had had its hat handed to it. By judge Richard Berman just a few weeks before week one. And I think the NFL was the turtle with its head in its shell. When it came to picking those kinds of fights that may have more rulings adverse, the NFL's interests this time around I think, it's just more about keeping the focus on everything. They want us to focus on which is scoring is up touchdowns are up games are closer games are exciting. Roger Goodell was ticking off all of those items yesterday when he met with reporters on the final day of the October meetings. I will leave you with something that I've said to the owners many times, I don't think there has been a better time to be an NFL fan. The quality of the games and the joy that comes with that. I hear it from the fans all the time that is number one for them. In other words, we don't do anything to disrupt that vibe. And if we decide that we are going to drop the hammer on volunteers perfect who deserves it. Unlike any player in the modern NFL. If they do that, we're taking the focus off. Of what's made the game as exciting and successful as it's been so far this year and you throw on top of it. The news on Monday of a perfect suspension. Followed by the middle aged and older billionaires gathering in New York City for the October meetings. And they all get asked by reporters to comment on the menace. That is perfect. So you're going to have a bunch of different stories. You're going to have people like me running the sound of Jerry Jones, San I don't think there's a place for that kind of behavior in football. They're getting better. Definitely. No. It's worse. I must say I I do not believe there is a place for that kind of misconduct on the football field by anyone including Mr. von says barbequed that any better. You got to throw a lot more pauses in there. All right. How about the ultimate pause? Just don't do it. I gotta keep working on though. Because you know, what the other day, somebody said more, Jerry Jones place more Jerry Jones impersonation. So I'm going to keep working on my Jerry Jones. And I will incorporate some pauses if you will find that to be to your lacking. Much better. So. Yeah. This is serious segment to what are we doing? What are you? What are you? What is wrong with you stats? Why would you play in this segment? Do the Jerry Jones voice now. You are such a liar. All right. So so anyway, the NFL didn't want that. Can you imagine if Robert Kraft Jerry Jones, all the movers and shakers are chiming in on what a bad guy on his birthday is it just takes away from all the good stuff right now. And to think that that's why decisions are made. But I think sometimes that's why decisions are made the bottom line is he's a menace. Robert Clem co has a mash up of all of the hit some of the heads. I don't know if it's all about it up. It's exhaustive. But vodkas perfect. That's who he is. And you know, the news that he and this comes from Ben Rothlisberger who said after the blow to the head of Antonio Brown. Perfect got up and pointed juju Smith, Schuster and said, you're next that's retribution from juju. Smith Schuster laying perfect out last year. And. You look at the reaction to my take that the guy should be banned once and for all the reaction has been mixed. Right. There are some people who say, hey this. You know, this is the kind of football they played in the seventy s we know what it's not the seventies. It's not Conrad Dobler time. Right. They're not stopping on people's legs. And people are looking the other way. There's a greater sensitivity by everyone. I've sensed among the players there's a greater sensitivity to taking care of each other. Somebody sent me a screen shot. Of has perfects likes on Twitter. Now, he has unliked this one because you know, what you can do on Twitter for those of you who aren't familiar with Twitter, if you have a Twitter account, you can post a message, you can re tweet other people's messages, and you can like messages that others have previously posted and your likes your laundry list of all of the tweets from others that you have pressed the like button on it's a little heart. If you click that little heart, it shows up with all the other ones you've liked and I'll do that. Like if I see a story. I want to write about I'll click like, I don't know what they all. Boy, you really like my story. Now, I'm just reminding myself that that's all I want to write about I may hate that story. But I'm reminding myself, that's what I want to write about. So I use that. And I go and I look through the likes. It's like all right. I got to this. When I got to that one. It's just it's an easy way to organize my thoughts. So there's different reasons why you would do it von has birthed liked. This message from at Eric Corbett seven. You're going to be mad when juju ends up like Shays ear birthed like that. That is reprehensible. So this guy does not belong in the National Football League. And I've said before that the chances of a player suing the league at this point over concussions. That's very slim because no one can claim that they don't know the risks. The concussion, litigation where thousands of people sued the NFL, and they reached that gigantic settlement that all flowed from the argument that the NFL deliberately and actively hid information from players about the risks of concussions. No one can make that argument now, but the one remaining area where you can get yourself into legal trouble is if you don't take reasonable steps to protect players, and when you have a guy who is saying these things doing these things clearly intending to injure targeting players for injury. And you don't take action against him by getting him off the field. You're setting yourself up. For the worst case scenario. Because eventually he's going to injure someone seriously potentially. He may not. I mean, maybe they're just hoping to run out the clock, and he'll just watch out of football before it ever becomes the kind of thing they have to deal with serious way. But if it does happen. I don't wanna hear no idea you could do that. Just playing football. I don't know who that is somebody really dumb who would try to use a flimsy excuse. Because you're on notice. Devante has CT is a menace. And look guys exit football all the time. I shed no tears for someone who behaves the way he does football will be better the day that he's gone from it for good. And that they should be today that.
