"This story has some wilpon. It has a little too much. Josh. Uh-huh. So what we're talking about? Here was the fight over the summer or the fall, right? It was in September or early October. I can't read it was in October. Yeah. Between Habib number. Good medoff and Conor McGregor. It ended with Habib getting con artists submit and then a beeps corner tried to get Connor's corner to submit that's. Haywire. And of course, they withheld the purse for both fighters, and there were suspensions and the news came out of Las Vegas yesterday. That Nurmagambetov was one of four fighter suspenders suspended and fined by the Nevada State Athletic commission on Tuesday. And he was he was suspended and find odd ton could be was the purse was two million dollars. He basically took a quarter of his worse away five hundred thousand grant he was suspended for nine months and find a five hundred listen he went over the fence. I mean, you can't do that you anytime. The paying customers are going to be you know, in harm's way, you have to come down way harder on him that you did I Conor McGregor. I don't think there's any doubt about that. You cannot go into the stand. My favorite part of this is the people that go, oh, you're gonna find him for fighting. It's a fighting sport. They just got done like that'd be like saying. Yeah. These guys in the NFL game. They just got done stabbing. Each other on the sideline, but they're hitting each other. So we'll look nor any of these. Basically could be nine months and five hundred thousand Conor McGregor fifty thousand dollar fine and six months suspension. All retroactive so Conor McGregor is is eligible to fight in April. Just a couple of months and for. Get off he can fight in where July July July six so. And then he's looking maybe to fight in November. We all know, this is leading to a rematch, and you know, what? And I think Nuremberg got I was going to win again. I think he's the best fighter out there. I don't think McGregor is going to beat them. But which is going to be interesting for the UFC because McGregor is that personality? And we see that. Once you start losing a bit is go to the wayside a number mcgaugh doesn't seem to have that that crazy personality, you know, for for a while was Ronda Rousey is a little bit of crazy. A half million less. We saw the crazy crazy that they wanted like Connor does. Pitfalls under that umbrella of the fight game. Because that's what everyone also points into. This is part of the fight game. He also wrestled a bears a kid, but that's a separate issue. So what does this mean? Well, our our favorite MMA reporter editorial Elwani your job role of the NFL Halawani MMA show was on with Keith Keith Olbermann on the six o'clock show and aerials basically saying don't ever expect to see Habib fight in Nevada. Again, he doesn't seem all that happy with the decision. I just spoke to his manager. Before never fight in the state of Nevada. And he goes to return at Madison Square Garden in November. So he doesn't see all to please. This evening. I get it. They took five hundred grand from. But again, I understand the fine. I mean, you just can't do what he did. There's plenty of other places of fighting going MSG. I think is pretty I think it would be received a pretty well. I also don't think he's never going to fight Nevada. Can't like that's one of those things. That sounds great now and then getting built back into the fight game. And it's all part of the build up of. All right. You know, we'll get him back to Nevada and it'll be an even bigger purse for all this one. I just find it hard to believe everything that these guys say because so much of it's built into that idea of trying to drum up interest in the potential rematch. And the next fight. Speaking of that rematch Brett Okamato our five rounds podcasts was on sports center with Tony Collins. And when he expects could even Connor to actually get in the ring again, how Bieb number two teammates involved in this Ababacar. He's actually his cousin and then Zubarah God who was a UFC featherweight. They were each involved at the UFC two Twenty-nine brawl. They jumped into the cage they traded some punches we Conor McGregor. Actually, they were each suspended for twelve months. They were suspended for a full year. Both of those guys have professional careers themselves. Is my belief that hobby is one of those guys who will say, hey, that's my team. They hopped into the cage to defend me. I'm not fighting until they're fighting. So we could actually see how he'd never sit out for an entire year sitting here. Right now today, I would guess that Habib's next fight takes place in November of this year at Madison Square Garden Conor McGregor. That's a different story out expecting back this summer. Look at at the end of the day. This is all leading to one thing. A bigger payoff for the rematch between Habib. Get off better get more than two million in the next. What you kind of get like ten mil for. I see what I think he got like close to ten million for that fight. So you got a lot more that's gonna want that thing. Even better the next fight. It's the problem is how much money do you make them back? FC is not only we know sold for four billion dollars. When did. But now, it's parts with us. It's on ESPN faucets. All these places. It's how many is are you going to bring a Conor McGregor still that? He's not winning. He's still and I don't blame. Again. He wants to stick up for his family nerve got up. But listen, they're there they were all in the wrong. He went over the fence into the crowd. Those two came into the ring and. Conor mcgregor? Who is just standing there at that point. So, you know, I get the suspensions and fines. But again, it's all leads who rematch one hundred percent, right. But again, the most important thing here was what junior just said, you can see all the USC on ESPN. Plus, it's a fabulous sign up. And it's really worth your time. You'll get a free subscription so go check out all the stuff and the UFC stuff on ESPN done. What can I tell you coming up? It was a very simple question was asked to a genius head coach and set of saying what time is it? He gave you how to build a clock. We'll try and explain all.

"Join us for another segment here. The great stand up comic actor producer former professional boxer as well. Sean Kerrigan, thanks for hanging out with us or another second. How bands great, man? Was what I was watching some of your stand up the other night, one of the funniest things you do you said, and you're a guy who used to be married like me. You said you can always tell when somebody's married when they take a breath in. Been very by the amount of air second before they answer. Ten years. Ten ten years. It's like a year or two short ones. Yeah. Yeah. Sherwin. Oh my goodness. We were just talking during the break about you. You you kind of miss the window here mixed martial. Let's get fifty said you Russell than you could box. And yeah, I think you would have been a natural for that for the UFC. And you know, what I mean when I moved out here for when I moved out here. I had a buddy of mine who was who is fighting. And he was I mean, he was pushing to try to get me to do. And I would go down there. And I'd roll some of the guys at Beverly Hills, you jitsu, and and you know, it was something that intrigued me, but I I came out here to be an actor. And I I kind of had already spent all my time and putting all that road work in and spend all that time training. So I kinda kinda missed it. I kind of you know, when I moved out here at already had already kinda settled into the fact that I was gonna fight anymore. But that would have been it would have been. I think I would you know, the guys that are doing I think it would have done a right? But the guys that are doing it. Now our supreme athletes. I mean, guys like, I mean, you look at these guys right now, I mean, especially like Cobb, I mean Conor McGregor like all these guys that are doing this. And they're starting at a young age all the everyone that's doing their starting at a young age said the guys are they're doing and her father was a world class wrestler. Yeah. He grew up with you in a box and family. What what do you think about now? Habib and Floyd Mayweather, look like they're gonna fight serious. He fought Connor. And you you watch that as well as I did he carried corner for about five or six rounds. And then he okay I've had enough of that. Conor specialty is striking though wrestler. How's he going to box with Lloyd Mayweather this mismatch me? I don't see how that would be. I mean, he's really going to have to carry Khabib because I don't think could be is is the strike is a striker. Yeah. But the interesting thing about that fight with Conor McGregor. And and could be is. I don't understand after that first round after he got him down. I don't understand why Connors corner did not say, hey, you stay in the center of the octagon stay in the center of the octagon circle around don't get anywhere near that fence because his takedown defense in the center of the octagon when could shoot in he could because you can sprawling and get his hips back, and he can even prevent the takedown. It's wind could get you up against the against the fence with the chain link and everything, and you you can't get your hips back because you can't get your feet, right? And and that's where that's his specialty. And I don't understand the after after that first round. They didn't say, hey, you stay in the center that octagon you circle not octagon. You go sideways. You don't do not do not press him or or or get pressed up against that cage. It looked like Carter was a little off with the timing that whole fight. You know, he hit him some good shots. But he never got him flush right on the job. Like he did with Jose Aldo. Ain't no he's been partying and selling his whiskey his suits. And I guess you always want to go with a guy who's been fighting over a guy who hasn't been fighting. You you give a guy a check for eighty million dollars who hasn't been fighting against the hungry guy. Like, oh, babe. Who's not rich yet? He's he's he's gonna crush them. And now that why wouldn't they give Connor a tune-up play? Why would they don't think he wanted? What risk it? Yeah. I guess, but why wouldn't they have him fight Pettus and then compete fight for? And then and then and then have them had the winner of those fight each of it in a rematch. If he if he trained hard maybe has an interim fight gets the timing back. Could he win a rematch against the I, you know, if he hits you never know anything can happen in the sport. And and he he really improved himself when he when he went against D as the second time. And so I don't know. I think I think the one thing he would have to do is is I I would hope that he would not he would stay away from that that fence like stay away stay away from there away from the cage. He's he's got. He's got to stay in the center and just try to try to try to win the boxing match. And when you talk about guy, I want to ask you about. This will come up here. Euboea former heavyweight fighter Tyson fury and Deontay wilder. They're going to be plenty at staple center. I think in December for the heavyweight championship, and it's called the lineal champion against the current heavyweight champion. You don't when fury five Ladimir clips goal was three years ago in two thousand fifteen Hanson decides mugging stick and his chin out slapping running. I could see maybe fury do on that too wild or maybe ugly out a twelve round decision. But he hasn't been fighting. He had to come back. He hasn't been he's gonna get clipped and get knocked down there two guys. He fought were. You know, we're we're we're just, you know, there was just you know, average guys that were they weren't even this. I don't even think I think there were blown-up cruiserweights, they weren't even real true heavyweights. So it's gonna be interesting. I think I outlook I'm picking wilder to knock him out. I think I think he's gonna I think he's gonna he's gonna Lanson shots. And I think it'd be probably in the mid to late arounds. You know, I think I think I think Tyson will probably frustrate them a little bit at the beginning. But I pick and wilder. That's leads gonna get clipped, and then maybe wilder Anthony Joseph see this is why I volunteered now to be Commissioner boxing boxing needs a Commissioner. A tough one man you guys will fly I would assign you've and you've got thirty days to sign to fight you two guys because the best fights in boxing, never happened. That may weather in pacu. We we waited eight years. Long. I'd say you've got thirty days to make this happen. If it doesn't happen. Both your license suspended. How'd you like not making any money? That'll make a fight happened. Right. Yeah. What do you think about Floyd in his early forties? And I'm of the opinion here. I think Floyd's very lucky to have come around in the era that he did here Sugar Ray, Leonard Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran Aaron Pryor, I think he loses to all those guys came around and my right ear came around in the right area when he calls himself the greatest ever come on. I mean, look those guys were different. It was it was just a different time. There was one championship. There wasn't all these different championships. So everybody had to fight each other examine those guys came up. They came apart. You know? I mean, you look at you look at that that that first round between Hearns in. Oh, one of the greatest. What are the greatest? I broke his right hand in round. God guys. I mean, they're just killing each other. They came they came out with bad intentions back then and you Don King and Bob Arum back in the day. They hated each other's guts. But if they could make a buck they'd make a fight they would work together. Yeah. That's what we don't see with HBO. And so time with the different promoters. They won't they if you're not in in a certain camp, these fights don't get made. It's ridiculous. Yeah. Not only that. But I think they also, you know, a lot a lot of these promoters really wanted they protect their fighters a lot, you know. And they smart business move because you don't want guys in you don't wanna get you wanna keep making money with these fighters. So especially if they're if they're a fan draw these fighters are so yeah, I don't. You know, I don't know what's going on with this Puerto box. I think you, and I were talking off affairs. You know? I think a lot of the there's been a hit to the youth programs in in the United traveling teams clubs in every city. Yeah. I grew up. I grew up fighting in those police athletic league gyms down in Miami. You know, and and I fought it Hadley park Clemente park Gibson park. All these these these great police athletic league gyms there were there for, you know, for for for us to get us off the streets and get them. Getting all the great trainers have passed on as well. That's another problem. The guys today aren't taskmasters. Don't teach the skill the way the old guys did. Yeah. It's overlooking. You're going to the World Series. They brought in Clayton Kershaw to close in the ninth inning. Yeah. Man. There we go. So what's the what's your prediction for the World Series? Now who is in and how many games, look, I look I'm definitely rooting for the dodgers and very worried about the Red Sox. I can't you know. I mean, I'm obviously rooting for rooting for the dodgers. I, unfortunately, I'm worried that the Red Sox might be a little bit too good. So, but we'll see Sean Kerrigan the great stand up comedian one of the funniest men in the world. Can you stick around? Are you going to go, man? He's gotta hang out here that Jim Nelson. See, that's that's how you set out. You're making a fool out of yourself up and up and down back there. The producer engineer Jim Nelson. Going to the World Series. That's right. What do you mean? We I didn't see you out there. We are.

"In sports and in life. He was shamed. He said he was couldn't have been more disappointed. He was Dana white after the fight on ESPN and doing this for eighteen years and. The biggest night ever. I couldn't be more disppointed. Have you talked to Khabib? Right? Not what did he say to you in the octagon who had b by talking to him in the octagon? Yeah. So I said he said, put put my belt on me and I said, no, we're not going to put the belt on you because I think that the fans are gonna go crazy and they're gonna throw stuff in here. He says, I don't care. I'm ready for this. I'm ready for this. I said, yeah. Well, the other twenty thousand people that are sitting here paid for tickets already for this. Run the other soundbite to Kenny, go forth. This is what he said Habib diving over was ridiculous. I mean, you just want a great fight. You fought brilliantly here about to get the belt on, and people are going to respect the fact that you, you know, you fought well and you wanna fight. But instead you dive over the the cage and start to huge male Connors corner, it's bad. There's going to be an investigation by the Nevada Athletic Commission and. And it's going to be big money fines, and these guys are in big trouble. Now, this is a man who's in charge of an organization that let's be honest with everybody is going to reap a ton of money for the rematch that Connors already tweeted out that he wants and Connor didn't even press charges against the stooges that jumped the fence and jumped him from Kabibi group. He didn't press charges. You know why? Because he knows how difficult it is to make a fight when you have charges against you. He wants to fight. We'll as fans CNN and we're like, oh my God. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. It's awful. Nobody got hurt. Oh gosh. What are they going find again? And Dana white could have again in this day and age gone out and said, yeah, that was bad. Nobody got hurt. How awesome was that? Isn't everybody watching. Can't wait for the rematch. Yeah, we'll deal what the athletes commission best. We can. We'll figure it out. They really didn't mean it. You go ahead and compose yourself after the stuff that Connor said he could have absolutely said that. Because in this day and age, nobody's ashamed of anything anymore. Let's callers. We see it in this day and age. Nobody owns being contrite because it's viewed is weak. That's fact. And he didn't do it. He actually was ashamed and Dana. I wanna say to you, thank you for that for real and I can't believe that's an outlier anymore in our society. But that is the fact of the case, because people should not be jumping over fences and throwing haymakers when anybody who just bought a ticket could have been caught up in that nonsense. So thank you Dana white because guess what? At some point, this little die down, figure out how to make ton of money, the UFC's going to figure it out. Everybody's gonna figure it out because that fight was something else. And then you wanna tune in to see what happens next. But thank you Dana white for having the right tone. It's bad. We shouldn't do that at some point. We'll turn the page the crazy not to. If we find out that nobody got hurt. And if the proper amount of fines is thrown in there, and if somebody broke the law, put him on a bucks. The Connor you ought to bracelets in New York City where they don't mess around. Eight, four, four, zero, four twenty hear from you on that. Kenny Florian's going to be in studio on that. Michael K's gonna join us as Yankees and Red Sox play game three in the AL d. s tonight? All nodded and one. Any of those home runs landed yet? Oh, my gosh. She's and what did I tell you about David price. We'll get to that. "You just want a great fight you fought brilliantly here about the get the belt on and people are going to respect the fact that you, you know, you fought well, and you want to fight. But instead, you dive over the cage and start this huge male Connors corner. And that all happened. And you're right. It was. That when anyone wants to see right way right after the fight could even never met off immediately looks over at Conor McGregor. Pam points them out star John with them. And there've been a lot of things said and done before this fight. That led to all this moment. The media tour Conor McGregor holds nothing back as camp hold nothing back. They history of saying some pretty problematic stuff, and this was no exception. And so Khabib loses his cool in a moment. Right after the fight jumps the fence, which tells you everything again, we do because we heard someone dubbed malice in the palace the pistons Pacers brawl. Over the top of this and the audio, of course, matches up perfectly. But it's a reminder that one's basketball. You've got a direct line from the court to the to the fans in the UFC. The sport is so violent. They put a cage between the guys fighting and everyone watching in the crowd Kabaeva nervous off breach. That cage went out into the crowd. Started fighting with Connors camp people from from his camp ended up in the cage. Boxing, connor. He got sucker punched in there. It spilled over in a way that was a mess. An absolute mess of a scene. That being said, I don't know if there are any real ramifications for this. I don't know. What the UFC I guess has to decide is how much the image of you could save professionalism. But the image of running a tight operation matters to them. Because the UFC in my mind, isn't like every other sport. Because most other sports we talk about what a year long time line. It is for them. Most other sports we talk about the NBA turned itself into a year round business for free agency. And these guys being big names and stars that we follow and the NFL has been that way for a long time with the combine in the draft just constantly keeping its name in your mouth. Do you have see is an event based business now it's one where the events can happen year round. But it's event based in a way that keep these guys out for a while. And then you get the promotional tour in the fight. And then they go away for a little while. You don't have to deal with UFC five seven days a week Brennan sixty five days a year in that same way. And so we have time to forget things like this and only take away the good. We will most people most of us be casual UFC walks out of that says man, I can't wait for the rematch. That's all I wanna see. And in the end, this will all just be part of the buildup for that. It'll be another reason to tune into a press conference before this with all this bad blood that you've mustered up it'll be another reason to shell out pay per view bucks. Again for a fight that quite frankly could be Nurmagambetov dominated for most of it. It felt like gave him absolute work. But would still be entertaining. This would absolutely be a promotional tool for the next fight. I would be shocked if you didn't see cuts of this built into the promotional material handed out. So Dana white can talk about potential repercussions for this. All he wants is the president of the do you feel like like, what is what is it going to happen to be his title? What do you think is an appropriate punishment? I don't know we need we need to see what happens here. Again, we need to see how this plays out. Nobody's ever done that nobody should ever do that, you know. And then the other guys jumping in and start going after Conor the guy just fought for hard rounds. And you guys are gonna jump in fresh and try to, you know, this is it's bad. It's all bad first. And last Michael junior here on ESPN radio and the ESPN app. It's all it's all bad. Or is it I mean, it it's deciding what you want to be because they heard a sound from someone there before said, we're trying to make this legitimate. We're trying to take this deal to the Olympic level. And you want the showcase to be about the athletes in there. But I think it's still ends up being that you watch these fights in your overcome by the brutality in the skill and all these different things. And maybe keeping that close legit center. This matters. Because a lot of this has felt very pro wrestling that goes back to Conor McGregor throwing stuff at the side of a bus all the hysteria surrounding that a fight with a boxer that was one of the biggest events for the UFC or for boxing in quite some time. You have all this show up. But in this case this element. The fact that the violence is so real and the tension in the anger seemed so legitimate. That's you're selling point. Right. That's what this sport has been almost every other sport pales in his just the sheer brutality, and for some people that will always be a turnoff and for everyone else. "That voice you hear a disappointed and dejected Dana white distraught over what went down after the UFC lightweight championship. Nurmamedov versus Conor McGregor this weekend. In a fight that ended with a rear, naked, choke and a win for nursing a medoff. Your lightweight champion of the UFC Conor McGregor. The known force the known commodity the known face the UFC goes down on this one. But it's everything that happened after the fight that is making the most waves this morning and. You hear from Dana white, and he is as someone who cares greatly about this disgusted about what happened doesn't believe. There's any place for it. Calls it ridiculous Connors corner. Man. Got this thing going be diving over was ridiculous. I mean, you just want a great fight you fought brilliantly here about to get the belt on and people are going to respect the fact that you know, you fought well, and you want to fight. But instead, you dive over the cage and start this huge male O'Connor's corner. And that all happened. And you're right. It was not what anyone wants to see right way. Right after the fight could even never up immediately. Looks over at Conor McGregor stamp points. Them out starts John with them. And there have been a lot of things said and done before this fight. That led to all this moment. The media tour Conor McGregor holds nothing back as camp hold nothing back. They history of saying some pretty problematic stuff, and this was no exception. So. Kabibi loses his cool in a moment. Right after the fight jumps the fence, which tells you everything again, we do because we heard someone dubbed malice in the palace, the old pistons Pacers brawl over the top of this and the audio, of course, matches up perfectly. But it's a reminder that one's basketball. You've got a direct line from the court to the to the fans in the UFC sport is so violent. They put a cage between the guys fighting and everyone watching in the crowd Kabaeva, nervous, medoff breach. That cage went out into the crowd. Started fighting with Connors camp people from from his camp ended up in the cage. Boxing, connor. He got sucker punched in there. It spilled over in a way that was a mess. Absolute mess, obscene. That being said, I don't know if there are any real ramifications for this. I don't know. What the UFC I guess has to decide is how much the image of you could save professionalism. But the image of running tight operation matters to them. Because the UFC in my mind, isn't like every other sport. Because most other sports we talk about what a year long time line. It is for them. Most other sports, we talk about the NBA turned itself into a year round business, but free agency, and these guys being big names and stars that we follow and the NFL has been that way for a long time with the combine in the draft just constantly keeping its name in your mouth, the UFC is an event based business now it's one where the events can happen year round. But it's event based in a way that keep these guys out for a while. And then you get the promotional tour in the fight. And then they go away for a little while you don't have to deal with UFC five seven days a week brand sixty five days year in that same way. And so we have time to forget things like this and only take away the good we want most people most of us me casual UFC fan walks out of that says man, I can't wait for the rematch. That's all I wanna see. And in the end, this will all just be part of the build up for that. It'll be another. The reason to tune into a press conference before this with all this bad blood that you've mustered up it'll be another reason to shell out pay per view box again for a fight that quite frankly could be nervous medoff dominated through most of it. It felt like gave him absolute work. But would still be entertaining. This would absolutely be a promotional tool for the next fight. I would be shocked if you didn't see cuts of this built into the promotional material handed out. So Dana white can talk about potential repercussions for this. All he wants is the president of the UFC. Do you feel like like, what is what is he going to happen to Habib his title? What do you think is an appropriate punishment? I don't know we need we need to see what happens here. Again, we need to see how this plays out. Nobody's ever done that nobody should ever do that. And then the other guys jumping in and start going after Conor the guy just fought for hard rounds. And you guys gonna jump in fresh and try to, you know, this is it's bad. It's all bad first. And last Michael junior here on ESPN radio and the ESPN app. Doll. It's all bad. Or is it? I mean, it's deciding what you wanna be because they heard a sound from someone there before we're trying to make us the it. We're trying to take this deal to the Olympic level. And you want the showcase to be about the athletes in there. But I think it's still ends up being that you watch these fights in your overcome by the brutality in the skill and all these different things. And maybe keeping that close legit center of this matters. Right. That's what this sport has been almost every other sport pales in just the sheer brutality, and for some people that will always be a turnoff and for everyone else. It'll be the reason you tune in to see what borders the most on an actual man on man combat situation that we've got. Look at it. I I look at it like this. So over the I think this is over the weekend or last week the graffiti artists banks world famous graffiti artists over the weekend pulls off this stunt. And as soon as it happens as soon as the sale goes final adoption, the triggers a mechanism inside the picture's frame. And you see the picture start feeding through the bottom and a shredder built into the lining of the artists frame shreds the picture that just sold for one point four million dollars. And you look people in the crowd are wearing all this shot. They are blown away by what's happened blown away. "Best phones best networks. No contracts will get to the worst day in the NFL and a team that has done it every which way so far through five games. The Browns stat that we all so covet shot directly into my Instagram. DM's? This UFC fight this weekend was wild. Absolutely wild. So we talked about it on Friday be fight. Everyone was talking about going into the weekend. The UFC light heavyweight championship. Khabib number. Good medoff versus Conor McGregor. The known commodity the public facing brand of the Conor McGregor. Versus the challenger who we saw video of on Friday wrestling a bear as a child had so right their interest level game on through the roof and every bit of this delivered every bit of it from the undercard where I found my new sports obsession. And I can't play a single thing that this guy said for you guys. But Derek Lewis is a star. I I don't know anything else about him other than what he said in his post fight presser and in the ring after his win. And the manner in which he won which is by knockout where he is down the entire fight and scores knock out in the final round can't say anything else about it. But that post fight interview was electric, and I immediately went fall that man on Twitter because I need to know more about what happens to him from here on out. But when it got to the main event. Up to the billing now, it was a for a lot of us for a lot of the casual UFC fans coming into this. We knew Conor McGregor. We'd seen him fight Floyd Mayweather. We certainly knew about him as a guy who was probably the most well known UFC fighter of all time up until this point as far as a guy who came into the sport and was a part of its growth to the point where it's been now, maybe as much or more so than anyone he was what we came into this knowing for sure for everyone else could be off as much as we'd heard about his sterling record coming into this and found out about the bear fighting stuff on Friday. Seeing him in the ring now for the first time I opening because this guy was absolutely given it to Conor McGregor for four rounds. And we knew ground and pound guy. Grappler was going to get him in that spot. But to see the way just physically it seemed like he overpowered CONNER for the majority of that fight was I opening, but none of that will be what this fights remembered for never good medoff who gets the rear naked choke for the win in the fourth round. Becomes the UFC light-heavyweight? Learnt excuse me, lightweight champion. All of that. And what will be remembered for is the fact that the post game fight was such mayhem. He didn't even get to actually walk out of the ring with the belt. Now for anyone that may have missed it could be off a mmediately after the fight looks out in the crowd and starts pointing directly. Conor McGregor trainer. And we think. All right. There's a good bit of bleep talking. That's kind of what goes down. We seen the prefight tour of the presser here. All of those things come up starts pointing at real quickly. Yeah. How terrifying is that? If you're mcgregor's trainers this guy, he's nine celebrating the Victor. He's looking for more. You don't want. I don't think for for any of us. Like we've seen like the Drake reaction face in the crowd enough coming off this weekend to know that for any mere mortals that would be terrified like, oh, no, he's he's he's turning it on me. Like, I heard somebody dubbed this up with malice in the palace sound. And that is spot on what would have been like, oh, he's really coming out here. Their sport is so violent. They have to literally put a cage between you and the crowd. Like, there is a cage separating these guys in the ring. From the polite society outside of it. But the trainers are a part of that like sit group of individuals. So they see that. And they're thinking game on bet. Most of those guys are fighters most of those guys are in this world. And so they see that may think game on but the rest of us don't think the guys are gonna climb out of the cage and all of a sudden Kabaeva number good medoff goes into internet meme history climbs out of this cage and just flying jumps directly at MacGregor's trainer. And from there all hell breaks loose because then you've got guys flying into the ring trying to box Conor McGregor. You see him? Get sucker punched a little bit in this. It spills over into fights after in the concourse. It is just an absolute melee so much. So that Joe Rogan after the fight comes into the ring and says the reason I'm not gonna TIs telling this. To compete Nurmamedov who is getting the reward for all the hard work. He's put into this tells them he can't even give them the belt. Because he's afraid it's going to incite more drama and more chaos in there because Dana white excuse me, assuming Joe Rogan's evolved. Everything's data. Dana white white guys. We all look the same. Dana white hops into the ring and says, I can't even give you the belt. Because I'm afraid this crowd that we already figured miss mixing as many as many Russian. Supporters in the crowd and has many Irish supporters. They were going to be in the crowd. There was already going to be that natural bit of tension that you saw spillover in the congress. He didn't want it redouble that he didn't want more people throwing things into the ring. He didn't want more drama surrounding this. Dana white who after this fight called pretty much everything we saw completely ridiculous Connors cornerman. Got this thing going Habib diving over was ridiculous. I mean, you just want to a great fight you fought brilliantly here about to get the belt on and people are going to respect the fact that you, you know, you fought well, and you want to fight. But instead, you dive over the cage and start this huge melee with Connors corner. Is the president of the UFC? Do you feel like like, what is what is going to happen to Habib his title? What do you think is an appropriate punishment? We need we need to see what happens here. Again, we need to see how this plays out. Nobody's ever done that nobody should ever do that, you know. And then the other guys jumping in and start going after Conor the guy just fought for har- Browns. And you guys gonna jump in fresh and try to, you know, this is it's bad. It's all bad first. And last Michael junior here on ESPN radio and the ESPN app is it? Because in my mind, it's it's basically deciding what you want to be. Now what's going to happen? Here is they're going to schedule the rematch. That's what's going to happen. Like, I'll wait and see the pay per view numbers for this. But the interest gained by something like this. We're already you came into this fight with one of the fighters on the line for the title, and the most famous fighter in the history of your sport having been most recently well known for fighting a boxer and then throwing a ladder through the window of a bus. Or whatever the hell was he threw in the window of bus? But you get my idea. That's where all of this kind of starts from so with that in mind, and with the interest garnered from that, you've got a decision because my mind, I look at this and say, yes like on the surface you laugh because we just watched these two guys beat each other's faces in a whole Carter fights under that beat each other's faces in and then we act surprised when people get done and still want to beat each other's faces. And put it someone who played a violent sport and football. You understand that there's always line? There's always the place that crosses what's accepted inside this. Because if there weren't rules that would be a Malay into the crowd every night. There's enough violence, and there's enough energy that goes into these things, but for the UFC, you gotta decide because. You started off a sport that was highly violent. You started off a sport. That was barbaric to the point where some people were pushed away by it. And then you work your way more into the mainstream and became part of the culture and all this stuff. And now, you're at a point where have started to become some of these elements of pro wrestling in it, and you may have heard it when we were coming back from break. But someone from the UFC saying we want this to be taken. Seriously, we want this taken to the Olympic level. But in a world where entertainment is so prioritize. That's what we got. Like, you got a great fight. You got a worthy champion over the guy that had been in the face of your sport. And you also got being the lead story now for all the wrong reasons. But when that fades, what are the rest of us saying? Can't wait for the rematch. You can be as disgusted and indignant as you want. All we're saying is all right. When's the next one? Because now you've got all this natural build up and lead into that. Again, feels very pro wrestling feels very WWE in a way that may make the UFC cringe a little bit and Dana white is saying all the right things. And I believe him. I believe that. He's disgusted when something you care about what legitimized in this way. But for the USC business model, I can't see this being anything but a net positive. Maybe maybe that's me to pull back. Maybe that's me. Too much is the general fan. But man feel like.

"And when I when I look at this and I step back and take a look at the situation, I'm going to start off by when I say, give you my take on this. I originally picked could be to win the fight and could be did win to fight. But the day of the fight I changed the day before the fight. I changed my prediction to Connor just because I knew how bad could be getting into Connor had gotten into could be head. But what transpired after the fight in my opinion was just disgusting. It was. It was my, it was a event. It was. It was a great event that ended in such a way that I thought it was. The biggest black is that the UFC has ever received event reminded me a lot of the Holyfield Mike. Tyson fight. Now that was a mutt that one that was an absolute crazy event. I was actually posed to be at that event, but I didn't go. But. When you look at what, what transpired, where after could be stopping Connor, and we're going to touch on the fight could be started to yell at at Connor. And then he turns around, he takes his my peas out and he throws it at the fence, and he starts yelling outside the ring, and he's yelling at Connors corner. Then out of nowhere, he jumps over the cage and he actually attacks a member of Conner's camp. Then another crazy thing happened where one member of Conner's camp came while Connor was on the ground and kinda recovering one. Connor one of the members came at Connor Connor, and and you know, approach Connor in a aggressive way like he was going to hit him. Another member jumped over the cage and came from behind and tried to hit Connor from behind the other. Member through a punt ended up being a Malay in the ring while could be was attacking the members outside the ring. I thought it was discussing I personally think, and I Camilo I'll let you talk in just a second. I personally think I'm gonna go out right on the line. I'm a fan of Connor. I'm a fan of could be could be is one of my absolute favorite people. To watch in a UFC, but I personally think could be should be suspended, could be should be fined. And here's the big one I think could be should be stripped of the title with that. I'm gonna throw it over the u. her mellow. What do you think about what I just said? And do you agree? Disagree. Tell me what you think we have not had a chance to talk about this whatsoever. So I'm very curious to see what your take is on this. Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. I mean was it took me by surprise completely. I mean, after he choked out McGregor and then that happened, I was so surprised. And one of the first things that I thought it was this is sculpting, the should not be happening. I get it McGregor with his antics, guiding your head and salted him, so it could be, but this should not have happened. He should have been able to control himself and I do agree. I think it should be stripped. And should be fine. Now, there's one more thing that's probably going to happen. Not only is he going to have to deal with Nevada commission and possibly the some sort of sanction from the, but even Dana was saying that he might not be allowed to the country. Again, fight, you know his his, his. His passport and things like that could be in serious danger. I don't know if it will be when you have when you have lawyers involved, you can stop a lot of things. A lot of that was brought up when Connor attacked the bus and they were talking about, they were worried that Connor will not be able to get a passport to the fight back in the u comeback into the US again. But when you have when you if you have quality lawyers, I don't think that will happen, but it is a possibility. I think there's a big difference even though I thought Connor should have been suspended for what he did with the bus situation..

"Victorious over Conor McGregor fourth round submission in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Abib immediately going over the octagon and a melee. We might have to return this because I dare say it was over everything and five to seven minutes. But in that five to seven minutes, we all had to be thinking. How much worse can this. Get it didn't escalate beyond that Dana white UFC, president his press conference immediately following your perspective. You're sitting there watching it. What unfolded as far as you could tell one of Connor's guys was talking smack. To Habib Habib just ran and dove over the octagon and went after him. Wow. That was happening to of beeps guys jump over the octagon go after Conor. So what happens? Now, you have a melee of two Malays basically going on. I say down. What are the next steps here? Listen, the commission is holding both checks than Athletic Commission, holding both of checks. You know, we're we're turning over film, Nevada State Athletic commission, right now, they're going to wash the count me. And this is a big deal. Could be suspension for Habib. You know, these guys going to get visas again to get back in the country. Big fines. That's why they're holding their purses. It's a big deal. How do you feel about how Bieb his actions just him? Well, that was listened Connors corner. Man, got this thing going Habib diving over was ridiculous. I mean, you just want a great fight you fought brilliantly here about to get the belt on and people are going to respect the fact that you know, you fought well, and you want to fight. But instead, you dive over the cage and start this huge male O'Connor's corner. I actually didn't allow him to get the belt put on because I knew what was going to happen. When we did it people in start throwing whatever they had down into the octagon. I said, let's just get him outta here buffer announce it and sure enough as soon as they started going through the tunnel. Exactly what I knew it was going to happen. I was like we'll be lucky enough just to get him out of here without the belt. So it's bad is going to be an investigation by the Nevada Athletic Commission, and. And it's going to be big money fines, and these guys aren't big trouble. See president Dana white with our own bread. Okamoto? Brett host of the five rounds podcasts. Insider if Dana white, hey, we heard him there. There's going to be punishment. If it comes off as a slap on the wrist. You begin to think that deep down and privately Dana white says, you know, what this for our sport. People are talking about it. True fans are defending us. Other people are going to turn in. If we did have our record numbers that we were an -ticipant eating for Saturday night in Vegas, both at the gate in terms of pay per view buys those people are going to come back for number two. We're going to give them what they want. So if it's a light punishment for Habib. Ultimately is a sport. Is the sport telling you were fine with how things happen. I will say it again, I can be fine with the fact that this happened, but it was taken care of by all the officials who were involved in stopping that from going any further.
