"Well have you one. It's Connie Fife and went back with another episode of the Connie Fife Show and I just wanted to thank everyone for being here for for coming back and these last. Oh my gosh. How long has it been six weeks or some people? It's probably going on two months. Just really hang in there going through the pandemic and I know for us. I mean we really dove and and we've updating our website Where a second of updating the website for con Sierra while also updating the website or or Connie five and the Connie five show and Oliver course programs and we had this full conversation strategy strategy conversation over the weekend with our team and actually sat there and start laughing because we were talking about comedy five because five is the brand honey. Five is the program. I started talking about myself as a third person. Okay let's take. I'm like wait a minute. Who talking cutting five is a third person did it. Was this really funny. We finally came up with everything that we do. Is We talked about? Being unstoppable unstoppable together. And you know in our branding our trademarks and it's all about going beyond and so that's what we're here to do a we're here to help you go be on and that's exactly what our guest does for today and let me just tell you a little bit of her going to be talking about. Being the leader of your own life and our guest is a leadership and entrepreneurial coach Professional Services Consultant Her Wallace Mentor and she's the founder and CEO of the Global Professional Services Company Bella P. Mo and love that name and she is over thirty years experience in operational excellence. Change Management Culture Transformation and business consulting. She has inspired thousands of individuals including fortune five hundred executives government agencies nonprofit organizations athletes and veterans. So now get this. She's she's respected a respected executive leadership coach in particular encouraging leadership capabilities of woman in business. And you know we left that and working with women and helping them achieve things in the workplace at home and in the wider community and she has featured alongside luminaries. Such as O'Brien Melinda Gates Ginny Rummy in the twenty nine thousand nine publication of Americans leading ladies will welcome to the I've show Leyla Hancock. How are my money? I'm so glad to be here. I mean you've just done some amazing amazing things I read I was out. I like to say I go stocking all of my guests to find out more about you and in what you do as some of the work that you've John has just been just been incredible and I mean dirty years I mean some of our our. Our journey are pather. Our timeline is kind of been this same in some of the work that we've done. So how did you get featured alongside folks like Oprah a Melinda Gates? I mean some of those folks. I was looking at that. That public ation of America's leading ladies allows us like. Wow this honor to have you here on our show. Well thank you so much and I'm honored to be in this book When I got the phone call he was one of one of those magic moments. Where you know like even asking a lot of questions for different things to show up in your life and your Langley next in my journey and I got the phone call. And actually I've been in a couple of other books like with Steve Jobs and actual Bras Arman others. That was America's leaders legends. So that's kind of what started a few years ago. Okay and then kind of lead into this one in this a little more special. It's really bringing fifty women from America. Who really are doing leadership different and looking at leadership not just like I got the answer There is never a problem where we cannot be leaders and for my particular. Ame was really about you being the leader of your life for now in the future because we have to include the future and how creating things today I mean indefinitely and and things. I mean just recently discussed shaken up. I mean we just got everything just got turned upside down and I've talked to some people that have stepped back because they're living in a place of fear but others have really taken hold of their lives and said I need to take control of my life. I need to take control of my future. Because whether they have their own business or whether they've been working for an organization may have lost her job so you know so they have to step up they have to take control of your life to have to take control of their future. So the message that you've been putting out there for years is exactly what they need to be doing. Be taking a look at right now. Acts really interesting. How the timing coming cords? The end of the year I can recall but yeah towards the end of the year Ivan talking. You know I've been sharing at least the last four or five months and I was just amazed at it really was preparing us being leaders. Today I work with executives who've been leaders like pretty much their whole entire life and how off to watch how many of through this quarantine time right were were putting their voicing quarantine they were putting their leadership in quarantine as well kind of sitting back and waiting hoping that the government or someone else is gonNa tell them what to do right. That's not what this is about. Yes there's GonNa be some direction that we're going to get from our leaders within the going line but you have to be that leader right right. And if and if you're running an organization your people are looking to you for that direction. Yeah and you know so. Many people are also panic. Firing people and laying off doing. There's a lot that's happening. Based on what you're describing the people that are standing back and going into the People they're like okay. There's some unknown components hear writing nuture. It doesn't look anything like yesterday. In what is now required. What do we need to put in place today? Like how do we use this new? You know white canvas of what the future limbs right advantage really right right to to our advantage and if you take a look back who I mean take a look back nine eleven take a look back at Oh seven Oh a twenty twenty. Ten people were fearful. You know two thousand ten where we're going to have this mass explosion. This mass exodus all of the new business. That came out of Fash. Oh Yeah and you know in everything that fell to the wayside because there was changed. You Know Uber came out of that. Airbnb came out of that so many new businesses came out of that. So right now. It's it's opportunity I mean I'm always of the mindset of the glasses glasses half. Aw what can we do with this? How can we look at this differently and so I just I'm always hungry for more information? How can we look at things differently? And that's what we've been doing is looking looking at the best business our business and saying okay. Where can we look at things? How can we sharpen our pencil? And how can we again look at things differently? Like I said we were a couple of weeks ago. We looked at our label and said okay. How will we tightening things up? And then now we looked at all of our other products of what we have and again tying all of that up and it led us to taking all of what we have and funneling that all up to create one solid product. And so that's where we're at with that so really. It's not the time to to take a back seat so with all the work that you've done on what I what I've been meeting. How do you help someone? How'd you really instill in them to make them a priority through all of this to everything that's happening? Well you know it takes the initiative of the person as well. You know what has to change in my life. Something has to change in my careers like me. You're there to give people information when they're not ready to receive it. It's just go in one year and out the other he is when you're looking at your life and that's the magic of right now. This is the moment for us to actually ask questions. Okay so kate. What's working in my life? Even the things that are working. Can I make them even greater how can I make them even better? And then even the business like you said. I think there's a difference I I'm I'm watching. People go into like two pieces. They're either saying okay. This is a time that we were GONNA remove things. We're GONNA make it. There's not a lot so they go into the scarcity of it okay. Daddy's unfortunately usually where you kill your business but downs kind of where I see it and then there's the other side that's like you know what okay we can panic. That's one of our options. But instead what can we create here? How can we take these lemons? Make lemonade out of it. Really like this is your opportunity but the new world where it's different is that we were on autopilot. You know many pieces box. They're like I have to go to work. I go to work I do this. This is my job as a leader. This is my job as an employee. This is my job and then they kind of rewrote teeth APP through every day. Even if it their bodies got sick or whatever lake This autopilot. I don't know how else to say. You cannot live on autopilot anymore. Now that's a great analogy the new World GonNa ask you every ten seconds you get to choose something different so okay now what now. What's available to me now? What what I like. You know my my one of my most favorite questions. I tell people. Hey sit down in front of your computer in front of a pen and paper. Whichever style you love have something. You enjoy your coffee. That brings you joy at your water. Is it your juice? Whatever like how I get your body like joyful and then start asking what would I like to add to my life.

"Highly one. It's cutting five and welcome back to another of the Connie fife show so we have a guest to convert a return just in our conversation today has as continually Republican recorded three episodes of our show. Justin Day the station. That now that we've been having a little bit of the same background of what we we've been doing. His name. Is Steve Zapata. See Welcome to the show. How are you? I'm actually county? Thanks for having me on. This is Great Steve. I mean I know you for a while and I decided today I was going to go out and it was gonNA look a little bit more about you about your background the night that I wanna really find out with the sky so you are the author of two top selling books. Twenty things you need to learn to find a love in your life. Stop dating all the wrong people. In twenty five years ago I could probably use but but then I probably read a book similar because I did find the right guy in which J don't worry I know but I did. Some deep all did. Didn't we ask everybody listening? They'd go all my Gotcha. She heard my story. I go every all right right. We we put a book together just some those evening dating nightmares. And then your other book is become the go-to person for your own success. And you will find your path your motivation and your strength to succeed in life as never be four so so you bet a corporate trainer a motivational speaker for over thirty years. And you look twenty. Hey I love you too. And you have trained. Thousands of people unsuccess- principles management principles and life achievement. Save all of that. Then you became a relationship book author and yet you are here now with a coaching program. And you're helping others find loving success but you also turning small businesses who are struggling Business success and you're also helping who are looking to be those those successful those high five stars beakers in the big stage so you had like a phenomenal career wave John. We we just sharing those challenges of cigarettes that we worked with especially Allen. Gebran there especially those that are calling us because we've had some of those same conversations these last couple of weeks people calling say I'm going to be a speaker. I want to step into the state and I WANNA make six figures. Nick next week at. We both were like. Oh look let's go for it. How do you plan to do that tell I just I like to have fun with what I do and I tell people you're not having fun with what you're doing now quit? Wanted something else about five real like two minute matter of fact if you look it up on leaked interceptors. I've got videos out there and I'm putting them up probably this week but their two minute videos from Sabado on different things and one of them was I want it and I want it right now and that's just saying you know. Oh my God I want to be a big name speaker and I want to do it right now. Would takes a little while it takes snow one right. I've already done this. I've already done. I had one guy said I run to six figure companies right now. I know I can speak. I want to do it right now. I went okay so once you come to my event. I've got an event coming up in March in Tampa and I said won't you come to. You can hear what we have to say. Maybe pick up some tips. No I I got. Adhd I'M NOT GONNA be able to sit for two days way first of all you have to six businesses and you didn't have to sit okay so I want okay. Is there another alternative and then Connie and I would go well? Yeah now you can take our coaching personal. You know a lot more money to get US personally. Well that's ridiculous. I'm not going to pay that kind of money. I know by now speak. Steve What are you going to teach? You know how to speak does get me stage to hire the. I know what I'm talking about. What is the problem? We that we so the first thing I always ask people. They tell they're expert speakers. Are you making five thousand dollars per talk and they go well? No I go there something. You're missing what looked like they don't have one what your speaker website looked like. Well I don't really have one dedicated to speak. Okay so then. What does your one sheet look like and they go my what in your what you what you sing your deck. You have a media can do. You have a recent photo at yourself. Oh Yeah this one I was twenty eight and I am. I am I am not. I am not in no way at all making fun of or or abusing anyone. It's it's not. It's just that I really want people to understand because again they come to us and they think that they're been. They could do this next week. And they're going to be jetsetter and they're gonNA speak for our you're going to be cruising around the world tested work that way and I think what's interesting about. That is if you ask them if you decided to be a doctor tomorrow. Would you just think you're going to become a doctor? Would you have to go back to college schooling? If you're going to be an engineer tomorrow would you have a vast for some train? You see everything you do. Whether it's a realtor realtor still have to go to school and still have to be trained on how to sell houses. Everything requires some kind of training to get lice. Where you're the expert in your field and that's what Jianye help you do reason. Connie's in Business Steve visits. Just to make some money we're not the gurus we don't want to be the Tony Robbins. Making forty eight million dollars this year because we hired forty eight hundred people that we think you want to know. We work with you. We talk with you. We connect with you on a personal level. I just had this wonderful huge conversation. How she talks to people trying to find out what they really wanted how she can help them. That's what we do. That's why we're worth some goodman but not guru money and we want you to understand that we can help you make some really nice money but there's a path you have all and modeling that package where she's an expert just top. Yeah well Dave. I mean really to to to to do that and for people to understand that there is a step that there is a process to get there and now no I mean eat there. There are speakers out there and they do this for a living They doing it and the other. The other thing is chew on now again with with your speakers and thing nat when we're working with ours again. They come on our label and you know we talk about. Don't speak for free. How ever there's always always however exception of rules are made to be broken is always always always however you know if there's at opportunity where you're going to be on the same stage as a very successful. Hurson and maybe either you now that Alicia Reviewer Bolus and you have an opportunity to be their tanks heads absolutely. Somebody called me. He called me up just like a month ago. Connie and they said hey you can be on stage with and I don't remember the names I I'll throw up. Make up some names but grant car. Don't somebody else. You could be on stage with them. See we had an opening. I went great. How much they said ten thousand dollars I went. I don't need that kind of publicity right now out but you know what they must have had four five six other speakers who paid that now if that's where you're at a highly recommend that sometimes that if you've seen in the right circles you suddenly move up if you're making five thousand and you're seen on those stages two or three times now you're worth ten thousand so there isn't an are times when not only we speak for free but you might pay to speak but we highly recommend against it under most of us as speakers. You're not wanting to be the YOU WANNA go out and make ten thousand dollars to speak for this corporation and impact their people. Yeah that's where you will make a living building speaking business. I'm example we county just said something to speak my brain about experts. I had somebody an expert in a websites a website hen twelve years ago and then for them to fix it was like elite so I finally went out and built my own about two years ago when I got it all done. I'm like hey I did that myself and then I looked at it went crap I did. That myself wasn't really happy so I just finished just put up a new website. County one of the experts who came to me and said Steve. I can help you with this. I went. Let's talk and we talk for several months. Finally said you can build my website. Joe You guys want to see a new website go to steetch the paddle seminars dot com. And you'll see my new website. Give me some feedback. Tell me if you like it. I'm in love with but it's my website so take a peek at it. Let me know. Just right Steve. At Steve Say Steve. I really like your website or Steve. You know you misspelled forwards in the section. Because we're still responsible for some of it ourselves but when we find the experts gets okay right newer with experts. Who can help you along the way? Connie and I are two of those experts who would love to help become professional speakers. Processional preventers. I'm really on a kick right now. just stop speakers at people's work. Connie how many times you've gone to a meeting when you worked corporate job and went oh my God or worse worlds in the corporate world art time for the meeting. Bring me I could your people or in a meeting out anyway.

"And my life was pretty hard. It was. It was a tough early life and I remember In this this will sound like a fantasy too many people but I remember so whether it was in a dream I remember at Valley of Peace Church in Golden Valley Minnesota and Jason. I I will. Your life will be hard but we'll be here to help you and I can say that I have had this beautiful blessing from the Divine Devine to help me get my mission and my purpose in the world in of course we're all in human bodies and we'll have struggles but I think partnering partnering I partnered with the Divine and so even death could not stop me. I twice and push myself back as anyone Hoti and have worked. You're going to do that. It's going to be some work. Regenerating the body. WHO's your body? got that sick that had died. I think having this incredible faith faith in myself but also faith in the divine and that we are not alone that we have helped him well would definitely not alone. We do have some similarities fair that that love the show with you at you know at some time and we have some some vulnerability with innocent. What's what makes us stronger? Yeah and I truly believe that we do have a partnership with the divine as well. So what what do you believe that your vulnerability is I think if you were you were asking me. What what is not fully really mastered in me? I've been really working on some releasing some sense of not being enough Mike. I really feel like I have superpowers and era. Things that I haven't been able to prevent that Have really left me. brokenhearted hearted current. And I think that that feeling of not being enough is something that is really worked on. I think I'm I'm almost there being enough. I actually been driving down the road telling myself probably also what drives me. You know Ask I was GONNA ask that question. Do you think people like you and me. That are always asking ourselves Osa question. Are we enough our enough and is that what drives us. Yeah I think I think so. I think that's now I'm working working. I'm working on a book right now. And I've been interviewing folks a lot of women and that question keeps coming up. I think I want to interview view from my book. Should be delighted because that question keeps coming up especially women and his men in there too but the it especially those that are really driven at our say you know there's next thing the next thing and the question always comes up of in my enough enough in my enough and yeah and there's that little bit of a little bit of that still is still in a lot of us and it always always comes back to. There is a rough start to our lives are upbringing. So I found that really the Almost incredulous and a lot of a lot of people who are strong. And that's what makes us stronger to to to who we. We are almost to the point where we have a disease to please call it and that makes us really play play full out to you too. We are so. Is there a point in your life where you say you never have ever so we know what is that for you you know no never have I ever. That's theory presided share. This is odd. See Baby I I long for a match divine compliments and never have I ever been with a man who really matches me. So I've had partnerships have had hearts hearts of things that I've never had the whole picture K.. That could be a tough one. Sometimes it took me a while now when I did finally find the one that we complement each other so yeah I have to say we complement implement each other so glad that we took me like is that it took me several dry. Well, how low and it's another week of the Connie five show, and I'm Connie five and remember to share share share away share this video share this interview with today's five Bula guests, it'll be introducing you in just a minute got in some really cool giveaways, and I've been I've been telling you telling y'all that my cousin tayla Tele Lynn, she is sending me like a treasure chest full of giveaways where she has autographed that actually autographs them, and we have a lot of our guests that are on their authors. And also things that they've autograph from t shirts to books to hats. Who knows I would so many things, but you need to share share share. So we can get this information out to you. So our guest also has a giveaway. She's going to be shared her complete collection of social media guide books and. And would just having a conversation about social media. It's kinda love hate relationship would so many people and even might Mike my daughter, I spoke with her and she's in her early thirties, and my son is in his mid wait. No, he's thirty two making me all there. But I talked to them about social media. And I'm like a you you on there. Like, I never see you guys on there. And they're like my daughter's like now, I don't wanna go on there. I don't know what anyone to know what I'm doing, and my son is I just stay on there to kind of casually pop things up, but it's really is girlfriend doing the pop tonight even him. So I'm finding that so many people are really stepping away from that social social media. I guess bug that we've had in past years. So when that happens the question becomes how are we selling? How are we getting our message out? How are we letting people know what it is that we're doing, and, you know, it's it's you have to be everywhere. So. So how can you be EFI where when you're not fully embracing social media? That's the lamb that we're gonna be talking about today. But make sure that you're sharing. So you can get a autograph copy of our guidebook from today's guest. So I'm Connie five, and it is go time so little bit about our our guest to their name is Lauren wallet. Shia. We've had such a dynamic conversation before the show got started. Thanks so much for having me. It's great to be excited to start unpacking some of these questions because I think they already relevant in today's times Nathan has been a shift. I mean, we were just chatting full that we're feeling it. A lot of my friends a lot of my clients, right? It's it's good to go. While what practical steps that people can take to actually make social media work for immense. It of. I am working for it and giving so much time judge, and that's a good point year. You're putting it's almost like you become the slave to a because you have to be there, you have to be posting your if you do the ad you have to do the as monitor the ads, that's costing money. And then was the return on that. And I don't know about you. I on my Email. I mean without question. I might have like ten fifteen hire may hire me hire me. And what do I do dilly dilly ended? Probably could be some really good stuff in there. But it's just like overkill, and you still look at it. And of course, I have all blockers pop-ups locked the my on my computer. But even if you go to Facebook, or even some of the other social media sites, you have those pop-ups constantly constantly coming at you. And I just don't wanna do it. My I don't wanna be lost in that see of every. Nobody I wanna stand out. I wanna be different. So how I want to get your point of view from it. Because I know I'm also a

It's about enjoying the journey. It's about keeping it real Dan year years the. The. It's all about you. Or something else? I wanted to do stop taking shit. So seriously, the taking outrageous out late laugh, this these that Connie fife show, we let it away. Union airdrie. And now your host Connie fight. Hi, you listening to Connie fife. And this is the kind of five show, and I'm the stoppable diva and every week we just bring some incredible incredible guests to the show and today, we have a return a rerun. Come back. Yeah. We decided of sushi fantastic conversation that we have to continue. We want to talk more about it in the introducer ingested minute. But I just wanna make sure that you are sharing share the shell will let people now make sure your hashtag me the county five show Connie five in our guest as well. Because we have so many good wit giveaways and goodies that we went to get out to you. So make sure that you doing this share share share because we want you coming back. We want you to be part of our family, and we embrace you as part of our family because we want to be here to help you and that's our mission. That's our goal is to work without world's most daring mind Sosa that are really keeping the passion of life activate. And that's what we're all about him. Because we know we truly believe that we are all unstoppable together that will let's get onto the show. Oh, because if this conversation is anything like last time, we're going to be going over again. So let's jump right in. So our guest today. She's a speaker, she's author and again, the work that she is doing is just phenomenal and love her because she was born without amoeba Mei-chieh gal. So a southern girls gals. I don't think we have you ever. Like, we dislike say, I know. It's got me in trouble sometimes. But let's welcome to the county five showed Tabitha laser. Hi, thanks, Connie, Trevor mmg. Hi, I'm so thrilled that you're back. Now, let's jump right into the conversation where we left off. So we were talking about women. And I mean, there's a lot of conversation about a women in the suite in how women are still, you know, fighting fighting wearing clawing their way to get there. And about six percent of women now actually sit in C suite positions, which is really up like three. And a half percent from just a couple of years ago, but they claw their way up, and when they're clawing actually doing to other women, and that's the one thing that I had experienced my way up the corporate ladder, and I made it to the to the C suite. But even when I was sitting in a C seat there were still people throwing under the bus, and those people were mostly women that would throw you under the bus. And I quickly learned that I worked better with men than I did women. I mean, I it just it truly. It scares me to see that happening. Because when we do that when at helping each other we're not supporting each other that six percent a second grow very quickly. Right. Yeah. It's actually declined a little bit in the last year from the recent studies. So we do struggle with that we struggled to support each other. And there's a lot of good reasons for that. That are actually like a logical and heart of how we are. And who we are actually what makes us successful hurts us in some way. It really does. And I know like Sheryl Sandberg talked about that in her book land and. How women really need to come together and help each other. And and really support support each other with that. But I guess the question is how how do we get women to really step up and work with each other? And you know, give a hand up to somebody else. That's a great question. I think it really goes to understanding who we are and the need for leadership development in the US and around the world, honestly, we're at a young age where we're taught to manage things. In fact, a lot of women get the stigma of being tasked managers. Right. We work ourselves at bone trying to prove were good enough right to stand with the men and in doing that we do a lot which actually ends up hindering us because in the doing we do so well that we a lot of folks don't wanna promote us because you do so good. I can't. Place you right, right. And in doing so much again going back to not having a leadership development that actually teaches us to educate inspire motivate and hold people accountable in and missing. Those those bits we end up getting in a place where we feel like we have to compete for everything and in competing for everything. We're we're trying to show the men that were as good if out better. So we rarely go after the men because there are competition in this race, right? Instead, we go after other women because we're where we see them as competing in our space to compete with them in that make sense, right?

Why am I doing this? Well, that's what we talk about. We talked to those folks that say, you know, I was there, but it's all change. And I did these different steps these different things along the way to make a difference. And that's why we're successful unhappy today. So our guest today is. It's exactly what we're talking about. With our guest guest today. Optimizing your human performance. Now. This guy is helping people that need it most. And let me tell you. I will know speaker who need it most. But it's never us. But the people that need it most at the moment that they need it, and it will really need with that message that they need they need to hear it a need to be sometimes you don't hear until you're ready. But this guy I mean, he finds he pinpoints he knows and he knows when somebody's ready, and they listen, so. It again, they struggle with net. Knowing who they are Whittier were they want to go each day. But again, he's pushing not he's pushing that thoughts real and helping you find them. So what come to Connie five show, Jerry Robbins? Thank you for having me. Good to be here. I am so thrilled that you are here. So you human performance human human development, and we were talking about that a little bit be before the show. This is how I act this is how I behave and believe me when they did the realignment, and I didn't have a job anymore. Okay. I was devastated I mid and people people know that anything that was almost giving me a heart attack. But realized that it was a gift. The gave me to allow me to breed. And this is the thing that you talk about about sleeping nutrition, exercise mindfulness. And that was the one thing that I learned from that to make sure I was exercising. I meditate every day just to help me read in work through that. So those seven steps that you use to optimize human performance. How are you sharing that how were you working with your clients who help them understand the value of that great question? Great question. I glad to be here excited to be here. Talking to you and everyone else who's watching listening into frame it properly. So people understand why it would be important when we talk about things that someone might consider. Oh, I know that I've heard this kind of stuff that I recover are in that category. Which I'm well aware of I'm not here to educate, you, I'm here to get you to do what you know, you need to be doing in most. If people were honest with ourselves, we have a list of four five six things, we know we should be doing we want to be doing, and we wouldn't really track. We're just honestly not being a good teammate. What I mean is if you listening in I were on Olympic relay team going for the gold medal. Are you gonna hold up your leg of the race? And what I mean by hold up your leg of the race is can I count on you to show up every day one hundred ten percent effort and do all the things, you know, you need to be doing. So she's written a book about that. Her latest book is speaking to influence mastering, your leadership voice. She's a woman Jess confidence. She is poise focus and cry. Credibility, and the this is what best describes her? So joining us from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and y'all know Pennsylvania is really dear to my heart. Please welcome to the Connie five show Lor Sakala, right? Connie, thank you so much for having me today. So I what I sing your book. And I know it was gone back and forth and you applying with some different covers. But everything that you do is about influence speaking to influence, so I mean, you've done work with on the stage yourself, but you also help other individuals find their voice on the Ted stage. And you also work with individuals again in in corporate, but you really take them to that place of helping them understand when they don't get a response when they don't have respect or the getting those results that they want. It's really that blind spot that they have themselves show share more about that shore. The. Everybody's had those moments where you feel like in my head. My idea is so crystal clear never body should just yet it and they should us. And the do it needs to be done to make it happen. Right. That's not what happens often begin pushback. We get ignored or we get the run around. Or we just we ultimately the movie in our minds is not the movie that plays out in reality. Right piece of that. Why people respond to us in a way that it'd be isn't optimal is because we have this blind spot and the blind spot is the gap between how you wanna come across. Now, you come across and how you actually come across when you speak, and

Leave your dream find their business that that you've only been dreaming about and just do it. So we're all about keeping the passion of life activated for the world's most daring mine. So get ready yet set because today's show is all about purpose desire intent because it is time to re define. Success? Our guest today is the redefined speaker coach relationship builder Evans, ever my saying Rada Evans. I. And I give a lot of Durant's Durand. Durand Evans during you too Connie. Yeah. Say. And an insane. Morning 'cause we talked twice today. We're good. We're good. So Evans Darren and you are the redefine guy you talk about redefining relationship building. But again re-defining that success in and that's what we're all about. We wanna talk talk about that today. How people can redefine what their success looks like for them. So for you your definition of reading find success. I mean people's lives, and I know you just coming off a weekend of your of your program of your event and. So the sheer more out that share more about what is that definition about redefining our success? Yeah. Connie, that's awesome in virtual thank you for having. I've been looking forward to build since we scheduled about two months ago. So so excited talk with you love the energy love the show. In. You're right. We just came off along three day say long three days because when you start in the morning ago late in the night, twenty one session, the content. Yeah, they become a long days. That you start dancing by the end of the you're like. And we're getting closer. I just came back from live outside of Columbia, South Carolina at us in a beachfront house only ocean Alamar sound side of Charleston, we divine these retreat to say, hey, look, there's a lot of conferences and retreats where you can take to a hotel really beautiful city. These days on the walls of the hotel. Right. The black linen table cloth. A lot of PowerPoint people speaking to you or at your chance we wanted something different. So we put seven of underneath one roof for three nights a made it more of a close setting. We brought leaders from different parts of international company that have one of their leaders. They're like north leader, a top sales rep international company, another gentleman who is a professional speaker. And we we brought all these guys together and said, look, we as leaders who need a place to be led right? There's so many things definition standards expectations that are placed on this. How do we really start to shed those things that everybody else is telling us a successor our lives and really looking on. The linemen going. Well, I don't believe that. I don't believe. That's what success looks like for BMI live across my life home team in my organization my community. What am I doing for my family and my loved ones personal career relationships in service? We have this tendency to live in isolation buckets. So what what we came to love the deeper kind of behind the scenes that we got there. But it's really about if it's not an alignment with what I truly believe is unique creation this unique individual in. Why my living out expectations definitions other people placed on me. And I'm going to be very careful say front before we dive deep, it's not the idea concept of well, if I if I'm shooting at a target on side of the barn does shoot I draw circle around is that. Yeah. The target. That's not redefining success. Right. That's manipulation of. That's not. All right. What the says assign? Okay. It's more than just a business. Transaction right. I've been in the marketplace for fourteen years which fifteen sales as well. Tech startups, a top producer still on stage in front of five hundred peers, he led the company and revenues margins. And it's something that was very intoxicating young man, rightly felt very great does mountaintop moment. I I live for those. Right. I one of those gains again, and again, but my my value was in worth became associated with my production. We had some bumps in the road years ago. And those things hit it was just a complete what in the world of doing and among it, right? The mountaintop near the Holly as low as you go and you're like, oh crap. I'm gonna say I can't speak. Everyone listening because we have a couple million people listening. But I think we've all hit that wall. And that's the point found, regardless of who we are where we are around the globe, we have people all over all over the world here. And regardless of where you are what you do today. We're all serving similar things, right? Many things are unique to us only. We want a certain way Mona macro level. It's hysterical. How tied together we all truly are really think of it. We are at every successful person that you talk to will say that they hit that wall. And it was okay. What just happened? I was like you said, I was at the mountaintop. And all of a sudden I'm like down there like what is like what what just happened? So I love your analogy though about drawing the Dr and Dr. Say there there's vice success. That's great. I am perfect hit it right in the middle. Right. And that's the thing you we can't do that. Our new we can't do that. We really have to say. We're doing, but we we really find ourselves, and I'll be beyond. I'm in business working with people who want to redefine themselves. They've on that success. And now, they're saying, okay. But it might truly living the life that I bay living and want to be living. And that's for my family for me amenities the business versus the other way around. And I think we something there that so important is when we look at it. I love the question we ask ourselves. What do we wanna do? Why do we wanna do at? How are we going to do it at Wrigley? Got this core up. What are we supposed to do as the only person was planning to his me? What am I supposed to do? Why what am I doing? And I said recently, I said it's told someone else in that said was actually I think it was Lisa McDonald. Who you and I both. Well, yeah. I said, you know, what's funny? We we're on this journey. There's only things that we do. We have a lot of we have a purpose. I believe, but we find a small purposes along the way too, right? We all search this mountaintop moment. But what's funny is we have some small hills that we climb and bring with us to that are just as easily. That question is not always when I want to do or what I feel like doing. But maybe it's what I'm supposed to be doing right? What am I supposed to be? I know for me I had to do that that really deep soul-searching a couple of years ago myself mad for me, it was caused by the passing of my mom, which is going to be three years this week. And I'm already thinking about it is my mom's gone three years mum's gone three years and fund funny. Things have been happening around me the last couple of days, I keep saying mom's here.

It means a lot in your touching lives and helping people see things differently, and that means a lot. So thank you for having me. And thank you for being you. Well, thank you. Thank you. I'm it's interesting. They say that I do differently, and I do differently be gets a same ol' same ol' Annella packaging, and I really wanna get to them meat and potatoes of what's really happening. What's good? What's bad and what to avoid, and I know you. Talk a lot about servant leadership. And again, that's just I guess a passion of mine in terms of helping other people lifting other people, and that is something that that you do this is what what you talk about. And I didn't want to talk about that. But let let's share ask you to show more about being a behavior. Economist by what does that mean? What does that mean? I mean, why why are how is it? Driving people to make make decisions will not brass was interesting. So I'm classically trained, which means I wanted to all the things that most people would just assume describes her is Al people done about economics and going to school to study that people just roll their eyes ago. My God, I hated that class. But what I found is that people hate it or love it. There was no in between. And I decided awhile back. I was going through by -education. My undergraduate graduate doctor work in the field was that most of my peers who I love dearly. I'm not knocking anybody. But in classical economics, most people I talk about what's happening in why they predicted it a couple of weeks ago can find how they predicted it but say that they thought of this. They predicted it, but classical economics is about historical be points. Looking back and saying why something happened will several years ago actually sort of began in the sixties, but it didn't really get any attention to manny's in the opening last decade. It all started shift to say, we've got you know, tens of thousands of years were the humanity here that we looked at why they made this season's why don't we take a bold boldly in looking at feature and saying, well, what if this happens? Why do we think this way what can we do differently? And then most economists realized that so talk about the past though, saying tools to talk about the future and look into why people make the decisions they do. Because a lot of people think that humans are crazy irrational in unpredictable. When it's actually just the opposite. People are very smart. They're very rational in their very predictable and to go forward and think about that. They have incredible unfair advantage in helping serve people and do things better. Because people really do a 'have in very good solid way that with servant's heart and everything starts change. So without saying, okay, everybody get your crystal ball because of looking into the future give give just an NS tap in a simple process to help people understand how they can look at the future. Just like you. I loved economics when I took it in and business plaza. I did. And I not a math whiz at all. But a and economics has nothing to do with that. But I just I enjoy that on looking looking to the future itself. Funny. I didn't assessment recently said that basically my divergent amid of everything but the. Piece that really stood out. The most was that. I was future. Yes. And I thought that was interesting, but it also related back to how I love how I look at things. So for Muir, terminology, your point of view. I mean, again, helping people make the right decision or looking towards their their futures any type of secret sauce or a little nugget that you can share with them over to start with you get in your hand. A lot of their. Wow. Scary run. No, I known about you was in your show of how Jane when you are where your heart that comes across very very clear, but someone like you who's Futurists. I believe correct me wrong. Did you believe that tomorrow can be better than today? Not only for yourself. But for everybody that you touch any meat and to me, that's the ultimate of service of looks someone else's. I wanna help you believe the tomorrow can be better than today. It doesn't make ups and downs is certainly not raw motivational site. Now us. Use positive attitude as a jurist you can change the way in on this you can change the way people think about how they think about the way they think about their venue. So to me being a behavioral economists isn't necessarily just doing magic tricks in predicting the future of having a crystal ball who has a handgun idea. Why don't we talk about changing the way, you think about how you think about the way that you think about your thinking and people kind of look at you. And they say, you know, like to explore that maybe instead of me blacking Ryan wide made there's a gray. Or is it having two sides. Maybe there's ability to manage blaring. There's lots of different ways of looking at it. But it's just changing the way you think about I night. But the way that you think about your thinking if you believe tomorrow's gonna be better than today. Although there will be up to nouns good the terrorists at the end of the day. That's how you move forward in this fun to talk about in. That's guest people inspired in like, I said, I don't believe in motivation inspir-. Inspiration motivation Ruge inspiration goes on forever. So fire. Somebody by believe in the future is better than today than you can do a lot of cool stuff that we definitely are along the same path. I mean, I truly believe it's it's inspiration. Again, motivation is great is a lot of people out there doing motivation. Like, you said the raw raw, and then you walk out of the room is what do I go next. What do I do next? And but it's an inspiration to take that next step. And I and I mean, you got me. I mean, I am all about tomorrow's gonna be better than today. I'm always looking at what could we do better? What could we do? Next drive. My team crazy because I'm always like, oh, let's do this go here. But still keeping with the same phone Dacian of of what we do. And I see people are. In LA ministers loaded with homeless people are people that just seemed down on her luck in a scene something the other day where it said that last Angeles is the most depressed city in the US by far. And and I was like we know I need to go out and help people and inspire people need to show them that you can do different. And maybe means leaving allay. Actually, we had a young man with us a little over a year. Now Madam event he was actually from Toronto. And he was going to be homeless and somebody has said to me. Hey, the Avonex room, you know, to put the sky up, and I think people home all the time people bring on animals, I bring home people.
