You all now, he's straight like they took your chain and Amy kill you, Dale and bragging divided on the internet. Right. Like, you said that you let the chocolate Spurs got to chain back though. I really think the street vows things overrated Nate, they shouldn't, you know. I hope they stay safe anywhere nine out here prison, but at the same time, it's like ham, man, they actually chain back guy because they just felt bad for you or something anyway. And now think he'd wonderful with either. Now, apparently, not everybody always tried to downplay the slow roll like all maybe he is wonderful. But it don't seem like I want everything stopped. He or the p hang out with the ones, and I know that can be the same. I mean, it's not it's the same. Just do it matter. Don't might have. I know you don't out and nobody goes on respect him. And at the end of the day. That's all fucking. It's like if you was a killer. But did you respect me, then I'm the Killa to right? This what I'm saying? They don't even matter to me like I just know not the folk with that do because apparently things get done do by why wait to why wait to find out. Is what I'm saying? But actually you bitch. You'll man the ones don't kill me. Exactly. That's right. Do. Witness. We you seem to be holding pain in video, right? Like you. I'm just glad be I randomly accused the people. They didn't do. Don't know saying negative. Can't get you text. Filling like everybody bothering, right? Like if he really read like you have a notice killers like that don't be on like, Twitter and Facebook and shit. No. They don't be like like going out to everybody for everything. Like, I heard this Nicotera crews got a problem I pick and choose their battles. You know, you just disappear. Like didn't. We'll know what happened. You just won't no longer exists. No, no. Definitely seemed to be putting it out there. That is a problem. If I if some things don't happen. This definitely going to be a problem. So I mean, you know, which is have to have to battle. All right today is a walk in day wins day. Which means we get to talk about the Walking Dead. And you guys know we love to do that. We have just in here who is still a faithful fan or the Walking Dead at all this time before we get into the recap. Just and what you've been thinking about this season just in general, so far I overall still seasons this show. People that don't like it. Don't watch what's wrong with you. You've improved this season from last season. You still about the same. I guess still good. I enjoy last season. So I guess too. I'm one of those people who came to it late because I didn't enjoy the first few episodes when it came out. And then I ended up binge-watching it, and they didn't change what they were doing. Right. Kind of remained consistent is just the I finally caught on to what they were doing. And they and they do the thing that I enjoy about most shows is that they take time to try to tell you a story and don't rush it. And if you can dig that that you can get with this show, and they do this thing. I like what other shows, and you're not talking about on the show is good always disappear because they run out of deals, right? Well, this is a show that they have time to take their time. So yeah, I enjoy a full store is not rushed. And I enjoyed it. So that means I can get more and more of your really been enjoying this season. That's one of my favorite seasons. Actually, which is weird because I wouldn't have thought that. Before you know, like nowadays. It's like there to be like shit ain't good. No more. Whatever y'all try, you know, but it's actually been better to me than the last three or four seasons. And I think it's because they switched that show runner. Right. And she's just been murdering like she's like, she sped up the pace just a little bit as she stopped being redundant on certain things. And then certain things got gamble was doing. She's not doing this. So far this season. I don't know if you realize we haven't had one episode of that like hour and a half extended Walking Dead like everything is just like our our five minutes, and those up souls to just be a bunch of fucking commercials right on the whole time and not Miller the instead of doing some two times like shows the audience like, oh, they're trapped. There's no way out. They'll be like no do it three times. So they really know they trap him. Like, we didn't need to see that third time. Nothing changed and they they hadn't teased us with. Any like would did this person down the show, which they did they used they used to do a lot of it. They well after Glenn they started doing a little bit more. Like we'll they weren't today who arrive is he day. They don't do that anymore at all learn from that lesson like they be like they like at the end even with Rick ended episode as I know he alive. Oh, you ain't gotta worry about it. All sees. He's alive. You just don't know where he's at. All right. Well, cool. Sounds like just enjoy the care. I know you've been we talk every week about it. But I know you want to chime in. Yes, I've enjoyed it. I've enjoyed this season a lot. I think this particular episode one of my favorite episodes of the season, particularly the last two seasons and something else to piggyback on a conversation. Y'all been having something else. I enjoy that. The new show runner is doing a lot of shit happened offscreen. So somebody has the decision to make or somebody has constantly they bring it up should happen offscreen, and we'll be come back onscreen. It's resolved the decision is made everybody doing what the fuck they won't to. I don't have to episodes of being drawn out. And and people I in and and longshots staring in each other faces, and and and just a lot of filler a lot of the filler is glum, which is what I really liked, and I think that the pace of the stories has increased like eight moves. Quicker. And I am okay. Within moving this pace. I think before it was before last season. It was they had points. Let's get to this point or let's get to this place. And then instead a writing a story line to actually smoothly transition new there. It was okay, rented episodes. We got twenty seven episodes. Let's do a of with Michelle Rick going and doing nothing, but it don't move to you you wasted my time. This is not moving anything along. And I think prior to prior to the past two seasons. They did a lot of that in my opinion, which for a lot of people I could see them. Stop watts. Stop watching the show because like, okay, you got ten episodes unit. Bring up Tina Tina will have it a split it and you got three or four episodes of nothing moving. And so for me this season has this past Tuesday have been the best 'cause they stopped at full of Bush. It we moving along we telling. You too because I think people have questions, and I don't have to wait as long for the questions because some of the questions they act as the now in the past we wouldn't had to wait to next season to get some of the answers that I know we're going to tell you this season. So question do do they have different people that direct each episode, but they have the same writers. No, they change writers and directors all the time. So I think maybe that's what's keeping it fresh to this like, well, we gotta keep this thing moving because this is the thing I want to with this so get out. And so maybe that's what helps keep it fresh and move along. Because this is what I wanted from true blood, and and the true blue started out really strong. And then they messed it up by doing too. I don't know what happened to trueblue why they couldn't sustain it. Because they have all like, this is this is the show about ambi- true. But was a show about vampires where like e could let you imagine fairies anything. And they had unlimited potential. They messed it up and it passed just and they've had different. The different writes a lot of this was show runner. Like the person that actually makes the decision in order to shows go like desk, the person that kinda did extent did that slow moving stuff before. Because you do have different writers before, but you have a different slow a show one. Or so that's the person is cut. This out. Speed is not gonna cover this shit. Ain't then. Like the kind of chopping a lot of of the shows somebody said in a chat that the last two are like directed by black women. And then the last episode was co written Bob black on myself. I mean, according to on DVD sorry. So I mean to be to the Wiki. That's right. So maybe that's what it is. Nicole Brown episode why she a real fan. I'm surprised even as a Walker surprised. They hadn't had been like guess true. Also prize? Maybe maybe too much. All right. Let's get into this week's recap. Cash have a funky ass remix issue. Right. Put your hair. Killing Nissan like migos. Add lives and shit. I know I'll take the wreath. But yes, so it's upper so fourteen of season nine it's called scars directed by Millicent Shelton written by Corey read and Vivian see TSE. And it went down in the raises four point five seven. But you know, you can't really know is good until you watch it because it start up lack woman. Of course, also it was back in the number one trending topic on Sunday night, which has been for years. So I don't know what that means. I like once again Twitter versus real life baffles. The fuck outta me. Maybe they got they got a lot of silent watchers. Maybe like me like I'm just watching and join, but yeah. But I mean, I'm talking about Twitter though, like so these people that know, how many people technically the rating say watched it, you know, and then we have Twitter, which is everybody talking about it slum house number one trend I'll say night, but also at the same time it was like lower rated than the week before. I have no fucking idea. What what it means? The black people. Why? It was almost shown maybe that's what routine, but we didn't know she was going to be on that tissue on their true. And also, I in my opinion, I think because of what happened and the way to happened. It kind of made it trend could people to all my gosh, what has happened. It was like, well, what are y'all talking about? Actually, probably made them jump on the hashtag to find out what they were talking about people people do watch show that thing is even though the ratings kind of go up and down me and talked about it people are still tarring this so game of thrones. Ain't there. So it is number one. Because game of thrones is so people are still watch or to take a while you have to download it. Correct. So I'm saying people watched it live live tweeted to the number one hash because you said record it numbers don't show. All right, right. The Nilsson his lower the hashtag was higher. I don't know. So I'm not I'm not trying to solve the mystery. I'm just saying it's interesting. We don't we don't. Have to come up with the solution right here to why was that way? We don't really people talking about it. I'm glad people talking about it. But when I looked at the raiders, I thought it was going to be like, oh jump because it was it was not just I guess the people that watched it talked about it more. Anyway. So we have only two things talk about Alexandria in the past. Okay. Fuck them kids or at Alexandria in the future. Then the present. I think what I'm gonna do is pass. I just because it relates back to the present. Because as moments you can't talk about in the president without confronting what he did in the past, correct? So opens we get a cold opening of a montage of machine searching the riverbank looking for Rick size. Rick that 'cause we know last time we saw him he fell into the river at the division blew up, and then he got helicopter. Oh, yeah. The bridge will he got helicoptered out. But you know, Michelle know that so she's looking for this. Fuck it, and it's obvious washed up on the beach and she's killing them. And she's also. Like they show like it's overtime. Like, I she's out there. She looks normal. Then they show a later. She's like very pregnant like she'll Chelsea Clinton out there. The Muslim rally gut full Rick. Yeah. Gut fuller. I wonder if she knew she was pregnant. We're by Rick when he got blown up at that. Bree. I don't think she knew. Okay. Yeah. 'cause they don't really explicitly show it as she. She never tells him, you know, they just pull the goalie. I guess she's like leave it in. So she finds a over rested gun and a dirt. And it's Rick's going. And then she takes us saying good and cleans it off and put it in a box for Judah. But before she does that she had to go to her built for awhile because she was going back to the river as she was caring reeks. I think it was just more of a science. She was like growing accustomed to the fact that she wasn't going to find him, and it was time to move on. So virtually we see our base and put it in a box of Judith. And one time she kills kinda look like, Rick when when she turned it over it wasn't Rick. So at that point. I'm like, oh, she's really just searching for closure at this point. Like, she like this. He's hoping to find the ambi-. That is Rick to kill it and realize what I know. What happened right? Oh, would you say because you know, it went from hopefully, he's alive to probably did. And which will make sense because his Rick, and he ain't came back to come to our vendor yet, you're thinking survivor, eight months, six months later have a long she was pregnant right back while now these days, so yeah, she's out there by self and then Darryl comes out of the woods. And they have a little conversation about him. Maybe coming back to Alexandria. He's like, nah. The also says you kinda pregnant to be out here. So you ain't gonna be out here long. It's gonna be me by myself. And she was like, yeah. But you're going to be okay being alone. And he said yes in the asked her what she going to be. Okay. She said, I'm not. And I thought that was poignant because it reminded me of win the prison black. They fought the governor in the prison, basically blew up and Michelle try to go it on her own again. She tied them zombies. Tour was walking. And then she couldn't take it. And she ended up she cutting out Carl and Rick and shake. She killed autumn zombies. I love episode almost shown basically 'cause this is the only the second time they've done it yet. And they both was about her and some white woman. That don't wanna listen and just want to do. And thank they know this and want to do this one wasn't about the white woman. You know, at the end they made it about you. Okay. That's not a woman. But yes. Out girl. Aren't they all white women? Though, all of the same attitude stars stars earlier today at speak tour managers. So then Michelle retires home, and finds that there's some kids who need help in Alexandria. And they add the gate, and she also were like one of them's injured in grown, ask her friend Jocelyn who she recognized. She's I just. Joscelyn's like, hey, girl. Hey, Jocelyn this play Baga routine, a Wesley who was on true, blood and queens sugar bay as we call it. You know, what media when I saw her. I was like so they couldn't find a role, but let me Daniels. Right. As one is another extra on this episode too. Busy on the hundred they'd be like, she got time. Come on one. One crew can handle this week or two right? So yeah, it was it was cool in retainer. They're like I recognize that mmediately acting school. Bad way. Diet is Nick. A little like when whenever they do those those act out scenes and CPR training. Gotta be hurt. I can't feel my home. But as soon as Michelle. Shoot. That is the wrong one. I mean, it was like this. Yeah. Know official black girl come rotary songs of they see. She was like, oh, they could come in which we know what about security, I security. What about the three questions? What questions right? No question. It remind you the person how you see your homeboy at McDonald's. Oh, I know. We get me today children's we're getting big Macs right show, right here you at the door the calls. I know we getting their free tonight. I know we gin extra apple pie. This is Charles before at meal. So she led him in let Jocelyn. Oh, man. And only way this could have been better as much as I love Tina Wesley. I will admit it. They could've cast is better. If it would have been Johnson leaned her. No be letting living. Bisher still alone on the beach. Probably Demet now as anybody your hair. They can you know, give me some of that. What about you look able I'll about Pasa pass. I know you can come pray over this pussy. So there. She led them in and they started taking care of the injuries of her. But she Jocelyn so fucked up, but she's she won't laid out. She won't like just let them take care of her in the firm. She starts stumbling out like I got I gotta go. They need me in Charlotte grabs about shows like who needs. You was do you need as she's like, they need me. The kids is like tell me what you need our help. Now ever minds me of when you were talking to few weeks ago about the little kid that went out on his own trying to save somebody. Everybody was Henry everybody was against hammer. Just I got this. That's my show was going regardless whether the antibodies her and that she was going to get kids. That's another example like you talked about like how to show they all go out and do what they feel like doing. I mean, I group is I group man. I think one of the things interesting about it is between watching the audience react to the group. The audience is so conservative in scared that they don't believe in competence of our group at this point because model goin- is nobody knows who they fucking with. When they can what I group our group. Don't look as dangerous as other groups. They are more dangerous. They survive way. More bitcoin hearts, Carole, go here. Oh, no problem light Henry is one thing. Henry got their got himself tracked and beat up or not as oh you have to worry about her getting found and cracked up side ahead in the middle of nowhere. Like, you're not gonna have that problem. I mean, you say that we have the rest of the show. I mean, I mean under normal circumstances. Okay. Well, Henry doesn't normally get tired of and beat up. Is it just happens every once in a while care? No on what you on that. Okay. Well, he showed little stick out the after the lessons occurs. Right. You got to also be crazy to will the power of the Stig. Also, you wanna learn from bullshitting for out of our crazy if I'm allowed to use a stick. I wanna learn from the clear clear, we'll take care everything. Are you learning to to? I dunno more. I know all I know is clear had it had it. Popping. Okay. We're more a bakery. Was back every time when it's move as as you could go like he will take care anybody. Anything moving him during the civil rights era. He was on that net turn away. He was killed him off. I guess he was like the babies he'll clear who really should've been Dr green book. Are you paying it to all your shows? Jesus that fried chicken though. So they end up. Like going out to look in this location for these kids that Jocelyn and group is like responsible for some of the kids that came with a little older like teens. So the teens went with Michelle and a big crew from Alexandra. And they're like, oh, yeah, we used to hide in this building. So the rest of the kids might be in here. And then one of the kids jumped up of it and the white I mean, Jean was all like points for dexterity. That's very innovative, my friend and all this shit as the kid like opened the door inside they found diagrams to like skin and kill. Not just deer. Rabbit was. And. Inside. They find the kids and the kids all come out. And later, we see the kids like around a camp fire back at Alexandria. To say, they're roasting all kinds of food because apparently us kids we? They do a little light chairs another coin. Yup. Come with through. Oh lie. Oh, this is this what this is like people will be like, why would you trust these kids? He starting cage. You don't know they everybody else gives over the fact they came with deer and rabbit like it's hard to turn. It's like shit man hungry. We have live. You'll see a lot of meat plant. But here's right. Who's not trust in a group will the kids? I mean, unless they wearing hoodies. Right. These kids didn't fit the description that description. They're very multicultural keys. They were not hit thugging the of khakis on pants pulled up all the way, no sagging. So the kids are sitting around a campfire and roasting animals and playing the silent game like the quiet game shit and gay is having with him and all this stuff. And it's like a cool moment and airman Shona actually looking at the group. And they're like man, I I was Rick was here to seat is because Rick would love to see this establish the inside again and these kids getting to be kids and areas. Like, yeah, I'm sure he's thinks he's looking down wherever he is. And masonic what? And he was like, oh, I didn't mean to like that. I like, I'm not trying to say, he did, you know that she said, it's okay. And there she goes into the kitchen and Jocelyn in like doing dishes shit. And that's when I realize some time must've passed. Mhm ally. Whatever happened Tom was passed enough for Jocelyn to be like in the kids to be ingratiated into the community. You know, because if I felt like it was out of same night. Obviously it wasn't. Okay. So then at the Jocelyn and Michelle talk of Michelle was like Joscelyn's, like, well, you know, you're going to keep going out there looking for your man and showers. I why would you say that she's like I could see that look in your face. It's like we was in college, and you had to petition to get some shit done, and they signed a petition, and blah, blah, blah. And you didn't give up on finding me. And that was at the fifteen years and Michelle is like I'm just so glad to have you here because we been through some real shit. You know, like, my momma died and. You know, like college and stuff in like seeing you at all this time. You know, it's just gives me hope so more time passes in one morning, Massoni, all the payers Alexandria. Because apparently her house was sleepover house are going to Joscelyn's house because apparently her houses sleepover house, they was up early to get kids. Now, I know a lot of parents lie to drop their kids off on that day care. Stay tonight. They don't be over the first thing in one and you'd be having them down. Right. But I think you get your kids. Called ongoing about it. Right off our joke, actually like yoki. Okay. Right. Why is this in Zepa, right? There was like we need to get our kids. And maybe it is different. You won't get kid earliest possible. Thank you wanna break 'cause you spend so much time trying to hover over them. Violence peace one of to zombie. Eat. Everybody is like, maybe we should just go ahead and get them. Now. You know what I'm saying? Like, let's wait, you know. So they go get the babies go to get the babies, they go in the house and nobody's did babies are all gone everybody on the kids have been abducted in plain sight. Yes, they have. They go check the pantry looking for the kids. The pantry is empty is foot. All the food all the food go and outside somebody got killed. We don't know who this dude is let's walked up on them. Yeah. I love this gamble. Okay. Fancher? I said, okay. No new for is no for his either. All right Jocelyn this Scammell. That's your favorite could never right. Right. And then after they see he got stabbed ahead. I see footprint on those push prince of the tiny. Bloodies footprints and they were leaning towards the sewer. About the thing is a king hand lift us or. So no Jocelyn or maybe a couple of teams got together lifted the sewer great and slid the fuck up in there, and oh, no. We can't tell you about it. So. That day going with the with the kids like, you know, of course, like that means you go there only is like we going after them and all I was little surprised though. 'cause Darryl Michelle go by themselves. And I was kind of expecting it to be like more people from the town because it is kids to they say pregnant black woman and Errol they say head of security top-flight cop. Okay. No. Waas Endo the people they all those people look like they had left the gate year. And I think that them leaving. They was like, oh, this is something that we can do this. This is going to be something where we're going gonna eat a lot of people to help us like we go get the kids to come right back child. And that's very nice. But of a motherfucker kit kidding all the kids in the town. I'll be suspicious of any of the parents. It's like y'all Hanley. I'll be good. I'm gonna stay here because these green, especially when they showed up I wanted y'all y'all see like tight, there's some kids that might want. Not wanna see my pregnant asked. I ate by myself. I'm not saying she can't go. Well, how you going to say about her? That's it. She didn't wait for them to get dressed. Maybe maybe shoes. Imagine be like I need to get dressed. Right behind you. Michelle, daryl. It gets all last always leading the black woman. Do all the guy they read it. You don't have to get ready. They buy turned around him already going. Falem shown Darrow. Stay ready. I mean, she's like you said he is the head of security. So they would that's the job. So then. She talked to Darrow because you need to take a break you out here mad pregnant, and we buy sells like man pregnant like I see you helping from like she she put a mega shame. I see is about to burst. I'm like, you ain't got twin Rix up being you. Just showed the flight of women. Even you know, she don't get to relax inn while pregnant like the other one she even an ugly was renting the little town. But you know, the other thing too much show might have feel obligated to be like, no, we're going to go get her because I'm the one that invited her into detail. She was kinda my responded. Everybody else. Go get your little friend and children, which I still don't understand. But okay. Y'all trying to make it make sense. But it's never gonna make sense. I can't be straight this from a man who has kids that he don't take. I don't have any kids. So just go put that out there. But yeah. So one time I just in a mall with his family. This is me. I'm not gonna put your busy. One of my other families. So then they sit down to take a break. And then she explains how close that Jocelyn and she were back like. Right reporters E pack as she's also like. I let my guard down because I wanted my best. I wanted my friend bag, you know, in, you know, because of that I let her slide on without asking three questions of checking out the group, you know, back. I forgot to mention back during the campfire scene. Jocelyn said the only they didn't have any adults that made it in their group only kids right as she said because adults just break and Michelle let us live which in hindsight shows choose kicking myself 'cause Judy was missing issues. I don't even know fucking thin. They just break. I've been with a dose to Hosie park. You don't just all those don't just break in the kids. Make it. Correct. She broke right. So Michelle's domes across a kid called a PJ and Pete got got them night. Turned around like oh Vigia, June ran off. I wanna talk to you PJ. Let's let's beat it. I'm out of here. You're that's the one thing too. When that happened. I sit shown you you never act off emotion like this. What the fuck are you doing doesn't? They it was all emotions because her whole thing for leaving Judith lie. She's like I'm going to get her back. No matter what. And one thing about any emergencies. You let a pocket populist happen. The most dangerous people are people with your new. They will fuck you up over them. Got them kids. Rick eater, nigga neck out come home doing a whole damn commercial while ago say I think that was heard responding like that. And I'm like what you doing? That's the first time we see her genuine like here for Judah OC really does love the show because prior to that. We'd never really saw her. Would you like this always babysitting? That's not true. She's rare Jude if we see her sitting down like we think lips are spending time with Judah, you can spend time with them. But to be like, a lose your mind because they going. Yes. I I didn't think that of her out by just keeping his other Negga kid. He he died. No, I guess I'll the doctor. I got older see we're about we watching the same show because I, you know, over the time even was small I've seen her spend time, we've Judah redid you to, you know, take you about the I mean, we must be two separate show. So I guess maybe I've been filled the parent enrolls because she let do to hang out with Neagh and all the time. She's never around like you see her one or two times. It's like the weekend that babysit is. He is. And then be like what about all day? Then everybody just raising Yuki you I mean, this kinda why just and his my problematic lease phase. Because like this. I disagree 'cause responsibility increased to say it for me. I was the first time I recognized her being like, oh, she really cares about this child because she lost like all normally her reasonable since kicking in. And she's like she's more diplomatic which he didn't. Ran in like, yeah. I mean, I'm cared on. This is actually, but yeah, that's the first time you notice what can I say? Okay. Okay. Because I say we're not watching the same show 'cause I seen her. It's been many times with her and and around her and talking to her and like they have shown Kanda over the years, the the relationship so and you have to tune in the only issue trying to get Judith, which is her only connection with Rick because calls dead you have her thinking. Okay. I really hope my best friend didn't as runoff with these children. You know, even though that's the reality of. And I think she knows us the reality of it. But she also has that blind already knew because he said it went Jocelyn once sought a footprint. I don't think those kids for prince Joscelyn for France. Okay. Because she said, oh, no Jocelyn charts. What have you done? Okay. She knew it could only house missing. What I mean, technically, it could have been killed Jocelyn in Iran off or something like that Jocelyn somehow getting kidnap she knew from the footprints right away. Like Jocelyn killed their man. Okay. Okay. Like, she got my baby. Okay. I thought when the keys they do. The na na na from the the way she was talking during the footprints, but this is our spot in PJ. PJ grandma Madejski. Hey, put that down. 'fridgerator? Gut down. What's you pay? Have you got at this? Now choose. Pita PJ got got got forty three four point four forty. Darrelle comes in behind. I was wondering why the foot Darus late. He was out tracking something, I guess. Oh, no. Basically, they get inside. They get into a hallway and children all standing there shit lily looking like children going right with knives. Michelle trying to negotiate with him. Now did love the way they shot this scene because they showed it from Daryl's perspective where he walked into the hallway and just like he was apprised the see Michelle confronted with a wall of children, right? So. Where my kids drop. Tell me. What are the kids shoot use the aero to shoot Darryl in the shoulder because they know how to hit didn't hear Tim deer who owed ask kid. Yeah. That's the one. I don't like the tween. He likes seven-team. He barely made the cut for the kids like jostling right to kill him. So like what happens when the kids get to old? This are Kelly. Let them go kill them. I don't understand. So then the. Mcdonnell is knocked out by one of the kids, and they wake up tied to a pipe in a room. What our gagged and the children are branding them. I'll legit thought they was gonna skin skin them because you know, the last time, and they showed group tied up. They was getting cut up but the net. Remember that was getting on here bashing the net cut, and they was going to be fed to the group that was eating people terminus terminus. So I'll probably not the last time I grew in Totta. But I just like what this. So I thought it was I thought this is what they was about to do like oh. They couldn't live in society because they really had to eat regular food and go to school new kid really hated school. That's an interesting way to take that skidding the I guess we did see the skinning the deer diagrams. So maybe we just didn't see skimming humans diagram. Yeah. I practice deer. And then we do pregnant black women next, Daryl. I mean that is how size goes in Americans not hard to lean at any right Todd up. They wake up and the kids are embarrassed trying to loosen themselves from the ropes. The whole time. Yeah. Because these kids obviously can't tie too tight. And they don't know the DALE'S like, look, I fully living Disney his name could. But it takes time to work itself free, correct? Take a hot iron from the fire like you, Brandon the cow, right? This the wish out classes like Zepa. I hope not Joscelyn's overseeing all this strong. Oh, man. There gets brand. I got your wife beat on steel, man. Yes, somebody Joe has with five hundred degree hot, Mitzi. How cool you're going to be. Stressing does have any time to look and. Two children are capable of anything. You can tell the truth. Was scared like the Chadha was directing Mitchell. Dron? I don't know that they were scared. She was directing the kids. They were. I seem more indoctrinated like a coat then they scared of her. Okay. It was just like she's crazy. And she runs the group. So she's like, we brand people we kill people. We like, you know, this is what we do. So she's talking to Michelle whose mouth is tied up. Help them become because they can't be soft. Not. Not like. She says where is she? And indicates go to brave Michelle. Here's the thing. I kept thinking, oh, what are the rules for Jocelyn? Like doesn't McDonnell Taylor. We have a child inside of her or she likes. So well that she's like, listen, I believe in late term abortions. Like, I'm I'm basically like the nightmare. Donald Trump is from in about abortion, Jocelyn, light, loosen. The baby is borrowed show. Fuck you got a bunch of bikers your babies her group already. She's she got white babies like she's just like babies making the model. I'm just apprised. She wouldn't be like, well, let's. Yeah. Why not let the let Michelle carry the baby to term if it was all about making the baby's providers e pack the way that we came. And I think that she got these children from actually going like killing their parents in. But I did children his mind now, which also which also was weird to me because it's like like I do keep wondering what a fuck are these kids from that? None of them are like, this is crazy. You know what I mean? Like, we're like what our parents all ready dead. And she just been like taking offers some she's been going everybody town kidnapping the kids like what age are the case. He's kidnapping how come none of 'em. Miss home than my sad today. Mom years gone like is wild. I mean, I guess it's so much turnover here parents in Zepa 'cause tending Judy van got her birthday or she by Jocelyn and show the same person. Oh, mommy. Mom, cut her hair different. Well, anyway, mom, what we know. Now, are we hang out with kids all day and bringing the people start early they all look alike. Control. Don't let it control you. They they branded a pregnant lady he got too much joy added. It. The one that did the brand the hill that thing on just a little too long. So and that lane those cars they had on their back that we have seen like early into season. You see see like shown dare take off their shirts. And you see like these marks on their backs and also plans to episode was titled scars it should have been called brands though to come on. Okay. Scars. But what I think one of the things I was interested in about that is. What is stars that can undermine what the fuck? Do you do when it's kids 'cause I'm going to this point is like killing another doubt for being ads on z pack during shit like you that can crazy. You gotta go with kids like Kate. I just go I killed seventeen kids. And it's okay, right. If I wanna kill these little because right now, they just Brandon me. But is really they fall or that the father doesn't woman brainwash them stuff like that. And it ain't like Curro because Carol has the keyed up into past you know, she's had to make this this hard decision. She AAC hitter. Yeah. Book Decatur, right? I'm saying seventeen kids, caring. I'll think picking up putting down here. I'm saying one crazy kid. Okay. I get Carol spend a lot of time working with the kids. Everything. Enrolled spores out Lizzy own light Lizzy kill me, an in Lizzy had to go. Like it wasn't. It wasn't like she was like I'm gonna kill this kid. Michelle to me. I'm like, I just can't think way out of the situation where these kids get. I'm like now, you might have to kill. So anyway, they Sean wakes up at the brand and she passed out Daryl's already await he choking out kid home tying him up. And that would make you pass out the kid. Listen, I got some candy pocket. You can't go ahead and tell them on stand Darrow trick the kid, oh he had to take decade walked up on him. And Dale puck nobody's feed itself. Or my guess is. There was loosening. We saw him loosening. The roads though. So he just got loose and he their kid. Yup. We saw at work in his hands. Like Angela king is doing so fucking good this year like the other. So like before this. I feel like that would have been a five minute seen him figuring out how to get his hands out of this shit this when they just showed us like they're all his Batman. He started working get loose ten minutes ago. So we cut ten minutes in the future, y'all know, we don't gotta show. You got losing knock. This little forgo side hit and choked him out. We just saw Michelle awake. He already over to do like crooked. And then he wakes gives Michelle lose gives her pipe. And it was like we gotta go find the kids more screen time. You can keep stuff moving. Yeah. So they go to look for the kids and split up basically Ambra show has a metal pipe of weapon. And. Girl Jocelyn goals for Cobra commander because they walk in the hallway she's like spread out. Let's let's more of them might be more Comey as then they masala. She's like they both blues get him. And then she's like a the kids like have entire plan for this. She's like two other kids lead them out of the school. Lock the school which they did with a chain lot. They did they fire drills. Right. Come on kids are. Okay. She was like, okay, keys getting permission. Right. It was like, okay. And then she had two of the kids that was. Two of the kids that was what her one had Michelle sword. And I had a knife was I all right, y'all attack her and she was like I'm going to get away. Does he ran away? Damn the fucking sue villain. Sign a new toys and was like have it like the kid's name was lying. This was this other thing too when she ran away. I said what how she survived as long. She came fight in Zepa US point have to kill somebody. Right. And you saying look he is do your dirty work. Why are you running? Like, it wasn't like she checked on the kids. We like hope my kids. Okay. She was like no do hits me. One goodbye. Like, I hope you have hail hydra. His dollars like damn what brainwash in Vern glass. Army of kids would be doping z pack. If you was leading the army because eighteen stupid, the no better for, you know, saying like an adult my ask you a question. Right. Wait. Why would we do that we might keel, but the kids just gonna be like she say run through our wall? But yeah, it was real bad. So yes, she runs off and leave the kids to fight Michelle. And this is a pretty gruesome fight, man. Like the episode had already been trying enough. But. This fight will was out the hook. I'll try to fast forward to it. That's Darrell choking out that kid, by the way. Yeah. Okay. Chuck it out the kid. Well, let me get to the hallway fight. What Jocelyn day? Around here is. Yeah. Had them blow. Whistle everything they blew the whistle qualified drill. Jazz Malysz thick and the kids on her kids. She's better off you live in the past chasing a ghost Judas with me. Payers feels. Juta is running out here. Like, they was having fun. Hafer? Mommy goes through real, right? Tell me doing who told you to do it. That's what happened. Update doesn't have with Jocelyn. Sees why are you take my kids to like the demons told me to do it? Okay. So then we had this intense fight with two kids. You know, what's next? Chill. Cure more. Marcotte kill kill. I'm mark. Apparently that brand councils the Mark now, I don't know why hill the kids didn't just kill them when they don't hung up. My what was the point? But okay. Now for some reason the older dad was not about that life. I don't know what she was way out. Our wait. Listen ready. She got moved by Michelle so easily like he was. So like only give baggage those the thing I liked about it. They made it like, oh, this isn't a fighting the key. Right. Yes. This is what would happen. Why would we why would we concern until we got to they're sick? And. Some show gonna reach down to get her sore. But the thing is is that the feet of the other kid that got knife. Know, it's like, oh, no baby smarter than this doing. So the kid kicked disorder knocked out away with one hand in the on the belly. I mean, this was brutal ever. So I'm like she on miscarry in the middle. I know she had RJ. But I'm like was he a premature baby was like she miscarried in the middle of this hallway. What the fuck is a lot of stress. It made me think she does somebody else to replace right? Like, obviously hooky they make it. But I guess, you know, but females I guess. Live. She made it somehow. But yes, so the kid cut, sir. And then she reaches deep into the depths of Africa to use our primal African American mother scream raid and scare the shit. I didn't white kids and they worked like they had Weber's. She starts creaming. They ran out of the. Rain. She picked up a switch. Obviously the doors lot. So then it gets worse out. So has it go out the side of and what is Darrel during this old? Chilly. They split up action balls taking his time catching up. Doc only hit with a two phone coming down dog. I'll I wouldn't a juice. Jim X Dougie was going on here chainsaw massacres. This everybody was calling TRITON teases caris. Shit on the bet twice with the with the word. Three times. Meanwhile, Massana sees taking all the Alexandrian kids into a trailer. I'll be honest, I had a flashback from fried. I'm with you there. It's like, I don't know why this world star. I don't know. But I was like, ooh. From. Going to be a baby get. So to have them the league that's going to even if action. Yeah, did tariff all tariff all down at the Michelle data in the leg and locking all the two girls tear. Absolutely, so. Yeah. Jocelyn falls noble noble. In what she falls to the ground of Michelle. And of course, finishes the deal and kills Mitch. Just to you today. Black on black crime so much for a reconciliation, you know, conflict resolution Z pot. That's what happened man start trying to take kids. So then she stabs her to death. Yeah. Acting. The trailer. And shown basically is the face. She's like to the rest of the kids like look now. Yeah. I need to stay out of ground, folks. Business on the killed your mama. Yes. He told young come back. I'll be safe stabbed almost in my stomach on pregnant, and you need to go read a book right outta kill my best friend kids is like where you're gonna to get some us to. You can come back out, exactly. We'll take care of you know. Over children the rest of you with me. So I guess he next up because he owed enough. By the way, he immediately got trip when he did this. But Josh would kill all the key is no baby resource. People are resource. Okay. Yeah. I don't even understand why he wanted to kill out of kids like what they do that may have been her playing 'cause she didn't know who was gonna come. Remember? She said I'm sorry had to be used. So she figured out. Somebody would product comforters jewelry. I'll tell you what she said. I'm sorry. I had to be UC, man. I'm sorry. I didn't know it was gonna be you that I stole these kids from and I'm sorry. It was you. But I I still kids. That's what I do baby. So then. I guess he feel like is unlimited kids. I hear he might not know. I don't I don't know. But so she ends up killing all them kids, and we'll get a cool montage of her in the past in the present killings. Armies were hurt in the past killing the kids. So they can so they don't actually show her really like killing the kids always cut away to show like her killing zombie. But it's right where to slice to kill the kid and the internet's a loss day. My listen she killed fuck out kids, though, they give trying to migrant folks business. State out of this. That's what good parenthood with teach. Okay. Go stand in the corner. Pair tend to Jocelyn was doing right. Just just kill everything that you don't like. And teaching manners Judith. So they basically is one key left. And she's li-. And Michelle was like don't like that. Kids job is to go into the trailer. Kill all the Alexandrian kids and Michelle like don't do it. And I'll know just the active sheila's seeing all her other friends get you the girl look here. It was like, you know, what designing worth it. But whatever happened. He ran away. I wonder what made her run away to like 'cause she clearly was down for the suicide pact one. I in my opinion. I understand what Roger was saying about. This is the same is little girl to boy or didn't say, I don't think he's not PJ. I think it was many things. This was the one that she told her to stay strong when she branded Michelle Wright until that's why I think that she was younger like a younger part. So she fought on instructions, but you could kinda tell she was scared, and I don't even think she even killed anybody before. So the thing was like, okay everybody that is dead. Now, I'm not going here. Kiedis kids. I don't always have to strip to. I've never done this before. So I want to kill me some running to these kids she had been playing with two. She like, I'm sure it was even harder for her than maybe that tween. Who was like? Yeah. They just fucking annoying kids. Like, my little brother lows, those might this was somebody. She was playing high go, see quit, right? You know, your parents probably would ahead you in this bath to take pigeons with the, you know, why does she was doing with these kids? I see it being hard to be like Ireland, and hopefully, I know Judah younger, but hopefully Judah kicked back, then that's what it would have been dope. This show her running things she going to do them as you to talk on whatever she do too. We'll for Ayers. Yeah. That would have been different. The do it that way. I I like the way they did it though like the kid runs off and Judah comes outside of the. Outside of trailer. She sees Michelle covered in blood. And there's a moment where it's like a pause, and I can't tell if this was shown thinking Dedaye indoctrinate, you are you crazy to it was Michelle hoping like, I hope you don't understand what's going on. And I just killed all these little kids to save. You thought it was the letter. Yeah. And I thought she also looked like she when she walked away this. She was trying to lie. Don't look, right. Like like, you would when us young and your parents don't want you to see a sex scene. Right. And so then they get back to Alexandria. And all the kids get United reunited with families who didn't go out to get to other show. All okay. She came bleeding from the stomach pregnant with all your kids into is why she can veto shit. And better motherfucker were Daryl showed up latest hail like the cops and every action movie. What happened? I just kill all the kids by myself. We'll never speak this again. Thanks. So that's the end of the past to the present. This should be kinda short, actually. Michelle sees air walking tours her because I think Michelle is worried about the fair. So she seems to be constantly looking out the window monitoring stuff. She didn't go to the fair with everybody. I figured out. She wouldn't go. Yeah. So she leaves out the house tells you to keep playing with the kids and they plan on a bike. And she says. What's going on air? Why are you coming over here? He's like Darryl is at the gate. She's like why you ain't let him in say 'cause he's not alone. She goes as easy company is Henry Connie who thinks she's cool with and then Lydia who she ain't cool which she like what she doing. Right hull. Right. Darryl says Henry's heart you closes. I wouldn't come. We had no other choice Amazon is lie. But what Lydia and Henry Henry says she's with us so quick question. And maybe I missed it. But how does she know Lydia because she went there when they kept you like her face wishy washy there. Head to mask terrorists interrogated there. They was they were down interrogating when she was in jail. Then Shonen them went back over initially. There were also shown a master at the stone was doing. What if fires you on the wild thinking Darrow? Did it once they got back to jail. Yeah. Now, see I was the proc- recognized clean. I thought she would have been like who the hell is this new girl without oh, that's Lydia member week catcher her she. Oh, she show. Okay. Tonight's don't she? Right. She got some new clothes. Okay, girl. I didn't even know you. That's the boost. So yeah, here is like she would us air says we can't trust them songs like. Yeah. But I do trust Darrow y'all could come in. So they I'm like yoed Aaron really switched fast. He went from. Let's all be one to come together as communities, and Jesus we you right? We need a fair. I'm gonna talk to Michelle to my y'all kill Jesus. Fuck everybody. Nobody can come in. I don't know ya. I know three hours when I don't know her. So y'all stay outside like what happened with this? The second buoy don't like is one. And I agree with you network. Just as one of those things where he's like, look I have tried to go out there. I had to hope and every time I hope we get yanked away. That's why I'm a single data right now. I'm good, y'all. Right. You don't want that? Don't like what Michelle they could go to the fair she had to come to him. Like, I'm gonna let him go. And he was like for real because I was shut this Dan, write a single parent. I guess it differs. I. We don't we had went through the, adoption and everything. And now, I'm standing here with the bag alone. No. So they're here gets is the Lydia conference him. He's over there. You know, hurting Michelle's watching it. And so is. A thicker is Paula the savior with the Nick tattoo. Host of real comfortable. And it's like she never was a sell out. She's she over there like van John's, right? Yes. She's like, I all the way. It's like, I never was a democrat. I wanna counseling everything not just on the back. Okay factor. Alexandria. You guys are so good. You don't take enough credit? You really don't. So. Yeah. And it's too because is where Neagle is it. You know what I mean? Like, he's there you in the first one. I wonder how long she try to free me. And I'll do something and note never did. He would never had a Boston. You any light? I was like like fuck perilous. Yeah. You never worked for nobody. You'll be like they did they look I get a check every you think it was the militant face. Did it the first mill face or the segue army after look at Paula like policy? I don't want to be one of these wives. They gotta fuck this nigga. So I'm gonna be killing people form it's just a job because either this fucking. You know, maybe maybe not in the mic text. You know, he like so what you're trying to do trying to get some of this. And he was like, I don't know. Got you say you don't wanna be a Lieutenant. No. So anyway, here we get stitched up and Darryl says the plan is to go to the Canedo matters. They just stopping to get here, and we stitched up, but he knows they can't stay 'cause you know, the whispers will be add to them, and he know Carol he's gotta get care. Yeah. I I I'll be more concerned with Karen was right? We don't get there before the streetlights come down. We have problems going to be hit with us. We didn't see last week. I asked air was where is hitting right this what you don't want. Okay. We saw when they say when she say them from terminus as she put in charge of Henry and watching out for so he's like, we're going into kingdom, necks and. Sounds like that's a good idea. Y'all get out of here. Bye. Bye. Glad they stop mom. They stop in. You know, she was like me at Christmas. I got a movie y'all have a good one. Make it a heavy. Okay. I'm gonna go watch some NFL games. This bar, y'all. Have a good one. Thank you come through. So then Aaron. Onuma michelle. Michelle tales, Laura to keep an eye on Lydia and Connie tells sign language, I would do it again. I would save Lydia again. Amazon was like that's good for you. Keep on living a little girl. Oh, but in because now she knows where at least two of the properties are right at this point. Well, that's the thing. She don't necessarily. I mean, Lydia knows was doesn't necessarily mean a whispers now. But if you don't trust somebody you basically feel like the whisperers. No, right. Like, if I don't trust you, even if you know, really you really aren't talking to them. I still I don't know. Okay. But they do know they seem them go in the whispers. No violets. Andrea. You didn't do the two. He's walking up on the side. When I got there. And they was like we got to alpha. Does it end of the episode and that is kingdom which I just watched episode? Okay. Because you gotta think even 'cause you also know that even if she's not telling them like this the weaknesses that I observe they keep regard here. They're tracking them, and they may show up and be like we killing everybody. 'cause I know my daughter was well, I'm getting that. Ooh. Bad john. I'm sorry. It's okay. It's okay. I'm just I'm just want to get it. Thank you forget. Thank you clever. -cation this. Why I watch it twice because legit like this. 'cause Lord knows. I want these motherfuckers Email to me about no God down. I'll Email yet at Rahm over. So then she then air comes up and says like, basically, we we try stay trail back through the woods, and we cleaned up as much of a pattern. We can't. But you know, they still could find their way here. So we need to get them to fuck out of here. And, you know, Michelle like, of course, like. Nigger? Fuck you dollars on like, he she can go like we problems. And so then we get the scene where? Henriot sitting on a poet and his leg stitched up and hear things Louis kind of growth, there's his leg wound. And then Lydia touches it as like, you know, don't look that bad to me. That's that's when I knew I was like get your as back to world class boy about this life does not for you. Why? Because he thought that was gross. I had living the life of Morgan in the stick. It's going to be a lot more like it yet. If they've me it was just like I thought he was out of his element because he left her dirty ass touches wound. I'm like trying to get reinfected run. Like this. I look. She has I'm juice all line. She touching land touch Oleg. Still learn how to wash their hands properly. Right. I just got introducing soap, what are you doing? Playa. I showering years. This even use the stove where she wanted other people probably nutshell. Russia dish Ray? Why? Dick that whole. Masao came over, and basically Lydia the top that fathers give people that take out. They dot com. You know, it'd be a lot easier. If you just wasn't hit she tried to accept this. And this the second time he walked on. Oh. What does the hand? Yeah. Well, he can't wait for a long time. Well, he registering for her in the woods that black mamas retain win, bro. Try to stay. Hold on. Oh, man. You a kid? You you. You're a kid trying to do that. You're like it's time for her to leave. Like, I got homework. Anyway, you know, how it is baby. But really it's like, I gotta go. Her choice 'cause I'm nice because I show my ads is gonna be a problem a real life. You've made light let me take this bag for you. Take it too low right now with that the mall. It's time for your company to go. Hey. Hey, I got an earlier day on it. And so it's like we both want to leave. Sunday mean I to. Thank you. Now here is thanking her for letting everybody go to the fair. I love Michelle sponsor here. All this. Not all this. If I would have known this. I wouldn't have like you are problematic. Is idaho. Italy better when she was captive ahead. Oh, we're on people hate the week. So look better this whatever y'all say, I don't think this episode. She acted so good. The week felt like our hair doesn't I knew she was in his own down. She acted. And I haven't thought was about how bad is league is another leave actors bringing out what I don't care. To try to put. Cameraman's zoom in. Booted with you to protect place flat cameraman things, I'm not proud of. Things. I'm not proud of forget I calls. I've mentioned that had the suit that one thousand like listen, can you get a different angle. Try to cameraman keep zooming on his own, right? Say over you got the camera annual phone out. Like, why are you double recording the Caesar need to get a new replace Cameron? I'm going I'm in the union. You can't get rid of. Tre people. Risk others. Hasn't been easy. Just what I do. Pace. Easier. The only life. Add to risk was my home. Music. I could just. Walkaway? And take all the risk with. That's somehow can make everyone else say. That wouldn't be so hard. Think about that. That was the kindest version of bitch. Keel sale aren't Jesus Christ shown that was all bloody then walked away that was like miss March. You like this person? They don't like oh. Taking maybe if you just leave and never come back like, it's all everybody's problems. Now, I have met miss mar. So I don't know that she would before to that cold. But it's close. It's right. It's right. I can't say I can't confirm. She wouldn't be that way. Probably like despite a bit too nice all the way to get a better reception as you better have a gift in here. Right. Sear miss Morrow tonight. Why not just kill yourself? Just save everybody. The problems. Why you had to kill your mama too. The disagree with Q not kill mop. Not mom. I don't. Yes. Out of this vertebral voice. For her activists. But is good. Yes. Good to Karen doesn't mean impression like once every three thousand episodes. I know right. Kaby afraid to fail care. Okay. So ties jokes don't work. Sometimes they do. So then and the thing is she should've told her I love his real. Ota better than me. Just right. Now you now you just showing up. No. But then. Yes. Why don't you just kill yourself? And she's like, nah, I'm not, you know, like a okay, Shelley and then. The crew lease Darrell Henry, Lydia and Connie they go they going out of the kingdom and before they leave. There's a small scene with Judith Darrow sit. Now about a water having a conversation. It's a real simple conversation where she basically jittered express she would like to help. And she and Darryl's. I you really don't know like keeping you RJ safe. Your mom is right. That's the that's the main thing we need to do and Judah is like, no it isn't. I mean, not just keeping us safe. But I heard stories by we save is in one and we could do that again. And there's her out of stories like what it cost us and all that stuff. And she says what would my dad do? And then Darryl didn't say that. She said, yeah, that's what I thought. I say God damn this kid is good. Like, that's the part while say this kid is Michelle daughter because my shows a lawyer should be legally putting these negative. He's like these bad situations where they. I can't answer. Like well. You change go to your room. Away where you like disrespected me, right? It's not disrespectful, but it's just the truth which likely because like I'm trying to school you supposed to be a little kid that I can school like, you know. You make you do. I can make all right whichever way. I'll put in the kid's figuring it out. Like, not bullshit. So the Michelle RJ Judah sit down for dinner and Judah satiate hungry wants to go to her room early. And Michelle says. You know? Yeah. You can go to your own put your food go to be. Melts too. When she was like like like when she was twin with food eat it. I was like look such a mom moment. I do my I enjoyed seeing like Liga demaim right there. Like, it's the little things like that. What trying to humanize? The people that we know some song co killed. So they do goes to a room shale goes to bed. She Michelle goes Bache wakes up in the middle of the night, we see scar her back though, she got from the and she goes Judas room says, hey. We used to talk, you know. And the reason she wants to is because I believe her and Darryl had a conversation when Daryl and then were leaving and Darryl toe Tobin show like, you know, Judas not just a kid, right? Like, you gotta talk to her about stuff and Machel's. I just wanted to stay a kid and Darryl's like, but that's that's that's a gym. Not just look you got there of and Judith at that time, this is before dinner and bedtime to was out like at night, waving them goodbye. 'cause she wanna help Amazon's like will. I'm just trying to help her stay a child. So that we don't have to do that. And Darryl told you shown at that time you say you should tell her about shit. We went through back in the day 'cause she don't know McDonald's. Like, nah, she's not just kid is Rick's dollar. Like have. Over the close. It was closer before. So then was shown shown like I say goes to a room at night over the door Judah famous sleep in bed the house before no not once now, I know he was fast and say. Look here that was stupid though. I was thinking about not Judas Nabal when the when she was small I calm myself running away. So I got on my big wheel and rolled down the street. Mom and said, I know you come back I'll way right here to get it. That's not really the sneaking out. The ice Niko. But I call quote, unquote, call muster runaway kind of like, dude if dealer rate, we're about you, Justin. I know you as fast day. I definitely got caught. Everytime. I like how you up right now. Like just magically woke up at this particular everytime. You'll be like man, they can almost be no US me gotta yell like your bedroom. Or what would you doing? I'll both. I have climbed out the window before. And I also tried to be quiet going at the front door which. Worse idea both of them just here. I've never done it. I I was always afraid because I don't know. It's like. Mama's. They just had he sits like something they've spent on housing, right? Just sydell. And be like, oh, some paint. Right. This thing, you know, you get caught well Judah snuck out Amazon's first instinct is not to like run out after whatever. She actually goes to see Negus. Because you know, she knows that you'd have goes down. There Thompson from time to time. We've seen her seat her sneaking down there. She told her not to talk to me. But we heard argument, which is you chain. So why can't he change? So I'm gonna be talking to him and Michelle really couldn't even kinda mandate. Because you know, she's still Rick and lorries and change out the now most any five so I like to speak to your manager and managers needing so I'm gonna go speak to him. So. Yeah. Negus down his sale waiting doing nothing. Really? I mean. That nickel. This is better than getting chased by dollars and three connect- water and throwing up. So I am good in the spiel down arena some Tallahassee coats or some come on to do push bulking up like he'd been. A lot of a lot of muscle way. There's no way if he if he really was imprisoned. He should have been bulking up doing calisthenics. Yeah. Let me get to a leader. How do you ever get to be charged that that work at right? Skip forward to where Neagh and Michelle talking pay. Just got the whole thing from dinner and everything. It was good to see them in the same room talking in the past things they've been in the same room, and it's been real good. Yeah. She came in mad as hell. That was when she got to the room realized she wasn't in there. She had a house coat to a black, mama. Hair pulled up. Has you down here today just curious or after the damn question? Not since yesterday. What the hell does he talk to you about? Anyway. Now, you gears. For someone who wants to be helpful doing pretty shit job of it. Nothing really Chih-chia specifics homework. Sometimes other times how much she misses her own Darrel. She likes hearing stories about her gone. So you feed goal. Ship should smoke out. The bullshit. Let her know that she's just as much bad ass. Carl was. How he got into the sanctuary shot up a bunch of my men. Dear old dead in just lice my job dealer. They're all stores. Michelle, they are Nuder you tell her these things why. Because you know, that I haven't because you're trying to earn some sort of trust with her something that you can use my. You like hearing yourself talk. We have that in common. The point is she comes down. They're mad as hell. He couldn't get a word out. I also notice he wasn't doing it thing. He liked to do. He played a game. See how much information you really know? Yeah. He don't know anything. But he makes you think he no at all. Like, I think he's got to. I'm just going to be truthful. I think he tried to start with their game. And then she taught him. You know, what, you know, voted the windows. I don't know. What's next this time around the turn to sign light off in this bitch? Like, okay, look, I don't know. Also, I noticed it was morning. So I'm assuming that she woke up early in the morning to check on. Of and then by the time, she got the knee, and it was like, Don or whatever. But yes, it was. Then they is he had to stop playing them because she stopped playing. Because I straight with her. And maybe if you did that and you'd be talking to her right now instead of multi vice second time right from me off. So it was interesting though, is the ain't Rome. No, he not like he'd a windy Williams of the Alexandria telling you, man, it's not that Wendy be lying. No saying she'd be right watch show yesterday. Not watch her show. I notice word be I watch that show was good singers made a confessional show. I mean, we talked about it on the show. She confessed that she was on drugs and RIA or she was getting outdraws and going to rehab might man you went from talking about the news being news. I wonder if people are gonna polish is because everybody was accusing husband domestic violence during their time. I mean that don't mean not. Technically what? So I don't think they will apologize. What have you ever seen? Anybody apologize? I'll be honest internet. Make up a live is rod allowed just make sense. No, I believe it. So in believe it all right, shoot straight. Really? Did you tell them what you did to Glenn? To abraham. I didn't think so he's been on us with her. She has questions and I answer them. So yeah, she's heard those stories too. You're not letting new people in. She thinks that things she'd be like harles how they should be in the letter. You don't get to talk to me about Carl. And you definitely don't get to tell me what's wants field. She is author. Exactly, right. She is your daughter. So she has her own ideas about how things should be. Heating, come down here because you're curious you came down here because you have no idea where she is. Maybe she's off petting a horse or maybe she is exactly like her mother, and she is not taking she lying down. Goes back home. And she finds a no in a box of music a gun. The gun is go and notice I gotta go help. You can't stop me. Man. So Judah is gone to hell Darrow, Henry county and a Lydia get to Canedo and the conversation that her and Negus have them was really deep because decomposition they have a now as a compensation in Neagh in Canada won't to have the first time, but she didn't wanna hit that. He was like need to talk to you. Tell truth does washy down here talking to me, and she didn't wanna hit and her sumptuous that you just trying to paint yourself as good guy. And he was no I told her everything a good bet in ugly light, you know, your daughter. She not gonna take no bullshit. I just told her the truth. And like you said if you were talking to her she wouldn't be asking me questions and believe to believe the true because I don't think need afraid like what else they going to do to. Right. So you know, I and it also does give him a chance to take the Truman belie the reason. I did it was this or I was wrong about blank or. You know, I was out of my mind crazy, or whatever I also think too when she originally woke up and saw Judah for near. She didn't immediately go out searching for because she didn't think she was leaving the area. She thought maybe she just went to like some space within the area and now, but then at the talking to Neagh nothing Neagle like, oh, okay. So she going going. Yeah. I think he I think she must've spent some time between that and searching the area like like you wanna spend outside the house. But yeah. Like, not outside, Alex. Andrea and league have been like the last place. She checked there'd be like Woosh she down here. And that's why I think it turned from like like you say like the wee hours that heirloom one until like oh this now. Yeah. Because like like, I say it likes. He woke up in the morning, maybe she couldn't sleep or some and let me go talk to and it was kinda dark, and then she's talking to Neagle. And it's kinda like, you know. So anyway, she does go out on. Horse. She finds. Judas bike it parked out in the middle of the other. The some grass or something. She gets out. There's a group is obvious. She kills out. His army's this is a cool special fake because it's a montage her killing them kids mixed up with her killing the president. So it's key is in the past her and the president chop chop chop chop shop. Finally, we see Judas standing by herself. There's like threes left. She's chopping up. Business right now, you're little girls. Get busy with store like she killed three or whatever. And then once ambi- she'd forgotten stick sticking a and Michelle distracted her and grabbed Judah, and she's like, mom e hell hell, and it was kind of a moment. That reminds you that as much as they made you like this great fighter and action person on his show. She still a kid still needs shown correct and Cheryl comes over and saves her, but due to cut on the hand not like to turn into a Walker, but she's got a little cut. And after she saves her. You know, is is just opposed to splash back of Michelle saving Judah, which he was a kid from that crazy ass kids. So she she tends to the wound. And they have a conversation about what just happened. Like, you know. Can I thought? I was too late. Thought. Changed? Moss? Getting like you. Because compliant. All it was. And this moment is poignant because one deny grey areas just acting her as she was seven different machines in this episode. But. This is moment of realization that McDonald's. Like, oh, you remembered that when you were a kid I've been operating time. I'm a letter via kid I'm gonna protect it from this world, right Judah. Remember her killing on them look kids like she was never a kid. That's the only reason she comply when she do. She know. I'm like to kill to kill. Remember bitchy was crazy. Draw sword. It would nice to the whole time. I remember they made it all seem like a game. So we went with. She was. They all are. You did. Time. I thought you bar. I hope to didn't. And you never said anything after that first year. It may decide. What I've done at home. To understand because you didn't go. So how how do we here right now? Friends need our help to that's important. Here's. He said, here's. Cursed me 'cause you love me. And I love he ought to in loving. Someone means doing whatever it takes to them safe. Right. She is operatives. We stopped loving, Carol. Mackey Carole king. San Antonio almost outlook your. Wow. Forget if you that way. Feel every time just to say not like. Kicking me out. But. So what did you think about her her talk with Michelle? Thought it was needed an eye opening. What'd you think about talk with Michelle? I liked it because it goes to show the Darrow and Necas, right? Like, she's not a normal child like her childhood was squashed, you might as well be truthful. Witter? Tele was let her make own decisions. Keep her in the loop and keeper inform. I think moving forward I'm not going to go until everything, but she ain't gonna leave at loop human very truthful with her. So here's what I think. I think it's interesting job. Both appreciate the start. Because this shit Harry Reid talking about, but because he not a little girl with a good in a store. People be hating are Harry. But here we got the same point. Which is we got gotta operate with some compassion. That's the only thing that separates us can savage groups. So we gotta do better in everybody's likes fucking and refer take fuck. Your me. The peace jet, you pizza mother fucking shit. He Di hope you get eating here. We saying the same fucking shit. It's saying got down point it ain't deeper. A look here saying the same thing. But some of our being a little girl that changes everything 'cause the blood Rick Grimes, I guess that makes you act stupid about it. But call saying the same shit and now this little girl saying the saints yet. But we're Henry say, oh, he got a Di okay. So. It was a good talk. It was needed from shown don't mean that. We don't that Jude of not knowing and I don't necessarily feel the same way. But good I've never I've never heard anyone right in to tell us how to die. She getting on got them nerves. She stupid. Show always sound to the next session. I just wanted to make sure they couldn't hear your point making. So that only my point of view got across chat room. We are allowed to get at you care and back to the screen. But yeah, I just think that in general. Judah makes the same points as Henry, but somehow she gets a pass. And I don't know what's wrong with y'all. Why why does that get to be thing that she can do or not? We're not Harry. White women of privilege. Yeah. I guess it is white women privilege goes the chat room never says anything. They don't write in about Jud. If not once also maybe they feel like can handle herself when she got to. And maybe she got better parenting. I'm gonna take one kidnapping. And when do been making terrible life. Oh, like who Harry? He has. Has a tragic, but I'm just saying this because he always. Just because he's been wrong before don't make them wrong. Every time a broken clock. You know what I'm saying? You got one right out of all of this credit score bay rose. Are you telling me supposedly, you go pay via this all saying, I understand what somebody's saying to people saying the same thing, I could tell saying so. So then after that talk they go back and let. Of they go. I mean, they go back to Alexandria. Michelle takes Judah Takhar gray. And Michelle says she made a promise to Rick that never bury another child that's by. And then Rick was gone. She was Lawson Judah laws. She was scared. And after that scare with the kids. That's when all the group decided we let nobody in Alexandria, Alexandria, only take out exander. Fuck everybody else and they make America great again Bill that while. Terrible while I mean, we saw how easy right Nagin get out. And then later Michelle missed it hit does. She was right. And they need to protect the people. They love all the people. They love it. We will. And they go get a van with the roof cut off that is that is being driven by horse care like horses, which is a way to ride in Z pock kinda like that. I mean, you got to steer very style. And so they say. They stop it in on the side of the road. They see Henry his crew there. And that's why I want to ride the kindle, and they like all streets you decided let us come and they hop in. And they go to kingdom and underway in the kingdom. We see twos. Arby's and they stop at the gate, and they watch the wagon roll into kingdoms gates. It is like we must have alpha. So now outra knows where the kingdom it will not kingdom is and where the fair is. And so I I'm feeling like these last two episodes. I'll be a lot of deaths going to be a mother fucking bloodbath. Sephardi? Yeah. So just in a long time to get to to what it was going to like why was walking so slow. I mean, they were walking in Michelle no going by her. So I mean, no, I don't think the whole day and without okay. Get your data while you know, across Charlotte. And I take my car I'm gonna catch pretty soon. And I'll probably get your address. You're not acting stupid. And also when the bridge went out that made a big difference on that it kind of got they can't go straight anymore. Everybody has to go around. And that was the big thing. And that's why Rick was pushing on having a bridge Dan to keep the pathway open with the shortest distance. Ryan sound like they never went back to work on a brunette that shit either. I know what they say fuck, y'all. She could have him. By this is walk catch the bus when they might see came from us true. And also with them zombie spotting them if they would have went by foot. I guarantee you they wouldn't have been spotted because you know, Darryl ain't going to be out there. Come and do the front. I mean, everybody may have went to the front door anyway. But I think that it wouldn't have been as easier to spot. That's probably a good point. So we did get a lot of emails is weak. Dave rice in David. No Ruffin says children of the jiffy popcorn. Oh, hello. Rodney care nigga. This is my first time. Right. And then I couldn't let this episode go without hold on. Let me strength this down. I got too big. I couldn't let this episode go without right? Then Walking Dead has done this year. Kid kill him, Barbara this one was crazy whole squad a murderous children. That can't get on the roller coasters without an adult. I I was hyped as shit. Tara. But then I was immediately upset because I realized that she wasn't in the president. So I knew she was about to get some fuck shit function without saying to black women I say one I'm going to be evil got watch quitting sugar. No, no who rise around desire apocalypse with a bunch of kids. Have you ever travelled anything more than one with the kid? The. Have you ever traveled anything more than a why would a kid imagine? How many times you had to say don't make me put his carriage over sich is down. All you'll kiss. Well behaved probably could use their brand new the bathroom again. I don't listen. I don't want kids, I Brando. So you ain't gonna get in trouble. But once or twice come on. I love the moment with Michelle and Michelle and Darryl on the swing set, especially the foreshadow another whispers where he makes a comment about people in mass. Yeah, he was like some people so evil down to the course like they wearing a mask, and I'm like, ooh message. And I know mcdonagh's a soldier, but she don't she don't sit are pregnant Ashdown somewhere. Yes. She was super pregnant, man. Why would house dangerous? I learned a moment. When Michelle Darryl on the sweat on the swing set, especially this say, I can't believe that Brandon down those kids all of the corn ask here's those children the Coronets kids out here heating up rod ours. Like jiffy stole pop popcorn. I can't believe her friend would do her like that. It goes to show. You can't trust anybody in Zepa one day to helping you through the death of your mother. And a next stealing your kids and fry you like baking. Anyway, I'm looking forward to what these last two episodes having store, I know ALP about the flex shit low you recaps, and I can't wait for them thrown. Come back. Sincerely, David, no refuge. Thank you. Because I wanted to have Darrow things. Well, no dare knows. How LARs to group is now. But other people don't really know how large the whisper our group, and Dan when you add zombies today group like this. They have problem. And and we know the king dome of this. They got there and got knows supplies, right? Bassem in college. The highway me, you know, saying we know they don't want to smoke, and it's fight me. And brought today house a little light. And I know yet before but. Yeah. Like Alzheimer's about album. I guess they may have been hurricane names. They were talking about before may have been them. Yeah. We yeah. No, all those Shakespearean groups of walkers. Those hurts could've been that could have been them as well. We have no idea. What's happening with this year? They blend in so easily to you know, every day, we can take two or three us and all of a sudden hundred of us, then we mashed with somebody as they say, you know. It was thousands of us Walking Dead scars by cans wag five to five says. So Michelle Jocelyn quickly went from girls trip to Nino and g money. In my my sister's Kepa, maybe this season should be retitled parents, and in z pack, who's the most effective Deepak mom, Michelle Jocelyn, alpha them, farts other Loda pie, y'all killing it. Let's see I think you Carol. Say jostling. Gotcha. Okay. Jocelyn guy is vote. You could say Carol, you know. You know, she killed like kill like jazz group of saviors, and Henry didn't even know what happened that night. But I think my vote would probably be for air. Vote. We never see Gracie causing no problems, chilling even lead always follows directions. Right. No, no sense. But that's the same. But see I like Joscelyn's jostling. She's trade them to kill and willing to kill themselves. What she goes scape to fight another day. Yeah. Just don't like kids kill the kids that you can't control. Like like, I don't trust control. They might turn. You feel like she was like Johnson would have kept living. She had about two more years. I said, no, you mom, right? We all got knives. You should never gave us. All you. Like you. Mark the me she raised when preceding pretty good, right? True. True. She got my the one that say kill out of other kids. You said Johnson done. Don't want raise them. Good. Okay. Here's your words against you. All. I just be remembering what you say. Good because she raise them crazy. Like, all right. You said Johnson done that. Greg rice in fuck them keys. Hey, rod care Grigg here. I wanted to Email about Sunday's episode of Walking Dead darkest blackest episode. I've seen in a while. And when I say black is I mean, the last time we seen to black women on the screen at the same time on the show. So I m Sean, right? Don't forget new hair. Boo. The one we got the natural this on the city council in Alexandria. But yeah, not not a lot of media rose. If you know what I mean, I think we've seen ability together yet. Woo laura. We miss you Sasha. Anyway, let's get this out the way one this episode. I allow maybe understand why you caring always say yada won't children fucked them kids. Michelle, mowed them. Mowed down. Kids like a pistol shopper trying to get around children with a Costco car. I loved the horde. She killed a fuck item. She didn't even want to you know, that's our group. Sir. They can't show our group be like fuck yadi. He's got no don't make me. I killed obvious kids know, what to do this once turban kids, someone need to take her a pistol her hat and ground her you'd think Laurie Laughlin would was paired the way, she just defies logic. Do whatever the fuck. Yeah. Bribe her way into no college. Speaking of Judah, what of alpha is taking Judith shown releases Neaga to go. They know on her. This is something to show needs. Because I can't see Michelle. I can't see Michelle doing it. Even at the murder in the little rascals. You didn't think about that? But it could be a weapon you man, you'd be killing people go out. No. Makes them happy. They saw hill the cat now. The way the way they tried to make a relying does he just not like we can Doty water? Different. What is it that also kinda pampered? This one is thirty right. That's true. This is unfil- to the Philistines out here. I got a good one going back to my prison sale. We'll get book unlimited books come on over here. Using books have civilized conversation. I get to hear all the juicy gossip from my window to seven. I gotta go, right? I gotta go back to myself just to see him in a row Zito. Go ahead, babe. I'm missing my favorite show next episode kinda paper, right? Like each show say what I want you. He may intro intro songs to the different shows. Prison window, right? You know, his favorite show. What we needed a debate today's stepdaddy up, and he'd be looking out there and gave me, but Sean on the light from heaven low. Oh me. Oh, eight million almost. Number. Number four for the love of guy. Please don't kill Connie. I went RAI about how he feels about liking the character only for them to kill kill them. Yeah. I love me some tiny narrow got good chemistry to they kill county. Avi. Hurt kinda older woman got their babies. This Connie is the one that can't she's can't here. She is so fine and pretty nice. She kills. Yes. She would kill down. Downside. Explain to me what the downside is. Anyway until next week is cannery. And I hope that's guard is infected. But, but but you'd have had a scarred as week to Josse would you cut on you? They get to the same thing. Henry and wants to save Lydia and take them to candle secures say, thanks cuter. It happens did. Oh, wow. Okay. Maybe maybe here is a look Yuda. He might could get away with it. But he not. Nagy ninja says hey this episode was good. She caught it the piper Z park. Not the arc. Kelly version, you soon as vicious guard disgust me, it was a story before R Kelly was Vinit, y'all. Yeah. This is why we call upon five. He calls himself that actually is nasty ass. Hey. What? This episode. Ocala joke. So. Wow. All right. Maybe you should just beat it. Hey this episode is good. It was. Yes. Just and just leave him alone. Okay. Go to one place. Yeah. You do that good career? Coming to trying to be starting some guest stars. This is thriller. Just come on. Day and night look at how about that. Okay. This is tap dancing machine. Let it go. This was good. It was a little predictable for me. They put a lot of clues out there for the audience to get what went down. But the way Michelle ju the connected. The air was great also really let a message of how our kids are resilient often understand more than we get credit for this resonated with me because I was struggling with how or if I should tell my daughter about into the Zealand shooting, but I know as a Muslim parent I'd rather her hear about it for me. There's someone at school correct at what Darryl said about Judas not being just any kid was true. With a lot of kids today. They see an experience so much. So that idea of keeping them innocent really sows more like keeping them ignorant. Yup. Times you appearance do that for themselves is less about the keys. It becomes you send yourself and something about your child like you, you know, you literally do because you're actually stripping your child of making the choice of. Whatever they want to do with information that you give them and the thing is yes, you do need to depending on the age of your child, you might bring down in different ways, but Choudhry comprehend they see people said they see the people on TV that you know, they go to school. They have friends from different backgrounds like like this stuff impacts them. Whether you wanted to a not like, you say, you read that come from you, then the come from somebody else that ain't gonna tell them the truth nor care about the the mental health or the safety of your child after they tell them this because you can tell children things then just let a lot on a respond to it. And I mean, look like the facts that it has on those kids those Kuroda parents try to show them where everything like, they don't function wellness society. They have a lot of social like hangups and stuff they always doing inappropriate things. Like, this is really what happened with Justin. You know, a lot of people here to show every week. And they'd be like what's wrong with him. So you think that when there was saying that you know, that he wasn't saying that really could be anybody because a little bit of Shane a little bit of Rick a little bit everybody. I just know Billy not there was not Rick's lowered. So that's all. Come on. Man, y'all get it together fears. I do get where John was coming from shutting. Everybody down her baby was stolen by the pied piper. MP to pay the moment. I saw that scene where the kid had go. I knew she was gonna have to kill them. All damn. Yeah. Isn't it by the way, that's one of those times with that mystery delivered? They set that up. I have we do the seasons. Like what the fuck these exits me why why did her Darryl talking about it? Like why the fuck don't? She talked to anyone from other communities, and then it's like, oh, that's a really good reason. If you almost all the kids, we might stop let about career. So you don't think something else might have happened? Just you know that was enough. That's because I think after that what happens is I mean, it makes sense without even having to tell me the rest of the story, right? Alexandria shuts. Everything down we no longer fucking when nobody outside. These gates is about us and our kids putting kids in danger. Make people extremely paranoid and like over. Overprotective? So I think if you wanna say what they did when rational. Yes. 'cause I kid was it was involved in protecting our kids. So now, I can see that keep in mind over those years must shown kept that saying energy. But not everybody else did that even makes sense that people will to be like, maybe we was wrong to do that like hilltop was still out. There. Keenum is still out there. We should be community as communities, we you becoming together airman and terror and the -tarian leaving behind it like, it makes so much sense. I hope they don't even have they really don't have to go back and show that work to me for me to be like, nah that is a ripple from this. You know what I mean? So to me, it's perfectly without having to do like, you know, more explanation. So he says Narvik ninja ima- says. However, I don't see why she had to set out the kingdom and hilltop. That's the only thing. I don't feel like they explained. Very well. What would you getting kidnapped had to do with shutting out folks, you already know and trust? We'll see one of the things I was thinking with that. Is you can't control to other communities? So who the fuck are? They let near are. They policies the same hours. Right. I don't want my kid going there. If let people in we not let nobody in no new friends, so deficit, you know, not to mention traveling the road, you run into one of these groups, I just became afraid of their safety. And because their community is a self reliant community. It was easier for them as opposed to like when they need it shit. Alexander hilltop, y'all got greens. You know, like Limbaugh Cup of sugar me why hearing letting everybody right and you look Alexander now in this the fucking light. It's the Palisades. Okay. Like this boardwalk? That's probably why don't like it is down. They wouldn't know what to do with it. Right. Clean water. So then. Right. What's the three account on the? So then Megan needing he aim. He never leave right? But it made a nice jail. He ended jail on the good part of town. There may his how they treat the crew. But oh, and then the other thing you can skip an over Mont. She knew Jocelyn, right? So to her as like, you know, what if wanted people from hilltop or came through what they was just crazy like some happened. And they they went crazy, and we didn't know and to her it felt like a dub across like, I understand in real life. Y'all know people stupid about religion day. Stay religion throw the kids out there. Everything is in this case for the kids, if it logically institition gli doesn't that make sense? You have articles that contrary to it. People feel like I feel safer even Persson than losing. I feel safer as long as I feel safer. I'm going to do the actions they make me feel safe while also keep in mind, the other people that weren't betray about eight one day best closest friends. They did soften. It was much channel in charter security that held that shit up. Like, I don't care. So it wasn't even like the whole community agree where her like they didn't really and in the whispers game. And a lot of them was I actually you got a point. But even still they went to the fair, but she also is the one I could see south into because they didn't have to go get this here. Right. That's it. They didn't have to kill someone that they. Fran right. Didn't hear those keys went to a lot of trauma, and is one of those things when you go through that. And everybody has has had something even in your thirties and forties and fifties spring back from a child that lily scars you and sometimes you wonder why you respond to certain way because you're going back to that moment. And trust me somebody that has killed a lot of kids. It's hard to go. You never the same after that. Now I killed him on the basketball court. But it don't matter. It's all of saying to me. I can't wait. Oh, a she says, but I feel like there's more to pack their when it comes to everyone else. I guess black sister. Don't mean a damn thing film showing me saying what about friends I can't wait for the next episode? I'm wondering if Michelle talk with Lydia is foreshadowing her talking about out out her mom, taking her mom, but I would rather see carryovers alpha and versus Darrel and Michelle. Versus better beta Sino, what was Henry complained about having a scar on his legs. So book the fuck up. Henry was his character this whiny when he was a kid glove y'all mind true because Jace that about Judas he got a scar. On her hand, she was complaining to mom, and she said, isn't it going to turn to a scar? And Masan was like it probably won't. But she didn't say. No, scar Amami needed it. He he didn't say either. Nah. Wow. Oh, are just Jesus Qarase I want. Okay. I'll starting to question. Your love for him. You know, this guy named Michael last name Jackson used to love children. Look similar to here is will they were a little younger. I don't think it's right. You're where. You could take my. About fantasies day. Doughnut run Nebiat Tareq writes in. Hi, guys at hate nez Uriel Jones routine us walk in Wesley. She and deny had instant chemistry of people who chose. It'd be friends that are people who just ended up stuck together. I really enjoy learning more about whom showers for the Madonna Jocelyn went to Howard were they? Ak as a delta. Or you know, they definitely was autists 'cause AKA's have type they were. Vince right upon them. What did I do? Gonna play coy. Okay. I I'm just doing my show. Do it. Why people would take it personal? Of. So yeah, they were both probably vegans. That were crystal rock the other before it was cool. I think they might have been so hotels. They got them dreads. Listen breath of the now. They was listening to they was watching. It was joint. We love John's watching love. I could see also enjoy seeing tonight evil kids in this episode have happy healthy children as a huge indicator success of community because is stacked the kids they were celebrating Halloween. So there was time for leisure activities thing everybody dresses up his army over our. They also have supplies to us for a while as data just needs, which is huge Kasit an people have been homeless most of the series. Also, notice Alexandria has an inner outer entrance gate, so they spend a lot in a couple of years after the war with the savior's baby bought Michelle was a door. But stressed me out. People were mad that only Daryll Sean when the kids are soon there were multiple search parties Daryl Michelle found the children of the corn. Because there is a tracker and Darryl. Michelle have history searching together 'cause they talked about looking for the governor for months that makes sense per se. That's I've never had heard that perspective. But that makes a lot of sense. Maybe everybody was searching this episode. Was a nice throwback about the nature DNS friendship other than call. There were two. They would have to love Rick the most mega day re the day. Rick comes back and Michelle has him that fucking gun. Yes. Oh my God. I can't wait piece start. I'm Egede her giving him a child support view. I think he give McCain is carrying you give angel one MO season it is. And after by Andrew Lincoln gotta start thinking about coming back, man. I know he like it. He was tired of being living Australia, and there's so much better. I feel I should at least consider mascot down. No more. What does he doing himself nine away? I went back to live in Australia because he just tired of being away from his family ten months year for ten years. I don't really couldn't come on. Now. Erica. I mean, that's why he firm there. You know, what I'm saying to him? He's used to that shit. He's managers. I ain't saying what poisonous snakes. Spiders and dogs. I get it might you know, that is not the right. Hi. Could they might okay caused enough? The first one sounded more like British getting your UK. He not from the UK from Australia. Okay. Yeah. So no, not right exit. Just in just it. They thought it was from the UK. No, you sound like, Twenty-one savage. As far as while tonal Avezzano like. The last one he writes, well, you know, this is going to be about Iraq. And just in this episode was so epic. I loved it so much it actually made me follow lower Judah little maybe do this. Maybe Rix at the art because shame we'll have been Michelle side and never let people in again. Just like Henry, I loved it. When McDonald killed those kids they had to go. My only complaint was there. I love him resell much. Let's see how finally turn around on here. Say Henry wouldn't wanted to nothing here? We must I think he must not going up. You know, it's good to see mature them live. What what lies in this room? So you gotta hit. She got a history. Look, see, I read the Email. She loves hearing. And she's finally come around on him. And it's good to see that. She you finally soft it, and, you know, people don't need to have take the hatred with him all the way to the. Style growth. That's what we call. It. We count it. Call that growth. Just go. Whereas bit mm what I read. What I read. Was passed faster. Right. Listen to make a better walk past. What does that mean? Take. What does that mean you how past? Past winters that mean? By I'm her past. That's that's that's why. Yes. But love it. She's welcome all ya'll worker hurt to the fold. Why did I do that to your bosom? Why did I do that? Tell me to do. What are you looking forward to next week? Anything surprise me fair? See was going to happen at the fair. What would it be next week or the fair beautiful? Got two weeks to finish the preview for next week showed a lot of alpha and then them in the woods. So it seemed like they attack the fair or there or they got my shown in them out in the woods somehow, but you know to. Yeah, I could see them to up. They took her daughter. So I don't know. I can't wait for the fair. I guess I want to see a movie I wanna see what movie they're gonna watch. Going to be like is it? Zombie three green book, hopefully. You know what I'm saying? No this one looks like a good move. Thank you. Give me moonlighted. Okay. All right. That's fine. Give me the favorites of the it's going to be it's going to be a whole bunch. I want my daughter. They really got. Oh, we've got we're not. So we're supposed to bring with us. Listen, I would lose my hand. If you're wanting to test him happens to people by accident chick known I should on purpose. Sheri- at what point did they that? They work their way up to the hand. Like, she does she start on like just want finger, and they was like, nah, we gotta do the hand cover. What did it compromise started? But my husband Carl is an amazing graphic designer well a few months ago, we were talking about girls night, and how much I love y'all in this community we've created here. Let me talk for a second before he sat me, and he said Steph, I'm a graphic designer who we can make these right? Not know why I didn't ask him senior. And with all of that said, let's dive into my conversation with Caroline. So friends. I am so excited for what we have today. I'm sitting here with a dear friend of mine, a longtime friend of mine. Carolina standout Carolyn. Can you just introduce yourself? Tell us who you are what you do. And I'm really excited to hear your fun fact because I have no idea what you're gonna say. Yeah. Definitely. So I have known Stephanie for years back win both in the world race world. And so I am now married to my husband, Mark, we have two kids Elliot's he's almost three and kagins who's almost one and we live in Atlanta. And last years, I have gotten a seminary degree. It got my master's into. And having some writing projects that I'm launching or hope to launch sere so kind of a hands in a few different things. And she fact so I would say my fun fact is that a few years ago, not many people know this about me. But I over a course about three or four months. Learned guitar and wrote a song and performed that song in front of a group of creative. Very musically talented people. How did you tell me more about this? I need to hear more. Yeah. So we when I was involved with the world race. We would get to hang out with Melissa and Jonathan Hauser times. And they began to stern me this idea that we all have a song, and ice and facing fears and just going after the things that we think we can't do and one of my givens in life that I just was convinced wasn't possible. Is that I do not say I cannot seeing I will not say, and I am fairly comfortable speaking in front of people as comfortable as you can be. But when it comes to singing, no way and through it. I just hanging around with them. And then one day Melissa did this big event for us where we had about fifty people under this giant tent in Georgia, and everyone was supposed to sing out a note in front of the whole group. And so one by one everyone who went by. I was so nervous. My heart was beating out of my chest. I mean, I was litter. I thought I could faint. I was so nervous. I it my note came, and I miss terribly Ocoee notes. But I did it. I did it and they'd just made me realize that okay? This could actually be fear that maybe I could move past. And so a few months later, I signed up for creative school here in Atlanta, and the sinement wise you had to do a big project at the end and move out of your comfort zone and do something. You don't think you could do did think you could do? So I chose that. I was going to learn guitar and write a song and sing it for this group of people who a lot of them were trying to get record deals, and we're very musically talented. And so my day came I talked to my friend. Brayden he taught me a few chords that he says pretty much every song you need. These corden say Tommy this cords and the day came and saying it, and it was definitely not a home run. But I did it. Bache fear, and it was amazing for that reason. But no one would know that because I will likely never do to get before. Time thing. Caroline. I love knowing that about you. Because one I so I was in choirs and stuff all growing up, but singing by myself, really truly might be one of my biggest fears like fainting like, yes. That level panic like I feel like sound the sounds I want to make with my voice that I think I can look if I'm by myself, if I'm in a group cannot come out when it's just by myself like I feel like it'd be drugged to do choir. It was funny because on the world race. I went through a break up like right as it was beginning. And my heart was like, totally broken. Girlfriend Casey who knew how to play guitar, and I remember I was listening to in Romania. And I was listening to Taylor SWIFT's. Tim mcgraw? I was like case I wanna learn guitar. I mean, do something with my broken heart here. And so my dad is a big tar player, and he said stuff if you will actually play this Qatar, I will buy you a guitar we found one hundred fifty dollars Qatar in Romania. I carried it around the entire world. And I made my daughter promise, if you bought me this Qatar, I would play it every day, and I did and eating actually kinda learn how to play and I learned how to play Tim McGraw by Taylor swift and saying it woefully. And I mean, it just I I haven't really played much since I can't you know, I'd have to like really get back into it. But yes, it was a same thing. Totally one of those things. I never thought I would do. Yeah. Singing in front of some people on the on the world race in gushing never thought. I would be that person. And. Yeah, like when we get to face, our fears like that, and we get to even do something. Even if it's terrible. I just think we don't give ourselves opportunity to be really bad at something know, right and mazing thing when you just face that fear into side either. Really bad. I'm going to do it. Because of what that will do for me. And how old free me out then so yeah. Oh, gosh. My wheels are spinning now. I'm like, okay. What am I really bad at what do I wanna? Hey. Yes. Break because there's just a given to me. I just thought I don't say. And then all of a sudden one day. I was like what if I could what if I did what would that do, you know? Yes. Unlock in you. Gosh. That's so cool. Okay. If anyone is thinking about their thing if you guys decide to try something you have to like, send Carolina Nyum message. 'cause I really mean. Carolina message. I really wanna see what everyone tries. Yeah. Definitely kill an I am so thrilled and honored to have you on the show. I truly have looked up to you for years and years and years. I don't know if I don't know if you remember this, but we actually both worked at the same church in Boulder, Colorado. And I we weren't there at the same time that I remember when I was learning about the world race someone said, hey, you need to connect with Caroline Crawford. At the time you need to talk to her about the world race because she works there now. And I remember I think I was emailing. You like asking you eight million questions, which is always so fun when you're like information's on the website. But. But I just I think that was the first time I kind of came across when I remember just from the second, I met you. I felt like I could see like, you inspired me so much because you have so much like looking at you in interacting with you. It is so clear how well, you know, the Lord, and I just felt like like she radiates confidence and security and almost like a thority like she knows who got his. And she knows who she is. Because of who got is. And I didn't have that at all when I met you. And I remember thinking like as that was a lot of the journey that I got to go on without year. When when I was travelling was I want that I've want to know who got his, and I want to know who I am because of who got his and I want to radiate that kind of confidence. And I just remember seeing it you and thinking I want that to and so I love just you, and I've learned so much from you over the years, and I'm so excited for the girls to get here. Especially because I love what you've been doing lately. And really the the thing that I've wanted to have you on the show for a long time. The thing that was like, this is happening was I got to read a blog posts that you wrote maybe a couple months ago about a story about a house, Billy. I mean, I have a thousand questions for you. But I would love to start there. I love to hear the story of the house because it just it just like I learned so much through hearing what you learned. So tells the story of the house. Yes, the story of the house so three years ago, I was pregnant with our daughter Louise, and we at the time we're living in Atlanta in tiny two bedroom. Condo living the urban life. And when we got close to having her just really wanting to have more spaces a family. I just I wanted to nest I wanted to there's a space that could be hers. And so I began looking to see what other options there were to rent her on here. And so one morning did a quick search on Zillow. And this house popped up and instantly. When I saw it I saw in love with it. It was just everything that I was hoping to find here in Atlanta. It was a little bungalow that had more space. It had a cute little backyard cute porch that it could imagine sitting on drinking sitting entering coffee on just it was just the sweet little house that was down the street from our friends. So it was just going to offer us all kinds of things that we really wanted community safety more space. So I must have emailed them. I mean, I think the listing came up and five minutes later. I'm emailing them saying we want this. I don't even need to see it. How can I make this happen? And they wrote me back and said you have to wait until the open house. This is how we do it. Once everyone comes to open house will receive opera -cations and make a decision. So the day the open house comes and I went with my friend, Cindy to go check it out hoping someone would notice how gigantically pregnant pregnant I was and had pity, and please give this woman the house before she has the baby. So we're walk. Walking around. And I just I love it. It was it's nothing special house. But it was everything that I was looking for. And so it's spelt like that piece of the puzzle that I was saying to God this just would click into place, then we're good like the season is great. I'll feel like we have everything we need or want in order to move forward. And so we send in our location. Write a letter telling them how eager we are that we would love this house and heating coming. You're like no really it's coming now. Please. So we sent it all in waded prayed had other people pray and a few days later, I was at a friend's wedding. And I received the phone phone call from the property manager that just said very plainly. You did not get the house. We had too many applications, and so the people with the highest gross income got it. And that wasn't you guys. And that I felt so disappointed, and I remember crying that evening about it. And just trying to process over the next few days that this was something I really wanted. And we it wasn't going to be hours, and that can be really hard, especially when you have a long list of why this makes sense this fits all the boxes got this is everything that would work well for us in so to realize that all of that didn't change the fact that this house was an hours, and so I felt the weight -ment and. I know in the grand scheme of life. This is a rental house. This is not some huge thing. But it was real disappointment for me. And so I was trying to process a lot with my husband and trying to come to a good place with it because we're about to have a baby and me thinking about this house for the next few weeks of moving into becoming a mama's not going to be healthy. And so I knew I needed to figure out a way to move myself out of this place of disappointment. So I drove back to the house, and I am such a firm believer that our words have power and life and blessing to affect us. In fact, those around us, and so I I did really the only thing that I know to do that works for me when I face real disappointment. And so I drove back to the house and very Qripoli sodomy car in front of the house and just began to pray blessings and thankfulness forgot what God was doing. Because God was still doing something. He just wasn't doing it with. Us in this house. And so I sat there and just said thank you so much for this family. And for the memories that we made in this house just thinking if I can join you Lord and what you're doing. Then I'll probably think west about what I'm not doing what you're not doing for me and probably also shift my tension to the things that you are doing but this house wasn't our gift in the season. And so the way knew how to myself away from that was to just speak love and honor and blessing onto what he was doing that family. So I did and ended it with and God, I pray over this family all the families after this that this would be house of your goodness and presents Amen. And so that was a very critical moment for me of moving myself out of disappointment and into the season. I got how to sin and so from that time we stayed in our little two, bedroom, condo and it works out. Really? Well for us. We ended up moving to Florida for year and. A half for my husband's work. And so it it was exactly what we needed an actor living in Florida for year and a half we came to move back to Atlanta. And once again, we're faced with the fact that it's really difficult finding a rental property here in Atlanta. And how are we gonna do this from Florida? And so we I was again pregnant this time with our son cayden. Trying to go through all options. We were really clear that we're not going to spend any more on rent than what we're currently spending importa. So we've kept it there which eliminated a lot of options in Atlanta. And we just began looking at things, and ultimately came to a place of realizing it's very likely we're just gonna have to rent an apartment in apartment complex getter feet on the ground, and we'll figure out things from there. So that was the plan. I didn't love the plan. But I knew I could handle it. And we we've got there, and then a few days later after Mark had kind gave me that conversation of I really think we've seen apartment complex out. I was looking online, and I hadn't done that in a while and up pop this exact same house from two years prior. That was back on the rental market said at the exact price that we said we would not go over and we reached out to them to see if it were available in found out two things one that. They're having a really hard time with making scheduling at open house because of the family in it and trying to coordinate schedules and to the only rent to people who have seen the property. And so because we have seen the property, and we want the property they did not do any open house. Let us put her application, and and from Florida we to this frontal property here in Atlanta. Hi. Just loved that. I love that. I feel like I just sit with it. And just like soak it in because I loved it. I was talking to some friends about this last night that you know, we think so often are looking at the plan for our lives, and we're thinking God like going from a to b to see to this makes sense. This is what I want. This is what I planned this is what makes sense, but when we really opened things up to him we God takes us from like a two purple. And you're like you could count like that, you know, AB he he has he takes us from a to like cucumber than seven point five. And you like that's not those are numbers got those are those aren't even letters. But he just has ways of connecting things that we can't see from your vantage point. Yeah, I feel like the most special part of that story is not that you lost his house, and you're devastated. And then the story wouldn't be good. If you were just thumbed and devastated. For two years. Then finally got what you've been begging for the race. Beautiful part of the story is what you did in the disappointment. And so I know that like heard you say that disappointment is a really holy thing that really beautiful things that it's secret work. Can you kinda talk about that? Like, what did you learn about disappointment? And how we handle that like taco kind of talk us through that. Yeah. So this house was to me. The biggest thing that God taught me in. It was in the midst of being disappointed. I had the opportunity to in fact, speak the Lessing on my family when I didn't even know it when we would call that home, and that was an opportunity that has struck me so much about what is available in the places of disappointment. We have no clue what God is doing with their story. And with the story of the house. I have often said the story changed and it got better. It was so much better than I could have imagined. But the story changed I had my story of how we're going like you said. From A to B, and the story completely changed. But it was so much better. Because of what God did and really so much better because of what he taught me in that place disappointment. And I think when I say that disappointment is such sacred work. I'm saying that there are unique opportunities that are available to only when we are facing. What isn't when we are living in that ten place up this isn't happening or this hasn't happened yet. And so there is this opportunity to really meet God. And bleed beyond what it is that we're seeing before us, and when I think about the house, or when I think about place being in that place of disappointment realizing that it matters so much what we do there when we are in the middle of this hasn't happened. Again. Eight is such a huge opportunity to encounter God in that place to meet God who was more than what he is or isn't doing. But who he is? With us and one of the greatest revelations. We can consistently unpack in our lives. Forever. Is that God is with us that he is right there in the middle disappointment. And it's easy to begin to spin or swirl with what isn't happening and why it should. And how can I force or make it happen? But the other opportunity there is to stay in that place of I'm resting in. You you are here. And so I'm going to be here with you. And I'm going to encounter and growth you God. No matter what is or isn't happening around us. And so for me what ultimately I would say gets offered in the disappointment is this really costly offering praise back to God. So when I was in the car thanking God, there were tears streaming down my face. It's not like I was doing this from such an easy place. It was difficult. I was very disappointed. But I was also choosing. To bleed beyond that that you are doing something amazing for this family, and for my family that I can't see. And that is what disappointment offers us the ability to offer upset guide. Thankful words and grateful hearts that are above. What is or isn't before in the moments? So that's what makes place so hallway to me, right? Like, the faith isn't being able to see what's in front of us faith being able to see beyond what's in front of us and believe beyond and hope beyond what it is before. I so do you think that so in picturing all the different seasons in life where we can feel disappointed a river stuck in the waiting or where we're feeling like God isn't doing what we're hoping. He's going to do when when we're hoping he's going to do it. And I also know that in those seasons we we say God has a plan for us. But it almost wonder I believe that that's true. But I almost wonder if. I don't think that we can I think God's plan God's heart for us is bigger than anything. We can sort of mess up on our own. You know, I don't think that if we take one step to the left. We're going to totally miss the whole thing. But I do I do wonder if I want to hear what you think about this. I wonder if that we actually kinda can mess it up is by by sitting in that that anger disappointment in the waiting and not not opening our hand backup. Like, I don't know if we're to grab what he has for us. If we won't stop letting go fist is so tightly closed on the thing that we didn't get dude. I mean does that. I don't know if that makes any sense. Yeah. I think it is really looking at today and seeing that they're such an invitation for us that we're not powerless that God has a naval rate in the place that we are to engage with him and engage with what he's doing and and moving ourselves redirecting our tension. Into what he is doing. I think it's often really easy in places of disappointment to become fixated. And what isn't so I could be so fixated that I didn't get this house that I would completely forget the fact that I'm about to have a daughter got his bringing life fourth for my body got his building my family. He has given me a an amazing condo that works for us in the season. And to me, what is powerful that. We can do in the disappointment that is to redirect our tension to what he is doing and stay Festus. We can't end up place up. Okay. Got I am going to partner with partner with you in where you are. And where you are moving, and what you are doing and let this stuff be believing that you were crafting a story bigger and better than I can see in this moment. And so this actually I believe you will move and do what you want in it when you want? To make it a beautiful story at some point. I think that if we if we don't embrace today what God is doing then we won't be able to embrace what he's going to do next. We're so focused on what he's doing next or what he hasn't done were missing the thing. That's actually going to get us. They're using the lessons that he has to teach us so that we can be a good partner to the person we marry or he's missing if we're in a job, we don't like, and we're just so focused on the job that we're going to have next will the job that we don't like that were currently in is how we're going to get the experience that is going to get the next job. And if we don't show up in the job that we currently have we won't be we won't be able to accept the blessing that he has for us next. We won't be ready for it. Yeah. I was thinking about Luke sixteen ten and we know this verse lot. But I feel like it. Really fits here. But it says whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted very much and whoever's dishonest with very little we'll also be dishonest with much, and it's like whatever God is given us today. That's what he's entrusted us with in. We get to we get to like, here's this is kind of a random example. You know, we're talking about houses, but I could watch endless hours of HDTV. It's totally where my brain just shuts it, but it's funny. How people will say, you know, we can't entertain in our house. Our house is really small. We need a bigger house. We can entertain. But the thing is if you don't enter tain in your small house, if you don't have friends over feed people in your small house, you're not gonna do it in a big house. It's problem isn't the house. The problem is invite is getting over the hump of inviting people into your home. And I think that that's the same with every part of our lives if we're not embracing doing the best we can with what God's given us today. We're not gonna be able to do it tomorrow -bility shows up in the doing, you know. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. And I'm I'm so with you in that, I think the opportunity always is to be really faithful to what's before us. And that paves the way to what comes next and Mark. And I really lived this the last year where we feel like multiple times we've experienced real breakthroughs from God that have come out of small choices to say place of honoring people in our lives. Even if they aren't acting the way we want are treating us the way that we'd like them to and being really grateful. That is something that we are consistently going back to in our family is the words, but we are saying full, but we are thankful. So even though it small today, even though it's not everything is today. We don't want to ever become entitled people so thankfulness is such a great way to just keep us anchored to what everything that's before. Straight. Now has been gifted everything before us had is are things that we get to receive with grateful hearts, and if we do more life and more. Blessing will come from it. And it may not be in the way we want, and we may not have control over how or when it looks, but thankful nece is definitely the soil that God continues to move and grow things from. That's so good. Caroline. You just came out with any evoke called live here love now in is it look. And one of the stories that used hell in it is so perfect for what we're talking about. Right now, you talk about how when you moved to Georgia. You're living with your friend. Andy, also, amazing and how pretty quickly when you guys were sort of starting this life together, you're super excited about living together in about this new season, Andy met freidan. Yes. And things changed. Can you talk about that? Because the way that you handle that speak. So clearly exactly what we're talking about right now. And I know it's something that every single woman listening is. Yes, relate to. Yeah. Definitely. So and deny came off the mission field from the world raise, and we were pretty much instant best friends from the time that we met and so while we're traveling the world, obviously, we just talked endless hours about who. Are husbands would be. They would be like, and what it would all look like and just dreaming it up. And so. When we moved to Georgia pretty quickly probably a few months in she met her husband. Brayden and braided Andy's connection was instant. It was one of those things where they are the opinion of the words God does not work quickly. But he always moves suddenly, and it was such a suddenly that she had waited so long in this man comes in and overnight. It is they're talking marriage and wedding. And where they're going to live and all of it. And it was amazing. But it was also very much a loss and a transition for me because our relationship than changed overnight. The givens that I had before of I don't know what I'm going to do this weekend. But I'll hang out with Andy then became awkward. Oh over not. You are doing other things. So just coming to that place. We had to kind of shift ourselves figure out with this new rhythm would be for us. And and that was messy at times. It was tricky. But in it, all I made a to a couple of conscious choices that made all the difference. One was that I wanted and to be my best friend ten years from now ten years from that which she is. And that helped put in perspective, some of my feelings in the moment that what was happening in that season was messy, and we were all trying to figure it out. And she never done that before I'd never walked a friend carrot not degree before. And so there's a level of grace that we could offer each other because we wanted to make sure relationship lasted the other choice, though was kind of a long ones of what we're talking about. But choosing to celebrate what God was doing. It was really easy for me. In would have. Bench for me to put myself in the middle of the story and see the whole thing that was playing out based on me in the middle in what was happening or not happening, and how it affected me. So what the way that? I was hurt the way that I was forgotten whatever the thing would be it'd be really easy to do that. And that put me in the center and begin to see it from that is kind of victim to this whole scenario one Jesse out of what God is doing because he was clearly doing something really beautiful and to will lead me right to a place of bitterness, and resentful nece, I would just easily go then to place feeling so hurt. And so in it, I felt quickly that God offer me a different option and made very clear to me that this is what I'm doing. I am building family and legacy and something beautiful through Andy and breed love story. And so you can join in and celebrate in with what I'm doing. And if you do then you're going to reap the life and blessing and harvest of that with them or. I could stay in that place of of missing it. And I didn't wanna miss it. Because this was what I was doing. And so I did I just really made as many choices as I could to stay in a place of celebrating and thanking God for what he was doing. And in it. I think made learned a couple of things one being that we can look at people as obstacles on our journey or as reminders of what we don't have. Or we can look at them as these living testimonies that they are declaring to us. What is possible who got at work in our lives? And so I tried as best as I could not story to look at Andy and say had God didn't move quickly. But he moves so suddenly in your life, and if he moved so suddenly in your life, maybe he's moving so suddenly in my life to and maybe if God heard your prayer answered it in this way, brought you this amazing, man. Navy? God will bring me amazing man to and so then she became this this testimony to NIA what is possible through God at work. I that is game changing like that. It's game teaching for all of us in so different ways. You know, we're all in this place for different reasons for a lot of S's watching our friends get into relationships and get married in. We're wondering why isn't happening for me? And then the immediate next thing is okay, all my friends are getting pregnant and either I'm not there yet, and that brings a whole bunch of turmoil or stress or I'm trying in it's not working in that brings a whole bunch with it, you know, but the thing about the whole thing is that someone else getting into a relationship doesn't mean you're not going to write didn't get in a relationship. Instead of you are stories all next to each other. They're not take from from another one, a friend getting pregnant doesn't mean has a friend getting pregnant has absolutely no bear. Under for Tilleke at all and friend getting to a relationship that wasn't going to be your husband, anyway, doesn't that doesn't have any bearing on whether you are going to or not going to and that's true all across the board. And I think the decision that you made is so important. And I think something that I'm asked about all the time is how to maintain friendships when you're in different seasons. In a lot of the women in my community are feeling really left behind in really abandoned by their friends as they get into relationships and get married, and I totally hear that. And I felt that I think sometimes, you know, the situation is obviously different every time. But I think sometimes the women getting married to a really bad job. And they really do not. They really don't do a good job of maintaining their friendships or seeking out their friendships in the midst of relationship in. It's really easy. I feel like a lot of us have been there. When you're falling in love. It's really easy to just I don't know. Like, I feel like I didn't even flu for like six months Carlin. I started. Dating. I don't know what I was doing. I just wasn't sleeping. So in some ways, you're so wrapped up in it that things fall by the wayside. But at the same time, it is also really important that we if we're the ones moving into the next season. We really do a good job of of pursuing our friendships. And so sometimes that doesn't happen that requires conversations in it requires like if we're gonna get through that it requires feedback. Like, hey, this is yeah. I did you have to give Andy. I'm sure you did. Yes. Definitely definitely. And we were both. It was all it was tricky. Because of course on one hand she kisses what she's been waiting for for decades. And it's coming to pass. And so she guests be consumed by this God is doing this amazing thing and also figuring out how to maintain space in her life for her single best friend who was there. And and we did we. We talked about it. And she was so gracious to me in the moments that I responded more out of motions than out of truth. And I was gracious to her in the moments that she was figuring it out in funding through it herself. And believing though that I think this is a key in relationships. I believed the posture of her heart was for me, and that she wanted me to part about story. So that even though a moments didn't play out as perfectly as I wanted. I knew that her heart was one of she wanted me there with her, and my heart was one of I wanna be there. And sometimes I'm going to do that. Really? Well, and sometimes I'm probably not. But that's where grace is really something that we need, and and becomes amazing because to trust the posture of each other's hearts to trust that our hearts are leaned in wanting each other to be part of the story gave us agrees to say. Hey, it's okay. It's okay. It didn't work out best last night for dinner will try again. Again, next time we all go out or our next next weekend. Let's make sure that there's time. And so then we did we learned a new rhythm in our lives. And I think that's something that happens throughout all of friendships because now engineer both moms, and so there's a whole new rhythm of what state. What does it look like to stay connected or find space in time for each other in the middle of all the other demands in being moms? So I think the grease thing on both sides is so important. I think that, you know, win our friends are, you know, my my best friend Cousy just had her second baby. Which is as I mean, as you know, I don't know this yet. But a crazy transition. Yeah. And we haven't gotten to talk quite as much as we normally do because she's barely sleeping and figuring out. All the things that go with having two kids under well bear almost under two almost two hundred two. And I think that like I've I've had to make the decision of stuff like this is a season. This is temporary. How can yet? How can I support her? How can I love her because same thing I want to be her best friend in ten years? If I choose to respond in like frustration or why haven't you called me more or in a we had a phone that was supposed to happen yesterday in you never called or something which is really easy for us to go there. That's I'm dropping my half of it. I'm dropping the part that's mind to carry at my job is grace and my job is being for her. And my job is showing for her extra because she can't she's not really in a place where she can show up from me as much as she normally does right now think that I love that you did that with Andy. And I think that that's our friends win were the ones removing into the next season. We really need to remember our friends make space as best as we can. And we need to give them grace when they're hurting and win and remember that while they're so happy for us at our wedding. Also, it might be rubbing against the some sadness in their life. But also. Also as the friend when we're the one who's not quite there yet in whatever the season is our job to be credible for them to show up for them to to make the drive to make the time to to call try calling again and to send food and to to just be there for them. And I love to celebrate them and not to let bitterness take hold because that's when friendships end, and it doesn't have to be that way. Yeah. Definitely. Hey, I hope you're loving this conversation with Carolina's much as I am isn't great. I wanted to pop in for one quick second to our sponsor for this week. Now, I love girls nights answers. You're doing thank you so much for spotting girls night. Okay. You guys ready? The top back into my conversation with Carolina. So Caroline, you talk about so many things in this book that I just loved one of the things that you talk about is how to own our thoughts. And this is something that, you know, you talked about our words powerful, which actually I would love for you to touch on that too. Because I know that our thoughts are words unsaid. And I would love to hear I've learned so much about this from you just how we own our thoughts, and how are thought life in how we speak about ourselves about our life impacts being able to love our lives where we are right now. Yeah. Definitely. So this is something I am really passionate about in my own life and have talked about in the book and elsewhere is just there's such a difference between thinking and speaking from a place of experience and thinking speaking from a place of truth. And so if you take the example of Andy can be really easy to look at what's happening around and to begin to formulate thoughts, and ideas and truth from that place. So it'd be really easy to look at what's around and feel that I'm not being noticed by men or by God, you know, like all the things I was single and wanting to be married. Anne, my best friends getting married. So there were all kinds of things that I could feel unnoticed unwanted late behind and all those things. Things can then for me to think certain thoughts. So because I'm feeling that stuff. Then I'm thinking, we'll things are never gonna change or it's always going to be like this or no guys ever gonna want me. And then doc because the thoughts that I am ruminating on and that that affects everything that comes from us. Then what comes from us just the sense of were powerless and everything's happening to us. We can't do anything about it. But there's such a different way in it. And the way is starting from a place in what is God's truth, and based on what God's truth is than having the thoughts that we're actually holding space for in our minds to be those socks that are the thoughts got has for us. And so if you take again, that example is Andy with the truth that God is good changes. Everything of how I see the situation with God is good names that what I'm looking at before me is the display of God's goodness in my life. And that an. Andy moving out of my life. And there being no space in it for someone else to fill is also displayed. God's goodness. And so it's a whole different lens. Then all of a sudden what we are dealing with and experiencing in our lives. We are processing through the truth of who got it. So elevating to see things that are happening around us and think from that place of what's actually true. God is good. God is moving God has a plan. And even if I don't see it right now that doesn't determine that doesn't dictate thoughts. I think right. So there's always two choices. We can we can approach life. And how what we're thinking about it and how we respond to be completely dictated by our experience. So everything's just feeling what we think and how your sponde- or it can be all determined by God NS in God for us and God through us, and that been changes everything of the way that we're looking at situ. Nations the disappointment becomes opportunity. The loss becomes a space for something new that unmet expectation becomes expectancy for what God could do even still. So it's a completely different way. Will we are living? Well, what life is versus spinning swirling all around because of what is it happening out of our control. I love that so much that is so I'm so glad that you said that something that you you kind of mentioned this when you were talking about being at the house in speaking blessing, and can you talk about lake speaking words over our selves in. I know you have like so many thoughts on this. This is like one of my favorite things that I've learned from you this made a huge difference for because I think that there is a there. So we know that in in someone thirty nine it says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, but how often does that not feel true? Like, we know. This is true this Huron hand in the other hand, we feel like I've. Put on five pounds, and my hair looks bad today, and I have nothing to wear and that girl looks flawless and all these things we're holding those one in each hand yet. And I think that it's the the challenge is knowing God's truth, but believing it like Woody it on as if it was your outfit in the morning and the way that I feel like us to do. This was through our words. They're speaking words of ourselves through declaring things. I do believe that at one point. You've made me stand on a chair and things about myself, which actually maybe one of my favorite memories in life. So can you like talk to us about speaking truth over our selves because and why we mate why we should maybe stand on chairs when we do it totally. So right, there are two choices in life to live from place of experience with from place of truth. I still like you're saying it's moving to place up Kate. I believe they sings about God. But then how do I actively participate with truth almost like how do I lean myself into the truth that God is good while greatly to do. This is to use your voice there is power in the tongue of life and death. So we always have the choice when we speak forth words that they will carry life into us. Our relationships the people around us or they will carry death into the people relationships environments around us. And so in learning this for myself, eight has been probably. One of the most powerful practical tools for me speaking fourth words of life, especially when I don't feel it. Or when the environment around me is telling me, something completely different courage to me is to believe beyond what we're seeing in an speak for those words, boldly. And so to see that pay so today, I am feeling all these things. Right. Like, you said I feel like I'm not measuring up. I feel like I'm failing at everything I'm not handling all my priorities. Well, and probably failing a lot of people. That's what I feel. You look at yourself in the near even for just two minutes. And you begin to tell yourself who you are it shifts everything so you can get yourself in the mirror and saying I am full of God's spirit in me. I am powered and whipped for whatever. The for me today. I have the opportunity to live. Well, this story. And this story is my story. I have courage and boldness and confidence. Because of who he says, I am I have wisdom to know. What to do the decisions before me? And as you say those things which is just agreeing with what God is seeing over us. That's all it's doing. You're just agreeing with the words that God speaking over us, and in that polling ourselves kind of higher to meet him where he is in it upgrading to where God is it changes, everything and suggest the this is a pillar of our family. It's not just something that. This is a pillar all the time. We have our daughter doing this. So I get her in the car driving to preschool, and she says she's too. She says, mommy, I wanna do my declarations Stewart declarations. And so my two year old is leaning reading me in I am kind. I I repeat it back to her. She goes, I'm strong, high ab-, strong, my little Allie sing, I am full of life. God has planned for my day. And to realize she's releasing words of power into that fear because when we are grieving what God saying, and then releasing that out that changing us has changing whole environment around us. So this is such a practical powerful tool that pushing moves us beyond feelings moves us beyond what we're seeing before us and really gets us agreeing with what got essay and sinking over us. I love that so much. I think. I truly do. Remember the first time. I heard you talk about declarations any really did make stand on chairs and yell these trees over ourselves in like, there's something. So silly about that in so counter intuitive. Like, we don't stay on chairs like the normal. Normally that's hall. We don't don't shout. You know, if there was something so liberating about these things of ourselves. And I remember the first time I did it saying these saying these truths in feeling like gosh don't feel that way. The thing is exactly what you're saying. We can either. Then to how we feel or we can bend to what God said, it says is true and truly practicing saying these things over myself in saying to myself in the mirror and saying every day, that's how it starts to feel true. And regardless of how we feel, but that's how it starts to feel true is win. Instead of saying every day. I'm the worst. I'm I can't do this. I am you know, whatever. That's like instead of repeating those things which things feel more true than more often. We say them we're actually saying the opposite. And pulling ourselves in that direction. Yeah. Now our words are care such creative power to them. And so we are creating what's before us by what we're speaking. And just like you said if we're speaking words that I can't I won't I'll never that is the world that will be around us. That's the way we'll see it in how approach it, and how will engage with that. But he said if we are speaking for words that are saying what God is doing and what we're going to do with him. And God is good. And he has a plan. All the things of who he says, we are in what he says that he's doing it. It changes the world that we're living, and you know, the difference in people who are doing this art people who aren't doing this. Or speaking those words kind of against themselves, and the people are on them are just kinda Downer to be around. They. They feel heavy and kind of release this. Everything's wrong. Nothing's ever. Right. Feeling that that the people who lived as amd believe this and are moving themselves each day to to join God again in that are to me the most inspiring. They're so inspiring to out will. And if you think about it like think of how think of how far reaching this is if you're sit if you are an HR manager person. I don't know what you're what is that called? If you were in HR, you're sitting down you're interviewing someone for job. You can feel when someone walks into the room, and they are everything is wrong. I'm complaining about everything. You're not gonna hire that person the person who walks in with a smile on their face in a positive attitude and who believes in themselves in the in the work. They're doing in the world and define it. You are good. I mean, the person who person radiates life. Enjoy not person is going to get the job. That I was going to get the date that person's going to be asked out again that is all of those things when you get to bring that to the table. It is such a joy to be around new C actually reflecting into every area of your life. And it's not even you know, I think that we feel like I don't know conceited or something saying these things about ourselves like we are we've been taught that we're supposed to have a low opinion of ourselves. But it's not even about our opinion of ourselves at all it is this is what God says. And if we disagree with him like good luck because he's a little stronger than a little bigger than us and a little smarter than us. It's just agreeing with the God who made us it doesn't even matter. It's not even about our thoughts about ourselves. Right, right. This is what he's saying. And thinking over a so we're just joining in were sitting next to an listening into what he's saying. And then joining with him. Speaking those words out into ourselves, our or our friends, and some of the most powerful words, you can speak to our to look at is to look at your friend in the middle of that place where. They're struggling with disappointment. And and releasing that word of just, hey, this is what got saying it's not about this. There's something more he's doing here, and that can be such an encouraging thing when you find yourself in that place of disappointment having other people join in say, let me remind you of what God is saying. So we need to get on a chair doesn't win you to get on a chair. And I feel like doing this for our friends is also really beautiful being when we can look at someone else and say, this is what I see this is who got isn't you this is like the gifts that I see he's giving you I think we have this feeling again that having someone else having something means, we don't get that thing. It's just not true we live. God's economy is Connie of abundance. And so there is enough for you enough for me. So we get to celebrate each other in college other up in say like there's something beautiful about you. And I'm gonna celebrate you big time. And when we we get to partner with other people seeing the truth about God in the truth about God in them. Last night. I had this really like super clear picture of what this could look like we always say we our own worst critics which is just crazy because when we think about our relationship with ourselves. I don't I don't know how often we actually think about the relationship we have with us. We're stuck with us. We every single thing we do in a day for our entire lives. We will be there every friend gathering. We are at the front gathering. We go to every are most consistent co-worker. We are. We've soon snuggle with ourselves every single night. Like, we're always there. And when when people say that it's normal for us to MIR own worst critic that means that we are working every single day with our own worst critic in that is terrible. We live. I was in event last night. And I was speaking. And if someone had come up to me beforehand told me some of the things that my mind, my own mind tells me sometimes like you're gonna blow this this isn't gonna go. Well, you don't have anything. Good to say, I would have absolutely. Blown it. Instead Carl got to be at this event. He doesn't normally get to to be there. But he got to be at this event. And before I got on stage. He gave me a hug, and he said what his mom says to him into all of us all the time. It's actually from Saturday Night Live, which is really hungry that he gave me a hug and in my ear. He whispered, you're smart, and you're strong. Gosh, darn it people like you. And and it just I love that. Because that's what I got to go onstage with. That's what I got to bring with me to be that free hover reminding other who we are in who God says, we are who got his we also get to do that for ourselves when we do that first selves living life every single moment of your life with someone who loves you in cares for you in his kind to you make all the difference. Yeah. Declarations through truth oversaw. This is how we is. Is that? That's the difference maker is. Yeah. Yeah. It really is that Caroline. If women listening is sitting. In a place of disappointment right now or waiting for something that hasn't come yet. Or if a women's looking around thinking, you know, my life is just not looking like what I planned. This is not what I was hoping for can you dislike speak some life in her. And give her some encouragement, definitely. So I would say to you that a couple of things one reminding her of who she is that that the words at God says of you of your value and your worth and your contribution. And you're calling your destiny are true. And that what we are seeing today. What you're seeing today in your season is such a small snippet of the grand story. He's writing in our lives, and that can be two things that can be comforting to know that it won't always be this way disappointment isn't the destination. It is something that is a season on our lives, and it could be many seasons of our lives. But God is Jing more than. Just disappointment in our journeys. And so there's a comfort in that. And then two there's a charge in that. This is the season that you and I get to live. Well, what our story is right now. And it's like a close pastor says that I was mentioning a little bit before but gone too, many seasons of life and said things like well, this isn't fair. This didn't happen wanting to say all the things that isn't an hey, always response to actually with the words, but we are thankful, but we are thankful. So there's a unique opportunity in this season to come into place of saying even with all that isn't thankful, but God is good. But he's still moving somehow. And there is something unique that you are invited into if God right now, and it can be really easy to look ahead to the next season. If I could just get there, then I will live if I could just lose that weight if I can just married. That man if I can just have that child. And if we're always looking ahead, and we're missing everything. But right now is the get today is the get and what we do today is offering its the offering back to God to say, it may feel really costly may carry a lot of tears, but even still there things that I can offer back to God in the middle of what is before me the other thing, I would say too is that oftentimes we all are walking through seasons unmet expectations where things just aren't going the way that we planned we wanted imagine this season to look this way, and it doesn't. But in that what I think is always available to us is that though God may not be meeting our expectations. He's still doing something. And so what is available to us expectancy? We can still remain so expected that God is moving, someway, somehow in the middle of everything that's before us. So I think the big thing I would say to someone in that season which. I resonate with. And so many of us do because we're all living in some way. We're all living in the tension of what isn't we're all waiting hoping dreaming for when something might change is that today is the opportunity to live. Well, our story, and that with that that we are fully equipped and fully empowered to do that well to do that with presence and purpose and power and to me, that's really inspiring to look at it. And be like, you may not be everything I want today. But you're my reality. You're my gift. And so I am going to live to the fullest. As I can't if anything I'm going to be as bold as I can't impressing into what God is doing even in the middle of really serious. Ross honest disappointments, it's so good Carolina. I have one last question for you. We've never done this on the five gas before. Try it. Will you lead us in declarations? Yes, it'd be warning that we were going to do this. But maybe you if you lead us all him back in everyone can say back with me, if you're in your car, or wherever if you're in public, you can just say your head or say leader, but just as we're talking about how to speak life of ourselves. I would love to give just an example of what about looks like and y'all you can even take this. And try seeing these things over yourself everyday for a month. And I. Everything will change every change this. I I'm not gonna stay on chair. Although I kind of but the cancer had on your chair. But yeah, I would I would love lead us in some, incidentally. Yeah. So I declare that today is my gifts. And today's good today is my guest today is good God, you're with me in this guide. You're with me in this your spirit is in me and your power flows. Through me your spirit is in me in your power flows. Through me. My voice carries words at her life to affect me. And the people around me, my voice curse words of life to affect me in the people around me might I see by faith beyond. What's before me? My eyes see by faith beyond what his before me. My mind agrees with the thoughts that you have for me. God my mind agrees with the thoughts. You have for me God. So I declared. I will live today. Well, so I declared that I will live today. Well, fully in who you say, I am fully in who you say, I am with courage and confidence and boldness with courage and confidence and boldness and believing that no matter what's before me. It's part of my story in it has purpose believing that no matter what's before me. It's part of my story in has purpose. So I'm grateful. So I'm grateful, and I'm thankful thankful, and I am going to encounter you today. God I am going to encounter you today. God, amen. That so much. Write that down read read that over yourself. Look yourself in the mirror everyday from month and say those things in things things will change. Yeah. Yeah. Quip you well to live the story. Yes of gosh. I love that. Caroline. Thank you so much for being here. I adore you in. I I am so grateful for for you in for your wisdom in for the openness that you live your life in the way that you've invited God into your life. And the fact that you have turned around and share that with those of us who are behind you. Because it reminds us of what's possible, and it invites us to step into the same. Spittin' Chiclets Episode 125: Featuring Brent Sopel + Teddy Purcell
Blue everybody. Welcome to episode one hundred twenty five of skin shifts, presented by new the damn vodka. It's going to go round table and say a little of the fellas this evens out in the desert, boy, biz nasty, Paul what's up, brother. Hello everybody who still might under next week, man. I wouldn't he's on his CB on his truck radio. But he's commuting back to Boston. Ryan, Whitney, what's up? Brother was your exact location right now. Or what I'm back now, it's an exit to be Webster have on like ninety five north. There's a trucker next me by a Hooker and the car to Philby animals, I'm here. But I'm not I'm giving about. Won't give it to to all on guys. Much can snort internal clock and clown truck is the light, no doubt. And I finally producer down in the United city might gern Ellie. What's up, brother? What's up, boys? I'm very excited. We have a ton of new merge drop in this week, including some awesome, ugly sweater. So I'm very excited for those boys. What did you rat your room? Oh, yeah. So so boys. He's gone. I think we got these like sonar things that you plug into all the outlets, and I haven't seen them. So I think he's gone, and I think I won the war. Yeah. He's gone up the seventeen million rats and mice that live on that God forsaken island with you. That's. That's. I love how you're saying. Sonar thing like fame your wanted even get a most Trump. No, we got old school most traps, but we have these like sonar things. I don't know. My roommate God, it's got it for us. And I don't always plug him and all the things and these little fuckers on round anymore. So I think they work, vox, insured. The Mississippi is all right boys, Monday, we had the this year's Hockey Hall of fame induction ceremonies, pretty good classes. And right now, I think the last couple of years we've gotten classes of guys we grew up watching. Well, maybe not so much Grenell the youngster that group, but all these guys we had the pleasure. Enjoy a watch. And and you know, as they played we knew we watching hall of fame career is let's go through the roll call here. The guys in the one lady who made the hall of fame. I me find my notes right here. Martin Saint Louis spent checkouts alumni, my Tim, bro door for the best. What do you call it by everything on the line golden history of the game? William re the first black to play in the jelly. In addition to. He started the diversity program with any jello branch outs at children all over the continent. Alexander Yakult, chef of the fabled Soviet teams of the seventies. Gina heff. It was a Canadian women's player, and Gary Bettman was inducted into the hall of fame as well. So guys, did you have a chance to catch you need to speeches or any of the ceremonies. The other night biz. I did not. But a few guys that once again, I grew up watching that's kind of nice because before before the last couple of classes, I felt like out of touch, and I'm not much of a historian. I didn't watch a ton of hockey growing up. I was too busy planet making Joan on a big deal. But. One thing. I would say is I put mardi broder in the body defying science category of that generation where like you you. You would probably see him walk in the street and be like, oh, that's just your average Joe. But no, that's actually the greatest goaltender that ever lived. Would you agree with? Yeah. I mean, he he has all the record here. One hundred two hundred twenty five shutouts right around. I don't by the number. Exactly. Right. It's win the Leverett looks like will never be touched each just twenty two years of that guy. Twenty two years of him just making big sage he also was I mean, I don't know if he was the first he was definitely the best to play in the puck. He was pretty much third demand just gate out there. Roly-poly Bing bang tape to tape like better than most men, and then he'd make each six saves, and he was a kind of a hybrid. It wasn't you know Batard by just had his own style. I guess Hasek the to so I mean that was the night the night was awesome. I mean, I I love the Martin Saint Louis speech. We posted a little bit of it on spitting chocolate. I think of you know, how he's saying don't ever give up. I mean, usually when you're a kid making the NHL they go through adversity whether they're twelve years old or ten years on all he can find each. What do you wanna be una being the job picks up? I mean, that's not really adversity. But people telling you, you can't do it. That's what everyone's used to. He had to deal with that not only growing up. But when he was in the NHL Calgary in Calgary signed him out of college. But then they waived them, I mean, they need a team quit on me ends up being in the hall of fame. You shit me EJ Radic this week? He mentioned that he was scouting with Dallas. When he played at you Rianne with Eric tired. They were freak shows absolute or except in Vermont dumbing, people probably crushing Ben and Jerry's after. And and and even then you're gonna go see this play. You gotta go see him play. Like, oh who drafted nobody will any choice too little, but he's incredible and college. So his speech is awesome. It was a cool night Willie ori-. Well, deserved what? The fuck took him so long big William. I mean, God that guy's been. Blackboard overplay the Jackie Robinson hockey you. Gotta get him in tune it. So I'm glad that he's finally there. I met him last year. Just a hell of a man. No, I want a good point, sir. I'm going to go back to Marlborough probably known best for his rebound control, his timely OEM's. He's an absolute gamer. I actually heard that he used to play a game. We all play rebound used to play one where it was a he had a control the rebounds where he could end up getting in the mesh above the glass where he would get score points. And that's how he worked on his rebound control just to like kill plays. And you know, help out defense. Of course, he was unbelievable plan. The puck too. Moving the on the Saint Louis. I mean, he's he kind of he was kind of one of those guys that paved the way for where the NHL headed as far as those little guys who. The oh flurry was probably the guy before him. That was you know, this a little guy out there. But it fucking sucked man and the games gotten better ever since those guys paves the way for for scouts and teams giving smaller guys with speed who were skillful more of an opportunity. I bet you older people who watch these small guys playing growing up could think of a handful of guys who probably got I win say black ball, but just weren't even consider to make the NHL because of their size like back. Then that's just the way the mentality was unity big over six foot. You need to be Costa two hundred pounds. And that's why you were going in the first round. And you know, of course, you mentioned the adversity. He had to go through in order to make it ends up being a Stanley Cup champion league MVP I want. What does he have to gold medals are actually but one team, and that was I think rift between him and is remained. And that's how it got going. Oh, he did make any matoco because of an injury. An injury. He won the World Cup of foxy with the caveat. And and rod Richard after they won the Stanley Cup two thousand four they won the MVP Ted Lindsay in anyone on the World Cup. So incredible. And what you're saying about smaller players. It's so true. Because I can remember growing up and wanting to be in the NHL so bad all I thought about and I remember constantly being like, well, at least I have the height like matter. What I have the height. Some guys have no chance, you know, the guys smaller just like in my mind that that point oh, no chance. So at least I am I'm somewhat there with having the height and that dick for a lot of guys. I played some incredible players who really didn't get a fair enough shape because of their size and now it's different. So you do think of other kids that are never thinking Kim playing the NHL not that don't the kids are out there doing it. I hope they are. But Martin saintly proved that he certainly didn't. That's a great point with an RA. I wanna I wanna talk to you about this wit mentioned, it it took them a long time to put Willie orien- if anything if I can spend it into a positive now that social media has gotten so big. I'm almost kind of happy. They did wait this long because so many people are able to see his an induction and how important it is to to bring in the multicultural multi-culturalism and diversity into the game. And now he's able to to speak on it. And of course, his his induction speech touched a lot on that. So, you know. Yeah. Did it take them too long to sure, but I'm glad that he was able to do it on this big of a stage and congratulations to him. And christ. We talked about the the adversity that Saint Louis face. Could you imagine the fucking adversity that guy faced? Yeah. You're right biz. If it did happen twenty five years ago, then you know, he might have just kind of lost a little bit of the dust bin a history today. People I go willy he was the first black. I really no connection to them. Because we haven't seen haven't heard them. But he's been such a presence for the last couple of decades since he took the job with the NHL, the first diversity officer, you know, in spreading the gospel of hockey too in a city in black and Latino kids who otherwise on exposed to the game. You know, kids will four and stuff. I he they say basically, I mean from what I read he's getting inducted as much for that. As is for you know, being the first black player. It's kind of a twofold thing because he is going in as a builder if Ahmad mistake he went in as builder not as a player because he played forty five games, which is a relevant. I mean, he was a, you know, he broke the barrier. And and and I think it was almost twenty years before the was the second black player in the league was a lull after John was has named escapes. You the fella that plays for the capitals in the early seventies. So yeah, I it was great to finally get him in. Yeah. Like, I think. That's a good point as the Bill, but maybe made made us appreciate him a little more than if we would just reading about him from twenty years ago. Another quick note on mighty Saint Louis. I texted you guys the story last night in the athlete, and I do constantly reference that site because the hockey journalism there is fucking incredible. There's so many good writers about laid off the athletes scoop them up and they're doing like I said before it newspapers used to do this a tremendous article on on Mahdi's game six overtime game winner in this in the two thousand four Stanley Cup. They talked to everybody they break down the play should take a read of it. If you haven't obviously, I'll listens as well. And just going back to Brodeur, man. I mean, he had a nine one two save percentage in a two to four goals against one hundred twenty four shutouts. And you think about like a lot of the area. He did that. And it was before the, you know, you know, buzzy stop back in ninety one ninety two man. There was still some you know, bad goal. Ten back. Then there was still some outrageous numbers being put up in. The fact he was able to have such good numbers considering he had, you know. A lot of the high-scoring heyday still there tribute to him. Also, I just wanna mention died Jayna Hefford. She did win four straight gold medals. I don't want to give the woman short shrift here for straight gold medals on top of a nice post-olympic Correa in acne. Chef was also in the seventy two summit series, which I'm sure are you Canadian grandfather's great uncles. Always talk about biz frequently. Yeah. To touch more on Jana there cheese. The only woman inducted in this class, of course, finish off her career in the end whol. And of course. With the Brampton thunder. And then of course, the Canadian women's national team and in. I mean, I I don't what's that. Sorry. Who won the gold medal and women talkie. This year. Both the United States. No, I wasn't sure. You're gonna run me for that. Well, Jane did win for as you mentioned RA in two thousand to two thousand six two thousand ten and two thousand fourteen with so I just wanted to remind you of those and of course addition to silver medal in nineteen ninety eight so congratulations to her. We gotta give the ladies Samat respect. And and of course, you touched on it to Gary Bettman. Yeah. He's not the first commission to be elected to hall of fame in his respective sport. In fact, quite a few of them do get in. I don't know if it's a payback from the owners that the guy worked for, but you know, Batman, he he gets shit on all the time. He still gets booed. I I love the way he kind of eats it up. But if you look back with his league was before he took over where it is now. Hell man, I have no problem with him bone on the hall of fame. I mean, the growth of this game onto his stewardship has been fucking incredible. I mean, we talked twenty five years ago. The hockey was a contract the league sign with TV partners. It was just over five million dollars a year. I mean that gets you fucking third-line food for one year nowadays. And that's what they had the dole out between thirty our twenty something teams back then so that the league's exploded onto Batman. And I'm sure people cry about it. But I really have no issue with them going in. What about you? What's? Yeah. I mean, they're the more. You know, I kind of heard both will not hurt. But realize what's happened to teach go over immorally understand? You just went into good description of it. But I mean the last few Stanley Cup finals, you know, you got Nashville you've got San Jose the kings have won Anaheim on a Cup and all these places weren't around campus been there. It's. It is impressive to see all the places that were in work. I actually heard he hates the ten non traditional hockey market, drives them not. But it it's very impressive teams have come from where they are not all over the entire United States Canada. And because of that you're seeing kids no doubt about it. Because of that inter coming from different places from Florida Austin, Matt fault that we've talked about this at length, and it goes back to Gary Bettman is part of the reason why in making sure that these cities teams, and so the put him in all I understand that. I think times Boeing just people just. Or just because like the guy next on doing it. I mean, I don't really know why you're actually boom belong coats people off. But hopefully, another one for a little while that could be touchy subject already third thing. If there's one we keep doing checklists. We'll be fucked will have nothing to talk about talk about all of our lives. Again, have log for them. Pettman all enjoy it have a good night. He actually had been hearing his speech to oh quickly before we move on March Saint-Louis because the lightning playing the sabers the next night. Actually, lost Buffalo's pair, Mike, we're not only with the over on the point. But all of his teammates. When Tampa Ryan Malone was there. Teddy for cells gonna come on. We're also dropping bread soap later. We haven't mentioned that teddy. We're gonna talk to him. So that was pretty cool to have some Mexican made. That shows how much of a good guy Marty was or. Yeah. I think they had to bring in fucking two planeloads of guys that were there for a speech. What you just touched on it. Teddy pursell was there to honor Martin Saint Louis, and of course, watched the induction ceremony. I would imagine that none of us on this podcast ever make it there. So what we are going to do is bring teddy on to maybe Grenell, e well, you never know like NHL fucking spits chocolates producer. But we're going to bring him on for his behind the. Scenes look at it. He's going to talk about it more in depth. I thought that would be cool for our listeners to experience that and to touch on what you just touched on to. It was. Khatun spa flow, sabre, seven two and two and their last eleven games. Four wins in a row there in the first wildcard spot in the Eastern Conference Grenell. You're not superstitious at all. And you will talk about it. You've been yelling it from the mountain tops. You took an unbelievable futures bet and the sabres continue to roll that. They're the guys I love them. I'm Reid with the sabres team. I was talking to wit about it last night. And like at the beginning of the year. You got you all three you guys were pumping Florida's tires, and I sat back and said, I think that Buffalo's top nine is better than Florida's top non. And when you look at them, I think it's true and kind of give back to me last night that floors taught nine might have more points. But I mean, I just think when you look at the guys it's so just a solid solid lineup. Top to bottom now that Dahlan's gonna learn to actually play in like he he'll learn from Rasmi risk line. And in those guys. I mean, I think it's it's inevitable that they're going to be in the playoffs. Boys. All I. You're getting a little you get lit area. No way right now, my Harriet away, I have to I either I either have to go all in or I can't go in. And all you know, if you do something you gotta do one hundred percent. And hearing last spring Keti herself oughta Holland payment Dutch, there's former teammate Martin Saint Louis with a bunch of guys including Ryan the loan was tonight that people's drink the Jugo who were doing it all that the home alone with coming in hot. So how was it? Did I give me the breakdown of when you got up there who you went onto dinner with the mardi speech. All that gives. It was the back info here. I mean, it was so awesome. A hug the actually call me like a month ago and cave. You talked to Marty and we do some business stuff with Murray, solely go. We talk like here and there texting who's gonna call him right now. I'm like, I hate secrets just tell me what the fuck going on. They wouldn't tell me wouldn't tell me, and then finding a call Murdy, and he was like, yeah. One invite you to like, my hall of fame induction of like, whoa. I didn't expect all that was that was super cool. So I got up there like the ceremony wasn't until Monday. But like fuck never gonna get invited to one of these again. So I'm coming into early. Scoot it on Saturday morning. And it would I get the hotel and really go. Hey, Mr. personal oklaho- fame. I'm like, oh, thanks for having me. Then I was actually super nice of Tampa owner, Mr. vinick who's the nicest dude, ever e-. I get their check in. And my hotel was paid for every was paid for my tickets paid for I basically like went there for free, which is also Larry and Marty rents a restaurant. One night we go there. We get absolute shit face Marty's excited his family's through. It's like the best thing got a bunch of duties there, we go back though, tell we have a hot stove in the room till like six in the morning. We get up to all. I'm so jealous. Bharti had like the best guys to get a bunch of guys from his work Cup team. Obviously many was there. I mean, this guy doesn't even get old here. It looks great. He's and he's jacked on like, I go ahead. I know I try to actually put me down in the hot stove at seven. Am. I he said I was getting I went over the edge. I was trying to be into took me down in the murder. Sweet. I loved it. Oh, my God told Marty so mardi actually he's allowed to invite as many people as you want or you made the cut, and this makes me wanna be kids. So one of the book. Said. I mean, I think you're there. You're glue guy where you're like me. It's like me Mugsy. We don't know why the hell gonna bite about. I was like are you going to bite me? Give me an inch take puck and six miles. Let's go. Never be back again. And and it was it was great just because the actually was sad. But it's so awesome. I don't know if you guys saw the speech and Murray thanked his mom. So last time we saw Murray's family and friends. It was when his mom passed away at the funeral. So to see his dad Norman he was dancing the finger snaps going elbows. We're going crazy on the Dan for he was loving. It is is family and friends their several was so happy. So it's really nice to see everyone in such a good mood. And celebrate you know, obviously, the career everyone knows how good he was. And when impact you had for everyone. Teddy did mighty not know that that the current Tampa Bay Lightning. We're gonna be there was that a surprise to him. I don't think it was surprised they were talking. So it was also awesome of Mr. Vinik to the boys flew from Tampa the buffalo and all the doors that weren't invited. They get off him. Hip walk straight need wings all afternoon and the guys like play with Marty polluted Tronto, right? The harbor six yet a free meal went to the event and then bust back the buffalo the next night. So that was Marty was like super happy to see those guys, obviously, it was cool that they they went on our way to do that. I mean, obviously, it was a no brainer. But it was it was super cool all the support that Maria. I don't want to be a buzz Killington here did Stevie y end up going. No, he didn't the first thing. I asked to and then it was like we were kind of laughing too. I guess John Cooper win mardi talked about all his coaches and Cooper like sitting at this stage. Like, you know, puppy dog like was head tilted like, oh and Martin's as name we were dying laughing forget or was it an accident was he was cooped space. I definitely don't think it was an accident accidentally on purpose. Maybe. Oh, jeez. I mean, I respect it member. Jordan, Paul fame speech for Christ's sake. Exactly. I mean, he he wasn't there that long with them. It was just kind of funny. I was like oh in the crowd like only pull my soup color loop. Sees. Pedic. Oh, no, no. I was just gonna ask what the funniest thing. Bugsy Malone all week. No, me and Bugsy. We got into all weekend and watch football on Sunday. Saturday. We had that he rent out this restaurant with all this family. We'd go back at six next day, we show up again after the hall of fame is actually one of the coolest things ever was Marty had a great crew from the when he won like, Brad Richards, Vinnie, Freddie, Modine, Tim Taylor and charts. And me Bugsy of state after I mean for an op so on that. And you know, Marty was watching that he was obviously nervous and he was happy after we're having bears like had his hall of fame jacket on. It was all jacked up to that. He got a suit made for news. Like the first time. My life was too short at the legs like longer. Can you believe it, can you believe? Already saw it on TV for the first time like after it was obviously we're in Canada. So it was all over TSN or whatever sports net and soc- him like watch himself on TV. Like, we're all I mean or in the morning, but it was a it was pretty cool to see just pretty like honored and unbel- for him to even think about me and invited me to such a big event county. We we only get laugh on the golf took. We'd be like. Looking for hanging netted Mergel Madonna over there. So I can't imagine when you walking around the hall of fame speech night. Larry Robinson, start Meena Amar just like left and right to see hall games. Lanny MacDonald, you get any stories or any chance that any of the legend to the first one we get there check into the hotel. Everyone's kinda hanging out the lobby and obviously a good city. You're there for when you're a good friends hall of fame things. He just wanna try to soak up as much as you can. So I'm not like going out to the bar like with my friends, and I have their whatever come in like met Marlboro through the Team Canada little bitty Olympics leading up the Olympics last year. He was like since Yam he comes up. Okay. Tell you what's up, Mike rubbing solar guys. Like fuck of my doing here. Like, I'm the biggest ever. Lanny McDonald comes over and he's like talking to the boy these just crushed red wine, red wine all white Coster gyn laugh, and I like wanted to send a picture to my dad, but I didn't. You know, and then the same thing like, so what happened at the hall of fame thing is like I was putting on my Instagram to like this. It's funny like some fans, and like LA or wherever they're not that good of fans or thought that was cool. But didn't realize how much I sucked. So I was like putting it on my Instagram like. Also have fucking eight follower sou-, which refunding her. But I'm putting it under like, oh, it's such an honor to go in the hall of fame. Like, I'm right at home. Thanks for having me in there. Like, oh my God. That's so cool. It congrats on such a big night. Now Jesus Christ. So. So we go there, and they have like a bar all over the place. So geysers mailing. It's great. You see like old coach ourselves. Dumpy thomas? I'm talking to him. He's awesome, dude. And schaumburg. You know, the other GM's their other players you played against yours kinda like catching up and talking to guys I happen to be downstairs, and I'd like mardi the after the hall of fame. They all go down and like sign this book. It's like when you get married you signed the official paper, you're going the hall. So everyone else went up to like this private room. We're all like the guys pitchers of their heads are like actually in the hall of fame rules, but they turned into a bar. So it's like a party for like just the guys are inducting the close family. So I was like downstairs mingling security had to confine mix. I couldn't get up there. No, let me in. So I was like, obviously, the pigeon that I was but I was like downstairs open bar. I'm fucking mainland. I'm having a great time. I'm like, I don't want this night to end. So then all of a sudden like the bagpipes come on. My fuck is going on here. So I'm trying to get upstairs. All of a sudden every any thriller hall of Famer that there so dominant Catholic Pat left hunt pain, Dave Egner. Chuck Murdy Gretzky. Paul Coffey, Adam Oates, Cam Neely, and I'm like, Luke grow Tom McCall. Hey, what's going on? Oh my God. The list. No. I know it was unbelievable. It was really cool to see like, I can't imagine. How like exciting was for for the guys that are actually going in the hall, but even just for the fans and fan like me to that actually played in plaguing. Some of these guys I was like this is actually really fucking cool to the witnesses. Did you get to have a conversation with Hasic? I didn't. I said, hi them. I think he like walk the other way. Hey, oh, hey. He he's like, yeah. Take another glass came and cereal. Okay. I'll go get it. It over drivers of black-tie dark suits like annoyed and call nubile entrust. You. Wearing a wire. Kenny. So give us a little bit more hall. Things are going you're working with Adam Oates, who I think people loved his interview. Thank you for helping us set that up it has everything to do. Everything's good, man. I actually came home to Newfoundland after mardi thing. I've been home in the year and a half OT like gave me ten minutes off of not talking hockey. So's my smoke. But that was actually pretty cool to really know what I was going to do this summer per come back from the nightmare in Russia. And he was out in LA training marks rightly and Blake Wheeler. And he came to me. And he was like, hey, man. I know you kinda you had me as a coach, and you work, I work for you when you're playing do you feel about work for me? I was like, I don't really know. I think about it. You know, let me see. And it's actually it's awesome. Because he's a great do get along. So well, he celerion as you guys know like witty and at dry sense of humor, obviously is hockey IQ is up chart. So I still learn a lot actually feel like on a better player and no more about hockey now that I'm done a making no money than when I actually played. So I'm actually a little sour about that. But it's cool to still talk to the guys and be around it and still watch. And and you're involved little bit. And we traveled some good cities. And you see the guys. So I think it's a really good balance. Me right now, then we saw he signed on basic contract with the kings a couple of weeks ago, but the pressure these didn't really offer a lot of details. Now, how is that still gonna work where he's working with the kings? Is he still going to be allowed to work with players on other teams that did the kings make him put some Shona language in the contract. You know, anything about that? Or would you rather not address or not say, no, I mean, no, he he he's open about it too. And there's no big secret behind it is he's an. Independent contractor now. So it's not like he's going in and telling symptoms, and you know, talking about other other players with who is working with the kings. I think they want some help on the power play and offensive zone. You know, kind of just a different voice, a different hockey mind. And from you guys talking everyone knows his career. He's got some pretty good ideas that worked for him. And so I think for now it's a good balance for him where he can, you know, help them out, and they'll work with his players on the side. So it's a good fit so far teddy. I wanna ask you this. How thankful are you for this job because it kind of I wouldn't say it came out of nowhere. But like when you retire man, it's difficult. Sometimes you just find yourself in a rut. No for sure. And like last time, I talked to you guys. I was obviously so happy to come back for Russia really give a shit. Our shoveled shit for a year. I was happy. I was a smiling and in care about anything. But like you said it it does set in like reality sets like okay what I'm going to do. Now, it did it kinda fell in my lap. And then the kings approach me too. I'm just doing some like TV stuff. I'm gonna do like fifteen for soldiers share with some of the guys. So it's good that I think when you're player and wouldn't and bitch. Both you guys know this that when you're a good guy. You don't burn bridges. Yeah. Coaches hate us 'cause we all sucked, and we will the league and made more money than we showed up that people. Like if you're good guy. People will come back in and circle back, and they want to work with guys that are kind of fun to be around. And and good, dude. So I think that was kind of a situation there, and it's keeping me busy and drink and fifth. Eighteen times a week. Now, I drink seven so it's perfect. Who's been your funnest player to work with so far in your new role? I think that's a tough question because they're like talked all the guys to a little bit. And maybe even maybe even like the Bill object like where you think that you can really happen person out del really hope two guys go over. Well, that's like winning the most improved. Hey, you suck. What you're still suck where you're gonna little bit better. I'd say. Actually. So I I worked out with Mark rightly in in Toronto years back, and I always knew he was a good player. I didn't realize he was going to be like a he's arguably like a top ten player. Would you guys say? Yeah, I'd say. Sure. Yeah. What whatever the number is. But just to see how dedicated he is. And how much he loved learning from? Oh, gee, and how like fired fired up big edge. I just been impressed by that. So I I'd say shove it needs a little conference trying to help them. He got kind of bad haircuts styles like getting a little better. So like a little chick with bump. And when I actually got to spend some time with them. He's a fucking great kid. He's got a good personality. I would consider him the hockey nerd category. Where he ain't going out every night having beers at the boys. But nonetheless, like just like a great personality. And does he not have a nutritionist where he's broken it down where he knows exactly what he needs to eat each time of the day. And exactly what is going to help is body succeed, and what his his body would be allergic to or is that is it that intense. Yeah. I mean, I think Winnipeg to like restaurants limited. So like I was up there before their training camp in like wheelchairs, like a chef. When over the meal is unbelievable. If I think Shaif got on that or two if like getting chef and. I know when you're so rich to your have chef around, you're you know, you're going to eat. Well, you don't have to go out and deal with the cold and fans be played bad. Like all that bullshit. So it's just like convenient easy for them. And I think he knows a little bit on the obviously with the Tom Brady coming out with all that stuff too. He was just interested in it. So I think he went out and got I I don't think he's crazy as Brady, but he's just kinda seeing what he responds to well. And obviously his body feels good. He's knock on what he's been pretty healthy to last year's been stunned the game difference. Thank every game. So gotta tip your cap, like whatever he's doing is working and might as well. Stick with a right. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Before we let you go. Did you end up getting all the money you were from Russia? No, I didn't know they didn't get one hundred grand and Connie evil. I know there's another talking about like, so they say they pay for your gear, Mike. Okay. I went over there with like skates on the head and LA in the minors. My last year pro and I was just like soaking around. I was like, I'm not even a good skater. Anyways. My ankles are so weak in like the skates were like paper bags, and then I had no house usually old sticks were like four months old. I didn't I didn't care Russia gives a shit. And so we had a. I was there for like four. I was there for four months and wreck before the playoffs. I get new purse skates like thirty four sticks on like, I left all my gear there anyway. Oh, yeah. You will be eight thousand like, and and they said they were going to pay for my parents flight that was in the contract of my flights back and forth. That's probably not twenty grand, sir. Holy semi. But those guys while teddy. What is is there anything else? You wanna talk about that? You were expecting us. Ask. Oh, good. I mean already might be. We stay up till seven Watson talking about hockey in life. But it was good to see him smile so much and those guys must have had so much fun. They won the cop and just to you know, see many and set the tone Bugsy Malone. Was was really cool. I'm this, thankfully, mardi like I said earlier thought of being to vitam, you know, we we didn't play for five years, but didn't make him better than his career, obviously, Vinny Richie, stab or these guys. But thinking me that, you know, listening to me is an okay guys that was someone always remember someone's like your first saying Joe go on like at the hall of fame. Like, this is fucking awesome. A last question we as was Bugsy Malone still scooping ice, guys drinks. Yeah. He will already. I know it's so stupid too. It's like you're talking to someone. I'm talking to Dave Egner. Charter you're talking to a hall of Famer and Bugsy like dips his hand in your drink. When you're not looking and giggles. It's like who no way. You've got a joke. Like who comes up rule, that's like borderline like zero killer ship, excuse me, miss. I gonna chug this. Hey, all of a sudden these like he's like, hey, Gary shangen down. Drink. That I got Gary. No, Gary that the whole baby sketchers onto kinda hard to say. Hard to say go on. Doing buddy, you're the Batman roll, we're gonna we're gonna hopefully if you if you real- come back on, and and, you know month, or do we love jobber you ever thanks for having me loveless than we'll chat to thanks. Bye. Bye. That interview was also brought to you by Mugsy jeans. If you're a hockey guy, or an athlete, you've struggle to find clothes that fit you. Well, let's face it. So he's officially a recurring guest. He's always a fun time. Yeah. We mentioned the trade that happened Wednesday to me kind of reeks of I wanna wake my fucking team trade GM Jim Rutherford sent Carl Haglund to LA Tanna Pearson. Not a blockbuster trade, but certainly two guys who've been struggling this year. Both getting a change of scenery. Let's see Hagelin is a pending UFA. So if the kings don't manage to become a contender for the rest of the season, he could potentially be on the move again. He's thirty as old he's in his eight season is a foot million dollar cap that he's been a struggle. So far this season one goal to assist. I did when the two cups with Pittsburgh and sixteen and seventeen. Tina PS Pittsburgh's getting a guy for years younger. He's only twenty six he's in the second year of a pretty team friendly four year fifteen million dollar deal. Three seven five million average shed. But he's only has he only has one assist thus far. He also wanna Cup rookie back and fourteen. Again, guys. I think this is two guys who are struggling. I think the penguins maybe Ruth rather finishes trying to tell his locker room. Hey, you know, you guys gotta wake up somebody else could be next which you take what's. Yeah. That's a pretty good. Pretty good analysis by you. Thank you. Listen. This is something where this is something where sometime both team, Nina change and players needed change, satanic Pearson biz. I mentioned to you have to say about him 'cause you're in L A's organization. He was awesome. When they won the he won the Stanley Cup. I mean, he was fly play with I feel like he played with Jeff Carter a lot. And he is good meal. She could score. He was he wasn't soft player at all hard to play. Again. I shocked when I saw the zero goals one assist right now. And then came slow start at a good run the big part of those championship teams. But all right. Let's let's similar salary. Let's it was swamp here Pittsburgh kept two hundred and fifty K. I think angrily or this year to make it an even cockpit for LA because haggles making a little bit more money, but Pearson's also sign I think for two more years after. This one I believe that that's the number. So, you know, both over magin. He gets a chance of Crosby, Malcolm. I could see him first of all here in the news getting heard it's always shocking first time. So it was probably a little upset. He amazing memories being a king. But then right after that all east shit. You ever heard of Ryan litany that guy made twenty four million plane with Crosby what am I gonna go with a chance to play with this guy? This is improbable. I he's probably fired up right now. And even if it's Malcolm I could see him really stepping up and having some big game that arresting a big season for Pittsburgh. And I also like having game is quick and he makes the kings a lot faster than they are. Although Pearson's slow either. So we'll see. Yeah. Great points. I look at this one on a bigger scale than let's say a max only forget Chechnya trade for the simple fact that I'm shocked at the lack of offense of output through these two guys are quick note. RA Pittsburgh will be eating two hundred and fifty thousand dollars haggling salary to even it off at three point seven five which is Pearson salary for this year next year next year after that what you mentioned that he's signed for two more years classic ace of both these guys need a change of scenery. Let's see if it works. I don't mind the gamble by Pittsburgh at all. It's you know, it's interesting because I don't think anyone heard of this before today and then while sorry yesterday Wednesday as we're recording. But yeah, no. I think it's going to be good. And and I think it's gonna wake Pearson for sure as Moore's L A, it looks like they're kind of headed towards a little bit of a rebuild you trying to disavow lary people are commenting that it is to open up some Caspit cap space and order resigned doughty. So so who knows I I wish you both the best in you mentioned it man a lot of memories for Pearson and haggling in both of their respective cities. Also boys, we also should mention Jim Rutherford signed up believe at three year extension with the penguins. But he's not happy right now. He had made him. Comments public and the media, boating, you're not happy with the way, they're playing not happy to see stolen. So to make a trade. That's the first that's the first I've trying to get the guy's going because it surprising to see jersey was playing wasn't playing well at all and puts Berg dominated by them or not dominant. But they lost jersey hall four points out that beat. Got a figure it out a little bit. I'll tell you if I'm Elliot kings fan biz. I'm asking why do they make this deal? Like, you know, did they make the team better finale for the future? I mean, it you did reference. It's it can eventually be a salary dumped his Hagman's money is gonna come off the books. That's even keep them for the rest of the year. But if I'm kings fan, man, I'm fucking scratching my head right now in which you mentioned the fit he signed through twenty twenty two I in one of the no regarding the penguin. Sit did miss practice. I yesterday on Wednesday. They set up a body. Hopefully, it's it's nothing long-term because you know, we like we want to have the one of the best players in the game constantly point. We didn't talk about this too. I love the pens organization. I love the city there, Twitter and social media though with the fans is absolutely fucking banana lands. I would put it up there with probably Vancouver. As far as the crazies. They are ruthless. Jim Rutherford brought them to Stanley Cups back the back now because they had a slow and every time they've had issues. He's went out. In address it and for the most part been very successful with it. And I've been reading on Twitter today that they want his head on a platter, and I'm thinking, but they still got I would say a solid three to four year window with. Of course, the the core pieces they have in place. Let him shake it up a little bit as he's done in the past and had success when things don't go, right? Then you can judge last year Christ. They ran into a hot Washington team. Finally, they ended up losing to them. Of course, penguins Twitter, reacts like like maniacs. Let's see what they can do in the next three three years. You know, rather has a pretty good resumes. A lot for that organization chill. The fuck out. Also biz we gotta we gotta remember what we're our podcast is fought their Pittsburgh, the injures are spitting sicklets fans. And I think that Twitter's the it's fake world. It's a small fake fake reality people live in so most of the penguin sans. I think you ask them, and they they are very happy. You're muttering. They have trusted them. We just hear this mere culture Kripal Twitter group that we sometimes think is like real life. Oh, that's true. Yeah. My bad. So maybe a race everything. I just said Grenell. I compare pen- pens- fan stuff. Like patriots fans wits. Like, they they almost fucking take for granted what they have. They've got titles. They got a contender every year and they still want to bitch about shit. There's definitely some similarities there, I will say I will say tobacco up business point here. I mean, we out of out of all the feedback. We get on social media out of all the negative feedback. We get on social media a lot of it's from Pittsburgh fans there. Yeah. They're spoiled, buddy. They don't know they got it. Good to may not remember me snapping at tape to. For season there. You think that dark times are behind them? But I guess not and boys. Let's not forget what maybe why this trait happen. Of course, the the struggles offensively and Pittsburgh not doing well. But let's talk about this metropolitan division in general holy shit. Who the fuck would a guest where where where it would be almost a quarter into the season with the with the one two and three we got Columbus leading the way. We've got the islanders in second. And then the Rangers in third place in that division. Of course, it's still early. Of course, that's going to get shook it up. But I mean, let's guys wanna start at the top with Columbus. Yeah. I'm in. Columbus is a playoff team last year. I think because they didn't have a good showing nasty people might not be taking them to serious. But I it's no surprise they're doing what they're doing. They got a pretty good squad there, but the island is man, I think everybody wrote them off Frankie Borelli was practically hanging off the fucking Verizon bridge when Taveras virus left for Toronto. But I think we've seen this before a team they lose a guy in it. Kinda galvanizes a team they rally against it. And again like you said it is really, but this division looks upside down right now. I mean, it's it's not doing what what we expected it to do the devils. I get the kind of day started off a little hotter. They've been struggling a bit a bit as of late. But yeah, you know, jersey the arena, baggage jersey, Pittsburgh's and second last place. Carolina started hot they've cooled off. I think it's also to know to how close these teams, I mean, all these T guy team in fucking six places only four points behind the first place team. So, you know, a quick streak of winning losing can easily flip flip the division quick. But it's early. It's I think, you know, things might level off at some point. But the capitals to they they they made have a little bit of a championship. Hang will be think you'd think about that biz. Yeah. I'm interested to hear what starts on the top three right now. Yeah. Alright. Not to not to call you out. Even though I love doing it Columbus, they lost Mackerras round. But they were up to go and went to double overtime game three against Washington. So I know you're you're probably right. That not getting to the second round is considered a failure. But they they played Washington as hard as anyone else in the play out that so you need coming into this year. They'd be a team that would be dangerous, especially Pereira, any Sonex the I don't know it's going to re-sign their sucks if your jackets fan right now. But then you look at the islanders team. I was so I mean, I was wrong about all of them. Shocker. But I can't the unders this. This goes to show berry. Trump is a good coach. He I mean, he obviously every records. Ben good teams. Whether it does spilled the capitals are right now. The way that the islanders playing vomit Greis has been phenomenal. But the phone is up front. I mean, they they lost earlier players in the read and everyone. Everyone said they'd be shit. Maybe that use that as a little bit of a rallying cry. Sometimes that little overrated pro sports, but you never know. And they've looked awesome. And now they're going to start playing a few games back into Nassau Cosby in that place is going to be rocking than atmosphere is always been just sit in Brooklyn. So and then the rain shadow the David Quinn man rocket hottest coach in the league. Thank you very much, Bobby. He went to be went to be your former coach view the Rangers on top start. Did not look good. Some some weird healthy scratches going on there some veteran players and they've turn things around Lundquist father time each just still kicking with the best of them. And so that teams really flying. And also, our boy, Kevin Hayes has looked great lately shoulder to our boy will actually I feel like one of our most favorite guest by the people. I think they love listening special k y. Good for all these. It's very surprising to Washington. I think Washington getting on Wilson back like huge addition for them. He plays on that. I thought he the mother fucker out there. He's faster than people think. So and he's not going to change way play. And he's gotta stop with the heads. But don't pick it up. But it's definitely great to see the party. I think it's a good thing for the league of wondering if you agree with me or not on that day's. Yeah. Okay. So I'm going to start at the top. I'm going to come back to Columbus. But you you touched on the islanders. I might get smothered for this comment. But I feel like they're this year's Las Vegas Golden Knights. And I'm gonna tell you why they got they got trots much like the law a coach, very well respected. Very well liked by his team. He gets in their new system. They've tightened things up a lot defensively compared to last year because we knew they had some offense of weapons because they were getting done offensively. They their goaltenders. Unbelievable. I'll let. Are a take the goaltending stats right now. If you got Thomas crisis, you can pull them up when I'm finished here. But I just feel like the team in general has that us against the world mentality. They're like the NHL outcasts much like Las Vegas was coming in the last year. They lose to their us. You Eber -ly wasn't wanted. Edmonton goes goes to New York has success there. He's had a good start to the season. Again, Philp Alah who kinda got moved around a little bit after Tampa Bay Andrew Ladd who everyone criticized forgetting a ridiculous contract. He's been solved for them on Leo com. Raw who people thought in Toronto was done. He goes over the island. He's been solid for them as well. I mean, Matt Martin he's only played eleven games. He came over from the Leafs as well. He's had three big goals for them. And another thing I want to mention is. I'm still waiting for Matt Barzel the pop off even a little bit more. He second on their team in scoring right now. It is difficult for a guy like that. In a second year. All of a sudden, the big boy Taveras is gonna Toronto. Now. He's got those first line matchups which makes it more difficult on him facing better defensemen on a nightly basis. Currently right now to his shooting percentages at seven point one percent, which is bound to even out last year. He finished at twelve point one percent. I know he's not known for his goal scoring. He's more of a setup guy currently only two goals this year. I believe that that's going to a scale up, fourteen assists. Of course, did you have those numbers for Greis because he's been lights out? All right. Gotta might have brother. He started eight game. So five five two in one record with a one point nine eight goals against in a point nine three eight save percentage with one shutout. He's a guy who was you know, a bit of a I wouldn't say no journeyman backup. He was what a few different teams. He never really got an opportunity to start. He got that the island, isn't it? It looks like he might he might be number one in hiding who's been kind of never really got a good shot at he was always backing guys up, but he can maintain this base. Then then the fucking guy might be the limit for the aisles this. Yeah. Absolutely. And then and then moving on a Columbus, of course, who are leading the division right now. I guess the reason I'm so surprised are in the position right now. But bra. She had a horrendous start to the season. He's finally caught stride in his last five games. He's only allowed more than one goal in one of the five starts in all those other games. Only allowed one goal, which is it remarkable. So obviously with him catching stripe the obvious Panara. And we talked about him last week. He's fucking filthy one of the most ridiculous trades in recent memory, currently that Columbus team has eleven players with nine or more points Panara, of course, leading the way. And then they're one two punch on the back end of Seth Jones. And we're in sqi set Jones is only played eleven games to miss seven to start the year with injury. But he's already got nine points Renske. He's got eleven. So ultimately, they have everyone pulling the rope. They're they're coached. Well, so I guess not as big a surprise as everyone thought, but that Metropole metropolitan division in general. And then of course, third right now is is New York where everyone thought was going to go through a rebuild. But they've been very impressive. The. Yep. Forget I'm gonna bring his name up. Every time. We hear it out the podcast back for it deeper Natalie. I think he's through the interviews. He said he'd give us what back when we were let alone. RA's out. He probably had a couple living in their yourself. Hey, mom, and little and. Hey, little mama clock. Stop. Podcasts rents outcome on and just let burnt through it. He's never end. You, you know, now people are going to be to hear wit. He called. Talk cast. They didn't appreciate it. So we'll keep lead. Please come on help the bell here and brings up Jones while you're at it. So now, we're going to be bullying guys on into interviews. And speaking of interviews, we have Brent Sopol who was very candid. But heard a lot of great things about he has some wonderful stories to talk about food NHL career his junior career. And of course, some Russian gas stories from his time in the cage L, he's he's went through some difficulty in his life. A very open guy. He's going to talk about it. We're going to win. Welcome to the spy ship podcast. Brent Sopol seven hundred or six hundred and fifty nine NHL games drafted in the six round of the nineteen ninety-five NHL introduced by the Vancouver. What a city welcome to the podcast, buddy. I appreciate that. Just let me know where to send that tech for for that intro. I'll send you Venable request for some perfect. He tried Archer voice. You tried. Adding one hundred games is looking for the electric case. He knows how it is. You know, Cam smart, man. Thank you. Thank you. So let's let's start at the beginning. You're a western league guy. So obviously, probably fucking, you know. Crush guys throwing both hands seeing girls stripped ride along your bus the old Jewish show. Oh, absolutely rookie parties. Verka make it in in the bus of the you know in the seven hour bus ride comes up with the clothes on at while. I mean, you started in Saskatoon. And I mean were you drafted their junior? No, I was from your ours from Saskatoon, and you know, they saw me like Hymie on might take a shot at this guy can't skate. You know, he's this lowest guy in the league. But as I was playing midget AAA. So they brought me up a few times. I ended up getting, you know, get lucky sticking there. And then got traded off to speedy Krief home of you know, Graham, James Neal, the pedophile needs to be Brian bars for for life. Oh, wow. So. Yeah. Fucking for for real. So so you you got discovered and kind of walked on with Saskatoon with the blades and played there a little bit ninety three ninety four a little bit more ninety four ninety five and then in ninety four ninety five you got tree said traded a swift current where you where you pretty much finished the rest of that season. Correct. You know at the power down the down the road in beautiful. God's country has gotta we like to call it. The young kid getting trade from home got a little homesick early. But you know, on the road sound on the local bars only the local high school girl. So you know, I was all set pretty quick. Nice. So what's he drafted ninety five? Would you said you were terrible skater what kind of things that you have to work on Brenta like improve your game a goal from Billy planned to get drafted in the six around the NHL. You know, honestly, you know, my skating is always, you know, they cannot those both these guys with is rated probably the florist. You know, I was never never the strongest theater. So that that was you know, that was the big thing. I came to league offense defense back day. Thank god. We have the hang on the water skiing with Khokar anybody. So. I came in the right time. They're doing a heck of a lot of ad. But you know, it was got lucky had some skill. But it was more of a hasn't had more of a work ethic than than anything. Yeah. I mean back then the, you know, sp- skating wasn't really the focus. They're more concerned. Whether the guy was over six feet, he could fight a little bit that was more important than the skating aspect. Oh, yeah. You know in in western league. You know, you had to have at least nine guys on, you know, on each team there, at least, you know, one bench-clearing brawl our year, and at least a line brawl every other game. So you have to you have to be toughened. You know, still skating wasn't really too much concern. So we talked about this few podcast ago. Were you still in the whol when they made the team's warm-up separately? Yeah. That's when I was I was in, you know, in the w at that point time, you know, we'd be out there. I think it's like forty five minutes before we have the full ice or twenty bucks whipping around like idiots on this whole life. You know, when you're the busy team that finally, you know, they woke up and do the half ice, you know, halfway through my w talker. So bread you spent some time in the minors. Right. I mean, you're grinding out in the always hung really gives we call it. Was there a moment when you're thinking, I don't I don't know if I'm gonna make it as a regular NHL or the whole time you thinking I'll get there at some point. What's kind of mind mindset is into three or four years in the minors? Well, you know, because you know, I never thought I, you know, whatever make it up. I think that it was my third or fourth training camp. I mean, I'm in Ottawa, and you know, we played activision game. And Mark Crawford is coach this point time. You know, he pulled me and he's like you don't want. Soaps, we all were sending down, you know, you're opposed to you. Don't fight. You don't hit pass you don't fit. Yeah. For it got. And like you're puts you do fucking nothing out here. So we're sending into the liners. The whole shit coaches are so fucking Ruth. Terrible. You do not you don't shoot hard. You. Don't skate hard. You don't pass argue do. Absolutely nothing. You're you have no hope of NHL career. So, you know, you're heading off the minors and see later said, no hope no joke. Don't even knowing no joke one. So at that point. Finally, you know, I guess they're going to Syracuse gonna have a crew be a criminal here. And I was at so I thought it'll and was was no hope after that meeting. What year was that? Because I mean, you had a pretty decent year in in ninety seven ninety eight authencity with ten goals thirty three assists for forty three points in Syracuse. Where you spend most of your time in the H L. Yeah, I think it was the next year. It was that same year. I got sent down. I got called back up. You know in February ended up, you know, I had a ten game point streak in favor. Things are going. Well, it was right around Valentine's Day. I got a call back. Coach calls me and said you're going up. Yeah. Okay. You know, it was able pools fired Crowe hates me. So, you know, a, where's the where the carries and all like, you know, he's like seriously going well so that went up to one up Vancouver, and I never came back. So when you showed up you're like, hey, crow of this cool do know about that. Yeah. Cohen in our best friends. We end up Kilcoyne. I have the probably the biggest love hate relationship. We had more fucking matches in address Vero than on an on the bench. Then you know, I've ever heard, you know, he came after me all the time is I was always told Mark Crawford would go up and down the bench and just pick guys kick them right in the back. Kick me he told me grabbed the back, Mike jersey and just pull you back. You know? Yeah. He packed personally. You know, he came up one year after the season. He's like, so, you know, we need to work hard. You know, you need to get fifteen twenty pounds so left there went rate home, hit the diet hit the weights, you know, put on twenty pounds a muscle, and I come back here. And he's yelling bench. What are you talking? Hercules. Now you turn green. Are you all this screaming at me to spend at me for it was like six weeks wouldn't let me play. Only practice bags gated me, and I have to step on a scale every single day. See what my weight loss before? He let me play. Oh, jeez. I I've heard numerous stories about him playing mind games with guys. Like, so all in all if you saw him now, would you talk to them or do you have a normal conversation or you kinda hate his guts? What to some of the things he said. Yeah. You don't fuck you. But for whatever reason he kept putting me out there. And you know, I probably played, you know, you almost probably close to five hundred games in my career or was with them, you know, four hundred should say so as much as I hated them. And you know, whatever you had something that he liked me. So back to the love hate relationship. I definitely I don't win say, you know, you're an apple sometimes for sure. Did printed any guys take poke? Adam you send the and they kick 'em in strand joking them and get an faces any guys of lose this shit. And try to take a swing Adam. Nobody took a swing Adam. But there's a lot of guys. I wouldn't say anything, you know. I like I said I'd have fuck you matches. You know? I'll never forget in LA. You know, like fuck up, you know, Keikel he comes back in. He's a fucking face to meet him. Like fuck you face today. I can read my right in front of dress in front of everybody. You know, I just gave it right back to them. So there's a lot of not swing. But there's a lot of guys that we just take it. You know, I took so much of it did guys in the room give him shit whether to his face about about how well manicured is was all the time. It seems that something guys give me shit about. Oh fucking. You know, just for men. You always knew when he had a good idea. Sideburns or nice and nicer painted black. So, you know, we always we always trip them. But. He wasn't afraid to get in. Everybody's face two part question here. I wanna talk about your time in Kansas City. 'cause I've I've. We're supposed to move there. When when you were playing their wherever there was all those rumors because they had arena built before. They got Crosby. Thank you said. I think that's pretty much changed everything. But as far as Crawford's concern. I heard he was a type of guy though, when you came back at them. That's all of a sudden, he would respect you. And he kind of be one of his boys kind of keen in one. Yeah. You know, I think I'd have to because I came back at him all the time. And like you said, you know, I was down in Kansas City. Your Lau is one of those stints where he was. He was bag skating me wasn't letting me play. So they they sent me down. You know, they're gonna send me down on those, you know, two week conditioning since that they they used to do to guys. I ended up going to Kansas City playing two games. And somebody got hurt. You know? Thank god. You never want. Anybody got hurt? But if you're a guy, that's you know, getting basket every day, and you guys know the lineup. You know, we need to get somebody hurt get back in. So casey. I had a great forty eight hours wasn't cabs city. Hey, so we I'm looking I'm kind of going through the hockey BB. So too does of five thousand sixty year after the Lochoe you sign with the islanders was done a one year deal because that year you got traded to the kings. The two year the year deal, and you know, same thing yet might know a GM told him to go fuck himself. Yeah. Well, Char's pros long is the owner at that point time. And you know, he walks in. It's it's a Saturday morning. You know, we're at the hotel haven't pre-game before getting on the possibly going to to jersey for an afternoon game. And he comes in your stocks a third of what he's talking about. And he said, I want you to watch the the movie Cinderella, and you're right on the DVD what this means to you. And I want you handed in, you know, didn't watch it. I wrote nothing and the receipt and that for my money back and. So that that went over that went over, well, but millbury stories, you know, I had an ex Danny try and try and sue me for twenty six million dollars. You know, she tried to accuse me of all this shit. You know, end up being on page six of the daily news, you know, with pop half, and I was in the bottom half and millbury coma. Hey, just pay this brought off. And I thought you you don't so. So this just so into Mormon at the time that you or or like what you're dating. And then no, no, I was married at that time and we'd hired hired a nanny, and she was wasn't happy with with their pay. And you know, she said she was doing it for all her her country people, you know, just try to take me take me for money. But then day fuck off I'm paying paying her. And that's why I got traded really. That's gonna be a one of kind reason to be treated kill. Had a lot of good reasons to trade guys sarcasm in my voice. Sucks. Mike you traded me to the LA kings. Thanks. Yeah. From the island, and you don't have to deal with you. I don't have an owner. That's tell me to go. Watch Cinderella, man. Thanks. Appreciate essays. Coles notes. We like, bro. Fucking gladiator. That was that was know lessons the nightmare. The ship has been going on for for years in near Long Island near ROY. A virus leave long 'cause it's been a Finnish ritual or nobles from backup goalie to GM. Remember how again? He was he wasn't one year. He was you my backup, you know, on the island, and that's forty you know, when he went to GM, and he was using dirt on guys going out in the Goshi ASICs. The next summer Jesus fucking Gandara while now it all started with the owner all it was a little bit of an odd situation. He was like buddies with some of the guys to DP tro was good buddies with them just now just no foundation to that organization, and it was just a gong show for so many years. Yeah. Well, that's your your Jahshan got that ninety million DP guts, you know, the fifteen year contract. And I remember watching an interview, and we're Tronto, you know, he's on sports net. You know, saying that, you know, everybody knows that rookie left a lot of money on the table. Why do you got sixty four million dollars? I'm not sure what he left on the other. Then he played. But but thirty games that forget nocco Brent Johnson by that that solid right? But they don't really exactly but back to your point is. There was no foundation. It was free Chituwo. These guys were going to lunch with them dinner with them and buddied up with them, and they got millions of dollars. So. Sounds like it. Took that route roasted him. Going back to Vancouver to finish off that. Oh, six oh seven season. You spend quite a bit of time in Vancouver. Like you had to have loved it. There. Did you see business? You know? Oh, don't stir the pod. Forget about that question. Let's. That look what you don't read that article what the province what was it Bank over for four forty five. Opus the road team came in tonight's four game. I mean that makes back. Okay. So when you were playing there to raw Oxy was probably at its peak. Prying pry Roxie downstairs, nothing better the homework better. There's a. Definitely had my footprint place. There's no saying if you if you if you walked out empty handed that you'd actually have to chop and hand your dick and the next day at the rink. One hundred percent. Iraqi was was easiest he'll he'll put it on a t- Fisher with dynamites there's ever been and then in then you go over to Chicago. And I wanna talk about. Yeah. I mean, we're or take the reins buddy take the reins where I just I remember you got to Chicago. And you know, you played I think two full years in the third year. You won the Cup that was it. Right. So you it seemed that you fit in perfect there. You know, the role they had you playing then the year you won the Cup was just a a great year few especially in the playoffs. What what made what made it such a good fit for you there? How much did you love that city, which I still say is my favorite city in the NHL. So give me a little info into how the started in Chicago. And then leading into the Stanley Cup was won and raised by yourself. All this up. That will. I went your unrestricted comer that year Vancouver. And you know, I didn't have very good year, you know, in LA and Hoover. So I ended up having to go to the Troy on a trial really on hold my agent. My alcohol's my agents, you know, what we're looking for a right handed pension the play with nNcholas. Oh, sign me up. That's a total in white. Roger RA could fought argue that. Anybody? You know, we I'm like, okay. You don't like go there and bad coffee coach, which is awesome guys the greatest coach industry. Not. So you're playing points. Amac condition games, you know, kinda hall, and you know, calls my agents your point while we'll give them a one year deal at a million bucks. And the why agent calls me that morning and actually warning. We're flying to Toronto play a home in home with make lease. So I cook much of what you know. There's a few teams that we're talking to that were getting the same excuse all we got down God. But we wanna see see how they do. You know, every team does it every year and my agent calling Skog on what the jam at that point time. And that was like, you know, what law from a one year deal. I think it was like one point three million. And, but you know, all guarantee them top four minutes. So, you know, landed Tronto talking my agents, he called me we land. Like, I said, I'll take that deal. I said, you know, he's gonna guarantee top four minutes. I said here in Detroit, you know, I'm competing with Chellios guess what? Guess who's going to win? I said I'm not gonna play very many games. I may win the cop. But after that, my crew will be over. Let's see me over to you know overseas. So I said, you know, pay deal in Chicago, and you know, go from there. So I said you call Kenny Holland. Get to the rank. I'm talking my agent. You talk any hall, and no he can't get a hold of anybody in the media. So guys get ready for the game. I'm just in my underwear guys. Like, what are you doing? Hey, you know, I decided Troy five minutes before warm-up agent. Anything you know, you gotta walk in that room that though Babcock or not playing of. Two minutes before warm up. There's no spare didn't bring any extra. I walked in today. He'll Babs with everything going on. You know, I think myself, and you know tonight. You know, what the fuck fuck you? Where's the footage? Fuck outta here. You can cock sucker. Oh, yeah. Mother. Fucking be Babcock today. I would have game right go. Yeah. Can drop them. But I I'm team Babcock just to just call my contract, buddy. What like what are you talking about? Yeah. You know, you, you know, I got this is what I got. And I said, I gotta look for myself. I blow my Neo. It's what you don't give shit. You're not gonna go pull that from me fails. Jammie? So I'm in Toronto, you know, get my suit. Rhyme McLean was the assistant. He's a get your soup and get the fuck out here. You know? So I'm standing hallway, you know, trying to with with all the all the wraps from all, you know, all stick companies out there. So I'm talking I'm going I fucking do. Now, all my stuff in Detroit. I gotta find a flight home. So I end up taking a limo to Niagara Falls stayed overnight there flying to out of buffalo next day, Detroit got my stuff, and you know, end up in Chicago. And they said listen to your you know, we got a young team here. We want you to come here. But you know app, y you're not gonna put powerplay, you know, we got Duncan Keith. Brent Seabrook we want you to mention them, and but you're not gonna put their power place. So that's one happy Gilmore came into play three hundred sixty four more days in the batting cage. And I just I sat there turned into the defensive defenseman who just put slapshots off a in your weight end up land. And the, you know, it's. Action. Two more games and know and some Stanley Cup at the end of you. I was arrested Susan life right there telling what's for breakfast, dude. You know, it's people ask at the end of the day. I played I played scared that my career was going to be over. So I didn't give shit. I didn't care if it was say wherever I didn't care chara. You know, I was gonna stand in front of their know that if you know, it's you're gonna hit me it may break bones. I don't give a shit, but you know, I'm still planning show, and I don't have to worry about life after hockey. So I'll say this, the smartest guys who have usually sometimes longest longevity in the league. Are those who adapt because you said coming in, you know, your some skilled defenceman? But by that time is like there's a new wave of guys who they're just more mobile. They have harder shots and this and that and not to say, you're the most offensive defense. But but you're like in order to fit in nice here and bit get compensated on the back end your career. You're gonna have to adopt in and do things that you maybe do early in your career and fuck dude, you I mean, that's what everyone remembers you for now is the fact you eat eating pox. With the Scotto Blackhawks and to go back on the when you walked at a bad Cox office at probably was hard to do for you. But that was probably one of the best decisions your life. Yeah. You know, what was the toughest? Because unlike look at this team, you know, look, let's room. You know, we go down the list they end up winning the Stanley Cup that year. So I'm like. I made ever win down the Cup. I'm walking away. So, you know, basically, I was cashing in. You know, I was going all in myself. No one. You know, if I don't put up the numbers if I don't have a good year. I thought myself and and puck myself Otis down the Cup that ended up being. But you're you're exactly right. End up in the past decision by that. I made came to Chicago fit in alty pretty easy group that was John pays and and Patrick Kane's roof years. So it was pretty easy. You know, I just have to go out there, and you try and match for these guys and keep them a little bit. But what are you gonna peach guy that don't keys, so I just let them run, and, you know, high sat there eight bucks for for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and you know, like you said playing extra three years. There is one guy do want to ask you about. I wonder if you are mentor in any way, you spent three years with them in Chicago. Then you actually got traded to Atlanta with them. You're in Atlanta for a brief stretch opening might have some good big buff stories to she what does. Should they author news? No better man that guy. He he's he's unbelievable. I'll never forget the stories. He told me you got drafted by Chicago. You'll he unplugged his phone because he didn't want go to you didn't wanna go to camp 'cause he was three hundred pounds and. That was back today. No cell phone. So we just unplug the house phone the good and get all of them. I told the story on the salts told his store in the pod before it was when they brought him in one summer to basic get on the diet and get on the training regimen to get him NHL ready, and they told him he had to start eating better. And sure enough after he ended up going to like a cubs game. And he was eating like a big thing street meet fries like meat on it and cheese and the one of the the people one of the brass members. Whether it was assistant jammer GM at a time ended up walking by CNN. He was just scarfing. This thing down the side of the road after fucking cubs game. Oh, they tried everything bringing you've dietitians, and it was girl. Can we living taking them shopping? They tried everything. But at the end of the day, finally when you know when we've won you know, that year and you'll put him up at four. What was he playing at two to seventy five to eighty nobody's gonna stop the guy. So funding, they just let them go. And kind of let them do what he needs to do and look end up in hell of a player. So that can kind of lead us into something that I think rightfully show I can bring up and that is you played in Russia for four years. Three years three years three years. Okay. And now, I see the first team you played for noble noble coups nets. That is a local trash barrel. You ever go there play there? I saw that place and. How did you do that? So I hear obviously, you're not too many people there. But if you wanna YouTube crocodile tears, which is a synthetic careone clued of that's the hometown. So you'll watch that whole city. Yeah. When they injected with gasoline, or I drop in their limbs all off you'll see my apartment in that in that video. It goes back to Gago tough run there. It was drink drink drink at night. When there wasn't wasn't game. But so I went over there. You know, there was three three three or four guys that could speak English nor North Americans coaches in speak English the net that next year is when you know, our traitor trainer committed suicide in the rink with the Russian gas. Oh, God rushing gas listeners not rushing. Guess what has can you elaborate us? I mean. Again, get on the city. Nobody spoke English. You know, you go to the local restaurant and take fifteen minutes trying to figure out that we wanted to Brad. You know, we had absolutely no idea, you know, the gas. Everybody was all about it's our trainer we had to go to the wrench the night before game at at seven pm for video of the video for the day. Whatever that's called. Yeah. Well, we never had that we have to go for video. And you went home, you know, came back, and I guess as we left, you know, the trainer got in this little massage table that was heated any strapping mask on and he turned on the gas and kill themselves. Holy. That's not good for the t shirts. Grenell have them cut the t shirts. But for those who are wondering what Bauza men are isn't has out. It's called whip is a yeah, I I've talked to or you got we have new listeners some people actually so fun to explain it you spent more time in Russia than I did. Yeah. Yo it's so they all depends what team, but there's a lot of teams that went you had to go sleep and these barricades were you know, where the Russian army was the night before game. You have to be your app to Bauza by six or seven and you have to stay overnight there. You'll single badge were you put your laptop on you on the laws on his bed. And you got about half an inch side, and you have to everybody in the team had to stay there night for every single every single game. And it was it was a nightmare. Thank God Nolan. Who's nets? We didn't have to that place was a nightmare. Anyway. So you don't have to worry about the ball. So this Basel like the guy had a pre game night ritual like tug and one off Grigny one of these guys like just doing shit like that in the Bauza or was it like pretty just everyone to sleep, right? Yeah. What everybody wants it? You know, it was awful everybody 'cause they watch at the end of day windows. It's they watch every move. You may you know, they go for morning quality, you know. So there's no rats. There's nothing there watching every move you make they own do. They're making sure that the Russians don't get out because every chance that they have they're going to drink the warm beer. What's what's a straw? So it was watched pretty heavily on every night went on God help whoever was in Russia. Watching me throw myself around the room. Thank god. Nobody's because I have no idea. Dancing new. They're yelling at you. But I didn't give it show. I didn't know what they're saying. So. Wheels off your cock? Lula Morello sneak into my room practice. But you spent spent the year plan for that. I actually didn't mind where they were located that was a fun rink teams. Pretty good. Is that better, you must've enjoyed that more? Yeah. You know, it was way. Better Novokuznetsk was was always interesting. You know, I don't know what if you had this doctor that, you know, kill themselves. When I first got there. He's like, you know, handsome, and that I gotta go and go the hospitals. You know, get my blood taken, you know, 'cause I need an HIV test for for my visa, well, you know, I walk up there is this glass. It looks like it's Dairy Queen lady opens up a window. Exactly. Like, you know. You're Gordon you'll get your order for very Queen. So my arm in there, and she visit needle that's wide open probably been used by ten people and this jabs in my arm, while if I didn't have age before, you know. Hey, the needle story. That reminds you I broke my who's playing in the American League playing Saint John's, and it was it was bugging me so bad at that point that I had to get it frozen before games while the guy was supposed to freeze it like the team doctor for the same John's, whatever it's in the H L. It's the jungle while he's late on fucking waiting to go. I'm almost gonna miss warm up here sky, finance pro hockey what the fuck where's the finally wheels? Any slowly gets a new needle together? It wasn't a used one. So thank God. But this guy he sticks it in my big toe, and it's going out the other side, and he starts like like pushing the fluid out rang, and I'm like, not even in my fucking toll matter, you would doctor and he's like wa- veterinarian, and I'm like what is going on. Luckily, he backed it up a little bit scored, it's some tall. And I think I thought I fought twice. In the first period, I got kicked out, and then I went and got those in Saint John's. And so I've actually told this story before that when I was doing my, you know, you're to do the blood work when I right when I got to Russia, the lady taking my blood was smoking a cigarette in my face. He's doing it. Company. How many ranks have you walk out with a haze of smoke sitting across because everybody's got the darts on and everybody's got their jackets and our hats on because there's no heat in the race. Jeez. You for the love of the game. Like little like broke all like, what would the situation that? You stays money right now. Dinner. They was money. Like, I said, I was I was so scared of any my career. I didn't matter where I was going to go. I was going to, you know, go to Novokuznetsk, which is you know, the worst place ever end up in in new about I didn't I didn't give a shit. What I was going to have to do things Gago if I gotta play with broken bones. And you know, take off off the chain off the tee. If I was going to do that. 'cause I was I was scared shitless of of the game hockey being over. Now. Would you say Russia was good a good or bad you at that point? You'll life in career. Was it something you'd glad you did what you kinda like maybe I shouldn't have done that. You know? I'll never L never go. I'm glad I did it. I was ended out what fourteen countries, you know, these stories that there's only wit and few others that the consolidate them because it's you know, it's fucking crazy. But you know, I can say I lived through it. I lived through all those planes. You know, guys smoking on the plane open the back where the all the luggage is. On the back of the bag drinking beers smoking darts on the plane. I live I lived through all that shit dollar stories on one story that few of the more modern day guys talk about that better still over there. Some of my buddies is they say that you show up to some cities on the road and be like fifteen hookers Wayne in the lobby and some of the Russian guys will just like call down the lobby and say, yes, send up the one with the green dress. Oh, yeah. They they live. They live for their their bears in their hookers. It didn't matter. You know, you wanna Moscow half the bars word, we're hor houses, you just your stake him, and, you know, are you sportsman, you know, a little Chris sportsman. Yeah. You stay hotel. Yeah. I know that one. So it's hookers beers. Is you what you should probably know pay everywhere. I'm. I'm not a pay for play guy. And I swear much just saying cast, and I don't want to be out. But. Which I'm sure once this come out. I will. But no. But yeah, they one of my buddies said that he he had the two of the hottest women he's ever seen same night, and it costs eight hundred bucks. And like like I said I'm not down for the pay to play. 'cause you don't also don't know what kind of situation those girls are in either. They treat women like shit over there ain't fucking down with that. Hey, wasn't it insane. So Paul did you have did you have any like examples of seeing the Russians when they would have like their girlfriend and then their wife to like the game the next night. Well that was every game. It was in there to get married at a young age eighteen nineteen twenty and have three girlfriends on the side. Narrates. So you married so young over there. Hey, there was a girlfriend section and there's a wife section at the rink there in the up set corners in and they were just like better have a better bag than that bitch. What they didn't. They didn't give a shit. You know, like you said they treated their women their dogs better there women, you know, they're why to go home, and I'm going out. You got no choice. Yeah. We'll get to get puddle till nine in the morning, then go back, you know, throughout the practice politically in the bag, and then you go home or disappear for five days. Not tell anybody where you are going to bender and so up like you'll nothing happens. Did you ever dummy anyone in in a game you ever fight over there at all? Yeah. I got I got in a few fights over there chasing, these fuckers around thinking, they're all that getting, you know, paid so yeah, I gotta get a few guys face got in a few fights. But. They wanted nothing to do with that. There was a you know, it was a beer league. No hitting don't touch me. I won't cut you lied. So you know, there's ton of skill. You're all Chuck was over there. When I was there Tarasenko Canarian. So it was like that on the big ice being fatted skaters. I am I have to work harder chasing these fuckers around. Did you ever have any issues with getting paid on time? Imagine Novokuznetsk nets had some issues. You know what I can? I can honestly say I got my money all my money on time are never had anywhere. Novel. Yeah. No, no, not at all Noah cruise Neth is as city is the place was I got my money. You know, they probably started me. Yeah. Y'all. Yeah. You could change here or there. But I got my money. I didn't have to fight for it. I didn't have to to yell and scream or threaten the play. But I was lucky one of the lucky want to that always deposited my Bank account to the deposited. I got a fuck out of the country. Hey, did you talk. Did you talk to me guys from the team that had all the fighters on it where the owner was was crazy Russian at apparently he would go into the locker room with like AK forty sevens and shit. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God. I know I know a lot of guys, you know, not league. When when you're you're North American us wanna see another North American to say, hi, you know, feel speak English. So I was like fucking. I look to see who's on the team just if I can talk to somebody, you know, think I'm normal again. And I could talk to him. So yeah, we played them many kinds. But obviously thank God that nj chase after me 'cause he'll guys like morass. He would have beat the fucker to me. Quick question actually, going back to Chicago soaps. A game. The last game of the twenty ten Cuppers Philly. Did you know Patrick Kane shot, you know, did you see the win? When in all you one of those confused people that didn't know what was going on. Now. I think I was lots off the bench because you know, obviously, everything gone through this is toward Janna my career, you'll marry a host had lost two cups in a row. I was scared shitless. I you know, it didn't go in and I'm gonna coming back. Yeah. Exactly. You know, fat karma end up coming losing. So I have no idea kind of slowly throw the leg over over the boards. And I was at center ice kinda skating backwards looking at the fans, wait for confirmation from you know, from the coaches, you know, half the guys, you know, still don't know still ever seen it go in. But they tell me went in party went on so lucky that said that you know, going I was happy to win down a Cup. I love it. That's your story. Now that you're nervous didn't go in. But you really grabbing your phone quick in in text and Babcock. Doc, fuck you. First thing, I guess who's got back in the dresser Ray already talk about. We're gonna have to get a bad conch support group between what you and Mike. Commodore started soon. We're just crossing the service. We can go on. To get you on again. Because you've been very entertaining. RA? You got one more. I got one more actually after you did Russia you came back to played at the Chicago. Now is that just to make sure that hockey was idea system because you didn't play a whole year? I played like twenty thirty games. It was that just to make sure you up completely done with hockey. Now, you know what I was I was short of thousand regular season professional games by like thirty or forty. So, you know in your kids at that point time so three oh, you're three years in Russia. You know, wasn't off know not seeing the kids per for nine months year. So I came back here. I wanted to wanna hit that games. Don't even know it's not you know about the silver stick in shell. Where you you know, you've got that you know, that policy, but you know, I Stanley Cup and I can say play two thousand professor regular season game. So I can hang my hat on that a lot of guys can't to hell of a feather. And you have been you had for sure. But you know, it doesn't matter. It's all about what have you done for lately? So was like fuck you where yet now we'll soaps I wanna to talk to you a little bit about that. We've we've talked about the hockey side of it. You know, you've you've obviously had ups and downs in your personal life that you've been very vocal about which to me, I commend that. But you've now been helping out a ton of people even away from the game just fans, and I just want you to touch on that briefly and give fans a perspective of where you've been what you've come back from. Me say a couple of times that I that. I played played scared. You know as a kid, you know, as pulled that I was dumb and stupid. I was reading out a great four level going into, you know, grade nine freshman, and I would just just school fucking sucked. Hated it couldn't read couldn't do anything. You know? I probably haven't. Ask great Hake know they just pass along because I was a hockey player. And you know, it wasn't a later on. You know, I had kids ain't guy ended up being thirty three or thirty four years old when I found I had this lecture time made sense going. All right. All those years. I wasn't dumb. I just couldn't figure it out. But it doesn't change the fact that I still have our time hard time reading, and and writing and writing emails, so you I played in fear all those years, you know, knowing that, you know, I'm gonna have forty fifty years of my life, or, you know, have to get back in the workforce. And how do I write a resume when I can't write a fucking Email. You know what I do? So I hit the sauce pretty hard. You know, I was drinking during your time trying to trying to get the pain to go away going, you know, going to find a job, and my not gonna find a job, you know, kids the support I got bills to pay, you know, I mean, you know, I made money, but you end up gun divorce. So there goes back and what I do. So. So, you know, I hit the ball pretty hard, and thanks to we all actually biz one of your buddies Noah fryer crowd, but you had the balls enough to have a support group and and tossed me into rehab, and you know, kinda get my life back on track. It wasn't wasn't for him. Where would I be? That's good question. I could probably say I wouldn't be here today. And you know, next week is being sober two years on that. Congratulations. Fucking awesome. I know, you know, kind of ripped on yourself a little, but they're not able to read and write your you sound. You're articulate guy. I mean, you might have a career in media, whether it's maybe doing radio or or fuck man, maybe we even throw a fifth guy on the podcast for crying out loud. And you know, your level, but you don't it's. There was no line aid to be for me. You know, zigzag in no matter where I was, you know, just like kids grew up. I couldn't read them children's stories. So I had to make up till the story books in that three characters pinky green Blackie, and I just, you know, make up stories they went to six flags and greenie pits pants and y'all my kids are laughing having a good time. But you know, that was covered up. You know, that's the way I cover up. My, you know, my insecurities about, you know, both not reading, and, you know, it's era everybody learns in different way. But, you know, still struggling on a day-to-day basis about it. But you know, finally feeling pretty good about who. I am today. So personality wise when you when you get to talk about it, and all these people heard your stories, and everyone was so positive towards you after hearing, it, do you feel that it helps to talk about it? Are you less upset and insecure about it? Yeah. You know, what's for all those years? You know, I didn't know what it was. And then when I found out what it was, you know, you I thought I was the only one you know, what a fucking selfish idiot. You know, I'm not, you know, dyslexia as one in five kids have it for people have it. So, you know, coming out and talking about it, you I have Parenti mail me all the time, you know, kids, you know, I'll be with their kid what I do here. You know what I do there? So you know, if I can help one kid and have him not feel the way, I do, you know every single day. That's why end up son, you know, starting the principal Dacian, and it is, you know, for just lex year. So he'll try to help kids get their self esteem at Dana's day. That's it. You know, if you don't having self esteem start high school, what are you gonna turn? You're gonna turn the drugs drinking, and it's gonna lead you down a bad path. Thank god. I had like you're guaranteed. I would have been down Pat down a bad path lot earlier. Yeah. We'll make sure to set out the link to to your foundation for for all our listeners when when. The air this episode. Yeah. You too. Yeah. That'd be greatly pre shooting that said people don't understand that the suckiest hereditary, and it's one in five. So you know, you got kids you walk in that classroom. You don't break the numbers down. It's pretty staggering and listen talking to us, but a lot of fun. I think that you should be really proud. I mean, I remember playing against to just taking your absolute war, your played for a long time growing up on a farm where a lot of people told you wouldn't be able to ever make it, and and you proved a lot of people wrong and only that but then the off ice issues that you've dealt with. And where you're at now. So you should be proud. And we really appreciate you coming on. So thank you. Honor goal. My voice, you know, what let's do all the time. So I appreciate tickets time. For me. We all know your scheduled busy make all the big box that you guys are now. So I appreciate how me on. Thank thanks a lunch. You thanks a lot trillion. Appreciate him by boss. He experienced the cage the Russian the rushing away life a little bit. So also people are wondering joke Quinn built by didn't come up because that's one of the interviews. We Bank it kinda sucks for us. When when that happens when stuff break, we're gonna try to be better at non-banking, so far and bad. But I'm busy visited the everyone. Everyone's kind busy except for Dali's. Just busy getting after it. So we're gonna we're gonna try best. But sometimes it's just too far advanced. And and also he was over on Redline radio. I believe just recently Sukagaw base sport fogcast part of our those that were so check them over there too. But thank you very much. Very very interesting interview. I love talking to guys like that who just have a kind of a unique way of looking at things unique perspective, and he had the all-time fucking Russian gas story. I don't think we can have topped that one. I mean. That was next level. A lot of the send some guys over there to play just to bring more back. Oh, seriously. Right. Oh shit. Another story. We were just talking about the metro division. Few minutes ago biz buddy, Tom Wilson, he did appeal suspension. It was reduced from twenty games to fourteen games. However, the capitals have already played sixteen games. So he's gonna get his money back. But he gets fucked out of those two games. The team gets fucked out of those games. There's a those are two games. He couldn't score add totals to, you know, his career totals in Brian Burke, made a mention Brian Burke was didn't interview the other night. And he basically saying like they they should have fixed. This after Dennis wideman appealed his suspension. It got reduced it. And he came back after the, you know after the there was so many games already played. He got he got fucked out of games. Like, basically, if you're going to get you suspension reduced you shouldn't have the team already played that many more games than you're going to be suspended for so and they didn't fix it then. And now we're seeing Tom Wilson get fucked again. And I think almost biz. The league moments doesn't on purpose knowing that the appeal is gonna blow the number. So like if they delay it. It's it allows them to get a little more fucking games out of it. Some people commenting, of course, on Twitter didn't really grasp what he was trying to say he's not taking the player or the situation into consideration. What he's saying is is after the Wiedeman situation. This should have been addressed. Because both the NHL PA and Lee and come together and say, hey, listen, let's figure out a quicker way to get this handled. So this doesn't happen again. So now, it's happened twice. Let's hope they take the proper steps in order to address it that way. We don't have this come up again. I don't think anyone is sympathizing or a lot of people aren't sympathizing Tom Wilson in his situation. But they're just saying the overall situation, I'm definitely gonna have to figure out something whether you know, how the arbitrators gonna work. How's it going to be? But that that is an issue that I'm sure we'll get sold at some point. I hope it does moving on. We had a milestone on Tuesday night in the NHL, JIMBO. Joe Thornton scored four hundred ball in just a phenomenal. But nominal game. Five four wins. The sharks who were up three nothing against Nashville. National comes all back picks lead for three Saturday ties up. And then what a way to get your four hundred as the winning goal on whole lies a big time celebration John keeps it keeps. It at a minimum of the cell is usually just a low p best pump baby. But you see a big arm. Swing up against the glass. He was fired up and deservingly. So all fame player, you saw Brentford bred birds, send out a really nice tweet after you know, you could tell us a heartfelt tweet talking about just how appreciative the is to not only get to play with Joe during but me, it becomes become as run that. He's as good better guy off the ice than a player is on the ice, which is saying something and also Joe forton just always seems to be smiling. And I know that I it hard to when you had the career had. But I need everyone to do of. Favor and check out the NHL players in history. NHL who have four hundred goals in a thousand cysts, and it's an insane list. I think it's around twelve guy. There was on NHL Newark today. Maybe grenell. We can get that out on Instagram, but it insane company. So congrats them and we got Selley season. Budweiser sponsored us that's on the Monday segments. But I think we definitely need an honorable mention to him because you mentioned he doesn't he's not very candid when he scores 'cause you know, we we all know, hey, I'm a passer. So he's tell him. I did. I'd rather kick. Apple I'm a district, but he ended up big fist pump. And then the funniest part was when he went by the line, and you could tell the boys were so fired out not only because it was the go ahead goal. But just because it was four hundred. There was such a special moment. The post game interview was unbelievable. So he he's going to be our guests are Thursday edition of Selley season. And we're going to crown him the Victor on this episode. So congratulations jumbo Joel. I did text him. He said that maybe he'll make time of time for us on an interview he hates doing this type of stuff. But may hopefully soon enough we can get him out of his shell. And he can join us. I'd say he's definitely why would I want? He's an in person dot must in-person I fly to him Switzerland. His wife's from there. We'll go over to switch up some chocolate hang out with jumbo. He's definitely the sentimental favorite though. I'd say in the league the guy that everybody wants to win see win a Cup. I mean, Ovechkin was obviously up there. But I think Jones the guy, you know, no matter where you're from. What city you live in a with team you root for man, you would love to see Thornton get another crack at for. Sure. This. You had a big sign in your neck of the woods. Correct. Jacob chicken got extended. I think it's a great. I wouldn't call. It a gamble. But you know, check chicken has had quite a bit of adversity last few seasons. He tore his left and right ACL in the last two years has had limited time he by this guy is like wolverine always comes back before schedule. He fucking works as balls off in the gym. He had to spend the entire summer in Philadelphia. Recovering away from his family. The mental grind that. This kid has been through has been ridiculous. I feel bad from because he's such a good kid. He ends up getting rewarded though, for his his his commitment to not only coming back and recovery. But just you know, he's he's a stud. I think he's going to be a star in the coyotes. I think get a really good deal. Guanxi hit us with the exact terms here RA. Yep. He signed a six year extension worth twenty seven point six million comes out to full point six million a year. And I'll tell you man, the coyotes. Biz everyone goes on your call them wagon stop. But they've really assembled quite a back end there. They you know, they now have chicken Nicklaus. Chonma sensu been super Nintendo Shamas and all of Lassen, Alex gall, gos- key, and Jason murders all signed through at least the twenty twenty one season. I mean, that's what you need you need. You know, a core. Good core consistency in the lineup in Arizona's building something now. And before I handed off to you here. I think that he's going to be a very good top for defenceman produce fair fair offense of numbers. I believe he would probably have been a six million dollar type defense and maybe five and a half without the injuries. Let's hope he plays beyond that contract. And I wanna ask you for a guy who's been through that the last two years and how big of a mental grind going from back to back very significant serious injuries. I mean, you had the same thing happen. Like, what's that? Like just I mean living in your own head for that long. Not being able to play. It's the hardest thing in the world. Biz. I mean, I I was off. You know, major ankle surgery like my seventeen and finally got back after battle, and you know, all summer all training camp the season before was when the rehab started and first game. I got tripped up, and you know, didn't tear my MC L but had a bad sprain. Lamb PL and the Noida way, you're just thinking. Oh my God. Again, like, I restarted, and that was I mean, he poor ACL, and he had major major surgery, and the fact that he came back quick shows that he is a beast. He's also handsome as L Tyson. Nasa NHL network, they're asking them. A how how excited he's every woman in the world. On the ice. Complete man rocket by the way, man of the we have some man walkman rocket ugly sweater coming out. All boy, I won't take off. It'll just smell it be. Oh, the whole time. And okay, I love the look of it. Also, we wanna say good luck to study up. So he had surgery big fan of the show. Everyone knows he's one of business boys. Great guy. So good luck to him in the rehab. We have the little unveil he's gonna come on feature will get some Scotty up show, which I wanna love and other than on. I got anything else. Always align your episode, but like the be chatting making my ride goal little quicker. One thing before I have a very serious question for you. Ryan Whitney, I'll get skulled it from Red Wings fans. If I don't mention the fact that they beat my beloved coyotes the wings are one of the hottest teams in league right now. Seven and one in their last eight five wins in a row.
