"Good morning america. This is the catch roundtable. Trump castle motifs here sunday morning. Well a lot of problems in our country and we'd like to go from state to state and get the pulses situation of what's going on today our in south carolina. We have congressman. Is he makes and cheese a freshman congresswoman and she graduated from citadel. She loves america. She loves her kids and we want to get her pulse of what's going on in the country. How are you this morning. I am doing welfare and thank you for having me on today to talk about some of the most pressing issues that are facing our country. today it's what's going on is is disgusting and reprehensible and i you know i'm worried about my kid's future and the country that i'm raising them in. There's so many things happening in our country and we have a lot of threats from all over the world from almost every continent. I like to know what is your passion of. What makes you really angry of. What's going on. Is i heard it was the border and the things that are going on under border the border. It certainly is top of mind for me. I i was at the border back in august. Senator ted cruz and congressman chip roy and and seeing what was happening down there and then you fast forward to today. You see del. Rio and tens of thousands of people trying to come across the border and i was in a hearing on an oversight last week when all of a sudden we get a letter We heard from secretary. Monarchy was asking the border patrol you know. Can we handle at four hundred thousand apprehensions in the month of october. We just had to over two hundred thousand in august and other. I'm guessing joyner k. And and september. Can we handle that in the next thirty days and and deceive that you know. They want to talk about covert and mandates and vaccinations and mass. And all this stuff. But they're letting always people come across our border they're carrying cove it right that That are not vaccinate up the forty percent of them not to mention for every person that comes across the border. They've paid five to eight thousand dollars per person to the drug cartels. We are funding The drug epidemic in this country by allowing our border to continue to be opened the way that it is today. And you know you hear stories from the vitamin ministration and vice-president and what they are and are not doing and half the time it's just complete. Bs it's an utter lie and I think every american should be upset is being invaded from the south through those borders. I've said to many of my democratic friends. Why don't we put up. Ellis island type situation In you know in arizona new mexico and texas and becky's people so we know who's coming and going. Don't you think this idea right. I mean we i. I don't know that we we that anybody right now. I was just a classified hearing on the vetting of afghan nationals and The cabinet members and members of the administration that were there. Couldn't tell us anything about the vetting process for afghan nationals. Let alone what's going on at the border. I was an a. He sloth reek on oversight about the northern border where there are less than ten thousand apprehensions a year and the woke last one to talk about woke you know issues at the northern border and we have hundreds of thousands of people comedy across illegally every single month and the fact that the left and democrats just allow this to happen I talked to democrat elected officials down at the border and republican alike. They are so irate over. What's happening. They have no mission. They have no resources and There's an assault on you. Know our country right now. Risen assaulting country and they're coming in with drugs from the southern border coming in with Fenton lace drugs for chinese cartels mexican cartels and and i understand the federal government or the white house told the federal government that tells the texas texas rangers or whatever that chris. I believe governor of texas wants to stop the borders from being so poorest i mean baseline this governor abbot. I heard that i read somewhere. It was willing to hire any border patrol agent that that gets fired right. I mean they're threatening now to fire border patrol agents that are not vaccinated during a pandemic were upwards of forty percent of illegal aliens coming across the border half kovic. It's doesn't make any sense what we're doing right now Mono resources that are wasted on this Crisis at the biden administration continues to lie about. So let's say you states rights or federal federal rights. I mean who's the congress can back. Is there any people in your your freshman congresswoman any democratic congress people realize that this is wrong well if they do realize that they're not talking about it. This is not an issue that any of them want to confront particularly moderate democrats. That may very well lose their seats in a year and a half. I think You know they're really put up against the wall Right now but they're not talking about it and instead we're talking about how there's systematic racism at the northern border with one of the most diverse federal agencies in the federal government that the customs and border patrol That's what they're talking about. They're talking about the abortion. Bill in texas at the federal government has no authority or oversight over at all rather than Talking about You know the the lives that matter When they're murdered right so it's just It's completely upside down to what we should be talking about. Meanwhile you know inflation is happening. The cost of goods are going up for everybody and inflation is taxation and were squabbling and fighting over three point five trillion dollars on top of one point two trillion infrastructure bill We're talking about the greatest tax hike in american history of this thing goes down and They're literally tearing our country apart right now and people should be should be angry on the left and the right quite frankly i solution and you're feeling well it's yeah. Of course. I mean one of the things that great things that former president trump did was a tax cuts and jobs back right when we saw taxes be reduced both or corporations small businesses and individuals in the middle class and the working class. Wages went up. Valerie's if it's the opportunity for jobs and employment went up with the lowest unemployment rate for every classification of human being on earth. That you could imagine when that happened and We've got to be the party of solutions going into the midterm cycle. We've got to say we're going to cut taxes again after the democrats raise into the spending package But also we've got to get serious about spending. We're we're having this debate. I'm going to dc and two days on tuesday to vote on the debt ceiling because of the massive spending that democrats want to do. But i don't wanna make any mistake here the debt ceiling and the spending issues. We've had over the last thirty forty. Fifty years of the problem is the problem that has started by both parties One of the reasons that were in this today because both have been out of control of spending and republicans haven't been serious about it and so. What are the solutions that were going to offer. We're going to the free spending or we're going to cut spending or we continue to do what we've always done which is put us in these situations where we are giving away our kid's futures and mortgaging them with more debt and more deficits year after year. Tongues munising mace. Thank you for coming on the round roundtable and we'll be talking to you from time to time to to see what what's going on in the pulse of what's going on in north carolina. Thank you so much coming on. Thank you sir appreciate it. This is the test roundtable right back..

"In the next break. He's gonna address some of the chaos in Congress right now, Of course, the committee voting yesterday to strip Marjorie Taylor green of her committee responsibilities. We did spend a lot of time on that today. We spent about an hour out yesterday talking to South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace, who famously called shenanigans on a docs account of what happened at the Capitol riots here is really quick. Nancy Mace on yesterday's show. You need to hear this is Cliff 18. She doesn't know my story, and I've told my story and She and I have very similar life experiences. I've told my rape story from the house for in South Carolina when out of the State House Rep. I do identify with victims and so many ways because I've been a victim, But I'm a survivor. And, um, you know, I deal in facts and reality, and the fact is, there were no insurrectionists, violent writers that were in the halls. Of the Cannon office building that day. Everyone was terrified. We were worried it was a harrowing, life threatening experience. No one questions that so is Nancy Mace, who was a great guest and all she was basically saying is the media who fawned all over AOC. After she made the Capitol Hill protest about her a moment where five people died. AOC didn't our on instagram and did her, you know, usual rendition of a O Me. Me. Me. Me? We don't doubt that She's scared and I don't want to diminish what you went through on any level. Take it very seriously because we were all horrified about what went on in the capital. But the media got behind her account of things falsely, which turned out to be false. She was not in the Capitol building. She was a 10 minute walk away in the Cannon house. Which was never breached by protesters or insurrectionists. Yet nonetheless, the media couldn't push a OSI's claim fast enough. Why? Because it plays up the threat of white ring insurgency. Here's Cliff 17. Congresswoman Alexandria A Casio Cortez has given a harrowing account of her experience on January 6th heroin and emotional account of what happened to her during the capital riot. It's one of the most harrowing accounts so far. Congresswoman Alexandra Kozel Cortez tell that heroin story the heroin.

And so they sold it and bought a I think a $12 million estate on the island next door. Martha's Vineyard because they wanted to get away from the wind from that was coming. Who wants to be? Yeah, That's so you know, Mr Gulfstream Jet. What am I supposed to do? Steal my yacht to Europe? On Do they sold the I think $18 million estate. Um, uh, Nantucket to buy an 11 $12 million estate on Martha's Vineyard, and the word is it's because that wind farm was coming and they wanted no part of it. Oh, see, now that honestly the Republic's don't have that kind of media dominance, even if they wanted to teach. Mostly they everybody laughs at AOC on Fox News and elsewhere is not a hate fest when it comes to Nancy Pelosi. It's just that we're in shock at how corrupt all of this is a O. C again. This is from this video where she She was so frightened. She was so terribly frightened. That there was a riot going on about a quarter of a mile away, and a police officer came to protect her. And she was terribly frightened because there was pounding at the door, and it was a police officer coming to protect her as a member of Congress, But she's a big victim. In all of this, I jump into my bathroom. On by close the door and I just keep hearing a bang. Bang all the sudden I hear That whoever was trying to get inside got into my office. And this was the moment where I thought everything Woz Over. She was going to die. Everything was over. It was bang Bang. It was Nancy Sinatra all over again. It was scary for me down, Bang bang. It was the Capitol police entered or providing personal security for her. My baby shot me down, and she was so frightened that she hide had to hide in the private bathroom of her private congressional office and the Cannon House office building, which, by the way, is some distance away. And, uh, what? South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace.

"Me and I'll be the first one to admit I walked by the RNC headquarters on my way to the office that morning later to find out there was a pipe bomb that was planted there. I'm not discounting any of that. That's those are very important details. That in our offices where we were, we were barricaded. Our doors were locked. We had to evacuate. Twice that day in the Capitol police came around to each office just like docs and asked us to do that for our own safety because of the threats at the DNC and the RNC. No one said that there's a bomb in front of your door. They said No, it's down the block at the RNC in the other ones down the back of the DNC. That's that's where it is. But we're still going to move. You just added an abundance of caution. Okay, second time they were done that day. I was reading some of the tweets about this reading the means I wasn't made means or phantom. Go to k f y i dot com. See some of the best AOC Alexandra Ocasio small. Let remember Jesse small at the guy the fake this attack in Chicago. So that's what a lot of people are doing on the O. C. S. We've got we gathered a bunch of those, but there was one tweet in particular stood out to me. Because a lot of people who have gone on to defend AOC on Twitter because Twitter's were snowflakes gathered. That's why they kicked trump off. And that's why they keep conservatives off, etcetera. So one of the snowflakes says, I can understand. I'm gonna paraphrase I can understand where she's coming from. I was Traumatized. My heart was pounding and I was watching on television and Arkansas. This is a generation of people of which AOC belongs to that have been told that you should never have a challenge in your life. You should never have any obstacles to overcome. But Mike and I both know you know, the on leeway to grow as a human being is to face obstacles, the on leeway to grow as human beings to hear no On leeway to grow Zabeel over overcome that know or you're not. You're not qualified for this job, or you're not gonna get this job. You figure out where you're good enough. You figure out what skills you need. You lean forward and you move on and you grow. Or you just talk like a grown up like Nancy Congresswoman Nancy Mace saying, Look, I didn't want this fight. She's pretty else. He's pretty good at this, but I want to get back to work. "On the line, and it's a hell of a price to pay. Every single day, every show on his post good up when they go by, and large, the vast vast majority of these men and women All right. Do you send one of those people put themselves on. Why way over. What would you do with a brain if you had one? Yeah, the vast vast majority of these a decent people to your to memorial. You know, you're speaking out anyway, on behalf of two people have sacrificed their lives and he's flat out saying, you know. Most of these guys were really decent people. Like maybe you do feel in your heart. That there are some problems some bad apples. Within the ranks is the moment the solemn moment. We were supposed to be saluting people who've given their lives for this country. Is that also supposed to be a soapbox toe work in your agenda of they don't get me wrong. I'm not. I'm not praising all of them. Don't get mad at me on the left. I'm not praising all of them. This is what happens when you get a career politician and you get a media who wants nothing to do with holding them accountable. But essentially, what is he doing? He's having it both ways. He's getting the credit of the Biden is, you know so emotional here, the gravity of what's going on. But at the same time, let's not forget this and dirtbags out there. That's for the Democrats. That's for the Democrats were constantly slander the police just the way you see dead If you remember this. You'll see. In her heartfelt, you know, Instagram video where she claimed. To be stuck in her office while rioters were marauding outside the door. Wrong, Okay, As it turns out, South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace, two doors down from a O. C was on our show, and she flat out, said No. They never breached the building. We were According to her math of 5 to 7 minute walk away from the breach at the Capitol 3/10 of a mile away. She was never near the rioters that being said she still went on and, you know Long speech impassioned plea on Instagram to impeach Donald Trump. She invoked the fact that she had been sexually assaulted, which, you know we're not gonna touch guy working Fox News. I'm not taking the bait of Questioning the validity of anything, she said. I have people in my family have been sexually assaulted. It's something I take very seriously, but what she's trying to do. Nancy Mace is say that Nancy Mace, who she herself is a sexual assault survivor, has no empathy for survivors. She doesn't know what it's like to be one of them, and she's saying that Nancy Mace. Is attacking the very police who protected them at the Capitol that day. By calling into question a OSI's account of events. She just said that she's saying that on Twitter right now, you calling into my account of what went on in the capital is an attack on the people who protected us this from the woman who attacked the people who protected them like that. Come on, listen to this clip from a house, a talking about the cop who comes into the room. And this is crazy. This is clip nine. So deeply rattled. I'm still processing took my life when I come out on guy come out. This man is a Capitol police officer. Story doesn't end. Um, it's a Capitol police officer. There was no partner. Was not yelling. You know, Capitol police, etcetera, etcetera. But then what? But then it didn't feel right because he was looking at me with a tremendous amount of anger and hostility. That was absolutely dreadful. So she's on Twitter. Saying how? How dare she? She's attacking the police by saying I'm lying. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, your lie is an attack on the police. Something didn't look right. We're not safe with the cops around. That's what she said. Listen, a clip 11. This is bananas Clip 11, Like so many other communities in this country, like just that presence doesn't necessarily give you a clear signal if you're safe or not. And so the situation did not feel okay. And then he just looks at me and yells at me, and he just goes. Go down and go to this other building. Um, I'm not gonna like name the specific building, but he basically says, go down and go to this building, but he just says the name of the building. Doesn't say anything else. But we're so rattled in that moment, and he the situation felt so volatile with this officer that I run over. I grabbed my bag and we just start running over to that building. So that's a oh say, slandering the cops. You know, Having a cop around doesn't make you feel safe. Like a lot of communities. I feel less safe in the presence of police because that's part of this narrative there invent they're advancing on the left with no basis in fact. That the police are just out there indiscriminately killing people. The police doing the most important job in society. The troops do the most important jobs in society. We owe them our thanks. We owe them our gratitude, but we also owe them some conversational integrity. When you have to choose between advancing a political agenda. Making a tragedy at the Capitol all about you is a OSI did okay. Five people died that day. But she wants the focus to be on herself who thought she might die. Now, To be honest, I don't dismiss her fear because, as Nancy may set on the show they were in fear. Nancy Mace has tweeted that she said it in every interview. She's done. Of course they were in fear. I don't know what the heck was going on. But if you're gonna go out there and tell us, the other rioters were stampeding outside your door. You're hiding in the closet, and then we find out that's not true. No one is dismissing fear. No one is saying the capital protest of riots didn't happen. What they're saying is you're trying to play this up for a little more cloud on your own end. But in the process you're now defending the same cops. You're attacking in your video. You're so dumb. You're really.

It's more or less where his numbers have been throughout most of his presidency in our poll just right now on the lower end, 52% do say President Trump is solely or mainly responsible for the capital Riot. 47% disagree. That Actually, Matt basically matches the popular vote election results and looking at the election, while 61% say Joe Biden won legitimately Only 35% disagree among Republicans, 74% say no that Biden did not win Legitimately, three and four current Republicans. So two things stand out to us this morning. One. How can Joe Biden begin healing the country when more than one of three voters believes he did not win legitimately? And two The Republicans who say impeachment would further divide this country. Might start closing that divide themselves by admitting what they've known all along. President Trump lost this election and that the reason millions of Trump voters believe it's stolen is because Mr Trump with the help of many of his party, Purposely lied to them. Let's check in with NBC News Justice correspondent Pete Williams. He's joining us now. He's got the latest on the investigation in the capital riot. But Pete I know you have some new information about the fears possible attacks on state capitals. Many Of these capitals are bracing for this as early as today. How vulnerable are we today? Well, I think the concern is is high for the violence of state capitals for three reasons, first because of the enormous volume of calls on social media among extremists. Attacks on government buildings in many states, second because of a worry that with high level of security here in Washington, any group intending on attacking the government will go somewhere else and third Because the FBI fears that the attack on the Capitol may actually embolden the hard core of groups that are pushing for more violence. So in at least eight states governors have activated the National Guard and barriers have been set up around many.

Thank you, Charlie. I'm Kevin. So really, and we are following multiple developments this evening, including the Unveil of President Electro. Biden's $1.9 trillion Economic stimulus bill. But Washington D C. A totally different city tonight as 20,000 troops have arrived in Washington, D C to protect the nation's capital ahead of The inauguration next week. I'm joined by Congresswoman Nancy Mace. She is a Republican from South Carolina's first congressional district. Congresswoman. Thank you so much for making the time for our program. What is it like to be an elected official this week in Washington? With with such a heavy troop presence and the city looking entirely differently than it did just a week ago. Have fun real. In fact, I never ever thought I would see. I've never seen anything like it and the heightened awareness that we all have their many members of Congress that have received rest of the last few days and weeks. And we've had threats to our capital. Obviously, the violence of last secret five people died. I've never seen anything like it. And I hope to never see anything like the destruction we saw on the sex ever again. Do you feel congresswoman? That The nation's capital and state capitals around the country are protected on Right? Well, certainly the U. S. Capitol is more projected today than it ever has been very sadly. It's heartbreaking for me to see 20,000 troops. They're trying to protect our capital. There are threats on our capital as I am sure that there are threats on other State capitals across the country. It's just it's uh I never thought I was seething like it's heartbreaking TOC. This is where we are a country but the divisiveness that's been going on and last Wednesday, the sixth was not the first time we've seen violence this year. We've seen it all across the country, and I gave my first speech on the floor yesterday and pleading with my colleagues, both on both sides of the aisle. Republicans and Democrats to take a deep breath. Take a step back and one acknowledged that we have a problem with divisiveness of this country. We have a problem with rhetoric. Recognize we have a problem. The number to take responsibility. War. What's transpired over the last few months and last week on the six especially been holding my My party accountable, holding the president accountable very strongly over the last 10 days and then third stop being part of the problem and start being part of the solution. We have real challenges in this country. On top of covert our economy, getting people back to work in their kids back to school. We need to be able to focus on those issues so we can recover from this pandemic so people Can get back to work and we can educate our Children. But instead we've been distracted by the violence that's in our nation's capital, and it's it's so disheartening to see and I want to be part of the solution and that part of the problem, Congressman May she voted against impeaching President Trump. But you also have been incredibly critical of President Trump and saying and saying that he bears responsibility. What should the consequences be? What? But what should the consequences be for his actions? Yeah, well, my issue with impeachment is number one. The house has every right to impeach the president of the United States and I do hold on accountable and responsible for the events that transpired on the sixth of January. But the problem with the impeachment that was done this week is How political it Wasit throughout due process and Nomar other how guilty you think someone is if we set the precedent that there is no due process. That's a terrible precedent precedent to set in a country that respects the rule of law. And so it Secondly, impeachment wanted to get to the U. S Senate until the 19th of January by being sworn in on the 20th. So what have we accomplished here? There was a bipartisan bicameral effort to censure. The president to hold him accountable, potentially prohibit him from the resolutions that I read prohibit him from holding office again, and that was supported by Republicans and Democrats in both chambers, But Speaker Pelosi Wouldn't have any of it. She wouldn't bring it up to the floor for debate or a vote or anything. And so that to me was also telling that in future with more political than practical, and there was another option on the table, and it was just entirely ignored. So what should the consequence be? Now that he has been impeached at the Senate is likely going to take it up? What do you hope happens in the end in the judicial process, Congresswoman Mace? In the Senate. I know you're in the house. But what do you What do you think The best course of action should be No. Regardless right now, when the Senate does pick it up, I hope that matters your investigative forced extent of the law. And also not, and not only is that the president of the United States, but there are other members of Congress and folks that spoke at the rally that have incited violence with their language. The last several weeks and the election. I think everyone that was potentially involved and incited this riot should be investigated to the fullest extent of the law. That's very important. To this country to our democracy. Congresswoman Nancy Mace is with us. She's a Republican from South Carolina's first congressional district, newly elected into Congress. Imagine that starting a new job, and this is the first time that I started a new job. Exactly. She is the she graduated Magnum cum Lauda from the Citadel, the military colleges, South Carolina and, of course, she was the first Female to graduate.

"A Bloomberg business Flash. Thanks, Charlie. I'm Kevin surly, Chief Washington correspondent for Bloomberg Television. And for Bloomberg Radio. We begin tonight with a big story, and it is President elect Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion Economic stimulus plan. Let's dive into the Bloomberg terminal and just get right to the top line of you. President elect Joe Biden will seek to increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour as part of his $1.9 trillion pandemic relief bill, a move that could complicate its passage through the closely divided U S Senate. Meanwhile, he is also calling for there to be $350 billion in state aid and $160 billion for vaccines and more testing again. President elect Joe Biden's $1.9 Trillion Pandemic relief package includes lifting the minimum wage to $15 an hour and $350 billion in state aid. $160 billion for vaccines. I'm joined by my colleague, large Davison Bloomberg tax in Congress, reporter Laura Break down the details. This is basically twice the size of that stimulus package We saw pass in December. And remember this is a fight is opening bid to the Congress, many Republicans and Democrats to pass this so some of those things you have $350 billion in in state aid $15 minimum wage. Those are things that we're likely to see Republicans chip away as they come to a final agreement here. Some other things there, that a really big in this goes $2000 checks. Basically what Democrat what blindness Proposing here is they said, Look, we got 600 last till you get 1400. This time. They're also looking at expanding unemployment benefit. So that December stimulus bill put them through mid March. They're calling to put that through the end of September, so people have a little bit more cushion there. On as unemployment remains low. Laura, We've been also look Lar. Would there be another stimulus check for families? Yeah. Yeah, that would be that $1400 check that could go out. You know, as soon as Congress were to pass this bill, you know, last time they got those payments out. You know what? It isn't just a couple days of President Trump's signing that into law they could do the same. This time, you know by the administration is as eyeing February or march for passage for this film. Laura, stay with us. I want to bring into this conversation, Jeannie. Sean is a know who is in Iona College professor and a Bloomberg Politics contributor. She is also the author of American Democracy and Crisis. Jeannie. You know, we're talking with Laura Davis and our colleague about what's in president. Electro binds plan coming up. We're going to check in with Congresswoman Nancy Mace, and Republicans like Congresswoman Mace are gonna have a hard time voting. Raised the minimum wage and you know it's going to be a fascinating debate that this country's gonna have about the minimum wage. Yeah, absolutely. And I was fascinated when Laura said, you know, I think the $15 minimum wage. Also, she mentioned the 350 billion for state aid. Because, of course, this is something that just a few weeks ago. It seems a long time ago now. The Republicans have been barking and that had held up passage of the last bill. The amount of state aid so you know, I think those two things are just the tip of the iceberg. And Laura, I would love to ask you. Who do you think Biden has to watch in terms of moderate defectors? You know, I think you know Joe Manchin. Is that the top of the list? Of course. But are there other potential moderate Democrats that he could lose on something? This sort of and vicious You know, there's there's several could watch her young. Anyone who's been kind of big on the deficit here could be an issue are facing, you know, tough reelections in states like Ohio or You know elsewhere that this is really being issue. The other thing too to consider is that he also has been negotiating with Republicans. Really the issue of getting on. You know, 10 Republicans is do you keep your progressive happy? You're Bernie Sanders. You're Elizabeth Warren's. If you're scaling back a lot of these, you know the $15 minimum wage That's been a rallying cry for for Bernie Sanders for many years, you know? Are you able to keep them on board or do they see this as the opportunity to finally get some of these more progressive policies pulled together and they decided to withhold their vote, and that makes it a Super tricky balancing act for Biden going forward. It was so difficult to see how long it took for lawmakers to get the last round of economic stimulus passed across the finish line, Large Davis and just making a brilliant point in terms of the Republicans who are concerned about the national debt, we've got sound on the economy earlier today from Fed Chairman Jay Powell and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said that he was optimistic. About the U. S economy over the next couple of years when he spoke at Princeton University earlier, But he and his colleagues said that they still believe that they're going to have to Continued to keep interest rates near zero at least through 2023. We've got sound on the serious We're no longer going to to raise interest rates just because, for example, if unemployment were to be well below again, well below. Our current estimates of the natural rate of unemployment. That wouldn't be a reason to raise interest rates unless we see Troubling inflation or other imbalances. Adam Goodman is also with us. He is a Republican media strategist, columnist and partner of Ballard Partners in Washington. D. C. Adam. I mean, will folks in your party be able to Vote on a $1.9 trillion stimulus. Or is this just a No way? No. How votes. Well, I do think there's going to be a vote that will be supported by Republicans as well as Democrats on Stamos. But 60 can't get Genie's question was point on about You know which which one's the watch. Basically, that may hold the balance of power in terms of whether this moves forward or not, But look at this way that there were two different kinds of propositions in Congress. One is what I call gestures and gambits, which is throw something out there and show where your heart is. Not really expecting that That's going to be the final play, or, you know things that really are priorities to pass as it so the $15 minimum wage. That to me is a is a gesture and a gambit in terms of work. Democrats would like to move. But I don't think there's a realistic chance if they want to have Republicans joining this package on Samos that that itself is going to hold water, as opposed to the $2000, which obviously even I'm Donald Trump was trying to push in the last days of the last team, so I think we're gonna have a stimulus package. I think it's it's gonna be more directed two individuals that have been the last one was which is really good and important news but the minimum wage and other things I think those air are opening arguments. About where philosophically as you know the Democrats in particular in the House and Senate with like America to move, But I don't think bottom line. They expect passage. Yeah, and it's It's so fascinating because listening to you, it's a reminder. I think to all of us that, unlike the current president, Joe Biden knows Congress. He knows the Senate. So when you're talking about you know this opening gambit, this trial balloon You know, you know, pushing out what he would hope to get, but not what he actually may expect..

Congress has certified the results and new administration will be inaugurated on January. 20th. My focus now turns to ensuring a smooth, orderly and seamless transition of power. Trump released that video statement today denouncing yesterday's mob assault on the Capitol and calling for calm and unity. One of the representatives Having to duck and cover yesterday was newly elected Congresswoman Nancy Mace of South Carolina, and she talked about it with a B C's Aaron Carter ski well, the previous to January 6. Previously yesterday I was receiving a lot of very negative feedback because I Stated last week that I would certify the electoral college votes yesterday. It's a largely January 6th during a after a presidential election. This boat is that usually a very ceremonial vote. This is an administrative procedure. Um and the Constitution dictates that the states have the right to send their electors to Congress. And when there's not a contested election on this Electoral college slate. Congress has a duty by the Constitution to certify the election, and that's what we were asked to do. That was what our oath to the Constitution required us to do. And some folks very upset and it doesn't It doesn't matter what is written in the Constitution. People don't want certain people don't want to hear the truth. And I promised my constituents I would tell the truth always, but I will tell you There was a change in sentiment today from the calls that we were we were getting, um, I believe that the temperature of folks that there has been a current change on their reaction from people today seeing the image and the images and the violence on TV I've been very strong within my convictions in the last 24 hours trying to, But as many people know it's possible that they've been please Millions of Americans are like you. They were told that the vice president could overturn the Electoral College on a limp, They were told that Congress could turn the overturned the electoral college by a simple objection. I mean, that's that's not the way this process works and thank God we had the founding fathers who put our our Constitution. Together in such a way where we have checks and balances on the institution on our elections. There's no way that you can adjudicate voter fraud in an hour long debate on the floor of the U. That was raised on voter fraud. Biden will raise our taxes if he has no check and balance and it's in it all, unfortunately, rests on the On the Senate races in Georgia right now, so there's nothing more important than this election on January sets, and my understanding is to al that early voting starts today, and it's all on the line. I am encouraging everyone, no matter how how angry folks are about what happened a few weeks ago in November That weak turnout are voters that we get out and vote and and if you can ship in a dollar $100. You can go to G a battleground dot com that is the Senate Senatorial Committee, helping both candidates. Do everything that they need to do to win, and it's quote. I didn't think it would ever be this close in its razor thin in Georgia. Well, it is riser. Stan and I are non France. Stacey Abrams has been saying, We've got 85,000 you voters registered. We are and they're all young people 18 to 29 or people of color, and they're going to vote for us off and for war noch So she's out there. Gloating also gloating. We've got 1 to $1.2 million from 1.2 million absentee ballots that have been requested and controlling controlling those events as they unfold on January. 5th is going to be difficulty in, at least in my opinion. Right and anything that that that worries me is, you know some of these states and I George is probably included that they haven't perched their voter rolls where we saw dead people voting. We saw people voting in multiple states. We had states where ballots were sent in mass. And I'm really lucky to live in a state like South Carolina, where We typically don't allow everybody to vote absentee for any reason. We made certain modifications because a cove it but you had ever witnessed signature on your absentee ballot. You have to have a voter. I d when you vote. Those things are important that we ensure that that folks who can cast illegal ballot Do so in those that cannot should not and and.
