"Is the phone number your calls your text, You can find me on Facebook. It's man's, you know, on Katie K. I want to give you an opportunity to be able to call in and talk about what we've been discussing. So far. This issue of Leadership that we have a complete void of Within the Republican Party. Leadership that will tell people what they don't necessarily want to hear. Even though it's true. There are some that are willing to do that. Mitt Romney. Is one that's willing to do that. And SAS. Another senator willing to do that? That to me. Willing to do that. Even Lindsey Graham finally came around to admitting that everything he's been doing for the past. Two months and defending the president and even a part of that phone call to, uh, officials in Georgia about the 11,000 plus votes that the president was wanted to find. It's finally had enough is enough. You know why enough was enough because they thought they could control Everything they thought everybody was just going toe have rhetoric. That's all. It was just going to be talk. Nobody would really respond physically. It was just I'll say something outlandish, and then you say something outlandish, and then we'll get more people to make more donations and think about it. I mean the amount of money that Trump was able to raise in this legal defense fund. Hundreds of Millions of dollars. Ted Cruz even went so far as to try to piggyback on the race and Georgia to make himself money on this. It wasn't worried about getting money into the hands of those who would hold Senate seats and Georgia He saw the political opportunity. Oh, my goodness. I can run ads on social media and Georgia and get money into my coffers. This is what they were thinking about. They were posturing themselves. They saw that Trump was able to tap into a base with loyalty that they've never experienced before, and they wanted it for themselves. They saw that Trump lost the election. They knew that Trump lost the election. They knew that there wasn't fraud on the scale that would overturn any state, let alone all the states that would have been necessary. They knew But they got power hungry. They saw that basin. They want it for themselves. They saw how willing and how devoted these people were that they were not going to go anywhere. And they thought we know what if I can show myself to be a great supporter of Trump. Maybe they'll transfer all that love back to me, and they'll give me that money and they'll vote for me in those numbers, and then I can be the come the next president like a Lindsey Graham or a Ted Cruz or even this Holly guy. Then you had members of Congress that we're thinking they could be a U. S. Senator someday. They could parlay this. They'll go ahead and toy and play with these people. Know that they were deceiving Trump supporters. They knew what they were doing. Think Irish and told her nose What he was doing. Congressman Kelly knew What he was has been doing all this time. He was trying to tap into the base. They both were. For their own political fortunes. They thought that it was just talk. It's just rhetoric. People are just going to go and they'll go to a rally and they'll chant some things, you know, Lock her up, lock him up that kind of stuff, and but they'll vote. That I'm not sure maybe they thought they would never come to what it came to yesterday. And now there are concerns in D. C that there are those who are going to be planning another attack. They should have thought about it, though. They should have realized that Overwhelmingly. Trump's supporters. Are just people. They're just people who go to work every day, and they see themselves as Just you know, they're trying to raise a family taking care of the kids and taking care of the mortgage and the business and That's it. Good, decent people. But they didn't They don't know what they forgot. About the radicals. That they're in the far right. That don't see it. The way the mainstream does. That saw this as an opportunity for themselves to do what They've been wanting to be able to do. I mean, you're buying into these conspiracy theories long enough. You think about something else, too? For those that genuinely believe that your country is being stolen from you. Is it really going too far to storm the capital? If you really believe that? If you really believe That there's an unlawful taking in an election. And the person who should be president isn't president because Trump's having it stolen from him? And the country the way we know it is being ripped apart and out of their very hands because of fraud and deceit. How outrageous is it to go to the very next step that okay, we're going to storm the capital. Would take the country back. I'm just thankful it didn't turn more violent than it did. I'm thankful that There weren't shots fired on the from the protest side. More people weren't hurt. Thankfully. But you cannot continue with this idea of throwing out these statements and they're not expecting anybody to respond to them at all. And just say what? Why didn't mean any of this? I I didn't know. Doesn't work that way. It just doesn't I'm hoping That.

"It's not that I'm Irish Catholic. There was never belly that or anything but a blue shirt to work and I gotta tell you, it was really amazing to see what's going on. Now. That party has left Traditional Democrats. Please understand your party is no longer your party. This is a socialist Communist group of people that don't believe and what we've always believed in. And that is the president Doesn't Trump's America first. Let's do it right for America first. It's great a Congress we kill you like I am a swell like I think, folks kind enough to listen to us this morning is that you're just what all you want to do It just you just work and always do the right thing. And then when you see something wrong, like, oh, people of taking votes in a suitcase from underneath a card table, you know, in Georgia or scanning or not allowing they weren't allowing Corey Lewandowski. Or a PM balmy into the offices and fill it up. They wouldn't allow it. How in the name of God, do they let this go? They think we're dumb Congressman Kelly. You know they think we're done, but how they allowed to happen. And I just We are puzzled this that there's such a good portion of America. That and supporting the president is one thing and we do We know that But we're just puzzled why they won't acknowledge what the evidence we're seeing. Clears They on television, sir. I'm with you before. We're Democrats and Republicans were American, and I think that the whole chest of this was what if you're going to stoop to these kinds of illegal votes? Win elections, and you're not the people that should be here and you represent them. That's horrible. It's so true. Hey, congressman, we know Do you know about the Texas lawsuit? Anything about now We know that there's other states joining this Texas lawsuit. At least that's going to the Supreme Court and the inside line on that congressman, Or are you just concentrating on your lawsuit? That you you're dealing with concentrating on Pennsylvania right now, But I'm glad to Texas came forward. You know, Joe, and then we lost him. Comes dancing well, do you have standing? What does that means? You have a reason to be doing this legal action. That's assuming somebody now the next 77 in Pennsylvania. They said they think the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, which is a five to court D Court. You guys waited too long to come here. You needn't come here before that. We can't see somebody until you're harmed. So you're telling us that we should come here? But I think they're gonna do something illegal. We want food. And they say that everything that was great, But I was so filly. That was something that was so today. I heard you say that before I was so true where they go? No, he should have been here before we got there before they have to say now that there's nothing here. I don't see anything. It's unbelievable What we see, Congressman we listen. We appreciate your fight. We appreciate you and I gotta tell you this to Mike Kelly, if I may, you know, so we opened this retro fitness in Bethlehem. Right in Bethlehem Pencil. Great town, you know, beautiful town. But now that the spike here despite their and this guy, Governor Wolf he's harder to work with. And Governor Murphy in Jersey. This guy, I mean, and I respectfully I say to the governor of Pennsylvania. But this is something that it's that machine. You know, It's a secretary of state. It's that machine that is all throughout the Keystone State. And here you're you're in the middle of a trying to fight it. God bless you for what you're doing, Congressman, you know Now. Do you know what you're saying? There's no way we're walking away from this. This is the future of our country. And if this is allowed to stay and my goodness it is over for us. As far as being a representative republic with fair and free election. This has been games so badly and people say, Well, can you prove that I could stop that stuff? Don't give me that crap. Can you prove it? I won't do that as a kid growing up and something will go wrong. Yeah, I know. You can't prove it, Can you? You know what we are going to prove it. We have hundreds and hundreds of affidavits signed by people were on the ground and watching this go on. They're they're being looked at, and I think Joe's weaker one. I'm hoping that the fact that you you shed more light on what happened this election. American people at the end of the day will always do the right thing for the right reason, because that is the way we operate in America. God bless you, Congressman Kelly. And what's the next step before we let you go, sir? The next step for you regarding the Supreme Court, sir. Well, if you know we're going to see how the court now he goes from here on we were hoping you get the temporary injunction. We didn't get that overseeing on until all it takes is four justices on the Supreme Court to say this is a case worth hearing. So what? Where what We're hoping and praying for, And so I'm one member in the mess Right now, my friends give me about lighting candles. I'd like every single candle in America like now and played it straight with the Lord and he looks and any brains would listen to the Supreme Court to say. This is your time to step up and do the most important thing that we've seen in generations, and it lights up our heart. Geiger's whatever actually been a representative. In the House of Representatives actually goes to church. Not only that lights a candle. God bless you for that. Mike Kelly. Hey, Congressman. Thanks for the fight, Mike. "A year ago. Congressman Kelly A. Butler P A represents eery, one of President Trump's Republican strongholds. It was the first request to delay or overturn the results of the presidential election to reach the high court. And it appears says, though, Justice Amy Cody Barrett, Mr. Trump's latest nominee, took part in the case since there were no dissents and no recusals noted. Philadelphia Flowers show may not die on the vine during Cove it we'll have more on that. After traffic and weather on the tubes. Let's check those roads for you and check in with Kyrie Moses. All right, Steve. Lots of frustration tonight South on 95 barely moving comment to the approach of bridge. This is because only one lane is getting by Now. Once you get through that it opens up a little bit. And then traffic stopped at the Betsy Ross Bridge as they set up more roadwork in the left lane. Now they're starting to let traffic through again. But you're very slow through this. So it is not a fun commute at all on the South. Downside of 95 will get to North bound in just a minute. "Phil's E. J heard on once in your mind 21 after the hour till eventually got handed off today, But rawness is here and what's in your mind? Well, thanks, Todd. We're going to wrap up this half hour with Congressman Kelly Armstrong and we've got a number of text questions here on Measure three, Kelly, but first and foremost the most important thing of Ah, I think of your fall. Kelly is you've got a daughter with a second year dough tag. And your wife has just taken her hunter safety course and passed and she has a deer take and your young son I bet he's so fired up to go with Mom and his sister and help them harvest to dear this fall. And the most fun I've ever had was, I think ever hunting was with my daughter last year when she got her first white tell Doe it was it. You know, I grew up with that. My dad. My dad's friend's taking me hunting and that'll be interesting. I'm not sure I'll get my wife to do it or not. She did Hunter safety, which I'm glad he's dead. I'm not going to push her into it. But having having the whole family out out out there, sit in a deer blind is about the best thing. The best thing I can think of. That makes me love North, a coda. Well, I think those were the greatest successes as a as a hunter and a sportsman is on getting your kidney. You kids out there and get them fired up about whether or not That use program really should be celebrated the game and fish has done a great job because if we love this heritage, and we love what we do, getting getting getting young people into the outdoors is good for the young people, but it's also good for what we love. Well, I was in the Legislature. I was around the legislature those years and the guy sitting on my left representative Todd Porter, I think is probably more responsible for getting those youth seasons. Move down. Take ages where those kids can still be interested before they move on to other things in life. So, Kelly, let's talk about Measure three. I've got Ah, whole host of text here, and I know you're pretty passionate about this issue. And I'll just I'll just start on these text questions of fifth year. Okay, Without who's really behind this measure. There's a local group out front. It seems to be out front, but who's really behind this? And what do they want? Yet it the local group is an Astor to organization, 99% of their funding comes from groups like Fair Vote. Both smart Go look at who the people who funded those organizations are and then look at what else they support across the country. They do not have the North Dakota's best interests at heart. They just simply don't they don't like who we elect. They don't like how we conduct business. They can't win in a free and fair elections, so they're trying to change the way we do it that simple. They're trying to change who we elect and how we govern the state of North Dakota. And I think that should scare anybody that outside groups can come in here and try and change how we do things here. There was a lawsuit filed last week by other brighter future alliance alleging that they didn't tell signatories on this at the post office in the grocery stores. All the facts when they were when they were signing it. What do you What do you see on that one? Well, I know they were lying to people. The only thing they were talking to him about what? Ah, one minor section That doesn't really matter all that much about extending overseas veterans, the ability to vote. We have the easiest found access in North Dakota, and we have the easiest voting access to dark Dakota. But I think the lawsuit has it. Because they fight the century code outside of bad law. I don't know why you would have the century code in the North Dakota Constitution, but they don't cite the underlying text to the century code. That's what the legal challenges and if you don't fight the underlying text, and the Legislature can change the Constitution anytime they want just by changing that. That's terrible public policy, and I hope the lawsuit prevails. Kelly one of the little hidden items, and this measure is ranked choice. Voting something that most of us were to go to had never heard of. Before. We saw it come out after this petition was certified. Yeah, I don't think it's hidden. I think it's their number one goal. You combine that, with moving for people, nonpartisan to the general and ranked choice voting and the easiest way I can explain rain choice voting. If you have to legitimate candidates on one or he sighed, and you have to grievance candidate on the same side like that, and nobody gets 40 or nobody gets to 50 50% because you sent four to the ballot, the grievance candidates get to vote. Because one of them will come off. And then whoever the people that voted for the grievance candidates second choices they will determine who wins the election. So let me make that clear. If you have a socialist on the ballot that get 10% of the vote, whoever the Socialist voted for seconds Will determine who wins the election. I've been in North Dakota politics for a long time. Our problem isn't isn't that we don't have enough check choices. When is the last time we have seen Ford, truly legitimate candidate for any office in North Dakota would be the first state in the country to do it..

"To fit your lifestyle and your budget by shopping the one and only used cars Superstore Schwann Buick GMC Reward to last A lifetime. Schwab, you're TMC dot com Former conversation with Congressman Kelly Arms Well, he's doing a masterful job here of laying out the case against Measure three. But more importantly, peeling back the onion a little bit in the layer to see what's behind. What's what is this? Because again, this is a group of people who, you know, scour North Dakota saying, Do you want veterans? Do you want Teo Long Military to build a boat? Give them more time to vote when their overseas hello? Unbelievable Course we do. But they're playing game. What are they doing three or four different things on about measure and they only talk about one, which is a minor thing, which is which is without a doubt A solution in search of a problem. That's exactly what it is, but they think it's a good tagline. They're going to spend a lot of money on it in North Dakota. They had some success two years ago on on the ethics measure, and they're going to continue to do this every two years. Because here's the bottom line, it costs less money to change the Constitution in North Dakota than it does to be on air in a city like San Francisco for a weekend. And that is that is the world we live in. That is the that is the world we live in. So out of state groups have figured out that they could They get a very good return on their investment. If they can come into North Dakota and get these measures passed. And they're not doing it because they like the way it's governed right now. So this is the game. They come to North Dakota because they can they can accomplish their goals here. Big checks written elsewhere. Just part of their grand plan. They're always a step ahead. But it only works when you signed our petitions to change the Constitution, and ultimately, it gets passed. It's a lie. Right, Kelly. They lie about who they are, and they lie, and they lied to people while they were gathering the signatures, and that's not me saying it. I mean they were getting these counters that they don't talk about the other things that are in the measure. One should ask themselves that question. I think that has the best. I think that's been the effect in places where it's existed. And by the way, this isn't always a Democrat versus Republican issues. Cities who have done this nut Nonpartisan elections and local communities who want to decide to do that. That's up to them. But it has that effect, but I think really, what it is is doing and I think I mean in the state of purpose and follow the money of the people to donate to this and then look at the other things they don't know. It is about taking away North Dakota business and North Dakota communities to support and deal with their candidates and mean taking all of those types of influences, which they hate. So bad. I mean, we're going to talk. I'm assuming about Fischer Industries. Later, Democrats called for me to return. Return the donation to a company from my hometown. That's the type of thing they want. They want to take that part of the equation out of it. I would rather get 25 checks from Fargo, North Dakota than I mean, and from people. I said, people that support me and you've known me my whole life. Whether it's Fargo, whether it's Dickinson or whatever, and they want to take that influence out of Yes. You just need to know what's happening here. Buying this seems like Kelly's doing a great job. We need more to. AH, more light, more sunshine, more disinfectant. Really on this whole measure three effort. It's I wish we didn't have to take the time to do it. They lied to get the signatures but doesn't look like there's a lot to do other than defeated at the ballot box. Come November. Can't have Kelly here and not talk about the Dakota access pipeline if it would shut down. What would that mean? Well, if they shut down the pipeline in North Dakota, it's going to fundamentally alter the state budget and fundamentally altered the oil patch in the entire state for a very significant period of time. You know, we've had a lot of conversations with people about during the last oil boom about trucks on the road to many rail cars on the rails prior to having pipeline access code access pipeline moose, 40% of the oil out of North Dakota. And the best case scenario, If this thing is shut down is that we have more trucks on the road and more railcars on the rails. Worst case scenario is we just the companies have no incentive. Tio restart these wells and deal with that, And this is not just the Dickinson issue. This is not an oil company issue. This is not a Watford City issue. Anybody in North Dakota? Who cares about public services, social services, school funding, Fargo diversion. Flood protection should care very much about this because on August 6th, even with this stay, I mean, we have a lot of companies that don't know where they're going to sell 40% of the oil that comes out of North Dakota. Think about that that again dramatic impact. Ah, lot of work was done to get Riggs in place and get things ramp back up with $40 oil. Did that stop dead in his tracks. Based on this decision, I think we're down to either 10 or nine rigs operating in North Dakota and one frak crew right now, and there's a lot of different things in play. There's pre covert problems. There were obviously the cove. It has had a lot of effect with that, but we have to also remember this. We're not just competing against low oil prices. There are not a lot of companies that drill into shale rock. They mean there just aren't I think they're drilling budgets in the next couple of years are probably gonna be a little smaller than they were in the last couple of years, given what's going on in the entire industry and if they if they have uncertainty and how they're going to transport their oil and there and what the discount on that oil is going to be. We're not just competing against that we're competing about where they're going to spend their capital to drill. And that means competing with the Permian. I mean, I love my friends from Texas, but I'd rather we were drilling oil wells here. Kelly Armstrong. We also talked about the fissure industries and the Roll. I talked a little about that yesterday as well. And Kelly, of course, because he's from Dickinson because he's friends with Tommy Fisher than the Democrats Love to play the game. Are you going to turn back your donation? Now that you got from him? Because, you know It is so ridiculous. I want Democrats to sign a petition that says if they're ever elected, they'll never lift a finger for anybody in North Dakota. They'll never helping North Kyoto business get more business. Who in their right mind is know what you send members of Congress their You know, it's unbelievable the standard that they expect people to live do it really, really is, but appreciate Kelly appreciate more of the conversation. The whole thing will put up. Scotty on Facebook page, a zealous what's on your mind Facebook page links on Twitter as well. So you can hear more of that because we have much more of that conversation on the program. Her breathing was perfectly fine shoes. You know, she was back to normal, just perfectly fine. But of course, that she was in the E R. They tested her for covert. Well, then, two days later. He called my wife up and said, Hey, Sophie tested positive for Cove it so as a result, Uh, you need to go in quarantine her for 14 days, you know, put her in the basement in a room in the basement away from everybody. And nobody in the house should have any contact with her for 14 days. You know the and what is so insane about that is you know, Scott, if you look at it, you know, before this whole coverted, you know that be child abuse. You would be locked up for that. And here you got, you know, North Dakota State officials telling you this is what you're supposed to be doing it just to save, you know, but anyway, like the worst I came down with was a runny nose. My little girl. She got a fever for one day. My wife got a fever for half a day, but she lost her sense of taste and smell for two weeks. Um you know, my one guy. He came down with a fever for three days. The other guy, Um, you know, it was basically a fever for a couple days. You know nothing worse than More or less the common flu, you know, and and and for that we are destroying our economy, scaring the living daylights out of people and wrecking businesses and lively hoods and everything else and look The fellow that died with diabetes. That's sad, But guess what? There were other things because death as well. The regular flu, right? I mean, hey, was in a vulnerable position and anybody in that anybody in that category? They are where the focus belongs. They should not be out. They should be in a room in a basement, being very, very sure that they're not getting this not everyone else. You know, and they're always going, Teo. You know, uh, make the numbers higher. So basically at 10,506 people, people in Bismarck are literally going to die from the cold. You know in that cat I don't want anybody to die. But to go on shut the only economy and killed businesses, which you know how many people have committed suicide because either they're stuck at home, not making money or they can pay their bills. All right, so Congressman Kelly Armstrong and I sat down yesterday We have a full interview up on our website that you can see as well with the the video of this interview, But I'm gonna play some highlights today that are very important. I think for you to hear, and one of them is on measure three. Measure three again. We talked about it earlier on the ballot. In North Dakota Congressman Kelly Armstrong. What do we need to know about it? What do we need to know Specifically about measures start with North Dakota has the easiest ballot access of any kind of any state in the country. We have the easiest voting access. We're the only state in the country without voter registration. It is legitimately the easiest place to get on the ballot in the easiest place to vote in the whole countries. The one has to ask yourself why are out of state special interest groups coming in and trying to change our elections? I think when you start with that question, and more importantly, then why are they lying about how there gathering their signatures? You know they they market themselves as AH, Grassroots organization in North Dakota. It's the absolute definition of an Astro turf. Organization. The funding comes from out of state groups who are targeting conservative states all over the country to change the way they do elections, and the short version of this is very simple. Bring in California Election law to North Dakota. That's what they're doing, and they're marketing it as making it easier for our military to vote. I spent three years as the State Party chairman and been involved in politics long before that we allow the veterans for our well our active duty military 46 days to vote the differences. They can request the ballot whenever they want. I have never had a viable complaint from any military person about access to voting, whether they're deployed out of state or overseas or anywhere, And you know how I know that because if I would, I would have got on it immediately. This is a fake part of the measure because they want it. They want to get into allowing unelected bureaucrats to redistrict, North Dakota, But more importantly, they want to bring rank choice voting to our to our election process. Tell me what I need to know about Rank choice. Voting is essentially taking away one person. One vote. That's the easiest way to describe it. You can vote for as many people on the ballot as you want. North Dakota has the convention process. I love the convention process. Even though we have competitive primaries here and there..

"Kelly Republican representing Pennsylvania, sixteen district is a great guy. True public servant. He's one of the good ones down there in DC, congressman Kelly. Welcome back to the show, sir. Job. Good morning, everybody. Great great day. I know it's a Friday, but I love anything that has the word reform, when it comes to the IRS, Mike Kelly, God bless you, son. Godless, we spoke to a couple of months ago about that your, your IRS reform Bill. Remind us what that is. Exactly, if you would, sir. Kill what I think, for most of us, the worst letters, you can receive the, by the way, where are people listen to, you will never get a phone call from the IRS if you get that call. Yeah. Hang up. So much. Place. Everything you get from the IRS will be in the form of a letter. You won't get phone call. So having said that we thought was that the IRS should be customer service agency, as opposed to this overwhelming enforcement agents, scares the limit daylight all. That's exactly. Yeah. Get the letter from the IRS you open the letter and then you, call your lawyer and say, oh, my guy after me. But the whole idea behind taxpayer. Exactly. But it says jokes talking about how many times do you look at a piece of legislation. Say, hey sounds good. But you know what care, the rapper office, which inside that block? Label. This is truly. Heck Feher I meaning forced to sir should be people that supply every single penny to one run this wonderful form of government that we have. And that's let's take care of our taxpayer. So turn this into a service turned into a customer first service, turn this into protecting the tax payers, as opposed to something that's open well-meant heavy hand on you. It's all your throat skating daylight during the Jesus, when you get that communicate. So we're trying to do is just make it more efficient more effective higher. Let's, there's a lot of people working for the SEO. We talk about these things the FBI right now getting beat. Right. But you know what the IRS about seventy four thousand people that worked to the IRS. No late that he worked for the IRS, who they really work for the American taxpayer us. Right. Right. They have a budget of eleven point seven billion dollars last year. Although ours, all those dollars, faith, four provided by American taxpayers stretch health, we'd be scared to death of the people. We are paying for don't run the agency force out along the way people doing a great job we have to elect revenue to this program running the country running. But the let's really start to take our hats off to the people that provide the weapon on that taxpayers, hard-working American taxpayer. So we weren't changed agency from an adversary position into one. That's a resource for America's you're not afraid to contact the IRS, if you have if you have a problem, you should be afraid to sit down and talk and say this gun although exchange from seventy eight thousand pages down to a little over two thousand pages, the rules, the regulations. Please help me through the slow walk me through this. So I'm sure that. Yeah. I did. Congressman is it passed. It passed the Senate is the president. Yeah. No go ever gonna have the white hot for President Trump to sign. So this is. The Washington we're actually Republicans and Democrats get together do something. It's the best into how the people out there, which is an unusual. You know, congressman I gotta take out because I'm not surprised that it's from you, because you like to my buddies, congressman king, or lease Elden. You know, there's some great congressman that do reach out to the site. Is this did you work with John Lewis on this, if I may ask here? Yeah, we didn't work with John Lewis on. I'm Lynn that waiting mean for Cuneo. But I'm also on the subcommittee for oversight. And this is a base came out of oversight know John Lewis is if I wanted comes to. The move at the early boom it back over rights, five guys. Pettus bridge, and an east and I cried person when it comes to race relations and equal treatment, he's a fine gentleman. Great opportunity to work with him. I think again show so often philosophy wash. We work together hand in hand on the lot of make this other stuff is going on right now destroys the fate, and the trusted, people have McGovern because look, this is about chasing a president who is on is one of the greatest presidents ever over something that's fully on over the fact that they don't like the fact of what the American people did in two thousand sixteen that was applying elect somebody who's not a politician. But a person that actually actually interest of American people not just consult, so listen. John is a great guy out work with icon, a guy for those things. I'm sure that I'll look back in my lifetime and say, you know what certain time in my life was actually able to go and serve this wonderful, wonderful country and do some things that makes us to the people that supply every. Single penny. Crop rated. Yeah. You don't a Kelly was a on your Bill, which was somewhat controversial, which was removed before they pass it. What we're of that in? Why was it remove sir? That was the free valley program, and the people that all of a sudden say, wait a minute. It's free valley, really is giving these different agencies or institutions attest to, to sell somebody, something down the line as opposed to just being a free out and this was this was worth. It was being done in, and it was being done in a way that would help taxpayers. Navigate this system wasn't costing tax payers anything, but you know what Joe you know as well as I do the perfect always good. And somebody pick that up long enough and hard enough to say, wait a minute. We're trying to do taxpayers with this is just giving them an invitation to get into their, their lives and actually sell them something down the road away comes to those types of services. So, because the became such a born and, and some people state. I think it still be there for people, but it won't be parts of the air was called the game was called again. We're really unusual really hard understand what's called free file, meaning cost of these people that were using that service, nothing it was being done for free to help them file their income tax. So all of a sudden, it became no these, these people into it, they'll out of some. Some. They got to always takes up back just why just to take something back. I mean, that's what they all seem to wanna do about surprise. Listen. I gotta give you so much credit congressman Kelly this congressman Kelly on the phone with Joe on the radio at his six forty seven. Great guy from Pennsylvania sixteen and tell you what I'm surprised that congress had time to vote on this survey, I thought, they'd be busy, holding members of the Trump administration in contempt. You know. I mean when our lives. We look at this on saying, are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? So what I have years later, forty million dollars the greatest travesty of all the lives that the mullahs report destroyed in trying to find something that never existed is made up came out of the campaign. And I think when the American people look back in this, they are going to say, oh, my God. This is what happens in third world countries. This is what happens when you have a one away government this closely squashing, the public think of all those lives have been destroyed the people, the reputation future all what? Because people just couldn't believe fact that Donald Trump came forward with a plan makes us the American people to, you know what more craft. I'm sick and tired of hearing politicians who only care if I get into the retire, but I'm going to bring a guy in for me outside, take a you cut in pay to walk away from tremendous life, a beautiful wife of beautiful family, and going back every day by group of people have never done a champion the light and look for something to be long. So you know what at times, you get you get frustrated with it. But here's the thing. And all our listeners Joe what you do. Everyday is incredibly important. I want to if we walk away if we turn our backs on what's going on right now. So you know what I'm sick of it. I don't wanna earbud it. It's over for us. We have to fight this fight. We have to play this thing, the echo of the whistle. Not just the whistle. The echo the whistle to protect phenomenal country, where so many people died to give us the rights. We have. Vide the man congressman, Mike Kelly, God bless you for working with the with the other side, and you're trying to reform the IRS. God bless you for that, Mike. And, you know, hopefully, see as soon you're one of the great ones down there, my friend and godspeed to you congressman Kelly. Thank you. Heard every day for a long, long time. Very live. We have to win. We can't walk away where we, we are on congressman, and thank you, sir. Thank you so much, Mike Kelly right there. That's Vania sixteen great guy. Great guy. "It went to Pembina. So that's about one end of the state to the other questions or comments are working. Welcome for our guests. Chris Berg from point of view here. Congressman Kelly Armstrong and. Chris. I no doubt. You didn't get all the questions you wanted to get in for congressman Armstrong last night. So now you have another shot at the at that apple another bite at that. Apple go ahead. You're next. I have two things and completely different. But one congressman said you're going to be doing it energy roundtable. I saw interesting article yesterday about Bill, titled no pack, basically wanna get rid of this OPEC cartel and a town like passed out of your committee judiciary committee should just wanted. Your take them a good idea for us to look at breaking up OPEC would that mean for the oil markets? Yeah. It's not. That's what it is that it gives the the attorney general's office to ensure that they are that they are not committing fair practices. We actually took private portion out of it. It's a good way to make sure we're dealing with it. Now, I voted for it. I think it's a good process. My concern with it with the Bill is I mean, you don't pass a Bill are not passable because you're worried about bad behavior, you pass it or don't pass it because either good or bad policy, and I think this is good policy. But I do think we have to watch and make sure it gives OPEC countries doesn't give OPEC countries. Excuse not to communicate with markets. This is doing sure that they're not. I mean that we have some more saying that we are looking at them if they're doing unfair business practices that do affect the oil market, not just in North Dakota. But all across the world. God. It's not so much breaking them up as it is ensuring that we have we have some enforcement mechanism against them. And give our give the attorney general's office and department of Justice debility to do that. Does creating more of a free market system for oil, right? Marvin enforcement ensuring that they're not willfully manipulating. Got mind is I misunderstood converse on last night. I think this is such a important thing. Because you know, Scott you, and I've talked about this. And I said, you know, everyone's talking about bringing Muller in front of a committee like that's going to be a big deal. And I said well the first question to ask Mr. Mueller. So when did, you know there is no you in and I think that happened well before the two thousand eighteen midterms last night, congressman you mentioned that they no longer we're taking anymore warrants as of September of two thousand seventeen..

"Robert, you're going to have to get rose. Ryan Douglas, Jeff Han gather up the troops that by the way is a principal and a superintendent in swats creek community school in Michigan. That's how they put it out. Oh, wow. That's pretty inventive. Yeah. There are a bunch of them. If you go online, and you look for singing school closings it is catching on across the country. The superintendents are getting tired of just announcing it's another starting to sing it some of them can really sing to like those guys. Yes. I wonder if anybody's wrapping it like Lin Manuel Miranda. Yes, I saw a couple of them that they were doing rap feel free. Go for it. All right. I'll try to be creative. What are the things? I thought was kind of funny with the closings. The the skating rink closed the doors skating ring, the irony of that is. And then the there's a little ski lift area where you can go skiing in and around the fifth. Right. Even realized there was one, but that's close to it's so cold. But it's so cold. You can't go ski if you want to or skate if you want to but the guys are out picking up the trash, maybe they're they're they're on the bubble. They were saying that they might decide to. Delay their pickups. We'll see what happens. Anyway, what are you working on tonight? Besides the weather, what are you talking about? What were we talking about Mike Kelley, it looks as though the Democrats see congressman Kelly seat as being somewhat vulnerable is it possible that someone in a district like his could be targeted for two thousand twenty depending upon alternately? I guess who's topping the ticket for the Democrats. But we'll talk about that a little bit. We're also gonna talk about ten hills and the school district, and what that school board then did to the people the school the students the current board, and they're running up almost a million dollars a month. In a Bill debts where they just can't pay. They built this beautiful facility. But with no real way of being able to finance it moving forward. Apparently, they thought when they build it, and they will come they met somebody meant the money to, but we're gonna talk about that later on this evening as well. They absolutely horrible mismanagement government funds. Other what did officials, you know, Robert back to the weather and from a standpoint of getting out in it, and that kind of thing I had a boss years ago. Save don't say don't tell people don't go out because people are adults and they make their own decisions. You just tell them what the conditions are. And let them make their own decisions, and who really gets upset about this or restaurants and places who depend on people coming out, right? No, I get that. I I completely get that. I remember hearing that from the golf courses, you know, when you were give the forecast would lean toward the rain. What couldn't you lean toward the sun? Play golf. Yeah. Actually. Good point. I think it's interesting that the warming centers, although they're going to be open a little bit later today. What are they doing for the people who have no place to go at night like somehow, it's going to get colder? And then they're going to be better off during the night. Presumption that they will be somehow they've even during the day. But no warming center in the overnight. I don't quite understand that I wondered about that too. When I thought that close like at nine o'clock or something like that. So yeah. But what's the what happens at nine thirty? That's actually a great question that you're gonna answer tonight. "Well uh i haven't and and uh i think most of us realize that at this point uh his his family needs to be with him a we're checking on him as often as we can to to get an update on his condition but i'll say this about uh uh steve scalise he's one of the finest people no one of the nicest guys and and and a guy that's constantly encouraging everyone and so i encourage everyone all your your your viewers to to pray for him for his full recovery and for for a matt uh a mica who was shot in the in the chest now i know you're talking about how initially if congressman kelly may have been who he was was targeting and then it became more random and an early on of course she saw him she congressman scalise you know the shooter did have at best social media presence congressmen and he had made a congressman about a comment about congressman's elise in a post back in 2015 he wrote on facebook here's a republican that should lose his job at they gave him a raise do you think that from what you saw that he then targeted scholarly specifically or you really felt that way with kelly and then sca lease was in the more random part of the fire i really don't know after that initial shot because when i when he fired his weapon and uh trent kelly turned toward him he his weapon was wanted directly at trapped in as i say as we were trying to make her way to cover a wasn't looking back to see where he was shooting and and uh uh so i i really couldn't say whether or not he targeted um the the uh y you talk about what kind of a a man congressman scalise is and last week impact as a reporter for rollcall spoke with him because obviously you all take this baseball game very seriously main ericans may not know about it but it is a big deal you play at national stadium of course it's going to be tomorrow night he spoke to that reporters about why this game mattered so much to him and here's what he's that people by nature and would you get to go out the majorleague ballpark and play a play kid's game there's nothing like it a lot of fun camaraderie round here too.
