I've been removing fans and putting different aftermarket fans on on mismatch components to make to make it run cool and quiet an i got there and i'm very happy with this thing so next step is to try and upgrade it with even more ridiculous components using it with an external. Gpu as well as the the chassis. So small econ accommodate a full power supplies which using a Psu so only one hundred watts. So can i use like what's on the motherboard. Yes they're going. Different necessarily when revolting charles selves as kids when we making women making technology purchasing decisions. Here we say right. So what did you buy. I something called a yoto player. Which is an audio player for. Kids designed to be used by kids. So what is little cube which connects to your wi fi and has a couple of speakers. Restrictive abortion law suspended in South Carolina one day after passing
"South Carolina's law banning most abortions has been suspended. Commodore Henry McMaster signed the bill into law yesterday. Planned Parenthood is challenging it. Ah, judge put a 14 day temporary restraining order on the law until a hearing on March. 9th can determine if the law will be enforced. The order was needed, in part because more than 75 women are scheduled to have abortions in the state over the next three days. Most of them would be banned under the new law. Stacey Lynn CBS
The Future of Digitization, Innovation, and Customer Experience
"Bit back into history. Because i recall once we spoke about a journey that you had within comcast obviously building x want so i wanted I alone if you can share with the audience you know what is x one and then maybe few lessons from the journal making x one such a big success so the x one l. Backup the story. Where when i first joined comcast and was leading the advance video. Products group are set. Top boxes were the user experiences where we always called the blue screen but it was. It looked like something that was built on visual basic rank. The screens were little ovals. And you could pick something. And then there'd be a bit of a delay and you go to the next menu with a bunch of ovalles' you've probably a bit Then your commodore sixty four but not not the not much not much not much and none of us were really proud of the experience back. Then but that was the stated technology back then and we had partnered with a couple of companies to try to bring it to a new interactive level. And we just could not like the technology in cable had just was fairly stagnant when it came to video interfaces and so we ended up starting from scratch. It was originally a project called caliber. Where we went. And from the ground up in this was really tony werner in sri coattail with our organization started this initiative which eventually became x one where we decided to build a new video platform from the ground up and so the user experience. Now you would probably take it for granted but when we were doing back you know. I'll say ten years ago. It was stated the are where all the video was very graphical the menus or graphics and tyler and very easy to navigate and it's blended between linear tv and on demand as well as internet video. So everything's blended together. We have music in there now. So just it's really a entertainment system at this point and so that's what we ventured out to build and in winter number trials but then mass launch not just comcast but we also provided as service to other. Ms owes so for instance. Communications in the united states is a customer of ours. they use the x one platform rebrand. But the main lists from from this. If you need something to happen you need to develop on your own. Or i think the funny thing was. We didn't really set out saying we wanted to build something on her own. I think we tried to partner with a couple of companies in the past against inter. We get there. But i think one lesson for us was when you really do have to. You know transform a product space or an industry. Sometimes you just like we took team and put them in another building. You kinda sometimes you just have to step away from from all that you know and go start fresh and i think we tried multiple times not do that but we finally realized that was the only way to really break the paradigm in so that was really important. We felt as the largest broadband operator in the country that we needed to start to become more of a leader in less as less a follower of technology and so i think that was our way of figuring out how to serve lead in this space. I will say we did learn mean first and foremost we learned how to build software italy. Which was that was really. The biggest challenge for us was we'd always built. Software is oh saying earlier where someone wrote a big spec you know the product team would write a big spec handed over to engineering team. The engineering team either term to a vendor and give them that spec or start to build it themselves and the exxon was really the first time where we took on a massive initiative and singled out how to build software and build products inevitably. And that was. I think that changed the company that that changed us from being a buyer of technology to understanding how we could build it ourselves and the right way to build it ourselves it also impacted the way. We work with technology companies. Because when we did that we decided that's the way that's the way we want. Our technology partners should go software so it it started to create a bar when we dealt with technology partners it vade it and build software that way we really didn't want to be buying using their software like we. We started pushing all our partners that if they wanted to have a strategic relationship with us long term we expected them to injury and build more modular solutions and iterative quickly with their

The C64 'Maxi' Review - Full-Sized Commodore 64 Replica
"Retro video game consoles are pretty awesome. But i just got the one that i've been anticipating the most. I'm going to review these sixty four by retro games next. This is tweet hello everyone. Welcome to hands on tech. I'm jason howell. So if i had to trace passion for technology back to one key item from my childhood be pretty easy for me to put my finger on it. And that's the commodore sixty four. That's the one of the most popular computer systems. Especially at the time. I think it was known as the most popular computer system in the eighties. And i had a commerce sixty four for quite a few years. When i was a kid and i just had so many memories of connecting to bulletin boards with my three hundred baud modem downloading commercial games that i probably wasn't supposed to have just trading floppy disks with friends at school. I mean this defined my childhood. So when i heard that retro games was gonna put out a commodore sixty four mini console. I was elated now in twenty eighteen. They released these c. Sixty four mini. And it's about half the size of a normal commodore sixty four included some games but you could also tap into it to basically run any disk images from the congress sixty four that you wanted. I thought that was neat. Until i heard that the keyboard was completely functioning which is an issue i have a retro raspberry pi with retro pie on it and i've emulated commerce sixty four many times but not having the commodore sixty four keyboard actually changes. The experience are certain keys to re map is just not the same thing. So then i was super excited. When retro games announced that they were doing a maxi version known as the c sixty four happens to be what i have right here the full size version with a functioning keyboard and it is awesome especially for someone like me on the perfect person to give this a spin. So let's take a look at my experience with the c sixty four first. Let's talk about the hardware itself and boy. Am i happy that i waited for the full size keyboard release. The design is impressively faithful to the original bread. Been model of the commodore sixty four. There was a sand papery texture that surrounds the keys on the keyboard that to my memory is pretty spot on the like chunk of the space bar and how it feels when you slam. That feels just right. Totally takes me back and the keys themselves. They're pretty good. There may be a tad wobbly compared to my memory of the original commerce sixty four but thankfully typing this review on it. So i don't care as long as i can hit that run. Stop key when a game tells me too about the only real difference that i can tell from the original. Is that the shift. lock key. doesn't lock down into place when pressed like did on the original. It is a software toggle so it still has the same functional use is just not quite as satisfying all in all. I'm very pleased with how faithful this keyboard replica is. It's a joy to us where things are very different from. The original is the side and the back of the unit. Basically the i o ports on the side is a power button that you just tap and hold power honor office different from the switch on the original. Also three usb ports for plug near joysticks in on the side or other usb peripherals on the back is a micro usb port for power and aced out for your modern television or monitor. Something you can't do with the original commerce sixty four and another usb port and. I'm super pleased that they included that additional rear facing port because that allows me to keep a thumb drive plugged in there. When i want to add more games which you can do and we'll talk about that. My only real complaint is simply how light and in some ways kind of hollow. The entire system feels the original. Had some heft to it. You know one thousand nine hundred eighty technology and this new version contains a small arm computer with five hundred twelve megs of memory so it's pretty svelte. This nation system running vice after all also no true comer sixty four peripherals can be plugged in here at least not easily so no user port no port or expansion port. Now packed in the box is this joystick. Which as you can see has a lot more buttons than any commerce sixty four joystick. Ever had really you just end up with one if you're using a traditional commerce four controller. There's a lot more here and we'll talk about how that interfaces but definitely not quite the slick stick that. I adored back in the day but it does the job. It is super clicky. Pretty loud characteristic. Personally i never really cared much for in those old school joysticks. There's a large button on both sides. That makes it usable for lefties and righties and along. The bottom is a row of specialized buttons that tap into the carousel interface of the sixty. Four which i'll get to as well as for allowing specialized functions during game play so you can load and save states. You can open a virtual keyboard which on the maxi the large version of the c. Sixty four is is unnecessary. Really and then of course you can exit out to the main carousel screen to load a new game. The stock joystick is really kind of essential. If you want to jump in and out of games quickly. It's a bummer. There aren't other designs to choose from. Because like i said it does the job but it's definitely not my favorite for long stretches. Bluetooth support is not included But some people in forums have had luck with different. Modern controllers plugged in via usb. So assume that you're probably using the stock controller unless you really wanna go diving deep and experimenting you might be able to take your favorite controller and plug it in here but it's probably not going to be super easy out of the box now a mini console releases often only as good as the games that are included on it and if you check wikipedia it says that the commodore sixty four originally had around ten thousand commercially released software for the platform. So no matter how. You chop down to disappoint somebody. The c sixty four ships with you guessed it sixty four titles out of the box including a few vic twenty. Titles a firmware update. They you should. Flash brought another seven games to the carousel and some additional functionality. Over although game selection is pretty paltry and my opinion. It doesn't quite match my own nostalgic experienced. But like i said everybody has a different experience. I really appreciate the epochs heavy offerings here. So you've got impossible mission of all the games games summer winter games the jump man series of pretty much many of epochs is a classic titles are in there. There's also a few other favorites. You radium perr odroid. There's some good games in there. Don't get me wrong. But many of these titles simply were not on my radar when i was a kid so when it comes to nostalgia i'm really looking for titles that i know and going to get to more on that in a second but gameplay itself is as smooth as it needs to be. I didn't find any games that didn't work the way i remember them Playing it is an emulation approach though so consider that. It's not going to be perfect. But i didn't detect anything that clued me into it being ambulation. I have emulated the congress sixty four on the raspberry pi and some keys. Don't exist on the keyboard that you have to plug into the back of the raspberry pi in order to do it. So like i said earlier. Having this keyboard makes the game play experience that much. Better the carousel which used very frequently with the c. Sixty four is thoughtfully done as well. You've got some game. Cover art some gameplay screenshots and then a description of the game along with details like who the composer was which personally is a c sixty four aficionado. I can say that super important. The ship is is an amazing music. Chip that was included in the sixty. Four this dozen a perfect job of emulating it and it is really nice to know if hubbard produced not track that you're about to listen to either our display options if you wish to add some crt style scan lines to the experience though. Personally i kept those off for the most part so sixty four games out of the box pretty limited when you're talking about ten thousand total titles but it isn't a deal breaker because if you format a thumb drive to fat thirty two you can add play d sixty four disk images added to your heart's content though you might have to do some cleanup work. I in order to make that happen. The integrated file manager only two hundred fifty six files in a single folder. So if you have a library of thousands of games you're going to shift everything around into their own folders in order to get access to all of those within the interface or you can tap into a community driven upgrade for the c. Sixty four called project carousel. Usb this actually adds hundreds more games directly into the carousel interface so it's as easy to pick and choose as the stuff that ships with the sixty four. Now do note. Project carousel may violate copyright rules. So you're going to want to be sure to check your local laws before diving in check with your own ethics and see if you feel comfortable with that and if it's legal for you to do so but if you do choose to explore this it's super easy. It's non-destructive doesn't override the firmware permanently. Basically you just throw the image files on a thumb drive and then flash the firmware temporarily after boot up to access all the games in that interface power off. The original firmware returns to stock.
Georgia Bulldogs announce no make-up game for Vanderbilt Commodores cancellation
"Always great to Welcome back mike griffith to the program and mike. Let's start with the georgia bulldogs. After a spectacular saturday. They were hoping for one more game. It had already been postponed and now it has been canceled in what has been the reaction there and can anything be done about well. We're not gonna probably ever have anything like this in the future but really curious about your thoughts. Yeah a lot of fury. A lotta anger at georgie. No i it's twofold one georgia's playing great football. Jt daniels i mean before jt. They convert forty two percent of the third downs with jt. They convert sixty six right. Jt daniel six touchdown passes on on third down throws three incompletions. I mean the guys night and day. It's been amazing. Some people maybe. It's the schedule actually know if you look at the third down defense is the last. Three teams actually ranked better than the first six on average. What georgia's played. This guy has made all the difference in the world. It makes a difference in recruiting. Suddenly you have players. That are migrating to georgia that. Want to be a part of the georgia offense again so this transformation is happening in the shadows. Now that's georgia's fault. They didn't take care of business when they needed to jacksonville or in tuscaloosa and so they're sitting out this week so you don't get to see it but it's been happening on saturdays in athens and this georgia outgoing class. All these guys had an opportunity to be the winningest class in georgia football history. That's quite a legacy. But because vanderbilt canceled out all they can do is tie that mark now and so the a piece of their legacy is gone understand. Covid nineteen is not controllable but in the case of vanderbilt its players that are quitting the team and in the case of vanderbilt they cancelled on december fifth rally the troops for their senior day on december twelve and then canceled on georgia again. After the fact so georgia couldn't even get an alternative game that was acceptable for the senior day. So there's a lot of of anger and frustration and disappointment and all george can do now is hope that they get a good bowl draw. I think they need notre dame to upset clemson. I think if that happens. And if chalk holds and ohio state beat the bad northwestern and alabama roles florida. You could see georgia clemson in the orange bowl and i think that could excite the georgia fan but as things currently project. You're looking maybe. Cincinnati georgia in which case. Maybe some georgia guys opt out and say you know what it's cincinnati. It's it's not a real game.
Matt Stinchcomb previews Vanderbilt/Tennessee and talks about Sarah Fuller
"Seems like we've talked about tennessee a few times this year and i'm really interested in your view of them and Especially you know trying to shalva season with vanderbilt tomorrow. Am the next week. The schedules obviously been rearranged a little bit. Where are they right now. Bad spot Lots of season in a game vs vanderbilt non place you want to be. If you're tennessee. Football program your rewind all the way to the beginning of the season writing that winning streak and then getting a victory vs south carolina and then going on the road and putting it on missouri. I mean running the football right down their throat to the point where i think it changed. Who missouri was defensively. Going forward made him a better football team kind of steeled their resolve not to have that happen again because tennessee almost two hundred forty seven rushing yards on them in that football game. It's been the same sense. I will have to say that most people. I think observing the program even outside of the quarterback position and the circumstances that all teams have found themselves in this year. This has been really disappointing year for tennessee football. They've got two more shots at. It is a very short handed vanderbilt. Football program could get on the field georgia. It'll be interesting to see if tennessee can put together a convincing performance versus their in state conference member i. i wouldn't even call it. A rival per se for tennessee's perspective although Tennessee vanderbilt had some success versus the balls in recent years. Easy man on talk shows to blame coaches but there is obviously more to it. But as you look at jeremy pruitt and his staff. I'm curious how you would evaluate or analyze some of the decisions especially at quarterback because a lot of people feel like jeremy was was really slow to make a change. Yeah quarterbacks been an interesting adventure for tennessee to say. The least. I mean even last time out versus the florida gators harrison bailey. Obviously getting out there and then comes out of the game briefly. Brian our goes in but then. Jt shrout finishes finishes the game. We haven't seen a lot of either one of those guys. Jt shroud got in earlier. In the season jarod guarantee no Start out rough to say the least versus kentucky and what ended up being a blowout loss at the hands of the wildcats at home. Jt shrout through pass for an interception in that one football game and then to see him late last week and had some success in two series versus the florida gators. But it's it's been kind of all over the place at the quarterback position and largely been that way for two seasons. Really paul when you think about the way. They had to manage the quarterback position last year. And i would argue masterfully. Really given where. Jerry guarantee no been mentally after the gulf called. Qb sneak versus alabama. When tennessee was still very much in that football game ends up going the other direction the idea that they were able to still salvage the back. End of that season was was really impressive from a coaching standpoint. This season the quarterback position has remained an issue to say the least and the lack of consistency and even in the past couple of weeks in harrisonburg getting his first start versus florida a week ago. It's still not a known commodity. We'll talk to tennessee later on today. We've not visited with him yet to find out what exactly can expect to get their quarterback tomorrow versus the commodores one program with a six game losing streak the other with a nine game. I mean i guess there is only. There is some light at the end of the tunnel. That one team has to win. But i mean this. This is a mess. Matt i realize this late in the year and it's a stranger at that but on the other side of vanderbilt. We all know the story pretty well. The coaching change the future unknown. Give us give us your assessment of of where they are right now with with a chance to at least be tennessee. That would that would be big. It'd be huge And it's still going to be an uphill climb. I mean you look at their roster. There's no way they've got fifty scholarship players available in this football game. They're choosing to play the game. It's admirable because vanderbilt different. I think it's well documented that they're different from any of the other member institutions southeastern eastern conference but none more so than in the area of roster roster management in a year where everyone is incredibly lean. This point in time memorable would be lean anyway. Even in regular circumstances they don't have a ton of walk on. There's not a lot of kids lining up to pay that tuition to pay full freight and have that academic rigor. Oh and by the way all week you get a practice. Football games probably never see the field and likely watch. Your teammates get beat down. It's just something that a lot of people are signing up for. They don't have a lot of bodies they don't have a lot of kids to even be able to practice. So it's admirable the vanderbilt's even able to take the field tomorrow. I'll little bit hesitant to say the least. We had them last week in a would be game vs. Georgia got cancelled at noon on friday. It does appear that this game's going to get. Its admirable just enough that the commodores are going to be able to take. The field. Looked like they were turning a corner. Looked like they were going to play better. Football down the stretch. Mississippi state had an opportunity to win. Were undone by turnovers. Still a young quarterback and true freshman kin seals but there last time out versus missouri was a discouraging performance to say the least in. It'll be interesting to see what they're able to cobble together with the personnel. They have available. And what could be their final game of the season if they're not able to get back out there versus georgia we from them. What is the sarah fuller situation for. Tomorrow's best you know as we understand it She will be kicking in football game. We think extra points. is probably the likelihood of win. We will expect to see her in the contest tomorrow but she is available for place kicking duties and it seems as if the point after attempt is the most likelihood most area of likelihood that we could see on the field of play tomorrow. You know there's so much conversation about that. And and i think most reasonable people smiled and we're happy and and celebrated it but you know we both grew up in the south and there are certainly narrow views of what happened. I'm curious just to somebody who played this game at the highest level is also reasonable your thoughts on when it happened. And what you'll see you tomorrow. Yeah you know as a father of daughters the whole thing. The more opportunities The better in that regard. I will say that circumstances in many ways. I don't wanna say forced but created the opportunity for this to have happened in credit sarah fuller for wanting to take advantage of that. I do think that you know the attention that it still garnering. The fact that things have seemingly settled down around the fact that there's a female kicker in a power five game is only help not only her ability to contribute with that football team but the team in general because as we know it is unique and can be a distinct distraction in some ways. A positive distraction but distraction nonetheless and from what we gather and it makes sense that because some time has passed. And maybe perhaps because vanderbilt didn't take the field last week vs georgia. The things have kind of settled down and interestingly and rather quickly surf or has assimilated into that football team and program not an easy thing to do late in the year But i think that speaks to some of the positive elements of this as much as anything else squib make a field goal point after was the fact that she is seemingly a member of the football team and not a novelty. I think that's really where the progress would ultimately be made the fact that so much attention has been garnered around it. That's fine for the first time but if progress is actually being made and if we're opening up our eyes and broadening our rises and just playing the best potential players in these capacities then at some point in time it shouldn't be a novelty to just be something that should be expected. We're not there yet. That's not the case but we're closer this week than we were two weeks ago when she first took the field versus missouri

Excuse me. You think freshman players in the women's soccer team who've ever seen the field? Get up and give speeches to players who've given four years to a program? Nope, not happening. No further debate about this. Fuller was used as a publicity stunt, and it is clear as day ESPN had its hands in it. Don't be shocked if we find out soon that ESPN have cameras rolling during Fuller's Heroes speech. Sure, she's the combination of Jackie Robinson and Nute Rockne E. A kicker, giving a halftime speech. Think about it for a minute rights can see those of you who thought this was a sincere act from a Van de program desperate to feel the team during uncertain covert times have been had This is all nonsense. Soccer team for a help fuller on how she defines the history she made on a broader sense, honestly, haven't taken a second to soak it all in. Really. I just think it's incredible. That I am able to do this. And all I want to do is be a good influence to the young girls out there. Because there were times like I struggled in sports, but I am so thankful I stuck with it, and it's given me so many opportunities. And it's I've met so many amazing people through sports and I, you know, I just want to say, like literally, you can do anything. You set your mind to like. That's that's the number one thing. That needs some good news, hungry for some good news, and you think about what Sarah Fuller has done. Already with soccer If you go back to what she did at Vanderbilt with soccer, I mean, they went on this incredible SEC tournament run where the team wins, is the seventh seed. The History Of Edo Japan
"The last episode i covered the beginning of the eto period it was known for its 'isolation strict societal classes and hierarchy and order but it started to see unravel beginning the second half of the era and by eighteen hundred internal issues with the merchant class rising an economic stature above the samurai and all the other classes were casting doubts about the practicality in future of the class hierarchy in japan also outside nations were beginning to by the early nineteenth century seek out any gauge japan regarding diplomatic relations and trade this would endanger. It's latest policy in this episode. I'll continue with the period a continuation of those same internal and external pressures issues. It will culminate in the arrival of commodore perry and the eventual fall of the tokugawa shogunate. And i will provide an analysis of these events and compare these events with what was going on in china during the same period internally in japan the issues of samurai impoverishment continued lower lower level samurais increasingly became frustrated that high-ranking government positions went to privileged families with no chance of advancement compounding this were bad crop harvests in the eighteen thirties resulting in famine disease and death japanese officials failed to provide relief leading to some peasant protests and riots outside pressures were also continuing to mount in eighteen forty four king william the second of the netherlands sent a letter to the show gun urging japan to end its isolation policy or it would be ended by force from foreign countries as already stated. The japanese. Were aware of the humiliation of the. The chinese suffered at the hands of the english in the first opium war. Japan had almost immediately after that began. Its modernisation western. The americans were becoming more concerned that if they did not act quickly. Other nations particularly european nations would gain a foothold in japan. The us head already been beaten to the punch so to speak by the europeans. In the exploitation of china plus the americans wanted a refuge in japan for its steamships to recall on their way to china. There were also many reports and concerns over the japanese treatment of shipwrecked shipwrecked american sailors and their desire to do something about that. The us got to the point where it wanted to send to japan. An expedition seeking relations and to avoid being left out of the asia pacific region and development and discussion. Everything would begin to change in eighteen fifties
Tauon PC-1 Review
"I've had this thing sitting here since the summer and I've been meaning to review it. However, I've been so busy that I've had to put it on the back burner for some time. Unfortunately. Well, we've got Christmas approaching and some of you may come across the towel on PC one on eBay. You may have been looking for a retro computer and this thing pops up or at least it did for me that they've changed the description now and when I got it it was $100 after shipping, but now it's like $88 after shipping on eBay. If I order it from the Talon electronics website, you're still looking at $100 after shipping the towel on PC one has a cortex A7 arm processor off. 1 gigahertz one gigabyte of RAM and 8 gigabytes of internal storage. You also get a mouse power adapter that has a switch on it and gave em a v cable to plug into composite televisions that includes many of those old CRT televisions. Tell on electronics helps their towel on PC one computer as a kids-friendly family computer the computers all inside of a keyboard wage much like the Retro microcomputers like the Commodore sixty-four and the Atari eight bit computers of the early 80s. It's black and color and has one USB off work for the mouse. At least that's what's available on the outside. Anyway, it has one additional USB port on the inside which we will get to off the keyboard itself has a Gamepad mode if you want to use it as a Gamepad for games though, really, you're not going to be picking the thing up and you'll see that as a Gamepad. It's more like pressing keys on the keyboard to play the game. That's all it is. That's runs Android 7.1.2 out of the box or at least mine was and it's actually a modified version called towel on os office. That's how I ordered it over the summer. It may be entirely possible. They've updated the version with the latest firmware, which I have not updated yet. But I will do as part of the review the keyboard feels pretty nice as I boot this up. It makes a horrible computer sound which I really don't like I guess it's supposed to be the sound of a computer connected to the internet was a dial-up modem. There's no need for this at all. And I hate the boot up process because of this the boot screen is a nice retro 8-bit. How To Get New Commodore 64 Games
"The Commodore Sixty four as a classic home computer and quite frankly a great gaming system and believe it or not. Games are still being made to this day for the system. Many are free. Some you'd have to pay for I mean after all, it does take work to write the programs even with the limited graphics and sound that don't told up to today's games but even with the limited graphics and sound, there are great eight bit games checkout etch dot co at do a search on that site for Commodore, you'll find Commodore Sixty, four games in even a vic twenty game or two here him there granted there aren't a whole lot of games listed there but notice about near the. Top that says Commodore Sixty, four click that now we are much larger selection of games and I'm sure there's other ways to get to this to this is just the way I did it now be short to look at the description of each game since not all games listed are actually commodore sixty, four games. Some are modern eight bit style games. Some are even just soundtracks of games. Sidetrack software is one of the big modern publishers of Commodore. Sixty. Four. Games. You'll also find great ports in clones of Arcade Games that either didn't exist for the commodore sixty four back in the eighties or had horrible ports back then and developers took time today to make much better ports and clones. Galaxia, for example, as one of the best clones of Gallagher for the Commodore Sixty four, there was a port of Gallagher in the eighties for the system, but it was quite subpar and didn't meet people's expectations for the game but you could get Galicia and have a very good gallagher like experience on your commodore sixty four through dot ISO. Now, if you have a commodore sixty four, you're going to want to buy a device called the SSD to IC- to deal with the disk images. You could buy this at the future was eight Dot Com and put your desk images on an SSD card. For Cartridge Images, you'll want the easy flash cartridge which you can load crt files onto. You could buy that at Gopher Retro Dot Com that's go the number four retro dot com or if you have the money, you could do both with the ultimate to plus cartridge ads alternate sixty four dot com. I know the SD to is see should come with instructions out set up your software, but I have no experience with other options myself. Of course, if you don't have a commodore sixty four I just want to make things easy. You could always use device emulation software and many of the downloads from each ISO for Commodore Sixty four come with vice or some are emulator already. So you don't even have to worry about downloading it.
What we'll remember from the 2020 Biden convention
"For more on Biden's speech. In this week's historic virtual Democratic convention we're joined by two guests in Massachusetts Dr. Cornel. West with a professor of the practice of public. Philosophy at Harvard. University author of numerous books including race matters and black prophetic fire. His new podcast called the tight rope in two thousand Seventeen Cornell Westwood's in Charlottesville with. Neo Nazis stormed the campus he and other clergy members were protected by anti-fascists from the mob white supremacists and in Baltimore Maryland were joined by Ben Jealous Precedent people for the American way former president of the ACP. He ran for governor of Maryland in two thousand eighteen we welcome you both to democracy. Now, Ben Jealous congratulations on your new position as head of people for the American way. Why don't you start off by responding to this week's Democratic convention your thoughts on. Where the two now nominees the. President not presidential nominee, Joe Biden and historic a selection of Kamla Harris, to be his running away their positions and how. They represent what you do or not. Theme this convention was really one of unity. This was a time. When we have to come together to defeat a president, who is the most evil the most corrupt than any of us have seen and That says a lot. It also was the time we saw two two nominees who we as progressives. No, we can work with. Kamla. Sister who introduced her Maya. The former head of the ACLU of northern. California. Kamo ran for D. A. and much more conservative time and yet did so as outspoken opponent of the death penalty who then held her ground early in term when she was tested, would an officer was killed an the entire liberal establishment northern California came down on her and she said the death penalty is wrong period. Tremendous Kirch and Joe Biden who Bernie himself said is poised to be the most progressive presidents since FDR. And so while it's not Bernie. And while maybe it's not somebody else someone hope for what we do know is that these are people that we can work with. These are people who their best represent our best values literally the daughter of civil rights activists, the sister of a civil rights lawyer who are self told me fifteen years ago she became a prosecutor because it wasn't enough to just fight the power. We also had to hold the POW. And I've seen her act courageously. So I'm I'm very hopeful and I have no doubt that we can work with. Joe. Like addy who spoke so beautifully, and that was the true highlight for me. I believe that we must move towards Medicare for all I also believe that Joe Biden will take us further in that direction certainly. Donald. Trump and frankly further than most presidents that that that we have an opportunity here to move things in the right direction again and as organizers. That's the most important thing to get out of any presidential election is a president that you can move in the right direction. and Professor Cornel West your reaction to this week in the positions of the Democratic candidates for president if I president. Day My points of reference really are the freedom dreams that we just heard from zoom commodores and genius Lionel Richie. Of Ella, Baker, who was invoked by brother Biden and the first sentence. Of his speech the Alabama who was a revolutionary L. A. Baker who was working on the mass party organizing committee would offer annoy the Great William Kuntsler for actually working for third parties because he thought, she thought that the two party system was so decrepit and then also to Curtis Mayfield that they've been playing over and over again, the move on up but you got to move on from poverty. And in order to do it, you gotTa Talk About Poverty. If you go move on from Wall Street greed and Wall Street crimes, you gotTa talk about, Wall Street Green Wall, street cry go move on up from the Pentagon militarism around the world you gotTa talk about it. Those are the taboo issues that we don't get serious wrestling with. So when you really. Talk about the soul of America, the battle for the soul of America much of that so has been evacuated by the Pentagon, cry greed and the Wall Street greed and the inability of the police and other institutions at treat black people and Brown people, Indigenous People as human beings so I agree with brother. Ben. In terms of being part of an anti fascist coalition. That I think we're forced to vote for buying, but we're not going to lie about buying. WE'RE NOT GONNA lie about Harris. We're going to tell the truth about their. Captivity and their. Refusal to hit Pentagon money spending and militarism around the world at Wall Street, green and. Speak substantively to issues of poverty you can have massive protests all around the country, the largest in the history of country, you can have brother Barbara. Assisted theorist talking about poverty, and then when you get to the convention, you get this spectacle that has nothing to do with wrestling with poverty. I think court breath corey was the only one that even talk about it for the most part none of the major figures did thank God that Bernie thank God LLC. Got A little ninety minutes as opposed Republic Ninety Second Major. Sometimes. Ninety seconds, Ninety seconds so that I you know I'm I'm with Ben in terms of we got the vote for Biden but never ever lying about him and not coming to terms with the fact that. This moment with the decline and fall of the American empire it looks as if the system is unable to generate enough energy to seriously reform itself, it remains sanitized superficial. We getting Lawrence Wealth bubbles rather than prince the revolution I want to go to the Princess Revolution Concert I walk fundamental change.
Intro to Amazon Alexa with Dave Isbitski
"What have you seen recently in? The the creativeness that's been explored through smart speakers in skills and just function in general. We were an oratory. Society and people. Long I mean you talk about the Gutenberg Revolution in the printing press which really made you know the written word accessible to everyone it was you know talk was not cheap talk was everything if you take the Bible and you take scripture when you had rabbis that would quote they had entire chapters memorized and if you said something wrong people around, you corrected that right and we live in this age where talk is cheap right and you don't believe everything that's that's that's written. Also. Lost that art of communication you know when you're communicating. You, need to understand that behind every question is a questionnaire, right? We're all human beings and that's what got me most excited through. All of this is when I was a little kid I would get excited about back. Then it was commodore. I. Get excited about computers and I go and tell my parents and they'd be like I have no idea what you're talking about and that was a theme throughout my entire career like I felt excitement and I saw and there was just a barrier to tech and thing you know because we had to we couldn't have computers really understand human the intention but I, remember being like. Why. Is this so hard and it just every? You know I've been fortunate if I got to be part of the desktop revolution. And Client Server, and then watch the Internet grow and start and do html pages in mobile and clap and through all of this, we just left behind. I gave up explaining to family members or people in the neighborhood. What it is I even did they just didn't understand and smartphone came. How many apps don't get updated is don't get updated and they're just had to be a better way, and now we're at this point we're like talking to my mother-in-law she was telling me things she does with Alexa like asking when thirty. Roxanne on than I even know was there was a skill. They're excited and use this as much as my kids and I do and I've never seen that and that I think was what's really got me excited as it's back to human beings in, it's also to see during this pandemic. Just to share with you like. Skill usage and so I'm not sure if your your listeners know skill usage although a lot of people have used skills now I think the stats are around three out of four people that haven't Alexis have used at least skill when we created Alexa we knew. People were going to have conversations about all sorts of things, and we wanted to create a way for anybody to teach Alexa to have a conversation about something. And we do that as human beings in understanding context, and so you and I know what day of the month it is. We know what the weather's like outside where you are. You know we have some background we talked a little bit before this context, and so the I had really had to learn that of what is actually when I say something. What does that mean in the in that context? That's the way skills are. So if I create and I want to have a conversation about fitness, I, need to understand what a metabolic rate is. Would a heart rate is I mean all all of these things vernacular in a lexicon and that's really what Alexa skills are is have a conversation about anything And then you can share these with everybody. So we go through a certification process where Amazon we review it make sure that it does what it says it does and it's safe Amazon customers. And then we've also released over time because we heard from people saying, Hey, I'm not a developer, but I still want to create these conversations for Alexis. So we have blueprints which anybody can go to blueprints dot Amazon Dot Com and do these things visually right and so here we are in the past three months and I can tell you that just in the past two months skill usage worldwide is up over sixty five percent. We're seeing Alexa voice search like on fire TV that's also increasing. You know where you can ask, you can even go through not just Amazon Prime, but net flicks Hulu it's just a natural. To be able to ask for things spontaneous. It's inclusive. It just gets these these interfaces. Out of the way and what's great about this is you don't have to trust Dave one. You could ask Alexi yourself you can say Alexa, what are your top skills or Alexa? I want to play games so a lot of this you can do with your voice. Now we've enabled reviews to see you can give. You Know Five Star Review just with your voice you can get feedback to like if you have a suggestion for us, you can actually say Alexa of feedback. But what you can do outside of the mobile APP what I suggest to people who just go to Amazon dot com slash skills. And then you can look like anything else on Amazon. So you could say I want this category four stars up and you'll see some of these skills have like twenty thousand plus customer reviews and they are saying what are they actually doing

"The way in there with you Damien this very Damien S. Commodores now this season Leo laporte yeah the tech guy eighty eight eighty eight past Leo the phone phone number line for Chris Burbank California hello Chris I push the right number to that I do everything right here I think I did Christy there all right let's see I'm gonna put you on hold and I'm gonna go to Zack in Los Angeles exact hope you are well I am well how are you hi there thank you for the program in question is for the cables yeah getting very expensive I'm basically what you to channel CNN and fox news nothing else and I've got the roku T. V. but doesn't allow me to to watch does too to local what other choices do I have the side going back to cable you don't find it confusing to watch both CNN and fox is what do you think of what I would find that confusing so let me think here to get see and then you have to buy it basically CNN you want to get over the top you don't want to go through the cable company is that right over the top means over the internet yes Sir yeah so to get CNN over the top I'm not sure how to get fox news they may offer it as well but with CNN you have to you have to buy a package that has CNN in other words they don't do live streaming just or on the internet you have the company that they applied the stream there a lot of them yeah almost all so there's a whole category now of companies that are basically duplicating internet duplicating cable service over the internet YouTube laying I like you to TV it's fifty dollars a month and you will get CNN and fox you'll also get bunch other stuff that you don't watch but you get those two for fifty dollars a month there's sling TV only see the scooter it says if you go to if you go to G. O. dot C. N. N. dot com are they live streaming there it looks like they are so it's a it's CNN go it's a preview so they're they're pushing the with there app called CNN go I'm sure you could put see and then go on your roku to go to the roku store and look for it just search for CNN and it doesn't get gold needs the only thing that they allow all they want you have a cable subscription now yeah yeah that's yeah that's that's really frustrating and then and don't blame CNN for this boy they would love to sell direct to you they would love it if you would give them ten Bucks a month to watch and then instead of going through your cable company which takes its chunk of the proceeds but they're so scared of the cable companies because if you think about it most people are watching CNN fox news and you know at H. G. T. V. and every other cable channel on the cable and if they if they annoy the cable companies too much the cable companies could drop them so does this and they may even have this in the contract I used to work for a cable channel TechTV this was quite awhile ago but it was in the contract you can only stream ten minutes of an hour on the public internet or were you yeah so they don't they don't want to mess their relationship up with cable companies now as you can tell this is this dynamic is changing because now HBO sells you direct show time cells to direct more more channels are doing this but not every channel can they don't have the clout perhaps so based on what you're saying YouTube or playing would do the job for me yeah PlayStation is that one they just cancel the call PlayStation view the reason I like you to be you may not be of any interest to you if if you're just watching fox and CNN probably none but you too has a DVR you can have up to six people use it so everybody in the family can have their own account and their own D. V. are you have unlimited recording it has a bunch of channels including CNN MSNBC fox but as a bunch of other channels including your local channels you know channel two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven whatever your local channels are those are also there so that's why you're paying fifty Bucks not that's not bad at all thank you very much my pleasure yeah I've honestly it's really been can it's all set up in such a way that you can't save money by cancelling your cable company because you got a first pay for internet the cable companies of slow feet raise the cost of internet the point where it costs enough that if you pay the sixty Bucks a month for your cable data not TV just the data when you subscribe to Showtime anytime or what is is that what it's called Showtime has it over the top HBO now yes piano if this was my time is at all because much your cable company and you still doing business the cable company so if you can get fiber what's the time DSL is not quite as fast as you want for Netflix another HD content so it doesn't save you money but maybe it gives you some satisfaction there always are not paying a cable bill and honestly if I were gonna do it I'm not because I'm paying for cable anyway but if if I were going to do it that's I would do YouTube TV at this really nice the other band U. two TV is you can use on your phone your iPad in your computer when you're away from home so it it's it's a little more flexible I think who also has a a streaming video component and I think the television you know live TV and I think peacock which is coming up this summer from NBC I'm wondering now we're gonna see some new streaming services that Disney plus was added a couple months ago peacocks coming for N. B. C. H. B. O. Max is coming from HBO and I wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of live local programming on those streaming that works too but right now YouTube sling and who I think of the big three hello and there's I don't don't recommend eighteen T. has direct TV now I do not that's also got live locals but I don't think it's a very good service that had massive server problems pickup will be free for Comcast customer sitting there everybody's everybody's pocket you're gonna be paying for cable for the rest your life just face it Charles in Virginia beach Virginia hello Charles Leo laporte the ten Kerr now anyway thank you for taking my call thanks for calling I was kind of a follow up to our con a couple weeks ago but actually kind of plays into your previous cars with the two called a couple weeks ago about the your routers yeah and that posted on the the show knows their spots I got back from them but at the same time too I went ahead and cut the cable or cut the core should say and also got a same murder that you and Steve had the neck here the the CM one thousand yeah yeah yeah that's your that's your cable modem yeah right yeah so course says got done listening to this week's hi can I have the next day I don't want to scare people yeah I'm you can I know I'm going to this question gossip got done listening I like on chat with **** and then one arm than theirs to do anything so let me see it let me feel everybody and so we're all up to speed there is a new I would say a highly critical vulnerability in cable modems almost every cable modem anything with a Broadcom chip in it which is most cable modems it's called cable haunt and it allows basically an attacker to take over your cable modem from the outside world it's nasty and you can't fix it even though it's your cable modem a U. D. I like you bought a netgear cable modem I own it not my cable company but the cable company apparently according to Steve gives our security guys the only there only people can fix it and the problem with that is the cable companies I think in many cases don't want to because it will take your internet offline.

"Is the baseball tonight podcast for Thursday, June twenty seven two thousand nineteen. I'm BUSTER only over London. Back in Bristol Troy Farkas, Josh macrey and guys on the proud alum today. The Vanderbilt Commodores getting it done again. Absolutely. Yeah, congratulations in the world to, to the team because you didn't really do anything BUSTER. But they earn it knows a dominant win last night. I was watching the game. I was excited to watch it. I was pulling for the wolverines because I wanted to give you a hard time this morning. But man Vanderbilt came out firing, and got a big win. Nice nice win by them. It was such an emotional victory for me. You know as the moments one out just to clinging to my lucky Vanderbilt hat. No. That's not what happened. Here's exactly what happened. My flight to London on Wednesday evening scheduled to leave at seven PM, and so you figure because it's the twenty first century you're going to get on a plane and you probably going to be able to watch the game. And you probab-. Ably. If you can't watch the game you certainly gonna follow it on the internet. So get on the plane, no television, no WI fi service. So couldn't follow the game in any form or fashion and land in London. And they tell you don't turn on your phone intil after the plane actually gets to gate turn on my phone, and I got all these text messages thanking -gratulations. That's how I found out about. It was a little anti-climactic, but still pretty cool slightly. Yeah. It's too bad. You weren't on the team planes that the Red Sox and Yankees had seen some video from that. And boy, it looks like they're flying in a mansion just incredible incredible services that they have there, but you not so much third class, citizen BUSTER..

"Eight five five two four two seven two eight five. I'd like to get the phones here guys, but I can't see the list your anthem move that little four thing. There we go. So we are taking calls rising falling in the SEC parameters. Of course, where we look at the last three years, and we'll the next three years, be better or worse. We've made four teams rising. They are Florida Texas, am Arkansas and Kentucky. And we have four teams falling Alabama. LSU South Carolina, Missouri. And in the case of Alabama, it's just because they've been so good last three years. And the reason Arkansas is rising is just because they've been so bad in the last three years, let's do another one for I get the phones. What's going to happen with the Vanderbilt Commodores, last three years six and seven five and seven six and seven. I can't see them rising. So I have to go falling. I'm with you. Somebody. Like I think I think they are a perpetual five and seventeen. I think they've been at their ceiling, but I think they've hit, I agree with agree toes? I'm gonna say falling because they're going to have a year where they only win three and when they do they won't be able to offset it by having a year where they went seven plus vani plays a decent non conference. Schedule a lot of years, and they can lose those games. Like didn't they play Notre Dame last year? I think. Tough game eventually think Tennessee, you'll get lucky and still one. Yeah. Tennessee has you gotta think once in the next three years. Maybe they finally get vanity. Yeah. I mean, the ball get crazy for them to beat vanity but ball bounce that way at least once. So we go falling. Yes. All right. Let's go to the west Auber. Eight and five ten and four eight and five. I don't know. Going rising. They're going to have a year where that in the next three years, they'll have ten and three year. I mean Kentucky just had a in three year. But you tell me all not going to have one you convince me saying, Kentucky at attendant three year because I just went ten and thirty. Excellent. Excellent point. I, we'll go rising. I feel like auburn's gonna get one. I mean it's crazy. To think all burn football has averaged five losses a year. The last three years 'cause that if you had asked me, what has auburn's record been last three years. And I didn't look it up. I would have thought they probably lost three to four games a year. I would've never thought it was five. So I feel like they'll get up to that next level. And it'll be like four three two four instead of four to five and when I picked Alabama as falling I have Auburn winning one there, too. So I'll go you think Auburn beats Alabama once in the next three years robberies too big. I think I don't Auburn this year. What is the gap between Auburn? And Alabama now has it been is this. The biggest the gap has been in the last ten years. Yeah, the gaps big just those revelry games happen. But wouldn't you say this is the biggest the gap has been? Yes, I think so because five years ago, it felt like they were one in one a and now they're not one at. So this is probably the biggest the gap..

And then the freshman. Isaiah Joe hit three three pointers in the last. Couple of minutes to close the gap to only one at halftime. Erin niece, but picked up his four semi Shittu picked up his fourth. But the Commodores got those guys back into the game. And we're really able to play all the way through until save and found out in the final minute of play Arkansas led by ten midway through the second-half. Within the cobbler's put on a rally led by the senior show toy a couple of three pointers. Joe had four three pointers on the evening as Vanderbilt came back. Took the lead briefly. It went back and forth. The final couple of minutes. Arkansas gets a big three pointer by the freshman for them Embry Simpson to take the lead and that Sabin Lee prior to that was called for a foul or at right after that three was called for a foul and offensive foul that was his fifth that sent Mason Jones a later on to the line is he was fouled. He made two free throws to make it a three point game. Cobblers got a pretty decent. Look with about three seconds left. Matt Ryan three from the right wing bounced off the right side of the iron. No good and the Razorbacks escape with a three point victory by a score.

But to get hit a team to play together. Get a boob is one. And again, it's really not. I always the biggest word in our vocabulary is is not as easy as some people with takes a lot of coachee. It takes cooperation from the players. They've got to lack a better terminology by they've got to join the group wholeheartedly so at that point time voluntary cooperation they are doing it because they see the goal as a team. "In the one sixties AD, the Roman empire was locked in a series of wars and wounded soldiers brought home a plague of smallpox was ravaging the city, but emperor Marcus are really still held the people's favor. He descended to the throne from an elected position in the Senate. And despite the empire's problems, he was considered a wise and just ruler from childhood communists, was groomed to be as grand an emperor as his father, Marcus Aurelius was the first emperor in generations to have a legitimate son, and he planned on bringing back the old tradition of rule by birthright communists, was trained by the best masters in all realms of study. But early on the boy proved to have a cruel streak in his nature. One day when communists was twelve one of his slaves. Drew him bath. When the young emperor got into the water. He felt it was too cold. So without compunction, he ordered that. The slave be cast into the furnace on another occasion. The young communists used a scalpel to cut open a man's belly simply to satisfy his curiosity about what was inside his teachers could only stand by and watch as he unfurled the man's intestines despite all of his worrying behavior. A really promoted his son to the rank of Imperatore on November twenty seventh one seventy six AD making him second in command of Rome's army. Commodore was only fifteen the youngest console in Roman history only year after that communist was made co emperor ruling alongside his father in one eighty are really has died leaving eighteen year old Commodores as the sole emperor. In his final moments, Marcus Aurelius might have dreamed that his son would lead Rome into a bright new era comedies would be the first biological air to take the throne in over a hundred years and his father had done everything to prepare him for the responsibility. These hopes did not come to pass Commodores proved to be a worse disease upon Rome than the plague rather than actually ruling his domain communists spent his days at the Coliseum watching gladiator battles. He wasn't content to simply watch sometimes he would enter the arena himself, and brutally murdered his opponents before the screaming crowd during his reign communists fought in over seven hundred and thirty five gladiator battles against both men and animals, he brought exotic beasts into the Coliseum lions elephants. Hippos ostriches gazelles and Tigers and massacred them all one ancient historian Roach, quote such was his prowess in the slaying of wild beasts that he wants transfixed an elephant with poll Pierce to gazelles horn with a spear and on a thousand occasions dispatched a mighty beast with a single blow. He often invited gladiators to his home to practice an offer that meant certain death. No one dared to defeat the emperor in battle not with his guards stationed around the perimeter of the room once they surrendered communists would slay them without an ounce of mercy his cruelty aired into the Macab communists delighted in mocking decorum indecency once at a state dinner Commodore served up to live Hunchback men on silver platters, both of the men covered in mustard at another banquet. He forced to men with dwarfism to fight to the death with butcher knives. Atop the banquet table Commodores ate greedily as they battled ignoring the guts of blood that splattered onto his plate. Commodores was known to round up women he found desirable and force them into his harem. He would wander the streets and command his guards to abduct any women that caught his fancy, and as we mentioned earlier after his cousin Quadra dis tried to assassinate him in one eighty two. He got the last laugh by taking quadrajet says lover Marsha as a concubine, but Marsha proved to be much stronger and smarter than comedies head intimidated rather than let the kidnapping break her spirit, Marsha maneuvered her way into a position of influence. She had the emperor's ear and before he knew it..

"Now, having said, all that a year ago today we did our show from Nashville. They were undefeated and many felt they had a shot at hanging with Alabama. They got run over the. They never looked the same of how important is this moment for them coming off that confidence builder, but still lost to take care of business tomorrow afternoon. You know, I think it's important more than anything else because coach Mason talked about this today. He hasn't opened up league play with the victory yet since he's been here at Vanderbilt and they have not gotten a victory over South Carolina. Six coach Mason has been here with the Commodores. They feel like things are different, and they refused to say that there are any moral victories. They feel like that's for a mindset of yesteryear. That's not the way they think about football in the season and their prospects for success around this Vanderbilt program anymore. Certainly they don't want that level of mentality. So it is a different animal this go around and let's be real. Notre Dame this year was not what Alabama was last year. These are entirely different experiences, but to speak to where this program is. This opportunity is big and it's big more than anything they want to open up that division play with the victory so they can set the tone for the balance of the season. When they look at what they have left over here on their SEC schedule, they need to start it off. Well, something they have not been. Able to do under Derek Mason so far. Big game tomorrow for both programs, of course, and Matt will be part of the broadcast. He Matt, thanks, appreciate your time today. We are live in Tuscaloosa where. The sun keeps beating down on some of our friends behind. And if you think the sun is beating down on them, let's go next to Lance who is up next Lance. The Greg Byrne will join us in a moment. "Knock it up. Rep it down. Oh, no. That is that bell biv development is. Good. It's nice. They are half of mint condition condition. No, they were in addition, yes. There's so many conditioning think is from the seventies, oh, I give so many issues. I can't so many. Collision. I've never even heard of that Hamadeh listen that no tizzy Commodores action in syncopation. You are creating some fantasy band tuition. Boys intuition. Okay. You ready for some serious shit. Oh shit. Yeah. Sorry because this is the serious, but of course we always make it not serious is they'll giggle, see, right. So okay, so I'm doing this because it's very timely because it is August thirty first that we're recording this and this happened. So let's just do so. August twenty. Ninth was the forty yesterday two days ago. Okay, because today's the thirty first dove. Yeah, you know your numbers girl trying to he's on it. Y'all. I dunno where I'm at. Okay. So August twenty. Nine hundred forty, six anniversary of the Takarno moratorium. So what was the Chicano moratorium which you're saying accurately? God. Very interesting itself. Also, I wanna give a shoutout to corner kid Ryan crystal. He sent this to me. I know you and I really enjoyed it. And if you guys want to hear more about him, he's an episode or team member. I think it was thirteen. We are. Would have been unlucky episode, but he made it lucky us. Great. Anyways, he is sending stuff and I am using it. So basically the Takarno moratorium was the largest anti Vietnam war demonstration by any minority group in the United States. Wow. None of us know about this shit again, like how I felt so bad. Like Latino Americans have been just left out completely of the history books. We don't share all we know about Cesar. Chavez was his great, but there's more to the as lot. Okay. So this event was held in east LA and there's about twenty to thirty thousand people who were mostly Mexican American at this demonstration. Yeah. Okay. So it was spearheaded by the Chicano movement, which was like a civil rights movement group that I popped up around the sixties in the seventies. They began to notice rising casualties in the war of Vietnam war of Latin nex soldiers, right. Okay. So in nineteen hundred. Seventy. When this took place about ten percent of the south western population was Mexican American. Okay. And it's important that I point out that south western because that's right next to Mexico. So that's where the largest population of Mexican Americans would be at. Right. So tell me why twenty percent of the Vietnam cazar teas were Mexican American. That was make sense theory. Yeah, but I'm sure you're right with that theory. Okay. So why is that right? In order to be drafted into the Vietnam war, and there was a draft you had to be eighteen in a man, but you got out of it if you're a college student. Okay. So Mexican Americans at the time, they had a high high school dropout rate break along with other minority. They weren't even getting into college, weren't even getting into college, making them right for the picking for the draft. Right. So why were they dropping at a high school? So some of the reasons inner city schools didn't instill don't. Let's be honest, don't encourage students of color to attend college. Right. What I was saying this is still reminds you the same thing that John Leguizamo was talking about and the still happening. We're Latino students are still having high high high school. Dropout rates. You know part of it? Well, he was according to their histories, invisible part of their history that is invisible, which if you taught this, it might make them me like Bucknell. I'm going to stay in school, right? Be more empowered and it goes beyond like one. Obviously, if you're Latino student and you're hearing this is going to give you some impairment than any other student in your hearing this is going to give you some impairment. Absolutely. So I'd like to point out that people of color can get inspired by white stories. Why can't wipe people get inspired by people of color stories. So watch bad moms and get inspired from that. I didn't even see that I did. I went because not to derail, but. You're going to buy win because it was like there was that was like I like to support my female comedians. I saw Ghostbusters, right. I saw lady goes posters. And they saw bad moms, and I thought it was interesting..
