Irony is Out (with Raven Leilani)

"Did the hipster burn his tongue on his coffee? Because he drank it before it was cool. I feel like a grandpa repeating that old joke. But that was the mood around me when I was first getting into like twitter. So much of listening to music or being a consumer of movies or art fashion whatever was about snobbery an irony getting the things I like cool. Weird things before anybody else. But as culture does I feel like there's pendulum swing now in the other direction. Where we're all like you know what rules? Phil Collins. An animal crossing and crocs feeling we just don't have the energy for snobbery anymore. I mean I don't. I want the comfort food of culture. You're right that definitely is more in invoke more so than when I was twenty right but ten years ago and author Raven Leilani is here for it. earnestness is a vulnerable and overt way of interacting with the world I feel like it is a way of of being that is against self protection i. feel like there's this sort of cool practiced earnestness. The kind that is like pretending you're not wearing makeup when you're actually wearing makeup that looks like you're not wearing makeup and then there's real earnestness. That is just your bare pockmarked skin open to the world exposing who you really are. You're Dorky Weirdo self the way I learned to interact with things. I loved was I through fandom that sort of what's beautiful to me? About loving thing and engaging with with other people who love it through that love as opposed to What you don't like about it math what you were a fan of a lot of things I grew up. Playing. Jr. PG. I grew up our Japanese role playing games. Okay. I grew up watching a lot a lot of anime. And my brother too he passed down his comic books to me for safekeeping. When he left the house, you know being able to escape into those imagined worlds and feel feel comfort there and with fandom. Perhaps. Any hesitation I have is rooted in like the old teenage adolescent fear of a when that was private almost shameful thing but it's not private anymore Raven Leilani. Is debut novel. Luster is full of things that have once maybe ten years ago been considered guilty pleasures. Her main character he is a bit of a centralist, a hedonist. You peer into her brain and you have this totally open look into everything. We normally keep private each smarts down sticky fried foods has risky ill advised sex with her co workers she blasts disco music in her rat infested apartment. She's also a nerd and a fan, and she loves all that Dorky JR type. You know the way that manifest in the book is disco. Manifest is fandom is comecon but were you at all? Hesitant. About coming out as like a fan of all this ernest stuff. Yeah I mean I a little bit because I. think that. When you claim the things you love out loud. It opens you up for criticism in a different way. You know it does, and for judgment in a different way I think that's right like you the things the. Ernest parts of ourselves that we keep private. We keep private because we are because we worry about the way that judgment will re contextualised that desire and. Maybe, make it a shameful thing. And so in a way in a way, I was worried but I think I've gotten to a point where there's just so much. I feel like I've hardened I, feel like I've become more cynical in a way and so the parts of myself that are still ernest like I cling to you know the parts of myself that are that are Ernest, I? Feel. It's necessary to to fly that flag because I think those. those joys are are rare and unkind of a few and far between. I mean you bring if there's really interesting question like. Do we need the barrier the barrier between like that true soft part of ourselves and our heart external selves in some ways I want to be like, Hey, the barriers dead let's all just show arse off sides and be Super Ernest now like that's also privacy. Of Two minds and both minds are coming. Are Within the head of a black woman civil I will say that. I greatly. Value my privacy. I mean I do. I think that it there's something about having a safe space that is separate. From the kind of brutality of of the outside world and I really want a world where black women don't have to be hard.

Interview With Sean Astin

"Sean Astin lamented on his character in the strain. Poor Jim Kent everything for my character point of view. So the fact that he releases illegally the coffin with the master and it to go from the cargo hold across the bridge into Manhattan thereby unleashing pandemic that could wipe out all soon as they civilization. I don't think necessarily means he's back on. The Jim. Clearly? Likes to serve he serves after Stolz character You know as an attendant as an aide kind of like semi-skimmed, even Lord of the rings type. But I remember access. Folks nobody but you know that idea that you need milk you need. Diagrams you need whatever you need. I'M GONNA figure it out to get to you in that and so doing my work with the CDC is GonNa help people can help people. So the fact that he has this. Weird Choices Weird Act of of of of badness. this sort of. I'm not sure that it's an evil act. You've got to wonder what what they have on him. You know why he doesn't seem happy about it and the pilot when he when he does, he lets them through he's complaining about having to do it. So he's he's a morally compromised right away. You know he's a morally compromised guy, but the question will become. Like is, is it forgivable can affect Nora forgive him forty stunned, Kim well, the audience forgive him what he's done the why asked to some of his choices will come in the series? Yes. Soon, it's coming out soon third fourth fifth episode it becomes clear Because it's so immediate this this plague is happening instantly and. Jim Kent as part of the team that's on the leading edge of it and so. Not. Unlike, the vampires it's going to, it's going to reveal itself quickly. And then what the pandemic becomes is you know take place over time, but with Jim. Because they work. So closely together, you know you can't get away with too much for too long without I mean is going to go to the dark side is going to become like a like you were suggesting. Inappropriately. He's A. Hey. Totally evil character or he you know I think the reason Guillermo and called and liked me for the part was they know that I'm that I play these characters that are likable characters and that if they put a negative spin on it a a bad choice that. It might retain a level of Tension you know people might send people the fans here. COMECON have been coming up to me, and then like you're such a good bad guy you. But the way they're saying it it's like they don't want. They don't like it. They like it. They don't like it, which is great and Jim can't does have some tough choices right away. Yeah. Well Yeah. Because at a certain point, people get compromised along the way you know Jim is a pretty. Pretty obvious case right up front for the audience who can see you let in on what he does You know it's it doesn't seem wouldn't seem Beijing pilots malevolence there. But like how far would you go? What would the stakes to be in order for you to you know go to the dark side in order for you to try and save yourself at the expense of others. That's really what it becomes at a at a certain point these empires start. Multiplying because, that's what they are they multiply. You know they can die but essentially. Either civilization wins over the vampires the vampire it's not. She's never going to be a balance between them. The questions you know, where are you on the continual? Cool Thank you. Thank you. Could sense the movement. Two years. Look for the strain wherever you get your digital

ComiCon on the radio

"We're going to pay homage to one knee of American beloved Pop Culture Festival. Today in digital topics was supposed to start this week but got put off like many other public gatherings the agenda included native comics food cost play celebrities and an eventful panel discussion many different ones including one like surviving Zombie Apocalypse. If you're stuck at home and need a new vibe what about learning out on comics movies and video games. We're going to help with that today with a sampling of what was on the menu at indigenous indigenous. Pop X. and you might see When it is rescheduled We'll talk with the festival's energetic and optimistic. Founder Wall also have an expert on indigenous Geek Culture and we have a special surprise celebrity guest. And we'd like to hear from you. What indigenous Pop Culture? Are you consuming during the numerous? Stay at home orders. Phone lines are open for you. The number to join us is one eight hundred nine six two eight four eight and with us on the line right now. At Albuquerque New Mexico Dr Lee Francis the fourth he is the CEO and founder of Nita realities in the director of indigenous pop ex and he is from the Pueblo of Laguna. Our pleasure to have him here. Thanks for being with us today. Lee Hello thank you for having me today From from right from right around the corner. It's weird I don't get to be in studio for this today. The everything's gone off shaken up. We're all apart from each other so I was like. Oh that I had one of those little emoji tears and I don't get to see you. I don't get to see your face. Oh well you know Lee so much is just changing Transitioning and there's lots to think about and I was thinking about this When the decision came to postpone it and thinking about this time of year and we've followed indigenous comecon since its beginning now. We were going to jump into in digit pop ex. And there's a lot that happens Lee Go ahead and just give folks who have never experienced it before What this is all about in in how? We went from indigenous COMECON to indigenous Pop X. So four years ago we started the indigenous COMECON in Albuquerque. As a way to bring together not only made of nerds. But to sh- I mean that's the most important part of our community but also to showcase to the world The the amazing things that native creatives have been doing Within within the pop culture realm so film and television science fiction fantasy a video games table talk games and of course comic books the big mainstay of what we did. And and we had You're one who was you know and we've always followed. The setup is panels and workshops We had a vendor hall of Native Comic Book Artist and regular artists and artists. The ball type and Just nerds you know wandering around We had films Film and television so we download a bunch of that cost play as well. Big Big component of that And and I think every year we've grown from that original That original in relation incarnation of the COMECON and kind of coming into this last year. We we imagined this continuation of bigger festival. And and we had a water resources and support to move into downtown Albuquerque and You know the whole thing for this year. As sort of the flagship of indicia pop bax was really to create this dynamic event where we had food at one venue. We had the comic con weekend at another. We had an indigenous future. `ISMs days At a third venue and then we were doing film and Television at a fourth venue and So we're really trying to create this really awesome like fun and Funky Downtown Festival with the sport of Kirke and and you know the the folks that were there and Yeah that was that was kind of how it's grown and it's been this wonderful food last year. We had wrestling like You know native wrestlers. Ww style wrestlers You know we had a fashion show so like all. This stuff was really the ideas. How are we showcasing the spaces where natives are not perceived in Popular Culture I mean we. We're always historic sized. So this idea of like there's amazing native chef that are creating these and television. There's you know native native folks doing film and Television. You know in various roles. There's natives writing at scifi digital future `ISMs so that's that's the evolution into we would. Was it that really to the point where you decided you know what we can't be doing this on our scheduled date we've been looking at it for. I mean the Ford. The governor made the announcement here in New Mexico and everything sort of fell apart. We had that sort of we had that sort of doomed hopefulness where it was like. Maybe it'll miss us. Maybe it won't happen in New Mexico if we can just make it to this weekend. We'll be fine but we already kind of seen the writing on the wall We had made some arrangements. A lot of this stuff has to do with just logistics around venues and postponing with venues. And making sure everybody's aware of everything so there was a lot of behind the scenes that was going on and a lot of scrambling and But but ultimately it came down to this decision We want to protect their community We have a lot of vendors and what a family members and we didn't want them to in any way have to carry the burden of you know trying to be at this event and then potentially going home To their elders and to their family members and you know may or may not. It's a question mark as they would be bringing as as we've turned it in our pop culture world Mr Nineteen Back Lick them So I think that's That was that was the ultimate decision and You know it's it's one of those ones very heartfelt for us We we don't take we don't take it. We didn't take canceling lightly. Because we know there's a lot of economics obviously circumstance changed immediately because everything's close But for us you know we were day one. We're we'RE NOT WE'RE OUT. We're GonNa try and figure something else out and We decided to go digital. So that's what we are this weekend in so it seems so appropriate to even just go this route Given you know what is being discussed in and just how innovative. The folks who make it to indigenous COMECON seemed to be with discussions as well as the mediums. They're working in. And so what is planned for this week? It's already started. As a matter of fact we we went live this morning Live streaming live. Live tape live right. I guess I don't know if there's a paradox the etc So we're streaming right now On our facebook page and You know we too. We got a bunch of our presenters To give us you know To tape in their living rooms to do their presentations for US online. And we cut it all and it's like three and a half hours of programming today and then we gotta make another three hours of programming tomorrow. Which was it was a little sample of everything we were going to do this weekend. And you know that's that's what we have in in mind starting today the run through tomorrow and Yeah it's it's I think it's a way that we continue to keep you know. Keep tending the fire and and also this trend. You know like when I was thinking about it was like transition was like now we're digital natives. Anyway we're we're we're futurists. That's that's how we exist and what a better way. What what better way to showcase native identity and natives in the future then doing something digital and we've seen a lot of the other convention to do this you know it's not like it's super unique to us but I think it continues to aligned with the you know the efforts energy the backbone of what we've been trying to do within digital x. Well now it's a it. X.'s did you pop X.'s digital feature stays so. It's a chance for folks to you know you're on facebook. Throw some is on it right like you know. That's what people do you know. Just their social media style and and you can And you get to join in and see really cool native folks doing really cool native things pige really

Sony Skips E3 2020! Does Sony Even Need E3?

"Are are doing a Sony event? We saw a story about this recently. They are doing a Sony playstation experience in the store from now until mid February. Sorry right until you off the PS four this sort of reaction videos have just replaced that crowd thing and you get the same exact result but with a controlled piece of marketing that yet. But I liked it. Like Nintendo world store is like there's a bunch of toys and stuff like it's a toy store it's all Nintendo anybody in their loves Nintendo. You can go to the Sony store like buying a Bluetooth speaker. And there's a bunch of people losing their lose out mine. I crash bandicoot total tangents. My Dad used to work across the street from the Sony store so whenever it was like the summer and I'd go in for data the New York City with him. I'd go over there and on one side of play these new exciting games on the PS three. And there's a starbucks there and I can get a cool Frappuccino. Ali Play but also on the other side you can watch crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon massive. TV Vietnam have. You considered a micro. Yeah it was like okay. I don't really WANNA laptop. Just WanNa keep playing guitar hero. But I'll do this so we'll see if they turn that they do have another Sony. The venue in New York that they use they might start to do stuff. They're more frequently will see also kind of shifted a bit to being more. You're europe-centric yeah there's there's games com which is massive vendor's Paris Games week which they've had a big presence before I still felt like they want to spread things out. They're going to be a Taipei game show and a couple of weeks. We keep sort of like very very much alluding to the fact that a lot of the stems from the idea that the asa is maybe a little prickly and maybe the show has gotten sort of out of control expensive but the last three press conference got from Sony was kind of a messy one and I think that maybe that made maybe broke them for a bit and made them go back to the drawing board on everything. Yeah we're talking about the God of war thing. Our favorite moments were not from that one. No twenty which is where the show has it has great stuff in it but it was like. Here's all all of us in a church listening to the last of a score. Quick break to this other place. where the sharing Arisen Nevil to trailer? Now we have SID Shuman over there on another stage talking about God of war new game plus okay back inside to another location. It was a very weird still did experience that I do agree with you. I think that really turn them off. The idea like okay we need to readjust what we're doing right totally totally I mean. I imagine the amount of moving parts in planning something like that took. I've heard from like insiders and friends at work at big publishers that e three the press conference planning and rehearsals take place months and months. Show like the the writing and this and the opening and also the amount of moving parts and something like that were at a game at the last second will be like ooh. We're not ready. We read the e three and comecon live show for Aegean and it's like it is nerve racking and it is a lot of planning and inevitably fifteen fifteen different things go wrong every twenty minutes. Yeah yeah and that's without an audience on hand out like the scale of that without people from all over the world coming into like work on it and so we don't have like exclusive world. We're like a dog and pony show by comparison ethic they're like we'll have corpses hanging from the ceiling and then we're going to have the entire crowd walked to the next theater hitter. A bunch of bamboo forest. What now i Sony can control it? They can make sure nothing. Weird happens like that ever again unless they want it to and so the thing is when they. I pulled out of three last year. We were all bummed but that was also because it coincided with them pulling like ending essentially sunsetting sidelining. PS X. for awhile and and so all of their sort of direct connection with like some sort of actual living breathing audience was gone in the same year and we got the state plays blaze which is a great sort of like replacement. But we didn't. We didn't really have anything that was sort of just like here's an event. Yeah and there's no humanity to Sony right now like no disrespect to all the people working there of course but in the same way that Microsoft can bring out Phil Spencer and instantly. The xbox audience knows him or I mean there's countless executives at Nintendo but doug bows. We're now Beltran so many other people especially tree house. They saw me a moto kicking. He's still pops up every now and then. It was like I went fishing. Here's a new fitness game. And this this Sony statement mentioned are focused on making sure fans feel part of the playstation family and have access to play their favorite content. I would hope that means a bit of a more face to face ace relationship. Obviously her host is now the head of worldwide studios. Shuhei has taken a different position when it comes to indies. That's his focus for now and we don't have laden anymore. He obviously he was but he didn't really have this persona for the he for the Playstation audience. Excuse me he would come out maybe twice a year and I ah. I think what's crazy about all that is I think that they they will once again someday. kind of like bring that back up and or maybe not because it's like maybe that's not necessary anymore. Yeah maybe you don't think it distracts you don't need like sort of like you know not like just sort of like a celebrity figurehead or something. I don't know if that's even unnecessary cool. Yeah exactly I mean. We went from like a man and abandoned. Who'd costume to like pretend businessman with Kevin Butler to like actual businessmen who'd come out announcing maybe their job should be to do the business stuff than to come out and show stuff? I don't know it's no. It is odd that people who are in very executive high level roles. Also have to in this this field be a persona and out there. That is a very unique thing. Yeah Yeah I mean no matter what like you need. Somebody needs to count at the game awards except apt something for something event right and a lot of times. It's people who are behind the scenes making art all year and music and mission and they and they're like thanks you you know as opposed to. I mean like if a one brothers movies when a movie wins at the Oscars the president of Warner Brothers doesn't come out on stage right whereas like Phil Spencer would probably come out on stage for an next big win for you'll get a director and actor who's used to working in front of a big room full of people on. Yeah Yeah No. It's it's really interesting. I think one thing I wanted to say was I think this makes the Sort of Kind of cat and mouse game of chicken with xbox all the more fascinating in terms of who says what and when when we'll get pricing announcements on next console stuff is now totally up in the air. Yeah and I do want to get to some thoughts about when the timing of that will be. I did WANNA ask one other sort Sony thing before we jump ship to another topic but in terms of what he three his representative for a lot of people that has been. Here's when the mainstream pays attention to games. That is often a big selling point. We talked about it. It's like the USA. Today is in the Times of the World Look Games for this week and we said that a bunch of the office like people say that offhandedly and I was thinking about that a lot. I wrote a piece on Nigerian about this. I don't think that's true anymore. And especially see that with the way place. He shouldn't have ruled out. PS Five News. The first major beats of news were from wired magazine using not from playstation. I what do you guys think about. You know the need for the mainstream eighty three. I think Sony if they want them can just go to them. I think that we are no longer sort sort of like a hobby enthusiasts corner show you know just like a bunch of people being like pay attention to us. Yeah it's I think there's a lot of work to be done and and a lot of strides to make but I think in a lot of ways we sort of punch through that layer and we are somewhere now where we don't don't necessarily need mainstream him to pay attention to us but be they'll they'll look either way because it's going to happen and there's going to be announcements all year long thing is that Three is very much structured to be like. Hey it's June here's stuff that's coming out in November through December and it's that doesn't exist anymore and come out year round. It's a nonstop kind of just factories. A conveyor belt kind of yeah other than July every I mean you can take our commercials during the Oscars and the Super Bowl and all these other tentpole events that happened the world series the NBA finals. We that happened a lot actually. Yeah it's weird because like as star wars fans were maximum. Rose grumbling that we have to like look at like some football game once here ear and be like you're making me watch football so the new star wars trailer but like it happens. I think we talked about this. A few weeks back with the last of us but like that's obviously one of playstation the biggest games that are probably be a spot for that in the Super Bowl or championship game. That'll be the first time a last of US fan probably hears about the last of us just because of the way they're tuned in the industry. Yeah you can reach people a lot of different ways now and it doesn't have to be at three. Yeah you have one hundred plus million. ps four is out there. You can start there like yeah put it on the going back to the textbook comparison like the way that spreading information was in nineteen ninety-five like things were a lot slower. And now it's like I don't know I was looking at read it on my phone. The other day and I was was like how people used to read magazines kind of bored eating a salad. And you pick up a thing. I will read this but the differences is constantly updating constantly changing. And Yeah you know. There's that it kind of viral stuff where somebody sees something that makes them think of someone else. Now like share this with that person like people will just actively send each other clippings so it's crazy how McConnell to rent floorspace and pay thousands of dollars for carpet. You're going to use for a week. So it's definitely sort of outdated way at pershing delivering misinformation And before we get to the playstation and xbox question of it all I do WanNa talk briefly about what this means for three because very pointedly in that statement Playstation statement says we have great respect for the ASA as an organization but we do not feel the vision of two thousand twenty. Is the right venue for what we are focused on this year. They're focused on two major first party games coming out before the end of the summer with ghosts and the last part two plus dreams and MLB and then the PS five and this has been a show in traditionally where you do show new consoles so if that's not fitting with what E.. Three is to one of the council makers feels to me like E.. Three isn't a bit of a weird

2 Vaseline Alternatives to Break Your Toxic Petroleum Jelly Addiction

"Have an email I keep. I've I've been listening to your podcasts. For about six months or so I've been meaning to email you. Nearly every night will putting on my bedtime face. I think of something. Kate mentioned a while ago regarding her addiction. To vaseline Vaseline I too was vastly addict since childhood. About two years ago I started replacing quote toxic self-care items with safer sustainable alternatives. And I have two suggestions suggestions for Kate. One wack selene and or to healthy shelley. By third day naturals. Both products are readily available on Amazon. I find them both to be pretty comparable to or even better than Bassolino without the petroleum. Give them a try. My Lips Ne'er shall touch Veselin again and so dory doesn't feel left out. I have a quick story for her and her husband my current partner. I met back in two thousand eleven. Due in part to Matt Myra we we're in a long line at comic con has been that's excuse me. Yes Dory's husband. Check out a recent episode in which we interviewed him. We were in a long line at COMECON to see a live recording meeting of the podcast. That Matt was on at the time I noticed and we ended up sitting together chatting and going out for beers that night after the convention and many long distance conversations. It's my partner ended up moving across the country to be with me and we've been together ever since for eight years in a time when it can be hard to meet people. I am so thankful for communities that come together around a shared love Phantom or in this case podcasts. So sweet such a sweet love story. I told him when I was going through a Notes for this episode. I read this and I called Matt over and I read it to him. Someone touch they found found love at a podcast recording. Yeah they said they had like they've had proposals at live shows Yeah there's a lot of love in the air that's cool. I like take that as for Vassil. Lean yeah as for these facile lean alternatives. Look as mentioned many times on this podcast cast. I'm obsessed with Selene so much so that they heard that and sent me like some handlers which was very nice. Thank you Selene Corporation. I will try these two products out listener. I will buy them try them and will report back. Because I have tried other things. Nothing can come also you know. As did we talk about this with chemists confessions we did and they were like like nbd. Yeah so maybe we don't need to be freaking out about Bass Lean. I don't know I don't have the answers. I don't even try whack. Selene and I will try healthy jelly

Yeah so Scott Erickson who directed the first doctor strange film and and as of yes or all the way up until yesterday was attached and announced in all of that stuff to be directing the doctor strange sequel. He announced on twitter marble and I have mutually agreed agreed to part ways on doctor strange in the multi of madness due to creative differences. I am thankful for our collaboration and will remain on as EP. So that's that's executive producer. That's kind of an interesting thing. In and of itself took a lot of times when people have creative differences they just like split entirely. I'm wondering if it has something to do with. Maybe like a store like just a the development process in like how much work was put into the movie if marvel sort of like throwing him a bone for the work that he did their contractual to like. He's going to get money on this and it was probably part of this deal with the first one. If they made a sequel that he would remain main honest producer. Right Right James Gone. I think was going to be producer on guardians. Three after he was fired right which brings us to the question. How many marvel directors have been have like they weren't he wasn't fired they have split the both agreed flint? Right right. Yeah it's pretty rare for marvel studios goes to part ways with directors like this like. I think it's only happened twice so far with thor. The dark world where Patty Jenkins was originally announced. And then Alan Taylor ended up coming on directing that movie. And then the original ant man which Edgar Right was famously on board to make for years and years and then ended up stepping away. Sort of at the last minute and taking ended ended up coming in and he's become director for for all three of those franchise entries the third one is is upcoming but This is one of those turned out. Good one of those turned out bad What does this mean for? Why do you think Scott Dirksen left this? Because there's there's a couple theories he's going around the Internet. There's obviously when this was first announced. There was at a Scott. COMECON this year I think Derek San Rafael our fight. He was talking about how this is going to be kind of horror film of sorts. Yeah they said it was basically going to be like the first scary movie and the MC you and there've been a couple of stories about that where I think have himself has been talking about how Dr Strange supposed to have you know horror elements but not like full on horror movie. I it's never been like. The new mutants was originally sort of pitched as like a horror movie in the X.. Men World it's never been as explicit that I think he has his call. Hollowed out like You know the ending of Raiders Lost Ark and like things like Made some of the Amblin productions like that level of Scary stuff within a larger adventure story. So yeah I guess one of those theories you're talking about is that maybe Scott Erickson. WHO's more of a whore guy himself? He's directed the exorcism of Emily. Rosen sinister and movies like that Maybe he wanted to push the horror a little bit more than marble was interested in pushing it and that could be where those creative differences lie. Do you have another theory. Peter I have one. What will the other thing is that? That's interesting about the theory is fight. He's done some interviews recently where quick you mentioned he's kind of walked back the the the horror angle of that even though they lead with that at at COMECON so that's what why people are leading to that but the other theory is that this film film is going to tie into the Disney plus Empty you universe. was that what you were going to mention. It was yeah because like this sequel is really being positioned positioned more than any of the other Announced Movies of the MC you as like a very important thing to the future of what marvel is doing because Feigen has talked about. Ah being basically like a creative linchpin he said the multi versus the next step in evolution of the MC. You and doctor strange in the multi. Madison's GonNa crack it open in ways that will have repercussions Russians and he's talking about repercussions for like the movies after it as well as the Disney plus series that you mentioned one division the Elizabeth Olsen Paul all Bethany Disney plus show and low key. The one with Tom Huddleston where he's reprising. His villain role are both going to tie into the movie doctors trained to you in some way. So maybe it's a case of like derricks in just being overwhelmed with the amount of requirements in terms of like this grand designs of the story. I don't want to put that on him. That's completely speculation. He'd be totally fine with that. I'm just sort of looking at it from the outside in with our limited perspective. Respective here just thinking about potential obstacles that he could or that that marvel could encounter here. That could be something like that but I guess Swab to wait and see if if any more official information ever comes out about why they ended up parting ways in this capacity

Beyond the Helmet Hit: Who is Myles Garrett?

"Myles Garrett delivered enact that will define him for the rest of his. NFL career from now on no matter what he does people will always remember myles Garrett Eric as the guy that could have killed football player on a football field by taking his helmet and swinging it like a weapon. Brown's defensive end myles Garrett has appealed suspension for striking steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph in the head with his own helmet. Who is the player behind that violent image Mitch burned into fans minds? ESPN's Ryan Smith sat down for extensive interviews with Garrett before this fateful season began today today. The story of mild-mannered pass rusher. WHO's now at the center of a football firestorm? It's Thursday November twenty first. I mean this is. ESPN daily presented by Dell small-business yesterday myles myles Garrett went to New York to appeal his suspension. What happened but let's remember this all stems from the game Thursday Night Ryan Smith is a correspondent and legal analyst for ESPN CLEVELAND Browns? Pittsburgh steelers and in the final seconds Mason Rudolph and myles Garrett get into who it and myles Garrett pulls off Mason Rudolph Helmet and hits them with and getting in there was myles Garrett. Ain't took the helmet off off and slammed him on the top of the head. Oh my goodness data and Garett an indefinite suspension at minimum suspended for the rest of the season and the playoffs offs myles Garrett is agent his lawyers they all met in front of an appointed artless common arbitrator for this James Thrash. A person I would hear this case former. NFL Player and presented his case. Any argued from precedent. He basically said that a couple years back. You're a player for the Texans. Antonio Smith swung his helmet at then. Offensive Lineman Richie Incognito for the dolphins and that earned Smith a two game suspension during the preseason and a one game regular season suspension so for Garrett and his people the arguments simple. That's what happened the last time something like this this happened. And that's what should happen for me. Knock a lengthy suspension. I'm getting right now Ryan Myles Garrett. Wasn't the only player involved in the news this today. Mason Rudolph also gave a statement from my involvement. Last week there is no acceptable. Excuse the bottom line is I should have done a better job keeping my composure. In that situation and fall short when I believe it means it'd be a Pittsburgh steeler a member of the NFL. What did you make of that? Here Mason Rudolph is on the day that myles Garrett is having his appeal hearing and he gets up in front of everybody and he apologizes for his. Is Babe you're in this. I found this stunning here. You've got a guy accused of attacking another guy getting lengthy suspension for it and on the day of the hearing the person who arguably I guess you could say has been victimized comes up and talks about his part in it and almost in some ways exonerates the aggressor and in a way showed that. Hey we all had a role in this and nobody should be excused. Everybody has a little bit of blame. I have no ill will towards myles Garrett great respect for his ability as a player and I know this you know if miles could go back you would handle the situation differently Ryan part of the reason I wanted to talk about this story with you is that you spend a lot of time with myles Garrett. You interviewed him for sixty this summer. You got to know him so I was wondering wondering where were you when you first saw the incident. And what was your reaction. I was at home and I was just kind of hanging out flipping through the channels stop by ESPN. And I see something involving myles Garrett and I. It doesn't really compute to me what I'm looking at. But then as I looked closer I realize is exactly what he did. And and I'm hearing the commentary I'm hearing the outrage but the first word that popped in my mind was why I would never ever in any way. Excuse the conduct. It's just an excusable no matter what happened but I spent better couple days with them in our reporting for east sixty and this was a guy who's introverted. This was a guy who in some ways is mild mannered. Heard if you can believe it and this was about as far as anything I would expect from myles Garrett based on the Guy I know what is it that brought him to this point. Well who has the guy you knew. What was it like when you met him? You know what's so interesting. I got to tell you the very first time I met him. He walks downstairs to sit in our interview chair. And he's wearing a queen shirt. He starts talking about Queen loves the group loves. The music is imploring me to go see the movie that kind of is myles Garrett in a nutshell he's exactly nothing like what you would expect from a guy who replays the way he does who appears the way he is his interest are so wide ranging. It was nothing like anything I ever expected. He loves poetry a tree. He's been writing poetry since he was a boy emslie. He walks among the missed unseen. Two most he doesn't exist. He loves COMEX. He's going to comecon this year to attend some events somewhere down the line. I left to go and not to species for. Hey I'm just here to house and finally the costumes. Maybe one day no just myself. He wanted to dress dragon. Ball Z. Character he he loves anime things like that at the beginning of the interview he said to me I was a boy who report Mama for other man to play Publ Myles Myles Garrett. The person is far different from myles Garrett the football player what did you learn about his upbringing. I mean this is a guy who came from a family of athletes so much talent athletically. His mom was an all American American in track. His sister won a national championship. In track is brother played basketball for the nets. And I'm not just talking about average athletes but really really top level athletes another flight. You can do anything like do whatever makes you happy. But you're going to play some sports. He had sort of this. Love hate relationship that that was more hate when it comes to football playing football at that time even though really didn't want to but at that time I really didn't care for bod playing coming back are you can't play vic so played off of the linemen definitely not for me. I played the game and good at it but there was something missing was Kinda and that passion for the game so it was kind of hard to be okay amounts. His First Love was really basketball and at one point when he was in high school athletic director wanted him to play football. so He's a look. You can play basketball as long as you play football. So how does does he go from being a kid who wasn't even sure if he wanted to play the sport to being the number one overall draft pick and it's a really interesting story when he was around around his sophomore year coaches sat him down parents in the room and they sorta gave him an ultimatum. So you're GONNA put your heart in it or you're not what you're gonNA stop waste of People's time laid it all on the line or you can bring your hips almond bus. Sit Down and do I really want this. Do I really WANNA play football. I'm all my life and they say this the get it. No you could be one of the best. It could be the best player in the nation. This guy is a competitor like he wants. That's to win. And I think when he heard that that it could be the best in the country that SORTA gave him permission to sort of go after people to be the aggressive to be fiery on the field. It wasn't about hurting people. It was about showing people that he is the best that he can be the best best and from then on his play chains really started piling up sack numbers by midway through his senior year. Now you got scores scouts else coming in to see him and as he says. Nick Sabin

"He lets me senior writer then person. Hey what's going on and Writers Watch N._B.. Everyone in Chris Evangelista hello okay guys. I we have the whole team back together again. We had comecon then each t was gone but each has back. It's a you're on like a buoy. We Beach Bash. Yes we Menia as we call them. Actually have a Hashtag <hes> for brewing mania which we <hes> started a couple years ago and <hes> we have t shirts to with that hashtags on stencils that we made for the t shirts ourselves so no. You're like those people at Disneyland. I'll have the matching shing t shirts we are. We are those really annoying. Obnoxious people like Disneyland. Those people are usually like a group of like five or six people. How how many is the Bulimia <hes>? I'm over forty. I would say it's a it's large and it's <unk> only getting bigger. This was our first union. Several years. We used to have a sort of annual or biannual <hes> beach ski trip vacations and because our family's growing larger with my cousins getting kids <hes> my cousin's cousin's getting kids and then <hes> are like everyone's spreading out across the country and across the globe it was harder for us to get a vacation and this was in the works for about two years so we finally got everyone together in Virginia beach at a sandwich specifically so that was a a week long vacation. I went there right after COMECON <hes> which you talked about how I liked my first comic con in our COMECON debriefing <music> at the soda I surprisingly had really fantastic time and I'm excited to go back but yes the booby vacation was much needed. Respite from all the craziness of COMECON kind afterwards doing just hanging out on the beach everyday yeah we hung out the beach rented like three or four houses and we all split the duties with cooking and cleaning cleaning most of the younger kids 'cause we didn't WanNa take <hes> the myth adults the parents do too much work so my sister and I took on two meals and <hes> I'm not as much of a chef as she is so she kind of just told me what to do and I would follow her orders but yeah we went to the beach every day. My cousins got really into this game called Spike Ball which I didn't play because I'm not coordinated I just kind of sat down and read and watch them instead <hes> and we played with the little kids who are my cousins kids on our door -able and I also got into puzzling way. What is puzzling? Is this like escape escape room term. I invented for doing puzzles. I don't know if there's an actual term. I apologize if there is but we got really into this two thousand piece puzzle the of some village Italy a seaside village which looked gorgeous. It was incredibly hard to do because we had one rainy day and we're like Oh. Let's just do this. Puzzle will spend the day doing it and actually took us three days to do. I got so obsessed and fixated on this puzzle that I ended up dreaming about it one night 'cause I was just so into it but hey if you guys have any puddle recommendations. Let me know because I might want to get back into puzzling now. You know I tried to do a puzzle think like a few months ago. It was too hard. I think we picked one that like had like a lot of black and it was just like impossible. It was that was like this one there. It was like five shades of blue and it was frustrating as hell but it was also the most euphoric I felt in years once we finished it. It was amazing well. Oh cool and I I saw on your instagram that you also spoke on a panel at a film festival yeah shortly before I embarked on my two week comecon on vacation <hes> I was invited to speak on a panel of A._p._i.. Culture writers at the Asian American Film Festival <hes>. It's I think the forty nine type film festival this year and they had held a panel for <hes> Asian American Asian Pacific American <hes> writers in the Entertainment Movie T._V..

"And writer. Why trembling so we are here again? We have experienced Thursday this the first day of this edition of Comecon it started out kind of slow do say so myself yeah. This is a strangely empty. Day was only one major studio Jio handle maybe to include H._B._O.. But it's Duffy the quieter Thursdays who seem quite some time yeah I know you rushed over to haul age to cover the terminator dark fate panel in you. Send us a photo of like the Rome from half empty filled up towards the end as people serve realizing they can get in but with ten minutes ago they were literally thousands of seats less than how each and I was on the show floor earlier today to record video and boy was that place busy so all the people that weren't in hall age for on the show floor <hes>. Let's talk about Terminator. I know they release something online right from that. Yeah they released a brief each threat they also showed during the panel panel also gut which seemed to be an extended trailer zooming longer version of will be online. You know soon enough. What was that plus a panel with the cast in director to Miller Arnold Schwarzenegger limbs were they are so then he felt like an event even if the room wasn't as packed act as usual yet we learnt big news <hes> one of the original cast members returning yet his as interestingly James Cameron wasn't there came into do a livestream we have to set or to the Edward Furlong on we'll be back as John Connor at quartz by John Connor Interior to in return for new sequels <hes> but he's nowhere to be seen in the footage so these symptoms role is unknown of this time tech is not in the footage suggests babies a brief brief appearance Republican? You and James Cameron Nas in a strange rate to come off hand mentioned. He's go yeah. Edward Furlong is back yet ended I from what I heard from inside sources that he might not be reprising his role as John Connor. I don't know what the wait and see that one. I'm wondering if digital recreation Edward Furlong honestly yes Edward Furlong. Isn't this movie the other thing is. I don't think if they're not the show him in the trailers. I don't think anybody's going to recognize him. Have you seen him lately. I have not he does not look anything like images of him. After this announcement did not like he doesn't look rate. He doesn't look camera. You I will say yeah now. That's for sure okay so the footage. You guys did say what you think. What did you say after being really really underwhelmed by the first <unk> online account win this panel expecting the worst end? What we saw looked pretty? We do <unk> yeah. I was surprised too. I think the first trailers try to hold back a little bit too much what the Terminator Nece of it all but here in this footage that we finally hear Linda Hamilton as their connor say I'll how did that and that was the thing that shares that will the thing that was like oh it grabbed. My attention was important that we talk about from this footage thing that people don't believe what I tell them is the or Schwarzenegger's new Terminator Peter's named Carl that is funny. Is that something we didn't know before he's playing a whole new character character whole determiner named Carl and the food we saw opens with extended version of seeing the trailer. It should be mentioned that you have a dog very strange began with a Mexico car chase the desert's Mexico where candidate for security grace is defending <hes> to to be hunted by Terminator <unk> Gable Luna as give Lewis driving at semi-truck and they're like pick up as big fight scene as a bowl cars crashing and Sarah Connor Arriving Saves Day with machine-gun rocket launcher casually blowing orange and say I'll be back grabbing a shotgun off of it was a cool crowd pleasing thing very big very slick looking to mellow the director who deductible

"Of traffic on northbound down around Tukwila, and we all know how Tukwila it's absolutely. I don't think there's ever not a busy day down around there. They are repairing some broken expansion joints. So you're losing a couple of lanes, which means you're squeezing down into just like to which does a lot of added pressure on basically everything around that area. So everything in Tukwila Tukwila international boulevard in urban four zero five northbound ninety nine northbound I five everything around the south sound is just going to be jam packed and you have events that are happening in downtown Comecon people have to get into the downtown corridor. I seen Comecon this weekend or attending Comecon. Here's here's my piece of advice. Ditch the car it's going to be beautiful grab the light rail take it into downtown. If you are going to go to emerald city comic. Con trains are super-efficient is never have to worry about parking. But I mean, we can see delays upwards of an hour if not to we'll see diversion on four zero five outside of Tukwila into Bellevue. If you remember anything from the summer. When you lost a couple of lanes. It's pretty much exactly what you're going to deal with again this weekend in you mentioned, the the green stripe painting that seven o'clock tonight. Yeah. The green strives just in time. Reserve everybody. Where does the green stripe go? And how do we stay out of their way? Well, it's in downtown. And it's it's very very minimal traffic impact. However, I mean, people love to come out and watch. So and then you've got the St. Patty's day dash that's going to happen on Sunday. You've got the Tacoma Saint Patty's day half marathon and run that's happening in Tacoma. I mean, there's just a lot of activities this weekend and traffic will be one of those activities, Tracy.

"Dark avengers. They have a script commission for dark avengers if you're not familiar with who they are, it is the Norman Osborn lead. At least the first series was guys. They put together Norman Osborne. At some point he took over shield and started hammer. I mean, dude, dude was bad it anyway, dark avengers is a group of villains that are masquerading as the good guys under the good guys names doing all this stuff. The vendors usually do. But of course they were the villain. It's. Really interesting story the dark avengers. I really liked that story line that's kind of Norman Osborn character. I like. Where he is plotting all this word stuff. I think he was. He led thunderbolts for a while there too. Anyway, like it says here, documentary spun out of the secret invasion stuff with the scrolls. They were. They were secretly super villains working under the codename of the Ardy known superheroes. So they've commissioned a script for this at marvel studios. Now that doesn't mean you're going to get a movie. They commissioned scripts all the time. A lot of times they'll commission the script and they'll get it will gather dust on the shelf for years and years, and they'll pull it out and make then sometimes it just never gets made. They just had the script for it so, but this is the first step cross. Your fingers were going get dark of ventures movie. I would love to see marvel explorer the villain side of the stories. I mean, we've seen enough of the superheroes. Let's see them. Tell villain story. Interesting. All kinds of news coming out of New York Comecon in your Comecon is going on this week this weekend. I'm sorry the, it's probably only second to San Diego for having information put out. One of the big things is you're gonna get a Batman, the animated series boxed set, the whole run of Batman animated series, and that is. I attribute that to the big resurgence when it came out of Batman popularity because it kind of waned there for a while and then anime series came out in anime series was just so so good. And they brought us Mike conic. We're Harley Quinn spun out of the animated series. She was a little different animates her. She's, you know, she's changed morphed along the way. Into the character you know today, but she was still one of the characters that came out of the animated series. So yeah, this box sets coming out Octo ber thirtieth I if you're a Batman animated series fan, which why wouldn't you be? You could pick this thing up. Watched this binge watch the whole thing, the artwork, the Bruce him artwork. Amazing. It is very distinctive. You can tell his our work. I, I actually have a signed print from Bruce him from Justice, though not Batman. Is the stories into artwork just worked together, so well, so ended this month, you know yourself a Halloween present pickup, Batman, the animated series box set. I know I'm going to. Darth Vader is going to be ending his run Marvel's going to end him at number twenty five. This is the second volume of the series. The first ran for twenty five issues. Also, I don't know if this is a planned thing. Marvel does would just run them for twenty five issues. I'm not opposed to it. I don't like when a lot of these titles hang around way past their relevancy. The the, the miniseries are really good, but this one twenty five. That's that's a good two year run. They tell their story and then they get out of it rather than just lingering around and being, you know, boring in between events.

Taking a Visit to Essex County

"Device that you're listening to. When I review something on the show, I'm commenting on it because I like it and I want you to take a look as well. I try not to criticize or rant because there's enough out there already. I try to stay positive. I stick to the old adage that your mom or grandma probably told you if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. And today's no exception. I recently read Essex County by Jeff Lemere Jeff tells a complex story with simple black and white art. He can do that because the setting takes place in his childhood home. He tells three separate stories that are loosely connected. So here's a solicit. Where does young boy turn when his whole world is suddenly disappears? What turns two brothers from an unstoppable team into a pair of bitterly estranged loners? How does the simple hearted care of one middle age nurse reveal the scars of an entire community and can anything heal the wounds caused by a century of deception. Now I'm more of a superhero fantasy. Fan, but this one had me turning the pages to find out what happened next. My personal favorite was the second story about the two brothers and the falling out that they had because of the simple art. It showcases, the ability Jeff has Intelink story. This came out in two thousand nine has been in has been put into a collection with extra art and stories. I'll put the Lincoln the show notes. He can take a look in by it if you want to. I do recommend this one though. The next one is Knin Jack versus the valiant universe. This is a what I would call a fun popcorn type of book. It reminds me of the old x men versus the fantastic four back in the eighties. It's a story. You can tell that was put together on purpose by the publisher to appeal to a large readership. So you get the Naan Jack readers to read maybe unity or x. men a war to read in Jack and and on and on the reader knows it. But in this case, it's still a fun story to read. I guess you could say, I succumb to the marketing boys. Here's a solicit calling king Naan, Jack m I six deadliest intelligent operative a weapons expert. When the ruthless assassin Roku exploits his greatest weakness, Naan Jack will be forced to betray his closest allies. Now on the run, he must face off against the most powerful heroes known to man for high octane take-no-prisoners trial by fire, more perilous and more predictable than any he's faced before the world's most dangerous. Super spy goes to war with the valiant universe. So check it out. They, I think they put it in trade paperback, and you can get all six issues, but together just a fun little book. Plume by Kaelin Smith Lassen certainly not least is plume. I talked with Kaelin Smith at Comecon, and as I've mentioned in two days ago, she is generally a nice person. I went to one of her panels and talked with her in the vendor area and ask a few questions, and she patiently indulged my questions in answered. All of them. Plume is a fun western adventure type of book with magical undertones to sum it up, I would say it's Laura Croft meets John Wayne type of John RA, and here's the solicit for volume. One plume a story set in the old west about a girl named Vesper, gray and supernatural companion, cork on their quest, recover her father's life's work. They encounter new friends and new foes and learned that the wild west is anything, but tame Kaelin Smith not only wrote it, but she did the art as well. Both in my opinion are excellent. This is a passion, passion prod. Occurs and their three total volumes of that.

DP Bret Hart leader and Ricky steamboat dragon, just the name of few. They are saying they still have a few more to announce for this than game will become an out Tober fifth. So if you're a wrestling video game fan, you don't wanna pick up w w e two k nineteen on October. Fifth. Stephen King fans, you're good. You're getting a lot of Stephen King lately. Well, they're doing some more. They're going to remake pet cemetery. If you're familiar repet- cemetery, that's the the show where the guys kid this year be spoilers books out forever and so's the first movie guys kid is he buries him in the. Indian burial ground which is supposed to bring them back to life and it does, but it brings them back different something wrong with them. So just looking at how they upgraded it from the first interruption of the movie that came out to the one just killed it. The box office is past year. I'm thinking pet cemetery will be the same thing. It's they're saying if he loved the book ago, the movie. So I'm thinking it's going to stay pretty true to the story. It was a very, very freaky. Scary book. I can't wait to see how they're going to make this modernize pet cemetery, but we'll have to wait till April fifth of twenty nineteen to see this movie. Okay. Gnocchi been reading affinity wars. You've seen that they have a kind of. A weird offshoot from that cone, Infinity warps were Gamarra's. She's gotten them vanity stones, and she's kind of folded the universe in on itself. And a lot of the characters have been combined merged as you had cabinet. American doctor strange were merged form soldier supreme thorn. Ironman merged, have iron hammer, and they revealed a new one. Just the other day wolverine was merged with Emma frost. His appearance didn't really change much still has the wolverine look except the. He's got the blonde hair a got the Pat. He's wearing a passionate like he did when he was when he was patched. I patch. The big differences you tell him his speech patterns is much got much more manners speaks more eloquently, but those still moving in, he gets his rage every once in a while. So if you like the idea of them merging two characters for a new one. There. He go Infinity warps with a p. they're doing and they've got other ones too, like they have ghost panther weapon Hex. Wolverine is not the only one to get merged bunch of our if that's your thing than you want to pick up infinitive warps. Okay, Batman. If you've been reading Justice league, you saw Batman is just been decimated. I mean, lex Luther. When he had the totality doorknob, he crushed Batman, broke all his arms legs. This left him in a bad way. And you saw the last Justice league issue. He had a a full body, armor suit that allowed him to keep moving around even though pretty much most the bones as body were were broken. He's gone one step further. Now he has his own little hover wheelchair. So he looks a lot like professor x with a big bat symbol on his chest. Sure. He's still pretty deadly. Even with that full body armor, he wolf to bunch of of legion of doom. He was pretty instrumental and then justly getting the totality away from lex Luther on. Now, he's taking easy. He's he's sitting instead of standing. But this, this hover chairs pretty armored up. I'm sure he's got it full of all kinds of weapons. So certainly Justice league. You're gonna see a bad just won't stop fighting and they're getting the totality transfer out how to get it to fix the source law. 'cause it's supposedly a battery used for creating universes. So they to figure out how to use it to fix our multi-diverse. Justice league Scott Snyder for you going with this. Don't worry that one to you. Okay. Harvey awards, their New York Comecon. They're going to have the presentation of twenty eighteen hall of fame in duck dis. It looks like there's only two of now, Dave Gibbons, if you tell me that's because he was the artist on the watchman. Alan Moore was the guy with the story. Dave Gibbons brought it to life on the page. He's at other stuff, but that's what is most known for. You know, he doesn't work on green lantern give me liberty and Kingsman, but he's getting a Harvey award at near Comecon during the thirtieth an award ceremony, October fifth. That's going to be end all bras chest. Yeah. Ross Chaz is going to get an award also. She'll be inducted. She did a lot of work for the New Yorker. She's also received the Reuben award, which is a pretty high award. So we've got those two pretty prominent people being inducted into the Harvey awards hall of fame, they both deserve it. Congratulations. The Oscars. There's

Apple's Newest MacBook Pro Is Fast But Flawed

"Hello, James, welcome back from Comecon thanking Larry. It was a fun week of great news for shown fairs, including the return of popular Star Wars series. Some great footage of Godzilla aquaman and wonder woman, and the doctor made a house call in San Diego from Great Britain. So it was a lot of fun and you can read all about it at Donald news dot com. So now you're all rested and ready to go. What's the news? It's the best working vacation ever. Let's go Nikon. Officially announce their full frame merely camera. It isn't often that the rumor mill of spot on Larry, but in the case of Nikon's new merely camera it is with a huge sixty five millimeter lens opening the Nikon, f, z, full frame camera will likely borrow a lot of features from the eight fifty, including a variant of their home grown sensor that they put in the fifty last year. It will come in two different models, a higher and professional forty, eight megapixel model, and then the consumer grade twenty four megapixel model. Both will shoot four k. video with Nikon's flat raw profile, and it has a new Zima lend system and Nikon assures everyone that though have an gap there so that everybody can continue using their legacy lenses and look for it to come out by the. Spring of twenty nineteen. Why Assam mirror less cameras. So important. I mean, DSL are still dominant. Aren't they? Well, yeah, but not for very much longer reports are showing that merely camera sales and rentals are beginning to outpace DSL ours. It's exciting to see Nikon putting a lot into a higher in Maryland model, and if it's half as good as the fifty, I think Nikon sure going to have a winner that could leapfrog them into the higher in camera game and go ahead with the Sony alpha series. It'd be interesting to see how cannon response to and the talk is we're going to know about that pretty soon. All right. That's Nikon. What's our next story? Apple has addressed issues with thermal throttling and the new Matt book pro. Apparently, there was a quote unquote missing digital key, which was causing the macbook pro to throttle down almost instantly below its rated specs during higher performance applications like rendering video and game playing that type of thing. So apple issued a firmware fix that. Not only solves the thermal through. Totaling problem, but brings the benchmarks backup to the performance specs in its rated range. What's your thinking about the facts? Thrilled that apple responded quickly to it rather than doing the typical song and dance that takes forever like the butterfly keyboard issue had. But my problem is how many times since Tim cook took over, have we heard about bugs that are plaguing the performance of apple products? I'm not talking about a little bugs. I'm talking about major bugs that affect battery performance in processor performance. It's almost expected now Ghana, the gaze at apple saying it just works and it's clear to me that the company is more interested in sales numbers than releasing a product that is as ready as the hype says, it's of Jayme software is much more complex today than it was say, ten years ago, it seems unrealistic to expect almost everything to work perfectly. That's a fear criticism I grant you, but you have to admit that we've all been spoiled by. Job Sonian expectations. Steve Jobs was obsessed about releasing a product that was perfect, and Tim cook just isn't that way k. that's apple. What's our third story and Sony has updated the firmware for the Senate Alta Venice Cima camera being used for projects, ranging from music videos to commercials to features,.

"We did that to the time i went back they had bill lights inside the goggles soi have lights shining in my ithat's how you can see my eyes and most of the scene like other illuminated the others lights inside the goggled which made it even harder to see because it's like someone shining a flashlight in your is that no one else can see so is really every time they would sikado after the goggles off just rest among top of my head and by the way i tried to steal those goggles afterward on shooting like this such a huge movie i wanna have something andi knew do we had to we did a thing all the villagers at comecon in july of 2016 where they were introducing guardians of galaxy and like drstrange in all the marvel it's for the coming year so there is a big marvel panel and haulage she's like the 5000 see maybe even more conference hall and so they had like everybody up on stage and then we come in and kinda disrupt the whole thing in characters as i can in need those goggles for that soi couldn't steel matter we finished shooting but warned we are comecon the day we the panel then went back to the hotel and like i the goggles and i stuck my back and then in there is a bunch of us so it was like kinda hectic i'm like this is going to be easy and then like just before i left some someone from props came up and they're panicking.
