Yeah, mad at the fireworks. You've seen it, right? So you've seen some of these videos? No, but I don't doubt it very angry. Meanwhile, let me listen, if you've got pets, Sometimes your pets are a problem with the fireworks. So they have a problem with the fireworks, and some people get very emotional over that. It's just not what it used to be that you had firecrackers. You had bottle rockets, and you had Roman candles. And and so that's the little stuff. The urgency pressure on the puck Execution with the park. Those things can help us control the tempo of the game playing the offensive zone drop penalties just you know, it's important. We start on time, and we don't wait 10 minutes or a period to show the desperation that we need to win. You know, one so far, Shots on goal are concerned. The Predators got away a total of 81 shots over those two games down in Nashville. One of the boys need to do to bring that number down to a more acceptable level. He's now played three games for the Hawks. How do you feel he's performed Yeah, It's uh, you know, he's still getting up to speed. I feel it's been it was tough with, you know, took us a long time to get him in, but he's a very professional. Guy. He understands how to play and where he's supposed to be. Compete level is excellent. He wins. A lot of 50 fifty's. That size is nice to add. Down the middle and you can play. You know both special teams. If we need it can be in big situations defensively, So you know, obviously we're down a couple centers, and he's gonna help fill that void. Okay. It's the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight in the first of two meetings over the weekend, and if you know, the Columbus Blue Jackets says, I know you do you know that they bring a lunch pail mentality to their games. They're known for winning games with hard work. They won't have Patrick Wine a available after the trade because immigration issues but that's really not for you to be concerned with, obviously, But what do your thoughts about the blue jackets and about how you'll need to be ready to play them tonight? Yeah, We know exactly what we're going to get what to expect. They're very tight. Structure, disciplined team. They're not going to give you a lot for free to make you come through five guys. Whenever they can. We gotta be prepared to match that work ethic. Be patient. Maybe it takes us, you know, 55 minutes to breakthrough. We've got to make them work for what they get and be sharp defensively and then have killer instinct when we do have been vulnerable, so it's a good challenge their their team that they're always in the mix because they don't beat themselves. People around the NHL that run talk shows and whatnot say they looked at the black card goaltending situation, and they said, Yeah, Malcolm Suban Colin Delia, and Who's That other guy, and that other guy was Kevin Lincoln and, and his name lately has been mentioned prominently on a number of NHL talk shows for a solid playing goal for the Blackhawks. Got points in all of his games. Too old and too, and I know he wants to keep that going. I don't know what your goaltending situation is going to be like tonight. That's part of the question. But has Lincoln and Splay made it a challenge for you as head coach in choosing your goaltender. Well, it's a good problem to have. He got multiple guys playing while Lincoln and we'll start tonight. The Gold Tang situation is it's a microcosm of how our team has been viewed, You know, not not a lot of people. Taken us down much success this year, and I think they've used that as Fuel to prove some people wrong. "Always good when a major newsmaker joins the podcast. He is yarmouk kick elaine general manager of the columbus. Blue jackets Jahmil thanks so much for doing this. And i'm always curious about how deals come together. And maybe more specifically when deals and you know we know that there are other teams out. There obviously interested in pierre. Luke dubois in your mind. When was this trade over. Like at what point did you say. Okay i'm done. He's going to winnipeg jets by you. Gotta do your due diligence around the league and see what the interest level is and what type of options we have available. And we did that. We recommend order and you might make have to make a couple rounds a call system. Make sure that everybody who's interested. Got their opportunity to give their best shot and we did that as well. So it took a little while but You know we came to the conclusion there. After the last game that dubois played that we wanna do this sooner rather than later so we were pretty busy on friday working on that than saturday morning. We we were ready. And and now. We have patrick line and ross lubbock here. One thing that became clear to us on the outside. Is that you and kevin chevrolet off had discussed this for awhile that you kind of both knew that if you wanted to do this there was going to be the opportunity to do it. I'm curious caramel. How'd you guys known that you were each other's potential trade partners. If you needed to be we we had a good dialogue for a while and this is probably the best match right from the start. But as i said we had to do our diligence. And make sure that we've done our homework on every opportunity that might be out there and after we'd done that we return to talks with winnipeg several times and and wanted to make sure that all parts of the trade work for us as far as cap goes cash involved there other parts of the deal that we had to iron out once. Where were that wasn't a level of commitment to those values that was given by fearless dubois and that's why he was bent and i support the coach hundred percent on on that decision. Like i said after that. I think there's a little more urgency on our part to get this done and we're happy to move on with the two players that we like even if the trade hadn't occurred on saturday morning to the organization had pure luke dubois played his last game with the blue jackets. And what. I'm sort of getting at was anyway that he would have played saturday afternoon. No no you wasn't gonna play saturday but after that. It's the coach's decision on on all. He wants to handle the player. And there's no need to get into that but There's always a second chances and opportunities to redeem yourself as a player if you make a mistake or don't live up to the values that we hold strong ear but you have to show through your hard work in practice and and how you conduct your business in the locker room and within the team and I'm sure then. Our coach will always give him every player a second chance or an opportunity to show that. He's ready to live

Be like here about the central a lot off when you see teams like the Hawks In Florida on a Tampa Bay and Carolina. They have a ton of off of skill. Now Some teams are better on the back end. Another obviously, Tampa Bay, Carolina being the top two teams, the Hawks and Panthers and the Red Wings. They're gonna be atrocious defensively this year. But I like can't obey and Carolina also like Dallas, Dallas, my start up a little slow camping in Dallas. Obviously, they were both the Cup finalist last year, so don't be shocked to see them start a little bit slow, have a little bit of that cup hangover. Because this is a quick turnaround we're talking about Neil season has just ended back in the old late September, you know, so they had the shortest amount of time. Between ending and starting up the season with no preseason might see those two teams slow down, but I think Tampa Bay Carolina Dallas and that four spot one likely going to be the Columbus Blue Jackets. And I know my rangers are a young team with some of the guys in the goaltending now is different. I'm hoping the Rangers can at least you know, show well, but you like the Rangers as far as to make a little bit of money on this season. Do I mean, I mean money with them is an underdog. "All right so last night as we've been talking about on the show it was a fantastic night for Columbus blue jacket fans and the Columbus blue jackets and boy corpus although I can't say enough about him and and his performance last night let's bring in the sideline reporter for reset reporter for foxsports Ohio in the Columbus blue jackets Dave Matt's old Matt's year in Detroit right now yes are not just Detroit it's beautiful downtown Detroit I mean if this place is phenomenal so last night let's start with last night boy I I don't know what the feeling was around there but boy it was really fun to watch corporate solid do its thing last night Hey look I'm not talking to I I want to forget about the rest of the team as well but let's face it they were quality parts flying at him all night long and this guy was just you know stop after stop after stop in the blue jackets they boy they just they cranked it up last night it was really really fun to watch Hey boys look towards has been saying for a couple of weeks that this isn't a five hundred hockey team because the goaltending and he meant that as a compliment your goal of corpus all he has kept this team in games that they otherwise has no business being in even at one nothing overtime loss in Pittsburgh after that game towards the quote this game could therefore nothing very easily in the favor of Pittsburgh but it wasn't because of course the last night might have been his best of the year if you go back up maybe a week before that Alaska because Washington that might have been his best game of the year until last night he's really plays at a really high level and and eliminated one of the big question marks right going into the season only what was it well I think you want to answer that question very very well yeah boy yeah it was again I saw you you talk to him but right after the game there and he just sees a he just seems like a cool customer man he just seems unfazed right now and I think last night maybe even a little more growing and and this is just based on I don't know that clearly you don't that that like what he was doing last night isn't something you just all the sudden discovered obviously it's there the talent is there he's got the chops and that was as good a performance of we've seen from Bob as far as what your listed last night especially when you consider the team and the people who are coming out of all night rolled out about and that's a really good way to characterize it through the first two periods Aliso basket at night job and they've also got a great second line which is centered bikers that soft yes you J. encouraging for the future of that goal tending position with the blue jackets no doubt about it second time only so far drops the gloves last year and I'm telling you man it was offer that goon Wilson and and him but basically what he Louis left is free to you he was he that that check was not a check that was a dirty shot in any more on that going on right now Meryl they'll be no trouble bit more your own size and I I love it man him stand up like that that was that was really cool to actually see that and you're right I can't believe they're not going to do nothing's going to come down for Wilson especially when it's needless and clearly was frustration man they they're just they're helpless they're like why can't we can score on these guys it was making him crazy and it's not just core be I mean everybody is in the right place sticks in the right place I mean more deflecting were you know re direct I mean it was it was just crazy was the perfect storm last night yeah it much like the game a week prior in Washington there six were good there they were playing on their toes they scored only court made that stand up until they could add a little bit of insurance in the third period it was just all on one hand it make you say wow these guys are really played a great game on the other hand why don't you like this on more nights why do we have to suffer through games like we saw in Pittsburgh and to a certain extent an audible work they were facing at the pleaded team and could not score how does happen so I'm sure it's a little bit frustrating for the coaching you're developing other one who developing a what is your playoff push and all that kind of stuff but I think we're seeing a mix of it right now it's still hoping that they can make a push for a playoff spot and also developing some of these guys look at the stars of the of the blue jackets future well Elvis in that tonight hopefully he can get his first NHL win I know Corby needs the rest and you know hopefully if there's a time to actually play him I guess that would be versus the red wings but boy you know I I guess on any given night right yeah I'm not sure that's a hundred percent walk you know one of the people have assume dealt with the net but all this was skating this morning he was one of only two guys to skate the this morning he had called her wits and generally what a goaltender states in the morning he doesn't play that night so I think maybe it could be over but I'm only we but convinced but I'm it could be fifty fifty at this point from the starts and that's a
