"M, during which now with the verse work as Preparing for what will be an interesting Halloween. Absolutely. Yeah, And it should be drier, not as cold as last year. No snowflakes in her forecast for that, either. But right now we are looking at a few light showers, Maybe, like drizzle here in their lives look downtown. It is underneath some low lying clouds here this morning, so another great kind of gloomy start to the day. But we will eventually start to see subtle improvements cutting through this afternoon Temps right now are in the mid forties 45 degrees downtown. As you're heading out for the bus stop this morning. You will grit. Need a jacket? Keep it with you. I don't think the rain that we're seeing right now. A warrant's rain gear. She's very light more of a spit in the Sprits than anything else with our temps in the low to mid forties. And here is our radar situation. Right now. Most of us are waking up to that light. Drizzle here and there nothing necessary. That is to have your consistent as you would hide through your morning drive. But you will notice a little bit of moisture out on your windshield. This morning area of high pressure, I think is going to dominate our weather scene today, so it's going to keep most of us fairly dry through this afternoon. 45 degrees and Andy right now of near South Bend at 37 33 degrees in Chicago 48 in Danville. Today's forecast is called for high temperatures to gradually warmed to the upper fifties. We should squeeze out a little bit of sunshine through the day today. Nothing too over the top in terms of abundance, But the further North you go. I think you do see a bit more blue sky up near South Bend and Chicago Temperatures there low to mid fifties. A bit more cloud cover in Evansville today with our attempts approaching 60 degrees. We do have rain upon the horizon during the day tomorrow that is warning a flood watch that will go into effect just south of Indianapolis and Portions up, Say the Columbus area Bloomington Bedford. We're going to time out that heavy rain and then also show you just how much rain we could say Possibly out of this coming up in. My full forecast has been okay for drivers. If you are heading out about this picture here, showing a little bit of moisture on the lens of the north, split otherwise. Doesn't seem to be slowing anybody down this morning, So we're leaving right now, and that's unusual route. I think you're.

Is it Time to Put Tender Plants in My Greenhouse?

"Fred we had an email this week to Fred at plant talk radio, It came in from a Gentleman Jim in Louisville, Kentucky. And he says I have a greenhouse in my backyard and this weekend here in Louisville is supposed to get down to the low 40s, maybe even the high 30s. My wife has lots of plants on our back deck and then like to know when is the best time to put those in the greenhouse what Mark I'm going to answer this in the fact of what I did. I went out last evening roughly 6:30 because the the announcement was that it could get down to forty thousand and it was at that point fifty. I I would have told the gentleman he was a day late now, that's not true. I like to keep the orchids outside. I have some poinsettias. I'm regrowing various temperamental well tropical plants. I like to let them get down to 40. It doesn't seem to hurt them but below 40 even though they don't freeze off. They can lose growth Habit in terms of roots Cold Soil et cetera. So I would say that he's it is time for him and wife to move things. In fact, I would admonish them to be careful of the White Flag. I don't know about Louisville area, but there was some here in the Columbus area including my yard things that I will not take into the house. They're they're two Expendables in the first place, but then I'm going to treat those. Well, hopefully treat the white flies with some well very very highly refined plant oils and soaps and so on a couple times know if he brings things into the greenhouse that there is any suspicion of the white flight he can put it in to shelter it from cold for let's call it a night or whatever bring it back out of the day of the next the next day at 10 in the morning when it's up at fifty five or more and and still treat them with an insecticide. But at the mean time to answer his direct question, it is time to start moving. Those things in I don't know the science behind it. And I don't even know if I'm quite absolutely correct, but I leave my orchids and they're all the off type Orchid there. They suck the easiest for me to grow but I leave them out until it does hit forty and it came darn close the other night and then with a threat of possible Frost. I brought them on in. I'm going to clean them up and come back. I won't repot them much right now, but they were left out on intent a couple of the plants. I had forgotten were outside. So I had to hustle to bring them in. So his Greenhouse can be loaded up at this point wage. I would tell him to be careful to watch for insects coming from outdoors in I mean, they're bound to be insects possible on any plant anytime anywhere with most of the time we're not bothered by it in terms of small greenhouses, but the past various kinds can get into the major greenhouses where they have fits with trying to stop them so they don't ruin them. And so on.

Knowing Our Limits

"This week knowing our limits act to try and do as much as I can myself? Sometimes I'm not always GONNA ask him for help if I think I can do it. Figured out but there are certain things I have to ask for help from others so I had a bright idea to change out an recently and we get the outlet changed out. Everything's fine except it's not turning on a tried the circuit breaker. I try and make sure everything's all fine at the outlet turned off and I was so. Don't worry I wasn't trying to keep myself but I've got to a point where I realized I needed to call and electricity to figure it out. I can learn electrical work for one day but sometimes I know it's best to ask for the help of others until I'm more adequately learned electrical wire and I may never learn it in the past. I have fried the board of electrical plants because I use the wrong polarity of electricity. I regret doing that. I'm a lot more careful with polarities. Then we call it the electrician. It was handyman connection of Westerville Savannah Columbus area. They do an amazing job in the prices are great and they came out had to switch out and working within thirty minutes dated a better job than if I had done it myself. With my lack of knowledge my dad just released an article for our companies memo as we move forward on asking for help and in the article about how asking for help and giving help. Both of those actions validate the role of those who have the ability to assist says the experience or the know. How do things when you ask for help? Your validating what that person capable of and when you give help you vowed another person by offering assistance and using a skill that you've built up I have learned so much listening to others from their experiences and learning from others. I can't do it all myself though things that I'm going to get better at like I've gotten better podcasting audio and streaming. They're doing but along the way I have asked people for help. I've gotten advice. That has not just been me blindly going in without people's guidance so this week let's think through what are limits are no that the limits aren't things that we can never attain but sometimes until we get to the ability that we can go over those limits. We need the help others to help us eventually. Move

"Story that's been happening here in the Columbus area. But this this Dr William Houston out of Mount Carmel and the lawsuits filed against him it. Absolutely. I it's an awful, obviously situation and the latest one is sixty four year old Bonnie Austin of Columbus here. She was killed negligently or intentionally back in September. She was given the painkiller Fenton. All and a power set a powerful sedative which was ordered by the doctor who said she was brain dead. And you know, nobody said, hey, yeah. It's okay. If you do this. It's it's having mercy if you will and so on I mean, obviously as a doctor, and I've known a lot of them. And I was even remarking to Josh earlier. I said, you know, a lot of not all but a lot of doctors get a God complex if they've been doing it long enough. They start feeling think about the power. Of a doctor who goes in any radical eight something inside someone and then helps them not only live but improves their their quality of life. Think about the praise from not only the patient, but the family and all of the people I think they get to this point where they say, I I know what they want. I know what's best for them. And you know, I think that might be a case of what happened here with this. Doctor. I don't listen some of these they get they they really do think they're doing God's work like their mercy and mending the pain I'm doing this that and the other, but listen, you that's not your choice. You don't you? Don't get to make that decision on your own. I don't you know. And look, I'm force a doctor assisted suicide. I am like I think, you know, you you got some horrible version of cancer, and it's inoperable, and it's just ravaging you and you want to just go to sleep one day. And just that's it not. Have to deal with that crap anymore. I'm for that. But the against the patient's will were they can't sign off on it. Or the family says go ahead pull the plug. You know, the the old quote unquote, pull the plug, right? No, man. Like, and the problem is these people are convinced what they're doing this morally, right? He's not doing this because he's evil or sadistic. He's probably in his mind thinking, I'm doing a very good thing by doing this in the thing too is even if the even if this Bonnie Austin, if even if her family said, hey, can you can you kind of quietly make her doctor ethically. Isn't exactly and and you had a fantastic question on the heels of this terrible story that has come out of Columbus for us. Is it more wrong? If he would have done this to another wise, healthy twenty five year old in other words, if he would have and I it's hard to actually use that question in this situation. Because clearly it seems as though the motive was. Was because she was brain dead, or and I don't know the other cases where he actually has been involved with this the other ones, but, you know, clearly with her particular case with her being, you know, not actually with it. She was brain dead. You say well the motive there was for him to do this. But you know, it is it more wrong. If he would have done this to another wise healthy twenty five year old. I mean, it's still wrong, but I can less wrong extra wrong. It would be extra wrong. But that like kinda pregnant, you know, it's a sixty four year old brain dead woman versus a twenty five year old healthy, it's still wrong. "And I and I will say this categorically he may be one of the best in the country for developing this. So just go to his website, my heart book dotcom in any little bit of turmeric will help what you want is the best combination. Right. And we give you three months supply for the price. Other people are charging for thirty days that's important for people to look at absolutely Newhart formula for people that are taking statin drugs, or if they're not taking statin drugs. Chris come on outdoor live stage show in Columbus. If we set that date, we'd love to love to see you out there and everybody else in the Columbus area. That would be so cool next up. We go to Bruce in Woodland Hills, California. Hi, bruce. Thanks for calling. Go ahead. Oh, yeah. Thanks for taking my call and Christian. I I love your show and not just had some very bad news three days ago. My closest friend of forty years was just diagnosed with advanced stage of dementia. Yeah. So I'm trying to do everything. I could try to help and advise my fear is that he's just going to be. Bombarded with a bunch of medications, that's probably not gonna do anything and create other problems. I don't think there's any doctors. I've talked to that are happy about the three Alzheimer drugs now MandA. Era, sept- and Exelon. Those are basically basically nutrients, and they they don't really help. And by the way, Christians does not say he cures things. You can't say that. He's not a doctor as well. But what do you do about dementia? Severe dementia. The lowest dementia on the planet is in India. Boy, Gary cole- from UCLA took his team of researchers to India to study, Alzheimer's and dementia. He found that only one percent of the people in one particular village over sixty five had any sign of dementia or else, and what is the common denominator out there turmeric? Absolutely. I was a small article that I saw years ago when I turned you on to investigate this that just talked about the incidents of illnesses solo in those areas that people were using curry and turmeric, it's right? And I just said I don't have the time to do the extensive research that you do and you love doing research. So, you know, we turn you loose and off you went were you in shock when you started uncovering things. Yeah. I I right away. I say it's too good to be true. I can't be possible. Can't be the lowest cancer in all the world. Did you say nor he's nuts and the more and more? I don't want to shock you. But I I have a study for the university of Massachusetts where they say turmeric is helpful in locating of. Bombs. Explosives bombs how well it's fifty him going from memory. Now looked at it last week fifty parts per billion. And the next time I'm on with you. I will have a breakdown on how they are doing that. How does this spice do all these things? It is a detector like a detector interesting. Okay. Stay with us Christian. We're gonna come back in a moment and take final phone.

"Randy we're seeing some progress as things are transitioning. It really are. Here's a little wedge of dryer coming in a little bit warmer too. But eventually this is going to go back over to snow showers here. Maybe some minor accumulations Vegas by big story. Isis morning here. We're gonna fill this chart up. So far three reports of about a quarter inch to three tenths of an inch of ice accumulation power outages in the Columbus area Greenwood three tenths of an inch of ice fairly and Tom down there in Shelby county, likewise three tenths of an inch of ice. Artisans storm tracking storm tracker radar again. Head up north or the balloon the map that is some snow coming down south bend Fort, Wayne area. North a lot middle part of the state that is mainly freezing rain asleep in Alaska frames here it is switched over to blue. So we may be seeing that transition taking place right now from freezing rain, sleet, snow from indie back west of us here everything heading to the northeast and you get farther south. You had a lot of ice earlier has switched over to the plano rain from Columbus down around Seymour Bedford. And again, this is trailing north by looks like Greensburg, still some freezing rain and sleet going on the upper level low is spinning around back across parts of Illinois. Now that energy will move in across the state during the day today. So as a colder loft as move in. This would change over to snow showers from the west of the east looks like it's doing that right now. And we are talking about some accumulations here to some o'clock this morning, thirty three degrees. Again, there's a drier slot coming in. So the heaviest precept we're kind of head off to the. North and east of us by noontime snow showers coming down temperature here in the city thirty four we'll keep the snow showers going into the afternoon. And then eventually this kind of taper off to a few flurries during the evening hours snowfall totals right here in the middle part of the state an inch inch and a half, maybe two inches of snow, but I think you're married county link closer to that one inch amount two to three inches back out west south eastern, Indiana, probably inch or less but again much of the area. We've already had some ice accumulation. And then some snow on top of that. There's an ice storm warning out all these county servicing effects on noontime today. We don't see that too often here, but we have one this morning and then from noon until seven o'clock that does change over to a winter weather advisory. And again, that's where a good part of central Indiana. The main threats this morning, the biggest threat, of course, is out there also some very slick roadways. Yeah. It's called too bad and snowfall here. We may see an interest. So by later this afternoon outside right now. Airport cloudy skies and freezing rain, maybe a little sleet mixed and thirty one degrees. East one coming in eight miles an hour. The wind speeds. Eight fifteen miles an hour earlier, we have some gusts to thirty miles an hour. So again, couldn't produce some additional power outages, and maybe bring down so much free lamps and tree branches as well. As the morning does where Ron thirty one here Muncie. Shelbyville. Yeah. You've inched up above freezing at thirty three degrees. Twenty nine Lafayette and thirty two down around the Bloomington area. So we had through the day. This is going to transition over to snow showers. Eight o'clock thirty one thirty four and at four o'clock, our temperature thirty six degrees. Everybody this afternoon should climb up above freezing into the middle to the upper thirties the evening here by seven o'clock still a few flurries kind of lingering around that will end and then after midnight skies were partially started to clear out and it'll be cold again any slush out there. A refreeze overnight six PM thirty five ten o'clock thirty-three midnight temperature at thirty two heading for low tomorrow morning down into the middle twenties. Tomorrow much better day out there sky should become partly sunny. It will be a dry day still. Kinda cold on Friday, but not as cold as today. High temperatures tomorrow in the upper thirties and lower forties. Forty two here city thirty nine Muncie and forty four down around Bedford and also into Columbus or Chapman heating, cooling and plumbing eight day forecast early not bad on Saturday. Forty five degrees for a high Saturday Sunday other fronts going to sag down. I think we'll have a light mix that may end as some snow showers during the day on Sunday, Monday, thirty six degrees. And then after that things are going to really improve here for not bad for thanksgiving week, forty six Tuesday, Wednesday fifty and look at Turkey day here. If this pans out in the in a fifty five degrees come Thursday afternoon. Yeah. There are so many people who do runs that day. I know we talked about. Nice temperatures right there for those morning hours. Okay. Look at this traffic camera. We're seeing a lot of these around the area. This is I seventy four acts in road on the far southeast side this morning, you see the crystallized ice on the camera, and you can see that there is movement behind there. There's traffic in that area moving slowly, but really just to be able to see the ice that you're going to deal with. That's what we want to hammer home this morning. So that you know, what to expect as you head out the door taking a look at that area. Though, everyone is moving through smoothly slowly, but surely not too much volume out on the road. So that's helpful at this point. But if we take a look at our Rhode weather index, we are seeing that dreaded pink color across all of the area. So we're going to assume that all areas of central Indiana are dealing with some ice this morning. Just one crash plotted on.
