Soon after 28, you will find them over on the left hand side of the roadway. It looks like in addition to that one, they've got a work zone over on the right side blocking off the ramp that normally takes you into the fairfax onto the fairfax county Parkway, be aware of that one, you're going to need to find an alternate route. 50, 28 string fellow are all decent options as well. But wait traffic looks okay, no real delays, but you've got a few work zones interloop after one 23. You should find them over on the right hand side. Same story on the outer loop. After one 93, right hand side of the roadway is blocked. 66 westbound had the work zone near the beltway. It looks like that one's long gone. No issues on I 95 or three 95 as you make way to and from the beltway. Things in Maryland are quite as well, beltway traffic looks good. Roads leading towards the district, for example, the BW Parkway inside the beltway looking okay, we did get a few phone calls about a police presence near four 50. However, haven't heard much about it since, if you see them still out there, give us a call. Let us know. One 8 6 6 three O four that's a traffic tip line. 50 from the beltway out towards the bay bridge, no delays, no work zones, no slowdowns that I can tell and keep in mind they do have wind warnings in effect, which basically just means all vehicles are allowed across. If you're headed in Virginia though, you will run into a few work zones, for example, if you're on 66, westbound, past route 7 towards the beltway you'll find the right hand side of the roadway blocked as well as the ramp that takes you towards the express lanes. Now if you're in Arlington, watch out for this, looks like Columbia pike is shut down a few blocks there near Walter Reed, seeing some video online here. It looks like an awful large police presence in the area. It should be closed. Again, right by Walter Reed drive, follow any police direction through that area. They've got an awful lot of cones and police tape. It seems closing off Columbia pike. So once again, that's going to be near Walter Reed drive. Two 70 southbound, they got the work zone right by three 70 blocking at least two lanes, no real delays because of it though. I 95 and the Baltimore Washington Parkway looking good and 50 is quiet out towards Annapolis. It is quite windy though, so when warnings are in effect across the bay bridge, just keep that in mind, L vehicles will be allowed across. It just means that you might notice the breeze there headed across the bay bridge. "Opened, and now we're getting a glimpse at how many people are using metro rail to Dallas. Around 9% of people traveling to and from dulles airport during the holiday travel period use this silver line. That data was discussed during a metropolitan Washington airport's authorities board of directors meeting. The silver line extension opened just before Thanksgiving on November 15th with 5 new stations extending the line out to the airport and Ashburn. Their unions have been negotiating for better benefits for vacation and sick days in a new contract. But if they don't come to agreement by Friday, several rail lines around here could be impacted. If there's no deal and you depend on Mark trains on the Camden or Brunswick lines to get to and from work, you'll need to make other plans. That's because CSX owns attracts those trains ride on and trained to be forced not to run if a strike happens for Mark riders from MTA commuter buses in addition to Amanda and ride on buses will honor Mark tickets. So will mark's pen line, which won't be impacted. VRE also doesn't own its track, so it won't run either if the strike happens. As for Amtrak, it owns most of its northeast corridor tracks, so getting between D.C., New York and Boston won't be a problem, but heading south of D.C. you could see an impact. Now that work on the new Carrollton to Bethesda purple line has restarted, there is hope that it will begin shuttling passengers within the next four years. The Montgomery county council gets an update on the progress after a long wait. The last time the Montgomery county council got an update on the purple line, it was May of 2020. County council president Gabe alborn Los was asked about the feedback that the council has gotten from the public on the project which stalled due to a dispute between contractors and state officials on cost overruns. I guess what we have heard mostly is relief that there is a path forward. The 16 mile light rail line would take passengers from Bethesda to new Carrollton with 21 stops along the way. The $9 billion project is expected to be able to open to passengers by the fall of 2026. Kate Ryan, WTO news. Arlington county is considering lowering speed limits on several roads. If the plan wins final approval speed limits will be reduced from 35 to 30 miles an hour on Washington boulevard from Arlington boulevard to north Pershing drive. On south joy street from Columbia pike to army navy drive on Columbia pike from south Dinwiddie street to the fairfax county line and from 30 to 25 mph on lorcan lane from cherry hill road to military road, some of these road segments have been identified on the county's vision zero plan as roads with relatively high numbers of serious injuries or fatal crashes. We've got some lanes blocked watch for the police response due to a crash there, also on burtonsville, old Columbia pike between Spencer ville road and greencastle road that's just off 29 there, old Columbia pike has all lanes blocked due to a serious crash there. Two 70, southbound, this is one we've been telling you about in the area of montrose road has the right shoulder blocked. This is in the mains due to a crash that's been cleared out for the most part, but there's no police and fire in the area, so definitely something to watch for. Also about in Frederick 15 northbound in the area of three 40 Jefferson street across their involving a motorcycle. In manassas, dumfries road, both ways at Purcell road, a serious crash there with their response also and on the outer loop of the beltway coalsville road, the left side blocked, one car into the Jersey wall watch for the police response through that spot as well. We were telling you about this previously, the Baltimore Washington Parkway, southbound after powder, mill, has lanes blocked there, also some delays on the northbound side, hearing there may be another crash on the southbound side at this point, as you approach powder mill, we're seeing delays from one 97 Laurel taking you all the way through that spot. "Friday, August 5th. Welcome to WTO P two 28 in the morning. I think it was all the 8s and when it breaks, good morning to rich under in the WTO traffic zone. Good morning dean, new problems gonna be eastbound on Maryland 200 just east of the interchange for 29 Columbia pike exit 16 for now traffic squeezing by single file to the right, apparently a vehicle spun out on the wet pavement, slammed into the Jersey wall then over into the guardrail. They've probably got about a hundred feet of guardrail damage that they'll have to take care of, but traffic is able to get by, single file to the right initially was just the right shoulder, but now they do have the right lane open there, but volume is very light so it's not causing any big delay. Elsewhere in Maryland stolen good shape on both I 95 and the Baltimore Washington Parkway between the two bellies to 70 north and South Korean clear as well. A bell waste from Montgomery and prince George's county is looking good. Folks making an early journey toward the eastern shore, no worries on either side of the bay bridge, eastbound, you've got two lanes open, westbound three lanes open and again, no reported delay in either direction, and if you're gonna continue inbound on U.S. 50 to Annapolis, buoy crossing the beltway and land them and continuing inside the bad way through Chevrolet toward the district line for now, moving along without delay, rich hundred WTO traffic Heads up for high water and area roads, especially in the metro area early on this Friday, storms will end, but watch again for those areas with flooded roadways, partial clearing with patchy fog remember turn around, don't drown if you hit any flooded roadways. 70s to start off on this Friday. It looks like they're doing some sort of investigation trying to figure out what happened with the crash right over the top of Pennsylvania avenue. So that may block the on ramp from especially eastbound Pennsylvania route four, so use caution expect to maybe go ahead and make a U turn if you're headed eastbound. Come back west bound get on the beltway past the crash. The left two lanes are getting by on the bellway with some delay, but not too bad as you're making your way around towards Largo on the outer loop of the beltway. Elsewhere it looks like we have a new crash on the southeast Southwest freeway. This is going to be coming off the 11th street bridge near the 8th street southeast exit. Don't have any lane information on that one use caution. If you do see it 8 6 6 three O four WTO, when you're safe to let us know what it, what lanes it may be taking. The I two 95 motorcycle crash completely gone. So you're a good shape, taking I two 95 from national harbor, enjoyed base anacostia bowling up towards these Douglas and southwest excuse me the 11th street bridges. Over in Maryland, elsewhere in Maryland, we've got crashes on university boulevard. I think it's actually eastbound at grandview avenue and Wheaton, three 55 northbound in the vicinity of Lake Forest mall crash involving a pedestrian and route four in lesbian northbound actually both directions now blocked at saint Leonard road. So you want to use caution there. And the crash on the freeway looks like it might actually be eastbound. We did find that that's going to be at south capital street taking up the right side. Stay to the left to get through as you're headed over towards the 11th street bridge. One more crash in Virginia, this is going to be on Columbia pike and the Bailey's crossroads area, right under route 7 as your head of westbound on Columbia pike, you will want to proceed through under that interchange with caution for the reported crash authorities not yet on the scene. The project will realign Columbia Pike from South Oak Street to Washington Boulevard. Modify the South Joyce Street intersection and the Columbia Pike Washington Boulevard interchange and construct a new South Nash street. Washington DC - Purple Lounge in Arlington County loses alcohol licenses again
"The Purple Lounge on Columbia Pike in Arlington has had its liquor license suspended again. His latest suspension will last for at least 10 days. It's in effect because of drug related arrests in the restaurant's parking lot in August. 2 men were also shot and wounded at that restaurant. Arlington County tried to revoke the purple lounges live Entertainment permit after a shooting at the restaurant in 2019

Washington DC - Pregnant woman dies, baby critical after shots fired into Columbia house, police say
"Woman was shot and killed last night in Columbia, Maryland. Her unborn child survived and is in critical condition. This morning, 30 year old Robbie Achmad was inside a house when Howard County Police spokesman Seth Hoffman says she was hit by gunfire. Police believe that the shot came from outside of the house. And several of the bullet struck the house and one of the bullet struck the woman. Police say there were several people inside the house in the 6600 block of Dovecote Drive near Columbia. Pike and Route 30 to the pregnant woman died at University of Maryland shock trauma in Baltimore, but doctors delivered her baby estimated to be 28 weeks in critical condition. Detectives are looking for any home surveillance video in the neighborhood that could help their investigation.

Washington D.C.: Arlington National Cemetery expansion prompts plans for road, land changes
"Arlington National Cemetery is going to expand to the south and at about fifty acres for future burials but a bunch of road in land changes are planned first the project includes moving Columbia pike for their self adding wider sidewalks to it and then a ten foot wide cycle track consultants project manager John Martin says the plan also fully incorporates the U. S.
