"I totally could have put something in the background of their blue screen video. I don't know. I did my best and help it was fun. It's also kind of weird. Here's the behind the scenes thing that I so I didn't need to tie with the Turkey. They sent me three videos. They sent me a video of the Turkey picking the Lions. The Turkey picking the Raiders and the Turkey picking buffalo. And I wish they had given me 6 different videos, 6. I hold of 8. 6 different videos because I could have shown the videos of the Turkey just being opposite to whatever I picked. I'm not going to compromise my predictions to fit alongside it Turkey. The Turkey can change its mind. I'm not going to change my mind. I'm not going to pick buffalo because the Turkey pick buffalo. I'm going to pick the teams, I think are actually going to win because I'm not losing credibility to make it Turkey video. I don't know. That was kind of weird to me, but all in all, again, high sense is great. I love my TV. They were fun to work with behind the scenes. This is some fun stuff like the blue screen. Was that on me? I legitimately don't know. And I regret not taking initiative there and just putting something in the blue screen. I should have done that and I got not and then also I wish if I did this again, I'd say, hey, give me a video of the Turkey making picking every single team possible. That way, I can just make my predictions and maybe show the Turkey being opposite. Although, hey, the Turkey made his own decision, like the Turkey pick buffalo, and so did I and the end we tie, which can you imagine if I lost to a Turkey? Thank God. I really did not want to make a video having to explain how a Turkey made better predictions for Thanksgiving than I did. That would have not been fun. So I think it worked out pretty well that we tied, I would have liked to win, but I just did not predict the Raiders winning. That was a surprise to me. And a great win for the Las Vegas Raiders. Okay. I want to shift my focus to NFL week 12. There are 9 games that I am really interested in during NFL week 12. Here are the 9 games. The Steelers at Cincinnati is going to be really fun. Joe burrow versus big band of division matchup. Both teams are fighting to stay in the playoff hunt. Game number two, the Buccaneers out the colts, it's a great opportunity for indie Indianapolis, the colts are on hard knocks and I'm thinking I'm realizing no, I didn't forget to react to hard knocks this week, didn't I? Did I did I don't remember? I don't think I did. That sucks, forgot about that. I should have. Well, I can do that maybe tomorrow. I don't know. So the colts have a great opportunity here though to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and I think that would be awesome. Again, the colts need this win a lot more than.

"The quote of the day was, I didn't know I had a brother in Hawaii so much for me. That was awesome. I want to say thank you so much for coming on. I should have asked this way earlier. And I messed up, I apologize, where can people find you? It's all good, man. I just appreciate you having me on here, man. It's always a joy to sit and talk football with you. I'm lord Owen. You can find me on Twitter and Instagram at colt's law, you can find I got a couple podcasts. One called colts law, one called believe in colts where my co host is de quell Jackson, the former Pro Bowl linebacker for the colts and for the run how did that happen, by the way? How the heck did you get a show with the quell Jackson? Have you seen me? I do great. Fair enough, but I do too, and I don't have a show with Tom Brady. What's going on? No, no. To be fair, believe podcast network got a hold of me and said, hey, we have an opening. We want somebody to do a host of the belief in colts podcast. And I was like, maybe? And they were like, we're going to try to get someone that you know, former colts player. And I was like, you do that. I'll join. That's awesome. And to quell Jackson agreed to it. So I was like, I'm there. I love to quilt. The quill is such a great, great person. Every week, sometimes twice a week. We record podcasts. And we sit for an hour and we sit and we just chat and have fun and talk football much like what we just did here today, you know? Absolutely wonderful. Also, to get back, you can find me on YouTube, ladies and gentlemen. My name, right? Here, Lawrence Owen. It's very simple. You can also look up colts law, very, very simple. Not coleslaw. Colts law. I'm just KFC coleslaw as it came to mind. I love good old KFC, man. There's nothing like it. All of their business. But man, I love you. I appreciate you. I think we'll have you. I don't know when we'll have you on next. We might have you on before now between now and February, but definitely in February we want to have you on and do kind of a season recap for the cold T year and talk about what happened and what went down and I just want to say, man, I got nothing but love for you. Thanks for coming on. You're wonderful, you're a great human being. I love your spirit. You got this passion that's so fun to interact with and I suppose I thank you so much for coming on. Well, thank you, again, thank you for having me. Thank you for coming on to my show, you know, a couple weeks ago. That was a great introduction between us and I thought we have a really good chemistry for people that's never really met each other to live opposite sides of the world, so very, very fun. I can't wait to get back with you and talk some more football. Yeah no, it's very rare to meet another person and not even we didn't even meet to talk on the phone basically and have the rapport we have. It's pretty fun and really special to me. It's really cool. Absolutely. I'm.

"They're the ones that won that game or had a big part of it, but you'll never know about it because they're not in the fantasy. You know they're not on your fantasy team because there's no list for a defensive tackle or something like that. So offensive lineman, you know? Again. Holy cow. I had a conversation with a sponsor during the preseason. They really wanted to sponsor the show. They were a fantasy football website. And I ended up not taking it, but they were actually they liked my pitch. And my pitch was I'm not gonna say I play fantasy football on your website. I'm not gonna do it. All I'm gonna say is, if you want to play fantasy football, you can go to blank and do it there. And they were actually okay with that. So I'm not going to say they're named but credit to them that they were willing to not. I wasn't gonna actually endorse their product. I was just gonna promote it. So that's the only workaround I've ever found is if people want to pay me money to talk about fantasy football. I refuse to say I play fantasy football because I don't and I hate it. But if you want to, power to you, like, people collect sports cards and I think it's a piece of cardboard. It doesn't really do anything to me. But if it gives you joy, great. I got no problem with other people enjoying what makes them happy. Dude, I have a video game collection that's ridiculous..

"Okay, so there's a reason why if, you know, you win a Super Bowl or if a quarterback a famous quarterback like Peyton Manning Tom Brady both known for this. You know, they go win a Super Bowl. They go get an MVP. What happens? They go and buy their entire offensive line something. Because they know they can they could not have done it without those 5 guys in front of them. Running backs who, you know, break 2000 Derek Henry, great running back. Without that run blocking in front of them, I promise you he's not got a thousand yards rushing already. You know what I mean? This is how it is. Johnson Taylor right now is getting 5.5 yards per carry so far this season. And if it wasn't for the run blocking in front of them, he'd be lucky to get four yards of carry. It's just how the NFL works. And people are so, you know, right off the bat, looking at those individual players and those prime spots at the running back or the quarterback or something of that nature, and not want to give the credit where a lot of that credit should be due because like you said, Joe Flacco wouldn't have won that Super Bowl without a good offensive line. Would not have won a Super Bowl without no veg strength. He knows too. He goes, too. Yeah, exactly, right? So, I mean, you've got to give credit to these guys occasionally. And I love the fact that a lot of people, a lot of content creators like you and I, we will do that occasionally. We're like, you know what? Had he not picked up that blitz in the time that he in that timely fashion that he did with had his head on a swivel and picked it up. This quarterback would not have had time to find that open receiver and hit him for that game winning touchdown. You know? It's very, very simple, quick thing. How much do you think? So I hate fantasy football. And if you have sponsors or even football say nothing. But I abhor fantasy football. It's the way that it's brewing. I think the way a lot of people look at the game, we focus on stats and numbers and the things that are sexy and not on the context that would actually win football games. And I just think in so many ways, I maybe I'm a purist I don't know how to put a better way.

"Yes. Mahomes has been a guy who has put his team on his shoulders many times over the last few years, and you see you caught glimpses of what happens when mahomes does it too much and you have to rely on himself too much. Like, you know, when he got blown out in the Super Bowl, you know, too much on his shoulders. Or was that the acy championship? I can't remember. Where no, no, that was the Super Bowl, right? Yeah, it gets Tampa Bay. I'm slow. You know, he was trying too hard too much of that was put on his shoulders, and he's gonna crack. And he's just like any other person in the NFL. Or anyone in the world, you know, you put too much on their shoulders. They can only lift so much. You gotta have some kind of support there. And mahomes is not got the support right now that he needs. That offensive line is playing awful. So the defense man the defense is the worst in the NFL. Yeah, I mean, when you walk into a game going, you know what? I have to throw a minimum of 5 touchdowns to win this game. You're setting yourself up for failure right from the get go. Right from the get go. So mahomes is probably in his own head more than the other teams are in his head in my opinion. Yeah, because make no mistake. It's not like his talent has just went. I don't happen to someone his age that that's on his level, right? So this is more of an organizational thing than it is a Patrick Mahomes. Oh, I totally agree. It's crazy. Well, first of all, the team is last in sacks. They have 8 of them this year, which is like nothing. As one a game basically, and then as a result of that, mahomes is trying to do way too many things. He's trying to make up for the bad offensive line..

"I'll be able to get over and if it's a cornerback, they can't out muscle me for it. You know, so just just give it to me. And Carson's been given it to passing him the ball more and more over the last four weeks and he's he's making something out of it. So I'm hoping to see more of that going into the future as well. So especially this season it's another one of those stories where I think he's learning how to play with Michael Pittman. He's like, oh, I can throw the ball up. I can really just man launch it up and let him knock the pull the ball away from a defender. He's also learning what Molly Cox does well. And I think cold fans should be actually glad that Molly Cox is not a bigger name because then he would demand more money. So it's actually he's kind of sneaking under the radar right now, which is keeping him lower on the salary cap and I think there's so much potential there, which is going to be fantastic. I think he was an RDA last season. And so, you know, which was 63 agent restricted create restricted free agent and so that's something that's kind of funny that you mentioned that if he was a bigger name, some other team would have snagged him up. You know, and given whatever a third or a second round pick, whatever he was tagged as for the off season. So absolutely. Absolutely. I fully agree. I'm gonna play some audio for you. I'm gonna do it the jank way, like the old like where you hold up the phone and you play it in the microphone and we'll see if you can hear it. I think I gotta play it here, and then we'll see if you can hear it through there. But you corrected me with something on your show. And I saw something because you were right, by the way. You talked about something and I was like, oh, he's totally right. And then I saw something at contradicted what you said, but also contradicted a guy had said about it. He himself contradicted himself. So I'll play it and then.

"And I kind of have to agree with it because, you know, all their important guys are young and extended for long, long-term contracts, save Quentin Nelson which obviously will happen next year. I love that. I mean, it's a period of transition where you go from one prime. It had a down year or two. The old names we got replaced by new young names that are convenient to the next couple of years and hopefully a golden era for the colts. Man, there's one move the colts made that I thought was amazing that's panned out really, really well. And I think they actually it's good they didn't try to pursue Matthew Stafford. They got a better price on a great quarterback who's younger who let's be honest, I don't know how many more years Matthew Stafford has left. Carson Wentz has got a long future in Indianapolis. And he's been a massive home run. He has I think the best player on the colts, and I think a lot of people look at the record and their losses early and don't understand how well Carson Wentz has been playing. I'm blown away when I watch this guy play football. How do you feel about the way Carson Wentz has played? Do you feel the same way that I do that it's been a massive success? Well, I mean, currently, if I remember reading a stat write over the last four weeks, Carson Wentz has the highest passer rating in the NFL. Over the last four weeks, that that's a huge statement. Taking away that O and three start where we already discussed that, you know, why? Let's say it again. Injuries, you're building chemistry with a new football team. He didn't play much during training camp. His offensive line isn't healthy. I don't think it's fair to hold the first three losses for Indy on Carson Wentz's head. That's just a ridiculous standard to hold the quarterback too. Fully 100% agree. And now that you're starting to see all that kind of come the fruition with this team, Carson Wentz is playing phenomenal. There's going to be a lot of people out there that's going to say, well, in that San Francisco game, he had like four turnover worthy plays. And I'm like, did you see what was going on in that game? You get a pass when there's an atmospheric river, literally that's what it's called passing through San Francisco. Sorry, man, I'm not gonna hold the turnovers against him. Or the turnover worthy pills. I mean, no, Carson Wentz was out there trying to play football in a water polo field. I love it. Well, yeah, that play on second and goal where I felt so bad for him 'cause he's got I think it was just running back open in the flat in the end zone. He tries to flip it to him and the ball just like falls out of his hand 'cause it's literally like waterlogged and you're like, oh, I just, I saw what he was thinking. He got criticized for trying to do too much. I'm like, I don't think he's normally if it's not wet, that's a play he makes, and that's a touchdown. I was just like, I felt bad for him in that play. Do me a favor. Yeah, when we get done recording here, go over, I'm sure it's on game pass right now. Go check out the film on.

"With his foot injury, so yeah, there's a lot of lot of problems, Ryan Kelly, the Pro Bowl center, you know, he had his hyperextended elbow early in training camp. So he wasn't able to practice for a long extended period. The offensive line went through so many injuries early on, and you can't under can't understate overstate how important it is for offensive linemen to get snaps together. To get that gel to understand how the guys next to you are going to be blocking and what they will do in certain situations under under certain schemes, and then of course the quarterback. He's got to know how these guys are blocking him around them too. If a guy's coming around the edge, he needs to know, is that left tackle going to push him on out further? Or is he going to try to stop him on the edge and possibly allow that edge defender to roll inside? You know? So that's something that has taken a little longer for the colts for them to iron out because of the injuries. I think that had a lot to do with that O one three start. And you talk about, you know, like the rams, not only with wince being out that last drive. They had the ball. First in goal inside the 5, twice in the first quarter of that game, and came away with zero points. All right, that's huge. Baltimore. They should have won that game against Baltimore. You know, they were up 19 points in the fourth quarter, and all of a sudden, Lamar Jackson realizes, oh yeah, I'm allowed to throw the football. And then so the colts were, you know, set up to stop the run and they did. They broke that whole record thing that Baltimore had for years and years of having a hundred yards rushing, but they were so set on that. They didn't adjust well, and then of course they only had 5 defensive backs because the injuries in that game to their defensive backfield. So now that the colts I think are getting healthy and starting to get to know each other, get the gel a little bit and getting their stars back. It looks to me like Indy's owner role. And we're going to find out this Sunday. Where they truly are because right now, Tennessee is playing superb football. Yeah, my expectations have shifted this year. I started the year really high in the colts. I think I'm like, this team, if everything goes right, has shot at a Super Bowl. And things didn't go right. Unfortunately. And then I learned well, really, they need a playmaker in their secondary. They could use. I just don't know what the left tackle looks like next year. We'll just see how that works out. They need a long-term plan there. I'd love to see them get another big kind of weapon, a big playmaker on offense. But if you get those three things, like I'm convinced that the colts could win at Super Bowl. And right now, like best case scenario for the colts in my view is you're fighting to try to make the wildcard spot and use that use whatever happens the rest of this year to build momentum for next year when if you get a couple holes on your roster filled, you can make a big run. I'm curious, what are your expectations? And how do you feel about the rest of the year and what do you want from your team as a year comes to a close and we have what 11 games left?.

"We've seen we've seen what he can do. I mean, it's USC and a lot of people like you know USC. USC doesn't necessarily coach their receivers to be NFL ready. You know what I mean? They've had that problem in the past. But Michael Pittman, as you talk about, he has this natural ability. He has like three hours of highlights of him just mawson people and catching it at USC and coming down with it turning around. And last year you didn't see that at all when Philip Rivers was at quarterback, which is weird because when he was with the Chargers, that's all you saw Philip dude was hey Williams, go get this, you know? Hey, Alan, go get this. And he didn't do that at all with Michael Pittman. I don't know if it was just because he was a rookie or if he wasn't trusting him or what. And you didn't see that a lot in the first three weeks, either. When the colt started off Owen three, you know? With with Carson Wentz. And now as the season progresses, and they've been practicing together, I think Carson Wentz is starting to realize, I've got something here with this kid. You know, he has really, really good hands, even like he's talking about I don't know if he would call all those. You know, in The Rain, in San Francisco, I mean, he was targeted taking out the PI penalties. He was targeted four times, caught all four balls for over a hundred yards and that touchdown. You know, so that's a huge benefit knowing that even under duress and under special circumstances that are going against the receiver he can still throw that ball out there, and it's not a 50. They like to call that a 50 50 ball, but when you're throwing at the Michael Pittman, it seems more like an 80, 20 ball. You know what I mean?.

"I watched the forty-niners and colts game from send in a football. Let's jump into that. There was an atmospheric river, which is like a crazy insane rain downpour. It couldn't believe that was actually what they called it too. I was like, wow, all right. Let's I don't know where you want to start here, but I'm curious, what's your general takeaway after watching that game watching the colts win 30 to 18 over the forty-niners on Sunday Night? Oh, man. Well, I knew it was gonna be a slot fest from like midway last week. They were talking about how much rain and stuff that they were getting. I mean, they started on like a Wednesday or a Thursday and it wasn't supposed to end until after the game. And I was like, well, there's going to be a lot of turnovers in this game, hopefully the colter on the right side of that one. Because, you know, both these teams were built very similar. You know, they both liked to run the ball. They rely heavily on their defense and offensive lines and run the football and not turning the ball over and I knew that being that it was going to be a lot of turnovers that I was really, really hoping that Indy would be, you know, on the positive side of that, like they've been all season. And then the game starts and I watch the forty-niners just walk right down on their first drive and score touchdown, and then on the first touch of the ball for the colts offense Jonathan Taylor fumbles it, gives it away. They kick a field goal. Colts automatically down 9 nothing. Right away, you know, like four minutes into the game, colter down 9, and I'm like, well, this isn't looking good. You know? And then I started watching the colt start to get a little bit of rhythm going, you know? And yes, there was turnovers throughout the game. I expected it. I'm glad that certain players who are good at making turnovers like Darius Leonard was out there actively looking to use the weather in his favor, and he did so. And what surprised me the most was how good some of these players for the colts was in this weather as opposed to the niners because this is something that the forty-niners should be used. They had these kind of weather games, you know, more often than what we do here in Indy. Especially with us having a roof, you know, when we want it. And they seemed incredibly afraid to throw the football downfield whereas Carson Wentz in the colts were more than happy to throw the ball in 40 mile an hour winds and drenching downpour, and I think that was the difference in.

This is strong opinion sports episode 400 and two. A couple minutes ago, I got off of a call with Lawrence Owen, one of my man, good friends in the sports world. I really love this guy. He's got a spirit that I love. He reminds me. Honestly, he reminds me of one of my offensive linemen, a guy who used to be really close with and just battled hard for me back in my football career. He's got this spirit of an offensive lineman. He's wonderful. It's just a great dude. I love him. He's colts insider Lawrence Owen. And I talk about Carson Wentz. Football Booster Club Raffles Firearms, Concerning Some Parents
"Us what the cedar cliff. Colts booster club. Did and how it was received. Well you know a lot of these district clubs are what support In particular football those are what support the team. It helps them get the new equipment. New jersey Things of that nature the things that keep them safe and and they're usually charged with you know making a raising x. amount of money and they're all volunteer booster clubs are all volunteer programs. Almost all just made up with the parents because the players and or the cheerleaders and this year has been particularly hard to raise money. Because you know restaurants aren't giving you know is is. They're reluctant to give away anything free. Which is what they traditionally do or give away free meals In support of the booster club. You know this kids will buy a certificate and then they go around and they try to sell her raffle well. It's become incredibly impossible for these young people to raise money so they came up with the idea of having a raffle. There's ten different items on the raffle of those ten five variety of different kinds of guns. Now in dolphin and and cumberland counties because this this school district covers both Owning a gun is as common is only a car or a chart country this is hatred on thing and target shooting and and so you know they decided to have a raffle and gowns for part of it now. If the if you wanna gun eat it went one it. You got two hundred dollars dead. But there was one parent who took exception to this role and took it to the school district and the school district in. "Let's go back to two thousand fifteen when you said that. The supreme court makes this law saying that Two men can get married or two women can get married and it's a funny thing right because we can still say well. I love my gay friends just the way that i love my my friends that they don't work they don't walk with jesus i love them but i'm not going to say that's a good thing i'm not gonna say it's great that you're not walking with jesus i'm gonna love you but i have my conscience won't let me affirm you in that. It is a strange thing that you and i have gone to point our lifetimes. We're not that old but we're the quote unquote law of land has for the first time ever become into to what this says in a very bold way so when that happened because i didn't know you in twenty fifteen how many others who else was boldly speaking about this. You know to be honest with ya. Everybody seems to be silent about all the issues. And so i think because i did come out and say something and nobody else. Was everybody just kind of gravitated to us. And so we had this wave of growth not just in the church but most of all on social media and i tell people look. I'm not a jerk for jesus. I know i'm super demonstrative. About what i believe but acceptance and approval or two very different things. I'm called by the gospel to accept you no matter what you choose to do. That doesn't mean you have to approve of your lifestyle. We speak the truth in love but we can't speak love at the expense of truth because if you just speak love and no truth and it's not loving nor is it truthful and so nobody was really saying anything and i saw the nefarious plan. I said look this is going to open pandora's box and we see now that we're fighting what i call the alphabet colt. Lgbtq b. l. Am the whole deal and so we were right. We were right to say that this is going to open pandora's box. It's always been about the kids and it's about the kids now it's about indoctrination of our young people and so that's where we are and now pastors are like oh my goodness we. We don't want to say anything about it because that doesn't make us loving no the gospel proclaims that we have to call seeing what it is.
The Zach Wilson Era Is off to a Disastrous Start
"So let's talk about zack wilson. Because you mentioned him and watching him lose twenty five to six at home to the patriots and bill ballot check and bill. Bella check destroys rookie. Quarterback's he consumes them. He picks their bones. That's all stuff that we know already cleans. His teeth with the bones of rookie quarterback is what he does but we saw jets fans alex. You know throwing in the towel and it's week two. And i say that because they were literally throwing souvenir tales from the stands. And zach wilson. The four picks. I'm curious about climbing into your memory bank here because what do you. Alex smith remember about playing the colts back in two thousand and five pablo. I've definitely tried to forget this one all right but we're good. I do remember my first career. Start the number one defense at the time and like the colts were in their heyday. Payton was rolling. But that defenseman dwight free robert matt Bob sanders. i mean it was. It was a joke and yeah. It's all a terrible blur for me. Like four picks i think my rating was it like it was a disaster but i think that was a clear design i was i just turned twenty one. I mean i played only two years in college in a spread system now trying to plan their center. Probably this become this pro quarterback whatever that is and It was not good. I was definitely i. I felt unprepared. And it was a disaster and it showed. You've been a guy who had a four interception game really early after being a top. Pick your the number one overall pick of course. What do you counsel him. Hypothetically what do you stay to him after a game like this if you were to visit him. Alex smith kind of like a ghost of christmas future. What do you. What do you tell a kid who's very talented but also just had a day like this. I think exactly that. I mean i think you gotta go like for me. I just go to the third and fourth picks that he grew and pause before the snap and look look like jack. It's ten to three on this one. It's in the third quarter we got. There's a ton of football left. There's no reason to throw this ball up The way he did and then even the second one in the fourth grade. I mean i think it was thirteen to three. At that point. There is still time. Left like again I think going back to just doing your

HBO's 'Hard Knocks' Will Feature Indianapolis Colts in First-Ever in-Season Episodes
"For the first time hard knocks. We'll follow one team during the regular season and the colts are the team that will be featured this year h. b. o. Will be with the team through the end of the season which would include the playoffs. If they qualify they'll be at least nine episodes and the first one will air on november seventeenth. This is all the information we have about the series. We don't know yet what the criteria is for the team being selected and if the colts were able to turn it down it's the nfl films senior executives said thanks. Hbo along with incredible cooperation from the colts we were able to deliver ground. Bake breaking new edition of the series. So that seems to hints at the colts agreed to this. We don't have an answer. A confirmation on that yet. So we're so getting a little information about
What is Self-Determination With Richard Ryan
"Conceptualization of self-determination. What is it you know before we get to the nuts and bolts of the needs in and the nuances of the theory quizzes. Talk about self determination for. Because i think that's an interesting in of itself of what does that mean among humans. What are we determining. Didn't some other terms like self-regulation self-determination is when you know what you're doing is something that you feel you're regulating and in other words that you're also a behavior that you stand behind or self endorse this is why it aligns with phenomenal logical view of self determination because when you act with self-determination. You're acting roy where you're willing to do it. And you do it volition lee and therefore you can be wholeheartedly engaged in what. You're up to in in kind of that. That briefest form self-determination is true volition true volition so there's a lot of things that can arise that can pull me away from a or even for me into thinking. I'm volition when i when i really don't. I'm fascinated with the phenomenon of colts. You know and i'm fascinated with the phenomenon of mind control So i guess you can have external coercion and you can have. You can have internal coercion. You know people with. Ocd people with lots of things a lot of competing you know. Psychopathology and things. That are their inner Taking them away from your higher self. So so i think that. And you're right you're right scott. Which is that. It's not parallel to the distinction between internal and external because you can have had her automous forces that are with it. you can have your own interjection. Have your own internalized. Stigma pressures biopsies that. Actually take you away from self determination. Tommy so the threats to autonomy are not just extra inter.
Carson Wentz Not Nearly Good Enough vs. Seahawks in Sluggish Colts Debut
"More of the same in the west the seahawks taking down the colts. Twenty eight sixteen russell wilson stupid good they look a machine again. I thought it was mixed reviews on carson. A Stroll Through Racing History: September 11th
"On september tenth. Two thousand one keeneland association in lexington kentucky opened its annual september. Yearling sale a colt by leading sire storm cat. Top the opening session at five point. Five million dollars the final crop of legendary sire. Mr prospector was attracting considerable interest. As well it was business as usual but the following morning as handlers presented yearlings to prospective buyers in the bar area and as consigners were busy rushing updates to the sales pavilion images of coordinated terrorist attacks on the united states began. Filling newscasts being streamlined. On television monitors located throughout keeneland sales complex there were horrific images from new york from washington dc and from pennsylvania the nation was thrown into chaos on the keeneland sales grounds individuals who only moments earlier had been preoccupied with selling and buying horses suddenly stopped. They stared in disbelief struggling to comprehend what was unfolding on the east coast. Keeneland officials immediately announced that the start of the sale will be delayed by one hour but then as the depth of the attacks became more fully known. The decision to the way became a decision to postpone with keeneland. The mount saint that the sale would not continue until the following day at the earliest given that it was tuesday. Only eleven tracks across the country rescheduled the host. Live racing the downs at albuquerque delaware. Park fairmount park fair. Plex finger lakes great lakes downs. The meadowlands mountaineer racetrack philadelphia park prairie meadows and sunray park all eleven canceled. Most racing facilities would remain closed the following day as well at keeneland the president. Nick nicholson announced the formation of a red cross relief fund. It raised one hundred thirty thousand dollars within the first twenty. Four hours in the midst of the shock. Anger and sadness. There was also a stronger sense of community beginning to emerge
Colts' Carson Wentz, Ryan Kelly, Zach Pascal Placed on Reserve/COVID-19 List
"Carson Wentz, wide receiver Zach Pasco and Senator Ryan Kelly have all been placed on the Covid list and will miss the next five days of practice after being deemed close contacts of someone who has covid 19, meaning all three players are unvaccinated Wentz just returned to the practice field after missing close to a month. With a foot injury, meaning Jacob season will get first team reps this week under center for Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Colts' T.Y. Hilton to Miss Start of Season
"T Y. Hilton expected to miss the start of the regular season after re aggravating a neck injury. At practice last week earlier on ESPN radio are Courtney Cronin in Shape Peppler. The Colts need to let go stage their locker room like they need to take a page out of the Baltimore Orioles and what they did there in breaking a 19 game losing streak because it just feels like injury after injury for them Now, next on the list is T Y Hilton, who's got a back problem. They don't know the diagnosis with That, But I know Courtney, you've got some more insight as to what the deal is with T Y Hilton in Indianapolis. Yeah, Apparently he was injured in practice on Wednesday. This didn't come from the preseason game that they just played on Friday. That happened early, and then he came back out and he was able to finish practice. But now we find out Shea that he has a back and a neck injury and he's out indefinitely and that comes on the heels. And, like 24 hours, they find out that and then Sam Ehlinger, the backup quarterback as a knee injuries out for 4 to 6 weeks. I think that this Indianapolis team for all the steps forward that they were able to take in the last few weeks, getting Carson Wentz back at practice, the good at least, you know, positive news that they got with Quentin Nelson, who had the same foot injury that Carson once has. That it's not going to be the end of his season, either, And then they're dealt this blow the big one here, though, as I look at all of these injuries and trying to figure out which is the worst one is probably Ehlinger because you don't know when Carson once is really going to be ready to play. Is it going to be weak? One? They haven't put that timetable on him. Yet. That is still two weeks away. Your backup quarterback right now is Jacob Eason like it was supposed to be Ehlinger. But now he's out 4 to 6 weeks. That's something that I don't think is a should give them any confidence. That's a Big below Hilton, Like many

"Oh four to win the afc south as we told you in the last segment. The colts plus one forty tennessee. Twenty eight to one to win the super bowl. That we get into some player props. This'll be more interesting than md. Because you know better better players better players and a better offense ryan tannehill. Four thousand fifty and a half passing yards. Derrick henry one thousand five hundred fifty and a half rushing yards. Gimme that under for a million dollars. Plus three hundred. The lead the league in rushing yards plus four fifty to lead the league in rushing touchdowns. Aj brown twelve hundred and a half receiving yards. Julio jones one thousand and a half receiving yards so those are some of the numbers here again for your two thousand twenty one tennessee. Titans what are you thinking. Who absolutely fascinating team. Much more interesting. I would say that in indianapolis because indianapolis. I only ever wanna play one way and tennessee. I'm not actually quite sure yet. What i would like to do with them. They have joked in our chat. Indianapolis may not be awful or they may not be a mess but they have all the familiar symptoms of teams. That are mets. Basically tennessee has some familiar symptoms of teams. That might be like really really good But they have question marks just like any team. Does i will start with some particulars. They can kind of guide this conversation There are two things about tennessee that strike me as the most interesting and and that's not even counting the offensive coordinator which i think i'm going to get. You're gonna touch it because he had some good stuff on that before One thing that's interesting about tennessee is a talk about like culture or coach quarterback tandem. Any of that stuff migrate has been the coach for three years. This season He's gone over his win total every single year. He's been the head coach. So there's some coaches you just kind of can get a read on based on how they perform. I the market. For example matt patricia..

"When seven two one two and comeback player of the year. Jonathan taylor over under rushing yards twelve hundred and a half ten to one to lead the league in rushing. Jonathan taylor is and michael pittman the study young receiver seven hundred fifty half receiving yards. Some of the notable player props this year for the colts. No one's props upright now. Normally we talk about quarterbacks. We can't do that here. Because of the uncertainty with winston. What he's gonna play that's why we don't have any carson wentz numbers for you so can your take year on the twenty twenty one indianapolis colts think normally when we have a team in this win. Total range so call at like nine to ten something like that. We find ourselves having the conversation with the steam cleveland. I guess is a little higher than that. But some of the nfc west teams. I think are in this ranger. I think the conversation that you generally have is a miami new england definitely in this ranch. That's what i was trying to think of. The conversation becomes our. Can they achieve like amazing outcomes like okay. There are expected to be pretty good. Can they be insanely good. Can they have the best record in the league and they win the super bowl. Can they produced an mvp candidate. Those are the types of conversations that we were having with some other teams in this winter range and yet with this team i find myself wanting to play. Extremely negative outcomes like crazy extreme negative outcomes for a few different reasons. So i'll start with one of the obvious things. I kinda wanted to see where the total would settle. It was nine and a half before once got hurt. It's nine now. I think it might actually go up now as we get close to the start of the season because once his practicing and like i think he's going to be the starter week one i really do and if that happens then i feel like we just end up right back where we started cyclic. All we were nine before nine and a half again And if that's true. I'm gonna have a wintel under on this team. I've mentioned the statistic before the trend. I guess i should say we can start here. But just how do i. How would i bet the indianapolis colts this season. If you want about the under i would wait like your your way your way past the like when scott hurt. Let's take advantage of that. That train was like two weeks ago. So you might as well just see where we go towards the start of the season maybe get. I was off right when that happens. And you texted me. And that was at at the car wash standing outside and the one hundred degree heat on like just fire. Enough beds like eddie anti called. I can place. I did right. "Ourselves thinking the cowboys everyone. A lot of people. Anyway have very high hopes and expectations for them. But who was. The most important person doesn't have to necessarily be a player. Who's the most important person for the cowboys. This season kimberly. And now the obvious answer is deck. I know people say that. My interest mike mccarthy because this falls under him this all this team the defense. The offense no mountain nolan was. He's gone now. Why was he on the team. Mike mccarthy brought a bit so i think overall how we handled deck situation. How you handle the improvements that needs to happen is all on mccarthy coach under the microscope swag how about you. Who's the most important person for the cowboys. This year person. I angle followed rules. I'm gonna go people and that's the linebacker core for the dallas cowboys. That is late vander rich and his jails mifflin. Michael parson newly drafted linebackers. Listen this defense was so out wag last year and when you look at talent when you get guys that can make explosive plays and changed. The dynamic of this defense is that linebacking core. I got a little bit of work to do. Still up front in the middle out. These guys emerging play at a high level but these three linebackers have an opportunity to be as good as any unit in the nfl. They gotta get it right lane. Staying healthy jalen beck and more natural spot understanding. What the do and mike parsons. Based on his draft ability in this athletic ability should be high. These are the three most important outside of that. Parsons probably best. The consensus best defensive player in this year's draft might be the most important person on the cowboys this year dak prescott lord to number day won six games last year and he only played in five the whole year They're paying him. Forty million dollars reason in my opinion. He's a top five elite difference making. Let's hope that right shoulders okay. Because i predicted them to be tampa me and jerry. Jones may be the only two things out on opening day. But that's how good dak prescott is there. You're siding with david over goliath. We'll see and for me. I'm going to go back to the beginning of the conversation. The most important person on the cowboys is jerry jones because whether they win three games this year thirteen games this year. We're going to talk about them every single week. They're the only team that when we talk about that. We put up on the screen. Last won the super bowl nineteen ninety-six we talk about the jets. We never say last won the super bowl in one thousand nine hundred sixty eight. Why because nobody cares. But everybody cares about the dallas cowboys. And i put jerry jones up there. Because he's the most obvious personification of that. But you really. You could go back and tom. Landry's fedora on there because it goes back at that that everyone is talking about the dallas cowboys. Swag sit.

Nick foles is in chicago buried at the third string you know what the hell carson wentz would be based off his last season buried at the third stream we think frank reich can resurrect carson wentz. We damn so gotta thank that he could resurrect nick foles for five weeks to hold the now until carson wentz hits back if carson is in this fillings and that takes him away from being able to be a successful quarterback that's carson wentz problem that coach problem so you greeny and dan and carson wentz go cry because we tried to win games. We worry about today. I'm feeling directly town sank. Never ask a defensive player about a quarterbacks feelings or injuries. But kimberly let me come to you. Let me try to appeal to you. Because you are sensitive person. I quarterback should more like basketball players like football players. Most football players. I agree are like marcus. And they'd just tell them where to show up and who to hit and they do that. But quarterbacks are a little different. You wouldn't do this with basketball star. You would take into account the psychology of the situation and in this unique case i believe they have to consider the same thing in indianapolis. Am i missing the point. I think you are right about the psychological issue with carson wentz right. But if you're the colts if you believe.

"That's going to linger into the regular season. I a conservative approach. You see that guy behind his name is brett brown. I spent a lot of time with brett brown. And we own those courts that we call them during practice and wild practices going on. That's an indication that you'll be back fairly soon. And i know the quarterback position. And i know what that has been through but also history tells me not to have concern that prescott says out covered him at mississippi state is one of those guys who is going to play if his body allows him to play now. Obviously we saw the ankle injury. And we know that you have to go and have surgery and do all of that. I'm not concerned y'all and this because look and maybe maybe so. Maybe it's because. I know of daggs makeup. Maybe his because i've seen him deal with these injuries and things all when he was in college. I'm not overly concerned. I'll be concerned if we get the week one and then they're still talking about that needing some risk. That's when i'll be concerned but right now this time out no concern whatsoever because the dax make up more than anything i get it. Your buddy orlowski was on here yesterday. Reminding everybody that the one thing a quarterback never gets the chance to do during the season as rest arm. They throw basically every single day so if they don't get to the point that that mike mccarthy was making if they don't get this cleared up right now it won't get cleared up at any point so it does feel though what is at minimum worth watching might take your perspective. Yeah absolutely. that's why. I'm concerned and marcus talked about how competitive decades the fact that he's not practicing is telling us a little bit more significant than maybe they're laying onto remember coach parcells always talked about poor baths throw.
