"Total in the game, 43 and a half, 44, depending on the shop, those are the two most dominant numbers that are dotting the market right now. Kudos to Jeff Saturday for not for having buyer's remorse on not using his time outs against the Pittsburgh Steelers. A game that the Indianapolis Colts let slip away in the waning stages there coming up short 24 17 on Monday Night Football. Huge rest advantage for the Dallas Cowboys having played on Thanksgiving, the colts are much shorter week. First meeting for these two franchises since 2018, when you look at the game's biggest mismatch here pain, the colts, they're 30th and points per game this season, they're 43 sacks allowed, the most in the NFL. In steps the Dallas Cowboys defense second in points per game allowed 45 sacks most in the National Football League. Be easy to attack that side of the ball, but again, give you the opportunity to find the one factor that you think will determine this outcome. It may be the other side where can the colts do enough to slow down this cowboy's offense if they're going to stay inside the number. The smart approach here for the colts is to enhance variants for as long as humanly possible and slow this game down and run it right at Dallas where they're a little soft in the belly and that's something we've talked about a couple times, right? The interior of that defensive line for Dallas is certainly not impenetrable. You can do some damage there. The colts got down multiple scores Monday, so they had to go tempo. So I think Chris Ballard and the staff has been alerted, right? Hey, this might be at least the smart approach early on is just slow this freaking game down. And enhance that variance. But there's really one path to keeping this within the ten and a half. And it's moving the cowboys defense in the trenches being able to pick up four or 5 yards of pop, taking 30 seconds between snaps. Dallas is 28th in yards allowed per rush before first contact that's a little bit more predictive than the overall rushing efficiency number, which is probably depicting a defense that's somewhere in the fringe top ten range. But if the colts can run, and they can kind of stay within this number a little bit. But if they're forced to play catch up, things could snowball here. Matt Ryan is going to be a sitting duck. Indy's 31st in pass block win rate. And you look at Matt Ryan, he's done a really good job trying to get the ball out quickly 2.6 second release time. Even with that, he's been 34% of his drop backs, which is well well well above league average. When Matt Ryan's under pressure, he has been abysmal. And you kind of think of that correlation to the cowboys defense, right? Who's number one in the NFL by a wide margin and pressure rate, and they're in the middle of the pack in terms of sending blitzes. So they're able to get natural pressure. You got to be able to run the ball here. So Matt Ryan isn't forced with some third and mediums in third and longs with that offensive line pass protecting. I think indie has to employ that ground game and bleed the clock strategy and get a few timely stops there. Have some situations where you can hold the three instead of giving up 7 a driver two. And that's really the only path. The margins are pretty thin here. Let's see if you can get 40 pay upgraded. I think that's probably a little bit of a long shot, but if you can. Dallas's offensive line ain't great. And if you can get some pressure there, create a turnover. I think the other thing that's kind of created some panic in the market in regards of the total is the loss of Kenny Moore. He has a shin injury from Monday night. He's not going to play. I think we know the player that Kenny mork can potentially be. And he's been a guy that's on the fringe of being a Pro Bowl guys operated in the slot. He's looking for a big money deal. This new defense doesn't seem to suit him very well. Obviously want him out there if you're betting the colt or thinking about the under. But in terms of his play this season, he's graded out cornerback a 183 out of 200. So I don't think it's as large of a loss as potentially others in the market seem to think it is. Yeah, I mean, when you look at this colts team look, they don't wow you with anything they do. Jot clearly, Jonathan Taylor has been a focal point and establishing the ground game that we seem to be so effective when they can get going. But to your point, that only works if you're within a neutral game state. If you're chasing a two touchdown deficit, suddenly Matt Ryan having to throw to get you back in the game. A little bit more problematic and probably does not create the best recipe for success. Well, we'll see and you get the thought process, right? You get the thought process of the initial Dallas money in that the stories over. The Jeff Saturday story was so nice. And he went out there and got a win against the Raiders and played the eagles tough in the best spot ever. But you're starting to see the issues, right? I mean, they just got absolutely beat up on Monday Night Football. And I don't think the score was indicative of what truly transpired, if not for a couple of special teams return setting up short fields for the loads. And then you have the blunder with the timeouts late. And you just wonder if people in this locker room are now like, I know we beat the Raiders, but we're kind of seeing what everyone was joking about our coach and some of those things we're seeing unfold in front of our eyes. It's like, are you going to get the buy in here? I think the saving grace might be like, you're probably not packing it in on a nationally televised game. And I understand that football is a physical sport. And we kind of have these conversations all the time. The eye in the sky never lies and you're putting stuff on film and you can't not go a 100% because of injury, but the belief in that locker room has to be dwindling about Jeff Saturday's acumen as a head coach. Leif gets you so far, but as you always say, somewhere along the way, it's productivity and it's the things that you see happening transpire on the football field that'll get you to the window not only from a straight up standpoint. But for what we do in this world from an ATS perspective. Again, reminder, you can follow pain on Twitter at pain insider. Snell runs for go-ahead TD, Steelers hold off Colts 24-17
"Many snells, fourth quarter touchdown run, was the difference in the Steelers win over the colts. The Pittsburgh defense held off a late game drive by Indianapolis for 24 to 17 victory. Steeler quarterback Kenny Pickett called it a confidence booster for his team. Colts quarterback Matt Ryan struggled in the first half as Indianapolis falls to four 7 and one

"App, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Chris collinsworth, Sunday Night football, it'll be the colts and cowboys coming up on Sunday Night football, Chris with Mike trico. We make it a bigger deal about Russell Wilson with teammates not attending his birthday party here, Chris. Silly story? Man, I guess you got half of them to come and, you know, if I got a tenth of them to come to my party, I'd feel good about it. If you showed up, I feel good, just the two of us, you know, flashback to Dayton and tell old stories about, you know, the glory days and they replay and one on one basketball game for about 30 seconds and then we would both pass out. Grab a coffee somewhere. Is this a big deal? I mean, losing is a big deal, right? I mean, let's be honest, we thought with the jets, right? I mean, it doesn't matter who the quarterback is. If you're not scoring points, I've had that look before. I've had that look where our offense is struggling. And you're running off the field because you run right past the defense of guys, right? And they're all looking at you like, are you guys ever gonna score a point today? Because we're out here killing ourselves and you guys aren't holding up your share of it. And that happens even inside a single game sometimes. But when you're a free agent or you're a new guy, you get paid all the money, you're brought into the locker room. He asked them to give up their days off, so he could go present to the offense. His version of the team that they were about to play, they all showed up for all that stuff. And at some point, you're offense, continues to struggle, it's just a natural part of if you are the leader of something. And it's not going well, it's going to get ugly. I mean, it does. It's just the way that it is running PFM when I make a bad decision. I get the guys look at me and they go, what are you doing? Right? So it's a natural part of leadership. You know, Russ is mister enthusiastic all the time and let's ride and all that stuff. And it's fantastic when you're in the playoffs and you're going to super bowls and when it's the opposite, yeah, you're going to get you're going to get that look.

"A lot of safeties. Yeah, that's what I thought was going to happen. And I don't know if I said this on the show or not, but after because I ripped the Raiders for losing. And then to the colts. And then the colts almost beat the eagles and almost beat the Steelers. And while the Steelers aren't good this year, I thought that it's a Mike Tomlin defense, right? And it's still like toddler, right? So I think someone posed it to me this way. Were you mad? Were you so over critical of their raiders losing to the colts because you thought it was an egregious thing in and of itself, or because you thought that Jeff Saturday was going to be way more incompetent than he actually was. And so the results surprised you. And so I don't know. It forced me to keep an open mind. I'm keeping an open mind now. And I have nowhere else to put this, so I'm just going to put it here. Jeff Saturday. I thought he was the I saw him on the sidelines on Monday and I was thinking about it. When I saw that press conference, I was like, this guy's not going to wear a hat because he's got such good hair. Yeah. And I started thinking about, well, how many NFL coaches don't wear a hat? And there's actually a sizable amount of guys who don't wear a hat. I didn't realize that. I kind of thought like all NFL coaches wore a hat, but then I did some research, started digging in, and I made what I think is a fairly comprehensive list of hat coaches and non hat coaches. Okay. Do you want to take a run at the non hat coaches? The non hat coaches. Okay. There's one, two, three, four, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, ten. There's 11. But one of them is only sometimes. See, this sometimes it's what is what's gonna throw me. I'd like to know if there's anyone who never wears a hat. So lovey Smith I've seen with and without a hat. So let's take him out. There's ten guys. Ten guy, Ted never had hers. Ten never had hers. Okay, let me think. Advisers don't count. And I want to make this a point because I made the list. Visors don't count as a half. Visor is a hat, a visor. Yes. I thought you were saying the other thing. Okay. Oh my God, I made this list and everyone's sending me pictures of Josh McDaniels in Dennis Allen and I'm saying that's a hat. And they're saying no, it's a visor. Yeah. Because by virtue of it not covering your hair and I was like, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm not doing that. I'm not doing that. I'm not doing it. Robert sala. Yes. Okay. And that's the thing.
John Mellencamp Sits for National Anthem Before Colts-Eagles Game
"John mellencamp. He's still a thing apparently. He's 71 years old. And Mellon camp's music has been used by a lot of politicians over the years. He's one of these, what he's from Indiana, one of the heartland guys, sings about blue collar workers, but the guys are raging leftist, as a matter of fact, he once said that the problem with Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton is they were not liberal enough. So anyway, mellencamp portrays himself as like, you know, I'm down with the people kind of a guy. Well, over the weekend, he was at the Indianapolis game. Was it Indianapolis and Philadelphia? Big football game, and he was spotted inside a luxury suite because we all know that regular Joe's just hang out in the luxury suites. And he was stuffing his face with popcorn and his butt was in the seat. During The Star-Spangled Banner. So we got a picture of it up on the website, someone snapped a photo. Sport says mellencamp is one of America's greatest frauds. And the reality is this guy is a radical, radical leftist. But really, I mean, this guy can't muster the courage to stand up for 90 seconds. And show a little bit of respect to the men and women who fight for our freedom, he can't do that. I mean, come on. No, I don't know. I don't know if it was orville redenbacher. I don't know what kind of popcorn it was, Kyle, I'm sorry. But probably some of that, I don't know. Organic unsalted popcorn. The stuff without the butter.

"You know, we could have a juju Smith Schuster ten catch 155 yard game and then never hear from him again and I think that that is bad for certain teams. Like you wouldn't want that if you're the Vikings, but I think if you're the chief, it's fantastic, right? Because all these guys are capable of carrying a load for a game. And Patrick Mahomes is good enough to make it through those progressions and find the guy that is, has the opening, right? Has the advantage. You know what I think this game is going to be. And I'm going to annoy everyone and not predict a winner, but I think it's going to be really high level quarterback play, which is not bold. I think it's going to be a lot of sustained offense and long time consuming drives, and I think it's going to be one of those games where it ends up like 27 24, and then everyone says, like, oh, a game is only 27 24 with moments of burrow. But the games that tend to get into the 45 to 40 type of range usually involve like pick 6s and fumbles and lots of turnovers and lots of sloppy play, lots of incompletions to stop the clock sort of thing. I don't think you're going to see that. I think you're just going to see two teams clicking offensively and the ball is going to move steadily back and forth and back and forth. And in the end it's going to come down to a field goal by someone. Interesting. I like that prediction. Who did you pick in the game picks, Gary? Because you'll have to go to SI dot com. Contribute to our business. There's a tease. Nicely done. I honestly have no idea though. I probably picked the chiefs if I had to guess. Let's wrap this one up. We did not have a chance to talk about it. Again, we tape our show Sunday Night. It comes out Monday morning. The Steelers and the colts played on Monday night, but obviously Jeff Saturday for the first time in his three game coaching career got a lot of heat for his performance on Monday night. Mostly having to do with the colts final drive and the clock management, but I know what did you take away from all that? So I'm not going to, I'm not going to jump on Jeff Saturday because you know what? He's been okay, right? And relative to our expectations.

"The window or port side right in front of you. That's where if you feel any pressure, you don't have space for that. All your attention and all your energy has got to be on the focus on right number, right place, right geography, rightwards, right moment. And sometimes like in that case, there's no amount of preparation that can prepare you for the band running on the field. So and those are probably the best calls when it's all I think when you use the word raw, maybe that's when that's when it becomes memorable, for sure. Correct. All right, Mike, I appreciate it. We'll be watching Sunday nights and be see you've got colts cowboys. So we know everyone will be watching that and then you got chiefs, not cheese chargers, dolphins, which will be a good one. And then you have a patriots raiders. I wonder, will the NFL and NBC flex out the Patriots? That'll be an interesting one. Interesting conversation. You now know interesting conversations for the next four or 5 days to figure out what happens, but either either way it works out all right. You know, there are only 272 of these every year and somehow some way almost 250 of them mean something, right? It's crazy, but yeah, and on the last couple of weeks, you guys really take center stage because you get that last game on that last Sunday Night that we don't know what it is, but it's always the play in game basically, so that's always amazing. That reminds me of doing a blazers playoff game with hubie Brown in Portland. And the blazers won the series on a Damian Lillard shot three was the first time they wanted to play off series in 14 years. They won the series over Houston. And they hit the shot and then we placed those crazy. We get off the air and then we're coming back live on SportsCenter. We're going to do the first hit sports center. And QB and I look at each other, but where are we going Sunday? We had no idea where we're going on Sunday. As we're doing the cutting for sports, we're going to Toronto, like, oh, okay, we're going to Toronto, so that's the fun part of it. You sit around wait, where are we going? What are we doing? And you never know when you're going to fall into a great game. So we're looking forward to that. All right, I appreciate it. Thanks for the time. And thank you for the rest of the season. We'll see you soon. You got it, man. Take it. YouTube. Thank you. Stevenson

"All right, my second one here, I'm gonna throw out two sort of looking forward things. One, kind of, deshaun Watson coming back to Cleveland, the browns are going to be within reach of a wild card spot. What's he going to look like when he gets back? The fan reaction is going to be rightfully at this point, unless he really doesn't about face and shows some contrition here. He's going to get just destroyed in every road game. I don't even know how it's going to be at home at this point, because I think it's going to be incredibly uncomfortable for browns fans or at least a lot of browns fans. But there's a lot going on there and we kind of forget that he hasn't played meaningful football since what the first week of January 2021. And we'll see. We'll see what happens when he gets out there. The other one I want to throw out, man. There are, so as far as I'm concerned, there are 5 20 something indisputable franchise quarterback gonna compete for MVP awards year in and year out for the next decade. Being mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar, Joe burrow, Justin Herbert. I think by the end of the season, Trevor Lawrence is going to be the 6th one. Oh. I think what is kind of a shame. And look, I understand the hesitance, whichever Lawrence, and not just last year, but what's kind of a shame is they have been in correcting them wrong. They played one national game this year. That was the London game on Sunday morning. Against Denver, he was bad in that game. That was by a wide margin his worst game this season. I think the Philadelphia game was bad for other reasons. He lost, he lost four fumbles, that's not good. But that's also something that's like, okay, well, he's not going to lose four fumbles every game. So sometimes you just have a flukey bad day. The Denver game he was just missing throws. And it was weird and I don't know. He didn't look like that the rest of the season so far. That raiders game this weekend. And he had max Crosby in his lap pretty much the entire game while he was trying to play quarterback. He was phenomenal.

"You know, sort of in that distributor role, but man, Tyreke is, I don't see how you can make the argument that the quarterback is more valuable than tyreek hill to that team. Yeah. JJ watt is a good one. Aaron Donald, that level of value, man, like maybe a cam Jordan over the last few years. Yeah, but as a wide receiver, just totally insane. Just a phenomenal year. All right, my take is, I think, here's what I think. I think we're going to see a renaissance of old guy NFL coaches. What do you think about this? Okay. Hot take. Yes. I think that the ownership takeaway of this year is going to be sloppy play on the field, which isn't really sloppy play. So, but it's a defensive counter revolutionary year, right? So we have good defenses, so we have worse looking offenses. A lot of penalties, a lot of perceived clock mismanagement. A lot of that kind of stuff. And I think we're going to see the pendulum flip a little bit from let me get the hot young guy, have to find someone who knows Sean mcvay too, like I think there's going to be a big emphasis on our team just can't look stupid out there anymore. Like our team has to look prepared. Our team has to make the right calls on Sunday Night football. We have to go for it and we're supposed to go for it and not go for it and we're not supposed to go for it. That kind of thing. I think that's something that I think is really interesting where I don't think people realize how much and we've talked about this. If you want to go back and listen to some of our Broncos takes, I think that there's a reason for why Denver looks like this. However, other owners don't know that. They don't care. They see what's happening and they make a general assumption about it. And I think a lot of people have done that around the league. I think that's something worth watching. That I think that the general, some of these teams that are good or winning really ugly football games.

"It's going to be some guys putting out some bad tape in a bad situation and it's going to affect players could affect coaches. We think, again, look, maybe Jeff Saturday has some secret sauce that is just going to melt our brains and the colts will take off here, but more likely this is going to be, this is going to be a long couple of months here for the colt and there's going to be fallout for people far beyond the ones we usually talk about at the top of the show. Yeah. I don't know. In the long run, my only hope now is that he, Jim Murphy, 'cause his did you see his answer about the Rooney rule? Was absolutely asinine. No. So he was asked, they were like, Jim, does this comply with the Rooney rule and technically it does because in season term you don't have to go through the process of this. But his answer was, yeah, I was a broadcast journalism major too. The Rooney rule isn't going to be a big deal unless you make it a big deal, essentially. And he's like, I understand why you guys do it. You need hits. And I'm just like, hold on. You know, that's just a ridiculous way to couch this, but like, love Jeff Saturday. Let's say he, I don't know, he goes four and 5, or whatever it is. And you say, I want to keep him. Now you have to make a mockery of the Rooney rule out of this guy that you said that you loved. And again, this is a person who three weeks ago was talking about the health of the league, the livelihood of the league, leaving it in a better place than he found it. And this is just clown car stuff. It's just obnoxious rule skirting, cronyism, clown car stuff. And I mean, boy. I don't know what I hope for in this situation. I just hope that everybody stays healthy at this point. And that all these coaches can just move on and get other jobs and be like, boy, that was weird. And, you know, I don't know. "So I would, I guess I want to unpack it this way. And again, just ever so slightly dabble in politics. I think maybe what we learned earlier this week is perhaps wild conspiracy theories are going out of fashion in this country. However, I'd like to I'd like to bring them back just for a moment and just in a very fun football way. And try and figure out what is going on here. Because, you know, you said at the top, the one thing that kind of makes sense is, okay, we're tanking. Which is a terrible idea is for a number of reasons unethical and he should feel great shame for doing so. However, I also understand where he's coming from from the standpoint of being like, well, how do we get Peyton Manning? We had the first pick. I would get Andrew Locke. We had the first pick. I don't, you know, I don't think any of the guys in this upcoming draft class are of that caliber. We might find out differently in 15, 20 years, but I get that. There's like a logic to it. It's an incorrect logic. It's a bad idea, but there's at least logic. Nothing else beyond that makes any sense, though. And we can start with on the firing remarks Brady. Which, I mean, is Marcus spray out because we're removing a potential interim. Guy at this point, or is he out because you're just you're upset that the team isn't playing well and somehow Marcus Brady becomes the guy who takes the blame. So yeah, let's start there. So here's what I can say with a great deal of certainty. When Marcus Brady was fired, everybody in that building was livid. The coaching staff was livid, the front office was livid. That was not one of their that was not their call. I know that to be true. But so let's back it up. A couple days before the Brady firing, you benched Matt Ryan. Okay, so first you're saying, hey, we got a quarterback problem. And then four days later, you fire the offensive coordinator. And then you say, that's the reason for the quarterback problem. And then 5 days after that, you fired the head coach. And I think what the, I think that there are certainly people who are wondering, did he remove Marcus Brady from the situation early in order to bypass him as your sensible interim candidate? Because Marcus Brady was a head coach in candidate. There's no question in my mind. He was on our list, so was bubba ventrone. So you can say, well, he kept the other guy that was possibly a coach in Canada. I don't know. But he removed someone from the situation that I think you and I can both agree. It would have been a discussion point directly. If you would have not given him the opportunity, Marcus Brady is one of the few play callers or one of the few offensive coordinators of color in the NFL was a rising star in the business. If you bypass him specifically for Jeff Saturday, I think the optics are more troubling. I think that there are people out there who are like, okay, is this what happened? Is this why he just chose to go in the order that he chose? And just this renouncing conspiracy theories on this show, here's the last bit of mine, right?

I never really cared about the colts or the raiders or anything, but this weekend is going to be pretty interesting. I might watch the first quartile of the first quarter Thailand, maybe the last four trial of the fourth quarter trial. Look at that callbacks by Ben. Well done. Yeah, I'm going to watch. I don't know if I'm as interested in the game as much as I am just Jeff Saturday on the sidelines. I still like it that one of the callers yesterday goes, do you think maybe the scenario was when you fired Frank Reich and then you go call Saturday? And you were going to call somebody on Saturday, not Jeff Saturday. That's where jimmer says like, yeah, Jeff, I'm supposed to call you. Oh, you're interested in coaching? Sure. Hey, I just hired Jeff Saturday. No, we said call on Saturday. Not call Saturday. Yes, time. What's a better story for you for Monday? We always skew negative as most journalists do that they fire on all cylinders the cults and everything is great and they really look sharper than ever or it's a total train wreck and they get blown out and look more embarrassing than ever. What are you rooting for ton? I would lean towards it being a train wreck, unfortunately. And I hate to say it. Which would be worse. The colts this weekend of that question. But couldn't you make the argument that it would be nice if they just have this great game when they win 38 6 and the offense is just rolling all of a sudden. What's going on today with you? What's going on? Tell us something to drink before the show. I know, but is that really that bad a question? Well, no, you're kind of all over the place this morning. We're only 33 minutes in. Is it that questions are going to expressing them right? Or is it both? I feel like I'm confusing you. Well, with my line of questions. You just did what I hate when you say, did I do this? Or did I do that? There we go. Add that to the list. The answer, ask answer ask. Oh God, it just. Todd, we're 33 minutes in. I don't know. I got to hold on for dear life, it feels like. I should probably wait at least an hour. Yeah, it's like after you eat, before you go into the pool, why don't you wait a little while? Like, wait a minute, what is it? Wait an hour before you go in or a half hour before you go into the pool.

"Colts quarterback Matt Ryan passed for 389 yards in a 34 27 win over Jacksonville His biggest throw came with 17 seconds to play a touchdown pass to rookie Alec pierce I think a lot of times in those situations throwing the ball past the sticks being aggressive you know taking a shot is huge You can't play scared in those situations and I thought it was a great call Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence passed for just 140 yards but Jacksonville ran the ball for 243 The Jags are now two and four the colts three two and one Tom mccabe Indianapolis

Henry reigns as Titans hold off Colts for 24-17 victory

Indiana Man Runs Into Burning Home to Save 5 Children Trapped Inside
"Another story before I go further into how the media has covered what happened in Indiana, which is despicable. Indiana man hailed as hero after saving 5 people, including children from house fire. This is just a couple days ago. Isn't it amazing on the media doesn't cover this? The national media, they're too busy worrying about Ukraine or worrying about gun control or this other story we're going to hit. How biological male Thomas nominated for woman of the year? That's the NCAA. But this Indiana man, this is an amazing story. And this is what America is really made of, not those Yuval day cowards. Nick bostick of Lafayette was driving by on his way home when he saw flames coming out of a home around 1230 in the morning. I saw the fire on the balcony so I slammed on the brakes, pulled in the driveway, ran into the house from the back and I was hollering, quote, is anybody there. This random person bostick rushed into the burning home and saw four people. He helped them get to safety right away, but was then told one of the children was still missing. This random good Samaritan then rushes back into the a home only to be confronted with growing flames and thick black smoke. The smoke came out of nowhere. It was pitch black. The heat was excruciating. Bostic was able to locate the child after he heard faint crying. He grabbed the child and jumped out of the second story window to avoid the flames. I grabbed her and held her snug and ran up those stairs like a running back for the colts. I jumped out of the window, said boss stick. There's just a random guy. Dramatic body camera footage from a police officer shows the moment bostick emerged from the home with a 6 year old child. Bostick severed cuts burns and blisters on legs in his arm, he shared at a hospital after several days. He was treated a hospital Wednesday after several days of treatment, waking up every morning, I have something to remind me of why I'm here still alive. Why God keeps me here.
The Illogical Reasoning of the Pro-Death Colt
"What depths to what depths is the American left willing to stoop to what depths will the American left. Go to be able to protect, if not again, expand and enhance their rights to kill their child. It used to be the mantra that we believe in quote unquote choice, which is a weak way out because it's not choice that is the opposite of life, death is the opposite of life. I've covered this. But for newbies, look it up. Grab a thesaurus, you'll see synonyms and antonyms. Antonym for life is death, and the antonym for death is life. So if you are pro life, the antonym or opposite of that is being pro death. So the pro death cult known as the American left. Those full well what they are killing in those full well what they are doing, and the old adage used to be safe legal and rare. That would be their mantra. Safe, legal, and rare. We think abortions should be allowed. We think death should be allowed to be the choice for a mother for their child. Death should be an option, but we want it to be safe and we want it to be rare. Now it has become any time any place for any reason at any stage of gestation including, including the third trimester.

"The quote of the day was, I didn't know I had a brother in Hawaii so much for me. That was awesome. I want to say thank you so much for coming on. I should have asked this way earlier. And I messed up, I apologize, where can people find you? It's all good, man. I just appreciate you having me on here, man. It's always a joy to sit and talk football with you. I'm lord Owen. You can find me on Twitter and Instagram at colt's law, you can find I got a couple podcasts. One called colts law, one called believe in colts where my co host is de quell Jackson, the former Pro Bowl linebacker for the colts and for the run how did that happen, by the way? How the heck did you get a show with the quell Jackson? Have you seen me? I do great. Fair enough, but I do too, and I don't have a show with Tom Brady. What's going on? No, no. To be fair, believe podcast network got a hold of me and said, hey, we have an opening. We want somebody to do a host of the belief in colts podcast. And I was like, maybe? And they were like, we're going to try to get someone that you know, former colts player. And I was like, you do that. I'll join. That's awesome. And to quell Jackson agreed to it. So I was like, I'm there. I love to quilt. The quill is such a great, great person. Every week, sometimes twice a week. We record podcasts. And we sit for an hour and we sit and we just chat and have fun and talk football much like what we just did here today, you know? Absolutely wonderful. Also, to get back, you can find me on YouTube, ladies and gentlemen. My name, right? Here, Lawrence Owen. It's very simple. You can also look up colts law, very, very simple. Not coleslaw. Colts law. I'm just KFC coleslaw as it came to mind. I love good old KFC, man. There's nothing like it. All of their business. But man, I love you. I appreciate you. I think we'll have you. I don't know when we'll have you on next. We might have you on before now between now and February, but definitely in February we want to have you on and do kind of a season recap for the cold T year and talk about what happened and what went down and I just want to say, man, I got nothing but love for you. Thanks for coming on. You're wonderful, you're a great human being. I love your spirit. You got this passion that's so fun to interact with and I suppose I thank you so much for coming on. Well, thank you, again, thank you for having me. Thank you for coming on to my show, you know, a couple weeks ago. That was a great introduction between us and I thought we have a really good chemistry for people that's never really met each other to live opposite sides of the world, so very, very fun. I can't wait to get back with you and talk some more football. Yeah no, it's very rare to meet another person and not even we didn't even meet to talk on the phone basically and have the rapport we have. It's pretty fun and really special to me. It's really cool. Absolutely. I'm.

"They're the ones that won that game or had a big part of it, but you'll never know about it because they're not in the fantasy. You know they're not on your fantasy team because there's no list for a defensive tackle or something like that. So offensive lineman, you know? Again. Holy cow. I had a conversation with a sponsor during the preseason. They really wanted to sponsor the show. They were a fantasy football website. And I ended up not taking it, but they were actually they liked my pitch. And my pitch was I'm not gonna say I play fantasy football on your website. I'm not gonna do it. All I'm gonna say is, if you want to play fantasy football, you can go to blank and do it there. And they were actually okay with that. So I'm not going to say they're named but credit to them that they were willing to not. I wasn't gonna actually endorse their product. I was just gonna promote it. So that's the only workaround I've ever found is if people want to pay me money to talk about fantasy football. I refuse to say I play fantasy football because I don't and I hate it. But if you want to, power to you, like, people collect sports cards and I think it's a piece of cardboard. It doesn't really do anything to me. But if it gives you joy, great. I got no problem with other people enjoying what makes them happy. Dude, I have a video game collection that's ridiculous..

"Okay, so there's a reason why if, you know, you win a Super Bowl or if a quarterback a famous quarterback like Peyton Manning Tom Brady both known for this. You know, they go win a Super Bowl. They go get an MVP. What happens? They go and buy their entire offensive line something. Because they know they can they could not have done it without those 5 guys in front of them. Running backs who, you know, break 2000 Derek Henry, great running back. Without that run blocking in front of them, I promise you he's not got a thousand yards rushing already. You know what I mean? This is how it is. Johnson Taylor right now is getting 5.5 yards per carry so far this season. And if it wasn't for the run blocking in front of them, he'd be lucky to get four yards of carry. It's just how the NFL works. And people are so, you know, right off the bat, looking at those individual players and those prime spots at the running back or the quarterback or something of that nature, and not want to give the credit where a lot of that credit should be due because like you said, Joe Flacco wouldn't have won that Super Bowl without a good offensive line. Would not have won a Super Bowl without no veg strength. He knows too. He goes, too. Yeah, exactly, right? So, I mean, you've got to give credit to these guys occasionally. And I love the fact that a lot of people, a lot of content creators like you and I, we will do that occasionally. We're like, you know what? Had he not picked up that blitz in the time that he in that timely fashion that he did with had his head on a swivel and picked it up. This quarterback would not have had time to find that open receiver and hit him for that game winning touchdown. You know? It's very, very simple, quick thing. How much do you think? So I hate fantasy football. And if you have sponsors or even football say nothing. But I abhor fantasy football. It's the way that it's brewing. I think the way a lot of people look at the game, we focus on stats and numbers and the things that are sexy and not on the context that would actually win football games. And I just think in so many ways, I maybe I'm a purist I don't know how to put a better way.

"And I kind of have to agree with it because, you know, all their important guys are young and extended for long, long-term contracts, save Quentin Nelson which obviously will happen next year. I love that. I mean, it's a period of transition where you go from one prime. It had a down year or two. The old names we got replaced by new young names that are convenient to the next couple of years and hopefully a golden era for the colts. Man, there's one move the colts made that I thought was amazing that's panned out really, really well. And I think they actually it's good they didn't try to pursue Matthew Stafford. They got a better price on a great quarterback who's younger who let's be honest, I don't know how many more years Matthew Stafford has left. Carson Wentz has got a long future in Indianapolis. And he's been a massive home run. He has I think the best player on the colts, and I think a lot of people look at the record and their losses early and don't understand how well Carson Wentz has been playing. I'm blown away when I watch this guy play football. How do you feel about the way Carson Wentz has played? Do you feel the same way that I do that it's been a massive success? Well, I mean, currently, if I remember reading a stat write over the last four weeks, Carson Wentz has the highest passer rating in the NFL. Over the last four weeks, that that's a huge statement. Taking away that O and three start where we already discussed that, you know, why? Let's say it again. Injuries, you're building chemistry with a new football team. He didn't play much during training camp. His offensive line isn't healthy. I don't think it's fair to hold the first three losses for Indy on Carson Wentz's head. That's just a ridiculous standard to hold the quarterback too. Fully 100% agree. And now that you're starting to see all that kind of come the fruition with this team, Carson Wentz is playing phenomenal. There's going to be a lot of people out there that's going to say, well, in that San Francisco game, he had like four turnover worthy plays. And I'm like, did you see what was going on in that game? You get a pass when there's an atmospheric river, literally that's what it's called passing through San Francisco. Sorry, man, I'm not gonna hold the turnovers against him. Or the turnover worthy pills. I mean, no, Carson Wentz was out there trying to play football in a water polo field. I love it. Well, yeah, that play on second and goal where I felt so bad for him 'cause he's got I think it was just running back open in the flat in the end zone. He tries to flip it to him and the ball just like falls out of his hand 'cause it's literally like waterlogged and you're like, oh, I just, I saw what he was thinking. He got criticized for trying to do too much. I'm like, I don't think he's normally if it's not wet, that's a play he makes, and that's a touchdown. I was just like, I felt bad for him in that play. Do me a favor. Yeah, when we get done recording here, go over, I'm sure it's on game pass right now. Go check out the film on.

"And he said, I'm not going to tell anybody. I'm going to keep it really close to my chest. I don't want you to distraction for our football team. And I saw, first of all, lower leg injuries when you're a receiver who you use your legs all day all the time. That would be awful. Trying to run on those. It's terrible. And then he had a moment where you missed a couple of games and he did an interview with talking about he talked to Andrew Luck and he's like, I'm not going to lie. I consider retirement. And so I kind of wonder if some of your reluctance to maybe accept that he might retire 'cause you're a cold fan 'cause I look at it and go, I'm like, man, I think that the signs are all pointing towards to what Hilton is going to be done this year. And we'll say it'll be interesting. And I'm not hoping for that. He's clearly incredible. But I fear that he's keeping it under wraps to himself. I mean, that is possible, but on the opposite end of that, TY Hilton likes playing for the organization. He loves the Indianapolis Colts. He took less money to stay there, right? Exactly, right? Over the ravens, you know, who were considered to be, you know, and is currently considered to be a playoff juggernaut right now. But Calvin Johnson, he was not happy with his organization. You know? And that probably had a lot to do with his decision to retire as well. So being able to come into a locker room and be happy with the guys around you and being happy at where you're at your work, you know, I think that has a lot to do with whether or not you try for it one more year or not. So you may be right, he may be ready to retire after this year or, you know, all we could do was sit and wait and see. Yeah, I want to be clear. I'm not picking a side there because we just don't know. Who knows? I will say it was pretty cool. He didn't play on Sunday, but the week before, who did they play two weeks ago? The colts. Trying to think. It's coming up blank. That sounds right. I think it was my. No, no, no. Two weeks ago, Baltimore. Baltimore. Whoever they played two weeks ago. Niners, niners, Texans, Baltimore, Miami, going backwards and so the Texans game. It was Houston. I remember now. I watched Chris Ballard the GM given like really like a genuine hug during the pre game warmup. So he was like, I'm so glad you're here. They're clearly have a great relationship. TY Hilton. Oh, yeah. And a cold GM. Do you think that there's a sense of unfinished business with TY Hilton where it's like, I'm not leaving because I really think we have potential to make a big run that I just haven't quite.

"We've seen we've seen what he can do. I mean, it's USC and a lot of people like you know USC. USC doesn't necessarily coach their receivers to be NFL ready. You know what I mean? They've had that problem in the past. But Michael Pittman, as you talk about, he has this natural ability. He has like three hours of highlights of him just mawson people and catching it at USC and coming down with it turning around. And last year you didn't see that at all when Philip Rivers was at quarterback, which is weird because when he was with the Chargers, that's all you saw Philip dude was hey Williams, go get this, you know? Hey, Alan, go get this. And he didn't do that at all with Michael Pittman. I don't know if it was just because he was a rookie or if he wasn't trusting him or what. And you didn't see that a lot in the first three weeks, either. When the colt started off Owen three, you know? With with Carson Wentz. And now as the season progresses, and they've been practicing together, I think Carson Wentz is starting to realize, I've got something here with this kid. You know, he has really, really good hands, even like he's talking about I don't know if he would call all those. You know, in The Rain, in San Francisco, I mean, he was targeted taking out the PI penalties. He was targeted four times, caught all four balls for over a hundred yards and that touchdown. You know, so that's a huge benefit knowing that even under duress and under special circumstances that are going against the receiver he can still throw that ball out there, and it's not a 50. They like to call that a 50 50 ball, but when you're throwing at the Michael Pittman, it seems more like an 80, 20 ball. You know what I mean?.

"I watched the forty-niners and colts game from send in a football. Let's jump into that. There was an atmospheric river, which is like a crazy insane rain downpour. It couldn't believe that was actually what they called it too. I was like, wow, all right. Let's I don't know where you want to start here, but I'm curious, what's your general takeaway after watching that game watching the colts win 30 to 18 over the forty-niners on Sunday Night? Oh, man. Well, I knew it was gonna be a slot fest from like midway last week. They were talking about how much rain and stuff that they were getting. I mean, they started on like a Wednesday or a Thursday and it wasn't supposed to end until after the game. And I was like, well, there's going to be a lot of turnovers in this game, hopefully the colter on the right side of that one. Because, you know, both these teams were built very similar. You know, they both liked to run the ball. They rely heavily on their defense and offensive lines and run the football and not turning the ball over and I knew that being that it was going to be a lot of turnovers that I was really, really hoping that Indy would be, you know, on the positive side of that, like they've been all season. And then the game starts and I watch the forty-niners just walk right down on their first drive and score touchdown, and then on the first touch of the ball for the colts offense Jonathan Taylor fumbles it, gives it away. They kick a field goal. Colts automatically down 9 nothing. Right away, you know, like four minutes into the game, colter down 9, and I'm like, well, this isn't looking good. You know? And then I started watching the colt start to get a little bit of rhythm going, you know? And yes, there was turnovers throughout the game. I expected it. I'm glad that certain players who are good at making turnovers like Darius Leonard was out there actively looking to use the weather in his favor, and he did so. And what surprised me the most was how good some of these players for the colts was in this weather as opposed to the niners because this is something that the forty-niners should be used. They had these kind of weather games, you know, more often than what we do here in Indy. Especially with us having a roof, you know, when we want it. And they seemed incredibly afraid to throw the football downfield whereas Carson Wentz in the colts were more than happy to throw the ball in 40 mile an hour winds and drenching downpour, and I think that was the difference in.

"Oh four to win the afc south as we told you in the last segment. The colts plus one forty tennessee. Twenty eight to one to win the super bowl. That we get into some player props. This'll be more interesting than md. Because you know better better players better players and a better offense ryan tannehill. Four thousand fifty and a half passing yards. Derrick henry one thousand five hundred fifty and a half rushing yards. Gimme that under for a million dollars. Plus three hundred. The lead the league in rushing yards plus four fifty to lead the league in rushing touchdowns. Aj brown twelve hundred and a half receiving yards. Julio jones one thousand and a half receiving yards so those are some of the numbers here again for your two thousand twenty one tennessee. Titans what are you thinking. Who absolutely fascinating team. Much more interesting. I would say that in indianapolis because indianapolis. I only ever wanna play one way and tennessee. I'm not actually quite sure yet. What i would like to do with them. They have joked in our chat. Indianapolis may not be awful or they may not be a mess but they have all the familiar symptoms of teams. That are mets. Basically tennessee has some familiar symptoms of teams. That might be like really really good But they have question marks just like any team. Does i will start with some particulars. They can kind of guide this conversation There are two things about tennessee that strike me as the most interesting and and that's not even counting the offensive coordinator which i think i'm going to get. You're gonna touch it because he had some good stuff on that before One thing that's interesting about tennessee is a talk about like culture or coach quarterback tandem. Any of that stuff migrate has been the coach for three years. This season He's gone over his win total every single year. He's been the head coach. So there's some coaches you just kind of can get a read on based on how they perform. I the market. For example matt patricia..

"When seven two one two and comeback player of the year. Jonathan taylor over under rushing yards twelve hundred and a half ten to one to lead the league in rushing. Jonathan taylor is and michael pittman the study young receiver seven hundred fifty half receiving yards. Some of the notable player props this year for the colts. No one's props upright now. Normally we talk about quarterbacks. We can't do that here. Because of the uncertainty with winston. What he's gonna play that's why we don't have any carson wentz numbers for you so can your take year on the twenty twenty one indianapolis colts think normally when we have a team in this win. Total range so call at like nine to ten something like that. We find ourselves having the conversation with the steam cleveland. I guess is a little higher than that. But some of the nfc west teams. I think are in this ranger. I think the conversation that you generally have is a miami new england definitely in this ranch. That's what i was trying to think of. The conversation becomes our. Can they achieve like amazing outcomes like okay. There are expected to be pretty good. Can they be insanely good. Can they have the best record in the league and they win the super bowl. Can they produced an mvp candidate. Those are the types of conversations that we were having with some other teams in this winter range and yet with this team i find myself wanting to play. Extremely negative outcomes like crazy extreme negative outcomes for a few different reasons. So i'll start with one of the obvious things. I kinda wanted to see where the total would settle. It was nine and a half before once got hurt. It's nine now. I think it might actually go up now as we get close to the start of the season because once his practicing and like i think he's going to be the starter week one i really do and if that happens then i feel like we just end up right back where we started cyclic. All we were nine before nine and a half again And if that's true. I'm gonna have a wintel under on this team. I've mentioned the statistic before the trend. I guess i should say we can start here. But just how do i. How would i bet the indianapolis colts this season. If you want about the under i would wait like your your way your way past the like when scott hurt. Let's take advantage of that. That train was like two weeks ago. So you might as well just see where we go towards the start of the season maybe get. I was off right when that happens. And you texted me. And that was at at the car wash standing outside and the one hundred degree heat on like just fire. Enough beds like eddie anti called. I can place. I did right. Thanks so that text view..

"Let me just do this stocking cap this senate to might t. Because here's the deal. The deal is yes. Nick foles is in chicago buried at the third string you know what the hell carson wentz would be based off his last season buried at the third stream we think frank reich can resurrect carson wentz. We damn so gotta thank that he could resurrect nick foles for five weeks to hold the now until carson wentz hits back if carson is in this fillings and that takes him away from being able to be a successful quarterback that's carson wentz problem that coach problem so you greeny and dan and carson wentz go cry because we tried to win games. We worry about today. I'm feeling directly town sank. Never ask a defensive player about a quarterbacks feelings or injuries. But kimberly let me come to you. Let me try to appeal to you. Because you are sensitive person. I quarterback should more like basketball players like football players. Most football players. I agree are like marcus. And they'd just tell them where to show up and who to hit and they do that. But quarterbacks are a little different. You wouldn't do this with basketball star. You would take into account the psychology of the situation and in this unique case i believe they have to consider the same thing in indianapolis. Am i missing the point. I think you are right about the psychological issue with carson wentz right. But if you're the colts if you believe.
