"More and all Illinois marijuana cultivation centers that had been growing medical pot have now been approved to grow recreational marijuana that includes the center in berry Illinois camel excuse time is seven twenty three thanks Brian and joining us now in total information AM to talk about the upcoming launch of recreational marijuana sales in Illinois is a sends regional director Kathleen a live stroke and the marijuana dispensary in Collinsville Illinois Illinois supply and provisions are you expecting a line outside of their or what kind of atmosphere do you think is going to be in Collinsville outside of the shop on January first Hey there good morning yes we expect a lot and we expect that going to be a wait for putting the a lot of work into making sure that the experience out inside the dispensary as well as outside the dispensary is one where folks can learn about the product and then and also have a good time we look at this as is history making history and we want to be sure that even though we know there will be line that it'll be informative and people can enjoy themselves Kathleen what have you learned from other cities experiencing a day like this around the country well as we witness this happening as it rolls throughout the country what we've seen in many states are very very long line and we've also seen people that are willing to wait so it's one of those products that I think goes across all lines all genders and it there's a lot of excitement around at and we had a story in the news just earlier this morning about how when it comes to the the the supply there is talk about what you what you can do with if you have a for instance long lines it begins to run out can you go deep into the closet that contains the medical cannabis for instance absolutely not and what we've done at Illinois supplying provisions is to make sure we put some processes in place quite awhile back to make sure that we would have the product that we would need for medical patients that the medical patients have been the foundation of of our business in Illinois and we want to be sure that we protect that so we've got a process in place we have product in place should we run low where do you we would we would call from the adult rack inventory before we would pull from the medical and the Tory I'm curious how long do you estimate that the lines could last so I mean in terms of days weeks how how far until things start to you know back off a little bit well eighty eight as I say I know that I'm planning the exciting thing is an Illinois this wall changes on January first which is a holiday from aspects so for the entire week were planning on line and quite an impact now it may slow down by Monday which I think is the fifth or the sixth but I would expect weekends would still have lines things like that I I do want to share with you as well we we have a process in place that is so that that the medical patient is not going to wait in the same line as the adult consumer so we want to make sure that does it need are medicine have access to it and are able to get into the dispensary to pick up their order and Kathleen when it comes to you know you're right there at the border of Missouri and Illinois for for instance is smack dab in the middle of Colorado so it's a little more of a lift for someone from Kansas or Oklahoma to get there but is there a difference between an Illinois resident or somebody with a misery or Indiana driver's license how much they can purchase of the product yeah yes there it sat an Illinois residents can get up to thirty grams let's say of the cannabis flower they can get five grams of concentrate so a non resident someone from Indian arm very it would cut it in half so they would get fifteen grams of a cannabis flower in two and a half grams of a can't

'I came, I saw, I conquered': Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaves LA Galaxy

"Kings Latin. This was how he exited. I came I saw icon coach. Thank you L.. A. Galaxy for making me feel alive alive again to the galaxy. Fancy wanted Latin. I gave us lantern. You're welcome the story continues. Now go back to watching baseball. All these Latin Taylor sign off like that how we tell it to judges two years and mls well. I definitely thought it was improperly placed within that Bank of California stadium in that picture that blog hosted I found it interesting Adrian Stevie and Chaka that when you says Z.. Conquered major league soccer. I hit it is scored fifty goals in two years. Simply did your job. You won only one playoff game and everywheres lot win win. Talk Time and time again about being a winner in doing that. I just look at lunchtime on the field very few. If anyone thought he he would score twenty plus back bat seasons let alone fifty two and yet they really struggled doe while I look at it and say I think the galaxy are going to be better off in the sense that they're going to have player up front. That's going to be a little bit. More mobile is going to defend. The truth of the matter is a pressure still on the galaxy. Let's see to fill that void. How're you GONNA fill the void of fifty goals for me Adrian to answer? Your question is up there with David Beckham if not higher than David Beckham on bringing awareness to the league and what I mean by that is this person personality transcended sport. It got on mytalk shows that nobody major league soccer talkers. History had ever got there and I'll argue with anyone. He did more for the sport. David Beckham and a short term. And I know a lot of people internally. MLS has offices even the galaxy would almost re with that statement because he transcended not only sports but into pop culture. You you tell me how many MLS athlete. And I'm less players or coaches have done that in the past. It's zero if not one already. Lots of talk about who the galaxy you may turn to to fill Arava Lodge void. Well how Edison Cavani. He's been linked with a move to the galaxy when you look at his stats over the Gosh ten years. He's still only thirty. Two the Uruguay only six appearances in two goals this season of course but he has school school double digit goals. For as long as you can remember both in legal and and in Syria any reason to think he wouldn't do exactly what was attended Mall Mall. No listen either. It doesn't have the personality off the field. Lots on hard but Rano fifty two. He has the ability. Lati- GIMME number. How many goals would he school giving givens Latin goat? Whatever wherever you did? twenty-seven guys going fairly goals Collinsville set a record thirty four could he could he come in and challenge records steady. Two years of age is still a striker wall of football. That you talk about these strike Wolf football it could play in most teams. So He's getting felt he goes to seize and no danger. I'm I'm not absolutely suit in that. He gets as high as a TV does no question that Cavani is an incredible talent but I think more reliance servers than's Latin. I don't think he it kind of creates on your show Ebrahim do and as a result and looking at the galaxy and you wonder where that services is gonNA come from. I'm going to go twenty Tayla give me a number on Cavani while more important I think Cavani was scoring twenty goal but he asked from Miami. Yes for thirty million nets to come to Miami. So I'm not totally sure that's going to happen and I keep an eye on Luis Suarez. I think Suarez could be employed with the galaxy. I think they're gonNA make a run at them. They're gonNA throw out feelers but Suarez's keep in mind did did the deal for Nicholas Liberal to end up in Seattle. So I think Suarez does come to major league. Soccer is GonNa WanNa play with Nicholas Ladera. So how does that dynamic work. And I've got to bring up the name again. Teacher Reto This is the kind of move if you've got Carlos Villa at l.. AFC and you want to make a splash. A A bigger splash. I keep teacher Rita. They'd have to trade Chicago fire for the rights are not getting into that either here nor there but I keep an eye on those names I think the galaxy are going to try to make a splash with a little bit younger player than they did was locked on.

"Or advertising or. Data, you know, steering surveillance advertising, and at the same time that also of the fact that they're creating good content means that people are gonna have another reason to buy an eye west device. Maybe a higher end a newer device like a newer phone. This can actually deliver games. Woken sound amazing or the play, you know, incredible on an ipad. Pro the new head pros sound on them in just the screen is so incredible. That's a really powerful way to play games. And so creating content for this hardware, sells hardware, and creating content. Also creates a reason to to subscribe to this is a service, which creates the content developers. You know, putting the talented abilities, creative interesting beautiful games. Yeah. And I understood that they were subsidizing the creation of these games that they were supporting the developers to do this. Yeah. Just the fact that it's creating a market it's generating revenue, and they're putting that money back into it. It's I mean, even the. Start self as a way to help dollers make money. I don't know the terms of how they're going to be supporting did not many directly. But just the fact that creating a market that has real revenue in it is going to be amazing for gaming should should steam services likes team be concerned at all to Valby worry right now. I don't know. I mean, there's different kinds of gimme experiences. And like if you look at Collinsville games people. Always hated it. When I compared console games or or even things like the portable PlayStation portable with ISIS when I coming out there saying this is not even similar and yes, it does not directly similar to compare a game plays on the console with a mobile game in the same way. That's not really always fair to compare console game. Playstation XBox with a PC game where you have even higher hardware have a lot more complicated interaction with, you know, you're typing on a keyboard, you know, kinds of buttons or whatever controllers those are all different kinds of experiences, and they have come at different sort of. Of business models. Some of the games that you buy for PC or consoles are, you know, eighty bucks for a game that you're buying a really high-end AAA game. That's not probably ever exist on a mobile device. But apple is creating a way to monetize douse that's going to be amazing on mobile, and there's money for it. Because right now, the asterik if most aims a couple blocks there's a limited amount of things you can do even with huge audience. There's a limited amount of things you can do the again cost two bucks that you have to maintain for provincially forever. Having recurring revenue allows you to do a lot of creative interesting things and put a lot of work into their amazing, and it's customized for the mobile environment. So on mobile devices, you know, and I was really intrigued by the titles and types of people that they have working on these games. You know, they had. Cash. They had the one of the people behind final fantasy..

"To Collinsville high school. Did you go to Edwardsville? Also, he went to sl. You Edwardsville briefly he dropped out his father was in the armed services, and they moved around all the time. So he spent like a year or so here, but he was actually in one of the first new wave bands in Saint Louis. Bad habits back in nineteen seventy eight. That's interesting too. I had no idea, and you go through a lot of these things. I'm Marty if you can see your book over here. I've March your book with a bunch of little things that I thought were interesting. So let me the big books. So let me open it up without, you know, throwing my microphone off the other thing about the book is it's not just artists. Right. There are important moments that happened. I did a profile on Steve shankman last year in e you think about the influence that contemporary productions had and then of course, Casey. You can't go, you know, throughout the country is still talk to classic rock artists today during interviews on my show people. Credit Keishi for their success. I mean, look at Ted Nugent rush in the documentary points set out that they did. But the influence a case she had on rock music coming from this community in the city in the mid west is really it's hard to put a number on it, isn't it? Right. I mean, people if you weren't here at the time, you just cannot imagine how unified it was that it was that they had the power to make or break any rock band. And as I said in there that it almost seemed like every every kid at the age of thirteen was issued a case she shirt, and he kept wearing it until he was thirty. Yeah. Well, I mean, I moved here in seventy nine in. I was the station that I listen to in. Chicago was wwl UP the loop which was a pretty influential station as well. But I was very comfortable in the transition to Saint Louis. The only difference was it was interesting. There are a lot of artists. Offer one artists that that got a lot of planes, Chicago that people here never even heard of in. You'll be familiar with. Because you're a music guy when I went to Parkway west, I would wear a shirt that said you Afo people thought I was talking about aliens or something like that. Well, the great Michael Schenker was in a band called UFO, and it was a successful. I don't even wanna say heavy metal band from England, but rock band, and they had great influence around the world, not as much here in Saint Louis, people didn't know them. But Leonard Skinner d- wasn't getting a whole lot of play up in Chicago. But here it was all about southern rock band. Molly hatchet, and all those acts to the case she really had influence on. Yeah. I mean, and and they also were very influential in the negative to that. They kept a lot of my favorite bands from being being heard, for example. Well, for example, Elvis Costello who they only touched for two weeks, and that whole story in and of itself. Yes. So what you're saying is like in in that early eighties period where there was a bit of a trans. With newer types of music. It was just like they kept in their lane. They knew exactly what they wanted. And they made a lot of money doing it. So you can't blame them couple of the other things outside of artists. Here the influence of Mississippi nights. I saw many shows at Mississippi nights, you even get into Cicero's here too. Which was another connection that people had but those venues in a lot of acts that still come through today. I can't remember who it was. I think it was. Eric church. I think mentioned the pageant. But there was someone recently the came through at a show that I saw him. They mentioned miss doing those shows that Mississippi nights. They remember those right. Yeah. All right. Let's see what else is on here that I mentioned Michael Stipe, some of the other things. Oh, here's one and anyone who goes to live. If you go to the pageant off, Broadway or old rock house or anything else in. I didn't know his history went back so far nineteen Eighty-one Beatle. Bob, explain to people who don't know Beatle, Bob. Why Beatle Bob is such an icon here in Saint Louis seeing live music well because he's seen more of it than anybody else. And he's danced that the Beadle. Bob thing that he does he looks like he's got a haircut like a beetle. I don't even know if his name is Bob is this. Okay. So he just shows up in the front row at a lot of shows, and he dances. And the artists have gotten to know him over the years to they'll point him out shows, and they'll kind of laugh and I've never spoken with him. I've stand stood right next to him at many shows and. Watches performance because he sort of has a performance. Yeah. It's it's funny because he travels to and so sometimes you'll see videos of him in the front at other city. Yeah. Yeah. Like in in documentaries or something like that? All right, go you go through Billy peak. It's hard to go through all this stuff to off Broadway, venue, all riverport. Let's go to that. And I pulled a little guns and roses, of course, for.

"Best insurance money can buy and it was the most comprehensive. Well, that's true. But there's so little difference between points FM plans g. That there's really no reason to spend the extra money on f and I've been telling that. So this particular person is getting some good advice in switching to G because what's going to happen point? At this phase out the only people that are going to continue to stay on it or people who can't change to any other company. And again, we're going to get into this kind of steals. My thunder for what we're gonna talk about later in the show is Medicare supplements are medically underwritten meaning you can only buy one and get in regardless of your health conditions. Previous current or past health conditions preexisting conditions. When you first go on Medicare when you I turned sixty five so when this person's asking should they switch to g it's not a foregone conclusion that they can even do that to switch from f to g you have to be able to pass medical underwriting. In other words, you have to be able to pass a series of answer a series of medical questions. No. This is the way it was questions. Need to be answered. Did you have COPD have you having your heart conditions in the last two to five years? Have you had any cancer? No last two to five years. Are you an insulin dependent diabetic so on and so forth? If you can't answer all those questions. No, you can't move from after g. So, you know, again, we're going to get into this a little bit more as the show goes on. And we talk about the difference between advantage plans in supplements. And why when you I turned sixty five is that period of time. So important when you're making a decision again, it's because of the fact that Medicare supplements are medically under supplement companies other than when I turn sixty five can't take account your health previous or current. "During the holidays. How to do it? Right. You don't get bloating gassy. It's almost like she was talking directly to me. She says, I know how you do things. And there's a better way Tammy Colin in from Collinsville. Hey, Tammy what's going on. Hey, right guy. How are you? Good. That guy. I haven't heard that since I was about eight, but yeah, Tammy. So hey, two points. You'll pick first of all the guy marrying the hologram. Yeah. Weirdo. Strange creepy. Yeah. But you know, I I almost feel for it. Because it it feels like it's there's some sort of mental thing nets. And there has to be a gentle way to get this guy some help really. But you know, if if there's not enough female ratio two guys in Japan, then that could be you know, if there's not enough women for guys then it's like well a hologram now. Now, she's sixteen and eight thirty five and it's kinda a cartoon. But. So she's not really sixteen. But the premise is it's just all kinda just kinda belatedly strange. Yeah. And he's a school administrator. He's working with you. Now. Yeah. Stephen all of it's weird. George to the dilemma of it. It's just it's she nobody showed up at the wedding. Because they, but you're right. There's gotta be a gentle way to say. Look you need to see somebody. Yeah. You need to talk to someone about this. Because just because you may have been turned away from women in the past doesn't mean that your other option in the clear path for you is going to talk to a piece of electrical equipment, right? 'cause then, you know, then people wanna marry their pets. Don't wanna marry a chair the wanna marry their robot doll. Well. In the area of too weird. For me robot doll is more. Like, it you see more and people attached to those sorts of things. But no, I don't even have an Alexa in my home. Because it's like, I'm not even opening any cracks that kind of weird. Well, I guess it's helpful technology. But again, I'm kinda one of these people who kind of don't wanna get swept away with the tech revolution. I think there's some strange aspects to it. Anyway, the other thing is my job. I'd had different jobs, drew my life. But now, I'm a and this will probably be my my last career paths, but I my housekeeper at hospital. So I get off at eleven thirty. And I'm always listening to you riding home. And I thought I know what I'm gonna call up and say is the thing that bugs me with my job. Yeah. Okay. I wanna housekeeper part of my job is cleaning bathrooms. I don't know what the deal is. I do know at my trash cans get stuffed in full where they're spilling over. But what is it with people who when they dry their hands with the paper towels? They don't throw them in the receptacle. They just throw them on the floor. I am. They do it. It's like I guess in their minds. They're thinking housekeeper real get it. Yeah. Tammy we work with some pigs here at the because we share with these other stations. I don't know who does this. But sometimes I'll see they'll wipe their hands with the paper towels throw him in the sink. Ooh. Does that does that? It's just totally slob slob antics because you know, the receptacles right there, you can put it in where it belongs. But it's almost like it's a second thought of. Yeah. Just throw it on the floor. Yeah. But it's just so frustrating because it's like now, I gotta bend down and pick up your dirty hands Donald things when you could have thrown it right there goose. So all right. Tammy good to hear from you. Thanks for calling. Call me ri- ri- guy or something what would marble rye? That's pretty good one. Bree Colin in all the way from Texas. Bree. How are you? Well, I'm just fine. I'm celebrating my eightieth birthday tonight. That is tonight. Bree happy birthday to you. Thank you very much Haiti. Wow. Do you feel eighty? No. Don't. The best. Yes, I think it is. I, you know, I've told my pastor. I think I've finally trench. I the Lord is finally transformed into a butterfly, oh, we're talking about how we start out in life for like a Caterpillar living in a cocoon, and that way, and that we have to struggle against the wall to the catoon and the and the process of start against the walls of the cocoon. We've turned ourselves into a lot of lot interesting. That's a nice way of putting it I like that. Yeah. And I I think I finally become a butterfly placing all over the place. Sounds like the end of a movie where there's this monologue really poetic monologue or something. Right. My my sister sent me a picture of a birthday cake. And it's moving the it opens up, and then the candles all come out. I'll let and I sent her a text message back and told her instead of I can't believe that instead of getting a birthday cake that I can eat that you're sending me. Hi, tech birthday. He. That's where we are two thousand eighteen against striking. Right. You're talking about single payer insurance. I've had Medicare for fifteen years, but I'll use it up about every four or five years. Just for a check up. And I I would highly recommend that everyone takes their own health into their own hands. And and and it's you say the best thing, you can do is just a nor or stay away from doctors as much as you can. That. That's right. I I always see one ever five years just for a up. And and I don't I don't let them. Excellent me. I don't want. It actually is or you know, I don't want any radiation around me. But I I don't take any medication. I'm the Lord has blessed me, I'm in very good health. I don't have a thing with me. Frank wonderful. And and it's all attributable to my diet. And I've stayed away from pharmaceuticals as much as you can you're not on any medications anything like that. Oh, no, no. I I don't I I was once that I had high cholesterol. And I told the doctor a prescription for it because I know how to I don't know how to get that down. He said, do you do I said, yes, all I need to do is up my elect a lot. And he just kinda looked at me with a blank. Did it work? Oh, absolutely. How do you know? Because I know what my colest- when I go to the doctor for my from my checkups site, they run a bipedal on us. So did you wait five years to see if that worked? Well, you know, if you're if you're you're you know, if your cholesterol is high. Okay. Hi, I I stopped at the at the farmers at the pharmacy. They have a blood pressure machine there. Oh, I see. Okay. I take my blood pressure. Every once in a while, you know, if you could tell cholesterol that way at lots of Well, I I eat a twelve I know I'm not I got good cholesterol. 'cause I eat twelve eggs a day. That's amazing to me twelve eggs a day. I twelve eggs today and I- butter, and I don't need any. I don't use any vegetable or any artificial. I I think you've mentioned that before do you cook, the eggs, I mean, I know you cook them, but do you like fry them or do you scramble or do you hard boil them or what do you do? Well, I do different things. Sometimes I make me an omelette out of about four or five big. And I put you know, milk, and spinach and cheese them and try I fly them. I like them over easy. So is that the longevity? Feel good at eighty a dozen eggs a day. I'm sorry. What would you say? That's one of your keys to longevity at the age of eighty you feel good. It's because you dozen eggs a day. Yes. I really do. I believe I believe it's you know, butter is from a Cal, and that's natural. And and the egg is the most h live from that you can create live with that egg. So it's it's it is a very necessary food and your body to reach your juvenile, your stem cells interested in the cells of your body Brady, you got it up. I mean, you got the some things that seemed to work out pretty well for you. And I'm glad you're feeling good at eighty. That's awesome. Well, I've Nollie worked good for me. But they worked for my my grandparents, you know, my grandparents lived almost. How long? Bree call dropped. That's okay. She's down in Texas. Now, she had that stop listening to us a lot in she'll call in she'll used to call in a lot she'll call in maybe once every month now anymore. I wish I would have remembered brief story about her diet in the past because I would have brought it up with this dietician who's coming up next. Tamara Freeman is going to be joining us here on the shell tomorrow is a registered dietitian. What do you do to make sure you feel good during the holidays? So you're gonna be shoveling more food in your face on thanksgiving New Year's what do you do for me? You don't wanna feel bloated? What do you do? We're gonna.
