"Be a consideration to be sure to your point by the way oklahoma state five for sixteen at the rim according to artur vicks five for twenty in the mid range game we talked about the mid range game and how it's not a high percentage shot now. Oklahoma state got a lot of looks and especially the ones that the rim they should made and the thing about it was cade cunningham attempts at the rim. He was two for nine from to all of them from mid range according to barbeque so credit tinkle in oregon state for that for keeping him away from the rim. I don't know if they have the same success. Here with crowd wigan loyal team. Yeah i agree. I don't think it's going to be as easy to keep people away from the rim against soil because their game plan is really solid. I think they'll be able to get there all right. Let's jumped out of the next game here. This one in the five fifteen timeslot between villanova and baylor in this one at hinchelfield house. Where five fifteen. Maybe you don't have to worry too much about. The sun glare leaking through. That was definitely something on the first couple of rounds. That kind of wound up being an issue for some teams baylor here. Six and a half point favorite total in this game. One forty and a half. We've sung the praises of jay right. He got through the first two rounds now gets a chance to kind of regroup with his team missing the senior leader there in collin. Gillespie what do you think about this number here with. Baylor laying six and a half. Well i think There's a couple things stand out to me about this one. First villanova was bet against by wada. People in each of the first rounds and they just absolutely blew out north texas in their last game. So it makes you wonder you know some of the public. Don't wanna bet on villanova in this game the early indications are the sharp money has ears been on baylor. I'm assuming that not too much of the public would have bet this game yet. You know that they're not usually betting the game right away This one looks like the line is going up. It's choosing toward Going toward a seven here in this one. I think this will probably at least get to seven as far as the total on kicking myself. A little bit here. My number here was one forty one and a half as an open. One thirty eight and a half probably should've at least grabbed the over. If for nothing else than a chance to to middle this game because Figured that that total would go up but you know a baylor here to me if you look at the match up. The question is baylor's defense because baylor's thirty ninth and defensive efficiency for the year but they're one hundred and thirty seventh and last month so as baylor's defense going to play a lot better Was that the post covid pause Defense and now. They're back to playing better defense. They did look pretty good. Defensively against wisconsin. But i don't think anybody's gonna confuse wisconsin with a really great offense You know so Nova even without calling. Gillespie on obama's a good offense you know. I think the real key to this game. Adam is the post up offense of villanova versus baylor. Baylor's one weakness defensively throughout the course of the year was defending the low post Robinson earls gonna get a lot of touches here for for nova and obviously he can play in the post or be outside. You know yes the versatility but i think Jay wright is a good enough coach that he's going to try to take advantage of the fact that baylor is not great at post defense strength on strength when it comes to baylor's offensive rebounding novas defensive rebounding a really think who wins the the rebounding margin is going to be a big key in this game because i used to beating teams on the glass pretty consistently. Can they do that. Against phil are not. I don't have a strongly on the side in this game. I still kind of think the over might be the right play. Because i think both teams can be pretty efficient You know as far as the side. I don't really have anything. We'll say that you know we talked about this slower paced tournament. Underdogs and villanova certainly fits that and this game. You know this one gets up to seven and a half or something like that. I would lean Taking the points with villanova. One other thing i wanted to say adam is. This fits a system. Here that found bet labs teams covering less than fifty five percent of the time on the year versus a team covering more than fifty five percent of the time rumour on the year in the sweet sixteen. If you bet on the team that's covered less you're thirty seven and eighteen against the spread in the last fifty five. I know this is a small sample size. And i'm not necessarily saying this is a a wonderful angle or anything. But you know there's only so many games in the sweet sixteen so you're not gonna have any huge samples. Is i do think that baylor is rated Pretty highly by the market and it's possible villanova syllabus aided by the market and I think that one would be an interesting one to keep an eye on as we go forward but i think villanova is likely to become a bit of a bigger underdog in this one. The question is how high does this number. Go things when i look at this game. I kind of lean the baylor side just because look as much as i love jay wright as much as i was supportive of villanova in the first two rounds here winthrop was a team. That was really a one man show and they were able to neutralize that one man they came from very weak big south conference. Villanova takes care of business north. Texas texas is a much better defensive team than what they showed in. That game gave up one point. Four two four points per possession to villanova going over eighty four points in a game played fifty nine possessions..

"Edition of the program just a few days out from the beginning of the power five conference tournaments, a couple of the mid major conference tournaments Already underway. Get a couple championship games. Tomorrow We have our first official Clint she of March Madness in unique fashion. My Liberty Flames become the first team to clinch a berth in the tournament a lot to get into on this fun weekend. We'll head to progressive against line Pack Kennedy, former NC double A coach A CC coach of the year. In this time of Florida state with us here as he is each and every Saturday, coach Appreciate you jumping on as always, man has been a fun day. So far. College hoops. Whatever. Just I could talk forever. But I mean, just some incredibly great games. I mean, you know, we all love blah understand? I coach there, obviously, but Great to see Mike break it of type of Lindsay did on senior night at Notre Dame over Florida State, Oklahoma state playing without cutting him today and And I'm Bobby Huggins says 900 win in Morgantown, where Bobby grew up, then I'm so Bobby's gonna get 900 Asia. I go toe full of things that I need for Oklahoma State. What is incredible, incredible performance and in the second half of the Villanova Problems game If anybody ever questioned what kind of coach Jay Wright is just watch that second half and he just did an incredible job orchestrating his kids. Right down to the last shot, possibly beating them. And it tells you like when you lose a kid like Colin Gillespie. One of the guys on the shows this man who's supposed valuable player in the country and there's There's so many great players out there right now, he said. But I said not much I said Colin Gillespie, he said, Really well personal. He's a John Wooden award winning candidate. But you can't replace what he does. And it was evident today in the first half of that game, so just and, of course, now we've got not so good for Duke. But we got Carolina shellacking Duke, which which could be a demise of them, not making the tournament. Coach. I'm curious to your thoughts. It's funny that you mentioned colonic unless you because I wanted to ask you about this Villanova team as it relates to seating. We know Villanova is going to make it into the tournament. They've had a fantastic year, but because they lose Collin Gillespie, How do you think that impacts their seeding? They have a great resume prior to losing him, But now that they don't have him, do you think the committee takes that into consideration when they decide where Villanova is going to play on which side of the bracket? Well, I could tell you because I was involved with that during my years on the ABC. The answer's yes. No one loves J right more than I do. But they're gonna have the injuries do play a role, because when you get into okay, these are the teams they're in determined now. The process is that of seeding the tournament. When you have such a key player be like, you know, having your great Joe Montana quarterback. It also gets injured and can't play next football game. Um so yeah, it's going to play a role it will affect Your seating. I don't think they'll jump down more than two, but they could slide that at least one more slot in the seeding process. S so you mentioned you were you were on the committee. At one point of view it you were involved with the selection. Can you just briefly walk us through like what? Those conversations were like, I think we have a pretty decent idea of how it happens in college football and how they're locked in a room for hours on end. But in basketball with a much wider range, a much broader amount of teams to select from. What are those conversations. One of those key data points that you guys are really focusing on when it comes to deciding who plays where Just so there's a very, very good committee. Of athletic directors and people from the N C. A. A There are spotters all around the country that are given specific school to keep their eyes on all your law. And I'm sure that advisory committee to that group And what happens now, though, it's advanced so well. And if you think about it recent years every once in a while old Seth Greenberg, Virginia Tech would complain about their history, but others stepped complaining a little bit. He's probably having a job. He s P. M. By the way. Um, they have a booklet and the booklet is incredibly comprehensive. So it's got your record against top 20 pen. Your home records. You're away record. The point. Spread your injury report. I mean it is and it's very analytical, you might say. On. It's very, very comprehensive because they are cutting hairs. I mean, you know the list were out last four in the last four buys these air crucial crucial to athletic departments into coaching. Rears onto the young Met. So so those I want to say, maybe 14 15 people get in a room. Have a very large book that which is very comprehensive tow any angle that you could imagine you say, Well, this team did this against this team of vice versa said. They've got every game every score every differential you can imagine. On then they and then they start chipping away at it, but they're you know, they're in a hotel room for a good two weeks, You know, are there in the hotel where they had the big conference room for two weeks? I don't know what to do this year with All of it. But believe me, the committee does tremendous job figuring out Mr Graham. That can be my guest. Joining my opinion with 10 Day former answer Double A coach A CC Coach of the year in his time at Florida State and coach when he wanted We first got you on here. You mentioned Oklahoma State to win over West Virginia. They did so without kid Cunningham and and they beat a West Virginia team. That's maybe one of the toughest teams. In all of college basketball. That's the style that coach Huggins loves to instill in his guys. What did you learn about this Oklahoma State team today getting this win on the road without the guide, It's likely going to be the number one overall pick in the NBA draft. Well, they went extremely well coached. They were disciplined. It didn't feel like they took. If you watch any part of the game, it didn't seem like they took a bad shot all day. Now, Bobby Huggins teams are always one of the toughest teams to play. They played great man, The man which which of his own will 131, But Bobby's teams were so tough, they're just like him. And you know what? You got a chance to go home. People realize Bobby was born and raised in Morgantown. You know, he played it. Morgan talent and academic All America. Over him to get a chance to win number 900 homes. In Britain what was probably eliminate crowd. I'm sure a lot of being in the red you there. That would have been a tremendous amount to get over. Oklahoma State just showed incredible poise. The way they beat them. And it tells you one thing, too. About that conference 10 schools. Several of those teams are gonna go the tournament. They're gonna be probably the highest speeds higher than the big Ted. Any one of those teams could make it to the fucking or so this is really this is a you know, years back, and I hate to say years back. That makes me sad well over that I probably had But if you guys know the big 12 was a huge football conference back in the day was Oklahoma, Nebraska goes, They're just great and propose good at basketball. They become. They've overtaken the Southeastern Conference and they've overtaken the Asian shoes. I think in recent years, so the big 12 of the big 10 it really becoming to power competition in the country. Now in the big 12 Baylor. They're back from the covert. It sure seemed like they got their legs back under. Um, this week. What did you see from the Bears this weekend? Do you think they're They're back to the Bears of old in the prior to the covert stuff. They're that good again. Yeah, I do. Um, First of all, they're incredibly, uh, Long. Incredibly athletic. Coach Drew does an incredible job on the defense is bad. He's got a coach. Sudden son is on that staff. Who had been a head coach yourself..

"Wage. Baylor number one. I've had him number one from the day that she is intended and have not deviated haven't had too because Cheryl Butler me as soon he came back and nobody transferred and you know top three to me that clear-cut what however however you want to put them to me Baylor Villanova Gonzaga have to be your one two three. I don't know how you can make a case. I guess you could try to say Iowa caucus cars is back and he's the national player-of-the-year favorite and my national player of the year last season, but they they've still got a lot to prove in terms of defensively and you have any problems with me putting Baylor one or no none. I have Villanova number one, but I think you're exactly right. You can have any of Villanova Baylor and Gonzaga, whatever order you want at the top three as long as you have them in the office three. I think that you have a pretty strong argument for all of I went for Villanova because one I just I like betting on J. Right. I think that he's if he wants to title this year wage. I don't think that this gets talked about enough. He'll have won three of the last five national titles. I know it takes place over six years, but three out of five national titles like has anyone done that since John Wooden? I don't think you should have so J right at that level again is just something that I want to bet on I think Collin Gillespie. I know you hate him Goodman. He might be you and Fran fraschilla killing me about life, you know, just because it wasn't a top ten point guard last season, which I still think he was right on the verge. Well, here's the thing. He was a top ten point guard by the end of last month of November. You said like November and he was just kind of like still whatever Colin Gillespie and then it turns out like, oh, you know what he made that leap last year. He got better, but let's hope you were you were off the time but you're wrong when we were looking back at it makes sense. But you give me calling a less be right you give me Caleb Daniels to transfer from Tulane who I've heard is is really good. Bryan Antoine is back Justin Moore dead. Might be the most underrated freshman in all college basketball last season. He's back Jeremiah Robinson..
