"No surprise we knew he was gonna stay with the clippers right but he just signed a couple of days ago for four years. One hundred and seventy six million now. The interesting thing would kawai rob is. He left some money on the table. Not obviously still generational wealth but there are several ways he got the max but there several raise he could have done it where he could have gotten even more money you know so you know he he could assign like a one year deal or two year deal with the player option after next season and then signed for five years. Two hundred thirty five million He could opted into his contract and not become a free agent this summer and then signed like four years. One hundred and eighty million so it was weird. I mean again obviously. He's he don't have to worry about money again real. You know what. I'm gonna say. Not weird chris. Coming off another injury to keep betting on yourself. I think like. I would want to secure that money for sure at this point. Do you know what i mean. Just yeah if he had another injury say he he comes back and he's not right or whatever like he's going to get paid he's gonna miss. Most of the season could miss the whole year. And then you'd have to reestablish yourself next year you know what. I'm saying what it may do rob and i'll say this. I don't expect to see colli next year. You know that's just my opinion. I mean you're not a doctor right. But i think it makes it more likely that he does come back. That is the fact that he's already signed a long term deal because had he done the short deal. Let's say he did a one in one and or one year deal. He's not gonna wanna come back in april or may and risk being rusty and not looking good. You know what i mean. And you say say he came back and just didn't look like himself and now you want them to give you the long-term max.

"And i don't think he's gonna get healthier. Then he's been as a younger player. So there's gonna be low managed. Where i'm sure there's gonna be big time low management and. I just think that he's not gonna be a better player. he's gonna i think it'd be really good. I still think it'll be a top ten player and he may be exactly what he's is now like what he was when he got hurt. Which is one of the best players in the world. But i don't think you'll be better. And as he is now. He lost a three one lead to denver last year. And this year. When colli was there they were to to utah around pretty good utah team but not not world and then they went on of course and won the series without him. But i'm just saying like they. They haven't been a spectacular team with him yet with. Nco is how they got to got to the finals if he was healthy. I think they would've. But i i do. I think they would have been better than phoenix. And i think they would have shot against milwaukee but by the time he gets back lucas coming. I mean lucas giving him all he wants now but let them get out of the first round round look up. He's taken by himself. He's taking the clippers the six and he's taken the clippers. I get it. He had one but he's giving hawaii in paul. George fits and he's only going to get better jaanus. Who knows what type of swag this is going to give him in the buck. So they're not going anywhere brooklyn's about design it looks like it kyri and harden for the long haul. They already got the red signed up for the long haul. So they ain't going nowhere in the lakers and suns in. So i look like you said. There's no doubt there contenders and the window is open. Like you look at milwaukee with milwaukee when jonah son and back in milwaukee people swore up and down. He made a grave mistake. He'll never win a tidal. that was dom. Why would you do that. and you know. Things worked for in his favourite. Chris but he won. He no doubt and and so. That's why believe that there's always a will. There's a way. I don't think it's we could see your map out and say we're going to be who's going to win the next four championships. We don't know.

So maybe he would've said you know what i'm not even risking it whereas now he's got his money he said so he can come back and not worry about. If i don't look quite one hundred percent. I think it makes total sense financially. You know what. I mean like like coming into an off season where. There's some doubt. I mean you expect to come back but you don't know nobody let me throw this at you for you deal so over the next four years do you think. He leaves the clippers to a championship. I do and i know a lot of people are going to say no. They're not gonna win. Brooklyn's there and lebron and utah phoenix suns and all. We just saw jaanus when a championship. We just saw janas win a championship because kevin durant has a bigfoot because You know a couple of players and the west got nicked up got. It opened the door can they. Can they do it. We just saw them go to the western conference finals without them. They were down two older utah..

"He's not a great shooter. He's good any streaky. A not very good shooter from three thirty percent. His career westbrook. We know can't shoot thirty one percent thirty percent for his career or something like that. So when i like colin i know they talked about. Oh i'll go to power forward says lebron i'll go to center says they d- i think lebron should be the point guard. Lebron look at this. Like i'm magic johnson. Right i'm the third option. I'm getting. I'm gonna make sure a d. gets is russ gets his ruskin. Push it in transition. Ruskin push it when i'm on the bench but we're all on the floor. Lebron should be the primary decision maker. Yeah in the half court he's gonna get twenty points just by being on the floor. That's how good he is though he set up the other two guys that of course they better put shooting around those three. Yeah and there are rumors. They are going to add some shooting pieces. So this is fascinating. The clippers without colli in two years are nineteen and sixteen. They beat the utah jazz. The number one seat without kawhi. They've got an excellent coach. They've got a very good roster a smart front office but it's fascinating to me. They're being held hostage by leonard. So they're going to pay him thirty six million dollars this year to not play and i don't think he'll play this year..

So i have to read some lyrics to a song to find brings song isn't it. It is not It is not bruce springsteen. Let me see what. The song's lyrics are and what they mean. Go ahead cortez. Well i'm considering blocking billy to be honest. I didn't text him back this week. That he really disappointed me. I don't know how long he's had muted. He hasn't seen any years videos in months. He had no clue. He had no clue that. I have a parakeet sixty nine. No clue fixed okay as it relates to the at least two years. I have leonard i have us getting crispell cd three. Oh five lowered thirteenth in the league and winches. It's twenty thirteen two thousand fourteen even though mike wants to shit on. That's where. I'm at pat reilly's number. I don't know you don't know where these sources are coming from. You don't know. If the poop emojis something pat riley sending me or somebody else's sending me. I can have andy ellsberg number two what happened. The last time you around riley. Didn't you made them seem like he was high and he introduced us to a to a national news to a ufo and got fine. Twenty five thousand dollars because you you did. What with him. Didn't you ask him when he smell blank. The last time. I've never seen so many lights. I was sunglasses. And i couldn't see anything i didn't know where pat was. I didn't know. Dan wanted me to talk or not. I didn't know anything. I just wanted like paktika. Give me a hug. It was very scary. Go freedom you to in france billy. Why did you mute him in what you want to say to him as he thinks they're going to get everybody before we turn off his microphone. Because i didn't think it was possible to get somebody. That's more of a heat. Homer than mike ryan but i will tell you that mike is already questioning whether colli fits here after having gotten him and rhyme. Cortez is much worse than might not a little bit worse much worse. So why specifically did you mute him because he is who he is either e- exactly for everything he just did is why i muted him like two years ago and i've played it cool and i guess i didn't let him know that he was muted all this time and then they accidentally let the cat out of the bag when in back back tweets. Okay you should do this. He's like already did this. he's like well. How how have you seen it. And then he's sending me links to his own twitter. So i'm sorry cortez but i've muted you. Send sorry. Sending link zeroed twitter. Come on do sh. That is pretty key. Cortez billy texted murdered person. Did you see the clippers. Listener mentioned you by name and says the reason he hates the heat. Seems like a clip. You'd love to have hey. I tweeted that twelve hours ago. Response in black and white i edited. Check it out commute. Though i couldn't see it he's gone he's gone brainwashing. He is part of a cult. The culture the cult in culture is. He is off the deep end thirteenth and wind chairs. And there's a lot of great players like that. He's ahead of including the color. Yoga kyrie irving paul. George bradley beal larry's better than we've got stink. Yeah okay all right. I'm with you on this a little bit. No he's i know. He's better than i think i know the metric suggests he's still a top player. But cortez you kind of feel me on this one and it's not just a raptors thing and going through a playoff series with him. I'm like this fraud..

"This is like a Roy Hibbert situation. He's going to be out of the league in a couple of years. Like these big guys, they just can't hang anymore. No, like the answer is you need To fix the roster around him like you need some more versatile players some more two way players. I mean, the Jazz had a kind of better looking roster defensively a couple of years ago, um around go there, but they had so many offensive problems that they kind of change the roster around and went the other direction. And now you have this high powered offense would like You know, they and the Clippers were the two best three point shooting teams in history in the regular season. That was the choice that they made, but it came with a trade off and now I think they need to find a way to get a better balance going forward if they want to be able to get far than they did this time. Hey, James, Last one. We got about a minute. We don't know what the status going forward is going to be with Chris Paul or Kawai Leonard. We know they're both out today. Which of those two teams sons? Clippers is better. Position to whether the storm of not having their star player I think it's the Clippers just because I love their versatility. I love the way that they can any, as we were just talking about like they can play five about on offense. They can switch everything on defense. They can play big can play small they can still Play the same way they were playing with Colli, even though they will miss Kawai in the way that he can just take over a game. He's their best player on both ends of the court, but they can still kind of approximate the style of play. It just It looks a little bit different for Phoenix. They're still a deep team. I love the way campaign has played, and I'm sure he will, um, you know, handle this situation very well. But I think this does fundamentally changed the way their offense looks. It's not having Chris Paul out there, especially in touch staff. Yeah, no doubt yes, especially in crunch time one of the best crunch time players in the league. No doubt about that. So, yeah, 22 teams that look very different than what the peak version of these teams are going to be. Why Leonard out for the For the Clippers, They're going kind of a small lineup. They've got Paul George Reggie Jackson Batum, Terence Mann. And I mean, they're starting Marcus Morris at center, So it's a smaller lineup, but that worked for them against the Jazz. And the Suns would be a team that you might think of attack in the same way their team that has a big guy in DeAndre Ayton patrolling the middle. To this point, it's gotten them 37 35 lead. "However you may be listening iheartradio for video app house one a by the way. This is funny joy so you know in the nba. And you know this is that the kids enter the nba. Nineteen or twenty years old. So there's a lot of projecting going on and that's why i'm not gonna crush an nba general manager if they on a pet. You're projecting now it's kids in the nfl. I usually have three years of you. Starting on tape if i if it's on me but in the nba. You're nineteen just to give you an example of how hard it is. Lamello ball was a great example. I thought he was all sizzle. No steak rookie of the year. A lot of my guys didn't like him here is Trae young for the hawks. Great i am sure. Now listen this is what people thought about trae young and when he came out to guys that scout in the nba. That i trust. I asked him and they were. They were fifty fifty. They're like this could go sideways fast. Here's what they said about trae young. He lacked size strengthen length and explosiveness and it shows when he's trying to finish at the rim. No mid range game hit. Just four jumpers all season that hurt threes lead the country and turnovers tendency to be nonchalant with his execution shot selections wild. He'll take quick shots from deep early in the clock. instead of probing or patiently looking for opportunities. his frame is small. a concern. Defense lacks elite athleticism. Now he's a star. Well some maybe because there is less tape unless evaluation on these players. That scouts should start looking at. What are the raw talents that you could develop and does your character match someone who is willing to develop and can develop as a parent is. I mean i'm growing as an adult. The idea that my kids are. My daughter is older than some. Nba players. she's twenty. She's older than nba players. You've gotta be kidding me. So you're the idea. I mean trey young scouting report now. There were some good. He had great range quick. Very twitchy but this is. I mean you like i remember. Luca came out and i had a scout. And he's like well he's going to score a bunch but bad body can't defend a little temper but he'll score a bunch wouldn't know it'd be that you can't stop it. Nobody lebron is rookie. Complimenting emus like that's one of the best players in the league twenty well i think you have to keep in mind the body things like everyone said that about lonzo is like he's he's very young guys. Put tend to put on the weight women. We tend to our bias in a change from time. There were nineteen to twenty five. Like i didn't get this ripped overnight. Okay whatever all right well. The clippers pulled off an amazing road. Win over the utah jazz last night without colli. I don't know if we've ever seen that kind of performance. By this clipper franchise consider all the circumstances. Was that the greatest night in clippers history. I'm dead serious. Nothing about this at utah. Best home team in.

"Round everyone. One hundred rooms The morning of frederick's one hundredth birthday. He woke up with a smile. He'd lived a long happy life working his way up to become a successful merchant and raising three daughters whom he adored their names were harmony melody and colli appeal. Frederick always loved music but he was too busy buying selling and trading to learn how to play an instrument so we'd given his daughter's musical names in hopes that sunday one of them would become a musician harmony. His oldest didn't seem very interested nor did his middle child melody. A colli appease ears had always perked up the opening notes of any song and from a young age she was dabbling in all sorts of instruments from the violin. The piano to the drums to celebrate fredericks one hundredth birthday. His daughters threw him a big party at his grand mansion. All one hundred rooms of the mansion were brimming with smiling chattering guests after the guests had gobbled up their cake and gone home. Frederick called harmony melody and goliath to his side. More daughters today was marvelous. Thank you glorious party harmony. The eldest had grown up to become a businesswoman. You're welcome father. It was such a pleasure organizing the guest list and ordering all the supplies and everything looked so. Perfect fredericks middle daughter. Melody was a hotel manager. The staff setup. Everything just as. I requested the tables the chairs the flowers. Everything frederick smiled at his two daughters. You both didn't beautifully then. He turned his eyes to his youngest. You alive those musicians. Wherever did you find them. I've never heard such wonderful music in my very own house.

"And let everything else go right in the middle of a pandemic right right. Some of it went for me but from before it all went down. I said to a friend on the phone from colli. I think i need to just clear the deck and really look at this and that was just in the beginning stages and what i found is first of all i went from somebody who defiantly did not care about streaks to someone who became all about the streak for as long as i could sustain it and so i'd love to like why. Why do you think streaks are so important. Why do you advocate for them. So you quite fiercely indirectly. I can't advocate for streaks. Until i have your by in that you actually care enough to ship creative work that you care enough to find your voice if you don't none of my business right that's totally cool but if you do then let's just pretend for a minute. You told me you wanted to run a marathon and that you were gonna train whenever you felt like it if it was sunny and i was like no. You told me you want to run the marathon the way you run the marathon. Is you train for the marathon. And that means you become a runner and what it means to become a runners not as picks you but that you run you run every day for five days a week or whatever your practice is. That's what makes you a runner. Well if you want to be a creative. I don't know a professional creative. Who says i only create when i feel like it. What professional creators say is i create things and then i feel like it. It goes in that order. I don't wait to find flow before. I start doing the work. I do work and that helps me find flow. And so in my case i decided seven thousand five hundred blog posts ago to blog every day so tomorrow wednesday for me anyway My blog will come out between four and five o'clock in the morning and it will not come out because it's the best blog post aerob-. It's unlikely to be the best blog post ever wrote. It will come out. Because it's tomorrow and i don't have to revisit that decision. I made that decision once a long time ago. And so i don't waste any brain space about if it's all.

How Dancing Got This Homeless Woman Hired

"I love these inspiring stories of someone. Making progress. Says all this article. This went viral this story I'm about to share with you this. Particular article comes from People magazine. The inspiring story of a young woman who's happy dance went viral. After she accepted a job offer. Colli Jones recently went viral. With her dance after she as the reason job interview and in the parking lot was caught on security cameras on September twenty-ninth. Jones met manager dicara Spence interview for a server. Opening at the spot, which is a restaurant outside of Atlanta metropolitan area that point. Jones had been homeless for two years of struggling to find work during the corona virus. Spence. Who did the interview said she had a great energy about her I fell to when she walked in. She was very positive. The interview went well, and when Jones left the restaurant a short time later she celebrated by dancing in the parking lot. She did not know that Spence would see her or watch her celebration through the security camera. Jones said I was excited when I got outside I didn't know that the cameras were on me with the spontaneous celebration spins knew she had found a perfect fit for the team and Jones I called her phone. And said, I'm going to hire you and I've seen you do the happy dance you can continue dancing. She was just screaming through the phone. It was a beautiful moment for me. Now here's why I love this this young lady Collide Jones. Homeless unemployed. Homeless for nearly two years. She goes in does the interview she feels so good about the she knew she did great. She wasn't aware that she was going to get the job. She felt really good about it. And she allowed herself. In the midst of tremendous uncertainty, two years, folks of being homeless. She allows herself a moment of celebration to say I, feel like I nailed that one that went really really well, and you've got to imagine that that's one of the few things that had gone well for her and she allows this moment to overtake her having no idea. That she was being washed on the security cameras and. She really already had the job, but that's certainly. Locked it in so unbelievable. well-spent. The hiring manager posted the video to social media and it's been viewed by millions. And Jones's comet was I was going through so much. This is collide as the gala got the interview they got the job. She said I was going through so much at that point when I was given this chance and this opportunity I was so elated. So excited. So overwhelmed. To the point that no one understood how happy and accomplished I felt at that moment. So she had a she had a wonderful wonderful response and you know the reasons gone viral is because we as human beings need two things. Number One We always need positive stories. To hold onto in the midst of our own. Struggles in our own grind. And then we need to see other people winning. It's not just that we need a positive story in something good to hang onto in the midst of this corona pandemic. In all of the things that have been thrown completely helter skelter result of it is not that we just need some positive optimistic. Touches. We also in the best of times, still need to see other people winning. We get excited when we see other people win the reason we like watching these things in listening to these things is because it spurs US along. So Colli thank you for your happy dates it has helped and encouraged so many people.

"SORTA in touch with not really like we're still like facebook friends that IOS but yeah. Oh. Kent cost us to who I've never met can't person can't has arguably the mean game on facebook. I care for every single one of his memes just as a general rule I refused US any other than the hugging. One. Yeah But he's a good dude he supported actually all the charity swims I've ever done always donate. So it's Kinda cool that I wasn't a part of that group, but you guys all still let me stay attached to it. So how'd you find go rock what got you into that? It was in I I lived in New York for year I went to school in Manhattan, and while there I don't remember how I found out about it but I found out about this event called tough mudder. And I ended up on a whim just signing up for it and I didn't really have like any other friends that wanted to do it with me. So I just like really you weren't in the military. Reserves but. You know okay? And I. Just, signed up kind of on a whim took a bus out to New Jersey by myself found a cheap patel and I participated in the event, and after the event I was like how old are you at the time it must have been twenty. Two I think something like that. Okay. And So. Yeah I did event and afterwards I was pretty hooked on it like it was a lot of fun. So I started kind of researching more about the company in general and. From what I understand go up as a company kind of started off as a partnership with tough mudder and I found out about that connection and I was like Oh, go rock, what's that and I looked into that and Like more research about that, and at the time I was planning on moving back to Hawaii. So I I saw. So you're originally from why urgently from. Which island originally from Colli? But I moved to lot who am I have a big reveal for you later in the show.

"Colli Leonard knocking on your all you need to do is go out there and be a big body out there and just stay in front of somebody. It's something we struggled with all year putting small body. In case, EP just try to slow them down. Be More physical because we need that physical body, and if he's ready in time for that clipper series. That's all we need. That's that's it exactly? Scott Rice facebook, said Trevor. What do you think of this race for MVP between Lebron and Anthony Davis I'll tell you. What and I was just talking about this with with Alan a little bit ago, I it's a it's a little bit of a tragedy right and when we we talked about what the Lakers lost right way. When the plug got kicked out of the wall, and the season got dismantled, and all that everything ground to a halt. The Lakers lost homecourt advantage. That doesn't exist anymore. They lose that momentum that they had they. Were you know they just beaten the clippers? They just beat the box and they handle of that going for them, but Lebron was rolling and Yoenis. Gone hurt. And in the minds of. The National NBA media. Their their minds were set. It's Jaanus as well. This was now Lebron's chance. He was Rowley Jaanus is going to be shelled for a week. Maybe two that was going to be his chance to close the gap, but instead everything got shut down, so that's unfortunate. That's something. The Lakers lost two. They lost that opportunity for Lebron to close that gap there with with the honors. I still think that people who don't give the Rana shot at all. Run giving him. Any credit are crazy. He's had an incredible season and Janas. Janas has been good, but Lebron has been tremendous and so I don't like hearing people that just completely right off. I think there's a lot of Lakers. Haters out there that are writing off Lebron James as an MVP candidate, simply because of the name on the front of his jersey, and that's kind of stuff drives me crazy. We'll shoot. What's I mean what's not the hate they? They don't get to be part of a Great Lakers organization, and that's just what it is you don't you don't have a Magic Johnson running the team rob. Rob Pelinka made doing a great job pulling off trades with Anthony Davis getting superstars. I mean really the Lakers. Just changed because it got to a point where they were always known for having superstars, and then you shift into the two thousand eleven two thousand twelve era, where it's like okay, they're really struggling. And then they get right back on everyone dragging the Lakers to go get another superstar tilt finally land that star and they were swinging and missing now, though to that point where the jealousies here again, the winning is back the superstars. Superstars or back the Lakers finally back. Nobody wants to see them win in Lebron. James Wins if he wins MVP. That's another notch in the Lakers in another for the Lakers category. Really you have another MVP now. You might have another title tying the Boston. Celtics I mean nothing's coming up for these other teams other than that. All is being on the Los. Angeles Lakers me. It's very frustrating for a lot of these other fan bases, but the jealous jealousies good thing..

You know some rumors. Having that the Lakers front office believes that they have Anthony Davis in the bag for next year. Now if you guys all remember. Anthony Davis side of pre interest in deal. Like a sign of no faith. We will allude to year deal of. It's actually two year deal. They lose a sign of no faith. So they say that from what? They're hearing from the Davis. Lebron retires which is of course allegedly in the nineteen distant future. We just had the wrong talking about how hard it is. Simple his age to take this break during the MBA year. And all this stuff like that. I'm Mike Yeah just basically spelling on his retirement. It's coming down the pipeline in the not too distant future however they were trying to work out a deal similar something like Colli head before the shutdown of the N. b. a. Now that the NBA has been shut down. They're not quite sure what they're going to be doing towards like getting him down contractually in more of a half bathing deal so they're expecting him to write out that last year.

Avi and actually not to get ahead of ourselves but I really liked Colli iffy and I finally know how to pronounce your name because they said it. Now I know how Kelly Avi Calliope but it's a weird spelling I feel like It's very phonetic cow. Tinari city yesterday on the number five is over sick misma- peppers but it's okay in the words of frozen to some things never change like how we always record our podcast. I thought I Made Anna. Watch it the day before my surgery and so we can actually talk about a little. That'll be one of our bonus episodes. Maybe after the show is raft with you had one about frozen to just because I want to talk about it. Obviously I listened into the frozen audio book called Forest of shadows which is like a Prequel to the movie. And it's really weird right now. A group of giant wolves is chasing everyone through Aaron Dow. Oh my and it's funny because they're setting the scene for the movie so OLAF has been taught how to read by Elsa and he has these little reading glasses he puts on and he spends all day in the library. His favorite books are like really heavy philosophical books Actually KEEP THEM. Here is just reading. Existential wait so off. Has a brain like bows capable of like learn? How to read? And thinking creatively capable of speech and recognizing faces. And all that stuff. I assume he's got little frost brain hard to get down to this race to inspire is the sixty second episode of the series as a whole. And it's the fifteenth episode in the Third Season It's technically the first episode. After the mid season hiatus except we didn't have a midseason hiatus this time so everything feels weird but it was written by Jeremy Ship and story boarded by Adriaan. Burritos Isabel Geek and Geneva. Warren I feel like all those are new. People don't feel I remember hearing the name before we could definitely be rock. We could definitely wrong. But if there's if there's three new story borders welcome to leave and it was directed by Philip pig. Naughty definitely heard him before then. The plot is reponsible. Eugene and an old friend Kalliopi race to the spire in an attempt to stop Casandra from acquiring a deadly weapon. Boy this episode. I don't know I was kind of worried about climate because she wasn't one of my favorites originally but now after seems episode. I liked him more than I thought they would. I really love the the start of it with the whole cloak that thing that was pretty funny did play a big part. Yeah it really did. And I also loved the episode two. They had Rapunzel going back to her roots at the snugly duckling. Her old haunt I thought. Oh Yeah I love doing a jam sessions there. Yeah it was so funny. It kind of makes me realize short. Hasn't been around in a while. Has He is a blessing. It's a blessing in in in the second season. He was just in every episode. And now he's going on doing his own thing off Levin his little shorty life wraps tried to get to cast and then various did so. I think it's time for shortage to give her a talk. No LANCE BUT LANCE MOMENT. Are you kidding she would knock him away so fast shooting like get? Outta my face land. He would sing a song that would change your mind. Go ahead go ahead. So the theme of this episode I would say was Compassion Fair Assessment Fair Assessment and. I thought it was really interesting. How it examined you know. How wraps is always the kindest person in the room and kind of how that could be about the and a good thing that is compassionate ever had I mean? Actually it's not bad in itself. I can see how it can have negative consequences intended but I mean think about it this way. Would you rather sacrifice one slightly annoying person or would you rather give your arch rival army that will allow her to kill thousands of your citizens while maybe anyway you can do as apoe from happening? Well I mean in the best case scenario. Yeah I know just feel so anti like such a letdown to have this big battle for the key or not the key but the What was it called the stone or whatever. Yeah and then you get it and you're about to leave and then they're like. Oh well we got a hostage out. Well okay never mind here. It is actually I. I'm with you there she is. She is a breath of fresh air. She really gets on an Eugene nerves. I kind of love. How sassy she is to Eugene. He needs someone to put him in his place every now and then now the cast is gone. Yeah she should have said like oh Eugene. You're looking older or something. That would have crushed tive I liked variants role at the start of the episode two. Oh yeah everyone is being kind of like saucy to Eugene this episode I loved very fine pranks on each other. It kind of reminded me of like us working with that. Like don't touch that do that. And then I thought it was funny when you gene glued variance boots down. I thought that was a little like I'm wondering if something is going on huge aimed because I mean variance say not to touch something as I mean not that much of a prank. I mean he wasn't supposed to touch it. And then you just like I glued your shoes. The grab jokester though. It's like that escalated quickly. Feeling since I had just a general question about the overall time line how long is it supposed to have been since the big midseason battle because at the end of that we weren't really sure if they knew cast survived or not your guests and it's not really no? I mean obviously not that long. I wouldn't think because I think that the interior teary would wanNA get the power to host the army like the army like as soon as possible. Yeah it just makes me wonder. If when they were writing the episodes they anticipated. You know a break because they usually do a break at the mid season so I'm wondering if they intended to take place right after supposed to kind of assume that there has been a bit of a wall getting think about that but you kind of spilled are big news. There we finally get an identity revealed for the blue haired girl than the black and white girl and now. Zahn teary. Yeah it's it's interesting because Not really expected that I'M GONNA call the blue girl. Zona frontier is ANA. So basically does. Is She puts on the cloak to disguise yourself as Kallio no no. No no thank you. I'M GONNA I'M GONNA say one thing so I thought it was so it was the funniest part of the episode. When Colli appea- wasn't really Colli IFFY. At the start she was Zawahiri an Eugene says that Zahn teary is less annoying than go be alive. He's like I knew you were slightly less than knowing than usual. Ira Eugene gets along better with Zanjeer than he does go. I thought I was going to be cast. Who was who put on the cloak and not Zana so I. I was like surprised because I thought it was going to be nice. Because Casandra would have gotten a taste of what had been like when she was friends with them and hanging out exactly. That's what I thought was going to happen like when they went back. I thought those were evil.

"With Gilders Alexander Alexander. I liked him as a prospect. I did not love him. And that's because of the jumper aspect I was like well. How real is this? He shot over eighty percent from the free throw line which is encouraging he had. Good touch on floaters layups which he still does. And that was encouraging he did shoot forty percent from three at Kentucky is just the had this. It's kind of like ugly looking form especially off the dribble and you wondered how much as a guard he could be a shock creator but even today you watch lots Gilders Alexsandr and you think about like the the construct of a guy like him at six foot six lanky with with at the time a questionable shot it it was hard to come up for successful comparisons for him in the NBA for what he could grow into. But a lot of Rondo right like that was a Rondo or even like you could have said even like a Michael Carter Williams. You could have said somebody like that too. And you know. Granted Carter Williams has had some good moments as without the reliable jumper. That's what's limited him as an offensive player. You could have said Shaun Livingston a highly successful player and I thought Gildas Alexander would be a success but this much this soon averaging nearly twenty points per game with efficiency doing what he's done. It's it's incredible to see that rapid development from year to year as a freshman at Kentucky to a rookie with the clippers. "Last week on the show we focused on our out liar pixies or movies that were unique to our individual top ten list this week. It's what we're calling the consensus picks though as you'll hear in a moment a little bit of a misnomer because these things can never just line up perfectly. We do want to quickly recap the the movies we talked about last week on the show Tasha. You're the big winner with five movies as outliers. You were the only one who loved these movies that much which is to say. Some of US didn't appreciate these films but we didn't appreciate him quite as much as you did. Those titles were I did not realize I was winning but I will take this win They were wild rose the drama about the Scottish woman who wants to be a country and western singer. I lost my body. The French animated drama about a severed hand. Making its way through Paris Chris. The Documentary Hail Satan about the rise of the political group the Satanic Temple. Honey boy the style of movie where he plays his own father and tells his own. The story and the nightingale a harrowing rape revenge drama from Jennifer Kent Director of the Obama Duke tied for second place. Michael and Josh Michael Will Start with you. Four titles else that were outlined four titles ashes pure swathes Uson case great gangster film one child nation a terrific documentary About a filmmaker who goes back to her home village in China to explore the consequences of the government's one child policy that affected everybody in her family and her village waves the drama Rahmah from trae Edwards Scholtz his third feature and a great streak of threes on NFL. Nobody saw nobody knows present. Perfect from school of the the art institute graduate and it's a wonderful Colli picture of about a youtube stars in China and just come into the lives we learn about through all this phone footage Josh. You're foreign. I had Clerides highlife. Joanna Hogg's the Souvenir Takeaway. TD's Joe Joe. Rabbit and Pedro Element over Spain and glory so my top ten list. Apparently very boring and predictable. I only had three outliers. Safdie brothers Uncut Gems starring. Adam Sandler. Her was my number nine choice. Alex Perry's her smell starring Elizabeth Moss one of the best performances by an actress. This year I think was my number seven choice and I had James. Gray's Astra Astra starring Brad Pitt at number six.

Yeah so that that was that was a pivotal experience for her and for us And for her to relate late so thank you for bringing that up now that just it just makes me wonder whether it was orchestrated that they saw her in that position they knew she was gonNA debater. And so I you know what we can get a that. We can give her a like a bit of a slap on the bombs. I wake up by attention. Oh my oh my gosh. That's so interesting isn't it is and in fact if you go into K.. Being in similar experiences can you can call the beings to you. You know again is is this is what my partner essentially did. So he had a really good container. He was working with the Union Psychotherapist and she was a sitter again. Just like me with with Haley and she was basically basically his sitter as they use. They use that term and psychedelic the PSYCHEDELIC world. But she was there to hold the container and so he would go. He would allow himself to sink into these altered states. And then the being in long behold cosmic mother would be there you know like every two weeks every two a week she would show up in the corner of the room you know and and just Essentially Take Tommy into unity unity consciousness Where you connect Energetically with much more than yourself and it has truly profound and so you know he knew To is kind of like making an appointment you know We meditate you're opening yourself Bob to You know either dimensional realities. He was new deadly. Traumatized is By humans okay. If you know his history he was in some program some military program. Where they they did things do children deliberately to open up their psyches? as as we said in I said in an interview with him he said. Why do you think this something about why? And I said. Well it's the crash cosmic egg. They cracked the cosmic egg with him and shattered his ordinary reality in his his ego Nature enough that he's been able to hold these experiences in consciousness you know bring them back to the collective right about them coherently you know and yet you know having suffered as well. PTSD just like Haley. You know so you pay a price. But that's why you have to consecrate yourself. You have to know that you know that this is worth it. So you'll writing another book now. Is that right. Yeah Yeah and I'm not exactly sure of the title but it's going to just be stories stories that people people have written their stories mature people have written their stories of spiritual emergency for me Where you know the The spiritual awakening becomes so intense an overwhelming. Like you said you know like being being Really you you know hit with something a lightning poll so to speak or you know something really overtakes you and then you basically people become dysfunctional for for a period of time. They have trouble being in this or the ordinary world and they have to go through a period of adjustment so I wanted had to show people what this is to go through something so intensely and so I just had people write their own stories and then I you know I do some editing and and then I'm GonNa make some commentary and like I said half of the book is going to be other worldly beings but there's everything you can imagine you know there's there is physical illness. There's domestic violence. You know where where people physical accidents. You know. Awakening through Iowa. Ska You know in in South America I mean just you name Mitt and I wanted to show the multiplicity of pathways that can awaken us and you know and look at the very intense hint. Awakenings people become clairvoyant they become healers they become you know. Lay just totally eh Reform the psyche restructures itself on a higher level of functioning will. My experiences is led me to be a a polk caster to try and communicate this information. Yes that is so awesome to have somebody like yourself on the other other end it is gets it fundamentally gets it in the U.. Then propagate right just like the beings that basically indicated to Haley it will spread through the collective you know and and so it's critical to have the people to have these avenues. It is absolutely absolutely critical. And you know what I imagined. You know people that here you know they they can then share with each other. You know about what you're putting out in. That's that's just. The Internet now is a tremendous tool. So could you tell us some. Do you have a website apply somebody can contact you. Yeah And it's www dot sacred secret encounters dot com. And you can google. My name is well my last name the C O L L I Janet C O. L L you can google me and I haven't a couple of other it's probably www dot. Janet Coli is wow allow or Dr Janet. Coli you can find it. But one way or another Mug Oksana Amazon and such the second edition so the second edition is just out in. You know I wanted to ask the forward with Whitley do addendum. You know and and have have a Showing writing about where where I've been since then. Some of the were Tom and I my partner. Thomas I have done Thomas back since then and during that time period kind of really really integrated so yeah needed a second edition so yeah so yeah if you do if anybody does check the website it kind of shows you Oh and my partner's book the end of Homo the end of the the end of Homo sapiens and the birth of a new species. That's a beautiful. Yeah it's beautiful title end of Homo Sapiens in the birth of a new species. He's going into his his experiences. kind of like how. It is to sanction on this higher level where you can do energy medicine as well as psychotherapists in and and you know and working with people who have a different kinds of awakenings so yeah we do a lot. We cover a lot of ground. Say from drop to enlightenment just about run out of time. Now thank you very much for for coming on Suppo- Qasim giving you a time as being really fascinating. Oh you're welcome. You have asked just the right questions. And that makes all the difference in the world so it's it is it has been very easy and that was an interview with Janet Collie we were talking about her book sacred encounters. "Important. And where did I write about this No I totally totally believe this. All the Trans personal people in trance personal people like Stanislav. GROFF would absolutely agree. This is collect. This is a An Carl Jung. Of course this is. This is not just within the individual psyche nor is it just imposed upon us by like you say an individual being but there is a whole field effect okay mic partner had this thing with the number thirty seven thirty seven would appear all the time and then he act. He found out that there is a is an ancient a aw Tibetan Buddhist book the thirty seven practices of the Bobi Safa so he got that book and and it has become. How can I say the guide of his life and so we knew that this was coming to him. I'm from the collective. It's an energetic field phenomenon. So when I say you know we you know going beyond veil between the living and the dead. Well it's going beyond beyond the veil of an individual brain in to a field phenomenon where there's incredible wisdom and that wisdom will impact you and you know it it can come through In specific ways a spit and specific numbers that will be meaningful So what I like about that dream to is that they're the beings or the the aw they were headless. They were falling. You couldn't make out there. They're form so it's kind of like well. It is beyond on form at that point beyond an individual even an individual species. Perhaps is that you're not. That's not the point in yearly get beyond that that individual You know identification is only. I had a while. This is not a client but a friend end. She had an experience of she had some accident woke up in the ER and her guide who who happens to be one of these Other worldly beings are aliens. He was sitting by her bed but in place of his head. They're all she could see this light. It was light you know. So there's his more there's his tour form it was light you know so anyway so yeah definitely be the kind of synchronicity. This CDs or the way. The the universe winks gives us a wink. You know like you're paying attention you're on the path you know. And and Physical physical reality all about us is trying to enlighten us you know. We're participating in heightened energetic at that point did you ever so so. How did that those numbers did they did? They did. How did that evolve like did you find out you know anything specifically twenty two twenty two in one one nothing specific just for a few days off that everything? The numbers doubled up. It was is a if I would buy something the supermarket. It would cost sixty five sixty five polls the TV it would pose fourteen fourteen and as the clock numbers I it was just constant. Yeah we'll got your attention. It made you notice you know and you know. It's almost like exclamation Asian point exclamation point right. You know it definitely got your attention and it's also I find when people start to experience. More synchronicity. Lebron Icily it mean. It means they're on the path it means you're waking up and on the path I had a teacher also in the field of Holy Jokic breath work Tabs sparks any told there was a period when he was younger And he had some awakening and he went through months months-long where synchronicity happened constantly. As well as other worldly beings but but asynchronicity Happened and it was it was he was just in the flow. You know. He was he was transforming. That's that's is is You know only we're working with now. We have a research engineer. And that's his biggest connection. Besides dreams is synchronicity. So that's the way he works with The with guidance synchronicity will guide him. Is it time to do this. Is it time to do this. Part of the research or not and he will look for synchronous cities. Thank you thank you for Supernet. Feel a lot of people want to have these experiences. You really loved to encounter a some kind of alien or other things but it does seem like it can be really quite quite terrifying and it's not really something you'd WanNa bring upon yourself. Well it depends. I mean it depends on how it was consecrated you are. I would say consecrate Secre Yourself. It's not none of this to be to be done lightly. I mean. Now there's a whole movement in psychology about using a medicines of psychedelic delic medicines That are bitter coming online now coming into to be legal now in some of them within a few years in one of them. I'm working with now with clients so it's not it's not something you go into lightly it's like you you consecrate yourself you to the highest your highest good and and and that includes you know saying while it even if it is scary even if I do in counterparts of myself or you know parts of the universe that I'm not down with yet you know I'm not good with yet that that you will stick to the path and you will see it through and and if you do if you do consecrate like yourself like that and people have asked for help and then they find me online or something. They you know they ask for help. Fanin then they'll be guided to me sometimes or to to Haley who's now therapists And so You'll you'll receive how you you know without a doubt mind when you ask ask the you shall receive. I mean that's what that's all about. These are fundamental principles seven of our consciousness. I suppose some people go from on this path and have some kind of enlightenment and there are people people who got lots of little things that lead them over the years to that point but then there are other people who have near death experience they get a slight power and it all in one go right right. Isn't that amazing. At you know I mean I mean really I mean some people are born more. You're in tune and then other people have to have a lightning bolt hit them but a betty injuries than said. We're all we're all. We're all learning you know we're all just learning it's hard. It's hard for me to remember that you know sometimes but but you know I mean it just it. Just it just comes in very very many different ways But we're all you know we can make progress. We can you know just aw it was difficult is window. I know I had an incredible mystical experience when I did my training with Ketamine and as I'm telling so you know in a room full of like thirty professionals mental health Doctors and just you know a social workers e- everybody you can imagine as I told my experience one woman across the room at bats. Bats experience I wanted you know and so you just have to say you know you just have to be happy someone else's getting it but but if you stick with your own your own is exactly what you want really. That's that's the wha- what's going to teach you the most is really is it is Is another one of my teachers. I had profound teachers in psychology. Arnold Mandel he would say the universe is trying to enlighten you all the time. Nine universe your own experience is trying to enlighten you so you have to pay attention you know the lady said to you well. Well lusty experience. I wanted and it made me think that perhaps you get the experience you're given because something somewhere decides. This is the one that you need eight on. It's not just random Ri- right right right. I mean that's it if you believe in in The transmigration of souls that we are. We're in essence of spiritual beings having a human experience right and and not the other way round. You know we're not just trying to have become spiritual we are. You know we're just in body this time around but but That we add there is a flow. There is a path to our to our life in our lives and so You know yeah coming in and getting realizing that we're being taught the lessons that we really probably need is And then you just again consecrate yourself. I'm going to get the most out of it. Whatever whatever lies on my path? It's hard it's hard to. It's difficult for us to you. Know give up to give a total control and to trust to trust you know. And that's new. Dad is a huge one. I think for just about added everybody. I was reminded of highly experience in the boat. You talk about how she went to the dentist office and she had gas as a pain killer. Yeah nitrous nitrous oxide. And and she went into an altered state and so there's the PTSD part is like you may have a flashback doc and and she had a flashback very early experience but this was part of also her awakening you know. And if we have something stored in the nervous system it will repeat itself until it no longer needs to as Stanislav Founder Trans personal psychology would say but It had a a flashback to an early experience of the beings three of the beings. Just you know the the dentist had a mask on and and she's in a reclining in a in a chair and she's pretty much helpless and she had a flashback to encounter with these beings where they're still they too you're standing over her she's in a reclined position pretty much helpless. And and then she doggies big-eyed beings in in her mind's eye and in the flashback and so that was another huge indicator offer her that you know it was not making this stuff up. It was inner nervous system so that that was that was big in all. She was a Japanese program and this is again twenty years ago. They came over from Japan to film this and you know they interviewed one of John. Max Ask clients and such and and then they came to the West Coast and they interviewed Haley and then they reenacted the scene and That those reenactments acme are the picture. Some of those are the pictures the photos I include in the book and they they You know we got it off the Dan they were videotapes but You know her sitting in the chair and it goes from the dentists then all of a sudden it looks like these beings and then back to the dentist again So any any altered state okay. So that's the thing about state dependent memory you kind of have to be in in a similar enough state of consciousness As you were in when the memory became encoded for that to these stimulated again. And that's what what happened. Is She was in an altered state and she went right back to that experienced. Oh so that's one of the reasons I would say for people you know when you're working working you WANNA work with altered states you WanNa do you know maybe EMT Our eye movement desensitization reprocessing. You WanNa do a the whole itchy breath work you want to do Maybe try it. No therapy if you really trust the person In you you know. And you don't feel that you're being led That's easy enough that most people know you wanna have somebody with really good training. That's all.

"I'm talking to Janet Elizabeth Colley PhD about her book sacred encounters spiritual awakenings during close encounters. Janet is a psychotherapist specializing in spiritual awakening with expertise in both clinical and Trans personal psychology. She bridges the psychology. Not with the extraordinary on the mystical professionally. She has been in private practice for twenty years. Janet thanks a lot for coming on to the PODCAST is kind of it gives you time you are actually welcome. And it's an honor to be here and I am just glad to be of service in any way I can sue. Oh your book sacred encounters spiritual awakenings during close encounters. I found it to be absolutely fascinating. You give us a little bit of background on the book. Oh my gosh. Well the the book itself was written quite some time ago or the experiences agreeance is in it or were they took place about twenty years ago actually and that was How can I say my coming coming into being as a therapist out first of all working with close encounter experiencers and then out having Experience with a spiritual teacher as well in the second part of the A book Who had had a profound experiences so we went all the way from trauma to enlightenment? That's the best way to put it. We went from from the trauma that might occur with close encounters in with one experience and we named her Haley all the way to the unity consciousness which is what joy the second Major Experi answer in the book That was how hers. Her encounters unfolded into unity consciousness. At the touch of the beings of you always had an interest in spiritual side of things and twenty snus. Well I I think I think I much identify with an old soul and I came in with that the first kinds of things I remember. Well I remember reading the razor's edge in high school Somerset Maugham's Beautiful Wonderful Book about in in part a man who goes to the east very very early in our culture and experiences a kind of enlightenment so I was in touch. I was buying the pianist. Chad's in high school. And and things like that. But my my real my my process took fire is we might say when I had cancer when I when I experienced cancer. which for me turned into a spiritually virtually transformative experience and that really woke me up into who I was and you know what I was more or less I do? And then the the I work with close encounter. experiencers grew out of that. Bats are in high school my partner and I were reading the Andreasen affair and we just knew immediately that this was what we wanted to no more about into study. But it wasn't until I had cancer in my life absolutely took. I had a healing myself. Also that I realized that I could actually do this. So I'm I'm very fortunate in that my my life came together early enough. I mean I was in my thirties. Though at that point that I I knew I could do this professionally. And that's what's been really. Utterly amazing is to to work. As as a therapist with people with spiritually transformative experiences and that includes a lot of different things but in particular the close close encounter off phenomena so the book is titled Sacred Encounters. So what is a sacred encounters. sinuses surgery transformative experience. Well a spiritually transformative experience like I just gave an example cancer absolutely woke me up but when I say sacred encounters I kind of mean something in the relationship channel you another in another being it can be the you know the so called Aliens otherworldly beings it can be another human. That's that's what I mean by sacred encounter but it's nothing formal mall at I just Settled on ad is the title of the Book and then later of course. The whole term spiritually transformative experience came it came into our collective and that can encompass anything from physical mental. You know Tom What we call disorders such as bipolar experienced All of these things as well as near death experience any any kind of higher order experience at basically wakes you up so you've had all sorts of experiences yourself in in your life and one of those fascinated by was the experience you had in your bedroom when you're young. Could you go through that experience and tell us what happens. Oh well.

Does the NBA need to do something about Kawhi Leonard's 'load management'?

"Cannot love something but no. It's good for the business. I don't love load management but Kawhi Leonard when he's is holding the trophy. Nobody's GONNA say November sex. You missed the game against Janos. Here's the thing and I was talking to a scout in the league about this today. When you do this type below management you better hold the trophy and June? You better because if that's why. Nobody was complaining last year in Toronto. 'cause they won if if you don't win the championship then you're going to get criticized for low manager. I think it's ridiculous. You don't like it. No not at all. We talk about the fans and all that but it's also deceptive. There are people. I don't know if this is true. Some will tell you that told the clippers. He's only gonNA play sixty five games. I I I was told I was told by somebody in the building. Part of the discussion was sixty. Five right right and look. I have said Kawai Leonard under deserves to be considered the best player in the world. Right now I think is the way he what he did last year. The play offs even his start this year he deserves. It had a now. Janas honest could take it this year. Lebron could try to get it back this year. Anthony Davis whoever but right now Kawai deserves that title. But I'm telling you I can't I can't give you that if you just sit now randomly because you don't feel like how you're healthy. It's it's three weeks into the season. Eight Games why in the world are you saying now almost think it's a mental block because in his nine years in this being nine so say eight first full years he only only plays seventy or more games twice. I almost feel like he. He's like if I played too many games. I'M NOT GONNA be healthy like I. I wonder if there's a mental by why in the world are you sitting when you're healthy. Well I think it worked for him. I think I'll say this. I Like Adam silver a lot David. David Stern was the owners. Commissioner Adam Silver is the players commissioner and if I start giving my kids ice cream for breakfast they e-expect ice cream for breakfast and was that ice cream due to them is gonNA ruin health and I'll say this. I think this is bad. Optics for the League for Middle America Erica. You Go to pay four hundred bucks. And you don't get Colli Leonard in Janas and I I would tell Adam silver to his face. He is incredibly pro player. Sure and so. What are the players do they go off? Players are doing in a game here there you know and certainly the last week or two. I don't mind when you're getting ready for the playoff games. That's fine but this is just beyond the Pale. In my opinion it really is an atom. Look Lee doesn't like this you think. ESPN's Inter it hurt the players pocketbooks. And maybe that's what will change and that's why the the players Association's get involved because the next TV deal you don't think. ESPN is going to bring this up if there is no question TNT in ESPN. Dan are fury right so that will lower their offers so that will affect the salary cap and what the players are making so the players association should get involved to be like like look. You gotta play when you're healthy. Play the Games. I and here's another thing and again I I like. I said he's a tremendous player. You can't dislike him as a person because he's quiet. He's low maintenance all that but I can't let's not let's stop the Michael Jordan stuff. I see your game I love the mid range. The two dribbles no wasted dribbles to dribble. Pull up you do it on both ends but if you just sit now games because you don't I want to play I don't want to compare to. Michael Jordan does play every

NBA: Does Steph Curry Need The Finals MVP For His Legacy?

"NBA finals begin finally tomorrow night wide Leonard comes in under the most celebration on the other side of Steph curry who in the last five playoff games has been absolutely sensational. Scoring even more than Kawai. Steph has three NBA titles to MVP's already but not a finals, MVP Colli does by the. Curry said, quote, it's a special award that everybody wants to get, including myself. But at the end of the day, the first thing I do is look up and see, did you win or lose on quote, we'll curry need this particular ward to validate his great career. No. And the fact that I never even thought about this today as much as I think about uncover, the NBA illustrates why. I mean, I've never thought about this now. It's interesting historical thing, Tony for particularly for older people like us who know the history of the league, and I think back on it, and of the people who've one of those who've won top twenty five place fifteen eighteen twenty players Julius Erving to me seems to be the most famous most accomplished has conic player who is not one because the other conic players, you know, they didn't win or they were the number two guy like Kevin McHale or, or someone like that Scottie Pippen great, great tonic players. I'm not gonna say they certainly are where they are. And I think Julius Irving is the guys is the only one. Right. I guess as Carmello Cremona, John Stockton, but they didn't they didn't. They didn't want to Patrick like you. Reggie, those are not commonplace like you. Seth curry has a chance to be an iconic. He's got a chance to win four championships in five years, he's the greatest shooter of all time. All right. I think of this as a small, it just doesn't even register on me, but, but magic Scott it and birds got it and Jordan's got it and his contemporaries Durant LeBron have this. So if you want to use this as disqualifier because you don't like curry, I guess you can not. I I he's an all time players ever wins this because of everything. He's one I think, might I think this is too small. You gotta get to the finals Griddle with you willing some place winning is the thing again. Tony, I just call it historical greatest note, but does it mean devalue Steph crises, not cement us, now

With Kawhi Leonard, the Raptors Find Success That Endures

"Coli Leonard is in the conversation of being the best player in the. World. There's no argument about that. Kawhi Leonard is certainly in the conversation. He's I think at this point certainly in the top three he was asked about that after the game. I just said you're the best player to league and he plays into Ronco. What does it feel like to hear that said about you? How do you feel you've established yourself and position to his playoff run? I don't really judge my you know game like the I'm more of a team team aspects with my team is going just wanna win on care about being best player. I want to be the best team always said that. And you know, just before the season when we made the trade massage felt that way about me, he told me how he felt and why he made the trade and, you know, just turning out. It's well now I mean we're in a finals in, we're not done yet. I mean, the trade cannot have turned out any better for really anybody associated with the raptors. I mean, they traded Damara Rosen Jacob poll. I believe that's how you pronounce his last name, if I'm wrong. I apologize in a protected twenty nineteen first round pick up protected twenty nine thousand first round pick protected. They got back awhile internet Danny green. That's a big time trade for the raptors. That was an all in move for the raptors. I think the rafters clearly saw LeBron's gone. You know lebrons part, owner of the rafters. He's out. We got a chance to go to the NBA finals, Boston kind of felt that way Philadelphia kind of felt that way. Mo- walkie. Certainly felt that way there are four teams felt like they had a chance to go to the NBA finals out of the east for the first time in eight seasons. The rafters did it. You made a tough trae at least an emotional decision when it came to D'amoto Rosen who certainly gave you his commitment when it came to wanting to be in Toronto. He got traded. These are the brakes so to speak, he's gone. You got a chance to get a top five player in the league who is healthy and motivated in Colli lynyrd. And he did exactly what he was supposed to do. He filled his end of the bargain. I got you to the finals he got you, as far as any player in your organization is taking you Vince Carter, couldn't do it. Damara Rosen couldn't do it. Colli Leonard did it. So he might not want to have the conversation about best player in the world. And I completely understand. I mean that's a conversation for us in the media. It's a conversation for fans to have. So and he kind of guy. So if you don't want to have that conversation. Fine. I'll have it for you. You were in the conversation for best player in the league, you're in the conversation, you're on the shortlist. There's five people that can make the argument, Katie Steph LeBron kuwa- a Janas. That's it. You just beat honest. You had a chance to go against Steph, if it's still up in the air, it can be undeniable. If you play really wellness NBA finals, and I have no doubts. I've no reason. To believe that he won't play. Well he's played well the last time he was there against the Braun when he was a younger player. Certainly have the experience and this one now not more experience than the warriors but Claus coming in. This is going to put together a really

NBA playoffs roundup

"On the hardwood guys the raptors the nuggets they've regained home-court advantage in their conference semifinals that even their respective series at two games. A piece of good basketball action this weekend Gaylon? Start with the Sixers game yesterday. I thought they had the game in hand about two three one in that series headed terrible fourth quarter stressing poorly the Sixers played, but you know, everyone about Kevin Durant stellar performance in the playoffs for the goals. They warriors who's talking about collide Leonard, I think he might even be playing better than K D thirty nine points, fourteen rebounds yesterday thirteen to twenty from the field in Sixers second year guard Ben Simmons tried to guard Kawhi Leonard, and he got absolutely destroyed. Simmons had one of his worst game. As a pro. Yes today. And then Joel Embiid only had eleven points, blaming an illness. And no sleep Sali's been strange either been great or a no show of this series. But again in that fourth quarter Sixers seven minutes without a field goal. And now they go back to Toronto for game. Five in Toronto lake. You said has homecourt advantage again. And then last night that nuggets blazer series. That's clearly been the most fun series the watch so far. I mean, let's not forget about. On Friday nights. Epic four overtime win for the blazers. But yesterday Denver prevailed on the road one sixteen one twelve they tied to series of two apiece. Nugget center Nikola Jokic Matt posted another triple double. I can't stress enough. How valuable job for these Doug? We all know we can score pass and rebound. But his ability to set screens met freeze of other nuggets players for wide open looks on just about every possession. You take Yokich off his team. They don't even make the playoffs. That's valuable. He is. Yeah. Absolutely. Right. On those screens to getting back the Colli Mike Adams with NBA dot com averaging thirty eight points per game on sixty two percent shooting. Jordan averaged over thirty five on sixty percent of shooting in one playoff series other than that. Nobody LeBron Katie Koby never did it. So we are watching greatness right now in the NBA and in the NBA playoffs, watch TV watching quite lettered in you know, he does everything. So well, but you know, they didn't think he was a good shooter early in his career in Popovich would say that with the Spurs. Now the league three. Point shooter. I mean, he doesn't miss shots as Baker and one other thing I wanted to mention Steph curry struggled where where was he where was he in the fourth quarter? I know everyone is talking about it have you seven at twenty three from the field. But the biggest problem for stent has been his defense. I mean, if you watch the rockets every possession, they attack Steph curry Weber Steph guarding that guy is getting the ball, and they're attacking Steph, and it's getting his head, and it's hurting offense and one other thing you'll Katy at forty six in the warriors loss on Saturday night. But it was a bad forty six matters nothing against K D. But the warriors lose their dynamic of all that ball movement and cutting away from the ball back door cuts. They all just stood around and watched Katie and that fourth quarter. And that's that makes the rocket excuse me, the warriors beatable and predictable negotiating next year's contract. I mean, I I don't I've never seen Katie play. Like this in the playoffs. You're talking about the last three to four games. I I would think I have to go back and look at the numbers, but he's averaging at least more than thirty a game in the last three to four games. I wanna say thirty eight a game and those four last four games. It's been unbelievable. You just make an shots like ripping on caney for scorn too much. What do you? If you want percents from the field. He's doing nothing wrong. He's played as well. As anyone's ever played on the offensive enemy NBA. No doubt about it. Yeah. Well, it does. But it does get stale. It does you know, it does get slow. And when one guy is doing all the work, and nobody else is

James Harden complains about officiating after Game 1 loss in second round of NBA playoffs

"Warriors out the rockets one four to one hundred at Golden State Warriors committed twenty two overs. But a a big performance from Kevin Durant would thirty five points James harden with fifty five loss and yet an issue with reps can do about it. I was told the same thing. It's probably a couple more Sega to call. It a game. I was supposed to be called in. And that's it. And I'll live with the results, especially we all know what happened, you know, few years back Colli like that can change your tire series. Just call it a game. I was supposed to be called. And and we'll there with results in this plan of of his teammate gonna check late in the fourth quarter game on Tuesday night at Golden State at Saudi SPN radio at ten

Major pressure on Raptors going into playoffs

"If Easter right now, let's talk about which team is the best in the east or at least which team. Do we have Preston? Are you guys down for this? Yeah. Okay. Let's start might as well start with the raptors even though we're going to get to the bucks. I'm really excited what Maliki Andrews next segment, but let's start with Iraq is because they lost at the buzzer. And that one heart thanks to generally on the Hornets are they lost? But right now fifty one wins on the season for behind the bucks. It'll be hard to catch the butts, even though the bucks are dealing with injuries and stuff. Are you guys feeling trust in the raptors especially coming this postseason because I think this postseason really matters. Everyone looks like as great as you guys are your regular season team when it comes to the postseason things really changed. And I think that's why messiah Jerry really made that difficult but necessary trade to get quite Leonard this year. I have a little bit more than the raptors are you on the same boat, buddy? I I predicted them to get to the NBA finals on the season started. I do have concerns that when I'm not talking about the first round I'm talking when we get to the second round after playing team like Philadelphia that it's going to get heavy dominated eyeso- bought the end of these games. And I think we see it during the year with. Colli asking him to be the closer at the end of these games. And there's been some good results. And there's not been not so good result. So yeah, I have concerns. I have concerns that cholera. It'd be a hundred percent when we get into playoffs here. He's certainly Nick up right now. I concern is that you have a rookie coach, Nick nurse. Who's never it's different. When you move one over. I mean, it really is. Now, he's the head coach and when you get into a seven game series. So yeah, I have I would say I have I have concerns for Toronto kind of where they are right now fifty one in twenty three. Yeah. And you also if you look at it. There's a lot of pressure. I feel like with this Toronto team for what they failed to do if they put on a good show during the regular season. And we know what the postseason has been of this franchise. But I think when you move a piece as popular in Toronto's demar rose and arguably more popular than Vince Carter was in his prime there for the length of time that he was there you could argue that's how big of an impact that this guy had in Toronto. And when you make that change of bringing quiet, Leonard. And then you when you make other changes like valid Shuna. So you bring in a guy like Marcus soul, who's a guy coming off the bench at this point right now, and providing that power and being that guy, I think when you made the moves the Toronto has made the pressure is on this team. I don't think it's as much about a one seater or not having a one c because as you look at previous champions at one seed is is not been in front of those teams names have won the title. But when you look at this Toronto team, they need to be healthy. These two stores have not played. Enough basketball as Toronto would've liked together this season as you look at as you look at Leonard in Lowery and for this team to find that groove and get going down the stretch. I don't think there's a team. I'm curious. What you guys think that has more pressure on them? You could maybe argue Golden State but outside of that. I think it's Toronto with the second most pressure in the NBA going into this this postseason. Yeah. I have to agree with you, Jordan. I do think that's Rhonda has a lot of pressure largely because of how they've exited at the hands of LeBron James or just being swept when they've had. I think NBA lead leading wins. Right. So there's a lot of pressure on

Colli Leonard, Matt And Ten Years discussed on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz

"Stop embarking me with all of you were telling me how much better I Leonard is than Joel Embiid. Just stop. Okay. Thank you don't have to get that angry about that that I would say that Joel Embiid and Colli Leonard that it's a good question. Who would you rather have for the next ten years? It's not a stupid question. Right. Isn't Embiid several years younger or now he is he's also rar like whatever it is that he's going to be quiet Leonard we've seen right now, we're watching what is his ceiling. I don't believe the Joel Embiid getting twenty free throws last night. I don't believe that that's even his ceiling. But regardless you don't have to get that. Matt

Minnesota Timberwolves teammates caught off guard by Jimmy Butler trade demand

"Coa Leonard is you know, he's an MVP level player in the NBA. Jimmy Butler is an outstanding player, but he's. Level below that, and he's older. And I think the question too is this isn't breaking up in Minnesota because he doesn't like Tom tiptoe. He's always had a good relationship with Tibbett. Oh, now it's strained as this process plays out and he doesn't get the trade and you'll see become probably more at odds. I think that's starting to happen. But the fact is he credits Tom thibodeau a great deal with his development of player. Last pick of the first round out of Marquette, who went to Portsmouth and the pre-draft process was fighting to just be a first round pick and becomes an all star max player in Chicago, and the fact that if you're another team and you're saying he's walking away from Tibbs, he's walking away from this team. Could he do that to us after seven months? And I think that factors into your thinking too, about what you give up for him? One hundred percent, right? I mean, he that extension that. Minnesota offered him would be available six months after your quired him, and he's not going to accept, you know, four years, one hundred million dollars. He is certainly renegotiate renegotiate his contract. But as Minnesota learned this summer, when you're over the cap, you can't go about doing it and it would take gutting, you're going your roster to do it. And you know what I've learned is that when you go out and make these type of trades, you're always chasing that trade and you're trying to acquire other pieces to make that player happy. And you're really, you're really hurting your roster to do. So. I mean, I mean the the Darren Williams trade back in two thousand eleven in the year later to follow up with Jerry Wallis because you're trying to convince Williams to stay or your trading multiple draft picks because you're trying to convince that player to stay in free agency. And I think that's where. That's where the situation in Toronto with Colli that Masais got a good comfort level with that roster there with Kyle Lowry surge Bach, and some of the younger players Dhillon. Right. And then Lee Valance Eunice that he doesn't have to go out there and go out and get it Jimmy Butler PO. Possibly that he says, I can go to, you know, I can go to battle with these guys that when fifty nine games with Colli Leonard. And that's a lot different than maybe the team like Brooklyn who acquires Butler and then says, what other pieces can I go out and get to try to piece his player to make us competitive? And I think that's really where teams really get themselves in

"A lot of it doesn't have anything to do pertain to winning getting lebron james is a heck of a a get by the lakers i think the roster building outside of that has been for me a little bit peculiar usually you're trying to surround james with as much shooting instability as you can and it looks like they've actually gone just the opposite of that very little shooting and some unique personalities to incorporate alongside james because lonzo ball rondo all those guys they're not gonna handle as much as they normally handle because if they do in james doesn't have it then that makes no sense either so i found the james acquisition to be for them obviously a great day in laker history but as far as the rest of the roster construction it's been a little peculiar to me so the thought processes at the spurs will ultimately trade why to his destination being the lakers but not so fast as tom throw a bleacher report who joined freddie and fitz simons top choice for collides camp is not the lakers anymore ever since lebron james went to the lakers tune has changed lebron james is the guy and kawhi leonard guy essentially michael barry report david was that he doesn't want to play for the lakers second fiddles and lebron actually he does angeles clippers you know if you're a team like the philadelphia seventy sixers most confusing is if you're going to give up the farm for kawhi leonard and you know that he wants to make it back to california you know i'm going to be a real reluctant to put in marquel folsom that deal with the miami twenty twenty one pick that holds a lot of value being unprotected and who knows what happens with the mind eating a couple of years seventy sixers have the assets to get a deal done but if you can't guarantee that he's gonna stay long term that's really difficult at the end of the day i think i think kawhi leonard is going to end up in the philadelphia seventy sixers organization simply because i think colli leonard would make a lot of sense going east that's straight talk wireless nationwide coverage on america's.
