"Were the queen of the geek culture club like you imagine like say ron rolls up of like you know. The typical nerd glasses bartered hair. And they're all dorks and then like in the middle is fucking abella. What we're playing video game tournament. You fucking loser. Don't back about table tennis ping pong. No what do you do. Start the porn club. I'm no i mean. Maybe if there was a humor something definitely like cheerleader. I think basically yeah and the sorority different fraternities down there All right so in the clubs are out. Yeah sounds like doing sports in parties. Losers do bugging activities. Come on your. I don't know how to play any sports. Do you know. I just saw. I don't play. I get like tennis pro to teach me and like get really good. Okay we have like a minute to do that. You got to school tennis. I didn't factor in the everyone else has been doing their whole life extremely hard to play college. Lake very very elite. Yeah all right. We'll work on that. But i mean how olympics why can't really good become bars athlete like way. Anything is possible you. Are you live near the school. yes okay. now you're gonna like live there. No banana doorns about my gosh. Why would i live in a little door. Have like a huge like action. How many bedrooms on your house. So it's So have five bedrooms Somebody maid's room which i don't kow. It's like there's at my house was built in the fifties and there's a tiny little maid's bedroom that's in my garage. But it's like a bedroom but i mean it's not used for anything five and a half a. Yeah it's just me. And i mean i really do. I really suck it being alone. So i have friends. Stay with me alive like at my sister. who's also my best friend like. I make him like pretty much live with me. I'd be sure someone's always at my house because it's very scary to be in the house alone. The entire second floor is just my room and it's like all the way at the end like it's really scary. They'll like even buster tiffany. Like if we're sleeping in my house alone like she'll like grab a knife from the kitchen linked put on the news. "Mean. Yeah they feel like mid-2000s records year. Now but i still think that there's a way you could say like you know those. Those early kayak hits also feel like thousands of acres is that they feel like the wrong kind of mid to thousands record. And maybe i'm being too prescriptive prescriptive. When i say that it's just that i don't know it feels like a waste of me. In some ways that d- amax fell off in the way that he did. Because i i think of d. m. amax in the same way i think of someone like rick. Ross rate where. You're talking about a rapper. Who has a voice and their voices more than just okay. The their voice sounds like this. They have a signature. They ride beats in a certain way that play their voice. A certain way like dm is voice is like godzillas atomic breath. Ray it can cut through buildings right and to me. That's kind of person who i get protective of. Frankly because i'm like no no no you have. You don't just have a gift. You have a kind of weapon and that weapon empowers you to ride. beats other. people can't like that was the thing. Peak rick ross like teflon don rick. Ross so many the the remarkable thing about so many of those hits is that they're there he got on beats that have other people had gotten on those beats those beats would swallowed him whole way. It's like only rick ross. Instead of bark his way over all of the lao loudness bombast. And there's just something about like. I don't know the production of like the great depression in grand champion. I'm just like nah if anything the beats need to be bigger but they needed to be. I don't know they. They were just a little too monotonous way. The brassy they were all kind of the same beat after a point And i've always resented that i don't know i've just always resented because i'm just like dm mixes voice can do anything yet can cut through anything deep this band. The biggest beats in the land if anything well i mean. Like if there's one read like beats is one reason for why the mx off the other one is obviously jail. Yeah i'm discounting jail jail. Jails big factor. A mini rap. Career has been suspended by joe But for He did also say that interview that he said that you know. His most recent stood in jail wasn't by any easier but in fact harder than all of his previous said so that used to jail. Fun is idea to be fun mike. I used to be like on sneaker. The other people cellblocks of battled people like rap battle people. And you know like i buy one for like other legs just like yeah or jail used. Be fun like it now. It's like not fun. 'cause like there's other stuff i think i could be doing which is also kind of sad that is the it is but it has like a twinge of this at a real rap argument back in my day. My day rap was like this. Yeah jail used to be fun. Miami's to yeah. I mean wow. India vacs i think a lot of rappers have a lot of ways of using hip hop to exorcise the demons to sort of try to convince themselves to be better people. Right to sort of sermon is at themselves right. And it's like you listen to dm mex and you can hear the traces of scarf as you can hear the two pack. You can hear the lauren hill his voice and yet he's such a distinct thing unto himself his dm xs project to me which is so specific and frankly bizarre ray lucia again. The the morality play aspect of railing. You were talking about rapper. Who is such like a loudly hateful. Violent voice and the way he sort of shotgun that to being a guy who has his like super sincere stretches of his albums where he becomes a youth minister. You know what i mean. Well who else does that. Not only who else was doing that but just sort of who else would do that. there's a messiness to that. I know before. But he says there's a messiness de amax that i don't know it's just it's it should be the most alienating thing in the world but it was the opposite and yet it is totally disarming. Yeah i'd like i've it. Was you know this this this past week. It be you know easter weekend. I was and the situation being what it was. I was just watching and listening to like the series of like d affects prayers like the and there was the one that like a prayer. Never he did on that talk show is like and i think that i can i. Just don't i feel like there's just not a better note to go out on like then just to like have some uplifting raining lurch from div x. I guess what i'm asking is so me how to stand for you. And i will rap for you sing for you preach for you teach for you reach for you. How love you like you. Love me unconditionally. So yeah this is the what bet that was one of the skits from the great depression which came out two thousand one of your least favorite. The events checks but Yeah it's just like gig in like we were saying before. It's it's so earnest that you can't help but be a uplifted by it Disney clear it is not. it's it's not. That is one of my least favorite. Is that the songs. I like on it or not hits on the great depression to be clear. I like trina moen school street. A great rush I'm glad you cleared that. I don't know man mike. You ain't no me in college lake. I saw for the last two hundred pages of les miserables. The novel by victor hugo. Y'all got me out here feeling like d. m. x. Jean valjean as. I'd i hate this feeling this feeling i really do. I really do man like the. It's just so again it. It sucks rap music subjects us to the so much with rappers lose rappers all the time and it sucks but it just really sucks when it's a guy who like everything just about his voice. You have heard him since. Nineteen ninety eight that just did tremble in his voice that every time you resonated with the dm exxon it was because you you felt that instability that shakiness that sense of a man like who's right on the brink of falling apart and now here we are in it sucks man. I hate this with all that said. I'm justin charity and now mike. Peters shouts out to our producer air christopher. We'll see our next week..

another another former former democratic democratic presidential presidential candidate candidate is is endorsing endorsing Joe Joe Biden Biden in a video on Twitter California senator Kamilla Harris threw her support behind the former vice president saying quote I believe in joke we need a leader who really does care about the people and who can therefore unify the people and I believe Joe can do that and with us right now was ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts Steve what a difference a week makes it did you anticipate Joe Biden picking up this mode the momentum this quickly no I have not I don't think anybody did I I think what we're what we're seeing though is a fascinating phenomena based on one word and that word is fear it's fear of Donald Trump and fear of Bernie Sanders Joe Biden has not been reborn as some useful charismatics move talking energetic candidates Joe Biden today is still the same Joe Biden that people have a lot of doubts about two weeks ago two months ago two years ago the difference is that Democrats have so desperate so frantic to find somebody who can beat Donald Trump that they decided that day either as a group and individually as voters and as candidates they'll camel Harris being an example of of having to rally around somebody and then choosing between Biden and Sanders the fear of Bernie Sanders is pulling the party too far to the left so there's a lot of energy around the Biden candidacy right now but in my view it's largely negative energy it's driven by fear it's driven by desperation there are not a lot of Democrats even this morning jumping up and down in Saint Joe Biden's gonna be a great candidate a great president but this negative energy is very powerful and that's what's driving this trend do you think it's now his to lose or is it too early to say that definitely has to lose end up and I think it's gonna be very difficult for Bernie Sanders to rebound here the one variable of course the one no wild card is by himself as I say he has not been report he's still the guy who can show astounding lapses of judgment he's still the guy who could make gaffes he's still the guy who can show his age very clearly he's still the guy who can appear fumbling and uncertain and in debates with Bernie Sanders and interviews it's still entirely possible for him to make damaging mistakes I think a lot of Democrats even if they rally around by they're holding their breath and hoping that Biden will get its act together and I've seen some signs a few signs of Byton improving on the stop I think he's shown a little bit more energy I think the campaign line about I'm the candidate of those who have been left behind it counted out is a defective and powerful line really echoes of a bill to written of nineteen ninety two the comeback kid although Biden's hardly a kid he's more the comeback teaser than the comeback kid and also this line of of of appealing to the concepts of dignity and civility and normalcy I think they provide a fairly stark contrast to the president who's in the oval office now but Biden is still Biden it was all of his flaws but at this point he's the Democrats best hope and it's gonna be very difficult for Sanders to capture Steve thanks for your thoughts again this morning ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts it's also worth noting that this morning one of the former "A theater artist from Oregon, who does diversity equity inclusion training in Africa. Mayor. Gay African American man fantastic artists. He's coming in, he's gonna teach for us all summer, and then now some are for the month he's available, and then he's gonna do these diversity inclusion, trainings for all the staff for all the board in for all key volunteers, because at the bias the it's real. It's, it's real. The awareness is such a key part of the process in it's continual, it's not like you can do one thing, and they'd be like, oh, good. And, and I think that, that's, I think that's something that we that we all forget that we that we think we've done the grownups, we've done the work. And now we're ready now we know what we know. And, and so I tell people all the time when when in those circles and talking about that stuff. It's like you never spiked the ball. You're never gonna do your touchdown dance because the thing we're talking about is not your lived experience. So how do you think you're going to be able to understand it on the same level that I understand it with? I live it. And you're just figuring some of it out there. There's no like stop expecting to spike the ball. Let's stop expecting to cross the finish line. And there is no finish finish. There's no finish line. Yeah. Yeah. Truly. It's just trying to keep growing. Right. Right. And, and having spaces where you could. Have those conversations? Bluntly. Is hard. You know, I mean, it's, it's because on, on one side you have, you know, any black person or any person of color, no matter what the room, looks like having that conversation is emotional labor on our side. Did you? Some days you just don't feel like doing that, though. Some days your sleep. Ann, Louis other side, you have people who think that these issues, have everything to do with civility. And it's like no, it doesn't matter how nice you are. That, that is not what we're talking about, you know, and I, I really a story to the cast as I had a really good friend in college lake. We went everywhere together, you know, great girl, like we are still friends to this day, she's awesome. And we were sitting outside the dining hall at the C you and she's she'd gone home for the weekend. And so I asked her to go home for the weekend. She's like, oh, yeah, it was great. But I had come back early, why just like, well, my grandfather decides come about appearance house, and I was like, okay that's weird. What's up with that? And she's like, yeah, I haven't talked my grandfather's since I was twelve what why? And she's like, oh, well that's what I found out. "They can get out drop eighty ninety on. Yeah. So I I think Utah states have really good team. And I I think they got a good chance of the zone is always a question. I mean can you handle the zone? If you can't the first time, you see it. Now, I think it's better facing the zone. The first game rather than the second game. Because now you have three days four days to prepare for it. Instead of one day to prepare. Right. A hundred percent, and and they can watch all that tape. Carolina has to one day, and they kind of get out the other thing Tuesday kinda gets in your head. You know, if you if you start missing shots in that zone. Everything slows down. And it's you know, you you're you're passionate decent shots because you don't want to take too early in the shot. And I I like the fact that I just so for me, it's it's going to be tough to Washington get through Utah say because you said that we'll get topic. But if they do and maybe get a little bit of the second hand on their season. I think they shut down because it's such a big lead in the conference, and they just kind of a laxed, and they haven't been able to turn it back on good point. Have you watched much of a against this year? And what do you think of them? I think they're incredible. I've seen them play play two or three times. I know I saw some of the Saint Mary's game. I I I saw him play actually against Washington. And and speaking in Washington in Washington lost you'll by too, but I felt like Gonzaga like it points in the game could have won by twenty five like they were that explosive. And I I mean, I think they're I think there were they are top fourteen and. You know for them. I think they've they've gotten over the hump now of obviously, not just being the major. So I wouldn't be surprised if if they if they made it all the way, I think the one thing for them is, you know, their their defense sometimes that, you know, just I don't think it's a top five defense. And even you know, the schedule they played is, you know, is is less than most of those those top teams. But I was just looking at it. They're actually in the kingdom rankings, which is the only thing I look at and trust a lot they're sixteen and adjusted defense, and that's that's not great considering again that they play a lesser schedule than the Virginia's. And dukes those team, but pensively they're so dynamic. It's I don't know if the defense we didn't come into play too late. You know, play those really good teams. I know we got to run. But how do you look gotta ask you because you brought up the the Ken palm. And I think we're have Kemp Oman tomorrow. And we always have been Ken on the great information. And the way breaks up down the one thing I'm gonna ask him. Him. And I'll ask you this. When I break down the stats like offensive defensive efficiency, offensive rebound percentage defensive rebound all the stats that you break down in the NBA. It's apples to apples because everybody's in the NBA. Everyone's really good secret that those put in in college lake someone stats may look better, but they play in a lesser conference. So how do you look at that? And maybe we'll say, well, that's why I just in my Justin for that. I'm not sure how exactly does that. I'd be curious about that. But when you look at him. How do you kinda sift your way through that little bit makes sense of numbers? Because in college basketball, it's kind of I don't know if it's apples to oranges. But it's it's not apples to apples. No, it's not. That's why I when I look at them. I I sort of you know, I I take them into account. But that's why I just mentioned what can delegate to me it's different because of their schedule and who they play now, I know he has strength of schedule. And like, you said, I know there's somehow I think he adjusted when I when I when I look at Virginia, and I see them, you know, adjusted offense to an adjusted defense five that means a lot because I just know they play every day and same with, you know, Michigan state Michigan and all of those teams like, I just I feel like I know they're playing, you know, listen to your point playing apples to apples, the I would be really fascinating to hear the Gonzaga answer as I it. And I'll tell you. The other thing too. I looked at this. I think we talked about this last year. I looked at this last Jedi around your front of me. But I look at like the last eight or ten or something like that. And it was crazy because it was like every like of those, you know, forty teams that I looked at like, the average defensive adjusted defensive number was like, you know, it was low it was like eight or, you know, so that I mean, it was just really low, and like they're like, for example, there was one team that made the final four, and they and they were like it was only like one team out of all those was like over forty adjusted defense. And I remember looking at that thinking two years goes UCLA when they were the number one offencive team, and they were they were always skirting around fifty sixty something like that around defense. I kept telling myself, you know, they they had ball, and they had all those they had like just a incredible weapons on offense. They were they were one of the best offensive projects that offense. Teams to Kim palms ever. Even had like all the years. He's done it. And they lost in the Sweet Sixteen to Kentucky. Because I just, you know, those numbers meant something because it was like, hey, I don't think they're gonna make it because of those numbers if you look at the history and sure enough they couldn't get through the Sweet Sixteen. Yeah. Hey, man. Thanks for joining us. We always appreciate the conversation. Hopefully, it can do it again throughout the course of the tournament and tell them you'll black ladies we said, Hello. Hey, thank you love being on. You guys. Have a great week and say how do you lifetime? Absolutely. Thanks, matt. Appreciate them at okay. It's always fun talking to a former former wildcat. Yes. I think he kind of likes your your aggies. Yeah, they can shoot it. And like you said why Washington Syracuse zone, but they can they can shoot it pretty well. But who knows? Now, they're good and that Merrill, guys. Stay is really good. And they just they got some guys that can play. They absolutely have some guys that can play. And I don't think they'll be intimidated by Washington. And again, I think it helps. Faces own would four days of progress against his own is it's almost like would you as an option and football? If you face it the first week of the season or you face it in a bowl game or you might have a bye week then you have time to prepare. But when you don't ever phase option offenses, and then you have to face an option offense. I mean, go look at Alabama the last couple of years, it was Georgia Southern and then one of the I forget who it was this year that I mean they had to beat them pretty handily but this scuffle with him a little bit. They gave up more yards than they would normally give up on the ground just because you're not used to playing against that. And there's just not many teams that are exclusive zone team. Syracuse in Washington because Hopkins coach interbay high. They're both exclusively zone teams. I mean, there may be like four or five percent of the possessions. Whether or not for whatever reason, but it's not that easy to to really get a feel for when you don't have to go against it. But if you. Have some time to prepare for it. The nooks and crannies zones. Which are we think if you have time good teams will figure out it's easier to do. That's why I think it'll be easier for Utah state four days to prepare for this rather than somebody that would have one day to prepare for it. Absolutely. All right. There you go. There's Matt meal Bach. I I got a couple of early six thirty specimens a couple of things you may have missed. We'll full six thirty special at about six thirty. I'll let stuff coming up next. "Fame quarterback in the best man at my wedding. Wow. If y'all been like nine years old at start with believable. Well, you know, what he was. He had a nice tux on. All right. We'll go to the big trade from our recuperate Jason carrot Jason Garrett and dot Prescott. You've got a week off. Is there a way to use Amari Cooper to improve things immediately? Yes. Absolutely. Tony in many ways. If you think about the field where the Dallas Cowboys are struggling outside the numbers all the way to the goal line. Right. And then the deep part of the middle of the field. If you put that on the mix they can horseshoe. And you don't need to be an expert in route run, you don't need to say, hey, there's intricacies to the timing of the post route or the goal route of the back shoulder fater. He needs to start to dominate what we called the horseshoe. That's why that's where Jerry Rice dominant. It's what call Mr. Ed the horseshoe. Absolutely. Absolutely. He can he can dominate right away and make a big difference. Jerry Rice, grace to Blake Bortles gets the start against the eagles. Even though he was benched on Sunday. And see if there's one thing about his game where a couple of things about his game. You will say Mr. Bortles focused on this? What would they be? I mean, come on. If you know, those backyard pools, you have we fill them up, and let's say they get a whole right and starts to leak. Blake Bortles for some reason when it starts to leak he goes with pokes three more holes in the pool. Cause more damage, and it's like it feeds on itself. And he's he he has a chance to be a very good player. And you see games where he's like. Wow. If we plays like they want to Super Bowl. It's true. What about the games where it's like, he just can't stop the bleeding to me as a player. I always knew it wasn't my day. And I was like I'm gonna go neutral. I'm not going to try to dominate. But I'm not going to be the reason we lose just he's got to be able to stop that bleeding. Let's get something close to wilbon heart his best. Mitch Trubisky for year and a half. No ideal hated track up trading up to him. Theater right now. Suddenly, we'll loves to great great games. Should we'll be sold on him right now. I look to me early on especially this season. He looked robotic the reason why he was robotic is. He has this perfectionism in him. He wants to be perfect as a quarterback. I wanna make every read I want to be just right? I wanted to everything and when you're like that you become robotic and you can't so much of quarterback is artistry. It's not science. And so he was trying to be the ultimate scientists and like, okay, great. But he has so much capability Scott last week to be an artist. So I think as he gets more free and loses a little this perfectionism. We're going to see very good player. I I'm more than ever, I guess, obviously. Because he's been playing. I think there's a huge upside for Mitch abyss. I'm a big fancy we're on the same page on his early in the year hair. You wanted to down the stadium when they drafted him. You're not paying attention. You're not you're really into the Redskins. And all your stuff we have seen so much ofensive innovation. Steve is crazy HAMAs. Just offense is out there. New offense and more offense. Are we ever going to pendulum swing back to see defense of innovation as tough, Michael? If you think about the rules committee's not in their favor. I mean, there's you need rule. What happens all the rules are favoring receivers interference favoring quarterbacks and protection. Everything's favored in the offense. That's why the innovation comes. You can do more the old RPO's what used to be called? Like, you had you couldn't the speed of the deal that we be that they held you and battered you couldn't you couldn't play that way. Now, it's opened up. We can be more college lakes. The offense of innovations been allowed by by rule by defense. You're gonna have to change the rules. You have to allow them to grab I five yards. You can hold them. You have to do something to give them some advantage. Otherwise, the only thing I can imagine Michael offense and defensive lines and the way they do the amoeba defense..

"But it very much feels like it's of its era i'd say the state probably is the exact same way i was an following them close enough at the thai now i would probably give it to mr show just because i i can pick out lake the pretaped colin shows my favorite sketch of television life of yes sketched tv of all time yeah it's just and is such a small crew of people every time i talk about colin show ideas like a as always what is in my head is just like we get his ryder it's going to turn into that maybe it should turn into that yeah the state is is definitely of its time also have wash it really since was knew what also like both of them had their moments that were like totally removed from time like the protocol and shows a good example you know there's allotted shit on the state that definitely still works to enemy like like there are obviously still capable and i know it's not a one two one but the new wet how'd american summer like new new season of that was funny yeah yeah they're they're both really great both really great i'm i continue to be shocked at how many like principal players of the state or just like out there doing stuff yeah like i would have expected most of those people feedback into obscurity advertisers and while they're in college lake right yeah they're gone it's like they're still do unlike stella shows here and there ryan yeah yeah still who tore stuff they're all off the directing and stuff right at creating shaves wayne is like an super jail.

"The big change came when after my software your johnson i i'd gone there to study film under the context of a christian college the film peru magilton was severely lacking so i made the decision to transfer from johnson to colombia college in chicago ryan taken a class in high school an as you know almost anyone in the midwest knows colombia's like the media arts college the midwest because we don't have a ucla or n y you rightly valet here on so i decided to go there my outward choice or my outward reasoning for it was because there was a better phone program but again the reason i made that choice was actually because i needed environment that was freer for me to explore myself am right i didn't realize that or even if i didn't realize that i wasn't being our the truth with myself of that was the reason i was transferring on by it definitely was lake i definitely wanted i don't know i don't know if i knew that i wanted but i wanted something different and i wanted to i wanted a change in the environment um you know and it was two thousand nine when i transferred and i remember in the two thousand eight election when barack obama had one on being at this conservative christian college lake my facebook blew up with people make college at the in college making racist comments about our about our porch monkey president or whatever you're know kids in my school and i just remember 'only for me that will it wasn't the breaking point but it was one of many signs of lake this isn't this community isn't the community i need to be in right now because i'm constantly at odds with some new things i'm being presented with hair here it's like a death nine thousand coetzer yeah and so i made sunday the big choice to transferring go to colombia colombian.
