How the Agency Model Disrupts the Australian Automotive Market

"So john we talk about the dealer distribution model the franchise distribution model have been around for long time. Henry ford was one of the pioneers in the industry. Not interested manufacturing but also in the vehicles to independent businesses across the us and then he took model either to europe to expand the franchise. Business also sell more vehicles. Tell us more about how and why did he do it. In one of the benefits to the manufacturer and the benefits to the deal. I think the important thing about the way henry ford. Where is he needed to have a very efficient factory to get that efficiency you needed to produce sign many vehicles a diet and make sure that constantine coming out to the factory and the best way to do that is he needed to get them as sole as quickly as possible. And that's sort of how the franchise model develops of the vehicles produced in. The factory comes out yet meetings. He sells that to someone. Who's going to on. Sell the product pipe for the vehicle at the nighttime the responsibility to then sell to the customer. Which could take a month two months three months but his important thing was to make sure as is produced at salt. And he's the money and he can bring in the next vehicle installed producing that the amount of capital outline invasive is running at the table in terms of the current franchise model stolen existence road across many countries today and the way mice automotive manufacturers work is they will produce the vehicle will come out to the factory dealer will purchase that vehicle and he will then high for the vehicle before it leaves the premises of the manufacturer distributor if the vehicles being shoved another market overseas. That'd be a colby ship ship at once. It lands and the country a dealer within have to pay for before leaves a distribution center. And then in some instances the distributor the manufacturer might support the dealer in paying some sort of interest for a certain interest

N.B.A. Investigating Kyrie Irving Over Maskless Party Video

"Back here. First things first and we're talking about kyrie irving the brooklyn nets star has been inactive for the nets last four games due to personal reasons and now a new report says it will be at least another week before he rejoins the team. Yesterday video emerged that appeared to show maskless at a birthday party. Reportedly dad of his sisters this on top of a picture going around of kiranas zoom call last night for a political candidate twenty minutes before his nets were slated to tip off so much going on. Here here's head. Coach steve nash on his point guard. And where things are you sure. Can you sure like. I said right now. I got to focus on coaching. The team even get the best out of him. So i can't make any predictions are prognostications about things that are outside of this building this evening. We got our hands. The you know we've had this five games in seven nights and we're in a place where we're really trying to put our foundations and saw my hands are full there. Then that's really what i gotta focus. I don't know if i was asked to. Curry was coming back. My answer would be of course not sure i was getting more comfortable with of course than a shore but crisper serge's is joining us. Now broussard will. What did you make of the latest news surrounding kyrenia in. What's natia to say in all of it. Well i let me start with this caveat. hopefully you hope and pray that there's nothing serious going on with kyrie irving whether in his family or mentally or something like that from talking to people about various people about this situation. I don't think there's anything serious like that going on. I think everything is fine in that regard. But i just had to throw that out there. I want to say a few years ago a couple years ago a few people around the league told me this and it's pure speculation but they said don't be surprised or i wouldn't be surprised if one day kyrie irving just shocked. Everyone and walked away from basketball now again. That's pure relation on their part but it's based on their knowledge of his personality and just seeing his moves in the nba. Then we have kyri last june about six weeks before the teams went to the bubble sane on zoom call with other players. I'm willing to give up everything for social justice reform and then last night we have him on a zoom call for the democratic candidate for manhattan district attorney while the nets should be are playing their game or right before when he should have been at the nets game. I kyrie irving is acting like he does not want to be a professional basketball player and i stress professional. There's a difference between professional basketball player and a basketball player of professional basketball player. Plays when he doesn't want to at times. A pro basketball player play is available understands. He has to go out and earn that paycheck of pro basketball player or athlete plays through life circumstances and dramas and the nets have got to get to the bottom of this pronto. If kyrie does no longer to be a professional basketball player they. He asked to make a decision he asked. Let them know. If i'm the net. I think i re down and i have this conversation with him and i also tell him. You're not getting paid for the games. You've missed already and you won't be getting paid for the games you presumably miss. Because i assume that leaves gonna put him under quarantine for colby violations from that party. If kyri says he wants to play a he does want to be a pro basketball player. I accept that. And then as soon as i'm done talking with him i pick up the phone and start calling around the league to trade him and i don't know who would take him at this point but if the houston rockets would take him. I would trade him for james harden yesterday.

"They took me if they really love a character or they hate a character. They tell me they like stories where I get a lot of wow. I cried at the end of both your books that one that came from marketing. I think that social media ads on Twitter and Facebook or great and then Amazon has unbelievable way to place an ad based upon previous books that a customer may have purchased so you can Target your audience. For example, if someone bought a Tom Clancy or Jack Carr book, they also might like alarm say Colby book off. Okay, and are you doing most of this stuff yourself or with a little bit of help from fiber folks or do you actually have people doing that for you? So I utilize dead? Ninety-nine percent of the time myself just recently I was entering a business agreement with the real books by and they're able to act as my editor off and do some marketing for me and Ryan the gentleman who runs the real books fi is the all-knowing wizard behind the curtain gentleman who hit helps them all the big-time authors and I'm lucky to to learn from him. Well, that's interesting. What is it typically in a novel type author situation? What is it that makes a best seller. Is there a magic formula? I like to think about it as someone who's writing from experience. Now. I referred to Tom Clancy or either earlier. He was a great writer, but she also sold insurance for a living and she never sat in the cockpit like we did and so I like to think when when I write someone like you who has also said cockpit and experienced combat would be like, wow this guy writes from the heart because he did it. He wore the flight suit, right and I like to think that that helps with the authenticity of being an author. I actually rode the hallways of Capitol Hill all the way to the Pentagon and and sweat my flight suit out in the Middle East and in other areas and you can't replicate that veterans would probably relate to that because we have done it. Yeah, that's what want to Clancy's accolades many accolades. Was he sold insurance for a living? But but you would never know it like he was so good at writing. He somehow figured out to write it in a way that seemed like he was there doing it and that's why he would became so popular cuz absolutely. Yeah now there's a number of authors out there that right from their experience as well like Andrew Watson was an 860 pilot. Jack Kang was a Navy SEAL..

This'll be very helpful. It's a crazy thing and of course, with the tragic ending, which is horrible. So. Let's go back to Chad Day Bell. He married his first wife Tammy in nineteen ninety and they had five children together over the years in Nineteen ninety-two Laurie got married for the first time at age eighteen and this marriage only lasted a very short time under a year from what I've heard. Then she remarried in nineteen ninety five and that's when she gave birth to her son Colby in nineteen, ninety six. Again, she got divorced then in two, thousand one, she married Joseph Ruin and Laurie and Joe had their daughter Kylie together in two thousand and two, and just a little bit of a word about Tyler's childhood. We we know that she was used as a pawn by Laurie and her divorce custody filings against Joe Ryan. But there's also some evidence fairly convincing evidence that Laurie mains have had Munchausen by proxy pilot who's in and out of the hospital many times, and she even had exploratory surgery to quote figure out what was wrong unquote and that's something that just. Really isn done nowadays, right? No, it isn't that if we go back a few years that was something I mean if if you have parent who keeps bringing a child into the office bureau for various complaints and you have run tests and nothing ever shows up, you might have considered doing an exploratory bit of surgery as probably a what's called a lap me. Where they look inside the the belly at the F. Domino contents and maybe take biopsies just to see if there was something that they had missed Leah from my experience on a pediatric surgical floor though they only do that when they're like at the end of their rope, this is after days of observing taking the kid off of a regular diet doing. IV fluids run, they do a lot of things I and the munch just love to hang out in the room for days and get the attention. So this is very classic Munchausen by proxy behavior who certainly is yet it really is and no illness was ever determined, which is significant I think road even with the surgery. Yes. So so there you go. Exactly. Nine, two, thousand when Tyler was about six, her therapist raised concerns about the stress Tyler was going through with her health issues and the custody issues. Tally, did say to the therapist that she did enjoy visits with her father. There were documented concerns about Laurie being dishonest on Tyler's intake forms. One of these things whereas where Lori said, the tally had pancreatitis. The custody documents I was able to peruse showed that Kylie did say she enjoyed visits with her father but then she told the therapist that she was frightened to stay overnight because her father molested her now she used the word molested and when her mom came into the room with her and the therapist apparently tie looked at Lori and said I, told her. So it just really I'm not convinced that Joe sexually abused tightly and I'll always believe someone until I have reason not to especially a child but there were some classic signs of the Mother Coaching her. So in two thousand, four, Laurean Joe were divorced and Laurie remarried Charles Valo in two, thousand six. Now for those of you who are counting Charles's husband number four. Yes, and in two thousand, twelve, a little boy named Joshua. Jackson was born he's he's the biological child of Charles Valez nephew his grandparents cared for jj until they made the decision along with Lori and. Charles that Lori Charles would adopt and raise JJ, and this was back in two thousand fourteen. Laurie already had colby and entirely. So the grandparents K. and Larry Woodcock were really thinking that they might have a better home there because there'd be other kids. It's kind of their little bit younger than Larry and K. so laurie who they thought was just a wonderful mom. At, the time agreed to adopt the little boy with Charles and then Laurie Charles entirely moved to Hawaii along with JJ services in two thousand fourteen when the adoption went through the options gone through and we've Kurt the family now lorries. Oldest son is what out of the house at this point because he's like eighteen nineteen, he didn't move to Hawaii with them now. He didn't in two thousand fifteen back to Chad, Tammy and the family moved to Idaho from Utah Right, in two years later, the veil of family moved back to Arizona, from Hawaii then on April third two, thousand, eighteen lorries, ex husband, her third husband Joseph Ryan was found dead in his home Laurie was notified as she was still listed as his next of kin. Didn't notify Joe's sister Anne who by all accounts she was very close to Anne was still a part of tiles life, your birth Maurice to ruin agenda Yes. I know we've talked about this a little bit in part one, but you did get a chance to review the autopsy. They were a few things that stuck out to us like the fact that the height was off and they call them a heavyset guy which he really wasn't. No. But remember he was in his apartment for at least a week decomposing before anyone found was a neighbor who found him that's correct. Yes and we don't have the entire autopsy but the cause of death was per tiriac sclerotic heart disease, which means that you're coronary arteries getting clogged up, which isn't really crazy for a fifty nine year old man to die of in general but

Doomsday Parents, Chad And Lori Daybell

"Laurie Velo Bouza forty, six year old mother of three married a fifty one year old father of five Chad Day bill. On November fifth two thousand nineteen in Kauai Hawaii. Chad's wife for close to thirty years. Tammy. Day. Bill have been found dead in her home just two weeks earlier. So obviously, they didn't waste much time remarrying. Stunningly Quick Tammy was in apparently healthy forty, nine year old woman infectious training for a marathon. Just, ten days before her death, which was October ninth two, thousand, Nineteen Tammy reported on facebook and the police that masked man had shouted her with what she thought could be a paint gun what's going on there right? Exactly. The other very interesting aspect is Laurie and Chad had picked out and ordered their wedding bands more than two weeks before Tammy Steph. That's right. Shoe on that one for a while right so October fourth to fifth tammy visited her parents Beck in Springville. Utah, where she's from and then a few days later on October nine, a man ski mask was shooting at her so I guess the police decided it was just some kind of prank because she thought it was a paint gun and they never found the guy, but it's very curious. WHOA, it is and it's really just the tip of the iceberg in this really strange case with all the suspicious occurrences just everything surrounding lawyer and Chad, his mess and very suspicious of course. Yes that's an understatement. So Chad Chad Day Bell is lawry's fifth husband. Laurie was born Laurie Noreen Cox June twenty sixth of Nineteen seventy-three in San Bernardino California and she grew up with two brothers Alex and Adam and two sisters Stacey and summer Alex Cox plays a really large role in this whole story so you need to remember him Adam lives in Kansas and he's worked as a radio personality, but he's pretty much out of the whole seen as far as we know so far. Stacy Cox died in her parents home when she was just twenty two years old and this was from complications of type one diabetes lorries remaining living sister Cox shift. Let was one of lorries, biggest defenders until June of this year, and that's when the remains of her children jj entirely were discovered on the property of Chad debacle. Now, people who knew Lori will have said that she really became a person after she became involved with shed she had been considered an excellent mother. And a good friend to many many years ago back in high school Lori was a happy energetic cheerleader at nineteen years of age. She married her high school sweetheart Nelson Jawans. This marriage is over within a year. Then when she was twenty two in Nineteen ninety-five Laurie Mary twenty-three-year-old. William but Sheila, and this marriage was in Travis County Texas. They had a son named Colby in one, thousand, nine, hundred, ninety six, and they ended up divorcing in nineteen. Ninety eight. So, by the time, she was twenty five years old she'd been married and divorced twice already. See and she has one child, and then in two thousand. One Lori Mary Joseph Ryan Joe Converted to Mormonism, and that was the religion it Laurie had been raised in. He didn't legally adopt coby coby took his last name. and. He and Laurie had a daughter together. That's highly in two, thousand, two and two, thousand, four in August Joe filed for divorce from Laurie. And it was finalized in two thousand five. In two, thousand, six, Joe Ryan filed a complaint with the court stating Lori was not complying with the visitation order. He asked she'd be held in contempt then August two, thousand, seven Joe is attacked by Laura's brother Alex. For. This guy chases show around with stun gun. He tased him twice and he threatened to kill him. Yes. So I'm going to ask probably a stupid question is this because of the divorce or because he took her back to court. I'm thinking it was related to the custody issue because the divorce was already finalized been finalized for over a year. But you know she was also looking at some trouble because she was in contempt of court. She wasn't bringing tighly for her visits and she was keeping tidily away from him. So, Alex Laura's brother was very protective of her and actually seemed obsessed at the time with killing Joe. Ryan the incident happened when Joe was leaving a supervised visit with his daughter Kylie and the attack ended when an eyewitness showed up. So Alex, pled guilty to aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury and ended up serving ninety days in jail, and this was in Austin Texas. But the custody battle between Joe and Laurie over tighly really got very dark at one point Laurie head to install cameras in the children's rooms and in the living room for the court to see what was going on in her house. But no abuse apparently was found from that camera footage but just so you know this was a really nasty custody situation. You're S, and then we have Joe Dying in April of two thousand, eighteen still young man. This was determined to be a heart attack they did not topsy, but then he his remains were cremated. This whole time has custody battle with over Retali- had continued to be ongoing, right? I. Believe he was fifty nine but he was pretty healthy and there were some strange things about his autopsy as well. Roy Yeah now the court documents say that Joe Ryan accused Laurie of parental alienation alleging that he had not seen his daughter for more than a year at one point. And he also referred to a court appointed psychologist who had interviewed Lori. And according to court paperwork the psychologist David, our pool

Colleges plan for virus testing, but strategies vary widely

"Dozens of U. S. Colleges are announcing plans to test students for the Corona virus this fall. But their strategies vary widely. Colby College in Maine plans to test all students every other day for two weeks. And then twice a week. Harvard University will test students on campus three times a week. But some plan to test students on ly if they show symptoms or come into contact with a positive case. Federal health officials discourage widespread testing and college campuses. But researchers at Cornell and Yale University's say that without widespread testing covert 19 could be spread by infected students who don't show symptoms.

UFC featherweight champ defends title in split decision

"I Will Fight Island was officially christened tonight for the UFC in Abu. Dhabi there was no baptism to be had in the main event of UFC two fifty one. What's going on everybody? Welcome to the official. You have to fifty one post fight. Show here on, May, finding dot com I'm Mike Heck location this week from Boston Massachusetts visiting the parents this weekend. That is Jose Jose. Main Event Kamara, who's been retains a welterweight title against Whore Mazal. Challenger looked pretty darn good in that first round. I'm pretty surprised that judges gave in that first round, but it was the much fresher champion that was able to sort of chip away at the always game, or hey mazda throughout the fire Ab. Fresher champion but Komo. Zeman was basically been in camps since beginning of this year, despite was like Ben Booked and booked in both supposed to fight earlier this by giving burns, and also muzzle steps in, so yes, he's finally fresher because he he's had the full camp and everything but I think Kamara wasn't one hundred percent in that fight, either considering this long extended, Feick at Ala, similar to twenty Ferguson with all these these these fights falling apart, but Kamara who's been one nonetheless, might not have been the most exciting fight. I saw a couple of tweets complaining about the fight and I really take that. I felt it was a lot of fans that were on this very muzzle hype train. He's on the video game cover on this baptism round the resurrection Super Necessary Punches bef tile, and that they were expecting violence, even mice I myself said fight between WHO's minimize well probably has a higher chance of ending in a violent way, but it did not come out who's been one I had them winning all five rounds the first round I guess. Didn't really matter to me. Who won that? I still come who's been what at least four of the rounds comfortably? The people complain about. The foot stopped the wrestling the headbutts. That stuff will come out. Who's been did what he had to do to win. That's exactly why I thought he would. Take, her might as well because all the time Mazal taking this fight on short notice. Kamara also took this fire. On short notice gets an extra a completely different fighter between Gilbert Burns as well. It's completely rechange leftist camp Had his new trevor wittman is corn for the first time fighting the guy all this bad blood is in the air all the pressures on him, and perform a like we ourselves, said all the pressures on who's Madonna not not a whole lot on Mazal, but at the end of the day. Who's been doing what he had to do? I didn't have a problem with the way fought. Might not have been the most exciting, but if I was going to pick up, predict away whose men would pull this off. This is exactly how I thought he would do it. Yeah, when you get a fight like this and you have a guy as hot as MAS. Bat brings in a lot of the casual fan base. Does your watch? As many events as we watch, and some of the hardcore fans watch everything so most people expected this fight to go exactly that way I thought the first row was going to be the most interesting round, obviously, because of Mazda was going to get it done. He's probably going to have to do it in the first five minutes, and this is the fire. We got like Mara. Who's been defends his title. For the second time. It was another classic who's been like performance and he gets a one-sided win and highly anticipated main event so in the end. We like to talk about the overall letter grade, but it felt like just kind of looking at the time slot when we're all said and done. We're getting ready to hit record here. We're just like man this is this is super late like I feel like the card and the whole night in a weird way. Wet Kinda slow did it not. started off really really quickly. Might just. Like I feel like the first few flew by and all of a sudden I had been watching fights for two and a half three hours and I'm like wow, this fight is cars going quickly I like this pace, and then we the main card and Amanda he boss comes in, and just submits patriots immediately i. wish went exactly as I expected, but then there was decision with Rosen on drugs, and then even Yawn Aldo finish, but it was in the fifth round, so there's still basically fought for twenty five minutes, and then we get twenty five minutes, Vulcanology Holloway and then we get twenty five minutes of in Mazda, also of these we've seen. We saw that graphic on the screen like. All the cards are three title fights, and like we used to fourteen had like Woodley Maya in Jones, a cormet and Cyborg Abinger, and then to seventeen to five those had some bangers like like two to seventeen had three epic fights three like violent, like just three of the craziest finishes you'll see. And then, of course to a five, the CONOR McGregor show, and then to seventeen had the DC Jones trilogy, so I think we're a little maybe. We'll. We'll spoiled on these three. These three title fight cars while we're expecting something like that and I loved all all great fights off spectacular fights, but I think a lot of fans are tuning in to see fight island. In the Mazar strain, all these title-fights might have been. A limited. I could see why they might have been little disappointed. I didn't have a problem with it, but probably was the night Dana White wanted in terms of finishes. Yeah, the main event may have disappointed some people but for. The Sake, this is like the best thing that could have happened for the welterweight division like if you're burns. Edwards these guys are pretty happy right now. Especially Gilbert Burns. One hundred percent I mean we. We set it on count after it was on what the heck or or post eyesore produce. All kind of blend together at this point in the summer, but we. We said if Moslem Dole wins. That's going to be a problem for the US's pockets the welterweight division I mean. We were talking about him fighting the bringing the both belts so that the Conor McGregor. The table and all this. Kamara who's been one and it's? It's a no brainer that Gobert burn gets three matches. Suppose he should've been fighting tonight. before covid nineteen October, nineteen. That's applaud the car, so yeah, for all the way division, and the the the martial art fans of the world that don't like quote unquote. Holding divisions I think that's a good thing, but I. Honestly I love chaos at Moscow had one I. Think I, think it would have been fun time in the world of May. And Mazda all. Let's be clear. We all know this. He was the a side heading into this fight. He's the reason. There was a lot of buzz and a lot of fanfare when you had a guy like game bread in the street that he's on. That's what happens, but a lot of people wanNA know where he goes from here. Because despite losing the fight tonight, he still has a ton of options moving forward. Chaos can still rain in some way Jose. Can you say that again? You cut off quick second. Chaos can rain. For horny Mas at all got about it because he's got so many options moving forward despite the loss tonight. Yeah, I mean Hoy Mazdas. All I'm Kamara. WHO's been himself set like he's GonNa. He's like. He's like he's GonNa. Lose all these like excuses. Bill didn't talk the finance days notice flu costs. The country doesn't have was coach in the gym, covert nineteen this and that so like I. Don't think I of course I think Mazda obviously cooled anytime. You lose. You cool a little bit Conor McGregor and Nadir's, and it's such an insane finish that they run it back, and you have another epic fight like that, but for Mazda all you're obviously going to a little bit but he himself said. Let me, get a couple of wins and they'll run back. I'm sure he want. He would love to five full camp but the Colby College. Is there I? Think that is going to drum up a whole lot of interest I. think people might even be more interested in that fight in the dynamic between those two fires, oarsmen and I think that Kobe Covington already Moslems? Fight does not need a title online. That's just two guys. They hate each other I wanNA break brick on each other's faces. WHO'S MCCANN? Fight Gillard. Leeann, Edwards of course out there, wonder boy thompsons, working his way up Santana, positive I think has covered to so he somewhere out there, so the welterweight division will move, but for now Mazda all. Of course cooled, but he's still I think still the hottest commodity hundred seventy pounds.

"Me Adam Hunter giving you three this week three. Okay, because we love you, we love our fans, and because Colby Cubbon is coming today as well. As well as Lonzo minded field, we got two studs coming on. We have a guy who's ranked number one in the World Kobe and A Guy. WHO's top ten I, think Lonzo. He will be a two Oh five. The guy's a monster is like ten and one with. Nine knockouts, ten knockouts, these guys, the real deal and I love having them on. He lost his last fight. It was. Super Close, it could have went to him and Learning Experience I. don't even know it's like sometimes losing. They get dominated. You're like this guy needs to step back in other times. It's like a close fight. And A Guy? Almost his stock raises even in defeat. The guy like that like Greg. Hardy is a perfect example of who you know. His his last loss I mean everyone was was counting him out and saying that like he has no shot, and he went three rounds against against the Russian look great. Yeah it gets Volkov. And that's one of those things were when you get guys that are young and have unlimited potential and are new to the sport. Meg is not young, but he's young in MMA and he goes. Three rounds against. Against Volk on Volkov and A. Hangs in there. You're like. Wow, look at the upswing. I remember. That was like Kevin Lee when Kevin Lee came on the scene. His first loss was to ally Kita pretty heard Al, and he looked so good. People were like Whoa. This dude. Where did this guy come from? Landau landover non-auto against Tony Ferguson his first fight. People were like his stock rose incredibly. So that's the thing it's like. Even when you lose, you look better when you win, you can still win. Look terrible guy like Jackson who I like. My Jackson but he wanted to teach punk lesson and he got cut after the win. He's the only guy in the history of U. OF C. to lose after a win. Cut After a win. You can lose by winning a win by losing that was. A famous quote in a movie before your time called white men can't jump. It was all with Woody Harrelson movie I want to sponsors. Feed marijuana is legal in California, okay, get it delivered right to at speed. We'd that calm so I'm excited about this. Fight I actually. I got invited to a pool party. this week with the baby. What you're thinking you fun and it's. A good friend of mine who haven't seen for a while on a party, just me and my daughter and my wife, and this guy, his his his daughter. Are Our kids friends?.

"Not just because Colby was the point it might be just as simple as you know a private but the price asking for a waiver tickled to white body could probably get that waiver doesn't have to be because it was the superstar while that money you hold you hope that wasn't the case to you about right off the bat I was thinking sure because he's Kobe Bryant because he's such a celebrity that they're going to do anything imaginable and possible even take the risk of bad weather to get him to where he wants to go and we also done I discovered earlier today that the helicopter was not his yeah belong to another company and the helicopter was born and now we'll Norway came to southern California so it did did not belong to him even though for years and years he was taking a helicopter to beat their traffic and of course as I mentioned earlier as we all know here in New York New York and Los Angeles in southern California that interstate four oh five which goes from wherever LA is I always say it's forty five summers looking for a city but the bottom line is that goes it's bumper to bumper at whenever it wants to be bumper to bumper doesn't have to be morning drive doesn't have to be afternoon drive it could be at three in the morning so he decided years ago to spend a little bit more time either sleeping and or with his family a little bit of both that to get to a game my be a lot quicker to take a helicopter and he certainly had the money to afford a helicopter if he had any at any time during his career with the the taking of the helicopter and then you begin to think that on a Sunday you just don't have that kind of traffic on four oh five more on most roads in southern California I mean the traffic one might still be a little bit with the traffic but it's moving instead of bumper to bumper and a chorus LA in New York might be the only two places in this country who worry everything is measured in minutes not miles William is calling from Manhattan and William your on the fan in New York City what's going on I see nice to be speaking with you again my pleasure was thanks for the call Fisher I'm I was in a cold be you know huge cold and I was more of a lower prime guy more of a Michael Jordan ninety nine the conversation you came up right sure I respect in the middle right how could you not use a wonderful town I am just I am just really amazed how hard I'm personally taking this scene not not really having a connection while he was a player by understanding what this man was doing outside of basketball and how much good he was doing what kind of an influence he was on all the ball play I mean all the balls not just bad players but kids kids too and that's that's my point at Christmas my point where it's like there's a lot of people when they're gone from this world they don't they don't leave void perhaps outside of like a small circle of family and some friends some people even less than that I'm probably one of those middle of the road a guy but when it comes to when you hear what he was doing with his academy with his influence around the world with what is teachings where where his inspiration to others yeah you know there is such a war a war left in humanity now it feels like and I think that's why and how do you replace who's going to step out now and be that guardian so there's who's going to step out now and be that wonderful influence to others who's going to step out now and really give hope and really give an opportunity because that's what he was doing you're in well yeah well then again there might not be someone you can name now but there are going to be those honoring his memory that we're trying to follow with what he was doing right before he retired and sends and again you're right about the sharing of the expert team is faring experiences not just with NBA players that's wonderful that's one thing but with children with men and women and of course he was an icon not only in southern California around any and all fans of the NBA whether your routed former not his certainly understood his impact on his team and on his league and on his country with fans said he had from coast to coast and worldwide he inspired people to pick up a basketball but the point paying to be as successful as you wanna be to achieve whatever goals you want to achieve to follow your dreams and to be as committed with hard work as he was following his dream to be an NBA great at the age of seventeen and I think that's the lesson that others will pick up on others in the past before him others in the past after him will pick up that baton and inspire all kinds of people especially those with dreams and ambitions and goals one eight seven seven three three seven six six six six number to call on the family right we know how much you depend on your phone.

"In the group was my best friend Colby she also dressed in baggy boys clothes teachers mix us up sometimes but she acted nods to should fall off the table backwards and shoes laughing they stared the peanut butter and chocolate chips and what she ate every day all smushed up in her braces one time I for one two and we were walking down the stairs to class she ran down full speed with her baggy pants and long hair flapping behind her in crash spread eagle into the wall at the bottom and then fell over backwards stiff as a board like a cartoon in people and a step over her I wanted to die in ran to my classroom pretending I hadn't seen it they prayed please god NO one associate that with me at lunch and put my sweatshirt hood on and put my head down on the table to show the normal kids I wasn't part of all these antics I tried to see without turning my head if we were getting looked at by the kids next to us and we always were being looked at that way it was the worst feeling in the entire world and he did the other girls for making me look so stupid so stop sitting with them but I still hung out with Colby after school and it didn't matter how dark you you were we've been best friends since second grade after all always who I started my first band with I don't really want to call it a band because it was just us playing three chords on bass and guitar and yelling in my bedroom stuff like but it was good because I at least was playing with someone else I wouldn't have even started playing anything though if it weren't for the smashing pumpkins holy at electric guitar for Christmas a little after I got my acoustic I think she has for a base but her parents didn't know the difference or something I was jealous because at first I thought I'd be a guitar player but I really wanted to play along with someone so I asked my parents for bass later that year since the old guitar they gave me was free anyway and I have proved I was going to keep playing they kept asking if I was sure I wanted a bass and I kept a game we'll be right back with more of the I heart radio original podcast dear young rocker it's.

"Soft soft. Yeah I mean that's really I mean you don't you don't have any kids now. No no kissing single. What are you going to do when you have kids in this environment? I think that's why I've been scared even have kids. It's just I don't want him to be raised like this. You know and grow up like this. And this you know this safe-space era where you know people it. Just they're soft you know they don't WanNa they don't WanNa stand up for what they believe in. They don't want to speak their mind what they think because they're scared of what other how other people judge him for what the what they think really should be. I agree or disagree. I could sit down with someone room right now. We could have a conversation even if you don't believe in what I'm wearing and you don't have the same opinion me. We still sit down. Have a chat and and talk about things is but that's not how the world is these days. It's a crazy world that that they're letting they're talking about normalizing things like gender changed but they wanted Demata or demonize Moniz things like the president or guns or rice right. I mean who actually under their new world under their new world order You and I can get into the ring together all you. Yeah produce you episode. Identify won't be covering self identifies as a woman and you would be allowed to me in a ring and they are calling that progress so aside from visiting the truth what do you do for you and your private time. You're on the dating ups Nominating hanging out and just have good stats where you'd have good stats on the dating scene. you know just just trying to not I'm committed committed to the grind and I love to work hard. Just you gotta earn the American dream you know and you know his starts every day from the morning I wake up. You know I'm thinking about how I can get better now. I can better myself and how it can make America better how you know I can make my craft better still just. It's everyday process and I believe in my process at trust the process and and I'm just working hard I wanna I wanNA make everybody that believes in me in that is on my side like the trumps are on my side. Troops are on my side. I will make them Mohapi. WanNa make them proud. You know just like the trump's there they can't even go to a normal sporting event. They can't go sit ha a half court in a basketball game 'cause Lebron COMP and trying to attack him of course he went attack them if I was there the they can't even have a normal sporting experience. Because you know I mean people hate him so much so it you know that's that that gives me so much. Joy is to be able to give them a normal reporting experience where they can come out and watch me fine and have a good time and hang out and just enjoy themselves. You know them personally. What are they like very humble very very real people like they're not what the media makes him out to be? They're not these people that yet. They have tons of money but they don't act like they're just regular people you know. They're they're good husbands. They're good dads and me. I see they brought their kids out to the thing and I see the way. Their kids are very well mannered in good good race children just like super good kids. I had such a great time with them. And they're just normal people you know they treat you like normal people. They don't act like they're better than you and they just they're down to Earth they're humble you know in and that's why I respect them so much because you know some these tablets like an NFL NBA upon outlawed athletes. They act like they're on a pedestal. Like they're better than people because they have fame and they have money and they have title. That's not how the trumps are. They act like regular people no better than the janitor in the building right and I think that that's sort of what they hit at in the heart of America wishes people that were feeling like a bunch of elitist were deciding for the rest of America you know and and like we were too good to fly over states you know and I say that almost as an attack on myself because I used to think that that I was so educating I I was born in New York so I could born on the coast I never saw the rest of America so my reality was simply New York City and Little Stanford Connecticut where I grew up. And your for some reason you think that the rest of America is like behind and dumb and uneducated all those stereotypes what the south is right. And you think that you have it right in your so educated because you go to school. Can you understand the way that things should be. And you understand the plight of black Americans and pick another ism the plight of women And then I you know gratefully for me. I had an awakening and I realized wait a second. I've always been conservative. I believe in hard work. I don't believe in handouts and I find the argument that we should be giving handouts to be it undermined mind individuals. It takes away the spirit of what it means to humanity what humanity actually is. The human spirit wants to fight wants it wants to champion it. Wants is to tell that story of I was making five hundred dollars. It was my last fight like the glory of that. That's what People WanNa take away when you talk when you're talking about socialism right. You're talking about taking that away saying we're all going to be the exact same everyday. Why why get up right? Why what about now? You worked all everything that you have now is because because you worked one of I just like hey come goes to this guy. He hasn't done anything soap that in. Yeah it's crazy. They're giving participation trophies left and right these days it really are. Are you optimistic or pessimistic. About the future I'm optimistic. I think that I think they were going into the right direction. You know look at unemployment. You know it's the lowest has been since the sixties or economy's booming. You know the troops are doing well. We have you know America's the American and dream is alive and well and I think that I think this is going to continue to thrive in and people that WanNa work in our for or work in earn it. You know they're going to get whatever they want to get out of life and I have to ask you this question just because you are so feared what is your biggest fear of spiders. Wow so already just went into my brain. That's crazy ridiculous snake. Kansas snakes snakes issue really remember member no I grew up in Oregon and like out. We see Gar Garner snakes and run out screaming alums like corners. They don't even bite the little things you know. How do you know vaguely vaguely gardener? Snake the same way that with rats. There's something about rats I don't care. Don't tell me that they're not scary. They're scary. It's the way they like skedaddle. Data is the way they skedaddle like squirrels. Everyone's getting around the bushy tailed allegations allegations of ood. What am I afraid of? You know what I used to be afraid of flying got over that because now I travel five five days a week. I'm not afraid of too much but I really. I don't like rats and I I really am. I'm fearful of like the the masculinity thing really gets going like as I see it and I'm not saying to be jokey like we're breeding different men here like they're really wimpy that wearing shirts that say feminism is for everybody there Vegan. I'm singers anything wrong. If you are Vegan. I'm just saying that it is like there's just a lot of weird stuff happening right now and it's something to pay attention to but I'm optimistic about it because we're here we're talking about this. We've got this amazing belt between us. So nobody's GonNa mess. EPISODE WILL NOT GET TROLLED S. Right we wrap every every episode by allowing you to leave a message for the world so if there's one thing that you want to inspire everyone to do right what is your what would be your call to Action Colby Covington so he's GonNa put the two minutes on the clock. I worked hard for every single day. Nothing was given to me and there was no handouts along the way it was blood sweat and tears to get to this point in my career and and just never given up on on what you believe in and stand up for what you believe in because you know no one else's opinions matter the only opinion opinion that matters is your own and you should have your own freeth on this world. "If you know what you're watching insane to watch but rob law is not really a guy that breaks like that for you to come up with a game plan land and i'm sure you guys together eighteen because he was there for a while so and they know how strong mentally robbie lawler is. I felt in the fight. That rob is waiting for you to get tired. You can see he was just waiting to explode second round. He's tied third all right. Let's do fourth-round dude and then it just you just kept coming so he could never really get it off that big shot and what people don't realize what i did to robbie lawler like there's no fluke about that you can land that fluke five second knockout or you can land a fluke overhand punch punch. People could always say hey. You got lucky with one punch. You cannot say i got lucky i completely dominated from start to finish you know most strikes ever in a u._f._c. fight five hundred thirty three three strikes thrown and landed and and that's the most that's another history and the record books i'm breaking so people can say whatever they want about me but my pace like i said a patient nobody can keep above with campaign sets his face in his marathons. People can't hang with that pace and they find out they don't find out until it gets on. They say all these things all. He ain't shit he's he's just a talker this and that but then when they get not on the field that pace then they know what it's like and they break and you can see it on their faces. There is a guy with good cardio. Whatever put kamara usa does have good cardio. Yes both have wrestling backgrounds. You guys have similar styles right. Is that fair to say. Neither one of you take a step back. Both you guys is both pressure. You break people like what gimme this gimme kamara did to woodley was insane. You know d. two scott the woodley's these amazing. He did it to a woodley that passes time a woodley's. That's in doing rap albums about me a woodley. That's on a woodley. That's analyst for the u._s. Doesn't even trade anymore brennan. He's cashed out tyron. Woodley is not the same tyron woodley from five years ago this is this is a different tyron woodley so i don't see anything impressive in that win over would that he has and let's look at his fights before that he took my sloppy seconds. After i absolutely decimated destroyed day my left him in a pool of his own blood in sao paulo in brazil hometown filthy animals don't dump and he has to go up and take my sloppy seconds and then he goes after another sloppy be seconds ralphie dose nachos the guy that was supposed to be the face of brazilian m._m._a. was going to say brazil from colby covington the king of brazil what happened again. I left him menopause zone blood in the united center and then what what is camera who's been does he comes. It takes my sloppy seconds again guys that were left for dead. He came and picked up the carcasses off. My my dead bodies that i left don't but don't you think like that's obviously the fight. There's no other fight to make like this the fight to make because you gotta unify your bell. Yes have to me similar styles else not that you would care but the odds makers have tomorrow favored. That doesn't mean anything. Oddsmakers are internet basement nerds you know they don't no no they don't know anything. They never been in a fight in their in their life. So who were they who were they to dresden lines and but let's be honest what about when mardi fake newsman fought woodley and he he was in a wheelchair after the fight you remember that he was getting pushed around by ali abdullah sleaze in in the wheelchair. Yeah what was he jumping..

They mark out and they they don't know how to hold their feelings inside. They let their emotions get the best of them when they should just think clearly be smart about it yeah. They really should let speed you. Some fucking garage american grilled cheese in american she sandwich do now. I am on akito diet. I haven't cheated yet so i'm just cheese out. The metal. Don't judge me did please don't judgment never joe thanks dude. I knew you'd be cool with it. I talked to one of the guys you train with you trained with and he's from your same hometown campaigns ultra marathon runner when the best americans on the planet such a bad ass meet him. We're talking this morning. I said <hes> you know they would like what makes kobe like. Here's i'll tell you this. This is why we're from a blue collar city blue collar town. Here's less than fifty thousand people ios kobe's work ethic like what he does entertainment. That's his thing we don't really care about his work ethic the way kentucky himself the way he you you know his relentless pursue of being a world champion is what all of us that's why all this support colby and he said <hes> he's told me a story that guys rump this mountain and he said he doesn't think there's what that he knows. He doesn't think there's one other u._f._c. fighter who could finish this run that he does so he says you and him go up there your down and he said like it wasn't an issue for you really either which is insane 'cause if you don't who campaigns is looked up. He's ultra. Marathon runner runs like three hundred miles a day. A nine to five comeback runs again. He's just he's insane. I call them the kanye west of hunting his own shoes and shit. It's crazy yeah. He's the best of the best. It's an ultra. He's got a saying you know. Keep hammering and ever since. I heard that saying you know it's really inspired me. Just keep hammering doesn't matter what's going on in your life you it doesn't matter nobody cares work harder and to see his work ethic and him saying those things about me that that really like gives me goosebumps down my spine. You know because that guy at the end of that runway we run this four mile run up this mountain straight up hill four miles we get down. I'm exhausted. I'm tired. I'm ready to eat and he's like okay. I'm going to go do another lap up the who and then i'm going to go back to work and then let's get a pump later tonight at the gym. I was like dang cam and you don't ever stop. It's nuts and it's like man. I'm i'm the hardest worker yeah no one's ever at work me but being next cam. That's one guy in the whole entire world that i will say. I works men. He it's an honor and privilege known as a friend and be able to learn and be n._b._a. Expired inspired by how did you guys get connected.
