Arizona county certifies election after judge's order
"A judge's order has pushed a rural county in Arizona to certify its election results after weeks of resistance. The cochise county board of supervisors voted Thursday to certify their election results following the orders of judge Casey mcginley, who told the supervisors to convene within 90 minutes and certify the results by the end of the day, the same board had to abandon plans to hand count every ballot. Supervisors Peggy Judd and Tom Crosby argued they weren't satisfied that the ballot counting machines had been properly certified, while state and federal officials said they were. The ruling comes after lawsuits by Arizona's Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, a local voter and a group of retirees. Hobbes warned that she might have had to certify statewide results without the numbers from cochise county, whose 47,000 votes went overwhelmingly to Republicans, supervisor and English, the lone Democrat, urged the judge not to wait, saying she thought Crosby was trying to stage a quote SmackDown between the Secretary of State and election deniers. About his election loss being stolen and not a shred of evidence. Is this going to lead to some audit or something all over again? Or does Arizona have the goods to shut this down? Well, I just remember the audit was a political audit. That came out of the legislature. There doesn't seem to be any real desire by folks in the legislature today to try to do what they did and failed last time. I mean, they audited the elections in 2020. And Joe Biden got a few extra votes. It was like, wow, that's really helpful. So look, at this stage, really the big game is cochise county. They are the only county in Arizona that did not certify its results as required by law and even they are on the record of saying, oh, well, we're just posturing on this thing. So the Secretary of State who happens to be the governor elect is suing cochise county. What I find incredibly ironic is it's all red state. So if the coaches counting for whatever reason gets thrown out, the attorney general who's only behind by 500 votes has no chance of getting elected because there will be thousands and thousands of votes for him and cochise county. So this is a problem that we have where people try to undermine the integrity of perfectly normal elections. And even supervisors admit in co chiefs, oh, we had a normal vote, but we're doing this in solidarity to the people and Copa county who got disenfranchised. So Jeannie, what's next for Kerry Lake then? I mean, are we going to watch this unfold for the next two years or does she become Donald Trump's shoe in for a VP candidate? Well, you know I'm a bit disappointed she's on Twitter and not untruth, but I hope she gets herself. I don't know where to find her, but I just want to follow up and Rick's just, you guys talking about cochise county, the irony and the absurdity of that is if they fail to certify by Arizona law, then we could very well see a Democrat win the House seat in the 6th congressional district because the 14,000 votes that the Republican won would not be counted and Christian ingle may well take that 6 district. So they are protesting. They say they did nothing wrong. It's in solidarity with Maricopa, and yet they may push a Democrat into that house. So it's utterly absurd. And Carrie Lake will continue. But I think kudos to these election workers in Georgia and Arizona who are fighting this fight and doing the right thing. Leadership does matter, Carrie Lake is absolutely wrong. And let's all hope that there aren't some crazy people out there who act violently. It hasn't happened yet, but this kind of incitement is the real danger here. Arizona to Investigate Possible Voting Violations
"The attorney general has opened our attorney general's office, has opened an inquiry into the Maricopa County's handling of the midterm election. Demanding a full report will publicize full report of the well publicized irregularities and warning there is evidence of statutory violations. Now, I live in Maricopa County. I know what's up here, and what they did in this election, whether through them being egregious, whether they didn't be a malicious, or just plain stupid, it doesn't matter because the disenfranchised a lot of people who were showing up to the polls to vote are right to vote. We have statutory laws in place to make sure everybody have a fair opportunity to vote. And just because you want to vote on election day, that may be the only day you can vote. It doesn't mean you have an opportunity to disenfranchise you. There is no way whatsoever that you can claim that an election was fair, you know, cheating the was it fair, you can't say that the election was fair when people showed up to the voting booth and the machines wouldn't work.

Colorado Suspect Exhibited Violent Behavior Before Shooting
"And June of 2021, deputies with the El Paso county sheriff's office, think of sending right. Charge the man with the same name as the club Q shooter, suspect for two counts of felony menacing and three counts of third degree kidnapping. Same name. Now it could be a different person, but it appears to be the person with the same name. How. Coincidental is the person that has the same name as a murderer. The press release from the sheriff's office on June 18th, 2021, stated that reporting party said her son was threatening to cause harm to her with the homemade bomb, multiple weapons and ammunition, the reporting party was not in the home at the time when she made the call and was not sure where her son was. I almost can guarantee it's the same kid. And I guarantee he's not white. I could be wrong, but our daddy's white because this be all over the news. They're having his face up there plaster. White supremacists, Donald Trump enthusiasts is what they are calling. But if you black, are you Mexican and you don't fit the narrative, now it's okay, nobody's going to talk about the fact that if this is the same person his mom didn't do nothing about the situation at hand, letting him run around thug it up without any kind of restraint, any kind of police involvement, and then he goes out and kill multiple people.

Media Withholds Race of Colorado Club Shooter
"I want to talk about this cute shooting club Q for a minute. This is a shooting that occurred over the weekend. And this is one thing that bothers me about the shooting that happened in Denver, Colorado, or as Colorado Springs, is that why don't we know the race of the shooter? This is the thing that bothers me. 5 people are dead, 25 more injured, the suspect is in custody. They call it a mass shooting, it's at an LGBTQ club in Colorado Springs. And they can tell you, all these details, even one of the victim's mother has come out and they've interviewed her, they can tell you, they can give you all of these details, but why don't they give you the race of the killer? Probably because he wasn't black. I mean, probably because he wasn't white. This is, hey, if somebody got a picture of this guy, I could be wrong, right? I could be wrong. But I look for it. I'm looking at his name. I'm looking for pictures of the suspect, and I haven't seen any. If anybody got some pictures of the person, you know, let me know, but I haven't seen any pictures of him and not one article that I have read. Have I seen any mention of his race? Any mention of his political affiliation.

He said, over a hundred and I think 25 countries have walked up that southern border. That's horrifying, right? To your point, we need borders. It stops terrorism, right? It stops drugs from coming in, it stops criminals from coming in. It makes you control your country to know what exactly is coming in. I don't know that people understand these cartels are some of the smartest people in the world, right? They are intelligent people. They know how to get drugs up here. They're some of the smartest people in the world, they're funneling drugs in this country and we have what is it 300 people dying a day of fentanyl overdoses? It is scary and if we're not serious about that, we are, we are just, again, back to my point before we are a third world country. Well, Mike, I'm very sorry to hear that. And you're absolutely you're absolutely right that this is affecting and it's killing at least 300 Americans daily. This is a real existential crisis that the mainstream media just does not want to talk about. Where I live in California and you see other states around the country that I've been traveling to recently, you see drug usage rampant in certain cities, including in San Francisco, downtown Los Angeles, where people are getting these drugs easily from the border and the cartels like you said are not there to care about the safety of the American public.

Of all mornings for the power to have a glitch. Hey, the plan to count every ballot cast in a rural Arizona county has been blocked by a judge. Cochise counties board of supervisors had planned a hand count the ballots over concerns that the vote counting machines are on trustworthy. But a general rule yesterday that the board overstepped its legal authority. Legal challenge came from a group of retirees who argued the state law only allows a small hand count of early ballots to ensure the counting machines are accurate. An appeal of yesterday's ruling is expected today. It's 8 18. Traffic and weather on the 8s here let's go check things out with Jack and the traffic center. All right, let's start with our bellway delays in Virginia coming out of the Springfield interchange, you'll slow on the inner loop up toward two 36, then approaching and passing the dulles toll road. We'd had slowing in Maryland on the inner loop, Ronald Georgetown road headed toward three 55 in Connecticut avenue, outer loop topside, delays 95 to Georgia avenue then into the big curve, merging with everybody coming off the spur. We'd been heavy passing river road riding toward Virginia. Very slow south of town on the inner loop, near saint Barnabas road headed down toward the Wilson bridge, the wreck in the local lanes after two ten last heard had been blocking that far right lane. All right, without much of an issue now, a 95 in beltsville go in northbound after the beltway, there'd been some activity off on that right shoulder seems to be a non factor at this point. Slowing on branch avenue going northbound, headed up toward woodyard road stay right. We had a dump truck going to the guardrail along the left side of the roadway. There had been some trouble reported in Bethesda, not an unusual slowdown. Three 55 down your Cedar lane, we'd had reports of a crash. Look for delays in Virginia on the George Washington Parkway headed south, approaching and passing the overlooks, then again, as you head down toward the key bridge, delays inside the beltway 66 east into roslin to get up onto the Roosevelt bridge. Three 95 your delay out of the Springfield interchange stretches toward king street, then you'll slow to cross the 14th street bridge. Should we be shocked, shocked at the number of people who have been found dead along the border in Arizona last month? I mean, I'm not shocked in one way, but I'm terribly shocked in another way, And maybe it's because I'm a little jaded as someone who grew up in and have had the largest part of my media career in Arizona, but People dying from the heat as they try to enter the US through less than official channels. That shouldn't be a shocker for anybody When you consider the heat we experienced last month, and the nonprofit group Humane Borders maps the recovery of bodies in Arizona, using data from the Pima County Medical Examiner's office in Tucson, and I'm going to repeat the number that Jamie just threw out there that I feel like we should be shocked by But we're not necessarily and I'm part of the reason why is because Jimmy I'm trying to remember a year when the Pima County Medical Examiner didn't bring in a refrigerated semi trailer to deal with all the bodies found every something that terrible. It is just awful When you think about it. I mean the body just stack up in the summertime. It's I mean, it's it is mind boggling. But this path past month appears to have been especially brutal, thanks at least in part to the brutal heat that June brought So, yeah. Humane borders, says 43 sets of human remains 43 human beings found dead in the States border region just last month, which of course, was the hottest June on record for Much of the southern deserts of Arizona, forecasters say highs in Phoenix, where temperatures last month Regularly sort above 1. 10 and temperatures tend to be similar to those in Arizona's Sonoran Desert north of Mexico. So we don't know how many people died in the northern deserts of Mexico. We're just looking purely on our side of the border, and we're looking purely at Pima County. Because it's the humane borders is basing their numbers on Pima County. You got you got Yuma County. You've got Cochise County that you've got Santa Cruz County. Those are all along the border. Now. Not all of those deaths appear to have happened in June. Maybe that's even sadder right? Because, um, well, at least 16 were found dead for what appears to have been just a day. I mean, we got to them too late. Another 13 for less than a week when they were found, But I also think about those people whose Who just laid out there for weeks before we found them. 127 sets of remains have been found during the first half of this year, much higher than the 96 bodies recovered during the same period last year. I think the pandemic played a little part in that in a pause in these giant.

We spoke about what's working on the border of the collective efforts. Collaboration. The Intel sharing The physical. They talked about all of that and then to find out within hours of him taking presidency, he went ahead halted all that success. And it's caused. I'll tie I said this, I'll say it again is its political theater. It's really political theater on the back to Americans, and it's upsetting to me saying to what I do my oath of office, which everybody shares the same that is to protect all Americans. So To do that to halt our progress here on the border. And I talked to my federal partners. They're in the same boat. You don't have people in the street protest ng at airports, stuff like that, like they did with the so called Muslim travel ban. The hypocrisy is just screaming. You heard? The moment that Biden was, uh, well, actually months out. Wind. The people around the world heard that Biden was going to do win this thing. Had one distinct. They just all here we go.
