Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol: Black Mamba and White Swan

"How is kobe's family ramona. Do you know anything about how they're marking this anniversary. Yeah they really. Don't want this to be kobe. There's actually this is the best. There's actually two kobe days already. What's the other kobe. Kobe in los angeles is eight. Twenty four august twenty fourth. I was there at city hall a couple of years ago when they declared august. Twenty fourth coby bryan day. It'd be happy to see you and his birthday is august. Twenty third so true. Kobe fashion he gets two days. Okay vanessa bryant the other day. She put out a instagram post. Essentially saying please have some respect for our family. We don't wanna see images at the crash all day long and it was an awful day. We should remember him. We should talk about it. But that's just the day he died. I think she really wants to remember how he lived. And the legacy. He left us. So you sat down ramona for a long indepth interview in december with pow gosol clopping. Who is kobe teammate. On the lakers his friend. And that was your chosen way of getting into the story as a reporter. Why did you wanna talk to pow in specific. And why did you want to reflect on this past year without kobe with him. I don't think i realize how close they were. I think the appreciation and the closeness developed over time By just going through everything that we went through but also taking time and wanting to spend time off the court connecting deeper level. I covered them up close to it talked to coby all the time. All the time was right there. I don't have time for friends. I'm not a good friend. Used to say that gets seem so focused on basketball. And then he was so focused on his off the court stuff and and i think with kkob. It's it's sort of revealed itself really sense. His passing of just how close they were. And i had the same feeling a little bit. When when michael jordan spoke at his at his memorial and you know he he was crying and he opened up about how close a relationship was maybe surprise people that kobe in our very close friends but we were very close friends like a little brother. He wanted to be the best basketball player that he could be. And as i got to know him. I want it to be the best big that i could be. So where did you start things with pow. Gusau ramona what did you what. What did you ask him. I i think he just said. Tell me about your relationship. I when i when. I got to the team and we've got to play together. We got nose runs In winning championships. It was all really about business. But then india relationship really took off and really translated into something much more than that some Much deeper than

Why Is Snoop Dogg In a Social-Media Feud With Gayle King?

"This feud sparked between Snoop Duke Dog and Gayle King after a controversial controversial interview aired between Gayle King and WNBA EX player. Lisa Leslie and and the issue stemmed from the enemy between the two when Gayle King asked Lisa Leslie if she thought Kobe. Bryant's legacy as complicated because of vase sexual assault charge back in two thousand three and interview Gilkey kind of persists as she pushes on the issue asking if the entire situation should be left in the past or is it really part of his history and let me pause right there. Oh quick so I can give my two sons. I don't think that was the correct time nor the place to mention that especially during you know this grieving time that Koby. Bryant's family is going through. So I definitely think Gayle King messed up right there by even mentioning are bringing that up. You're bringing up a Sexual assault case that was dismissed into dozen three and she had all those all those years to bring it up and talk about it when Coby Bryan was here but you decide talk about it when he's gone and he's not even there to defend themselves. So that's where my issue it. And that's where Snoop Dogg had an issue with as well like I said the case case was dismissed into doesn't three thousand four because the victim didn't want to testify and how Lisa Leslie responded to this question Shen She states I think the media should be more respectful at this time. I don't think it's something that we should keep hanging over his legacy and I hi. One hundred percent agree with Lisa. Leslie's answer I think she said it perfectly the like I said they had all those years to talk about the issue. She won't question Kobe Bryant but they wait until after he passes to bring up the issue and honestly. That's probably one of my biggest concerns with the media. I I know it's ironic because I'm in media. You know I do these podcast. I talk about entertainment news but my when I my thing with media is just being more sensitive imprudent with questions when you're interviewing everyone I know like the whole point with media like the you know you're trying to get the first exclusive interview or you're trying to be the first one find out about something but like I just think that a lot up journalists and people involved in the media industry needed just be a little more prudent and especially when it involves deaths and grieving and mourning of someone who we we all lost really. I think you know we need to be a little more respectful when it comes to that so following the interview dots. All the heat came came up many criticize gayle king honestly such as myself. I raised my eyebrows when I saw that interview clip and Snoop Dogg. Also criticised is who told her explicitly. Respect the family and back off. Be If you know what I mean by be you know what I mean by being before we come get get you okay. That's what snoop said honestly kinda sounds like a threat before we come get you you know and we all know uncle snoop. That's that's not a threat that's a promise. Almost like knowing snoop dogg's background and amongst the he said some other explicit very like vile language. Honestly that I will not I repeat on this episode on so Snoop Dogg was explicitly telling her like we're GonNa come get you and like calling her all these names and you you know following all the criticism Gayle King. Try to explain herself. Her side of the story via twitter stating that many people took her question out of context tax since. CBS News only posted the clip of that one particular question regarding Kobe Bryant so in her defense she stating you know things. Things are out of context. CBS News they only showed one part of the interview. They didn't like the four hour. I didn't Ask about the rape allegations asked about this this and that his family his relationship with other MBA players. But still even don't like my purse again. This is all opinion of mine right. My opinion still stands in which I still don't think Gayle King should have even brought up those rape allegations allegations or sexual assault case. That was dismissed years ago to taint his legacy or like to. I Dunno spiral some type of conversation nation especially during this extremely sensitive and crucial time where Vanessa Bryant and his girls and his family are just grieving still. I just don't think it was a time time or place and I don't think it should ever be brought up really ever. It hasn't been talked about in years and years. So why does Gayle King. What a bring it up and talk about the specific issue shoe now now that he has passed now that he's not here to defend themselves so I still stand in my position in which she should not have even brought up that a question

"How you been the progresses to go there to offer input on the team where he can manipulate office per se hippie late all that. Same wanting to the heat. Let's say that, that is true. Let's say wants to offer an opinion on what he saw. Is there anything wrong with that? No. So what's the problem problem is that you he's the keys running the team, and that he doesn't have to deal with the idea of running the team that when it goes bad? It lands on genius lands on rod that he's the, the term shadow ghost president now is this postal pre. Magic this is both because you said it a hundred times that magic I don't need to deal with that. And he's not did put a bunch of people on blast with rob in the front office and everything else. But maybe it's like I'm not picking a fight with Kobe Bryant because that might be the one fighting this town that he can't win because the Kobe people that die hard, the Kobe, people are the least reasonable people in all of sports. But if he was the pick it see magic isn't go say something that he believes isn't true, if Kobe was doing that, and he said, then he believes that's what happened it again. If magic isn't gonna say something that's not true. Okay, if he said something about Coby manipulating the situation, then he must believe that is true that he was doing those things, but he didn't say that's what I'm saying. So we never said anything because he probably doesn't believe that. That's what it is. Or he's just you know what I know what it is. I'm not gonna mess with it anymore. I'm gonna walk away from this. I'm not gonna lie. To me because you've walked away from guys. I don't need to tell you what my problem with you is not exactly hundred percent. But I don't think Koby would stoop that low to try to try to. I dunno manipulate around backstab magic for the sake of rob Pelinka, right? I mean, why would you because because you gotta think these are two of the top to the pinnacles of professional sports what they do. Insist doesn't doesn't add that part of it done that I agree. Just doesn't add up that part of it doesn't add up. But I keep coming back to this do, I think that's what's going to probably not. I don't think that first of all has Coby Bryan ever, talked to a rob Pelinka in June, blessed, the state and the Lakers, of course he has. But the and that's not the issue. The issue is he's not just having a hey, you know what I was thinking. What about this? It's I'm running it, but I'm running it secretly. I don't know if that's the problem with this is such a weird the way that the Lakers blew up was so odd the way that they turned on each other was so odd the fact that he's denying being a practice when Lin Stevenson really has no incentive to make that up out of thin air. That's weird. No, I don't think he, I don't think he made it up. I just think that there's a piece to this that we don't know what I'm saying. He made it all just came out one day. Kobe was I practice. No. I think so he was asked a question. He acid it got back to Kobe in much. Like you say Kobe was like, no I'm not I'm not in practice in. He went to say I've never been instead of probably saying I've only been a couple times been once I don't go all the time because clearly he's been to practice. I mean come on professional athletes. Don't stay away from the facility ever. Your coach Bryan doesn't stop right there, because I go by USC from New York stopped by the jets from the Tampa stop by the facility and seated Cowboys and Dallas attempts. Why lie about it, if that's what's happening? Why go out of your way to say that's not what's happening? If it is happening because you're Kobe shows a president go. Oh, cool. And that's about it. So why what there's a piece to this that we don't know. And that's what's interesting is what don't we know. I don't know what you don't know. That's what I wanna know. I wanna know what we don't know..

"With the late late show last night. James corden had Coby Bryan on the basketball player, and they played spill your guts or fill your guts where you either answer a question that you really don't want to answer or you eat something disgusting like a cow's tongue. So Colby had a cow's tongue in front of him. Or he had to answer who's the best basketball player himself Koby Bryant, Michael Jordan or LeBron James. Here's how he is. Michael second bed.

"It's flip of a coin that will determine getting Askins or Rosen doesn't guarantee a successful era, but coming out of this raft with no quarterback would no blue Chipper because rose wasn't Chipper Haskins is a blue Chipper would be the total opposite. And right now, I think Haskins is an under value prospect because of all the conversation surrounding Cuyler Murray at the end of the college football season. I thought Wayne Haskins would be the guy teams would be trying to trade up to number one to get. Now, we're saying could he he's not going to be I quarterback taking could he be there at six that would be even at four or five enormous value giving the player that I think he is Kenny thanks for joining us. Hoping Bryant knows how to fix the Lakers. That's next six. Six I. I. Moved over to epithets one is NASCAR finest battled out. Martinsville all starts at two eastern. Only on one in the sports Jackson's a phony do now. Funny, funny cries group back here at Stephen Jackson, talking Lakers, specifically, they're young guys will be forced back into trade. Rumors the second summer begins. Coby Bryan was asked by Spanish website, if the team should move these guys for Anthony Davis. Here's what he said translated into English Kouzmin. Lonzo Ingram are the three of them better than Anthony Davis. No show by Anthony Davis is one of the best players in the world experiments vanish not currently in history. What are we talking about? If you can trade for Anthony Davis. You do it. If not are we have three players who are very young and work hard. They're smart and they have to develop, but if you can trade for Anthony Davis. Yes. Art, Stephen, I translated I'll really quickly in my head is Kobe, right? This is why love him this about winning. I don't care who wanna roster. I don't want to miss about winning. And that's always been my firmness. Why always separate him from nebr- on his attitude win? His his will to win is is just you can't compare him to anybody. And the way approach the game the way he's saying that anybody can go read it's about winning is a love it. I love it. I love because that's Colby. You know, what he going to bring and that attitude lesser noted this about winning. It's not about nobody else. But went and I love it. It's one hundred percent cracked, and it's why I understand that for magic or for LeBron the way they went about the Anthony Davis rumors publicly the criticism because it clearly hit the young players certain way. But they weren't wrong in any of it. Of course, the Lakers should've said who who do you want anybody you want other than LeBron for Anthony Davis will make it work it? Anthony Davis is C said earlier he could be in the discussion next year for best player in the league. He is a consensus unanimous top seven guide there's seven guys better than everybody else. He's one of them. And so what he would be is the best teammate. Lebron has had. Into since the first year with the weight since the second year with kyri or maybe the better than ever. So. On the board and d- wait at that time was unbelievable and Cairo was coming into his own as a great player and could be the best of all of them. So of course, it's not like any of those young guys are sure things you're not talking about Luca Danni at you're not talking about trae young. You're not talking about a guy who was like man, it's going to suck. Because we know this guy is going to be an all star could those guys turnover to be sure. But who's with this year?.

"Things dealings business all kinds of things still out here, but are bereft of the capacity. And the knowledge or to know how apologies work I feel like apologies were with something that we were introduced to very very early in life. Like, you know, when someone does something to you, or when you have been wrong, we've been told that, you know, apologizing is just next steps the next step. You know, this is something that we it suggests that, you know, a person is remorseful repentant or they wish that they had not done. You know, whatever it was that hurt or offended you. But here we are in twenty eighteen and there's just I'm just baffled every day by men and women who have no idea how policies actually work, and I feel like we've talked about this time and time again, evidently bears repeating so. Now, if if someone has done something to you that is offensive or if you'd like I said, you've offended someone then you absolutely should apologize. Absolutely. When when you've heard or offended, someone you love, you should apologize. However, you cannot demand that you apology be heard or accepted or received. Or that? You're you you will be forgiven because you've apologize. Whether it be ten times, whether it'd be a hundred ninety eight times or whether you have whether your apology was been giving in private or public grand gesture like having thousand flowers wheeled out onto a stage to spell out. You know, your sentiments it does not matter in the way. But but you have to acknowledge that your apology does not absolve you from the responsibility of your actions, and I feel like we have said that so many times, but most of the time if I say that I could go tomorrow, I could go tomorrow and bust into the experts avenue and still all of the day. I can run through with a garbage bag and literally just take the bags and just place them, and I can go and get put if I get to my car, I can get in my car and drive away. And if I get caught I can go back to access avenue and apologize. But I am still responsible for breaking the law and the same rules apply. And when it comes to relationships, and I'm very tired. I am weary of this. This. This notion, this expectation, this this mindset and ideology that women. Our support like when women forgive. You know for infidelity or abuse. That is a sign of loyalty, right? Or that you know, I've just been I've just been costed costed on my Instagram feed by this hashtag fight for love business. Oh, no. Where literally it's been persons either who have been either victims, or you know. Active participants and infidelity saying that, you know, marriage is hard and marriage is tough. And you gotta fight for your love. And I get it. 'cause you know, everybody who got a brain knows that marriage is not easy, right? Anybody who has ever been in a relationship has got to know that marriage is not easy. So I get that. But the good fighting for love does not suggest that I'm going to allow you to treat me poorly and put me in my body, and my life and my child, and my resources, and my money, and my my credit, you don't give to put those things in my child, my money and my child in my man, you don't get those things. Compromise. Endanger like, you don't get to do that. And I don't care. How are you? Are you over if taking responsibility for your actions means that I can forgive you? But that does not mean that I have to talk to you. I can continue to love you 'cause unconditional love does not always me unconditional romantic love. I'm not gonna say that Cardi doesn't love offset. I'm sure she does he fathered her only child. Right. But you said that exactly. But that does not mean that she needs to be in partnership with him. She needs to be married to him. Yes. They have to co parent. But that does not mean that if she does not want to be in a marriage with offset that she is not loyal because where was all of this grace and compassion in values about marriage the institution of marriage when offset was cheating. When was that? I mean, we can compare Cardi and offset to. Coby Bryan Vanessa and a Nico and Kevin Hart, and I'm not here to to. Listen, everybody's grown. You can make your own decisions..

"Put that bacon on three combo. Let me, you know. What all I want to say about. Okay. See or Russell Westbrook team is that they play greater than some of its parts. I mean, that's what would you say, you're smarter. Like, he has it and he can enable Paul George and others get it. But it just seems like they're a little less. I when you have a weapon like Russell Westbrook. I think their their biggest thing is the find the parts around him to work with him. Just like Alan Iverson case the way they went to the finals and had a chance to win a championship against the Lakers. They found the parts that work best around him because he was such a dynamic force. Yes. Didn't pass the ball with the best of them. But he could score. And he could put a lot of pressure on defenses. And he in Russia's in that same set of a guard who puts pressure on defenses, and you have to find guys that complement him. And they're they're trying to find the right mix of guys to complement and make up for his deficient. And let me move to Lonzo ball. Let's move to the staple center. Boy Coby Bryan was sitting courtside. The Lakers got there. First. Home win of the year. Lebron dropped a triple double. And Lonzo ball made some big plays, including a huge step back. Three down the stretch till seal the game. I gotta admit lonzo's playing better and looks like a legitimate NBA player to me and looks like he should be starting to head of rage on Rondo where you dragging your tone right now as you're gonna dog in this race laws. I'm like, I'm like to be proven, right? And I was somebody that thought Lonzo would be a flop, and I got to eat my words here. And you know, you gotta chew a little slowly when you know. So then Lonzo look through good digest that mos-. I if we were right 'cause you're talking about my boy, man, I told you off from day one. This dude had a all time historical campaign as a rookie except one glaring issue this shooting efficiency. So you. Is a big one as a rookie many great that took time to actually evolved as shooters do understand. Sell it in whatever her what I'd nickname. Lonzo shot. George Gervin head the finger roll last year, Lonzo introduced the fingers crossed. He was shooting across the Rangers. And hope it went in. That was not a small problem. Here Papa rate. Respect to this E F forgotten the greatness of 'em. So for all the haters out. There named Jason Whitlock. Lonzo ball went out there yesterday reminded us a what he did in college. This shot is back to step back three when Lonzo brings this to his game. When this is a part of his equation, everything else is they're five steals last night. He's a great guard rebounded the guy sees the court pace of play. There's nothing wrong with the guy if he can continue to do what he's already shown us in the past. I agree with you that Lonzo was looking like a starting point guard. But there are a couple of things in question. Number one. Pops is taken a step back in loud, his talent to speak for himself. And we haven't seen big, yes. And his son to concentrate and disseminate to my new show of basketball like he's he's able to play confident and go out there and let us play speak for it. So then the competent the combination of the Lakers experiment, right? Now with bringing regime Rondo in and creating competition in practice and giving him something to strive for by competing his regime, Rondo has made him better. Now, he's more aggressive now, he's concentrated defensive. I think that's come from practicing against a champion and regime Rondo, but if Lonzo is the starter that makes them a better basketball team because there is no backup point guard, better invasion on Rondo. And I think that is a good sacrifice for the team. They're working. He brings the necessary. Energy to start the games. Lonzo was out there defending Bron had a great comment about Lonzo. Like, we take time. And we always dissect in the kid and tell them what he's not doing and how he's not shooting the ball. But can we take the time to see what he is doing? He's defending. Well, he's making great decisions he's bringing energy and he's taken up shots. And and he's playing with confidence. He's attacking the basket..

I'm not condemning him for it because he plays such high level offense, and he plays so many led the league in minutes, so yeah, sacrifice to the other. Right. So what trend last not went to the top of the US trends immediately when this game ended Coby Bryan or just Koby. And why was that? Because a lot of die-hards Laker nation or saying Kobe would have stepped up and made those free throws. I would have to your point. That's not the shot. Try to get. You wouldn't try to get fouled, but if he had remember they just fouled him intentionally at that. Right. So if Kobe had been fouled intentionally, do I believe he'd step up those? I do. I do. It's hard for me to believe that in twenty years Kobe. Bryant has been five every time he's. Shot in that situation? Well, hard for me to believe you don't believe any the skill. Well, maybe there's some mythology involved there, but these hang onto Kobe, Bryant. Area, but they're going to hang on. And yet in the end. It was a tale of two games in the Lakers just should've closed this deal. Somebody. I don't know where like Kaku Sma was out of his mind most of the game, and then for five minutes and the overtime, he takes one shot and missed it. I thought he would be the takeover guy in at some point. He may become there sort of closer where you just green light. That's what and that's what I thought initially skip. I thought roms going to wreck the traffic defense kick over to to Kouzmin, but hey, look, he put them -sition to go to overtime. I had no problem taking that shot just informed because he paid them, but he passed passed drove kick the coons. He did a big play at the rate that would Rhonda. Two dozen. I mean, do they get the win? And Phoenix. If they don't get the win, a Phoenix really. Up last night at Golden State, and I looked up in Golden State was a head of Phoenix seventy two forty. "Back and come into it. So there's no secret. He's not a good free, throw shooter. He's had some seasons where he's good clip, but look at the end of the game. I understand what you're saying skip. Should he had drove just like Rudy gay, can't guard them, but the, but the promise give it was saying, Luke Walton LeBron James, he didn't say this in the scrum, but he was very adamant about wouldn't get the found in the foul call and it may be the case, but I would trust LeBron drive in the basketball and one that one because he's that good. He's that much better than Rudy gate in the help side defender over that I was Brin Forbes, who's in like zero three skinny, and there's no way he's going to help on the Bron enough. So so to me, it was the classic case he had just missed too. So as you. Enter drive the basketball to? No, he's not going to drive the basketball. So he pulls up and takes his shot that over his crew, he's a thirty two percent shooter from the left side from three. It's not a bad shot. It's not a great shot. He's kind of fall inside with his shot. It's kind of shot in and yet to his credit. He he made the first one. It was maybe thirty feet at the regulation after getting hitting I okay. But I told Shannon, sometimes he's better that way because it's like, oh, I got hit in the I. I'm just going to shoot conviction. I'm not sure. I don't know. Sometimes eating the last shot we conviction I for me, I don't know how he thinks that. Look, if his late in the ball game, I drop a pass. I hopefully the quarterback of the coach had lost confidence in meaning throat me another believe, even though I dropped down, I'm gonna make this case this one, and I believe the Broncos the same way, but noted they're very few times that when it comes to the last second that he drives the basketball. Yeah, he's more apt to pull up. Yeah, because he doesn't trust himself from the line and I don't blame him. I'm like, passed it even Coby Bryan. He will take that jumper most most star players that ended the game. They don't trust because the ref don't want to blow with. They don't to be the judge over all All the the reason reason. we go hang wrong. So the Cup of the best laws, they typically get to their rhythm shots and take what fadeaway or jump jump shot. "So we all agree without drawing larger conclusions that he was at a time where his image was in danger, right? No, no, no, no. I'm saying in terms of and terms of the stuff that didn't become public that there was seniors to personal life that could have. Okay. So so in a sense he in retrospect, twenty years later but have ceased to become no exact my that we all know. But his career would have been five one. No, but in nineteen ninety-five, Michael Jordan releases the greatest press release in the history of press release. Two words. I'm back literally the whole world belts down with happiness. All they wanted was for him to be back. And like when he came back, it was like, it was so huge. Everyone was still worshipping at the feet of Michael Jordan and you let me off her my hypothesis which doesn't a gate what you just said. I mean, it was yes. Go on, okay, gambling. Stuff swirling around, right. They go, hey, maybe step away for a little bit. Uh-huh. So much of his image is based in him as a spokesperson that he can't totally disappear off the grid for a little time. So it's like, right, so it's like let me move to a different sport running, stay in the news cycle be discussed in this kind of way. Try to get my life back together, a little more clean it up. So I come back to basketball when I come back to basketball, people are going to be twice as excited as when I was previously planned possible that you know also I would like to just I'm not saying this is accurate, but to put out the narrative. The most generous narrative possible, Michael Jordan. This is someone who you know, did not have was successful as a player, but did not have a lot of postseason success early on in his career. They never beat the pistons, right? He is a fanatic. Of course, doesn't sleep at that time. I say Tom Marrs. Yeah. The bad boys. Say, man, Rodman was definitely on was grant grant. Yes, grants? Yes. No Grant Hill that was great. Yes. Shirt. The finding finally, right in ninety one breaks through the pistons. Finally, he, he gets the mountaintop wins the title we all know this. David. I can just keep winning titles and then his dad dies, and it's just like, you know what? Maybe he knows all this is one possible. Maybe it goes along. If I if I keep going now I'm not going to be able to hit my level because at up just competing with yourself, he do time say his dad's murder was part of it. And then later I have a little bit of gambling can give you go on competing with yourself and you competing with history? Yes, he's got to be a ten all the time. There's a canny bit of brand management here in terms of making sure he retains his value. Is it maybe took Coby Bryan about six months after he possibly raped a woman back in ads and yes, you'd be top then he is was not Michael Jordan as much as he close enough. Emulated, Michael Jordan. He was not Michael Jordan. I think the big thing was they didn't even want things getting out. I think he, I think he saved a haircut, no pun intended, Mckee, saved any so. Crumbled. I mean, he was famous for their so many stories, and there's about to be this ESPN serve OJ Simpson in the style of the OJ. Simpson thing like ten hour documentary about Gordon, I imagine is going to apparently has full access to him and we'll maybe delve a little more into this stuff with Hitler. My second one hours just on the Hitler mustache. Yeah, but like NBA players, play cards all the time, especially on the planes. They like to play cards. And if you play cards with him, he would just be like mercilus like there was just no friendliness. He just wanted to annihilate every it for, you know, in the context of this film, he's also famous for having ruin Muggsy Bogues jump shot once calling him a midget as was about to shoot and muggy and wanna shoot baseball. The bidding. These nice. Done shooting that scared me so much..

Happy birthday, Coby Coby Bryan days. I mean, guys got everything right now. Dealing stock in coke and body armor. What else can you give this guy? He hasn't already gotten. Would you give you'll go on a shopping for Kobe's birthday gift today? Would you get in key? You have good taste, you know what? You know what a millionaire. I know. I don't know what I would get Kobe Bryant. I mean, like you said he has everything and I'm the type of guy on anything. So yeah, I don't know. Koby some sort of adventure l z. Yeah, I will give him my time your time my time just. Take him at the lunch or something because when you get any material thing, you have to think about the other things and what's more precious than time me and George gave them some Cuban cigars. That's That's right. right. Cuba. Probably could move closer to the house. Yeah, right. Getting some that you can enjoy. What was your best Koby moment as we've been doing this for his fortieth birthday. I have to do. Somebody from Sean prints, guarded. Pistons, one was the reverse donkey had against the Spurs. That was just whenever I close my eyes. I could just see his wings flying the ball. So so I was like, how did he do that? And then the other one that I saw on television. This one I was in the stadium for in the arena for the all star game Jordan's last all star game. Jordan. His baseline jumper against a sham Marian that puts his team the east up to for the victory and a game, and everyone's erupting. We're excited because we like Jordan, does it again? You know, he's a wizard. We like, here's the game when it shot. Again, Kobe gives the ball come through the court. Now you think anyone else would look at that moment. Go as Jordan's moment is his last one that happened Koby like dog I'm outta tied his came up and he goes jaws a file tax game up in west goes on, win the game by going Dame, you can you lead join? Had. This one moment like that's Mamba that's Koby I get it. Everybody wants Jordan had a storybook any doubt. Not on my watch. Yeah. He was a spoiler and key yours. He anything. He did impress, you know anything, key quiet. It was two one was when a shot the the first one was when we were flying Oregon at the told you the story before we're flying Oregon, and we're on the private jet, and we're talking sign stuff in this whole deal. We're both young rookies in the league. He's seventeen eighteen and I'm fresh out of college. So we we had a couple hundred items by so Koby sign and I'm like, damn, he's done already because I was signing my first and last name. Keyshawn Johnson, my number everything. He was just going Kobe, eight coach. So he's done. He's like, man. If you learn how to sign your signature, you'll be done much faster. I'm like, oh yeah. So now since then only signed quiche. But he taught me something because you know he had been practicing. He was practicing for years. Yeah. So the second one is the commercial I did on the media school training with Stuart, Scott and sportscenter for sportscenter are rookie years. It was so funny because we both to rookies learning and media training with Stuart, Scott and Kinney main. And they were like Cussing at us and we're supposed to repeat. I think we have that clip. What are you gonna say Say to. to look in the game is to Jordan up. School. Official blows the call. You guys lose the game. You know you were in after the game. "Got some moments, but like dropping eighty one on the on the raptors like sick dude. Like I think that's what I like the things that people like about. Kobe, like ninety nine in the top ten most impressive things about Kobe, correct. Like when the Olympics when LeBron was clearly the better NBA player. But like into the game, they were going to Kobe much cool with him scoring a worthless eighty. One points. I think the sixty two and three quarters was better than the eighty one point right. Him like the run where he was just going forty at will. That's more impressive. Like he's get so much more stuff. But yeah, but he read time, he shot it over four defenders over the backboard win. Remember the previous seventy miss. Probably. I mean, we both have them had a Pippen. We both have had a Wade. Probably the Alta, like that's the thing he is the all time. Number two guy. He just doesn't know it. And if he was wilted willing to like really accept it, he probably be high on this list probably like eight rain. Well, haven't shackling of blown up. They, that's the other part too. And like when shack leff it's not like the, it wasn't like Scotty, Pippin, like it wasn't the Lakers just stayed like all good top like no fucking stunk. What do you wanna do? Most Parker, I dunno not run away. The great teammates plays with about that. So, yeah, I mean, Kobe covered in warts, but all things considered. Yes. One of the all time greats no doubt and one of the. Like top three shooting guard of all time because guy, thank we're going to get well guide. We're going to get to who I've always called shooting guard. I don't think anyone else does, but neither here nor there ain't their list. It's correct. Yeah, allow you carry over Kobe every day of the week. I have no problem doing that. I don't like the thing that put him over like Dirk anchor was the defense like he's like, twelve all defensive teams around those of nanna. Those first team, how many, how in he made one, you may want to twenty twelve when he was thirty three years old, which is just absurd. But again, I not knock on him. He didn't vote for himself, but he didn't put himself there. He might have put a black mom in every voters. It's came along. And during the finals with the when they played Orlando member. What year that Lebanon. Oh, it was the first one like Rashard Lewis killed in game two in the next game. Kobus like I got him and he didn't touch the ball. So I was like, okay, if you can do that in the finals again, that's a foot taller than you in his like in zone right now, you still got. He's still had the the defense in them and yet twelve. I think he's he's tied for second all time for most all defensive teams every style Garnett. But God defense, Tyler. I don't know how many times we have to say. He started in the nineties man. I feel like it was at least seven, eight percent back then. Yeah, but you just referenced nine so couldn't must be like three then. To check the basketball reference to get it somewhere, how much guide, defense matter and giving you. I would love to see those numbers like to other things, he made the all star as a six man, which is just dope. And like when he did the between the legs, it was like the Bishop anybody ever seen right now. It wouldn't give four. I, I go back and forth that some done contests like the the worst ever gets a fifty. Yeah, we've gotta have some props. He also I was gonna say he also he had that dunk in an Adidas commercial where he just put his whole body sideways where it was like almost parallel with the rim is always cool as hell. To me, that's the. That's the part that bothers me. The most Kobe could have been one of the coolest guys of all time to agree his yet. Great commercials to, yeah, if his fans weren't such dorks and if he wasn't such a legitimate psychopath, he would have been significantly cooler, get great name. Tremendous name. Oh, yeah. Coby Bryan alone. I, it's another little flying warrior cooler than Kobe. Just not. I'm sorry, but then you, it's like you hear about how like the lower Mariam practices, somebody would beat him..
