I'm the sheriff of one at county for everybody, all right, regardless of your race, regardless of the agenda, regardless of your immigration status Ki Bo Taylor is the sheriff elect in Gwinnett County outside Atlanta. He's a Democrat and the first black man ever elected to the job. Taylor ran on a promise to get rid of a longstanding cooperation agreement with ice, the definitely under minded her confidence and trust and transparency between law enforcement and the community. Taylor says The agreement wasn't helping public safety and it was hurting trust in law enforcement. In a county where more than one in four residents was born outside the U. S. He's pledged to get rid of it on day one. That is correct. That is my plan. Yes, it is. The 2020 election is expected to usher in a major shift in immigration enforcement. On the federal level. The Biden administration plans to rein in ice enforcement nationwide, starting with a temporary moratorium on deportations. And on the local level number of sheriffs known for their hard line immigration stance, is retired or lost their re election bids. Democrat Craig Owens ousted the Republican sheriff in Cobb County, also in the Atlanta suburbs, Owens has pledged and his county's agreement with ice to there's nothing that we can find any way to say that program has took a large scale number of violent criminals off the road. Church in spartanburg south carolina and today shelley has an incredibly encouraging and life greeting conversation with her as they talk about life in the spotlight pouring into others and how to leverage ministry on and off the stage. So here is shelly. Gig leo with tasha cobbs leonard. Hi tasha i are you. I'm literally so thrilled to be talking to you. How are you today. i'm doing really well good to to you today thank you. It's my greatest joy always to talk to. You brings such joy to my life. So thank you for saying yes absolutely and thank you for friendship. Tell me what's going on today. Where are you are you at home. yes we're home. kimmy is right here. Recording me kenny. I just was thinking this morning as we were preparing to talk about how much activity we've gotten to have in life just sporadically along the way. But i was thinking about the moment in particular where you were standing on our stage at passion city recording and literally i started reliving the powerful moments that we stood in together and i got tears in my eyes i just kept saying to god over and over. Thank you god. Well i cannot believe we got to do this together. So well how special is gone. You know what. I started thinking back through those moments as you were just speaking Just for one to be able to do ministry and to inspire people to spread. The gospel of jesus christ is phenomenal. I mean wrestling honor. Yes yes such a privilege yes but to do it alongside people that you love people that you share life with you know outside of that those stage moments. We have the opportunity to have a friendship. You know where we when we come together. The bible talks about when the chair been faced one another. That's where the mercy seat is created. And i think we face one another those moments on the platform you know so to have opportunities to share together and then come together and worship is just you know i can't explain it. It's awesome well. It's the way. God intended it but i think sometimes even with ministry i'm instead of bringing us together at pulls us apart. You know the schedule pulls us apart the the Even our commitment sometimes feels like it can be so isolating And i think one of the greatest privileges as when you see. That's not god's intent at all so true. God's intent for us to stand in moments together in the unity of that as where the beauty unfold and we're meant to share it and sometimes i think the very thing that we feel called to do like the thing that separates us and it's hard for me to fathom how we've kinda gotten it to that point but i think when we have moments like we share together we can feel the camaraderie and the spiritual growth shared in space. That was intended to be that way from the very beginning. That is so strong. It's so true I think a lot of times. We don't well up until now we. We didn't take the time to stop with. Our lives were so cluttered that we didn't stop to think about shared these moments with other people. And and i mean even a little more intimate with our our families you know sometimes ministry a lotta times. You've pk growing up. And so though my parents they are very intentional about family time. Sometimes it's so easy to get caught up in the clutter of ministry letter of work That you forget. Hey let's just hang out with the kids. let's go outside. I saw you the other day on your instagram. You guys were outside fiasco just playing games. And sometimes we forget about those moments that they are just as important as the moment standing up leading setting up teaching those family. Moments are just as important. And god's given us a stewardship. You kenny do that well you have. You know that your stewardship is is as much if not more to your family than it is to. Every other person in the world absolutely. And that's a priority that god has set into motion for our lives and the overflow is where everyone else gets touched so true. It's so good. And when invert that or or i guess message up which we have a tendency to do. I know i do all speak for me. Yeah then god. I think god has to withdraw some of the favor that he's intended for our lives. Because it's like you're not really stewarding when i gave you a steward you're too interested in trying to get a platform so that you can produce something out to the rest of the world and i feel like with you and kenny that i can feel your priorities all that so awesome and what it does it gives it power so true and even with one another and in the marital relationship we call it. The ministry of marriage Just a few weeks ago we were. We took a vacation. Prado is thinking. Hey we gotta get away. If it's just a week you know so. We can look each other in the face. You know talk communicate you know have those conversations that we need is so necessary for minister even in pastoral leadership or any form of leadership. You have to make sure that your house is in order before you lead others so i. I totally agree. I think this is something that everyone who hears needs to take a moment. And just say how. Been to my family you know. What's my position there right. What's my priority checklists looking.

The Franchise Show is coming to Atlanta

"Are listening is because you are here. Richard is here because he's coming to Atlanta. On November 21st. You can see him in person. You're going to be at the franchise show. Which is going to be at the Cobb Galleria Center. It's going to be live you, khun go. That's going to be social distancing. There'll be other safety precautions in effect, but the franchise show is November 21st and 22nd. And ah to show where you could tell me more about the franchise show. Well, basically, you know, there's going to be all types of Franchising available there to peruse and find out if it's something that maybe you want to get into. I specifically I'm going to be Representing service to surface. Keith, who started that company is a good friend of mine. And so I've decided to, uh, kind of get into business with him a little bit. We used his products and his services. Our garage re had probably guessed 12 15 times and I got to know him as a person. He's a great guy. He's you know, got this service to surface business that he's starting franchise, and it's doing really well. I think the trick to it is it's all different types of fourth floor servicing. You know if you want to stay in it if you want, Teo Stamp it if you want, Teo put down the poxy codings and all that kind of stuff, And what makes him a little bit different is he also Owns the products themselves and creates those himself. So you know he's not going somewhere and buying someone else's product and put a sticker on the can and calling it Hiss. You know he's researched it and made these products. To be the best that they are in the business, So the surface to surface is something I can put on my garage floor, right? You can use it on anything but definitely the garage floor. We're working on coming out with a kind of a garage. Uh, surface kit for the do it yourself at home. That you know where they have 23 or four car garage that everything comes in one kid that they could basically resurface the garage floor and not only protected but also non skid it in Be able to wipe up any spills. That tells you all you need to know it. Well, it does two things one. They've had a pretty good run pretty good run of quarterbacks here. They have played a good amount of games, right? Like the Mark Sanchez will pop in there now and then. You know who else has been in Mike? Mike McMahon will pop in now and then, But like no guy that they went into a season thinking was their quarterback has played like this. They had. You know, they've had Donovan. They've had Mike Mike Vick. They've had Nick Foles. They've had Sam Bradford. They stopped Kevin cop but didn't play eight. No, but he was there opening. This was open. They started even I saw Cobb was going to be a I don't want. Yeah, I think we have a pretty decent NFL quarterback. The concussions ruined him they had once like they've had for 20 years now. Above average quarterbacks, at least talent wise starting season like the Eagles don't tryout, bad quarterbacks like something's D'oh. They get caught in the spell that draft him bad. The girls have a good track record of having pretty good quarterbacks on the field of battle. What I mean this doesn't happen. This is Doug says Doug was the coach around here. Outlaw says they still need to thoroughly review video, physical evidence, interview eye witnesses and the pair of cops, including what the officers knew at the time that they responded, what was put out by radio and how any previous contact with Mr Wallace factored into what happened, she says in Chaos and arrest that followed. 30 police officers were injured, most it with bricks, rocks and other projectiles. One officer remains hospitalized at the broken leg after being, she says, intentionally hit by a car in the coming days, Outlaw says, will decide whether to release body cam footage of the incident or any other details about the investigation.
