"You. What did you learn from him? What was your biggest takeaway from your time with him? You know, the biggest thing for for for us and me What we learned from Coach Taylor is he really took pride turning young boys. Into young men. And just be the fundamental pieces of how to be a man. How to conduct yourself. I'll never forget we used to, you know, we used to wear certain type of travel. And at that time we were like we put on church clothes. Are we doing this? On D. He taught us all how to tie a time He taught us all you know why it was, you know the right thing to walk with your head high and show your two of discipline is so classy. And those from the metal pieces I still carry with me every day of my life. Um, and again, we walked in there. We didn't know what we didn't know. And he taught us those things and those fundamental pieces have stuck with us. Me. My players, teammates, um, the rest of our lives. We're talking to Marshall Head football coach Charlotte's huff. You know, he said something else about you. Did. I thought the praise was really, really high quote. Some people just got it. And Charles is one of those guys everything that it takes to be successful. He had no problem doing the early morning. Get up the weight room coming back late. Gotta test the next day. His parents didn't outstanding job raising him because he's a first class guy. I'm super proud and a quote. That's extremely high praise. I'm curious where that mindset And knowledge on what it took to be successful. How much of that? Did you get from him? And how much of that came from something else? Maybe your parents? Yeah. You know, I was blessed enough to be raised by my mom and my dad, you know, so My dad was hard on us discipline was very important doing the right thing. Because the right things always the right thing. Treating people the right way. Understanding that you gotta work harder than the next man. In order for you to get what you want on by Mom was big on faith, Regardless of how late game you had on Sarah, or what you thought you were doing on Sarah's. You will go to Sunday school Sunday. And and just that simple understanding of their arm or things are important in what you want to do. It's about how you do them. We talked to Charles. Off course you're coming to Marshall from Alabama. What about your time with Nick Saving? I mean, obviously, you're gonna take a little something from everybody you work with and work for and work alongside. What about Nick's Saving? Where'd you learn from him? Yeah, I tell people all the time Coach Saving, um has probably changed my life. The most, um he taught me or has taught me that consistency in your approach. Is the key to success. You set your plan. You have a plan and you stay consistent and the details and the choices and decisions that you make on a daily basis. Are the things that are going to separate you on de everybody, can you No can pretty much agreed that he is the master of consistency and whether we want to gain by 60 or we came up short. It was the exact same approach. It was the exact same message. We went right back to work the next day, and we approached every game like it was the only game on the schedule. One play at a time for 60 minutes. Andre. That's something that I'm going to be carrying with me for a very long time. I think that is the best explanation of these so called saving process that I've ever heard. That was perfectly stated. So you know the thinking the past is that when somebody has a head coaching job, it probably means you're walking into a situation that needs a lot of help. But in your case, you're walking into a program that's been 1/4 straight ball games. So how do you go about building on that? And what is the next step look like for this program. You know, that's perfect. You know, I had my first team meeting last night. On guy told those guys. You know, this is not a rebuild like you said This is not, you know, coming into a one in nine program and we got to start from the bottom. I told these guys, this is this I am here to win now, and what I am here to do is help them get six inches better. They came up close in the championship game came up close and a few other games of the season and we're trying to improve six inches when you were an elite at whatever you do you look at LeBron James, Stefan Curry, Michael Jordan. Those players work all year long to get just a little bit better. LeBron James is not going to make leaps and bounds and his skill set But he's trying to get a little bit better so that maybe he gets two more points in the big game. Or maybe he placed two more minutes because his condition improves. And that's what I told those guys were trying to get six inches better, but we gotta work all year just for those six inches. And that that small movement an improvement is in the details. Talking to Charles offhand behind the line, Not on the line right in your shirt and finishing through the line not to delight going to class five minutes early. I don't time It's a mentality. It's a lifestyle so top to bottom. What is a Charles Huff Marshall football team going to look like? Yeah, we're gonna be physical. We're gonna be fast. We're gonna be aggressive. We're going to play one play at a time for 60 minutes with a focus and intensity that our opponents cannot match. At the end of the game. We want teams to say, I don't want to play that team again. They play with unbelievable self discipline and their competitive spirit. Is unmatchable, regardless of the scoreboard. They were up 60 and they were still trying to score. I don't wanna play them again. Damn, coach put me in. I mean, like, I've got no ability. Not much size. I'm a 50 something year old man, but put me and I'm ready to play way could find a spot for you. We'll run you out of all the other.

"The space. Kyle chandler space. I loved it. did you call the twist. Yes in no no. We'll let me explain. I do it's gonna spoil it so if you haven't seen them at night scott before you do that. Let's just really brought. It is read the synopsis. Yeah the midnight. Sky this post apocalyptic tale follows augustine a lonely scientists in the arctic as he races the stopped sully and her fellow astronauts from returning home to mysterious global catastrophe. The midnight sky so basically. What's happening is it. Looks like we bombed the world to shit and everyone's dying. George clooney lives in a bunker in the north pole basically and he's dying as well and in the bunker. They have like a huge antenna. It's like a scientific research station and he's trying to contact the one spaceship that went to like one of jupiter's moons saturn's moons that we think that could support jupiter's moons we think could support life and he's trying to tell them hey motherfuckers earth's fucked stating they'll come hall. Yeah that's basically it. It's so good okay. So now if people want to act cast like coach taylor yes felicity. Jones love her Obviously loved it was just so good. Yeah okay so now. If you want to spoiler alert you haven't seen this skip ahead two minutes map. I definitely caught onto the fact that he was imagining the girl i felt like he was like manifesting that from being alone going crazy but i did not make the connection that the girl was felicity jones as a kid. Yeah we were trying to figure it out in the beginning and then the moment that we figured it out was when they were trying to make baby names for felicity jones kid and coach taylor says like hibiscus or something or like some ridiculous flowers like. What's the flower. then you're like. Oh they're obviously flower names. Her name's little. Kids aims irs. okay. Sarah called a little earlier than once i once. I heard that i was like damn. You're right you don't lot of people are saying it's boring. And i i can see where they're coming from it but i said i really enjoyed it. I mean it's not a fast paced thriller by any means. You know what i mean. It's it's more like it's more about the characters and the acting and the beautiful like you know. Cgi of space. I feel like the visual aspect of it more than anything. But i loved it so much. So here's my only gripe with the movie okay. So coach taylor. And the other russian astronauts they'd see a picture of the earth and it looks like someone had taco farts like a giant had taco farts and completely engulfed the entire earth with just the green taco far of death. Okay and they know that that should sparked up and they take the little rescue vehicle to go down to earth. We're felicity jones and the husband go back to the one frequent planet that could support life. Now here's my gripe with coach taylor and the other guy. You're the only two guys that aren't related to be girl. That's growing in her belly if you're going to recreate human life. We're starting fucking with incest weirdos west virginia over again america. Kind of not really. Okay kinda know if this year has taught us anything. Good that america has not turned out. Okay you're right. But i had the same thought at the end when it was just them too. I was like. I feel like they should've at least set this up a little better like somebody needed to die for sure but like i don't now yes i will say the midnight sky great. Also you know. We're we're talking about it. Clooney's doing netflix movies. Dude ever do that And by the way that little girl is going to be a huge star for sure she was great first gig by the way really looked it up. Dan persky with clooney bad. We watched wonder woman. How does that You know. I just thought it was kind of cheesy And i didn't want to think that. Because i really love gather dell. I really liked the first one. I really did. Yeah and you know. Chris pine my favorite christmas and do chris. He's hilarious. But by the way chris pine can we get another star. Trek was a big fan of chris. Pine star trek same same same anyways. So here's the problem. Is that because it takes place but in nineteen four chris. Pine has to be dead because he's not amazonian woman that lives forever right so they had to make some sort of weird shit to figure out a way to get him back in the movie. That right there is where you kind of lose me. It effectively is a latin. With wonder woman that makes any sense. Yeah the guy who plays the mandalorian pedro. Pascal figures out a way to basically turned himself into robin williams for milan becomes the genie. And that's where. He lost the amazonian women. Who can she can fly. And she's got a a whip that makes you tell the truth and she can use that whipped of fucking spiderman all over the city and fly around be luzia ginny. So i don't know but i will say this on. Hbo max have to go to the theater. So pretty good okay. you know. See midnight sky. Before i see one woman. Yeah you guys have seen it though now. Well of space. Have you seen the challenger documentary. Nobody had been wanting to watch. It was really good. Oh it's also sad now has called challenger the final flight for part docu series in the nineteen eighty-six challenger space shuttle disaster unpacking indelible moment for a generation of americans for those of you that were old enough to remember this. I was barely old enough to remember it. But like i remember kind of like a couple years afterwards but people talking about it back in the day we had space shuttle flights and there was one where they put a teacher in the fucking rocket. And they're like this. The first time. I could surrender. Person goes up into space and they chose a teacher because they were going to have the teacher like do lessons up in space and kids are gonna watch it make this whole thing and then it exploded as it went up in the air and it was like whole thing like the entire nation's watching and so proud and they just watch seven people died was just walked up. So it's all about that it's about their lives and about the astronauts and its celebration of those people but it's also a condemnation of just the bureaucracy that is government space organizations all the money in the pressures that were on these people to make decisions. They've shouldn't have been making an over rings or fucking up in cold weather and yada yada yada and it's just a bunch of like gold white dude's made some very bad decisions for a lot of people in their families..

"I think that a lot of that also boils down to the fact that this is a really great like you said story about identity and what does it mean to be yourself especially when you're removed from someone and from sense of self that was previously you because she was a reflection and now she's on her own again. What does that mean so. I think there's a lot of really great forni complicated beautiful identity stuff in craft reflection that for me makes up for a lot of the kind of not the messiness cult conductor in a lot of ways On top of that we get like you said really great vocal performances especially cold conductor because we agents mason siv voiced respectively by ben mendelsohn and bradley whitford and bradley whitford. Great especially near the end when seve just kind of lose it but mendelssohn is ridiculous from the job on both of them. Guested in Book one but they get a their recurring in a crack crack reflection and mendelssohn is just ridiculously good as he is in pretty much everything of like. It's almost enough to make me watch that netflix show. He was on with coach. Taylor but not quite enough. Because i know that that show is I can't even remember the name of it. That's how what is that show called. It's the one set in the keys. Rate yeah i don't remember. I don't remember that. It got a got Coach taylor Got kyle chandler. Who's emmy though didn't y'all do i think so. Anyway doesn't matter has been mandelson's really really good in this. And i mean that little song. He sings Just yeah it's rough. It's rough But i also like you said like this is a show that's for children that really dives into a lot of really interesting issues that i'm glad that creek flooded on cartoon network where it had potentially the chance to reach a larger audience than it would have if it had just been on. Hbo max so really great stuff. Plus also you know you get restarted as a sentient liquid person and who doesn't love restore a sentient liquid person who also when he's a scheming. Koala as cape found out this year delightful And always welcome a in like live action or in animated form always enjoy reserve Yeah it's it's a terrific show if you haven't watched it yet listeners. Check it out. Minor six is great. Is this on yours. It's just a couple of notches above. So you wanted to discuss it now. We can no. let's stick to the format. 'cause you know me i like a format which you're never five my number five also would further up your la- save it. I'm imagining but i may destroy you. This is the show that stabbed me in the background so my throat but in a good way okay. Yeah more on that in a bit. My number five is harley quinn. The series It's my number four. So let's do this. Let's do. This is because who the hell thought this was going to be good. Hopefully this was good until it was on. Hbo max except i told you good because it was on scifi. Yeah yeah well. I even hearing rumblings about it being good for a while but like you know nobody was like you need to go out and get access the universe right again dc universe for this like people were like if you have these universe you've got to take this out. It's almost good enough to but there wasn't like a sense of urgency with that or maybe there wasn't. I wasn't listening it's very possible. No there was no okay. Yeah okay well because another one that we you know very much enjoyed was doom patrol and i think the combination of How much ended up really enjoying do patrol though. It's not on my list. For this year. And how much i enjoyed harlequin would have really kick things up on the issue. Pay for Dc universe spectrum. Not for swamp thing. Which new p- but kate has just stopped talking about swamping on the on the asked after like dude. It's on my dvr. I've been mostly keeping up with it. But it's just it's just not it's not for me but you know what is for me harley quinn we've we've given play appraise cocoa's for her precinct choices but also her vocal choices as a performer in this is absolutely delightful The it's pretty funny. It's really violent if that is your thing of cartoon. Violence is your thing. There's a lot to appreciate in the animation and there's a lot to appreciate just there twists on these very very familiar characters. It's very popular to decry the loss of originality in storytelling right. Now because there's so much power in just a few corporations who are returning to familiar brands rather than taking a chance on anything new of course. They're taking a chance on those these returning brands. Because who really wants to see a reboot of the home alone movies but they're going to do them and yet When you show like harlequin shows you just how much life there is in returning to familiar characters in a new way or or putting you know engaging with a free standing like mythos or mythology and it's not what i want from every corner of my viewing of my pop culture diet but when it's done well really hilarious and it's really fun and it's really interesting and so the fact that birds afraid was one of the most entertaining and interesting Movies this year. I didn't see very many. But it's still up there and Singing the praises of rosie perez over on a streaming place but of course also great On in vertebrae and then harley quinn is on my in my top five for tv of the year. I mean shows that there's a lot of life in these characters and there's plenty to say that is different about them even at the exact same moment in time so Yeah very funny super on board with this season that we got this year and the parts of last season. We got this year as well Gloves on your list. Glad it's on my list. Yeah no it's. It's an absurdly surprising. Show like my partner. I just put it on Because we like you sort of heard like it was good and then it was like oh no this is. This is very good And then season two dropped at became available outside of dc universe and it was like. Oh this is a whole other level type of thing even though this was all also all cleveland produced roughly at the same time And so i really appreciated the ways in which to your point about the like established p aspect of it is that hurling coins a great vehicle for needling end deconstructing and poking fun at that established. Ip mythos and the show's decision to use characters like doctor psycho who's relatively unknown outside comic book fans Place As wonder woman villain on top of things with with klay face in beautiful beautiful sol Who i think is an original show doesn't matter he's.

"Were told to evacuate. This was all a wall of fire coming up the hill. I could just feel my skin Cyn Gene. That's Glenn Hansen, who stayed behind with his husband to defend their neighborhood. He's standing in front of a home they saved but the effort wasn't without risk way weren't here Houses that you would be here. Couple escaped after they cut a fire line around the home with their tractor and douse the flames with water. Hansen's husband, Mark You killer has walked these same woods since he was a kid. He's seen his fair share of fires. His Bonny Doon home has been in the family since 1975. Over the years, he's learned how to fireproof his property, and so as the fire approached the couple's spring into action. Several days after the fire passed. Coach Taylor and Hanson are patrolling the neighborhood in a fully equipped fire truck they commandeered from a neighbor. On properties still at risk. They're using the firehose let down smoldering areas. The couple says Cal Fire didn't show up to their neighborhood for over two days. And so they felt like they had to stay and fight. I got a hole of the school teacher that we saved your house. And she was just she was so joyful and happy She is crying. It was just like, Wow. You know, we we, uh And if we did that Cal fire has repeatedly warned residents like Cutler and his husband to heed evacuation orders. Officials say they can't protect property if they're being called to rescue people who didn't evacuate. The couple said the risk they took was worth it. They protected 10 homes, although many were destroyed, But for them, it was about more than saving homes. This was a cute little cabin. He saw Lawrie's place that was adorable. I mean, no one's really doing that any more is it's not little woodworkers up here, building their place in the seventies and having weird little hippie drum circles and All that, Hansen says. More recently, it's on ly the rich who have been able to buy here. Many of the old time. Locals, he says, might not have the money to rebuild. If you look at our Facebook page is called Bonnie Doon, a slice of heaven. It's the most beautiful place on earth. Every time we leave, I say, I don't have to go anywhere helps us one of your home and everyone who lives here feels that way and Now they don't have it. Hansen says. With so many of these mountain Hamlets being gentrified, they weren't just fighting the fire. But fighting to keep the soul of Bonnie Doon alive for the California report. I'm Hannah Hagemann..

How are you? I'm great. How you don't know that I am fantastic. Welcome to town. Are you settled in or you're getting comfortable. Being both intelligent. Why Cincinnati. You've played other places. You had choices. What did you like about this situation? It will be the details to their interests. You know, I got a chance to speak to all the coaches. Um, Coach Taylor is blue and my people my uncle's coast, Nick and you know, it really spoke to something that I like. And I, you know, I made the best choice. That defensive line, man. You guys are going to be nasty, aren't you? I would agree. I would I would have to agree. What? What stands that? You know that personnel? You knew some of those guys coming in? What do you like about that defensive line? I like the attitude, you know? And Gino Atkins was a guy. I've always had great. Level respect for A true every level for Gino still doing even more. So now that I get to see how he works operates and I'm really fortunate, but to build to line up with and learn from a guy of his caliber. Um, trying to reach out to coach has learned everything that I really can't do. That can be the best me I can be for the team. I've heard you tell the story. And I know Bengal fans would love to hear this. Take us through the previous four or five months in what you are or what? Your workout. What your stay ready Process was during all of this. We go went to Go order a bunch of workout equipment up and I built a gym in my basement and my garage and then by the Utilize my backyard even had a beautiful nature is your gym and using freeze and things like that. And work out of my backyard in my garage, public up kids involved or, um, my wife. She definitely got involved and But all my filming, so that was awesome, But I I A maid saw state very organized walks all the time, very organized ahead of my own workout regimen written out for strength. Conditioning and football study and unfortunate didn't have a iPad was on the team. So I was using you do videos of former game but back in study. Um you know my technique. "But I really I get an enjoyment. Out of turning people on the cool TV like it's like I get a thrill out of knowing that people would watch a show. That I really, really like. Well, this is different than anything. I don't that anything ever because we I say it's the best show I've ever watched. You say it's in the upper echelon, so you don't usually when it comes to shows like breaking bad the wire your You don't have to be on this crusade to get people to watch it because it's on major networks, and it's at everybody's fingertips, and it's widely recognized as one of the greatest shows ever. This is a unique situation where they show live somewhere for many years where nobody knew what it was where it was, and then we're kind of on, not on the kind of on the ground floor of realizing how great it is so getting that message out to more people is even better than if it was a show that was easily accessible. It's a good point. I think it even makes it more enjoyable because not everybody knows about it's like you have hidden treasure. But now the world knows This show is Ah Oh, man. There's just something so special about it. The emotional connection and From friends to strangers, Tio, Facebook and Instagram and Twitter followers. Literally everyone who has started watching this show. Has thanked us and said positive things about it legitimately just skimming through my Twitter, Dems and instagram DMZ all related to kingdom. I mean, all related to kingdom and all good. It's in it. It's not an MM. A show mixed martial arts are figured heavily in the show. But it's not an mm a show think that's accurate. Yes, it's accurate. To where it would transcend to any audience. It would be bad to market as an M m a show because there's that niche group of people whose like I'm going to be all for it For me, I love something that includes drama has storylines where their heartfelt I'm invested in the character. But also I do like sports and this kind of matches both of those Makes you want to keep watching. It got one episode after another. Well, the thing is, it's so much about the characters with just a minor tweaking you could. You could have this general storyline and these characters exist in any world like it lends itself to Emma May because there's obviously competitive nature there and think stem from that. But you could have this story in these people living in any world and I think it would translate nearly as well agreed. And it's on Netflix its kingdom. It's not the the Korean one. And nothing against the Korean won or Korean people. Ah, but it is a magnificent ride through three seasons. That will take you on an emotional voyage. I really feel it When I see Frank Grillo, who was like pretty much of the main guys, his his instagram the stuff he's Posting on a story nothing but people pleading for 1/4 season. So you've got the the star of the show out there doing nothing but pushing that on social media, you've got to imagine there's at least a shred of possibility behind it all. No doubt and our buddy Randy Han out in Arizona said knocked out 17 episodes of Kingdom this weekend to finish season two. Who? Those last few episodes. I think that's a very common thing is that you been 17 episodes before you even noticed that? Yeah, like If you go into the weekend, thinking I'm going to watch 17 episodes of a TV show people are going to be like You're a loser. But on the other side of the weekend when you go you know what you D'oh I couldn't stop watching kingdom. Yeah, And so I've been pushing my brother. I'm calling motel you because you've got to start the show. You gotta start. I don't know what was. I don't know why he wasn't starting it. But over the weekend at my parents, I just fire it up when he's sitting on the couch, like, sit down and watch. What do you know? His weekend was gone after that point, You know, I mean, I had to force him to watch that first episode. But if you just commit to that You're probably locked in for 40 episodes. See, I like to think about it differently. It's like a reward. And then I'm done with my day. And then, however many episodes I could squeeze in before I get tired. That's how many are watch. That's irresponsible. Watching you commit more should wake up and think. How many episodes can I fit in today? Before I go to bed? Stop watching live alone? Who are you? Hi, Amy. What's happening? What other things in my life? Am I gonna have to give to make sure that I can get the most amount of episodes in what things in my life. Did I think mandatory but are actually optional so I could watch more kingdom. That's where we were. Yes. I'm sorry, Amy. Go right ahead. No, You're okay. No, I just wanted to make a few things. First of all. I didn't know the existence. I'm so grateful for you all you guys are killing my sleep because I'm not going to bed like you am I fitted and I cried a lot Oilers. I know I used to be a competitive kickboxer. So I kind of feel a lot more of the back side of the store of things that you know what you're around and let your environment stuff like that is And one thing my husband said, is how has this show not gotten awards that's like, and he's not a big TV show person might kill, like, you know, like like this one of those, you know one so that he's done with, you know, he was hooked, Canny show Win awards retroactively. Because I mean, this lived on this audience streaming platform that was through a T and T and direct TV. I don't know what the actual parameters for winning an Emmy or Golden Globe are. But what a show that exists on direct TV even be eligible, and now that it's just now debut ng on a mainstream platform. Can it win those awards, even though it's an older show? Well, I think when it comes to streaming awards, it's different. I don't even know a streaming awards show. No, no, The Netflix shows are fully in the mix now at win like me, is everything all right? I I honestly have no idea. It should Win multiple awards for writing for acting for everything because this is again up in that echelon of wire breaking bad Boardwalk, Empire Sopranos, the Great American television programs. Yeah, very much. So, Yeah, because I thought that I thought that Ozark had won some in 2019. Best supporting actress Julia Garner for her Ozark and then Ruth. I think so. Yeah, And then they've been nominated for outstanding drama. Siri's Bateman's been nominated repeatedly so you definitely can win on Netflix show. Hey, what if Ruth and Jay were to get together over man Dark and Jay from J from Kingdom? Man. That would be a dream come true. What a couple. That would be. So listen. Thank you, Amy. I appreciate you calling to talk to us about it. And I hope you have a great Monday, all right? Thank you. Thank you, so I don't know where he fits into it. But, you know, have all these fantasies of fourth season the one thing that could literally take this show into just me needing to change my underpants. Imagine if they could get Kyle Chandler, a k a coach Taylor for a role in season four. And what kind of guy would he play? Coach. He would be, um yeah, I think, Coop. What about Ah, This is me. Just just getting off the bus. What, if like they're trying to promote a fight in a city and the city is pushing back on them, like the local official is Kyle chance. He's the local mayor, and he doesn't want them appear. He's kind of a heel and he's pushing against Emma on Dalby. I send up kicking his ass. Yeah, sadly. But then But then Ah, Coach Taylor has ah, baton on him, and he beats the hell out of Alvin better..

They were before my time by the time I was. You know a human folk in two thousand three. I guess you could add warped Dennis Stanton d two thousand percent. You can take time. Who was the villain one that old coach for the Hawks? Oh yeah winning. If you can't win look it up a prison break d. Bag your bag wealth. He actually is a pretty good ones. I forgot his name but he always was a riot. Bill do you have any MOTHRA? Moderate up mother is not the villain. Mother is on God's side spot. Did you see those is his article on twitter? That the plot of the latest Godzilla movie was lifted from something that happened in. Oh boy I wanNA save maybe yellowstone but one of the national parks. What do you mean I mean this was? This was one of big articles I've ever seen so I clicked on the article to read about it and I guess There were a bunch of invasive species in the park and so they brought in. Canadian Grey Wolves to eliminate the species. But they were worried that the wolves would then take over and kill everything else but they didn't. They just did their job and then it was out there. Were hunting down to me out. Have you seen the new governor? Yeah I don't know if I don't know if that that's what I'm saying but it was complete bullshit was bullshit end up in the green monster who plan words this. I mean that was the new goods or just the ultimate battle was that they were trying to say they had to bring in Godzilla who eliminate all the others king understand. That movie sucked Bad the vote the Kashmir. I've closely and we went to Mex- theater to watch it. I fell asleep. Those chairs very comfy. But I never fall Friday night. Lights coach in there just Just on is bad coming coach. Coach Taylor I mean little selective in choosing the roles coach. In my opinion it was a great movie. I I see. I really liked the first one. I didn't like this one. I will say up the movie like the two. I liked what I think that if it stands alone. I think you're I think when you put it right after the first one where the first one was all slightly more grounded as much as Godzilla movie can be and then you go to what what's action and although it was like. They tried to set up this universe and they skipped all the setup they went from this giant warring the movie. Oh boy I don't know. They explained it while they're on the boat. But I mean the second one was action packed but I was still snoozing in between for ECOMMERCE. Businesses shipping in two days or less is the new stand. It really is and as a growing business. How can you keep up introducing ship? Oh your businesses new secret weapon is ship. Does the only shipping software for.

"Place he can sleep is at coach. Taylor's house coach Taylor South Buddy. Garrity get shamed in front of gotten everyone at Church. Amazing I clapped a class. Thank goodness all. This is finally coming back in blowing up right myspace and yet he goes to coach. Taylor's house I don't know why you'd think this guy has enough money to like even threaten to like go to like a hotel or motel like dude you make you make a lot of money not just go there in the first place. Why try to like put your problems onto someone else? Someone else's like like coach Taylor doesn't have enough on his plate right. You know so. I don't know why he did that. And then the quote which again embodies buddy garrity. Whenever whenever he is at the House and he goes. Yeah you know Pantano tough time. You know how women are with these things. You don't how women are with evening whenever you cheat on. Your wife lied to for years at a time. You know that feeling you know how women are at the thing you know with getting cheated on and embarrassed and parole town. You know like you know how they are. They'll she'll come around buddy garrity everybody. What a what. A what an Oscar worthy performance buddy garrity. Oh and then then Coach Taylor's alive her. Just take laugh like Oh like Oh okay. You said that right yeah. It was just a priceless reaction so at their houses. A great scene where Julie is going to be left alone with buddy garrity and she has his moment where she's like. I can't hang out with Tyra but I could stay home with a guy who's been cheating on his wife or something along those lines and that's okay. You're like Julie you don't make sense a lot in your way too emotional and you're really annoying but that's a good point. Touche Touche very good point. Thank you yeah So back to the buddy garrity thing coach. Taylor's house obviously gets kicked out. We'll get into the big plot. Twist of buddy garrity coach Taylor's intersection moment with the scratch pad here in a moment but the plot of decided coach. Mac IS GONNA stay or not it kind of gets to a head. Where coach Taylor going to make a decision and at one point in the show he says. Do you know what I have on my desk. Your termination papers right here. In coach Mak comes. Oh sorry coach Mac meets with coach Taylor. And he says a really. I mean this is just like wow. This is such a giant topic. Such an such a powerful statement coming inside of such a dramatic silly show like Friday. Night Lights is a silly dramatic. You Know Nine. Oh Two one oh style show. You're not supposed to be drawn life conclusions from this. This is worth reading. I don't know if we really want to talk about it a whole lot but it hits it hits home for me if some people that I know he says I've never agreed with any of it. Talking about his comedy never agreed with any of it. But if you're surrounded by it for long enough it's slowly. Crawls crawls into who you are who you are as a person it just seeps in when he said Oh man that's like real life stuff like you surround yourself with the wrong people. You surround yourself with wrong ideas even if you don't think it's true in the moment it eventually kind of overtakes you're thinking. I was like. Wow that's actually some really great life advice there from coach the racist the racist. Yes No that does happen. That is a good life lesson If you hang out with racist to say racist things then that will become part of your vocabulary which is not a good thing not a good thing by any means but no that that is a good point. Hayes with wrong crowd just a little heavy moment there from coach Mac that I was not prepared for. I forgot that he said that. And so this this watch through I again I was like. Oh Wow wow man crazy okay. You're it does. It does make you think of like people you know that does. Yeah so coach. Mac eventually comes over to coach. Taylor's house and they're sitting down having a drink and coach Mac. You know basically says you know. I never thought I'd be talking to someone. Who's ten years my junior? This is my job. This is what I thought and nothing is more important to me than this. Football team is so he turns in his resignation letter to coach. And think this is going to be like an easy out right like all of a sudden. The decision has been made now. They don't have to address it. You can just kind of keep it. Moving right and coach Taylor sits on it and sits on it sits on it and he finally decision. There's the what did you think about the coach Maxine and then you could talk us through the scene after that where Coach Taylor announces his decision. On the matter what. Yeah so what did you think about coach Mac turning his resignation letter. Oh no I mean like I was like okay. Good for him. You know like he realizes that you know the team needs to win and you know he realizes his mistake. I think finally after like a week or two of sitting on those comments and giving that fake at apology Finds like all right. You know you'll get the players back on good stuff see. I thought that was a great writing trick right there right because if he just gets fired no what. It doesn't matter if he keeps his job. It doesn't matter but the fact that he showed some remorse wanted to quit almost makes you feel sorry. For right they get almost makes you have sympathy for a character who truthfully should have no sympathy for at all because he's kind of a disgusting person right but I mean continue to shame like he's continuing to get shamed rightfully so for comment and you know maybe he took a deep deep look in deep look inward and came out. Came out a better person. You know people can change. Yeah so Coach Taylor announced in a press conference basically first off. How much media is in this small town a Dylan on the Texas holy cow? That looks like a thunder thunder post game like there was so many reporters there so many cameras anyway so just walks up to the podium and says coach. Mac Is my offense coordinator. You guys could shove it. And then shuffles off which. I was very surprised you me too. That was a plot. Twist right like you. I was not prepared for the first time. I watched it for coach Mac to keep his job. Because Taylor a way to make it happen and so then it leads to them getting on the bus to head off to the playoff game and smash talk to his mother and they've got it figured out and so they're coming back onto the team so now we've had Tim Riggins who missed an entire week of practice. Because he's getting drunk with his dad a whole segment of football players who walked out of practice for the right reasons absolutely for the right reasons but missed five five days of practice. Four days of practice. The punishment here for this football team is probably pretty hard to convince as severe like if. You're the backup quarterback your way. Way Way Way. So if I miss the practice I'm not allowed to suit up but smash can miss a week or Tim. Riggins give us a week and they're playing on Friday. That doesn't seem fair. I think this is kind of going to become a toxic culture. It is not fair but that's the way it works. The better player can get away with more. That just happened. The ONE IS GONNA BE. I will say I mean leaving for that but Smashing everyone else. Who left for the right reasons? I mean I I'm Casey. I can kind of see why I decide. I would them and let them play. But the Reagan's one just wanting to like get drunk and yeah. I'm just saying the combination of all of this stuff. You said look kind of look at it and go wow coach Taylor. Little relaxed on the On the punishments Taylor most patient person of all time he is. Okay so The Dillon Panthers go to play playoff game and it is a physical to say the least and I don't know if we're supposed to make the assumption that the refs were bribed. What did you make about the officiating? Well like what did you take away from that? The officiating was very one sided towards Dunston valley rounded up those dumping Duncanville. Glad you write down the names. I never do. Yeah thank thank you. Yeah it was okay so that whole the whole game and the aftermath of the game which I believe led to the end of the episode Was just I was like? Is this really what high school football in Texas is supposed to be or is this just which knowing the show is a super dramatized version of it but the refs just outwardly cheating and not calling facemask blatant facemask and Linton late? Hit after smash score a touchdown I mean good for Tim. Riggins good for Tim. Riggins FOR HITTING THAT GUY. He smashed late and then causing the whole fight which. I mean not cool to have an all out. Yeah you gotTa think of for Your Guy Though. I mean you stick to your guy and you get to win. Wow here's a perfect. Here's what my first thought was and I know this is horrible. Why wouldn't you just once you had the lead in the fourth quarter because the rule is apparently in Texas that you play three quarters. That's a complete game if it gets if it gets cancelled for any other reason the score is final in that moment after you get past three quarters if you had the lead I think your move is just a start an all out brawl and get the game cancelled right. You might as well that is yes especially in you know. Maybe if it's a one score game if you're up twenty one twenty I think coach the other team's momentum coming right I think brawl wouldn't be wouldn't be a bad like fallback plan. I think coach Taylor should keep this in his back pocket if they make it to state championship game. That'd be a great one to bust out for the win for sure for sure. You already had experience doing it to other teams wouldn't be experienced. They would never coming right right. It gets really catch people off guard. I think that's the move. I think it is so obvious. Oh again I don't know if we're supposed to assume this is like a Remember the titans situation where the coaches have clearly the officials clearly their hands have been greased But there's some pretty agreed calls miss and like like you mentioned it leads to this all out brawl and then the game gets called. Three quarters is enough football. The scores Final Dylan wins and the coaches freaking out in the little four year area there and Dylan gets dylan gets on the bus. All in their pads and their helmets. Which by the way if you look seventy seconds later when the bus gets pulled over. Miraculously you're gone. No one's in their pads. No one has their helmets. Yep so they're on their way out of town. What town did you say it was done in valley that sounds so racist nights on shocking letting buried Dunston Valley? They're leaving Dustin value on the bus and again random of thought so many players on this team all fitting on one bus with the seven assistant coaches and head. Coach is really impressed. By the way I think they might be on to buses in real life. I don't know about your high school football team but mine took two buses. Guess Anyway it would be to us so they get pulled over by the sheriff's department and they basically say we're going to need smash Williams off this bus. Someone is pressing charges. Because they don't even hit anybody they hit throw the first punch. Under what planet is that? GonNa Work High School. These coaches are filming the game. Right because you watch tape later. So there's gotta be tape of this. So they they know there's no chance that they're actually going to convict. Smash Williams of anything like it. Is You just to so take him in whole like.

"John Mirant Journey Jackson fresh off a nice late night flight from Atlanta like this is the glamorous life of the NBA right. Like what time did you guys get in here last night Probably like one closer to very late. You Guys Jaren Jar. Like how much do you guys my sense? Is You guys? Do everything together home on the road. What what. What's what's it like having a guy who you connect with right away who you see there. You know you're building an organization. They're building an organization around. And like you just intertwined and the way you guys all right now I mean you know it makes it easier on the basketball court just because you know all chemistry's chemistry but At the end of the day I think it's just it's unique. Sr Ganic I think were closed group overall and we all seem to get along. Usually just 'cause usually because we're all young but I will say That it just Kinda just happened you some. You really can't can't put a finger on specifically why but it's good. What did you know about this Guy John when you get drafted by Memphis? You know. You'RE COMING MEMPHIS IT number two. What did you know about? Jaren Jackson started watching Fan. We kinda talk after the lottery. You know trying to get to know each other after I got drafted. It just went to another level again like no laughing joking all that time visual learning each other just carried over to the floor. What's it been like being without this guy on the court here? The last few weeks plane without it's been tough you know Not Too many guys can do he do on the floor He does a lot for us. spreads the flow out Protect a pain dominating. The paint was just a lot of things that you can't just add up to but she just got God and just compete each and every Jaren when you get drafted fourth and COME TO MEMPHIS. Last year you probably could sense. You're at the end of one era. Conley Marcus Saul and the team was going to cycle into. What would be the next Thera? Wha- what was it like early on last year with playing with Conley plane with the assault and then seeing the thing start to break apart over time and knowing. Hey I'm going to be kind of front and center on this rebuild here now when when the front office starts making moves you usually get wind of you know things are going to start changing Mike and Marken. Everybody did a great job of leading in doing but they did for so many years that they kind of put the team in a great position. Where me and Dylan at the time. Who were there can make an impact going forward and we know how to carry ourselves handle ourselves and then we add him it. Just it makes everything easy so it was quick though because last year it was a completely different team has come. It's now completely whole thing now. How much do you guys hear about like Memphis is used to have like a partnership right? It was Marcus Hall and my colleague for a very long time. They accomplished a lot got to the playoffs. Every year advanced in the playoffs. When you listen to the fan base or you listen in that community and even maybe around the building in the organization about sort of standard those guys set like professionalism and how they went about their business. Do you still feel it around the organization a little bit. Did you hear about it? A Lot. I mean. Of course you hear it a lot. Those guys meant a lot to Memphis But I mean we're a new team like you said So we just go out and just try to us and instead of liberal somebody else life You know just go out and compete. Just play together. Shot to get wins. This was you know how it goes when you have first year. Second Year guys. You're supposed to be in the lottery. You're supposed to take your bumps over few years and then maybe two years from now you compete to get the eighth spot is a seven spot in the West and here you guys are holding down the eighth spot. You've done it with injuries with guys out with some teams on your tail within your group. Was there much conversation earlier about. Maybe we're a little bit better than people think and maybe we shouldn't be putting any limits on what we can do. It is not easy to make the playoffs in the West. You guys know what you go through every night. But what was the conversation among the group about that? Maybe this would be better quicker than than anyone else imagined. We was looking to the future. We always focused on. The president thanked the first message. We sent out to each other worse. We try to be good now. So we'll doing that. We could Practicing hard you know just trying to get better each and every day Just trying to continue to learn grow. We got a young team we had some vets. We got some young coaches. So does everybody know just bought into what we have to do. Learning everything and then once we got clicking. We just went on a row. Now I think from from the start. We knew our building what we're capable of. But like you said you know. Stay in the president's key I think when you stay in the present and do just your habits. Every day everything works out the way it should if you just put in the work and you know that's what we did and we've always been confident in income from anything and income from Windsor. We just were GONNA have the confidence regardless to go out there and play because we're doing what we love at the end of the day doesn't doesn't matter for winning or losing. Brennan do the same thing. Yeah Jaren you've seen Gye. He's had two plays this year that I think John has gotten more like made more. Highlights gotten more attention for to miss dunks right than anybody gets on made ones the. Kevin Love One earlier this season and then Anthony Davis the one the other night like. Are you guys waiting for him? Like one of these days. He's one of those is going to go down against one of these guys right like like you get a little closer on those. When he's put trying to put one down on seven foot all star guy in this league. Are we getting closer to seeing it? I mean you've already seen it as well and there's a lot a lot of crazy he's missed. But there's a lot of crazy nineties made and you're gonNA see a probably a lot of both for a many years but he's got to remember that at the end of the day that's that's not all to his game You know those dunks are crazy but you know the other parts of his game. The fact that he's able to read the flooring has like he is the reason why we're getting wins. And that's pretty much all I care about at this point. Do you fear for his safety? And he's he's ten feet up in the air flying. He's it's a hard landing on those zero party like all right. Don't get hurt doing these. Maybe maybe on a couple of hours but I you know body control. He has good body control. So you know we work on. We work on stuff like that Landings and jumping and stuff to make sure that doesn't happen so yeah I'm not. I'm not worried about do in that moment. What is how in your mind. Are you calculating? Sort of the risk reward of one down on somebody about because you get caught up in the air you get hit or is it just instinct. You just see the rim and just go just go always address of my mindset was just finished play Honestly don't care who's under the go Stood I say my set. So the one. The other night was a moment. You thought I got this one. I've got this one just caught the back door and we're just going to finish They ended up quality to charge. But I mean I just wasn't able to get our before I wasn't able to get up for They call it Scotts turf builder. Thicker Lawn has announced. They have obtained the solution to getting a thick lush green lawn in exchange for all of your hard work a pretty sweet deal for both sides..

"Hey everyone welcome in to another edition of the World Pot. I'm here in New York with the Memphis. Grizzlies one of the surprise teams an all of the NBA this season and something of a podcast doubleheader per us starting out with Taylor Jenkins the first year head coach of the Grizzlies. Who's got this team in playoff contention currently the eighth seed in the Western Conference in talked Taylor about his history with Gregg Popovich and Quin Snyder. And of course Mike Boot and holders and assistant in Atlanta and Milwaukee and then the second part of this podcast with rookie of the year favourite Djalmir and his teammate. Jaren Jackson who both players have the makings of future all stars in the NBA. But have the grizzlies right now in? What many of us would have thought was improbable playoff contention. But before we get going here in New York with the Memphis Grizzlies. Make sure you're also listening the low post with Zach Lowe Brian Winters and hoop collective and the as VP pod. With Scott Van Pelt. Sa- let's get to it and let's start with my conversation with Memphis Grizzlies. First Year. Head coach Taylor Jenkins the Wakata Pot is sponsored by Delta Airlines. Who believe that the more you go out and see this world of ours. You'll find that. There's more that connects us than divides us one of the great luxuries of traveling. As much as I do in this job is getting to check in. And some of the League's best players coaches and executives and some of best times. Are we connect not only about our shared love and passion of basketball but also about family friends and even food so no matter where you're headed next know that when you meet New People you might have more in common than you think Delta? Keep climbing here with Taylor Jenkins the Memphis Grizzlies coach the coach of the eighth seed in the Western Conference Thirty and thirty one As we take this Taylor in the western conference coach of the month for January I always. I've never what do you get coach? A month to get a certificate suitable for framing is as a kid now first off. Thanks for having me. Yeah obviously a great honor text messages. You know some phone calls. You know got great letter in a little trophy from the coaches association. That's very very appreciative of that. So something to hold onto and just remember the great month that we had all the growth that we've had up to that point of the season so definitely a humbling. Honour Hope for more team success for sure I always imagine you guys getting like those certificates that like your mother used to hang up on the refrigerator some stuff. That's that's the coach at a month player of the week. A little bit more professional with a letterhead. Also it's good. It's when you think Taylor of listen you had been a head coach in the G. League You've been assistant for four years. You've been a head coach for one year and head. Coaching experience head. Coaching experience. Like you get a lot thrown at you. What's the one thing at this level that until you're in the seat until you've done it now for pre season and sixty plus games that no one could really even in there with my buttonholes are for in Atlanta Milwaukee? What was the one or two things that you go but people couldn't prepare me for that or how much that takes the whether it's a challenge or how much time in my day that thing takes while I think a lot of it at the end of the day what it boils down to your voice as a coach. You know when you're an assist in you know even dating back like you talked about when I was in the daily You Find Your coaching voice. When you're running workouts in your leading scouts having dialogue and building relationships with other players and helping from the sidelines. But it's all on a servant assisting role but then when you had that head coaching experience which I did my last year. The Toro's you know you've taken all that stuff done before and now you're the final one to speak. You're the one that made the final decisions all the thought process that you have as a head coach ultimately. It's what are you going to speak? What are you gonNa tell the players in a film session? What are you gonNa tell them in a practice where you're gonNA tell them in a game timeout? Obviously I've been blessed to watch pop up close work with guys coach. Bud and Quin Snyder and Kenya. Ackson other coaches in the NBA. And get these bits and pieces from them and that helps you develop your coaching voice. And non until you're actually in that seat that people talk about and you're the one that has to make that final decision or make that play caller make that substitution or. Make that choice to you. Know jump on a player in a film session. Go after them and push the buttons. It's your voice. It's all the preparation you've done before which you do as an assistant you know. We're feeding head coaches as assistants every single day with ideas here and there to help the team. But you know I. It's not until you're in that seat that it's all that preparation before that gets to the point where now you're the one that has to make that call. You have to be the one that speaks up. It makes those decisions you talk about getting your coaching voice and remember something Steve Clifford. I think he said to me on a podcast and we were talking about when he was becoming head coach in college for the first time and he went and chase down. Jeff Van Gundy who was with Nixon about just getting some advice like a few things. You could tell me about being a head coach for the First Time. I think he was at Delphi in New York and one thing that Jeff told them then that always stayed with them is as a as a head coach. You've got to be really maybe economical in your words that if you're giving if you're talking all the time and you're giving direction all the time after a while. Maybe it's just that you've got to be focused on a few things that are important when you his thing was when you call a team in to huddle and practice that it better be really important. It can't just be play hard. Let's work let. What did you learn about how much volume you give the players of your voice in deciding what's important and what needs to have impact with them? Yeah I mean that's a that's a great thing you have to deal with as a head coach. Especially but that's why you gotta be relying on your assistant coaches you their an extension of your voice. They're working hand-in-hand with the players every single day in their own individual development. All the stuff we're doing in practice. I hopefully empower my staff to run a lot of drills so that you know what you just said as the head coach when you speak. It's impactful that you know you have to be very diligent with the amount of words. Not just the specific words and the point you're making about how much Attention SPANS YOU. WanNa get on big labor less is more? It's a good old populism But when you're speaking it's deliver specific message so they can get back to work And then I talk about my since all the time. They're the ones carrying that message that we're having our staff meetings all the time and when they go out and work with our players they can elaborate a little bit more about you know coaching his is talking about. Obviously you're running timeouts. You're running film sessions and there's an educational piece. Sometimes you have to know your audience at the end the day. Sometimes you have to speak a little bit more coaches always talk about. There's a feel to the game. There's a feel to how much needed talk how less you have to talk. That's been some the net. You kinda just observe as an assistant grown up you see pop. Do you see Budde do it. And when I talked about coaching voice ultimately you have to decide how much to use voice. And that's been fun you know. It's always knowing the pulse of your team individual players who needs more or less and that's a fun challenge every day as a coach. And that's one of those things that you talk about. What coaches deal with especially head coaches? That's on your mind all the time. About what messages you have to deliver to your team so that you're steering in the right direction. You're not polluting their mind with too much nonsense or too much overflow or you're keeping it simple thing out there and just play hard you talk about. It's not just play hard and compete and do this. You game specific things to work on so they can go out and just focus on the top line compete and play Heart Taylor when you sat down with your GM's at climate and front office and you get the job. And you're mapping out what this is going to look like this year and you've got a core guys are very young. You were GONNA play two rookies lot. Obviously John Moran who you knew you were going to hand the ball from day. One and Brandon Clark becomes an important player for you and Jaren Jackson his second year. Was there ever really any conversation about? Yeah we think we might have a team here that could be competing for the play. Offs like his. This exceeded any conversation. You guys had early about how you're GonNa Kinda grow the team and higher. We're GONNA to do this and then all of a sudden you find yourself one day you know. We're now in March and we're in. We're still in the playoffs. I think one of the great things about this situation now. I'm very blessed because I think Zack and I've been on the same patients. They won through the interview process. You know the amount of authenticity he gave in our interview about where we're at as an organization from ownership all the way through for an office. That coach being in alignment You know what our projection was going to be not just for this year but for the long term how we were going to build a roster how we were going to build for the playoffs and you know obviously we're in a great spot right now with you know twentyish games left eight seed you know with a few game lead. We just focus on. Let's just build the right habits? You know if we do that the right way and I think. That was the expectation that Zack had. You know there was no time line to win. We need to make the playoffs. There's just a culture of winning. You know we knew it was gonNA take time with a young group and a new group even getting some vets in here with these young guys. You were talking about is. Let's not put any pressure on by this time. I think there was obviously a patient's knowing that there's GonNa be some nurturing and growth that we're going to have to go through especially this first year lane is foundation but to be where we're at right now. There's an excitement that it's because we haven't been talking about the playoffs and saying well. The playoffs are going to be in your two or three or four. We'll wait there's an aggressiveness to just develop aggressive developed winning habits the fact that we we've got the ultimate fate in our young guys. Jhad Jaren Brandon Dillon and in the vet so we've surrounded them that a lot of them have playoff experience. People ask. Is this a surprise?.

Bengals at the Combine in Indianapolis, taking a closer look at Joe Burrow

"With us here from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis where we will be all week so much going on. I'm waiting next with Adam. Schefter Louis Riddick Todd mcshay and Mike Tannenbaum just to catch you up right now. Here's what's happening today in Indianapolis. It will be a very busy week. At Five o'clock eastern though owners are expected to meet players to talk about the new CBA which could expand the playoffs and move to a seventeen game regular season. We've got forty seven. Nfl head coaches and GMT. We'll be talking today. You're also hear from SEC. Standouts Joe Borough and to a ton of Aloha who also addressed the media earlier today. Jonesboro put on an absolute show as you know on route to a national championship for Lsu setting an FBI. Single season record with sixty touchdown passes and Ditto. While completing a whopping seventy six percents of his passes and not only that but bro won the heisman trophy in dominant fashion receiving a record ninety point seven percent of the first place votes here. Our previous comments from Joe Borough on February seventeenth during a reception. For the Davey. O'brien award. He had this to say I do have leveraged the Bengals have their process and I have my process. We haven't even gotten to the combine yet. There's a lot of things that happened. Leading up to the draft. A lot of information gathered bras. Mother Robin shot down the idea. Her son does not want to play for the bengals. Saying we have no idea where that came from. It's a story out there that has created that doesn't have any substance at least from our perspective here Hasbro earlier today here at the combine. Of course I want to be the first pick. That's that's every kid's dream you know I've worked really really hard for this opportunity and I'm blessed to be in this position. I'm a ball player. Whoever picks me on my go show up? How play whoever for forever dressing? You know. I'm just not going to be presumptuous. About what they WANNA DO I. It's the draft. You guys have been covered it for a long time and you never know what's going to happen so we played a month longer than everyone else and everyone else's been training a month longer than us you know. I wanted to put. I don't I didn't think I'd be able to put my best foot forward here at the combine so I wanted to wait till pro day had another whole month of training and just be the best that I could be when everyone when. Everyone's eyes are on me. You know coming in. If you're the number one pick the teen is picking number one. Is there for a reason? So you're going to have to come in. There's going to be ups and downs and you've got to stay steady through the process. Our research tells us about Joe. Borough is his own man. He's not going to be talked into saying things for other people's benefits so if that's what he said. That's that's fantastic. I'm looking forward to getting to know him getting to meet him through. The process haven't been able to sit down with them yet. But we've got that on the horizon. We'll talk more about Joe. Boroughs plans to hold off throwing here at the combine. But might I'll start with you in terms of do you want? Do you not want to play for the being. You have any issues at all with where we landed at least at this point. No I mean as I said last week Joe Borough at the end he does not have leverage. The bengals have the first pick in the draft. If they want to draft. Joe Joe Borough. That's where he's GonNa go now with that. Said I think it's incumbent upon sack Taylor in the Bengal organization to create the Right Environment. Where he could come in and they could build something sustainable and truly transformative so. I think where we wended. Wendy is appropriate last week. He could've handled that better but to Joe Boroughs credit. I think they tweak things I think they're in a good spot now. He's been well-coached past week. Tower doesn't it. Yeah and Adema to your Do All your contacts. It appears that borough likely young he's projected pick. I still think that's where the bengals ultimately go. And they're sitting there and that's about this a team that needs somebody to revitalize that franchise and they are expected to look to trade Andy Dalton at some point this off season and so when you're sitting there in division with Lamar Jackson there in Baltimore think that they know that they have to get somebody in there. That's going to put some points on the Board Baker Mayfield Cleveland and this is going to be the pick for the Cincinnati bengals. Even Joe was considering trying to exercise some kind of leverage really the only leverage you have is withhold your services and not playing not report even if he was thinking along those lines. Let's say he's doing a deep dive trying to figure out exactly. Just what the Cincinnati offer as far as developing me as a quarterback. Could you blame him? Could you really blame him for wanting to dig? Deep on exactly what? What does the future going to look like during over the course of my rookie contract with this football team would exactly? What exactly is Mike Brown's commitment to go ahead and building out this roster around me because we all know a lot of what's going to happen to him has nothing to do with him and has everything to do with everything that's going to be around him. Just look at the past three or four drafts. And how certain players have benefited from going to certain to certain teams? Just look at l a look at the difference between jar rookie year in his second year. Sean mcvay came in. It flipped his rookie year. People were saying Jared Goff to Canada. All of a sudden his second year is like. Oh wait a minute. Maybe he's not so bad you couldn't blame him. If that was a thought Lewis to that point I also think an opportunity. If you're Zach Taylor to say hey what's happened in the past. It's irrelevant we're going to myself with you and we're going to build something great and we can't worry about what's happened before we have a lot of work to do. But if I'm the bengals if I have a hey coach Taylor. That's worked with quarterbacks. Like you mentioned Jared Goff Joe Boroughs Billy and character. That's a great opportunity for the bengals. Sino three things one. Is that if something were to go on with. The bengals is not going to happen in public and this has been addressed in the past week if it's going to happen behind the scenes so whatever we hear from this point on. Don't even don't even look at it. Don't think about it because it has nothing to do with with what is going on behind the scenes. The second thing is this guy's different cab he beats. It goes a Beatles drummer. He doesn't care what anyone else has done. In the past what everyone else is GonNa do in the future? He's going to do what's best for Joe Borough but the third thing I know about him is he's a football guy he's his. His brothers played linebacker at safety at Nebraska. His Dad's a almost four decades coach in football. He's a football guy at its core. He's from Ohio. Obviously I think when it's all said and done he winds up going in Cincinnati if he's number one overall pick but again. If it's GonNa Happen it's GonNa Happen. Not In the media. It's GonNa happen behind the scenes again. Joe Bro not expected to throw on Thursday. He said he just wasn't ready yet. Not a huge deal. Sam Darnold Kyla Murray. The last two years have opted not to throw here at the combine as well. What did make headlines on Sunday? Oddly enough pros hand measurements the measurable quarterbacks took place on Sunday on the smaller side. Love listen here's what he said after it was suggested his aunt size was small considering retirement after. I was informed that we slipping out of my tiny hands. Please keep me in your thoughts while he's got good company because here's what Super Bowl fifty four. Mvp Patrick Mahomes had to say who had just slightly larger hands than did borough my small Andrew doing great so far all right he should say believe in yet. Here's borough earlier today addressing his hands. Yeah I mean these measurements you can. You can take so much from them if it's a glaring issue on film with turnovers. Yeah it's probably an issue but I didn't have a lot of fumbles or anything like that so I just tried to make a little joke out of it I think it's a non factor I don't get paid to talk about. Measurements and analyze. The measurements like played to play football. So that's what I'm GONNA do. I look we're not gonNA make too much of this question. Well yet about what? They actually do what they're actually measuring here so worry not. We've got a ruler. We've got Louis at. I mean really what you're really trying to do is just trying to measure the expense of someone and they put it down on the ground and you actually hear about guys actually doing hand exercises to stretch their hand as wide as possible although when you're grabbing a football you're actually going to measure from the tip of the thumb to the tip of the Pinky here and this is hard because this is a hard rule and you can't really get good accurate measuring you look tired type by just under nine right. Look I'll give you a non center's Oh that's attention and would have actually done something with my. I mean what's interesting when you watch the tape of Joe Borough? There are situations where people come from behind strip him when he's trying to move up in the pocket and run. I mean that's going to happen if you have nine if you have ten inches so I mean it's not a glaring obvious problem as far as him on the football field and that's why I think it's really. It's just going to be something that will hopefully wind up forgetting about certain the biggest thing is and you know this with all of these drills you know as well. Mike you go back to the tape and you're trying to find something after the fact that says okay. Now I'm going to look specifically at these things so you're gonNA look cold weather rain and then ball security and Joe Boroughs as good as any college quarterback you're ever going to see in the pocket in terms of two hands on the ball and protecting the ball. I saw him in two thousand eighteen the last weekend. In September against Ole Miss. You can go back and watch the tape. My suit was soaking wet when I did the open of that game. It was pouring rain driving rain in anyone who says it doesn't rain in Baton Rouge on a Saturday night is lying to you. Because it poured and he completed seventy two percent of his throws with three touchdowns and zero interceptions in that game. So you go back to the tape and you try to look at these things and what the tape tells you is. He's just fine. You know I had a theory here. I have an interesting experience with hand size so I was forced out in two thousand eight. We were we trade for Brett Farve and just as a fan of sport. I can't wait to go out to the first practice and watch Brett farve throw. There's nothing physically imposing about breath and he goes out there and he's throwing Abe I've ever seen and I ask them like what is the value. Where's this philosophy comes from it? He said you know what Mike I have long fingers and I actually couple of football the way a lot of people throw a softball. I could actually be over the top and that's where I get all my philosophy from just watching my practice. It was unbelievable to watch though. I know as Lewis show. There's a tradition of how we measure hands but finger. Length is actually an underrated aspect of playing quarterback so far so far small hands but long fingers and you know what my pinky and all the time strong throwing football pictures of the five. It's easily the least important finger in the hand and I can't remember it ever being a big factor. It's all there in the grip. The pinky to me doesn't matter. It's archaic. How we're measuring the quarterback's hand span now with that. Said there's thirty four quarterbacks in the last fourteen years who have been drafted that have had hands of nine inches and smaller and really only two of them had any sort of Sustained Success Ryan. Tannehill is one of them and Jared. Goff is the other. That's it so there are thirty two out of thirty four. Who have failed. But are we going to say that he's going to the Joe Boroughs? Not GonNa have success because his hands tells me that the reason for their failure wasn't because they were nine inches weight.

Coach Monica Aldama from 'Cheer': Sometimes I have to mat-talk myself

"Today. We have a very very very special episode of skimp on the couch. We are joined by Monica Alabama. In case you do not know this name. I don't even know what you've been watching what you've been doing. She's the coach of Navarro College College cheerleading and has fourteen national championships under her belt. We are so so so fucking excited to do this. Interview or team team is the focus of the new Netflix documentary series. Cheer if you haven't seen it I just don't know what to say. Stop what you're doing and go watch it. The series defies as traditional stereotypes about cheerleading as it follows them through the physical and mental challenges of the sport. My God what they do you got to watch him. Also Showcases Monica's coaching style and the impact. She's had on her athletes on and off the Mat. Monica in case you have a notice. We're literally obsessed with the show. We cannot wait to talk to you. Welcome to skimmed from the couch. Stink you thank you for having me. Okay so we want to jump in which is just want to ask you to skim your resume for us. When did you start working? Just kind of walk us through each job you've had well. It's not much because I started really young. After I graduated from College I moved to Dallas for a year and worked at a computer company but it was really just just a job out of college. Just put something on the resume and I really wasn't happy there and a friend of mine that I had gone to high school with was the assistant baseball coach at the college. Judge and his mother happened to be mature coach when I was in high school so I had helped her some when I was in college and he called me one day and said that this job was open and I should apply for it so I did. It wasn't really something I thought I would ever do. And our only I think twenty two when I applied for it so twenty five years later and I'm still still there. What did you think you're going to be doing? I have a business degree in finance and then I have my MBA. When I was in college I really thought that I wanted to move here and maybe work work on Wall Street or do something in the finance industry? That's what I thought I wanted to do but God had other plans so I mean so much better. Yeah Yeah everyone in our office has everyone we know is absolutely obsessed with the show and part of I think why it's resonated so much is actually actually your role in the show specifically you represent the mentor coach. We all wish we had in our life and one of my friends at this me recently and I was like. It's a perfect way to describe you. It's like Tammy Taylor coach Taylor and I'm very curious g you see what other people see about your role with these kids. I don't you know I mean we're when we film this documentary were just opening up our lives to people and I mean I know the impact that I have because these kids tell me and especially after they're gone a lot of them reached back out to me and just let me know how much they appreciate a lot of times. They didn't realize how much that they should have appreciated me at the time but they really learned a lot so over the years. I think that's why I'm still here because because of the kids and the reassurance that I'm doing something right you know in their lives. I'm just there to in my job. I didn't really know that this was going to be so big. I WANNA start off before we get into it with just some and clarifying questions. That every time I talked to someone about share and I've been asking people and friends. There's a baseline of questions that they want to start off with just from the show. The first one is do four year colleges have cheerleading programs. That just are not as good or is it a different division. It's a different division. We're in junior college. Division and over the years division has really dwindled because for one reason number one they created what was called an intermediate division where you could do lower lower level skill so like the teams that were not able to really compete against us. Move Down to those levels. If we don't have the highest score we normally have at least top three are- out of the whole competition over the past mini mini. Since we've been winning and so a lot of people wanna go to division where they can have a shot at winning. A lot of people jump ship in our division is really small now. I have seen online. Some people confused about that but because it's so small people that are not in the world are like. Oh that's all that's all you be was one or two teams or whatever we always have the goal of going and getting the highest score there that way. If people ask we can say well we had the highest score. We beat every team. They're really that just validate says even more because the division has gotten so small. That's our goal and when we go out there and put out the best routine that we can and just get the highest score that we can the second clarifying question is. There's been news after the show aired that. NCA hasn't been so pleased with Netflix. Following this show Joe or just the publicity. Is there any update on that part. Yeah I mean I I went to La last week and we were working twelve hours a day. So I didn't really have time to get on social media much but as soon as we got down I got on the the van to go back to the airport and my phone had just Bologne up. People texted me my social media. People tagging tagging me a new store like actual actual news stories and the college was calling because we had news reporter showing up to the college about this big story that was breaking about how they had changed the roles and we can no longer do the show and compete. We'd be disqualified and none of that's true at all I have a great relationship with NCA in Varsity. They've always been very supportive. Supportive of me and what happened with that kind of news that Kinda got crazy. They had updated a rule in their stunts. Just some wording just verbiage and so anytime anytime they update anything they put the date that it's updated so they put up dated January. Whatever the day was when I guess someone decided to go and actually look at the rules roles you know because most people don't dig down deep until that really boring part of the rules but always read them all? So there is a clause in there that talks about documentaries and filming and and stuff like that printed that off last year gave it to the producer. Already knew that clause in there and it didn't say anything that we couldn't it just it's really more so about about you. Know they don't want something protrayed as reality. Yeah they say guidelines you know it just. It's not true at all. I have a great relationship with Varsity versity a great relationship with NCAA. They would contact me if they had a problem with things. Any updates on what the kids profiles are doing out they show 'cause I know we kind of caught Jerry in the hallway and the plan was to go to Louisville. Is that still the Navarro. He went to Louisville in the fall. And that what's his dream school. But when he got there I think he just didn't feel like that was really where he was supposed to be and so he had reached back out to me a few months ago and just said Hey. I really feel like that that I'm supposed to be back at Navarro and of course there's always a place for Jerry to be back at Navarro. Morgan came back for a third year. She actually graduated but she's doing like a dual partnership program with the university that we have a partnership with and Lexi Lexi. You know she got kicked off and the charges against her were dismissed but she did go to another school in the fall. Because I told you can't come back. she was cheering there and she also did not feel like that it. Was You know where she was supposed has to be. She finished school that semester but she quit cheering in the middle and her coach and her mother and grandmother all of course wanted her back Aveiro zero when they reached back out to me about giving her a second chance. I said you know. I feel like she's had enough time to reflect on it. Learn from it. I mean do people taking chances. So she's back and she's just just really doing incredible. I think this show was so good for her. Just to fill the love and support and just to build her company her story just breaks your heart when yes but she's doing great. I have a clarifying cautious. You before coaching was your level of cheering at the same level as these kids. Oh no I mean keep in mind. I'm old so what happened over. The years is people started putting their kids in all star. Cheer from like the age of birth or three years old and and so these kids became really Ali. Talented incredible growing up and being trained in the whole world of cheerleading. Changed tremendously since you know. I was in school until now and it's continues to just push the limits cheerleading. Just in general is a way different because it's a lot harder. Yeah people my age did not have those kinds of opportunities you you know. This podcast has a career podcast. We talk about people as managers. We talk about people when work. It's tough how they overcome challenges and what's so fascinating about the show and reading more and more about you. You have any job. You are very clearly a really strong. COO CEO why say that is because it's very clear that you you break down the information in a quantitative way you'd constantly in the show talk about cheering smart and really looking at from a numbers perspective and you also are very clear with your expectations. And you're tough I wanNA understand what's made you stay at Navarro. Do you feel your best. When you're like the big fish in the small pond or the small fish in the bigger pond? I think the a small fish in the bigger pond because you have goals and you always want to move up to the next level reach the potential of the people around you but you know and always intended for this to be a temporary temporary steppingstone. I mean at the time. I just didn't like the job I was in and I grew up in course of Canada. So okay I'll just we'll go back home so you know it was a good job. Aw because I had summers off could be a mother of course Canada's a little bit smaller towns so there's not as many opportunities but I still felt like I was gonNA move move even to that finance filled at some point. That was always my goal and every time I would think about it it was just hard. I felt like I created this program. It was my baby and given it up with going to be hard and the attachment to the kids. The longer I was there I just felt like I said I just felt it was God's plan that I was there there's many years I've thought should i. Should I think about next year you know move into different career moving and I just never did a lot of people that are listening into this and a lot of people are audience. Think about the decision of do I go to Grad School get an MBA knowing that they might not know what they want to do with it how do you think about your decision to get an MBA. Now I'm very happy about that decision. I mean I wanted to teach them classes at the college. I needed to have my masters to do that number one. Do you teach classes says outside of I did. I've taught Algebra for a long time. I just stopped doing that. I says yet another way that shows that we have a different skill. Set My life's too easy at all but I did it for a long time like probably twenty years and allocation too. So I would I even consider going back and get my doctorate degree but I just the time factor of it was just too much. I'm very happy about getting my MBA. and not tell these all the time you know before you have too many responsibilities go and finish school because you may not need it. You don't have to have a degree to be successful. There are plenty of people. Oh that do incredible things that don't have a degree. But what if that one job you want is the minimum requirements the degree. It's always harder to go back. And because because obviously so many doors are opening to you and to the students and I think some of those opportunities I assume would require them to maybe not finish tomorrow. What advice vice would you give them? I think this kind of opportunity is only comes around once in a lifetime. I mean this is a very rare opportunity to have this kind of exposure and in this situation I would tell them you have to take the opportunity you know I mean I would love for them finish school but there are ways especially Ashley This Day and age that I didn't have which you know you could take an online class here there. I mean you could take a couple and still manage all sorts of opportunities so I don't think that they need to miss any opportunity. This could be lock changing for them and take them into a career that they didn't even know would you know would be an option for them and of course their the future is one of my top

"coach taylor" Discussed on Newsradio 700 WLW

"I mean, you don't go to Seattle week one new head coach in really not much changing for the Bengals in the off season. When it comes to free agent acquisitions, so what do you expect there? Lawson seattle. Bring them home. And they they win with the excitement and the adrenaline flowing. The home crowd looking at the Taylor, and they'd be San Francisco forty nine then they go to buffalo. So they're one to win. They wanted to. You're not gonna lose. You're not gonna win in buffalo. You can't if you're not gonna win and Seattle you're not gonna buffalo. Yes. Because they're very compatible there one in three all right, then then the Monday night Monday night. So that's gonna be there. Okay. That's easy that but then you got Baltimore. Here's the thing. Now you got Baltimore on October thirteenth one o'clock game at Baltimore. And you've got Lamar Jackson now. Lamar Jackson, of course, is one of those tr- double if not triple threat quarterbacks real beat you with his legs the the Bengals game plan has to be to contain him. But at the same time, you get him on his legs are fresh. You get as legs are fresh Rosanna factory. Yes. Is that a factor? They still be Tamar. Jacksonville at home is a win win. That's a win. LA Rams in London. Zack Taylor against his former team. What a great story line. There were thirteen and three last year. They went to the Super Bowl. I don't know if the Bengals have him to beat a team, plus you know, as much as we complain that people complain about Thursday night football. What about playing in London? I mean, a different time. So that's that's got a screw it difficult to do. You get the reenergize that I'm I'm sensing momentum. As we turn to a Sunday. What is your record? What what's your record there in the first because the by is November third exactly one two three eight or vacuum. I got I got five and three at the break. Really? Yeah. Where would clear momentum? All right. I have five and four but anyway, four and four right. Foreign four four and four forgot the bills are going to be at them. All right. So they're even five hundred all right optimism. Coach Taylor's got his his he's got his legs beneath them, right? He's got to see legs. He's got guys on Dalton's thrown there on bombs to receiver wise who's he thrown into. Holy cow, right. Bright breakout star. Right. So here we go. Now. Then we got Baltimore win got at Oakland win win. Pittsburgh at home that the loss the Steelers until the well believe it when I say so this season gets the Steelers, then you got New York Jets at home that's a win win. Now. Here's the problem lands here. We're going to now we got problems last four games. You got at Cleveland against Baker Mayfield should be in the playoff hunt. Ross you've got new it never mind. That's a loss. Would it be great? If you could get New England in week three. Like to get New England with the backup quarterback. Kidman you if you get a New England and arguably maybe the first five weeks, you got a really good chance laugh last four weeks last week. They win at Miami. They're rebuilding. And then they lose to the Browns. They wind up nine and seven. Better than last year and ninety seven's going to give you actually if it's ninety seven what's back it up two weeks that they will enter December in play in the conversation for at least a wild card, and I would take that at this point. If they beat one team they shouldn't be who's going to be. I think that's a good question. If they beat one I would say the Steelers at Paul Brown stadium. Factoring in. Brown kind of reinventing themselves. So the ones we pinned his losses. That's a great question. I'm going to steal on. My job is. Win and Seattle. They're not gonna win at Pittsburgh. They're gonna win in London. Maybe steal either be stealing one from the Browns or stealing the home game against the if they're gonna lose one game. They should win. How about San.

And who you are how you carry yourself whether you pal and feel sorry for yourself is the only things go matter because that's what people are gonna remember about you last night's game was the lowest scoring game in Super Bowl history. You would give advice to a single lady to watch out for. I, you know, it's it's just I don't know. We just have to take care of ourselves a single eighties. And we have to really learn to trust our heart, and our gut and sometimes we don't do that. Because we have all these other stories that we tell ourselves. So I'd say trust your gun talking. Ever have. Mind as her kids were saying to her. This guy's bad. Did she did she have red flags at our header, which she just totally thinks she's pleaded but also she had a whole relationship with her daughters where they they kind of always hated the men. She was with his point. She was kind of like, you know, what I deserve to have Levin. I'm not gonna let them control and even her therapist, even their therapist said to her you need to do this for yourself. So that was what was tricky about it. You know, it was just like sort of this convergence events. Let's go to Becky from Kansas City. Becky, what's your question for Ghani? Hi, andy. I love you, Connie beautiful. "So that's that's the game. Like, let's let's go exercise those demons last last June. We went to Linda, you know. Yeah. We got our butts handed to us. But let's go in there. And I think it's worth mentioning that Atlanta is the home of the Super Bowl this year. It's a he's going to say let's go into that locker room. And let's let's make ourselves comfortable because we're going to be coming back here in February and bottled Lhasa, I I mean, I know it sounds ridiculous because they haven't won a game on the road this year. But I could see Jason Gary that's automatic version of that's very automated virginal Jason Garrett. I like it. I mean, but he kind of has has he not pulled off similar to twenty four teen. When you you give me. Earlier an earlier year we actually won a big game. I mean, I'm just mentioned twenty fourteen right? That he's been hearing this ninth year for the Cowboys. And you're looking for reasons why you want to keep him your head coach again. And I think I think everyone makes reminds including general managers and owners, there's a there's a point where they think look this is what he needs to do for us to validate may or us the organization keeping him. And you know, you mentioned in twenty four teen and I'd have to go back and look in the Wikipedia. Let's case. Sure. We're talking about twenty twenty eighteen and for me, look if Jason Garrett can win back the back road trips against Philadelphia in Atlanta. Hey, I would consider maybe giving him an extension. I wouldn't go. Because those teams he's got a beat maybe get into postseason play. I I wouldn't go that far, but I can see it and. You look at what he's done this year, the blood four straight, and they beat Tennessee at home. I mean, they should be Tennessee. So go on exercise the opportunity having Amari Cooper, and he just likes it up and they get off and may be Philadelphia's score thirty five points. This is really this is this. Yeah. Reach for the stars are J K. And they go on a row they scored forty two on Atlanta. I'm like, hey, we got something. You know? I I mean, let me be clear sky. But that's just the different. I'll be clear that the losing. That's sample. I'm with you in that so far while we're picking the rest of the Cowboys schedule. I'm picking them to lose those two games. My only point is that Jason gear. It's kinda like, I don't know. How to really were this other than say he's kind of like a coach in like did you ever watch Friday night lights TV show? So I don't wanna say coach Taylor because coach Taylor is amazing. But I mean, he's kind of like a like a movie coach, you know, what I mean like, you can you can see that part of the movie that part of the of the television show, you know, that's that's the really big episode. You know, what I mean, the games in Philly and the remember in TV and movies Hollywood. I agree. They can make they can make them when I agree again. I don't think this is happiness agree. I mean, here's the thing about it. Is it? You know, what he's had opportunities to really. Cultivate, his his type of monotone and his type of philosophy coats. And I think that there's there's too many opportunities for him to win games. And I think you really got to be scrutinized. I love Jason Garrett is a person. I mean, he we're friends. I, you know, I know why I mean, we're, but we're calling you the way it is in the media. I just don't think that you cannot validate keeping someone by winning. Got there's got to be some signature wins. And those are the two fraternities. Those can't be all his excuses. What we you know, we we didn't have the white the right receivers. Now for my Cooper again best-case offer for Jason Garrett zip. My Cooper comes in there. And they make this decision while I don't know if it was a committee by committee decision. I don't know if it was Jason Garrett going to J J, we need to get we need to go. Get Amari Cooper, someone like that. Go get him. We don't know if that's by committee. I agree. That's just my point against whether you're gonna keep someone that's going to have the same philosophy. You want to try in the deal with that Prescott?.

"These movies where it says, like, how do you keep doing? I mean in drastic part, whatever ten now he's in the Senate hearings throughout the movie and he's just like stop fucking doing. US the next one spoiler alert I mean that actually is going to be totally off the fucking rail, so I don't even know what's going to have you go into dress a park when they really make it. You're gonna go to the dinosaurs, zoo balk. Yes, this is a problem. Don't do this. Don't do this and know, but we're, we'll be there. And I hope they make those little ball glass balls that are in the most recent ones. And I hope you know, it'll probably all go wrong and I'll by beaten speaking of the nine lives. You know, once dinosaurs a real, I would love to beaten by dinosaur. That's one of my deaths. No pass. Why pass? That's crazy. You wouldn't wanna live address. I mean you, you're not. You have your nine lives like you're gonna come back home care, painful, no die, but it's, you're not. You don't avoid the pain of the death? No, I want like like a one one bite. Everybody knows the rules from t. Rex like true by me in half. Okay. And then I go viral because you like my legs are just, you know, flailing around. That's the dream. That's what everybody wants go viral in your death. So I mean bonafide success. So we'll definitely be planning the next one. Maybe two things. One we are going to try to do some sort of content there. Next time we'll plan that up better. We'll do a podcast, maybe it can be heard throughout the bar. Maybe you can just kinda watch us action either way. We'll do a little something more than just drink. Maybe in two. I think we should maybe try to pick a better movie because most people didn't like I'd say about eighty percent of the people were like, well, I went to see that fucking shitty movie for you guys. So let's hang out now we talked about if we should try and pick a good one because some the bail and makes for better conversation at the bar. You needed to be a little worse than skyscraper would have been. Yes, they ask. By the way, probably not good, but you know what? I bet. I bet you. It's like ten percent critic, ninety percent audience. And then one other thing was suggested was maybe also throw in like a throwback movie that like everybody rewatch is for the first time we could do, does it hold up around Christmastime? We can be. It can be home alone. All tell you what we're gonna do the new Godzilla movie. You see that shit, John the trailer just dropped his weekends by elevens in it. Coach Taylor's in it. What? Yup. Come out. Probably. I mean, it was just the first trailer. So I think a while next summer. Oh, my dad by them. This is going to be the best movie ever. And I think I mean, I can't tell by the trailer, I think maybe coach Taylor's. Like related to eleven, I would Coachella. Yeah, you know what? She actually has put up an Instagram if is eleven's DAT. So I think she calls him data on. I just got there and the dinosaurs. I mean the the monsters, the titans as they're called are. Like kind of the good guys. I don't know how or why in the trailer, the chick who's who's the girl from the departed, the girlfriends therapist. She says, like our planet is under attack from a virus and it's spreading, and the only way to stop it is to awake the titans. You know the story of God's underground so they know where all of them are and they're keeping them at bay, but now they need to wake them up on purpose. I'm thinking that might mean that like Godzilla is like nuclear something. Maybe he's like eating radiation or something like that. That's what the viruses anyway, they're purposely waking them up..
