"That's where we're going right now. Will Blackmon joins us on that Goodyear highlight is a 12 year NFL veteran. You also want to chip with the Giants, and he's the host of upsets and underdogs. A podcast available wherever you listen to podcasts, and he covers college football, So he really truly does it all. Good afternoon to you will, thanks for being with us. So let's start with the giant since that is your former team, right? Um is it a make it or break it year for Daniel Jones, and that feels kind of obvious to me. But like, what do you need to see from Daniel Jones to make it be like? Yes, he is definitely our franchise quarterback going forward. Well, thank you for welcoming me been great to it. Um, yeah, I think it is time. I feel like this division is still quite open. I understand. That Washington is the favorite, especially due to their defense. But yeah, it is time it's time ago. It's time to get going. They went and got some more weapons for him offensively, you know the big sign with Kenny Golladay, but It is time to see what Daniel Jones can really do. He's the first one pig. He is their first He is their franchise quarterback, you know to take over after Eli has gone so Wanted percent agree to see what he can do with the senior ship. Staying within that division, the NFC East and there's some news, obviously coming out of Dallas with that offensive line. Taking a hit due to Covid was Zack Martin being out for the next two weeks? What are legitimate expectations for Dallas team that has so much talent? It's mainly just a question of Can they put it together? And also can they stay healthy? That's the biggest thing is. Can they put it together? Of course. Yes. Losing their quarterback. Last year was was massive. I mean, Dak was having, uh, you know, a record setting type of season out the gate, so to lose him that that was everything but The main thing I want to look at two is also the defensive side. They went and try to make this adjustment. This is the second time uh, first, McCarthy felt like he had a team that was ready. He had to make a switch on the quarter. Nate aside. In Green Bay. You know, with the head coach Bob Sanders. He felt like the team was ready to make a switch Defectively. So he went, um and got Dom Capers and that actually elevate the defense, you know, don being with the Steelers, bringing that blitz Berg style. They actually cater Charles Woodson style of play, and now he went and made a switch and got coach Dan Quinn. Was trying to bring that Seattle cover three type defense, which is funny because McCarthy said he wasn't at the end of that defensive force. So that's why he went with coach Nolan, who also I notice his best friend as well. Stop. I'm ready to see what Dan Quinn does defensively. Getting Michael Parsons was huge. I think he's going to have an outstanding year. So, Yeah, I'm I'm curious to see what they do overall and right and they put these things together and health is going to be a huge contributor, contributing factor to what they can do as a team. Okay, So then let's see what the NFC East I want to stay there. This has been a division that has been. I mean, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it bad the last two years, right? Is this finally the year they get over the hump, But it's no longer the NFC least. But maybe it turns into like an NFC beast or something where it's not not really a joke anymore in the NFL. Yeah. I mean, I don't want to say it's that division is a joke. The cool thing is, it is competitive. You usually have a new winner every single year, and you just never know. I think it's Sure in terms of Super Bowl contenders. Yes, it's not the the coolest looking division. But I think as from competitive nature and the history and the fan base and all that stuff, I think it's one of the most entertaining divisions is because you have the most passionate fans from I mean, from Philly to Dallas to New York to Washington. I mean, they're all nuts playing in Division. I was in a giant in Washington, so I got to see it first hand basis, so it's going to be competitive is going to be interesting to see You know, Speaking of when I was in the Giants, we got in at nine and seven, right and made the run. So the whole point is to get in. Well, who's one of those teams will that you look at and say they kind of under the radar? You know, they're not the Chiefs not to Packers. They're not the box. But there are a team that could maybe sneak into this thing and have a unexpected running The post season. There's a dark horse team in the league. You know, it's funny. It's um I think there are a solid team and this is based on health. Is Minnesota. They're so interesting because I feel like they're they're sure. Pretty much every position on the field, You know, Um Her cousin. He's going to deliver his his standards, You know, 4000 yards 25 Touchdown. You know 8 to 10 picks. He's going to be very, very efficient. You know, obviously, if Justin Jefferson who's who's unreal Can Adam feeling stay healthy? They just paid Harrison Smith. He's outstanding. He's going to be a hall of fame where you got Patrick Peterson. You get Bashar billing on the outside. And you got down to cook and double cook the hell because he's you know, to me talk quite running back in the entire league indicates to me. I think everyone believes that so I think there's someone who can sneak up on a lot of teams, just their respect it but I feel like they're not taking it as serious as they should be. So I like Minnesota to be. I guess the dark bush and I don't care They are, but I think they're a team that could sneak up and make a late run in the playoffs this year. Cool. Will Blackmon. Thanks so much for joining us on the Goodyear hotline. We really appreciate it. We'll talk to you later. No, thank you. I appreciate it so much. See you later. You can follow. Will Blackmon on Twitter at Will Blackmon. Um, he brings up a good point against the Vikings. I feel like this is a team that just like, Let's be honest. Just not sexy like you look at the NFC North. Good thing. Aaron Rodgers is coming back. The Chicago Bears got question marks at the quarterback position from a Chicago Bears fan. So I'm doing it for the whole NFL. Not from my own period liking. Um, the Chicago Bears outside of the quarterback position. They're like, you don't really know what you have in them and the Vikings just there. One of those. I have no idea what nobody's talking about them because a convert the car. I have no idea the quarterback competition in Chicago's of intrigue, understanding. It's a big market. Matt Nagy is come from Kansas City and all these storylines of Can he be a guy can act. The run game. Get offense going the whole Aaron Rodgers, saying the Packers happening lead continue to be elite. There. The reading EVP there. Detroit is a nothing burger..

Nobody's talking about Detroit for good reason golf started. Stafford's not even there anymore. Now golf Senate quarterback They're written off, but nobody will make that great point. Nobody seems to be talking about Minnesota that quietly has everything put together. And I think a lot of it's because Kirk Cousins ain't sexy. And Kirk Cousins has had some sneaky good years, And yet people still go. This can't really be the guy candy. So I think it's fair to say maybe the Vikings are that perfect dark horse team in the NFC North. Yeah, I'm not going to go that far..

"This. This is a new frontier one more story that is unique to the week of this season. This happened before but south carolina eastern illinois. South carolina's starting quarterback was assistant. Coach nolan grad assistant coach. He can do this by rule. He had a year left of eligibility last plate. Last spring for north dakota state he was trae. Lance is back up north dakota state team. What do you think sarah. Do you think this is okay. I love this. You gotta find someone where you can get someone. I also think that he's going to be under a lot of pressure to know the plays perfectly to get everything right. Got a coach in there. Hasn't been telling you how to do everything that you get in there and you can't do it yourself. We always say those who can't do teach well. Maybe in this case monica. I'm on this to it. Certainly beats having the guy that played quarterback in high school lessons. Really not his position at the collegiate level. I want to see what this precision looks like from his leadership position. Maybe south carolina found a loophole. You bring the guy in under the idea that he's going to be a grad assistant. You could work with them at a time. When you're not supposed to be practicing next thing you know. It could store where she went that way though. Someone felt that way. But i'm not surprised that you bill plachy. I love this like everybody else. Ucla has sixteen kids in graduate school in their team called. Former Coach Nolan Richardson on This Season's College Basketball League

"Coach. Let me ask you about a topic that we had here. Most of yesterday and running even until today and that was about kentucky this year with john calvin perria an unusual amount of criticism which comes with the territory when you when you lose sixteen games but what. What did you see this year when when you saw kentucky play well you know thing about kentucky. They've got they've got some pretty good talent. But so have the other teams you know. They're not playing a bunch of guys a lot of teams that are chopped liver. They're playing teams that have some good players also and because of the time that the things are today. There's a lot of players a lot of key is that you don't know us. They're pretty good. And if you put him a you're to put them in a kentucky uniform at and make a lot of difference in the world because the tradition win a lot of ball games to We've gaels team you know. He's been very fortunate to be able to track some of the top players in the country. i'm not sure he's got those kind of players on this year's basketball team so let's get to the top of the heap right now in the i mean there's two new coaches nato arkan at alabama and eric muslim at arkansas. Who have really surprise a lot of folks. These were these were schools that were picked to finish. I think in an eighth or ninth and they have exceeded expectations starting with alabama. What what are you. What are you see when you watch our coach team. Very good very well. You know that they play. They played pretty quick. ballgame It speak to exactly what i said. You got two new coaches that are leading Leading and are winning ball games with basically new teams you players we would say that's why said that. The players today in the teams today are so balanced. Is it you know. I wouldn't be surprised if a if a team that Seated number fourteen when the national championship surprised me. Because i it's you you're not you know the the the the regular name teams are not there anymore. You know the the north carolina's ucla's kentucky's mean you used to just turn on turn on your set and that's those are the only team here you would hear about. Now you got gonzaga a a super bowl club. And i think alabama is right up there with that bunch and i'd also arkansas's it is that is ranked up there with that bunch. In terms of the national scene everyone keeps talking about gonzaga as as being the absolute lock. And i know you just what you just said about a fourteen seed. Do you think they are head and shoulders above the field or do you think it can tighten dramatically once tournament. But i love the coach. There at gonzaga i think he is phenomenal. Phenomenal job but it's you know. Every game has his own merits and and to win. Stab believe is six. You've got to win six to win at all Is going to be a challenge. Simply because of the fact that there's going to be a team out there that you have no clue of being close to win. That could upset them who they would might meet. You just never know every ball game so important. You know every single ballgame. It's so important so You know when teams run around and try to get scouting reports at this later date. I think it's all with if you if you if you're not ready to play then if gonzaga's not really ready to play it can be beaten but if they're ready to play their chances of winning all

"I'll sit in the same place but can last about Mark Ingram really quickly? He was on the show earlier today, the two of your co host of the trust that was podcast watching you guys. It's very clear, Cam, how much you love and respect each other. What is it? That makes Mark Ingram such a great teammate? When the two of you were together in New Orleans? Because no matter where this guy goes, everybody loves and respects him. And let no respect him and he makes the team better in terms of the energy level that he breeding and the motivation that he's bluffing. I mean, even care to read it really strong leader as in the in the in the latest locker room president is second did nothing and that he wanted corralled the guys even guys in his position he wants. Everybody invested. It could be and you can feel that energy. That is something that you know you can't market the intangibles that nobody, whatever fully focused on greater blocks marking remains, But of course you know what he brings that statement. "Yeah, but on the surface, one of the reasons that I like Cal Trask is the man is humble as you can hear in the postgame presser after their performance against Vanderbilt today. She's our has something coach Nolan told us was, you know he's been on championship teams, and sometimes they came out flat, but it's still found a way to win. And, you know, honestly, we came out. Mm 35 obviously want to start a lot of passion with that, But today we found a way to win. That's all about it. They won 38 to 17 Game night. ESPN radio Our Jae young alongside Jeff Dickerson. Trash went 26 35 as you mentioned with three touchdowns, three on 83 yards through the air. I'm going to give him Path for saying that they came out flat because yes, they did like they didn't score first, and they had to come from behind. But it's still Florida and it's still More importantly, Vanderbilt. They're not very good to answer your question about who I put first. Yes, I still think that we're having a discussion about Mack Jones at Alabama because his team is undefeated, though there's an argument that he's not the best player on his team disqualifies him from the Heisman. Which means you got to talk about not years, right? And I'm also with the folks that want to tell me what kind of seasons that Wilson has had against Western Kentucky in North Alabama. I'll hear it. What what I've seen from Justin Fields in his worst game is he threw three interceptions and still threw for 300 yards and still let his offense to 607 against the top 10 Indiana team. Right now. That's still the dude right in until Kyle Trash beats Alabama. We think in the S E C championship game. That is where I land on this. Like I really need to see Kyle Trash do this against Another Top five team because doing against George is one thing, but Alabama already putting into their argument for whether or not they're going to be in the college football playoff with a loss and then you submitted it. I want to see them do it against the team that we all think it's good the way that Ian Book talked himself back into the Heisman conversation with his performance against Notre Dame, so I think there's still some moving to shake in here, but I think there's just a little too much that we're putting on contrasts with the loss against Texas saying Well, yeah, well, that makes a lot of sense. We will see I feel that Kyle trash, they're gonna have a chance to redeem himself in the S E. C championship game. And I mean, if he outplays Mack Jones, and they find a way that maybe even, you know, lose close games. Alabama beat Alabama again Still We'll see what that counts for, But the fact is, it's a nice picture. It's a crowded field off great quarterbacks of great players. Zach Wilson. I have to go back to time out Talk right now. I'm gonna put him in time out a little bit just because of the program he plays for in their schedule. But there are a lot of qualified candidates for the Heisman, and I loved that. It's not a foregone conclusion. Either way, who the winner is going to be so a lot of football left to be played? 100% and you talk about the SEC title game and that, you know to attack of a little lost the Heisman a couple years ago in a game where Jalen hurts, had to come bail Alabama out while Kyla Murray put on a display in the Big 12 championship game. Go on win that Heisman for many ahead of the vote, and I think it's all gonna be very interesting coming up. We talk to one of our experts and we update you on the score of Bedlam. Oklahoma leading Well, we'll tell you how that's next..

Whenever it's probably our worst ball game of football that we played On the two thousand twenty on a little bit disappointing but again you know just a learning process but we tell our guys but you learn more when you're celliers successes in life and law cracks and one of those getting access on every play and you know you can't give up big plays or whatever you want to compete with the best guy so again you know. We have a lot of plays out there. We still like You know Unfortunate but you know. We play a good team. Some of that has a lot to you know. The guy to stop went had on the football field. It's harder to talk. Whatever that's pretty talented dough. So kind of one of those deals. But i think we we learned a lot from that and i think it will be better for it This week you know Facing our next opponent in the play off your game is going to be better for sorry events but you're tunes getting better forward as well coach because you're teaching lessons right now that they're going to be able to apply at the high school level the college level at the nfl level. As you've been excel. Excel that as well so i think it's fantastic really instill in the correct values and letting those kids know. Hey you know what we got to win almost the same as we lose we tend to be even keel and work on things. We can improve on and control things that we can control. I mean that's what it's all about man that's the greatest sport in the world of my then so many life lessons daily. You know what. I mean weekly. You know going during the games all those things. So that's why we love the game football we do well and you know and the other thing is when you have sheer disappointment you know when people are like man we should have won that game man. You know. that's what you want because that means you're change in the culture out there. Obviously you don't need us telling you this but you have the foundation that you've developed their coach. I say this. Because i've seen it firsthand in that. Your freshman team finished undefeated. And i don't know the last time that happened out at desert mound that's laying the groundwork for some exciting football in the future and And not only good berkeley gene. That's eight nope i know. Are these four and two will be hosting a playoff game here when the bracket come out. Hopefully that'll be one of the first time that the mountains on that bobby stints no two thousand nine hundred teens in over ten years or so since that's happened so you know we're doing positive things right now. We want to build off of you. Know what we've been doing here Dr top programme and hopefully you know we learned a lot from his last game and you have a lot to improve we all you wanna do man improve every single day you know and i mean we're we're true from the buck chicken that we took Last night we'll look at the things that we did well. And there's things whatever they were forced you need to improve on but mostly it's our energy and intensity and maxim okay. It's south point power. How are we gonna go out there and approach you know. And i don't think in that particular game cower no talent or whatever that we approached that game the way were supposed to to win and compete and after learning lesson for love coach conrad hamilton desert mountain wolves. Thank you so much coach. Good luck on finding out where you guys are going to be playing next week. Hopefully it's at home will look to cover you and we'll talk to you next week. College for for a couple of years Coach riding than doing this a long time. He's been the head coach at the high school. Level it starts with both of them Their leadership the way they communicate with the kids Just the way their teachers boost and and they do a great job of just instilling. That intensity Teaching the kids every day The why you know why we're doing what we're doing. I think that's very important and sometimes gets lost In coaching you. Just you're you know you don't have a lot of time and sometimes forget just step back and really explain why we're doing some of the things we're doing so the kids really comprehend and understand so It starts with them but we've been retired coach that we got You know and i really. "You don't know the pick sixes and give quick touchdowns. But, yeah, that was for the Gators. That was early in this football game where they started taking the foot off the gas I want. I want to go a little bit in defense of Dan moment, cause I don't It's not that I disagree with you. Hey. But But I'm not sure his team Didn't get flat on him. Sure, I'm not sure it wasn't the team that wasn't executing what I'm thinking about some of the passes that went behind people, someone just some of the things that were going on. In the fourth quarter. What I'd like to say is and I did not know this and I don't believe I would. I wouldn't have imagined I was seeing this. I think Coach Nolan was a gentleman. Towards the end of not running Georgia out in the last four or five minutes, when certainly they have the opportunity. Probably after the, um Probably when they get down to the Bulldogs territory with about five minutes to play. Uh, maybe maybe could have a baby could have tried to jam it a little more. And certainly on that after that turn over where they ended up with the ball in the dog's 16, and a chance to make that ah, much larger score 48 28 over Georgia so Who knows? Either way, it was his not party. That's for sure for the dogs today. Okay, so only Getsem peso bills. By the way, we're going to go down to Chuck with the coach Smart. "Other fees may apply shop safe with PayPal. Self exam. Thank you now to the meeting potatoes of this year segment. Gallic Ah, The Dallas Cowboys are horrible. They're two of five lot of injuries. I understand. Defensive coordinator Mike Nolan may be on the injury report this week. No one had to step away from his weekly conference call with reporters this past Monday because he got some hot sauce in his eye in the middle of answering a question about the effect that I saw that pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence. Mitch for those who didn't hear it. It went like this to get David up and not complete the place. What does he mean his game yesterday and where do you want improvements? He's been acting very weak. You know, as faras, I think, disrupting the quarterback. He's escaped several times to do that. Obviously the frustration for him As well. It's just, you know, look when he misses him. Nobody will. Excuse me. I got something. I, um I just had some Tabasco on my finger and went in my eye. That wasn't good. It's terrible cheese. I'm sorry. Give me one second. Yeah, it's 20 Tony for coach Nolan there. The Cowboys are on pace to allow 555 points this season. They have given up 243 already again there, two and five. And then he was able to continue to press conference and he was saying, my eye feels a lot better. But it was burning. You had Tabasco sauce and answer, okay. Not only is that is that sad, You know, I feel bad for me. It's a terrible thing. The basket sauce in your eye. But aren't we in a time where we have been told one million times a day? Don't put your fingers in your eyes. Right? Right. I mean in Kobe. That's the first thing that the short way but the surest way and Washington sure his way to get Cove it, wipe your you know, have it on your fingers and wipe it into your eyes. He's got Tabasco sauce or worse, Yet there will be a trend among really bad teams in the NFL when having their press conferences. Well, wait a minute. I got that rascal in my I gotta go. I can't answer that time and time again. KFC That is Kentucky Fried Chicken reminds us that there's way more than just fry up a little bit of chicken. And once again we have Morrell Vidin ce of this. They have a limited edition. 11, herbs and spices. Fire log. What's that sounds funny. That's $15.88. And it's down from the usual $20. Now what it is. It's a fire log you throw into the fireplace. And it throws out a fried chicken. Aroma. Now, let me ask you this, Mitchell. You do a lot of entertaining with your lovely wife, Janine. Correct? Yes. Isn't the object of the exercise to eventually get your friends and family to go home now? That's why I have developed because I'm always thinking the steamed broccoli fire log that'll work. Or Mitch. I'm only to give you a deal on my latest invention, the garlic Limburger fire you like that baby up, and it's only a matter of time before everybody takes off on killing. Hey, listen, family stuck at home have resorted to playing games once again. Hasbro, the maker of monopoly say that sales are absolutely soaring. As a matter of fact, Hasbro stock has been going through the roof, as they say now, Mitchell Are you one of those that while playing monopoly If you don't get Boardwalk and Park place, you immediately turn the board over and storm out. No. If I don't get those two and the greens like the greens, and then you'll turn the board over and storm out, that's right. But one does the game really end? Does anybody know the answer to that question when you run out of money, But there's all sorts of bartering going on. You know what cheeses? Me off is if somebody's sitting on a stack They won't let you buy a hotel for $20. Let's keep the game going. I know we've been at this for 15 hours already. I don't get it. Now. I'm amazed people really playing monopoly again. I mean, you're right, Steve. It can actually take 15 hours finish one of those games in the midst of a pandemic. It can turn into full contact monopoly very way. Ah. Speaking of people with money, the billionaire investor Bill Gross is embroiled in a contentious Legal battle with his Laguna Beach, California neighbors. The dispute stems from a $1 million outdoor sculpture, which is 22 ft, around which gross and his partner any Schwartz have installed netting to protect it from the elements. Now their neighbor, Mark Tofik, filed a complaint with the city alleging the netting blocked his view. The complaint sparked a quarrel between the neighbors, with Tofik and his wife filing a temporary restraining order alleging gross and sports. I have got silver bullets. I've got garlic and I've got wooden stakes. You want to give it a go killing May? Ahh. Yeah, And then now we're going to deal with this. Mitch. You've been in Michigan for a long time, haven't you? How many times are people coming up to you even right now. Skin dark earlier, isn't it? Wait, You know what time it is going to get dark? You know, after the time change this weekend, it'll it'll be dark by 4. 30, Right. How long have you been here? It's like every year the first snow of the season. It's selling. Really? "Saw. Forgive me. I'm sorry. I don't remember the question if you give it to me again, Okay, so Unsolicited advice again, Mike Nolan, Your defence is really struggling. I can't help you with that. But I can help you with your Tabasco on the finger problem. Do you know who has never had Tabasco sauce on his fingers and literally his entire life? That would be me. And do you know why? Because I eat everything with a knife and fork literally. Everything. You name it. I eat it with a knife and fork. The answer is yes. Right now, wherever you are, If you're screaming out options at me, the answer is yes. I eat pizza with a knife and fork. I eat wings with a knife and fork. I eat sandwiches with a knife and fork. I eat everything. Hamburgers with a knife and fork for exactly that. Reason. I don't like to get things on the fingers. I don't like it. I'm not as worried about getting in my eyes. I don't like the word, mate. When your fingers smell after you eat something, you get mustard on. There were ketchup or whatever. It might be literally anything. I don't like the feeling of it. I also don't like disgusted kating hands touching the food that I'm then eating at any time I was germophobe Chi didn't need a pandemic to be a germophobe. So I don't like any of that. So coach Nolan Listen to me. The defense is struggling. I can't help you with that. I don't know what you are, what your 34 should be morphing into. I don't know why your linebackers are struggling as they all. I don't know why you can't cover. I don't know why you're not getting to the quarterback. I can't help you with any of those things. But the Tabasco on the finger I can solve that problem like that Knife and fork for everything, my friend. Trust me. It works back with Muchmore in just a moment Here. You're listening to Greene, Ian Right now a word from draft kings. There is no.

"On Sunday, September 13th Sunday night game, NBC against the Los Angeles Rams. Washington Post is reporting that the White House is being urged to embrace herd immunity. Combat Cove in 19. Apparently, that urging is from one of the president's top medical advisers. Scott Atlas, a neuro radiologist from Stanford's Hoover Institution. Case you did not know. Herd immunity entails allowing the virus to spread through most of the population so that you could just build up resistance to it. Here's the thing. Scott Atlas says he did no such thing. He says that shortly after the post report was issued, he offered a response. Quote. There's no policy of the president or this administration of achieving herd immunity. End quote. And then later said, there never has been any such policy recommended to the president or to anyone else from me. You and charity, Mr. T. We're discussing this in the five o'clock hour and you were discussing the fact that the Washington Post needs to make some kind of a retraction. Well, how do we know that Atlas isn't the one that's not telling the truth? Well, follow up article needs Sounds like a follow up. Article needs to happen either way. Yeah, well, if the Washington Post can prove that, you know, he did say that Didn't know. Retraction necessary. It's like everything else. We all just rush to judgment. I'm not saying that he didn't suggest herd immunity to the president. That he did or he didn't Just say I'm just asking the question. How do we know that he's telling the truth? Maybe he did Time for Brad Shams. Cowboys report. Hi again, everyone. This is today's Dallas Cowboys report. I'm Brad Sham, the Cowboys were about to shift to a new phase of training camp. In fact, they're about to shift out of training camp. They simulated game conditions in a late practice yesterday, and they have today off Wednesday is scheduled as one last phase out of camp and then Thursday. They start working on the opener at the Rams. Time's running out for young players trying to make an impression to make the team or to climb. The depth chart and yesterday appeared to be an active practice for second year defensive tackle Tristan Hill, who is getting a lot of attention from new line coach Jim Tomsula. I like him. Coach Nolan. Uh, Coach McCarthy. I think they're doing outstanding job coaching me up. It's this new scheme. I think I fit well. Excited and excited. Hill would be a big boost for the Cowboys defense. That's today's Cowboys report. I'm Brad Sham. During.

"I mean I mean because there's has no given right that they're going to be able to resign Amari but they might be in a spot to take a guy like Like Jerry Judy I. There's a million receiver I know I know but he jerry. Judy saw devante Smith. And we're GONNA get to his quarterback here in a second devante Smith. That's what I'm trying to do for you just trying to work our way into news here man. That's why you bring good good. That is good but I I I I do though. I think that this this cowboy thing is fascinating Mike. Nolan's a guy who I was around in known for a long time With the Baltimore Ravens. His name is Ben One buck. Three coach prominently is the likely defensive coordinator for the cowboys and Coach Nolan's coach three four. Four three He's multiple. You can do a lot the different so I think he. And he's available now it's level he'll craft. He'll a craft whatever we can around the talent that he has and I do think there are some really good pieces. Although when you go priorities I I know you're talking about receiver read. They need some more playmakers in the back end of their defense. That is safety. They need to safety. They need a big time safety. I think that's the other thing too. They need to upgrade In terms of being dominant right down the middle so mad at you uncertainty with. LV with Venkatesh. You don't know if Sean coming back I think they have to reset and just make sure that right down the middle of their defense and the second level the SL linebackers and the safety they have to make sure they have blue chip players there. Because when you look at the cowboys we don't have glaring weaknesses. Right down the middle. They certainly could upgrade. So you know I think yeah good we can. We can move it on here but we're where everyone's you know we're all in agreement. Are they going to figure out a way to to sign that Prescott Right. I mean that's just one way or another. He's cowboys starting quarterback next year and I thought it was interesting at Tom Pal. Cerro mentioned when he went and spent time with Mike that actually watched a Lotta deck video taping and that was one of the things that really interested did his smart forward. So look that's just Just one more reason why. Maybe the DOTS connected here a little bit but yeah. Let's let's move onto more quarterback news here all right. So here's the big news of the day as it pertains to the NFL draft to. Ah Tong Low A.. Goes in a press conference with Nick Sabin Announces He will be forgoing his college eligibility. He's going to enter the twenty twenty. NFL draft the hip situation kind of clouded. This whole deal. I mean book. I think we always knew. You know he's GonNa come out and likely a top five pick and then unfortunately has that that injury. He's going to be recovering through that now. I tweeted out before the decision was made really. He had three options. I think everybody was kind of making it. A two options situation. Where one you go back to Alabama you you try and prove that your stay healthy and maybe that'll up your stock although the tremendous risk you could get hurt and that would not have been something that would advise number to you? You forget you eligibility you. Enter the draft Although you you're not going to be able to do everything you WanNa do before the draft show your healthy. A little bit of a risk team would be taken on there but you could do rehab with team. Those two options. Everybody talked about the third option which I had heard a lot of in the last week. Some rumblings that maybe maybe he decides to go back to Alabama but doesn't play maybe he goes back and trains and rehabs and uses that entire year to get fully a healthy without risking injury and then entered the twenty twenty one class fully healthy fully cleared fully ready to go. Everybody would just have to operate off your tape from the previous. Two seasons seasons that to me was an option that was presented over the last week. I had heard disgust that. Potentially that could be a way. He went but he did the simple way he he's he's going to enter into the NFL draft your thoughts. What's Buck so my thoughts so here? Here's the deal with me into and I'm probably GONNA go really heavy and go all in. I believe he's the most talented quarterback back in the draft class Believe he's number one quarterback. I believe we were doing this from beginning to end. And we just graduated to tape over to duration of his career. I think we would say that. He is the number one. I believe that people have miscast in terms of who he is who he will be at the pros. So much of the conversation has been about two of being like Russell Wilson and and what I see is to having a game that is more like drew brees than anything else. I think. He's a quick passer. I think he can work the military going down the seams. He also can push it outside. He's a terrific leader and a great worker and I can't see any scenario when it's all said and done that he's not outta top five pick because believe there's a separation between the two guys that are going to be and the tier one category meaning drove Joe Burrow into a and the rest of the guys and I think when people dig into the tape and they look at the separation. I just believe that you pull the trigger onto in even if he has to Richard due to his injuries I think. Can you feel better about the talent then. Risking it all. Somebody else was. Probably in my estimation unless a player. Yeah you know I you know before the injury I mean it was obvious you know I think okay was that was all the talk about. Who's going to finish the number one overall pick? It's all to a right. I mean I think we've been talking about that for for more than more than just a few months here so the question then becomes. How do we start to evaluate his health? And how long does it take. And how quick and team become comfortable with them. I mean I think the team that we most closely associated with from the get-go was the dolphins. Well they're in a position there number five right now where they might still be able to get him. Despite the fact they ended up winning a few more games than we we thought they would but the question then becomes once we start to get a sense of where he is health wise and he said look. The doctors are very optimistic but but we really don't know how quickly the recovery will progress until we get to that three months or four months mark that's going to put us in about the combine right. So Oh how quickly can a team get comfortable with that medical. For instance. Could the bengals become comfortable enough to still make to. Would the number one overall pick and are they a team. That's willing to do that like all right. So let's take the injury out of it. What kind of system? Dj would kind of fit. What kind of team Kinda head coach? But your offense coordinator makes the most out of to what kind of what kind of team gets it in that regarding can accentuate his skill set. The best is there. Is there a team team out there in that top ten that fits the billing more than another while you know. It's interesting I can make a case. skillset wise obviously ones left right handed but burrow grow in very similar skill sets to me when she that's interesting they can be on the surface. Nobody thinks about that. No and I do. I think I think has a little more arm strength. I don't think either one of them have huge huge arms. Like seen from some of these guys in the past has a little more I think has a little more twitch to uh-huh whoa just how he operates with his feet and with his arms just a little bit more twitch there. I think borough is a little bit better as a runner to a can run just chooses not to do it very much. The borough has a little bit better. Feel kind of moving around doing those things but so when we talk about scheme fit right. I think these guys fits similar teams. Now you just look at where you WANNA go. And the Miami Dolphins with Chan Gailey Chan Gailey spent time in the collegiate game Shankill if I remember correctly was with Kordell Stewart in Pittsburgh when they were doing some creative things with him. So he's going to know how to use the athleticism of either one of these quarterbacks that he would have. Now let's assume borough goes it was one to Cincinnati as we've been doing to me too I I would put his floor there at the dolphins can't see them passing him at five and if for some unreason Justin Herbert were volt backup. which is another interesting draft shirts and with the way he kind of finished out the year? If Somehow Herbert ended up leapfrogging frogging him. Then you're sitting there. With the Los Angeles chargers team getting ready to move into a new building that neiman eastern buzz for this franchise and and it would be a major coup to land to or there with the sixth overall. Pick to kind of jump. Start that franchises. They go into a new era. LemMe ask you let me ask you this in Buckhead could let me get your thoughts on a two though with the chargers. Do you feel like be comfortable doing that. If they are of the mindset that they're not gonna be able to count on him in year one. If Philip rivers moved on why you bring back rivers well I wouldn't. I wouldn't move on from Philip Rivers. I Bring Back Philip Rivers. I would bring back Philip rivers for this first year in the new stadium. You're in no rush to be buck when you draft to a and I don't know all the medical yet but I if I'm looking at it from where I sit. This is a redshirt year are maybe we're blown away and surprise he plays. I am drafting him. What the full intention? He is not playing a snap. I don't care if the doctors tell me. Seventy five eighty ninety I am not putting him on an NFL fulfil to. He was one hundred percent healthy physically healthy but but mentally and emotionally ready to go. And I I look well you have to look at Mahomes to see what a year to sit. Benefited benefited him. I wouldn't even plan on playing next year so wherever drafts and better if somebody else ready to go yeah I think the chargers thing is interesting because I think before you can make the decision I do. I believe they have to have a real conversation about Philip rivers in how he fits On the outside looking in. Obviously I don't have anything. Do one about the relationship between Philip and Anthony Lynn and and how they can navigate like kind of playing the way that maybe Anthony Lynn visits. Philip rivers continues to be the gunslinger. But I do believe if you have a bridge quarterback in place place. It will work the Miami Dolphins situation to me strikes me as the best because they already have bridge quarterback in place in Ryan. Patrick Ryan Fitzpatrick has already shown that he is willing to be the good soldier when it comes to that we also saw the dolphins win some at the end of the year with Ryan Patrick. The Chan Gailey addition. Really is interesting to me because I don't believe people really understand what Chang Gaily has done in this league when it comes to bring in the college game into it people will talk about Kordell Stewart. But I don't know if they really realized Lasdak Chan Gailey. When he was in Kansas City he brought the spread to the national football league with Tyler thigpen as his quarterback we're running arpaio's and pistol staw and all of those things success and then going to buffalo? He did it again. We're Ryan Fitzpatrick if you're looking for someone who has the creativity in depth ability. It'll it'll be a perfect fit in my mind to have two in Miami restaurant in behind Ryan Fitzpatrick while learning. An offense does should be really made for him and look I know we gotta get Get into the wild card games takeaways here but last two things that I'm curious about if the chargers don't go there if the dolphins don't go to the chargers don't go to get the panthers there's at seven they would they think about it when they think about what the Jaguars nine..

"CBS sports radio all would come down the home stretch the matter of fact I got to tell the top of the hour I'll get in as many calls as I can Jody back man J. O. D. Y. M. A. C. M. A. and update on the NFL playoffs the Seahawks levy eagles three to nothing and Carson Wentz is left the game took a shot I've seen the video I am and I can't see a replay of again I'm getting some hits on Twitter from people and I don't know if they are right giggle fans but they say it was a dirty yet by Clowney that he attempted to hit a man now made as when it was going down on a play my first impression was that that wasn't the case that it was accidental but Carson Wentz left the field went into the tent I'm guessing here but I believe it's pretty good gas did not pass the concussion protocol because he was then ushered back into the locker room so Josh McCown is leading eagles back out on to the field account had one possession so far to read out loud eagles just got to stop those of the Seahawks appointed it back to him the eagles are to pin down inside their own ten yard line the judge what counts got to try and lead a drive here as we get the midway through the second quarter with the Seahawks up over the eagles three not Dennis from myrtle beach could not check in on the lines damage on CBS sports radio Hey Jodie thanks for taking my call over in big trouble if if they've called camp come back but what I want to talk about was a little bit about only Rome all last night doing that game he sounded like the cat that ate the mouse regarding Tom Brady's user I don't know if you you felt the same way I did but I don't think he's coming back to the patriots I agree with you I think the perfect fit for him is gonna be out Las Vegas I think if he signed a two year deal with the Las Vegas raiders you know by by David Carr okay bring in Josh McDowell McDaniel as as the say for a couple years and then he takes over for Gruden bring in Antonio brown they wrap the receiver from Alabama beauty maybe grog comes back I think you could put on a big show out there and in Vegas for two years forty thanks man you painted a in depth picture there with a whole bunch of things that have next to no chance of happening what they need and you gave me your scenario now I'll tell you why I don't think I can see that transpiring what made shooting John Gruden's going to hire his replacement David he's gonna just get Josh McDaniel to come in and be the coach in waiting any offense of going there in the first place he's only got eight years to go on his contract so why not hire a coach who is gonna sit for eight years as the year apprentice out there I don't think so number two what makes you think did good is going to give up the control any op ed steady body or operator what would grow been gone for a couple years out there he's walking even has a job what what wears a landing spot for Brady if I mean certainly Dallas if they want to move back somewhere P. brings a man there to America's team they give jobs with Daniel the head coaching job well there you go you got Brady there for a couple you see what you're trying to do is you're trying to make the evidence for the crime and it doesn't work that way at well if this happens if they moved out to K. data open it up for Tom Brady I know he's the greatest quarterback of all time that's my estimation numero uno best to ever play the game but we're talking about Tom Brady in the year two thousand twenty he just had his worst season as an NFL starting quarterback he's not going to be see able to subtract a year from his age he's going to like all of us have to add another year to his age so teams are not going to go out of their way dump their quarterback fired their coach get an opening for a guy who's may be may be going to be okay quarterback back fear don't know that and it's highly unlikely is going to be a top five performer in the league at his advanced age so right now it's going to have to be the perfect fit and I don't think it's going to be the perfect fit I did you stay in port right where yes I don't think he's leaving New England now here's the good news I don't know that he's got a magic potion I don't know that he's ever run into plans daily own I don't know did the fountain of youth can get Tom Brady back to being a top level quarterback I think that bill Belichick is still a damn close to the top of his game and I think they can improve that team and I think they can get him better weapons but I don't think Brady is going to snap his fingers where is says special pajamas and come back like Tom Brady circa two thousand and eleven I just don't think that's happening but nor do I think he's moving and going on to another team Chris from Jackson builds up on CBS sports radio a crash he you're listening in on new years here I was very responsible with the impact our Russian water I was drinking at all que you you you you didn't finish the order jog now now is very responsible digit good man right now yeah I heard you say earlier Ewing you can see him staying in New England and I could do but should he moved what about the team that just lost a couple minutes ago and no Orleans let's say you're breeze retires and let's say that Terry Bridgewater gets an offer from the Panthers o'er the box yeah I mean go to Tabriz gonna want a good offense of line New Orleans has that and a great offers of mine head coach Nolan has that as well could you imagine if by some chance that Sean Payton and Tom Brady guy as together and decided to do some all right answer me a question okay sure who do you think was the better quarterback this year Tom Brady your drew Brees justice Caesar breed no doubt okay no doubt so why do you think breeze is going to retire in Brady's going to play on well I mean we saw all world breeze played earlier and I wasn't very great and see how Brady played yesterday all right he got he got demolished but he still might have the desire to play longer than than breeze okay has breeze said any point mentioned retirement no but I mean if it's on it's on the table I'm I'm colonel with you I think he's probably going to stay in the one one but if we're just having the discussion of him going somewhere New Orleans and maybe ending is probably the only place that can bring realistically scene rating going and and I'm not discounting indoors saying it's impossible it's going to happen I'm just stating a fact my opinion dead I do think drew Brees is a more viable quarterback option to play like a top ten quarterback Nick here then is Brady so if you're a drew Brees says I'm going to continue to play I don't think New Orleans says all right well you're free agent good luck we wish you the best and we're going to recap Tom Brady no it has to be breeze decides to retire then if that happened your scenario could very well play out I'm stating I don't think Brady's retiring I'm stating I don't think drew Brees is retiring turn out but I mean I I I I guess I I did Seabreeze retiring before Brady for whatever reason maybe is there was a Netflix Tom versions time thing I saw but shop I'm saying I'm with you should your breeze retired then the only rival all should be New Orleans is a potential landing spot for Brady will agree on that but I'm yeah yeah yeah absolutely journey let your Sir talking out appreciated and glad you stayed responsible on new year's eve with the Russian water I'd never heard of collectible before vodka Russian water again I yeah I appreciated that when he laid it on me you sit back relax and have a little rest Warner where is Tom Brady gonna play next year is Tom Brady gonna play next year these are all questions that will kick around in part over the next several weeks if not several months we got to get to the entire playoffs in the Superbowl before free agency kicks in and it'll be quiet on the western front between now and then we had day good reporter on from NASA earlier Zack **** and he said he does not see almost same chance of Tom Brady sitting down with bill ballot Jack and the owner of the patriots and cutting a deal before free agency kicks in that he is for the first time ever going to truly Sally's wears on the open market here's the problem in the issue he's coming off a bad season and he's getting a year older he's a he's added value in certain places or that's why I at least cracked a smile when my body gave me is an area where you had I'm going to Vegas because that's sort of like what's happening in Los Angeles the charges are moving into a new building football has in judge ballooned in Los Angeles since the return of both the rams and the teacher and the Chargers rams playing in the Coliseum charges plane in that Ricky Dinky soccer stadium but they play in that half of the games the opposing team as many fans in the stadium as the charges so the charger fan base did not take an old in LA so if you're bringing in Tom Brady fresh added value I get it going into Vegas could be added value if you hate Tom Brady to the mix between you and me I didn't break is going to do much better than less Angelus part do I think that dad they'll sell the place out because they'll be a fan base for the raiders add and it'll be the best destination plays in the National Football League for fans who want to go watch their team play on the road if you're gonna go somewhere you want to do you wanna go to Vegas it will break you sin and by the way see my team so I don't think they have that desire that need to add value by bringing in a guy like Tom Brady I don't think the rate is going to do that I think they've chopped he is going to move off David Carr it's going to be for the likes of it to a ton of aloha a guy who's going to be as quarterback for the next however many years not Tom Brady for one year to usher in a new stadium that's not John Gruden's way of doing things he's trying to build a championship team and win another Super ball I know why yeah I don't think that those are landing spots for me I don't think there is another landing spot I think Brady's going back to Baltimore I was coming back to New England I don't think he's going to take a run anywhere else I just don't see it and I dig bell checked is staying put too I did updating you on the NFC playoffs we know that the Vikings already took out the St disappointing loss by the same today I thought they were stone cold lock to win at home by to breeze highlight Tom Brady didn't exactly finish the no a year on a high note I had a pretty darn good year just a couple of weeks ago set the record for most touchdown passes ever by a quarterback set the record for you best passing pre change when you go twenty nine of thirty thirty thirty one against Indianapolis somewhere along those lines and we had to heck man here eat now now is is called steam going down in flames but he did not finish up his season strongly with the post season ouster in the first game which gets us to the second game of the wild card weekend eagles Seahawks a low scoring defense about fair in Philadelphia Seahawks lead it right now three nothing in the second Josh McCown is in a quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles the veteran who's been with half of the National Football League retired signed on with the S. P. N. to do analysts work for them eagles came a call laying in August when their backup quarterback Nate Seinfeld went down with any injury in preseason and a cold stretch out of retirement he has held the clipboard for the eagles due to fully all year buying Carson Wentz he now is the guy who's going to have to pilot the eagles to potential win he did just driving down look like a big completion by twenty five yard it to Goddard tight end to get the eagles into scoring position drive stalled but Jake Elliott has just booted a field goal to tighten things up three three three minutes to go in the first.

"It seems like you're playing that role for a lot of younger guys that became my my mission into show people just like coach knows showed me <hes> you can't just poor everything into your sport into football <hes> you can't poor everything into your job. You have got to honor Christ I and if you do <hes> you'll be in good shape when when when I started going to those Bible Studies <hes> our chaplain one of the first versus he talked about was First Corinthians chapter nine were Paul says well you know in a race everybody runs but only one runner gets first prize so run to win and that that was exciting to me to hear you know the guy does want us to be excellent into run to win but then Paul goes on to say make sure you're running the right race. Don't just run in this race that Wurley race and you're GONNA get a prize. That's GonNa fade away. You better make sure you're winning the spiritual race and gets first place in that and man I heard that and it just lift them in a lot of ways I saw where these guys were in terms terms of their football. Hey It's our job to be excellent to be the best we can every single day practice game preseason game. Super Bowl doesn't matter were planned same way because that's what God wants but then said and we've we've got be excellent parents. We've gotta be excellent husbands. We gotta be excellent. <hes> ambassadors for the Lord everything we do has to be on that level especially spiritually and and that that's when my life really changed and and I wanted to try to pass that on to other people <hes> one of my mom's favorite verses in the Bible is Matthew Sixteen Twenty six and she said tests over and over and over while I was growing up what does the prophet a man to gain the whole world world but forfeiture soul and <hes> you know I heard that so many times grown up then when I got to national football league I saw it I saw Gaz. Get everything that you could get from world is damn point notoriety diety fame money super bowl rings <hes> but be a mess spiritually in an head there lies spiral out of control and I just didn't want that for the players that I coached on once I got into the coaching profession yeah <hes> we've got a lot of young Dad's listening to this <hes> show I think for a lot of us my peers yama young data young husband and this is trying to figure out there's there is so much that especially in this season late twenties early thirties where we're really we're trying to oh man up you know we're trying to figure out what it looks like to be a man and be a good husband could be good be a good father and really provide for our family and I think for many of us especially millennials. We're like constantly hoping that there's something around the next corner you you know that we're finally getting ourselves establish so even just hearing you say that as a young dad it's impactful for me to engage in all of that who cares but at the end of the day if you're not if you're not seeking after Jesus and you're being a good husband father like you know who cares yeah I think the world world has tricked us into thinking that being a good day at his gotTa Take Care of my wife and love her yes but I've got to provide for my family if I do that then I'm good dad yeah if my kids have bicycles if they have good schools goals if if they have all the things they need in life to succeed than than I've been a good dead and that's only a fraction of it. That's a small part of course you WANNA provide that but if you don't build into them spiritually if you don't <hes> <hes> help them grow as people then you're you're. You're not you know we bought into the wrong things and <hes> as I think back my dad's been passed away in two thousand four and I as I think back now remember all the Good Times Times I had with him. It wasn't big trips or when he bought me a new bicycle or and it was going to ballgames and taking a walk with him and playing catch in the park and Gwen and watching going to his <hes> classroom Rome and looking at his microscopes and m just spending time with me and <hes> you know that that we some times lose that that that we've got to do something special and it's the little things and showing our our kids Christ <hes> that's going to those are going to be the things we're GONNA remember. What would you have anything to say to the guy who's like you know there's actually a lot of good dads out there <hes> but a lot of engaged ads out there when I go the park I see a lot of guys my age slide down the slide allied with kids and really trying to gauge as much as they can but I I think there are a lot of guys who just feel stuck when it comes to try to point their family toward Jesus they like I can play with my kids? I can throw a ball but I don't know how to tell them about God. I'M NOT GONNA leaning towards Jesus so you know and the first thing yeah really is just our relationship and making sure that we're on the right page with Laura and then if we do that it's just a matter of showing the kids that Hey I'm engaged churches important to me among my Bible reading time is important. <hes> doing what God says is important and you know. That's the way to pointed out. Hey Watch me. I'm not perfect but I'm trying to do the right things and I'm trying to be engaged aged. The Lord and it's important to me if you can just show your kids that <hes> a relationship with Christ is valuable to you and meaningful to you. They're going to pick up the things they need from that. It's so good man <hes> I've been reading your books all week to my kids. They love them. <hes> one sitting right next to me we chose you about adoption and laid forever love that such a good book but we've been reading the whole series of books. Tell us about that. Yeah I got ask after we won the Super Bowl to do a book. <hes> and I wrote a kind of an autobiography called quiet strength <hes> the first time ever thought about even writing <hes> and that became a bestseller and <hes> got a lot of accolades from that which was gratifying the people on that that helped them but then a company came and ask us about writing children's books and my wife Laura and one of the projects that they did when when I was coaching <hes> her wives CBS group used to go out and read to <hes> schools in our neighborhoods around the stadium and they would read the first and second graders and donate books and talk to them about learning and growing academically and it was an awesome program. My Wife said there weren't a lot of books for them to read that number one were good and entertaining but had a message and then there weren't a lot of books with diversity with with diverse characters where you'd see a African American Hispanic boys girls young old and so cast trying to find books that head diversity that had a good message and were well done and so we said well maybe we can write a couple <hes> that way you'll have something to take around and and so the kids and and to read so that was really the idea behind the first project and we did one called <hes> you can do it which was about <hes> trying to find your purpose persson life and then you can be a friend was the second one we did that was a girl moved in who had a disability and <hes> our daughter didn't WanNa be friends with her because she thought she wouldn't be any fun and so we talked about reaching out to everyone because that's what God would want us to do and so those were the first two and since then we've done ten more <hes> and so we got twelve children's books out and it's been a lot of fun with just these messages. There's about honesty and friendship and <hes> listening to your parents and sharing <hes> each one kind of has a <hes> theme behind it and it's been pretty awesome to to do and to see into be able to give kids these books yeah we've been. We've got a whole stack of them right now on our dining room table kids have been read them all day every day. So yeah just objective I'll tell you they're they're great there. I've got an eight and six year old to a reading. I've got a seven month old as well but <hes> yeah but my older kids are reading them every day and they're loving them so you do you guys did a great job will thank you thank you <hes> my listeners will be upset with me. If I don't ask you some football questions. They love the Jesus stuff for sure. It's why they come here but give us some football highlights man just in your career. What what are some things that stick out to you? Just you know when you're looking back on the legacy left well. I got the Pittsburgh steelers in nineteen seventy seven and <hes> miraculously made the team <hes> became became a part of a super bowl winning team in one thousand nine hundred eighty. We want super bowl thirteen and that was the highlight of my playing career. <hes> just an awesome time to be part of a a championship team while then two years later. I was actually done playing which is the the story for most people it's not long glamorous glorious careers mine was three years and then coach nolls asked me if I wanted to join the coaching staff so at twenty five I became part of the steelers coaching being staff. <hes> had a fifteen year career as an assistant and then in nineteen ninety six. I got the head coaching job of the Tampa Bay buccaneers they had had thirteen straight losing seasons and everyone told me not to go. There was a bad situation. The box would never win. They were terrible. <hes> it was bad ownership. Everybody all the negatives <hes> but I just felt like the Lord was directed me there and the my second year we made the playoffs first time in fifteen years isn't <hes> had had a wonderful time there. I should got fired by the bucks because we became playoff-caliber Tame but we never won the super bowl and <hes> the owners felt like they needed someone to take him to the next step in next level so I got fire in two thousand one and two thousand two I went to Indianapolis and <hes> joined up where the gentleman by the name of Peyton Mann there and that was pretty fortunate for me. <hes> we ended up having seven very very good John Fund years in Indianapolis and we want Super Bowl forty one <hes> will be the Chicago bears and that was probably the highlight of my coaching career in two thousand six <HES> and I I enjoyed the national football league. I was thirty one years as a player in coach had some great <hes> opportunities some great fun times but learned a lot and <hes> a our chapel programs <hes> were tremendous. I grew spiritually and then ah when I was a head coach especially <hes> was really my goal to be like coach Nolan so guys how to play the game but also <hes> get across them. Don't put everything in the sports basket. Prepare yourself for life after football and <hes> do things to give back to the community and be part of it and had so many guys that did that <hes> I think I had five players in my thirteen years that one the N._F._l.. Man of the year war <hes> for for all feel contributions solutions and that was gratifying so <hes> <hes> we live in the Tampa Bay area still now and and have guys who are still there living who done some tremendous things <hes> Derrick Brooks the hall of fame linebacker but he's started a charter school <hes> in Tampa. That's been awesome. <hes> work done was one of our other great players. <hes> he started a program called homes for.

"So and then also you have a sister coaches that you know, how that Michigan state for sixteen years, and you can't get a multimillion dollar job quest. How are you not blaming the parents of the kids, you know, who send their kids to these programs? See like, for example, let me hear me out champ. Here's what I'm saying to you. You know, and I don't worry about it. People point to me like you just did whatever listen, I've talked about all of these issues over the years. You're gonna talk about it every day, you make the noise you make the noise, and if people don't respond to they don't respond to it. So be it. But here's the deal. You have a sport basketball sport, a football, high generating revenue sports, okay, predominantly African Americans playing in these sports where do they choose to go? We John Thompson. He won the national championship. We are John chainey approved to be an exceptional coach Nolan Richardson won the national championship in college basketball, as well when we talk about these programs, you have people who choose to send their kids. You got kids who choose to go. Elsewhere. You got kids who's been -fluenced by a you coaches, high school, coaches, etc. Etcetera, I'm not saying that anybody should be absolved. But ultimately people are going to make decisions that they wanna make that they deem to be best for themselves. So if they choose Calipari Kentucky or they choose coach K at Duke or they choose ROY Williams at North Carolina. Whatever the case may be what are people supposed to do? No. That's not what I'm saying. You that's a whole another topic. What I'm telling you that I know. For example, Tony Jones help your boy, Bruce Pearl over Arben. He was assistant coach you all these coaches that are successful is because the black assistant is doing all the work for them. And getting in the best players to commit when I hate me out when I'm stayed in this if you're able to help coach K Tom Izzo Bill suffering those guys when they alive for the next job the media highlight. Oh, that's the next. Great guy. The same way do for the NFL coaches. That's the same way for the NPS his for his unfair about what you're saying. It's almost impossible to know who does what specifically and less the coach shines a light on this on this aborting it who's doing the production. So let's say hypothetically, right? Roy Williams that North Carolina, Stephen a Smith, and chant. And rob or somebody all recruit for the program if the coach is reluctant to give Sean to one assistant because he's protective of the whole body of a cysts the public. It's almost virtually impossible for us to know that that one particular system is the one that did all the dirty work that helped recruit individual stars that come to a program that helped elevate the program. So how are you able to know who deserves what a clean and less the head man at the program is willing to give that a claim to those specific individuals. I I totally agree. That's another point the bottom line is again, I think that needs to be runny rule where these guys get interviews because it's not totally agree with that totally up prime example NATO with from Michigan. Once they championship Rama's high-school. Great friends with Bobby. Hurley Bobby Hurley one that buffalo came in a ready made positioning still on now, he's Alabama. But when I'm saying, it's a host of other coaches across the country and the name of the game is about getting players. Well, the best players. Unfortunately, ghetto. Fortunately, are black and they had the relationship you're where good enough to recruit it. We're good enough to come to your house. We good enough to take phone calls for you get these players you wide not highlight at the next big time. That's your question. Here's my question. It was primarily brothers that got arrested and that whole that whole scam. Mean the Chuck persons of the guys you got a whole bunch guide..
