"Just so marvin. Gaye has surprised lombardi and mel farr by asking them to be on one of the most iconic songs of all time. But that was not the only surprise. Somehow that this guy had in store for the two of them because what did he tell them that he wanted to do next. Okay so now. Mara was like all right. So y'all we're teammates with me in the studio now. I wanna be teammates. Which oh and so again in miller like What what's going on here like no pun intended. What's going on. Bay came to learn that marvin would dead serious about playing professional football like in the nfl professional envy there were no video game systems. Marvin couldn't create himself on man. You wanted to be in the game. Because martin saw this as an extension of their brotherhood. He really saw these guys. You know as long lost brothers. Wait hold on a second year because just in the people in. Marvin's life who know of his aspirations. Here what are they telling him as he is saying now that he wants to become a real life detroit lion. So he tells smokey robinson smokey robinson said here insane probably more co for language. But he said dude. You're insane and so now. He's telling his brother. Frankie that yeah i want to try out for the lines. I wanna play in the nfl. And this is marvin gaye quote to his brother when frankie asked him like. Why the have the even thinking about doing this and he says and i quote. I'd rather catch pass and score a touchdown in tiger stadium. Been rack up. Another goal record. This do serious about this man. He was he was very serious about this about this. You've got a thirty one year old with no athletic experience in whatsoever trying to plant this. Sounds like the plot line from a yet to be filmed kevin hart. It's absurd like at the very least when you step into a studio and you have no musical training like your life is an at risk and in this case like what are the actual football players. What are bardy and far. What are they telling marvin when they hear that this is his plan now credited to mellon low. Because you know when you got homeboys your homeboys you tell you like man. I don't think this is a good idea. I'm i'm a ride. I which like if you try low cost me anything martin. Like truly dedicates himself like he ran multiple maoz a day with mellon limb. He was really taking this seriously now in their minds. They understood like this greatly. These getting in shape if he's still not gonna make the teams in. Marvin's is he's thinking like yo throw. This is my chance to make the nfl. Like i'm really gonna do this so they take the idea to the team. Yes so how does that go there. The funny thing about it. When i spoke to joe schmidt who is the coach of the lions at the time. He's really funny telling this story. There's this sequence of them gone to coach mitten like a. I'm wanna run something by you and just see it will bring marvin gaye practice. I guess so but he it even like the practice see. If you could make the team how can we make cheap man. He likes with only run as a football player. I like to say. I can't say the guy likes football and he can run. Yeah that's not quite enough to get a head. Coach legitimately interested not marvin gaye. Marvin gaye not motown marvin gaye. Not you're all. I need to give by. Marvin gaye was like yeah coach. He wants to drought for the team and see the thing is we kinda told him he could get one. It was like what and so eventually man they convince them to do it. Schmidt even then couldn't even really articulate why he had a change of heart and by all right. just just tell him to come on. You know what i mean like. It's time to come out here. Like i can't guarantee you anything and when i spoke to lombardia about this moment but he got really really excited even over phone. You could see the smile on his face. He remembers the phone call vividly. Marvin and i'll read it out. So barney calls marvin gaye and barney's by guess what marvins by what's up. What is it barney's like coach. Mitt wants to meet you. Marvin gaye loses it. He was like. I knew this is it. This is my shot on the drive. I'll come pick you up in the limo. He was just so fired up and he put on you know a three piece suit and not obviously not the trial but he wanted to make a good impression coachman like he was really serious as a casual free agent to be. Does you wear your suit. And you show up to the football team by coach schmidt. I'm ready to play. And so you know he talks what schmidt and of course you know. He's really nice guy and they have a great conversation. But the thing is schmidt figured marvin played football at some point in time like he didn't he didn't have any footage from college is he never attended college. He didn't have any footage from high school because he didn't play in high school. He dropped out at seventeen and enlisted in the air force. So schmitz assume he at least played in high school. It's worth mentioning to hear like joe schmidt the head coach of the lions. That dude is a hall of famer like he is no joke. He's a serious dude so when he relents and says all right. Let's give marvin gaye a tryout. What did this tryout really look like. In how did marvin gaye do though. The drought itself. It was about in front of twenty people on the field and in the bleachers combined. It's important to note that before. The drought officially started marvis at a prayer with lombardia mel far. That's how important this was. Don't marvin tried out for for several positions including running back and tight in. Why receiver fullback poached mitt. Who recalled the trial man. This do acted like a consummate pro. Doing whatever coach might ask lineup. Wherever you needed to do was it was very cultural. He knows nothing else you could say. Marvin gaye was not a diva when it came through football.

"Here comes the interview. I have been following Bernard Alvarez on the Internet for quite some time I always enjoyed his video presentations on youtube about all kinds of magical and oh call subjects always struck me was his really brought rolled and at the same time indepth knowledge of the matter if he talks to you about witchcraft or croly about the golden dawn or about activism he always really knows what he's talking talking about in a way that makes it clear at his knowledge is not only theoretical what I did not know before I did this injury with him was that the Youtube personality that Bernard is has been active since the very first days of that media actually and it was a wonderful meeting. I had whisper Nar to this interview. I think he will be able to hear that. It was the most joyous and at the same time very deep deep meeting and talk there is an extremely open minded person and his message is clear. We live in a time where integrity leadership bent spirituality are needed and we better become that example ourselves so it is now hired time that you can listen for yourself to Bernard here we go. I am extremely happy today to welcome somebody very special on this author is podcast and somebody would have liked to speak for a long time already Bernard others hibernates so lovely to have you with us to you. Call yourself on your website. The spiritual coach Mitt Physicians sacred activists so lots of things to talk about on this test greetings to you. Thank you for giving us a time and some pleasure to be here. I know we've talked about doing this for quite a while. It's nice to finally be here. Spend time with you today. Oh definitely thanks for having been so patient with me. You are real youtube personality not so I get her. Many people people who are on this podcast already heard about you at least or seen shows of yours read the book. Maybe becoming too that the bit later you're just told me that forty percent of your audience on Youtube actually European wait I think he's very interesting because because of course this European podcast and I'm happy to have you also agrees with me today but I think it would be nice anyway. If you were willing to tell the audience a little bit about yourself about your background and especially what brought you to be and to do what you are today and what you what made you the person that you are today and the well the activists also that today a lot of mistakes made me who I am seriously I I grew up in Miami Florida. I am a half native American half Irish and I was adopted by a Cuban family as Cuban mother and a Hispanic father who raised in Spain so I had a very interesting cultural upbringing going up in Miami Florida Florida with especially within the metaphysical and or the called I was surrounded about around with the Caribbean flavors of the call century of Voodoo and everything else that comes along with <hes> you know the Haitian Cuban Puerto Rican society down there so some of the members of my family were involved in Santa Maria so I was always very curious about it now. My family was very devout Catholic and of course went through all the rigmarole going through confirmation and catechism and all of that stuff and I love the I love the the Mass I love the ritual I would. I Love Incense. I love the candles and from an early age I was experiencing a lot of what people would call paranormal experiences and I kind of like put them together and realize or some kind of witchy stuff going on here and so immediately when I was old enough to read and give it a library card I would you would find me in the occult section of the Public Library much to the not to the liking of my mother specifically at least the my mother's side of the family she wants to Catholic the League site off the Tammy Berry very devout and then they converted the pentecostal which is even more things them but so I you know growing up and moving into adolescence adolescence I started putting together the paranormal experiences for example would have visions and my dreams of prophetic visions and I would see things before they happen and I would tell my mother and she'll be like Oh don't tell your father other high in which how old are you then. When that happened started easily when I was severing eight or nine years old yeah like that what happened again seeing spirits and whatnot moving through my room floating over my head and actually I had the ability to read the regular decks of play cards and I would read them like Tarot deck easily at the age of eight or nine years old and it just came naturally looking back? Everyone's like oh well. You remembered that from a pass life you've always known how to read throw and I wish I still remembered how to read the regular playing cards unfortunately as those of us who studied this type of work as we get older we seem to forget all the wisdom and knowledge we carried with us this particular particular lifetime so I took it upon myself go ahead and self study witchcraft and I didn't know what at the time I had never heard of Wicca or paganism or anything like that I grew up with Catholicism is on and Sanitary Voodoo and all I really new and I went on the back of a I don't know if you guys have it and Europe the national enquirer. It's one of those rags like not anyway they were awful and my mother used to get read all the articles about the stars and whatnot and the back there was an ad of how to learn which so learn witchcraft and I spent the money I got the book okay and I started reading it and started practicing all of the exercises and there and being thirteen years old. I thought I knew everything decided. I'M GONNA start a coven. You know I laugh. You're looking back so I got involved with a bunch of other kids that were involved that were interested in the occult and basically and we were more of a study group and we just would read which scrapbooks and the graveyard at midnight and thought we were witches and <music> but then things even more paranormal things started happening and it took me. I won't say it took me down dark path but it exposes me to a lawn of dark and when I say Dr Again it's all relative of what you what you would consider Darva. Let's just say very uncomfortable and traumatic energy and visions and things that I did not want to be around some of the young people hanging around with gun involved with a local satanic group and I don't even know if you want to call it through Canada. I don't know if they were demonic or black magic. I didn't know that correct terminology of what that group was but we would actually go harass them in the woods and run into the rituals and have them chase suicide of the woods and whatnot things like animal sacrifice and later learned that there was some a lot of criminal activity going on painted all these demonic faces on the tree tree stumps and the tree the trees around them and then again. It's all relative what you consider dark or life but through fourteen year old that's some scary stuff sure yes yes and so as as my life progressed spiritually and whatnot I again I started seeing visions. I had an instance where I saw the friends that I had mentioned who got involved with. Satanic Group had division in my bedroom late at night and north Miami beach and my how my room was in the back of the house and my parents was literally diagonal. We had a fairly large house or South Florida. You know it's sure expensive for us from four bedroom. House with a full is kind of big down there and I had to go use the restroom and I was scared to go to the bath. 'cause I'm had this in pending feeling of darkness so I would have to walk through through the down there. We have what we call a Florida Room. I would have to walk through the Florida Room through the dining room through the kitchen through the hallway all the way to get to the bathroom and the entire time moving through the star accounts. I had this impending feeling doing something awful going to happen and as I open the bathroom door and turn the light on the bathroom carton flew up and they're standing before me was an image of bafflement with sitting upon my friend and that's what I saw and he was being suffocated by baffle mets sitting on Hawk was looking at me asking for help or just how this fear that's Sarim is on its face being against suffocated by this image and again moving forward now having the knowledge of bathroom again as a positive negative dependents how you are. You're the but for me as a fifteen year old was very stadium and to see so I decided I was going to become a born again. Christian sounded like easier way at that time pornos like Jesus added involved in back going. I didn't say born again Chris. I didn't mean born again but boarding here in Catholic going back to church again and all of that stuff and during the late teens of course you know I don't know how it is especially in Miami Florida growing up during the eighties we experimented with a lot of different types of mind altering substances and I got a little became a party boy and decided you know I want to clean up my act. And decided to go into recovery and it was in recovery that I hadn't met my first Wickham and they expose me to the concept of Wicca and what it was and I went to a bookstore I picked up stock Cunningham's wicca Eh for the solitary practitioner mission back in one thousand nine hundred ninety one. I WANNA say nine hundred ninety one rendre new book at that time win then yes fairly new and I've actually and when I read his philosophy the idea of of focusing primarily on the goddess and the idea of Moon Goddess and worshiping and aligning yourself with cycles of of the lunar calendar of the solar solar calendar and performing rituals and magic not only to align yourself in waging you're align your spirit with the cycles but to have the ability to create change changed through will was very fascinating to me and rang true to me. I lined with it. I felt it. I ate it up. Of course I went on reading just about every other book that was out there. Buckling drawing down the Moon Margo Atler <music> alicja rallied dion affords and everybody and everything I could I absorbed that that information and at this point I was living in clearwater Florida which is a Tampa Saint Peter's on the Gulf coast of Florida right and I was living in a small two-bedroom cottage close to the Gulf of Mexico and my just gone a new landlord but at that point I had already been gone to develop my my pagan community or back then my wicked community and we did we did a create a coven of sorts and one of the bedrooms was turned into an altar room. It hadn't Black Tile Black curtains and we we went the round of the Egyptian traditions with the rectangular alter and images of Isis Emma Cyrus and so we ended up getting this you landlord well and Florida a rains a lot and we get a lot of hurricanes and unfortunately the old wooden cottage I was living in sprang a leak league and back bedroom became flooded and I came home one day to see that someone had rearranged the ultra room and started pulling up tiles and I was like oh great. The newland Lord knows where practicing with I am room.
