New York Retailers Grapple With Pandemic On Small Business Saturday

"On this big shopping weekend. Today is small business Saturday on small businesses are struggling, so they love to get a visit or an order from you. Today, state Senator Brad Oilman is co sponsoring legislation called the Manhattan Mom and Pop Tax Relief Act. It would suspend the commercial rent tax during the pandemic. For small businesses that have a base rent of less than a million dollars a year. Let's make sure that everyone's paying the same rate on these types of taxes. And the competitors have a level playing field in which to try toe, you know, rack up sales during the holiday season, which is going to be hard enough already, as it is. It's a tax, currently charged only to Manhattan, small businesses below 96 Street. 3.9% of the rent. Even if you're not shopping in person to stay safe this weekend, many small businesses are taking orders online. Joseph Garcia has the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce on Long Island. It's really important for people to choose small business this year. We're really starting out with a big disadvantage coming out of the lockdowns. Most of the very large retailers were able to stay open, using online and other means, so it's really important for a small businesses to keep them open next year. We need people to patronize them

Deals for Black Friday 2020

"We need to put the bat signal up for one of the top tech gurus in the world from U. S a today and so many other great publications that literally Jennifer Jolly Jennifer. Welcome to WGN. Thank you so much for having me. Well, it's great to have you. I mean, obviously, this is a busy busy time of year. I think people are always kind of leaning on you to help guide them in as many ways as possible. But this is a time of year where everybody starts flipping the switch. From the turkey. Certainly we're gonna have that food all weekend long. But start thinking. Okay. What's out there? What am I going to need? What are people gonna want And where do I get it right? Yeah. And how do we know that we're actually getting the best deals? You know, all of a sudden this frenzy has started. The good thing about this year is what we're all pretty much suck at home. So instead of having to go out and camp out, you know long lines outside these big box stores. We just have to wait with our finger poised over the check out now, But me on our laptops. That's good and bad press. It means people started shopping much much earlier this year. Some 60% of people across America say they're done. The holidays. But then for the rest of us who really haven't even started? That means we better get going because a lot of things that you're selling out and with shipping Billy's things like that. You know, this might be a good chance. We if we wait too long, we won't be able to get it. I wanted to ask you to Justus, though we all complain. You know, the holiday decorations are starting to become available. You know, in September, you know where the thinks they're the Halloween stuff is coming up in the summer is when people are looking towards you know black Friday what it used to mean where you did have to physically congregate in the parking lot off the walmart and trample your neighbors and friends in order to get that deal now because There is just so much access, and so much of the world in a million different ways has become on demand is that it's sort of blurring the line where maybe cos they're trying toe, get a jump on things, or is this the kickoff and then there's it just turn into like, okay, it's just open season on opportunities. You just got to keep your eyes open. Well this year because of the pandemic, and really, because Amazon did their big sale days in October, and you know, instead of in July, they had him in October. So that's really when everybody jumped in with the deals and almost all the big box retailers. The targets the best buys the WalMart. Their deals have been going on. Kind of the whole time, like targets started November. 1st Best buy started rolling out their black Friday deals last Sunday, So we've been seeing a lot of these deals already. And really, the message has been shop early shop online. Uh, if you don't get the big markdowns today, it's okay. Don't panic because you'll still have a chance. Tomorrow you'll still have a chance The next day and Cyber Monday is supposed T blow by all. Shopping ever in a single day online, So there's still a few chance of left something you need to shop. But then also I read it in some of the notes and some of the things that you've shared that is also The thing that is one of the hot products is is laptops and new laptops. What should we expect? As sort of the life expectancy off the laptop? I remember traveling the country, maybe even the world with a laptop that must have lasted eight years or something. Where every day I would wake up and say, Are we gonna make it today? And now two people and prices have you know if you if you shop around, prices have come down a little bit, and certainly the technology Has stepped up. What should we expect out of a laptop and is now the time to get one? Even if it wasn't that long ago, you got one. You know if you are a heavy, heavy laptop user like I am for my work, and I write scripts every day and write articles every day. I'm I use my laptop all the time travels with me. I am really lucky if my math book pro My Apple left laptop last more than three years, That's dramatic, But I added on, you know, it's got a lot going on all the time. So heavy laptop user you are really lucky if you can keep that thing running in it. Shit for five years. If you're more of the normal average laptop user seven years is kind of it these days, and I say if you have a laptop right now, that's seven years older, older and you go try one of these newer versions out today, whether it's a Lenovo gel, the New Macs are are the best. Computers we've ever seen out of Apple and you know of the Mac line and the same across the board I My second favorite brand is Lenovo and the New York and nine I two in one notebook. It's the most versatile too, and one really. It's more like a five in one. That's a laptop that folds to prop up like a 10 to life flat like a tablet. It's one of these models that is ushered in this new generation of portable powerful laptops. What do we expect out of those? All day. Battery life, more modern, connective, itty lightning fast speed and a lot more room to store all of your documents

How to Survive the Holidays Debt-Free

"Episode is a reboot from two years ago. But i think this message is just as important now. I know i have definitely had some money. Fomo and i have to make sure that. I am not making too many emotional purchases especially this time of the year so i do a couple of things i i said a few rules. If i know it's an emotional. Spend i give myself twenty four hours before i hit the buy button so i put the item in the cart away. Twenty four hours. And then decide if something. I really want to buy and i also allow myself. No more than two emotional spends per month with the cap on how much i can spend. You're probably thinking. Okay sean why go through. All of this will. it's simple. I just have a ton of money goals like you. And i don't wanna get trapped into fomo spending. We're all guilty of it. Though so my other rule is that this is a shame free zone. Let's just make sure fomo spending isn't are spending this holiday season. Okay onto the episode. Did you know that the average person takes on between three hundred eight hundred dollars in debt during the holidays. That might not seem like a lot. I could see where some people might take on more dad. Maybe some a little bit less but if it isn't paid off in a short period of time it could turn into even more dead not how the debt starts to snowball. And i think it's really more about the mindset behind all of this as well behind holidays you we get so riled up with the and all the stuff we've got a bye for co workers and friends and family and spouse boyfriend girlfriend mean he just gets crazy out of control but as our guest mosh from status. Money says how we hack. Our minds is really important to how we get ready for the holidays off pun. Intended here we got to get our game face on to win the war against holiday debt. So montage he's been on the podcast before but he's gonna show us how to breach the holidays without debt and also very interesting while using spending data from your peer groups might just be the missing link. You need to keep your budget in check. We're here to talk about the holidays. It feels like they're just rolling You know it's going to be holiday time before we blink are is seemingly and it's always stressful time. I know with a lot of listeners with their budget. I've had a hard time myself. I think we all have at times during the holidays trying to stay in budget. But i really wanna talk about you know. Are there ways that we can restore the holidays without racking up debt. How do we do this. I think we gotta hack our minds a little bit here during the holidays i get this urges. I'm sure most people do to be very generous and we want to be generous. And and how much we give and we want to be thoughtful gift But at the same time we have to be a little bit cautious about not overextending art though and you know this is kind of a place. Typical gift giving where. You're not sure you know how much you should spend your. You're not sure whether somebody's gonna get you an amazing gift and spend hundreds of dollars and and all you got them you know. Was you know keychain. So i i think We have to be very careful about looking at all the information that we have available And being very thrifty in in how we give people thoughtful gift. That is great. Because i know especially if you work in corporate environment and they do the gift giving exchange. There's always unless they set a limit you know. It's that gas guessing game of trying to figure out how much you spend do. I look like a cheapskate. If i don't spend enough for being too extravagant and we could do that. Certainly with friends and family to that's why so many people end up just giving gift cards but what do you think causes the biggest stress around the holidays and budgeting. Is it. just that we feel these obligations or is it that we kind of throw in all of our everything we know about money and we just start spending without even knowing how much we're spending. I do think a lot of people. Don't it's kind of like cheating on a diet. So you think well what the hell. It's the holidays right and And you spur splurge a little bit but then a little bit turns into a little bit more And before you know it it's january and you've got a lot of credit card bill pay

Virgin Hyperloop's Jay Walder on the Future of Transportation

"Hyperloop began as a sketch by elon. Musk which i think he barred from. Nineteen eighty seven. James bond film. It's a capsule you put someone in and send them hurtling at dramatic speeds through a long distance pipeline sons. A little sci fi but seven years later the leading company developing it. Virgin hyperloop has at its helm. Jay walder a guy who has been in charge of the subway systems of new york london and hong kong. that's one way to gain credibility so welcome jay. Thanks for being here a wilson. Thanks for having me. So how did it happen. You get a call from the company's lead investor dubai port world and they were like what you're interested in overseeing a some sort of to brockett the line that i often repeat which came from the the The head-hunter is he set out. Something i wanna talk to you about. But it's not for the faint of heart and he wasn't lying. It's just incredible and it was a great great opportunity and and to be able to move from doing the things that i've done in my career in the to now really have any opportunity to fundamentally reshape the way we think about mass transit. That's just amazing. But what was it like. What was the thing that. What was the one piece that sparked you that you said okay. This isn't just drawings on on on a piece of paper we. We went through like russian. Finally someone said to me any get on a plane. Come alka las vegas our co founder and cto. Josh neidl will meet you there. And come out to see the test in las vegas and that was the moment i mean. I shouldn't be given us away. But i was at that point just totally locked and it was so real. It's very hard to grasp without seeing it. I think of you guys teased a video to us. That i got the chance to watch but unfortunately we are not allowed to show on this this program today and it showed Kind of like it looked like some sort of emirates air check in room. You know a big gorgeous atrium where people were passengers were walking in. They kind of get on this things. It looks like a really fancy disney ride they shoot off and the speedometer says six hundred plus miles an hour. Meanwhile they're sitting there enjoying their coffee in working on their laptops. You know getting to there seems like a major journey but you recently on november eighth hit a milestone. what was that yes a look. Let's let's break it down a little bit the test facility that we had in las vegas. We have run over four hundred test that test facilities. It's a five hundred meter hyperloop tube of full-scale working hyperloop that the company is built and and really demonstrated improving the that that hyperloop works. We that had already been accomplished but but the question we were asked most often that i was asked most often is. Is it safe and we set out on a journey really about eighteen months ago to be able to show that it is safe and to put the first people in a hyperloop pod that really was. I think a huge step so what what happened on november eighth remember aids two of our colleagues real people. Josh geigo are co founder they said sarah lucian who is the director of our passenger experience. They got in a hyperloop pod together and we had the first run of people in hyperloop loop and really being able to look at this and say we have now. Demonstrably answered that question. It is safe so can you just take us through this again. It's twenty twenty. Originally guys said twenty twenty five having a certified program but now you're looking to have production by twenty thirty something actually in the works so so let me let me take a couple of steps back on this and then then take your question. Because i think there's several things embedded in their first off. You see a test with with real people showing that we can do it. Our goal in this is to have a customer experience. That feels truly special right to have something in which you you are going into an environment. That is is quick and convenient for you. That it's flexible more. Like ride hailing than the way. We think about the tyranny of train schedules. I always like to point out environmentally friendly right. We want to be able to think of this as twenty-first-century transportation that's not polluting. The air that we breathe and in certain locations. I think we can literally disconnect from the grid and that's an amazing statement to be able to make about doing this. The foundation of any monitoring station system has to be shared mobility. There's no question about that and to go back to what you were saying before. Why am i here right. I'm here to connect what what is an incredible technical development program. That's part of the point. You're making with what it takes to be. A transportation system in between that is is really proving. The safety in the certification creating the customer experience and allowing all of those things to happen to be able to do it. Our path forward is to have the certification of the system by two thousand twenty five. We recently announced that we will move forward to build the hyperloop certification center in west virginia. Usually excited about this look. I'm a. I'm a kid from new york. I'm not sure. I would have ever guessed that we would be going to west virginia to do this so we're going to. We're going to build that out and literally. I've got people there right now. Working to be doing this simultaneous. What we're doing right now. We should have that certification by twenty twenty five and then when you refer to the end of the decade by the end of the decade. I want hyperloop projects that are that are in us that we are actually running

"So how are you putting your emotional intelligence hat on your e. I hat in all of your interactions whether your word with friends with your family and how much are you. Harnessing your emotions. Well this is the perfect segue to my special guest today. Joining me on the show is andrea hoven. Andrea is the co founder and learning at. Og lice. laugh she's also a certified coach and a speaker and she helps professionals to hard as their emotions injury. I it is so nice to have you on my show. Welcome thank you. Thank you for having me. It's really wonderful to be here in. Share a little of what i know with women worldwide. We're happy happy because emotional. Intelligence is really important you know for any person professionally and personally is being able to get a handle on your own emotions so that you can work with others and that is something that you're doing quite a bit and before we dive into e i in all of your great work. Maybe you can just share a little bit about how you got to wanting to go down. Career path of emotional intelligence in helping professionals in coaching. Yeah sure it's the kind of a long circuitous journey like most are bank But i i started my career in corporate america and climbed the ranks as a sales manager and became a regional vice president with a big thirty million dollar territory and found that the part of that job that i loved the most was training people to be the best they could be. And when i could see light bulbs go on and see that. That was magic for me. And so that that led me down a path wanting to do that work more often And so eventually became responsible for job skills training at the organization. I worked at and found that my passion fell into the leadership development and coaching area. Where i work with people so that we could have more of those breakthrough moments and insights together. That help them do the things they wanted to do. And be the person's and people that they wanted to be so that's That's what led me to get certified as a coach to work as a coach to leave that organization and work independently for a while And and realizing along the way that emotional intelligence really is such a foundational set of skills that set the stage for so much more of what we wanna do as leaders or as people or as of families etc. You have to have your ability to recognize what you feel some self awareness around what's going on inside so that like you said you can harness their power and their wisdom of ear emotions to help you accomplish what you want to accomplish. So that's a little bit about how i got to this point. That's excellent and in. You did definitely just pinpoint something. That's so important around the emotional intelligence discussion. The fact that you have to be aware of what's going on with you and you know what is it. There's there's a lot going on in our world where emotions do run high zoa. People are feeling challenged in whether it's affecting you and your your work environment or your home environment. What are some of the ways it. Perhaps you can get to being more aware or more emotionally intelligent. Yeah well let's. I like name this moment as you just said. Two thousand twenty is such a crazy year and at the beginning of the year we started. We pulled You know hundreds of people across the united states to ask them what was the most predominant emotion that they were experiencing back in march. The answer then was anxiety. Which makes logical sense. You know it at. The heart of anxiety is feeling of uncertainty. That things that matter deeply to us are out of our control

Schools and COVID-19

"We last checked it on. Schools and cova nineteen on the podcasts. Anyway in july at that point we had some information about spread. This was based on schools. Stayed open throughout spring and those that didn't now in the fall term and a second wave. What do we know staff writer. Jennifer cousin frankel and contributing correspondent gretchen. Vogel have an update in this week's issue. Hi jennifer hi. Thanks for having me sure. It's really great to see this article. Come out. I feel like we have not a lot of information about schools and a lot of people making a lot of different. Decisions is now a good time to do this. Follow up story now is a good time and one reason for that is that many more schools have opened than opened in the spring and we have schools now open in areas with high transmission which is different. It offered us an opportunity to really learn about what's happening in those schools. How are they coping. And what are researchers trying to learn from them. What do you think are the biggest changes since your last piece on this. What we know a lot more about now than we did. Then i would say there are certain things that we strongly suspected then that have been reinforced. One is thankfully most kids really do not get very sick from covid. Nineteen there are exceptions. But in general they don't so that is very good news and that has truly held up over the months another. Is that when we think about schools in a one of the big concerns outbreaks in schools the spread of virus through a school. And while we're still really trying to learn about that. I would say that right now. Outbreaks in schools appear to be less common than they had been initially feared to be. So that's another thing. That we i think have have learned especially in high transmission areas. We do know that kids are not getting very very sick if they do. Contract corona virus. But do we know if they're transmitting it to each other. You know at the same rate as adult would or to to their teachers in their classroom or to their families at home that has been a really big question since the start of this pandemic. how much of a vector or kids are they are. They catching the virus to the same degree. Even if they're not getting really sick and if they do get infected are they transmitting it to the same degree and i would say you know. We still really don't know the answer to that. I think there have been a number of studies that suggest that younger kids in particular kids under about ten. And it's not like we're talking about a clear cut off. It's sort of a gradient. But that's roughly where people put the line so kids under ten studies have shown up less likely to get infected and potentially transmit the virus but then there are other studies that do not show this and that show the younger kids are just as likely to be infected and to transmit stars cova too so i would say honestly we really don't know and there are strong feelings on both sides. Here's some people really think that younger kids are less likely to transmit and others to say we truly do not know that yet so i feel like the jury is still out on that one. You break your story out into some big questions. That people have whenever they think about corona virus schools and so i just wanted to take those one time and the first one is. Are we going to see outbreaks at schools. We put that question first because it's on so many people's minds parents sending their kids to school people working in schools communities as a whole. How common are these outbreaks in schools. That is such a big question. I would say two things i would say. The data do appear to be hopeful. There have been some studies and some data gathering that underscore that one example we found was in north carolina where there's a big consortium among researchers in schools trying to study covid nineteen in schools. They found very few instances of transmission within a school. So that kind of thing is really heartening. At the same time we found that data is being collected less consistently and not being shared consistently either and that has been a concern too many people and that's true across countries. It's not country specific. So i think a lot of people working in this area really thought that by now we would have more information on had earns viral spread through schools and the degree to which that happens and it's still very limited and i think part of that is that health departments may just be overwhelmed. We're not doing these big studies in schools or we haven't done them to the point where we have results and also there's definitely issues around sharing data that allow other people to really analyze it. One of the big questions around that is does a school being opened changed how we feel about how safe it is so your kids are in school. Well are they also in sports. Are they also doing extracurriculars. This is just normal life again right. So that was something that gretchen. I have seen. I think on a personal level and it was something we wanted to look at. You know and it's a little bit squishy. I don't think there's one answer. Every family is different. But i think the psychologist do agree that when we think about risk and we think about how schools communicate and just what it means to be in school. There's a lot that goes along with being in school in normal times like carpools and birthday parties and high schoolers dating each other. There's so many ansari parts of school beyond just the classroom so the question is do open. Schools change risk perception and change behavior. And i think to some degree they probably do and they also may offer more opportunities for people to get together for example through school. Sports is that opening the door for spread in a way that schools themselves don't do that is definitely a big worry and i think we have seen that to a degree. Yes that a lot of the cases among young people are being tied to gatherings outside of school to carpools to sports either school affiliated sports or just sports leagues that aren't connected to school but that are running right now so definitely. I think there's a real concern about these out of school activities. Some of which are very much tied to schools and others of which may just have kind of resumed along with schools. That are fueling new cases. You talk about how classrooms. How students staff. Ken stay safe in an open school and one of the topics. You tackle is air circulation keeping the air. Low on exhaled viral particles. What are some of the approaches. That have been working from that. And how important is it compared to say wearing a mask in social distancing. The other topic ventilation is something we were excited to look at. We had not reported on this earlier. And you say it's it's talked about a watt in schools in all around the world. How much we need to ventilate classrooms. What can we do if a classroom. Is it naturally well ventilated. How much fresh air is enough. Essentially we really tried our best to get it some of that. What we you find is some of what's already known which is in general you want to enhance the flow of outdoor air into a room and then remove the indoor air because the goal is to minimize what people are breathing out before other people can be that in case there's virus there so you're trying to get that air out of the room in many schools that do have windows and you know often multiple windows in a classroom especially in europe. They're really opening those windows. Kids are often in their winter coats in class right now because it's getting colder. In many parts of europe there certainly encouraged to wear whatever they need to wear to stay warm in class for schools and there are many of these schools as well either. Don't have windows or don't have windows. That open classrooms. There are a number of efforts to try and help them ventilate their space. For example with a fan with filter that can clean. Indoor air in those kinds of fans are already used in parts of the world where there might be a forest fire air pollution or something else that pollutes your indoor air. You can use a fan with a filter to clean it. That's one thing we found another really interesting thing we found is that you can do these. Details sort of exhaustive calculations for different indoor spaces to try and calculate how much do we need to ventilate centimeters. We need to open our windows. That kind of thing and that can be helpful. But no one's going to be doing that for every classroom. It's just not practical. What some scientists are boarding is a simple turn it which is high quality carbon dioxide monitors. They cost between one hundred dollars. One hundred and fifty dollars normally and the reasoning for that is that when we exhale we exhale co two naturally and so measuring co two levels in the space can kind of serve as a proxy. For how well your ventilating if your co two levels are high. That means you're not cleaning out that indoor air as much as you might like if co two levels are low. that means you're you're doing a good job of that.

Dance Theatre of Harlem Takes Ballet Outside The Theater

"Let's get back to ballet dancers. Alexandra hutchinson and derek brockton. They're part of the dance theatre of harlem twenty twenty company and co produced the viral video dancing through harlem also with this virginia johnson. She's the dance theatre of harlem artistic director. We got this message from brandy in maryland. I tina and i took ballet from about the time. I was four or five time i was twelve. I ended up having to quit because of the cost of valet lessons. But the thing that resonates for me is that many years later as an adult. I remember seeing alvin ailey performed for the first time and thinking my goodness if i had known that there were people like this people like me. Look like me who were doing ballet and other forms of dance. I might have thought really differently about what was possible for me as a dancer both in terms of where i could go even for dances a career but also in terms of relation to my party And thinking always that. I didn't have the right body to be a ballet dancer or i was too sick or too heavy. Thanks so much for sharing your story brandy alley any of what brandy said resonate with you. Yes it does It's so important to have role models to look up to when you're growing up so when i was at the washington school of ballet. I was at the virginia johnson scholar and i got to meet with her and i was introduced to some of the company and saw performance. And i still remember that to this day. Because it's so important when you're growing up to see that it is possible to achieve your dreams and so seeing other beautiful dancers. That look like me on stage was all i needed to give me that that push not courage to do it myself. You know for many children particularly little girls. There's this pervasive image of ballerinas very small and thin and pale and t and sort of graceful delicate whistle but as we said or dancers are are athletes. You're crazy strong and muscular derrick. Talk about some of the misconceptions surrounding ballet. And how maybe there's some subconscious racism or sexism at play there. There absolutely is a little bit. We find in ballet thought. It is about tradition so there are things that have been done a certain way for a very long time and when people see things that do not fit that norm it can. It can be fearful for them. That's the word because they're not used to it so seeing brown dancer in a line of all these a white ones it throws those but we opt to kind of kings perspective and no. There's nothing terrible read about it. It's just not what we're used to. And we have to accommodate that. It's a representation really really matters. And that's why i feel this video. Dancing do harlem has done so well because it is really offering so many people an opportunity to see themselves doing something that maybe they haven't seen before. I know we only have the two of you for another minute before. You have to go to rehearsal but alexandra very quickly talk about how art form is is giving you space to comment on reflect on some of the social justice questions that have arisen in the past few months yes So social justice is an issue today as it was when arthur mitchell founded the company fifty one years ago and so when we were given the task to create a video for harlem week we really wanted to set the bar really high and do our best because we knew that through social media you can reach so many more people and like virginia was saying earlier we now have to learn to put out social media instead of live performance. And so that's why we put our heart and soul into it because we knew that our is can be a form of protest and so showing places of harlem that people haven't necessarily seen in a beautiful light and dancing and being joyful in a time of so much tragedy Can bring people hope. That's alexandra hutchinson derek brockton. They're both members of the dance theatre of harlem twenty twenty company. They co produce dancing through harlem in part to celebrate the theatre's fiftieth anniversary alley. And derek. i gotta get to class so we'll let you go but thanks for joining us. Thank you for having us. Thank you so much for having

Hawaii Wants to Lure Visitors---but Keep Out Covid-19

"Hawaii is riding out the covid. Nineteen storm but geographic isolation isn't the blessing it may seem by a. hundred algata when hawaii's corona virus infections were rising in late august. Honolulu mayor kirk caldwell visited doctors in the covid. Nineteen ward of the queen's medical center the state's largest hospital. I could see it in their faces and in their eyes caldwell says the concern and fear. They had that by the following week. If things didn't change they were not going to be able to care for people that they were going to have to put them intense outside. It was a crisis that leaders in the fiftieth state hoped they would never face between march and may when a stay at home order was in place. Hawaii was averaging only a couple of new cases every day but as some restrictions were lifted in june resulting in a patchwork of state and local rules. The numbers soon began inching up by late. July hawaii was metaphorically ablaze with the bulk of cases centered on oahu. Home to two thirds of the state's population. The island lost one hundred and nineteen. New cases underlie thirtieth by mid august. It was averaging over two hundred today four days after his hospital. Visit with more than three hundred and fifty people hospitalized for covid nineteen symptoms on his island issued a second lockdown order with the blessing of hawaii governor. David ige our hospital administrators had informed us. If we didn't do something that they would become overwhelmed says he gay three months later. It seems hawaii's response may have worked as a new deadly wave of coronavirus infections sweeps across the us. Hawaii is one of the only states in the country experiencing relative reprieve. It reported one hundred and thirteen new cases on november twenty third according to data from johns hopkins university slightly more than its weekly average of one hundred six daily new cases. Only vermont reported fewer cases that day hawaii the fortieth most populous state has a low case. Count even when adjusted for population as of november twenty third. It has a weekly average of seven cases per one hundred thousand residents the lowest in the country by comparison. The highest per capita figure is belong to north dakota at one sixty and wyoming at one fifty four infection levels in hawaii have stayed relatively steady since mid-september while nearly every other state has experienced an increase it remains to be seen whether a slight uptick in recent days could be the start of a new upward trend however how has a wii so far avoided another major covid nineteen surge. The clearest reason is apparent on any world map geography. It's so obvious yet. It plays such a big role says thomas lee. An assistant professor of epidemiology at the university of hawaii at manoa and co chair of the hawaii pandemic applied modeling workgroup. He also served as the lead outbreak. Modular and forecaster for the hawaii emergency management agency this spring for hawaii. The pacific ocean has helped serve as the world's biggest moat travelers arriving there by plane. Essentially the only means of reaching the state with cruise lines. Shuttered have since march required to self quarantine for two weeks though since mid-october visitors can avoid isolation if they test negative within seventy two hours of arrival while the rules may have kept visitors from seating new infection clusters. They have also devastated. Hawaii's tourism sector which accounts for nearly a quarter of its economic activity. Some hawaiian leaders. Still don't think they're doing enough to prevent infections part of a broader split among hawaiians over whether and how to welcome visitors back during a pandemic derek kawakami mayor of quite county says new infections on his islands are related to the reopening of travel from the continental us. He's proposed a requirement that travelers get tested a second time after arriving. This virus requires layer upon layer of intervention and mitigating measures. Kawakami says we have to be able to respond quickly and boldly because it can spread like wildfire kawais. Recent uptick is tiny in relative terms on november twentieth. It reported six cases. Its second highest one day count so far but kawakami has good reason to be worried koci home to around. Seventy two thousand people has just nine. Icu beds and fourteen ventilators. Isolated and with limited healthcare capacity and uncontrolled. Outbreak could quickly spell disaster. The holy grail is prevention. So that is what we put our blood sweat and tears into here on kobe. Kawakami says we're almost always on the red line. A similar imperative applies across the entire state of one point. Four million people with nowhere to turn of hawaii's healthcare system is overwhelmed leaders. There have little choice but to be proactive. In preventing covid nineteen outbreaks. We are geographically remote and so our healthcare system is really vulnerable says catherine purple an associate professor of health policy and management at the university of hawaii minoa there really is a strong motivating factor to try to keep those numbers under control. Hawaii's isolation then is a double edged sword. Thousands of miles of ocean are a good tool to stop travelers from seating new corona virus clusters but if infection spin out of control anyway. Assistance could be a long time coming. We have been from the very beginning focused on the science and public health recommendations because we are twenty five hundred miles away from any help. Says the governor. We learned a long time ago. That we have to be self reliant and that we have to act as a community epidemiologists say it's difficult to attribute hawaii's relative covid nineteen success to any one factor isolation included for one thing cold weather which is forcing many americans indoors where the virus can spread. More easily is unheard of in most of hawaii. Honolulu's thanksgiving day forecast is eighty two and sunny. Other government measures may also have played a part unused hotel rooms and a wa who have been repurpose to isolate nineteen patients and restrictions on inter island. Travel have prevented. Local spread mask wearing has helped as well on kauai and a who mask. Mandates were instituted in april while an august survey found that ninety. Six percent of hawaiians are masking up. Unlike for many americans. Wearing masks to prevent illness isn't an entirely foreign concept for hawaiians public health experts. Say that's likely due to the states relative proximity to asia where facial coverings tend to be more prevalent. Many hawaii residents. Who commented for this article also cited the state's heritage and cultural values as a reason for high adherence to public health mandates. We have a culture here that comes from the first people's the native hawaiians called ball says the term juliana means responsibility and it does the people here in hawaii still leaders in hawaii have come under pressure over cove nineteen restrictions caldwell says people sometimes drive down his street to yell outside his house either at him or his wife and daughter. Some people certainly have reason to be upset. Travel restrictions have ravaged the state's tourism dependent economy hawaii's overall unemployment rate was more than fourteen percent in october according to the us department of labor the worst in the country for the second month in a row called bo says he understands people's frustrations but needs to prioritize. Public health. people are impacted. Their businesses are impacted. their life dreams are impacted. He says. I get why they're upset. But i also believe that in order to protect health and safety which is always the most important thing that comes first. And i think it's tied directly to the economy to after months of travel restrictions. Guy says the state's pretrial testing program finally bringing in visitors and helping hawaiians get back to work while keeping cova level stable still. Despite hawaii's current low case counts it remains to be seen if the state's leaders can revive tourism based economy while at the same time staving off a devastating rise in cases which would likely put the tourism business back on ice anyway depend on travel. Uk says but everyday day. I get comments from members in our community that continuing to bring visitors into hawaii during this time is really putting our community at risk. It's something that weighs very heavily on myself. And the mayor's every day as we see the virus counts increasing on the mainland.

Streamlining the Hiring Process for Nurses With Dr. Iman Abuzeid of Incredible Health

"The genesis of incredible health came from my background right. So i am an md a lot of friends and family members that are doctors as well who were often complaining about understaffing at the same time. My co founder. Who's a software engineer from. Mit import. lock. His sisters are nurses and they were saying. Hey i'm experienced and qualified and still takes me two three months to get my next job. I applied a ten fifteen places. I often don't hear back. This is a very common experience for nurses by the way even today and so we just figured there just has to be an easier way to solve this problem so essentially the problem you identified. Was this kind of the process. Right of hiring. Nurses was broken. Which doesn't make sense right because you would think you know with the shortage and hospitals needing nurses they would bring him on but hospitals are also big bureaucracies with lots of different challenges. So i guess it does make sense. You identified this problem. Which was the hiring the on boarding process and and all the bureaucracy involved. You decided to figure to streamline it and that was the genesis of incredible health. That's right and it's now expanded beyond just the place where a nurse finds the job. It's the place where he or. She manages their career. I mentioned continuing education earlier. We also have free salary estimators. We have a couple more services than are launching at the end of this year as well. That's exclusively for nurses. So it's it's really become the place where you manage your entire career on incredible health. Well i'm wondering him on. How does the business model work do. Hospital subscribe pay subscription fee to the site. Or do they pay you know. Every time they hire somebody you get a fee sort of kazakh model designed as a subscription and then that the hospitals are picking are selecting different. Tiers that are based on volume of one hundred percent free for the nurses when nurses go and work at hospitals. Do they tend to stay at the same hospital for a long time. Or is there high turnover. Are they moving around to different hospitals. Yeah so for our platform specifically we only do permanent workers right. We don't do any contract. Workers now look nursing in general is known for high turnover right so usually it's seventeen percent is a national annual turnover right now and so retention is also a hot topic and a very important topic for these for these employers as well and we'll try to do whatever they can to try to keep their nurses so let's go back to the beginning of this year. At what point. Did you realize that this pandemic is going to be a major problem and that the service you offer was was potentially going to be in high demand. I figured this out. Put this altogether. Probably in january february and now is because i was on twitter on and honestly the most amount of information was coming from epidemiologists. Md's and public health experts around the world because we weren't getting real time data here in the us so twitter twitter was actually the my source for figuring this out. I know you've got a team of about thirty people. You're based in san francisco right. We are headquartered in san francisco. Our team is in different parts of the country. So when you realize that this was potentially going to be a huge issue did you see an immediate spike in demand for your services. We did a certainly by april. There was a spike in demand for specific types of nurses. If you're an icu nurse. Or e deaners the hiring for that like increased by three x on our platform like right away and we saw a drop. For some of the other specialties because surgeries were getting canceled but since then since july august the demand for every single role has dramatically increased because not only are hospitals operating at full capacity also dealing with this pandemic. So how did you start to position your your company and your business to meet that demand so there were few things that we did We a few months ago. We launched what we call the pandemic hiring sweet right and what that is is a a range of features and tools that even more dramatically accelerates the hiring and really helps. The hospitals reduce costs because they had gone through some very severe financial hardship. Right so a couple of the things that we did was we added in automated interview scheduling remote interviewing. Because that's just what you have to do. During a pandemic in-app chats enhanced are matching algorithms. All of these with the goal of accelerating the hiring even further so we got down to twelve days now and on average we save every hospital that we work with at least two million dollars because they dramatic try to reduce their travelers costs as well as our overtime in asia. Our costs so essentially last year or the year before. If you were nurse using your platform you would have done and in-person interview at least one. You've traveled to the hospital. And that of course has gone away. That's gone so that's not even a feature anymore. Now everything is happening. Virtually correct and

In Celebration of Zen Mind Beginner's Mind

"I'm really happy to be here with you celebrating beginner's mind which is such a terrific book and so important for so many of us and i've read this book many many many times over many many years in the beginning i couldn't understand it at all. What is he talking about. And yet i was so intriguing that i was completely hooked. Right away suzuki row. She has a way of saying things that seem so true even though you can hardly know what he's talking about actually zen mind beginner's mind is not really suzuki. She's work if you actually look at his talks. The whole talk the raw transcription which you can actually find fairly easily online at san francisco zen center website or at david chadwick's wonderful crooked cucumber website. You'll see that's a superhero. She talks actually long rambling. Very hard to understand. It's like he's thinking out loud and a lot of the times. You really have no idea what he's talking about. Because he's in the process of trying to figure out how to speak english trying to figure out how to talk about dharma and english and trying to figure out how to talk about dharma to a bunch of young americans who have no idea at all about buddhism. so he's wandering a lot. he's experimenting with different ways of saying things very often. He laughs at his own jokes. And you have no idea what the joke is. His talks are kinda like that. And and and so that's why zinnemann beginner's mind is a really a co creation of suzuki row. She and mainly. I think trudy dixon who is credited with editing the talks. And i'm probably. I'm guessing although i'm not one hundred percent sure that richard baker who suzuki she's leading american disciple and my own ordination teacher. I'm guessing a big hand in a two. And no doubt there were many others whom i'm not aware of all these people love suzuki rosie a lot and i think we're really respectful of his words so i doubt that they changed anything to speak of. They probably cleaned up the english grammar a bit. But they did do a lot of cutting and shaping and framing and that's really what makes in my beginner's mind what it does. It is a labor of love and devotion. And i think you feel that in text and that's one of the reasons why it is such a marvelous text. My guess is that the young students listening to sapiro. She had him because he respected them and they loved them probably in a way that none of them had never been loved before he saw their beauty and he saw their confusion. And i think he loves them just as much for their confusion as for their beauty and i think that was a unique experience for the people who were in his presence as i said when i first read zen mind beginner's mind. I was intrigued. But i didn't understand and later readings. I was surprised at how seldom and lightly suzuki wrote. She mentions buddhist teachings improvising. but then still later. I marveled at exactly the opposite thing. How much everything that he says. Everything is a clear reflection of the classical and later classical early and the later on and doggone teachings yet he never sounds like. He's repeating teachings that he has studied and it never sounds like he's teaching you about buddhism. It sounds more like he's just talking about the way he sees and feels things and as he says. Many many times there are no teaching to stick to. there's just life and living life and then if you see life and live life truly and carefully. It's going to come out sounding a lot like the buddhist teachings instill later readings. I came to appreciate just being wishes. Lewke row she just hearing his voice. A voice of calmness and stability kindness but very very low key no fanfare. His dharma expression is very quiet and subtle. He really is not trying to impress or make a big deal out of anything in fact most of the time. He seems to be gently trying to disabuse his listeners. Of the big deal. They seem to have in their minds. About zen or spirituality. Or the powers of meditation. Just keep saying over and over again. Just just do it. Just do the practice just live. Just be sincere just constant

Working With Your spouse: Noura Sakkijha, co-founder and CEO, Mejuri

"Your co founder is your husband. You're not the first person on this show. Who's coders their spouse. But i really like. It's something that. I cannot fathom working with your partner so and i know what it is like to have a co founder but i also am very protective around like keeping keeping parts of my life separate. So what is that. Like to work with your husband. It's crazy for us. To be honest. I think a lot of people do it says together because it's so hard to start a business that i used to work sixteen seventeen hours a day and so if my partner wasn't in a similar lifestyle i don't know how things would have worked out to be honest with us. I think in that sense. It was really a positive. Obviously you know it gets stuff because we had to put rules around the separation exactly like you said going back home in going on a date. I don't necessarily wanna talk about strategy. We really had to set boundaries and and really be honest with each other like. I don't wanna talk about work now. Can we talk about something else and so try to figure out. How do we create the separation. But i think over time it just becomes part of your lifestyle like i. I just think of juries part of us and so we became a lot more comfortable especially as the company grew and we started to have our own vary obvious roles and responsibilities. And i think that is actually something that i would recommend for anyone. Who's working with their partners to make sure that you have clear roles and responsibilities. And who essentially is that decision maker on certain areas versus the other. How do you split up the responsibilities. So he's The presidency oh and he works on all the revenue generating areas of the business. And i have all of the other areas. We essentially put the strategy together. We worked closely together. But we have very different cassettes. I'm like i said i'm an engineer. He's more he's from finance background. I have knowledge in the jewelry. Industry saw work closely with creative with product culture in hr a ceo whereas magid is really focused with the marketing team at retail and international expansion. And so there's definitely a division that didn't happen overnight as the company grew. It was more obvious where we wanna put revenue generation. Where do we wanna put the structure of the company the culture and so that's how essentially things came boat. The good thing between us is that we have difference consents.

"That's that guy we. Let's do a lot of like a._c._d._c. Oh advanced a._c._d._c. in school. That's those are the type of things i was listening well and so with van halen for example like my parents were both teachers so my dad will. They both worked in schools and my dad was a teacher and he would replay like hot for teacher van halen and like the l. cutesy with my mom. That was really cute. <hes> and i think that van halen was one of the i mean he's okay now but like when he was younger i had the biggest crush on eddie van halen. I thought he was so freaking cute. David lee roth can go suck a dick eddie van halen was i was at so there's that in canada i'm trying to think of like the beatles. My dad played a lot of beatles. I i really loved the song eleanor rigby and i think that that's is my dad played a lot and it was kinda creepy and i was a weird your child very weird child. Yeah i think <hes> the beatles for sure everybody. That's why they're so popular. Everybody knows the beatles. Everybody heard it a little so and they'll still here it now. I'm like a little right right. Go here the beatles so yeah. Those are definitely good one so yes were which was make playlists now like today though like definitely billy joel fleetwood mac for me and stephen always have stevie stevie nicks one of my other favorite movies which i've talked about before was practical magic. Stevie nicks is not soundtrack ally and so a lot of the songs from there like crystal yeah yeah no those are so good yeah which which he woman eagles who you love the eagle eagle it really great yeah so yeah. So what else makes it up to you today said okay. I'm more step forward in time yeah plan we obtain thank lanny listen as well. We have a plan record. A record that we have which also set forward are the shins love the show. I love the shins since i was in middle school high school <hes> air watch garden state. Which is the best musical go playlist. I know everybody else say that but soundtrack for everybody says ashraf. Did it and i have a playlist of all the songs from scribbles. Oh yeah do have that which is another really good playlist oftentimes. Listen to that play list and like. I like this band. I'm gonna see what they're up to now in ninety ninety five bands that way you know what i used to do was i used to get all my music from one tree hill. Which has i think one of the best playlists of all all time in like a t._v. Show it's really good in my friend. One of my friends amy from college. She went through and tried to get every song long from one tree hill. There is an artist that i found daniela on andrei. I don't know but she does. The cover of crazy yeah at the end of an episode of white collar is really good. I was like i have to find the song i'm that that's because it's really good. I think it's white collar one tree. Hill was a big inspiration for that. Go back to garden state of all me that person. I love love love love. I love coldplay and their first album got me through a lot of stuff and <hes> one of those songs don't pan. Hey cool on the garden. State soundtrack is one of my all time favorites onto. I just love it. I just think it it's my happy song. I think i think in one of the <music> you're in the mood for like some coldplay or like in five for fighting for fighting yeah johnson was kind of china it jack johnson and like a lot of people are like your basic. If you like those bands and like no i mean i think you just see like what you like. In those were popular during basic is a way to try and make people are just normal people feel bad about being exactly trying to marginalize the majority versus the the other thing though i like a lot of weird music i can like coldplay if i want to. I don't think it's a big deal. If i like cold play but then i also like small independent artists. My mom used to listen to kind of just the thing. I don't know why probably my head musicals. Your mom looks like she you it listen. She will listen to musical music. What i mean when it came out we would all of that. I knew i knew that's why like i'm not a musical person but i swear to god. I've heard all the songs all the popular musicals like you know. She listened to rent eleven read. I love the sound check. I'm pretty sure i i've seen that one now so the movie helis yeah and i bet your mom to has a soon as she went and saw hamilton she probably also dad actually wanted that one okay good hamilton j i mean he liked. That's a good one. We haven't seen we've probably should off broadway over here. Yeah it was in seattle but we just this really we're not. I guess another really cool show. That has a good soundtrack suits. Suits has a good soundtrack. Suits has a good soundtrack ad they have a lot of artists like <hes> one of my absolute favorite. I can't remember his name but i'm gonna find it it yeah okay so let's talk about that phenomenon for a second of have you ever like and we all have. I can't remember the name of that song charles bradley who has stomach cancer right now so he's like he was on tour but now he's not anymore but charles bradley is such a good artist. That's another one of those like bands that i really find myself gravitating towards as charles bradley and like saint paul <hes> and and broken bones lake ones like those that are like very soulful very big band soulful and i really loved those yard. Yes yeah like <hes> okay so back on the other thing trying to struggle and you're like okay. I can't like <hes> remember who somebody is well. I don't know the name of the song is or something like that. <hes> that is super frustrating right you. A lot has to me a lot but i have to say. I think like search engines now. It's a whole new world because that used to happen to me a lot as a kid too and it was the worst you'd hear something on the radio and you're like wow. This is songs. Probably don't get stuck in people's heads as much anymore because if it does go google it find song binge it like one hundred times down with no. He passed it yeah but yeah. I think search engines do great job at picking it up now and then she's zam now to you. Can you pushes them or have it on my phone here. Yeah you can kind of <hes> some of the stuff or just some stuff and like picks it up and that kind of work still here's the worst part so so the radio stations i'm drawn to are the ones that ha- are usually like college radio stations like k. x._p. There's also when that <unk> seattle universities and they had these like super amazing songs the other day and i was like listening to i was like i'll i'll just i'll just look at the radio station. Normally what radio stations do is solid. Give you like kind of a list of the songs that they play and then they'll <hes> <hes> you can sort belly time of day. What day exactly this website does not and they didn't say what the name of the song was period. I'm like yeah. I remember you know doing that back in the day to israel like oh four p._m. And it was a great song. I have to find and it usually like on my way to work if i'm listening to x._p. And i kinda missed what the name of a song is. I will immediately come into. We're gonna key yeah no. It's so much right and i love it. It's fun world. We live in but yeah. Let's talk more about what we like. Ahead on the heart is up there for us as a couple. We definitely like like kind of lighter rock folk. I folk sorta. <hes> things like that soft yeah alternative indie. We're really into all those yeah yeah interesting yeah but we we also like. I like harder stuff. Yeah i think specific on my own. I like rap and i like trap music. I like to listen to like while i got the gym and while i'm saying all and anything else that was in the nineties. Smith had a great rap album. Okay sure sir. I listened to a lot of like logic ellison kendrick lamar chance the rapper yeah chance proper just came out with a couple of new things so i transferred his stuff yeah chance there oppor. I did listen to eminem and high school as well. That was pretty fun. I hate am uh-huh great. He is really really great. Everybody i get why people like kim. I don't personally and i never have and i never will. There's there's nothing i like about him and the key does yeah. He's talented person doing his thing sharon. Yeah whatever you wanna say to get you at school his crappy music take care. We'll tell you i do not like eminem. Yeah people. I don't like and i'll be honest. I don't listen to much music but kanye west <hes> <hes> yeah actually come on his old stuff. Yeah i thought back in the day like in high school yeah it was great if he comes out with so much new stuff these but yeah we don't listen to a lot of lakes stuff on the radio like i've listened to a couple of songs by postal owned by. I can't tell you like what is his is wants an i if someone's like hey who i know yeah your parents actually went to <hes> they went to legal playoff game in atlanta or the super bowl will or something but they went to a concert in air it was aerosmith post malone was like opening or whatever and they had no idea who pose malone is and i we feel that and know whether he looks like but i could not tell you what his music sounds like i do now. He died right now as the guy that was dating of arianna guerande i think i don't like her music too much. Either i love i have to say i. I really do like arianna guerande. I listened to you know her songs. I guess yeah i like it. I like stuff. Yeah thank you next. God is a woman taylor swift and not really huge fan taylor swift now. I don't think a lot of people are trying to think of like big popular artists right now at second sale..

"DOT COM XIV called podcast where you can also give us a little bit of money and then you have access to what we're going to have in the future which is a discord channel where here we actually a book and Bitch Discord Channel where we're going to talk about the bugs like Azra reading them. You might get extra like content. You might know about the books folks. We're GonNa read before anybody else does he can read ahead of time right ahead cool cool little trinkets and things. I'll they got so many. We've got all kinds of ideas. It's true Jenny. How about you tell the audience about yourself about me well. Let's see I feel like I'm kind of a very boring person in the lease or person I well. Let's see I really love writing. I would say that's probably like my main my main thing. I love fine. Thank you so much. I love teaching writing. I love talking about writing. I love the actual physical act of writing reading other people's writing which we actually talked about in and so if you are listening to passive you're not again go to that area but Jenny was honored gave a Thrill Code where she talked about teaching writing being an like. She's really are go to writing. She's the off he minded. I think he just came up with a new tagline. I well this is kind of how it all started because we on Co op and we ended up kind of monopolizing the conversation with books and then we're like wait the minute wait. Let's get back like we started talking about. Harry Potter episode throws only Gosh which which is the book technically yes technically which I haven't got to read. All the way through Jesse has though so you guys had really great book. It has been so long since I read through the books though she make that no now. I'm not even going to suggest like we try to do read all of them. No absolutely no uh-huh pretend like I read all ninety man like I don't even think we could do that with like Harry Potter Yeah No. I think that'd be too much. We've come to him line. ooh. Let's break the mob. You love it then. We'll do like seven episode Harry Potter. They're like Harry. Potter podcast wins the a Harry Potter like month on Spec- for something else now we'll ginny. That's a December and okay and I in March. I think yes I wanna say we could coordinate with that but I think there's any month goes yeah. How about this <hes>. How about we ask you a couple of questions so we came up with a few questions. We're not just I'm not just like the best interviewer in the world where I'm just coming up with questions off the top of my head. Eh By what book would you like to see turned into a movie. ooh I would really love to see motherless Brooklyn by Jonathan. Lethem turned into a movie at such the characters in it are so rich and vivid the I think to see them. Come alive on screen would be so interesting and I will. I'll say this when we were thinking about what we're going to answer these questions. I was like I better look this up Assif. It's not a movie already. It's about to be a movie November. I which which were kind of during something so reading a book at the end of August in haven't been to our website. Go look it. Is the movie it or the book it by. I Stephen King Yeah. We're reading it so that when the movie comes out we making this compare Yada Yada. You should do that with obviously obviously you should. It's such an interest. I've never read it. Oh it's so interesting it's about this man that has threats and he's living in Brooklyn and he's motherless us how Brooklyn of him right knee like falls in with this gang of like other kind of like kids and people that don't have mothers or like a family and kind of along the way he becomes a detective of sorts. I'm studying has threats not obviously kind of gets in the way of being you know a little bit sly and sneaky. We are not as good at being those things. Leave how terrorists unfortunately. I don't think that it keeps you for big. Slice Niki detect them no <music> but it definitely it through some challenges your way okay. It's a good book a hundred percent. We're going to read it. How about this. WHO's your favorite author author. Ooh So Shirley Jackson as one of my favorite authors but since we're already highlighting her yes today you'll to hear it. I was like touching Jesse's fault because she's on Jesse side of these deaths Jesse's my co-host in Copa Buck as he was kind enough to lend me aside. I complaint yeah. No He's like we have to get genia little fiction for her to decorate and stuff like that so does that mean to put car stuff on my side with Richard Richard and Jesse ultimately start whatever park their car podcast Ab- cake but go on Shirley Jackson not yeah yeah for this one. I'll go ahead as eighty Smith. Zanies Smith is by far one of my favorite authors. I would absolutely love if I could meet her. In person. Listen Someday Hayes Eighty Smith Yeah. If you're listening today. Please come to the Pacific northwest. She teaches at Columbia though creative the Friday. Oh that's really cool. I didn't know she taught there yeah. She lives in Eklund for a long time and then I think she came over here specifically for that job. I could be wrong. Please don't hate me Internet. That's wrong they want. They can't hate you. Gosh she's super cool. I would love to meet her and she's such a fashion icon to. I know she's so fashionable. We're I'm. GonNa talk about fashion. In this podcast we have to it coincides it. Does it really does how about your favorite poet. ooh. Definitely Wallace Stevens Sunday <music> warning guests Sunday morning the one poem that I've read over and over and over and over. It's almost like my like security. Blanket poems guests like anytime during in my life where I'm like. I just need to like focus and become oh when it though okay pat so Sunday morning is super long. It's it's broken into a couple of different sections and it spans many pages reading it. Out loud takes about seven to eight minutes in total. It's not an option yeah. Actually when I was in college I ran our literary publication and we used to do open mic readings all the time. And for our very last one I was like okay guys. I'm a senior. This is my absolute last one. You all have to listen to me. Read Sunday more. Excuse me while I take the entirety of your evening but yeah. Why don't you tell me what about yourself? Okay Oh yes okay so again. My name is raven like you said a minute call. I'm in a podcast about nerdy things. I love really the everything I'm very interested in like fantasy and also really like historical fiction which is kind of just off. I don't know why I think it's like my dad is a history teacher so I've always been a little bit more interested in history but those kind of the books I like but I mean I end up talking about just literally anything create them all the time because I'm very much into like tabletop talk R._p._G.'s so I play a lot of attention and dragons which is a lot of like creative thought process. There's a lot of like back story that goes into creating your own story story and then recently have been doing a lot more <hes> the dungeon mastering the heads it create my own world so I love reading these books like one of my most recent characters. I based off of kind of off of constance from we've always lived in the castle yeah. No it's really really good and the next book that we talk about. I kind of based one of my characters on a D.. Stream that endearing office so I mean I get a lot of my inspiration from literature and just kind of everything but yet this yeah we'll dungeons and dragons. This is almost like historical fiction. You have this whole like world that's already built out with all of these things that have happened and all these rules and how things already behave right exactly and it is Kinda cool though because a lot of resettling people have been bringing out of that like in modern literature help people have been trying to break out like the stereotypical stereotypical ideas of race and what it means to be a woman and what it means spe- <hes> the sex that you are when what that means to the story story a lot of people have been doing that in dungeons and dragons us well and like all these other tabletop gaming so that's so interesting to be a part of so full of it so good ed I love it will tell us what book would you like to be seen made into movie okay. I'll start my first one off with a fantasy. <hes> book series actually just read the first one and working on the second one right now is the dragon land series. We should base off dungeons and dragons. Oh Nice. It's really good right. It's it's like it's what we need. I think they might actually try to create it into something with like the witcher being turned into a series I think like they're doing the wheel of time series which is Jesse's favorite fantasy like series like the market might be oversaturated in fantasy but the books are just so good because the world is built out but it's not not like with game of thrones where you have to know literally everything about everything so it makes it really easy to follow in the characters is really great because one of the main characters like a natural born leader by he is a half Elf so he's having to deal with how elves cannot stand band not pure lines and so they don't listen to him but everybody is trying to like they're like we trust him. We believe in him. One Hundred Percents Very Era Gore Oren like kind of like a lot of dungeons and dragons Lord of the rings basically but it's so good and just how strong a lot of the female characters actors in it are and that's always exciting for someone a woman who's in who enjoys reading and enjoys fantasy if there isn't a strong wrong female character in it. I'm probably not going to read it at this. Point is twenty nine thousand nine people like it's easy program. Yeah get with it so probably the dragon land series it yeah. Did you have a second. One second fire thought we were leading up to now yeah. No no no I was like I just want to start with fancy but now I want to think. Do I have a second one at love to see more <hes> just like.

I'm tired higher to use a NAP leader okay. Let's go to bed early. Yeah not e- Snack Day yeah. I'm cool with that too. We just hosted Jesse's parents. It's so the past like five days have been full of pasta why I ever tacos which were so good restart Chaka's and free mind here in Seattle. Go there delicious uh-huh Really Tired Jeff just tired extra full fat and happy but e hydrated. Probably it's hot summer. Evil sounds number. Make sure you're drinking Lincoln water if you're out there number one we'll talk about that drink water today. I don't think we should ever not talk about it immediately. Hydra home is drinking water cut got it all out water and Coffee Coffee Jesse Jesse Raven and we are off the podcast. We are caused a podcast. This is your first episode welcome. Where a podcast Donna Donna if you knew that but we're podcast the talks about fucking want today we're going to be talking about skin and hair routines? That's general like upkeep of your cleanliness. I don't I'll have enough to talk about Jesse so yeah but we had some under question. Okay I actually have beautiful skin and Jesse has beautiful skin happens all the time. Come up to us. They like you guys have such a great look for Rio you verner podcasting. How do you keep it up yeah? You're really the most beautiful people we've ever seen for radio like that. I was thinking of that joker there. Yeah 'cause Jessie trying to become a comedian comedian so if you know what do you mean trying. We're also right now watching comedian driving getting coffee offier which is again these ridiculously stupid name like arising Ted Bundy Film on likes incredibly stupid and really bad man which isn't the name of it. I just cannot remember because it's such a bad name but we're watching that and now Jesse is inspired. Yeah I feel like you gotta cut that part there. It's less inspiring food is funny. We should talk about how funny the show is. Jesse is inspired to want to become all go watch it support court comics that are doing it in the things they deal. That's what our shows about. I don't understand why you're so like triggered right now but anyways we are watching again when should definitely I think because it's getting hot in here and I'm kind of like we haven't gone to announce. Let's go announcements Lavigne's okay so our first announcement and our August I we're releasing new podcast Pascall fucking bitch features myself which is Raven Mulch and Ginny Cubal who was in our game of thrones episode a couple of weeks ago and what we're going to be doing is basically a book a book club a podcast so you can join us you read the book. We're not going to spoil the big parts in the book so you don't necessarily need to run the buck but we're going to be talking about it. We're talking about the author we're getting down and dirty and and Mitch and about books and Bitch about life and just bitch or book and him but we're bitch book on the bitch that comes out August I and the first book we're going to breed as we've always slipped in the castle by Shirley Jackson so you can <hes> read that kind of meet us on August I kind in the same area or same general location. Wherever you listen to podcasts in give it a read and you can follow us you right now by going to twitter instagram and following us at book Embiid Pod so folles there tell her friends read the book Yeah Yeah Bitch with US okay? What are their now since we got our next announcement is starting August Twelfth Izzy new season on Scratch Academy so if you didn't get enough of me playing dungeons and dragons <hes> in the summer months in the fall months I'm going to be applying more dungeons and dragons so that starts August twelfth? My first show is on August thirteenth. I believe at like seven seven thirty P._M.. A._M. Pacific Standard Time so I'll be guys more information about that when that kind of comes up the set aside from that you can follow us on twitter at caught the podcast and twitter instagram facebook live side Club saw cast dot com patriots dot com slash podcast give us money okay so this week's hot cakes actually talking a lot about what has been unannounced at Sandia con now this wall so far so far because we're not gonNA clued any of the marvel marvel stuff will probably talk about that next week must because it hasn't happened in this time line so oh yeah the first thing on our list is something we've talked about a lot on the podcast and that's new witcher series and we got our first trailer any I think it's good I mean like Henry cavill levels the witcher yeah he actually looks really good and all the people that they have playing like I mean Jennifer and Syria dare looking stories when it'd be a little bit more. We had a feeling that it'd be more towards the bucks so yeah I mean I was always going to watch it still going to watch it yeah same same. I think it's GonNa be interesting to watch. I think it'll be very interesting to see how they really kind of portrayed the magic in the world so that it's not really all just like Oh. It's just magic just happens like where does girl get his powers Hauer the like how does Jennifer how's that differ from how Syria gets hers and they have dry ads in the show so I'd be interested to see how they work all that out no definitely yeah. I think I'm interested for sure I mean you know uh we know I'm really bad of people so I don't know but we know who all the people playing like. Some of the characters are and stuff right so we got an idea of like how they're going to act and all righty see people getting really just upset. I'm just not liking it because of some of the way like how they have tryst miracle cast like she's not a ginger big Titi Female Yada Yada. I don't know she is. I don't know her bra size but things like that. I could tell when maybe get people people upset and it just really seems like the cast is a little less known. There are some a couple of people on the cast like Henry Cavill and some of the their characters that are bigger actors and actresses by right. It's really it's going to be interesting to see kind of how the others really Kenan's take on the names of those characters nice going to watch it might get glad we have trailing now. Though so you know we can actually see some stuff going on bothers me. I really liked the way the medallion looked in the game but yeah no. I think the medallion is I saw it sideways like that right or whatever style of a wolf you know. Let's head straight on. I don't know I really liked to. I think it's like you got me. Jesse got me medallion once we finished. It's not like the prop was difficult to get like their hands on right yeah. They could have done the one from the game and that would have. I collided in more with the game think people would have liked that but I mean that's a small thing I liked. The trailer looked really good right and you probably won't even notice like ninety percent of the time yeah yeah yeah. I wonder yeah how well <hes> How signs for girls magic. I wonder how they're gonNA look in the show tale like 'cause you see him doing some of the symbol by. I don't feel like you see really any factual like magic flaky June the game so I wonder how that's GonNa Look Yeah Yeah. I have no idea again. It's not wasn't a very like a productive trailer to be honest with. You know like we see a lot of monsters. I think that's another cool thing like you see on-street. I find that like secondary of my interest to this show like magic in like the idea that he's like out there like the monsters are going to be okay. This is the monster this episode is the monster season. Whatever there'll be tough does Siri Ham for Chris? You know that's the interesting part. Trust is going to not be in character this particular one. I don't know 'cause I haven't read the books to Whoa yes I. I have actually read the the first book I believe it was okay. I didn't love it. I don't love it. Go have read any the books yeah like the first one hand this really like <hes> fairy tale lusk theme so there were some stuff that was very much like a beauty in the beast almost and like stories like that and so I kinda felt it a little hokey but maybe I should give it another tribe. I because I think maybe I just wasn't in the right mind side. I think I had to like rush there. It was the library book and Yeah Yeah Yeah but we'll see we shall see but on top of that we also got swinging shows and stuff frigging morty yeah. I guess what I always exciting. Yeah Fray exactly so ricky morty is returning first season spore four. Thank our yet and yeah we got our I flip in a kind of like twenty. I was just showing Morty and his dad so we didn't get to see any rick in this clip but it was funny and actually the the guy doing the voice of the alien is surely and I'm going to absolutely butcher the name but it's a tape Tak- what T._t.. Who is the director of Thor Ragnarok and three or four which is actually announced? It's this past week to release thor four and they're bringing him back on so he's hilarious to he's so funny because I think he's in a bunch of other stuff as an actor and voices and so yeah and so he's that alien which was really funny interesting good. There's a good clip. It's a good short clip. I mean we can morty. You know everybody likes it but there's nothing that you know. There's nothing that clip could ever show. I think that'd be like okay. Yeah we know the season Egypt says independent yeah and then it Kinda does over our 'cause like with the whole we get the general four past there I think in the end of season three like you get some kind of know where season for his going with a bird person yeah I mean there that was just the thing that was thrown out there right like the robot one yeah but like that but that could come in air could not even like that's the thing about the show right. It's like it doesn't really matter now. I think there's the almost always like an over arching theme to kind of the in like a plot for the entire serey or season by it's not the focus of every episode like that season. The I mean like pickle requisites own thing yeah yeah and that's that's kind of my point whether it's like that like I'm not sure that that Phoenix person is the point of where the show is going to go that could be a random thing but he came out and he's like I'm Phoenix person now. Is that way he says something. I can watch those but yeah no like. It's like it's not that doesn't have to be involved at all. We can never bring him back up ever again and the show would still move on and there will be like an overarching story or whatever but like no no individual story actually tells you that's going to be <hes> so that's kind of my my two cents on that whole thing yeah what else what else did we have this move quickly through these yeah for sure so the next this one is the magic. The gathering animated series had a panel at which we had mentioned that a couple upsets go yeah yeah yeah. We did a couple episodes ago where are basically they're releasing a magic theather animated series on Net flicks. The Russo brothers are going to be directing it of in charge of that and it turns out that they released who like the story is going to be mainly a bow and this from reports looks like it's going to be Jase and Chandra her gray which name characters I think like we were pretty when we talked about it. We were like Jay's obviously yeah yeah..

"That for about a month and it was a ramp up. I started doing just an hour a day. The first day I worked out this last month thirty minutes and that's like an hour could take is like thirty minute like quicker right because we had gone into some vacations other things in our lives we had gotten to where are only workouts where yoga yeah we great workout. However I have? I see it now is more like my active rest. It is yeah because it's it's not too extensive. I think if you're trying to maintain your keeping like your diet is like on point and you're being very healthy. I think yoga you're only form of <hes> workout account. Is I mean you could do that but if I think that supplementing that with like heavy lifting you're GonNa Lake Lose More Weight and cardio for sure so yes after the scan. I'd say the changes. I'm really making is I am the cardio relatively new thing for me that just added back in or whatever because as I went from thirty minutes to an hour a day to an hour and a half day I was a little cardio but then I back down to just lifting and then now I'm GonNa add and some more cardio and I think I'm going to consistent with that from now until the next scan to a target that visceral fat along with a few dieting changes and making probiotics are apparently very good if we're targeting that I think everybody should give a try for probiotic has he got healthy stuff. Increasing things like that will help target that I'm going to try and lower that as priority number one along with that I think that will shrink down my you know android region so that one of the measures that gave us as you don't want your android region to have a higher body fat percentage as a region then your overall body fat percentage which is where I li- right now right now I got to convert at that and it will drop my overall total body fat by just getting rid of the visceral it will drop me a few percent so I'll be down another percentile because right now. I'm sitting at the edge of the eightieth percentile so we down in the sixty two eightieth range just getting rid of that visceral fat so that's all I gotTa do get rid of it and then I'm there so that's cool number. One and that's how I'm going to do it and diet wise. You know people in the past my no. I did the Carnivore Diet. I'm still kinda sticking to that. I know a lot closer to low-carbon Kito. I am yes I as I say `I sticking close to that but I have now a better target for my calories because what I was doing was my trimming calories was two thousand and my balking was three thousand. I think two thousand is was even too much basically because my metabolic seventeen fifty right and you they really wanted deficit in kind of like so that's what our restaurants right down to going to do yeah where he does seventeen PHYSI- minus thirteen three and we're GonNa do that in workout heavily every day but we're going to stick to those metabolic embolic rates because or maintaining a set calorie goal but we're also building muscle on top right and then if your body with proteins and fats as opposed to carbs in wall you'll have more energy. That'll feed your muscles prevent muscle your muscles for being eaten by your body and your body will turn those fat stores and say I need some extra energy to go through all this exercise and I'll start getting the doors. Now this might happen faster in two months to we might get to the point where like we're starting to hit some fatigue and run out of energy and our bodies are clearly shedding fat. We'll be able to tell right and then at that point. We'll have to think something new never get stuck on anything but that's my plan that you're like second goal or your for school like my first schools visceral fat where you're right this goal. You're what was it well so there's fitness diet diet diet mental health care and decks and then our deck so yeah my fitness goals were to attend so we go to yoga Monday Wednesday Friday Tuesday Thursday nights. Were busy unfortunately could go oh to hit class but I've got some time in the middle of the day I move around some meetings and stuff. I'm GONNA try and attend to hit class at least once a week. There's also the one on Saturdays so if I don't make during the week I'm going to that on Saturdays right right. Then that was my that's your health and then an hour of cardio every day so so even on my rest days which are Sundays activist as I wanna get an hour dedicated cardio even on that day right right so that that was that the food wise. I want to track my calories every day. It's going to be the main one in carnivore. They don't encourage you to track your calories us. Oh fell into that habit. I was tracking them loosely but I was tracking them inappropriately because those eating too much still right so I'm going to try and trim that down and track more appropriately now still remain under thirty five grand scarves. You know gatty stick in that direction mental health. What did I say? I don't remember 'cause you filled it out without me. Yeah I was sitting there staring at it and I'm like I was trying to think all the things I do yeah. It's like I do that already so I can't quite remember and then my deck scandals get my fat down to zero visceral fat so you're visceral fat down zero. Oh you're visceral fat. Sorry I was thinking like your total body fat Jesse visceral fat down to zero which is totally doable. I think a kiss zero. I don't think it's going to be anything permanent and realistically amping as long is I'm less than one. I know what I'm doing is working and I'll just keep doing that if it's around the same as it is now in two months I clearly have to change them. So those are my goals. How about you okay so my goals and so oh for the physical goal my workout goal it was to do four days of lifting or yoga a week four days so I can't do any less than I totally do more and I probably will do more like I'll do cardio and whatnot but I have to make sure like okay if I'm not doing yoga today a half to lift if I'm not going to that Yoga class five days we'll maybe Essex Committee and then under that as well? I wanted do one kind of unique active activity a week so something that they don't normally do like hiking. Don't do that very often. Don't go swimming very often. We don't go play soccer. We don't go kayaking as often as I'd like. We got tennis rackets. We don't do this or all things we used to. Everyone and I want to get back into it because I those are all I love being inactive the person and so those are things that I like to do like soccer for example I I have played soccer in some shape or form since the fifth grade and so at liked to get back into doing that in Enron get more often and that would be an active Ross yeah. It's our active rest and we WANNA do that. We're like you're still active but you're not like sitting ends at Jim. Jim Fatiguing your muscles but you're giving your mind break here. It's like a different kind of mindset that you're putting yourself into which really fun you'll think about it exactly so so that was something that I wanted to add in. That was kind of fun. That wasn't just like okay just wanted to do this four times a week and then be done with that <hes> sat for my diet. I also put talking calories because I'm really bad about that when we go out to eat or when I have an alcoholic beverage I really thought about smacking kids. Yes might not have a lot of carbs or <hes> calories in the drink itself Muslim do but even if it doesn't alcohol does your metabolism bless your metabolism for like twenty four hours so but anyways I am really bad about tracking it so I'd like to get better at tracking it and what was doing for the past like monther like maybe half a month. I was doing Kito because I was like man. I haven't lost a lot of weight in a really long time. I've been very good yeah I wanted to shake it up and I was tracking mckellar or my carbs my protein my fast my macro tracking them all very closely. I WANNA continue to do that but I'm not gonNA do Kito anymore because I don't think that that works for my my body works for a lot of bodies and it's worked for my body before but at this stage of my life just doesn't really took my boxes so I'm just going to move on from that and go back to my flex -tarian lifestyle raking veggies and fruits and be happy yeah and I think on top of that was the whole thing of don't stick with something if it's not working and then also make sure you constantly check in and adjust as needed yeah exactly and I like to poop everybody like soup in this diet. It does not make it easy so I'm GonNa keep that in the podcast. I don't really care so and then for mental I put that I was going to read an hour a day. That kind of goes the whole book and Bitch thing like I don't get myself enough time to read and I love reading so I'm GonNa read at least an hour a day and then my skin goal is I am going to lower my body fat five percent by the next one in two months I wouldn't be down five percent which will put me right in between the twentieth and fortieth percentile of women. My Age which I think is a good place to be. I don't think that's like too much to Kinda. Try for just because like the next one is like like elite athletes as the next section right after this and I'm like I'm not an elite athlete right but when you like to be there for at least a day do I get that's Michael Scream. Oh yes the thing there's like once you get there. You can say okay I made it. Maybe you can always say they'll tell the story of yeah one time. I was super fit. I was hot. I was elite as up there. You know like pro football players could yeah for a moment yeah yeah. I was right there so I think this was a great episode but it's running a little bit long so let's Rabbit Yep. That's it okay so hopefully you guys enjoyed it and hopefully anybody out there. WHO's thinking about taking the plunge into a healthier lifestyle? We'll do so you can reach out device. "There's an awesome separate at check it out our strong curbs and I would recommend it because I've been on this is about my second week so I know it's not that long by I've I'm already like I've already stepped up. My weight's like in almost every single workout which is so I mean it's so empowering with I mean especially when you're a woman and you may not be a strong and in many areas so to be able to do that just because you're just doing it consistently and you're getting stronger and you see differences and changes in your body and I think that the next time we do these scans or it's going. N._B._A.. A huge difference in the areas where I have the most <unk> body fat which is my guy annoyed which has ma but mike this is actually so they do break down into regional here which is nice. They have your arms. Your legs your trunk. which is the majority of your ribs the top it's lower than that? Let's say like you said it was like belly button. Now I it was basically like from where the ribs jobs do that Little Kirby thing and up the top your belly button up and then the android region is the lower abdominal like lower breast `ages up is trump and from them. They're like from the lower prestigious to like the bottom of your abs is android is like the average but I think it's just the lower average and specifically. I don't think so also then guy annoyed would v the next one which is the upper leg area but yeah you're gluts so the guy annoyed an android regions are your core yeah. Everybody talks about core. They're not just talking about your ads. They're also talking uh-huh gluts your hip lectures yeah this sort of thing which I had the most amount of fat in my guide and my legs which is very obvious like when you look at me I have always had super super massive powerful thunder size years playing soccer so that's where a lot of my massive. Your total fat tissue or is your highest region fat percentage. That's my other reason. Fat Percentage is higher fire in those areas definitely just lower because my total mass and that is only seventeen pounds and my trunks one hundred ten so there's no way this is one hundred ten forty or fifty nine pounds and my is twenty palce. Yes belly button down is android. That's the only way I can rationalize this number seventeen pounds well. My android is nine point three pounds yeah. There's no way your entire abdominal region is nine point. Three yeah. Okay trunk is says sixty. I got a lot of <unk> junk in that trump right but it's mostly muscle yeah I mean yeah by trunk is one hundred ten point eight. I will say <unk>. I carry most of my like percentage fat in my android but it's only seven point five pounds fact there so like it's not a whole lot of fat in the body terms of things it would only lower where my body fat down by like two percent to get rid of it. Maybe a little bit more but you know the trunk has a good bit of fat and as well it's thirty eight point four percent in it's forty two point five five pounds so definitely I think that's upper bell here so you know I've got a little bit of some love handles where I kind of doughnut thing that a lot of men have right in particular a lot of everybody has got fat right and so for sure that's what yeah that's what we see here like. I'm generally fit across my arms and legs <hes> my trunk and that's why I say like the trunks including because if you look at the scan on the upper body part it's not very much fat but in the lower part there's a lot more so there was off the skewed by trunk and I'm basing this off of the regional body fat percentages would put me in the twentieth beneath fortieth percentile for my arms and legs. We just got work YEP. I'm not I mean he can't target so this is one thing you can't target regions to get rid of fat. Now you can target apparently visceral fat yeah another part of our of Kim Yeah subcutaneous fat yeah so visceral fat for any of that doesn't now is the bad pen fat the fact that gives you. It's linked to you type two diabetes higher diseases is things like that so if we all picturing our lives that old man veterans like a six pack of all the time has like big round beer belly but it's hard it's not soft and Gigli like Santa Claus. It's hard visceral fat. That's in there. It's hard fat and it sits underneath your muscles close to the organs hate anger and the grinch the grinch is a great rate example of subcutaneous fat. Now is the fact that's between your muscles and your skin and his Gigli and pinnacle is the word they use in here right so if you can kind of like pinch every region and kind of pinch up some fat that's usually the subcutaneous and so visceral fat really. It's where your organs are so it's going to be in that trunk region. You know what is it the android region ah you're not going to have it in your arms and legs and stuff not a huge deal there so you know I have a three point eighteen pounds of my overall fat mass which again was sixty nine point three being this fat and so what they want for you to have the amount of pounds is zero zero target is to get that two zero as close as possible on this year. You're like a performance athlete. Most people won't get zero and be able to maintain zero so you know he tried to get low but and most everybody else doing the scans had a low number. Mine's pretty high so I listen. This is my target chicken dinner of visceral fat. Mine is at zero point one eight so I'm the closest to zero and the present I was talking to you like this is great. You don't really need to worry about this. Just keep doing what you're doing thing and don't worry about having to get it down very much because not very many people do except for like high level athletes but I think women don't have as much. I think it's something the I believe. They said this this to me but I don't know that man do tend to get a lot more more visceral fat. Women's fat is on like the outside of your organ like more of the yeah. Just it's just women are more likely to get their subcutaneous. Yes ben are more likely to give visceral fat so yes and you know I think not rag on my dad but genetic yeah I think there is a predisposition to have Israel fat and my family so you know that's where we're at but definitely that's my number one target out of the scan. I'M GONNA target my visceral fat and in two months. I'm hoping to get that two zero or less than one right yeah. Let's talk about your goals a little bit well. Let's so where getting close to the end of our episode. Why don't we end it with kind of now that we have these scans? What were some of the <hes> specific goals that you want to kind of do both for your next scan? Visceral fat kind of lowering was so like personally I've been hitting the gym hard to try and build up my muscles toned up a little bit and then try and just get that picturesque muscular. Look Yeah about your ask your workout routine. Yes so usually I wake up in the morning and this is something I'm going to continue doing. I was waking up in the morning starting with some lifting. I started doing strength training pretty much. Only I didn't do enough cardio really over the last month I think because I was looking at my body fat numbers and I'm like these aren't so bad. I figured the decks scam. It'd be a little higher. It doubled so I'm going to have to keep this new plan up which is new plan inspired by a friend of ours was to here yeah is I'm GonNa Start doing forty five minutes of Cardio every morning. So as soon as I wake up you leave I go to the gym I do forty five minutes of Cardio and now this is going to be long low intensity cardio by low-intensity. I mean my heart rate isn't gonNA go up much because for some reason to have a hard time getting my heart rate up early in the morning but it tends to spike like my heart rate the rest of the day so it's going to be long as forty five minutes of that every morning then I lift usually for an hour to an hour and a half depending on the exercises I'm doing Monday. Wednesday Fridays upper body arms shoulders cash justin back respectively Tuesday Thursday all lower body legs and adds though Mr Adding apps more to every day because I also also learned that that's where I have the least amount of lean muscle tissue so up my lean muscle tissue there as well in my android region so which is a common thing like for men the glamour muscles the Shoulders Arms Arms Yeah Trust Times focus on legs and avs things like that which looking at mine like you've kind of inspired me because my lowest total region fat is my android so those ads which H._r.. I'm actually pretty proud of and then so my that is also my lowest lean tissue which only seven pounds but out of the nine point three pounds in that region but my arms though are at thirty three point point four percent fat in their fourteen point eight pounds total four point nine being fat nine point three being leaned tissue muscle or lean tissue try to shoot over ten yet thinking played the life yeah house because that's not all my gym people like already. That's you know if you're doing the math year. It's two hours in fifteen minutes. There's more yeah so then. Usually I'll follow that up afterwards with either cool down run or something or not depends on the day because when Raven gets home we then go to the gym again yes before we go to Yoga Yoga. Yeah and I have another hour in the gym where I try to do fifteen minutes of high intensity running so there's it's a good benefits from high intensity benefits from low-intensity running like I said I have a hard time spiking my Harry heart rate in the morning so it's easier to the high intensity later so fifteen minutes of high intensity and then some light lifting because I don't want to blow my load before Yoga Tai before yoga yeah so some really light lifting just to practice a moves and stuff so anytime you're going to do a lift at the gym practice it ahead of time with like some lighter awaits. Make sure you got your form good so it's time practicing form for about forty five minutes or so and then we do yoga for an hour for an hour so all told I'm doing a little over three hours four hours. Maybe most days and really I've been consistent on that for about a month and it was a ramp up. I started doing just an hour a day. The first day I worked out this last month thirty minutes and that's like an hour.

Oh I'm trying to think more and more oh my Gosh Tuxedo mask creepy now let him looking back at it because he's an adult and she is like twelve but at the time I had feelings I think that's what they're pushing. Encourage each. That's yeah ooh Geen from from bleach. He's Hot Tayo with his weird snake face. Do you WANNA do girls. We we do girls to top Annemie hot girl list. Are there any that come to mind like immediately. SUNADA comes to mind immediately for me. This is going to be bad. Good endless list good yeah. Some of these people don't know on this a lot of my now like a lot of my do recognize the enemies and stuff but like you know and I recognize like e Gross Nami Army for sure or a human I was all or he may over <hes> Rukia I'm going to I was totally. I'm on that side lease people you can come at me by I sure Oh yeah sabre yeah. WHO's like King Arthur basically the fates day and now from from bleach to now is hot yeah when she when she isn't a little girl yes yes very good very good? I think that we also they're like I feel like it's really really easy to come up with anime. There there is the list is endless for your hot boys in your hot girls because they're all drawn that way as I'm just GonNa like all of them and it's like they listening basically every female character. I know that was why was like I'm having a tough time because this is like every character so yeah. Do you WANNA move onto the next okay matthew man offer instagram also on the co-op couch podcasts which you can find on podcasts ever. He asked this forbidden question. which pokemon would you eat well? Let's do like original hundred fifty one. Yeah I mean that doesn't make it easier. Bill like okay so like I mean realistically Toros would be like Oh yeah yeah yeah. We just like eating regular cow yeah for sure so madge Carp Sushi. I don't think match carp is in like lakes rivers and suffer in the ocean wind-driven stuff. You don't WanNa eat it. Yea then maybe just fish serve it out. If I have to be honest I think slow poke probably has a good amount of fat content to his me so I bet it would like marvel is really well and cook very well think and also I mean in the same kind of like realms. That's nor lacks sure yeah actually probably eat wall. Yeah I think would taste better than the rest. I like Taurus would probably tastes just like stay. Canopy probably gonNA taste like egg. Maybe Yeah Yeah Yeah you know basically you could you could cook any anything on the world. Today you can cook any Pokemon so I don't think you have a problem. Some might taste weird like if you've ever eaten like snake you know could eat gio. Did you think you don't think they have some meat underneath brain. It's like a clam kind of situation. We have like shellfish like pokemon by maybe Gio Jio dude in that sense. Maybe crap open. You take all the rock off and there's like a juicy little. It's just the brain right right but you cook it right in the tastes real good days real good but yeah I'm thinking like you know if you think any like Lizard Type esque POK mon tastes a little bit like Lizard and snake tastes now any fish type like other grabs like you cool with eaten at nine tales yes. I'm saying it's like if I guy breath yeah I would eat cat or dog. I wouldn't eat our cat or dog. That's wondering if somebody presented this means that hey it's dog that wouldn't say like okay. I'M NOT GONNA try skin. You'll yet obviously I'm not gonna eat it from Mike some random who doesn't like they know how to cook but if I go to a restaurant I say Asia and they're like hey you ought to order the dog yeah sure now I'm not GonNa lie new to looks really delicious very thick thighs this. I think that they can be really meaty for sure yeah. No I think they'd all taste good so and even like we expanded out past one fifty. I think there are some though that are like bet like there's like sheep ones and more cowans and stuff. I think those are going to be the ones where we would probably just farm them for me. I don't think data would taste good yeah yeah. Even if a transfer Ditto is a failed clone of you. Is that what they attempted to clone the meal they created Ditto because they fucked up within. They were able to create mute. You Eventually Nice also Magda my megatonne not good those would not taste good. We'll give you gotta have something in there like a brain. I don't know I mean that looks like a lot of metal. I just doesn't look good to me and I obviously I wouldn't eat any of the eady's absolutely not or like the grasp acumen. I guess maybe they would taste like you just like maybe trim them like herbs. Well yeah season with a bell sprout and stuff. Probably you know that was my thought as I was like at a bell sprout and then an audit rush to buy I bet you can eat like a full Amish Sam okay well. That was really uncomfortable and I didn't like talking about that. Yeah it's not bad gotta eat them all out just essay and how many pokemon he'll eat and it's all of them. He'll literally any of them number off the tape race so all right do only this last one or two Rava yeah last question how did did you to meet and this is from grace at Hilda Gar Towel Jim. I think that's how you say yet by Tall Jim tall desk by said tell. Jim told Jim Tall Jim. We I think you you put separation between this. I mean there are no 'cause hildegard and then Tall Jim. They're capitalized so those are obviously to separate words Gotcha. Yeah I feel like gem would have a capital G. but you find her on twitter. She's amazing. Her husband are so supportive of ice and we absolutely love them. I love interacting with them on <hes> on twitter and they're one of the people that when I came back to Twitter Day befriended handed me without even thinking I mean in what were they thinking south who knows who knows but yes the question. How did you to meet slash become a couple in a bar? We yet technically so <hes> I I went to the University of Georgia and I was at my senior year. An Jesse had already graduated and his brother twin brother Joss was still in the area living as Townie yes and he's a twin win and they were there on their birthday and my best friend was dating Jesse's best friend at the time time not even more and so they A._M.. Came to stay with me though in in Athens and to go to their birthday party to Jesse and Joshua's birthday party and they eventually asked me to come onto and I met just downtown at a bar yeah and and that's pretty much it and then yeah we stayed in touch and we dated long distance for a little bit eventually raven moved out to Seattle Ball's rolling so those are all real real fast here. We got engaged in married really quickly yeah very quickly but hey we've been married for five years now. So yeah yeah yeah we got probably engaged in a lot of people think that this is like. I don't think people think this is weird but people are like really really like surprise me. Tell them but yeah they're married and we were engaged married within six months meeting each other yep yeah yeah ish maybe a little bit more yeah. I think maybe like seven or eight months but like not a whole. All the time is eight months. WHO's eight months October October? Oh we are engaged in a warrior. I'm saying married though you gay dating March though so yeah lakes governments amount and yeah it was really quick but yeah we've been together for five years. No no you know Yep yeah. There are no records Kurtz Yeah Yeah Pretty interesting pressing story. I guess I mean it's interesting. Not It is when like I mean we're not gonNA write a movie abetting those people. It'd be okay but yeah we we'd have to spice it up slightly more in the whole well like my best friend was dating your best friend and they came to stay with me and then we all like they were about to not even invite me to go out that night even because you had some friends and one of them the you you guys were considering being not going out and so if plus you have other stuff to do to write a gun out with your friends right like bill you chose to go with Courtney and my best friend so yeah. I think that that that made all the difference. I was like that one decision to go downtown everything since then courtney has also married dude named Jesse. It's true true. What a fucking copycat right now we love them a- and Nick has moved on as well is dating a new girl that he really likes yes? Yes yes yes so there we go now. Everybody's cut out to all kind of into what has been happy unlike other married somebody movies where they have like little thing. I'm like still and so went on to cure cancer exactly what happened. That's a little N. credit little. Where are they now like? You know everybody's he's happy. It's key hopefully not with those people specifically but there are other people at the party. I don't even remember who was there. I don't really either but I know that there were other people really drunk tail. Yeah I mean I remember seeing some people that I hadn't seen a long time like Bradford yeah on their. WHO's one of my good friends from elementary school school stuff like that? We were tight. He went to you as well. We went to law school so he was still. They're doing law school. Since then. He's graduated and I think lives in Atlanta practicing law yeah exactly yeah I remember <hes> wanting to get waffle house and then having to get pizza <hes> so that was pretty annoying. Bed Pretty got waffle house in the next thing you get the next day. I got pulled pork. Though it was good like wasn't name Pizza Pizza place is like really good. Oh Yeah it's really good right in length downtown Athens. I can't even remember what it's called but they have like pizzas by the slice super good <hes> and then like waffle house off houses for the next day is good..

"All. I know you can't be like Oh. We're star wars people. We don't like Star Trek right as as an example yeah don't like Star Trek. Both that's cool yeah. You don't like either whatever that's cool. You can like those things like football. You can like this thing like the whole basis of our pockets like I can like. I can like make like football. I can like dungeons and dragons. I can like magically gathering. I like I watched sex in the city. Confidence doesn't come from being a part of this group and tribal is doesn't come from the tribal as our part of Yams from yourself and then you make your own opinions and think outside the box exactly what they tell you you feel confident in the decision. You're making to make yourself happy like I think that that's a huge part where it's like like I don't feel self conscious. About what a doing anymore like it did when I was in high school like I felt like I couldn't go to them as they only I played dungeons and dragons with my parents this weekend. I would never have said that to somebody in high school. Now I can literally they say what are the fuck I want 'cause I'm so much more confident in kind of what I'm doing and is not based on what other people around me at are also doing 'cause so I like you know yeah I think <hes> parts of Geek it culture or whatever has improved in that you know expanded my nine. Adopt process hasn't really like I don't take stock in the culture part of anything because that implies that you know there's some preconceived notions beliefs whatever he'll bakery people now you have your own thoughts and ideas and pay privatize roads okay could work so let's move on to the next none okay so this is from stew at Mega trion underscore forty six on twitter and it asked who would play you and five of your friends family nemesis any film version of your life. You can't choose yourself so I I'll choose the actor for you and you choose the actress for me and I thought I play myself in my my own because you know who I'm picking. I'll take for you and you can pick for me. Would you really want Josh to be you at a movie paired with sound but like big name actors actresses like you have Richard Audit and he's like the Rock and then you actually would pick for your lock of rich. Let's who I picked. Who would play Ginny then I was going to stay like carry nightly? Maybe yeah I could see that Yeah Cure. Probably I'm looking at a list of like famous actresses for now. I WANNA look at a list of famous actress says I feel like if we picked care nightly lately no I I honestly cure. Nightly is a good choice because if you look at this picture of her on I._M._D._b.. At least she's got like the right proportions and getting judy is a super skinny. It looks right yeah yeah now yeah I am like Richards also just as both for us makes you can be a Helena Bonham Carter and Albie Johnny Depp. I'll take it I mean I don't really want you and it's really funny funny for here. I was great if pick Chris Pratt because I think you look like Chris Frat and then if that's the case then what do I look like who am I in that pairing yeah. I still think <hes> bottom car would be a good deal. I don't think you look like her too much but but I think my disposition like a big fish. Have you seen big fish. I love big fish. I think her and like big fish is very much me and I feel like our life at that point. If we're going in that direction is it's a Tim Burton film and so that's where we're going yeah yeah so I don't think the rock fits in that Tim Burton esque realm but now I wanna look at like other Tim Burton films and see like who usually play who were frequently in Tim Burton films scrolling down down and no I'm Catherine O'Hara. I WANNA be Catherine O'Hara era. That's how I want to be. I love Catherine O'Hara like my favorite actress in the whole wide world and you could be Michael Keaton. That's what we're GONNA do here. You're going to be Michael. Keaton and I'm going to be Catherine O'Hara overdoing. We're doing like older people so that works and then Richard Shelby Danny Devito daddy debate out and then ginny could be Helena Bonham Carter like all allow that tear because I think Helena Bonham Carter in like big fish release you could age up yeah yeah accident. Helena Bonham Carter I think is like a similar age issue shield. I don't know I guess by Richard Danny Devito but we need we need another person because this is five people that were looking for <hes> and are things Ripley plays Ripley. I don't know Kevin Hart. Yep is playing reveille is Kevin Hart eleven or the The lady that plays Fehmi Anyway Yeah. That's you should do Ripley. 'cause I mean we'll stick with the gender voice. Yeah Parker could be Kevin Higher Kevin Hikes. I love it. This is yeah because if we're going to do like a older people as US yeah be cool. I'm here for it. Okay next question I mean unless you WanNa think of any other I mean if we WANNA do like the Chris Pratt for Yale. Then who am I I want to say I think I'd make Jacob good like Brie Larson or she's in those books Jennifer Lawrence Yeah they go yeah. I'll take yeah I used to like. I think our neighbor she has has a little bit by like we're like this aim high build and whatnot <hes> do Janine would be Elizabeth Olsen who plays Wanda morning scarlet witch and then Richard Words Paul Rudd there you go yeah band so good at then Ripley is going to be I think Zoe Saldana <music> ads like Amora where she's like really pissed off about everything like all the time. I think that would be funny but that's really Ripley. I can't think of like all the female characters that we've talked about this before. I think all female characters are so tough all the time in like doc or any of them funny in Derby well tell like fat amy super awesome good one. We'll keep with that. We'll keep affecting me and Kevin Hart Yeah Perfect so that'd be voice over work anyways yeah all right so the next one from that the dead horse podcast dead horse pod on twitter area. We loved them. They make a real are dungeons and dragons park gas or tabletop R._P._G.. PODCAST but <hes> who are your favorite anime hot boys yes. That's a really good question. What is the definition of what the definition is? Anna may hot boy list. Is it like L. Like not to is one of them's the hottest the hottest the hottest and sexiest anime guys on enemy impulse dot com. Oh my Gosh Hukou is on here and I'm not GONNA lie. You guys a first time. I've ever watched naruto eyelid jet thought this character there was a female and so very confused because at like they were using like I don't know like it was before I was hipped pronouns and like I thought maybe something was up with the translation because we only watch in Japanese but that characters forty nine forty nine years old number forty nine Kashi is actually on my list. I think Akashi is one of the hottest kiss like in the league sauce gays and good say I feel like Arto did like played that up a little bit. I think how hot sauce gay as well. I think they like. We're really end either like let's make our dudes kind of this like this like you know Jalal from Fairytale Jalal by I've told you they read that right every single one of his other enemy. I can't remember what's is called. Rave master has already what rave master is go. Check it out yeah. It's fairy tale very Jalal is so high because he's got like that mystery thing going on and then he also has a hot face patio so I'm here for it. <hes> what else what about who's the do s class guy and fairy tale got eaten up by Act Malaysia got the older mysterious serious about just can't remember his name right now. Fresh is magic suck. I can't remember if you look it up because I'm like I have no idea I honestly like Nardo shouldn't be higher on the list. I'm Ben Bam right from seven deadly sins. He's sexy. Oh yeah the Fox Fox. Can the Fox guy. He's Hot Tamale as I hear airframe you'll darts. Oh Yeah Oh who's Guy who do I love from one piece. What's his name? I'm going to get his head here late the Tattoo of his jolly Roger Oh my gosh why can't shakes God I if I can have a huge huge bonus for shanks sexiest pirate even with without the are. I'll take him what I mean. He's perfect without it yeah. I'm trying to think <hes> who else from one piece I mean. Gene Sondhi I think is hot. Lucy gets hot kind of not really ooh Frankie. Frankie todd was any becomes like Super Weird Cyborg I._S.. Waitress Cyborg parties but I I mean I'm kind of into that. He blew up his entire body right. That's what happened right exactly not to number one on this list. That's kind of weird but I have another one gray. Eh speaking of fairy tale right agrees okay Trevor Belmont not necessarily an anime hot boy but enemy style Trevor Belmont Castle Vania Finger Case Richard Armitage does the voice so that and it's beautiful he so sexy. He says he would relegate you. Go Oh each ago Yup Yup Yup. I like it you go. I think out of Jones Melissa's length think out of like Nardo characters probably still sauce gay. I'll be I'll be that person. That's like sauce gays number one. I did have a thing for WHO's a metal dragon offer very tall man because you can't yell yeah good jail. I always kind of had a thing for Jill on each ego. What about age so from one punch me genius the like Cyborg Guy He's okay? I like yeah yeah yeah but that's just like a character. That's out there. What about like somebody from <hes>? He's the guy that's like super good from black clover. I can't remember yeah none of them really likes to like the leader of the Bulls whenever black goals the guy with the Yami Yami it is yeah young can get it. I love it. Yes absolutely from bleach. Maybe Ranji Yeah. I loved Renji. I do think each goes cuter who've Roy Mustang from <hes> FOMENTO alchemists see I. I haven't really washed all the way through Fulham alchemists 'cause I don't WanNa feel sad by I know you love him in. You have a hard on for him. "Level spells that you you want to have in your arsenal like you WanNa have cure woods just in case something falls apart and you WanNa have hunters mark and you WanNa have spouse loss for that yeah. The Atta I think alarm is a good one too because you cast as a ritual toiling last eight hours and basically this other thing I like about the conjuration or any of those kind of useful once they can be done rituals yeah yeah I think there are a lot of spells to that can be done as rituals but yeah I get you and ritual if like you're not sure what that means that means you take ten minutes to cast any. Don't use all slot but you have to have prepared unless you're ritual caster say goodbye. Those are good so vain. Unseen Servant Good did spell options yeah. I don't think you'll ever need purify food water or whatever we I mean you might say that I bet the next person I was going to be. Our demand is like okay. Let's make sure Raven and Jesse need to have purify food and drink right but like here's a situation like what are we going to be in where I guess somebody's trying to poison US yeah. Don't take food from scratchy people city lake. Jake landscape always make somebody else eat it. I I don't know all that's an obvious yeah. There are non-magical things. Don't waste your spouse. Lots yeah okay so let's move on so some of these other ones now that we're getting to your coming from ash yeah ask another member of our patriach asked us at Anti Sandwich on twitter. Go give her a follow. She's a Patriot on. Do you want to do the first question yeah. Is there any fictional characters you really looked up to you or wanted to be growing up interesting fictional character yes so particular character in particular I mean I always wanted to go Q.. Not Real so that's my problem with. I never anything I admired about fictional characters. Were there cool powers so I couldn't get this I guess. <hes> there are a lot of people I've talked about on the podcast that I'm like okay. I've always wanted to be this character and like I always looked up to this character and then now I'm like I can't remember any of those. Yes really funny like my brothers. Aissa play <hes> streetfighter ally and I always played Charnley because I always really lake because in that time when that came out when I was playing it in the nineties to be a thick woman and to be a powerful woman that was just not seen there are a lot of like being very thin was very in not having a huge like muscle mass like was very popular so dow is kind of where my mind was. I guess that's one of them and another one I guess was really into charmed growing up yeah yeah and buffy the vampire slayer like both of those and so characters in that I would look up to very often say okay. I want to be like paper yeah. I guess I was looking a lot more of like some other things I mean you know there's yeah fictional characters and more of a sense like not superpowers but yeah I mean they had to deal with regular everyday things you know yeah. You have to give me men in black on getting out. Superpowers behead like super was that doesn't that you know anybody. I want available lsu right. What's another people like that? You don't always have to be super. I was just my mind went. Straight mortal combat. I always thought was really cool. She doesn't have superpowers or does she. I mean they're a little bit super. There are like super powerful but yeah like <hes> who else who else think of a T._v.. Show that does like I mean supernatural. They don't have superpowers fight supernatural things but growing up you wanted to be one of the characters irritation supernatural absolutely not I thought that show well okay so I watch supernatural which actually remember how old I was when it came out yeah young enough to look up to somebody here but when I watched it like they were okay cool. They weren't that cool. What was mostly cool was like you know the creatures? They'd bring it'd be like Oh man. Nobody ever like hunts werewolves in T._v.. Show like that wasn't a thing right <hes> at the time and you know it captured a good audience or whatever with that and then the story got good when they went through the whole like Satan thing and then they were like well like you know you're like okay yeah. These are cool well-developed characters. You could look them you know but I never even watched it that far. I don't think the first time like there's some inkling of what was going on. Maybe it was like the first episode where like cash showed up or something and then I watching it Kinda so so I missed got a lot on that too. I think yeah just think cool good ones that had like some people that were slightly more like normal people like I used to watch stargate as she won with my mom yeah and I really he wanted to be like I thought Jack O'Neill was so cool but I also thought that Egypt Carter likes meant the Carter was really cool so both of those together I always looked up with and I was like I think I'm going to I mean my mom really tried to push this kind if idea but I was like maybe we can work for the government is like an archaeologist or something which I think is a lot more like whatever don't think their government archaeologists but yeah there. Are there actually like a lot of like antropologist archaeologists that work for the government mostly anthropologists but this one St. Archaeologists. I don't think there's whatever this was like the option in the nineties so this is where I got my inspiration for that yes and they do have. I have another one I do. I do like this characters. Good Yeah and definitely colonel. O'Neill is like a good wrong role model type character for sure share and I loved I mean I loved all of the actors in that. Ah by Richard Dean Anderson was just so amazing and that and so I think it's more like I want to be Richard Dean Anderson but another one that popped into my head was farscape and I always really liked <unk> Aaron and I thought she was cool. Yeah I'll say also now. I'm thinking about it more yeah because you know the more you think about this. I think it does actually kind of come to mind more power Rangers Power Rangers were cool people. I did also the thought while we were talking about Ellen Ripley probably my biggest from the Aliens Alien Series Yada Yada Anthology so Ellen Ripley is probably my number one yeah Mike one of my favorite films growing up. I like it. Is there some getting it tastes. Okay what else what else the next one is if you could live in one fictional universe which would it it be. I mean one for okay so I always liked to imagine in any fictional universe right like day to day activities. You're not fighting freeze every day. You're not so like what world would it be super cool to live in day to day and all like an every go on your commute you can sleep. You can do fun stuff like that right but you can do in some cool away yeah. She may not every day and you may not even beat. That's my biggest thing with like if I was to say the the world of Harry Potter it's your normal one. I was GonNa say actually where you could do fun stuff yeah but I'm thinking like I would. There's a potential that you'd still be fucking muggle and now attack. You wouldn't know that you're even in that universe well. I think like we're talking like where you would be able to K._O._A.. Yeah Yeah I'm still yeah so like you would be a wizard or I mean even if you're a muggle who cares right but if you lived in that world that you're living in now yeah so then who cares so you either get the good stuff or you live the same life it now if you get to choose world year wizard in that world okay so that'd be the one that'd be the one I think would be the coolest. You won't have to wipe your ass. You can waive your want right and we'll do for you. Yeah that'd be cool <hes> you'd have like and you know like I think there are some sort of level in the Harry Potter world the wizard world of Harry Potter where they're kind of led lights and they rely on like the magic too much. I would want to see a world where way more advanced than that I can. I drive my Tesla and be a magic person right. <hes> you know why can't I be on my laptop googling shit or being stuff sorry being guess sponsor now being stuff and also like way maiwand and get a cup of tea right like I don't have to be like disconnected from the real world technology to right just because I'm a wizard so I think that would be the <hes> w cool thing you'd be like you know commute on a bus and have cool little Dope newspaper with moving pictures right. Theoretically you do anything in that world right any magic stuff yeah all sorts of magic so probably for me. I'm like really trying to think about it but I think it'd be really cool to live in like the magic the gathering setting like Ravn Ika like in within the guild so there's all these different cool guilds you can live in the whole premise of the magic gathering setting is kind of traveling between worlds us. He could travel basically to any world yeah exactly whatever they're called planes walker playing soccer yeah and so I'd like to be playing swagger in the world magic the gathering so 'cause that the just really cool 'cause I mean there's all these different scrapes where it's like four issed and island I and water and planes and I mean they're obviously like Swanson all the areas that you don't really want to be in like soap and fire like I maybe WanNa avoid those but like all the other areas area is just look so beautiful and seem like really cool and the people that you'd interact with are really cool. I mean obviously some of them are very hostile and like in the game but I think that that would be cool. You know I'm thinking another kind of COOL WON'T BE POK Mon World Really Cool Yeah because then you get pokemon right exactly which is why the live action peachy is pretty cool I yeah I thought it was really cool. Because then you actually do get to you really think about what kind of Poggi mine you would have and what kind of lifestyle you would live 'cause like I think it was inside the city you live with Pokemon but outside of the city get like they just kind of roam freely and you don't really interact with them so like which world would you wanna even live so some people are posting on a threat on red at here about the same topic fan fantasy world. I feel like a lot of the ones right you know yeah. You have magic you. Have you know the world is usually ending like some evil person trying to take over something right okay so like with this premise that we are not. We don't get to pick our path so we go with that premise right so we don't get to pick wizard. We don't get to pick if we're like super cool and file fantasy or whatever yeah or even pick one from Gilmore no more girls I would to oh my gosh. I live in stars in what you're GonNa do have a nice cool casual. I could walk every talk really fast. Everybody's like Super Chill <hes> yeah it's all local tourism and trying to increase everybody's living like a beard Connecticut lifestyle best idea you've ever had Seattle before anybody tries to say that place could exist it does not does not exist. He liked it on their way. A town that sleepy and small and awesome exists in America today anymore well in like in the remake too like they said I was just like overrun with tourism and stuff but not even as much as people think it would be like right now and it's like no it'd be like literally overrun like nobody would be able to get in all the bed and breakfast would be you Khalil overrun like tourists in every cafe only know regulars everybody would live out on a farm like miles away to get away from all the like people touring incoming in so yeah. That was a good question. I like that one that was good. What about this one? Is there any fandom. Your partner is obsessed with that. You just can't get behind yeah no no. I can't think of any any we all know this and I mean you bring breaking Dhabi. You're not really a part of the Phantom but you know that's what I'm saying like. I don't think there's any phantoms. I don't really love the punisher you contrary. I haven't been able to get. I like Voltron but I don't like it. As much as you like Voltron yeah and I can't like I haven't been able to stay right. Will you just have in lake watched trying to watch the IT cartoon series like a couple of times busy yeah and they just get busy and I'm just like okay. I'm just not GonNa Shot GonNa you. Don't love true crime. Yes that's true I do think it's stupid and our central over-sensational as is yeah Blah Blah. I I agree with that too because I think like right now. It has always been. I think that this is the problem with people that think that true crime is a new thing that women and just people in general are obsessed with sleep. No people have been obsessed with.

"John Dot com slash podcast wherever wherever podcasts platform and we're not there just let us know we'll get this if you're on a platform and you haven't reviewed us. Do they still have topic on my space. <hes> yeah sure as anybody still on my face if you're still on my face living it up and you're not a band. Let me know anything else. Let's see <hes> announced. Johnson's announcements announced plans nothing now okay. We're doing this hot and ready. This is our second episode of the weekend because Jesse sister is coming into town this weekend Yup. Yes it will be a busy so we're getting done ahead of time. Yeah exactly cancel on you guys again. Yeah we don't want to do that we were going to but then we cancelled the other week so bright for what reason to I was hungover okay yeah. I'm just looking at the all these well. Let's get started. Let's start our questions and answers Abbas. Are we think it's the goal to try and do it. In order yeah go first so now one of the best parts about being patron. Is You could to ask US questions in your questions are pri- or not so let's start with our first patron. <hes> Korea are good buddy. We'll have I hear much yep. He's one two T shirt. He's the best person in the world. We Love Korea so I question. Do you want to start off babe who really framed Roger Rabbit que question when's the last time you watch that movie. <hes> I think watched it. Maybe like a couple of years ago on T._N._T.. Or Solitaire like five years ago yeah yeah within like five years I would say yeah but so I would say that. I don't really recall what the <hes> but I think the bad guy was the one who framed him right or Jessica Rabbit framed him. No no no Jessica Rabbit was good. We like she's good to meet you. Frame is bad she chooses. This is drawn that way. She's not bad. She's just drawn that way is there's not a she frame him. You think maybe she dead and that's where they do. The whole Switcheroo and sexually Christopher Lloyd Wright the Bad Guy Yeah Yeah we all know at the end of who framed Roger Rabbit who actually framed Roger Rabbit then license a question this never seen the movie. I think I might be yeah. I think he's just a just asking us because he's never seen it and he wants a quick synopsis of the Film So let's start so there is a to exist in your life. Yes that's the premise yes and then there's a rabbit and he's been framed for murder and detective. He's basically basically a parody of bugs bunny. Yes in this World Yeah Jessica Rabbit. I Guess Betty Boop or something but very yes in the movie. I think maybe maybe she's healthy but like the idea is that you know Oh. He's a famous actor. Anna cartoon not like a voice actor but like the same one in the same tune world exists yeah yeah yeah where crime it's old old world detective style yeah Bob Hoskins he plays any so you know whatever go Moshe the movie actually nine now who framed Roger Rabbit for yourself and make your own opinions Yes yes all right. Let me into the expression go next question is what have been the most unexpected challenges of starting podcast so far <hes> our cat howling. Oh Oh yeah that was unexpected unexpected. He was very loud that one particular episode and then I guess just like having issues with like sounded audio. I knew is going to be challenging but I didn't think it'd be hard yeah. Yeah I mean like we have been learning as we go. We've been getting new equipment as we go. I mean like we soundproof some of the room for some ten right so hopefully that's been better as it goes on I think just like I don't think there's any good information out there on in what you're GonNa need to put together yeah. I think that that's it. It's like there's no like really good kind of beginners manuals on how to start a podcast like what you need to do so really we were just kind of like piecing it all together and we talked to a couple the people that kind of helped us through so I mean we were very lucky to have other people. I was unexpected unexpected yeah when I know and I will. I have one other unexpected. When anything is just how hard it is coming up with episode ideas like I think we're really good at kind of eventually coming up with one and being able to talk on it a lot but up until then I'm like okay? What are we going to talk about for like thirty minutes straight? What is interesting? What is relevant? I think relevancy is because I like because there are lots of stuff that I'll just talked about forever but it's like okay. That's not very interesting anymore. Even than you're already like you realize how often you kind of have the same conversation over and over again really yeah for sure but yeah we talked a lot about lots of interesting things but we talking about a lot of the same deal we really do. We just have the same few conversations over and over again yeah exactly so yeah. Do you have any specific ones but no I think the cat one was probably the best answer to that <hes> a lot of other stuff you could kinda guess have you sat down and you're like ham and start a pod cash. It might be like yeah. I need some good soundproofing in my studio. You might think regular room is kind of soundproof but it's not right so you can do some research on soundproofing so it's not so unexpected but you know yeah. We got like we've got foam up in the corners on the wall expect ticket so much bom yeah. There's a lot of foam also like we had to get this like huge thick blackout curtains for the door because doors <music> are themselves not really soundproof ours has glass in it but tenny tinny sound and stuff like that so we got something that could kind of like take that like the sound would kind of absorbed into I guess is the process. I'm not a sound proofing expert on top of that yeah. You know our podcast gets hot. I wish you had A._C.. You're yeah today is basically the hottest day that has been Jesse's. Not We're having a good time yeah. It's pretty rough. We're still struggling to kind of rapper heads around streaming we had to put brave and streaming stuff together so quick. We got that done but like my half after the studio just is trash trash but it's not just not put together yeah. It's just not put together the same way because like we have in. We haven't had time to figure out streaming enough so I think it's not podcast particular but like streaming on top of it is going to present some new challenges as well so it'll be interesting to see how that goes and what we learned there so yeah fresh uh good questions so far for sure any other challenges you can think of what's it all right next. One last one from Corey is what in your opinions is the best first level level spell all classes in races accepted. I'm guessing he means dungeons and dragons because that's what we what comes to mind for us and now because I was thinking of like Ak- yeah we can't trips to because I have my kanter bio is press digitization because like realistically like go. Hey only do you like magic. All the time. Whatever right I want to light a campfire prestigious digitization making noise little thing you know sensory fact yeah precipitations really good? Mine is message message just the best. Is that a Kendra. It's a Cantrell the other one that I was thinking <hes> his hand may also good cantaloupe. They're both really good can't trips. They both have I mean message is always gonNA come in Handy. If you have message that's why like I think I played in one of my one of the streaming campaigns that a dead for Scotus I played a knowledge dooming cleric and you've got to choose like one wizard Ken trip and a attitude or maybe it was because I was an alphabet to pick any kantor by wanted to. I picked what message <unk> clerics don't get message and message is very very important. I Love Message Yeah now. I'm looking at like the list okay so of level once bills Yep and I'm like well. There's a lot that are pretty good so I don't know which one I think is the best so far because like I noticed on here I have your cure wounds or whatever yeah cure wins Kinda like yeah yeah but like we're saying like really what's the best level and smells like well. Obviously obviously that's GonNa come in handy a what yeah mine I'll go ahead and tell you mind cause I have I have mine. My favorite first level. Spell is Bain because at a certain time you you can <hes> well I guess at any time you can enchant of two three creatures and they have to pass a charisma saving thorough which usually if they're like monsters they're charisma is real low and and then they have to take dynasty for to attack in saving throws until the spell ns so it's like super. I mean whenever you're in combat. It's very very useful is a concentrations N._F._l.. By I mean it lasts for a minute so that ten rounds like it just goes on for days and it just makes the combat so much easier on like the actual P._C.'s. There's just so much more fun and it's all on the D._M.. You cast it. You don't have to rely on your stupid teammates. You're stupid party members to remember all God Damn D- four yeah now say like okay so thinking about this more so like magic missile is good so it depends somehow you're gonNA play your character. What level wants fell? I think is good if you can get one that does like damage like magic missile or something like that. It's good especially if you're going to be like because you'll have the most level ones slots available leader in the game so you'll be able to cast spells and so you can cast things like magic missile or any damaging automatically hits you don't do as much damage but magic whistle always hit right so there's lots of damaging things thunder ways and stuff like that right a lot of one fails. I also think are this is your chance to get some of the ones that are more just sort of useful so when I I had it with a recent unseen servant which I used for a lot of a lot of really stupid yeah so they can basically do whatever you want. <hes> within like certainly we only lift so much and move so much whatever but can't attack or anything attack take damage they disappear but like yeah us. It's give Beck ribs and things like that right like or it could just you you know Yeah Cook for you or whatever anything you can do. I think is the premise it can do right so if you're proficient in like whatever they can do as well. I don't know the day that I think that was the idea but that might have just been like something you know yeah then. There's like ten years floating disc or the floating disc right. You know that was another one had doing all sorts of conjuration stuff so all sorts of conjuration. Things are really good. Yeah Yeah for that. You can like again. You'll have mostly slots especially if you're gains really heavy R._p._G.. Stuff like that or like situations that are less. I'm trying to fight a boss but like maybe you're kind of trying to sneak around because unseen servants invisible so hey guess what they could go the snag scroll off some dudes desk for you unseen things like that so they can do things that are pretty cool but now I'll say one. I think is really stupid stupid. Though probably the least used one I've ever used because I'd probably used to all these but purify food and drink I use I ever used it as a cleric and I have never once used you can use. He's likes to like a blessing or something like part of like one of your specialty things but yeah the actual spill purify food and drink it always is a cleric spell yeah yeah because I mean who's GonNa Remember to do with your problem is going to have they're prepared in a situation where same with like absorb elements. I've never want to use absorb elements. I probably should because I've seen I mean I'm never in like a like an area where rights even think to do absorb elements if I'm like a drew arranger I never really even think about it so I don't know and then when you're a ranger to like there's so many other lower level.

"In with like the release date of product scarlet is expected around the holiday twenty twenty year and a half from now also expected to be their release date of this game halo infinite boom boom boom which says a six game in the halo series so it's been like four or five years. I feel like Halo five came out. I think it's like five years maybe six years but halo five came out quite a while ago and it was not the most exciting of the Halo Franchise. I think she hated it yeah but Halos been with xbox since the original xbox yes right. They've been around the whole time. It's huge winner for Microsoft a full division on like Redmond's campus devoted to halo so right yeah I mean they make a lot of money off halo all the games or super great <hes> re releases and stuff like that and we are all fans of Halo but we've been waiting for the next game and by all accounts accounts halo six is going to be a game that we will enjoy more than halo five but yeah so it's coming out. We don't know much about it. <hes> there's a trailer all we do know that it like. I said the six game and it says continuing doing the story so master chief is going to be in it yeah. He's going to keep on going with this whole thing. which if you don't know the whole story I encourage you to play those games back their books yeah? They're movies and stuff. It's scrape but yeah it's going to be super cool and from what I saw to you is like there's a lot of like we're GONNA get tons of new armers right so the armor that like master chief where's the spartan armor which Spartans Illich super soldiers right <hes> and they added the concept of like kind of customizing armor and like doing some stuff but it didn't really do anything besides look different really. Maybe like small stuff right but I saw like we're going to have some like real like hulking armor that maybe like super super boost your strength. I don't know but we're going to get a lot of like armor customization. Maybe right that will actually do stuff or like we'll probably get a ton of new vehicles to and you know always new gun so yeah definitely super excited about it. Yeah a lot of people to like in one of the images like just Kinda speculating on what the game is about so <hes> and one of the images master chief has <hes> has like a chip on the back of his helmet and people are trying to figure out what artificial intelligence is that because it's not Cortana and so we'll yeah Cortana goes crazy yeah so people are wondering like okay so what is the new artificial intelligence. I like. I've said I haven't played very much of the I halo franchise. However I do know a lot of it is kinda set and like a dystopia Ian kind of city landscape kind of right? This one seems to be a little bit more in no so Halos. These are like ring worlds so they you know environments are like you know like this like planes desert animals running around and stuff whatever and so the original halo you are on a halo ring world right right in a lot of the other ones you are too and you get to go into you like the mechanics because it's an artificial world so you can go down into the mechanics of the system right and you're in alien technology area or whatever I think there's is also some time spent on Earth finding aliens so you get to be in that city which it's a future version of earth so yeah some sort of future. Yeah can't just hope you share David thing so yeah so you're like environment at throughout the Games like this is not the graphics look really great by the way but yeah. It looks like they're on another halo. Aware you know there. We're going to have a bunch of like environmental. Differences says yeah you know some mountain. Some planes beaches some stuff like that. We'll probably get all the alien stuff again to you but like it'd be great like Halo might jump us from world world right might get some more time on earth. I mean my decent stuff like fat but one thing I do know. It looks like they're they're. They're talking about really pushing for this woman is going to be the play anywhere thing where you can continue your game on Xbox and P._C.. Have the same save files in profile file gap bright. I wouldn't be surprised to you if there may be like hey Sony you WanNa really commit to this thing. Here's the code for Halo Infinite during this game into thing on your platform. Let's go right and you can play against those people multiplayer be huge in it and they're really gonNA push it so we'll see but yeah definitely super excited about it and we'll keep people posted on on how it goes but it's a year and a half from now and products garlicy was soon as we get more information on that we're GONNA be talking about it and I'm sure these hand-in-hand so but yeah so what else for Microsoft so when I saw that I thought was kind of interesting which I don't even know if it's going GonNa be a good game but the Blair witch game yeah and actually looks pretty cool. Yeah I mean I remember when that movie came out yeah same. You know we laugh yeah. It was a much talked about movie. Of course they did the revolutionary. Evolutionary style where like you know the victims in this thing like filming right as all shaky in the woods or whatever that was like new I think at the time and that's what made it popular point Ed is not new done not interesting but but it seems like they're gonNa they may not do something exactly the same but it does look like it's GonNa be highly atmospheric <hes> so the environment is always changing shifting thing and it's going to be some jump scares and things like that so a lot of things that you see from <hes> look there. There've been a couple of games. We've played like that where you're like kind of you know ghosts are around and you're just surviving when you're not really like fighting and killing ghosts and like being bad ass bridges like running around things are jumping out. You're trying to sneak past. <hes> you know whatever it may be right so I think this game will be a lot like that but like the graphics look pretty good from what we've seen so far is like a couple of stills so that'll be pretty nice. You know yeah and I think like it's been long enough. Let's see what Blair witch shit has to a has served forest but we do know like you're the protagonist and you're trying to save a little kid lost in the woods or something and that's pretty much it right like it's not the same story from the movies. It's not like the same group of people like a little kids lost. You're trying to find him right exactly so I thought that was interesting. <hes> for the Microsoft announcement on top of that okay so we mentioned before we wanted to get into like the Lego series of games never actually played them great coop games yeah and supposedly like yeah it'd be great coke games and everybody loves them and so now though Microsoft euro-zone and announced they're gonNA come up with the Lega Star Wars Skywalker Saga Yeah all nine movies yeah right all told in one game right so we don't have to go out and by all the different games or whatever it is like truly the complete movie saga so excited about that. We're definitely GONNA check it out because like I said we really wanted to try these logo games in this. That's really Kinda Nice area so so what I expect back like you know. It's going to have the same graphics the Lego Games. I don't think that's really changed much Lego. We it's going to have all the game play from you know all the movies so we'll get to play as all the different characters here's the Mall Gone Darth Vader Luke skywalker Kylo Ren Ray so it's really is Kinda. Transcending all of these starwars films super stoked about it so let's see how that <hes> goes but <hes> short of that anything else Microsoft for move on battle towards fouls has school. We saw the Gareth Five. That'll toads is more like 'cause you remember that meam. Everybody's like calling you call around in your like ask game stop if they have battle toads now. I've never seen that mean as like a thing yeah and I think that's why it's like cool that they're coming out of that like. I don't think battle Ted's legit like game. Anybody cares about I think just just you know people care about probably do care about it Manono a new flight simulator though let's see that's been a long time came up and like Microsoft flight simulator is like you know very well received community of flight simulators like it's supposed to be very top notch and stuff like that so and this is an old game at this point right right so but yeah I think they use it for like professional training and stuff right so this new one ashby pretty dope and I would not be super surprised if it had like some really cool like space x and things like that but okay so moving on though I think that's about it for Microsoft you know we got what what else got some coal to K- stuff yeah one being so they came out with a borderlands to deal sea <music> and that particular wine it is supposed to bridge the gap between what happens in borderlands to and what happens woman's three and it's completely free to play so if you have borderlands too you can play that D._l._c.. We haven't started playing at because this week has been super hectic but hopefully I'm gonNA start playing. It does upcoming week. When I have some extra time and give you guys full review on our blog ambuhl talk about it here? You're in the podcast because what is my favorite game of all time borderlands south and then we also got a new borderlands three trailer and people got to play borderlands <hes> three at e. three so <hes> actually looking at this thing right now I think is pretty cool like like verdicts early verdicts right for people who got to play and they're like inventory mansions kind of pain as a negative well. That was always I feel like paid L._A.. Okay yeah interesting. Yeah you have to pay iridium to get like more inventories and so kind of always just like people got that in depth able to kind of render that opinion and any game literally ever so I believe that entirely probably just like picking up guns for like fucking days and you gotta make it to vending machine delayed sell them or questions like that. You WANNA keep ETA borderline like the stats better but you know yeah so I could see that being a problem. Is it a problem. I'm so willing to have ABSO fucking lutely. Oh Yeah Yeah. I just like I said I think it's interesting. Pressing the people got to play it that much to make yeah yeah yeah now definitely look super good maintains again. The style style is important to maintain but it does look like they improve the graphics along with maintaining meaning the staff the cool thing is you're also getting all these different world environments which like in old game it was very much in the older games. There wasn't very much like tack high-tech until you get to that hey period in areas which are very late games wondering when you get to see like these really cool <hes> like cyberpunk s environments that you get to go through so I'm excited about that what it does look like it's a lot of the old and just updating it which that is what we want. I know a lot of people when it was originally coming out. People were complaining that is just the same game that we've been getting before and it's like yeah fans. I want that we just want that. Just keep giving us that please so that seems to be kind of what you're getting to see more game play of the actual playable characters from very pumped for for because I mean there's so many fun things that you get to play like you get to play like they really encourage you like playthrough multiple times basically which is my favorite part like you get like zero s character that has like a Hologram that they get to put out which <hes> I wasn't great at playing zero so I'm excited for this character. Maybe I'll be better playing it. You get a siren who's very focused on May which I think is really cool because in the last game it was either zero for Malay or it weighs the psycho later P._C.. That you get to play she forget what his name is but you had to the play him and I was a great with zero but I was a little bit better at playing that Creek Creek is his name you get to. I was better at playing creek so that was that's going to be exciting that you could to bring in with us or with a siren so I'm excited about that you get to play this Mac. Which of course is going to be bad ass like this character that uses Meccan Tech <hes> like before you get gauge gauge who is <hes> who uses a robot and throws it out and then it fights for you this when you're actually in a suit so that's that's totally different? Will you and I think like in borderlands. The pre sequel you got the play ads side kick guy too handsome Jack you know we'll him and you got some like so you got to upgrade him where he got like some like robot pieces and you got kind of like and then you're like super was to do something sort of similar to that and that was really so sort of like a combo the two as what it'll be it'll be interesting yeah yeah and this is more like straight up like she still like she's not obviously like making herself into you a robot by she gets to play in one so I'm wondering if there's also aspects of it where you just cut us that it on like an auto mode and like.

"That as much you know that might work for some people playing online on play play together like splits all on the same couch yeah on the same thing yeah so you know that was agree and then the game itself yeah. I don't have really a monster hunter right because it's like so Jesse's a pretty experienced Gamer. I'm an okay experience gets Gamer and that game was hard for us and so we both got real especially there's too much information like tutorial wise and then not enough information to realize exactly you're like what the Hell Am. I supposed to be doing as somebody who never played any of the other monster hunter game but like you know so. Maybe that's what we're missing is. We haven't grown up playing monster hunter but if that's how they're gonNA make a game they're not really opening it up for you know now it was absolutely beautiful and Eh. I really appreciated the character customization jam by now it was just it was really hard because I was overwhelmed and then I can just hear Jesse and the other rare just like cursing thing at the T._v.. Frustrated whether play games and that's part of the fun so don't embrace your frustrations but that was obviously like if I can't go to him because he doesn't know and he can't come to me at any point for uh and I think part of like how long did it take us to get into the same party took a long time. That did take right. That's like two days to figure out how to just get in the same party. We're doing all the stuff you do a normal games. We're in the same team. We joined the game aim together. Okay that didn't work. Let's or found the same server why it's not working yeah and so four ever there are a lot of other games that make it a lot easier for you to <hes> you know playing together and so we were kind of starting with those and if you really know how to play Monster Hunter World and that is a game that you really easy for you great then totally do it but by I think if you're looking for Co op game and you've never played it and you're bringing in somebody that maybe hasn't played a lot or both of you played a lot but neither view plate Muslim hunter. Maybe find a different one and yeah the point of that. Whole ran is does that? Sum Games are hard. Some Games are easy some games. You'll enjoy but definitely you want to know if you're getting somebody new into it or you WanNa know if you're trying to pick it up yourself find something a little softball science softball. Oh Fun again. We probably are blown borderland. Stick too much in this co-op but borderlands is my favorite is probably the best show up game. I think of all time adult like I think that this is one A. D.. I Games Games that you and I played together Co op and we just had the best time playing it together for his good the characters a good any place as easy as hard as you want it to be every element check. Check check right so funny yep good so that's why it's there but yeah there's some other ones as well and like so the and then that overcooked game because I want to talk a little bit more about how there's like some of those that game that we played that one time that was like lovers in a space base time or something yeah which is really good chairs. There's a lot of these like they're like indie games. Ranch arcade kind of style like there are so many that are called like so many and we've played so many there you just can't keep a list of but <hes> those games to like they're not like the thing about borderlands as it is long-term game right like you could play that for four hours a day every day for the next John's right the thing about those games. Is You know they're quick thirty minute games or whatever but yeah there's a ton of those available to so if you're looking for some games and stuff like that Kinda like just browsing the marketplace for and I'll also like one of the really good ones that just kind of popped into my mind really fast was don't starve together and that's a good win that kind of is you. Keep it fresh 'cause like I think that the longer you don't starve serve together the more funding experience I mean it's just fine and so that's a good one to you to find an play together. I believe it's only on so only on steam being that on <hes> xbox believe glow. We should get that one. They don't starve but I don't think you and I don't start but the game is so much fun. Yeah and it's beautifully done. I think it's so yeah. The style on those are all pretty interesting to see like somebody who appreciate like sometimes people are like into the game ain't play. Sometimes people are into the like art style and stuff like that to you or whatever you know. There's a lot of that going around right now on the scene as well so yes so. There's a lot of cool stuff there but they're on top of all the single player Games is that we're bringing back from our childhood or you know continuations of series or other new exciting games. They're still trying to games. We haven't played Oh sure that we wanNA play co op and I've got a little list here of these games at I found out are super coop apparently and I'm like well damn. Why have we not played this because we already own Mario rapids yeah we do this thing where we buy into this nintendo systems say switch but Nintendo systems general and we just don't play them right so we have switch it sits on our dresser collecting dust along with the six hundred dollars worth of games on it just sitting there us but yeah so we have Mario Rabbits is one of those games and apparently we can play that together so we should because it ranks really high up there apparently in a list of CO OP games out there so but it's essentially he like a Mario Meets Rabid which is another game series sort of thing and they come together and you know you Kinda platform through worlds or whatever and I think we could do? We could just do it together so we should give that a shot. <hes> one of the other ones I saw on here which is surprisingly I have never really played any of these games the LEGO Games yeah apparently there's a lot of co op in those games. Yeah I've had friends who in College College Day would just coop Lego like Lord of the Rings. I think just play for hours long. I didn't know they were like so co op yeah. They're very <hes> their brand. You know I'm super into that. I I WANNA know now. Is there a way by like all the little games and like one giant pack. I wonder like All Star Wars. Ones are all lord of the rings ones all the Harry Potter ones. I definitely want to play a Harry Potter ones right the one that like on the list I I was reading that I saw was like the marvel superheroes ones so that sounds fun as well right like I don't know I don't understand the LEGO games I like back in the day wanted to get into them and then I just always forget right now but like I don't know if I could build legos in play through Google stories sounds awesome awesome on top of that far cry five. I forgot came out. I know I've never played any the far cry games I play them. They're they're good. Farcry five was supposed to be like kind of different in America and yeah it had like a bunch of online stuff I guess so I guess that's where the Co op comes in. I'm not really sure but like we could probably pick that came back up and check it out and if it has some co op so awesome yeah. Let's do it on top of that this one that I had no idea this game existed but apparently early it does a way out. I just saw that when I was like different less is supposedly super good and it's like built for coop like. I don't know that you can even play single player. I think you need to have two people. Do people made it seem like you know whether it's escaping from jail. which apparently is something you do in that game? I don't know or anything else you do. It's always up to people prison break yeah so I don't know what that game is but I was like instantly like Oh. It's bill for two people yeah. We should check that out and see you know and we can figure out that game together and maybe it's on them. We both liked together so I share yeah and <hes> yeah anything you think that we need to pick up and play so there are some that were on here like Divinity Eddie original sin. There's like the first one the second one is supposed to be really fun. I think that we should definitely go and play some resident evil games. Some of them are more coop. Go Yeah even though they're not like there's some that won't be gaff yeah but those and like clue all the way up to like four or something yeah pretty sure I've played six yeah so play those the game that we were talking about before was a- lovers in a dangerous space time we have played that it's really fun we recommend not for people that are really interested in indie games and really WANNA play co op thousands of really good one. I think that we should go back and play more halo. Oh yeah because like we played through together the latest Halo and then the master chief we were going through like one but we never really did like what I would love to do is get like six people in like decent like you know big multiplayer Yeah Diablo as three yeah. I think it's coop one online join online different councils. I think that we could play it on our computers on computers yeah but again that's kind of the same thing because we on different consoles like yeah we could stare at each other here but I still want to get back into playing warcraft. I know you don't want to but maybe I'll play with my dad and that's another thing you can do so yeah but those are the last ones that I have yeah go back. I played all the games that we play well yeah so we still have like kind of a backlog of games too. I think like if we go back and look like you never finished the Tomb Raider Games now I made it halfway there. It's really good bye and those are those are good ones that I I really liked. The Batman series are yeah. There's a lot of those you know. There's probably a ton of like call of duty games and stuff like that that would be..

"The thing that like you know happens every three or four episodes or a little bit hack is in every episode for natural in this kind of theme is to dichotomy of good and evil these the two halves of a coin. That's the theme and everything yeah but that's specific and how do you put it. Yeah like that'll be your big theme right like it was exactly the big theme should been in like game of thrones but then they just ditched that theme to go for Nope. It's really the battle between the Lancasters in the target area. We don't actually have a theme so that should have been the theme but that theme and then on top of that you know you have interesting episodes. If you're doing weekly weekly we we have an overarching theme cooperative stuff. We have interesting episodes. Weekly would keep this gone forever. As long as we don't end. The cooperative feature of our life divorced very silver the once you end that the series is over the over arching theme is over. That's things were natural did they ended it and they're lying keep going and they went on and on and on for as far as I can tell ten more seasons yeah so we'll see we'll see what's up yeah what else okay so game of thrones yeah we'll. We'll do a big upset about it yeah so right. Now we have beg episode. I gave thrones. We have a big episode about Neil Gaiman. I'm in a big upset about supernatural taking notes and all these ideas they're probably already and they're so I will say we have a big long list of episodes. Actually we only have like three or four episodes in here passes one and so we need to get more to get back on that see. There's a lot of things when you're making a podcast guys. This is why our blog posts or suffering because we're barely staying above water and all the other stuff but anyways the other thing is the Terminator Trailer Dark Fay the news yeah. That's what it's called is coming out and we got sexy Old Lady Sarah Connor and dial me aroused. I don't know if that's a saying but it is now. Dial me aroused yes. She is like you know old now but she's back in the movie. Yeah Super Cool so is Arnold on the movie also dialed me aroused tailings very hot. One number movies like a million. I don't know something there's a lot of them and you know like they're the original from like the first several movies right is all about killing her to prevent her a child Blah Blah Blah starring so they're the originals <hes> and so clearly they're still around but it looks like there's another plot to kill somebody else. Who's also important right? It's like a sec local like all stories are ever repeating so that's the best that we really did this. Eric Connor thing was prolong the robot takeover for Lord tape right and now there's a whole new generation of robots taking over in the future and GonNa pass try and stop praying and so another thing too is the the newest generation of terminators are more humanoids so will looking up at two looking at like a list of some of the <hes> the different types of terminators and stuff like that right and so they have the like metal frame ones which is arnold right. I'll the tea I think he's like the t eight hundred something right so he's metal and he's got like the human outside skinny that's <hes> then there's not one thousand which was like the Liquid Guy Yup the Pomeranian right and then there is the one the t x which is the girl in the third one or fourth earth wind and she was kind of both right. I think that's what the new terminators are like. The bad guy we saw trailer. He left his excess Skelton driving the truck while he got out because he's two parts basically to robots and one one. He's the EXOSKELETON peas but instead of having like thick skin on like Arnold he's got the liquid metal on right then you can do both and then ruby whatever her name is it isn't it isn't no yeah. It's is totally different. I thought it was her pictures. She has sunglasses on it looks like her okay but yeah no okay well whoever that lady is the true the Good Guy Terminator and terminator quote unquote because it looks like more like she is like an Android <hes> or whichever version is a CYBORG. She's a Cyborg android is robots turned more human and cyborgs are humans turn more. I think he's basically I think she started as a human and and they turned her into a robot. Okay I think I think that's what we're GONNA find out. I think that's going to be a lot point point yeah but because it just because that's what like she said Oh I am human right and like either like she thinks she is and and she's not which has been a thing before like you know you thought they were but they weren't but I think she's going to turn out to be like she was human and they turned her into a robot Gotcha. So would you be a whole different thing so I I I would prefer to be liquid metal one. If I had the kid choose yeah because I feel like having the skeletal structure which is getting your way a lot of times. I feel like the problem problem with Arnold. Arnold's version is obviously you can tell if he gets hit by anything that he is not human while the other ones you just have to kill whoever saw you like being all liquidity. Oh Yeah and then like you know the problem with Arnold as soon as you could damage it. Little liquid one is like I'm assuming micro robots that you can't damage it really. He's a low user rights metals so anyways it would be a cool movie think I'll watch them. I think we thought up on them should go back and re washes because I probably ran movies from the seventies I am to think she is but she never seen lethal weapon until until I made her so that's just my damn. I've seen alien. Aliens also lethal weapon five before he saw leaving weapon one yeah. That's what they do in always yeah that's actually true. I watched a lot of movies from that time but a lot of them were like fantasy like a lot of labyrinth. If you watch the same movie over and over again you payment as watching a lot of these that is again I feel I'm feeling really attacked. Yeah you watch labyrinth that star wars scene four movies from that era. That's great I have not I've seen pretty woman. Let's true yeah. I've seen pretty woman. Yeah I made you watch pretty woman. I I saw a long time before you haven't seen willow. Though I have seen is really hard to sell every time I look at it. I'm like this other than Warwick Davis Davis. I recognize him but I could just recognize yeah. You don't recognize Val Kilmer in address. No I don't I hardly recognized Val kilmer fell. Kilmer recognized Baltimore is Batman. No I mean yeah I can. I definitely have seen those movies though I think I know I've seen all Batmans. What about how would you can't picture? What he looks like is my point? He's got a very generic Hollywood phase. Maybe Avenue. What about Tombstone Topgun? I like tombstone a lot. I've seen top gun. I've seen top gun a lot as well yeah but you don't know Val Kilmer Yeah Yeah see those are all the good movies back in the day the movies you need to catch up on a lot of those movies. I think you're not wrong. Do need to not those movies. I saw a ton of VAL kilmer in them. He did a lot yeah. He eat it a lot at certain the time period. Everybody's got their kind of time here. I'm trying to think of who it is now. I don't even know I don't know who it is now. That's like an everything almost more in a lot of stuff all right. Let's go to I WANNA go. I WanNa see international movie database. Oh the guy that's an the knew he was a or he's in the Elton John Biotech rocket man he was in Robin Hood. He's in the kingsman. He's one of those people I don't remember his name but yeah I think like when you know twenty years from now and people warlike back looking on it. They'll be like Oh yeah. He was all that great stuff right right. You know he's not quite at the peak of his famous. In the nineties was like a lot of stuff yeah I was thinking like to like Matt Damon and they weren't a lot of stuff yeah staff and then they kind of felt Brad Pitt lives in a ton of stuff yeah right Norton Yeah haven't seen him in a little bit so everybody kind of has their moment where they're in like tons of stuff yeah I think can we definitely have that so but arnold also had that he banking of which and it's getting us back to terminator. He's in in these movies. I don't know how much he's going to be in this movie but I hope it's lot what yeah he seems like. 'cause they like go to his home or whatever what I'm thinking is like it's just a minor plot point where he goes and bestows. Maybe a little bit of knowledge on them. Yeah I love to see him in there for more than just like a couple scenes. Yeah that'd be pretty cool because everybody loves arnold so even the people of California get to Chapel Yep Seltzer anyways <hes>. That's pretty much it for hotcakes unless you have anything anything now. Let's get onto our theme this week. which is we wanted to bring him back to gaming a little bit we have done a video game themed episode on Awhile which are brought up last week yeah and it's because we haven't played a lot of games lately? I feel Eli Apple. We're working on yeah picking that up yeah and this past week Jesse has been on like a little purchasing streak. 'CAUSE WE got a couple of new video games one of them being so caliber six. That's only one week this aw you've talked about the tour one but that's okay that was free gold for Microsoft xbox platform. Everybody should make sure that every month they download the free games yeah you have gold for sure but we were trying to think about it. Just think about kind of how we came together as a couple not specifically the games that we play but more of kind of like how in your current lifestyle with occurring games that you have. How do you get your significant other to play billions of u <hes>? How do you kind of make that a more cooperative experience? Yeah you and your lover Yeah Yeah Yeah so that's our theme this week. So I mean a lot of times. Jesse Jesse works from home. He tends to play a lot more video games than I do a lot of time killing sort of like little games that don't really we take a lot of attention which sometimes the best games I think for Co up stuff right <hes> rightly there is one that we never actually quite got around to playing it was like overcooked was the one time with them super cool. I was like man this be superfund play. You can spend fifteen minutes plantings and thirty minutes plant it an hour playing it again. We got busy..

"Keep this dice there. We're going to use it. It's it's it's I and that's fucking sucks but yeah. That's the thing rates if you like selling online roller. You don't hear that like I think you guys here and I got. I got so so many dyson here because it's not like just that like are Rolling d eight for damage exactly it's like and it's great when they're like okay. Roll your attack. Okay now. Roll your damage okay. What do I do? What do I do right this is you as a I put on player like what do I deal and they're like Okay D._A.? Roll it and then add your real multiplayer and they're all by lake shapes and stuff so it's even better yet. You're like Okay Roller D. One hundred that's how you know. You're getting some good stuff ankle stuff yeah yeah. It's a fun. I think that rolling with actual dice is a lot of fun but like say you're you're wanting to play out like purist dungeons and dragons like I think maybe not using D._v._d.. Beyond I mean we liked the <hes> beyond but like us your players Tamba Yeah. They don't pay us. We don't like you're GonNa want to have a player's handbook handbook handy. Would you so for the group to have one. You don't need not everybody needs one D.. M. is one hundred percent going to have one so likely I would ask to borrow theirs. They should probably have character. She's a Lotta Times. You work with your DMC like hey can you tell me with this and provide help. Provide this to me <hes> so I think making sure you have physical things is important for your experience so character sheets are important and so you're there in the experience but really you just have to bring I'd say dice net character she ah Pencil and a pencil in like a little notebook. Don't bring a Pan Yeah. Bring a pencil yeah and then also bring something to write in for notes for your campaign. Campaign notes a really important right because here's here's the situation during the campaign and like you went to such and such town like fucking six months ago. real-life campaign is only a week ago and so you should remember. Where was you talk talk to you and if you're like doing reconnaissance and like I'm trying to get information? You need to be able to remember that as a human being like a person like a real person somebody who lives in that world as like character yeah. You should remember who you talk to quote unquote yesterday or a an hour ago yeah those like even like your backstory history stuff like you should remember who your cousin is. That got kidnapped by Goblin. We're GONNA occurring campaign where like what city are. We in again and like like I I mean we had to pin map to the top of discord Jad. Just make sure everybody could go back traveling stack like okay well. We want to get here but wait. What does it look like again yeah so so yeah notes are important? That's a that's a good one to you again. If you're on a computer computer tablet or something where you can take notes Pan Character Shida three now these e._p._Z. Yeah something tangible for you to have. You're not gonNA remember all the stuff that your character does. I think just in general as a player coming in at level one in this scenario no what the fuck your character can deal there is nothing that pisses me off as a d m more than my players not at least trying to remember the abilities that they're go yeah and that's where it's like. <hes> like everything is kind of difficult but level one is not that hard as long as you put for the effort to have some on my idea. Maybe you don't know exactly how it works but if you're a Paladin no you have healing hands or touch yourself coach it. I don't I can't remember lay on hand sleigh on hands. If you're a monk no I don't know that comes in at level one but like new key points player Renault that you have domains and things like that. No you have a patron like no gear character at least a little bit and then as you go forward in the campaign campaign. Try to remember what you're doing because the D._M.. Shouldn't be the one looking stuff up for you. Constantly about your character put forth the effort help them out at least a little bit they already had to create an entire world and like the billions of their mind at the same time. They don't need to remember your player character Yep yeah so yeah be prepared but yeah. Let's get a little bit more into you said when you actually start the game what's going to like generally happen. Is there's going to be the scenario where so as D._M.. Putting together there's GonNa be the scenario where characters meet right. How do they meet yeah? How do they meet and you know there's like different ways? Set it up a lot of times. It's the tavern scenario tavern cavern. I Bet I think the taverns nearest probably nine times out of ten like you guys are sitting in a bar and you just which you know in real life ever struck of somebody in the bar and then like this is go kill some fuckers arrate. One hundred percent of people suckers yeah. I'm pretty sure that's how the Manson family got started. They were still in a bar and they were like maybe you want to go. Kill some fuckers. Anyways real-life real-life never happened for it but that's how it happens all the time your children tavern and some whatever he's like a board has like a poster on the market adventures like needed something drink guys altogether and and so be prepared to introduce yourself yeah no way your character looks like an have like a general personality kind of decide as generally what's going to happen. Is the Dan's going to be like okay like introduce yourself to the group. You guys see each other towns. Are you yeah and you can't just be like I'm a big black booder yeah. I'm like one of those like black bars fayssal slowly define itself as uh-huh yeah. You don't have to descriptive like here introduce your character just makeup character go <hes> you see before you a five seven Elvin woman <hes> pointy the ears green is long red hair. That's wavy. She has a staff that is made out of Oak has a crystal of the top that glows green and she's he's wearing leathers and she had caves made out of leaves guys. I just made AKA. That's key lift from critical role. I didn't realize it while I was a <music> needed an elven druid basically yeah so be prepared for a description like that where you're able to like say this is my person. You don't have to say I'm a Chu Yeah. It doesn't down because I think it's more fun to discover in your first combat right in a lot of people might get stuff in the descriptions anyways right like okay wearing a kate made a leads every person. I know where's that so. That's not drew would like yeah so they have an idea but I like to do things to were like like a person you might fit the description like one of my characters right. Now is like a barbarian that they're actually sorcerer right you know and so like you can fit different descriptions or whatever and Elvis Barbarian who's also very young female so like I mean your typical barbarian yeah exactly so I mean just come to the table with some sort of idea yeah yeah and if it's relevant you can share so for your like you can be as if you're introducing yourself to the team. Anyone say I'm a druid. I'm Virgo. You know we wanNA give like too much details on your past. My Dad was abusive so I killed my entire family. I don't know you can do whatever you want. That's like if you've ever met New People and they started telling you that Shit and you're like thanks. Thanks Bro ever share not doctor you anymore because does your little Weirdo over sharing. Let's let's experience that they're out there. s of our life can or you cannot share as much you won't be prepared for description and then usually after the introduction after your characters meet each other or act after they get set on the same wheels emotion you get into your adventure and we're not going to get into like how to live your venture but usually you guys have a destination in mind. I will say like one thing that's super important as a character though is like be prepared role play talk and ask questions and be informant informed and that is going to be I think the hardest part of every two game and being prepared a two role play right because this is going to go the D._M._Z.. Okay so what are you guys want to do and like if nobody says anything. That's it the end so some okay well. I'M GONNA go talk to the bar the bartender right or her. I'm going to go sit at this table or we should go into this cave or we should head towards that town because clearly that's where we're supposed to go or you know whatever rightly like like imagine you're in real life like you're with a group of people and so he's like hey what you wanna get for dinner. If everybody says I notice getting dinner out some options talk it over with your group talk over and character over in character Intergroup 'cause. I think that that's something that in groups that I've been in in the past we don't talk it over enough in character so you're not getting enough character to character experiences. You're just getting raven to Jesse kind of ex-pm which is there's there's a place in time for that as well and <hes> I wanna say it's outside of playing the game for the I wasn't sometimes there's necessary clarification and stuff like that that you might WanNa do between some characters some outside strategy yeah but I feel like it's more important to get that character to character character development because like I wanna say him one of the campaigns we're in right now. We hardly ever just sit down around a campfire implant things or talk about her. Just doesn't happen laugh because that's probably another good point is not always get your way in group to don't be upset about it. I felt like I'm being really attacked right now. I'm here to have a good time. If the rest of the team wants to do something else just go with the flow just that eventually like and said just like going in and wanting more combat you. I mean those role playing moments really do have their place in these games so yeah definitely wrote by but yeah so yeah. It'd be prepared to not let the just silence silence Phil Conversation Yeah have ideas. Come like thinking like okay playing video game like what would buy character do he would go talk to somebody to go. Get a quest. Go get a Klutz once you have the class. What are you go? Resupply start heading towards request also say that say you're not somebody that is very like you're not as comfortable in our Ping right now. Maybe don't choose to play a character that is very heavily arpey like a barred like bards talk lot and like people with High Charisma Blake. You're probably GonNa talk need to talk your way out of stuff or talk your way through moments so it just keeps that in mind when picking your player and your character it's like Travis Bellingham in critical role said I think one of the reasons why he picked Grog as his first character is because he didn't really play all that much before he didn't really know what he was doing so that's why he ended up playing think goliath barbarian with <unk> really low intelligence so that he wasn't forced to make those decisions and do those things so but not everybody can do it. There are definitely strategies to you playing. If you feel uncomfortable with talking like that so yeah for sure yeah okay what else did anything. I think that that's that's good for like yeah your first session again just be open minded and also come to it an open but yet you might not even really get very far in the first session to you like that's other thing about being open minded towards it as minded to other people solutions and things like that your team also be just like okay yeah. We didn't get any combat tonight. Okay whatever chill you how much better time about it if you're like me and I didn't get any combat this up so it's like episode this game this game. Let me say episodes okay and I want to say to like we were talking a lot about like this..

Renault Jesse kind Travis Bellingham Manson Dan Oak Elvis Grog Phil One hundred percent one hundred percent six months

"Com or something like that or or winning has built in however scored even has a little guy little guy. Yes however you're I mean. I think that you're taking fate out of your own hands into an algorithm and I don't like that as much that's just me and I like the way dice look. They're pretty yeah so I'll talk like when we talk about dice there are cheap dies yes assets and usually though like the cheap dice and the reason physical dies are not perfect because no machined item ever made by anybody has been one hundred percent perfect and you know we talk about okay so a d twenty. There's twenty options and so if you wrote word roll it I don't know thousand times you'd expect it to basically be like even results or a reasonable duration of whatever right this is now a statistics podcast. Yeah we talk statistics so usually what happens with some of the JEAPARDISE is they tend to lean towards some numbers show up a little more weight add a little bit right because Deisler dice are made by making like a shape and then they also carbon the numbers into it and all these little things the fuck up the weight every it's a mold and it's made out resin and humans make it usually so there's a standard things things and so yeah stay inside of it like glitter and that can also affect it to be able to check how waited housed role one hundred times or something and all you put it on water. See how it floats shoutout to Charissa who is such therapist at Verde organic body would not. I don't know if she has a handle this to plug or something like that. Hopefully she's listening. She said that you're supposed to roll your dice. Mike One Hundred or two hundred times or something right down the number right down the number and then like if any number stands out like way too much. It's obviously but then that makes a lot of times lucky. Could I said it's like okay. Well twenty showed up like eighty percent of the time. So you know good now that I will say. I don't think that there's a specific dice that I have. I have like I mean maybe like ten. De Twenties that I use rotation. There are none that feels specifically waited. There are some that are good on some nights. Some that are get another nights most expensive ones 'cause they're always cut so I was gonNA say so like we're talking physical before jump into you which physical dyson like the best. I'll just say the good thing on digital dice is they are like truly random like computer outlay the most truly random but I think our friend ended really random means that yeah you're going to role. Sometimes they literally role shit almost all the time like I don't think I ever see even twenty yeah but they're like ninety nine point nine nine nine thousand nine nine nine nine nine more okay with the outcome of a game if you control it with the dice is still feet but it still feels like you're up doing something about the sword in your hand when we recommend we definitely recommend buying dice but not everybody can spend a ton of money. which is the unfortunate thing because I will say the more you spend the better they will be in that my level up dice which we talked about before yeah Josh favorite days? I basically no other dice anymore. I mean I roll really well with that but I'll say I do also have level updates with the cage fines and so they end up getting cocked very often. They're very pretty. I think my next purchase my treat yourself. Purchase is going to be a some level of yeah dice but I do have other ones that are pretty good like chess dice and I think that they're great brand that generally get seven seven to nine dollars or less. If you go to like your local game store they probably have six days like some of them are good somewhere like basically the draw with them but yeah again there's books exactly and I do think some of the other ones I would kind of recommend command if you're looking for dice is like game science dice. Those specifically are like they test the they make sure that everything is pretty close to being random and they my favorite thing to find in some dice which you don't find in Essex dice very often are hard edges like very Chris veges versus rounded edges on your decides you get those on these aluminum dice by level La you get the game science. Jessica is a little bit more rounded you also get them with. I think it's lucky hand ice which are very those guys. I've talked about in another episode. I haven't gotten any but they're really beautiful and they are those like hard. Edges yeah actually posted pictures of our level updates on our blog posts by Jeffrey D._M.. Yeah so definitely go check that out and you'll see how extremely pretty these days are to like like all dies. They always use you something to make them cool looking but I think that's another thing I like about level. Love is that they just like Jesse's dice our nightly themed or his favorite D._C.. superheroes yes indeed to make sure you don't. I need dice <hes> again so Viele cuter and you have your like you know character sheet up on it and then you WanNa get like you know digital dice. You just want to feed late. One thing is we got ipad specifically four and we use them four and I tried to draw and I just I'm not gonNA we're better but it's very convenient like we were to go to somebody and go to game. Yeah we were to go. Somebody's place for a game we just pop that in our bag right so much easier than popular and stuff like that and you're just like okay a little dice roller and you can have your character sheet and you're ready to play basically a moans knows exactly but if you do decide to get physical dice I'll say one accessory. That's really nice to add to your physical dice dice so you know what I what I used to do back. In the day when I was a kid was play and we'd roll dice on the table top and everybody's losing dice airlines ended up on the ground. You know plus you. There might be cheeto dust. They don't eat cheetos celery instead celery strings. That's about all over the place in your like trying to roll and it gets booked up so dice trae is super handy. It's definitely not necessary and they actually make as far as like so. How do you care your dice around right that they make dice? What we have some cool we also posted yes? I'm not but they have like dice trays that collapsed like up and become a little carrying thing for your <hes> your dice and whatever else which you know we saw some really cool ones that emerald city comecon what they were they were super awesome yeah and you know they're like little poor bolt like so another thing is rolling your dice dice towers people talk about Super Nice. We don't have a dice tower not but yeah they're like like built in dice towers and dice trays all built into one and you can store your dyson. I and you can bring it in your backpack. Go and that's something that works for you and how you play again. If it's your first game you're still even trying to figure out what you like yeah. You don't mean this stuff. You don't need sites so many accessories. I think that dice are fun thing to just bring with you anyways. I mean they're so small that if you don't end up playing very often it's not gonna take up much room and you're not gonNA spend that much money. If you don't want to seven haven't set chest six days seven nine bucks or whatever on Amazon Yeah and you can get tomorrow and they're low look pretty cool and you know maybe have a good time because you're playing with your dice and like you might shit in real funny it's too. I think that's a big thing like what is the full dungeons and dragons experience. I think it's not too I liked on on dice like so like how does it actually go. You know like I ask you yeah. I ask you to roll something and like you know if you're not rolling physical dykes. You're not going to get that. You know what I mean where it's like. I need you to roll initiative. Yeah I know yeah who've got to chill because yeah you want me to actually you're part of our initiative to so you take it to you twenty and you roll. It get got fifteen. I don't know what three eighteen I don't oh character and playing and listen here's a twenty I've so much I gotTa Nat Twenty Twenty. Keep.

Ta Nat Twenty Twenty Charissa JEAPARDISE Deisler Mike One Jeffrey D._M Josh Jessica Viele Jesse Essex Chris veges Amazon La six days one hundred percent eighty percent nine dollars

"Who would he fight for he would fight for the people in his neighborhood and so what goes on and on neighborhood is the idea that black lightning kind of encompasses where it's not just a random like where luckily versus superman it's black lightning verses the factors that affect kids growing up in the ghetto you stop saying at length force detail get to know but it's kind of like where I am seeing like like in the marble cinematic universe like like Falcon like I feel like he's not specifically fighting for people in his neighborhood? It's almost like a warmonger. Is that what it is in Black Panther the bat or the backyard yeah like how he's trying to fight for his neighborhood in that kind of I mean they made it seem like Bagai. That's kind of like what black lightning is doing. He's fighting for his neighborhood but he's also trying to kill people at the same time. He's like okay. Yep Yeah I. It's it's a really good series of powers super cool black man waiting and so he has some sidekicks. I don't really want to give give it away but they're pretty bad ass thunders my favorite yeah. I like the villains in it too. I think that they're really interesting YEP. The villains actually I I have to say like Tobias Wales the main villain and he's like it's a man if any we watched luke cage series and you're like who is the villain in the cotton mouth yeah young love is basically like cotton out that didn't kill him off and keep them gallon ruin it. They kill he's bummer. It was like Oh man he was a cool hero nonstop with like this other lady and you're like I don't care he was awesome. Cool yeah and that's the thing too is blake. Black lightning is a really good kind of example of the DC version of Luke cage by more of like an actual established superhero where luke cage is Kinda like thrust into the role and he's just trying to protect his neighborhood br ahead yeah Lou Kate. They're very very similar though yeah it's all about like they they face different challenges an anti hero where as not even a key right here where yeah protecting protecting his neighborhood and facing the challenges that are like different than like Superman. He's GonNa Fight Lex Luther Right now what they're they're fighting yeah like. I think that I think it's safe to say in like black lightning. There's a lot of like gang activity and he's specifically. Weekly trying to combat like gang violence in the area which coming from Atlanta I mean like gang violence and come in from Atlanta to like he partners kind of or you know the parallel a lot. He doesn't really care they parallel with like the preacher that is now like everybody goes to church. Everybody's praying for the young people in the neighborhood hoping that they like make good choices and you know you see that parallel of lot in this as well and that's another good solid force in the neighborhood centers around like Jefferson Pierces Black lining. He's the principal at the high school and he like tries to do like there's a lot of other ways to help these kids and he's neighborhoods. You don't have to fly around shooting lightning and be the people up right focus a lot too yeah which is kind of the like a whole kind of basis of people really in the south and like if you grow up in those areas like those are the good forces of our neighborhoods sites like coming they said like what if like the everyday superheroes where real superheroes yeah exactly shoe lighting super whole principal your eminent. He's a philanthropist in the area but he's not rich so he stole. Oh like really volunteering in the neighborhood. It's different than Batman. WHO's a philanthropist but he's also super fucking rich like this guy is really good different problems yeah exactly and it's cool to see your neighbor being represented in that that way Yup? It's really really cool. It's really really good like I said Go. Check it out and definitely there's two seasons. I think there's GonNa be three for sure. They're all goods are C._W.. C._W. D._C.. Kinda does I would actually be very interested in seeing that sort of crossover stuff happened right because I mean the flashes still going yeah and then there's the DC. Here's of tomorrow's really yeah that one is like it's right for black lightning to kind of or you know not even black lightning like I said that he has some sidekicks on very enlightening as they are. It'd be super cool af like thunder just disappeared from lightning for like a season in like happened to be on heroes of tomorrow. She's my favorite. She's cool yeah like I don't respect teenagers. Superpowers and then are like teenager I it's like the Chili Adventures of siegfried I it's like which Oh but then also selling my soul estate girl the daughter.

principal Luke cage Tobias Wales Lex Luther siegfried Atlanta Jefferson DC Lou Kate
