"Chances any time soon. Once again this afternoon tire around 90 to 88 now More reporters covering the news that matters to you Weigh our news. Radio 10 80 k R L D more Now on the story. You have been hearing throughout the day the industrial fire that's still burning in Grand prairie. It has pumped Ah lotta black smoke into the sky. Over the last 13 hours or so. Let's talk about the health angle of this story. We talked with Dr Glenn Hardest, Steve from Texas Health plane. Oh, well, you know, the industrial fires like this, You need to know. What is in the plant. On DH. Usually, the Fire Department will have information regarding that there'll be some labeling and then some recording of those Of those chemicals and they also have groups called has Matt that are able TTO help with determining you know the issues associated with With those chemicals. And and the dangers that they pose. In this particular in this particular case, you don't always know what you know that you have. You also have other things that are that are burning. Such as You know, the plant itself. Other machinery, other things there that are being there being burned that air releasing Ah, releasing an irritant into the air. One of the big concerns that folks living near that plant need to know about. I mean, does this aggravate allergies? Asthma? Are there other more serious concerns that they need to look out for? And is it a good idea? For those living near this plant to just try to stay inside today. Well, I think any you I think anyone that is directly around the plant, or ah, down wind from the plant would be better served staying indoors today. The actual issue associated with it. Is more of the irritation that comes from the smoke inhalation, um, causing what we call a Newman eyes or just an inflammation of the lungs and certainly those with preexisting lung diseases. As you mentioned as Medina. One COPD being another or those with just that are prone to allergies just certainly could set those Set those in motion and be problematic form, so avoiding the avoiding the year attendance is the best thing that they can do with this time. And Dr Hardisty. When you look at the wider area, the winds are generally out of the Northeast, so South Grand Prairie Mansfield, mid Lothian, some of the areas down that way. Is there also a concern for a wider area, maybe to a lesser extent. We could see Ah, wider extent, but I think the winds are light, but they do seem to be carrying the plume. In the more of a Southwest direction. This I think will affect you know, Arlington South for Worth Mansfield. And then things along along that Southwest quarter is Dr Clyne Hardisty from Texas Health. Plato's 1 24. K R Rld. Let's get the update on your money. Federal Reserve policymakers noted the rebound in consumer.

"Cool that's those would be the plugs yes well so i have a show called i'm still right which is a podcast where two comedians come on and argue about a long standing tiff that they've had usually almost always very trivial and that's on the head come network and it's the second thursday of every month that's a fun one and then generally look out for what big breakfast is doing we have some exciting things coming down the pike and the next six months or so some deals that are closing watch adam ruins everything on tv that's one of our shows and and and look out for more hot date hopefully comes that's revisiting all of this we really appreciate it q for having me thank you for being here you know i know a lot of these things are tough to talk about in revisit so we really appreciate you coming on and sharing the whole thing with us for of course i can't wait to see those dreadlock picture all not corn rows i didn't ever have dreadlocks now reeling do you break into the accent when you don't intend to know but well i have done it like in pitch meetings recently because i do it so much as a joke that it's yeah i do like that one though and obama's very fun i did it so a brief plug before then i did so josh ruben we talked a little bit about earlier he and i did a an episode of i'm still right where we're each three different celebrities marg ewing about three different so it's like a celebrity pairing per topic he did he's an amazing impressionist he did aaron paul gear millville toro and who the hell was the third person that i'm forgetting now i can't remember but it was just like i did donald trump obama and denzel washington.

"Definitely would with just having this podcast and just being able to talk about it and trying to figure it out like what we're trying to like yeah but it's all dumb hot lashes i'm reminded that it and it's so annoying but having guests that have also had cancer related issues whether directly or indirectly or any sort of major illness so it's still like really just trying to figure out how they cope with it and just the whole progression guess maybe it's like a little bit like my favorite murder and how as a true crime enthusiast myself and always being told by like a boyfriend at the time like why the hell are you watching this feeling shame like oh is this weird is this like why am i so interested in serial killers but it's really like preparing dinky mood golden killer what's up yeah but who's just trying to dive into it so deeply hind of doing research it's kinda wanna stand it to prevent it from happening to you and to get more knowledge and information to kind of because you're so terrified by it because you don't know you don't under yeah that is it right and i think that there's such a stigma when you ask what do you think about when excuse me when when you hear the word cancer when cancer is brought up you kind of revert back to this stigma in society and it's like oh fog cheshire we're not gonna talk about honestly it's not i mean you know much better than i do but but the people who i've known kind of tangentially who suffered from cancer it's not always the worst case scenario at all right and it's often very beatable what it's like and if people would just learn about him more so than it's stage four and then i then i think that there might be more of an open.

"Certainly the air quality is like some of the worst even worse than la and it's where they live you know like eventually i think a year before he died my mom and dad said you've got like come to connecticut like he was my you know my dad got him he my dad was a doctor at yale at the time and he got him treated at yale and he was like your guys are coming to new haven all the time just live in connecticut like we'll help you find a place and yada yada yada but like this is going to be better for him and they did and not to say that the environments i mean he was very sick anyway but i think that that made him on a daytoday basis not sicker in terms of the disease necessarily but just he had a lot more hell yeah and when he got the connecticut i hope it did for the last six months or year closer does family too yeah absolutely but but the immune system certainly you know is broken down are the treatments for cystic fibrosis or what was he doing part from that like therapy of enzymes to substitute the enzymes that your body doesn't produce naturally there was a whole enzyme regimen and again like i you know being as old as i was i'm not sure really the specifics of the drugs he was taking but i know that there were like kind of points in the day where he would be delivered certain enzymes by his parents and then there was also towards the end of his life the last year and a half or two years he had a like a stent put in to his chest that was it was like a tube that was really ripe below the surface and so doctors could you know could could drink.
