"Be easy, but I think we could see that happen especially if they really scrapped the defensive end. And if you look at this game tonight, they they had, you know, they forced 22 turnovers out of the Clippers compact right themselves, which is great. They also won the Battle of the offensive boards. If you look at the particulars, they did with the name to do to win, except they missed the Clippers made off. And then in the Lakers missed a lot of shots. If you can bring down a little bit more even, right? And you play the same way against long as you're able to win the turnover battle, you're able to win the offensive boards battle. I think you've got a good shot of walking away with the w as good as Damian Lillard is. Yeah, no, I I'm not out here, so I'll say this, I did not feel good coming into the Clipper game. I feel better about tomorrow, of course. This all depends eighties Health, right? If if 80 players that I'm confident that they can maybe pull out a win, maybe put it out like sixty-forty of eighty places. Yeah. This is not playing that I'm like at 2280 or 8:20 that they'll lose. Hey, I don't think it's impossible. I think they could do it again depending on 80s Health, but I think the Trailblazers are not a team that be frightened about. I think this Clippers lost was expected, but I think the Blazers would give an especially what's at stake there. There's actual built-in Stakes, there's playoff implications for this particular game. I think the lady when they're awake when they're actually trying when there's full effort, like I mentioned earlier, there are good defensive team, no matter what offensive Lee is just kind of where the pendulum will swing whether or not they lose. If they can hit enough shots to places are not a world-beating defense by any stretch. So I think they can score a lot easier than they did tonight. I think they have a shot. And that's really all you can ask for at this point that they've got a shot and we'll see we'll see what happens when they go out there. And and you know we talked about this the plan tournament as long as you just get one game you win it and you and you move on. It wouldn't necessarily be the worst thing because it could lead to a matchup would say in the sons or the Jazz in the first round. Honestly, I would rather see the signs or the Jazz off the clippers. I would say in the first round. So it might not even be the worst thing again, assuming that you can get out of that play in tournament quickly and not have any kind of hiccups or anything like that. Yeah, I'm surprised. No one asked him. I'm sure someone asked, but we talked about a little bit on the large party is whether or not we would want the Lakers to make the play and tournament because it gives them an extra game to warm up and ramp up and also the positive of avoiding the Clippers, in the first round. Which you know, we don't want to say we're dumping the Clippers cuz we're scared of them, but I think the Lakers are the most vulnerable and the first round because they'll be getting their guys, back into a little still be trying to ramp up themselves. I think the Lakers are a team that if they get out of the first round to look better and better because they'll have been tested and have games under their belt together, where you know, they can get under them, they can get back to playing together, you know, I think that's the positive time to take. I think that's a positive take away. If they make the plan tournament is up, will be forced to play more cuz you know, God for like they just have not had a nice weather. So one or two extra games here and there might end up being helpful for them. But yeah, I I think that the plan tournament wouldn't be the end of the world for the Lakers. I think they've you with the dog. Way, so we'll see. I mean, tomorrow is probably likely going to decide that. Yeah, it does seem to be that it seems to be setting up as the game that will determine who's in the play in tournament. And who is not, somebody asked what happened to THD dealing with a cap strength. And so it's a great one Downstream. He is out for tomorrow's game as well as out tonight against against the Clippers. All right, guys, The game tomorrow, they gave the wrong against the Blazers will see which Lakers team shows up, can they get the job done and play their way out of the play in tournament, will be right here, doing the Lakers name that my post game show just like always to make sure you come join us for that one and make sure you're also subscribing to the Lakers Nation YouTube channel. There's a rough one. Thanks for hanging in there and a long night and and getting through a game that was frankly, not that fun. Not that far as quite the understatement for tonight. But yeah. At this point, I am just hoping the team can make it out of a game in one piece. I I don't have much other than that, I will try to get some sleep tonight rest up, because we are right back at it again, tomorrow till then everybody stays safe and sealed off..

"In the night. By the way, for those of you who've been asking, where is the end of, uh, am Chris Masters, why does he not here? He was with his during the the watch birth. So if you were if you joined us for the large party on hot like which if you didn't you definitely need to come join us next time we go in which I believe we're going to do one for Banner night. It's a ton of fun to make sure you come join us for that. Chris was with us off at 1 and it start getting pretty late. So so he is not here for the post game show type but he is going to be doing some coming up in the future. So don't worry. Chris will still be back. But man, who are you put in the bath tonight? After this game featured a lot of Master Lock, worthy candidates. Oh god. Well before I start shout out to the person in our wash party who said to Master Lock Steve Ballmer. I didn't want to take that I don't want to say credit for that but that is awfully. Good one, my man bomber is just a little too rowdy for a regular season game but hey man if that's what you're into but as far as the Master Lock go off was as much as I would like to just Master Lock the Lakers and the injury bug because I mean Jesus like forcing me to sit through that kind of game is Just rough. I will probably Master Lock. Can I just say Pat Bev? Cuz it's Pat Bev. Like is that is that is that boring? I mean, I think primarily is always Master, Lock Worthy. Yeah, I just feel like it's kind of a cop-out because no one on the Lakers is particularly good except maybe kuzma. I've got to go with koi prayers. Says Imran do in a Clippers jersey. That is indeed very. Very gross. Oh God, it's actually super annoying. How useful he looks for the Clippers already cuz we didn't get this Rondo until the second round. I mean, I know he missed the first round but we did not get this Rondo and so late in the playoffs. So it's a little unfair that he's perfect as well. I get, that's, can I can I call? I got it. I'm going to Master Lock, former Lakers Clippers Revenge games, okay Revenge, because you suck, let's play. Well, you saw of course, Rondo, play well and buggy, okay, that's true. Yeah, I hate that whoever plays for the Lakers or used to play for the Lakers and they play in the next season. They just decide to have a good game. So I'm going to Master Lock those players cuz why can't you guys do that when you're on the Lakers off there you go true very true. And then of course, Boogie cousins as well. I've gone ahead some nice place out there tonight, so I like that Master Lock in Revenge games, I'm sticking with Barber. I imagine locking bomber because I, I think you would sell the master like pretty well, he's already, you know, pretty beat like most of the time ninety 5% of the time, but I also think just his Antics in a game a blowout, right? It's not that close. It's a regular season game, and the Lakers are missing everybody and he's going nuts. Like they're winning an NBA championship at that moment. That I think his master lock worthy. I hope that's something to the Lakers. Remember this guy, like, just going berserk on the sidelines and and kind of trying to rub it in or whatever. And I know that's just a people say, oh, it's just bomber and bomber or balls as Jeanie Buss, might say you'd like to call them, but I just think that is very Master Lock worthy and hopefully against the Lakers a little bit of white board material for a long time. They take on the Clippers. So Steve Ballmer getting put in the Master Lock and he can certainly afford it. Someone someone else should clip that of him cheering super loud. In case of Clippers get bounced into playoffs early cuz then we can just reuse that over and over and over again. That would that would definitely be fun. That would definitely be fine. I think that is something that we could go back to all. Right guys, let's let's do a quick check in on the standings and where the Lakers are currently sitting home. Yeah, it's not, it's not great. So the Mavericks tonight, they beat the Brooklyn Nets because of course they'd be hard when I saw people on Twitter that were claiming the next through the game in order to try to make put the Lakers in a worse spot. I don't know if they would go that far but I guess you can't put a pasta but I don't know the Lakers now. Find themselves, one game back of the Dallas Mavericks. The magnet manager sitting in the 5 seed. Right now, the Lakers are sitting in a 16, which would put them into a first-round match up with the clippers, but the Clippers have just a half-game lead off. In the Denver Nuggets for the 4 seed, but the Lakers are now tied with the Portland Trailblazers. And if the Lakers lose tomorrow night to the Blazers, the Blazers would have the, the edge in the season series. So they would own the tiebreaker. So if they lose to the Blazers and then they catch back up and they finished tied, the Blazers was still get the 16th. So tomorrow night's game will go. A long way towards deciding who is in the play in tournament and who is not. So again, right now Lakers Blazers tied at 6 and 7 both teams thirty seven and twenty nine on the season wage Yep, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually care about a regular season game and I've been telling myself all season that I would not care. Super, super about I wouldn't care a lot about a regular-season game yet. Here I am hoping the Lakers win tomorrow because I don't want them to play an extra game. That's but I am I feel a little girl saying it, but here we are. I've got somebody asking, is there any danger of the Lakers falling to 8? I would say no because there's a Lakers still have a 3 and 1/2 game lead over the 18 and the planes sitting 3 and 1/2 hour. I'm sorry, the Warriors are sitting 3 and 1/2 games back at this point in the season with only one five games left right now. You're not, that's not going to. Yeah, that's not going to happen. Yeah I can't imagine it. The lawyers would have to win out in the Lakers would have to lose out basically for that scenario to happen. So yeah I don't really foresee that happening. I think the Lakers are either going to end up six or seven. Wow. So over the last 10, this is how the Lakers are put themselves in this position. Over the last 10, the Lakers are 3 and 7 over there. On our end, the Mavericks are even to that sounds about, right. Yeah, the Mavericks are playing really good basketball. Those two wins against the Lakers hurt obviously, so I can't really complain about that now. Yeah, yeah, so it's looking like and again, we'll see how things go tomorrow, but no tears to you again tomorrow know, Dennis sugar, no LeBron Anthony Davis, Maybe. That's going to be tough against a Blazers team that's going to be motivated to not be in the plane tournament. By another Lakers will be as well. Tomorrow night is going to be a battle. We'll see if the Lakers can figure out a way to scrap and Claw and get thing done on the night. Just looking at some stats. Kyle kuzma, was one of the only only two Lakers in double-figure scoring twenty five points, five boards for says, two steals, one block. I think he probably would have been the next-man-up had there been 1, 3 3 9 4, 19 shooting for four from line. So actually pretty decent performance from kuzma. Montrezl Harrell 6.4 assists, with 14 points for four nine shooting. Other than that, nobody else has landed got going in this one, the Wasteland? Yeah yeah thirty-eight. Yeah. And the field 28% from 3 tonight. 62% from the line they just flat-out did not shoot the ball. Well at all. Can you say that about almost every game though? Unfortunately, unfortunately, yes. But with that's particularly bad, you know, they shot against the night of the other night they shot, 43% from Deep tonight. 28%, that is a big, big difference. And so, that.

"Your own for everything Lakers, unfortunately, the Lakers. Well, I can't just say they come up short against the clicker and it came up way short with the clippers, but maybe not a surprise given the current state of the Lakers coming into this game. Missing, not your number one ball-handler, not your number one and number two ball. Handlers put your first second and third thousand dollars in LeBron James. Dennis Schroder and Talen horton-tucker. The Lakers didn't have a player out there aside from Alex Caruso who was used to bringing the ball up the floor. So that was certainly a challenge tonight against the Clippers and the club. Also decided tonight was a night when they were simply not going to miss particular from behind the three-point line. So there's ended up being a rough night for the Lakers certainly but we've got a ton to talk about. Still big match will come back tonight against the Portland Trailblazers. That's going to go a long way towards determining whether or not the Lakers are in the play in tournament. If they dropped the seven C, plus we've got a new injury going on for Anthony Davis. I can text To leave tonight's game towards the end of the second quarter. So yeah, no LeBron. Anthony Davis gets hurt. You don't have dentists sugar. It was a disastrous type for the Lakers, but we are here for you. We we know which First Learning we're here from you. We will here for you. We will get through this together. Don't forget to subscribe to the Lakers Nation YouTube channel. By the way, joining me Thursday night together in Missouri, map for adults are from lakersnation.com. Matt, how you doing, man? What a tricky question, how am I doing? You know, honestly, I'm okay, given everything we just laid out. I think we were both expecting a loss, just not in this fashion. Obviously, we kind of hope the Lakers would be more competitive, that was not the case. And then, you know, another Anthony Davis injury to sigh about and, and worry about, for the next 24 hours. But always good, right? So, how am I doing? I am doing just about as well as a Laker fan could be doing. Yes. I mean, local, it's it's not a good knife at all. It's just a good night for Lakers fans. It's not a good night for the Lakers organization. Obviously, if we lose a game this badly to, to the Clippers of all teams, right? But like you said, we went into this game, assuming that it was either going to be a loss. When you found out the Talen Horton, Tucker was going to be on Tuesday, will also be out tomorrow night. That was James T being out by himself. Okay. Like you can withstand that but when it's teenage G shorter and LeBron James, that those are the three primary guys to initiate the offense, all three of those guys going out. Put stickers in a really, really difficult spot. Where if you saw Montrezl, Harrell was bringing the ball up the floor. Kyle kuzma was bringing the ball, like, you didn't have that skill, set out there, and we're going to see more of the same tomorrow night against the Blazers. So it's certainly a tough time. The Lakers we were hoping, hoping hoping that at least maybe in the final week and a half two weeks. Every would everybody would be healthy, they can get everybody together. Build up some chemistry, and that is just not the hand. They've been dealt and it leads to a rough viewing experience. That's for sure man. Yeah, we were joking before we got online that this this post game show was really just going to be a therapy session for all Lakers Nation, just because there really wasn't a lot to break down from this game. I mean, if you want to talk about, you know, the Lakers giving up, literally every 3-pointer in existence in the first quarter. Sure. We can talk about some Miss rotations. We can talk about, you know, how the bench guys look sure. But home at the end of the day, like I think the Lakers saw Anthony Davis go down. It was very clear that they were going to play him after. He didn't make an appearance in the second quarter, the rest of the way. So I think the team at that point had folded it. In fact there's there's just not a lot of things to take away from this game. It's really hard to gauge Lakers when they're missing essentially, half the roster at this point. So you kind of just gotta take the lump and hope for a better day and that better day I come tomorrow. I mean, hopefully it comes tomorrow but I got nothing pepper. I got nothing. I mean this team right now, right? I mean, I'm, I'm seeing a lot of people Releasing people saying it's over, give up. Oh yeah, I mean, look, this is terrible. It's not fun. It's not fun now, but the the hope is that at some point, they'll be healthy. If they're healthy, come playoff time, they could still get this done. Now, is it as likely as if they were just rolling right now and everybody was healthy and firing on the cylinders. No, no, of course not of course not but you're not in the point where you just say oh they took her hands up and it's done. Give up. No, this was not good. This is bad that the Lakers are having so many injury issues, but if they get everyone healthy, they can still take some noise, right? So now it's not time to give up what we're right around the corner from the playoffs, right? I know stuff like this is not encouraging, but we expected a loss tonight because of the particulars because you're playing a game without any of your initiators, you're playing a game without anybody, who can handle the basketball, you're playing a game where you're missing one star, and the other dog. Goes down in the first quarter, right? I don't think we even saw him playing the second quarter. Did we Matt? No, no, they've finished didn't finish didn't come in. The second quarter was out after the first. Yep, I would think that just about any team in the NBA, if they were hit with as many different injuries and Covetous shoes as what the Lakers have right now, they would have gotten blown out to this was just like, oh, the Lakers are terrible thing again, we will, we're holding out hope for is that they can get healthy by playoff time, if they can, well, things can happen. Yeah, I got the frustration from all the Lakers fans out there cuz I feel like after every loss we've just been saying, if the Lakers get healthy then they will be fine. But the thing about that is the Lakers had not been healthy. We saw a glimmer of hope when LeBron came back had a not I want to call it a setback but you know he's nursing that that sprained. Right. Ankle. And now we're seeing a d spraying the same angle that he had. The crack cap injury on. So there's some cause for concern there also, he was officially ruled out with a back spasm which was kind of weird. We set it on the live show. It was a little odd that that's what they called it but you know we don't have much info on 80s injury right now but we're we're hopeful that he'll suit up tomorrow but I wouldn't be surprised that they held them out. Yeah, it's rough. It's it's, it's it's not packaging at all. We have no real hard evidence that the Lakers can win a title. We've seen it in spurts, you know, or we've had stretches in the middle of games where you know, the Lakers looked like themselves and then they they come out tonight and Thursday. What complete clunker and it just kind of all that Goodwill and all that, you know, benefit of the doubt kind of goes out the window, right? And now we're just back to square one. So again it it's hard to take the Long View on a regular season games have been such a slog. I think, in the past month, if it's just been difficult to watch Lakers basketball, given how they've looked but If you need to hang your hat on anything again, they were just tht. Schruder LeBron, all out, no initiators. Nothing to run your offense, know when to organize them. That's, that's huge. Seeing Anthony Davis took down the first quarter can be really, you know, it can be shocking to a team and it's hard to overcome that mid-game. So now you're now you're down, both your stars and then you're playing a good team in their Clippers. So it's not it's not unexpected that this was the result. And so you got just take your lumps and hope they come out better against Portland tomorrow. Absolutely. That's what it all comes down to. And right now, I would say most likely the Lakers are in the plane tournament. I think that's the most likely outcome here, but, you know, it again. That doesn't mean, it's the end of the road right off of Brian Watson. From YouTube said, do you buy the whole back spasm thing for a d or are they covering up something bigger? I want to get into that but there's also a comment here saying did Trevor Lane tweets. The wrong kind of just flew past me. Tweet something about you know a little girl a gift, a little girl falling flat on her face in response to how the Lakers are playing and thought on TNT that was a response to one of my tweets. I tweeted something out there, explaining how well the Clippers were shooting giving their three-point statistics and then somebody responding with that explaining that that the representation of the Lakers.

How the Rockies Became the Hottest Mess in Baseball

"The rockies are playing like a team that just lost its best player as we record this. They have the worst record in baseball as bad as their record. Or is that number even a little bit deceptive the rockies are losing an very old timey kind of way. they're the old fashioned kind of bad team. They are like the new jersey devils of the nineteen eighties or the la clippers of the nineties. Or there like the cleveland browns of this century. They are not trying to lose. They're losing despite themselves. It's not the sort of cynical cost cutting that leads to teams losing now. They're the old kind of bad teams where they sort of bad building the baseball team and and it's starting to catch up to them in a way. I find this to be almost comforting. That it's still possible to have so many things. Just go wrong that you end up being the worst team in baseball so pure pure. That's good we're for is very pure. It's it's very clear that these owners has no one's learning lessons here. They are just sort of plowing ahead. Will rockies ever win with these people in charge. It's a really good question. Let me argue for them. I okay this is a team that made the playoffs twice in a row despite some serious disadvantages the rockies. Play at the least predictable ballpark. In all of baseball coors field is very difficult to tame is tougher pitchers but they seemed to have solved that problem. They developed a pitching rotation. That was the best in their history and they pitched their way to back to back playoff appearances on the flip side however they turned a playoff team in to one of the worst teams baseball in less than a year. They have made soling mistakes even within the last five years. It's very difficult to see them. Being the people who eventually turned this team around

What's Changed for Paul George and the Surging Clippers

"So law before you anything else. I feel like we have to talk about. Paul george's absolutely vicious poster dunk pistons stewart on sunday. My goodness is per. It's not personal brothers. All business tv announcers clearly lost it on that play. What was your reaction. My reaction was just our shot. This guy has had a foot issue for most of the last two months. And actually my very first moment with paul. George postgame availability. My first week on the beat. I tried a needle paul for not duncan because it had taken him until the fourth week of the season to dunk and i was like you know reggie jackson his own team. He had a dunk that night. In sacramento. i was like lose. Got a dump. Reggie jackson got a dump when you get your as bad. Now the game was so lopsided that star get my post-game arrangements together and i had missed that he dunked while the team was up more than thirty in the fourth quarter that was his first on the season. So like i had a dog and we add seen it done tonight. Washed gay the games. You gotta watch like wow. This is not the impression that i wanted to make. And then paul went and did devastating dunks for it seemed like every game for the rest of the month now when he came back. He hasn't been dunking very much. He's managing this issue. It's basically swelling. The bone in one of his toes doesn't sound pleasant right and the craziest is. This was the only basket that he made in that fourth. Quarter against the pistons but it was so memorable and i just was like you know what when in doubt dunk so was great moment. Great to see.

Drummond a Better Addition to Lakers Than Rondo to Clippers

"We'll really both teams. Latest editions have paid off saturday. Andre drummond helped lead the lakers in an upset win over the nets. Thanks to his twenty points and eleven rebounds while yesterday rajon rondo dropped five ten points in the fourth quarter. Help the clippers close out the pistons in a comeback win so shannon waiting to think long and hard about this who is the better acquisition from in oregon out here. I think both gas were what the doctor ordered I think would rondo. Does he is allow. He allows paul george and kawhi not to worry about the ball handling situation especially late in the ball game so now they can do what they really good. At that score the basketball rondo will always get them into the right set. He will always do the right thing. Andre drummond is. This is just what the doctor ordered scale because he gives them. Something that the lakers didn't have the size and strength on the block. A guy that could score down there a guy that could rebound down there and a guy that can defend down there so for me. I'm going to say audrey draw. But although i believe rondo a great acquisition andre drummond is going to be the difference between the lakers winning and losing the title. Because i believe skips if you remember last year would they could do. Is that javagal. Into why they all they own for the most time they own the rebounding advantage. I believe this is going to be another situation that they're gonna get a lot of second chance opportunities because the look the other night i think andre drummond had offense rebounds that gives you another opportunity to possibly get. Am one adult or is going to be kicked out to a wide. Open three point shooter so for me. I'm gonna take andre drummond. 'cause i love and plus he three in august this year

Los Angeles Lakers Defeat Toronto Raptors

"Is the Lakers Nation live postgame show in your Lakers just picked up a much-needed win against the Toronto Raptors dominant performance. The three pointers finally start to fall in love to see that the game got a little bit Scrappy we're going to talk about what happened there dentist router what's going on some, you know a little bit of a confrontation with Coach Frank Vogel all kinds of stuff to dive into tonight joining me is Matt Peralta from lakersnation.com Matt, so nice to be able to come out here and talk about a win especially given the the current situation. The Lakers are in in the Stanley Cup. Yeah, I'm happy we need wins right now. We we need to take them. However, we get them Toronto was one of the games I scheduled that was scheduled. I was like, oh the Lakers should probably win this one especially since they're so short-handed that came out and did just that so, you know, I feel pretty good that we're treading water and that's all you know. I said going into this game that just like the game against the Sacramento Kings because this was a winnable game that inherently makes it a must begin because frankly the Lakers are going to have games where they just don't have the Firepower to keep up with some of these other teams. For example, we saw that against the Clippers the other day but tonight being a winnable game. They had to come out approach it as a must-win and I feel like they did the energy on both ends of the floor the execution and was on a different level and that was so great to see to see them step up coming off that loss to the Clippers. I was really pleased with what we saw will get into all the different players because there were so many guys tonight. Like I'm already having trouble. Yeah figuring out who the next man up award is going to go to and not because like on Sunday, we're there just wage. Many options tonight there were two there's too many options. There's so many guys we could give this to Yeah, you you heard the the players talk after the blowout loss of the Clippers that they needed emphasized ball movement and mad movement. I think you saw a lot of that in the first half especially the first quarter where they just decided to blow the doors off the Raptors by shooting. Well from Beyond The Arc it was really impressive to see if

"Show today. I am visiting family for Easter. Unfortunately don't have the bandwidth to send out video song unlucky you you guys don't get to see me, but at least you get to hear me send out the the audio feed at least I am taking your questions and comments do from YouTube from Facebook from Periscope so welcome in everybody and let's talk a little Lakers basketball. Unfortunately the Lakers. Well, they get blown out to the Clippers and that's well. Look, we we expect that this to happen. We expected this to be a rough game for the Lakers bought still offensively would have liked to have seen a lot more out of them today that's been a consistent theme without LeBron James the offense has continued to struggle and so we definitely like to see that get picked up just a bit but still giving away lakersnation.com license plate frames today. So maybe maybe we can brighten somebody's day brighten. Somebody's Easter a little bit by giving away a lakersnation.com license plate frame, so You hear me? Call your name at any point during the show today. All you got to do is shoot me a DM on Twitter at Trevor underscore Lane and I will send you a Lakers nation, license plate frame. So, let's dive into it here. The Lakers do wind up dropping this game. 104 286 not pretty the Clippers were pretty much in demand from the the opening jump. They they were in control. They had the game bending to their whim the entire way. In fact, they started out I believe the score was tended to at one point. The Lakers just could not score and the Clipper scored. I believe their first 5,000 baskets on the night the Clippers shot 48% or on the afternoon. I should say in Forty-Eight percent from the field fifty percent from three eighty-nine percent from the free throw line on nine attempts for a Hummer for points. Whereas the Lakers not quite so good. The Lakers only had 38 points at halftime finished with 86. So I guess there's that and that's birth. 31.4 quarter but by that point the Clippers are kind of packed it in forty percent from the field for the Lakers 30% from 3. That's not good enough to get it done and then 75% from the free throw line 15 to 20 shooting page eighteen from the line eighteen turnovers for the Lakers seven offensive rebounds..

"Those guys the Lakers didn't the Lakers played even though you can argue. Okay. Well the Lakers, you know, they they beat the Clippers starters. They weren't beating the Clippers starters for most of the game for most of the first half when the starters were on the floor the Lakers the Clipper started to pull away which should be expected off. The clippers went pretty deep into their bench. So I will give them that right but still the Clippers played their starters. They got them submitted now, they didn't play a ton. They didn't play a lot of minutes. I want to say that that choir what twelve minutes now Beverly played twelve minutes Paul George played fourteen Kawaii played fourteen, but to whom played 13th, June did not look great, by the way. maybe Charlotte Batum really is just who he is now, but the Clippers played Their Stars the Lakers did not like you're still walked away with the wind again. It's preseason. So I don't I don't look at this as evidence that all of the Clippers are just terrible. They're not even going to be a threat this season. No Kawhi Leonard was not going to 100% He was probably going 60 months same thing with Paul George. These guys were not going all out because it's preseason because they're veterans. That's what you do. That's what veterans do in preseason games. So this isn't time for like a victory lab off the Clippers or anything. This is preseason is more a glorified scrimmage. It's more about kind of seeing what you've got in a lot of different guys, but I did think it was interesting that even though they knew because it was bounced very early, even though the Clippers knew the Lakers would not be playing their main guys the Clippers still elected to play there's almost like they kind of wanted to get things off to a good start maybe build up a big leagues. I'm guessing entire lose mine. He probably thought okay, we'll go into halftime with the big league cuz I'll play our starters and then I'll put in the bench and hopefully we can hang on and we can start the season with the Wind. Instead they start the season with the loss and nobody's going to really count preseason wins and losses, right? That's not something that matters, but I'm sure to some degree. I thought it would have been nice for the Clippers confidence had they after blowing a 3-1 series lead against the Denver Nuggets. I can't I can't say that without smiling after that happened to start off the season with a win over the Lakers even in preseason. I think would have been a boost to the Clippers confidence, but they did not get that. All right. Where was Marcus Morris he had a sore knee? That's what the Clippers said. They said he had a sore name..

The bubble got the best of me. . <hes> I was just in a dark place. . A really wasn't here. . I checked out and SAM. . You've gotten a taste of what it's like to be an isolation down there. . We've just talked about that. . Do you feel like Paul George and the clippers were maybe hit harder by the challenges of playing in this Environment Paul for sure I mean I applaud him for his willingness to speak openly about it, , and then only he knows where his head was at in the later part of the series but I'll never forget I mean right corner. . He shoots that three and it clicks off the backboard George. . Why office to side of the backboard left corner he barely draws rim on three George Corner three way off short. . Gets the rebound Paul George. . Now, , just to for ten from downtown they were more shook I don't know how to explain it than any NBA team I've ever seen in a crucial moment. . I've never seen anything like that. . So I don't know how Paul's State of mind came into play but I do think the clippers had a really hard time getting through all that stuff. . So Sam what comes next for the clippers, , they have a lot of strong personalities and obviously some divisions between them can they hold it together and be titled Favorites Again Next Year you know to be determined. . There's already a little bit of a growing sense or at least questions around the League of are they is there any chance they would think about blowing this out because you got to remember to why Paul signed deals they're up next summer they can get out and and when they came to the clippers. . People felt like it was unofficially you know a lifetime contract because those guys have the personal connection to the area but I think we're quickly getting reminded that if the basketball situation is not right and if their work life is negative, , then you absolutely can't rule out the possibility of them changing their minds. . Year and maybe sounding somewhere else you know the NBA rules are when you have a superstar a year away from free agency YOU'RE GONNA probably have to take those phone calls from other teams if you're not getting assurances and promises from those players that they're not going anywhere. . So they've got a lot of questions to have answered and it's going to be painful for them to watch this Lakers nuggets series knowing how close they came. .

I went to to other practices where I would listen closely to what doc had to say, and one thing that struck me was he would very candidly talk about how they were still learning each other as a team in the middle of the playoffs I look at the whole picture and I realize we haven't been together we haven't had a lot of time together. So I get it. You had the old guard, the Lou, Williams Pat Beverley mantras hair let group that did some pretty special things and the playoffs last year and was gritty and would play forty eight minutes a night if you wanted them to. Now, they tried to integrate with Choline Paul who came with the very different script and a very different style and combining the old and the new had its fits and starts, and certainly in the end, it seems like a lot of those things out. Cherishing teams are. The more chemistry for this group. D, better. I think that's really the tell at a tape with the season just didn't have enough time together. Paul George has been vocal about the mental toll of being in the bubble a couple of weeks ago. Paul George talked about being in a dark place whatever. The bubble got the best of me. I was just in a dark place. A really wasn't here. I checked out and SAM. You've gotten a taste of what it's like to be an isolation down there. We've just talked about that. Do you feel like Paul George and the clippers were maybe hit harder by the challenges of playing in this Environment Paul for sure I mean I applaud him for his willingness to speak openly about it, and then only he knows where his head was at in the later part of the series but I'll never forget I mean right corner. He shoots that three and it clicks off the backboard George. Why office to side of the backboard left corner he barely draws rim on three George Corner three way off short. Gets the rebound Paul George. Now, just to for ten from downtown they were more shook I don't know how to explain it than any NBA team I've ever seen in a crucial moment. I've never seen anything like that. So I don't know how Paul's State of mind came into play but I do think the clippers had a really hard time getting through all that stuff. So Sam what comes next for the clippers, they have a lot of strong personalities and obviously some divisions between them can they hold it together and be titled Favorites Again Next Year you know to be determined. There's already a little bit of a growing sense or at least questions around the League of are they is there any chance they would think about blowing this out because you got to remember to why Paul signed deals they're up next summer they can get out and and when they came to the clippers. People felt like it was unofficially you know a lifetime contract because those guys have the personal connection to the area but I think we're quickly getting reminded that if the basketball situation is not right and if their work life is negative, then you absolutely can't rule out the possibility of them changing their minds. Year and maybe sounding somewhere else you know the NBA rules are when you have a superstar a year away from free agency.

"Freezes up in the big moments. I thought he was trying to actually pass the ball to some person in a virtual stands rate to what you in the virtual part of the bird just they. Drink McColl right blizzard. Here's the thing the clippers right the clippers are gonNA break this up whether you like it or not heard from is sauce all going to break this up they'll going to break this up. Well, listen I agree I agree with what you're saying I'm not blaming I'm not talking about how they got to this spot obviously collide played great in the first round Paul George struggled a little bit in the first. Round started building off of that. But here in this series, how they played in the first and the first four games versus how they played in the last three we we can't give all of this criticism to Janas to James Harden to all these other players and is coming up great year we have to start pushing some of this. This is not what if you're going to give everybody number one title this just can't happen. All Day I'm not saying I'm not saying, Kuwata doesn't deserve some criticism Baluch Lou will lou wheel and Mantras Herro, couldn't God apart car let last night off in this series Luke will was horrible horrible on offense of being he was so worried about trademark in his limited bebel wings that he forgot what he And, that's the provider, a bitch production, and I'm telling you like I said before mark my words they're going to break this team USA big. If you believe that that's what they're going to do than I a hundred percent trust you but I just believe that you can build off. This is not it is a championship or bus, but it's not the group championship or bus the group can grow the crew can build. They can use this stuff for opportunities for the future guys right now you disagree and yet the chemistry and the love and the family is still good so it Happen all right guys coming up. What was your biggest takeaway from game?.

"And you know the taking a step further they traded away Ross stripling because of the confidence that they had in these guys and now all of a sudden like at the wrong time you've got Walker Buehler who really is aside from Kershaw. He's your ace dealing with that and you got Dustin made dealing with that foot injury it should be minor, but I think it's definitely something to watch but. Like the one saving grace the dodgers this year and I pointed it out and I know it's hard to see it because he Kenley Jansen give up a three one lead. The other day their bullpen is really really seems like they said yesterday, this is by far the deepest bullpen that they've ever had. So they get in a bind they could do another one of those bullpen games like they did on Sunday in the playoffs and they'll be in just as much of an advantage as they were with the starting pitcher. Grad you brought up the starting pitcher pitching because. A lot of people are concerned with the injuries that you talked about. But. Is it still just a matter of is just baseball and that is not the right time, but it happens all the time every season you're going to have to deal with this because of the length of the season and notice shorter season but still feels to me anyway, that is still dealing with the same sort of issues you would if it was a regular season, which is guys get hurt. So I missed the beginning of of your question you mean, just just injuries in general. Yeah. Like just injuries in general like the Great Georgia Donald has a phrase it's just baseball. Baseball. Yeah I mean like look the and for and relatively speaking to. The dodgers have actually been like you know really fortunate with both injuries and with guys missing time because they tested positive for Kobe nineteen, which was supposed to be a bigger issue. I mean like look at what the as are dealing with right now and the as seem to like it really hit by injuries year in year out I. thought that the as we're gonNA play the dodgers and the world series this year. That was they look that good but Matt Chapman who is a lot of people? A lot of people don't really talk about that guy but Matt Chapman might be one of the top five position players in baseball. You've got a hip injury now and he's going to miss the rest of the year Aj Puck who is one of the best pitching prospects in baseball who they were really going to rely on. Of their. Bullpen. He's he needs shoulder surgery and who knows when he's going to come back. That's what the as are dealing with the braves have had the brain looked really good. They looked like the next best challenger to the dodgers and the National League. We've had a ton of injuries and their starting rotation. They've had a hard time just piecing together rotation. So just from a big picture perspective like the dodgers have been in really good shape I mean the dodgers biggest question mark is not their injuries right now it's really just sort of. Weird to say but it's it's getting their big guys going cody bellinger Max Muncie jock Peterson like I. think that's As we look to the last two weeks of the regular season, that's the biggest question for the dodgers right now, those three guys re really need to get going all Gonzalez's is a phenomenal job covering major league baseball for us here in southern California for ESPN. Game Seven, the greatest two words in sports. Who is playing the Lakers in the western conference finals. Don't. Make a pick I can't. It's so hard to get hold of lead. How can I trust? That, listen. This is what happens when you only played twelve games with each other in the regular season they took it. They were literally coasting and we talk you and I talked about one of our first shows again together was y'all do you believe that they could get the chemistry they need during the playoffs this feels weird. You know. I will say this. that. Denver Nuggets played himself a position to make everyone in the clippers locker room. Doubt themselves. and. So if they're walking onto the court and they already have that advantage, I'm GonNa go out on a limb and say they'll be competitive in seven. All right I'm. GonNa pick the clippers in the win Greg. I'm going with the Denver Nuggets, of course you are. Laura, let me guess you're also going with the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets Nugget nation right now until we got A. "I. I'm no James Harden I'm no. That's not my neck is to to shoot the ball scored Baugh I can in probably myself from being. Effective on both ends. what is going to be nice like this, where I just can't make a shot and I. I can't allow that to affect my game. I still got to be aggressive. I, still got to try to make plays. I'm GONNA do everything I can to win a ball game and Some Nice it's just going to be like that I'm not gonNA make shots but I gotta find a way to impact what why don't you throw shade at how that's what I'm asking what I'm saying this out of nowhere he throw shaded Jane. What is James Harden have to do with anything right? Exactly. I, mean, the Charles Barkley was lighting him up on TNT broadcast. Out Hear Them Call Me Championship. Chuck. I've won a championship they will call me championship chuck and look I'm not GonNa go as far as their by calling them pandemic p. but the reality is that look many he averaged twenty two points in the regular season shooting forty, one of three point line. Now he's averaging fifteen is last three games I mean he's had nine points loss last night eleven, points before and fourteen, and the reason why he was brought to the clippers is to be Batman and Robin with the likes all I'm to say this altitude is disorienting. When you're an okay see, we expectations weren't to win a world championship when you're in Indiana. Weren't to win a world championship now that we have expectations to win a world championship and you're asked about these things battling through energy battle battling to energy almost saying is. Every team takes over the persona of their best player like look at the Lakers. Right everybody accent accordingly to Lebron James. The same way. HOUSTON. With James Harden. And Russell. Westbrook. Same thing with Milwaukee Jaanus the bucks right. When you look at this clipper team, how come they don't take over the persona of Leonard everybody kind of seems like. Our own thing Mantras Herald, which I'm sure we'll talk about sooner or later you've got playoff kind of listening James Harden talking random tracks. It doesn't seem quite seems like the only person just go into work each and every night with the exception of maybe Louisville. Well, I think they do take on. Personality to a degree. They don't take on his skill set though in when you don't have a guy like that opposite of your star player, you struggle Anthony Davis can match Lebron James to a degree. They can they battle one could hit for thirty. Two of the other could hit for twenty eight on a consistent basis par Georgia's struggled in bright moments in his throughout his career whether it was indie whether it's Ok and now we're looking at it as far as the clippers go. Do I think when you look at guys like this, who supposed to be at the top of their game struggling in the playoffs to learn how to get out of it typically, they do ba for whatever reason, these three games he hasn't figured out how to get out of it, and then when you basically throw somebody else in the conversation, like he did with harden that had nothing to do with the people, really start to look at your game and break it all the way down much like you said, chuck did on TNT Ed Charles. Barkley. So he's got to go back. In. And get back in the lab figure out what is that his struggle that struggling with and try and fix it now maybe doc, we'll have their cyborg conversation with you. Maybe Tie Leung cyborg conversation with to get him to start to perform at the level that they went out and got him that they expect for him to do alone side. Keep soon I mean I'm sure you've had these situations before you drop a ball or Didn't have never happened. We doing shooter suit right like I have no memory. So I think for a playoff p just continued to shoot just to be yourself, but it's like sounds like the Jay we'll right there though he doesn't WanNa, shoot based on what he's saying it's almost like he's like I'm slumping but I'm no James Horne now James Shoot Fifty five times if you allowing to while say find his rhythm and it doesn't sound like Paul wants to do that it is concerning because last night he called the ball multiple times and was opened and chose not to shoot didn't even look at the Rim didn't look at the rim. So is shoulder. What happens in basketball because football I rely on basically eleven people take myself out of that. I rely on offense alignments, tied ends, running backs, quarterbacks off coordinator to give me the ball basketball when guys don't. Is it that become gun shy they just get scared. They don't WanNa do it like what happens I think for for Paul he he's trying to revert back the things that he knows he can do which is being consistent with this effort right and I think it starts it's a it's like inception it's a seed that continues to grow and growing your. Mind about your own shot and psychologically talk yourself out of it but I think for him to also the problem with the clippers is like think about the difference between game last night Luca mixed the game. So easy for everybody who makes the game easy for? Paul. George who makes the game easier for quiet? WHO MAKES THE GAME EASY for? Patrick Beverley?.

"We go. But you know Your celebrity team didn't get the W. I don't even get me started the day it was rate the NBA. But I might play next year. Max I'm tired of this. I'm to stay up just saying that. I see that it's all over instagram and twitter's I`Ma busted but I'm dropping forty. He was warning. Okay hold you to fifty. Yes true to say fifty s today. Did he's reasonable tomorrow. Saturday let's get to the show. The La Clippers continue to strengthen their roster as they begin their push towards the playoffs. According to our woes the clippers plants assigned guard Reggie Jackson upon clearing after the guard was bought out of his contract by the Pistons. Jackson is expected to play a significant role with the clippers. Second Unit so Steven A. Is Jackson signing a pro clippers or anti Lakers move? I think it's Anti Lakers. Listen I'll leave the pro clippers element to Max because there are obviously some elements that you can speak positively about the clippers. But what I'm thinking about what I resonated in my mind. The moment that I learned at Reggie Jackson signed with the clippers. I'm like damn which go get Lakers. And I'm looking at Lebron James and I'm looking at Rob Pelinka. Okay Lebron James. One of the greatest ever Mount Rushmore Matt. Love and respect Rob Pelinka. We all set up a recognize the fact that says magic depart. He's done a good job and we can't take anything away from him. But I mean Dan man looks unique. Get Derrick rose and understand. You didn't want to give up. You WanNA give a first round. Pick got that. You didn't get Marcus Morris. I understand that the Knicks wanted Caruso Caruso and a second round pick if I remember correctly. I'm not sure about that. But but you didn't get Marcus Morris unique get derrick rose. You didn't go after Dennis Rader for okay. See and now and Darren Collison. You couldn't get him to come out of retirement and now Reggie Jackson is with. The clip was a law. Whitmore's so you've got a situation. Where the clippers? Now have a backup point. God that you could put it pick and rolls situations okay. You still got a guy who's of fourth body to help. God Lebron Dave. You're the Los Angeles is clearly. You are writing the Lebron James Anthony Davis Way and I believe they they could beat. Anybody could beat any by. The problem is when you're thirty. Five years of age union seventeenth season and fresh bodies are being thrown at you over the course of forty eight minutes in a western conference was by the way. You'll likely have tough competition before. You even get to the clippers. Assuming y'all are going to meet in the Western Conference finals. I'm just looking at it and I'm like. Damn how is it that you look Raw James? You're the lake of Brain Jeanie Buss Rob Pelinka and the clippers and everything. They beat you twice when they went up against you. They got a while linnet instead of getting them. They got Marcus Morris. Instead of you get you get back up point. Got Off Point Guard to be in the game to spell for Lebron James when he goes to the bench and you let them get Morici. Let them get Reggie Jackson. You let landed in the off season. I mean Dan. The Los Angeles Lakers right now. Max looks like a prophet because he was talking about the clippers. The clippers clippers but the clippers and then add anybody and the Lakers were what they were. I would have said to you. I'm still rolling with the Lakers. Right now. The way things are looking for the clippers. I mean because the lake is just doing nothing but saying Lebron James and Anthony Davis please save. Us pretty pleased with sugar on top. I'm no choice. But to look at the clippers at the favorites going. Back because y Leonard's the best player in the League that's what the gravitational pull is once upon a time. That was Lebron in Miami and everyone went there. It's why in La Everyone's going there. Let's do a thought experiment. This is why it's clippers anti wake or so of course you're right Stephen. There are points on both sides. It's both things but it's more pro clippers. Let's do a thought experiment Let's look at New York. The New York market cuyrrying and K. d. they were never going to the Knicks. The Knicks were never going to be an option. How do I know? Because the Knicks had never in the entire career of Jim Dolan ever signed a real prime-time free agent. Not even one. They can't get anyone to take their money. So if the nets didn't exist you think the Kyri and K. D. wound up on the Knicks because when the nets were Jersey. The Knicks didn't get anybody know Korean K. D. Had New York as a landing spot because the nets existed and they're run like a functional franchise. It's like L. as attractive. Of course the Lakers were getting guys to take their money. They got Lebron James to take their money. It's not like they weren't in the last couple years. Able to give free agents money that they would accept now pre magic Johnson. That was the case. They've no one wanted to go there. It seemed dysfunctional the whole thing but it hasn't been that way since Lebron came. Obviously so this is not really an indictment on the Lakers. So much as it is while. La is attractive the clippers or the more attractive destination. That's why they get listen. They were able to pull the trigger on a deal for Marcus. Morris they get Reggie Jackson in a buyout. They have more gravitational pull. Because they have a well-run franchise and they have the best metal. Max stay with me second. I know you got to set up a little delayed. So I'm sorry if it's gotTa ask you this question you say. The Clippers are the more attractive destination. Why do you say that well as evidenced by the fact that free agents such want to play there? That that Reggie Jackson the buyout. Last-second has his choice chooses the clippers. And say it's because whatever wants to say about Lebron once upon a time or even the ways playing now the Greek Freak Milwaukee there is an acknowledgement whether it's spoken or not if you want to win a championship coup. Why is the guy and then you have the L. A. Mark? So of course you're going to pick the place where you kill a chip in La. Okay first of all let me let me interject number one they play in the same arena which obviously means they play in the same city so the allure of La in the allure of the state percent is negated because it's the same. It's the same locale for both teams. Now we compare brands the Lakers brand far exceeds the clip. A brand. Everybody knows that even you have pointed that out on numerous occasions so if you take those three elements into consideration a you white them out. Now we get down to the plains now for years. Ross you notice being the exceptional reported that you've been throughout these years covering the NBA. You know this comedy. Tom's if we raised about Lebron at how people wanted to come play with them. It was in Cleveland or Miami. We kept talking about how people want to do company with him. Why is that not the case? Now when you have these brand in all of basketball all in all of sports with the Los Angeles Lakers this ship backdrop. Something's wrong with picture here waving Lebron per se. Don't get me wrong. I'm just saying these. Bless you bless you. I'm just saying these are legitimate questions to ask if it's not Lebron it's Jeanie and Pelinka. It's the makeup of the lakes. It's Lebron having the ball in his hands or something because what God Max what God do you know would have a problem being in the picket role situation with Anthony. Davis can you take one? I can't I can't K- This is what I'm saying. You're right to control for that. Same arena same town. Lakers more powerful brand. We both acknowledged there's points on both sides here. You're just saying it's more anti Lakers. The reason I'm saying it's more pro. Clippers is Lebron. Is the best point guard in the League right now. He's more Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant Michael Jordan right now. He is distributing that ball. Why wouldn't players WANNA play with Reggie Jackson? Can you can run a pick and roll Reggie Jackson but he also likes to score. Who WOULDN'T WANNA to play with a player like that? My answer is it's not. That's not that they don't WanNa play with him. It's that players. Recognize that if you want to play in. La and win a championship. Kawai Leonard and the Clippers are the destination I got you. I feel you coming from all I'm saying is this. I can't avoid Roz looking at Lebron because he's Lebron is to ball a your hands your top two candidate for league. Mvp honors. You are representing the Lakers brand. And everybody's going to the other team problem. It's a problem and may cost the Lakers. The chip and I am of the belief that Lebron Max is different because he said it would take them a year. But I'm of the belief if the clippers learn how to win a championship dangling stop. Lebron Lakers don't win this year. He may never have another championship again. How do you judge someone not by what they say by what they do? We're a nation of doers. What's my Bloomberg about doing things? And the second runner up for the regular season M._v._p.. On their roster so dave let's discuss the dynamic duo here are Hawaiian P._G.. The best pairing in the league right now they're fantastic but there's another pairing right down the Hallway Staple Apple Center in Lebron James Anthony Davis. That's the Best Combo in the league and not because of any shade on the clippers standing but there's one thing that Lebron A._d.. Will complement each each other on the court with running pick and roll and that one thing they can do better with each other skillset combined than anything that Paul George and can do now. You can say that Paul Jordan quiet Leonard on opposite wings defensively is a menace if I'm talking offensively and usually when we talk about players complementing one another I it is on the offense events and that's why give the nod their and even though lebrons older they have the health and that do coming into the air. Yeah I mean that's going to be a big thing right whether or not the health of Paul George is something that's one hundred percent. I mean he's coming off of that shoulder injury. Is that something that's going to be plaguing him going forward <hes> and this season I actually I think that it might very well be the clippers. Bristow is the best deal in the League but going forward..

"Which is a political ho big political barring political football on all sides. Even within them. So then there's an undergrad and then we talked to the underground market, where people are like I don't get I don't qualify for the equity program, and now you're now I'm even farther back in the line, because programs broken. So I'm now going underground to sell, and now that's hurting the equity applicants. I mean it's it's a mess. I think it's moving the right direction. Yeah, but it's a mess. It'd be interesting to see what happens with that. Issue. And this Alexa, are you guys going to do any political election type of episodes of your next run, do you? I don't know if we get another run it would I'd love to kind of let that be a part of the conversation. It's also nice to be away venture. I will bet it is in the election is, is compelling. These episodes are so not Trumpy and God got he's exhausting. And it's more evergreen, you can air these. Yeah. She's been editing them for which is nice to have. Well, congratulations house. The show doing so far. It's good. I think people seem to like it have you heard from people directly also people that we've just people like tweeting, you or people to a lot of people tweeting most people are tweeting like, oh, I cut my cord. How do I watch it? And so I'm trying to figure out how to bridge that gap. Yeah. I mean, that's, that's the other weird thing as cable television versus the streaming. And I know keeps changing a changes so quick, Jordan clipper, you guys, the show is clipper comedy central when does it air? It airs Thursdays. Eleven thirty Thursdays eleven thirty in that time slot. But gold times. It's really good show. You guys something as I say, it's the prising in comedy central. There's a lot of humanity in it a lot of issues. It's, it's very watchable enjoyed really fantastic. Low, you're the best thing congrats. Tell student the gang said, you will. "Oh, now, you wanna talk to this team doesn't seem to have a chip on the shoulder at all. Yeah. Here's the thing with the clippers. It's that I cover them during the lob city years despite their success, they have not been able to penetrate, the market of Los Angeles because as you know, you got to win championships. So you gotta get to the finals or at least get the conference finals, and they haven't been able to do that. And again, this team might not do that they probably won't do that. But the fact that they had a thirty one point comeback. They made history. That's the team that you can kind of get behind and support Nelson. Listen, dear Nago against the warriors. Exactly. That's what we know Clinton. They know enough talked to people with the team they're not going to convert Laker fan. If you're a Laker fan, you're a Laker fan. But they wanna recruit the kids, and they're hoping that people forget if you're ten years old, right? Well, you only know the clippers is like the best team of Los Angeles. Remember the Lakers. Right. Yeah. So the Lakers are in a position where they gotta watch out here. Because all of a sudden, they get to max guys. And all of a sudden, it's the clippers like you were raising the next generation of to be clipper fans, they're not necessarily the parents. Now, would you would you allow your son to clear, here's the thing? I'll complain oh my son is now fourteen he is a warriors fan because Steph curry and Klay were coming up and he's the best player. And who are you watching on TV? So he's also a Laker fan. But he also realizes I'm watching the teams in the playoffs. I'm getting text messages from him about Dame Lillard from him about Westbrook. And the basketball fans are watching this and what we do in April may and June. We're watching hoops and the clippers of the night opened up. Some is I'm not saying we're going to convert people. But the reason we brought the podcast to the staple center. We were like, wait a minute. There's a little bit of buzz generating who are these guys. And for the people that we talked to everybody involved said that these are good, and we haven't even mentioned their names yet because we don't know who they, but they're fun to watch your the fourth team in the history of the league that has won more than thirty five games. No all-star. No current also. Store your former all star. There's no one on this team achieved any level of great success thing. I'm Beverly then Ila Gillan Ari. These are names that if you go down Los Angeles, maybe they made her rings hard clipping. So there's a part of this team that like you go against the grain, right? Like, you don't always have to like the most popular celebrity the most popular team. So they're against the grain. That's why this clipper fan base has really embraced this team. There's no superstars on those team. There's no expectation. They're just having some fun, and they are a fun team to watch. How do they build off of this? They way the build off this building a foundation, you know, how the Lakers are kind of in disarray. Who's going to be the president who's going to be the coach what's happening? Steve bommer. He's in place, Jerry, West Lawrence, Frank. They're in place. Doc rivers. He's in place just signed a contract extension stability. And then you have to max contracts into be honest. We both know they might even hype on this. No one's gonna care. If you go to the clippers that's music to the ears of Leonard Cohen, I wanna talk to the media. So if you tell Colli you could play and when you're done, you might have six people at your press conference. Maybe exactly I covered this team when they had Chris Paul Blake Griffin. Laundry Jordan, and they were one of the top five teams in the league. It was me Brad Turner..

"You get tired of the poor play the ownership playing the amount of money that you pay to go into the garden and then having a dump of an arena, even though it's the most amazing arena. But it's just it's not keeping up the fan. Experience is not the same. Thank you. So you'll see fans like that Richard played they played in New Jersey. They played in the middle. Out there in the middle of nowhere. You always weird smells when you're driving. What you use body? But anyway, I love that. We can work away to have old Richard of the Anglo. But the difference now is they play in one of the most beautiful we having a leak in Brooklyn in downtown Brooklyn. And so all of that is new in cool. They'll never catch up to the next. And a lotta times I hear people make comparison Lakers clippers gangqi, those aren't the comparisons. Because the Yankees and the Lakers two most recognizable brands around the world. And they have way more championships than pretty much anybody else. Right. The Knicks still have that. It's more like cubs White Sox. Right. We're right. Even before the cubs World Series win a year ago, two years, or whatever the cubs are always like Chicago's team in White Sox. A little brother even when the White House when the championship, but the city is so big it can support, and it doesn't matter and to to go off your allergy. When you look at the Boston Red Sox before they went on their great run. When you look at the Chicago before they wanna championship. They were always lovable loser. They were always. Well, there's always next year that ain't going on with the Knicks lovable. It's It's ready. going. Expands right now are thinking there's next year. And it seems like Nick management is also thinking, hey, maybe next year. We'll just have to see it actually. Yes. You said in the monologue. They don't have to be after twenty million thirty million people in the megapolis around is fun there. If you caught both of those games yesterday the night game was the more fun and not just because Richard McCarthy. Coming up, Bradley Beal got buckets again this weekend. So should he make one of the all NBA teams? Remember if he put him in you have to take someone else out. We will discuss that mix. Stick around for that first here's distant replay from this date in two thousand thirteen vintage LeBron I know people know, which one. Eighteen. The only guy here on Arizona's John here. I think that was still just you know, I think he's still mad at eighteen or what? In the finals gate. The talk about your final performance do that. Misery has the avai crew on lack. The Joan is brought to you by AllState are doing good hands. Macomb mislead. It's a maker miss league. It's a make on mislead. Make dough miss maker, MS leave. Composer phasers? All right. So yokich. Commits the fell does not agree. The referee fix up to-to, Mike by Germany. Tony brothers. There. Losing his mind. The who handled this objection worse. I'm gonna say this joke just for being in Denver last year with not be the player is without his brothers intensity. That's his brother like if he's having his bad game. Like, he's he's more worried about getting out that locker room. Two brothers. Also, I would say his brothers by far the most intense one in the end, it's bigger than him powering brothers. Yes. There's some family members. We'll just do family members imitate. Now after the hour. Wenches? We'll trolling guys former teammates, and we know als- that's one of the best ones. I'm glad that's a neutral..
