Dallas Cowboys can’t find trade partner, release Poe, Worley

"And on Wednesday morning it was first reported by NFL network that the cowboys were going to cut AKA release d'oro early Dante Poe if they did not find trade suitors before the day was over well guess what there were. No sooners no. Trade. Was To be had the Dallas cowboys wound up releasing both Ontario and early and so the cowboys free agency class does not live. Great. Obviously, Joe McCoy got hurt and was released again a little bit of a particular issue there ha ha Clinton dix didn't even make the team for the regular season obviously Everson Griffen was traded Darryl Worley Dante repoed the latest cuts moist Kennedy opted out. I it is rough. The cowboys did bringing Alden Smith Oh in free agency and that history paid off Greg or line was a member of the free agency class, and maybe you feel good about that it to the watermelon king I suppose but. This. This is where the cowboys are at their purging they're reading. Obviously the NFL trade deadline is next week but due to covid protocols. Teams are moving a little bit more quickly than some might have originally expected but that is the

"I was surprised It was only a million dollar deal. I think what they have and they keep saying, you know, they keep saying, Mike, they keep saying they like their guys, man. You know what Torbinski is okay. But I don't think he's the guy and I don't think falls is the guy you know, you passed on a lot of good guys that could take you to the promised land. And so we'll see. But I think they'll do what they always done. Just be a 10 and 16. That's their feelings. You think so? I think I think most people in Chicago Mike appreciate the call. Thanks for calling. I think most people in Chicago would be happy with 10 16 10 and six Oh, you. Yeah, I think six would be a perfect thing for that. The Bears did sign a veteran defense event today. Mario Edwards attacked him out of the line. The guy that can help think about last year they had principal Kamara and High Clinton Dix were there starting one of their starting cornerbacks and starting safety. They could get him back if they like because they are both after signing with other teams have both been released. They were both released yesterday by the other team's. Maybe the Bears Let him go just in time because they can help out with the other team. So that means that Jalen Johnson, the rookie Eyes going to be likely the starting cornerback because the Bears also cut Kevin Tolliver, which which came as a surprise to me, the guy the kid out of Ellis you a couple years ago. And I thought he played pretty well. They will have a practice. All teams we're gonna have, I think because of covert and everything else they're practice squads will be 16 deep, so it's a little bit deeper and a few more than they have had in the past. That's nice a lot more today. Laser man Maggie's talking the media today and falls and service. You're also talking now we were talking about Robiskie last caller said, doesn't think he makes the cut. Did you see the Pompeii article in the athletic? They had some scouts right that they were quoting their scouts A B and C. Do you want to give their name, but at least one it seems to me about three. But at least one said something To the point of Mitchell. True Biscuit is not an NFL quarterback that from a scout. That's pretty harsh. And when I saw that I was thinking about this pole that we have up on ESPN. 1000 Twitter When I saw that I thought I really got mad at pace all over again because it's like, Wait a minute. You have a scout are named and it's really easy to say whatever you want to say your name right? But you have a professional scouts saying this person is not an NFL quarterback. Now I agree that there might need there may need to be a wholesale change. If there is one. Both have to be changed, but that is seems to be the consensus. So it's all up to Mitch. If he has this confidence back, he's able to make decisions. They backed him up with a good play, calling. Yeah, you know and see what he can do. And I agree. Starting falls means that if he fails, you go to Mitch. And that's not a good place to put the fans mentally or Mitch. Yeah, I don't think it is either 31233237761 talk bears. Okay here Thursday night. Eyes going to be Thursday night football and they're just being mean the NFL because Thursday night the first game of the year is going to be Houston with Shawn Watson and Patrick Mahomes from Kansas City. The two guys in the Bears didn't get In the draft when they took my controlling us. Yes, there's no doubt about it. Plus they both side big money contracts, including John Watson yesterday having a press conference everything else like that. But one thing you usually see Is when you see games at NBC, you see Al Michaels and he starts and he's sitting there in the camera shall one camera shot and then all of a sudden in slides..

"There's the the more you're in the game you have that baseline because you have the experience and you've seen things so you have that based on the feel comes with probably success and and just being able to get it right and and feels an interesting word you could use that and you know in many different ways with with with with in football like how that works but I mean it's you know you can go to the DNA part of it that's kind of the base on either have it or you don't the feel part of it is more so probably of more experience the more plates you see the more defense is the the more voices the more plates you run within your offense for example you you get a better feel with where to go with the football and I think his is growing within our offense and with more time that he's had in this league he's getting more experience and when when things are coming together offensively like an actress quarterback but yeah running yeah when everything's coming together it is the excitement palpable practice of you know in other words can do to people for the players feel the momentum that they're that they're getting it things come together or is just more business like and know it it's it's saw one when we were really going through the the the deal they are trying to figure out our Denny of offense yeah the the vibe within the energy was in practice hasn't changed is still guys are focused at that's what I think is great about our guys office discussions the the the the vibe is always been there the energy Spender that's never wavered as far as systematically where you start getting into you can probably feel a little bit difference of the confidence again of knowing that what you're doing you feel good about and and now how do you grow and would you keep what do you get away from so there's there's a mean winning confidence all that ties in together can you look at yourself in the shoes of ha ha Clinton Dix going back to Green Bay and face the team that created them all and I mean on a much smaller spectrum I've been traded away as a player and and I know what that feels like when you play them again so to each their own I'm sure he'll be fired up the you mean it's but it's not about a personal deal with him I know he's so we focus there to help his defense out not know this but where were you you're trying to find where where I was traded a couple times I was traded from Georgia the Georgia force to the Columbus destroyers and we played them in the NFC championship game of the originally we dominator I'll never.

"Tradition. Unlike any other Waddle and Silvy on ESPN one thousand one a great weekend. Don't forget Thursday. We're out for the NFL draft. Instead of the first midwest Bank studio, we're gonna make home in drug at twin peaks. We'll give away another VIP sometime in the five o'clock hour about you've got to do the Florida oral Hieaux coming up, but Allocco not I want to get to some Tim Anderson stuff. The the poll question that I tweeted out regarding Ryan pace and trading up is a surprise to me out. What bears fans think he's gonna do? It said we'll bears general manager Ryan pace trait up from pick eighty-seven in this year's NFL draft. The question isn't Willie trade up into the first round and not expecting him to go from third round two first round. But knowing Ryan pace is history. Knowing that the bears window is open. I'm willing to bet the Ryan pace moves up from eighty seven even eighty maybe it's sixty but thirty eight percent of the listeners say, yes. Sixty two percents a Ryan pace will not tread on. That's where I would vote. Yes. Yes. I would vote that he won't move up. I won't be shocked. But I would vote if I had to put my money down in Vegas. My money would be on. No that he will not run seconds sandwich. Bet. Sure. Yeah. I'm not going to spend a ton of money on it now sandwich pattern. Yeah. I just think he will. I just think it's too. He's too tempted. He's moved up to picks. He's moved up one pick. He moved up for Anthony Miller he'll pay tomorrow for today. And the bears are in win now mode. And like the way shefty was talking about the bears stuff Davis for joined Howard. We're not sure Clinton Dix Ramos. That's like a lot of those moves can be perceived as sort of decide moves, right? Like, not moving batter. You haven't really improved your team? You maybe have stayed the same. Yeah. I mean, they were I would say that those were lateral moves as some people. I mean, I think that is there been one move that the bears of made that you say that for sure makes them better this offseason. In terms of adding guys. They added Quayle Patterson. More flexibility, huge upgrade. But yes, somebody they didn't have. No, I don't think there's any Cunningham. I get it. That's a good one. I think hawk Clinton Dix is a better. You know ball hawking strong safety than ammos. I think that's a slight upgrade. But why would they go for so much cheaper than Dono, ammos? I don't know. But my personal belief is better off with Clinton Dix, especially with the money attached to it. I don't think Adrian ammos plays the football exceptionally. Well, don't mean he can't play. But for a team that's going to get to the quarterback quickly and the ball's coming out fast. I think you put a premium on guys ball skills. I said ball skill right in the secondary. Right. And I think hot Clinton decks Dix has better ball skills than Adrian, ammos, you even how can you can't flinch from if it's different than decks. I mean, why would it scare you Meller flinch when you said Dax instead of decks, oh, no, I think just the word word choices that he put together the ball skills of a high Clinton Dix amuse me. Listen, I. Mean for a whole season of ball skills? I mean, I when you have a dynamic pass rush. Don't you want your secondary to be guys that have tremendous ball skills? Yes. I do I like to take away capability. Though, tell us that he scared of tackling at times. That's what the Packers that's us. And also the fans have told that's a fair criticism. I think probably, but I'm gonna hope that's Danny treve thin and roquan Smith and others get guys to the ground before they get to ha ha Clinton, dick. So I'll sacrifice your tackling prowess for better ball skills. Okay. I'm just saying the whole thesis here is the bears haven't done anything drastic to super improve a team that was very good in eighteen to make it much better in nineteen and they create a new cap room. And they didn't really go crazy with that. And they don't have a lot to trade. I don't think your premises crazy at all. I think there's there's history that tells you that Ryan pace is an aggressive GM. And if he sees something there's nothing that will prevent him from going to get it. And that guy this year is so meaningful. That one player you could think to yourself were a player away one. We were twelve and four if we get this guy, we're better than the eagles were better than the Rams were better than the saints were better than the three division teams are division high up or you moving. I don't know. I it depends where that guy is. And it's a good question. And what you mortgage, then are you willing to trade the raiders pick? Are you willing to trade a twenty? What is would it be twenty twenty one? And they don't have a first round pick next year either. So it's twenty twenty one like. For what a running back. In the second or third round. I mean guys you can find guys in third round Mel told us that that the draft this year is deep you can get guys in third round that maybe you wouldn't have been able to get last year. So nothing would surprise me one. His history tells me he moves up early. He moves back late. He moves up to get the guy he likes and then moves back to try to replenish. So I'm just going by all the three or four years five years, whatever it's been of Ryan pace doing what Ryan pace does knowing that he's sitting on a twelve and four football team liking what he's got a great deal. Having to watch eighty six picks go by the board before he gets a crack to improve his I don't believe that he's willing to wait that long. Well, I would I would hope you make the decision based on something other than impatience. So if you're just sitting there because you wanna turn in a card, so you're willing to make a trade, then I think that's foolish for whatever reason you got. Guy you feel. Not to just turn to call. He's getting bored. And he sees all these other picks going by. And I want to have one of the right? You know, how it is? You have fun getting younger sibling a sleepover because his older siblings. Having a sleepover saying that you're like that really like that guy, and he's all I like that guy too. And you're looking at your board, and you're looking for thirty some picks away. Dammit. You know, I gotta tell you what I gotta give up. I know. I think the. Currency. You have is the raiders second round pick. That's the best currency. You have you've got to come up with a Mark Silverman value chart for the draft starting you gotta have it ready by Thursday the prom. Do it do it. No. All right. The problem is even though you're right over the the raiders pick would be enticing the most teams that at best that's going to net. You what a low second rounder because usually there's a round tax for a year because it's a year later, usually you're gonna get a third rounder. If you give up, you know, a second round, I know this guy this guy has been one of the most aggressive GM's in the NFL the last several years. So nothing would shock me. But I would if I had to put my money down. And I just did I would bet slightly. I'm not saying it's an impossibility, I would bet because of the lack of draft capital. There's a good chance. And because it seems like Ryan has caught you know, has found his his draft legs. And he's got a good asset and evaluating offensive skill players in Matt Matt Nagy, they may be able to stand Pat at eighty seven and find a guy that can make an incredible difference. Then you know, that's a good point that you bring up. It really is. Because when you rank Ryan pace best picks. Don't you started? Eddie Jackson and Tariq own that were fourth rounders. So yeah, maybe you sort of settled in. Now, you believe maybe more in your scouting ability. Now, you guys that you like to do like their two second round picks from last year James Daniels starting guard. Anthony Miller looks like after seven touchdown season as a rookie. He's going to blossom into an even bigger contributor on offense. So the grinds had himself a really good last eighteen plus months, he went away in three one two three three two three seven seven six draft week again, we're out and about the twin peaks. Also, I was at the cubs game yesterday. Walk off win Bodey. The single to win it. The cops are going to need a closer. I don't know if stroke can do it all year, and I'm not saying because he gave up a home run last year. I think he's best utilized in the seventh or eighth. I like the versatility when you can use them in different situations too. And with more oh now be questionable. I don't know. What the cubs are going to do. I don't I don't and everyone solution is kimbrel. Go out and get kimbrel in my other takeaways from being at the game was looking at that giant Jumbotron one home run next to Chris Brian's. Name is shocking to look up at it. It's even more shocking to want seeing it on TV. And then the whole chat would thing. My take was give them another star circling back to kimbrel. It isn't the general consensus cure is you're not going to want to give up the draft compensation, which don't fully understand hundred and ten percent correctly. But to sign kimberlite this time, wouldn't it cost you right because you you're gaining one of these guys who have been tendered so in order to. Fine him. You would have to give up the pick. And it's different than it's been in the past where it is. But if you wait till after the draft, then obviously June in June late soon, you've already waited here domain at least the beginning of may. And then Kimbrell is gonna have to get in shape that who knows maybe you work with his agent, and your as you get closer to the draft you start saying workout, we're going to we're going to say, I I don't know. I guess I mean, I don't know can you work out will differ, but on my sumps in is he's preparing himself. Now like he is going to be signed any day, isn't he? Shit at home eating chips. He he would need a little bit of time to ramp up and some minor extended spring training and minor league games. But. Yeah. He's a throwing program..

"Call. This is one opportunity to reinvigorate himself and create a more desirable. Marketplace for him fourteen career interceptions and five years. Yes. And his thirteen pick since twenty fifteen tied for the second most from safeties in the NFL since that time. Yeah. They're different players. But I would rather have ha ha Clinton Dix for three and a half million. Then Adrian Amos for four years and thirty six million thirty six million dollars. Can you believe that thirty six ten times more? He's gonna make ten times more than what ha ha Clinton Dix signed with the bears three point five million dollars who would have thought that two years ago. So I would ask you, regardless of the level of play. If it's if it's if it's negligible the difference. Would you rather be tied into Adrian Aimo said that cost or ha ha Clinton decks for three and a half million to see how he fits? Maybe he proves that he's worthy of a longer term deal going forward or you come to the conclusion, you know, what this was a nice try, but. Redraft safety, and we're gonna play young and the bears may do that. Yeah. No. I think it makes all the sense in the world. I know how I felt about Adrian we went through the the exercise of ranking the bears defensive players where did Amos rank. He was like seventh or eighth at best. So why pay a guy thirty six million dollars? Who's your seventh or eighth most important player? It doesn't make sense in a salary cap age especially in for mode. What was the staff that you said Harrison between the two JJ Stankevich where does so he's part of NBC sports, Chicago, right? Covers the bears. This was a tweet he sent out. This is just one stat. So not trying to draw major conclusion out of it. But ha ha Clinton Dix had fewer miss tackles in two thousand eighteen eight of them did Adrian Amos who had nine of them per pro football focus now, I've always said about pro football, focus. I don't believe that that's the gospel. I think their piece of the information that you put into your evaluation process. And the reason why this is meaningful is. Because Clinton Dix has not been considered a very good run. Run support safety. He's been more of a free safety. That's done things in coverage, and and some people's eyes may be a bit of a liability in the run game. And what JJ is saying to you here via pro football, focus is he actually had fewer miss tackles than ammos whose strength is more being run supporter than it is being passed cover in the next couple of days here in Arizona. We're gonna talk to heal as well as cows Warburg, John Lester, Jason Heyward. And our body is going to be on the show a good day for you Darvish today after a little bit of a topsy turvy start. What was it for? I think he he went four innings gave up one earned run. I believe on three hits gave up a couple of walks. I think he hit a batter too. Didn't he Adam? But overall just one earned run in four innings pitched shop good outing for him. Good spring training outing for you darva. Right. So we'll talk about that with Jesse. We've got an LB rule changes which aren't as much as you originally thought they were going to be I think the biggest. One is the trade deadline difference. We'll get into that. Dan Orlovsky is gonna join us coming up next talk about NFL free agency was a big buyer and what the bears did last year. Does. He like what the bears have done. So far in free agency. "You guys watched peppers towards the end in Chicago, and they came here and kind of had a little bit of a rebirth. You think clay Matthews can do the same thing. Situational pass rusher. Ran his course with his team. Previously gets a fresh start with another team. I would not I would not be surprised if he did for his ex team. What I did in his three years here. The Packers fluid not bringing him back after the sixteen season. He really helped them. And I think they've moved on from clay Matthews. I'm curious to see if he can do for another team what peppers did after leaving Chicago and coming here. My guest Jason would be he will help somebody out, but that's an awful high bar to clear, Julius peppers. And you know. When he moved on was still playing at such a high level and you'd never. Yeah. And you never had to really worry about him being hurt. And so I'm not sure listen. I'm just saying this to you. If this bears team and Ryan pace finds a way to to convince Justin Houston to come to this team, you'd better just cancel your season. You better canceling Jason. I love Justin Houston. I thought there was all the talk about de Ford and the Packers wanting to trade for him. And I thought you know, what instead of giving up a second round pick and paying the price that he's gonna cost. Houston's only two years older than him. I wanted to see the Packers get Justin Houston. I thought it would be a smart move. And if he ends up going to Chicago and having those. Can you imagine? What Aaron Rodgers is going to be like at night the night before games against the bears. He's not gonna get any sleep. He's gonna retire. Yeah. You should. Please. I suggest it because I think the life in Chicago would be a whole lot better. If Aaron just decided he'd had enough of football. I will cut off of them. And I'll let you. Just to reiterate Jason is let you go vexing is the way you describe ha ha Clinton decks. Vaccine is a great word. I I don't know if I came up with that were, but you definitely you did I think you. I've been talking to you guys for so long. I forgot what I said. No, I look I do not I would not pull this side. If I'm in Chicago and I'm a bears fan or I'm covering the bears. There are certainly reasons to wonder what you're going to get but for three and a half million on a deal given what I've seen him do when he's playing at the top of his game. I think you should feel very good about this. I think you should feel like this guy can recapture what he's been and you could really be valuable in that defense. They may end up. I don't know what's going to happen. But they may be better off with him. Then they would have been with Amos. Have they paid him to stay Jason great stuff? Good offseason. We'll talk to you soon. "To sign a veteran safety to a short term contract. The kid that I can't mentioned it was day ho from the Vikings. But I think ha ha Clinton Dix fits the fits the role quite well. And you guys finally get your Dicks you in. Cla hot. Hi. Hi. We're talking about finally get our haha. Yeah. You and me we get the last laugh as as you could say yes because good one because back at that time. I think you guys were advocates for Clinton Dickson in that year. I believe they spent that first round pick on Kyle fuller. So listen it all came together. You get a Pro Bowl caliber corner and the safety who has fourteenth career interceptions in five years. I think you get you've got the best of both worlds. And I were there you blew us off the draft party in two thousand fourteen ways at the two thousand fourteen draft. We are at peace pizza. I believe it was me Meller. Carman was there. Couple of others right now who else was there. Danny might have been there. He made then they're a little watch party the bears first round pick. And we wanted haha Clinton Dix. That that elusive safety for the bears is something that we were continued to talk about and the bears ended up getting Kyle fuller and all in all now a couple of years ago. We're like oh boy Kyle fuller that turned out that there was a time. Where it looked like he was in Vic Fangio's talk house, and that he was eventually going to go Bye-bye. Remember they tender and now now look how vital fuller is Cal fuller. Elliott's unbelievable. Somebody on Twitter guy. Robert tweeted out that the bears now have three first rounders from that draft. They now have a fuller, ha ha Clinton Dix. And I believe that's the year that your best player came out in the NFL max v. What was he the fifth overall was the raiders? So and listen what this team what ha Clinton Dix will do very well is play football is I said fourteen career interceptions. I think five years that's pretty impressive from safe. Maybe not be a real strong in the box run supporter as much as he is somebody that can can play. But look here's the deal pass rushes come and fast and fierce so quarterbacks are going to let go the ball quickly. Like we saw this year and they're going to be forced to take chances because the pass Russia's coming. So now what you've added to your secondary is somebody who's more they ball hawk than the previous safety at Adrian, ammos. I don't know what Adrian Amos's career interception totals were my guess is. They're not close to being as impressive as what ha ha Clinton Dix is are. So you're going to have a guy that plays the pass and coverage better than the guy left. You may lose a little bit as I said an in run run stopping. But from a pass pass coverage perspective, I think that they've done well for themselves in a short term, sorry, Sylvia. Amos only had three career interceptions for his time with the bears. One thing. I want to point out to guys I do remember when the Packers traded high Clinton Dix robbed them off ski was. On the station. I think with Carmen you're talking about how part of the reason they couldn't wait to jettison from Green Bay was because he was he was too much of a freelancer. He wasn't always reliable and coverage. So that's one concern for the bears is that he actually do carry out the plans that were asked they ask of him. In that remember now that that Green Bay secondary was filled with young players Alexander the kid from Iowa. There was a lot of youth in that secondary. So maybe they want. Now what he'll be able to do in this defense. Maybe that won't hurt them as much if he's freelancing a little bit because you'll have Kyle fuller and prince amukamara and Eddie Jackson back there to help pick him up at times. Plus the ball will have to come out early. So something look at for. Sure, jeff. But not something that I think that'd be immensely panicked by all right? If you wanna react to the bears move the like it three one two three three two three seven seven sixty think there's another big move out there again. This is short term. I can't imagine it would be anything more than what were you guessing one year five million dollars guarantee. Right. We'll look for the money here in just a minute. But I always thought that there was going to be a bigger move out there. I do like this move couple of stats for. You he started every single game for the last four years starting the first seven for the Packers. And then he's starting every game. After getting traded to the Redskins. We're going to be joined by Jason Wilby who covers the Packers. And in essence, this turns out to be an Amos for ha ha Clinton Dix trade. And again, like I like, I told you about Amos I feel like that's not a position I wanna overspend on you you've mentioned in all week while Eddie Jackson is one of the him in white hair. The two guys that you're zeroing in on that you want to extend your the great young inside linebacker. They adjust drafted you feel great about into being a star. He really came out at the end of the year last year, then a front look at the pass rushers that you have to get after the football. So why spend and long-term money they wanted. Eric Weddell to start. Oh, we found that out through the Monday morning quarterback a plug and play guy. They could just stick in their new defensive coordinator. Remember? Specializes in the secondary specializes in safety play. So check guy we'll see what he can do with Clinton decks and with Eddie Jackson together, and Adam delve, it I don't know if we mentioned this earlier told us that Eddie Jackson was hosted at Alabama by Clinton Dix when he came on is recruiting they spent one year together. Correct. I add Alabama. But yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I like that. Listen, I I'm still I'm still hoping that somehow some way Ryan pace finds a way to be creative and Justin Houston's market isn't as as I dunno is competitive out there is as maybe he hopes. I mean, certainly I'm looking for everybody to get the most money they could possibly get. But if the market isn't there for Justin, Houston, my hope is is that there's a little change left in the coffers. So that they could maybe bring in Justin Houston, which would Elat me. And that would be wise spending of your money. Ryan pace has done a nice job again last year day, one first few hours, you went out and got Trey Burton. You got Alan Robinson. You got Taylor. Gabriel spent a lot of money, and you did some nice things this time. They didn't need to go out and make the same splash because their talent base is significantly better. And so is there debt? So I think Ryan is spend money wisely. Here we surprised about letting bell going to the jets. Ultimately is that exactly the way thought it would return on? We got a little bit of the Levy on bell. Well, I blame that on us being exposed to what the bears did over the last twelve to eighteen months. Football brain told me, it's probably not likely first and foremost because they didn't have the cap space to be the the ultimate high bitter because the jets always had more cap space. So if it was came down to the jets and the bears that jets always we're going to be able to throw more money at him. It didn't really fit so common sense. If you take a step back, and you look at it and go. Yeah. I mean, maybe we got a little bit hyped about it for unnecessary reasons. But the fact that Ryan pace has shown us over the course of the last two years that he is willing to make that big splash to be aggressive. I think that's kinda lead us into this thought that, hey, maybe this is possible. Because I don't think before Khalil Mack was traded to the bears. It'll take any of us expected that no are you kidding? So I think when you look at what Ryan pace is done in total, you know, the trade up for Mitchell Trubisky. They got aggressive with the addition of Anthony Miller last year, they moved up there. Made a trade for him Leonard Floyd, they traded up. And then you you make the trade for Khalil Mack. I think we kind of all now are in the mode of don't ever overlook Ryan pace and his desire to knock on every door and make every phone call. You guys wanna prices, right? This. I'm going to go a little higher than what wild said. I'll go six five on on the ago one year five and a half million. How Meller have you seen this on Twitter? Do you want to I have not I'll play I will go. Yeah. I'm gonna go one year I'm gonna try to undercut everyone and go with three million. I'm just trying to I'm just trying to win the game. Meller winds apparently Microsoft just said on NFL network that the bears deal for Haukeland dixies one year three and a half million dollars. They're basically paying him what they paid Cody parkey last year starting safety. I mean, I don't deal with a guy he played with before. I will say I'm a little bit surprise. And it tells me for whatever reason the rest of the NFL may not feel great about him at this moment. Because if the NFL thought more highly of him, I think there would have been a bitter bigger contract out there for him. Well, here's a little I'll be interested to talk to to fights one year three and a half millions. And now he he can prove it if he takes advantage the way Jackson took advantage of this this defensive of the pressure and getting all the interceptions. He can go out and make more money next year. Will your insight? Your instinct is correct Waddell. 'cause garafolo just tweeted ha ha Clinton Dix gets three and a half million dollars one year deal from the bears source says he had more on the table elsewhere. But it sounds like you wanted to join the Chicago defense and be reunited with Alabama teammate, Eddie Jackson. So he turned down more money man, y'all are going to be Alabama fans by the end of the year just watch roll tide. I felt nothing to do. It does it's bringing them in Packer fans now too because no for a former Packer, no. But if they're if it's bringing them together, that's all that matters. Yeah. Well, this is an example of this is why this was the Justin Houston plan for me that maybe there's a little bit more money out there. But he wants to be a part of this special defense. Now, I think Justin Houston can have a bitter bigger impact. And there will be a bigger market for him. Then ha ha Clinton Dix. But even so how much more I can't imagine a player like him who is visiting free agency would turn down a boatload. More just to come here at the end. Right. Correct..

But I don't know if he's ever going to be that force that is worth the Khalil Mack. Aaron Donald type of contract it's tough because you are like he's going to if he hits the market someone's going to pay him like he's going to be a fifteen second year guy. Correct. But I don't think that happens, but there's a world, and what that happened, certainly sure. But I I would be willing to make that. But I think you should keep him. "But you were there. I mean, do you guys had to be wondering where is he I I was looking for number thirty the entire game. And and you're right. I you know, I saw him make that run and and break Chung's arm and that on that violent run. So I really I mean, it's hard for me to say from where I was sitting exactly what was going on. I just refuse to believe the chumming. They wouldn't do everything he could to put the team in the best position. That's what because he's been so good since he's been here. But that was that the numbers don't back that up the number that, you know, if girlies hurt you don't give them six carries all right zero. And if he's not hurt you give him twenty six makes no sense. If it's really, wear and tear. I can see why you would limit his pitch count. If you're really worried about Todd Gurley having a long career. And I mean somebody that comes in on regular basis says tiger lead five years on that knee. And and then they're going to be issues because member he had reconstructed knee after rand's of Adam four ramps have Adam four years. Yeah. So we're right up against it. Rams have got really tough. Free agent decision. There's a note here that. They may be pursuing. Well, they were thinking about it. They were built to to make it to the Super Bowl this year. And they did they made it all the way to the Super Bowl. They just didn't win it. But they knew this. They they they structured their salaries. So they would have these tough decisions this year, and the the the one that that's going to be the Lynch into all of it is off if they extend Goff, then than some of the guys are gonna have to go if they just leave Goff to play one more urine his rookie deal than they could probably afford a few more people. But I don't think Marcus Peters is coming back. I don't necessarily think CJ Anderson's coming back. But who knows less needs a smart guy? We have a lot. "Mandich. I'm excited about. Thanks. You know on Chinese is this a week ta where there were conversations with you and your agent about potentially getting moved was there any talk in the locker room. It was it was both. There's a lot of trade talks throughout the weekend. You know, even before the game. I was hearing about trade blocking. No one. Half one in LA. I knew that, you know, coming into Monday and Tuesday that you know. Everybody else's court. You know? Now. Only member of the Packers to be traded time Montgomery sent to Baltimore for a seventh round pick. What can you tell me about this deal?
