"Outdoors. You would think that we've turned a little bit of a core. Yeah and you know. The weather is always a horrific around this time. Because what was it like last year. May i really associated with the super bowl. All usually seems like our worst coldest nastiest weather and This week certainly going to be like that snow tonight. And then you know maybe temperatures around zero by the weekends. The metallica show was last year right. Was it last year. No metallica's two years ago. I believe it was at the end of january. I remember that well then last year. Yeah i believe it was and it was. It was horrifically cold outside. Yeah and we had a whole promotion where we were going to drink beer outside. We'll yeah heaters. Yeah we had heaters. Everybody stood around and then went right back inside all the way back to you know grown up here the summers seventy seven and seventy eight. In the worst winters we've ever experienced. That was right. Yep that ended january and early. Yeah yeah well look. I think right now. We're just kind of sitting on our hands and wait until this. The vaccine where people are getting their second shots and that sorts of take. That's the plan at my house going super bowl parties or anything less than i just wanted to watch. So you couch brian. Combs you're a for action. You love the action i do. You seem a little bummed out do well. Now all hoping that The kansas city offense would live up to its hype and it did not cover most of my best with the gronkowski thing because he has such a good game. Yes you bet on him. Over a blend touchdown so that good see me that help cover. Some of the other stuff me was Last week preaching. Everybody you gotta do this gronkowski to one to watch bubble. He's been all defense and then we saw that happen in my twitter blew up people go beat really put money down where he was chirpin and of course lie did put money on tampa bay to win by nine and a half though. I was thinking you tease that up to like two touchdowns or something odds. That would've been. Wow yeah. I didn't think it was going to be a blow out like it was probably friday. I was saying my money from my shot. Thing went on hardman the the receiver for the chiefs. Who was like their third receiver kick return. Whatever verse three balls last night. Were thrown his way. He didn't catch any nobody. I mean i'm thinking you know what your may work. Yeah yeah you know we did it. Ruin the super bowl for you now. Okay anytime in guy does good. I feel good. Yeah yeah. I wanted him to. I have no entitle him at all. I don i just thought. I think it's cool that a guy was Know with the patriots. So long they did so well then he laughed and everybody thought that he's gonna blow it down there. It's about the team So many things like you're right off the older guys. And as i get older that definitely is we are always right. Yep now mahomes may be able to perform a little bit better in and twenty years winning it. that'd be great right. I mean he played out of his mind last night. He threw sidearm. Yeah yeah right yeah got it right to the spot dropped it. Put the ball right on the money on it. Yeah none of them like shortstop job sucks a. He sat there and said man play. It had nothing to do with him. I think should signing the play shortstop. They need them. There goes brian comes. He's outta here. Yeah he's gonna run down the hallway skipping a step so i think he did. Well money moneywise. Well listen i all about it. Good for him that money. It's the kid. Chris show it's one or two seven. Wtn a comedic legend. Who's been in here. He's been an anchor man. He's been in all these awesome powers. He was a dirty work. Mr david koker welcome back to cincinnati. You last time you were in town. You came by the studio. We had a blast with your brother blast again. Why not right down to it. I'm sure you're like oh. Yeah yeah. I remember that the forget it you know. It's it's easier if you're walking into the environment you send before because then you have a better way of a memory of the remembering it right here. I'll give you a. This'll definitely make a stand out I was the heavy set disc jockey sitting down talking. You remember david coke ner talking to us of course anchorman out. Cold awesome powers. All these great things could see. You got this new movie. That's dropping out right now today. It's called the right. One starring cleopatra coleman and nick soon myself and alleged schlesinger are in support And it is a romantic comedy joy. I one actually okay now. Are you involved and all the producer role of this or no and your fish. It's hard to believe. I don't get the girl what see well. That's why it's a movie. It's phony wouldn't that be funny entire time. You're watching this story of these two and you think oh. I hope the guy gets. The girl gets a guy that doesn't work these stories of just lightly touch upon at the end. It's just making some gal. I look at the camera go. I finally got one then credits and credits to credit david. Colder here on the kid chrishell. Do you come from the stand up world. are you more of a city. I o n scholars started. And i didn't start doing stand up until i had my fifth child and i thought oh Fatty you don't have a chance to have a down month. Better keep something else doing so. That's when i started doing stand up was nine years ago. Then i started doing stand up and but you know i've always done alive so i started taking classes in nineteen eighty seven and i've been on stage since for me really doing standup. You know. if you have a partner on stage now your partner becomes the audience. So that's the way. I look at it and so it's just another way to live comedy which i've always done so just translating one you know. Basically i'm opening myself up to the audience. So that's gonna be shot and you need to know what the full frontal but they got it. no. I love all of it. I love all the mediums. I love love radio. I love television. I love movies. I love live and god. Bless us all you know you guys have been able to keep working throughout the whole thing and doing your thing every day which has got to be. Just you know it's the love. I'm sure the love your life So i'm really looking forward to getting back out there. David coconut here on the kid. Chris and before we let you go and go see the movie. The right one is on on demand and all that stuff. Do you remember when you first started going up just doing standup you like your first bit. And you're like oh this is going to be funny. This is going to be good and you went up there and it just died. I'm sure i'm sure a lot of did but you know coming from an improvisational background. You don't focus on that you know you don't think. Oh it's over. I've gotta dig my way out of it. You an improvisation. It's free for you. Just gotta keep going so it's not so it wasn't like i had only my written and now i'm done and i've stopped and so this last bit for thirty seconds didn't work. Who cares this. You still have fun stages location. You still owe that audience your vast. So just he's going. Actually i look at it. Wow i never looked at it that way because we never whenever we talked to just regular stand up guys talk about bits and they can't wait to get up on stage and then one just dies like well. That's the beauty part about being radio. If our bit dies we just.

"Doesn't really matter. I like my job and. I don't think I'M GONNA go. Anymore. Zach. Tina. Retail retail things. There's a direct correlation between dogs and lightning. Yes. Thank you. Look back to the show to the with you coast to coast and around the world on the American forces radio. Network. There's a new movie coming out today in selected theaters. If you can get into one and video on demand, it's called the argument and we're now joined by the director of that Robert Schwartzman and Robert thanks for being on the Shell and this movie is. It's very interesting. I got a chance to see the screener. It's almost feels like it was a a play originally. Script script to you. Thank you for having me first of all Yes. the arguments was written by a friend named Zach Stanford who's who's written other features and people could kind of check out his other work. But it was shared with me in just kind of loosely and I laughed out loud I was on an airplane ride laughing out loud with headphones on I probably looked kinda crazy but it. It reads like a play and. it's it's very much a performance piece you know with an ensemble cast. it's set in one location and I personally. Love movies that are set in one location because there's an it's a different way to tell a story. There are other things about that have to pull you in and keep you engaged. And for me the filmmaker, you know I I saw the argument as a as a challenge. As a filmmaker because it's really it's a head scratcher of how do I keep this movie and visually you know engaging exciting interesting It's really all the dialogue. All performances We were just trying to be supportive as filmmaking team. To stay out of the way of of the performances and guide as much as we could and sort of the pacing and the rhythm of the edit. The lead protagonists in this is a very interesting looking guy and he plays part very well he's sort of remind me of Curtis Armstrong who played Burger in the yet engine a nerd movie. How did you come about that? Yeah Dan Fogler I've just been a big fan of Dan. So I mean I I know his previous films I mean I back in the day he did a movie called balls of fury. was like a ping-pong big kind of fun comedy and he's actually starring Maggie Q. Who's also in the argument so they kind of reunion for those to actors. Dan, Danza Tony, winning actor. He was a star of a show called spelling bee which was of hit and you know Broadway. he's also one of the stars of the fantastic beasts franchise which is a new one being made now but. He's a he's a very funny comedic. Very you know he he's he goes big. You know he he really leans into the physical side of comedy. He's not afraid to go there and he's you know it's fun to be around actors like that I enjoy it because I feel like I'm just learning as a director to just understand the style and habits and the in the sort of muscle memory of actors and and really every movie is is a is a new learning experience every day a new learning experience and but Dan is incredible I. Mean He's His character he plays somebody WHO's. You know feeling he feels like a letdown in his own life. He feels like he's not where he wants to be. So He's carrying that insecurity news relationship, which is really what sets in motion the argument that he has been about basis girlfriend in the movie. And you mentioned Maggie Q who's been in studio with us gorgeous actress very talented and I gotta say her deadpan delivery I kept waiting for her to change but. that. Must have been kind of fun for her to play a character like that. Yeah. She's so good. Emma's amazing. Thailand. Cleopatra Coleman Danny Pudi. We all know Unity Maggie Q that's the core six ensemble film throughout the throughout the film. But Emma Emma's incredible. The movie She doesn't get to do a lot of comedy leaning films and I thought she really nailed it and. She's a strong take away a lot of people see the movie and they're like Kinda Emma's so good in this movie it's. For her she's always said to me she never really saw a comedic actress, but I, actually think that some actors don't even know what they sort of power. They have that they haven't really tapped into, but I've only isn't that interesting because Amazon the line with us. You just heard your great unfamiliar. Yes. Robert I'm the. I'm blushing. Wall we very. Bells with us he is the lead actress, the argument which is out today and It's hard for me to think that you as we just heard Roberts say that you didn't think yourself is comedic because you've got that little dimple on that little smile. I just think that comedy would come Kinda naturally to. Oh. Thank you Yeah. Well, it's funny because I think a lot of times what happens you know I've been I've been acting for a really long time but a Lotta. Times. What happens when you're like a blonde you know girl like is that you just cast was the one like the victim. To be honest to be looking I resume before kind of couple past years I've like I was always like cry and die girl. Oh. That was that was Kinda lame. You know I was just sort of drama the one the like sweet looking one who would always be like sacrifice i. so it Kinda just got into my my mind like okay. I guess is what I do but but yeah, so I was so grateful when Robert was he called me up out of the blue was like I want you to star in this comedy after not really seeing me in a type thing I think you had mentioned Robert that, you love that you don't live performance in that phillies saved by the bell music video we did for for final destination five. And I to give it by the way. I've always been a fan of your work and I've always wanted to work with you. So I was just so happy we had this chance to do it I just. Stayed in touch ever since. Acting like years ago and I just it's nice that it kind of worked out on this on the argument. Yeah No, it was perfect like everything just fell. I feel like the the the gist of that entire film to be honest is that everything just sort of. Fell into place like all the stars align like everyone was into it. We all had a great time. We just it was just a great experience. Well Ama- for me when I heard, you're going to be on the show. The first thing that popped into my mind was I'm sure you get the SALIVAS, the the walking dead, and that's something that can keep you going to comecon until you're ninety years old right. Oh Yeah. Yeah Yep. Yep. That's the goal goal. Yeah no walking dead has been one of those jobs in my life is just. It keeps it keeps giving again a sorta falls under the category of and die because I did cry out and I did I But you know that was such a special show and and you know being a part of the first season. especially I'm I'm so grateful for because we really had no idea what was going to happen with it. It was just sort of this. Experimental bring this comic book to to life kind of shows and We have no preconceived notions or expectation. So we really got to be like with each other and sailing that and then and then yeah, it's just. It does keep giving like I've been all over the world you know meeting fans of the show I went to the Middle East last year for COMECON I mean I've been to Europe. I've been all over the United States obviously and so it's it's just such an it's such a powerful thing to be able to make art and then go to a place and actually like experience other people's. Love and appreciation for art. You know it's It's really wonderful. That's very cool and Robert for you with your in your DNA in your blood, the filmmaking and I think about you as a director, some of the influences from the business but from your family is well, what where did you kind of get your style because you're going to borrow from a few people and then of course,.

"Here. Okay, so last man on earth is a Fox show. Yes, and it originally aired a March first of two thousand fifteen, and they just finished their third season. We have watched all three. Oh. Yeah, so when we're doing this, we're doing at fraud. Sometimes, we just do the I. Suppose we just. We finished all three so It was originally created by Phil. Lord and Christopher Miller that it was their original idea. Okay, I know that I thought they were producers oxygenating. Let's hear it so what happened was they came up with the idea thinking it would be a movie and they talked to will forte. And he said owner no, and he went off with this idea and had a whole thing, and they said take it and run so. So he in one weekend wrote an entire treatment, and then they took it around. Hollywood and Fox ended up picking it up and He was the show runner for the first season and then Dan Sterling took over weight. We'll for to the shore, so he's still he's starring an. He was yes, and he was also the show runner. That's a big interest at a lot of work, but it ends when you're that annoying. That's even more find him. Annoy all my gosh. I love him so much, but he drives me crazy. He drives supposed. You're supposed to drive you crazy. very interesting for me to read about how they fell. Okay, so they do single camera right k. They! No one is supposed to be on earth right except these handful of people, it should be stone silent. There aren't very many animals. There aren't any. Issues, they're trying to record and nuhere cars in the back so I goes. Yes, we usually have a leaf blower. His leave Loris that Ding. Leaf blower does okay, but he's not home yet, so yes using. We're talk fast, but anyway. Yes, Oh, I didn't think about that, but I thought that was fascinating about so they said that was their. That's their greatest. Struggle is trying to have silence and not have cars in the distance or any other narrative about it when you walk outside, you hear all sorts of stats now I know that that they go back and they clean that out, but stuff happens during dialogue stuff happens happens so before we get too far into it I don't know what you mean well. We haven't talked about the premise of the show at all we need to. Can. We talk about the. Well then. You wanted to get that out I. Yes, okay. So the premise of the show when you hear the name westbound on Earth when we heard him second, we didn't talk about the characters. Would don't you want to talk about what the premises we look? Here's the premise. If you don't know who the characters, we have a conflict conflicting style. Yes, go ahead. Let's do the characters I. It'll make me feel better. I concede okay, so will forte. He's from Saturday night. Live right so he plays Phil Miller on. He is Phil. Miller also known as Tandy. And he is the most annoying person on earth I'm. It should be the last I. Most annoying most annoying person honor. Yes, and he's a Co starring with Kristen Schall. Who So? A lie, Bill Richardson. I got of the most I loved her so much on the show. She's out of her. And where does she get the close closer on? Oh, my gosh. But Will Forte wrote the pilot. Okay, sign and throw that in there, so Kristen Schaal Plays Carol. Yes, and we're not gonNA, spoil anything with any of this information, but she's from such fine things as Bob's burgers. She does Shawn Voice. Voice over stuff you hear her voice in everything, yes. That we have January. Jones WHO's from madman? Yes, and she plays Melissa. Yes, and Mel Riding really different on this I hated her on madman. You're not. It's the character and we just Oh, my gosh, it was like get it off of this show, and then here she's great, and I love the evolution with recurring. Yes, I agree so Then there's Mel Rodriguez yes, and he. He's from better call. Saul which loved it. We do that one year we. We if we didn't. We need to all the. We do a new series. We could do a new season. Okay, so better. Call Saul and he plays Todd on here. Cleopatra Coleman She's an Australian. To rephrase it. He plays Fricken Todd on here. He plays frigging that. Can Todd and so Cleopatra Coleman? She's an Australian actress. What she's done because it's all Australian yeah, the shows listed the TV work. She's done. There may have been something recognizable, but most of it was Australian TV plays Erica and then there's gail. Mary Steen Virgil my gosh now. She happens to be married to one of my most favorite people on Earth. Ted Danson. Yes. And I love her. She was great in choosing like back to the future three. No, hello, yeah, step roller amazing! Instead I love stepbrother. And Orange is the new black us. She's tissues, mom, yes, but she's amazing on us. So that's your. That's your main cast. And then we've had some guest stars over. The years have lasted not even whole episode Jason Seductress. I. Don't as as Kristen Wig Kenneth Troy Will Ferrell. All Jon Hamm, my Gosh! Yes, so and Laura dern Yao to name some so anyway. Yeah, so we just wanted to touch on that so now we know the cast of characters and mark. Mother's body does the music. Yes, okay love him love him from devaux details. Devaux and you'll get the gamma. Mostly get again. Yes, all right so anyways, our electric quote. You'll Gabon now. My favorite songs from there I'm going to sing it to you. Don't bite your friend. Yes, I need that. Reminder Riley your friends. Okay, you'll get together. So what do you WanNa talk about now? It's all you. It's all me. Say Okay premise of the show. When you first hear the title last man on her hind, a self explanatory current is then how do we have all these other characters? And that was what because he thinks he's the last man on earth he it took him a really long time to find somebody else, and it did on the show. It wasn't in the first episode that we saw there. There were more people it took. A couple of episodes went around traveled all over the country and put up signs saying alive in Tucson. Yes, now, this is one of my favorite things. If we go back to what happens in the first season. Phil thinks he's really allow and he did. He traveled around the country, putting up in a live in Tucson, but he was also collecting. Ever want so as you see him. In the beginning like he has of course, he moves into a mansion and he's completely crapping it out. And you find out that he's. He's gone for mansion. The mansion once the pool fills because there's no running water. What's he fills a pool? He moves to the next one like a hit another subdivision, but like he's got a t rex head sitting on the dining room table. He's got Michael. Jordan's Jersey that he wears when he liked plays basketball living room. He's got famous works. Art goes from.
