"I'm just talking about as well that I'm sure Kyler Murray's negotiation, whatever the state of play was between he and the Cardinals, that changed a minute every guaranteed dollar was every dollar given to deshaun Watson was guaranteed. I mean, will we ever see a contract? Again, it's not fully guaranteed, right? To have to have a contract given to any player that is the greatest contract in NFL history, never mind one with the sort of damocles hanging over deshaun Watson's head is incredible to a lot of people around the league. But you're right. He changed the business for all great quarterbacks in the NFL. There's no question about it. And I think what you're going to see rich and I've talked to a couple of people about this, I think you're going to see because no one now is going to want to say like your Patrick Mahomes. Okay, we're giving you a ten year deal and it's all going to be guaranteed. All these contracts now, I think are going to be shorter because they're going to have to guarantee the money. And the guarantee system in the NFL in case people don't know is real guarantee you have to put the money up. And so. Clark hunt is not going to say, hey, let's put $450 million. Just not going to happen. So I guess in the minute I have left with you, what's the quick snapshot of Baker Mayfield? I mean, Kevin Stefanski said today once it's done quick. I keep thinking that what's standing in the way with Baker Mayfield is he's got 18.9 million guaranteed basically if somebody picks him up or takes his contract and why would he give up a dime of that? But if your Seattle or your Carolina year whoever and you say we don't even know if Baker Mayfield is going to be our guy beyond one year, we don't know that right now, we would prefer to spend and I'm going to make this up. We prefer to spend 7 million on teddy Bridgewater or someone of that ilk. I mean, we don't, we don't want to pay a guy 19 million when we really don't have any ID if he's going to be our guy long term. So I think that is what's standing in the way of Baker Mayfield right now. Peter king, thanks for the time, greatly appreciate it. You be well. Everyone. No problem, rich, enjoyed it. Thank you. Right back at you. At Peter underscore king, everyone should check out his story. 8 four four two O four rich is the number to dial here on the program when we come back. Okay, let's get into it. I was watching the Oscars last night. You were? Back here on the rich eisen show, 8 four four two O four rich number to dial. All right, I'm watching the Oscars watching it with zan. Watching it with my older son and Chris Rock comes out and my first thought to myself as he's starting to make his jokes with Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz, that they're both up for an Oscar. He can't win the Oscar if his wife loses it. That's kind of a funny sort of husband wife joke right there. You know, and I'm thinking to myself, I'm like, this is the sort of hosting that I kind of miss from this show. And then he makes a joke in the direction of Jada. Smith and as we all know, it was an awful joke. Just terrible. And I think it was ad libbed if I had to guess, like he saw her and I definitely not. We all know she's battling when alopecia. No, we all don't know that. That's the thing. We didn't know that going in. So bottom line is, okay, it is well known for a bunch of people. And he takes a shot at her saying that GI Jane two looking forward to that. And that's a GI Jane. Film is Demi Moore with her head shave. Will Smith laughs at the joke, and then we see his wife rolling her eyes. And then the next thing Will Smith walking up to the stage and slaps Chris Rock and you heard a noise and I thought to myself, was that just part of the gag. That's just a gag, right? As Will Smith goes back to his seat, and then anybody who works in live television knows when a live broadcast dumps out is the phrase that's used in our business where the live broadcast has a 5 second delay in case there's a bad word that said. So if you're ever watching a sporting event and all of a sudden the sound goes out it's because somebody's heard a curse word and they dump out of the sound, but I've never seen dumping out of the sound and the video. They do both for the Academy Awards rich. Well, they do a video now. Yeah, I get it. But what I'm saying is I've rarely seen this happen. And so when you lose the sound and then the pictures start getting funky and then one of the shots that you see is Will Smith mouthing the words and is a sportscaster you've got to be a professional lip reader. Mouthing the words keep my wife's name out of your F and then it cuts out as he's saying mouth and then all of a sudden they take Chris Rock, who's now looking off to the side saying, well, that's the greatest night in the history of television. And I sit there and I'm like, zan's like, what happened? And I'm like, I don't know. I think Will Smith hit Chris Rock. I think he hit him. Why dad? And I'm like, well, you made a joke. Now I got to explain all this stuff, which is the least of anyone's problems. But it's wild. And I just hit Twitter like, what just happened? Will Smith hit Chris Rock on international live television because what Twitter remarkably can do is people turned around the Australian feed that didn't dump out of anything and the Japanese feed that didn't dump out of it. And Will Smith sits back down and screams at Chris Rock, keep my wife's name out of your F and mouth and he's like, wow, you know, Will Smith just slapped the S out of me. And saying, it was a joke. And then here's the ultimate. Everyone's gonna have an opinion on it. Here's mine. Okay. Thank you. Here's mine. Awful joke. Terrible joke, rude joke, beyond the pale. Just falls flat. I don't know what's funny about it. Certainly, since most people know he might not have known about her condition, Will Smith laughs at it and might have had one of those moments where, oh, my wife's not terribly happy about it. But for him to sit there in the front row auditorium of an Oscars auditorium and feel comfortable enough to step up and hit him and sit back down. Is beyond the pale. And I take the point of view from stand up comics and stand up comedy. I'm a former one, you know, from back in my day, I love comedy. I love stand up comics. Stand up comics to be good and successful and for you to go and put money down and enjoy it. You've got to take risks. You have to be risky. And despite how terrible that joke is, you can't go up and hit a comic in the face, slap them. I mean, if you're going to a comedy club, if you're a stand up comic right now, you're sitting there thinking, when I go to a comedy club the next time, is somebody just going to step up and hit me because they don't like my joke or they think I'm you're heckling me or whatever and I make fun of your significant other, but that's definitely happened in random comedy clubs. But again, comics are not happy today about this. Well, they shouldn't be. And then his speech about being a vessel of love that happened a few minutes later when he wins the Oscar. It's just insane. And then he apologized to everybody but Chris Rock, and I understand you're saying he made fun of his wife, but this is beyond the pale. So, I sat there thinking to myself, and I've heard from people who are in the auditorium where they thought it was a gag until he screamed twice, keep your wife's name out of my F and mouth..

"I mean to to you know the so. Many of these are under seal. So you can't state with with with exact specificity where the issue is or what the problem is. But i get the sense that these four. Nfl owners have not yet turned over their financial. Information to the city of saint. Louis if you recall Judge mcgraw ordered the thirty two. Nfl not the thirty two but a select group of nfl owners to turn over their financial data for purposes of allowing the jury at trial to assess punitive damages in four owners have not complied with that court requirement. stan kroenke. I think has complied. Because he's not on the receiving end of a motion for sanction. So at the city of saint louis wants the court to rule on is to find these owners in violation of the court order and as a punishment for failing to comply with court order discovery. The city wants the judge to strike all of their pleadings and enter a default judgment as a litigation. Sanction against jerry jones robert kraft clark hunt and john mara and they are defendants not on every single course of action but they are defendants in connection with the fraudulent misrepresentation claim and the city of saint louis wants the judge to enter final default judgment against these individuals for not complying with the court's order to produce financial records. So what would that mean to the larger case. If he agreed with those sanctioned against those four what does that mean to the bigger case a an enormous impact on it because the main defendants here are the national football league. Stan kroenke the rams there is enough left in the case. Even without. Okay if you if you would have removed from the equation. John mara's robert croft. Jerry jones and robert kraft's financial statements and financial information. That only goes to the issue punitive damages. It is not relevant to the underlying merits of the case. The judge could still impose punitive damages and an award of damages. While i'm sorry let me back up for a second. The jury would would make a determination as to the amount of damages that these four individual defendants would be liable for under. I think it's counts three and four the complaint for fraudulent misrepresentation and maybe even potentially count five sources interference with the business expectancy. But the the crux or the the heart of this lawsuit is on the nfl's violation and failure to abide by its own relocation policy. It's on the unjust enrichment that has been visited upon the national football league in the form of a five hundred and fifty million dollar relocation fee and upon the Upon the rams franchise by virtue of an increased franchise value in going from saint louis to los angeles and under the most recent forbes magazine valuations the city of. I'm sorry though. The rams franchise has increased in value from one point. Five billion dollars in two thousand seventeen took currently four point. Eight billion dollars an increase of over three billion dollars Much of which is likely attributable to the fact that it's in a larger market and maybe the one of the top two markets in the national football league so for purposes of the damages. The city of saint louis wants to recover from the nfl. The rams and stan kroenke the the boatload of it or at least the heart of it is bundled up in trying to disgorge from the nfl. The relocation via five hundred and fifty million and from the rams the awkward increase in the value of the franchise combined. Those two buckets of of damages could easily exceed two billion or three billion dollars just in actual damages alone. And john maher is testament. John marriage financial information craft Jerry jones and clark hunt none of that is relevant to establishing the liability of the national football league cranky..

"What i always try to remind people to is There have been gained without tyreek hill that she still out rated at a very functional above average level. The issue for mahomes is and this is always sort of fascinating to me because we literally only seen it. once kevin. He played in week seventeen. He made his nfl debut in week. Seventeen and twenty. Seventeen with alex smith already clinching. The chiefs their playoff spot. And that game was without travis kelsey since that game every time patrick mahomes been on the field trap skills. He's been on the field. So anytime you ever third nate. As much as i know fans think. Oh my god. That's the fastest guy on the field. Like everybody be aware of him most of the times. The security blanket is travis kelsey. Most of the time the player who's going to dictate the coverage the look. The read is travis. Kelsey because unless you are you know insert incompetent defensive coordinator who's playing single high coverage going around hits said insert whoever you are if you're not playing single high. Which is the dumbest thing to play against the chiefs. Then everything else depends on privacy. His ability to work the middle to run these. These deep crossing ralph's these these ups that he ran when they won the super bowl in twenty nineteen. They're just. They're just mind boggling at his size at a speed and i need to remind folks to trump's kelsey thirty one so at some point is gotta taper off Mccoll harmon needs to have a breakout season in my opinion for this chiefs offense to stay at nuclear levels But i think the biggest keys traps kelsey and you bring up brought twenty seventeen. I mean the alex smith era ended because kelsey got a concussion. Gets titans rather up twenty one three that playoff game And he has to sit out second half they literally don't score another point hit he his importance. I mean he. He's one of the best tight ends in league history and you know there is there is some worry as like he does so many things with his glasses is not a big guy. Raines one of the reasons why the chiefs struggle in the red zone relative out good they are in in between the twenty s is kelsey is not a box out tight and he's a open tight end and with when there's less space like it's just not as effective in the middle of the field like he's the best separator at the position probably history and you know if that if that diminishes even a little bit like you know i. It can hurt dolphins nate. How where. I mean obviously i. Obviously they're gonna beach and read guys brenton us are going to look at other authors and say you know how we can beat. These are match up to it. But how much do you think that they think about kind of keeping that edge and playing chess match to beat a bills or browns or ravens are a reactive proactive. I guess how do they view the rest of the afc. I guess is the question. Let's talk about it because it's a rosser construction that you every year. I think slightly changes. Everything was so in front of everybody's is in february and that it's like let's just improve ourselves. Because we know as eric mentioned as you've mentioned kevin they have the best quarterback they have the best asset in the nfl. Right now one of the fun parts about twenty eighteen and how they were ahead of schedule because mahomes was just incredible. That year was okay. We need to go chase down the patriots. A lot of things were. Hey do we be tom brady. There's this whole notion that You know the patriots played ball control. Brady was excellent for a half in the afc championship game. it's eighteen. They obviously get the coin toss and they win so they had to revamp the entire defense for a rushing attack ball control. You know obviously ability to be more successful in the red zone. As eric mentioned before and in one of the more surprising. These was lamar. Jackson just burst at a impressive clip. They win the number one seed in the afc. So a lotta times your plan for the all season can literally change midway through the next season because teams rising teams fall. They kept everybody back. Similar to tampa bay did after the twenty thousand championship season in the thought process. There was you know. Clark hunt made a in this team. Owner clark cut made a decision that he wanted to win back to back super bowl that they made it clear to everybody in the organization. Let's be with the first team since the patriots of two thousand two thousand two thousand three two thousand four twin back like jeb reaches now. They've obviously reverse course. I think they are aware of the bills. I think they know the bills are chasing them. Similar to how they chased the patriots In twenty seventeen in two thousand eighteen my bond question to ask you fellas. Is that as they built this roster as you understand mahomes deal can always be sort of shifted in the way. The the salary cap is going to go. I just wonder how much can they maintain a average to above average defense. Because of that may be the thing that that i think the. Nfl is kind of wishing for like. Hey maybe tyronn matthew maybe tired man. He's not gonna play an opera level Who knows this chris. Jones experiment works They have to go young pretty often. And sometimes eric mentioned earlier. They have not made the right draft. Picks are those peaks have just not worked out based on scheme or whatever. The situation is on the defensive side of the ball. So the offense. I don't really question because the has really good iran polls Mike broadway front office has a very good field of what andy wants on. Offense is just. How long will these by the defensive coordinator and can they maintain a championship. You know complementary defense before. Or i think you're great question especially in a neighboring this up it's like they. They sometimes draft differently than what spec nola wants defense which is sort of like you look at the linebacker position and like you know ben neiman's like a nice story but like the guys played dime linebacker three years as a broken up pass. You know literally zero. And they've gone out and gotten nick bolton as guys the compliments and they've always almost always preferred anthony hitchens and you know damien wilson's of the world. And you know i. I wonder how congruent that drafting is. What's bagnall noah wants. Because that's really what it is like. Nate's right i i view it a little bit more positively in the sense that a two years from now the anthony hitchens contract frank clark contractor. Probably be off the butts. They can sort of shaped the defense the way they want to. But one of the reasons they went up and got frank clark. They've utterly unsuccessful drafting for for the better part of a decade and and they had. They felt like they had to get an elite guy. There and to me like that is a good question. How you know once matthews gone once you know. Once chris jones may be isn't like john randall. Light in the middle for them. What happens to their defense but it you know and and also how long spags wanna do it. Because i i firmly believe that spagnolo has been an amazing player. Amazing guy for them getting players in positions to succeed when the draft capital or free agent status would not necessarily by okay so first of all spagnuola sixty one years old so at some point over. The lifetime of the deal we can read has told mahomes. You're going to be there for the next ten years that is in the case for everybody on staff. I we will get you both out on this question. What is the number of super bowls over. The life of patrick. Mahomes is contract so the next ten years that you feel is success. The began city chiefs. Nate this sounds low. But i just wanna remind people the numbers to if they get to more to get to more he already has one they get to more over the life of this deal. That is a massive success. And i know folks will say. We'll talk.

"I'm shocked that they haven't gone. Chief charges in wink free as prime time given as a noon slot to me is baffling because it promises to be one of the the games that the i think he's gonna be cracking down. The charges are wise. Play while against the chase. We do struggle with them behind. Struggle with justin habit is very cool. Back so yeah. I'm surprised that they haven't made more of that game. But to our benefit because see weekend the idea of sign might my third prediction. There will be several. And i mean several instances of commentators saying arrowhead stadium as opposed to gerhardt field. Very much to the annoyance of clark hunt happen all of the time and the commentators arguments get slaps on the wrist. Consummate scott hanson is going to get it on red nine. Jim nance is gonna get it. Jarred buckskin gonna get at. All of them are going to be annoyed. He's going to be happening on. Nfl network they going to be sang arrowhead stadium everytime that's about noise they're gonna say arrowhead stadium. You over the chase have changed the name of the stadium officially together hof failed. Ask arrowhead stadium. No one is going to use it. The only times it will be used is when it will come up on graphic and it will say are failed. I can guarantee that this is going to take gays. And i mean years. The people get used to and at that point. Get home rival. Pull their money out because they're not seeing the benefit because no one's using the name anyway now interesting is gay or is it. Ghb because if it's ge ha. I can understand how the commentators will just go to. You know. I don't really want to say. Ge ha failed at arrowhead stadium. Because it's just too much of a mouthful even the way you're saying they're gay Failed our head it. Even i had to think about it then. I'm not used to it yet. So i think a lot of you're gonna call arrowhead. Stadium is just what we've always called isn't it. It's always what we wanted to be. Arrowhead stadium are the my third one is Think some of these are going to be quite schuman's again. I i think snead's actually gonna get five plus exceptions this year. Which is i think. Nazli quite low. I think as a minimum now. I think probably going be looking. At least seven seven would be announced and state safe has signing. Potentially i get five. Seems like such a small amount. Especially when you think seventeen games in what he goes three or four last year was saying and he missed some time as well and maybe like if he's paying on the outside he might get ignored if he's paying that well the to the point where the komax on friday and then they may. They wanna beat opportunities last year and he was playing a inside the slug. It gave him more opportunities to jump in front of bulls and under firm franco's for example. But he has the skill. I i don't think he's outlandish are wouldn't i personally wouldn't slam-dunk 'cause i think anything stat related is a samsung because see you have the added warrior of injuries and etcetera players. Just breaking down side. Yeah i am. You can have that as a slam dunk. And if it doesn't happen the full face fugate because i have as a slam dunk. You don't have that as a slam dunk right okay. the next one is a slam. Dunk go patrick mahomes. Well crack out behind the back pulse. Patrick mahomes will catch more snaps in motion and patrick mahomes will catch at tate. Poss- this year although is gonna come true or all of those have gotta happen may do the full fit. Every single one of them will have to the behind. The back pass is going to happen on. The screen is just going to happen. They are going to work that into the one hundred percent or he's going to run down he's gonna pretend to do with sprint out. He's going to behind the back to travis. Cousy who's gonna release is blocked Catches inside famer shift on a few times summing that will happen. The demotion behind emotion needs to happen more because it was highly offensive and he did get us last year they. They went through patch in the middle of the season where they were using behind market. They used against They didn't know how to defend the remember he gives damarcus robinson they're funded guide around the route and it was executed perfectly but then he kinda went away and we didn't really see again lot seton today again and in mahomes catching it's eighty. Pasta is one hundred percent happening. Because travis kelsey wants to fight policies target care wants to fight policies. I think a free one lasts minds account. Remember one game it was. I think it was the It might have been the patriots game where while Hari killed just locked. A jumbled when we went crazy by saying they're going to be smart with our dining using Dangerous situations that might use it when we go to go and they might see my completely wipe been. Just gimme but ofri them is going to gonna happen this year. I put a house on it behind. The back pass is gonna up one hundred seventy going to happen to nas scenarios talking about waste going to sprint out behind the back. Pass in inside pasta travis. Kelsey no one is going to know where the bullies so basically no way he froze the underhand policies. He's going to be running. But he's going to be a behind the back into travis cousy and everyone's gonna absolutely mental. Can you imagine the meltdown. Yes social media. Can you imagine it. The brady the brady lovers will be a behavioral mahomes again. Chris patrick mahomes from everyone else. Is that everyone can do what he does said. Everyone every call back in the league for a left handed..

"Always talking about the joke in. So they're great group Watergate is and Yes just you being out here. There's just kind of an isolated bubble and it's great to spend time with the guys and you know. Just keep building every day. Can you hear watch. Cnn the hangover mind He's enjoying strong. He's physically smart You know he says his playbook really hard You know it's everyone's communicating up there on the line and He's doing a great job and Yeah just scraping for this group. Cd communication accurate. Now that you've been eleven on eleven passed along yeah Oj's were great to get a lot of reps and a lot of time with With offenses a whole and You know day one out of here. It was well and i think we're building and They're doing a great job. Creed also get us. Playbook a lot and You know patrick knows you know every know so much so It's it's been great talking about the chemistry coming together and getting reps. And i know that this franchise under readers success when guys go down hoover loud. What get into wetland side covered the net right but what has made what what about. How does thanks so successful when guys do go down being able to put it all together. Yeah you always want to be able to play multiple positions Senator guard tackle or You know three and You know. I think coach just do a great job. Coach heck has done a great job of getting guys you know different positions and You know because like you said you know football it's It's a physical game. You never know what's going to happen and Scott have you know the next guy ready to go. And i think everyone room just wants to work together. Work hard and You know just just do the best. They can follow our physical aspect of change in the positions in the different type or the mental side of digesting knowing nice combination. Both i guess I guess it depends on the guy but like for the communication mental. Everyone's talking the whole time. Everyone's trying to communicate. It'll be on the same page and Physically you know there's a little different from each position on the guy s heat. I mean training kids supposed to be you know. We have wonderful hundred sixty degrees today. Feel it offense dripping but you know it's great You know. I know didn't realize this hot. But it's it's It's been great and everyone's just grinding out there and The train staff and always near kiemes well hydrated. And i'm doing a great job and See aspen great though. Aren't doing to source the costs. Yeah you know like. I said earlier being in this kind of being you know here on campus and we spent so much time to get it always talking always palestinian which other explaining. What do you mean by this what you know so just just talking to each other and You know using our collective we own brains to try and you know totally be on the same page and So it's been going well tremendous resonated that you still says as a new hire team you have to prove yourself a little bit. Yeah always you know. I mean you know can't see chiefs were tremendous organization where great guys especially You know recently the success that we've had in her you know yeah super bowl multiple times and I just want to in here and do my role it'd be best. I can be to contribute. Most i can to to this group and You know just excited to be here. And it's been great so far and you know couldn't be happier joining an offense that gender probably four to key to run the football and I think everyone's going to be on the same page in regards to the defense and the blocking scheme and You know i think just comes down to execution and trying to play hard for the whistle and there's You know it's only j. one attorney camp you know. I think we're all trying to get better each day and keep trying to progress. And i'm you know it's a process and yeah mitchell hanging out with typesetting with relief guys opposition. Yeah he's great. He's a great player and You know like. I said especially beyond left side play next to him Always talking about you know. Just what we're seeing out there. How how we're approaching things and Go checks done. A great job of you know giving us great. Coaching points and point in the right direction and So just It's been great playing with them. Anything else thanks guys support.

"Thoughtful laptop. You just heard from clark. And andy reid and now we continue on with chief safety. Charon matthew followed by offensive. Lineman joe tuning. Here's tyrant your contract situation. Now it's going to be a big question here but he wasn't done before the start camp disappointed at all I think most people know me. They know i love the play football So i have another chance to do that. So it's all about my teammates So what about the guys around me. just me continue trying to beat the person i have so and not letting anything outside of that kind of influence you know operate day-to-day today heading the whole team back together. Like you do a whole lot more than than a great day. The first day So you got to work through some things. But i mean it's a blessing you know to to be out here. You know especially canal fans You know to to be able to interact with each other simply each other. You know a team I thank camp is extremely important so I think to a good start. I just be called now. Trains can't things listed. Like i don't know i don't think we'll probably have to Fell out the final matter filling that role for us but we missed cope with for sure. Did you set aside no not really I think most players would like to have things you know done before. They get to the season but like i said I'm all about ball. I love ball so Pork from me to stay focused on that and you know let other things. He's having themselves last tiring. Atari versus you felt like the after. I guess i mean it. Great you know obviously is great work. You know competing against our offense going up against pat Tyreek you know travis Miko we're loaded so requires all of us on the back into really strain on really put working so Like i said we're going to get one of the best office in the league and so every day we work with each other you know. Someone's going to make us better in the point but on the subject can't you set them up and go get just one civilized soon so confident it will get done and is there. Tom or comes to the season at it does get to where you don't get it out. Maybe i mean that's the most important thing is not letting anything become a distraction. Donna thing on my mind right now is getting off to a fast start making please continuing to lead my group. I think anything else takes away from you know who i am. Yes by a huge opportunity for you guys when you learn about and naval about well he's been growing consensus first-day. Ota's you kind of see him growing. You can see him understanding the scheme understanding the players that he's working with so miss a poor family continue to kind of the next couple of weeks to continue to get better within a scheme. And i think he has enough talent. You know thank god can play. You know he's a he's medical punts you know got great ball scale so i think most importantly is all about the scheme understanding. You know where he's supposed to be what he's not supposed to do and then from there is is football. You know the ball. They'll try to make a play abuse. Jerry's much rich. Paul excited her. I mean that's the most important thing you know. I think a lot of guys coming league with with great upside great potential any kind of it kind of fades away. You know I think the most important thing for young guys is to continue to take the next step. I think every year you play in his league kind of requires you to take the next step. What are your twelve year veteran. You know third year player in this league You know so I'm proud of him for the stuff she's been taking Some the practice that they continue to get some extra work so You know he's kind of understanding that he's you know one of our better corners. Then you know he's going to have to kind of lead that group for sure time this talking about mel in light of what's no miles going through that. Pay attention to any of those. Could you speak to this important mental health. Maybe extremely important I think we all have different influences. you know some of us some influence you know spreads far beyond you know the country we live in so and i think most people don't necessarily understand the pressure So you really mostly you pray for those people you pray for the people around them hoping that they can continue to you know. Get the support that they can get but You know i'm proud of her. You know. I'm proud of naomi front all these women who have kind of stepping up Taking that initiative to kind of put you know meant to help i. I think that that is the most important thing for natalie allen. That's what you guys for two years into do this on you. That allows guys to get off those. He's really coach. Our leadership that that that we have From all our coaches you know our coordinators and position coaches Thank all of them. Kind of really strain as they. They stretch us They require us to put in a lot of work. You know before we actually get to that first game and so i think all those things pay off you know the meetings coaches being hand on detail I think all those things work well for us and you know. I think that really helps us. We're one of the best condition teams in the league too. So we run around a lot and i think all of those things help get off to a quick start four that you know everybody on the team position. Talk all on. I mean we for the most part you know every day and probably say you know we talked mostly about where he's gonna stay at when he when he brought a house out here so i kinda suggested to A couple of areas women move into. But i can't stand next to him for too long he he's way bigger than me. So of good to have them around the nate. Close it out your shirt my job. That's fact is yes. But i think it's important for you to of take your job. I didn't understand you playing with ten other people so we all kind of have to work off each other. Help each other Some of us have to do the dirty work guys make plays an and vice versa. So i is not just about your job but it's also about kind of helping teammates too. So that's what my job plus comes up a point to let it right now. The top twenty nine hold. We'd all agree with that here. What is the prime you think for accident lakes. And where do you physically athletically at twenty nine others. I think most of the guys. I've looked up to that. They played in his league time. Rondi bob dion sanders. Charles woodson So you know champ bailey. jonathan's also when i was in houston. He played fourteen years outside. Cornerback that's pretty tough to do so I think for the most part you take care of your body. The plan is leave fix leader for the guy but so what do you want to get out of this. You tell your we'll see how the guys come along with me. I don't think it's all about me. Making all pro look valued a couple of other guys in my room to to kind of be all pro via pro bowl or even be a household name. Guys want to see them play every sunday. I think that's the ultimate goal for me That's patrick peterson. Provided for me Just that vision to to to to be special to be great no matter what people think You know so. I see that for those guys that we had a couple of guys in our room that that can really be all frozen solid. But he's up to those guys to believe in that putting tyrod. Hello everybody about the chemistry. What lady salons greg group You know hang out off the field and locker room.

"Why up here and we've got new faces. That's what's so unique about the national football ever years different. And so you you build this saying. This is the foundation of it and you kind of work from here. So i expect to see that from the defensive side just just like the office of side. Let's Get to know each other. No the man next year no his job and responsibility to everybody else's job responsible and most of all your job responsibility. Let's go play games per day. Just guys yeah. So yeah really. It's just what you said. He's more comfortable in the defense. The scheme he's worked very hard at that so we look forget. Thanks from willie. Off for every category ripping and recognize related. What the vendor. Both as we can get better at I mean those are a couple spots that we can work on which we have and they all season. We'll continue to do that here so They work in well-balanced you know being able to do when you want to do them against Whatever mismatch you can create is the important one year. You said different every year. We come out day one this year. What were you looking for what you want to see from this team wants to see you wanna see execution especially when you before you get pads on one install is in. Let's see let's the execution whether it's chefs emotions. The snap count. let's see that. Let's make sure we're not going backwards. We're going forward a stay outside on the defensive side when the staff counts a little bit longer than the first sound so and then assignment football on the back end along those lines of cancer looking forward to this year. Maybe it's really tradition. You're getting back to this year. The weren't able to do last year. I always get fired up with the seven-man sled breaking it out. I pads school football. And and then we go from there. Were from call on league. He's ready for bigger workload. That's what you guys out. Yeah i like mccalls work that he put in this off season way handled himself. I like the way came out today. And what he did here. I i look for good. Thanks so up. Sure you've been judge base monday. That the tally as long as sincere early groups on it might want this. I mean that's if you're taking steps back that's problem so you shoot yourself in the foot. It's a that becomes a problem similar mentality to the game of the camp. Yeah the yes i do. I mean there's a there's a certain foundation that's been built over time here and you bank on that up to ask about a couple days ago talking about the giving said that he didn't get a chance to sing with patrick. Mahomes vance how. How important is it or or maters overrated the idea. Those guys get most russell awesome. Yeah no i mean. I think that's important. He'll keep getting better as he goes here. This will be a big camp for so deal happening right now about this season off. He knows he. He said it when he came here. I just wanna play. That's where he's at. He loves it here. He just wants to play. Thank you thanks.

"What is your reaction to question your reaction to all the news about being electorally. Told he's not the right to work. Yeah so listen. I'm a big eugene chunk fan. So i think he's brilliant and he's a good football coach she didn't i a helping doug get roll trophy And so And he's real. I mean he's going to say what he says. And or is that you know we're in this right now and we've gotta get we gotta get through it and everybody's got to pick it up together so there's been a lot on On the topic of racism. And and i always feel blessed to be in the national football league. Where it doesn't matter you come together and you play and Probably the next thing Like that war. I mean you really don't care who's the foxhole. He's gonna make sure that you guys are all working together For a cost. And that's what we need to get As a country. And i think that's probably what eugene was saying. Let's just bring it together. It doesn't matter what color you are. let's bring you together. We all have our issues. But let's let's work through it quite rhythmic clock on monday and he said i'm sorry your feet of her from the head coach is leading specifically mentioned you. You offered him support for you to this. Oh you guys. And i've talked i've eugene played for me and and coach for me and And so we talk all the time and it's not always about that. I mean that's one of the things we talk about. But listen he was put on the spot a bit out there and he. He said what he said and he was real with it. And so You know people take different sides and how they approach it. But i think he's bringing light to it and and that can be positive long-haul days ago said the aussies. He's watching film of guys like ben laboratory. Thomas john ryan guys who wasn't a year that well he loves the game and so he goes back and he studied as a positive to do that. But it gives them an idea of how we how we roll here and He's blessed have a great coach. And andy heck who played fourteen years in the national football league. So he's got that first hand experience at his position so he he's in. He's in a good spot right now. He knows that and he's willing to work. That's what it tells me. He's willing to cover cover all the bases as he goes. Do just wanna see these first few days before you know what defense as a team. We gotta come together right..

"Matthew i wanna play football for you as an owner. Would that be voted. The contract is well tyrants ultimate professional and really has been his entire career in the league in indefinitely during his couple years with us I know he's going to be at. Its very best this year. I've heard tire and say that he would like to extend his career in kansas city. And we feel the same way about that. Hopefully that will work out. The timings obviously uncertain processes ongoing. Probably say but when it comes to ira coaches our overview around the scouts. Thanks how do you have. Amy specifically individuals my background. Yeah well philosophically. I let the leaders within our organization hire their staffs whether that's mark donovan on the business side Bread with the scouting saffir. Andy with his coaching staff That's something that's really up to them. I'm obviously aware of who they're hiring. But i let them make the decisions in your phone away. His tiny power with a situation. Yeah i. I've not had a chance to speak to frank about it There's obviously a legal process there. At some point. The nfl may may get involved as well. We'll cooperate with the league on whatever they need to spend. Obviously you guys do on. Trial made sure that has zero. Yeah that's been a real focus of the league over the last five to ten years And in fact it led to a requirement that teams have the appropriate resources. Both internally externally Her coach read mention doctor Who we brought on a couple of years ago. He's a great internal resource for our players. And it is something. I think we have to be more cognizant of as an organization that maybe ten or twenty years ago. You got your back and say joe this year obviously ever not having. What do you think. The team gained energy wise. You from getting away from kansas city being here the guys you know. Talk about What they believe that game by being here is a team. And the and it's basically the bonding experience that you you have a training camp You can obviously get the work in just as easily in kansas. Says you can't hear but you can't replace spending three weeks dormitory eating all your meals together. I think that's really valuable for bringing team together. And we have a number of new players this year Particularly on the offense line. So i think the chance to be here at camp is really going to benefit that unity and the entire team. Look in your crystal ball. Can you predict going to be like. Are we going to be able to pack the stadium in kansas city own different areas. Yeah well some that. I've learned over the last eighteen months is it's very dangerous to try to look into the crystal ball because things change very fast route. We're seeing that right now. We're definitely planning on having a one hundred percent. Pass david at G. h. field this fall But you know. It is a dynamic process and we'll work with the health director in kansas city. Like we did last year sort of Disappointment and the number of vaccinated players he had guys mars threshold over on that process. Just said when asked the question about letting your leaders that role. You're there try. What was your message to. Andy and bret hart how you wanted to approach machinations on his. Yeah well I wanted to say at the end of the day. It's an individual decision as to whether they want to be vaccinated obviously the nfl working in conjunction with the players association has come up with protocols and they're different for vaccinated and unvaccinated players. And there's no doubt that it will help the teams that have higher vaccination rates. I think your your chances of maybe losing key players or losing physician groups throughout the season will be diminished. I at the end of the day. It was really a function of our team leaders Not so much. The coaching staff or red feet but You know patrick mahomes and other leaders on the team encouraging their teammates to get back. I think that's why we have such a high vaccination rate off woman the backup of your saint joe and fans. Fear is not necessarily the same as also new over there with a better vantage point house. Johnny cash back provided more. Yeah well first. Of all i would say. We really appreciate the enhancements. That missouri western has made over the last couple of years in anticipation of us. Coming coming back for training. Camp in this berm is one of those and I know the the players and coaches appreciate the work that was done in in the dorm dormitories as well. And it's so great to be able to have our fans back at training camp I can think back to my experience as a kid coming from camp with with my dad. Just how special that is and so it was great to see somewhere between three and four thousand of our season ticket holders here day enjoying train training camp and as i said earlier about The games as fall. Hopefully we're gonna be able to be at a hundred percent When we get back to g h field. Welcome back as far as injuries go We've got a couple of coverage here so darwin thompson and winchester. They're both in the covert protocol. We'll just see how they finish up here. Leak herring as Acl nikai back spasms along the tibia making good progress and that's it Tweaked his hamstring. Just a little bit today. Go to get the guys back. Then they great energy and We look forward to working with all the new guys up here. No more condensed work and And media scheduled for that time jerusalem law here so yeah you're probably get back at some point we'll just see how he does here Very similar to what Sorenson had a couple of years. Go into camp the heat i also make sure guys hydrated and test them prior to and after the and then we continue to give them water breaks during practice And even if it's in between even join a series you know we get number applies guys. They'll run in and give them a little water off. Nevo consistency done a nice job. I mean not that. It's our percent perfect young guy but Showed enough to legitimately be in that position for right now and then he's got to compete so we'll see how that goes but we get them kisser. Your got lady like birds out to the pressure got. You're ready guys such expectation that actually the old straight championships. You noticed that. Is that something you have to focus on their relieving pressure. Got all your past. Yeah so i listened to the league does a great job at talking about that with us. they've got films that we went through yesterday with it actually And then we keep a close eye. Doctor t. here who's fulltime staff and he meets with every player throughout the year. So and his door is always open. So we we keep that Nobody's too big Not to step up and say listen. I got problem. We've all got him. My hat goes off to the young lady man. She's a she's a beast stud absolutely. So and she'll she'll be better for when it's all said and done and that's the most important thing quick questions here about one of your former players. Sixty eugene show..

"Day in and day out and that's exactly what i'm gonna do okay before we run a few minutes from joe ellis and joyless. Thanks a lot of people off. The top is excited about fans back training camp again gates open at eight thirty know autographs this year because of kobe. But it'll be good to see fans back at training camp. And is he said back in power field my high and before we even get a question about ownership joe Head things off at the pass. So i'm gonna let you hear that then the couple of questions from ryan o'halloran of the post. There's a mike klis question. And then i follow up mics question. So you'll hear that entire little exchange here from joel. Ellis right off the top through his answer to my question obviously recognized in addition to questions you might have about the team or the organization. You're going to have some about where things stand with ownership and regarding the dismissal of the lawsuit. I'm sure you're where we cannot comment on that specifically do to some confidentiality considerations so i'd simply defer to the public order judgeship yonne issued a few weeks ago and let that speak for itself and as importantly looking ahead to the future. I would tell you this. I said in a brief statement a few weeks ago We want a. Our goal is timely responsible and orderly determination of ownership and what that will entail for us. There's some things some things that we still need to work through but our goal is to be able to lay out when the season is over and vickers promise it that'll be in the middle of february that we lay out for everybody a time line to a transition of ownership that will take place next year prior to start of the season. That's important it's important to the organization. It's important to the beneficiaries. A- pat's children to get resolved and we're moving forward on that we're team is not for sale. There are few auctions out there as to what we can do. And you probably aware of those but We're going to get through this season. Our goal is to focus on and have a good year and hopefully be competitive and be around for the postseason tournament. Once that begins. And that's where our focus is so until the season's over you're not gonna hear a whole lot about the future of ownership of the team so we'll take a few questions you came with your dare They're fine with that. I i've had probably. I would say almost monthly meetings with roger goodell in a form of a phone call or actually went to new york several times and just met with him a week ago sunday and main his summer home back there and i went up and saw him and kind of laid out from the plan and He seemed executive acceptable to it. He was fine with it. Actually and had some discussions with the members of the finance committee specifically clark About what our plans are. So we're okay on that front well ownership will be concluded. We'll have a we'll have a transition yours truly won't be controlling owner by by the time sometime in the spring or early summer. I i can't put an exact light on it but believe me. We need to get it. Resolved to take trout inside. Well i i can't really comment on what you know what transpired other than the order itself. But the nfl wasn't a party to this. This was between some beneficiaries of the trust trustees. So that's as much as i can say on. Joe deniro all those questions with britney bowl and where is she stand. Is she still in position to possibly take control the team. Yeah she's working hard and adding value and a lot of different areas And i'm i'm conversing with her all the time we have weekly meetings and and you know in in some form her being able to run the team a consideration for sure it will require some some conditions from beneficiaries and others perhaps but if she is going to run it that conclusion will be drawn will be made sometime next year as well. So that's one of the options for sure. As i said there are certain conditions that come with that. And i'm not comment too much on those because those involve discussions with other beneficiaries and those are private in my view. I guess piggybacking on what might just said oh or little. You said their options. Can you kind of lay out. What can you lay out. As far as what options are out there beyond the team is always possible. Obviously and and that's one and then and then if it's going to stay in the family britney's the really the other option but there. There are certain as i said conditions that will go with that and they come in various forms so they might be one or two other kind of captions within that option that makes sense just. He put a cap on all this. Joe did reiterate that the team is not for sale. And if you're having a hard time understanding kind of all of the stewardship and trust the trustees i get it. It's confusing but essentially league wants a single owner however there are exceptions e mentioned. They could ask for a waiver. Norma hunt is lamar hunt's widow and i want to say as clark hans mom. I think she's cons mom but she technically owns the chiefs. Clark hunt runs the chiefs and the league is fine with that. Just like virginia. Mccaskey i think is still with us. Doesn't run the day-to-day the bears anymore. But she is still technically the bears owner and same with dan. Rooney's wife are ruining the seconds. Mom still i think technically owns the steelers and art renew second runs it so it would. Just be like if stan kroenke down. The road doesn't run the team because he's incapable too old. Whatever just doesn't want to still owns it. But josh kroenke would potentially run it almost certainly will run it so britney bowl and it's a little more complicated between pat bowlen's siblings and then britain bolan siblings. They all kind of have to sign off on being charged in joe. Even alluded to more siblings could still be in the mix which means the one of the sisters from bats. first marriage specifically bath could also be involved. Johnny bolan in theory could be involved. Britney's little sister annabel could be involved in some form of fashion. There could be more cooks in the kitchen. If you will. They will have to kind of all agree that britney gets run play. People think that's unlikely and that the two older sisters basically going to say yes on anything that let's brittany run it. Let the team self worth three and a half billion dollars give or take. Let there be a single owner and then the ball and family will get a small ownership percentage probably on the backside five or ten percent. So let's just pretend mark cuban jeff bezos. They end up owning the team and the bowl and still have their ownership. Swedes probably different than they. Currently have And you know we'll get a ring if the team wins and all that but it and they won't go to owners and more and they'll just be a minority owner just like The minority owners say of the washington team like rhetoric w. smith the founder fedex whose son arthur is now the head. Coach of the falcons You know he or stan kroenke when he was minority owner. The rams right he got a super bowl ring and he owned forty percent of the team or thirty three percent of the team. But georgia frontier was the majority owner so we'll see all plays out joyless did say that he will continue to stay with the organization until the ownership is settled so other that's brittany and any combination siblings With britney really running it or soldier new owner. You will stay on as long as necessary but the plan is to have ownership settled the future owner whether that's sprinting bowl. In or someone else settled by the spring and if they put the team up for sale obviously plenty of people will bid on a marquee franchise like the broncos. There's certainly people that could buy it outright on their own as well as plenty of people that could get a group together to buy. But it would happen. I bet pretty fast. Just like the carolina sell happened pretty fast. When david tepper who was a minority owner of the steelers was able to put the group together. But i i think he almost owns it. Outright the panthers because he's billionaires his own right so it'll be pretty fascinating but if you want to see more of that you can check everything out on the denver broncos website and we all have stuff on our website as well so i appreciate you. "I think they're gonna to no white to do what they can. Now like i said earlier and then adjust as dimond bono. Not not democracy demands probably the run words as they probably become. Come more into focused once our teams. The one thing that i have not is the teams had to change. The names have been because of the logo. The half washington obviously changed the redskins because of the logo but had native on the nine the name. Well yeah yeah it was. Also it seemed to be almost triggered by the the logo itself and obviously the cleveland indians on is very much a caricature of an intimate as well. Which was a challenge. The challenge on the redskins will washington. I think washington. The main reason i changed was not necessarily the logo. I think it was the night that that that was the big thing. I wanted to change the name. And obviously the logo then come with it and indians. I don't know enough about the indians to to possibly. Because i'm no baseball guy. I hope i'm really obno- of hats. The word royals from twitter because the mind is how bad is the royal. How about every day. I wake up to be about the royal. So i just had to use the word royalism. Sorry missing the queen news and everything. So i couldn't really comment on the cleveland indians. I can only probably come in on the nfl. 'cause that's why For that closely. But it's probably something we should leave there because as a sensitive subject. Some people get riled up about. He's compensation should happen. People should told by this Because tokens the only way you get things done and instead of being outraged have a conversation with seven lonzo and then Then you get everyone else viewpoints in you can understand the situation a little bit better. I just one thing on it to bring up. Actually i wanted to congratulate the milwaukee books. Now you're kind of score in basketball. But the milwaukee books for winning the nba finals after fighting back over overturning. It's two-game deficit too. Big expense to series win bush. It seems that tom has been an issue. Not something especially in particular a tradition in american sports. Which when you raise their thought. Yeah why do they do that. In light of what what you know. I think you will find the first of all. Congratulations to the milwaukee bucks. You've been the best team in basketball for the last four years and this tunnels over j well done what on the honest you deserve. The eareckson finally sons four. I can just go away and disappear but american sports and all american support because ice hockey doesn't do this but why do owners lift the trophies. Fast why just. I don't either even when clark hunt on done it. I just don't get it. Yes i understand that they own the team. They hired the gm they hire the coach and they pay for stuff and everything but as fans we do not cheer on owners. We can players in england if an owner come up ahead of a captain of a football team to lift the trophy. After winning the premier league or the fa cup there would be violence. Is stan kroenke. Come off ahead of paramount obama. Lets the fa cup and see residents. Twenty and numerous would have been burned down. I think we lethal like i. Just i just don't get it if there was a reset button right now and you could go back to whenever and you had the choice right back to two thousand twenty and it was the first ever super bowl. Everyone and you turn around and you give people the option right. Who do you want to lift the trophy. Patrick mahomes andy reid or clark hunt to lift the trophy. How many people are going to choose. Clark hunt to lift the trophy night's either end erato punch homes have much of a john's going gonna be patrick why because players carry energy and there should be energy involved trophy whenever owners do is just so boring. It's sap saudi the arena. It's just not the same. Like i remember jordan henderson. When they won the champions league you cut guy liverpool. He picks up the trophy. He stands in front. Let's say he holds it by his ankles and gives it who'll shaken the trophy checking traffic and then around and does the massive trophy left and fireworks a fans go crazy players. Go crazy as bubbly everywhere. When did you get that in american sports. You just don't get it. I agree with you. I completely agree with what you're saying. I just sorry to run. I am so it's around. But i saw this the other day and i have this opinion every single time i see are always go off on a minute. I'm glad to finally got the platform to save this society. Say it's tradition tradition so changed tradition. We're just talking about changing team. Names and brand names. We can change lisa trophy. So this is my invitation to you clark on when the chiefs win the super bowl. The second sunday february next year. Yeah and whoever is who's got the broadcast. Cbs no fox again. Whoever if it's yeah harry bradshaw On his trophy. I won't clock on to move to the side. I got come on pat you on this and let let patrick mahomes do the trophy lift. Because it'd be more exciting watching him do it. As opposed to clock conscious very gently knock..

"Your CBS Sports radio. We share an office with W F A N Yeah, I'm okay, man. Happy Memorial Day. He's like, thanks so much. You had to work. I was like, Yeah. And I'm a veteran, too. So that gentleman thank you for your service. And to all of you, Thank you for your service. I've told the story on the radio before I won't do the whole thing. But I'm not a jewelry guy to the quick version. My name is William Joseph writer. I'm named after my my paternal grandfather, Obviously paternal. And he was a farmer in Iowa, whose parents and all his his father, grandfather, and I believe great grandfather had all died before the age of 50. And so grampa believed, certainly that was going to be his lot in life. Anyone to the depression? So he was a pretty good poker player. He's like my brother. My brother has 100 of thousands of dollars playing poker and television tournaments. And I've won thousands of dollars that sort of like the range of difference, and Grandpa decided to sell everything that he owned, went to the local poker game in Cascade. Iowa, was up Iowa. There's a writer road there, by the way, if you ever there and wanna check it out, you'll see soon enough. Why did I do this? And I said the same thing, and it's named after my family. I'm with you. And he played a poker game and bought the ring That's on my finger because he wanted to before he enlisted. He wanted have something beautiful on if he if he passed away, thought he would thought he wouldn't make it served under Patton. Very long story was withheld from some major battles because the officers want to come play poker with them. That's part of the reason that he survived. Came back to United States. Like so many of the greatest generation, right serve this country saved Western civilization. You you know that the whole thing Now Grandad served in Europe and parts of the Pacific. As I understand it and liberated. I don't think he liberated was one of the first Americans to a concentration camp and never really never really talked about it. And the only thing I really know about his service because he didn't speak about it very much is that he had this ring on his whole life. We did. I didn't know the story until he died. It passed away. Ironically, my first day that I moved to L A from from the Midwest. And he made his four sons, including my father. Play a poker game for this ring because he believed that the ring had become this lucky talisman, right? This This thing that carried into the war got him back to United States. He worked hard as a hog buyer. I'm not for my own Matt's, You know, it's part of the deal. Met my grandmother. As the story goes, was from a you know, grab. It was lower middle class. Grandma was middle class. It was like Hell, no, I think great grand on the other times like I don't know about this guy. Grampa marries. My grandmother has seven beautiful kids. I don't know how many cousins I have. I should know 55. I'm not really sure. Sorry, causes some of you. I don't think I've seen in 10 years is too many of us and made and believe the ring was the reason that he made it through made again. The four sons play a poker game and my dad and I love you, Dad Hope Dad's not listening. Don't get so mad this but I would not describe my father's an amazing man. Hard worker grated a lot of things. I just don't know if I describe poker as among his top skills. And apparently bluff with a parent, too, because he thought it was funny. And I'm sure they were all grieving. And you know, crippled my uncle and won the ring and then gave it to me. I'm named after my grandpa. So I have this Constant reminder to what everyone sacrificed right who served this country those that made it back. And those that didn't so the police believe me when I say I appreciate you thoughts and prayers of all of you and thank you so much for your service, so I'm a huge This is just the deal. I'm a Patrick Mahomes fan, and I'm sure some of that is because I spent a large chunk of my career and life in Kansas City, Missouri, working of the cancer the Star. I didn't cover the cheeses. A beat writer day today at a different job, right, sort of parachuted in road stories, but I spent a lot of time around Clark Hunt. Ah lot of time profiling some of the folks who ran or work to play for that organization. And as much as covering the NFL will will piss you off of your report because they're difficult. That is an impressive that she's organization is impressive and well run. And like a lot of organizations like a lot of fan bases out, they're deserving of some greatness and glory. But they were a joke. They were hapless. They want a generation without winning a playoff game. Until then, Really. Alex Smith start to turn that around. But it's Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid's under his tutelage who has changed the very concept of what the Chiefs can be, so I'm I'm all in on the homes. He's a nice guy. He's a likable dude. He's obviously remarkably transcendent talent. Normally when anybody and I mean anybody, but anybody will go out there and proclaim themselves the seekers of some kind of all time. Great glory. I would roll my eyes, but I'm bleach report. Had a different reaction. When Patrick Mahomes said this The only record I am I said, I'm breaking, which should be any new this year doing 20 and zero Okay, It's not a That's not a really record. Be.

"Glad you could join us on a cloudy Friday. It's a little cloudy out there so glad you could join us by the way coming up here at the top of the hour. In masses. Democrats are getting their vaccine shots, but Republicans or not, I'll explain. We're gonna have Dr Don von Ahn, who helped lead a study about this, It is it is daunting, so we'll talk a little bit about that. And then coming up a little bit later in the program. Here's an interesting story. We'll try to get to in a little bit later today, but I want to mention it. Officer Shall then he's the guy who basically murdered George Floyd. He's the guy who put the knee over George Floyd's neck when George Flood was pleading for his life. Well, we are learning now and this is unbelievable. But I guess not surprising in the days after that horrible incident. Officer shall burn in his attorneys were going to plead guilty. He was willing to spend at least 10 years in prison for what he did. His attorneys were Getting together with Officer Shall Vin former officer shall then you'll never be an officer again. Thank God They were willing to plead guilty. But guess who stepped in? Guess who stepped in and advise them not to do so in screwed everything up Attorney General Bar That's right for for years. He was Donald Trump's Personal brownnoser attorney. It was Attorney General Bar and when Bar was asked about this attorney general Bar, said that he didn't want to upset people. His people might think it was too lenient. Let me tell you something. Ladies and gentlemen, Attorney Bar might have could have saved a lot of people a lot of grief. Now I know there might be a lot of people out there. I think that officer shall been deserves more time, the electric chair and I don't think they have that anymore. But lethal injection, the rest your life in prison. That's not gonna happen. It's never going to happen. He was willing to plead guilty and spend up to 10 years in jail. And Attorney General Bar stepped in. That's right. America's former attorney general stepped in and said No, no, no. How about that? Ladies and gentlemen, we're gonna dive more into that little bit later in the show, but it is so maddening to me. It is absolutely ridiculous, by the way. We talked briefly about the Kansas City Chiefs and coach's son who got involved in that deal. I crashed that my understanding still has a four year old girl in a coma, ruined a family. I told you last week that the Kansas City Chiefs were absolutely complicity. They should have fired him on the spot. They waited till after the Super Bowl like cowards, and then they suspended him. Well, now it's official. He is officially off the payroll, and he will not be working. Probably ever again with the chief's. It took them this long to do that, because they are just cowards with no spine. Absolutely, and positively disgusting that it took them this long. It's a joke. I'll tell you why they did that Brian because they wanted They didn't want to make a massive announcement and a big stink before the Super Bowl. They wanted to wait until the Super Bowl was over, because that's more important to them than doing the right thing. That's what it comes down to. Winning a football game is more important to them than doing the right thing as an organization what they should have done on the spot after they saw that, and I'm not saying you're wrong. You're probably right. But what I'm saying is I disagree with but a massive distraction. I think it was a massive distraction already. You're not gonna make it a bigger than anything, but I mean, having having a coach having the sons are having a son of the head coach. Just fired on the spot for being involved. He deserves in in a drunk driving accident. He deserves it, where he almost killed a four year old girl. When it would have been a huge time saying from their perspective, that's what they're I think that's and that's why, and that's my Dwight Clark Hunt and the Hunt family made the decision that they did and which which I actually I do disagree with, but I see why they did it. Well, I disagree with it completely wholeheartedly, because all they're thinking about his coach Reid and all they're thinking about is their team rather than what's right and what's wrong so they can go F themselves As far as I'm concerned, the people I will never root for the Kansas City Chiefs ever again unless I have money on the game that I have to, unfortunately, But I will never reach for this team ever again. The way they handled this situation. Listen, it has nothing do with pappa homes. It has nothing to do with 99% of those in the organization. Not their fault rights, not Andy Reid's fault, but the fact that they kept him on the payroll and then they suspended him. And now all of a sudden they're saying, OK, you're off the payroll is a disgrace. But anyway, we also do a bit of an investigation as well. The didn't need to be an investigation because he already admitted that he was drunk. There's no need to be an investigation. He was drunk. He's ruined a family's life. And I hope this four year old girl this poor four year old girl gets gets through it. Okay, but it's not looking good anyway. Let's talk a little bit about Governor Steve Sis select for a moment. I've criticized Governor Steve Sis like and by the way, I don't care whether you're Republican or a Democrat. And I hate people that go after Steve Cecil Act because he's a Democrat, but the defendant, Donald Trump for four years, those people have no credibility. I'm not attacking Steve Sis select because he's a Democrat. Just like I've never attacked Donald Trump because he's a Republican. But I'm very frustrated with Steve Sis like, but let me first give you some of the information that was put forth yesterday. If you're unaware, Steve Sis like had another one of his press conferences and an update on on Cove. It's so let's talk a little bit about that. Here's what Sis elect governor Sis elect said. Or I'd like to come. Governor, Sister Here's what he said. He said Starting Monday, February, 15 businesses will be allowed to increase to 35%. 2 50%, based on fire code, occupancy, said public gatherings and events will be allowed to be held up to 100 people. Event planners will be allowed to submit large gathering plans to health officials. No large scale public events will be allowed to resume until at minimum March, 1st Now, here's the one that really ticks me off this because this doesn't make any sense and what I mean by ticked off, Let me explain restaurants and bars, he said, will be allowed to operate at 35% indoor capacity instead of the 25% indoor capacity. Okay, First of all, Can you picture a restaurant owner right now? That is operating at 25% capacity That's doing a head count that all of a sudden says Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Thanks to Governor Cecil AC. We get an extra table. Let's put those four customers there. I mean, that's not gonna happen, Okay? It's just ridiculous. But moving on. This guy's an absolutely understand energy. Can I Brian restaurants can't make money. With less than 50% capacity. It's basically impossible. That's not true, because there are some restaurants that are doing to go. They're still making money. I'm staying inside inside dining, but they still can operate. Make money, though they are a lot of them are especially the bars which have gaming, so I mean, I'm just telling you, that's not true. There's a lot of bars that are making money 25% or 50% or 35%. They're still making if you if you factor in the gaming, but I'm saying on the food with with all the costs involved of them that are going to go where they need 50% capacity 35% to 25%. Is a complete and utter joke, and you're right. It's maybe one table if that's actually probably less than one table because you mentioned have capacity of I think, 50 to 75. If you go from 25% of 35%, that's like that's like seven people or six p. He mentioned things that were a little strange to me. He mentioned libraries, museums, art galleries and acquire him. Zinzun was doing that. Well, let me just explain what he said. He said. They'll be among the first types of businesses that will be allowed to return to pre statewide paws. All right, So let me let me let me go over. Let me go over this for a second. Obviously my issue has never been closing things down and waiting until things get better, and people get their vaccine and the virus goes well. My issue has never been closures..

"The phone lines open taking your calls on Patrick Mahomes 855212. Or C. B s. Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt. He just He's glowing about the early career success that Mahomes has had He actually compared it. So Michael Jordan. He says I am more early success than Michael Jordan. Okay? Yeah, True, but I don't know if I'd condom. For us compare sports there. But there's no doubt that Patrick Mahomes the success that he's had early on in his career first full season playing M V p the next season. Super Bowl here we go back in the Super Bowl. It's unusual. This is this is pretty damn amazing. And we know he has to stay healthy. But I don't see this ending up like an Elway where he has to wait later on for the success. I don't think we'll get a gap. I don't believe he will have the Marino I don't know if you'll get six. I doubt that. But I believe that he's healthy pretty much. He's just getting started without a doubt. What are your thoughts on Patrick? My homes and the success that he has had so early? Is it something that you think continues on Do you think the best is yet to come? Or do you think right now Because of the parity in the NFL? Do you believe this is as good as it's going to get Be a hell of a stretch. If he continues like this 855 to 1 to four CBS, we have Berman. He's on the lawn calling from Charlotte Berman. You want CBS Sports radio. What do you say? Even J r. Always pleasure to talk to you. Hey, I just think it's just early in the game to predict. This young man's career in me. Maybe you just said a minute ago that You know six to be it. Maybe that'd be a strict I forget your exact words, but But he'd be lucky to get My point is Ladies 20 years into this So what? Just Let it play out. There's so many variables, injuries. Coaching staff parody as you mentioned. Um You know other other superstars that come about Lamar Jackson could come. Could make a run in the sea again, huh? So no There's so much young talent out there. Sure. Well, that zah point Berman you you made valid points there. That is the point. There are so many variables and we don't have to look at just Tom Brady's career. We can look at a damn near 20 year career. Of anyone who has played and we see how difficult it is and has been. You can look at a Drew Brees. You can look at a Marino. You can look at an Elway and based on that, knowing how difficult it is, but also looking and seeing The obvious talent level of Patrick more homes. You know, if he's healthy, you can take those variables into account. And would you believe that this is the best of it? What do you believe? You know his career might be pockmarked. I don't think he'll be go. I think Tom Brady is the goat. And I just don't see it happening again. It's okay. It's possible it could happen again, OK, because I'd be ignorant to think you couldn't but we have not seen another Michael Jordan. So while this is Tom Brady? Well, sure, Berman. Absolutely. And thank you for calling from Charlotte. You know, I wasn't asking if you'll be the greatest or best of all time. I was just asking, and I thought I was clear My apologies if I wasn't if we have seen the best of Patrick Mahomes Is his early success sustainable? No, I don't believe he's going to go out and win 10 consecutive championships. No, I don't believe he'll win six. How do you view all things considered health health? Obviously at what does he do? Not if you'll be the greatest and I love the point that you brought up. We've never seen another Michael Jordan correct and we will not We'll never see another Tom Brady. Correct. We will not Emmitt Smith made a great point earlier on in the show here, he said. Yes, As long as human beings air here, their records are made to be broken. If I broke it, then someone can break my record. It may not come in my generation and may not come in yours, but yeah, ultimately someone will likely cross it. And he is the beautiful thing. This is part of the discussion. People make their own legacies. It's so easy right now in the error and the time that we live in to look at legacy and equated Two championships or strictly two rings. You need this many rings to cement your legacy as the best of the greatest. I can argue and have argued that Tom Brady as we know he is the most accomplished. But is he the greatest Is he the best if you put him in the quote unquote quarterback lab and lined him up next to a Rogers or Marino or anybody over the course of history of Peyton even in his own generation. If you put them in the quarterback machine, make a quarterback. What? Tom Brady just be the best. All things considered. Or is he the best because of his talent, plus his accomplishments? I think it's zah two way street here. You can't just say one without the other. Mike is cool enough from Illinois. Mike, you are CBS Sports radio. What do you think about Patrick? My homes. Do you think he can kind of keep up this run? What's that they are So I actually think the best is yet to come for Patrick Mahomes. Obviously it's curly, so All signs are headed to the right direction. Because he came into the ever since he became the starting quarterback for the Chiefs. He has made it to the playoffs and have progressively got better. Even saying he had one of the best quarterback of all time going 50 plus touchdown. And going on to win them be Pete. So I basically good Has ability, and he has a And the codes. Go on to the next level and become Arguably maybe one of the best quarterback for a long time, but he's he's had it into the right direction. And there's only one. Okay. Thank you so much, Mike for calling from Illinois. Yeah, we don't can't predict the future. What we know the talent is there But we also know the direction that the game is going in. Like it is more quarterback driven than ever before. So I don't think this is anybody proclaiming him as the next Tom Brady. I don't think this is anybody saying all Well, Patrick Mahomes, you know he's not going to reach break this have anything to do its on Brady. This has to do with what he has individually accomplished since he stepped out onto the field as a starter. He stepped out onto the field like he's been doing it for years. So no. Is he gonna be the next Tom Brady? No, He's not. No one will be. But he already is Patrick my homes. Unique it already and I think he already has started to set himself up for people to be compared to him. One of our college just said it. Who knows? Maybe Lamar Jackson steps up. If Lamar Jackson turned into I don't want to say half the passer, But if he became a pro bowl level passer just with this physical talent, damn it! You got the terminator of quarterbacks out there. You got Create a quarterback. You got a video game. Lamar Jackson has already that I'm going to continue to take your phone calls 855 to.

Don't forget they were the Dallas Texans first way back when right and then they moved to Kansas City to be the chief's. Well, the son of Lamar This son of a loose. I fear the son of a loser. You're losing yourself. Clark Hunt is his name. He gave his prediction on one of 55, the fan in Dallas. Are you pulling for Tom Brady or what? Not not not at all. Tom doesn't need any more Super Bowl victories. That's for damn sure agreed. You wanna go and give us a prediction for Sunday would be great in terms of score? Sure. No, I don't. I don't do that. But but I do know which team's gonna gonna end up on on top. And it's the one with the young quarterback. Yeah. What's that? They say, Well, he does on the chief, so I hope he's gonna take the Chiefs in that game, man. Yeah, Right. Right. Right. You better? Yeah, By the way, send Polly a screenshot of a headline from a cameraman story in the Contra Costa Times very news group. It simply said, Eddie. The Barlow says 89 neat Niners would beat both Chiefs Come up bucks. It's like, Yeah, baby, I love it. I love it, too. And he's like, no, no, we'd beat him. 89. We would I agree with him to that 18 19 dude was loaded loaded. Speaking of which Matt Millen was on that team. Oh, yeah. Did I tell you that Matt Millen will show up on your screen tonight? Yes. Yes, I did Tell you that. I think so. On the documentary. Yeah, No, I mentioned it. Okay? I don't think you did. I want to surprise. It's a surprise so much. Davis yesterday copes today. I think you mentioned that right? Yeah, that's what you'll see. Look for Matt Millen in a black and white picture. Okay, That's all I'm gonna say. It's like a little treasure hunt. All right, well, scavenger hunt for you, Polly. Okay, lettered for net. That's another guy. Is he gonna be like, you know, like the way date that Damian Williams touchdown just destroyed the Niners at the end of the Super Bowl last year, he can break off a couple of runs calling a playoff. Lenny Yeah, called playoff Lenny. That 20 yard touchdown run in Green Bay was in sage That was huge. Spinning off a guy's bouncing off a guy's Was that a great run? It was that bad defense. Because, like I could really egg poly Chicken or the egg. I really didn't think he was going to get into the end zone when he took that. Are you chicken? Are you a chicken or a dead guy? Uh, in terms of which came? Which one? Is it? Yeah. What's the, uh, I'm gonna I'm gonna like I'm gonna pass on this question. Can I talk to my man DeLorean people? The egg plays a role in Episode two season one. They get an egg. All right, that's for my man. DeLorean count. All right? Yeah, a big to do about the egg, right anyway. Uh, the point being is that Nazi Now you open the door and I got to get involved. Shout out to other great eggs and cinema. Murphy. Of course, you remember the egg. The glass egg was the centerpiece of the story in risky business. When a Guido the killer pimp took the egg, and then crews had to go get it back into buyback. Remember the egg right in the middle of mantelpiece with that at all? I like it a lot. The whole thing was about the egg, the whole thing. And then his mother came home. The first thing she did, she goes and looks at and she goes. Oh, my egg! Look, it's ruined. That's what she said She does not. Look, It's room. "Are gonna I think they're going to rip into it. And no matter how great Josh Allen is, I don't think he's gonna win a shoot out with Patrick Mahomes. And I think as much as the concussion is a concern Mahomes status as it relates to his sharpness. There's an equal or greater concern. Just the normal reality of any quarterback, particularly Josh Allen as a young guy regressing Ah little bit to the meaning the championship gamers Super Bowl game That's being obviously and they've C championship game. In order for the bills to win. I don't think it's unreasonable to say into expected for Buffalo fans to expect Gosh, Alan to have something in the neighborhood of Ah 65% completion or better three touchdown. Or better, no interception. Outing, you know, 350 passing yards. You're not gonna win this game 21 to 17 against Kansas City. You're not It ain't gonna happen. This feels to me like a chief's win. And one more point and maybe I'm overthinking it. Maybe I am. I've watched every Chiefs game this year. I used to write about that organization I've talked about. I'm not a fan, but I feel a connectedness to the community. My kids were born there live there for 10 years and an organization that again I'm not friends with Clark Hunt. Wouldn't even say that, like I love I don't I don't dislike the guy. I just I know him. And when you experience interesting human beings were good people in a complicated way. Over time. You have an appreciation for them in a way you don't folks there two dimensional to you. So I root for the Chiefs because I know the owner and I know their fans and I'm I like the organization. I just do. Doesn't mean that doesn't make me a little biased, however. Andy Reid, and this isn't this isn't some big breaking news, but I think it bears bears mentioning before we get. So I think the more difficult game to call in the NFC side Andy Reid is an absolute genius when it comes to His offensive approach and things that he can see on the field, right? His vision that other people don't have. And part of the reason the enemy should have a job, by the way is that is that the way that the Andy Reid approaches? His offense. In his perspective, The reason that Mahomes has become the instrument of Vanda reads opus at the end of presumably, toward the end of a very, very illustrious career is there is a collaboration led by a genius and Andy Reid, and that's collaboration. That genius are important factors, not just what the chief's canoe but in the development of the people around him, one of the really interesting realities of history and there's been books written on this and studies and I'm not Asian up to have read the book, more read articles on it. But the cluster of remarkable talent in places together is that you really believe that Fitzgerald and Stein and Hemingway and Picasso might go on and on just happened all be in Paris in the twenties. No, there was an effect they had on each other. And whoever the catalyst was was the cattle's right. Whoever the greater genius was smarter people than I can argue, and by that you could go through this. For every single walk of life. You can point to sports media sports television sports writing the world that I come from in the really successful people that I've known you can point in a lot of ways to politics to literature to sports. It's an amazing thing, and you have to have the right environment. Andy Reid is created it and we know this because he does these things offensively, at times that are mind blowing. Like hell do trick plays and new looks that other teams might do occasionally, just for the sake of looking creative, smart but not effective reads are effective in baffled defense is a don't know what to do, because they can't handle the homeland is just a very Meeting potatoes approach and the thing about this year that I found really interesting again. I've watched every game maybes, my bias. The cheese haven't done much of that. Andy Reid, I think recognizing That now the target on their back now nothing that is on tape is going to go on notice because you have to study the chief to have a chance to be them for the favorite. Every game has held everything back and years. I know that Here's how I know that it's only one game were multiple times. The chief's offense did things that were mind blowing where the announcers were. Oh, my God look at the river. But and that was the second game against the Raiders because it was personal. Andy Reid, I think violated his own rule for 2020 now, 21 when in that first game on Lee Game, the chief law. Still, they said everybody in week 17 not just the Raiders, and those teams hate each other, beating the Chiefs in Arrowhead member Raiders did a little joyride around area, which isn't easy. There's different levels to that thing You have to, like, Go through some media. There's things you gotta do to drive in a circle around heroin. Not like driving in a circle around most places. And you re pulled out the big guns and they are coming again this weekend. Now we're at the point right last weekend. Was the first cheese Game That really was significantly difficult for Kansas City and Yeah, yeah, the Browns had an opportunity to win the game in the end. Why? Because Patrick moms didn't play Mom's got knocked out of the game that she's still want. Assuming Mom's okay. They're gonna pull so many things out of the closet of the enemy's brain and the homes his brain and reads brain and maybe the in Germany brings coffee cause that's the process and the approach. Everybody gets a thrill things in the cauldron stirred up, see if it works secret ingredients and and Andy Reid is the captain of that ship. But he's not the only person who's trying to figure out which way they want to sell that thing and it Zen amazing approach. I'm telling you, you're going to see stuff You haven't seen in a football sense this week, and I loved the chief's Now the bugs and the Packers. To me or the more the more difficult games. They're both difficult. I feel good about the chief's. I'm on the chief's. I'm giving you some points. I think she's gonna win could go the other way. I get it. That's where we are. We're it's KFC NFC Championship time. Anything that happened. The Jaguars should've beat the Patriots A few years ago, they were the better football team. They squandered the second half, and now the Jags were destroyed Organization Urban Meyer's taken over and apparently doesn't have power over a GM who can't get along with people that The world turns quickly and it could happen in these games. Get it. I understand it. Not right off the bills. I just don't think they're gonna win. That's my That's my opinion. I'm sticking to it. Bucks Packers for me is tougher. Everything says it should be the Packers. Everything's as it should be the Packers games at home. Check. Aaron Rodgers is playing. Maybe the best quarterback of the National Football League. I think it is, If it's not certainly better than Tom Brady. Brady's been really good check. There is some new wants now to the offense and the defense for the Packers that maybe we haven't seen by maybe I mean we haven't seen over the last two or three or four years, some other opportunities and weapons. They haven't had to go forward and Rogers and I'm sure that they will do whatever they had to do, including full Aaron Rodgers to win this football game. And this is a Packers team that is just markedly better than the Saints. They just are. But I can't get over thinking in my gut. That it's going to be the Buccaneers and I feel like I'm on an island on this. I know that I'm not technically on an island on this. One of my social circle, my friends who are in sports media. Okay, the people that I talked to about sports, just her buddies of mine, my gambling world like people. I bounce things off from a gambling perspective. When I go on CBS Sports HQ. What they're talking about the gambling Gruber's Everybody loves Everybody Loves Green Bay. I had to talk my brother into the bucks. And I said this the other week, and I'm still there. Just you know riders rain but taking it very slowly looks like he's good to go sunday right absolutely and we could not be happier. Not saying that. I don't love chatting. I think what he did on. Sunday was incredible however makes me nervous and that third and fourteen run was just like i think everyone. Kennedy's poll stopped at that. Very moment couldn't have stopped more though when on that fourth down when everyone thought they were just trying to get him to jump off sides that you have a little dinky pass to a running back. I mean that to me. Where was your heart and your throat. Absolutely and i kinda tell and still stuff out but i don't know if i was yelling throat surgery on the eighteenth of december so maybe being out screaming at the tv wasn't the greatest thing in the world. But i'll be at the afc championship though. So how do you. How do you manage to get in. What's the what's the capacity is like one fifth or whatever. I think it's something along those lines. I know that you have to tailgate with your group. You have to be seated with your group And i haven't been there yet to arrowhead. But i heard it's pretty fun despite the regulations. So i'm gonna be kind of experiencing it all for the first time and i'm looking forward to it. How close where we the other day to seeing jordan. Tom paraffin notes on the field. They're going to lie. That was something that i think. We were all just hoping what happened. But i don't know this team has just been. Our injuries have been staggered enough to where we still make do with whatever we have and for some reason. This team just keeps pulling together and i'm impressed week after week. I hasn't been a easy season. I don't think i'm quite to wear patriots. Fans were for all these years. Just be like. Oh we're going to be fine. We have palm brady. Because when tom brady goes out you know. We all saw injuries and Game loss but to compare the feeling is just something. I hadn't felt before three back to back. Afc championships and. I'm not sure that i ever expected this when you and i first started talking way back when and She she's one in five. And i'm just like no. We're only focused on the royals. Nothing else so this has been a wild ride. Yeah new you before the royals one as well we've been through alive Speaking of being going through a lot clydes Edwards allaire I know daryl williams is picked up the slack a little bit of labor young. No but is clyde gonna be healthy sunday. I absolutely the only person that didn't practice today. Was willie gay and he just just in ankle injury. Pretty like practice from what i understand. So they're all getting back underfoot I think it's just a matter of rest and luckily we have a few days to do that. And we can nurse him back to health but been probably one of the most stand out players in the nfl. I'm huge team. hilarious one thing that i was dispatching. The former segment is that. I love the fact that like green bay. Kansas city has never held that the city administration to task and leverage which basically i mean every other city in america. Basically outside of green bay says a new stadium. Or we're outta here and knowing the midwest they would probably bow down and build that stadium forum. Why do you think it is that. And i know clark. Hunt has the most luxurious skyboxes. Any any owner talked about that before committing evil castle. Why why even with you know the the k. Getting redone how come the chiefs are cool. What that stadium. That's you know fifty plus years old old. We did renovations not that long ago but they still aren't modernized us. Go to the different stadiums. Especially the raiders stadium. I can't even imagine the art facilities that they have now but You know there's been talks about moving our stadium downtown. I know for a fact that the chief actually filed for a permit or patent for the build out close to the suburbs of kansas city at one point and i don't think that would go over well but i think kaufman And also airhead. If they go anywhere it would definitely be downtown. And i could happen within the next five years or so. We've got an airport being built right now. Because i was like one of the worst airports in the nation so we gotta take things one step at a time. Our infrastructure is getting. they're hosting the draft and twenty twenty three obviously covert and pandemic pending We'll be a huge step in the right direction to get some more is on us. And maybe some possible funding stadium. Just as you know as a californian i wonder how is kansas city taken to the whole cova thing because obviously you can go into stadia which which we can't hear is masked up or a lot of people are like i ain't wearing says everyone is masked up iowa however is like a free for all in nebraska has kind of been the same way missouri. our mayor has made national news for so stretch Candies mayor so you know. We just have a lot of people along both lines. But kansas and missouri have both been under mass restrictions and the most populated county. Since i believe March of last year. Gotcha speaking with the gatt from sprott stakes You know as we we just saw campbell hired up in detroit. And so eric be. Enemies name is still out there. Obviously he's got bigger fish to fry with the chiefs right now but there's the philly job and there's the houston job and i'm starting to wonder now if maybe the guy doesn't interview well or is it one of those cases where people think it ain't him. It's andy reid. But i i also kind of feel like because of the lack of diversity. Some of these hiring that the enemy has to get one of these last two jobs. You're much closer to eric. B enemy does. What does your synopsis on selfishly. I think that the enemy is having. Somebody spun. coaching the best quarterback in football and wants to stay in kansas city. And we'll take these head coach hiring jobs and and go to the interviews and do all the pomp and circumstance when i actually saw him Interview with miami last year and so it was just like i can see that. He is the talented coach that everyone knows that he could be as a head coach. I kinda see him. Waiting it out with andy reid just be. Hey if we won another super bowl. I don't really know what. Andy reid has left approved and there might be a time sooner rather than later for me to step into that role in a town that loves them with a quarterback that you can't touch and kind of pushing board to wait it out and i mean if they higher i would be shocked at this point. It seemed like they got a lot of problems. Going on there Just in general but it just seems like there's a lot more for cancer offers selfishly. I'm hoping that the reason that he's not going anywhere because pretty so much. How much because we used to see this. A lot in new england these coordinators like charlie wise and bill. O'brien josh mcdaniels even on defense romeo cornell and then in the end it was like oh i guess it really was bill. Check brady after all. I guess that's something that might go against the guy like a b. enemy. But you know. I guess If you're clark hunt what you could do is just say look. I'll give you a fat raise if you if you stick around but then again andy. Reid is calling all the played. So i don't know it's it's just kind.
