"Something that certainly hasn't been the case since I was a young child living in Brooklyn, Massachusetts. They flip spots with Indiana and they get Cola Bali, my French hero, who grew a foot when he was 19. I'm always in, just blind. He was 5 '11 and he grew to 6 '8. That's like if you're like, hey, I'm thinking about getting a spicy margarita with jalapeno. I'm like in, just blind. I need no more information. The guy, the defensive long -armed guy who grew a foot when he was 19, I'm always in, like prove to me that guy's not gonna make it. Washington says, fuck it. This is perfect. We're tanking anyway. We just got Jordan Poole today. He's gonna take 30 shots a game. We're gonna do Tyus Jones. We're gonna audition him for three months and then hopefully try to trade him for two picks. And then we take this French guy who have no impact on us whatsoever this year other than defensive and tangible stuff, but long -term really might be something. And I can't tell if this is a Ewing Theory right away team or not. We don't, I asked you this question last night. Are we sure the Wizards aren't gonna be good right away? You're kind of on that. Like you think the Wizards could be better than expected when they're backcourt. I really like the backcourt. Tyus Jones and Monte Morris are two legit point guards that first the and second unit are gonna be organized. They're gonna play good, solid basketball. They're gonna make the right decisions. They're gonna be in the right spots. I think Tyus Jones could be like a most improved type candidate, right? Just get the opportunity. Jordan Poole as well, both of them could be. I mean, Tyus Jones has wanted to be a starter for a long time and he's flourished whenever he got the opportunities and Jordan Poole's gonna get 25 shots per game. Like he's gonna put up big numbers on offense. It's just a matter of everything else. But I like what they've done. I mean, they get eight second round picks, four first round swabs, one protected first. Jordan Poole, Tyus Jones landed a teammate for Beal and Porzingis. That's not a bad haul. And a hundred pick swaps. Yeah, like that's not bad considering the circumstances with Beal having the no trade. And I like - And you could replace Beal's offense with Poole. Beal was 23 a game last year. You know, it wasn't like he was lighting it up. He wasn't the 30 point per game guy we saw back years. And now they got Koulibaly who, I mean, for him with the Mets 92 this past season, he starts the year on their junior team and he's doing a ton of on ball. He's scoring, he's playing, running, pick and roll, isolating, and he looks smooth doing it. And then he's playing a three and D role next to Wembe and doing that at a high level as a defensive stopper. And Wembe came over for a freaky handshake with him where he took his giant massive hands and just tried. Everybody who tried to shake hands or do a high five with Wembe, it actually seemed terrifying. Right, it was like he took over his arm. Yeah, he had his arm halfway up Adam Silver's forearm on a handshake. I've never seen anything like this. And I've never seen Adam Silver that happy. He's like, finally. He's like, this is what I've been looking for. My guy, this is my LeBron. It was like Priscilla when he saw Chris Paul, you know what I mean? He pulls him closer. So they move up a spot, give up a couple of second rounders. Indiana moves back a spot and takes Walker from Houston. Getting a whiff of, smells a little busty, this pick. I hope he makes it. I hope all of these guys make it. But this is the one that's like, what's his position? It's like, well, he averaged 11 and seven in college. Oh, cool, 11 and seven. Can't believe he was able to pull that off. He's six, seven. Feels like he's in that kind of Brandon Clark, Grant Williams, P .J. Tucker. Kind of a tweener, yeah. Not really sure what his position is. A gamer, everybody talks about, oh yeah, a gamer, a competitive. I just don't know if I want to spend the eighth pick on that KOC. I think it's fair to question that, the eighth pick. I would have taken Taylor Hendricks instead. I think Hendricks is the better prospect to Utah. Yes, Utah, one of the big winners of the draft. But I think for Indiana, with what they did there, you're betting that he can do more of what he did in high school, which was more on ball with his size at six, seven, 250 pounds. He was a pull up guy from mid range. He's shown the ability to be a catch and shoot guy from three so for Indiana, I would imagine they're thinking, we have Miles Turner at the five, Jaris Walker at the four, two guys who can be good defenders and can space the floor on offense so they can play five out. How about trading back and getting them? I don't know if they could have. Move back four spots. I don't know if they could have. 10th guy in 2022 and he has been top hundred date. Yeah, and I felt like Houston, they were so good and everyone wanted to find the reason why and Sasser ends up going to the first round so that makes a lot of sense, Marcus Sasser. To the Pistons. Right, but Walker was the fourth option on this team but granted, in some of their best games for Houston, then he stepped up and was important for them and was able to show some of that scoring punch and that creator ability but in general, I just felt like everyone wanted Houston to have a one and done guy. Jaris Walker checked a lot of boxes and then you start putting these mock drafts together, he's 250, he's got a lot of girth to him, right? I mean, I could see him sliding down to the five and guarding a center if he had to just because of his size but it might be a bit of a reach. And then they added Ben Sheppard with the 26th pick Strother and Julian with the 29th pick. So they added two shooters in the late first round. It's pretty clear what they're trying to do is that's surround Halliburton with these versatile pieces and targets for him to find and I think what they're doing makes some sense even though with Walker, I do wonder about the upside compared to some of the guys taken behind him but I think he's gonna be solid at the least. Oh, I hope so, he's the eighth pick. Very, very pacers to take these college players, you know what I mean? That is kind of like a traditional thing that they would do anyway so it makes sense for those, I like Strother a lot. I mean, he had a big shot there for Gonzaga in the tournament too against UCLA. And Sheppard was a riser through the draft combine process out of Belmont, yep. I mean, he's like an Alec Burks type, Quentin Grimes, solid player. We have Toronto with Grady Dick at 13 where there was a TikTok video of him of his freshman year, he had this suit. It's almost like he was so weird, I'm kind of into it. It was like one weird thing with him, there's like seven and it seemed like his family dynamic was pretty normal so it was like maybe he's trying to get some attention. I like American guys that have confidence, you know what I mean? Because I feel like, like Tyler Herro for example, even if it's weird and he's kind of an alien, I like that he has the confidence and I think Grady Dick kind of falls in line there where you don't quite understand it, it's a little bit, you're like, what's happening here? But he believes it, he leans into it, he went to Kansas with a lot of talent around him, Jalen Wilson for example, and he got shots. I mean, he got opportunities, he wasn't afraid of the moment and he stepped up immediately. Smart enough to grow the little chin thing. Right, he needs to be a little bit weird. Can't do that right away so you don't look like Opie in Happy Days. Can't be too clean cut, yeah. One of the things that bothered me about Grady Dick at Kansas was that offense. I forget the game, who the opponent was, but he's just like stationary in the corner, there's no movement and I think with Toronto, it's gonna be the opposite. Like you have a new coach who really likes these modernized motion concepts and you have Scotty Barnes, maybe you keep Pascal Siakam. They're gonna be wanting so much movement for Grady Dick in Toronto that he wasn't able to do in Kansas, especially the Barnes, Dick, like that two man game between them.

"19, I believe. And so he is after grant. Right. So he's like, it was like Brandon Clark grant Williams basically. And then a couple of pics and then Kevin gala, they were all sort of in the same group together. So he was out of Florida state, went to the clippers, turned away under the bed on the bench a couple of years. I think I traded in a salary dump or something like that at a trade in line, bounced around and was totally out of the league last year, which I didn't realize that he played the entire season with Houston's G league affiliate, and they won a title there. And now the Celtics apparently made our strong run at him to go for them in summer league. And now they offer him the two a in this final year of eligibility for two a and it's given the new two way eligibility rules here, Ryan, I see it making sense from both sides from a standpoint, this other student is still like, hey, if you, if you wouldn't, this job, like, we'll play you in random games here and Elise gets the locked in money and what it was like close to 500 K now. And kind of a win win from It's over 500 K actually. And it doesn't count against the cap either. Yeah, I mean, I don't love the idea of using one of those spots on a 25 year old center. Basically, I would always be like wings or a point guard around your J lead team. And it does, I think there's a couple of things that change that calculus, a certain extent. One is that again, this is the title theme. So maybe they're just trying to do everything they can to protect themselves against every possible thing that's out there. And so you just, you know, you're not working. You don't need another card. You don't need another guard. Well, you don't need another car. You always need wings. Fair. And the other part of it is that

"How can you have a life expectancy of minority death? Right, but that's the way that worked right. That's all gone. Every bit of that is gone. And we continue to see trust documents come into our office where people have this. It's written that says You're going to take it out based on these parameters, folks. This is a nightmare. This is not what you want to leave your beneficiaries. It's not what you want in you're planning. You need a different thing, And it's the reason why I am licensed to be a trustee. I want to be able to help people with this. We are corporate trustees. You could name the financial Enhancement group. If we accept that liability, and that responsibility, both That we can do that. So go back to you. Yeah, and kind of continue on that same vein, Joe going back to the big change with the secure act. We now have a limited distribution schedule. We have 10 years. So rmds. On a generational transfer of deferred wealth. Almost essentially doesn't exist. Could you could take it all in one year? Over a period of five years, or all in a year over year 10 Year period. It just has to come out by the 10th year after year day. Death has to be empty, whether the and that's true whether it's a Roth or whether it's a tax deferred account. And so you've got to be very, very careful to make sure that the The thought process here is solid. One question. Do you like I do want to bring up with this as well? Because we often see confusion Here is everyone for the most part, understands that armed these are required for traditional IRAs traditional foreign case. But there is a requirement distribute. You should component for rough, but it's in a Roth for one. K can't walk people through either. Yeah, inside of a 41 K. If you leave the money inside of the 41 K, which is to a large degree, this is a material if If somebody has a 41 K and dies, the administrator's going to force you to move the money to Iraq. Fire a 1999% of the time because they don't want to pay. For the administration of a 41 K for a deceased person. But if you're still alive, and you've got a Roth for one, K, you're going to take your required minimum distribution out of the Roth component. You're much better to move that to a self directed IRA, where you have no required minimum distributions. Remember, Roth is a tax code. Right? Roth merely says I'm going to pay taxes on the deposit so that I don't have to pay taxes on the distribution, including any growth that occurred on it. That can be inside of a defined contribution plan. Like a 41 care of four. Through me, it could be inside of an IRA. But what you don't want his have to take money out the whole purpose. The whole reason that we walk people through that process of understanding how to accumulate money correctly, when when we talk about tax diversification. Is to be able to give you options. We don't know what the tax code is gonna be. I mean, you know, this week we're gonna have a new president. Um, we have no idea what the new tax code is gonna look like. What I want to make sure is that you have options. To be able to deploy. Your resource is Effectively. There you go. Hey, you listen to consider this. I am your host Joe Clark. crucial time in the fight against the virus on CBS's face the nation Dr Scott Gottlieb said the next two weeks are key and he adds that the next two months will probably be difficult with the closing closing of of businesses businesses and and schools schools Gottlieb Gottlieb did did offer offer reassurance reassurance saying saying quote quote we'll we'll get get through through this this another another former former democratic democratic presidential presidential candidate candidate is is endorsing endorsing Joe Joe Biden Biden in a video on Twitter California senator Kamilla Harris threw her support behind the former vice president saying quote I believe in joke we need a leader who really does care about the people and who can therefore unify the people and I believe Joe can do that and with us right now was ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts Steve what a difference a week makes it did you anticipate Joe Biden picking up this mode the momentum this quickly no I have not I don't think anybody did I I think what we're what we're seeing though is a fascinating phenomena based on one word and that word is fear it's fear of Donald Trump and fear of Bernie Sanders Joe Biden has not been reborn as some useful charismatics move talking energetic candidates Joe Biden today is still the same Joe Biden that people have a lot of doubts about two weeks ago two months ago two years ago the difference is that Democrats have so desperate so frantic to find somebody who can beat Donald Trump that they decided that day either as a group and individually as voters and as candidates they'll camel Harris being an example of of having to rally around somebody and then choosing between Biden and Sanders the fear of Bernie Sanders is pulling the party too far to the left so there's a lot of energy around the Biden candidacy right now but in my view it's largely negative energy it's driven by fear it's driven by desperation there are not a lot of Democrats even this morning jumping up and down in Saint Joe Biden's gonna be a great candidate a great president but this negative energy is very powerful and that's what's driving this trend do you think it's now his to lose or is it too early to say that definitely has to lose end up and I think it's gonna be very difficult for Bernie Sanders to rebound here the one variable of course the one no wild card is by himself as I say he has not been report he's still the guy who can show astounding lapses of judgment he's still the guy who could make gaffes he's still the guy who can show his age very clearly he's still the guy who can appear fumbling and uncertain and in debates with Bernie Sanders and interviews it's still entirely possible for him to make damaging mistakes I think a lot of Democrats even if they rally around by they're holding their breath and hoping that Biden will get its act together and I've seen some signs a few signs of Byton improving on the stop I think he's shown a little bit more energy I think the campaign line about I'm the candidate of those who have been left behind it counted out is a defective and powerful line really echoes of a bill to written of nineteen ninety two the comeback kid although Biden's hardly a kid he's more the comeback teaser than the comeback kid and also this line of of of appealing to the concepts of dignity and civility and normalcy I think they provide a fairly stark contrast to the president who's in the oval office now but Biden is still Biden it was all of his flaws but at this point he's the Democrats best hope and it's gonna be very difficult for Sanders to capture Steve thanks for your thoughts again this morning ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts it's also worth noting that this morning one of the former
