Nicole Gibbons: How Her Company, Clare, Upended the Paint Industry
"I kept exploring different mark opportunities and i came across the pain. Or you know as a designer. I was super passionate about color. And i realized this industry was archaic. The shopping experience was broken. And that's how. I knew. I had a good opportunity might lands. It's amazing actually talk about that because a lot of people think there's like an idea in the middle of the night and someone jumps out of bed and starts their company but what you just described was so thoughtful such a thoughtful process of what you wanted to do and establish your as you say your credentials in your credibility and then then you saw an opening in the market. I mean ask a very simple question. How did you come up with the name. Yeah so. I saw that. All the brands paint. Were hyper masculine. So you know. Benjamin moore darren williams dutch boy. You know they all sound like dudes and plaid shirts and i know from my experience in home that the people who really making the caller decisions in household women and i felt like brands were failing to appeal. The women So i intentionally wanted a name. That was feminine approachable. Easier member friendly sounding Annan name that could be personified so you really build the personality around the brown. And then lastly. I wanted a name that tied back to some deeper meaning unrelated related to color so clear comes from a latin root word laris. That means bright and brilliant And so the word play their felt really appropriate because both brilliant in terms of being innovative in for thinking but also in terms of dollar in. Was you know it kind of checked. All those boxes and it was originally just a working title. Because i wasn't sure what to call the brand but after while it just felt right and sort of stock to the first steps. You took to get this vision off the ground. Yeah so i. I really thought about it for about a year You know super busy in mike company kept thinking like this is such a good idea. How do i make this happened. What do i do to focus my attention. So i thought of this is an idea being twenty six sixteen and then really kind of thought about it off and on the entire year In in the meeting twenty seventeen january you know he wake up on the first of the year and it's kind of like new year new me. What am i gonna do with my life this year. i came back to the idea for clarendon. Like if i don't do this now i probably will never do it. So what are the steps. You take to need to take to make this happen. So i decided to take a quarter off. Vermeille designed firm. I was in a lucky position. That was wrapping up a couple of projects from but two thousand sixteen and so i finished up those products. But i didn't take on any new clients. And i spent i said to myself one quarter shoe explore the opportunity to talk to people in the paint industry figure out. You know how. I might go about doing this. And also get the company
Liverpool's Mountain to Climb
"The big game in the premier league today. It was liverpool against chelsea liverpool. Losing one nil. They've now lost five straight home league games for the first time in club history. Stevie nickel how has it come to this. Oh my goodness well as being a slippery slope I remember sitting here. What thirteen games ago liverpool. It's operatives league they had west brom coming up at newcastle coming up. They had only coming up. And we're talking about who's gonna stop liverpool routine in this tale. Thirteen games live like the forgotten how to play a front three. It destroying any defense was from can seem t- holiday short and i mean one show on goal today whole tells you the problems liverpool have going forward and of course we can say is unlucky so only so many times defensively but when you've got an this game today to defend with experience of of alexander arnold and forbidden new causing the goal then you can excuse so listen a team that feting games ago was straightened towards the title has gotten to the stage where this is not a surprise. This is actually when the final whistle went today. I wasn't surprised because this team is playing like a team that struggling as getting results like a team struggling and guess wha the struggling and is going to continue. I don't see an end to done given the problems that they have indefens- should club using more pragmatic approach. Not really. i agree with stevie exactly the same when they add west brought new castle after the seven zero win against crystal palace all it would move in weeks for liverpool. Thought stride clare. We can't keep blaming injuries because defensively it's never really been a problem. Little put off the power from man. City it's offensively where you start now live you. Think they all shot-shy the top end of the pitch. There's no confidence whatsoever. Most salga dragged off tonight Shutters huckabee rush back for beano to be rushed. Saudi-omani doesn't the same laugh. You can't reach them. What he does in terms of he's linka play but all of that's just not enough at the moment and liverpool. And i think you heard in new york and companies pressed hartford's afterwards. He looked absolutely shot. Looked deflated yoga club. The players the fans. I think they just want this season because a sudden it's disaster
Author Cassandra Clare On How She Creates Memorable Characters
"Just like laurel rings. There's a big cast of characters your books and series. They always have a lot of different characters that we meet throughout when you're constructing that and going through the draft process and kind of outlining how to make sure that that those characters can stick with readers. How much do you kind of do beforehand as far as flushing them out or having an understanding of the personality of the elements of that character. before kind of The to include them in your stories. I would say that. I do about fifty percent beforehand. You know. I want to know a good amount about the character. You know i wanna have the sense at least for me. The most important thing is of what they want now more than anything else was this person. Want more than anything else in the world. What's driving them. And then secondarily. I would probably want to know things like what is there. The thing that hurt the most in the world what's their greatest loss. Who is the person in the world they care about the most. Who's the person that they hate. You know you want to these sort of big stroke things that give you the shape of your character but i also feel like you one can get lost in making notes. You know you can make notes forever about a character or a place and You have to you kind of run your characters like a like a rat you have to run them through the maze of war. You learn what they're like entirely. You're never going to know your carter completely. Just making notes about them. You have to put them in the story and run the store and see how they respond
Shailene Woodley Confirms Engagement With Aaron Rodgers
"Shaly. Woodley has confirmed her engagement to aaron rodgers. Let's just say she's not exactly the man of her dreams. It's kind of funny. Here's what she told. Jimmy fallon yes. We are engaged. We are engaged for us. It's not new news. You know so. It's kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it. And we're like we've been engaged for awhile. He's office a wonderful incredible human being. But i never thought i'd be engaged. Somebody who threw balls rarely when i grow up. I'm gonna marry someone who who throws balls okay cheese. That was a very first interview about the engagement. I i will take some balls thrown up. I'll take all that catching the balls. All those all probably thinks it's that she doesn't know much about football that she's not really into sports. Maybe he's sick of being gushed about all the time i don't know but it's kind of funny. How she like. She says she's never seen the game. She's never watched him. She's everyone watched football. She knows everybody keeps telling her apparently to watch youtube highlights how great he is and she's just like nah part of his life right. Sometimes it's better. I was dating a rapper at one time. Which is name but he was pretty big rapper. But i wasn't interested. Because i wasn't i didn't understand. I didn't know his music. I didn't understand. And i didn't even know you know what level he was at and all my friends were like you. Gotta listen listen to the music but you you have to get into your partners thing just to be able to experience first of all. Y'all i love that you guys are like. Oh she's engages is fine. she's a football player. The only thing i could have seen in the interview is how upset she lean was that he did say that they were engaged. Like show was trying to keep it on the hush for mill. Because she was a we're engaged like he honestly and we always talk about it. The tables turn how men try to hide being in a relationship with women. But i feel like prochet. She is like one of those private celebrities. Who doesn't want to be in the spotlight. And who doesn't want. Yes because the danika or he hasn't been you know away from his other girlfriend. That rodney timelines timelines at the time. So as far as we understand they confirmed danika and erin confirmed their break-up in july twenty twenty seven months ago but she leans like we've been engaged for a while so she says so. Mike did they engage after a month. The data thought t's though oh don't do that about shayla little question of putting the way she leads says it as far as like. I don't know why it's such a big deal with engaged for so long and almost seems like they've been together for year exactly exactly. My problem is and i'm sorry she leaned. I really wanna be down for this engagement. There's something about him and he only dates famous women. That scares me a little bit.
Clare Crawley and Dale Moss Were Spotted Holding Hands After Their Messy Breakup
"Let's talk claire and dell. They split just a few weeks ago. And the break-up was messy now there have been sightings. I've been hanging out in florida. Do we really think these two could get back together. Yes absolutely you. I have friends that. Go back and forth to their excess. I've done it. I think we've all unless you're a person who's like that's it. I cut him off. Got some friends who cut their and they do not go back no matter what but this couple seems like toxic. I mean what do you really think you really feel about daily. I always tell people don't decisions about your relationship when you're hungry when you're tired win in a pandemic because you will start to second guess where the you really feel their way or if it's the pandemic that's causing you to think that way. I think that we probably got the clare in dallas situation. Ron i think the two had split up probably before he went to new york and probably before he was spotted with that girl. I don't think there was any fidelity. Did her dirty publicly. he basically broke up with her on the internet. It's like the now twenty twenty one of breaking someone on a post it note like visitors not okay and she found out when we found out that that's will remember. I'm going to believe claire. Because she's a she's my age and we are mature and in control of our relationship narrative. That is exactly what happened. She wasn't happy about it but clearly it wasn't enough to turn her off of the relationship because here she is again. I just wanna order. Friends are saying. That's what a shot because if you call them go back your friends don't wanna hear about it. You talk and talk and what he did to me and the next thing you know i cut people off if you have a toxic relationship and i have been through it for cycle one. Two three and seven at eight. I have to draw boundaries. Because then you're talk. Society is coming into my leg with your girlfriend but let's put ourselves in their predicament. We're talking about a man who went on a show met. A woman got engaged after three or four weeks have known each other and then went into lockdown with that person. I don't care who you are whether you were together for a year years or five years before you got engaged. Somebody's gonna get cold feet at some point during that time go on a cruise ship with somebody who just see what happens more people that break up after going on cruises to gather you're locked up and you're like you know i got to know that person way too. Well yes. I think it's the opposite. I feel like corentin. Yes i think it can either break you up and you're done because it pushes fast forward on the relationship right so you're in quarantine. I hate this person or if you haven't had a lot of time together which they did not corentin could have been the best thing for their relationship because now they get to spend all all of this if they were right for each other. I don't think these two long term right for each other. But i think that quarantines should have been the best for
Ultrarunner Clare Gallagher speaks up about climate change
"Gallagher knows about determination as a professional trail runner. She competes in hundred mile races over rugged terrain and when she's not running. She's focused on an even bigger challenge. Climate change gillanders activism began in two thousand sixteen that year president trump was elected and she won the leadville one hundred and ultra marathon through the rocky mountains in colorado and those two events for me coincided. They hit together. Like a su- nami where i had this privilege to run in mountains across the world seeing landscapes that i never would normally see and knowing that so many of our ecosystems are imperilled right now due climate change knowing that my own president was beginning to roll back climate regulations. She was compelled to act so she began contacting her elected officials and using social media to engage others. She also hosts frequent events where she talks about climate. An air pollution clean air. I think should just be a way of life. There are miles to go in the race to limit climate change. But she's determined to stay the
Dale Moss speaks out on Clare Crawley breakup
"This story never ends. So dale moss is now addressing. The split from clare crawley. So he's opened up about the split on social media saying basically that he's been criticized for smiling on social media but we don't know how much he's really hurt and the burden of all this and being happy as the furthest thing from his mind right now so. He shared this on his instagram stories. The also thanked his fans for supporting him during the up. Saying this time sucks but god and family and friends have literally got him through the last two weeks. He went on to say that he still loves claire and he respects her but claire remember said she had no idea he was putting in a statement and announcement in fact when he confirmed that they had split. He said it was a mutual statement. Class at that's news to me. She didn't know he's got to be very careful here. It feels to me as dale is more concerned about his fanbase about his so-called fans that he's only had for a couple of months. Let's remember and so. I think he's priorities are a little bit nest. If he's not careful if he's not very careful he's going to go from being a guy. We all loved to the most hated guy in america. Dale i know you wanna be famous. No you want to be a tv host. I know you wanna be a model. all of. that's good. I'm not putting that down. But if you blow this up you'll can have none of those opportunities instead of focusing on your twitter followers. Focus on claire. Call her figured. This is and you might. You might still not be together in fact. I don't think you will think you to over how you get out of a relationship is as important as how you get in it and he got an seemingly a beautiful way. Try and leave the same way dale dale. Honestly i've done. I've worked with celebrities. I've been gossip columnist now for a very very long time. If you blow this this is the most important moment of your life. Not just in the ocean lay but also professionally. I honestly playing with fire. My friends stop posting these videos and also to we talked about it on this show. You still under contract with abc. And i feel like for me. That was pretty amazing but to c. J. lo singing next to the first female vice president of color women of color in a department head situation. There's a music in my ear into women. Singing here is one of the most things i've ever seen in my life. I it was all really good. I have to say i really felt like the reformers i thought demi levato did a really really good job. I was really pleased to see her performance. Justin timberlake i mean no matter what happens that man is just attractive and talented right like he always does a good job and obviously lady gaga. You guys the voice on that woman. It's really not a joke. It's like she. is that talented. I just really enjoyed the whole celebration. America and the day was so fantastic. But i was just like. I don't know. I was like on cloud nine says in this happy mood and even if it was just for a night i just i love the positivity love the feeling the energy and i do feel like there's a lot of pressure on President bided and vice president harris to really try to bring this country together. Destigmatizing Crohns With Clare Surette
"All right. Well claire. welcome to the woman. I'm so excited to have this conversation and very happy that you reached out to me in my dams yet. Thank you very much for having me excited clerk. Tommy a little bit about yourself. What led you kind of to the to the crohn's diagnosis. They got your symptoms. So i started getting sick right when i turned seventeen which i'm twenty five now. So eight years ago. It was around christmas time and as gang stomach aches and just a lot of intestinal issues. And i figured you know. It's the holidays on e. l. oughta swedes. It's probably just from that. It'll go away but Christmas came and went new years and months went on and it just got worse and going to the doctors. Every week blood tests all the time they couldn't figure it out until they finally four months later Sent me to gastroenterologist. And first time i saw him. He says rare doing a colonoscopy tomorrow. Something's wrong we need to figure out what's going on inevitably led to the diagnosis Were you frustrated at all that it took that long to just kinda get to get an answer like that to to do a diagnostic test. Like that or is very frustrating. I feel like the not knowing can make it even worse because you're dwelling on that and it's causing all this anxiety and i feel like i was really relieved when i finally was like okay. This has a name. We can do something but i had never even heard a crowns until before this. I didn't realize the road ahead of me what who would really entail. I thought okay. It has a name now. we can treat it. We're done yeah definitely. It was not the case. No i mean. I was just looking up to some more like fax and stuff is is what they krones pertains to in females and i read that fifty percent of women with crohn's disease are under the age of thirty five at the time of diagnosis. So yeah i couldn't really find anything about. Teenagers is much. But do you know the numbers on that at all. I don't know the numbers. I know when i first got sick and i've found that from what i've read. Most people get diagnosed either in the teams or in like early mid thirties around there. I believe l. But when i first got sick my doctors at the time social media was what it is today and the only resource. They could really give me was. Here's this book that this man wrote who like a middle aged man and his journey with groans. I thought okay. That's great. I respect but he's gone through a seminary night school girl. Yeah my told me how to deal with my prom. Dress amoud without fainting in Where i'm getting done and just like to do my soccer game like things. It wasn't relatable. And so i knew from then that i didn't know how but i wanted to somehow use my life my story to reach out just to help someone feel less alone because everyone i've talked to if it comes up in conversation and i say oh i have krones they always say oh my cousin has it or someone i know has it. So this prevalent then. Why aren't we talking about it more. Yeah and why wearing there more resources you know. That's what when you had reached out to me. I looked at your profile. And i was like. You're like a shining low beacon of light you know q. In this krones world. And i was just so impressed by you. Not only like you know. You have an austin money. You have beautiful photos in you know in bikinis sporting near to me and just like here is about us. Female who is taking back the narrative of krones. Thank you. i appreciate that. Yeah the awesome me. I've only had that for about ten months now. So it's still not brand new but still fairly new battle came about just when i started krones. My doctor mentioned like we can go through treatments or we can. There's a surgery option and at the time again because it's not talked about much my in my mind just thought a bag is a colostomy which that's it which is not the case i learned. There's ilyasova measor. Which is what. I have and luke an end in all different versions some can be reversed but anyway i went. I wanted to do work on taking medications. Because i wanted to avoid the bag. I don't know cost right through. How many years. Once i transitioned over to an adult. gi who. he's absolutely amazing. Him and his team at mass general in boston are incredible. But i had gone through every. Fda approved medication for crowns that was available and melt them all. And just whatever was going on with my case. Things just weren't working out. I wanna say twenty eighteen. Things started to really go downhill in my junior year of college and things i can tell things were getting worse and we just constantly trying whatever medications were left and just was not working
No acknowledgement, no thanks for Rosalind Franklin who made the discovery of DNA structure possible
"It's the centenary of rosen. franklin's birth. This year she who made watson crick's revelation of the structure of dna possible. Her photograph of dna made all the difference and was featured in western. Play called photograph. fifty one with nicole. Kidman who else is franklin. But it was after dna. According to patricia farrer of clare college cambridge that her work on viruses and irony made work like this year's fast production of covid vaccine possible all that worth two nobel prices so far. Thank you think just portrait by malcolm. I'm watson i'm creek. Let us show. You are trick. We have found the seed of life sprang from. We believe we're stew of molecular goo with a period of thirty four angstrom. So just think this means to our respective genes that sakes did not be disgusting or you girls. Try that trick of watson and crick and achieved. Double helix lusting cheeky was recited by james watson and francis creek at a symposium in june nine hundred fifty three to celebrate the discovery of the double helix in nineteen sixty two. They received the nobel prize for this work. Along with morris wilkins. They've been basking in the glory of his saints but there was another crucial contribution to solving the puzzle of deny that of the dock lady of dna roslyn franklin. He's francis creek acknowledging homework on bbc radio in nineteen ninety nine. It was fairly fast. But you know we were lucky. You must remember. It was based off the x ray. Were done here in london. Started off by. Murray's wilkins and carried on by rosen in franklin and we wouldn't have got to the stage of least having a molecular model if it hadn't been for their work will the story is very bleak. She was naps. Brilliant x ray photographer and this was how the physical reality of the double helix model was first. Seen because wont watson and crick quarrel remodelers that that is they were abstract scientists. They were thera- titians so they were making the model as it were in their heads out of those bubbles and sticks that we all know so well which made the double helix model. What roslyn franklin's incredible achievement walls that she was a technically quite brilliant with this new and difficult apparatus of x ray photography and she showed this first image. Hilary rose from city university london. She's been a sociologist. of science. Since the mid seventy s and the image is referring to is the x ray picture taken by rosalind franklin niners photograph number fifty one. It displays a doc. Black spotty cross shape which confirmed for watson and creek. They hypothesise that. The structure of dna is in fact. A double helix. Hilary rose is passionate about rosine. Franklin's contribution and believed her story is one of appropriation and rasiah without her consent. These pictures were taken by the third noble prize winner. Wilkins and they were shown to watson and crick in cambridge and this is appropriation. I mean there are harder woods for it. A ratio of course was dramatic in the nobel prize acceptance speeches. Roslyn is by then dead. So little people forget those no question hoping for price. 'cause they not give them to the dead they given to the living so the three man. None of them acknowledged her work public. What she gets is a footnote in morris wilkin so that's the asia and you would have thought on the occasion art a such a thing as the nobel prize. The woman is dead that there would have been case for little generosity. Not a hint of a three man. Just carry on as if she hadn't existed as she hadn't done the pioneering extra work. It wasn't a pool in shabby story. And there's plenty in the history of science strong views from sociologist. Hilary rose no matter which way you look at it though. The mystery of this dark lady is intriguing author. Brinda medics was so fascinated by rosalind franklin. That she's recently completed a comprehensive biography. He she is with robin williams. Rosen franklin's family very well off for intellectual whether or not they're very wealthy anglo jewish bankers they also had a publishing firm for the sons in the family who actually were inclined to banking rutledge and keegan. Paul you're very distinguished people very proud of their heritage and they trace their ancestry back to king david the founder of jerusalem. So i mean this is a family takes its ancestry seriously and so one of the problems i think was not so much her gender but class. She sounded aristocratic to them. She spoke terribly well very clipped and some people just hated that. And it's one of the many ingredients which actually made her disoriented and not as happy as she might have made a very clever little girl. And i mean as she was growing up quite small. She wasn't very clever. Little girl and i discovered family letter from her aunt mamie. Anyway she noticed rosalyn has a six year old and she rosalind is alarmingly clever. She does her sums for pleasure and invariably gets them right and i thought that alarmingly was very significant because roseland had three brothers but the fact that the girls should be the cleverest really did

I liked a lot of products from a lot of those lines. Yes so we're not you know. I don't wanna hear like wait a second. You guys had these people on the show you promote them. What are you saying. You're talking to both sides your mouth. That's not it it's just. There's a saturation of celebrity. Like beauty. lions right now. I'm not sure how many more we need at like. I'm not sure how. But we definitely don't me. I don't know how many more the world needs. And i'm not really sure what. Us ps unique selling points. There are if we have too many more celebrity cardi right now through zeta-jones with her mar inducing video. Yes with her eyeliner. Like i just. I'm just not really sure how much more we can add to the conversation right now before it becomes like a parody. Do you remember all the fragrance lines came out like the end of the two thousands. It was like every celebrity became drink. Eventually yeah yeah i just. i'm nervous. Were getting to that point. Yeah i i. I agree with you and i think in general i found my job as somebody. Who's a beauty journalist. Who wants to try things and bring you the best. I found it really hard this year. There was just too damn much. Yeah so naughty naughty to the faceless agency i like it or blaming agents. It's true because those people get money out of it to all right Minority was my naughty mask. Ni twenty twenty two biggest off twenty twenty mask asked matthey okay so you guys know what that is that we didn't it didn't even this existed. We have the name. we had hormonal acne. Which often shows up on the lower half of the face. This is different. I got pimples this year in my mustache area. that's not hormone acne. That's mask me. Get this the american academy of dermatology published research papers. An eighty three percent of healthcare workers in china suffered skin problems on their face this year. Because everybody's walking around in a pp's which great a warm moist environments will logged pours. Acne and i'm just going to add onto acne naughty enough. it's not just acne. I was doing some more research on this and basically what the mass does. It just creates an inclusive environment the same way like your pimple patch does when you're healing pit bull that's good in some cases but not when you're using active ingredients so hey guys out there if you don't have mask knee. Heavy notions really read or the sides. Of your mouth cracking. Maybe he's a retinoid. It's more effective under that hot moist -clusive environment so like you gotta you gotta like pare back on all the active stuff.

"Curses is the best. I love him. You feel like he's retired about talking about the franchise and but when you ask him questions he rolls he loves it. Yeah you do. I always used to think that. Chris probably like. I'm just sick of this thing. I don't want to talk about anymore. But then given the right circumstances like giving them the environment to which you know you ask them not the typical questions but different questions and you hear it a lot more now than ever with different podcast. Not just ours. He really enjoys it. And you know what. Chris is getting more and more into as he gets more and more comfortable which you know. He's twenty years in. He really enjoys talking about the just amazing team behind the scenes. Like he loves talking about the production. The cameras the people helping out. I think he's a super grateful that they've helped him have a job for this long. Yeah it's such a great family. I wish you guys could could know them on the other side. I really wish we can interview some producers. But i know that's probably not allowed but they're great people All right well you guys. We have some hot topics I starting with clare wearing the a massive engaging ring the day that her final episode aired ben. Did you see this. yesterday. I did a big deal. I felt like maybe it was sort of like a commercial for washing the episode with the election. And everything like maybe people's minds weren't on the fact that there is going to be a bachelorette episode airing on a thursday and then the ring was kind of like i'm going on and remind everyone that. Be that possibly the engagement episode of tonight. It's you know what's going on. I think she's super happy. And i think she's probably way for this. I imagine right now. That clair's just like. I want to be done with the criticism. The the hey and move on with dale and make this thing work In fact we saw them on instagram. Live last night. And i thought it was really cute. I thought it was a great way for them. To kind of.

"She needed to come. Because the protocol for getting tested medically to be safe. Figure out what we would do with closed because it's not as easy as going shopping because we can't shop for you so we had to figure out a lot of things so she was there but she knew as well as all of us that it wasn't a set deal until this couple was you know well not until they were engages until clare made a definitive decision swats bananas to me. Is that over the past two weeks or so. There's been a lot of rumors that claire didn't feel like she was in charge that she felt like she had to go along with productions decisions but watching this episode makes it seemed like she was given the decision making power the entire way through and that she made the decision that she loves so much. So how do you address those rumors floating around. I don't know. I haven't heard claire say anything until i hear claire. Say something along those lines. Then you know all i can say is an i texted with clare back and forth and i think she understands his too. He was all in in her hands. I mean i can't tell you how many times i sat down with her. And you saw a lot of it and said you tell me. Where does this go from here. What do you want to do. I want time with dale okay. I mean in unprecedented fashion. We stop the show and gave her a bizarre Kind of overnight fantasy suite in the middle of the show. that's just it's unprecedented. Not only did she have control but we also moved mountains to make things happen. That shouldn't be happening right now. And so yeah. I mean she had total control. You don't yes we push things along because that's how that's also how the show goes of okay. Well this is the next step. They crossed that hurdle. Okay now this is the next step. Where does this go from here next engagement. And then once there was an engagement Then there's no forcing it's just that's where the show me. I don't know what else we would have done. Just what show them eating dinner every night. Together what links a television show but even with that said you saw in the teased we still bring them back and we still have conversations. Were still going to keep up with them. You know as things go along but there is no more show. She's not dating anybody anymore. And so i'm not sure what else anybody would want us to do. Things took its natural order and progress and then it was time to move on and start another season of the bachelorette. Now i have a couple more. Follow up questions to that But before transfer transportation just for a bit into mainly bands talking about proposals..

"I have your back and i'll be there for you. You always yeah so then follow up on all of that you you do. You treat this like you. You care about clear. You're treating her like a daughter as a friend when she tells you then. I love dale. And i want this to be done. You then obviously believe like your daughter and son company. Sometimes they say things like that's not good for you. That's not right. Like i need to correct to here but at that moment you obviously believe that was the right thing to do if you allowed it to happen. Why were you so confident. This was the right move. Well and i again. It's i don't know if that's necessarily the case like you know again you go back to being a dad. It's you know my daughter. Taylor comes in and says dad i love. I love tommy. You know we're going to get married and you know she's sixteen years old. Hopefully it's not that drastic And you know tom. He's going to be walking with the liver while but no but you know i've learned if i go in and say taylor your forbidden from seeing him. You're never going to talk to you. Know what's she gonna do. I mean ashley loves into comedies. As much as i do all you're gonna do is make that person run to them immediately and so you know my thing with clare was not to tell her she's wrong because who's to say she is by the way that's something. I learned a long time ago as well like just. Because i think something doesn't make it so it doesn't make it right. It doesn't make it. It's not so black and white and so telling clare from the beginning you're wrong. There's no such thing as love at first sight. Let's naive even stupid and arrogant of me. And so maybe i need to learn something here and so it's more of clear. Tell me from the moment this happened. Which was night one. Explain to me what you're seeing dale and so it wasn't just this his leipold moment. There was several days and several like a few weeks where we were having these deep conversations sometimes on camera sometimes off of like what is it about. What are you feeling. What is it in your past. That's making you do this. You know so when we got to that moment. I did feel secure in that. Okay you are making this decision. And i'm going to support it and it doesn't mean i agree a hundred percent. That's not my job and it's not my job as a parent always agree a hundred percent but it is my job. Once you have made a decision to support you any way. I can and to still be there for you. And it doesn't mean she won't follow her face. It doesn't mean my kids won't fail but you have to be given enough leeway to make your own mistakes in life and again that's not saying this is a mistake but you. That is important that you're not that dad or not. The person that just says ben. You're wrong your immediate like well. That's not giving anybody not to make this political. I think we saw enough of that over the last several years of people. Just cancelling you're telling you you're stupid telling you whatever you're saying is wrong. It's like well. where do you go from that. We're the grace. Where's the war room to talk in debate and have a conversation. How am i ever gonna evolve and learn if you tell me..
Bachelorette Clare Is Engaged to Dale Moss
"Just talk about the bachelorette because not clear finally blew it up last night. Clara n'dale are making the rounds this morning. We'll hear from them in just a minute but first here is just one of the you know kind awkward moments from last night just a little bit yes. Can we cut the part where she starts to get up to hugger because no no no. I need the ring. I don't you stand up yet. I've been waiting a long time for the three only Claire dale really got engaged. We showed you hurrying yesterday by the way it is four and a half carrots it is of course a neal lane creation. Do you think getting engaged was the right move. Oh oh oh. By the way. I'm on i have two sides like one part of me thinks you know what thirty nine i know what i want. Let me just jump in there and get right to it. I don't know these people are like wiping out in these groceries. So i need to get out of this boot camp situation and the other side of me is i would have stayed at least long enough to know dell's middle name like i just and i feel bad and ladies. I love you. And i'm here with you. Especially my ladies. Who are in their thirties and forties. A woman has not been married. It has not had kids. Sometimes we get blinded by that clock because we think it's running out and she just wants to get married and have kids. And i get that but you got really start to think about who. You're marrying what they stand for like. I don't even know if she knows what dell likes to eat
It's official: Clare Crawley exits The Bachelorette — and gets engaged!
"That Claire Crawley walked away into the sunset with her choice, Dale Moss in the middle of the bachelorette season. This has never happened before. This is 1/16 season of the Bachelorette because she fell in love in the middle of the season, she thought it was not worth the other guy's time. To waste their time. She's like I already know who I want. We are into each other, and we are going to be together until the day we die. Like all bachelor and bachelorette contestants are no. But she left the show very unprecedented. And so they brought in a new bachelorette. Her name is Tasha. Adams. She is a flat bottom miss and she, which means she takes people's blood. If you don't know that she's a nurse, and so the guys were braced for her entrance. He was a little bit concerned about blindsiding the suitors, Claire's former suitors, and she said, I just know that this process moves very quickly and you start to invest a lot of feelings Early on. I don't know if that's the case for some of them. On def, So I'm more than happy to have that conversation with them, and if they don't feel like this is the right time for them, or I'm not right for them. They can walk away at this point. She's not going to get her feelings hurt. S so you know, that's that's good of her. She is absolutely gorgeous. I think this is going to be great. In August, she was seen in Palm Springs wearing a teal bikini. And then there was a teaser for Theo episode that she was in season and bikinis a lot basically. It's like when they show the bachelors coming out of the pool or showering. It's like OK, thank you. We know they shower. Ah, and so there's was a to be continued at the end of the show. Next week's Caesar promised. Possible cases of cold feet of some of the guys walking away from this, plus some more answers from Claire and Dale. So they're gonna have a portion of the show. That's like, all right. Well, how did this happen? How did you you know, because there was also talk that during the pandemic when they had to stop filming that they were still in contact with each other. So that's sort of how their relationship blossomed. And, Yeah, I mean, I give a tour. You know why drag it out? If you know you're going to pick and well, she is getting a lot of hate. Oh, it's like this is real life. It's not just a TV show, you know. She

So why ask are we so excited why you ask. May there be an election day and we are still excited to talk on this podcast. It is because we are going to get to talk to talk to maybe the most talked abou bachelorette the most talked about couple. We've ever had ambassador nation and because there are so many questions that we have skipper recap. Why recap this. At this point. We want to get down to the nitty gritty. We want to understand certain things we want to ask questions. So we're gonna sit down with the newly engaged. Couple claire and del claire and dale for all the people who are so upset at the way i say his name. I apologize for my southern accent. Sometimes i they dell but you know who it is and i'm talking about i've given you a pronunciation for both of both of my audiences some who don't mind how i saved some who do but becca. How are you feeling about all this there. So much to get into rachel. I'm feeling so many different emotions right now. I mean to your earlier point yes. It is election night. I have not drank in a month. So i i'm treating myself tonight because i feel like i'm going to need it and while our hi there. I'm so excited that we can still record today and have like this nice happy outlet to just have a nice chat with as you said the newly engaged couple and it sounds crazy to say this because it was the probably the quickest engage. The show is this franchise has ever seen so. I'm so excited to have them on and talk about their special engagement that the opportunity to talk to them just hours after this news broke. We're the very first podcast with the first people to have them on to talk to them to pick their brain so you know we're giving you guys the exclusive so it feels like christmas came early. We usually obviously have to wait much longer. But we have them on. So what a gift. It is to have them on to be able to have them dish. Give us all the dirty details but also like just really embrace the love that we've seen in this short amount of time so i can't wait to have them on to chat with them and to of finally cheers to them. So let's get going xactly. Yeah we're not gonna even do all the talk and stuff before. I think you guys know. We talked to claire twice on this podcast. Already and dare i say three times is charm equitas the third time we get the happy couple together. And you if you've followed clair's journey even specifically just with this podcast. You know exactly what clair's about who she is and what she wants and what she was going after and she didn't hold that back at all whether the viewers liked it or not clear followed her heart. She follow her own path and she broke the rules. And we're here to say we freakin loved. Every single bit of it. That she did what was best for clare lennon the end of the day. She can say she's happy. And we know that you guys have watched a couple of journeys these last this last year and maybe things didn't turn out the traditional way and even with clare things have been traditional in the way they panned out but you got the traditional happy ending and we are going to ask them all the questions about how they're doing birthday stand and how things came about the way they did and what comes season and what stood call you want. What's to come for these two and so rachel. We obviously have to talk to them about what's to come because our listeners. You obviously diaz you comment on our photos all the time we hear you we see you or gonna incorporate a lot of those questions and answers today so i know you guys don't want to just keep listening to rain. I speak so we're going to just bring them on right away. Skip three cap and get it straight from the horse's mouth. Yeah let's go like like what are they say. What what is the young kids say. Let's do this straight okay. What okay. let's do the damn thing. Listen let's let's get straight to this whether it's let's do the damn thing or as the kids say let's do the straight no chaser you guys. Let's bring on claire and dale. All right let's yet in to.
Brandi Glanville Apologizes for Tactless Erika Jayne Divorce Post
"The real housewives are at war again. This time over a divorce so brandy glanville is being accused of cashing in on her friends. Heartbreaks brandy posted a link on instagram to story announcing erica james divorce. She later deleted the post in. Tweeted an apology. Saying i took xanax earlier. Because of what's going on in the world. I didn't see the post on my idea. Erica jane until this eve. And i deleted it the second i saw it. As i've said in the past. I leased my social media out i in no way would have been that insensitive interesting least her social media out meaning like she has a social media manager or did somebody probably controls. It and i do believe that she does that. I don't think brandi glanville is trying to start a media conglomerate and is trying to be the next to you but i do think that sometimes celebrities let loose and let people just control their things. Get in hot water. Sometimes i mean what would make even the social media possess. This is a good idea this rain here. People are talking about her doing this. This is why they do it. But i mean for her to write that that statement astor if i were i would be very upset at the first the first of all. I'm still unclear charisma. To your point about what leasing her social media out means like to me. It sounds like she allows other people to go on it and post on behalf of her but just on behalf of what they think is like. I don't know just determine a little confusing hard to follow. I don't think brandi glanville type of personality as we've seen many times over like put her foot in something and then take it out and be like i didn't mean to do that. I think she sees things through. So i believe her when she says i wasn't aware what was going on but i just think it's also one of those things that's like why this is like another little thing that brandies attached to that like. She didn't mean anything by but like now. Everyone's speculating insensitive. Don't you guys thing. Set the th. That should not have no women. No none of the women should be talking about erica. Cajones divorce on their social media. That can be on the show dealt with on the show reportedly win a celebrity has a lincoln their bio. It can usually mean that they're getting paid for the post. And i just checked right before we came on the air. The lincoln brand new bios till goes to this story. She didn't website I'll double check. The website will pay you to post for them. I have friends that are in acquaintances. That are famous and relatively known people that i talked to on a weekly basis. And of course i hear gossip about them all the time. I never bring it up until they bring it up. Because i never know win. Our how are what they want to talk about. So i'm going to bring it up not gonna bring it up. Panning could be the camera like here. This why it's still linking to it. Okay so i'm very confused on. If she really is sorry didn't mean to lease it out. Why still keep it in the bio. Unless like she has a contract with celebres and she needs to keep it up there for certain amount of hours. Something along those lines to nevada those votes. Because you're looking way too deep. Today's use your tactic somewhere else where it's day. I'm just curious. Okay well good news you guys. Maybe bad news. I dunno depends on how you feel about the whole relationship and the whole situation but we just got some photos of bachelorette clare crawley that. We have to talk about claire. Who spotted in her hometown rocky and massive diamond ramo on that finger. John don't do it like no. Don't talk about the shape of the rig. You know. I mean these married. Here's the thing that's definitely a wedding ring or engagement ring She knows she's going to be photographed. She knows we're going to speculate about that isn't the isn't the again. I'm not the biggest bachelor person in the world but isn't the point to like keep the end result of what happens to you completely secret until the series is wrapped. I don't think she really cares. Guys this really crazy that's right. I don't think she gives a shit. And i think the reason is. I don't think leaving the show was her choice. I've looked back and looked at this. Producer are abc executive. Did this podcast with nick. Vile and in the podcast. They talked about clare crawley and the producer said and i quote when she gave herself. The group rose because dell wasn't in the group that's when we started making the call. So i think at that point clare. Crawley was told. You might have to leave with dale this unacceptable. And you have to go. If they're going to break the contract and break the rules. I'm gonna do the same damn thing and i'm going to rub it in their basis. I found love and i. That's a good point because typically the reason why is because they are under contract and they can truly get sued if they let the cat out of the bag too soon. Isn't that's why there's sometimes photos so adamant about keeping secrets but you may have good argument there. If they if she feels that she could that they've worked the contract. I ending her season. Then she might say all bets off. Y'all can just no. I did damn thing now. Do you think she actually went through and got married forty. She's just letting everybody else because also that's that's public record right like if people get married. That's the bachelor does not control the courts like we. We could look that up. It's interesting. I think if things were so bad obviously. This season has taken a turn. That i don't think anybody has seen it bachelor history. I can't believe. I just said bachelor history a cod my street. Anyway so i don't. We've never seen this in the past. But i don't think. I think if there was such tension between her and This show we would hear more about that. Obviously we've heard about her leaving. I don. I don't know. I think it just keeps people engaged.
Hope Springs - Growing Flowers From Seed, Clare Foster
"Welcome back to our conversation with clear Foster Gardiner writer editor sharing with us about her garden life journey especially, as it relates to growing flowers from seed were back to hear more about the different kinds of flowers to grow from seed including annuals by annuals, grasses, herbs, perennials, and more. When I look at the. The table of contents and see. How that flows? What criteria did you to set for your contents and the flowers you would include which aren't always traditional flowers. They are also flowering herbs, flowering grasses, It's a, it's a lovely wide range. Will thank you. Yeah. It's it wasn't encyclopedic in any way we didn't want it to be really we we wanted to include the plants and the flowers that we will really growing and that we knew worked really for people. So, cutting flowers and as well as herbs and the the more the edible side of things Yeah. So we really focused on on the plants that the that we were we were growing and that we could recommend first hand. and and I think again because Sabina was working for children seeds and had access to different varieties we were quite Specific in varieties that we were recommending even though those change all the time I mean this quite a few. Varieties now of a certain flowers that we would have put in and they've the because they they just changed the the whole time and find new things. New Exciting colors. So yes. So just just the the the plants, the that we recommend ourselves I think was the the main criteria. And the publishers wanted us to do the be friendly section which I think was a very good idea actually because I think there's a loss of interest in. Oversee ecology and biodiversity biodiversity at the moment and insects in particular. Yeah and I I. Really. This is one of the things that resonated with me about the book when it first came across my desk was the way it is you know it's a pretty straightforward book. It's about growing flowering plants from seed to fill out your your garden over the course of the season. on one level, and then when as I was reading, I kept sort of making little ticks along the margins or underlining because he does get to a lot of universal cultural conversations. The gardening world is having is grappling with right now that I think are all important and you know among those would be Ecological and Seed bio-diversity. So you know just the fact that of trying to grow from seed opens up for almost any Gardner a whole range of plants you would never find at the local garden center and it also then as you are seeing, as C. J. changes changes with the trends if you are growing from seed in that seat is able to come true from seed that you know it reproduces for itself. You are also protecting the biodiversity in A. City of seed so it gets to cede sovereignty and. And I think that is a I'm not sure what it's like in the UK. But that is a very big topic of conversation here for heritage varieties for culturally significant varieties among different groups of people. The indigenous seed keepers network comes to mind immediately the seeds of the African diaspora here in the US is it's a big part of that garden communities, conversation and then you know you, you mentioned the fact and it's clear if you ever grow from seed, it's much more. Economical you spend a lot less money. You create a lot less plastic waste in the world because you don't come home with your you know ten I'm not sure what the equivalent would be in the UK. But you're fourteen dollar one gallon pots using a lot of soil that comes from somewhere and water and and whatever chemicals might have been put on it at the nursery you bypass all of that which I think is an important thing to point out and Made me laugh when I saw comment on one of your instagram posts claire from Genie Blom who said you know annuals are going to save the world and Which is, which is true. But you you never you never preach these things in the book they come up as a result of what you're what you're. Educating people about and sharing with people because you never get far from the fun and the color and the joy. So. As you were working on the book with Sabina were some of these bigger cultural conversations sort of. At the forefront for you. Yes. Yeah I think so. the trouble is with with the book of of of this sort of this size. Is. You're limited with your word count. Quite the lot of text was cut, which is, which is a bit of a shame in a way but but yes, absolutely, I mean these things it is the subtext for the for the whole book. Ready. But more than anything I think an keeping that content that the simplicity simplicity of the framework. Was Key because I just want to encourage people to try to try doing it. And and Yes for the fun of it and the Colorado Avalanche in the garden. And and and. For The expense lack of expense that you can create your own garden so cheaply and so quickly I mean I've just you know I haven't had to ask by any annuals for my pots this year I've grown from seed and and And it so satisfying I, mean just just the whole process of it I I didn't think I can kind of do without it now it's something that.

It's so funny. Producers are like hot, just one more a little cut and then you can go get dressed like just one more and you're just like poor guy. We have to mention Blake before we go. You know he made a big splash last week for being open about communicating with Clare earlier before the season started liked. This week he was like I'm going to continue to not play by the rules. Which I respected because I don't think for Clare she wants a guy who's GonNa play by the rules because she wants somebody to pursue her so hard like we were talking about before. So. When he comes in crashes that date even though his team didn't win the you know the evening part of the day. I was like I think Claire. Is GonNa like this. Of course, the guys are going to be up in arms about it, but I think this is gonNA teach them all lesson that Clare's go. It's all about. You pursue me in any way you can figure out I don't care whether or not. Yes it's for the rules are what? I think it was really really cool that she didn't kiss him I thought that it said a lot about like where her energy was off the guys that one I.

Okay. If you wanted to see it all, I'm going to show you. Like he's just went for very confident man just like. Yeah I'm the guy in the corner. Like. NASCAR, it like he obviously is very confident in what he has and what he wants to show I watch this this maybe I'm crazy and maybe you guys can remind me. But this felt like it was pushing the envelope more than any other day I can remember on on the Bachelor and they pushed the envelope every season. There's always that controversial thing that happens that goes. Next. You know next year it's not going to be as much or whatever but like. Yeah, this fell. This felt like a lot. Okay City. So I'm thinking that it wasn't there the excuse here that it wasn't as much as we could make it is that it seemed playful it didn't seem sexual and it seemed like if the there wasn't peer pressure involved in this maybe just viewing of it it seems like if one of the guys was not okay, he could humorously be like, sorry, guys going to skip this out and walked off fair enough. Yeah, I agree with you Ashleigh. I think that like I think when you go on this show, there has to be and correct me if I'm wrong Ben but like from your perspective like there. There's always birth coming off for the guys. There's always some sort of. Stuck I and I know that the different story when you're like censoring body parts and stuff But it did seem like it was done in in fun and no one felt pressured except I guess if Yosef would have been there, he wouldn't have done and that's another thing too is when you have a child. Yeah. It changes things like I remember when I was on Bachelor Pad and it was this kissing contest and I was like. I don't know if I want my daughter to see me kissing like. Fourteen guys in one day so An. But Yeah I. Think I think it'll be interesting to see how people respond to it and what people are feeling and thinking about it and then. How do you think Clare handled it? What do you? What do you think of Clare Kinda have been clear instigated it I also don't think she like really gave praise. The guys who did it I think she was like these guys being guys and that's where the Yosef thing is the issue where he says Clare was being tasteless for being okay. With that because I don't think Claire had anything to do with this. This was. What do you think? Oh, I don't know Ben Tell us like you've been in her position like. Do. You think she had the option to say like, no, I don't feel comfortable with them. Getting naked or she definitely did. However I get the playful side so I get A. Dodge or how can we make dodgeball more funnier fun now I don't know if at the time she realized that like the guys would own up to and she's like, yeah, screw it. I'll take it down to my. Yeah whatever you want. I don't. So here's something I'm going to say and I don't know how how will come off like I didn't watch this in feel uncomfortable or like as. Because but.

"Clare to just be proactive and just say this this just isn't GonNa work like. When I'm going to walk out I respected that move why do you think so for both of you though? Why do you think? That language was something for Clare that she was just right away like this is a sign. This is a red flag I have to send you home now like out of everything that like the Joseph's of the world had been doing and saying and and everything that happened on night one of the controversy that happened the Group, day? Why do you think that sit down with him was such a wait you're gone like this is is just demonstration of the emotional intelligence intelligence that he has and that its needs a lot more maturing to catch up to her. Well, and I think she clarified that too I think she was like listen i. AM In a place in my life where I want more substance if that's the only thing that you can I mean I think she I think that she expressed her solve she explained where she was coming from and. I would never want to speak for her but I do think that she she could clarify that. To a small degree I mean, I'm sure there's a lot more to it. It's interesting it it was. A big moment in this show because I came off of I watched this episode. So Michelle asked me on the podcast. We had a couple of people on talking about. All right WHO's their favorites and all the girls are like, Oh that brand and he's accused so good looking like this week. I'm going to watch brandon like I'm going to focus on this because. I feel like the front runner, right? If everybody's loving on them and so this was a big moment for all of a sudden like, oh, he gets his sit down. This is going to be his shining moment the music's GonNa start playing the background it's going to be beautiful and it's going to, and also it's like all right he's going home and I'm like well. That was it I remember. Remember Fun for that scene. He said that even night one he got off to an awkward star and he wasn't proud of his solo time with her right? Yeah. He was out of his. Guys just freeze it under the lights. Maybe we'll see him come back paradise though since physically he might so desired. Your yes, you're right. So, then I think the final thing we have to talk about. Is the Strip date. I know it was so if I'm dying to know what Ben Things about. This is what Ben has most to say about. So we'll let him take that over. Yeah. Okay. So I. I. Off. Shocking. I think we can all be cleared. There's a double standard right now like one hundred percent like it's very, very obvious double standard that was presented and that I don't know if the show is trying to send a message saying, Hey, there is an obvious double standard or not but I watched this and.

"So many times we go. This is like just fantasy land and I think one cool part about having this in a bubble is it's making these dates less luxurious and making them more relatable and I'm really enjoying that. Yeah. Compare. That was totally well fed and I think that I think that there does need to be a lot more healing around the masculine I feel like there's so many men who are so unable to express their emotions and it's it's like making it harder for the feminine to kind of you know be more vulnerable and it's a cycle right but I think that what I think that's so cool about Clare at the Bachelorette is. We're seeing a more mature like approach to dating that I think is really needed right now in the world I mean she embraces herself so much and I love seeing it like she doesn't care what she looks like now, and by the way she looked as she physically. So stunning I mean physically I know that's not what you're saying but like physically I'm like bread is looking hot so hot. So hot I guess on that. Note, let's go to brandon which on the on the next group date he says, I am really I signed up I was so excited when I found out it was you like I wanted to be here for you and then she said, well, what is it about me that resonated with you and then he really couldn't say anything other than he was physically attracted to her which, of course, girl wants to hear but not in this circumstance. You WanNa go well, of course you're beautiful but there's this and that and that and he had nothing behind your beautiful I couldn't believe that he couldn't just pick something out of his brain that would apply. To anyone that you can really you could pin you could pinpoint a couple of qualities about somebody within twenty minutes of knowing them and he he throws. Yes Aspen again it feels like it's just.

"However, I always said that if I met my husband and that wasn't a direction that our life was pointed together and I met him on the show I definitely said that I would. Drop that dream and have my alternate dream which would be to have to be married and have a family. So, I prioritize love and family marriage over the career aspirations going into the show but I said Hey. The more realistic way. way of thinking about going to the show. Is that you're not going to find your person through it but you're going to. You know gain a lot of. Character skills perhaps that you're going to travel, make friendships get experience get out of your comfort zone. but I know it's unrealistic especially on the bachelor to be like, I'm going to be the one of the thirty that ends up with this person and then not only ends up with him at the end of the show but like ends up actually getting married. So I had like a realistic approach and then like a dream approach to it and. Amazingly I ended up with both. Yeah. I know I'm definitely an exception to the rule air. AM In many instances. So I guess the bottom line is i. hope that Dale has the same sort of intentions. Of course I don't think that you should completely abandoned any career aspirations for a relationship I. Think you should find a relationship that allows you to do both, which is how I should have been thinking and feeling beforehand to but yes. So I hope Dale is prioritizing Clare and whatever may come of their life if they ended up together together. Then, he is prioritizing becoming the next Ryan seacrest his I at the time when I signed up for the show was like I hope to be the next Juliana Ransack or Maria menounos. Yeah. Well, right over I also. Realized this. But as this headline came out, there's obviously an article about Dale and it's he says that he is obviously a model that we knew that. But I didn't realize that he was a sports and entertainment host that was something I didn't know was on his resume and I didn't know that was what he was working for. You know I think for me this comes at a weird time because we're seeing clips of the men getting upset with deal. We see clips of the men saying deals now who you think he is and so like. I'm on edge right now right like Clare's a friend she he obviously is the front runner. It's not a secret anybody that he's a front runner and so like we said last week targets on his back he's GonNa be criticized for everything we'll see how this plays out but the hope is that like he's in this For. Clare in if a career comes from it, which it has for me has for you and that's fantastic. Then great but.

"Now she knows how it works. She knows. What she wants I mean we see her saying it. On you know on the teaser episode like she's here for one reason because she hasn't settled before, she doesn't want to settle now. And we're definitely seeing a new type of lead. The season like Clare is definitely more outspoken from the get-go. She definitely has a direction in mind. You can see that like, Hey, I want this to go this way, and if you're not on board with that like I'm going ask you to go home. And I I don't know what it means when she blew up the Bachelorette. I I'm I'm now intrigue more than ever with how she's kind of walking through this season and knowing that like the rumors out there that she blew the Bachelorette. Was this part of her doing was this forced onto her you know that this come out of nowhere like I'm super interested in the story line. Now to see how did this culminate to an end for Clare if it did and was it something that ended happily for her or not? Yeah it's almost like she's jumping the gun here by saying like what you're. GonNa see unfolded in the next couple of weeks. Was Me it don't ever think that it was it is that gets interesting well. you know Teixeira atoms. Rumored to step in at some point, we still don't know if that's true or not, or or anything about that potato Adam in on this and she says ways in unclear season and says, it's just like a bizarre event watching this season fold she she says a couple things like it's weird to see people kiss it's weird to see people get close to each other. I agree that's been odd like. I mean, even when I'm watching movies that were recorded and even like put out to as pre cove it anything on TV, where people are like in close proximity to each other I'm like what do you got a back up? There's this little thing in my head that just like BBB backup. It just feels weird but but the Bachelorette I mean, I feel like it's not as weird because you you just they're so open about the steps that they went through but chases saying it is funny. The way that we are finally able to see human interaction on TV, without mass without separation and I don't think we can like as fans. Just completely forget that these people were locked in quarantine. No matter what for months leading up to the show so. There is a lot of like bill up energy and there is a lot of like I would say this I mean, I don't know if you feel this way actually talking to people right out of quarantine weird like in person like I had a hard time making eye contact I had a hard time like. Yeah like it was weird because I'd spent so much time alone in so much time like locked in a house that when I was introduced to the public again, it took me a bit to kind of get my like social skills I..

"Game alum. He spent time with Ashley and I in Vermont. Just a few short years ago when lives looked a lot different He was able to spend time with Clare on that season get to know her as a person but I also know he has some stuff of his own going on air bigger. Welcome back to the almost soon as podcast man, it feels good how you guys doing. We're good. How are you? Nominal MAZING. So we're having a whole bunch of people on this week to celebrate Clare Because her season premieres next week you were not in the Bachelor Winter Games House long but based on the couple of days you get to hang out with Claire. What was your impression? Clear. And I actually got into. People don't know. as saying those words, I was like I think there's something sort of monumental there. Yeah. Oh actually quite clear I think she is. She's authentic on real on she's about her business she says when she fails thanks, she's a pisces if I'm not mistaken the birthday is March twentieth. So I'm Pisces. So actually your pricey? So. I kinda know how we are we're. Why do I feel like he's an he might be an aries. She's GonNa cuss just he's let first day she lasts pricey. Yes. But I mean she solid you know, I, think she she's a woman. That's what you call a woman right there guy great. One She Ate Fano bs you ain't playing no games in she hit a claim her territory in which you need so on is this a genuine good real soul us will like to describe her but yeah, you got into an argument. So what was I would tell him her I think I was telling her I said is a guard up so much you Betcha guard was what is that about? And I think it got to a point where she told me about the Pash season she was on if I'm not mistaken, we talked about her dad for a moment we have di Di di Di Komo is like off camera maybe they caught some of it, but it was live it and then we kind of had like. Claimed it up. It was cool. We just we had a moment, but I remember that day Vermont reported by the fireplace in. She was she was let me. Like I don't know that initial conversation Noah was something about her head in her guard up maybe I have my guard up I know it's something around those municipal what three years ago so it's been a while but. But she's Yeah. That was the conversation and I think we all expect. Those honest authentic moments that come from Clare's her season approaches I don't think any of us are not thinking that if if somebody says something that maybe disagrees with or. That, she will not stand up and put her foot down I think and you know we've said many times but I always have the theory that know the it does it doesn't matter if the Bachelorette or bachelor is likable like they can always be like on TV, I think the mark of a really good bachelor bachelorette is how they react really difficult situations and I that's why I've always thought clearing..

And I mean honestly, you don't know what you know. You don't know how you'RE GONNA act. What was his initial reaction instinct? It was not as. It wasn't as dramatic is I had hoped I walk out of the bathroom. I don't even give him time to thank your look or anything immediately just word bomb it were pregnant and he knew seconds to register in his brain and then he was just like Oh my God are we really wow. Kelly. Just sitting in processing sitting processing and Like. Yeah, that's that's it. That's all I got and I think you know, and then about a few minutes later is when he threw up everywhere and so still processing or. Think. Ultimately. I mean without having said, he is thrilled I mean he wanted to be a dad last year. So this is used girls minus the. Vomit. Speaking of vomit, how is your first trimester been? Feeling. Good. I have had morning sickness. Oh, good for you. I would. I am lucky in that aspect I. It was really really tired lot of fatigue lot of loading, but that's about it I really I was shocked because I had. Prepared myself for. The worst and it it didn't come. That's amazing. Good. For you, it's amazing. Leslie we we hear almost famous podcast want to say congratulations on all this stuff I mean that's just a huge deal for you and in. So many ways and moving back home is obviously a big move and people love you and follow you because of your travels and because if your adventure and this is a new adventure one that we can't wait to fall along with people out there listening go hey, I just need a little bit more of Leslie Murphy in my life where can they follow you? Where can they tune into this journey? I love it. I can tune in various places when being instagram at Lesley Ann Murphy or my blog the road less traveled with one S as. We can't let you go before we talk about Clare. A course you and Clare got really close during Bachelor. Winter Games. Tell us all your thoughts about her being the Bachelorette. If you talked to her since she's left the show or anything that you've got. I know and we were all there together, a Bachelor winner game. So you guys know just as much as I do but I love. "It was never intended nor is it still the place for bowling in for putting other people down conversations in the healthiest ways are wanted needed accepted But we hope this facebook group is a representation of all of our listeners, including Ashley and myself and our team. We. Hope this facebook group is a representation of all of our listeners, Ashley Myself and our team. And it won't be tolerated to make other people feel less than or to bully or to threaten that isn't accepted. We don't want it there and so please if you're part of that group encouraged kindness. Encourage Love Acceptance Understanding gentleness and listening that is what our hope is. That is what we ask of all of us together As you've noticed here recently Ashley, and I had to do a lot of listening a lot of learning a lot of understanding and I will tell you that I am better for it. I'll speak for Ashley and say that she is better for it. And and we hoped for all of you. So we want to start with that that is really important it is something we will be monitoring but we just we want to be able to continue to have that platform and in that place to speak and so hey, we can move on their Ashley with some bachelor headlines and there are many juice I don't know how they keep doing it but bachelor people keep doing crazy stuff but the first headline is Chris Harrison on what to expect from season sixteen of the Bachelorette. He says and I quote it's a wild ride this according to people. Okay. So Harrison says that the drama start on night one, he also says that there will be an unprecedented twist season sixteen beyond usual fights and romantic dinner dates I. Wonder what he's referring to there. He then goes on to say something that I actually think it's Kinda odd and I don't really know if I like it. he goes what I can confirm is that this is Clare Season One, hundred percent it's all hers. It's about her story and everything that happens after that you'll just have to wait and see. What the heck don't you feel like that's a really rude. But we put a good Ashley. Tell me if I'm wrong and a Lotta. Times, you educate me on all this stuff. But. Like we still don't know what -tations role is in this right Sure. But if we come to find out in week three or whatnot that she becomes the Bachelorette as everyone is reporting. Isn't that just weird to say that it's one hundred percent Clare Season and it's all about her like that's so weird. Yes. So there's like to pass here. Either one is they've really duped us in. Little Roll this yeah. Right and the whole time they've kept it a secret which, hey, as you know, the bachelor is really good at keeping secrets or. Teixeira is a part of the season. And this ends up being a really weird comment et think it's just gonNA end up being a weird comment I could even try to excuse it by saying like maybe they have clare be part of the season throughout the entire thing they're always checking up on her you know she's part of at least five minutes of every episode. But the fact that he says, it's one hundred percent Clare. Season is super interesting I'm not hating on Harrison. We Love Harrison, but this sounds like an extremist comment..

"And Mom and Dad Julie had a very small waiting and then went on their honeymoon and then mom came back to help look after her mother in his final wakes and dad went back to Milonga for dinner to do his job. So I often think about that these newlyweds there were separated straightaway because mother was about to go through A. Very great loss in her life. So just what start to a married life I think would have been so hard when did they move to Clare? At Bingham will longer about a year. I, think maybe even less than that and indeed got off edge the permanent position of railway stationmaster in Clare. So they moved up there and it's about two hours from north of Adelaide and it's now I can of course, can be very much better because I love clay but I'm shaped by clearing by by the House that. I grew up in I know that and this station clear the station master's house over in the came with the House and dead was was obscene. He's he's Urawa station master's house, and it was his big beautiful sandstone house really close to the railway station and we kind of in a family through been a smaller station master's house I might not have as many brothers. They kind of had to fill the rooms up really, and so that's where we were all raised and it was such a perfect place to grow up because it was on the edge of town. Clear. So cross the road from us. We're gum trees and clear. So Bushland pretty much down the road was the railway station. So the tracks ran really close to our house as well and dad's workplace, which is the station. Master's office, but we were also very short walk to the Clare Mainstream. So we could move very easily or I always felt idea from being a Bush kid or a town kid or you know tormenting my father and his colleagues in the station office. So it was like kind of beautiful safe interesting world than we could move between. So easily where already vineyards planted around that Klay Valley could could you see them growing up? Not from where we live but we did leave just next to the Clare Valley winery, and so join vintage with the clinking clanking of the you know the older machinery with vintage in the the tractors coming up pulling of the Detroit is full of the gripes, and there's a real smell of course in in a one area during bench crushing and the justice, another the grapes and everything. So so I was more aware of the mechanics of the rather than the beauty of the it was the the winemaking itself that that I was really familiar with growing up and tell me more about this station master's house. What did it look like from the outside? So it was up on a height so it had a terraced garden..

"Your dvr. This is the Ben Nationally, I almost famous podcast with iheartradio. We're back. Yes. We are Ashley Woods Good. Girl. Hey guys. So last week you know we talked all about Clare and Teixeira and what the heck is going on in Palm Springs. I mean, you guys obviously know that Ben and I are kind of kind of no going on because there are some pictures of me that leaked. Okay. So I can't hide it from you guys but I also have to say that I don't think it's my place to speak on what's going on down there until the bachelor ABC Warner. DISCUSSES FOR THEM? Because there has been no confirmation from the bachelor camp. And I mean Ashley don't get me wrong but we don't want to spoil the whole season on this podcast like there are things that we we have to hold back and less You know they're going to be made public, which obviously this whole thing going on in Palm Springs has been pretty public it's been. It's been pretty talked about what do you exactly talking about like did you feel like you didn't share enough or you shouldn't. Yeah. Okay. Okay. So there there is obviously now people are like Oh actually lying she liked knows what's going on Right. So I think that I'm lying but I'm also I'm I'm not at a will to be able to I'm not going to spoil it right Well and in your in your defense you didn't lie because when we did the podcast last week the lot of this was still unknown to you. That's very true. That is very true because I had not seen. The bachelorette or been on any sort of set at that point? So that was something I wanted to say. But there was also some stuff that I felt like I was maybe hypocritical about last week because I was like I'm the girl who says you can fall in love I fell love at first sight and then I was saying that. Clare leaving after twelve days with the guy seemed too risky. So I have like a whole bunch that I wanted to say about that. Say IT Ashley Okay. So last week I seemed a little hypocritical when I was talking about Dale and Clare Dale we talked we named him right last week. Dale is the guy that she's rumored to leave with. That's right. Yes. Okay. after after all you know. You guys did see me fall head over heels in love jared immediately the second I. saw him. He was like the center of my whole world and.

You know if you've done it before. Those is SAS are not about the water being cold. It's about sitting in the uncomfortable and how you handle uncomfortable this now i WanNa know what guys will sit in there and stay in the uncomfortable, or what guys'll jump out I wanNA. 'cause I can stay in. It's built me. A minute is taking me a minute to build that up, but. Does. He Take Willard Chat. That's so funny. That's good that he better laugh it up. TV clear this. You gotta add on an extra layer to that. So when they're in the cold water in the uncomfortable. You have to whoever stays in it. Who chooses to make them share something uncomfortable with you. I liked now. That's really the. Down dirty lava this That's really good. Okay, so I know. This is our podcast, and we usually do the questioning, but while we're here, we're just in this space of sharing advising you know like just lifting each other up Clare. What advice do you not advice book? Is there anything that you want to ask us? Like maybe that's been on your mind. I know we have a sisterhood and we have our own group chat with the Bachelorette's, but maybe there's something that. You. Know it's been on your mind. You WanNa take the chance to ask us. You must actually covered a lot of it. This is more than top to any Prior Bachelet's about kind of doing this season in being new given amazing advice so for me. I am more so actually just WANNA. Thank you for doing that and kind of being here for me because. I think it's an important thing that like you guys this before, and we know that there's only fifteen women or sixty now women it in to have done. This is not real people and the ones that share and the ones that reach out and say this helped me, or this is a piece of advice. I appreciated that and I appreciate that more than anything in the entire world because it's kind of A. Weird space where not a lot of people can understand it relate to it so things. At least you've been reaching out and talking to me and messaging. It's it's kind of lifted me up and maybe feel encourage so. So say thank you for the staff and I'm sure you'll be getting texts being like what about this? That's what we're here for. That's what this is about when you were saying when you were when you were just talking and thank you for saying that. It's our pleasure like this is.
