"Don't miss white And the answer for you and why would you throw it away But I mean we have so much anger that people are saying that just because I don't like that group of people or I don't like this I'm gonna throw away their good ideas Biden has done it with Trump's plan for Afghanistan They do it with if Trump talks about hydroxychloroquine Because he said I hate it Instead of thinking about what is right and what is wrong and what works people are just animated by emotion And so when you talk about these ideas and it's called a race for freedom your book You're saying that it's about ideas that are make that make us free It has nothing to do but you see this going on the 1619 Project and attempt to redefine everything as though truth is not truth as though what Thomas Jefferson wrote isn't true for every person of every color Absolutely right that you're absolutely right Eric That is not a white idea Is an idea given to the create creations of the creator according to Jefferson it is a right that is set us free And when we talk about 1619 project most Americans don't even realize the absurdity of founding this type of argument in 1619 when America did not become a nation until the constitution and in 1789 was actually ratified 1776 We declared our independence 1789 the constitution was ratified America was a country 86 years after America became a country it began to live up to those founding documents that we all were created equal slavery went away in 86 years not 400 years and it wasn't 400 years It was 86 years After the founding of this nation that we had the war that has never happened in any country where a country goes to war against itself in order to free people that are in bondage Those white soldiers who marched north or marched south with their guns in hand they may have never seen a black slave They didn't know what this was all about They just know that liberation was in order here That's what we are That's how we have become the greatest nation on earth Is exercising our freedoms It's amazing what we're talking about I mean this country when you think about slavery slavery is not a color issue There have been slaves since the dawn of humanity There has been evil and sin and humans oppressing humans So the idea that it's a racial thing is just preposterous I mean when I wrote my book amazing grace about wilberforce and the campaign to end the slave trade the British Empire it was so obvious when you look into it that there were black Africans selling and enslaving other black Africans It had nothing to do with color So it's really a bizarre racial to the point of racist retelling of American history 1619 project is just it's a wicked fiction but the left and the media who seem to be going out of their way in terms of their ignorance to not simply to not look at facts They keep promoting this ridiculous idea We've just got a minute left CL and if you want to respond to that Absolutely I will It is again time for all of us to stand up and push back and above all Tell the American story Tell the story how this nation has become a great nation not because of the words written by old white men But because of the principles that this country this nation has been built upon And Erik I want to thank you again for having me on the show I pray that God will bless and keep you and your work and whatever you're doing I pray that God will order your steps in his word And it's good to be your friend and make your acquaintance and hey I believe that we're going to have you on our show Real soon I love to come on I look forward to it You know I would and one of the further debts that I owe Larry taunt and is introducing us just a pleasure to get to know you folks You can follow CL Bryant on Twitter Instagram Facebook at rev CL Bryant the book is a race for freedom The film is run away slave God bless you my friend seal Brian to be continued If you got a problem don't care what it is You need a hand I'm not gonna show you It's not gonna help Hey folks.

"You covered There's someday in the future We might the white people in America might elect a black president Do you think that's going to happen You know Eric that's something that seems so far fetched doesn't it It doesn't seem possible because the racist whites will never go for that You understand that seal Not the race is white people who could elect the first black person And I guess that they want it to Those racist white people could elect the first black president in the future Eric if in fact they could ever get their act together and that racist I just don't see it happening I just think you're being way too optimistic So we've had a black president and that black president brought into ideas that you are outing as anti black This is the irony isn't it In other words that we're being told these are these are a good ideas These are bad ideas These are black ideas Well ironically anybody with cultural Marxist view or a leftist view BLM at the top of the list their ideas are harmful to blacks but somehow because of the way the media goes they're able to act as though this is what black people say This is what they want Same thing with a woman's movement The women's March the day after Trump was inaugurated It was the it was not a women's march It was an anti Trump march But minority groups in this country they sort of ally with the left and saying we speak for black people We speak for women You know that Al sharpton doesn't speak for your average black but somehow he has been able to get away with pushing that idea You see what we need to understand and realize wake up too Eric is this If antifa or Black Lives Matter or Al sharpton for that matter is right then Rosa Parks medgar Evers and doctor Martin Luther King even Malcolm X they have to be wrong There's a stolen valor that's going on in America today One of the things that I really despise and hate is when someone says that they served in our nation's uniform as a soldier and then is found out that they were not That stealing the valor of those who wear the uniform And this is what you are seeing in those movements we've just named like BLM and antiphon and even the Al sharpton of this world They are stealing valor from those who actually did pay the price There is some twisted idea that you can relive The civil rights movement no That room of the past that I mentioned and just a moment to a go We like to spend a lot of time in that room of the past All of us do We have three rooms that all of us live in but that's the one we love to spend time in is that room with the past And there's not a picture There's not a piece of furniture There's not a moment that you can change in that room of the past Why do they want to keep us trapped there Why do they want to keep us thinking about that When you're thinking about that the pain you don't think about that child that is yours That wife that has born that child of that woman that is born that child when you're thinking about how much pain and suffering you've been through to get you you feel like you almost deserve to leave them to their own pain and suffering And that's where liberals socialists Democrats have led the black community but there is an awakening that is going on as we speak And I thank you that you allow me this opportunity to speak on this platform because it is something that need to be heard I do believe And it is a conversation that need to be had We are talking to CL Bryant the film is runaway slave Much else don't go away Don't care Hey folks I've got to tell you a secret about relief factor that the father son owners Pete and Seth Talbott have never made a big deal about but I think it is a big deal I really do They sell the three week quick start pack for just 1995 to anyone struggling from pain like neck shoulder back hip or knee pain 1995 about $1 a day But what they haven't broadcasted much is that every time they sell a three week quick start they lose money In fact they don't even break even until about four to 5 months after if you keep ordering it Friends that's huge People don't keep ordering relief factor month after month if it doesn't work So yes Pete and Seth are literally on a mission to help as many people as possible deal with their pain They really do put their money where their mouths are So if you're in pain from exercise or even just getting older or the three.

"The arc matex show or so they tell me Part of what I like to do on this show is introduce my audience which would be you technically To people that I've gotten to know to new friends new ideas Recently I was in Birmingham Alabama with my friend Larry Taunton He's with the fixed point foundation He's been on this program many times And we were doing a conference there And he brought a few people to the conference as speakers whose work I was unfamiliar with One of them is CL Bryant And I had such a fun time getting to know CL Bryant that I said hey you know what would be a nice gesture to let my audience know who see how Brian is into bless you as I have been blessed So my guess for the day CL Bryant CL welcome to the ark metaxas show Thank you so much for the invitation and I'm glad to be here with you Eric Well we had fun with Larry Taunton in Birmingham and part of the fun for me was getting to know you And so let me tell my audience you've been a minister for over 35 years you're in Shreveport Louisiana You were the president of the NAA CP I want to ask you about that You made a film and award winning film called runaway slave I want to talk to you about that You've written a book called a race for freedom You're a senior fellow with freedom works and you're the host of the CL Bryant show So if somebody doesn't know anything about you I've just listed a bunch of things but tell us I mean I know a little bit about this but I want my audience to get to know you Where did you grow up How did you come to be serious about your faith about your conservative view of political situation What's your story Growing up in a middle class black home upper middle class black home I was privileged as a child growing up in America And many of us don't realize that the middle class black Americans in this country have indeed benefited from the fruits of liberty Only one side of that is shown and my life story is one that shows a conservative core value rooted in grounded and faith the church I'm a child of the 60s I was born in the late 50s And so I grew up in an era when America was changing And of course my parents were activists They were a part of that change My father was in the restaurant business and all of that Some people will say that well maybe you've never seen the other side of it Well well yes we have Because all of our parents and so forth who came to this country regardless of how we got here have experienced struggles And so have mine but it led me through the NAACP and let me also to the Tea Party this lifestyle of mine and his life that I've led in this great land of America And that's the story that I was telling when you and I were in Birmingham together and I do admire your work as well Eric as so many millions of us do And I'm just so happy to be here to share as much of it as I possibly can with you of my life Well part of what our friend Larry Taunton did and organizing this conference was help us to get to know each other not just you and me but the other folks who were there it's important actually that we know who is out there who's working on the same team What is their story When you mentioned growing up in a middle class or upper middle class home we're living in a time right now that makes it sound like being middle class or upper middle class is white That's how crazy things are There is a group of people on the pretty radical left who are redefining everything and they're defining blackness not about the color of your skin but about an attitude It's kind of a Marxist attitude It's a kind of a you know an attitude that's mired in poverty and it's all kinds of bad stuff but you said that your father was in the restaurant business Tell me about your upbringing Tell me about how you got to be where you are how you came into the ministry My upbringing was one as I said centered around the church I grew up baptist born Catholic but I grew up baptist and Shreveport Louisiana And I'm blessed to live in Florida now but just the same my ministry began when I got married as a child of privilege many times you get into trouble Because there's hardly any trouble you can get into that your father who is a person of influence can get you out of And so my ministry began actually when I got involved with a bad crowd and I realized that this is not the way God had intended things for me to be And went through a period of rebellion as a lot of teenagers do But here in America if you are able to apply the content of your true character then God will bless the rest of it And unfortunately here you set the definitions are being changed And you know Eric when we talk about the definitions being changed you also change destinations when you change definitions And unfortunately white Americans in this country are allowing the definition of what those old white men the franklins the jeffersons the handcuffs Alexander's when they signed on to this declaration of a new country They defined something They made it a definition And even those of us who were in chains at the time could see that freedom was all around them And if they could only get become a part of that that is the type of home I grew up in Helping me to understand that freedom is all around you And they didn't go through what they went through so that I could be black My parents always instilled in me that they went through what they went through for me So that they I could be free And I am a free man And it's because I was raised in a home to help myself look at myself helped.

It's that sounds good, too many people until they begin to realize that first of all, it's not free, particularly young people need to realize. In their lifetime with compound interest. "Support president from and his immigration policies are Racists? Anyone who supports this is supporting racism, right? He didn't get the facts right on that. Was that Empty barrels make the most noise. And he was using that It was like giving that to you. Basically that you're right. That's um That's a racist term, too. I'm thinking about that when we looked it up in the dictionary because I had never heard of an empty battle. All right, joining us Now we bring back Horace Cooper, Co chair of the Black Leadership Network Project. 21, Reverend Heavy foot CL Bryant. I never got a ticket because I convert every cop to Jesus when they pulled me over. I get out of tickets by invoking the name of Jesus, our Lord and our savior. Uh, welcome back, Reverend. By the way, I bet you've got a lot of reaction to our last radio program, didn't you? Oh, yes, Sean. There's no question about it and thank you for that. But you know, I gotta be honest is a part of me that just admires the hell out of it because it's but I know it's genuine. That's who you are. You're that guy that would You know, Officer can I Can I pray with you? I could see you doing that to everybody. Because you've done it to me. I mean, Lord God, John, and hey, listen, There's much hope for you. And there's room at the cross. No doubt for you, Shawn. Him. Look, I'm one of the questions that needs the saving part. You know, I'm not. I'm not the great Christian. I got to get better and better. I'm the one that needs Jesus. More more. But anyway, we appreciate you both being back. What's your reaction? Reverend? When you hear that tape You know, Sean, the more I listened to the narrative that going on the more it makes me angry that they believe black people are stupid enough to believe that Democrats are the answer for them. And there they believe that black people are stupid are too stupid to get a voter. I d. I don't know anybody personally Shawn, Black or white. That doesn't have an idea in this country. And the politics and the racism off low expectations is the problem that Democrats have presented to America about black people for the last 60 years. They always want to use us as mascots and pat us on the head and tell us that we can't succeed unless they hold our hands and guide us. They didn't do that to the Italian saying dread to the Jews. They didn't do that to anybody that came here. They want to do that to us, and we're tired of being the Poster Children for liberal causes and decides that Shawn the sixties and seventies are calling and they want their causes back because the Democrats are beating him to death. It's a dead horse. We've moved on from that The past is the past. Let's focus on our future. I believe, Reverend and with all my heart and soul that God created every man, woman and child And that everybody has certain gifts. And the difference between in the human experience is the propensity for good and evil. Like I would argue that God gave us both a gift or maybe occurs of a big mouth. And you're just better at it than I am, because I've never been able to talk my way out of a ticket like you, but, um, but I think most Americans agree with that. You know, I I thought with all my heart, there's a zey aspiring Christian, you know, wanting to be better that that's the fact hard scooper. First Let me just say this. If we had more field Bryants in America, America would in fact, be a glorious place and always had more CL Bryant speed limit would go up. We could drive past her legally. Well, you know, here in Texas. It is already 85. So I don't know how much faster could go by the way. That really sucks hearing that Because it's 55 in New York. It's socks to hear that. Yeah, well, I find that not everybody is willing to even go the speed limit here. It becomes an aspirational goal. Let me say this. I don't understand why our president didn't say instead of talking about Jim Crow two point Oh, why didn't he just say? I know Jim Quo. Jim Quo is a friend of mine. And 2021 is not Jim quote because that's the truth. His record is legacy. He's the one that needs to be explaining and not telling people who live their lives. The day that they need to live in the same kind of fear and the same kind of apprehension that existed 70 plus years ago. It's his legacy and his Pettis responsibilities that need to be re examined. Not America in 2021. I mean, it's Zumba believable, I think corresponds up a good point, Reverend. And that is that if Donald Trump had the record of praising segregationists and praising the former Klansman and partnering with the guy that filibuster the Civil Rights Act, 64 Voting Rights Act 65 boy people in the Democratic Party they forget. Lyndon Johnson needed all the Republicans that he got because you know, people like Joe Biden's KKK Prin were nowhere to be found. Then partnering the stop integration in schools. Doesn't want to schools to become his words of racial jungle. If any of that happened with any Republican ever get elected with that history, I doubt it. Absolutely not, Shawn and you know, it's an excellent point. You bring up hard because itwas Joe Biden and his friend Robert KKK. Byrd, who did in fact, know Jim Crow. I know Robert KKK. Byrd knew him because he wore the sheikh upholding Jim Crow. There's no question about it, and Joe Biden eulogized him glowingly. At his funeral. So the hype ocracy that they are putting and presenting before the American people, particularly black people, is the same old mess that they have been leading us to a place of co dependency on them for a long time. What Donald Trump did he came along, and he actually said a free again because he unleashed American business. He unleashed American prosperity. He unleashed black business. In this country. I was on his board. Black boys is for Trump. And let me tell you something. There was not a time that I have seen black folks more energized in the entrepreneurial arena. Then they were when Donald John Trump was president of the United States Depression has set in again among black businesses, black businessman American businesses and American businessmen. And it's all because voters you better Not to get this. It's all because of who is in the Oval Office, even though I'm not calling him president. People going to go after you for that, by the way, but we allow freedom of speech on this program. Uh, Quick Break Maura with Horace Cooper. Reverend C L. Bryant on the other side, 809.1 Sean our number if you wanna be a part of the program, So alright, It's long cutting season..

"Family. You got a You got a special place in our hearts on this program for all the good work to do, and we appreciate it. And if we could ever help you let us know. And Sergeant Penny, your rock star. Thanks for being with us. Absolutely. Thank you, honey. All right, 809 For one, Sean. Toll free number. All right, Let's say hi to Steve is in New Orleans today. What's up, Steve? How are you, sir? Glad you called. Great. Thanks for taking my call. Sean. I want to jump right in on this because I know my time is limited. I been missing religiously to your chauffeur last five years because of the world you guys have done with Russia hopes more pro ball that it rings true to me because in the last 15 years, I have operated a small moving company where I do all the work, including all the driving in the last 15 years. Last 15 years, I've been pulled over 45 to 50 times for traffic violations that I didn't commit, or that were not even traffic violations at all, including looking at a state patrol officer in Missouri and touching my head. Have had numerous officers pull up alongside me, profile me and in some cases, get back behind me and pulled me over and numerous times I've had a dog falsely Lor on my vehicle when there was nothing in there. I think In one particular case, I was putting two handcuffs for two hours while my van was systematically disassembled connected. They ask you a question. How do you get pulled over 45 times. And how many years 15? I mean, do you have a heavy foot? You know, I've never even gotten a moving violation in my life. Sean. I've never been arrested. I've never had any out. I don't have any outstandings this I've been wanting to call and talk to you about this for Five years Now, This is a personal situation. I have eight of the 50 warning sitting in front of me and my home office desk. What is the profiling that they're seeing in you? Do you believe well, so I am Caucasian. I am of German and greet background. I'm all of skin. I have shaved head statues. I think I fit some kind of ridiculous profile RK profile of what is used Still in law enforcement. That's my belief, But okay, let me ask you of the 45 times. How many of them do you think you were treated properly? And I'm wanting from that meeting from the time that you pulled over How they how they treated you. How many times would you say they did it? Appropriately? Appropriately, the vast majority. I don't think any law abiding citizen of this country with no criminal record should be put in handcuffs for two hours because of a dog falsely alerting on the vehicle. I mean, what is the dog falsely alerting, meaning that they smelled drugs? Or? Yep, That's exactly right. It's happening me about five or six times ironically, to in Dallas, do you have your own truck? Do you rent a U haul that maybe did have some drugs in it? Yes. So that is definitely part of it that I do all writing of vehicles, but some of these air cargo vans and so you know, smells can linger that and there's the possibility that there were drugs in it in my issue with this is the first of four. Most that there were there was never a traffic violation ever committed. I drive in the safest possible manner for my safety and the safety of my cargo. And that Z just how it is. So when I get pulled over for looking at a state patrol officer, they're touching my head. There's a problem there that that can't be used as a rational explanation to pull somebody over just to see who they are. I don't see how it can be viewed any other way than that. If I'm speeding. Listen, I know a lot of people. I've never heard of anything like this in my life. Just so you know, I'm not. I'm not. I have no way of knowing whether or not all this happened. I'm just taking your word for it. I mean, you're saying that touching your head somehow triggered a profile. Or, you know, I'm not sure if your car passes that a dog would smell you know drugs from a previous hall from U Haul just by you passing by it, 40 Miles or 50 or 60 miles an hour. That doesn't make sense to me at all. Um, I I don't know what to say. I just don't I can't come and intelligently on what you tell them because I have no idea what the all these circumstances are. It seems very odd to me completely. And I don't want to scare them to dispute with you. I would just say to you and this is my recommendation for anybody is and I've been pulled. I used to have a heavy foot I don't anymore. And unlike I don't have the quite the gift of Gabbar. The track record of CL Bryant to you know, can talk his way out of anything. Apparently has he mentioned yesterday, which is pretty funny. But I would just say my general attitude is yes, sir. No, sir. Yes, ma'am. No, ma'am, That's it, And I'm not stopping that at all. And I have had an instance one in my life. That was negative. Every other instance. The cops were professional. And in one case, I think this cop was having a bad day didn't particularly like me when he figured out who I was and wrote me five tickets, and I sat there and said, Thank you, sir. And I women on my way. And I hired a lawyer and, you know, paid the fine. They all they really want is the money. They don't even want the points on your license. I'm sorry you went through it. I don't know what to tell you. Um, I would say to everybody for your own protection, You know, I would urge everybody to follow the commands. Of oven officer the officer says. Please exit your vehicle. Yes, sir. Here my hands. Show your head, you know, because you want to go home, and there has to be some level of understanding that police officers Police officers are their jobs are hard and they have no idea what they're getting into. Ah, lot of times anyway. Thank you for the call. Um, let's say a Haida. Steve is in Kentucky. Steve's a truck driver. By the way, there's nothing you buy in any store that you can't think a truck driver for what's going on. Steve, How are you? Hey, Sean, I'm good. The reason calling is first truck drivers. Uh, if we get pulled over, usually it's do you like sometime inspection or something? For to make sure that everything's okay. I'm a flatbed truck driver. So they also had that inspecting cargo real good too, for that. So, um If any time I get pulled over or I pull into a scale. I say hello. Good morning or afternoon, whichever it is, uh, to the officer asked him what he needed and get what he needs. And you find most offices and doing a good job professional..
