"Okay. Brandon writes in, it's that Zack, if you could change the outcome of one Super Bowl, which Super Bowl would it be and why? What changes do you think that outcome would have had on the league with that team winning? I've got one, two, three, four super bowls that I think would have been interesting. With a different outcome. The first one that came to mind was the Patriots undefeated season they went 17 and they couldn't go 18 and know they lost to the Giants in 2000 season. In the Super Bowl. And I honestly thought you asked the question, I read it. I thought about it. And then I realized, if I could go back and time travel. And then somehow the control to change the outcome. I don't think I would. I don't think I would have the Patriots. And I love the Patriots dynasty. I'm a massive Tom Brady fan. I don't even hide it. Bill Belichick's endlessly interesting. I can't even talk. And yet, despite my fandom of those human beings, I still am glad they lost. It made the sport better. I think it made Brady mad. I think Tom Brady really, that is driven him for years. That being called a cheater, all the hate, he fuels and he loves it. And that is also fueled. I think by love of the E loves training and working and preparing and I totally relate to that. But the outcome of the Patriots losing in the Super Bowl to the Giants, not once, but actually twice. It showed that a God can bleed, you're not infallible, even. The Patriots. Can lose a football game, and that's endlessly interesting. I need to go for a second. My cat is being insane. So give me a second. I'm sure you didn't hear that. My cat, I'm pretty sure got a running start, ran and jump full speed into my office door. What did you do? Stupid cat. I'm sure you probably didn't hear it. If you did, it was like a crash and a bang. But you probably I think you can't literally hear anything outside of a 5 foot radius of the microphone. Anyway, we're talking about Super Bowl outcomes that I wish had been differently. And I don't know if that's all ones I wish, but it would have been interesting if things had happened differently..

"It good? Is it quality? The question I never ask and it definitely hurts me financially, but I'm good enough so I don't need to worry about it. And that's again because of you guys, thank you. I never need to say, well, this get a lot of views. I can say this is good. And that's a big difference in most people in the media don't do. And I like watching the media scramble man when people after week on the packers, they sell them they're like, well air and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. You can have the entertainment conversation, but it was so weird how you see the back and forth and back and forth about suddenly the forget Aaron Rodgers won the Super Bowl MVP sorry the NFL of appeal last year. Like Erin didn't suddenly forget how to play football after one week. I just had a bad game week one. It happens sometimes. I don't know. I don't know. I mean, it's a little bit fair to question the packers, but some of the stuff I saw were like people saying that Rogers doesn't care. I'm like, what are you talking? What are you talking about? Why would Rogers clearly cares about football? Watches mechanics. I have for years been a guy against Aaron Rodgers. I didn't like Erin for years. And the world has changed so much, I find myself defending Aaron all the time now. And I for years have hated on Aaron's leadership. How am I the guy defending Aaron? I hate when he glares it receivers. But I like what I want to do in this year. I went on a total rant there, I apologize. Thomas writes and he says, I did not expect the Broncos and the Raiders to be on top of their division, the AFC west at the end of week three. Yeah, it's a surprise man. It's fun, though. It probably is not going to last. But still, it's really fun to see Denver and the Las Vegas Raiders..

"I don't know. To me, honestly, my reaction initially when I saw that they were signing Richard Sherman to me showed how desperate Tampa is in their secondary they are so banged up. There's so many injuries in their secondary. However, I will say, even though I am very hesitant to praise this move and say, it's going to be amazing, oh yeah, even though I'm a little bit hesitant, I do also acknowledge that it is a good fit. He's a veteran. He's been around the NFL a ton. And the culture in Tampa, not only because of Tom Brady, but the attitude of Tampa, the way they cater to veterans and they work with their schedules and, hey, if you want to take Wednesday off to keep your body healthy, they're really good about taking care of veteran players and catering their approach to every player individually. And Richard Sherman is not totally useless. He's not the athlete he once was in my opinion. But he's really smart. He still has good technique. It's all like he forgot how to backpedal. It's not like you forgot how to keep a guy in his hip pocket or when a quarterback's about to throw the ball or the little tells. The mental side of the game and everything that Richard Sherman can possibly control, you know he's going to do it to the very best of his ability. And again, I do think that because of Tom Brady, that's a really good environment for a player like Richard Sherman to do well. They're in a position to squeeze the very last good football at a Richard Sherman. And it's a developing story. I am very, very curious to see how Richard Sherman in Tampa will affect that football team. And how good is he going to be? I don't know. I really don't know. But I have an open mind, and it's certainly I think he's going to put his best foot forward now. How good is he really? I don't know, but and I'm not, it would be disingenuous of me to make bold claims that he's going to do this and that who knows..

"An undefeated team that is a lot better than people are giving them credit for. Finally, the worst of the best, they Carolina Panthers are the 5th best three no team in the NFL. I love Carolina. And not just the state, not just the people, I love all of it, the owner, the coach, Sam darnold, the quarterback, the general manager, making moves, trading for really good players, making, like, do you understand, they stole Sam darnold from the jets? They're starting quarterback. He's going to be their franchise quarterback. Maybe for like next ten years, or three games in, I know that's a wild claim, but my point is like, do you understand how much thievery is gone on? With Carolina, the way they built their they just stole CJ Henderson from the Jaguars for a no name tight end Dan Arnold, who better than people realize, but still. Their defense is going to be good for like 6, 7, ten years with siege Henderson, JC horn, and Jeremy chin. It's like, I can't believe the movies are making in Carolina. It's unbelievable. This team is building something in Carolina. There are three you know, the record in my opinion is less impressive when you realize that they're dominating rookie quarterbacks. Zach Wilson and then not even they didn't even be like, the Broncos beat Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson. Carolina beat Zach Wilson and Davis mills. The Houston Texans who are just a train wreck. And then by the way, week two, when Carolina beaten New Orleans, the saints were missing a ton of coaches because of COVID. So it's not like it's the most impressive resume I've ever seen from Carolina. But they do a ton of winnable games that look at Carolina schedule. Philly, Minnesota, Atlanta, twice. The Giants, Washington. I love Caroline. And the reason why Carolina in my opinion is the 5th ranked undefeated team. This is why. I do not believe that Carolina can beat a really good football team yet like a Super Bowl contending football team. At Dallas week four, I think they lose. I think they're going to lose in this upcoming game.

"Cold side of tough schedule early on. The offensive line was really banged up week one. I mean, you can't, you can't have half your offensive line injured and expect to do well. And week two, they played the rams, who might be the best team in the entire film. This is like the litmus test for Indianapolis. They played the LA rams who are potentially going to win the Super Bowl. And the rams won by three points. Against Indy. And if Carson Wentz doesn't get hurt at the end of that game, he left the game early. Carson could not play in the final drive, which would have given the colts an opportunity to tie the game or take the lead. What happens if Carson Wentz doesn't get hurt week two against the rams? That's how good the colts are. Don't sleep on them. And you know, they lost in week three to a pretty solid Titans team. Titans, by the way, in my opinion, match up perfectly with the colts. I mean, they just have a brutal match up for the colts. I don't know that the colts are going to be the Titans either time they played them this year. But the colts are better than L and three. Indianapolis is underachieving if you ask me. And I actually think that if the colts can add like a stud receiver, a man if they can figure out left tackle and get consistent play. I don't know that Eric Fisher is the guy. He's injured. I don't know if I trust him yet. Is Eric Fisher gonna be able to play next year and the year after that? I don't know or think so. If the colts can get another player in their secondary, they're two or three moves away. From like a Super Bowl run in my opinion. If Carson stays healthy, they add a couple players, like the cold sore a very good football team that should not be zero and three. And they've had a very, very.

"Something seems a bit off. Why is a head coach talking to a player's parents an adult NFL player's parents about said players future? I don't know. I'm curious if we will ever learn more. Because I just wonder maybe 5 years from now. Ten years from now. A year from now when you retire, someday I hope we hear the backstory and learn why CJ Henderson was traded away from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Okay. I'm going to answer questions throughout the entire episode. So I'm just going to introduce ask Zach now. Ask Zach is my favorite. It's not really a segment today. It's just an aspect of the entire show. I'm going to dip in and out of questions from the audience. In case you do not know how it works. Ask Zach is where I answer questions from the audience questions, comments, concerns. I always every week put on Patreon and say, hey, right into the show. Tell me what you think. Your question, you gotta concern, you gotta comment, you got maybe a correction. Like, whatever you got. I love hearing from the audience and it's a way to do it. So if you in case you do not know how it works, you got a Patreon dot com forward slash Schaumburg, you give a dollar a month. That's a $12 a year. That's all it takes. $1 a month gives you access to submit questions on Patreon. Now you can give more than a dollar a month, please do. I'm begging you. It really would mean a lot to me. It helps me pay my Rhett kidding. That's a real honest thing. But I think a dollar a month is a fair, tiny, very low barrier to entry to submit questions on Patreon. Now, my guarantee on my end is I do not guarantee to read your question on the show. My only guarantee is I look at every single question with my eyeballs. I read them. I look at them, I consider them. And then I pick the top couple I try to read them on the show and I try to every episode of work as many as I possibly can into the show. But that is, if anyone who doesn't know, that is ask Zach fully explained. Now, Anthony wrote in, first question of the day. He says, who is the best of the Owen three teams right now? So there are 5 teams right now that are zero and three. Indy, Detroit, the jets, the Jaguars, and the New York Giants. The boys in blue, the G men. I almost mixed G men and boys in blue and they're like, I said, gee blue, and that's not a thing at all. I want to rank the O and three teams from worst to best. So by the end, we will figure out.

"The Jacksonville Jaguars. Now part of the problem with CJ Henderson the reason why one small factor why they traded him away is he got hurt last year. He played an 8 games during his rookie year last fall. And then he missed last week due to an injury. And that's a factor, right? Injury concerns. He's not always available. That's a real thing that I think is keeping Jacksonville from really readily embracing C genders on support of why they traded him. But this is what the trade really boiled down to between Jacksonville and Carolina. The Jaguars felt like they had a number of really solid corners. They have rookie Tyson Campbell, Trey herndon's coming back from an injury. They have they get Shaq Griffin a massive contract in free agency. They've got like three corners that they feel very good about that are clearly in Jacksonville's opinion, good enough to be starters in the NFL. Maybe they believe they don't need CJ Henderson, they're like, what we really need is a tight end. Our young quarterback's really struggling. He needs a tight end badly. And clearly, very obviously based on the trade, Jacksonville decided they needed a tight end more than they needed CJ Henderson. That's what happens when you trade make that trade. And again, I realize this trade looks bad trading a former first round pick for an unknown tight end. But it looks way worse than it is. The Jaguars filled a hole on their roster. I'm kind of beating that to go around, but you have to understand. I know how it looks optically, but it looks worse than it is. Now, the reason why Carolina, Jaguar fans are skeptical like, well, if ten Arnold's so, so good and capable, why would Carolina get rid of him? And I understand where you're coming from, I get it. You're frustrated. You were excited about the future of your first round pick and now you got rid of him for a guy you've never heard of. But the only reason why Carolina was willing to get rid of Dan Arnold a very good receiving Ted end was because of the emergence of a rookie tight end, Tommy tremble. Tommy tremble is a third round pick out of Notre-Dame. He's fast. He's got good hands. He's a good blocker. He's just like a good all around football player. Like he's a tight end who had a rushing touchdown against Houston on Thursday at football. How many tight ends in the NFL have a rushing touchdown ever? Let alone in their rookie year. And so Carolina is expecting that when you give Tommy tremble a bigger role as head end, they expect he's gonna rise to the occasion and they're like, yeah, we like Dan Arnold. But we got another guy behind him. We basically, the Jaguars are rich at corner. And the Panthers were the tight end position. And they made a trade that will benefit both of them. But again, I believe Carolina will win this trade in the long run, because with a good players around him and the culture of the Panthers have, I believe CJ Henderson is going to develop into a star. Now, I do have to add this one thing because this is a final little topic's done. We finished it, but this is one little final like looming question. I think what to call it like a stinger, maybe you go to a marvel movie and the credits roll, and then there's like one more hook at the end..

"The potential in Carolina right now. It already was ridiculous yet, Sam darnold, who's never really had the help he deserved, he got a great coaching staff, you got a great owner who's investing tons of money in the franchise, they're building something really cool. And then they go get CJ Henderson a player that it's just oh man, it's awesome. And I talked in the preseason about how one of the keys to the Jaguar season is can they develop their young talent? This isn't in my notes, but now that I think about it, it's like, well, Carolina is clearly doing a amazing job developing their young talent so far in Jacksonville, they've already traded away a first round pick. They gave up on CJ Henderson. I think having good players around CJ Henderson in Carolina is going to help him. They're all building something together. Plus the defensive coordinator and Carolina is a fantastic dude, Phil snowy's awesome. I think CJ is going to enjoy playing for Phil snow. It's going to be a good time there. Now, this will not be remembered as the Dan Arnold trade. We're not going to look back and go, hey, remember the Dan Arnold trait? No, no, no. However, Dan Arnold is a really talented receiving tight end. He's been underrated in my opinion ever since he was with Arizona Cardinals. He made a couple of catches, two, three years ago that I was like, is anybody this new Dan Arnold? I know, not a household name at all, but he is making great plays. And Jacksonville desperately needed a title. This was a move that solve the big problem a hole in their roster. They went out and they got their young quarterback Trevor Lawrence a rookie. Number one overall pick I mean, if you get a young quarterback, your job is to build a team around them and provide them with weapons. Hey, credit the Jaguars, they went out and got Dan Arnold that really, really.

"Three, two, one. Oh my goodness. Good morning, good afternoon. Whatever it is for you, I hope you're having a fantastic day. My name is Zach shameer. There's a strong opinion sports episode 300 and 90. We are ten away from 400. I remember 300. It's been 90 episodes since then. That's unbelievable. I've been pumping about like crazy. I love you. I appreciate it. I don't think I say that enough actually. I am just so grateful for the people who watch and listen to this podcast. It is 6, 55 in the morning, trying to get this recorded before the jackhammer starts. Probably at about 8 o'clock morning. So I'm trying to get it done. I got about an hour. Let's jump in. I want to start today with a correction, actually. The other day I said the Raiders won the Super Bowl in 2002. That's not true. I don't know what I was thinking. The Raiders did go to the Super Bowl in 2002. However, they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who were actually coached at the time by John Gruden. It's a crazy story. In 2001, John Gruden coached the Raiders. And then he was actually traded. And yes, coaches can get traded. I think a lot of people don't even know that. He got traded at Tampa. And he replaced Tony dungy, by the way. Tony dungy, who went on to win a Super Bowl with Peyton Manning and indie, Tony dungy was fired after by Tampa, after the 2001 season. But then it gets really crazy because the very next year, John Gruden's very first year coaching in Tampa. He beat the team that traded him away in the Super Bowl. So in other words, the Raiders traded away their head coach, John Gruden, already a crazy move. And then 11 months later, after trading him away, they lost to him in the Super Bowl. It's one of those things where I wish I've been broadcasting back then. It would have been so fun to cover that. That story, that's as compelling as Brady versus Belichick playing each other years later. That's unbelievable. I mean, I was 5 years old and that happened, but I wish I could go back and that's like one of the only things in my lifetime I really legitimately missed out on that I'm like, man, that would have been an unbelievably fun story to cover. By the way, the Raiders traded, it's an awful trade. They traded John Gruden away for two first round picks and two second round picks, and then $8 million in cash. And now Davis God bless him. Maybe forever rest in peace. Old age. I don't know. I still, I wish, again, I wasn't alive really cognizant of the sports world at this time. I wish I could have heard the arguments people made because where people in favor of it did they like it. I know my history fairly well, but I don't know what the media was saying in 2001, or 2002 when the trade happened. So by the way, I remember John Gruden's last ever game..

"Especially in the second half there I mean you know. And I think the biggest most impressive thing there because we knew that the pass rush was going to be good and dangerous. But then to also have that translate into just building something foundational for Dwayne, Haskins, just something to help him get the ball on because this offense was lost for the first. Two and a half quarters of this game and you know to be able to do that. I think was pretty phenomenal and just in general if you're a fan of the Washington football team I mean, this is probably the most optimistic you've been in I don't know. Since the RG, three season probably that you're at least you know making something for the future that doesn't look completely. Sad, and ridiculous and chase young as advertised I. mean you know knocking the ball at Carson Wentz his hands early you know in freeing up to on every play movies Ryan Kerrigan on one down. Montus sweat went on another down and you know this is this is GonNa be a tough This is GonNa be a tough defense for for teams to contain. Yeah look it was it was a sustained comeback eagles jumped out seventeen nothing carson wentz just got increasingly sloppy as he was getting knocked around throughout this game and looked Wayne Haskins EP. Play generally mistake free football. He's you know it would when things are running on time for him when he's on schedule when it's defined read, he looks good only when it gets a little later into the down and you can get in some trouble but that's that's the way it goes for a lot of young quarterback. So encouraging day here for for Washington another big upset Jaguars knock off the colts ruined a lot of people's knockout pools here. jaguars just looked at they. They were just lying in wait in this one the offense was. You know you could call efficient. I would maybe say punchless is his the word I throw out there You know they went bend don't break on defense they were by two hundred yards but. They just sorta waited for Philip Rivers to make mistakes Philip Rivers. Deliver those mistakes for them. I was stunned at how often you know they had a CJ Henderson on T. Y. Hilton matchup, and it seemed like the entire game plan hinged on picking apart CJ Henderson but very early on it became apparent that I mean Henderson's ready to play in the NFL. You know he's he's a good quarterback i. mean he was probably one of the ten best. See you know I haven't seen any of the PF grades or Anything like that. But I would assume that he would have graded out as one of the ten best cornerbacks in the League on Sunday I. Thought he played phenomenally and but they just kept going back to that matchup and thought that at some point they were able to get him to make a mistake and I I'm not sure y the game plan ended up going there. You know what I mean. I think that you had other talent Marl Mac. We just I just saw lost for the season with an Achilles injury but you know Taylor is catching balls out of the backfield like you're finally able to get a quarterback who can get the ball to You know guys like Paris. Campbell who you drafted and thought that you might be able to turn into a real playmaker but instead..

When you play the forty niners, you gotta deal with George Kittle. That's who you gotTa Stop So when those games you I think you'll see him matched up a bunch and he'll get a chance to cover George biddle the rams in the past. It would have been todd Gurley. He's not there anymore. We'll see what this you can. A new version of the rams offense looks like. But they run a lot of outside zone so just having that range in that sideline to sideline speed will benefit them there so i. do think it's a delicate balance in terms of not giving them too much, but I do think inside that division. You can customize playlists so to speak for him. I think that's the way that you have to do I think this year. Unlike any other year think simple is better, I think the ability to simplify and really create opportunities for young players has to be. Has To be at. The forefront has to be deployed. Where those guys can play fast, and they can make an impact. Yeah, that's that's going to be. Kind of plan for him in this upcoming season all right, let's get to the rest of the top ten here with two guys CJ Henderson to Jacksonville Corner. And then Jed.

J. thorough defensive back Clemson file a general body work was pretty solid and you'll get a more talent he's got the length at six one one ninety five love that for four to recovery speed very athletic kids I think when you look at what bothers people is how we finished the year what overall yeah the body of work AJ Terrell's talent and the way he played dictated the would be an early round pick but I think that last final game that one cop gets LSU that game where he did under achieved and looked like he was a little bit over match I think because a little bit that will kind of shut down corner you can bake in the NFL so it landed takes AJ Terrell at sixteen you interchange the six the one of the six you get where he ranked on Mel Kiper's big board sixty one guys in fact Mel had other quarterbacks ahead of him by the name of no it may not get a offer Jeff Gladney TCU Jaylen Johnson Utah David art at Ohio state all ahead of AJ Terrell bart is this a reach for Atlanta as you see I mean when you get there it's about how do you perceive them in your system you know that everybody for everybody so his style which you do know that he's a champion you know that he has a big frame he can fill out and you have to your acts or acts or coaches who do you feel like you really like and what do you like about me can you call tomorrow and you know the answer had to be yes and you can see how you how you want to fit him in your system I think he he give you that recovery speed he's a big body if you think about the guy's got to go but go against that division I think you think about Michael Thomas how big is you want to got a has a a great defense of radius and he he he provides that he's a smart instinctive player and you can't really culture I think sometimes we just some of these players not knowing that you know they're going to improve will good coaching and being in a great culture and I think going to guess will be jolting cabin really every day is going to sharpen his skills up he'll be just fine yeah and I agree with that just in terms of the scheme again Bartolucci earlier when they place on this guy he has really good lane he could you have you could re rapidly I think real could do is he can run at some point you have to play man to man and to fight really slow down for them over the last couple years we've been disappointed in him they really need a front line corner so again this to me what you got to this next group of corners and made a lot of sense and obviously they put to roll over some of the other guys that maybe bell had a difference of opinion but to get off the field in that division between my cabin sport allude to Michael Thomas you need a big physical guy well I'll tell you this guide maybe wasn't on everyone's bored as has eyes others but devil Sweeney at Kochi Clemson described him to me as quote the Shawn Watson at corner same mindset work ethic character and the love of prep lived in the film room is carried himself as a pro since day one his intangibles are rare to go along with the talent whomever gets him is getting one heck of a ballplayer and one heck of a person so that's high praise coming dabble sweetie that's Ian Fitzsimmons Mike ten about parties got I'm Doreen okay we are halfway through the first round of the NFL draft yes my he is currently in a question and I really like the apple but is there a player he did it like is there a player that he wears one like one and I won't say it on air but he has given me one guy and all the years that I've known him one because that was about it I mean that's that's that was about the governor it was first and last initials nope yeah yep well that'll narrow that down just a little bit it'll a target this will be the the story for her a little bit with Dallas you know I can't adjust how things lining up we'll see what they do but you know they lost Travis Frederick the for one center out there a lot of people's porches Cesar Ruiz and we'll see what they do here but I can't you just go right down the line here of checking needs they lost a really good center to retirement Mike McCarthy's enough it's a coach there were voted for weapons they have a big Big Boy there at center I wonder if that's the direction they're going to go here which you know how many great how many great office Lamidi need your pants you being greedy because we know that even Landau callers should have been a first round draft pick I think really with that defensive struggle I think is that the safety position I think you can try and look the upgrade that also still go to court you can never have enough corners you know even within that division so you know struggling happening to deal with you know twice a year it's something that you're going to have to be able to shut down I think safety is a position of need for me as well are you asked me this earlier and I'm gonna bring a circle back on it because it was our pregame show what was the last time we talked this little about the Dallas Cowboys in the draft and how terrified of cowboy fans that Jerry Jones is all alone maybe in a bathrobe and slippers by himself and he has the final say when it comes to whom effort that Alfa's cowboys select if you're a Dallas Cowboys fan you should be terrified right now so you're saying that little chime now you're really shaking in their boots that's what you're lightly if you are Dallas there the seventeenth pick of this first round of the N. F. L. draft AJ Terrell quarterback Clemson the last player taken at number sixteen to the Atlanta Falcons we have seen again three quarterbacks taken Jordan love is of course still out there not the Dallas would look that direction we have seen two of the three big receivers taken rugs and Judy both off the board we've seen a run office of tackles as expected with four of them gone not to mention three quarterbacks as well so we've seen not the run of those positions through this particular point so Dallas that pick is going to be announced here in just a matter of moments but I want to remind you when it's strapped to you need healthy nutritious fuel to get you from the first round through the seventh that's where California almonds comes in there the snack that's all upside all positives they may not run a fast forty but they do have six grams protein four grams of fiber twelve vitamins and minerals that's the kind of stat line you can't argue with California almonds own your everyday even on draft day all right to the podium thanks to the podium in his basement Roger Goodell with the seventeenth pick in the twenty twenty NFL draft the Dallas Cowboys select CD lamb wide receiver Oklahoma five C. V. Y. ABC because yards after the catch is his forte about kit six one we have almost two hundred pounds with just four five people there was not that bad four five the staff could not for the desktop is a good application uses that stuff part after the dad tried to get him down is really difficult for quarterbacks do you think about the versatility fifty percent of its production came inside fifty percent came outside to get to that goal versatility slot for wide for CD lamp should take him one heck of a player in the NFL and that's the third big three wide receiver off the board CD lamb to the cowboys guys a look behind me my son Nick is an Oklahoma fan like his Daddy and a CD lamp fan but not a cowboys fan has his head in his hands what's your reaction to Dallas taking less yeah I I don't like it at all I don't like it because from a strategic standpoint you just paid Amari Cooper got a huge hole at center part alluded to the other holds a hand it could be a guy like McKinney at safety so from a team building standpoint well I love the town I think they could be much better off going to either office of line or safety I mean I I knew what he was going to do it if the value at this spot it's just way too good you know now you have to change our philosophy and see Hey how can I go get a safety and and and and free agency the second free agency that's going to take place as players are going to be cut out there your teams figure out what the very beginning the draft but I mean you just think about just the rich get richer think about having somebody that can really stretch the field open to fill up and then by the way you have the best running back the most consistent productive running back in the game now you just talk about the safety of the box and possibly looking at maybe trying to get Jeremy chan in the second round R. possibly or maybe packaging of pick to move up earlier in in the second round but the good news the cowboys fans Jerry isn't alone in a bathrobe he's got a suit on and his daughter Charlotte is there with him as well so you have that going for you and by the way I mean if you're going to end up paying that press got a hold no doubt you just gave him another weapon as well to go along with Cooper and and and Elliott and so on and so forth so see the Lamoille make the two and a half to three hour trek from Norman to big D. to play his next football with the Dallas Cowboys that means it's the Miami Dolphins they're on the clock now this is the team that took to attend a lot lower at number five this is the second of Miami's three picks in the first round they also have number twenty six overall so as we see the transition of this team we see them with a real opportunity to give themselves a facelift so to speak what does Miami do now that they have their quarterback of the future the question we will break yes we protected makes a lot of sense that's a question we will answer in just a moment but first we go to mark Kissinger and the California almonds draft track what are you guys mentioned going to fifteen SEC players drafted in the first round nine over the first fifteen picks LSU Jonesborough went number one overall to Cincinnati and after all has the Buckeyes went second and third chase young to Washington Jeff committed to Detroit the SEC onslaught began Georgia tackle Andrew Thomas the giants to it photo by lower fifth to Miami Dolphins talk to us to the Chargers next got their quarterback at six with Justin Herbert lot of talented receivers in round one first was Alabama's Henry Ruggs twelve for the raiders and his teammate Jerry Judy one fifteenth St Denver the fourth member of the Crimson Tide to go in the top fifteen and the third wide receiver in the last six picks goes to Dallas in Oklahoma speedster CD lamb updating mill capers best available Alabama safety Xavier McKinney followed.

"The Jaguars take CJ Henderson you heard a lot of buzz around this name he goes in the top ten I was a little surprised by that but I know we're AJ Bouye number Jaylen Ramsey and secondary is of need and by the way Henderson missed three games in twenty nineteen due to injury and still led the Gators with eleven pass break up so the Jaguars go back to their roots and they take a defensive player to try to rebuild that secondary yeah I would still expect for them I know they're going to have to wait a little bit in the second round before they come back up but you know that they're going to be flippant some pics with these veterans that they have I see down the line and I don't know if you want to go into next season what what which Sarkin and and Westbrook and calmly I mean some of those dudes in there that is almost wait twenty six I mean they are what they are me granted but a couple of them could break out maybe a thousand yard season but I I'm I'm not confident in the offense unless they bring in a solid wide receiver you can't go wrong with Henderson but they're gonna have to do something with that offense and I would have to imagine with them also picking at twenty again in this first round maybe that is what decided it because of how deep the wide receivers are in this draft maybe they feel that their guy will still be out there at twenty if they have to move up a few spots to get him they could do that with all the draft capital that they have and I'm very curious to see what happens this week with Jana king doc way as there's been some Twitter beefs and some Twitter feuds there and died later for net who appears to be on his way out as well so jaguar's go CJ Henderson from Florida in that secondary and now the Cleveland Browns are on the clock J. R. and what a disaster and that's being behind when I say that the Cleveland Browns wire a year ago Freddie kitchens gone bye bye John Dorsey gone bye bye and now Kevin's the fans he is going to be the babysitter and Cleveland and I would be stunned this one would shock me if the Cleveland Browns that not go offense of line here I would agree I mean I got to take advantage of the offense of weapons that they have they got to add to it this means the fancy may be around but everybody else on that team on offense the side of the football is on notice you know you we always it doesn't matter where he is we always hear the rumors about old now you know they bring in an Austin Hooper to how Baker Mayfield you know he's going to have to become accurate and get these guys the football so that the offense is on notice I'd be surprised as well if they don't go online here then your offense alignment that they could have interest in that are still available judge like wells we are showing that your home and doing well we're proud we're very proud to support you and St Jude in the fight to end childhood cancer and we're all in your corner Fletcher go get him so I had the Browns pick.
Atlanta Falcons have 16th draft pick in first virtual draft
"The NFL's first ever virtual draft in the falcons have the sixteenth pick in the row in the first round even though everybody's drafting from hold the falcons still have a lot to improve from last year seven ninety but middle of all this newness still the same my name in the draft I'm getting better head coach Dan Quinn in Atlanta it's got a lot of holes but at the top of the list may be in the secondary corner class as you know a handful of guys that are gonna be legit never get contributors GM Thomas Dimitroff has been linked to Florida's CJ Henderson linebacker pass rusher defensive line also did some work first round starts at eight on ESPN and

"Thanks so I will go I will go a little bit nontraditional and I will say the Panthers need corner help in the worst kind of way CJ Henderson quarterback university of Florida with the seventh pick in the twenty twenty NFL draft that's interesting and I I have watched him quite a bit I think he you know he can handle the the bail technique and and drop back into coverage the one I don't know if you watched him a lot but the one major critique I have of him is not a great tackler I don't know if you can learn that at the NFL level but that is interesting in Arizona right behind a fast your body's gonna come at one fifteen I think they'll gobble up Derek brown so just tell me your check expand on that a little bit more if you if you watch much as CJ Henderson I like his ball skills and I I like his ability to flip his hips and open up and play on top but I I see him missing a lot of tackles oh gosh some military homeland indigo fifty do you know it is going to get there is going to get there brown I knew that going in but with with Dante Jackson as one of the panther corners and with the quarterbacks that the Panthers have to face in the NFC south now you got new England's Tom Brady a buccaneer Betty ice Matt Ryan twice a year drew Brees twice a year we just need we just need the twitching we just made the first free the ball skills the confidence the swagger to sister Dante Jackson on that other side plus we lost James Bradberry thought thank you I think you feel the need for your humble Carolina Panthers in the NFC south you know that it's interesting you say that because I was looking at the depth chart before we had John and like you said Dominic Capreol Dante Jackson of the corners and I was thinking the exact thing that you just said which is you add Brady to the box with Matt Ryan and drew Brees that is tough every week and you're gonna you're gonna play those teams a bunch and your yeah I I don't know how you do it with the corners they currently have I would agree with you well the goal is to at least one we play Papa's team to have him not get to rollout is legendary touchdown call about seven times which I think he did one of the Panthers in the Niners last met I do recall Nick rose almost had a lot of self deception this is the first time when I thought that game and then the Green Bay game for that great respect for your chain that you guys were physically tough and it came with a good record I thought wow we could go to the Superbowl which is amazing just give give us one last thought about cam Newton's departure and where where do you see him lining up and playing this year mac I think he's got a great football years left ahead of him I think it's this chronological age at this football H. are now catching up with one another since he hasn't taken a lot of hits the last two seasons he's he's he's all caught up on me and his body looks like it's just lean and vascular he's all vegan now and and he's he's the greatest dual threat quarterback that so far has ever played professional football I'm shocked that he's not that he doesn't have a a permanent home yet I thought somebody would have done a deal with him right now but I swear I think he's gonna take this is the way the NFL is he'll he'll he'll play great against the Carolina Panthers and break our hearts that's just kinda how it all seems to happen by the way make I I this just came across from Adam Schefter the box in the pager to talk about a trade but rob Gronkowski into your division as well there you go really another one yeah well and chef there we have yeah it's always something I may if there's not one thing is to but like Matt rule to Greg's question earlier John in and out of hope if you don't hear anything else I have said on your show I think that it might be a process but with with this this organization is not scared David tampering company are trying to do exactly what they've said they're going to take it down to the studs make some difficult decisions parting company with some iconic former Panthers and then build this thing to be sustainably good so there's room on the bandwagon for United fans raider fans it Chargers just let us be your second favorite team and we will not let you down mixed up loves the band there's I mean a lot of people out here would like it like the Panthers a baby as their backup team just because Steph loves me pounds right right that's right carries a big yeah yeah that's right hello Bob Superbowl fifty what I hear yeah I hear you thank you my friend staying out of the region good I'm not hang up and go back to my yard work and and social distancing without accountable your sorry sorry sorry knight Mick sorry about the rather inside the uploading god given us call me by name the correct behind that's a surprise me yeah but what do you look at the corners they have all my god they're they're terrible okay that might be the worst quarter combo in the league I don't think they're going to do this they learn that yeah I mean I think you might be right right but it's in their corners are bad they're both about five nine five ten by the way Adam Schefter is reporting that the patriots and boxer in talks grounds got one year ten million left on his deal possibly then Daniel Jeremiah jumping in and saying Hey they could swap fourteen for twenty three that the patriots could move up nine spots but could move back and they get Gronk that's what's so being discussed about that wow there's no problem with the ten million dollars to fit I don't know how I got a look at the cabinet that's the dates all over the place now but aqua data outside of talking about as hot dogs more delectably yes luscious than Brady she would I mean last time I saw Gronk is gonna have to get the weight room and all the weight rooms are closed okay looks like a different guy so is she really going to do this I mean this is not the off season to be gearing back up no I think he's been training down in order with with wrestler they I guess they say is down only forty grand he's he's back out of the house that's what they're saying so anyway why then what would they do with their other two tight ends they have they have a little baby talk much right notice Howard and where the forty Niners being played for OJ Howard ever talking about Evan Ingram I'd much rather OJ Howard and Evan Ingram I'd I like OJ Howard Ibiza complete tight end played Bama he can block he can catch he's fast he's got fire I like O. J. our a lot if they're going a lot now they're both what they ever keep all three tight ends and do what they did in New England I mean they had you know Aaron Hernandez and Gronk we're gonna yeah those receivers to yet Evans Godwin Gronk bear with ME to move one could they generally have allergen and Gronk's money can I fit that in a cap right now after they got it all righty I don't know but I'm telling you if I'm if I'm John Lynch I'm gonna try to get a mid round picks because if if they're thrown O. G. Howard out there and I'm looking for a second time in the throat with with kindle a guy's good and he's young that's a that's a nice player but if I am chasing light I'm not given of the forty Niners now to trade in the area say try come back if you needed your resume rage there is on the Superbowl and right now the forty Niners other defending NFC champion so you may not want to do business with that would be wow that would be a nice addition and somebody with a good player so they would shrink Howard and keep Cameron brate you're saying I don't know who I I've just heard rumors it's been all over the place that they're trying to move O. J. Howard and then now you're hearing this stuff about ground which obviously has probably been in the works as far as talking to they do said two teams are talking and the grounds got one in ten left on his deal and I don't know how he is maybe maybe being out of football for a year he's feeling a lot better but you know obviously the Gronkowski was banged up at the end verses guy if if he's a little bit healthy then with Brady and those are Sievers who yeah I love Mick mix and I I don't see this happening but if they do check CJ Anderson has pretty much higher than I think a lot of people have him and this could be you know if you're talking about Dimitroff in Atlanta looking to trade up he wants to trade up to seven and six CJ Henderson good luck in a trade back I would do that and go back and you know maybe get alignment maybe catalog could be there but if it does happen this way now we'll see what day fast as the voice of the cardinals only have a minor mock at one fifteen I would think they would just take Derek brown and it would be over but will be by Todd brown would be already gone at this point John so that would mean Arizona may take an offense of linemen I could see them doing that as well unless this guy listed in art mock how he's dropped out yet so that would be for the forty Niners maybe one of these linemen who you think are gone could be available and have a discussion nearly worse is is there an obviously kills got the Intel from Iowa they've looked at him obviously I don't know but I think that I there are some surprises I think the charge they could take seven cell but I think it's the first real surprise in our mock draft it makes up for Carolina CJ Henderson who did not take dark brown yeah so brown but a little for day faster today yeah and I would think brown probably taken but he brings up a good point their corners are not good and they're small and you're going to get those kind of quarterbacks every single week now the rationale could be dark brown can you know push the pocket but you need some corners on the team there's no doubt Broncos bears on he's gonna be a problem at all yeah yeah Westrick after block that guy because she is she is she is he said washing chan Sam Adams all over again and some people think is even better and get out you know could be a better pass rusher than he showed it off or they could be Reggie white ever that cop I don't think it's quite that good but even if you Sam Adams and Chad Washington the question would be what you know is he a three down player or is he simply just a run play on first and second down player but that's surprising to me I thought I think actually Carolina will take Derek brown we never know Mick knows people serving us all right let's go to the Arizona pick coming up next day pass or pal of course we should be doing is to see him doing the NBA games and all sorts of stuff we met they they've passed so well we'll talk about that and the Arizona picking like I said there are grounds on the on the board offense of linemen on the board there to got the Andre Hopkins we probably don't need to go receiver but this is the first NFC west team to go day pastor join us and talk about it next only hear a pop and one on K. B. R. one four five and six eighty the sports center you're listening to Apapa in mind valuable now your Amazon echo smart speakers he sees KNBR one oh four five and six eighty sports leader full injury accidents from the children.

"Is and what you think of being what people describe woke or now one way or another but Rashida Jones who you know of course the daughter of Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones. Who's beautiful and highly talented that she actually they people online were giving her grief because in the show. Hashtag BLACK AF. She's not black enough. She's only half way was to people. Have a problem with Obama having a white mother. I mean what do people have anything else better to argue about the movie Selena and they got Jennifer Lopez and there was outrage the Mexican American community because she was Latina but she was on Chicanos. They said she's Puerto Rican. Well I mean. She's from Castle Hill. Which is not a bad neighborhood in the Bronx but whatever people get mad they get upset and a lot of people found out. Wait I thought she kinda Latina meant the same thing no no she kind of maybe Ghana that Tina is all like okay. Okay but anyway. I haven't seen Hashtag black half my friends say it's really funny and Rashida Jones got that. She was kind of wasted in that movie that social network where she played a young lawyer. She was good in that. But she's great in comedies. I do love her and that all right one. Eight hundred eight seven eight play. Let's go out to New York City. Charlie is in Hell's kitchen. What's up man curry? You my friend and I think all is right in the world now. That we know the raiders re-signed Nathan Peterman as their quarterback. I I really walking into Don and loves his guys and he loves him some and a man why does he and my next question is why or my first question. Why does he loves him? I mean what we saw a theme is that first half way through five picks his one I think is one startup flow I yeah. He sort of like gets tunnel vision on certain players particularly quarterbacks and just falls in love with them. What is it about this guy that he I mean what do you what do you think it is just as well? I think? Sometimes you'll you'll see a guy like let's say a Ryan Mallett at Arkansas that the Patriots drafted in Houston game a chance because he's six foot six. It's got a rocket arm. But he couldn't read defenses and he'd sleep there was alarms. Didn't think well I'll take a chance. I stood right next to nate. Peterman at Camp and NAPA. He's not a physical specimen and he's a Nice Guy. I think he's a bright guy he's not an NFL quarterback that's been proven. And but if you you know. He's a camp arm. He's Never GonNa see the light of day but it still. When I see the raiders signed guys like that it's still a little bit of a kick in the crotch. I fully agree. It's I mean. Listen if at any point during the regular season Peterman is on the field and Amini. Any game then raiders alcohol. Other slow problems Right idea sort of the same thing. I I generally had on before About the draft. I found it interesting what he was saying to us. It's making me now more intrigued. And Somehow the Raiders Committee which I don't think they will be able to move up in somehow Get Him All I I. I don't think he's going to fall. Twelve I and you mentioned The previous caller that you think the raiders will not take a receiver in the first round. You think they'll go no. I don't think they'll take him at a take a wide receiver at twelve. Okay yeah because now. I think if if for some reason Jerry. Judy is there. They won't be able to. I mean the thing is if you draft. Cd LAMB or Jerry. Judy there's your number one wide receiver on the team. There is the new Mark Cooper. There's a guy you thought you were getting in aby so that might be really hard to resist. But because they're at nineteen which means that just Jefferson will probably be there. And here's mayor I love Arizona State. I'm a fan but brandon. Au I'm not then again. I loved Harry But I I don't want a their nineteen so we'll we'll see it's too obvious to take the wide receiver but knowing that the raiders problem has been basically has been for over a decade defense. It'd be hard not to go defense. If there's outstanding linebacker or corner you like they're the only thing is I would not reach for a corner at twelve and so you see. And that's the whole thing about perceived value you know you're not GonNa Take Jeff Glad Ni at twelve but if CJ Henderson from Florida if CJ Henderson is at twelve. I think they nab him really. You think you think they would take him at twelve. He's there 'cause I've seen him go from eight nine to fifteen so I think he's there. That might be too much for them to resist taking him. And he's one of those guys who's you know six foot two two hundred pounds. I wouldn't cry if he's the guy. Yeah I've seen his name tied to the raiders to in the draft You know just all these mocks the you know the the some oxide red hat. The raiders taking him at twelve. He's there so yeah. Listen I yeah I mean. We'll see what happens because we're so. Sports deprive them too. I'm GONNA treat like you said in the opening. I'm treating the draft like Christmas Hannukah New Year's same patty every holiday wrapped up until you know it's it's all sports starve but Anyway that's all I let me give you one more name to think about you. Go Yes sir. Yes and that is that. If the raiders can't resist and I WOULD. I think I'd rather prefer them not to pass on a judy or cd-rom when you look at nineteen because Henderson will probably be gone. The next name that I like is a guy named major terrell from Clemson who is another guy. Who's six foot two two hundred? He ran a four four two at the COMBI and knowing Mike Mayock and his his pension for taking Clemson Tigers. That could be another guy. That might be where they go because they're not going to go offense with both pigs but that could be a guy that they go with that Nineteen receiver twelve. You Mean Ashley. Go with the receiver at twelve to go with two defensive players twelve and nine linebacker. I don't think so they. They're they're dying for the number one receiver and it's not going to be Williams and it's not GonNa be bunker hunk of interest. He's not GonNa be forgot his name name. Name of Jones the incomparable. So yeah I think deep down hearts you want the sexy picks on think I'm kind of hoping but AJ Terrell opposite his His former teammate mullen. I don't know maybe a work. Yes right he's projected starter Mullins RIGHT RIGHT ALL RIGHT. All Right Rick thank you. I'll talk to you tomorrow buddy. Show there is. That's the Charlie Alka New York City in Manhattan but that's the thing about corners. I mean they can be any position is hit or miss but I still have nightmares about taking a corner and stead of Aaron Rodgers. Who is the next pick. I think that's why I'm a little bit gun shy. But it's basically Jeff Ikuta. Cj Henderson Christian Fulton is definitely up there and Trevan digs is definitely up there and then Jeff gladdy after that you start getting into probably day three Christian Fulton when you look at him out of Lsu He definitely had some great moments while he was there and pick sixes and all that it's just knowing what works on Saturdays and what's going to work on Sundays is that's you know that's ninety percent of the battle. "CJ Henderson going to be the guy that is the apple of the eye of many teams I mean I saw rumor as of a few days ago that the New York Jets and I know from my local audience right now the New York Jets or team that knows they need an offensive tackle knows they need a wide receiver and yes they have a need at corner but you've got to support young quarterback I mean if the jets going take CJ Henderson with the first pick that is such a monumental mistake as far as I'm concerned if one of those four tackles is there and now the story line is coming out and this is giving me deja vu to the draft in two thousand sixteen it's about the backed in red flags as far as marijuana testing I mean this is where we're at right now look I would rank back then as my top back on the board but he's a physical freak and how many teams including the New York Giants and I remember killing Jerry restore local radio in York when he passed up the chance to take where army tonsil because remember in that two thousand sixteen draft that was the infamous appalling mass video for council and there were some teams and all this away in the world can take on characteristic he fell right into the lives in a Miami Dolphins and the New York Giants ended up with Eli apple I would argue it's one of the reasons generates no longer had a job within you know two years because you'll apple ended up being a floundering corner on his team and you see where me counsel turned to one of the best tackles in the sport the giants had a glaring need on the offensive line and they fail to address there are some red flags that should scare you as an organization hearing about marijuana testing I'm sorry that is not going to be like the be all end all for me it's just not if I believe back then is one of the four top tackles like they'll give an example the jets who we mentioned a minute ago need to tackle need alignment it back then is there for them any other three tackles are gone we're talking about worst with talking about Willis with talking about Angie Thomas all three of those guys who got I wouldn't think twice I would think twice I'm taking a tackle I'm gonna hopefully let him turn in flourishing to a physical freak and an old up on my wide receivers in the second at the rock there's a lot of hot air there's a whole lot of smoke that comes out these weeks leading into the draft you don't know where it's coming from and this year he even has more of a fishy stench to it in many ways because guys are gonna facility so you want to tell me that okay you got a certain person in the organization reaching out to I Daniel Jeremiah reaching out to a male Kuiper and that's how they're trying to like plant the seed of what may potentially go down maybe maybe there's some of that but I think for the ultimate decision makers this draft and the way it's going to go down and let's hope every team is making sure that their wifi connection is where it needs to be I hope that they have very very strong wifi okay and I don't know if you guys have been there in the fantasy football baseball jazz I know that I have where all of a sudden your internet like craps out and you're basically on the limo going to dial any like scrambling to get only four G. U. Y. you just get on the phone getting the draft what you need to do yelling and screaming whoever runs away please pause the draft we're going to have any of those connection issues I was already the Dave Gettleman set up dozen Dave Gettleman look like a guy just turned on a computer for the first time I mean you see the Chargers GM he's got like the iPad's he's got like they'll the five screens going you know he's got the modern sort of set up that I would expect many of these general managers are going to happen but it's very very easy to poke fun at Dave Kalama number one because of some of the things he says to the local media New York and then you look at his job performance which is just been flat out deplorable over two years so you see on he kind of gives off this impression of being out of college she heard talking about the computer guys last year yes modern day NFL general manager was talking about computer guys as far as an analytics that but if you get on with that computer it's like holy moly buckle up this is our reality for Thursday and it's going to be what was it I've already cleared my calendar it's nice in a way to know come Thursday I got no the worry about as far as contemporaneous shall that is gonna be a lot of that is going to have some drama that there's some big names abound in what we talking about a massive to a free fall I don't think it will be due to the Wonderlic test if tool is going to fall in this draft if the Miami Dolphins and I'm gonna take the five if the LA Chargers are not going to take him at six to me it will be far more due to the medicals then it will be the idea of a certain test I still would do it you're asking me to invest in a quarterback not named Joe moral that's the guy I'm taken now I'm really not thinking twice we got a lot to get used to get bored I wanna hear from you a five five two one two for CBS eight five five two one two four two two seven it's D. J. jazzy Stansky we are nation wide on CBS sports radio we'll we'll go on WFAN in New York also it's a draft reaction from the true are horrible who will be the second quarterback taking what are the patriots looking to do you find this idea that they're rolling on taking a quarterback in the first round and would you be scared off with medicals all marijuana medicals when it comes to Mr backed out a little I for one would not your call is your reaction dressed up across the board we get all wrong right after this.
