"Because the ownership situation, it's going to have to happen quickly. You know, of course we're going to talk about the usual suspects. The Dodgers and the Yankees. Big market teams. There's all kinds of reasons why they would want Soto. They certainly in a position to pay them long term. I'm going to install for me, Tim, the favorites to get Soto this summer, the San Diego Padres. They are in a win now mode, they have prospects to anchor potential deal CJ Abrams. You would assume they're terrific young shortstop would be in that deal. Their owners absolutely motivated. And unlike the Dodgers or Yankees, who I think would be concerned about the question of, okay, we need to get this player locked up into a deal. I think the Padres would make a deal for Soto and be comfortable saying, you know what? We'll have them for three pen races. This year, next year and the year after that, can you imagine a padre lineup that starts out with tatis junior Juan Soto and Manny Machado? Another team that's talked a lot about the Texas Rangers. I'll go into that a little bit more forward as to why that is, but for you which team do you look at as being a potential match for a deal for Juan Soto? Well, you already said the two obvious ones, the Dodgers and the Yankees because they have the most money and the most resources and it's going to take both in order to get him and get him signed. But the Padres make a lot of sense, bustard. They they're 6 and ten in July. They are not a good offensive team, especially without Fernando Tatís Jr.. They're in trouble as far as making the playoff go, even though I think they will, no matter what they do, they need him more than the Dodgers need want Soto. They need him. The Yankees had a 157 homers. The first half of the season. That's the fourth most ever. The Dodgers don't need any help offensively. They have a great team and a tremendous offensive team. The Padres need help. I think they can make the playoffs without them, but imagine adding him for the stretch run and getting to October with a healthy, as you said, tatis Soto and Manny Machado.
