"We can't get ahold of him. What do you want to hide it? You know what he wanted to do to tell you that we did get a hold of him and he's not coming. I mean, lie to you or not say anything, because then we get crushed for that, too. Whatever well and then you get the reaction Here is Louise RoHaas or Louis as B V W calls him has he bothered with the way suspect has handled himself. Access to this personality, which will know here, you know, he's a guy that's he's very quiet. You know, It's very it's himself, but everyone gets along with them really well. They know the type of conversations you can have with him and with him as well. And you know, we respect the fact of making this decision even if it's just this way. Hey says in terms of what the team Oh, I guess now former teammates will think here's rowhouse. We have a great group of guys here that you don't understand if somebody's making a decision because it's related with the car. What's going on? You know, obviously, there's a lot of insanity. You know, with the behavior of this fires and what's going on, and you know that's why this option in there, so you know the guys are going to be very understandable about I'm sure and I just a couple of other things from this game. The Mets trading for outfielder Billy Hamilton at some point on Sunday or late Saturday night, and I said Frieda, Freddie Freeman Homer, he singled in a run drove into on the day. Also from baseball, The Rod, the Dodgers blank the Diamondbacks three, Nothing home runs for bets and Bellenger Clayton Kershaw season debut five and 2/3 Three hit ball and the Astros beat the Angels and 11 65 showing Otani, though pitched a good first inning really struggled in the second and supposedly, he's got armed troubles now so we will see what comes of that. Football. Wise Jets release guard Brian Winters. CJ Mosley over the weekend ops out of the season. Leonard Williams with the Giants has a hamstring injury placed on the nonfootball injury list. Ah, And in Pittsburgh, Mike Tomlin spoke as Thie stealers are getting ready for training camp. It's weird times, but they're on the field, at least will be, and that's a good thing. It is a unique circumstance but is unique for everybody. We're all kind of feeling that way. I know one thing. I speak the groom when you expressed the sentiment that we're all excited. We missed football man. We were glad to get get get moving. We've got a lot of respect for this environment that we're in and We're working our tails off the familiarise ourselves in a deer to the cova protocol, and I saw I was in l. A with Rams. I guess they're very sad. Gist, Sean McVey said, feels very comfortable with the protocols that they have put in place. Now that around, I guess Yeah, I know. But he's shown McVeigh was crushing everything. He's out. Right now. We're going to play football man. We're going to do this. And that's what the big deal that he actually walked into the building and likes what they've put together at. Yeah, that's good Stand. "Let's get some segments first up. We have trouble in paradise for the Green Bay packers because floor said today. Aw about Aaron Rodgers Air our quarterback and I see him here for a really long time Yeah. It's always good when you have to say who your quarterback is it's like the vote of confidence and a head coach Rex's our quarterback rex is our quarterback also interestingly said, he sees him here for a really long time which either is a lie or he just forgot that they drafted Jordan love with the first round pick I mean I think. So if Aaron Rodgers played really well this year, which he probably will, he might opt out I could see. Aaron, Rodgers opting. Actually. seems like a guy that could take your off go hang out in California with one of girlfriends. Yeah. The House that he bought her because he's a symp- but I think that if he does play this year and he plays well, it's going to be the Brett farve thing they're going to give him two more years. They'll probably make him do press conferences with Jordan. Love just to remind him that he's there breathing over shoulder. Yes and then after a couple seasons, he'll go somewhere else. It would be a real shame of and went back to the Tequila. Real shame real shame or the Scotch I just love the idea of just saying earners are quarterback league, no Duh but. Maybe. It isn't know Donnie more. I'll put it this way. Aaron Rodgers right now if if NFL teams were available on like Zillow or any of those how shop real estate apps he would be looking at Las Vegas right now he'll be like swiping around checking out maybe Jacksonville? No say that income tax there probably be checking out Tennessee at some point no state income tax there either looking down at the Dallas. Cowboys who'd be looking he would rather I think play from Mike McCarthy right now than Matt Leflore. Yes. Say What you want about Mike McCarthy. But he never acquired a good quarterback to play behind him and he could go Aaron Rodgers, always good in in Jerry world. So maybe he goes down to Dallas. That's right. They use that as leverage against AC skip bayless would absolutely himself? Yeah Oh that would be. Would he do? You it's gotTa be a package deal with Mason Crossbar. He He'd have to get it get Aaron Rodgers Cowboys Jersey on the ready for his Dick High Microwave. Though like when Mike McCarthy was the coach of the packers he got, he would like specifically bring in bad quarterbacks just to make Aaron. Rodgers, feel like he was welcomed slide or no he'd. He'd bring him in to make Aaron Rodgers fuel. Okay Oh. Yeah. Like okay. You know that Sean Kaiser isn't GonNa take your spot. Yes. Now Matt Leflore doesn't have all that background with Aaron Rodgers and he doesn't know how to treat them. So now he's just like he's really fucked with them so Aaron Rodgers I I actually agree with you that like I could. See this season totally blown things up between the two of them. Yes. What just fill out of we're just watching something just fell out of a red sox pitchers hat is that legal He just has he has a card underneath his hat I. Think it's the stats. That's kind of funny. Actually when you do that, he was looking at earlier I think it has something to do with like the thing with the catcher I would like to see pictures start to wear like arm sleeves quarterbacks. That'd be Kinda cool. That'd be nice with all the stats. Pitch a guy like a play sheet. Yeah. Let's have it happen. It looked like one of those things that just taunts you that says, do not eat this packet they always want to eat like I didn't want to eat it until you fucking told me not to now. It looks delicious. Sorry I got distracted by live sports. Pretty Nice not sorry you to do the segment. Balmy out. Yeah. Bum me out featuring big cat. Thursday night would be hall of fame game. Oh come on man. have been the first like God. There's football on TV. No, no helmets. No it wouldn't because the season got pushed back but it would it would be next Thursday. No, it would have been Thursday don't don't tell me would have been Thursday under regular circumstances it would have been third I haven't unbutton meow. Six tonight is the first one I've felt. Let's go right up good job. Let's go jake who would've been on on Thursday night at the whole big it was the steelers and I don't know who else cowboys maybe who it depends on who's going yes steelers and Calculus Okay I've got steelers who is going to haul famous. Might is six and a half. And over under is forty. The best when it's the first and that would have been the start hard knocks. Yeah fuck hard. Yeah. Are you taking the awesome. Yeah. I would take the over and then watches like the third string for string guys who aren't even GonNa make roster suck and I'm like damn. But at least I get to see football my screen you see the NBC graphic just feels good. It does it feels good for about a quarter. It feels good for less than a quarter. It feels good for four minutes tops I mean we get A little bit. This year that'd be kind of cool All right to see Mike McCarthy in those colors. That's really what I would be looking forward to myself and how those that accents has fat face. Yeah. That's a Dinger Oh. Damn. Aaron Judge How many homeless? Five, five games are he's he has five home runs as. PISS. Tests Wow. He's on pace for fifty five home runs. That's not that many. Record actually no we were going to games they played seven. So so he's actually on page for fifty eight game home runs because he missed the first two games, a union, run my games in a row. He's GONNA run every game for the rest of the season you'd have to assume now if he hits if he hit sixty one home runs this year is that the new the new record? Yes I'd have to say I would say probably All right Let's finish up. I'M GONNA. Bum You out too quick this Thursday, the fifth major, the PGA champion drew. Yes. True. Six major six. Travelers as the fifth John Deere's the fourth. That is true..
Why Did Mitsubishi Furlough the SpaceJet?
"Development of the Mitsubishi regional jet kicked off with great fanfare in two thousand, eight, the to family aircraft offered an environmentally friendly design and state of the Art Pratt and Whitney geared turbofan engines. It was also a milestone for Japan's aerospace industry, which has developed just one complete commercial aircraft since World War Two. The Y. S. eleven turboprop, which ceased production in nineteen, seventy four. Aircraft Lesser Titan Steven udvar-hazy told Mitsubishi at the time that if it could pull the program off, it could quote do what Toyota has done in cars and quote, first deliveries were targeted for two thousand thirteen, but that date came and went, and the program struggled with repeated delays. Recently rechristened the space jet, the program seemed to have stabilized, and then the covid nineteen crisis hit faced with its parent company's need to drastically cut expenses. Mitsubishi aircraft has suspended development of one of the to space. Joe Models halted test flights and wound down production. So. Can the program survive this setback? And how does it alter the already turbulent dynamics in the regional jet market? Joining me to try to make sense of all this are Bradley. Parrot, aviation weeks Beijing bureau chief who has followed the Mr J.. procreate spaceship program for many. And in Frankfurt, aviation weeks executive editor for Commercial Aviation Jens Flottau so, Brad, let's start with you. Would you fill us in on? What's going on with the space jet? Yes, there's a very apt metaphor we can use basically the programs being fellow D- Justice and employer over the past few months may have told her a worker to start working. Just go home, but bought consider him or herself sack. The the sorry Nyj I had space jet. Basic Development is basically being welcomed down to a very slow low level It's not being completely. Stop so far as I can tell and very little is happening for the moment for how long well we don't know, but just as an employee as being followed has not has not been set. The Emma J program has not been canceled. Sorry, spaceship program, forcet an Olympic explain exactly what what is flowing amounts to. The company has six prototypes which are being completed. There were four main tests light. Light, base, in Moses Lake in Washington that fleet was waiting for another aircraft, the sixth most recently built one, which is the one which is crucial cruise, one is the one that actually embodies the the standard of design which can be certified, and the aircraft was supposed to go was supposed to carry the main burden of the remaining flat testing that was a situation as about three months ago two months ago. what's happened now of course is that. Is that the mostly basis bay multiple? The small remaining there just to maintain the the prototypes. That's important. They're not being scrapped or anything like that to being maintained and that six prototype which has finally finished in March is still in Meghalaya, and that's where it's interesting for the moment. At the State of the program, most development is actually flight testing, and they're not doing The production will. Production is continuing for the eighth off seven speed finished. The eighth is, we'll be finished. But other production is being stopped. which will mean -Tory work. Flight testing work. What's left? The development engineering team, and that's going to be reduced to some extent, and that's basically what's going to be puttering along for the duration one lost. Important point is that. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries which is the majority owner of Mitsubishi. Aircraft decided in early May to go ahead with the purchase of Combodia CJ program, including factories that indicates love commitment to the program. Brats I'm I mean the the most intriguing part of the to be at least is the shelving of the M one hundred at the smaller. Version of the two, and as far as I can tell, they are going back to the Bronx drawing. Bolt for this program now that it has finally become a scope compliance the US. I'm just curious. Do you have any indications about what's that's relaunch might entail is becoming bigger is becoming smaller was a would at all. No simple answer is no. They probably don't themselves

"You get into game against the rhythm like it's hit or miss like things shift and change your mindset mice never changed like I. Miss Every shot. At could be over twelve thirteen. Ms Thirteen fourteen gotta go in. That means gotta make fourteen wrote like only matter time of war I say law averages. So for me, that's how it's always been but for some people they're superstitious they gotta do this guy that me I've tried everything just throw off that mindset of I have to do this I. Could not take it out. I can facetime I grew I could not. But I'm still GONNA be locked in in play in those pregame shootarounds or just practice in general what is dame's range like when he's like when he's going through his routines does he sit and do like fifty foot shots and just practise those or what's what's that like aching comfortably shoot from half court a strong he's got like the reflections crazy. He's got a good bit he works on it in knows how to get the proper arc on the ball and Almost, like a set shot, but it's not for him because he's just like it's really athletes he doesn't really jump yeah. But he he works on that stuff thing people at home watch and they're like, well why they do this whether they do that it's like we saw practice everything that we do I don't go out there this experiment I work on stuff, and then I translate that to the game. It's like the pre-draft the rough draft in the final paper so for. Him He works on thirty footers. He works on forty footers, works step backs left at backs right just like the shot he hit against the thunder. They literally have video of him doing that same shot in o'casey the night before game want your before into the night before gained through his trainer Quebec ner tackle feel actually just had him somebody take a picture. He's like I had a feeling that. It was gonNA need to shoot a shot from this far like did named after shooting from forty feet now did have to really glad that he did though it was on. The issue. Ending. That picture that picture sign like this one wave a away so I can. Laugh, about ten years. Fifteen years. Yeah. You're right I. mean the striking thing about that shot is when he shoots it, it looks like a normal person shooting a three point shot. He's not. He's not like carrying a bunch momentum forward as limbs art flying out. He's not you know mechanic he's not you guys do. In, the craziest spots and it just nothing breaks like this reality radio and taking a shot, and he could be you know coming off a ball screen going momentum all the way to the left, and he gets his perfect like body square and everything is like how you do that I don't know you guys are crazy spreads is repetition is confidence understanding the your body gets used to like have you ever probably a bad comparison but have you ever driven home in like like Stop. Lights. Out Yeah. That's Like, how did I give yourself? You know what I mean. That's how it is your open like you do it every day like your body just takes control and you just can't like let your body react to certain things and then I'll watch this but I'll be like Damn I. Did that. Experience. That's like looking at my debit card statement on a Sunday morning. No nobody mean you're the same nobody that actually happens. Sometimes, we'll do a podcast like what we talk about. Yeah. That was a great show I don't even remember. Tweet US something you said and I'm like, wow, i. must black down the ran my mouth. "Tom Brady is not in trouble for going over to his offensive. Coordinator's House Byron Left. Which who? Tom went into the wrong house in. Tampa and I guess some of the Front Office people in the NFL were like. Hey you can't be there with your coaches. You're not allowed to do that and so tom I guess is not in trouble. What about breaking and entering thing that I I don't if you open the door and walk in. "cj" Discussed on Pull Up with CJ McCollum
"That's awesome man that that'll be utilized. Well there are a lot of people who are in need who are struggling going through a kind of figuring out the next steps This is this is definitely a terrible situation To be into health risk of leaving the house and then not actually being able to potentially provide for family. I can only imagine how how I would feel in that situation now. We have a special guest call again. He was drafted in two thousand fifteen first round eleventh pick. Nba Blocks leader in two thousand nine hundred all rookie. Second team. Two Thousand Sixteen. Let's go back to college a little bit third team all big twelve and two thousand fifteen big twelve freshman year. Mcdonald's all American First Team Parade All American two thousand fourteen hours and over twelve points seven rebounds this season for the Indiana Pacers special guest. House turnaround appreciates you call into the pull up. Doubtlessly you doing. I'm doing great man trying to hold up. He's like everybody else. Arthur good Jordan. You said that he has dogs. I have a dog. It's only right that we kick off the conversation you know. Besides what's going on in the world right now. You have dogs and cats you have. You have a mini animal shelter at home I I do. I'm a new dog owners so it's been an interesting adjustment for me. I'm two weeks in right now. we're trying to go through the potty training stage and it's been a hit or miss for the most part but mostly hits. He's only use the bathroom in the house. Four Times in two weeks most notably today. She left a beautiful yellow stain. On my wife plush carpet so That was the the morning news So to speak during these times not much action happening in the house but providing us with all of that you have any dog stories for US early on in your childhood. I know you said you have had dogs. Yeah so I had a dog. I really grow the cats and house. My mom loves cats wooded reason and my dad's like tape animals like he really does he. To keep on Chemo. Happy Whatnot so I got a little dog. Little fell on the dog. I'm sure you prefer bill a Maltese. Yorkie eighth grade. I think he'd like thirteen years old. Maybe and still spry as ever so gone a long time. I think he's actually get more with us and then we use do with him. I think he's used to having to help them. So kinda roaming free now. We're just constantly home. I mean you can kind of tell with dogs. They have ads. When you know what's interesting for us for me and we have. We have two dogs two cats. I feel like the animals are more irritated that I'm home now that it's like this whole process of they don't they don't have their alone time so it's been a big adjustment for our House. S. C. J. said we we have basically a mini animal shelter. It's very You know it's quite hectic but I my question for you with that mind is like now that you have all this time and obviously it's not time we any of US anticipated. What have you been doing differently throughout the day to not only escape from basketball but also like stay productive? Well the biggest thing and being a professional athlete obviously see drinking a little bit as well as it's routine that I think During the season even all these you have a certain routine you get into the first couple of days. I wasn't going stir crazy like just not having anything to do workout and dump everything by like ten o'clock then you know the entire day so I kind of just got to retain wake up now. My workouts in legal per run a little makeshift Jim. Mike Araj I mean. I'm pretty much got everything on eating their Do Yoga as well. Actually just back from that And then after that I kind of time to to at least study was going on around the world as far as Obviously the current virus right now seeing what's going on parenting come came up with that and I try to learn something new every day. It can be used to be random subjects like whether it's all about politics about the stock market something about I don't know some of my family members they're gonNA try to like just learn something new every day and night easy in the day gift you hours of video games that smart and that's something. I've told a lot of people to try doing during these times is step outside the box. Do something you wouldn't normally do whether that's reading a book that that you would normally read if you'd like nonfiction may be venturing into fiction and for you learning different things that are happening around the world and just kind of adding skill set. I think that's crucial invite because as an athlete we're used to challenges we're used to being able to compete and do certain things and I think when you step outside their comfort zone that's when you see the most growth you talked about yoga. I know you've done a big transformation on your body understanding the importance of nutrition diet and just kind of finding that overall mental wellness. When did you start practicing yoga consistently and how have you been able to kind of keep it going? I know there's a lot of virtual stuff gone in. Some places may still be opening and allowing people to practice at six foot Social Distance Minimum. But how have you been able to kind of keep that ally? Because with the with this season the schedule we travel so much. It's hard to consistently do it now. We have this huge break to where we can do. Just about anything within the home confinements. Yeah so the biggest thing with me. You centers is that they like to challenge myself ways and that's like yoga is on thank you. There's no peak to it like there's not like Baxter like Yoga instructor out there. There's always something that you can get better at a job. You can do so with that. Being said like translation. My body was huge for me. You know I came in the League. You know Kinda rookie free frail and you know you're going against guys like White Howard and the data Jordan. The real strong is the league so I knew I had to do something. You can let all the way she went. But it's all about function -ality and In the flexibility especially being a guy like me who you are but I'm on the perimeter lodge around running a lot so This time has been perfect for that. You know I have a private instructor. We usually meet up at this park outside so I mean it's pretty funny. It's the opens. People will just walk by. You seem big Black Dude. As Yoga in the middle of this park in this neighborhood the look. I get are quite hysterical. But for the most part Yoga's into the moment work on your breath and whatnot so nothing hughes this for me was probably my third year in the League. That's when I really start doing it consistently Not as much during the theme with the schedule The whatnot. But I'm like this is perfect hunters go back in Quite routine maximum. Lose power wouldn't be able to do Within a given off season see. I know you've talked a lot about yoga. And and how beneficial? It's been miles. Can you speak to the benefits? You've seen mentally to Because obviously physically your body has change and and we've seen that without question but I'm curious mentally the benefits that you feel you've gotten from it or it makes you lock in relation really focus on the breath. I think there's a lot of things like like like like my my yoga teacher. She's crazy by likes me. We do a lot of unorthodox stuff like she her studio. There's a whole bunch of Wassenaar find quite legit wash. That are flying around right and I thought that was like the weirdest thing but it actually intentional to put in there to make you lock in and knock focus on the WAAS 'cause like you don't let them know message you there's this weird like energy balance thing that she's trying to preach to me But I'm not sure how true that is but it is what it is anyways Yeah like that or like show tape my mouth shirt. I have to briefly my nose and literally like makes you just focus in on the moment. You can't think about anything outside of your practice. Did you can be in a fool pogues and you. It takes like all your body strength and you start thinking about something else you slip one. Little Muscle can Clip you up. You just fall like on your face. Oh really maybe locked in on the side of things. When I'm in the month the free throw line. Kinda just focusing a little bit better than I had in the past or in the fourth quarter in my kids don't know keep his ass or something like that. I'm able to focus on my breathing. A little bit more as opposed to gain tired so if they had a lot about benefits to so you're in your yoga class and they're literally lost flying around the room. Lots of wasp legitimate bro. Like straight straight misogony type stuff like I explain to the people they all come back with the same reaction but now it's to the point now like I don't even know that they're just trying around you hear them one of Landlo- me one time I just couldn't even stay on pose but that's just a focus. You put up over time just getting better with it. You've never been sung. I've never been sung to know and it's like I'm knock on wood. I'm never been stone Cj I'm trying to picture near Damn near seven foot miles in this class with wasp. I mean you don't you don't mess with a Waas A. B. is is is its own entity but a wasp is different. Cj Can you? Can you picture? This would never participate in something like this and I'm the type of person who really enjoys yoga like I really like Yoga especially high yoga. But I don't like those types of creatures insects can't get down with them an alum of I'll be able to to focus In a room like that but I think I think I get what you're saying from a from a mental wellness standpoint. If you can really just concentrate and be president with what you're trying to accomplish in Rome understanding you're just there to get yoga done. I can see how that can make things better for you especially in the sports world and Segue into the game where we played you guys. You hit a big three down the stretch. We needed that went to. I'm still thinking about it. We needed that went badly. We're getting stops. We're in Indiana one possession. Game you hit three may make it into a two possession game from a concentration standpoint. You said that it helped you with free throws would you say that it's helped you with your overall ability to not only perform during games would be able to block out the media because we we live in a world where we're constantly criticized and receive constructive sometimes not constructive criticism from fans Yemen. I think that you know this season was really big for me. You know I transitioned from. I've been the five like mine are life and I'll play it a little bit of foreign college but this year full-time like power forward and that was a huge adjustment for me. But I'm used to shoot three in an opponent of out of the printer and the entire game thousand announcement. I just didn't see coming off season so obviously I struggled like the first like month month and a half the season just to kind of find my niche out there if I'm a role and just in from like the pro- productivity standpoint a lot of criticism you know especially you know from fans from national international and then you know even coming off the team. Usa stuff this summer in obviously that was a big thing as well so does here in that criticism from everywhere. It was suggested for me. And I I I went to the point where I deleted like all my social media like out of state off everything but then it kind of to me that you just let these people win in a sense and I kinda got back actually a full conversation with my yoga teacher about it and I think she kinda got me back into back in the swing of things not real like are obviously. I'm a mentor. People I talked to she really helped me out. During that time you know going back to that That center of Focus and then like the the what you're trying to accomplish in the long run. You know not the moment so the criticism you know suck to this part of the business you know the price of fame in a sense but Kind of getting back to my roots and getting back to what.
Neutralizing Negative Thoughts
"How are you going to ask a question? It's a simple question. You may not know the answer right now. You might have to check might have to reference it but I'm GonNa ask it anyway already. Do you know what day it is today. I mean what day of the Week. It is because a lot of folks. Your schedule's been flipped upside down. You're working at home. These days can't quite figure out what data's that's a bad thing actually. It's the daily boost from motivation to move dot com since about two thousand but we start in two thousand and five the show starred in two thousand six simple mission get up in the morning. See with world brings you could. We don't always expected to bring a pandemic but it does sometimes and it gets in her way like it's in the way okay. Well how do we deal with it? You know if you get done with the freak out and some people are still freaking out. Some people have really bad lives right now. It's it's really tough for a lot of others are barely even touched by an kind of an odd thing. So we're finding a new place to figure it out but it happens and we just work through a day by day. But why tell you what I've heard from? People that are in their homes these days and some are saying. I can't wait to get back to the office others going. This is kind of cool. I kind of like being at home at the time years ago. I made the switch I. I decided I didn't want to work in an office anymore and I actually didn't work in too many of them because I worked in Radio Section. Walk in and go through the office and go to the studio and you morning shows and I was doing the last morning show every day in West Palm Beach. Florida and As driving about sixty miles a day to get that while one way to get there so one hundred twenty miles a day. Four o'clock in the morning him on the highway cruising sixty minutes down. The radio station was getting kind of tired of it. The drive and so I started doing some math one day and the Matthew says if I drive two hours a day five days a week fifty weeks out of the year. That's about five hundred hours of driving. And then I divided it by forty a forty hour workweek right and came up with twelve point. Five forty hour workweeks driving like a third of the year and about a week later. I couldn't get out of my mind. I quit my job. So that's not GonNa do more and I took a Home Office as I'm saving all the time and putting it in into life and I've had a lot of clients through the same thing so maybe right now. You're thinking the same if you do that math right now. Some of you are going to sit at the dinner table tonight going. You know what I heard today. Do you know how many hours it's coming right. Haze Scott Smith good to have you. Thanks for stopping by. We're going to talk about neutralising. Negative thoughts today awesome show. Because I'm feeling the need to purge them from here's all show you a simple method to To get them out here get out of your head. Couple of days ago. I started getting emails. And there's a consistent theme in those e mails it was God. Have you noticed that the economy is kind of like stopped as pandemic is stopped? And we just don't know what's going to be happening and I love your show. I want this podcast and I want my Daily Mail. Daily Click text message and I want the Fisher Passion coaching. But I'm kind of looking nineteen ninety-five gotta be smart here a CJ do so. Let me help so for the first time since two thousand six. I cut the price from nineteen ninety-five down to nine five fifty percent discount during this pandemic. That's going on right now. It's available to you. Nothing's changed just price. If you're interested. Go TO MOTIVATION WHO'VE DOT COM GET? Signed up right now okay. So are you having nightmares? Lot folks are having nightmares really bad dreams right now and I'm having some weird dreams. I wouldn't call them nightmares but weird dreams. Negative thoughts though popping up throughout the day. A lot of people are doing the right now and why not there is a lot going on. There's a lot to worry about depending on where you are in this particular Process we have going right now with a pandemic. It could be very negative for you. It's kind of hard to be positive. Isn't it yet force that so I was thinking about it? I was actually working with a couple clydes helping them. Kind of neutralize. Those thoughts and a part of my job won't kill. Let's bring it here and the more I began to think about the MOIS. Okay where do I begin to pick up this? Take that I use to neutralize those negative thoughts and when I I really began to be aware of it was when I was studying for my pilot's certificate learned a little airplanes got instant radio thing and as I was going through the process. I thought it was all about flying airplanes whether things like that but I was really surprised by the emphasis put on the health of a pilot state of mind now in the beginning I never had thought about it. But then again when you think about it. If you've ever watched movies you want the pilot to be feeling pretty good. Right if he's completely negative getting in the cockpit. That's not probably a good thing to do. Negative thoughts are hazardous to flying so they teach pilots to kind of recognize in that in themselves. And actually teach you to recognize it and crew members as well has it as thoughts. Negative thoughts man bad for life to. You might be feeling that right now so next time you're feeling negative. That thought nudging its way into your day. Here's what you do number one recognize it a lot of times. These things are flying in and out of your head. It were busy. Were caught up in the news and everything else is going on. Just survival really right and we're not taking the time to recognize what's happening. We might see it as a bad mood or just being grouchy. Just being depressed or something so I want you to stop and just if you can catch it in your brain catch it before it begins to bother you too much just recognize. It's their that is the first step toward neutralizing a hazarded negative. Thought it just recognizing and so simple sometimes when you just do that. Just by recognizing it's a thought. Sometimes it goes way. You don't have to do anything else. But what if you do while number two is got to label it? Got To call it. Something get identify why the Lousy thought is coming into your mind and Slab label on it. I do this all the time. I label everything when anything comes into my world and I just got to put. I got a call at something and if I don't know what to call it or what box it put it in. Or how file? I can't do anything with it bounces around my brain. It's like an open loop that goes on and on and on and on so label it when you know what to call it. You'll know what to do next so when you label it. Well I'M A. I'm just worried about finances. That's fine just label. I'm worried about money. That's cool. Just label it because now you can take a break. You know what it is. You've stopped that spin next. You prescribe the antidote and you make the underlying cause go away. Wash away the negative now. How do you do that? Well say it is money so you're worried about that. Do what I did doing an inventory. You go and you see exactly where you are and you start to make a bit of a plan I promise you when you recognize that label it and then begin to deal with it even the smallest amount the worry while will still be there will not be this unfettered in your face driving you crazy making his not sleep. Khanna worry it'll be more controlled. You'll feel more like you. That's all you need to do. And it all stops starts just by stopping it and recognizing what's going on. It can be incredibly easy to get caught up in negative negative. Not if you will find yourself frankly in a state of overwhelm. It's everywhere right. Now GonNa put the brakes on it. Take a few minutes. All of those steps recognize it sloppily. Bilotta and then prescribe prescribe the solution described. Don't just fiddle around with it. Literally sit down and say hey. I'm the doctor me. This is what I'm GonNa do rectify this problem. Even if you can't get all the way they're just the fact that you put it up on the table you can see where it is John to Stan would initiate where it's coming from and now you have at least somewhat of a path to head down to get get it taken care of. You will sleep so much better. I promise you by the way. Did you know that alcohol sales are up? Fifty five percent and marijuana sales are off the charts right now. I bet you didn't even have to tell you that. And you just know it right when you walk into a store and they've been armed guards standing around the beer you know. There's an issue going on so breath agee breath. I'M GONNA come back tomorrow. I can't I have no idea what I'm talking about because I'm talking to my coat my members I'm talking to my clients. I'm I'm seeing what's necessary. And then we craft the story for the next day but it'd be good one because man. My phone is ringing like crazy. Appreciate also check in industry yellow. I'm doing and you have great day. I'll see tomorrow.

"Honestly look at their roster looking at what they have from offenses standpoint break and continue to throw the deep ball be accurate Take care of the ball obviously Better than James has in past which which you know quite frankly won't be that hard. Since James Later League picks I think if he can continue to be accurate. Get rid of the ball. Fast because as brash appointed hour. Tom Isn't a big Guy Tom. Tom Takes the wrong hit. This could all be over in a hurry. Which is the case for a lot of players but more specifically for Tom. Because he's forty three plus years old. He's got to be very cautious about getting rid of the ball and hurry and I'm sure they're going to load up on linemen in the play calling will be sped up. In order to get him out of the pocketing in in rid of the ball as fast as possible. But I think the moral of the story here is that Timothy is going to be very good and this is. This is just like off topic a little bit but on topic. Do you think the Patriots would target cam? Newton one thousand percent. He's free now just throwing that out there. I think it makes sense on for a variety of reasons Number One. They would love to be able to run the ball. And you're talking about this fifty eight career touchdowns on the ground. He's obviously been MVP. He's only thirty years old and I know here's the thing about about the Patriots right like they have Jarret Stidham there. He's a young guy that they like and I think they have seen the the way the. Nfl is moving in terms of quarterbacks that need to be mobile and extend place Cam. Newton is only thirty. He's he's obviously taking a lot of hits but if his shoulder is okay if his shoulders medically cleared. There's no reason why New England wouldn't want to take a really serious look at him. Cj The only thing I would say is that given the situation we have the state of Coronavirus Cam's not going to be able to get in that building and take a physical and it is late now in the quarterback game right we. We've seen a lot of guys get homes. But why wouldn't you WANNA take a shot? At least look at them. They have to definitely give them a lot but you said before he pointed out a lot of interesting points with the corona virus. He's not able to take a physical. They're not sure of flooding. Only play two games in two thousand nine hundred. And here's the kicker if Carolina New. They didn't want him. Why would they wait until after agency started to Theresa is terrible? I said this when the news came out like they put them in a really bad spot. He doesn't have any leverage now. There's only a couple of teams that really need a quarterback. I mean we. We've talked about the chargers. And whether or not tyrod Taylor is the guy. They're gonNA draft a quarterback. I I'm sure but but cam like you know he. His window would have been two weeks ago. Bef- As for AIDS. He was getting ramped up to to really think about okay here here. My realistic options. Now to your point see. He doesn't really have a lot options. Pundits will say he's losses last eight starts. I still think there's some juice left in Cam. Newton I guess I would ask you. This is there. Is there most ideal home for him? Like I talked about the chargers the Patriots team where you would say. I would like him to go there. I mean I don't know whether or not he wants to be a backup but he certainly going to have to consider it. Originally I thought Chicago was the spot for him I thought that s a spot that made the most sense. Great Defense I look into potentially make a change of quarterback. I felt like that something would consider. Obviously this is a good quarterback draft so teams are going to move cautiously optimistic. You know you've got boroughs going on you know you got Herbert going. Pretty early You got to on the list goes on and on so some teams may be thinking. Hey let's just let's just try to make a move for a younger guy Who We can develop and figure out what is ceiling is. There's no doubt in my mind. Campus starting quarterback in this league. And it's just a matter of where and I thought originally Chicago bears team for him. But now I'm unsure Cleveland back a bigger absolutely not. Don't disrespect him like that man. Well I'm just saying not camp. Slander will be tolerated. Kim Slander you said backup. Baker Min- slander man that's blasphemy. He's talking about MVP league so he's better than Baker right now. I'm not saying that. He's better than Baker. I'm saying that he is agent is not going to put him in that position. And if I was Baker's agent I would not that pit bull behind me. Love the moment he starts doing picks they're going to be saying I'm with you. We won't Cam you know what I'm saying. You don't want that type of that type of backlash that's like that's like the Sacramento Kings draft Jimmer draft Zia. Thomas Pitt. Put a pit bull behind someone. Who's WHO's not necessarily a pit bull. No and I'm with you. I've been very supportive of CAM. Still having a lot of a lot of time in this league but I'm with you with Carolina to like I I just I thought it was really unfortunate how it was handled in in just spotted puts him in Okay last note. Most notably most important nor the podcast. The wine cutaway music please. I'm glad we can reminisce on what we drink. We continue to drink and what we will do with this time in the house. I've been drinking a lot of Rosa. I've had some chardonnays. I've been able to explore some different region kind of figure out what I have an appetite for as I continue to dive into this wine world outside of the Pino World. Most recently I've had some fine fine. Fine rose as and. I want to share those with you. Obviously Rosa has a different type of price. Point to where you can explore twenty five dollar bottles thirty dollar bottles forty dollar bottles but right now I wanted to explore Arosa that I had from noma county at least actually went to cinema with her family last year. And they brought me back. A Paradise Ridge Noma Rosa which has an average price point or twenty six bucks. It was great As that Mellon Apricot tastes a little bit of peaches. Obviously strawberries as well. I was definitely funded drink Put it in the fridge for a little bit and I gave it a little bit of chill went right work.

"I don't even think it crosses mind until you did that. That's what made the video so funny because then you reacted to dame. Yeah drita comment Bro. Shit would you mean like and then I just I was talking about something else talking about my guess so I got this dog because I'm trying to change the subject I'm in I'm in conversation. Yeah this like I'm not like this is not a big deal to me. I was just reading the comments. I'm I'm moving onto to the dog. This is this is what we came here to talk about talking about this dog. And how you need to get one smell with my life thought process. It was like whatever I don't really care but let's talk about my puppy. That is so good. I mean honestly for those who haven't watched it and I would imagine that most blazer fans and and certainly All fans have indulged. It is really good stuff. It's a great video I it. It brought joy to an otherwise mundane corona day. So thank you. I'm glad I could bring some some joy and happiness to your day. I'll be doing some more. Instagram lies and things of that nature. And the next week or so I took a break from it and then have decided to send dive back in So to speak and we'll be doing that starting tomorrow. Cj stay in the game challenge. You got one hundred. Twenty eight and sixty seconds. You challenged me I gotta get out to accord. Do this what do you think I'm going to get because you know I don't have a handle. You don't have to do this at a court for Sarah's just want to start off by saying I did mine on my patio. Okay that's all I'm here. And he's excuses challenge longtime ago. I'm still waiting on the video but neither here nor there. I think if you do it as many times as I did you can get one hundred or more. It's all about getting used to this strategy. Because I I it's going to be hard you're gonNA figure out your stance like how you WanNa do it like how do you reach? How do you slide at you do it a few times? It'll be it'll be relatively easy for you to just keep your pace and knock it out. Some kids have sent me their challenges and have really destroyed. My point told and I think it's because the small you are the small you reach radiuses. They'll make reaches far right. It's like it's like a running back being loaded the ground and having that low center of gravity. And if you don't have to reach as far as long there's not as there's there's less elapsed time. Exactly exactly less elapsed time and less movement less me. I was having to go having to go to three feet to laugh and to three feet to the right and then get back to center which you know definitely affected my timing and my score. Well I I can tell you that. I will produce a respectable number. I don't know when I'll be producing it because well I guess now I don't really need to go to court. You ride just seemed good surface. I do have a ball and I will be producing a good number and I'm excited to to to get your reaction And also to show that you know I I I can. I can still play a little bit although I'm never been a good ball handler. It's actually been the really big issue for me for a long time so I'm a little bit concerned about it admittedly So that wasn't even meant to be funny but my handle has been long. Been so pathetic that it it really is. It's just a terrible ball handler. It's okay and this is what the APP is. Forest is to tighten up your handle. And it's not asking you to do anything out the ordinary. You can literally just do pound dribbles you'll have to you know crossovers no in announce you don't have to do any of this stuff if you don't want to and just reach. Just just find the targets. Keep your head up at times are to make sure you can see the target and it'll be easier than.

Scale, Scale, Scale
"So I wrote about an acquisition happened a year ago back in two thousand eighteen. I think not too much thought was given about it at the time which was edge. Well Personal Care Company more commonly known as the makers of Schick razors acquired Harry's. Actually people listening to this. Podcast are probably more likely to be aware of Harry's than most other people because this is one of the podcasts sponsors. Everyone's heard the you know our factory in Germany etc etc and they started out as this sort of direct to consumer offering where you could subscribe to your razor again. It's a model that make sense. You wear out razor blades. New Ones instead of going to the store and having to get them you can get them shipped directly and at significantly lower cost than the incumbents and. They're not the only ones. There's another company Dollar Shave Club which was in this space and I wrote about in two thousand fifteen when they were acquired they're acquired by Unilever. And what made this different is at Unilever? Didn't have a shaving business so they acquire them. Nobody deal as an opportunity to write inching article about the ways that you could build these companies online and then look for this year. The reason to write about this deal now is the. Ftc came in and said nope can't do it. Check cannot acquire Harry's because it will be anti-competitive and frankly the FTC's reasoning is pretty compelling article. Check every where I quoted a fair bit from it just to sort of really land the point but they're big focus was always great that you were online with dollar shave club but once you started selling in stores they started in target a couple years ago and then recently Walmart there was a significant competitive reaction by Gillette and schick where they lowered prices in response and they offered more promotions and it clearly had an impact on the market and so the FTC argued checked edge while the parent company is acquiring Harry's not simply because of the cost synergies or the expertise that they claimed but rather to remove a competitive threats. They can go back to having very sensitive razor systems in Walmart and target and other offline retailers. I think I agree with you from the FTC. Perspective that is a very compelling argument. It's gotTa feel if your Haris having seen dollar shave club getting sucked up by Unilever. It's kind of feel like a bit of an unfed punch. The right yeah. It's an interesting point. This wasn't the point of the article but I did sort of refer back to first. Do No harm which we discussed last week. And there's some very queer sort of issues that come up with this rejection. I mean the first one is that if you're an investor thinking about investing in a direct to consumer company. This has to give you pause because you know the drudge consumer businesses kind of a Internet version of the CPG BUSINESS. Pg being consumer packaged goods. So Gillette for example is owned by P. and G. which is the GRANDDADDY OF CG COMPANIES. Unilever is another one edge. Well is actually a bit of a edge case because they're a single product. Cpt Company which is relatively rare. Why is it rare? Because there is huge returns that come to scale. There's huge returns not just in terms of management notch production but also the sort of key point of whoever's for CJ companies is shelf space this idea that you have a place in the store where users can access your brands and you can leverage that to get other brands in and expand your presence and then you advertise it on TV again. A scale play. These are companies that are all about scale and the implication of this being an industry. That's all about scale is that there's not that many players in the industry 'cause like if there's a real path to scale that means there's massive benefits of consolidation generally and also to watch your own brands that will take over that shelf. Space tends towards a few arts companies. It follows though that there's not that many companies to acquire these companies. And if it's made the case that actually if you watch the DC space the FTC is going to regard you as an challenger driving prices it will not allow you to be acquired. That means you're only viable outcome is to SAUL IPO in challenge. Pg In the long run. That's great if that happens but the odds of that happening are dramatically lower than sort of developing and building a brand and a product that consumers really value. Yeah so one lens on this. Obviously you want to look at the market. And you want to do what's best in this specific market given the circumstances. But there is definitely the lens that you just described. Which is what are the incentives were having on the various players in the industry? And how do we make sure we not creating perverse incentives such that? Yeah we do the right thing here but like as you say we end up doing harm. Further down the road reading the reasoning from the F. T. say I wasn't sure whether it would resulting companies not wanting to go head to head against incumbent or whether it would be a different version of perversion. Paps notice bad in that it would be the case that they would be dissuaded from launching retail businesses. The fact that it was in the specific traditional old school retail channel. That was the thing that caused the additional problems for them and if they just stayed online then that might have looked more like the Unilever dollarshaveclub example. That's exactly right so that's the second disincentive right to reframe what you said. It feels like they were punished for going into bricks and mortar in not just staying online right and again if you back up and narrowly makes a lot of sense but you back up and look at it. Big Picture like wait. Is this the outcome we wanted? So we have two outcomes. One investors are absolutely disincentivize from investing in this sector and number two. The companies are disincentivize from expanding meeting consumers in as many channels as possible because it just limits their options in their outcomes. It's kind of like because we want theoretically a p. and G. Challenger were effectively closing off every other possibility but that makes it much less likely. Whenever takes the chance to challenge. Png in the long run right because you know if you play in this space you have to go. All the way to becoming the full on P. and J challenge at not just that Harry's is but like you said to the point of becoming the next big consumer packaged goods companies like. It's going to go. All the way becomes a binary outcome. It's either zero or one hundred. Obviously when you make a binary like that it's a lot harder to make it all the way to a hundred or we'd have most PG companies right in that case what does the competitive advantage relative to PNG if the big thing in CPG is scale and you can't be a niche player. Then you know how you even going to get there. It's a real problem. It's a real challenge when paradigm shift because again this. Why put source of disagreement on there? It makes total sense right but the problem is it doesn't really accommodate a different paradigm in a different business model now this applies to the FTC. It also applies to Harry's and I think it's worth exploring why it is that Harry's felt the need to go into bricks and mortar and they're not the only ones like there's lots of these companies that are opening up stores that are going into Walmart going into target and I think that is also another question as we're sort of thinking about an unpacking and was sort of the big focus of this article. Yes let's do it so back in two thousand fifteen and this was in the run up to allegation theory where I've talked about four. There's like a series of articles where I was like boom boom boom boom white putting all these pieces together and then sort of capture together but the most important one I mentioned before was this idea of the conservation of attractive prophets which is from Professor Christian. He put this in his second book. Which was the innovator solution which is interesting. Because the solution also contains the theory of sort of low end disruption module already integration. Which obviously I sort of attacking thought was misapplied in the case of the IPHONE and I think rightly so but it's a testament to the point that I'm looking to argue and debate with Russia. Christmas dinner was looking to in the interest of figuring out the truth. Not In saying like you don't know what you're talking about which I think has been a mistake of some of his critics and this is a perfect example where this is probably the single most or one of the most important pieces of Irish theory of my general thinking about markets and is from the same book where we started this gas. Because I was saying that it's so anyhow this idea of the conservation attractive profits which I believe he actually later. Renamed the conservation of modules. Which I don't know I can go either way in the name but neither here nor there is this idea that if you have a value chain the company that extracts the most value from that value chain. I'm using the word value. What is the integrated player? So they put like two or three pieces of the value chain together and what happens is the value chain sort of organize itself around that integrated player and it will organize itself naturally into modular pieces. Because you know it's like squeezing a balloon so I think I've used this analogy on this podcast before. Actually but if you have like a long balloon and you squeeze one part. The air's flew out to the other parts

"There's a bunch of guys that you watch early on and you just know. They're going to become a pro whenever they're ready to become a pro and now I think the biggest thing is for these kids like Zaia was in a position unaware everyone knew he had all world talent athletic ability he was a viral sensation. And you're talking about a guy who was thinking about going going back to school for a second year. Because he loved being a kid. He loved the college atmosphere so much. A guaranteed number one. Picking draft was thinking about going back to school so you fast forward Karma is obviously on our team now. We just talked the other day and he told me that he was seriously considering going back to school after he won a national championship circus. And I remember watching the interviews and him him saying you know I would definitely consider coming back especially if we don't WanNa Championship this season. You talk about guys who know they're going to become millionaires no they can play in the NBA but just really love competing. They love being a kid. They love the college atmosphere. I say it all the time I love Oh playing in the NBA. But there's nothing like being collars. There's nothing like being. The big man on campus at a university is different. The exposures different lack of responsibility of not what happened to be a grownup. All those things. That are amazing and I love being NBA player. But there's just nothing like being in college because it only lasts you know for a few years and then it's over and and then you Kinda reminisce on the old time so I think just to your point is these people really just love playing basketball. These kids enjoy it. They WANNA be around their friends. Maybe you're going to have to go to the NBA. Right right away but your friends are that you played a you with that. You grew up with Steph Kinda pushes them and forces them into college and then they enjoy competing against each other and kind of building their brand of basketball before going to the NBA. I hear what you're saying. The the problem is that wise. We didn't get a chance now to build this brand right from that. If you're GONNA argue of like big picture not just the basketball side of things then. The kid loses out because he's not able to build the You know all the endorsement style points and all the things that Zairean doctoral experience for example last year and he didn't even like. Let's say you had a really good year. He plays and Memphis has a great year and he doesn't even get the opportunity now to say. Let me come back when you consider coming back for a second year like so the NCAA is out right. And that's the saddest part that okay so I hear your fan about if you're in that position and obviously I know you're much different and that's one of the reasons why I think fans relates you so wealthy but imagine if you weren't as position you were the number one overall recruit in the country. You go to school and within Aker Three Games you're suspended for basically a third of the season and then right when you're about the comeback you decide you know what. Let me just go pro your entire college. Experience is basically over before it got even even remotely start. Yes I couldn't imagine going through that honestly. I'm sure it was an emotional roller coaster ride being able to play with your teammates and then have taken away for something. You had no control over. Something you didn't even do does is beyond me but it just kinda shows you like the decision making process for a businessman like he's a kid at eighteen nineteen years old but he's becoming coming businessman right before very is understanding the value of himself understanding what he has to offer not only college basketball but to the NBA. A guy got to play three games with his friends and his peers and experienced college a little bit and now I think he just realized that there's no point and playing in college basketball. When you know you're going to be the number one overall pick I think? He went to school with the intention of enjoying trying to win a championship. In I think Memphis would've been in position to do. Just that I think James Wiseman they have a chance to win it all which is probably how he envisioned going to the NBA. But now he has to kind of change change course a little bit and it's sad that he's been forced to do this. And it's something that I can't relate because I can't relate to being the number one overall player in the country coming out of high school I can't relate to knowing that I'm GonNa go WPRO eighteen or nineteen because I just wasn't there yet but I can imagine that he had some help with this decision. I'm sure penny played a role in just kind of let them know that. Look man you're going to be the number one pick do what you have to do. Our respect your decision either way because at the end of the day painting care a lot about these players because he he wants a time was one of us yeah the NCAA me though. It's it's whether or not it was ever say how purpose is if feels like the NCAA purposely thing to Elite players like we don't Oh we don't need you we don't want to. It's like they're almost being the players. Like wise. Almost be penalized for the fact that it is a one and done situation association and I guess the question that would be I want to. This is solved if the if the NBA takes away to one and done and either makes it two years or as we basically expect in the coming years to have to have The ability to go straight out of high school with at six part of this the problem because then see then the NCAA. Maybe doesn't have as much power. I think it could definitely alter instabilities power. I think a lot of kids would gopro out of high school and I think a rule changes looming. I think at some point a rule change is going to be coming to where kids will be able to go pro at a high school and I think that will eliminate some of these situations relations to wear parents or family are accepting money behind the kids back in an ultimately affecting the kids eligibility. But I think that's something that's is going to happen in the future but the instable always have power because they're the only institution in the world to where they just essentially essentially take advantage of your skills your traits in make millions and millions of dollars off of you. I just get so frustrated when the NCAA finds a way to To penalize someone. That really didn't have anything to do with anything. I it really gonNA penalize Memphis it should have been penny or it should have been the school Maybe lose a scholarship or whatever but don't take away a third of the season twelve games from potential number one pick. There's an article in the USA. Today that goes more into detail about basically saying that You know if you're if you're looking at this from thirty thousand feet think about how significant it is for James wise been to say no to March madness And and and you know the rest of the season for building his brand on and off the court so that he can just be in Jim by himself itself working out like that's not that says more about what the kid feels like he Or more about it says more about the NCAA and like its lack of appeal than it does Anything else like that's that's a that's a real problem for for college basketball moving forward. It's a huge problem because besides the experience of being in college the friendships. You'll make you're not. You're not getting your degree in six months. These kids are doing afford four to six months at the university the NCAA tournament starts the plane instability tournament and then they declare for the draft shortly after they leave Squirrelly so it's not like it. You're getting closer to attain your degree. So you know you're not getting your degree in six months and for some of these guys cases all you can do is hurt your stock doc. Like if James Wiseman doesn't play he's not being evaluated. They're basing everything off of what they've already seen. He has no chance of injury. He's already a top three pick and now he's basically securing himself similar to how football players have done in past sitting out the ball game. You know what I'm capable of doing you see my body of work now. I'm going to work on my game. I'M GONNA make sure that I'm not hurt. I'M GONNA come into this season healthy as a rookie and be in position to start training as early as possible so that I can make the transition from prep to pro similar to how a lot of players I've done it. You start training now able to really focus on certain things that'll be beneficial to your transition to the NBA. Maybe shooting maybe CBS strength. Maybe as conditioning. Maybe it's meal planning. Maybe it's just understanding how to be an adult. You start taking courses on media you really start to figure out how to become a professional in all aspects and this becomes your fulltime job as opposed to having to go to class go to practices which are team travel playing collegiate games. You're just out here now. Becoming a professional twenty four seven this is your full time job now but doing that is not as fun right as like planning on national TV and playing March madness. But that's the whole reason to go. Oh to college if you get that experience and be a kid like you said for as long maybe another six months or whatever it is so to say no to that that they think about what that it's not just the short term to long term of how many more you know young players are going to look at what James Wise is doing or Lamelo Bell Lamelo Ball and Arja the answer for that matter and say that's what I wanted. I agree and I think this is something that can be solved and should be solved soon in. I think the the moral of the story is that James Wiseman he made this decision. But I'm sure he had helped and I'm sure the people that helped him make this decision or not happy with the NC Double A.'s. Ruling and as a result. Aw.

"I'm healthy and thriving and we went to games in a row consecutively with another game coming up shortly against the Orlando Magic during our home. Stand along home standing which will play the the Timber Wolves followed by the Utah Jazz on the road the day after Christmas Jordan. I'M JEALOUS YEAR IN HAWAII. He is that correct. That's correct. I was in Miami lacking thank. You knew that change. That was more of a work but Miami Hawaii I feel very guas right now and it's been great. I finally been able to get some Sun. I'm going slowly with the sun and I want to get too much. I was like a like a charge. Pineapple It's been great. I've been able to watch a lot of hoops. That's the best part including another thirty feet from you. Laugh night regulations on that I appreciate it man. We just try and get as many ways as possible back in this playoff race. A couple of weeks ago. I said we're about two weeks away now. Stanford me on what I said and say that we're about ten days away from being back in that you know six to AC range. I think we're like a win or two away away from being agency right now just based on where we're at in in who else is playing Okay See Dallas is up there. Sacramento's up there those few teams that are in that you know seven to nine range. Obviously Dallas is going to go through some lump without Luca Luca but I think that they'll be able to weather the storm and stay firm in that in that playoff race. It's going to be a fun ride. Fifty Plus Games left lock can happen in a lot can change as we've all seen throughout the the years in the NBA everybody's injury away from their season turning upside down. Everybody's a few games in a row drop drop-off games in a row away from sliding just based on how close to Western conference is in has been historically but we have something to talk about outside of the NBA. Right now. The big news today. Big Big big news out of grind that big a city. I'm surprised it took them this long to do it. Honestly and for those who. That aren't aware James. Wiseman has announced that he will leave Memphis higher agent and prepare for the upcoming NBA draft. The was suspended. Twelve games stemming from an investigation in which he basically received compensation to his family without knowing his mother was paid eleven thousand and five hundred dollars in two thousand seventeen before accepting the head. Coaching job does Alma Mater. It makes things interesting because Penny Hardaway's the one that did it making him a booster it's interesting. Because Kim had no idea it was gonna be going to become the head coach at Memphis. He was just kind of looking out for someone who was trying to progress move forward and put themselves in a better position only for themselves but their families. So it's sick that he even had to explain himself and it's even sicker that the NC Double A.. Decided to punish this the kid who had no idea his family was receiving compensation for the move and the move just helped put him in a position to receive more exposure to be in a better area Korea and to potentially get ready for the NBA draft. which is what he ultimately has to do? Now Jordan. Are you surprised that it took this long for him to declare for the draft and hire an agent. You know what I'm actually not. Because I was like if he was going to decide that he didn't need college and then he just wanted to prepare era for professional basketball specifically in the NBA. Then I think you know. We would've seen him go the route of Lamelo or arts of Hampton who we obviously have. I've had to go overseas in place. Something that Brandon Jennings did a lot of guys. You know Terrance Ferguson. Where they felt like Let me go be a pro somewhere else. So with that had in mind for him to be suspended twelve games which I thought was behalf as you know for him to then wait to this point. I guess it is a little surprising. But it's it's more surprising to me that He was positioned in the first place. Because I thought he would have like the fact that he filed an injunction to me me and basically challenged the NCAA and he felt like okay. I'm GONNA stay and I'M GONNA try to make this make this right in and take Memphis to the NCAA tournament and you know really really make a name for myself from a national perspective in March so I think it's more surprising to me that he found himself in college. And then ultimately File deduction and then and then decided that you know last minute that he didn't need a college basketball anymore I I. I'm really excited. I just for him though because I feel like now he can really do. What a lot of guys In addition would like to do which is just focused on basketball and not not really worry about school. The I think it's terrible honestly. I'm not surprised that he's decided to go to the NBA. I think that what's more surprising in is that he tried to go to college. He tried to do the right thing. He wanted to be a kid for a little bit longer as you said before. He's obviously good enough to go. Overseas to take the RJ Hampton to take the Lamelo ball route and basically give up a chance to play in college. A chance to get alternate become professional right away. I think it shows you what type of character he has but the end of the day you have to do. What's best for you? Obviously he's all world talent. He's going go to the NBA. It's it's essentially a guarantee it's just a matter of the first bigger the second pick at this point so why waste your time not being able to play in Games Games. You know this is this is causing him to not be seen by. Scouts is causing him to not be able to be tiptop shape. Why not just go train now because you're going to become professional anyway anyway? I think it's the it's I think it's the right decision for him to make. I think that if he would have known that he was going to be suspended. Coming into this year he probably would have went overseas. He's or sat out the year like dairies. Bazeley did for the Oklahoma City Thunder. So it's it's very unfortunate as we both have stated and I just hope that the NCW learns from this understanding that they're going to lose a lot of players going forward if they continue to punish kids in this manner. Because there's no point in going to college. If you have to sit out I I. Yeah and I'll I would argue that This this reflects way more poorly on the NCAA. Then thousand wise men or even University of Memphis for or penny for that matter because who loses out now the kid. The kid loses out to a degree but estalbish Li like as college basketball fans. We're the ones that lose out the NCAA lose out. Because you're you're now taking away one of the premier players in the country from from one of the one of the premier teams team that a lot of people thought could be a final four club and this is not to say that like the most important thing for for wise in wants. Let's go to a final four and have a great march but we've seen it help. We've seen great college. Seasons with great pressman Have have you know big impacts on their careers whether it was calling any towns or Anthony Davis You know I just thinking about Kentucky Guys Williamson last year like the. NCAA was his face for then and but now the NCAA is losing wise but he barely played at all like you said he tried to do the right thing. You're she tried to go to school and It's it's itself is for me to sit to say this but I'm I'm just jealous that we're not GONNA or I'm envious of of the. We're not going to be able to get to see him anymore. I think it's really sad. I and It's not gonNA hurt his draft stuff like he's GonNa be number one and number two but it is GonNa hurt the NCAA and It's it's ironic that the is the one that put the suspension out there. But they're the ones that are gonNA penalize more right and I'm just happy. I got a chance chance to see him play here in Oregon not too long ago on the Nike Hoop Summit. That gave me a chance to be able to watch a lot of future pros historically throughout the last seven years. I've been able to watch a lot of guys who ended up being drafted and potentially go one indoor come straight to the NBA from from abroad. But we're lucky we live in an era renou. We're social media so prevalent and these scouts have so much access to these high school kids before they eventually go to the to the collegiate level table to see them at a youth tournament but awash practices. They're able to see them. Atalanta these Nike Adidas grassroots events to wear in years past and maybe a decade or two decades two decades ago. This would have really hurt this kid. But now he's already been seen. He has agreed on scout dot com. ESPN has the rankings kings. They have a great breakdown and understanding of the type of impact that he's going to be able to have at the NBA level. You're talking about a seven foot one sinner who skilled. He can run the floor. He can you make jump shots out to fifteen feet. He has touch around the basket and he still growing still learning still becoming more of a man in his own right yeah I was talking to own. NBA Executive about the decision of of Of leaving and not going back to school with the plane and he said it doesn't really affect wise men in the sense of like his game in more effects if anything the image of does he really love the game competitor You you know if you fire enough like basically always question marks of of any of Alati young players but specifically you know someone like wise men who we really really like as fans If we're going to find something to critique is GonNa be well because he's so talented. It's very easy as it back and say did he really go one hundred percent on that for that rebound or did he want that fifty fifty ball. Did he run the floor. Like these are the same. A lot of question marks. That'd be best about other really good players. There's that have become great players like when When when Colin Karl Anthony towns coming out people were wondering is physically tough enough and and we've obviously seen ought to be You know completely ridiculous but these are the question marks as you can find for kids because because we this is the way we we we view player I see and I would actually argue that One more note is that I don't college basketball in the NCAA. Like I don't think they understand Dan their place in the ecosystem of of of the entire process like all its basketball is supposed to. It'd be a launching point careers and right now if you think about some of the elite players in the country they're either hurt or they're on bad teams you know freshmen. In a wiseman leave only pennies. Now her The Kenner George. Anthony Edwards is similar to Ben Simmons situation where he might not make the tournament. Like what's the upside for these guys to play and get nipped possibly could hurt. There's a lot of side besides the fact that these kids just really enjoy joy playing in college. I think that's the biggest thing a lot of them already know. They're going to become pros at some point. They've known it since the days when shoo sponsors and you know the Nikes the Adidas are all inviting them to various camps and clinics. And they're being rated on all these all these websites and the projections of the mock drafts on draft dot on ninety. SPN or coming down so these kids have a pretty good understanding of where they're likely to be drafted. Anthony Edwards is another guy. WHO's in the in the Ryan to be the number one pick in a draft? I've watched tinplate on TV. He's a pro. He could've come out of high school and been appro right away. That's the type of skills said that he has the understanding of how to create space. He just he's his NBA player. When I watch certain guys can just Kinda tell like this kid who's GonNa play in the NBA data? Same thing I said about Jamal. Murray when I watched him play when he was younger I seen the same thing in the Fox..

"And family people who care about you truly do love you. It's easier to overcome it, but it's still hard. So I mean it's that those fans did that and I don't want to categorize all Toronto fans because I've had some great interactions with right, right? With fans in Toronto. So it's not all of them. It's just a, a few bad bunches that did some things they shouldn't have done so it's, it's, but right. No. But that's, but that's exactly right. So what I would say to your point about like bro bots. It's it sounds funny. But it's not like so this is why. Got so upset on social media, and I think people respond a lot of people I seem like we're in agreement. But some people are like, you know how dare you categorize rafters fans. I wasn't trying and I'm not trying to categorize rappers fans because I'm sure most of them didn't feel like that. But the at the end of the day, you know, it's like, I, I understand that these are multimillion dollar athletes, and the stages is could not be bigger. But you're talking about human beings. And in the case of Kevin Durant someone that is set to become a free agent, V free agent this summer, and it's just it's just so unnecessary, if it's not what basketball is about. It's not what sports is about winning is one thing. But like you said winning the right way, how do fans, I guess how do fans take take their love for their team too far and given that you wanna have passionate fans, what is the line for me? It's that right there. It's, it's not. Not wanting somebody to get injured not cheering for someone to get injured and waving them off the floor, especially with Killys of all injuries. But what is the line for you? I think wanting your team to win is okay. I think talking about other players in an appropriate. Manner is okay, just the of seeing gestures. The disrespected people about their family members take an personal name calling things that you wouldn't do if we're walking on the street. I. Right. Okay. That's, that's what's not. Okay. If you would click me off in the middle of the street in Intel me go f- myself, or throw beer on me. Or try to push me or yell things that my family members. If you wouldn't do that on the street don't do it while I'm playing. That's all and especially with someone gets hers is disrespectful, because we put so much into this game once your team to win cheer. You can even yell things but just don't be disrespectful to the point of no. Oh, return because we are human beings, and these hands works. So if there's really a problem, and, and we see someone in the street, the, the attitude in the way they look at us, their energy completely changes. No, they do work. I I'm well aware, I want you to put yourself before we wrap on the Chinese Pol Pot edition. Number one, I wanna play. I want you to put yourself in your in, in Kevin Durant position. Game game five NBA finals, given the stakes given the injury that he's coming back from. If you're medically cleared the coaches say, it's okay, it's your decision..

"The players that they care as much as they do because they know how great a player he is in the kind of person he is. And I and I think it's going to have a galvanizing effect on the warriors. In fact, I thought after he got hurt when Rafter's fans and I'm sure you saw this. They were cheering it was a terrible sight. I thought it galvanized the warriors in that game. And I wonder how much they can come together now moving forward knowing that. Now they really are playing for Kevin. Yeah. I mean there's there's no room for that type of behavior in our game. And obviously, you want your team to win but to cheer on someone who's going through a brutal injury who. Is arguably wanted to best players ever played a game arguably the best player in the game right now to to cheer at him. You know as he suffers from the court in. Is just despicable. And I think that the. The majority of rappers fans are thrown into that bunch. And I think that there are some great passionate fans who are respectful. I think a few people can really. You know, tamper with in dilute agree fan base. So as that was just I was terrible. But I think I think the warriors definitely took took that disrespect as they should that. Motivate them, even more. You look you look at the game and how it played out in. I was actually working out during the game. So I was getting updates, you know in between sets like when I was shooting free throws encounter arrests in to see that they were down, you know six late in the game. They rally back just kinda shows you their mentality how they're never had a game as I said before, but also what happens when you really motivate a champion, you never want to motivate a champion in, you know, piss them off. So when they got down six like, okay, I picked the warriors before the series I picked him when they were down. Three one. I said they were gonna win game five. I still think, and I know I'm getting killed on this. I still think they're gonna win the series so that being said, I think they found something. With pick and roll, because Seve doesn't run a lot of pick and roll. And yet, the warriors are the second best team terms of efficiency are when they run it this season. And when you give Steph, the kind of room that they gave him spread picking role allowing him to basically dream on even Klay to come set a slip a slip screen way, way out like thirty five forty feet by the half court line. It allows Steph to have that much more room. And obviously, it's a lot easier to run it when Kevin Durant on the floor because he's he can help space the floor, or you can just handle the ball of self, but I thought Golden State found something there and then when Colli was hounding, we Koiwa sounding clay, then like on that last play when when he ended up in three than Dray just found him or dre would set a screen that maybe wasn't necessarily call which is to read he would make. They were finding basically by spreading Toronto out. They were finding a little bit more. I don't know if that's sustainable for forty eight minutes. Without katie. I think a lot of it will be predicated on, if Quinn cook could make shots if the markets can make shots..

"It's, it's not their national sport per se. But do you feel like it's bigger than it is in the US in some ways, I feel like they definitely enjoy the game, more and certain parts of the country because they're not earth parts of the province because they're not as exposed to it as we are terms of seeing MBA players being around him be a players. The dedication to have to, you know, watch games at six seven AM sometimes four AM, depending on, if it's Pacific time, eastern time just kinda shows you how dedicated they truly truly are. So I know you're enjoying your time and you're trying to take it all in. Is it safe to say that despite basketball, not being China's national sport per se that, that in some places in China basketball is, is more prevalent than even the US? I think in some places it's definitely closely. More prevalent, because the fact that we're so far removed from Asia, you know, a lot of players. Don't come here. Now, more players are starting to come to Asia. More players are starting to take towards interact with fans and realizing how many dedicated loyal fans there are here as well. I always like to say they're more basketball fans in China than there are people in the United States, just because of the population that how big it is. And the game is such a growing sport. They're always trying to figure out ways to evolve figuring out ways to interact and engage with us as players in. I think that they're dedicated shows in the time zone difference in how late they have to stay up to watch games. You know, six AM five AM depending on if it's Pacific time. And especially for those Christmas games in, you know, noon to eastern, those are those are different times based on the time zone obviously, it's well hours from from the east coast, fifteen from the west, and it just kinda shows you how much they really true. Value in love game. But obviously, you know, the fancy in the United States in, in Canada are, are huge as well. See it's interesting because we've seen Asia, become such a massive market for the league and for basketball as a whole specifically in China and Japan. But which given the population, have you had like the craze of people coming up to you, because I've been noticing, you know, on your on your Instagram posts, it seems like you're going to these events. And there are thousands of people waiting just to see you has that been the norm in, in previous trips. And what have you noticed differently on this trip? There have definitely been a lot more fans than I've been accustomed to on my trip in China last year fans repacking out the malls. They were packing out the stores. But I think the, the level of love and appreciation and support them. Getting this year's is greater, I think that's part, two parts first part is that we had a deeper playoff run. So they were able to be exposed to our team be more. Supposed to my game. How I play and and how I've impacted the NBA the second part is being with the Chinese brand in leaning for two years. Now they've been able to promote me throughout China. They've been able to push you know, my story and income explain you know what type of player I am type of person..

"Take some time to chat, Katie. I'm sorry to see something like that happened to such a good person, a guy who really truly loves the game him performance so Nagoya down with an injury is just very unfortunate things like that shouldn't happen to good people. But it's part of our game to cheer on someone who's going through a brutal injury. Who is arguably the best player in the game right now to to cheer at him as he suffers on the court as just despicable. I think the warriors definitely took that disrespect as they should. And then motivated me even more to see that. They were down late in the game. They rallied back just kinda shows you the mentality and how they're never had a game said before, but also what happens when you really motivate a champion. Welcome to the Scott shields, episode of pull up. That's right. Episode number sixty two I'm currently in Beijing China have started the CJ McCollum leaning towards is my second year touring China. We've hit five cities already still a lot more cities to explore to interact with fans in and looking forward to, to continue to build the brand and be exposed to different culture, different foods. It's been a lot of fun. It's been exhausting. Working out six seven AM and then torn on day. But as I like to say this life, I chose and I'm glad I chose him without further. Do one. Welcome Jordan Scholtz to pull a pod, as always Jordan, how's life, back in the states. I know you said, you're opening up some Pino in my honor. I do. Appreciate that actually had a lotta Pino last night. And it helped me sleep really well, well life in the states is is really good. Just getting ready for the draft. And making sure that. You know, I'm all prepared and trying to get as much news as possible, and I must say that you, you say that this is the life you chose. But if I would have said to young CJ McCollum, he's gonna play in the NBA that's one thing but to be traveling across the world in China for three weeks on a on a on a tour is a whole nother deal. How do you how do you feel like are you enjoying this? I know it's work, but are you able to enjoy the moment and be around such I mean obviously incredible fans. Yeah, I definitely enjoy it. It's been a lot of fun. It is still work because I have to go from city to city, I have to interact with fans Dumol appearances photo shoots interviews things of that nature. But I definitely feel like it's also fun because you get to explore so many different countries. You get to see so many different things, and obviously basketball allows you to do a lot of things you wouldn't normally be able to do. So this led chose me and I chose. Life and I'm thankful for it. And still try to put put my time in gym in the way room and really take advantage of my time and my resources. But I also try to sit back in really enjoy. What's happening ano-?.

"I'm comfortable with it being on my shoulders because I failed before. So I know what it's like, and I can handle it and I'm comfortable with having success because I've done that before as well. So I can be humble regardless of the circumstances situations in failures important. But only when you are able to learn from it and. Then use that as you know, a platform to get better. Yeah. Absolutely. I think I think failure is huge. Because nor is succeed. You you have to learn how to deal with failure. You have to be able to overcome failure. You have to be comfortable with with not having things. Go your way because then this like in the mindset is that okay? I've been through this before I know the feeling of it. I know what it's like, I know how it makes me feel and I know that I can overcome it. You know, it's similar to football player doing doing up and downs or get ups, or whatever you call your jogging in place, then you hit the ground, and you push yourself back up, and you continue to run, and it's just in my sentimentality teach yourself that you might fall down. But you have to figure out ways to get back up immediately and not just lay down and kinda crumble and the same thing goes for your mindset mentality in life. Everything's not going to be smooth sailing. It's a it's a marathon as he also would say it's literally about being able to just get through that lap. Any means. Necessarily, you might not get through each lap at the same time with the same intensity in the same type of happiness, but just being able to finish that lap is what's really important. I think Kyle guy in Virginia has been able to overcome so much versity. And and now are realizing that all that pain and suffering. They went through was worth it. Because now they know what it's like to to be the laughing stock, and they know what it's like to be, you know, the chosen wants to win a championship. What's harder CJ learning? How to deal with failure or success? A man I think the failure is is hard to deal with because it can deter you from even having that success. It can make you doubt yourself. It can make you question, you know, whether or not you're meant to be successful in whatever it is. You're failing it can make you question. Whether or not you want to continue to pursue whatever career field. You're and you hear about guys all the time talking about how they almost quit Jimmy Butler almost dropped outta Marquette. You know, he was homesick. He was all these things. He was ready to go. Back home. I almost quit playing basketball because I was struggling I was questioning myself. I had doubts. I was maybe maybe I should continue to focus more on my education. You go through injuries. You go those trials and tribulations in your mind. We're literally tell you that maybe this isn't for you. When you're having success. Everything is great in everybody wants to be around you. You know, you're happy. You know, you're you're able to accomplish, you know, some of the goals in checkless, you may have had so dealing with that, you know, it takes it takes you know, being able to be humble being able to be confident comfortable, but realizing that you were fortunate enough to be in that position. But I think there's nothing like struggling because it just it builds a different type of character in a different type of appreciation understanding of where your life in which you have and to be able to overcome struggles. In succeed. I think that you really appreciate the success that much more. And that's kind of how my life has been I've struggled and then I've had success. We struggled as a team. And then we've had success. I've struggled as an individual. That I've had success. I've struggled academically, and then I made a dangerous. So I think you you appreciate the success that much more when you have to really work in earn it. Yeah. Yeah. Speaking of failure. You know, Magic Johnson stepped down as president of the Lakers. It's a prize a lot of people. He's he said creates heck way. Yeah..

"I one hundred percent with step over somebody, especially by Donna. I think that it's only right. You dunk on somebody. What happens after that? You have to let your emotions take over. But I think he he woke up an animal. No Yarmuth went on to get with thirty six. Yeah. That night rebounds, right, which is a pretty standard night for Janas. Anyway. But I think that you need to be at a certain level when you're doing those types of things to also Kabir players, right? But hey, when you Doug on somebody, you don't know, what type of emotions are are really going through your head. And what you're feeling. Well, it's no there's a lot of excitement. Yeah. And if you go back and watch it it's sick. Don. But the honest was coming from behind. It was almost a situation where because Janas hustled back into the frame. So as much as he did that's why he got victimize. I'm not taking anything away from his own. Yeah. It was a nice. It was a sick dunk. But I mean, the honest is one of the best players in the world. And he woke up a bear Jaanus was not happy about it. And I guess for you to take it a step further. Would would would the person you dunk Dover? Be with that matter if you're going to do a step over, you know, what I mean, if it was a an all star player or like, a rookie that nobody know does any of that matter if I'm done don't dream on for sure step over him because it would be hilarious disease reaction. I love that. Like if somebody, you know, and it's like a good defender like really f- letting and you dunk on right? Of course, dependent relationship you have with them. I think it's even more bragging rights if you step over him because you know, and it's funnier while as opposed to Dunkin on like a five nine five Tanguy, but you dump out like a footer then I think it's just it's even funnier. 'cause they're gonna be trying to get up as soon as possible. And if you don't go home and knock them down on man. That's even better. I guess that's what zone you did. And and all you know, to be totally fair. The you know, he did dunk on a foot or like I said it wasn't it wasn't. It wasn't a straight on those angle. It was kind of like an angle though, it wasn't straight on. But if you like if you had if CJ how to like, let's say you dry baseline, you know, go bear Capella, come weakside block, and you bang out. And they fall it's a no brainer. Then you're saying, yeah, I'm stepping over them. And I'm doing the Baron Davis. Untucked, my dreams for sure. But one over Utah on the playoffs as an eight seed exactly that's the one that's the one. I would bring out for sure I love the Shammgod. We talked about the sham God. And how I mean. It's such a sick move. Right. But if you dumped on a footer or let's just say anybody and you stepped over him like, hey, I and you did the B ditty. I would legitimately send you a case of wine, and I mean, legit real wine, like high end cab, Pino, whatever you want because that's special that would be well noted. I will our remember this. And even if I got it. Let's not get out of hand though. Yeah. Won't get out of hand hand. Crazy at all. Have we addressed the fact that I'm currently sitting next to a massive stain in my in my room. Then trying to fix it. Maybe that's what I'll do for Christmas. At this point the things not coming out for all those who don't know CJ ruined my couch during the NBA playoffs last year with a massive glob of butter parmesan waste way. Let's clarify Hoste. Didn't get on the on the grease from the bag that got on the I didn't just spill a glob of pasta degrees Bank..

"Thousands of dollars on a car. Again. There's more sound investments out there. Real estate's booming right now, there's a lot of things you could be doing with your money as opposed to plan on cards. But I think it's up to the vet the, oh, jeez. Teams to to really steer Jiang guys in the right direction. Because a lot of times you come out. And you got nineteen twenty roads. I would never let one of our nineteen year olds go to that table. I'll tell him don't sit. Right. That's what I'm saying. If you if you if you're going to sit at that table, you better be washing. You better be the one keeping track of books for everybody because that's not the life. You want? You wanna live early on your career because one you. Probably don't know how to play to you. Don't have the money was people at the table have because you're young in your career. You're on a rookie deal. You're still figuring things out in three they gonna take your money does this competitive game. And they go take advantage of you, not knowing you know, all the proper rules. So right, always used to tell them the young guys don't sit at the table. I never said I take all cow watch from I didn't even want to learn I didn't even wanna learn how to play I love that. Because I know that another competitor. I'll probably sit down, and and when you go in the east or west coast flight, that's a lot of games as a lot of games will be played. Oh, man. I I hear you saying because it's like as you get better at it, you play more which in turn probably means you lose more. Right. Exactly. So, you know, it's a it's a gift in occurs because it does it does promote camaraderie because you start to have relationships with players. He started to really hang around guys in and you really get to know each other kind of see people's intellect. But then it also can't create when you get up into hundreds of thousands. I've never seen that that has. Happen on planes. I've been involved in. Okay. At least I've never heard any rumors of that. That's OD. I think that guy's teamer far too cheap together that much. Gotcha. And it's a compliment when I term sheep. I mean, just physically smart in a way that they went. They wouldn't take those types of risk. Well, I mean, I maybe you'll disagree with me. I didn't think it was super smart for Mario zone to do the step or. Tennakoon boat. Mario zone. Yeah. Croatian guy lottery pick drafted ahead of as you just said Devon Booker hasn't exactly had a great start to his career is trying to have this rebirth in New York. Nevertheless, I think he got a little too confident CJ, you grew up idolizing AI, would you ever pull a step over at the time was right? And what did you think of his own use?.

"Some of the things I've heard play. Some of the things I've said to a referee compared to Serena said it's not even close. Just looking at other male tennis players, how they talked the referees, how they slam rackets, how it's perceived when they take their shirt off versus how a woman does it and she gets points. I, I think it's all sex, and I think this is the first time I've seen teammates openly speak out of another guy's contract situation. Literally comment on his pockets that's golden. I think for them to criticize him, a guy who's trying to do what's best for him fit for himself and his family, you have to support that shelter. The Cleveland Browns credible atmosphere. First game of the year. It was a roller coaster. Ride of emotion. Defense was great. Myles Garrett looked also things that war was great year. We turn his franchise around. Welcome to the Kobe Bryant edition of pull up. That's right. Number twenty four. I'm currently in west linn Oregon back out of the crib for a few days of working out or should I say a few weeks until training camp feels good to be back at the house? A lot of boxes and a lot of packages we just passed up are we just had our first football Sunday in the books. I was at the Cleveland Browns game. It was super, super dope experience. Jordan's been hating on me about the says. It's very Brown's, like of us. So without further do we have to welcome Jordan on as always discuss this Browns game fives must mytalk mytalk with the team. Actually, it didn't talk to the team. I loved how you were parading around the stadium, like you're a flanker receiver. I mean your your passion for that team is is remarkable. However, as our producer Matt pointed out before the segment, if you just watched the CJ McCollum Instagram, not only would you thought the Browns won, you would've thought they won by thirty. So it will point. I mean, 'cause it was. It was a crazy game. There are a ton of turnovers and then they had a misfield goal late. So it will point. Did you realize that this thing was actually going to be close and and then a point, I guess, did you realize that that you come to the realization that you know you're not gonna win? You're not gonna lose. It's a tie like what? What was your feeling on that? Because to me, that's almost more disappointing, but I, I don't know. Yeah, honestly, first of all, show to the Cleveland Browns shout the juice Josh on under squad, man. I appreciate the Browns hospitality allow me to come on the field Jumbotron action. On the social media, you Salata love in general, and I'm a loyal fan, true fan bene- fan for a long time. So this is no bandwagon talk. I've been. I've been here just want to start off by saying that the vibes were incredible. It was incredible atmosphere. First game of the year little bit rainy. Walked about a mile is a lot of stories I can tell from behind the scenes that I'll share later, but long story short got the Dabbagh juice before to gain talked to him. I told him handle his business and we, we shared a conversation in Miami during my friends Bassa party. I told him, I got his number and everything. I said, this is our year bro. This year we turn his franchise around. I say, we like I was playing because that's how I feel about my Browns, and I told him I was going to be there opening night. I said, if I don't have workout into like that, I'll be there opening night. I'm bringing home. I'll be in the field pre-game. I told him. I said, my word is everything. My word is bomb here on the show. He sent him a bless him. He did just that he blessed him bless them over one hundred yards. I think he has six, seven catches you. Look great out there. I was on social media, heavy man. I was excited. I have my my dad, my brother with me all my home needs from a home..

"Appreciate andre drummond coming on as cj said rising star in the league cj with houston and golden state this obviously was a series a lot of people thought would come in for wishing what did you take away from game one if you're houston if anything that you can take solace in and say we can do this better or if we do this differently we have a chance i think one of the things they did was they attacked what they what they seen as perceived mismatches and they put steph curry and a lot of pick and rolls you know trying to make him work and figuring out how healthy he is right now obviously he's recovering from injury so it just kind of tested is lateral quickness in just trying to make him as tired as possible because he's such a threat offensively and able to kind of sway game i think they tried to get certain people out of the they try to stay away from pick and rolls with your mind dream on stayed away from pick and rolls with clay and say the way from pick roles okay d because those are like size matchups were they're able to guard essentially one through five so i think they were success at that but now they have to figure out ways to still get production from other guys while playing you know one on one basketball which is what they've done all season you know fight insert matchups i think james was very successful in scoring and distributing but he had a few turnovers down the stretch to game the kind of swayed the momentum and then obviously the fact that the words were able to get fifty one percent of their shots you know open or wide open which means there's no one within sixty nine feet wide open and no one within four to six feet for open and i think you can't beat a warriors team when you're allowing them to shoot wide open shots you have to make it as difficult as possible which is tough but i think going forward they'll be a lot more locked in and communicate better in some of those switches a lot of those likes screens they didn't switch properly and they left nick young open they left klay thompson wide open to where he was able to take a set dribble as if he was in warmups.
