"Tuesday at city national arena. But dave when you saw this kind of coming across your twitter feed just what was your initial. Take initial reaction. Will i have good online or for getting some like cell phone reception our however he was able to send off those tweets of from montana. 'cause i know when i was lucky enough to go up there there was not very Not very strong Why so good on him. I guess for getting out there in all seriousness. Though i think my my initial reaction in i'm gonna i'm gonna be real truthful about this. My reaction was why. Why are you thrust in yourself into this conversation. Why are you getting involved. Why are you causing a firestorm. You know a week before the season little more than and like it's it's got nothing to do with him other than like you know eiko and then and then here's another thing too is like there're all these rumors and stuff that at one point. The golden knights might be interested in jack. Nicholson tampering. you know like there's so many things to this where i was just like. Why are you doing this to yourself. Why are you bringing you know the thunder into your living room. The way that he's doing. And then i heard him talk and i heard what he had to say why he felt the need to speak out. And you know. I i changed sort of my tune on a little bit Get it much more. I get where he's coming from any feels lake. If nobody else is going to do this. Okay fine. I'm going to be the one and i agree with alex Because i'm the same way. I admire anybody that has the you know what's to stand up and speak out on something on anything. I don't care what side they come from. I have admiration for people that are willing to do that. And are willing to be the lighting rod in be the one to take up the costs. I don't know what what started other than he read an article clearly in that morning about about jack eichel and the surgery in the situation and as he articulated. I think a little bit in the press conference in. You're there ben. So maybe you can speak this a little bit better than i can. It's about the mental health aspect with rob winter in jack. Eichel here that that sounds like jack. Eichel is just getting to a point where he's miserable and needs a resolution in it's affecting his mental health and win something like that happens. Robin leonard is going to step in and speak up in. Speak out in if it takes him making a threat to the nhl nhl pa. That he's gonna start dropping stories and the first story that he's you know drops was the pills. And if he falls that up with elaine vino and decides that office just because here's the thing with that that's been for whatever reason sort of this lingering thing deadspin had a link to This their story occurred them..

"You know, on the offensive and, more likely that the timing figuring out linemates and a couple of different players, young guys Cody Glass, we expect to have a prominent role. He's Was injured last year, so did not get to play a full season. Maybe Peyton Krebs Ah young prospect. Maybe he cracks the lineup, so those guys air acclimating to the NHL. Meanwhile, the Golden Knights to goaltending is extremely veteran Fleurian letter. Sure, on defense, they only got better with the acquisition of Alex. Betray. Angelo was one of the top five defenseman in hockey so Uh, it remains to be seen with regard to your question. But I think what the golden knights you you'd probably, um see the sea the offense, try toe. You know, struggle a little bit and then click and gear, but at the same time they started the offense in the return to play the round Robin. They started off really hot. They were scoring over four goals per game in the round robin and into the first round of the playoffs, and the offense then sputtered at the end. They got knocked out by Dallas because they couldn't score at the end and very low scoring games. So who knows? Yeah. How weird. Is it going to be for you professionally to be broadcasting these games? Right there A T mobile arena with no fans like opening night right on. I mean, how weird is this going to be for you? Because I'm thinking just from a media perspective. I'm going to some of these games and you know, I went to some of the Raiders games without without any fans, and that was were enough but in NHL hockey game And and a quality team, of course in the Vegas Golden Knights, with zero fans in attendance. Yeah, Unfortunately, I've been to some venues around hockey, whether in the NHL, or even in the minor leagues, where the Crown's haven't been great on. I don't need to name them. You're you can figure out which places don't stop particularly well. But that, of course, is not the case in Vegas. It's been standing room only for every game since the very first preseason contest. So we'll be particularly dramatic to go into that building without fans and to see hockey game. The other part of it is the Golden Knights never practiced AT T Mobile Arena with a couple of exceptions over the years. They have on Lee practiced at City National Arena. So we've Only seen the golden nights on the ice A T Mobile without any fans Forget ganged, even for practice just a couple of times. So it's gonna be bizarre to try to do the play by play without the normal energy of the fortress, and the biggest faithful will be strange, but we'll do our best. You know, it's because when I When I hear your call on the radio, you know the night scoring a goal. It's It's great to hear your call, then hear the fans screaming in the background. You know the ambiance sound. You know, and we're not going to hear that now, So that's that's certainly going to be strange. If you're just joining us for speaking with the voice of the Vegas Golden Knights, he is Dan do that The Vegas Golden Knights season, of course, starts on the 14th. Alright, so let's talk about these divisions. These coronavirus divisions as I like to call them and then let's talk, But let's start up. The schedule is just so bizarre, Dan right now listen the night start off by playing the Ducks twice in in in a couple days in three days, so that's not abnormal. We've seen that in a regular season before. But then they move on to the Coyotes and the play the Coyotes four games in a row. I mean, this is unprecedented. Playing a team four games in a row is odd, Is it not? Yes, under them the playoffs. It's not happened for the Golden Knight. That's for sure. And it will happen twice this 56 game regular season. Where the Golden Knights will play the same team four consecutive times. And that's as you mentioned with Arizona and then later in the year Colorado and the entire schedule is Kind of like baseball With these many Syriza's two games against the Ducks than two home games against the Coyotes than two road games against the Coyote said it's 2 to 2 and occasionally as I mentioned, you have back to back so it ends up being four. That is As I said, kind of like baseball. We're playing three games seriously. It's also somewhat women isn't of minor league hockey where teams typically do not travel on airplanes, So if you're going far away like, say, they're ST John's Newfoundland. Is it a few times? You know you're not gonna go all that way to just play one game? We're gonna play, too, so there's somewhat familiarity there. But this is different cause you're only playing seven teams were always going to play the same team at least twice in a row. So you wonder like in the playoffs, Erie's You know if you lose it like it's hard to sweep a playoff series right? Like I don't see too many sweeps because it's so balancing. You figure it out game to game the strategy. So I wonder how many of these Syriza are gonna be split? How many sweeps and they're gonna point? That's a good point playing the same team twice or sometimes for so that, so there are all kinds of them that goalie situation. It's like a Pitchers in baseball. You started writing today you bring in the lefty the next day, you know, if you change up the lineup for the opponent, you force their strategy. So do you start the goalie twice in a row. He's hot in the first game, or do you go to the other guy just to change things up, and the Golden Knights can do that, because they've got two. Fantastic always, and most teams don't have that one. That's got all kinds of different considerations this year with the schedule that's a good point you make, and I would also add that things might get a little more chippy. I would think by the time you reach that third or fourth game in a row, and maybe there were a few cheap shots Late in the third period in the prior game. I would think that players are not going to forget about that. And I would say by that third or fourth game I could be wrong, But by the third or fourth Coyotes game things, they're going to get a bit chippy, and that's you know, the competitive spirit of the NHL the physicality of the game. You know, more than anybody. Those things were gonna happen, but I think it's going to be escalated. Maybe times. Two. By the time you play that third or fourth game in the span of six or seven days, would you agree with them? Times two is almost exactly right, because in the regular season, let's just take the nights and the sharks. You'd play four times when they have the nights in charge. You're gonna play eight times four times two is a prime, right? Exactly gonna, And then if you have a playoff series that could be a many is another seven games. So you're talking about The potential of 15 games between the nights in another opponent on DATs again, that's a more of a minor league type of schedule where division rivals are gonna play 10 or 12 times in the H L. That is not the case. We talked about libel lease. You're one of the Golden Knights Kings. Coyotes Sharks Avalanche, But the thing was, it was gonna take a playoff series to get a real rivalry going. That happened with the Kings on then, with the shark Certain nights, first two postseason opponents that year and on and on and on shark stand the following year, too, But this year those rivalries are gonna you know the match will be lit from the get go with all these games. In quick succession and because you're not playing most of the league, you're only playing your division, which is seven opponents eight times, seven times..

"What is a hockey fans. This is the golden edge. Podcast the podcast. Where the las vegas review journal talks about hockey and a lot of other stuff surrounding the game. I am ben. Goat's your las vegas review journal. Golden knights beat writers. Joining me on the other. Line is my colleague. Dave shane dave. How's it going. How's your pre thanksgiving week going so far awesome. I had the best birthday present ever. My dyno's took down the korean baseball title swell daddy in me. Been out partying. I i started with them at the start of the season i rode with them all summer. All the way to the end here so go dyno's respect to you for the consistency. Because i one thousand percent fell off the k b o of course initially being very locked in to my lg twins. Because of course. I from minnesota. So there's just synergy there so i respect the fact that you're dedicated enough to carry it on all the way to november partying to celebrate the see that trophy. It's like a giant sword like x. Or something it's great man. That is incredible. I think it should give the nhl some pause when they described the stanley cup as the greatest trophy in sports. Because you cannot impale someone last. I checked with the stanley cup. But of course we're not going about and there's no written on it either true. We're not going to discuss our favorite weapons slash trophies on today's podcast. We are going to discuss some of the Interesting interviews dave. And i have done over the past few weeks that you can check out on. Were you drill dot com. I think they're pretty good story that we've managed to put together and of course we will be discussing the news that came out late last night. That four golden knights players have tested positive for covid nineteen four. He gets all that. I wanna remind everyone that the golden age podcast is presented by indeed pepsi in favor. Shot drink a favor dot com. Please check out all written work at the rj. And of course if you could rate review subscribe whatever you podcast. Due to this one it would be a very much appreciated. So like i said just then. We got the news late last night. I think around like eight thirty right after monday night. Football head wrapped up for me that the golden knights had had four players that were not identified test positive for covid nineteen. The nights at all of those players are self isolating and so far recovering. Well as a result the team has closed off see national arena to players basically through the weekend Which makes sense. They obviously have to probably run additional tests. Make sure that Four players is where of the spread stopped. The nights you know have been allowed along with other. Nhl teams can get together informally for workouts as. They're kind of awaiting word as to win the twenty. Twenty twenty one. Nhl season will officially start. Or it'll just be the twenty twenty one. Nhl season but obviously this was not good news for an organization that managed to kind of avoid the viruses. Best one could leading up to training camp in july when they're getting ready for the return to play and then of course in the bubble no-one tested positive so the knights had a very good track record. And obviously it's kind of tough that as they're potentially gearing up for next season that they hit the speed bump. Yeah i mean you hope everybody's okay to begin with. I mean that's the first thing is you know. Just how it's affecting everybody and you hope it's you know folks are asymptomatic or minor. Whatever i mean obviously like it's out it was public mean. Even you know of affected me in sort of a weird sort of way. I mean like bill fully tested positive for for covid nineteen. So it's been around. I guess you could say the team and sort of indirect way I mean you look around other sports. I mean heck. Ben are wisconsin minnesota rivalry this week is potentially in peril of for football because of because of covid You look at other sports. Obviously you've seen around the state. The numbers the spike I i don't wanna say it's inevitable. I mean it's just kind of the the numbers it's the odds. i mean. knock on wood. As i have left a house today and a handful of days for anything and and my hair continues to decline. Like you know. I don't know bad haircut. But anyway like i don't want to say like i said inevitable but it was. It was sort bound to happen. I mean it's it's been other sports at places you know you just hope i guess. At this point everybody can get healthy. We don't know when training camp and things like that are going to start like we've talked about in the past but you figure you know at least if if everybody is okay going forward that that they can move on from this. Yeah i mean. I think you hit the nail on the head there in terms of like you know this is not a totally unexpected situation at this point just because as you pointed out the testing numbers in nevada. I mean they literally hit an all time high today. Tuesday as we're recording this now. It should be said that because these players that has a positive were not identified. We're not one hundred percent sure or not whether these players are in nevada. The fact that they're closing obviously city national arena. Sure makes it seem like it but not one hundred percent there but even outside of that. I mean we also heard this morning. Tsn reported that the blue jackets appear to have an outbreak in columbus Also this morning team. Canada had two players in their world. Junior camp tests positive. So they cancelled a scrimmage that they are planning on holding and you know in that team. Canada camp are golden. Knights prospects payton crabs cayden quarterback and lucas who they just drafted in the third round. So this is affecting obviously the entire league. This is affecting. Of course just the sports landscape as a whole as we see you know you know. The football recently had a game cancelled seeing college. Basketball cancellations all across the country. And i think it makes it. Crea- clear dave that one way or the other business going to be an issue that the nhl might have to deal with potentially all year. Absolutely i mean if they're talking about january first and starting up in those sorts of things having training camps in two weeks and potentially having training camps even earlier for the seven teams. that didn't make the postseason. A you know. All this is going to be affected by by the virus and testing going forward. I mean we've seen it in with the nfl games you know. Potentially being postponed cancelled pushback. you figure you know at some point all this you know unless i mean i guess you look fingers crossed like whatever vaccine that it seems to be developed in all positive signs seem to be pointing to its effectiveness. Oh you would hope that. All those sorts of things can happen quickly. I don't know we know. What sort of timeline. Those medical things happen on. I'm not gonna pretend that epidemiologists or anything like that. But.

"So it really does seem like you know like I said having compared to be a major league baseball I mean compared to major league soccer had two teams that had a drought of the kind of getaway tournament they put together in Florida of the NHL seems to have gotten the best results so far. Of anyone that's tried to return to play so far yeah. I. Mean I think it speaks to the plan just in general that you know going all the way back to every contingency every. Potential scenario they seem to have at least some kind of plant plan for it and to be quite honest saying the best thing that the NHL did compared to all these other leagues was the testing phase two and they had more than half of the players in half the League essentially while these guys were voluntarily working out that were being tested and kind of being monitored and everything was sort of being logged at that point and it put them in such a good position entering training camp, and then like you said, they had zero positive tests entering the bubble. Will will see how you know none of us know how virus really really spreads in work. And what's going to happen in exposure? That could you know from a hotel worker goes home there's all sorts of possibilities that we've seen. This over the last four to five months and what could happen but. Basically for right now, the optimism is five and everything seems to be. Pointing toward positive. No totally sell its talk about thing. That's not so positive for the Golden. State Way There Thank you. Thank you which is the fact that not all Goldeneye are in the bubble right now they're left one man behind in Las Vegas, and that man is left-wing Max Patch ready the Golden Knights leading goalscorer and leading point score. This season he of course is dealing with a minor injury as we record this he suffered in training camp July nineteen. So approximately nine days ago, and he is not practiced with the team since obviously because he's not with the team right now, a pizza for originally thought the patch ready could rejoin. The team for practice by the end of training camp that obviously wasn't the case Deborrah said Multiple Times that patch ready did not test positive for Kobe. Nineteen that it is you know some sort of minor issue that's holding him back but essentially made the decision to keep him back in Las Vegas because they thought he had a better chance of getting better faster there before the knights arrived at admitting, they weren't a hundred percent. Sure what the setup would look like in terms of the ice time that they would get kind of how. Everything would be laid out in terms of the weight room situation at the practice rink and everything because you know, Pete divorce of those are the two big things. How much do we have access to a weight room? So he can you know recover and try to gain strength and get back to one hundred percent fitness. Then how much time do we have because that's one thing that's really crucial about having him at city national arena is if we want Max Patch ready to do kind of a a your Rehab Scape for forty five. Minutes Max by Jordi. Can do a Rehab Skate for forty five minutes at city national arena. If we wanted to go an hour an hour and a half, he can go for an hour and a half where in the bubble right now restricted kind of two hour blocks where not only the team has to practice but the black aces have to practice to kind of call ups are bringing Edmonton for insurance purposes, but are kind of skating away from the main team. So the main can have more productive practices and so fitting in. Kind of a Rehab Skate on top of that seemed like a lot though it also did seem like from what devore's experienced the first couple of days day that he's confident now that he's got the lay of the land that they could have made it work with ready if they knew Sunday what they know now yeah, and I think that's the case I mean I think they were trying to air on the side of caution as much as possible in you know to the injury itself Kind of from day one with it, they've tried to downplay it. Certainly tried to downplay again today You know in terms of his arrival didn't think it would be a long said it was you know again reiterating a minor injury, all sorts of things so. At. The hard part with all this and you know with the media not being there not getting reports obviously during the playoffs, we get even less than an upper body lower body determination or. You know. I guess or whatever. It's just hard to know like is he gonNa be back for the shore the Round Robin is going to be back for the first round like in if he's back for the first round, he's got a ramp up from zero to a hundred. So. So like there's there's that aspect of it event without him. You know you're talking about the leading score on the team. So how the night's kind of SHELLAC gap and replace that I mean we saw cousins skating there in training camp, but then we also saw. On video from the team social media site that Chandler Stevenson was wearing the white first line Jersey yesterday we can kind of I guess put one and one together come up with to say the challenge Stevenson is getting a look at left wing right now alongside William Carlson and Mark Stone. So there's some experimentation going on in clearly anytime you're losing a guy who you know thirty plus goals score was the leading score was sixty six points In all that. it's a big hole in in. There's just a mystery behind right now as much as pete divorce trying to downplay it in emphasize that it's minor. You know they left him home in and I understand the rationale and totally makes sense that they didn't know. But. They also could have found out from the NHL I feel right. They could ask them questions and they could have got some reassurance and what I thought was interesting was they said it's like a two hour window that you would have and they didn't want to be restricted in that way. So so I guess I get that and if it's if it's easy, they make it out to be for Max Patch ready to arrive so they can put him on a private plane and then. According to the NHL phase four protocol if you arrive via charter private plane and you don't have to serve quarantine as long as you've been doing it before and and how a certain positive test beforehand, etc. so that's probably the category that he would fit in I guess if they feel like he's ready to go and they can drop them right in. Than than that's the decision but it to me, it's still a little bit peculiar and it's definitely a little bit. I guess concerning it raises the level of gets concern as to how long he's just GonNa beat out. Right not just how long he's going to be out. But like you said, what's GonNa be you know the time that he's GonNa need to get back up to one hundred percent because if he's not gonNA. Be Available for the Round Robin Games which we have no idea whether he will be available to the Round Robin Games or will not. At this point you know how much is he going to be shaken off the rust all of a sudden in the first round of a playoff series potentially in. The tricky thing too is the there's just so much unknown because of how the NHL is treating injuries this postseason just because they don't want inadvertently reveal that someone tested positive for covid nineteen if they're not comfortable revealing everything has kind of clouded under the same umbrella of unfit to play not unfit to play, and even though pizza bore is giving us hints about you know it's a minor injury. There still isn't a really clear timetable in terms of okay. Is the. Day Two days a week to week. You know what time are you expecting the bubble? Because as you said, Dave I would assume that they're GONNA get a private plane for him, but there's probably plenty of logistics that go into securing A. Private plane unless billfold is willing to loan him the the nights private jet for a solo trip, which would be kind of various in fascinating but they're still so many questions when it comes to Max Patty status in it's obviously a very big concern for the nights, but it's hard to have a full grasp of just how considering it is because there's So much that is not official mean I was asked on a radio show even this morning about patch raise injury in what I thought in the default answer almost always has to be you know we don't know because you don't want to speculate because There's just so much that you know the team is the leaving unsaid with the way the NHL is handling right and I think you just that one sense that you said that normally we would get a day to day or a week to week or a month a month or something like that, and just to this point, you know it that hasn't been disclosed. So it's kind of just all shrouded in mystery and he let like I'm actually I wanna make light of the situation but but..

Premiering this summer on blue wires. What is of hockey fans? The NHL is a fish alie back I. am been goats of the Las Vegas Review Journal here to break it all down with my colleague Dave. Shane. We've got a ton to get to today. Because the NHL Board of Governors and the NHL Players Association of both given the thumbs up to League's return to play plan as well as the CBA extension of both parties have agreed to which means that. There is going to be hockey back on the ice. We think within about three weeks, so we'll be breaking all that down on this episode before we get started I. Want to remind you guys that we have presented by favor. Drink a favor dot com, also you can catch all our work online at review a journal Dot com days going to have some written content breaking down the return to play agreements and of course. Looking at some questions. The Golden Knights will have to face now that they actually have to get back out there and play competitive games four Shir, and also WANNA remind you guys to please rate review. Subscribe whatever you do to podcasts. Please do to this one now with all that out of the way, Dave hockey is back. What are your thoughts? Drop the park, ooh! No! I mean I. It's Hey. I mean. We've watched all this for like four months. And all these other leagues, and all these other problems that they've had and I've crack jokes about you know the elevator, and and all the sorts of things at the NHL has done with this, but you know they. I mean we'll see can pull it off. That's the biggest question I guess at this point, but for right now compared to baseball. Compared to you know basketball when you've got guys. Showing up in has mad suits and looking like. MARDI MC fly in a back to the future with you know his future suit and all that fun stuff like. We haven't seen that from the NHL yet. the numbers supposedly were like seventy nine percent of the vote was in favor, so we'll see if they can pull it off, but so far you know they. They seem to have done the best job of anybody that tried to come back so far. No definitely and so to give people an idea of what's going to happen now. Training camps are GONNA. Start Monday so the golden answer will be conducting airs at city. NATIONAL ARENA, keep in mind that, of course that's not going to be open to the public than teams are gonNA leave for their hub cities which are either Edmonton. On July, twenty six, so a little bit more than two weeks from now Friday is, we're recording. This games will begin August first. They'll keep going until the Stanley Cup is awarded by October second at the latest. Then we're going to have training camps again. In mid November and the twenty twenty, twenty twenty one season will start December first, and then for those of you that don't remember how this is all. GonNa play out because we haven't even really talked about the format for this whole thing for a month or so, it's all been. Had A CB a breakdown in just the returned to play health and safety protocol negotiations of the nights are going to be taking part in a round robin for the top seed in the western conference, while eight teams are playing in a play around to get to the kind of final round of sixteen, so the nights are going to play. We think to exhibition games and then they're going to play the Saint Louis Blues. Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars once. Each whoever does. Does the best that little competition will get the number one seed in the western conference playoffs, and that will be important, because once they're down to sixteen teams is going to be a best of seven series, the rest of the way in the plastic going to be reseeded after each round, rather than being a fixed brackets of it's going to be very important for the Golden Knights to try their hardest to get that number one seat. That's going to be a big advantage. Dave now that all of this is concrete, it is no longer abstract were no longer discussing. If the season resumes. This format makes sense doesn't make sense now that this is just actually now ironclad the format. We still good with how the NHL is proceeding here I. Mean are still don't like. The If. You're going to really like you know. Pay Me down on something and and all of that I. Still have an issue with like. You know. If. If there's a scenario, were Dallas. Stars, get hot and win like three straight games and they get I. Guess to quote advantage already through of receding. I think that's bogus, but yeah I mean to go back to my. Earlier point about you know the way they've gone about doing this and and everything like that I mean. A. They should be applauded i. mean everything seems to be in place. we'll see if they can pull it off. Again like I, said. But. You know I guess I gotTa be good with it. Brings Back Hockey. Although I'll say this I, do want to bring up one point because we've talked about hockey in the in the return to play by not to bore folks too much, you know from our previous podcast, but there is like a CB a element you know collective bargaining. The kind of comes in all this and I had a conversation with my dad shot up to him and you know one of the things. Heating quite understanding it. He wasn't aware of the situation and The players were in and all this and. The economic chaos that could have been created by by. You know from last four months. It's all tied to revenue everything in the CBA and they had Redo it all you know within a few months, and if you go back and you look at the history Nhl and their labor unrest, losing seasons in half of the season and everything like that for them to hammer this out. And do it for the good of the game and give folks ideally a.

"So there was Brayden mcnabb primarily talking about escrow, and so for those listeners that don't know and I will try not to bore you with this big piece of financial minutia that is the mechanism that ensures a fifty fifty revenue split between the players and owners. Basically, a portion of each player's paycheck gets withheld every year to make up any difference. If the players are basically making too much money, so the owners can get fifty percent of the League's overall pot. Well because this year has been shortened, and there were obviously a lot of regular season games that didn't get played. The owners are going to take a lot of money from the players as things. Stand right now I've heard the FIGURA thrown out at four thirty five percent escrow is what players pretentious. Looking at so thirty five percent of their paycheck next year is going straight back to the owners. If they don't hammer out of collective bargaining agreement extension and what they're hoping to do in that CBA, extension is they could smooth that esker out so maybe do twenty percent over a couple years instead of thirty five percent one year, and that gives them more time to pay the owners back, which would be I mean a big big relief for the players especially guys that. Maybe only have a couple more years left and they don't WanNa. Be forking over a majority of their earnings. Just straight back to the person's paying them. In the first place Dave that was one thing that stood out to me from what Brayden mcnabb said on the zoom calls at any anything else. Stick out to you. Yeah a little bit. I mean one of the questions that I had had. On my list for him was. was kind of touching on the the notion that there's so many of the rights players that are seemingly back cure in participating in the face to skate. You know we've heard reports up to. Thirty players that are part of this now the team there hasn't released that many names I think. How many have we seen like anywhere from ten to twelve? I think we're up to now ben but. I thought it was interesting that he he mentioned how. How he thought that would be an advantage for them. all of those guys there and you know maybe developing some chemistry some continuity you know in things like that early on in in being able to hit the ground running. If in win, the NHL is able to to to restart so so that that did kind of jump out to me that even he acknowledged. That they might have an advantage right now that that they have so many guys in town that they have so many guys participating in this and skating, and you know not having to go through. You know the little issues of travel in quarantine. And, all that that can. Of set them back that that did kind of jump out to me Auburn. Yeah, McNab said a number of other things to as Dave mentioned he was the twelfth confirmed member of the team that we know is skating at city national arena, but that said both mcnabb and then chamber. Stevenson earlier on the teams award show have said basically most guys are in town that the majority of the team. Is Participating. In these workouts, so McNab said that s grows the issue. Obviously, he wants to return to play as he said he's working out with his teammates at short arena. He said that he believes the majority of the nights. If not all the nights want to return to play that he hasn't heard of anyone that has joined the chorus of guys that previously mentioned as guys that are either scared straight up. Don't want to return to play. But obviously the nights don't speak for everyone. And soon as we mentioned earlier, the NHLPA is going to vote on whether they're going to approve all of these various aspects of returning to play. It's basically simple-majority. Simple majority is going to take the day if the majority of NHL players more than fifty percent want to approve all these different items, then those going to be hockey later this summer, if more than fifty percent. Don't. Then we're. We're not gonNA see the puck drop and it's getting really interesting because there was a thread. From sports on twitter the other day, basing their definitely an undercurrent of players that are scared and maybe don't want to come back, so I mean. Do you have a good sense on? How this is going to play out Dave. Have you been able to read? The tea leaves it all as to how you think the votes ultimately come down I mean they would. They would come back. Mean I don't think you go through the process and everything that they've gone through. To get this far along without you having an idea that. The majority of Your Your Union your membership you know wants to play so I would expect them to vote in favor of it, but I would also expect to you know, have some dissenting voices and all this in in people that. Want to voice their concerns. We've heard you know some things there that players on different teams have spoken up Maybe not as I guess publicly. There is some of the other sports They all seem out of you know guys who were much more willing to. Publicly say I'm not going to be a part of this I. Don't think we've heard anything from the from an H. L. Player on along those lines now I don't know if that's them. Doing a better job of of buttoning the Lipstick Aston, letting it out, and whether there is a large number of players that do feel that way I guess we'll see but I would I would expect them. You know at this point. You know. Everything that they've done with all the workday done on, you know a CPA extension, and all the things that seem to be all kind of wrapped up in this unless I. The only thing that I would say is unless there is A. Major change in..

"Another other quick that we can quick touch on the League is going from a face to which is small group workouts to kind of phase, two point five I guess so initially in these small group workouts, players were allowed to skates groups, no bigger than six. Well as of today Tuesdays recording this. We're up to twelve now. Doubled in size is basically a baby step for the League to get. One step closer to full training camps which are coming on July tenth so it's right now is kind of the midpoint between when faced to began June eighth, and when those camps would eventually start, but of course. As we just finished discussing that. CAMP, start. Date is definitely not set in stone. The players still have to vote. They will vote to approve both the training camp, health and safety protocols, and just the game face four safety protocols at the same time, so that is going to ultimately be kind of the deciding vote as to whether the NHL goes forward or not, but I had baby step kind of getting closer to those camps in terms of what's happening on the ice in at city national arena so. You know just that that was something to mention, and then finally before. We sign off I wanted to say this for the end because it's old news this point but I still think it's important to discuss in. That is the fact that Ryan Reeves spoke to the media. Be Zoom last week. He of course talked about the two year extension. He signed with the Golden Knights, but he talked about a lot of other topics to nothing. Especially revelatory came out of it, but I did think however his thoughts on racism in hockey is diversity issues, which are of course like I said such a hot, but in topic right now, and it's something that I think. You know like I said before I tried to take stock of in my life of how I'm affecting these issues and how I can better call in effect, these issues I thought reeves perspective was really interesting, given all of that He said what he termed the quote. Unquote thrown at him three different times in his life that he can remember including once in junior hockey, which is obviously appalling and not great to me. I also thought he had some really interesting thoughts. As to why a lot of black people don't play hockey, which is an issue that certainly come up on this sport a lot and I thought reeves thoughts there were were listening to. Let's hear him speak on that. Why In the sport? pre-civil actually help..

"We've been really trying to turn out. Content I feel like I say this every week, but I am. Pretty proud of the work. We've done throughout these last three months. Trying to give you guys good stories to chew on despite there, not being any hockey played also remember to. Review this podcast. If you can help, people, find us and subscribe. You can get it every week as we keep bringing you the news and the news. This week of course is face to kicked in yesterday. Our recording on Tuesday so kicked in Monday in the NHL. For those of you who haven't heard yet face to means. Small Group workouts are allowed at team facilities in the NHL groups no bigger than six. Coaches cannot be on the ice during these workouts for an office. People can't be on the ice. They can watch, but they can actually be on the ice. Give instruction, so it's just a way to get guys skating again. Because a lot of players just feel like they need to kind of get their actual hockey legs under them before they you really get back up into competition mode, and so this is supposed to go on for about three to four weeks until we get to training camp, so the nights were one of the teams. Teams as I said that opened up their facilities on day one a face to they had an unknown number of players that city national arena they did say that. Derek, England Marc Andre Fleury Nick. Holden Max Patty Mark Still. Paul stazzone were among the players who skated could be more in all likely hood, I believe we think that they were more because most guys did. Stay in Las Vegas. During the pandemic other teams that opened their doors yesterday where the oilers islanders, fires and maple leafs with more teams expected to up throughout the week. So that's obviously a lot of. Information to download on. The news of yesterday, but Dave. It was kind of. Interesting and I think exciting for hockey fans to see hockey players like i. said do hug things. Yeah, and I know one of the things we got was a video late with you know some snippets of of the action in Marc Andre. Flurry flurry doing a push up after allowing a goal and things like that. Spans. Than everybody just air thirsting for this I mean there was so much response to you know just guys Kinda Kinda, cruising around, and in handling a little bit taking a few shots I. There's just so much appetite. Everybody misses it so much, and it's really obvious I mean I. Guess my biggest takeaway I will mention though. From all of that is, it's voluntary and mark stone and Max, Patty to players who were injured win Nhl season went on par on Martin. Rob were among the six out there on the first day, so a good sign for their health, a good sign that that they would be you know ready to go in in pointing the right direction as far as health goes. Yet totally so as Dave mentioned, it's all voluntary so the nights. That's why we don't have the full list of the guys who showed up for the Golden Knights. Because it's voluntary, so they don't necessarily have to disclose all that with that. We should also mention that of course because it's voluntary, and of course we're still middle of a global pandemic. City national arena is closed to the public and to the media. So if you're listening listed all excited and thank you run back to city national arena. Unfortunately, you can't. It's on lockdown still to try to protect these players as much as possible and keep them healthy, but that being said this was a step in the right direction. The NHL is the first. Step, they've really taken towards getting closer to play since the League did shutdown in mid March. So it's you know it's a baby step Adam, but it is a step. Yeah, and I think that's Kinda. Why people are so excited I mean there's just as they were saying so much so much thirst for just anything to happen out. There of you know you know you're not gonNA have games for Awhile in this phase is in Alaska or at least three to four weeks. Maybe even five weeks, so Y- hockey is down the road, but at least it's like Oh wait. They're actually on the ice. They're actually doing things as you said. Hockey things like this is. This is the first step inside I think. The reason that people are getting excited. Because it's actually you know all the talk about. Maybe it can happen. Maybe they can come back. You know at some point. It's going to happen now. It's okay there on the ice. They're taking that first step toward doing back and you can kind of understand why people are so excited about it and why you know there's so much thirst for all I could actually see these guys participating in hockey activities together like that's a. that's a fun for steps. I think that's that's kind of driving the excitement here. Yeah totally so we've got Clips Up Review Journal. Dot Com if you WANNA check him out. I mean Dave mentioned. There's some fun stuff like Marc Andre. Fleury doing push ups for the most part. It's honestly not that exciting. Except for me. Watching it yesterday, it was hockey, so I kind of felt weird watching it because it just had been so long and just that in itself was. A lit- FERMI that being said is kind of talked to Adam about. It's a very very tiny baby step. They're still a lot of protocols that the League has to go through to get from where we are right now to actually playing games so phase three training camps won't take place until I believe July tenth the earliest sort of looking at about at least a month. Month, if not longer for this kind of small group workup phase, and then beyond training camps, which are expected to be about three weeks. That's not officially either then face for will happen. which are the actual games in hub cities? We've discussed the format for that. In previous episodes, actually going to discuss kind of some more news about the format in just a second here. But yeah, then face for those games in the hub cities hub cities also still need to be selected and Dave, actually a great piece on this over the weekend..

"I am just so tired of hearing about the stories of people that are killed on the roadway because these moron impaired drivers I probably another guy who was drunk of course he survived a completely innocent person in the other car dies it almost seems like every day I talking about the stars I am so sick and tired of hearing about it and I'm telling you they got a guy I keep hearing this all the time John that if you're if you're caught with the delight of Las Vegas is tougher than than most other places in the country that might be true I don't know but I talk to people I know friends of mine that I've gotten several do you wise that still have a drivers so how hard is it you know I don't eat what you kill somebody or not you know you should not be allowed to drive a vehicle if you've gotten three D. lies that's just my yeah a musician Eminem as you mentioned earlier used a recreation of the one October shooting as a backdrop for his video for his new single darkness it's infused with recreated images and audio recordings of the mass shooting at the route ninety one harvest festival in the song Eminem assumes the persona of a would be shooter uses an actor shooting out the window of an upper level hotel suite while rapping about Las Vegas and you can see that video on our website at Katie W. N. dot com believe it or not this is a subject that me and JD agree on a hundred percent and I want to put words in your mouth JD but we do agree on this correct absolutely yeah what do you what's your feeling on edge on your in this town as long as I have it's a little bit much and it's definitely just for the attention so you're getting he is helping out with that but but it it yeah it was Vegas in a negative light at what do you mean you agree with me and and JT John that he should be doing something for charity if he's gonna make profit off of the October right clearly is to charity or something I don't think it's unreasonable to ask him do you know yeah I don't think so either you'll see star Conor McGregor will return to the cage Saturday at T. mobile arena but he's thinking about another venue for a future fight he was asked about a promotional poster that was leaked online this week supposedly by Manny Pacquiao's camp featuring McGregor and Pacquiao with a completed allegiance stadium in the background no date was displayed McGregor excitedly asked reporters during the U. of C. two forty six media day interview Thursday when the stadium was scheduled to be completed when told of this summer he said I would love to be the first combatant to fight in that arena I'm gonna tell you right now by the way we have Marc Ratner who is the vice president regulatory affairs for the U. S. C. will be joining us in our number three I'm gonna tell you right now if McGregor gets back in the boxing ring it ain't gonna be in it could be many Pacquiao in my opinion it's going to be Floyd Mayweather because he is a bigger draws big of a draw as many Baggio as they would not get half the results financially if it's void may weather yeah right I agree I would even want to fight right so you agree if Floyd flow it's got to be flooded in right yeah yeah and by the way I do think that's going to happen I think I think you're right or or you could be could box another UFC opponent in across type deal but it would make as much money as they would do would do well it was the first draft into UFC fighters in the boxing ring you would do well it would do well but I'm telling you right now he fights Floyd it'll do twenty times more money you know what I mean it's like night and day I'm not saying they would make money if that happened but Floyd is a huge money maker no matter who he fights he can fight a guy in Asia you know and and make a bunch of money in a joke of a fight so Floyd is a money maker McGregor is a money maker but I do think it's important that he wins this fight and we'll talk to out Marc Ratner coming up here just a little bit to preview it in any of our list coming up right after the news but a pigeon wearing a tiny sombrero was spotted in Reno city manager Sabra Newby tweeted about the hat wearing bird but she's not approving of the practice she says while some see it as quirky and fun it's inhumane of course recently pages were spotted here in Las Vegas wearing miniature cowboy hats so yeah and we have Mariah Hillman from lofty hopes an organization that's trying to help these patients let me ask you guys this question if you saw one of these pigeons wearing one of these to browse what do you do to call nine one one like what do you do it is it an emergency what would you do I don't even know what I do I don't even know what I would do I'm trying to picture of it and then I would leave it alone I'm going here to flying route one that's true you could get you could get out was or subdued pigeons have rabies I don't know they've got all kinds I got scrapped I would definitely belong I well you would know anything yeah I know I'm I'm I may take a picture if I like a really good opportunity but I definitely is listed as a hat like the pictures are out there we're a VGK had you know over something that we can support you in LV well that's the debate around yeah I nice maybe yes something right by us some Brera you can come up with something a little bit more creative than that by the way before we let you go John I know you are a golden knights superfan we had Danny brown you on the show yesterday yeah really smart guy obviously a world class poker player but a very knowledgeable hockey fan and he agrees with me that this was a stupid decision to to fire Gerard galant now you being as big a fan as you are you must have an opinion on this I didn't get a chance to talk about this on the air I do have an opinion on it my opinion is it's a business and Hey fans we don't own the team someone else owns the team and they can do what they want everyone who thinks oh I can't believe you brought in the San Jose Sharks former coach you think he's going to come here and sabotage this team now I know now he's the coach of this team and the golden knights are is main priority and John you watch you watch every single night's game probably and if you did you notice that the team was on a kind of a downward trajectory last ten games for he was fired yeah and it was amazing I know other things were going to flurries personal life of the dad passed right I completely understand it but he played like a whole new person last night he did and I don't know if it's because there was a change I do think there was more going on than just we lost four games in a row because we lost four games in a row earlier in the season to ride I don't disagree with anything you said you're right I certainly don't think devour is going to come in here and and sabotage team you know he's ones but my opinion still stays the same and that is this the man in your one got us the Stanley Cup finals the man you're too probably would have done the same thing if you didn't get screwed over in the playoffs they're only a few points out of first place I understand maybe the last two games they weren't playing up to the standards I get that but at the same time they were in the stat sheets the team was still performing at a pretty high level to just we're getting into a hole and losing hockey games I think when you have a coach that is you know also voted as an all star coach in the team at least give until the end of the year I thought that was maybe maybe that that obviously there's a lot of things going on that we don't know all right there could have been contract situations that could have been personal that's what I think I'm going to personal route I think the ego and this was personal and they had some disagreements and he said they said take a hike and then they had this guy because he was available and he was you know obviously experience in the league I don't think it's a bad coach I think he's a good coach I just I just think it was a bad decision I hope I'm wrong and I hope the team does well they certainly played inspired against a bad hockey team again the senators last night you can't really look at this and say wow look at the changes I think they played some inspired hockey you're right sure it's gonna take some time he was there for right less than twenty four hours exactly really what did he have to do I don't think which with last night's game absolutely nothing but the players I think played a little harder I think that's what it comes down to Florida had a good game you're absolutely right I think the players as professionals took little responsibility and said Hey guys this is on us because our plan better and unfortunately we live in a what can you do for me now world so it doesn't matter that two years ago we were in the Stanley Cup Finals we're not right now I think this is what I think matters this is a lose lose situation for divorce lawyers I really it was definitely a hedonistic move but and I mentioned this the day after that know that it happened this team makes trades a lot this team is not afraid to pull the trigger in this is this is just more proof of that at all levels the team the team will not be afraid to make a move yeah well I also don't like the fact that we have the general manager saying that this was a twenty four hour decision I don't buy that for a second I don't think they just gave me more call and said Hey you want to coach this team now I don't buy that for one hour you know now yeah I I don't appreciate that I don't like lying I don't like we had run a few trial on yesterday who was at the city national arena trying to talk to some fans and run came on our show and said that they kicked him out of there as well as several other members of the media right that is a wrong way of handling this situation I think the nine seven handle it right I also think why not wait a little while until the all star break at least given that kind of respect why do it on the road so there's a lot of problems I have with the way they did it you're right they have the right to do whatever they want to add that I think they did it on the road because now he has road games the all star break more road games it's gonna be a long time before they ever get back here and things may have calmed down by this and they could hired Louie Anderson as their head up hockey coach they could do whatever they want to leave any other whatever you buy X. that's true lose a big guy he would appreciate that job all right Mr Shaffer thanks as always for coming and have a great weekend my friend we will catch you on Tuesday you're not here Monday right it's MLK day correct all right all right well John have a fantastic extra extended weekend my friend and I were gonna take a quick break when we come back John Schaefer dispatcher John just mentioned a little bit about the sombreros in Reno pigeons wearing sombreros and we know we're gonna be talking to a woman by the name of the Ryan Hillman when we come back she's from lofty hopes that organization is trying to help these pigeons and get them off the streets so to speak wearing hats will take a quick break we'll be back right after this you listen into Vegas steak I'm the only one of one point five FM seven twenty AM Kate on you're listening to a best of the Vegas take due to the corona virus outbreak and the closing of the Beasley media group studios the biggest take will "Greeny and myself speaking after GM the Kremlin's press conference David well another trade deadline the NHL is come and gone and yet again for the third straight year the Vegas Golden Knights have made moves right at the deadline. Obviously the big one today goalie Robin Lehner from Chicago. Malcolm's bans out. Give us your instant reaction instant reaction from Kelley macron is that Malcolm Sudan. Just wasn't getting the job done. I think that's really would kind of boil down to you. Basically said they didn't have the confidence that if something happened to Marc Andre Fleury Malcolm Sudan win in the playoffs. Markham Sudan gave up five last night. You could argue. I guess it wasn't his fault and things like that but it always seems to Kinda happened when Malcolm Sudan's in that he's giving up four goals and four of his last five start hasn't been getting a lot of starts just kind of didn't earn it. They talked at the start of the year about how they wanted to balance it out more. They wanted to even you know take flurries workload and and use it up a little bit. Malcolm suge never proved that he could handle kind of his end of the deal. That had a chance to get somebody better. They jumped on it. I actually personally think even if lanes only rental it's much of a steel obviously they didn't believe in Suba and they gave up a second. They gave up a prospect but deal they worked with Toronto and Chicago. Their only six percents of liners contract. He makes five million dollars right now. There's eighteen games left. I think at this point. We'll see how much he plays him flurry. In terms of how much they get I do think was an insurance policy. A flurry went down. You're a lot more confident when leaner than three. But let's look long term rental. They don't seem to rentals round here except Ryan Reeves who they signed again. Where do you see this in the future or do we have to let the playoffs play out yeah? I think we have to let the playoffs playoffs. That's basically Kelli Kelli macrame and said you know. Kinda handle out you know when it comes to it. You Know Robin Lehner. Obviously he's earned the right to be under six free Asian kind of choose where he wants to go. Last year he chose to go to Chicago one year deal five million. He's kind of proved that he's a starter in the NHL. I think he wants to go somewhere to be quite honest or at least he seemed to indicate that during the season where he's going to be V. Guy and he's going to be relied on. I don't know if that's going to happen here. Maybe he sees the opportunity. Maybe he wants to share it with Marc Andre floor but I think for short term this is about having essentially the best goalie combination maybe in the entire Western conference maybe in all the NHL going into the postseason. They feel much better about things again if something were to happen to Marc Andre Fleury whether it's injury whether it's slumped that they can put Lehner in there and he can win games and it really comes down to it. Maybe take them you know. As far as they went to the first season. We'll see two other major deals with start with another trade. Tell us who nick cousins is? Well if you ask Martinez. He's a bleep disturb her. I can't really say it on a public. Tv They say that about us at the paper. I you know I take pride in that but you can never have enough of that. Somebody who's a past somebody who's going to antagonize get under another team skin and things like that especially in the postseason. That's what it really comes down to. You see guys all the time. That kind of dominated a series. It happened a little bit last year with Ryan. Reason evanger anytime you can. Have somebody like that on your team. That can you know. Be a little bit of a lightning rod and have some Sam Pay Some sandpaper. Excuse me in some grit to their game. It's a good thing. I think that's what he's going to bring but he can also chip in a little bit of offense probably on the third line. That's where they're banged up right now. That's probably where he slots in by. You know if something were to happen on the fourth line certainly. He has the the game. I guess to go down there and play the way that they do. Okay also Nick Holden defenseman now signs a two year extension. This was interesting because I think everyone knew that Nicole John Merrill they were. Ufa's to be and everyone was kind of thinking they kick one of them and maybe let the other one test. We'll see what happens with John Merrill but Nick Holden. Kelly talked about his character. He talked about his maturity how much he's loved in the room. You asked a great question in terms in the future. There's a lot of young guys. Is Nick Holden able to maybe step aside? If he's beaten out what do you think about extending colon? Yeah I thought it was a good move and I think the point is short-term. He's played really well paired with St Theodore. They've been one of if not arguably their best pairing so you kind of earned that contract. He's you know he was a guy. That Clamor Kerman talked about came in in great shape. You know really kind of played his way into a contract and a contract year. I think to my to my question. I guess to to Kelly a macrame and it was like you said they've got up and coming guys. They have guys that you never know nick. Holden's in his thirties he might have a job. He you know overtaken he might not. He might play his way into the lineup. We'll see but if it comes down to having to have nick. Holden is your seventh defenceman like you said. He's great in the locker room like Crimen said you know. He's not a guy that's going to rock the boat. He's a great mentor. And all those sorts of things. When you you know you're looking at a roster and kind of filling out different pieces you need veteran guys you need guys your character in the locker move been around come. Crimen talked about everywhere. Nick hold goes in the League. He's got friends every arena. He seems to know somebody. That's kind of the way he is and you can never have enough guys like like that on your team. It's not expensive. One point seven million view. Av Excuse me for two years. So it's not like you're weighing down a payroll to get somebody with Nick Nick. Holden's character there you have. It live from city national arena on trade deadline. Day Robin Lehner is in the fold. He is now a goal alongside. Marc Andre Fleury. Nick cousins is here dad depth on the forward line and Nicola at least for right now is on for two more years. We'll see how that plays over the next two years in terms of his spot for Dave. Shane I'm ED grainy. Talk to you. Ever see an untucked buttoned-down they look bad. Why well because they weren't meant to be worn that way? Thankfully there's untuckit the original button-down shirt actually designed to be worn untucked matter your size or shape. Untuckit shirts always fault at that. Perfect untucked length with more than fifty fit combinations. Untuckit shirts looks great on tall short slim and athletic guys of all ages. Like I'm six five so it was hard to find. Shirts fit me well and then also kind of fall the perfect length..

"So as I said before we should probably talk a few non for things that are going on with the Golden Knights right there. I guess I guess These are slightly less fun but they also in the past week. Have jumbled their lines and after I think some growing pains that that seems to be working their second line which started out pretty slow the new like one with Jonathan Marsh so code you mark stone has played a good last couple of games and then all of a sudden the third line which we've talked buzz just kind of an issue all season. Now has Alex Paul stazzone and cody glass. My thought very very competent last night. What are you seeing with the changes? And what they might be doing to the Golden Knights lineup. I mean I think it's giving them more depth. Everything's a little more spread spread out now. It feels like you know were whereas before they were like clear top six bottom six now feels a little bit more like there's like a a top nine you know and then you've got the so called fourth line you know but they just feel deep I know. Even some of the the people were applying to things tweets with like the Golden Knights lineup. Were kind of like how deep and Neil that firstly third-line those first lying in you know. Obviously these are maples. Fans that you know going into the game last night I think one of their team to a fire as coach and and do all sorts of things. So you know it's a little bit of the not the best crowd sourcing. I guess maybe in that regard but but yeah it just feels it feels like everything is a little bit deeper now. Feels like they have more of a threat threat down there especially it's weird. Just talk boy. What one guy can do? A one guy can make a difference throughout a lineup. It's not really that like moves anybody surly it just kind of. He adds so much of that line any line that he's on he can drive place so much you can drive offense because of his speed because the way for checks and then all of a sudden you've got somebody like cody glass. Who is such a playmaker always looking for for that open pass and and things like that it just it just seems like the right chemistry they have right now and then I'll point out this too is I mean if you're going to really look at it in in terms of technically literally whatever it's Pasi got demoted to third line and? I don't think you would see that in his attitude or is play or anything like that. He's not acting or or responding. Like you know sulking about being a third line Guy Right now. I don't think he sees it like that. I don't think I mean have check ice time and how they're being deployed in. What have you but you know? It's all things that we kind of talked about. Lascher even start of the year you know. How do you you kind of move around glass and stays in what you know what would what where whereas publicizing an GonNa be comfortable? And where will he buy in. And he's GonNa buy in pretty pretty much wherever you put him where. I don't know that everybody else you know not necessarily in this thing. But there's definitely guys around the league you know you asked to do a certain role. Do certain things move from a second line to a third line and you're not going to get the same reaction you know that the Golden Knights have have gotten out of pastas any right. I mean he's been totally professional about it and I think that's probably one of the reasons they signed him. Two years ago. I mean I was at an event. Obviously Monday were pulsed. Asking a Max Patch ready. We're out in the community trying to do some good things and so I think status that mature veteran presence that a lot of times winning teams need a they need guys that are going to put the team above self anthony. Certainly that guy now like you pointed out. Alex Tuck. I think makes everything easier. His most guys that also get demoted to third land. Don't get to play with a number six overall overall. Pick and a former first round pick. WHO's seems to be playing with his hair on fire right now? 'cause Alex Tuck I think is playing like a guy who missed a lot of games earlier during the season and is trying to make up for lost time so he's trying to play three nights worth of games in one game just kind of leaving it all out there. It seems every shift and and I mean to some extent. That's kind of what you want from them. You know especially on that line like he's gotta be you know the F. or check or the guy in there creating havoc havoc in in and all that sort of stuff I just WanNa go back real quick. 'cause like I mean you know I said all that stuff about a demotion and I don't I mean maybe I think maybe misrepresenting representing that a little bit because I I kind of go with where I think. Jar Glance on this is that like I said. I don't think he sees it as like old. You're going from the second line third headline I think he just sees it. As you're just all in my top nine and you're all going into the blender. I got some bananas at the bottom. And we'll clean it out or whatever over you know and then these are the lines that he kind of came out with I. It's so so yeah I mean like I said if you literally look at it. I guess it's the motion but maybe yeah I was incorrect in really even bring that up because again. I think that's where they've looked good. The last few games is that whatever lying is going greenwell George Lincoln can go with that and if that means the I guess quote Unquote Third Line is humming. Then he's GonNa give them more ice time. That's that's the flexibility that it has now now or probably he didn't have before when the third line was kind of struggling with Perry and Z.. Cough and guys like that right which I guess maybe now we have to throw Zeke off into the mix here since we saw income back to practice. Yeah let's talk about that little upset that we saw yesterday. Valentine's e COBB was like the Second Golden Knights player on the ice for their morning skate on Tuesday he of course was suspended. Twenty Games for violating the NHL Challenge Shelby as Substance Abuse Program. I believe same thing that Nate Schmidt basically got popped for beginning of last season except the Golden Knights At the suspension handled them very differently where they basically supported Schmidt Schmidt said. We believe that Schmidt is innocent and with Zico they said. Here's a bus. Would you please kindly crawl under it because you told us according to George mcphee that you've been taking supplements for four years that we did not approve above so yeah. We support the fact that you're going to be gone for twenty games now per rules. He's allowed to practice ten days before he's eligible to come back which it was yesterday Tuesday as recording on Wednesday but I was still relatively surprised that they just haven't outright cut him waived him the fact that he actually got to to get his name played back in the city national arena locker room got to wear a golden sweater again. Yeah were you surprised as well. They've yeah I was. I mean obviously mostly what class and we talked about him. I made the comparison. Trashing my friend's ex girlfriend who got back together with her. Whatever your the best analogy is not You know we haven't had to make up gagged since announcing Zeke off has not been available to the media yet But yeah I mean gene simply yes very surprised only because of what you laid out the difference. The way that the way that they viewed that suspension versus the way that they viewed the nature of Schmidt suspension and then even to jar glance pointed me even Kinda made a comment of one of them was a star player. And the other one's GonNa fighting for ice time. Yeah regardless the situation there also also a different caliber of player which You know certainly we've said but the Dr Glenn Really laid it out there like yeah. He's not just going to jump back into our line upright now. I guess the flip side to all of this is they send period down through waivers there. At what twenty. Twenty one. Twenty one because yeah yeah they only have only whole last night so I mean there's a room for them I guess if you're going to like Annie's and he's cheaper than Brennan period. Technically you're going to give them a second chance. I don't know if that that would necessarily be a second chance. Considering waivers a few times in that it's pretty egregious violation. I guess taking a substance for four years and you know ends up getting popped for it. I mean I've you know made my opinion on his game pretty clear that I don't like it just in terms of the fit on the ice and things so I I I would be surprised but I mean I guess what I would bring up with all this is as I said to you guys. He better not shoot a puck below or are above anybody's knees. He better not come anywhere close to a goalie and we saw practiced today Hombre mcnabb near collision. And whatever. And I'll tell you what there was a weird vibe right after that where he looked Kinda like apologetic and some of the other guys. Were looking like you know whatever dude you know I just don't don't kill anybody while you're out here I I. It's just a weird. It's a weird vibe. It's a weird situation because when Schmidt came back it was open arms in. He was who in Oregon and I remember like he talked about he had sent a text to guys is like I am coming back. And it's going to be loud and I'm GonNa be you know I'm going to be named Schmidt and is just so different with with with with with Zeke off right now I just I mean nobody in the locker room was like yeah. We were glad to have him back. And you know made a mistake. But we'RE GONNA WE'RE GONNA welcome. It just never felt that that vibe that way. I don't know I was different for you but no I didn't pick up on any sort of like that either. You understand why those lives wouldn't be there because what has he really done for this team. Yeah not a whole lot. He has to assist in seven games. A seasoning played the first seven games because because Alex Tuck was her glasses plane center early on the air but now those wings spots are Kinda spoken for so. He's probably not really getting a second chance. I would think ohring injury and so I think with a point I made at the time when he got sending I would still make now of like. What are you hoping to get this guy? He has slightly cheaper brand imperial replacement. Is it worth it for your organization to replace as you know your depth winger at a slightly lower cost in the exchange of having a second guy who was pop for A. PD's on your oster. I'm not sure that it is. I'm not sure that would be great for the goal nights organization to keep like I said you know two guys around there because you can obviously defend nation it and we don't know what Test positive for we know that was very vehemently opposed to a suspension. That now he's trying to rework in the next CBA whenever they kind of figure that out he wants to change the testing policies. And that's all well and good but when it happens twice and you're still allowing a guy who you weren't even defending back on your team. That's where I think it's fair to raise questions about. What are you allowing organizations? Yeah the image. Just the image hits like I don't see how you can withstand that you know I guess if you're gonNA use jar glints analogy like this was a star player somebody that was scoring goals. And whatever the you know hey you know you have to figure out. Is the juice juice worth the squeeze. That's one thing but the skies like a bottom six a student. You know like to me just just to me if I'm in for an office and I'm having a conversation about all the stuff that we're kind of talking about because I'm sure they've had you know much greater more detailed conversations of let's explore every avenue this if we bring him back if we don't whatever I mean I'm sure just the perception the image aspect of it had to have been discussed. They have to understand that they have to understand that. You know there's been what seven guys or whatever or seven incidents the new. CBA got approved. Seven guys eight incidents I believe and the Golden Knights have obscene. You're in charge of the lineup with two of them like active in the same line is that to me. It's just I don't i..

"Your basically not cut you off but but yeah. I think the idea is that. Is there a pattern developing here or he's on the downside of his career because he's had two seasons now or you kind of you know question whether he's healthy. He had the nikkei in montreal he had. I don't think he ever admitted it but early concussion you know when he got popped by bringing coburn tampa game and then you know other little niggling alling kind of injuries throughout the year if you can't stay healthy and then the nights are all of a sudden trying to juggle you know maybe i'll talk in all these things i mean the one thing that's it's been pretty clear and you know obviously a lot of people have talked about is the lack of depth than if you've got next patriot he's struggling and you're trying to fit like brennan period or something up there you you know that's a whole that's a that's a whole lot of problems for jargon. That's for sure yeah. I'm just intrigued to see how he kind of. I guess fits in for lack of a better word at the beginning of training camp here because last year at this time obviously he was you know in a dispute for lack of better word with montreal. He was on his way out. He knew it got traded. During rookie camp had to move as an entire family here. He had three three kids at the time. Now is four whereas you know you fast forward for today. I mean kids are in school. He's already here in las vegas. He was at city national arena china yesterday. So is he going to be more established at the outset of camp and thus be more comfortable heading into year two with his second n._h._l. I think if i were in in his skates the fact that they played well in the playoffs that line and then you have something to kind of build off coming into this training camp. You know i would feel like okay. I'm in a better spot right now but we'll see you know that that's a it's a big question. He's he's obviously a guy. Who's making a lot of money that they're expecting a lot of production from that. You know at these last year you could argue. They didn't really get you can get into more of the things that could make or break the season next time on.

"S._d._n. Sports mobile from station casinos but with that out of the way. Let's get to our conversation with golden president gary boobs then day. We're happy to be here and <hes> <hes> ready to talk some hockey so it's easy to get us here. We're gonna talk hockey so we're looking forward to it. Yeah awesome well first of all pretty easy question but how's your off season and so far it's been fantastic obviously <hes> it ended quicker than we had hoped in terms of the the season itself and so it feels like it's been forever but it's it's been great great. The business has been fantastic. <hes> everything's coming together and we can't wait to get to september so we can get training camp opened up. Get that first preseason game under our belt on september number fifteen th and then get ready to <hes> take on those santa's san jose sharks on october second so everybody's fired up so i kind of always think of you as it's like the george mcphee off the ice. I don't know if that's an accurate description that that's kind of how i think of you so maybe for a lot of the fans that are listening. That don't really know what you do. How would you oh. I guess describe your role with the organization other than george and i are probably two totally opposite personalities. He's a former player. He's very competitive. He's probably a lot smarter than and i am <hes> but i i really i focus on the business side of what we do. We talk a lot about with our group but our our job is real simple. <hes> it's to drive the revenues that are necessary. Sorry to support what we wanna do. From a hockey perspective it's to make sure that we have the best fan experience and home-ice advantage in hockey so again so our players can do what they do at the highest level and make sure that we give back and serve our community <hes> the golden knights wouldn't be go nights if it wasn't for the the entire valley alley <hes> the city of las vegas city henderson the way they support this team is amazing and <hes> we never lose sight of it so i said our business team. It's real simple. That's what we're here to do you and if we do that at a high level then we're doing everything we can to make sure that the guys on the ice have the best opportunity to be successful and that's what we're focused on every single day before you got to the knights organization you work for the hurricanes. You worked for a group that worked with the dell stars. Were you always a hockey fan. I was a hockey fan from the earliest earliest period of time as much as you can be growing up in oklahoma <hes>. We had a central hockey league team so i was fortunate. My dad allowed me to tag along many times. He'd take guests customers things like that to the games <hes> but i don't know that i really knew that i was that much of a hockey fan played baseball as a kid <hes> growing up and and so that was really kinda my first sport <hes> but i had a real unique opportunity to work for the international hockey league in cleveland ohio and i think at that point that's really where i truly fell in love with the game and really started to understand what the game was about. <hes> the players the athleticism the skill the physicality a hand eye coordination guy who played baseball <hes> i'm amazed at what these guys do and <hes> and so that's really where i truly kind of fell in love with the game of hockey and to be able to match it up with the sports side. <hes> for me is the perfect trick fit. <hes> had a great opportunity in cleveland with the cavaliers but <hes> the people that really knew me. Well knew that if the n._h._l. Ever came knocking that i probably wouldn't be there much longer and so nobody was surprised when i told him i was leaving to go work in the national hockey league so you mentioned the cows. I wanna actually ask about that just because you know for hockey and n._b._a. A obviously you know the commissioner has across but there's usually not a lot of crossover with the two leagues. I guess you know my question. First off is just kind of what you took from the n._b._a. Kind of coming into this you know <hes> maybe like game presentation things like that. <hes> you know anything else. You know obviously the financial side of things but just what it what were you able to kind of take from from the success of the n._b._a. and bring to the n._h._l. I guess when you came here. Yeah i think first and foremost if you were to look at the four or five five major professional sports leagues that are out there the two that are the most similar <hes> are the n._b._a. In the national hockey league <hes> the time of year the number of games that are played <hes> <hes> the way local revenues really drive the business and how it connects to <hes> to things like the salary cap as an example and and how these businesses run from a financial perspective respective <hes> but i really believe the n._b._a. Is one of the best run sports leagues in the world. <hes> i really learned a lot <hes> the way they take <hes> the best practices in every discipline of the business <hes> it's it's done in a very very high level and how they share that information <hes> really makes <hes> really makes for a great opportunity from a business perspective even so being able to work in that league <hes> see excellence at every level and be able to bring that to our organization <hes>. I tell people all the time look i'm. I'm not an expert in in many things <hes> but i have seen excellence in every aspect of the business in terms of what it takes to be successful on the business side and so oh to be able to apply that to the golden knights organization it served me well and it's something that <hes> you know we take a lot of pride in because i really believe it's not just what happens on the ice that makes makes for a successful organization. I think it it starts both on the ice and off the ice and that's why i think it's important for the business side to understand how they connect <hes> because the players they they wanna win. They want great cultures. They want fun experience. <hes> they wanna home ice advantage those things are important and so when we talk about <hes> what the golden knights are and we start to think about our story as we look forward <hes> you know there's six seven hundred other players out there that are future potential golden knights and so what are we doing on the business side to help add to that story so when george and kelly macrame in in our bill foley when they're out talking to these players they're talking more than just about the things that would be <hes> <hes> just specific to the hockey side of our business and again proud of that that we're able to contribute in a small way so dan gilbert's over its famous for his comic sans memos and i do not do my memos in comic sans but i did learn a lot from dan about culture <hes> about <hes> establishing establishing what your d._n._a. is as business and how you communicate that d._n._a. <hes> we have our own thing here called the knight's code and a lot of what we wanted to do was just make sure that our business business team understood <hes> again how we want to treat our customers our stakeholders <hes> members of the media <hes> how we want to treat each other internally and <hes> really just providing kind of a road map <hes> but also utilizing some of the terminology hockey so we have our own nights code and it's something that <hes> i really learned from dan gilbert <hes> <hes> he <hes> he was really the master at <hes> taking culture and what was important to him and then translating it to and we had close to thirty thousand employees within within all of the dan gilbert family of companies when i left back in two thousand sixteen and so is fortunate to see <hes> to see culture are really high level now. I believe you were with cleveland thirteen years. Do you have any good lebron stories in that time. Do i have any good lebron stories. You know there's probably a lot of them that <hes> that we probably wouldn't be comfortable talking about the one i like to share his early on when you think about young people <hes> and and it and it and it doesn't necessarily <hes> at one point in time when he came to our organization he was eighteen years old and so you kind of get that in your mind and so he's an eighteen year old kid who obviously had a slightly different <hes> experience in ninth and tenth eleventh and twelfth grade than most kids <hes> because he <hes> has many people thought you know he was. Maybe the greatest greatest <hes> <hes> generational type player coming into the n._b._a. Since since probably magic johnson and larry bird <hes> because if you think about michael jordan he was a third round pick so <hes> from early on people knew that he was going to be a special player but <hes> we were there was one point in time we were probably three or four months into the season and and <hes> someone within our finance group. It said you know <hes> we've paid out a certain amount of money to lebron but none of the checks have been cashed and we're like well okay. That's kind of weird. Maybe we should go. Ask him and <hes> turns out. He's still had all the checks just in his you know at this time. There weren't direct deposits like today. It wasn't that long ago but these were actual checks. He didn't even think to go. Take him to the bank. He just put them in his glove box and so there were three or four months of n._b._a. The h. x. sitting in his glove box and we're like lebron you you have to put those in the bank. You can't just put them in your <hes> and he's it's like yeah okay yeah i just didn't even cross his mind and but that's an eighteen year old kid right and that just wasn't as priority and maybe maybe at the end of the day it served him well <hes> because one thing that i do give lebron a lot of credit for as he always used to talk about. I want to keep the main thing the main thing and for him the main thing was basketball all and i think if you look at his career whether you like lebron or not whether you respect his game or not <hes> what you can't argue is the consistency that he's had throughout the fifteen plus years he's been in the n._b._a. And i believe there's really very few players that can match his resume for consistency and and i think that's what makes him one of the all time greats. Also you guys have a number of new initiatives that have happened or you're going through so i just wanted to kind of run through a few of them. <hes> first first of all you guys have updated city national arena. A little bit got a new look some fresh paint <hes>. How do you make it's looking right now well. We're we're proud of it. I you know the honest. The answer is <hes> when we first moved in august of twenty seventeen. We had about a nine month window to get the facility complete. Our first priority was to make sure the building was complete that the n._h._l. Facilities were ready for our players to come in and september of that year and so <hes> what i would call the brand component <hes> it was not a part part of the mix it was basically like buying spec home with basic khaki white khaki pain or white paint on the walls and so it didn't to me feel like an n._h._l. Facility ability a lot of the players play areas didn't feel like an n._h._l. Player area it was nice. It was fine. The carpet was clean all that <hes> but it really didn't have the look can feel that we wanted and so after we got through that first season <hes> we had a big vision for what we wanted it to be. We just didn't have the time to do it and so immediately actually even during in the playoffs that first season <hes> we started with the player areas down in the locker rooms down in the training areas and we started to put up a lot of the graphic vision that we had and then and after we got through that <hes> that season in the off season we started into the ranks and so painting the walls black and the gold and <hes> putting up the the imagery the logos <hes> the castle concept that we built with the video board on the n._h._l. Rank hanging banners <hes> a lot of that investment really came in the second can season and honestly it's still ongoing today <hes> as we're continuing with work with inside the venue who still got some more work on the non n._h._l. Rink <hes> that that we're completing here in the near term and it's just kind of an ongoing thing to integrate the brand and the experience that we've been able to create at the fortress at t. mobile arena <hes> and bring it to city national arena so i'm henderson resonance all ask about that rink and just maybe the progress with that and maybe more so as just kind of the vision vision with that in in what what you kind of see that bringing you know to that area obviously for the organization for the city and beyond yeah we're. We're very excited about henderson. Listen <hes> first and foremost <hes>. If you were to step back three or four years ago even before the franchise was granted billfold. We talked a lot about building the game of hockey rocky in the market and so.

"I am still reeling today as most of you are it's only been what forty eight hours not even since we've had the sting of game seven in San Jose up in the shark tank where the Vegas Golden Knights lost in overtime five to four one of the most controversial calls in hockey playoff history may be even in hockey history. And I'm still sick about it. I don't know if you are please give me a call by all means if you want to discuss it, I have attended every playoff game. The last two years haven't missed. A game on television. This is crazy. I it still reeling. I was down at city national arena this morning at nine o'clock. They had a press conference actually started about nine twenty five or so Gerard. Glut spoke first, then general manager, George McPhee came on. And then after we got done with that we went to the locker room and got to talk to all the players there in his good spirits as they can be today. I got a chance to talk with Marc Andre Fleury. I talked with Paul Stazzone max Pasha ready talked with Cody Eakin appeared PR Belmar was in their mate. Schmidt. Got a chance to talk to him Jonathan Marsha. So had a good conversation with Brayden McNabb and with John Merrill, couple of the key defensive players for the Vegas Golden Knights. And I'm just telling you right now. Let me know your thoughts again seven two two five seven five three nine six if you wanna talk about this. But if you want me to break it down simply, and by the way, I should have mentioned that we will be hearing shortly from Dan Duva. He is the radio voice of the Vegas. Gold. Nights over on Fox Sports radio. I also have a show over there as well. Sunday mornings if you'd like to check it out it's called out a line. It is from eight to nine on Sunday mornings over on the Vegas Golden Knights station. But but seriously again, Dan Duva will be joining us, and I'm looking forward to getting his thoughts a little bit. After that. Also, Ellen snow will be joining the show Allen is basically the founder created creator columnist for LV sports, biz dot com over fifty thousand subscribers strong. And if you haven't checked out, Allen's columns, he talks about the business side of sports, some very interesting material. It's great reads L and also wrote a book the road back to Vegas. He's a very big bicycle enthusiasts and was in a severe nearly nearly catastrophic where I should say fatal bicycle accident down in Florida turned out not to be has since recovered move back to Vegas and started LV sports is that comet again, it is a great read. It's always hot on what's going on at the Vegas. One of the stadiums. The Las Vegas. Park the raiders stadium. Really, cool, but L will be joining us after seven thirty break at the top of the next hour. JD? Of course, sharp will be joining you be calling in they him and Brian are at the NFL raiders draft party. So sharp will be calling in for that. I'm looking forward to hearing that so far the draft kind of has gone through plants. I went through into the first round mock draft so far after I only heard up until the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pick. So far, I am dead on except the raiders surprised the hell out of me a pick. I didn't have to like in the twenties. They took with the fourth pick. If you haven't heard yet the Oakland Raiders with the fourth pick in the NFL draft. Selected Cleveland ferrall the defensive lineman out of Clemson, the guy solid. Okay. There's nothing wrong with me at thirty eight tackles last year. Twenty one sacks. That's in the last two seasons. You know? He is solid is good. I just think with all the draft picks. They had they could have done a better pick in the first round my opinion. I'll get your thoughts. And if you wanted to call it chime in. On who you thought the raiders should pick me. Call seven two two five seven five three nine six. But again real quickly before Dan comes on. I'm going to break this down for you. And then you can chime in with your opinion. And I'll tell you what it was because people continue to ask what happened, and you get a lot of people out here in the business and outside of it. That are saying, you know, what the Vegas Golden Knights had a three one lead in the series. Okay. They lost game. One in San Jose came back and won the next three games. And definitely looked like the better team in all three of them. And then they had three chances to close out the sharks and didn't do it. So forget about the penalty. Forget about what happened forget about. You know, a five minute. Major game misconduct were four goals were scored and say, you know, what the night should have done it in one of the other two games before getting to game seven is that the way you feel if it's the way feel give me a cost of two to five seven five three nine six if it's the way you feel I'll tell you simply you're dead wrong. Okay. You're dead wrong. It's. It's that simple. The bottom line is this they earned the right for seven games. So why are you gonna take that away from him? They they lost three two games in Rhode ended up being three in a row after game seven, but the nights are just one three in row from the sharks. She'd be mad if you're a sharks fan after game four thank God. You took a one goal game series lead you had home-ice advantage, and you blew it. You can look it over to you want. Let's let's look at the numbers the Golden Knights in that game. Okay. Against the San Jose Sharks. Took almost sixty shots on net and Martin Jones let in one let me tell you the last time. Martin Jones has saved sixty made sixty saves in a game. You want to know when close your eyes and tell me what you see never. He didn't do it in peewee hockey. Okay. The guy on a good night is inconsistent. And yet the last couple of games of the Stanley Cup playoffs in the first round. He is that old adage stood on his head. Yes. That's what he did. He played very very. Well, he didn't play so great in game seven, but like the rest of the San Jose Sharks. When job of hausky went down with a phantom in the face crosscheck, which we all know is in his chest. The blood was caused by a bad fall Joep of all ski took a bad fall. I'm not gonna say he acted or anything like that. When you watch it in real time. He kinda ran into stats. He was just trying to get out of the way after Cody can basically cross-checked him. If you want to say that if you watch the NHL on face offs about sixty percent of the face offs in the National League. You will see a guy if you wanna call it technically crosscheck another player what he's doing is moving him out of the way to get at the buck. That's all these doing. There was no malicious intent there was no desire by toady Eakin hurt. Somebody. What is Tony? He can hurt anybody in his life. Maybe in seventh grade he beat up the bully Billy Smith or something like that. I mean, seriously guys, Cody. Ican? He's a net. He is disruptive. He is a great penalty killer. He is not an abusive guy. He is not a guy that attacks happy. I can't believe I'm having the conversation about Cody can the bottom line is this the referees in the officials blew it. They blew it at worst. This should have been a five minute major cross-checking penalty the minute. A goal is scored on a five minute major. They go back to full strength. It's just like a two minute penalty. It just they get five minutes to put the puck in the net. That's it. But when there is a game is conduct that we all probably know this by now, we've heard this rule. It's been rehashed a thousand times over the last forty eight hours when it's a game is conduct the penalty continues until the penalty ends no matter how many goals scored. And we saw four goals scored. Let me tell you why this happened. They wonder why it happened. Why the four goals happened? Let me give you this right now. They happened. Because most of the San Jose Sharks players did not see what happened. So they are figuring and those five minutes of that major penalty. Wow. Cody can just kicked Chope evolves. Skis asked illegally made him bleed broke his head open. And they got fired up like they weren't already fired up because Joel Voss went down. But they see Cody and getting getting booted they see him going to the exit and would Cody goes to the exit with Cody can goes to the exit. What happens is they all assume right away. They all -ssume that they all -ssume that Cody can did something terrible. He must have done something horrific horrific. If if in fact. He must have been terrible. If in fact again. Cody Logan, did not, you know, he must've done something terrible. And that's why they all got fired up. Listen, we gotta take a real quick early break. If we can we'll take a quick break. We're gonna have Dan Duva on after the break. And I apologize somebody here. We gotta make sure we got the right number. I'm Dan do out after the break. And then after that we will again at the bottom of the hour. We'll have Ellen Snell. We've got we've got a sharp coming up at the top of the hour at the NFL draft party for the raiders. And of course, we have a TMZ sportsman that's going to be interesting to in the second hour going to take a real quick break. We'll come back with Dan Duva. Maybe it's time to take a fresh look at everything we thought we knew about landing a great job, for instance, when phenomenal careers start at the middle school science fair instead of at the job fair if being the captain of the robotics team needs just as much on a college application as being captain of the football team. And if knowing the quadraphonic formula is every bit as important as knowing the right, people will the fact is the jobs the future will be heavily geared toward science, technology, engineering and math in other words, the future is stem. More opportunities better pay and the road to great jobs starts as early as middle school. So if you're a student talk to your school counselor about stem, if you're a parent talk to.

"Got goosebumps. I don't get goosebumps. Even if the night's games, but I got goosebumps at that ground breaking today. I really did imagine what's going to go down you guys when it's an NFL Sunday. And you got the New England Patriots come out, right? Chiefs or you have the Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Raiders are chargers. I mean, it's gonna I mean, it's it's the every every week we talked about it when when the Golden Knights came in and and last year, obviously was historic being the first season of any major league franchise in Las Vegas. But it was just really cool that first time every franchise came into town. Whether it was the Pittsburgh Penguins. Whether it was Kogyo Blackhawks, whether you know is Los Angeles Kings. It was really cool for those fans to come into town. Well, now, you multiply that, you know, a hundred times, and that's what you're going to get that first year in two thousand twenty when the raiders are hosting games here at the new raiders stadium right down there off of of the fifteen. It's going to be extraordinary. Can you imagine? How many people are going to get those practices? Let me ask you guys this question when you go to Vegas Golden Knights practice. Okay. You see how many people go to some of those practices? So what do you think the environment's going to be like one of the practices are open? Of course, not every practice practice open. But when some of those. Practices are open to the public. Can you imagine? What that atmosphere is going to be like, oh, it's going to be electric JD rhyming. It's going to be crazy. And and like you said not every practice is going to be always not going to be like in the first first year last year over at city national arena with the Golden Knights where it was open season pretty much for every practice. The NFL a little bit more.
