"Who's offended by the author of the Declaration of Independence. Do you know these nutcases in New York City? Have decided to remove the statue of Thomas Jefferson. That has towered over members of the New York City council for over a hundred years. Because a number of city council members. Were offended by the presence of Thomas Jefferson because he owned slaves. Now, I know New York City pretty well. I wonder what they're going to they're going to have to reimagine Hamilton. You ever seen the musical Hamilton? Lin-Manuel Miranda's masterpiece? Good luck, mounting a production of Hamilton without Thomas Jefferson in the show. This week, shitty officials in New York voted unanimously. To remove the Thomas Jefferson statue. Now, New York is so dangerous right now and I'm not kidding you. It is not that's not an ask. Anybody who lives there. You go on to the subway at night, you're taking your life in your hands. I get approached almost every time I'm there with an aggressive panhandler, vagrant, angry, aggressive and people are getting stabbed. They're getting pushed in front of trains. They're getting slugged in the head, little old ladies are getting run over on Times Square and dying. There was a nurse who was run over by somebody last week. She died of her injuries. People are getting stabbed and sliced on the subways. People, they're shoplifters clearing out the shelves. There's an armed NYPD police officer who has to stand guard at the drugstore in my neighborhood in New York, where I live when I'm there. You know why? Because the give me give me give me crowd goes in and says, give me a shopping bag. I'm gonna steal everything I can because de Blasio on the Democrats aren't gonna prosecute me. They're not gonna go to jail for that. So they just go in and take. And while all that happening to New York, these lunatics are spending time and money to remove the statue of Thomas Jefferson. I mean, I'm not kidding. It has to be said. These are sick people. These are truly shockingly frighteningly sick people. Do you understand who Thomas Jefferson was? I gotta meet somebody. I'm gonna put out at all points bulletin here on the mic Gallagher show. If you're offended by a statue of Thomas Jefferson, you gotta call me. One 806 5 5 Mike. You have my word. We will be respectful. I will be kind. I won't yell. I won't call you any names. I just have to hear you out. I got it, 'cause this is incredible. Over a hundred years. 7 foot tall statute. You know how much is gonna talk cost? The taxpayers of New York like that like that matters. That's pennies to the taxpayers in New York because New Yorkers are already taxed through the nose. That's why John cats are Matisse said people are fleeing New York and going to a state like Florida. The black Latino and Asian caucus of New York City, the city council's black Latino and Asian caucus demanded the Thomas Jefferson statue be removed. If you're Asian, what do you care about Thomas Jefferson? If you're Latino, why do you care about Thomas Jefferson? If you're black, why do you care about Thomas Jefferson? He's dead. A lot of the founding fathers.

To people like this cat's to distaste people to unverified addresses here in my apartment I'm still getting mail from the repair residents. You really don't think that that's going to be something. That's ripe for voter fraud, and so they're trying to. The rules like they always do and undermine the security in the city of the ballot box because they know they can't win fairly, and it's not just Joe Biden, it's all the way down tickets from the the congressional and then the state and local election that they're trying to manipulate, and we've seen the fraud in the primaries and other state and local elections even this year, and you know going back years and years, and it's not just a a republican issue. it's it's of course the fact that president trump is very concerned to protect for every eligible American citizen have the opportunity to vote was and have that vote counted. Good I. Look I'm glad you guys are taking this seriously because I'm. A. Their social security numbers are wrong. Their addresses wrong, then say oh well. It's the Republicans not allowing these people to vote they. They are just trying to set it up for sympathetic media. Oh well, that's voter suppression, you know these people aren't going to be able to vote well that the data just simply isn't there and so why the Democrats are so concerned about removing protections and removing safeguards. That's the question that that common-sense voters need to ask. Why wouldn't you want to make sure that elections are secure? The Russians stole the election. Let's get rid of all the safeguards that yeah hard to reconcile those two arguments. One hundred percent exactly and so let's just you know. Let's make all the the the ballots more accessible. The commission also approved the formation of an interpretation committee to tell the full story, the good and the bad. The city commission also approved the formation of a monument advisory committee. Their job will be to explore possible monuments in various areas of the city to include Rome's complete and total history. I I want to say something about this because. I think. "Some of the city commissions and councils and is fat and slim handle it they actually get elected this band hold those views usually is not available I mean there are a lot of people out there who will buy do anything politically correct let's not forget that in her her last four races for Congress that Nancy Pelosi garnered over eighty percent of the vote in the general election in each of those elections so they're just a lot of people out there who don't agree with us I want to ask a question sure correct me if I'm wrong but aren't there the most the the city and communities in jurisdictions there's a ordinance that protects against vandalism and illegal activity earning public property property including statutes because there are such a such laws in virtually every jurisdiction in the country absolutely why aren't they being enforced just because of the jurisdiction there and they don't care they don't have any essential why aren't a lot of laws being enforced why is an entire section of Seattle but have been taken over by people with no authority whatsoever to do so why has that been allowed to happen is because the people in question who are it's supposedly in positions of authority just can't bring themselves to actually enforce the law I'll defer to to Andre on on this but they they they they they really don't want to actually be so intrusive as to enforce the law well actually and and there are they are capitulating to this common narrative that's out there they don't have a spine and they should grow a spine very quickly because they're elected to come to behold up our laws and your colors right here of course was these are criminal acts that they're doing when you see the stature go down to Richmond Virginia they set it on fire and they threw it into the river it's absolutely a crime and the people should be held accountable but one of these officials gonna grow spines my mentor by way of Nancy Pelosi of course that would be most curious to hear her views on the subject tonight given her maiden name of **** Dallesandro under very name of Nancy Pelosi but haven't heard heard much out of that see on.

"This is a sweet little. memories. saying memory. we'll get to Adam Levine in a minute first we have to talk about New York City in there Tom new laws so this past Thursday there were new acts added to New York City is a list of what constitutes I hate academic right so this is from the New York City commission on human rights they've announced new legal enforcement guidance and actions against discrimination based on immigration status and national origin so what that means is that in this is according to their press release threatening to call ice when motivated by discrimination derogatory use of the term illegal alien and discrimination based on limited English proficiency are now unlawful discriminatory discriminatory treatment under the New York City human rights okay law says somebody it is is not speaking as and I'm like you need to speak English so I can understand you yeah you can say that you're going I can't say that New York City and you cannot say illegal alien you cannot say those words I can't say it's no fun the end of legal aid he yeah. allowed in York can't do that I also can't say I'm not call ice on you and you can't say that I can't even though I want to call ice on somebody you can't say it I can't say and you probably can't even do it frankly what you just can't. stop trying okay so the bottom line is is that a legal immigrants I have all these rights now meanwhile we have seniors that are starving we have veterans who are starving. nobody cares about Latin know where things are her because of all the feels right angle of a legal we can't have people walking around with their feelings hurt well yeah I mean that's that's what Democrats care about is all the feels meanwhile. starving right in that Samir consider. Irving and there are homeless children who are starving they don't give two craps about aids all right now that's not important what matters to York city is trampling all over our first amendment right yes because this is this is kind of breaking this is kind of breaking a bunch a rule it is because we should be able to say what we want to say yeah I mean if I want to say illegal alien in order to describe someone who is here levy illegally shielded I should be able to do that because I'm an American citizen yeah with first amendment rights beat city should be more concerned about not smelling like urine. and not having bad bugs five star hotels you know. I mean they should be have to be concerned about that big gas pretty big gas the Human Rights Commission chair a woman by the name of Carmel in mall Alice released a statement about this in case there's any confusion she said in the face of increasingly hostile national rhetoric we will do everything in our power to make sure our treasured immigrant communities are able to live with dignity and respect free of harassment and bias. I don't screw citizens first amendment right yeah exactly cannot have a legal aliens here having their feelings for hands and glided their priorities are straight I already is are very much in line with the rest of America had that city socks with Paul side I mean it's that's that's really bad though. good job yeah well you know he's not running for president anymore so he's obviously very very very busy. fine to settle down everybody's feelings.

come up in the big five o'clock hour here the Johnny can show you'll be glad to know well LA continues to burn thanks to vagrant fires today mayor yoga pants was joined by the Dodgers and Big Bird to celebrate sesame street's fiftieth anniversary and today was Sesame Street day Los Angeles that's take that with you really good news right now we're gonna talk to a woman by the name of Lydia grant is a former member of the Los Angeles city commission for the greater Los Angeles area she's currently on one of the neighborhood councils this would be in someone to hung area of the San Fernando Valley and she popped up in a great blog then I talked about yesterday with the author Chris McGraw the posting is still on the website he decided to do Missy he does this mainstream media el Segundo times nobody else he decided to start talking to fire officials and firefighters around the state but what's really going on in their fears every day about these vagrant encampment fires and wow did he hear from them Russian roulette they called it unbelievable how many fires a Dave's in one case all the fire to respond to our homeless fires sometimes are small sometimes they're bigger so Lydia showed up in this story this blog with her own frustrations about what's going on in her neighborhood so let me get on the air and talk about that I love the agreement welcome to the John and Ken show right thank you thank you for coming on so I tell us what is going on up in some of the hunger with the vagrant in canton fires well we have a very large problem up here in the someone tanda area we have as community members had several cleanups out in the jungle wash which is where a lot of them live and the problem is in our area is that we have very high fire danger area these are brush areas and the homeless are cooking in Manson damn area hold on sex in Hansen dam area it's been noted that while we are having fires fires are being set almost every day if you want to average it out it's almost every day whether it's the Hansen dam and at that time the wash or it's at the summoned a Hyundai and so more this whole foot hill range up here in the northeast San Fernando Valley there are just fires all the time and what kind of what what kind of work where are the encampment something in areas that are more vacant lot so they and streets are alleyways and where these fires happening so most of these fires are happening in the brush in the and the actual washer that time in the canyon or a Hansen dam in the in the brush areas the homeless live there and what they do is they build underground encampments they build apartments underground and they dig dig holes they put weight on top and then they live in these cases they also live above ground but they have created a warning system for themselves and they set booby traps and punchy sticks and things like that so that if anybody comes into their area they are at risk for being injured and so not only is it hard to get them to move out of the wash but it's also and say for people to go into it well they light fires I know I remember one day and not too long ago maybe it was within the last year and it seemed like there was five fires in one day Justin one encampment area we have a couple of areas that are that are more prone to the fires because more there the the larger encampments and they did cook out there the problem is is we have thousands of residents this is the area that has seen the station fire that is similar to the fire that is seen the creek fire and we feel as community members many of us that were just sitting ducks because we were in our homes and we're doing our brush clearance but the fact is is when those winds pick up it doesn't really matter how far away that brush is because the wind can take those embers for miles so literally we're all sitting back hoping not to be victims of the next one yeah the creek in the to the fire were back in twenty seventeen they didn't trace those to homeless encampments today I don't remember what the cause of those fires were do you it was never determined that the cause of either fire okay sound you know you I know you are a member of the neighborhood council currently for someone to hug as part of the city I am yes I am but I am speaking on my own behalf and not on behalf of the neighbor council but I would imagine is a member of the neighborhood council in your other members on the council probably agree this is a problem I would think that you would have more influence than something that doesn't have any relationship Daly city government in trying to get something done about this this fire danger and it says here in the store you think your council member Monica Rodriguez doesn't do anything well we have some issues that aren't being addressed and particularly the fact that they haven't we many of the leaders in these communities feel not just my own community but cellmark feel that they should be removing the homeless from these high fire danger areas because the basically the cooking with open flames also there have been found and I'm not saying which areas but they have also you know we worry about the firefighters we worry about the propane tanks exploding but also some of these areas have mass that they're cooking mats and there's all kinds of chemicals that can harm our law enforcement in our in our first responders you know we're worried about their health and safety to we want to know that they're okay to help I mean they're coming to help us we want to make sure that they are protected well the city recently announced in Kerr said he was out front in this that we are going to remove the vagrants from these high fire danger areas and you're describing what's going on in your community up and someone Donga and it doesn't sound like you're doing that yeah no we're not seeing the action and the other thing that's interesting to note is we had problems with the evacuations during the last fires because of a row diet that they had put in our area and now since the late June of fire when they had it the fire jumped led to the canyon and it jumped the freeway to the other side they have now road dieted led to the canyon into one lane in each direction also since the fire wonderful that's going to make it real great for people to try to with accu way to something really is some big inferno breaks out so what do you have any contact with Monica Rodriguez and trying to get her to understand what you say is happening every day with fires and the high danger we she let's just say my experience with her it's been that she is not that receptive to what do you think that is too much sympathy let the vagrants live with their living because they've got no where else to go even if it's going to burn it all down what is this we're trying to figure this out you know I think I can answer but I would say there's a lot of political reasons for these things happening you know it it would be common sense that if you have people in danger and you have power to make that difference to help them not become victims that you would do whatever you could to help them but we don't see that happening we don't see any preventative measures being put into place we don't feel any safer than we did in fact probably last days that we have since the last large three fires that we've had you said there's a fire every day somewhere in the community there someone like you mean I mean I can I I'm averaging but I can't speak for every day but yes we have days that there's three fires we have days that there is that there may be none but it just seems like it you know we literally because we have a lot of community blogs and literally it's like up there's a fire here there's a fire there there's a fight there have been fired last couple weeks there's been many queen Hansen dam and our area you know every day we talk to people who learn something new when you added a new element that they dig themselves underground they build like a somewhere and I've not heard that before and and they put they cover over it and then I actually talked to a homeless person who live this way and they have generators and T. V. as in some of our refrigerators they're they're living these are their home these and I've been all over the city in a help with homeless issues there is a large difference between the way and that and that's one of the things that like Chris and I talk about is the homeless crisis is severe everywhere across the city but in each community it's a little bit different you know in Sun Valley you've heard about all the Sun Valley issues like them hooking up to the power poles and and and you know this is within this is within a mile of my house like all of this whole northeast valley have a lot of problems but then you turn around a new look at menace are you look at some of the other areas each fire endangers the lives of people it could be a business that goes up in flames because it was a dumpster fire and the fact now that the homeless are are I don't want his were destroying but damaging the fire hydrants you know you want to be feel safer knowing that if the fire department does respond to a fire near your home that they're gonna be able to plug into a fire hydrant that works and now that's even questionable do you think of all these people offered shelter they would take it up in your community no I don't know that they would take in fact I don't think that they would but when do the right of the people who may be causing harm to others have more rights than the people who are sitting here as as potential victims to the next fire you are absolutely right are Lucy I gotta go I thank you very much for coming on good stuff thanks for talking to me thank you all right that is Lydia grant is a former member of the LA city commission and she now lives this season someone Dongan she's on the neighborhood council they're talking about fires from homeless encampments up there more coming up on the John and Ken show on KFI never Marcussen news a C. bluff near insanity this has collapsed and killed at least one person two others have been hurt rescue crews are working to free several other people a grand view search feature maybe trapped under the failed cliff the guy who shot and killed people of the garlic festival in Gilroy was not killed by cops the Santa Clara county coroner's office is the man died from a self inflicted gunshot San Francisco therefore will soon become the first in the U.
