Senate Infrastructure Bill Is Unfished yet Being Rushed Through Voting
"The legislation still unfinished and failed just a week or so. The legislation's unfinished But it already passed its first legislative hurdle. Ladies and gentlemen. Wow. Wow. More than a dozen Republicans took the plunge and voted to break an initial filibuster on the bill. Among them with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. He's this finger alley behind the scenes. He wants this thumb. Because he's an old fashioned pork barrel senator. And he has no friggin idea. What is Circling this country. With this American Marxism. He's a will or dealer. He's a hospital. That's it. That's it. And even as the Senate agreed to begin considering the bipartisan framework, final passage remains uncertain. Republicans will demand amendment votes and input on the bill, and it will once again face a 60 vote hurdle to close debate. The Senate may even work through the weekend to make progress on the proposal, and it's 550 billion in new spending as August recess approaches its one point Two trillion tower. Why do you think the Democrats in a hurry to get this done? Because they have another one right behind it. Oh, you may have heard it's human infrastructure. Well, it's 3.5 Trillion, but it's actually 5.5 trillion, but who's counting anymore? This is a war on your wallet. This is so we're on your pension. This is who we're on your savings.
James Pollard Espy: The Storm King
"Been relying on and contending with the rain since the dawn of time. Let it surprisingly recently that we really started to understand how rain comes to be in the eighteen thirties meteorologist james. Fc put forward the theory. That convection was the primary cause of rain. As heated updrafts rise into the sky they cool and their moisture condenses resulting in cloud formation and eventually precipitation. This then cutting edge theory landed him a job with the us army as the nation's burst meteorologist and almost immediately raised a question. We're still trying to answer today. Can humans or even manipulate this natural process. His approach lighting huge fires along the appalachian mountains to provide the heat smoke in particular matter needed to trigger storms and bring rain under exactly favourable conditions. Of course sb pitched his idea to congress claiming that if these fires were set on a weekly basis. He preferred sunday evenings. The now regular rain would eliminate droughts heat waves and cold snaps. Prevent river flooding and keep the air clean and healthy by washing down noxious vapor. I'm extrapolating from incomplete data. Here but i would bet my heart shaped but that the word miasma was used in the presentation desma theory of course being the pre germ theory belief. That bad air mal aria caused and spread the disease. Espy's convection theory raised his reputation. In scientific circles. The rainmaker idea. Not as much if anything. He was probably worse. Off for it professionally author nathaniel hawthorne thought. Sp belonged in the paul of fantasy. A marketplace of wild ideas perfectly suited to fantasies of rain kings in climate

They're like which supplement or which thing is the best for that and we tend to overlook some of the most obvious stuff that's right in front of us and i feel like that's what you did a really great job in eat smarter. Is you highlighted the things that it's just easy to overlook and the power of food truly is being medicine not liked medicine but medicine for real right sometimes even better and i want to start off by this study that you mentioned inside of each smarter and it was around alzheimer's and a particular nutrient tell us what that new chain is and how this nutrient was shown to have a significant reversal on our age. Yes so the current size. When we're looking at alzheimer's you know is a really really difficult situation. There's not much as for as peer reviewed evidence on being able to reverse his condition as see much. Improvement is a lot of times. It's trying to slow down the progression but now there's so much evidence coming out in so many wonderful scientists are asking these questions. What can we do. let's try. This thing was try that thing. And the funny thing is is circling back to the world of nutrition. But of course makes sense because your brain is literally made from food and we know today. So a lot of distress with new people and unable to leave home side. You know, very much stuck to her. Glue, you know, wouldn't move with it were moving and so we, we did a lot of work around that move. Eventually got into sections that are owned and in one of our sessions, he walked over to to my books cuz they helped him quite load off the kitty ones. And he picked up the one. What is it called? A little babies? You come across that one. I haven't. I'm writing it down though. I will babies and I will, I hope you ma'am. Let me grab the the order so it's a really beautiful and yeah, it's called our babies and it's by Martin waddle. And it's illustrated by Patrick Ben Branson. Now it's a relatively old book. I got a second-hand version on Amazon but he picked this up off and the story is is basically about one night. These three baby owls. Wake up and Mom has gone. Okay. And they're, they're in the dark and they're they're in a forest and it's nighttime and and the three babies react very differently. But the youngest is is distraught and very worried and very much just cries out for Mom throughout the book. And and then, of course, mom eventually comes back after they try to comfort each other and, and do all sorts of things. Mom comes back. And I just love her reaction cuz she comes back. And she says, what's all the fuss? You know, she could come back and I remember, he picked up this book, and I read it to him. And he kind of looked at me, when I finished, she looked up at me and looked at the back of the little baby. And put his hand over the smallest owl and then just closed the book and put it back on the Shelf. But that will him, you know, he's, he's not baby owl, you know, as soon as this goes upstairs in high circles, the bathroom work goes to work. He's worried the whole time, you know, where's mom wears?

Biden's Door to Door Vaccines
"Welcome back to season to say with me. And saying i am brandon and a few things have popped up and most importantly the ones that needs to be talked about. I think is what let us today. But i you know as opposed to going door to door with a cooler dry ice and vaccines hand So i'm hoping that's the extent of it but yeah. I think that it was pretty. It was a pretty big statement. Sacchi said biden did double down on it. He he came out and made a statement to saying that these different avenues. We're going to be pursuing. One of them is the storm door. He said something like community to community and in some cases even door to door. It doesn't i. i know. I'm not the only one but it doesn't sit right with me It doesn't feel like a good idea. Mindful Leadership: What Makes A Mindful Leader With Michelle Maldonado
"What makes them mindful leader. What what was what was it. You're doing so. I didn't go into as much detail with him as i will here because i think that there are there are qualities and we have lots of beautiful people. Like yourself in genesis. Toronto and i mean there's just so many people who speak on this and and do beautiful justice to it when i think about it. You know the first thing. I explained to him as you know how we show up matters and how we respond and treat other people matter and it can't just be focusing on the human doing part because we cannot even though we think we try to tell ourselves we can multitask. We can compartmentalize. We bring all of ourselves to whatever we are doing and that all of ourselves means are traumas are bias sees our our life experiences are joys are passionately. Bring all of it with us and we. We spend a lot of energy trying to manage containing parts of ourselves in these spaces. But i would always give permission for my team to be whoever they were and to feel that it was. They were safe if they made a mistake right. So there's a lot of conversations around psychological safety an Really holding people accountable but not in judgmental ways in conversations. A lotta people say hey you know. How do you have difficult conversations. And the first thing. I say i don't label it. As difficult conversations for sation because words matter and it starts to create a mindset as you enter into the dialogue and so as a mindful leader. You your best supporting yourself and others when you bring those elements into it and then you're also really aware and the way i think about awareness. I call like a mindful awareness. May think about it in context because everything happens in context whether you're sitting on the pillow or you're at a table at the office or on zoom room like we are today. Everything is happening in context in. So i describe it like three concentric circles with ourselves being right in the center the next one being others the third being the surrounding and all of that creating our ecosystems so that wearing awareness that we have has to travel through all those
Plane Flies Around Funnel Cloud in Western Oklahoma
"Have you seen this video. This is a twitter video of guy doing circles around a tornado. Yeah yeah. I don't know what to say about this. Well do to say about this. This is nuts. This is crazy. I don't know if there's audio must be audio. I've got the audio got mine. Turned down to you. I so i don't know whether he's like giving us some sort of casual narrative or whether he's screaming but he doesn't see his face and he doesn't seem to be panicked but And it's not a tornado it's it's a tornado. But it's vortex it gets a funnel spout right. It's modern dead. Look like it's hit the ground yet right integral but nevertheless if his wingtip touched that thing I gotta figure that he's he's a good two or three hundred yards from that that you think the airplane is is turning the relative speed etc. Yeah he's he's not. I mean he has no danger putting his wingtip in their danger from other things. But i don't think he's going to put his wingtip. Yeah every now. And then you see video of heller or weather traffic helicopter on at the edge of a city where there's a tornado in nearby and that always struck me as being crazy dangerous but Well yes i. I mean i. It's not something i would. I would do. This is a little bit over the over. The top yeah i mean what do you think would happen. So imagine he did get his wingtip into this. This funnel cloud it would roll him would roll that wingtip upward. I don't know is the quick answer. Is going to change the angle of attack of the way. Because that that that as i understand it that funnel cloud is an updraft. It's spiraling up is yes. And so if he got his wingtip into it it would raise that wing and might even roll him over. I don't know it's certainly could say it's going to change the angle of attack of the wing. If he flew the whole airplane in there probably be better

Food Addiction Is Solvable
"I'm excited to talk to you. Because we're going to a place where people are trying to lose the quarantine fifteen kind of eating. Whatever over the lockdown months and people's relationship with food right now is probably at a very pivotal moment. So one thing as someone who like. I've struggled both with weight. Probably most of my life and my relationship with food and i also struggled with the idea of food addiction as it feels impossible to be addicted to something that your body needs and you talk about this in your book hook. Yes so being addicted to food was a really good thing for most of our existence or forebears putting on body. Fat was a really good thing because in enabled our brains to grow and able to speak with your hard times and have more offspring which is kind of what life is all about right but the problem is the nature of our food was changed so dramatically by the food companies in the last fifty years. That suddenly what was really good for us became really problematic. How would you define addiction. And why food can be addictive despite us having to eat to live. I spent time with evolutionary biologists for this book because it was really kind of trying to figure out is is addiction. Really kind of the right word. And is it really fair to compare you. Twinkies and oreo cookies was cigarettes and alcohol and even some drugs and so spending time though with these biologists i came full circle. And now i'm convinced at anyway. Food products are even more problematic. There is some precedents to the food. Industry called the tobacco industry for decades. It vehemently denied that smoking was addictive. Writer put all scientists who work on added. It's it's it's lobbyists and it stops your officials in its cetera. Well in two thousand something really fascinating happened. Which is at philip. Morris completely flipped around and said okay. You've got us. Smoking is in fact addictive with throwing in the towel on that. What was so interesting about the for me. Is that philip. Morris at the time was also the single largest manufacturer of processed food through its purchase of the old company general foods and then craft and then nabisco which made oreo cookies and that's same year. The ceo of the company was asked to define addiction in some legal proceedings. His well
'American Marxism' Is as Readable as Can Be for All
"About? And again? The way I wrote this book is, I quote The original source. So people know I'm not making this stuff up. And then some of it can be a little bit complicated because they make it verbose and pedantic. And so the next paragraph, I'll explain what's being said. And so, um, I've tried to make it. As readable or listenable as possible. Some of this can be heavy stuff, so I have to unravel it. That's exactly what I do. And you're gonna know more than any single person on television. Any single person on radio. Any phony professor or expert they bring on you're going to be the expert. You are going to be the expert and you're going to run circles around anybody who challenges you. And then once you're convinced of that Then we move into the next The next mode. What are we going to do about this? And I want to thank you in this audience. Every one of these books I write at the end, I say Here's what I think we can and should do. That's because of you. That's because of the callers who call here and say, Well, what are we going to do about it? What are we going to do about? It's a perfectly legitimate questions. And sometimes I have a good answer, and sometimes I don't. But I spent a lot of time thinking about what are we going to do
Organ-on-a-Chip: Recent Breakthroughs and Future Prospects
"I'm kicking off the roundup today. With a story about organs on a chip. You know we just re Finished up our coverage of ice cr twenty twenty one so if you guys missed it i would recommend checking it out. We also have video episodes there so you can see us in all our glory but in that meeting there was a lot of talk about where we are and where we're going and a lot of that revolved around these kind of organs on a chip. Which i know ruin you're working on as ips cell derived Tissues organoids. Even but they're in a kind of complex chip type architecture allows a connection of different tissues and organs and see how they communicate with each other and it is the next wave I have a story here about the long. It's a kind of airway on a chip idea and you know it's basically idea. They didn't long In order to function you have clearance By airways cells eliminates the inhale pathogens and foreign matter. And that's done by these multi airway cells k. And it requires coordinated silly airy beating among cells. And if you have failure to properly orient the silly silly and coordinate that sillier a beating you get a lot of conditions like chronic bronchitis recurrent pneumonia This is implicated in various human diseases. Most notably a inherited disease Primary sillier disconnect. Which we're going to circle back to pc d- When it comes to like the ips in organoids world in trying to model This these multi steely aided airway cells. it's a challenge because getting the cells is not so much the problem as much as Using the conventional methods which is air liquide interface. It's hard to get the coordinated. Silia they don't they aren't coordinating their beating And it's thought that mechanical stress has a role in in coordinating sillier there but the existing system. Which is these in-vitro air liquid interface. They don't do a good job of addressing that are modeling The
How Much B12 Do Kids Need With Dietitians Alexandra Caspero and Whitney English
"Circling back on twelve since people are chopping at the bit. with what. what would you say than with b twelve when people are going. Oh my little kids in themselves. What would you say about on that from a general perspective because i also know that everyone's individual equality the where it's coming from the source that comes from etc that are at about twelve months of ages when we recommend that you start supplementing your child before. Then they're going to be getting all the beach while they need from either formula or for mom's breast milk provided that she supplemented enough breastfeeding moms. We recommend supplement with at least one hundred fifty micrograms a day again. That's to overcome the reduced. Absorption rate from supplement when. We're looking at b twelve. Absorption after about one to two milligrams you only absorb one to two percent the supplement. So if you're taking one or two you get about fifty percent of that and beyond it's only one to two so we have to take astronomical amounts to overcome that but however for children we although there is no research showing a toxic upper level for b. twelve we still don't wanna be giving them massive doses since there isn't tons and tons of research on that so we recommend a minimum dose of about five micrograms a day for for children and we don't have an upper level but we would stay somewhere around forty micrograms could be a good maximum amount. It's typical though because most of the supplements that are on the market in a liquid form for kids. Are these higher higher dose supplements but we do have a free supplement guide on our website and honor instagram. Lincoln are bio that you can download and it really dives into each nutrient until you exactly how much you need a why you need it. So parents can take a look at that. That's usually what's the what's the website link to some people. Have it right here right now. Plant-based junior dot com and also just quickly add to if you're listening if you've older kids to that number is going to be a little bit higher after about ten jumped up to about ten Micrograms twenty five micrograms from bear. And then for adults we think fifty micrograms as good a good dose amount like whitney said accounting for all of the absorption issues. That's awesome because that's always been a thing Spending a career trying to find nutrient dense foods around the world. I always love finding ones that. Have it within it. And i came across this raw food grade spirulina that comes to the house frozen. And all the tests on it all of the b. vitamins b twelve. All of that in food form phenomenal. So and that's an effect tastic food obviously to give the children easy to make up and mask any taste taste. Maybe mix it with some fruit and they won't even know and they're consuming One of the most nutrient dense foods in the

"We got a a product that we've been talking about on the podcast that I I think one of the best things Out there And so needed Dad this doesn't apply to your world but for the rest of us in computer land that have kids or grandkids and Mike as your great grandkids. So kids figure out quickly Usually through the Internet how to get into troubling things. Because there's a lot of trouble I was the only Internet. Utah met these APPS and we've talked about snapchat immaturity uh-huh Chernow mature enough. And you got an you have adults be out there praying as well so you you put that together you got that some disastrous things. There's other adults that are busy on their phone so busy. They're not paying attention with their kids are doing on their this right. So Oh There's there's some folks that have started the have a product called circle So it's got the ideas that we're going to draw a circle sort of around and your family and they've come up with a way to be able to manage filter. You know how much time your kids can be on the Internet when they can be on the Internet there's a lot a great features About this go circle home plus and so I was just in Up in North Carolina and they were putting circle on Zach our cousin and he's all it was so funny because while bins do going through the process you know he. I won't Watch watch to see what's fixing to happen in like like two minutes later. They all come running. I can't get what happened. I lost my. I mean everybody's like immediately it was something has happened there and it was like calm down. And here's what we're you do. It and then Zack. Explained to ask is what they were putting out so they were just doing this. The song love is like a circle. This is it is you know I have. I don't listen into radio singing this as like a kid. Song of like.

"That is preventing key members of his cabinet and administration from testifying is a farce. But because he can't win on the facts the only thing he can do is try to attack an undermine the process itself. I think he's losing that battle and I think there'll be a time where he will regret not defending himself and and my gut tells me this at this point because I've seen several statements from Republicans in the Senate. My Gut tells me that at this point. He is basically basically going to stonewall all efforts in the house and not participate in it and just take the l with the impeachment and then basically GonNa try to control the process in the Senate the trial in the Senate because they have the majority. I think they're gonNA be underhanded in manipulative initiative. I don't even think they're going to focus on the process of what Donald Trump has done. They're going to try to make that into excuse. My language a complete shit show on the Senate and he's going to try to win back public support there so while he's losing the process and the House will be impeached in the house. I think he's just holding out until until he gets that trial in the Senate. Today's episode of the breakdown is brought to you by circle. Circle is so amazing it gives me and my family so much peace of mind because it helps us manage our families online time across all of their connected devices inside and outside of the home with circle parents can filter what content is allowed. You can set limits for screen time you can monitor history and usage. You can even reward kids for good behavior and I love it because I tried to do this from their phones and their devices but I just figured out there too. Many phones loans too many devices to many ipads computers too many boxes on the television and video game systems. Listen you do anything for your kids do something easy that keep your family on the right path and get circle and right now our listeners get limited time offer thirty dollars off of circle home plus when you visit meet circle dot com slash break and enter break at checkout. You get thirty dollars off when you visit meet circle dot com slash break and enter break at checkout that's meet circle dot com slash break an inter break to save thirty dollars. I I love this company and want you to check them out at break when Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was first elected to the house. I knew that it was going to set a lot of people off and the thing is like like this is a sweet kind compassionate woman but I knew that her very humanity not only because she is a young black woman but because she is a young black Muslim woman A young black Muslim immigrant woman who was from a country on trump's banned list That she wears a hit job like I knew that these things that she was the first I he job a woman in Congress. I knew theoretically that it was going to disturb and set a lot of people off but to actually see it and see the threats that she is constantly under. You may have seen the news just a few weeks ago. A man was just sentenced to ten years in prison for threatening to kill Hill Congresswoman. Helen Omar and she wrote a beautiful painful public letter asking the judge to reduce the man sentence. I was deeply moved by her compassion because she believes so strongly in justice reform that even the man who got ten years in in prison for threatening to kill her she looked at it and said no that goes against my values. It's too much and yet we want to do everything we can to defend. Dan Protect her and I saw this week something that I had to do a double take on the Republican woman running against it'll haunt Omar. In Minnesota Danielle Stellar was just permanently banned from twitter for threatening to Lynch Ilhan Omar. Did you hear what I said. The Republican candidate who was running against congresswoman manhunt Omar Minnesota was just permanently banned from the largest social network for politicians for for threatening to lynch a congresswoman. I don't know if she's going to be criminally charged here with twitter clearly saw and said they had enough and this is the actual Republican running against her. And I say that it's a sign of the Times not because we've never seen such threats before in general because of course we have people have been not just threatening black folk with lynching but have actually been lynching black folks over a hundred years in this country. But I don't know Over the past hundred years that we've ever seen a congressional candidate threaten lynching from a Republican running for Congress that we've ever seen them threaten a sitting congressperson like this and while I'm glad that twitter has now band this. This woman Danielle Stella from from twitter. She's still on other social networks and what I find is that when people are not held fully accountable for their actions like is this woman still going to be the Republican nominee like. Is that what we're really dealing with. And those threats emanated from a viral lie that is being told about congresswoman Ilhan Omar across the Internet that she is basically a plant a mole from a foreign government again uttering bring her making her anything other than an American citizen which she as and and just trying to make her out to be in essence a a secret terrorist but because conservative media outlets not only shared. These lies themselves but amplified them all over social media It causes people who are not saying or stable it causes them to act out so all of a sudden you see congressional oh candidate now threatening lynching and I'm deeply disturbed by now. I want to close with one final story today and then I'll be back for some parting words right foot. I have to admit that I follow Allo everything about the current presidential race I follow it religiously and of course you all know that I'm a huge supporter of Bernie Sanders. I don't use this podcast to promote Bernie or his campaign. I in great part not just because I want you to keep listening but I don't think it's the best use of this show. Their other their other shows and podcasts and TV shows that do that I do think we need more progressive outlets that talk just openly and honestly about the presidential race but today I just wanted to give a couple of thoughts on two particular people that are running running before that I did see that a few people dropped out this week. I was like hold on. They were still running and and It just made me feel like there's there's gotta be a better way to get a hold of this process that we had that many people bull running so much so that there are people dropping out and we're like I actually didn't know that that person was a legitimate candidate running for office but I am. I am really disturbed by one candidate and deeply concerned by another. I am disturbed by Michael Bloomberg one. I'm I'm weirded out that. He's now calling himself Mike Bloomberg he's been Michael Bloomberg his entire life the entire time he was mayor he was never Mike Bloomberg. I think he didn't have Michael Bloomberg reserved across social media and so they found a way to get Mike Bloomberg. But it's weird that In his late seventies he just changed his name. That's not that what I'm disturbed about. I'm disturbed at at probably three things about his candidacy of first and foremost. He's just just trying to buy his way into office and it is deeply problematic that he has basically announced that he's not even going to participate in the first four states dates. He may even.

"Have countenanced. Any effort to encourage the Ukrainians Unions to engage in such conduct. I appreciate also that you were able. To debunk I hope for the last time. The idea that Joe Biden did something wrong when he accords with. US policy sought to replace a corrupt prosecutor. Something that not only the. US State Department wanted not only the European Union wanted and not only the IMF wanted but was the consensus position of the United States national security infrastructure. You didn't get a lot of questions about that today. As other witnesses did because I think you effectively said that was all nonsense. We appreciate your candor about that Marcin. I think what is most remarkable about your testimony is the acknowledgement that immediately. After the vice president met with presence. Alinsky in Warsaw. You witnessed Gordon Sunland meeting with Andre Earmark top advisor to presidents presents Alinsky and then immediately thereafter Sauna told you he had informed the Ukrainians that if they wanted that four hundred million in military aid they were going to have to do those investigations that the president wanted. And you were later informed and this is also significant as you've testified here today that the ambassador song and had a subsequent conversation with President Trump and informed you that it wasn't going to be enough for the Ukrainian Prosecutor General Zero to announce the investigations. The president wanted presidents. Alinsky had to do it himself if he wanted to get that a let alone the meeting in the White House now you've been asked to a pine on the meaning of the term bribery. Although you weren't asked to pine on the meeting of the terms high crimes and misdemeanors but bribery burry for those watching at home is the conditioning of official acts in exchange for something of personal value official. Oh acts we're talking about here. Are White House meeting. The president's Alinsky desperately sought and as you have acknowledged ambassador. Volker was deeply important to this country at war with Russia to show the United States. Had this new president's back that meeting was important important. That meeting is an official act. The military assistance is even more significant because Ukrainians are dying thing every day in their war with Russia and so the withholding a military assistance to get these investigations which you now have acknowledged master. Volcker was wrong for the president to request the idea of withholding that military aid to get these political investigations should be anathema to repugnant. To every American because it means the sacrifice not just of Ukrainian national security but American national so security for the interest of the president personally and politically republican colleagues all. They seem to be upset about out with this is not that. The president sought an investigation of his political rival not that he withheld a White House meeting and four hundred million dollars in aid. We all passed on a bipartisan partisan basis to pressure Ukraine to those investigations. Their objection is he got caught. There objection is that someone blew the whistle and they would would like this whistleblower identified and the president wants US whistleblower punished. That's their objection. Not that the president gauged in this conduct but then he got caught their defenses. Well we end up releasing the guess after he got caught. That doesn't make this any less odious. Oh yes Americans may be watching this and asking. Why should the United States care about Ukraine? Why should we care about Ukraine? And this was the import I think of the conversation. The now infamous conversation that Kiev restaurant with Gordon saw on holding the phone away from his head because the president was talking talking so loud. What is the president asking that? Call the day after the now infamous Dolinsky. What is he asking that cell phone call not not whether the rata had passed new anti corruption reform? Now they're gonNA do the investigation meaning into by UH and silence. Answer is they're going to do it. They'll do essentially anything the president wants. But what's more telling is the conversation. I think that Song Song has with the Foreign Service officer homes afterwards in which the President says basically Donald Trump doesn't give a expletive tip about Ukraine. He cares about the big things. and Mr Home says well Ukraine's at war with the Russians. That's kind of a big thing and and silence answer is no doubt he cares about big things that affect his personal interests. This is why Americans should care about this. Americans should care about what happens to our allies. Were dying but Americans should care about their own national security and and their own president and their own constitution and they will need to ask themselves as we will have to ask ourselves in Congress. Are we prepared to accept that. A President I'd States can leverage official acts military assistance White House meetings to get an investigation of a political rival rival. We prepared to say well you know I guess that's just what we should expect it to present the United States. I don't think we want to go there there. I don't think our founding fathers would have wanted us to go there indeed. I think when the founding fathers provided a remedy that remedy being impeachment they had the very concerned that the United States may betray the national security interests of the country for personal interests. They put that remedy in the constitution. Not because they wanted to Willy Nilly overturn elections no because they wanted a powerful anti-corruption eruption mechanism when that corruption came from the highest office in the land marriage earned I'll be right back with today's action steps but I I wanNa tell you about a program called circle. It's the most amazing effective secure way for my family to manage and monitor and limit the internet usage in our house. And here's the thing and I found I got on the Internet on the WIFI system. It's still a slaughterhouse ironic is this the same sand that we've been talking about we slaughter on children's thanks Sam we've been talking about that's in the news these last two weeks about Syria and you know trump pulled the troops out sure people are unhappy we were supporting the Kurds which were not that's the same sand they were reading about in his old tessler there was a lot of war there was a lot of war go league ehrich now but God set this emotion with the idea that he would become one of us and be slaughtered for us now we ten the thing that all happen before Jesus but it actually that was his plan all along because God is not like us where he's waiting or traveling gene so he knew the whole reason that we have a physical body in this spiritual world that we came from in our citizenship is in heaven is so that he could become a human being and be killed so that we can all be saved he became flesh so that he could die and the and the murder can changes but in this case the murder of the son of God Jesus Saves the world and saves all the bad events that we read about in the story while store so let me catch me catch everybody up in by the way I appreciate everybody and we're bringing a lot of good feedback from you guys that are listening and watching about how much you've enjoyed sore the biblical narrative that we've taken on the podcast and that's what we love doing the last time we talked sort of are we kind of follow and central fee figures in the Old Testament and Sorta tell their stories but then how it all has kind of woven together as we talked about this morning the Latte we left off with basically God's people being formed as a nation at the foot amount Saana and we talked about a lot of fear there there was a lot of events as we are dollar tree because which would be a shadow of those in Jesus right thousands of years later becoming I think it repeater that says the computer where the holy nation right of God rush was the shadow that God the living also God could actually live with people in an intimate way in a in a priest priest as a nation a city you know there's different way still the rest of the book of Exodus Deuteronomy is there Leviticus is basically the setting up of God's nation you here's your what you just said here's your priestly responsibilities here here's the law here's a nation just like ours was a pattern to come the reality hasn't yet come yet so you had your ten majors kind of what we would call our bill of rights you know the ten major things the law would you know astill we look at we've talked quite a bit about a lot of great principles and then there was all these underpinnings of laws food laws and all these different things that were laid out so got it always plan on taking those people and then they were going to live in a place that he had promised Abraham about several hundred years earlier Rene Abraham was called out he said looking about four hundred years this lands GonNa be given to your descendant so we're kind of foul in that narrative is ab problem was the people were so faithless and kept wanting to go back under slavery back to Egypt the Gods said okay one whole generation you don't you don't get to go so everybody that came out that the initial generation you don't go so they stayed out there for forty years so that whole route that out that's that's about hard headed it's harsh but the same time was like you're not going in because you don't have faith in kind of takes the next step to today I was reading that last night you know when they said he'd been wandering forty years I forgot where I was exactly what it was like all the men of the military age they just died during that that wondering and so all the kids that had been born well known 'em had been circles size and so he he's made them be circum had a mass circumstances well I thought more glad I wasn't in that camp out think about it John is yeah hey just get him up here so we we've had discussions before owner podcast about the Internet that being a not really internet gaffe although he's been offered mile laying right but Jay some interesting points that you know our kids are out here especially our children and we you've been very open about some of the struggles with teenage kids got a teenage grandkids immaturity thank you know they're out mature to Halas to too much access at an early in the problem is they know more than we do you know Jason Better studied than me but I I'm well because I have a sixteen year old so my grandma ever said is that I don't use those devices I'm just setting an example to prove you can function without it you sure even that modern Minnesota you have you say not now you don't have to that's right but I would say if you do have it be careful on how you so so kids have all these distractions you got snapchat instagram.
