More defined or a little different or better. Your beer definitely looks define like it looks like is it lined up what you say lined up I can deadlines vary like. Shave it. You know like. Yeah but what do you think the color the color? So I have to don't tell anybody please. But I died I, died it the other night because I have gray around the Chin other grays good. It's hot I. Don't think it is I thought. So for a while until I tried just for men, which is a paintbrush and you put it on for like seven minutes. Let it sit. Then your then you take your please don't tell anyone then you take your fingers. And you rub it in but honestly. Modern. Men Do this. I didn't talk about it but they do it. You know what I mean. My friend admitted to it because I'm so glad that you're talking about it because that's that's good that you're talking about it. Now more men will feel like, cool. Yeah my trouble, my hair. "chin chin chin" Discussed on Let's Start A Cult
"And does that recently he was going to do this last year? Yeah. Wow. So at this point, I'm wondering how do you stand out from that? I think the way things is that newer or like cuz this was back in the eighties, right? Which maybe this anime is their new cult their new new new cult Chin Chin Chin Chin Chin Chin is obviously, there's actually little known about if you cannot go as life before he declared himself to be what his followers called his Holiness regardless of what his earlier life may have looked like one thing was clear Hogan fukunaga wage. Anything for money? Oh Hogan fukunaga would do anything for money. I left that on a weird octave. So you can all go began preaching his Newfound Holiness to anyone who would listen and he quickly gained a small but devoted following of people who truly believed that the indented electrician was The Reincarnation of Christ. So he's actually convincing people somehow that he is Jesus has good hair long. He has great hair. That's true. But Jesus didn't cut his hair. So wow New World Jesus, you can Ogle had the confidence and Charisma too real and followers with his preaching but if he really wanted money, he needed a larger flock while he was captivating speakers. You can August writing skills were nothing extraordinary in order to spread his word farther and in his effectively as possible. He did one a great pop star of our time did he hired an array of ghostwriters pain a series of text that would be distributed to anyone and everyone fukunaga could reach and this was his text his sacred texts. Yeah. He actually found Almost 70 texts and they were all radical and attention-grabbing. So and when we say he it's his Ghost Riders exactly. Yeah, probably with ideas from him. He'll probably just say stuff and they'll probably thought they would probably just take that idea and run with it. Basically. All right, cuz I was a little curious how can you publish texts and not know what they say and that doesn't sound like it lends itself to anything good. Yeah. It doesn't sound like a great strategy. You know what I mean? Like cuz then you gotta play to that base and you don't know exactly what it's saying. So yeah Drake gets away with it right gets away with it to ya Lounge music. I don't know can't complain and Drake's got a big cult. I was Degrassi fans think any of the writers ghostwriters the same just Freelancers, right? They write for this month before Drake. Oh you you're asking if they were the same as Japanese ghostwriters for this guy. Yeah, I would imagine they'd be different in a different language. So maybe they're good if you're dead. You're good. That's true. You know what do people in power and you both writers. They go to the one guy. Yeah, I don't hate it. I'm here seven years after his spiritual enlightenment. You can officially founded home honest and Pogo which roughly translates to teaching of the flower certified the group as a legal religious sect to gain credibility and it's here the part of every great cult story where the leader begins grifting last episode. It was selling monkeys in this episode. It's reading feet. That's right. It's fortune-telling was he basically convince people of his Christ like Powers by Perfect foot reading rituals that promise to reveal person's health fortune and future. I don't want anybody touching my feet. I had never heard of foot reading before this as a brilliant young that's next level. Like if you already believe that someone can read your hand. Why can't they read your feet? That's true. Yeah. A lot of people say they can read your hands. So it's kind of diluted, you know, you're competing with a lot of dead. You got stand out if you're the only foot reader. I mean, you're you got that whole Market already made for you. Now. Do you think is ghostwriters came up with this idea? I don't know who came up with the idea. But that is a Stan long as I you know, explain chest and I was playing checkers is reading hands. So I'm assuming this is the bottom of the foot if that's the part that has more wrinkles. You know, what it didn't say I had I didn't do research into Iraq should have I think what I picture it says wrinkles. Could you read an elbow maybe or head you could do for him. I got a surprise. I will tell your fortune. Yeah. Yeah pretend like you saw a ghost. I will tell you if that's your ancestor or something. Yeah, so it is definitely a weird way to capture everyone but he definitely does it and he Jesus Paid feet right? I mean, let me wash your feet. That is true. He did I'm seeing the connection. I don't know what Buddha did so I can't we don't know what Buddha did know it's although they never wear shoes. So yep. Her feet to read. Yeah, exactly more scars on the feed to read. Yes. If you can Ogle was able to rope people in the first place by promising family and business counseling is service is granted to help followers me through any hardship. They might be facing you drew in the most vulnerable members of this community who had money to spend were largely Housewives down-on-their-luck who would do and buy anything that offered even a semblance of Hope targeting a lot of Housewives to get their money and their families money. Basically, I guess they don't maybe have this type of Internet Savvy and stuff at this point what we're still in nineteen fifties, right? Yeah seven years later. So it's approximately it's late eighties early. Okay? Yeah lady. Let's say your ladies know given that's the guys name. I feel like you should be able nowadays to like look this up like, oh was tech savvy Guy? What's he done? Oh, he's $70,000 in debt with an unsuccessful electrician business. Apparently well by now. He's not in debt cuz he's charging people read them. Be attached there is so weird foot fetish. Oh do we have a cost on that? There was no cost on quite how how early on how much they charged. There are more prices later on other things he charges. I also don't know how much it cost to have your hands read either. So it's hard for me to compare that either way. I can give you a bit of a spoiler. It's way more than you would pay for someone to read your got it plugged in. Well, definitely more than a haircut by the time his cult was at its peak in the mid-nineties. You can all go ahead finally accumulated the immense wealth. He had dreamed of for so long just in $5,000 suits and I made Italian shoes the money-hungry scam artist built an enormous headquarters in Mount Fuji hosting a golden fountain in Tokyo and other branch of the booming group had offices in upper class neighborhoods adjacent to manners mansions and embassies. You can August wife supposedly spent six thousand to seven thousand a month on shopping trips according to cult members with exclusive access to the family. You can Ogle clearly was a mass. The art of fraud so he's doing pretty well for himself his wife's and in more than I make in a couple of months. But yeah, she's living her best life and so is home right now. Wow, just out of curiosity. Is this a wife before he became Buddha Christ or after I believe? Yeah, they were married before all of this. So she's been along for the ride the whole way and really she's probably loving her right now. Okay, as if you cannot continue to grow richer his foot reading cult became increasingly more threatening to its devout followers and more expensive kanaga, like many who value money over anything else constantly yearn for more. They were never enough followers Never Enough recruits never enough staff members and there was certainly never enough money. You can Ogle was led by a range is greed that sought to drain its followers of every dime in their shallow Pockets because you know, once you get a little bit of money, you want more and more and more and then next thing, you know, you're Jeff Bezos. I think you just fine tune to suck. Are better at a foot reading and your own the service. I think you'd get charged more. Do you think he's writing his own stuff by now know he doesn't need to know he'd never learned how to do that hate for the best goaltenders at this point. Exactly. Well, that's probably true. Yeah, definitely actually the next part gets into your foot reading prices. So it's quite a hurry cools every new recruit began with a foot reading these things were nothing like the standard palm reading as you might pay $20 for at a Halloween festival. These readings were performed by The Reincarnation of Jesus Christ himself don't you know, they were exclusive and expensive at nine hundred thousand American dollars American dollars. Yep. Wow, so that's I can't do the math, but it's a lot of you or whatever so exclusive.

"He hadn't played fete the team we had I, didn't think our team was smart enough. You know I'm like. Well, we don't have a Chris Webber and of Lottie Divas. And might maybe we don't have that group we don't have a Jason Kidd we don't. We don't carry. We don't have that we're young. We don't that's an that's grown as adults that understand the veterans to we don't have that. So I remember we go into the he takes me to the nets playoff game. Right into the playoff game and we're watching Jason Kidd. And he says I want you to watch veteran. You gotTA remember in my mind I know Jason Kit that can get buckets like me. So. What am I watching here? So I'm sitting here. What I'm watching is. Deception. What is he trying to do? All right he's calling his play. Where's he going? So I'm just following I'm just following him. Now, I'm following him to see what I would do. Because we had the same playbook. We have the same playbook. But I'm a score. He's a passer so he's looking at it from a passing standpoint I need to look at from scorn standpoint so I'm watching. Dow, he's planning allowed out of reversed at one. Okay. He got an a post. He made the pass. Okay. That was a nice passed. So, coach said are now take the playbook. I think since what I was doing so take the playbook see at the beginning of the two weeks before the season so I can see what you done altered. So he gave me his playbook and say alternate. So I'm sitting here we got one four drop. So he play call one down where. Is Chinn Down Chin Chin-chin. So come off post up boom. Then I said a new move new plays, Chin reverse. You know boom and he was he overplays boom back this way bone Jena verse fours out reverse. So we're in. I was like well, you know because we like to drive me and Larry. Whenever, we drive someone's cutting. So we had to lift. We Got Antoine. We lifted at four men. Opened up, the floor. So then we go from struggling to like clockwork. Spin back door overeat he says, Hey, listen I don't care. If was the night let him deny Gore hand off he can't he can't guard and all. He has. He. Got It all but because Eddie was in tune with his players to understand how do you like it. All right. Let me see if that fits inside this playbook because I'm not changing a plate for you. You know I need to make it work for everyone else. So we got to really change in alter. Our movements inside of his his foundation. You know, and that's the that's the most important part that would coaches coaches assistant coaches on every level because I don't get what level you think you're on you're not as smart as you think. The players have make you smarter because the players you how are so gifted that makes your place call easies. Yeah. You know what I mean. So it's one of those things where you need to sit there and try to figure out in update. You gotTA update adjust you know it's all about just adjust on how they're playing. You know how to move this guy around okay. He's Lazy on defense are we going to do is since he's the help and he keeps stopping his pass I need you PJ back door two times. Back just back dorm. So now when I, when when this person James Harden drives it his left, he's GonNa. He's going to be turning his head and that that little turn stops them from reaching into James Harden's yeah. Just little things like that and I think you. So crazy that you said that man and I and I smile right away because. That part of the game now brings me so much joy. Just, a chess match just as just like. Just trying to like, okay, that's what you're doing. Okay. Hey like just running a whole bunch of phony action on one side. Right. I. Laugh. When my young kids, you know my lease I won't be feeling the same like I don't move like that. You know. But I wish I thought like this when I moved like that. I would've been the difference you know and. Just be out there playing with him kids, I tell my young guys, guys, play Division One basketball. I'd be like I'M GONNA be out from the side today I'm GonNa take the four do is GonNa listen to me you ain't get no winston it. We'll talk about that swab this Yang you know Winston them a look and Gorman this boom boom boom we will double him every time never tried to pass and like they'd be like, oh, Bro, really get no wins I told Ya like I'm GonNa win from and then they'd be you're playing one on one. I'm. Favorite. Warns there are like look man, it's a five oh five game but. lost. Funny because I remember Mike I Watch my back in days I remember Mike said. Like I talk trash to people because. They. Don't know would game I'm playing so they start playing a game they think I want them to play. So now I'm talking to you and now you like what yeah, I'm a force him to go one on one be ready to help this. Is doing stupidest. Man. The next one. For T womb now we run down on the other side you thinking I'm GonNa do the same thing now? Hey, passer. Likes. So he's just playing a whole different game ship plane and that's the part of the game I started really fall in love just just understanding of like space in..

There's only a few things that have really have our interests as faras. Real negative or negative in the market. Well, we already know the areas to avoid. You have to repeat them. There's still no juice. In the energy stocks. Airlines cruise lines. Hotels game there's trades in them. They still have not What we call have a major trend to the upside Even Maybe you could call it a little bit of a minor. Financials continue to be an utter disappointment. We just want to mention to you. There were certain things we watched very closely number one of the semiconductor. On one end today, you had advanced micro devices break out of another range. With some decent volume. On the other and the name. We just watched closely. Lam Research now below the 15 day moving average, basically for three days, not a good thing, not a good sight. Carradine, another one. When you probably never heard of ultra clean holdings, you see Titi, another one. S M L holdings hanging on by the hair of its chin Chin chin. It's not racist. Is it now? Like from the cartoon. So just letting you know that some distribution in some names of the semis. But the Sox still look fine. That's the semiconductor index and I can promise you there's no way the market gets destroyed if the semiconductors Are hanging in there. Simple as that. Now. I did not see any news on the virus today, too. Put these areas that are virus related. In fact, the CDC the Centers for Disease Control, which I now believe is an arm of the White House. Which is a cesspool. Came out and said 90 some what percent of people with the virus who died died of something else. The virus heard it. But they already had something. Interesting how that number's coming out close to an election. I trust him as far as I can throw him. That's what I feel. Then, on the other end today. Joe Biden, the Portland mayor. Are out, blaming Trump for the violence, really? Trump made these criminals go out. He made them. He forced them. To go out destroy cities. Maim. People hurt people injured people kill people. Threaten people. Including elderly Trump did that. Ladies and gentlemen, when you are miserable failures You put it on somebody else. Portland mayor I wouldn't let him there. My God daughter's lemonade stand District attorney there sucks And that's how you get what you're getting. It has nothing to do with Trump. He's a criminal's. You give excuses the criminals you blame somebody. Criminal activity. Are you smoking crack? Trump said something bad, So I'm gonna beat the crap out of somebody. I'm gonna shoot somebody else. So I'm gonna go into that Gucci store and steal 10 grand worth of pocketbooks from my girlfriend because Trump made me do it. I can't stand the guy. But I never see more bull crapping spewed by all sides. I weep for us. On whoever's running the joint starting next year. Because I think they're all miseries. Bite it now coming out. I opened against violence the whole time. Hasn't said squat. They had four days of a convention. Don't even mention it. You know why they're out there today? Oh, my poll numbers. Go in the wrong way. You realize these people They only moved because of money in polls. You realise that that's what we're dealing with, and that's how we ended up with 25 trillion of debt before the pandemic. That's how you end up with Trump. Who, by the way, I have to verify every word, he says. The latest lie was that they they had called the person who was shot up seven times by cops and Kenosha. Gotta back that one away Well,.

Is also the other side, and that's why it's so important to file price. I just want to bring up one. So there are a few outfits out there that are famous for and this is not indictment. We're just making a statement. Are very famous for coming out and calling Cos on the carpet. That they're frauds. This one's of fraud. That one's a fraud. This one did this. This one did that. And I must tell you, I'm not gonna name which ones They've been right quite often, but they've been wrong. Also. Recently, there was one of them came out with this report on a company called G S S. G s X Technologies. It is a China based company that provides online kindergarten through 12 classes, and this company put out a report that it's a magnificent, gargantuan fraud. That their numbers are all bullcrap. Of course, there was one that was at a China luck and coffee lk, which I can't even get up on my screen anymore. But just because one is bad doesn't mean the next one's bad anyway. Just letting you know that I believe the report came out when Gsx the stock was 40 bucks and the stock dropped the 30 And as I looked at the company's numbers last 4/4 sales you ready for this? 51 million? 78 million quarter to quarter 134,000,183 million. That's quarter to quarter Amazing numbers. I'm very careful myself about buying what I call Chinese cos I don't know. Second Ali Baba, I do know. I just want to let you know. The stock broke out four weeks ago on heavy volume. Average daily volume was like 5,000,027 million beautiful breakout around that 43 area. And it hits my screen. And what I say is, Oh, that's that gsx crap. I'm not buying it. It's 83 43 to 83 because the Chinese 80 yards have gotten very hot recently. Whatever the reason. Follow price. It's the best thing I can tell you. I wouldn't have bought it anyhow. Notwithstanding that report. Pecked report certainly didn't help me to buy it. And it still may be a fraud. For all I know Luckett Coffee was flying before the news came out. Oh, I'm just stating is the lesson on the other side. We give lessons each way. Stocks a skyrocketing It's big numbers. If those numbers are true, it's unbelievable. And if it is a fraud will eventually find out. That's a given. Frauds are always eventually found out. Sometimes it takes a long time. Sometimes it doesn't anyway. Just wanted to let you know the market wrap is brought to you by investment dash models dot com Next Jim Moore back one of the great market timers. No gray areas with the man you're either in or out of the market is proprietary and the cages go check it out. Investment dash models dot com Dow is now down 3 50 The NASDAQ still up seven. NASDAQ one hundred's up 32 of course, Amazons up 40. We'll just start with that apples up. Microsoft's up. So these are the bigger names. Costco is up nine bucks and that's kind of a name in the NASDAQ. Tesla's up 10. In the Dow ups bowing down six and you know again with don't know, And we know we've heard supposed good news on Boeing, and they were doing testing in this, that the other thing, you know, just You know the news today Ready for this is and this just came out of nowhere on Boeing. Let's see. Is an F a inquiry. Literally Aviation administration, right? For alleged pressure. On inspectors that are inspecting the 7 37 max. Well, that's not good. Anyway. That's not helping the stock and just everything in the Dow is is red. Except for Apple, Microsoft Cisco, which is Tech and Wal Mart, up another two and 3/4 off of the thing they potentially announced yesterday about going after Amazon. Everything else is red. And May I add Goldman Sachs down almost six John A. J. P. Morgan Down to American Express Down 2.5 the financials act like crap. Wow and man As I told you that GP Morgan broke out of the range about four weeks ago went from 101 15 and boom back to 103 days on a gap. And dead ever since. Energy stocks just rolling over badly. Oh, I H breaking below the 50 day moving average out of the bearish wedge today. That's not good. Ex Ellie already did that a couple of days ago. Those at a big oil's The soapy those of the explorers doing the same. It's not good. The small craps. I called the small crafts now just continued on the performance. May I say the Russell 2000 touched the 50 day moving average earlier today and is just holding on by its chin chin chin. I can say Trini tension, right? That's not racist. That's not about anything, right? Just making sure I want to be accused of anything. By the way, That's not a joke, and it's not sarcasm. Every one of us on radio and TV have to watch every word that we say. Now. Let's teach mention, um Famous phrase from the three little pigs. Okay, I think I'm good. The hair of your chinny chin, Not by the hair of my chin, each engine. Okay, So it's a It's a nursery rhyme or something. Okay? I'm good. By the way, I'm not kidding. I watch everything I say. And if I think it has just a little bit, I don't say it. Anyway, that's a little whatever on the markets today and again, I am utterly amazed that it continues up.

"Radio hall of fame here's Rhonda what a weekend in terms of sports not the best for people in the bay area and we certainly not for raiders Niners or giants fans start off with the latter Madison Bumgarner gun a lot of people wouldn't expect of the home my god it's day of mourning Ron here in the bay it was weird is I think intellectually we knew at the trade deadline there's a real chance they're gonna trade him and then we all thought maybe you would go somewhere for a big contract with the giants and want to pay but when it turns out that he left for the Arizona Diamondbacks for what wound up being a relatively affordable price five years eighty five million chances are stunned right now that the giants didn't pay that for him so there's a lot a shockwave going through the majority the fan base right now and that voice of course Brian Murphy Murph and mac KNBR always nice to give you an intro to see wrote that one in there too yeah it seems like in the giants they apparently they would even pay more but they wanted when your last Sunday a little bit yeah they offered him for years seventy million which is seventeen point five a year the Diamondbacks him five years eighty five which is seventy million were getting the **** now we're gonna hair splitting the water we don't know is where bomb that are truly wanted to be they didn't any Bagley the athletic as reported he has stated he loves there is only rides horses there he likes the tax situation but there's also report the chronicle that he and I don't have any inside info on this but that he would have stayed here had he gotten the same offer that airs on offer him we don't know fruits but she's departure played a role in it all we know is that the continued makeover of this team just continues to before it'll and bomb use the fan base some of them were still believe the far on is the genius who's going to make a winner real soon others saying why are all these things happening a manager who people are controversially upset about the Kevin pull our like a re signing a coaching staff assembled that has no experience and a Bumgarner walks out the door for a relatively affordable price there's a state of confusion I guess the only good news is it's only December things can change and of course as I see it it looks like a lock to win the series in twenty twenty seven will you and I'd be around to see it is the question I know some of the other issue that's the Niners I mean I feel like a genius I call the trap it was the most perfect trap that you could come up with the idea you three really tough intense games then you got to real tough ones coming up in right in the middle the Atlanta Falcons expected to be a little bit hi I. rusty or not even try quite as hard though it's tough to say that they wouldn't do it at least try to do is best but yet when we lost the game that I mean all in my mind is the game is over and then two seconds later the game is continuing on my god in like a muny coming down Broadway you could see it three not just the game against the saints it was so emotional but the game prior to that the Baltimore on aim of the game prior to that even though they rolled Green Bay was big emotional expenditure so you are absolutely right and why this friend was ten and a half I mean if you're smart you get on Atlanta there and pick that up but yeah they still almost won the darn game came down to this crazy goal line play where the ball they call it the brown crosses the white where the football can pass the invisible barrier of the front of the goal line on the final play the game which had to go down to a goal line review tragic ending to that is that the only good news is Ron is that it doesn't affect their ultimate pie in the sky dream which is they can still be the number one seed and still be home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs they just have to do what they had to do all along since they lost to Seattle they're going to have to go to Seattle and beat him in week seventeen yeah and the rams first than Seattle if they would both games in their and their lan and then they get that week off which they need because these injuries or become a real problem we saw yesterday the defense finally began to show the signs of the injuries yeah with the last such she only needed to sacrum once really and they couldn't kind of finish him off they're missing a couple other guys down the line and everybody knew Julio Jones is with their gone like I need like the nose of his Tunisian Chen or whatever the hair of his chin chin chin I can get my nursery rhymes right yeah I was listen there eleven and three I think they get a pass on this when they really do they clinched a playoff berth for the first time since twenty thirteen so have a parade for that and then go beat the rams and the Seahawks it's exactly what we want to be as forty Niners fan in the mix in late December two exciting Brian thanks for popping by happy to run Brian Murphy K. and B. R. for mac that's the Ron Owens report every weekday at eleven thirty again at three thirty and seven thirty I. G. G. O. A. tax Franklin show continues we're making it easier for you to listen at home simply saying KGO eight ten once again Franklin hello hello we were working on over there really really video of that Magic Johnson really yeah very touching here I'm not going to see sometimes I got a but we're talking about obviously this is an important week this is for the American people and and so many different ways and joined right now by however Harvard law professor and author Lawrence Lessig is a new book out called the they don't work represent us reclaiming our democracy and just for the the skinnies at the Commonwealth club tonight at six thirty are one of my favorite venues and also the internet archive headquarters never been there it's on Funston here in the city tomorrow at six PM I'll give you more information on that but you can always remember Commonwealth club go to the website and there's lots of stuff there a large six are being appreciated thank you so much for having me we are we are all kind of in and this this are unknown area of most Americans that have never experienced this kind of break down and and it's a breakdown on so many levels I don't know where to start but ultimately in and this is what I get I have read the book and I look forward to it but might might from reading a little bits and pieces the blamed ultimately lies at our feet it has to write yeah I mean there's two sides to it so one side the side that we're familiar with looks at the way the government has failed to represent us in all the ways it's one representative from the way we fund campaigns to gerrymandering to the electoral college to the way votes gets suppressed for the party that's not in power that that produces a Congress of obviously does not represent us but the second part of the book which I find much harder and I think maybe much more important is to recognize the way in which we don't represent us I'm you know we've developed this this sense that if we just take a poll of Americans I'm that's supposed to speak for us like we just quiz people ends once you quiz us then you know what the people want and but you know hi obviously most of us don't know much about many things and we're not good to be quizzed about many of these things and I think it's almost I'm we should be outraged that we get represented like that and and especially in this increasing the partisan polarized media environment where one part of us is watching you know MSNBC religiously and we have a view of the world formed by MSNBC on another part of this is watching fox news religiously and we have a view of the world informed by fox news is the problem is they're just two different worlds I'm worried about the people still watching Beavis and **** head no I'm serious there's people that I I guarantee you that the trump I think you're his anymore but when he was like the president if you ask them how many members of Congress were there in Kentucky five thirty five and and how important is that also my wife at that she goes I I did know right off the top of that and she's a walk issue sort is a lot of people now it's like how many STEMI things like that are out there Nikki talks about this in the citizens United and money and how that yeah until we change that I mean and that's why you know people like Bernie Sanders Elizabeth Warren while I do find them to be so progressive and so to the left that I worry that they will be able to get anything done because you need to be able to reach across the aisle and I feel like if either of them got into the presidency of the Republicans to shut down any idea they have I do have confidence that if they're in there they would actually really fight to try to take all this big money dark money out of politics because if you don't get the money out of it this is a matter of everything else right yeah that's exactly right I mean what's so exciting about the selection is that they're actually seven candidates in the democratic primary including three of the leading five who have committed to making fundamental reform of this democratic system the first thing they do if they're elected and the reason they're saying that is that they recognize to there's nothing that can happen I'm so long as we have money controlling system so you know you talk about a green energy group a climate change plan there's just no way that you're gonna get a climate change plan through Congress so long as the carbon monopoly continues to control the funding of campaigns talk about single payer health care there's no chance for single payer health care as long as you've got pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies and doctors funding political campaigns the only way you get real reform is by changing the system to make reform possible and so when you have presidential candidates actually for the first time in our history making Reforma number one issue that's a reason to be incredibly hopeful if at least we can get the press to talk about it and make Americans are aware of the fact that that's actually what's going on this for us but inertia is a nurse only changes when other forces act on it yeah okay and that's were stuck in right now we have this political inertia that that you mentioned you know it's worn and and centers can talk all they want but if they can't get the majority of the two houses to act and then assume that whatever it is they're doing will pass muster the Supreme Court because there are some of the things that you know I mean you can make a case that that Roberts was wrong in the six to three decision about the obamacare you know for some people it he they said it was a tax but normally with attacks again you know the you can you're paying it get to opt out of something so you get nothing from that I mean there's a lot of problems with obamacare and that regard that needed to be sold almost like religion I mean we you know Jefferson wanted to tear the constitution of every five years right I mean that's kind of like what we're at right now well I do think that on the Supreme Court is a danger here and it's become more disconnected two of the views of what would make democracy function and that's a real problem but I think the way around that is to talk about reform that there's no doubt the Supreme Court with a pulled so that you know if you want to talk about taking on citizens United directly that's dangerous because the Supreme Court is likely to defend their decision but you know this record is said again and again that you could use public funds to help elect a independence not bought Congress so one of the ideas that I'm you know and Yang has pushed when Kissinger Graham was in the campaign she had a much more bold version of this and Bernie Sanders is Justin braces something called democracy vouchers we say we're gonna give every single voter a certain amount of money in a democracy voucher and they can use that to help fund campaigns so we have a system right now we're members of Congress spend thirty to seventy percent of their time raising money but they're raising money from the tiniest fraction of one percent but if you give everybody democracy vouchers they wouldn't be raising money from the tiniest fraction of one percent they would try to raise money from everybody which means it would be dependent on everybody in if they were dependent on everybody they might actually want to represent everybody as opposed to worrying about representing this tiny fraction of one percent that change is completely constitutionally unproblematic the Supreme Court would have no problem with the cut with Congress doing that and if you did that.

"We're back thank you for staying with us today on retire financially fit with Phyllis generate Jack here alongside Phyllis axle venous she's founder and president of PSP and associates and today we're talking about the right questions to ask when you are going to the retirement planning process it we've been going through some of these it beneath the surface type questions they're all the service level questions we do want to go deeper than that but there is real value in some of those service level questions were asking Phyllis how much is this going to cost me how many how much would be paying in fees or the costs associated with working with you or investing in that there is value in that Phyllis and and we're talking about some of those questions to help us identify where money could be slipping through the cracks where we don't realize it absolutely and and that is very important let let me just give you a perfect example of something that we see I'm I'm thinking of this really sweet guy John who came in with with his wife Melanie a couple weeks ago and John had been working with his adviser for a long time and he really liked him and I understood they have a good relationship and when it got to how much he was paying for his fees he said well I know that that my adviser charges me one percent message one percent are you sure that that's exactly what it is and and yeah he said yup that's that's what I do I wouldn't it be right out yeah that's yep solicit hate is while we do the retire fit analysis you came for a second opinion would you mind if we do a free analysis that just double checks to make sure that we know all the fees that are going on he said no not at all where do you know that by the time right we actually ran a report not just my opinion we did Morning Star analysis of fee in Alice's they would pay in two and a quarter gosh it's way more than he thought he was he he he felt betrayed I could see it on his face so it's really really important and that's part of our entire fit analysis where are you now are you getting them another bang for your Buck now now he may have been fine with this two and a quarter for what he's gotten from from his relationship with this gentleman if he had known about it that would have been his decision then we could have made a well informed decision so you've got to ask that question you better get a real answer you better get a really insane if you're not sure you've gotten a really it's a come on in for the retirement analysis there's no obligation will run you that fee report okay you'll be able to see just about every fee that we can just that we can dig out of there but let's just break down some of the costs that you want to be on the look out for okay and again if anybody tells you that they're not getting paid run because we all can pay it it's just how much transfusion they should be people should be transparent about it and you get to decide are you getting the value for your Buck okay but let's let's look at some investments of like mutual funds and ETFs so ones like this they always have an operating expense called an expense ratio okay it's inside that boring prospectus all the fine and your advisers to bring that to the table you should know about that and if you've got actively managed mutual fund they call it actively manage on top of that they could be an adviser Faye like this this gentleman had a one percent advisory fee on top of the operating costs there were internal and this was a call twelve B. one fees and turn over costs that are not disclosed turnover because inside regular mutual funds are not disclosed till after they're already done so for example inside you mutual fund things are getting bought and sold all the time it is their bought sold the broker dealer gets paid everybody gets paid right but when the mutual when the prospectus comes out in the beginning of the year they don't know how many times throughout the year things going to be bought and sold so they don't disclose this class so it or how you how much it will be per time that doesn't tell you what the actual fees will be by the but later on after the fact after you've already gotten you know your tax bill and after everything's transpired you'll get what's called the supplemental prospectus after it's done that tells you how much it actually costs that's why I other than institutional mutual funds were entirely different type a category I could do a whole show on that with their just more transparent lean and mean then the ones that you buy over there you know the the ones like the American funds in your traditional mutual funds I'm not a big fan of mutual funds typically causes lots of what I call dirty little secrets come on in and we'll do a mutual fund the analysis and you'll see that so mutual funds and ETFs have internal costs in addition to what your adviser may justifiably want to charge and but you should be they should bring it to the table for you to understand and I want to understand the cheapest cheaper is not always the best okay you're going easy meaning my name with some some no load mutual funds and have no guidance and you don't know that you need to get income from that fun later on you know or if there's an emergency you need to take that money out it might be cheaper for you but if you have an emergency or you need more than that throwing off in the in in the growth you could be in a whole heap a trouble you'd be better off working with someone who really wants to help you build an income plan so don't get me wrong on that but when it comes to mutual funds and ETFs internal because sometimes front end load because fires re fees a new it is show on this the lady that you have and I'm not saying they're good bad or they're ugly but there's lots and lots of fees inside the different types of annuities and really you should have someone who will explain the pros and cons and strings attached so that you can make a well informed decision I should not be getting on the phone with you at that meeting for the music for the variable annuity that you have and you find out that you know this happens all the time I hate to say it that you have three times the cost that you thought that's just not right you may want that same vehicle but you should know the costs up front so very important that that somebody sharing all of this with you absolutely so Phyllis this is why sometimes someone looks at what here's here's what the market did here's what I should have gained why am I not seeing that with my accounts it could have something to do with some of those fees and costs that we don't realize are are going out on the backend yeah that that could definitely be part of the issue absolutely not necessarily the whole issue but that definitely could be part of it so I'm just going to put this out there when you begin a relationship chin chin chin chin chin chin chin chin "It's going to get a while for him to get some confidence in his arm in game back some on streets, and he hasn't played four quarters of football. He's played bits and pieces in the preseason. Now you've got four quarter game, but guess a substantial defense team that's relatively well coached. Obviously, you've got Andy, Dalton, Joe mixing. One of the top fantasy player picks this year mixing first Cincinnati. You've got some offense of weapons that they're gonna have to trace some punches on the scoreboard in this game, Cincinnati is the only way to look. I gotta be laying points with Indianapolis, even at home unless it's against a real bad team and the numbers below three which is here. But in this scenario and till every lot get settled in a little bit more and they get some offense, chemistry going against defense, not as good as this. It's Cincinnati's the only way to look. In this game. One more game to touch on here, and this one's going to have a significant betting handle as every Sunday night football game does Chicago and Green Bay Green Bay seven and a half point favorite here. Obviously, we touched on the teaser outfit opportunities for this game. Chicago with Khalil Mack in the mix, new coaching staff list on the offensive side of things. Mitch, Trubisky going up against this Green Bay defence. Any other thoughts on this game? Tony. Aside from the the teaser angle for the Packers. Well. Probably not. I'm not. I'm not laying seven, seven and a half. I'm not gonna do it and not wait. Maybe there's a couple of games out there. You might wanna late six or seven in, you know, on something, serious mismatch is here. There's not a lot of mismatches here only mismatch releases series. Adam seventeen and three up fifteen and five against the spread for Green Bay in this series and this series dates back to, you know. I don't know how long since the beginning of the NFL here, but you don't have to ended the day. You know, I think that, you know Cleo, Matt great player, but he hasn't worked out with this team has been in a good scenario with this team. You can't just plot up to meal, Matt. They'll maybe a Luzi cly that Mike single Perry, you know, Ray Lewis, any kind of stud linebacker that was picked up and free agency over the years or this year, whatever, and plug them into a system free days later and expecting them to have Jim packed on the game until they figure out what their defensive schemes are, this, that and the other. So I don't know how big of an impact is going to have on this game, but this is going to be a limit your bad for one side out Vegas. The only way I would do this game, I think Chicago will get them ballgame. I don't think this is going to be some whitewash with Aaron Rodgers and company. I really don't. Then he's a good coat. He's gonna throw. Some wrinkles in their offense to Gus good players. They got a great running backs the carry over from last year for each got a year under his belt. This is gonna in. So you have seen the playbook on the defensive side of the ball when you're trying to skiing four ugly given you haven't really seen their offense yet. Now he's gonna put stuff in there. He's Andy Reid, disciples. We all know at the end of the day here he's an I'm bound. I wouldn't lay. I would only take it, but definitely would screen bay down. I get a free six point win here and I'm fairly confident they get three six point win here, but I'm also relatively confidence. Congo's give gonna give all they want. Tony, George professional number from docks sports. What do you guys got going on over there right now? Tony? Well, we got obviously major league baseball, which years Amanda here plus one hundred twenty units. I reached one hundred twenty unit Mark. "You are, a member of Earls army this hour which is a twenty dollar a month donation, you can be an hourly drawing this hour for coach. BRUCE'S book a Buckeye, wisdom and it is an. Autographed copy in? Studio with me we have? Jeff. Logan former Buckeye great running back is? That, okay can I say. Former Buckeye great is that does that work for Dina well you'll have to work, I think I think it's a very nice Jeff's daughter Katie and also, Lynn Bruce is here as we, Lynn let's go back to the, beginning of this thing do you think your dad envisioned it, growing to this point do you think he had grander. Thoughts when when it started what. Was what was his thought. Process in terms of how far and how. Big the Earl Jean Bruce Alzheimer's research fund could go well he always thought big I mean, he always, thought, bigger than. I just I couldn't imagine sometimes he he had very, very great ideas he was very creative and, I'm sure he envisioned it even bigger he really did you got a good start, still relatively young fun I mean it's a decade or. So old so we've, we've made some strides and. We're doing some? Things Jeff and you've been? A. Big part of this Jeff Logan the? Last, few years but we. Can do Certainly a? Lot, more oh I think. We can, and you know like everybody has said that this disease. Really is, touched everybody we, know somebody whether. It's directly in your family or not and it's becoming more and. More the wariness. Is obviously better than it's ever been before and. Was it, a couple years ago Lynn that. You drove, your dad up to the Logan family foundation golf event, were Earl served as our honorary chair and I, gotta tell you I mean, he owned that room Owned, it it was unbelievable Nephew that's getting ready to go to college this weekend, to go play. Division one lacrosse. At Hartford awesome And he was I don't. Guess what maybe a sophomore in high school at the time in this kid was kind of thinking himself I'm all that and Earl kind of picked. Up on him and he was. Sitting right in front and Earl, had that finger going right at him and he was talking right adamant. I have never seen, this ginger headed kid be so intimidated and moved in all my life was unbelievable and when you say. How big did Earl want this to. Be? In terms of this thing Earl wanted to be a, cure if I mean forget about the money right he he figured the money would take care of itself and. That's our responsibility to continue to honor his legacy by, raising, as much money as as. We, possibly can. But I, remember your dad talking about it in saying dammit I wanna cure this disease yeah very passionate I mean that URL was passionate about. Everything Certainly this as well and, we would like you to be passionate as well one eight hundred six ten WTVN the numbers to call Matt. McCoy Jeff Logan Katie Logan and Lynn Bruce in here, right, now and Lynn I think. Back, to all. The stories, that people told about your dad At the memorial service in. April and they were all like a great and funny stories, but it all, came back to you know his passion for, whatever, it, may be in this case war talking about fighting Alzheimer's disease. But also as loveable Haya state and this university in this community and I. Remember many times talking? About. With him about this, and talking about how giving this community was and how. When he was coach there was. Refunds ability of course of course. To coach win football games but also to be involved in, the community with something like this he took that very seriously did he not know absolutely, he and I mean I think you talk about the, passion that he had it was, passion for, the people he had great passion for people and I think, when you see someone go, through this disease you become very passionate because it's such a devastating disease He yeah he definitely loved Ohio State loved the university and loved. All the people around it you know the former players and I didn't get a chance to play for coach Bruce my. Dad was a teammate of hurls back at Ohio State under Woody Hayes back in nineteen fifty finish one whatever, it was and and so I had I've always had the. Knowledge of who coach Bruce was but I. Never got to play for him in any way shape or form but what I've witnessed with his former players those guys that had, the great fortune of. Being able, to play for him here at Ohio, State the the way that they honor him I don't think it's. Any different than the way. Those of us that? Honored. Woody Hayes and the, experience we had there he was the perfect guy to. Come in and take over after. Coach as nobody else would have. Had the you know what's to do what Earl dead following, Woody Hayes we think about that now are no doubt And to do it in. In the way that he did it with the class that he did it now you it's kind of interesting because here. We are in a very difficult week for Ohio State University Ohio State football and all of the great coaches, that I've ever been at Ohio State have all been fired. Right I mean that's what happens Bruce Yup Coop tress Greg down the line urban may have escaped it by the by the you. Know? The skin, of his chin. Chin? Chin But still that football coach now tell you quick, story and it was really interesting coach Myron I played in. The Chick-fil-A golf tournament down in Atlanta for a number of. Years together and I remember this. Is probably four or five years ago we're sitting at lunch during the break between the nine holes it is being filmed for television and before we go. Back out on this on the second nine and I'm, sitting at a table a little bit in all of myself with this crowd but Frank beamer, was the head coach. At Virginia Tech and he was kind of holding, court and, sitting at that table was, urban, Meyer Nick saban The Clemson coach Dabo Sweeney Sweeney sitting there and Steve Spurrier right now I'm. At this I'm the odd. Man out, all right But. I'm listening Coach beamer says, to the, guys, he, says listen gentlemen Y'all. Better figure a way to get, out of, this, profession Because you're all. Going to, get fired we are all. Going to get fired I mean that's what he was saying and he's talking to urban. Insane and Spurrier and you and you start thinking about, that and the fact of the matter is in that profession The ability to go out on, your own, terms, it's a short list nice it is a short list of people that have the wherewithal to be able to go out on, their own terms I want to ask you'll in, real quick before we hit the brake. Along those lines.
