And those guys up front of the new offense and line cook, Frank Polich. I believe Can get him to where they need to be. They need to make some acquisitions not only to the trap, but maybe in free agency in short that offensive line and developed the guys, they have that. I think that's a key. So I feel good about who they have the weapons around them. Defensively, I feel pretty good of who they have. But, yeah, Joe Burroughs just just continues to impress and I wouldn't be surprised if he's ready to go by camp and just Don't kind of takes over and does what he was doing before he got hurt. Last year, The Hall of Fame or Anthony Moon goes with this year, you know, with Borough what stood out to me, actually watching him was just the poison the leadership he showed as a rookie. Uh, there there is just no phase of the box of that even looked like they were ready to play and the results were pretty obvious. Baltimore just absolutely humiliated, dominated whatever you want on that so I don't think there was from a fan's perspective. I don't think there was a lot in the 2020 last 21 season that you could really hands hope on. Besides, we have a professional franchise. And that's pretty much it. That's all you could say It was. It was a dismal year. You can't measure and say, Oh, they beat Pittsburgh. They beat the taxes and they won four games and call that a any celebration because it just didn't happen. S so at this point. Looking forward, there's going to be an effort. I guess in April or made the drafts going to take place. Summer camps Gonna open Hopefully, By September we had on Mike DeWine. How in the world you're basically saying that two top teams in the country has no defense. They do not play defense, so they're just gonna run up and down the field score touchdown after touchdown after touchdown, and the defense is just northern boy. So I think college football needs to really assess and bringing some or changing some rules that let the defense play again. Because it's absolutely ridiculous, because, as you stated, it's like they're going to score more points in a football game or predicted the score more points in a football game, then they're on a basketball game. So it's just getting talked about this at It kind of do the division six points for a touchdown. They're assuming there's gonna be more than 12 touchdown scored by both teams. That's three touchdowns per quarter. That's a touchdown. Whatever you every year, Four minutes is gonna be a touch down there. I can't conceive of a college game. You're betting over more than 12 touchdowns 12 touchdowns in the game, which is, which is basically more than three per quarter. It's not pot, it's almost impossible to score three touchdowns every quarter. Again. What? When you add one more bearable that these are the two top teams in the nation and they're predicting them basically to send out a memo until the defense is not to show up. If you're going to score 75 points in the game, and as you said, the number of touchdowns, But even they imagine nation it's a track meet. Is the football track me? They might as well Just call it Arena football because again no defense. I'm in offensive player, I think offensive. But Jesus Christ. I mean, you've got to make a competitive for the defense. He gave us excitement. But he didn't give us wins. You have to build around him in order to achieve those winds, and you know there's some factors that you have to have luck and lack of injuries on your on your side. What that means is when he listens to people. He adds to what they're saying. He doesn't a minus it he doesn't. Get Defensive. He doesn't give advice. Dan Sullivan found something called the strategic coach and part of what Dan said is what life get comes down to his habits. Happy People have different habits than unhappy people. Successful people have different habits than unsuccessful people. And he said what a habit is is it's a discrete piece of behavior that you repeat over and over again until it becomes a habit. And it takes about a month, and in other words you train on that and you repeat on that takes discipline, but over time you internalize it, and it becomes more natural, and then you can learn another habit now why this is important under stress because I'm am a psychiatrist, but I'm also a passionate about neuroscience. Is. What happens is when we're under stress and who isn't. We have you've all heard of your adrenal glands? And what happens is your adrenal guns. Put out something called Cortisol. High Cortisol is high stress and what happens is your high cortisol triggers something in your brain called your middle and Migdal as part of your emotional brain, and when that high cortisol goes up. What happens is it triggers a migdal hijack and what that means. Is Your Migdal shunts blood away from your thinking brain. Into your survival brain and guess what taps into your training. It will tap in to what you've been trained to do almost automatically. Do you think NBA stars when. They think between shots. No, it's training and they've been trained. What what's the saying? It May Have Been Stephen, Covey senior, or someone said you need. What is it ten thousand? What does it take to be come an expert? He said was at ten thousand hours. As a ten thousand hours or know that's probably more training in many of us however. Yeah thousands of hours. Thousands of hours and what happens is you become an expert at it, so you don't even have to think when you're faced with a situation, so I can't emphasize what Jay is saying. Strongly enough train train train train so that you have many many options, no matter what something whatever is. Facing you years ago I, was a fan of tiger woods during his heyday, and it was interesting when someone asked him. How do you play around the Gulf? He says. I'll tell a quick story if that's okay, sure absolutely story. So he told me. He said that before he wasn't Mattel and he's left Mattel. Now is an investment company, but he really turned mattel. Ron Big time. And he said before that he was the CEO of Craft in Chicago and when he started at kraft, he was I may president of the cheese division. And in two months time, the dairy prices went up. And so craft, Gary. Prices went up, and then they went down, but it was written into the bylaws of craft that they didn't lower their prices, so the independence lowered the prices when the prices went down, but kraft didn't. Easier, you can change it when you wake up in the morning, but again it's one of those trainings. What can I get done? To Make My. To make my team more successful to make me were successful. How Will Cam Newton Make the Patriots Better?

It was impossible up to this point. The idea that the only team in the league that to starting quarterback might possibly make a move for the best available starting quarterback on the free agent market see Telepho-, obvious when you lay it out like that, but here's the thing it's June and according to our Adam Schefter. No other teams exception to the Browns who had some interest put in a call then New England goes out, and they get cam for basically nothing veteran minimum with incentives. How bill how? I think it's a combination of things I mean. And then I think from camps perspective he rightfully would rather be making less money with the opportunity to start for the new, England Patriots say a playoff team from a year ago, then serve as a perhaps higher paid backup in a spot where he's unlikely to play. Knowing how little New England paid for him and looking back at some of the other quarterbacks who got jobs during free agency? Are there any teams that you think would have been wise to jump ahead of new? England and WHY IS IT CHICAGO? I do think that the decision to trade for Nick. Foles a player who realistically has if not Worse Injury History Than Cam Newton certainly a comparable injury history when it comes to his checkered past i. do think that the bears would have been in much better shape. Do Not trae draft pick and to sign Cam Newton for much less money than they're going to give nick foles over the next three years and I think there's a handful of teams that. That even if it happened as a backup, I think teams like the steelers. Of course you've talked about the titans as possible CAM, Newton location and I think absolutely teams like that have a veteran quarterback with a history of injuries and very little behind them in the backup role would have absolutely been smart to making move for Cam Newton, but obviously I think it's the Patriots benefit that the League has been so conservative when it's come to approach again. Let's talk about what we can expect out of canning. Which I realize, you are not a doctor, but the big question mark is you've outlined his health the last time we saw him play. What did you see out of Cam the last time he was healthy? The last extended stretch we saw from Cam Newton as a healthy quarterback, was the first half of twenty eighteen, and he was excellent. Newton throws. Fabio Capello Panthers one of the best teams in football at six to newton was tenth and Passer Rating Twelve Qbr and the panthers had guilty scheme that was designed to actually trying to out more quickly and leave some of the hits that candidate taking, and we saw his numbers include accordingly. SNAP TO NEWTON looking left throws it over the Middle Touchdown Greg Olsen. Cam Newton looking like a poster on feats. Assume. Thirty so frequently earlier in his career, they always posted pretty mediocre.
