"Maybe that's what they're doing wasn't because of that but it happened to be They were terrible through the whole process and they know they. It's time to name a captain and there's just no other choice. I think conor brown will be fine. Choice to chabad would be a fine choice. However it's going to be brady could chuck so why not get on with things right right good for him. Yeah like i said after. I saw him speak i. The bar went up actually. I thought the other kids humble. I like it. I like yup not any across the board. They're very pleased. The franchise is pleased. And i really think that for all the grief eugene melnyk gets about not doing the right things. Both behavior wise and financially. You gotta go okay. You stepped up here the end you got to kind of and it's such a. It's a hallmark signing because there was so much skepticism. Yeah you say you're in a rebuild or are you just cost cutting is big fire sale. And you're gonna try and be young all the time you know. Get rid of the guys bringing draft picks and young players that are cheaper. Well this is. This is galvanized. I think the fan base that. Yeah okay this guy is willing to do it. The right way and is willing to invest properly so it. It's more than just the player. It's a big turning point for the franchise. i think. Yeah i what i did think was kind of funny so and cool at the same time. He shows up at the game right. He was talking about. Why suicide signed the deal. Or i got. I got the word that they've accepted the deal and i had to find Had to get to an airport to try to get with the team and obviously he. He didn't dress that after he signed in they had them up in the rafters right and him waving the crowd. And all that stuff and being pumped up you know he signed for eight million a year and then they flashed appear dhahran and npr mcguire. Radi churkin and they show these guys high fiving like the the they just negotiated some sort of un summit deal. You know on some big hostage negotiation thing you know boom you know it's like well no you. You gave the kit the money you want it. You don't know you gave him exactly that you're right. You know what i mean. What's the wasn't really to give the guy. Basically the max. Which i think is what they did. I mean i guess they could go higher. Technically i would not want to spend as pleased as i am with the deal. It was any more than that. I'd be going jeez. That's a bit much right. And so when you spend the max. There's not really with all due. Respect to the pierre's i'm a big fan of both but it's not really this massive accomplishment right like you said. He gave him everything he wanted. I don't know where to go but way to go. Its bill burr right one of one of our favorite comedians. He he does. I reminded me of this but people say oh boy. That's a nice dog. Nice nice cat right and the people will go yes well. It's a rescue right like they're waiting for this big big fanfare. You know unbelievable. You rescued a cat. You know bill vertigos. "Than he thought he would than anyone thought he would over. And i said this was the giants. Were churkin lens. No i mean you know a team. That's probably not going to be that good that nobody really has in high regard at this point and washington took a far worse beating. Then they should have done. You would have expected them. Three hundred ninety one yards in total offense for the giants. They didn't have that in the entire twenty twenty season. You have to go back to twenty nineteen to find a giants offense that rolled up that many yards against an opponent tommy. They're concerned out there about the defense. They're not alarmed. They're not panicked because they have. They believe and i would agree with this. They've got enough talent to be a really good defense. Maybe not an elite defense but they've got enough talent to be a very good defense and they haven't played that way in the first two games in there is some concern out there. And it's the concern that ron rivera has expressed to me on the radio show now to three times when i've asked him you know asked him before the season. What's your biggest concern said maturity and then after the opener i said the maturity that you were talking about is it a discipline maturity like on defense. He said yes. I'm paraphrasing here. But it's very clear that the maturity that he was talking about is a level of discipline and the discipline that i believe he is Really referring to is that defensively you know. He and jack del rio in the defensive staff you know. This goes back to last year where they had some issues teaching new techniques to some of the players that had been there and there was actually some pushback from some of the guys that had been there and it was the old really. You guys were three and thirteen last year. Why don't we try our way ended. Eventually you know played out that the defense had a good season albeit against a pretty weak group of teams offensively anyway on that they faced We've been through all of that but there is legitimate concern that this defense and a scheme that requires a level of discipline and a An environment of it our way and do your job the way we've told you do our job. We don't like a lot of freelancing for the lack of a better description and there's some concern that they're getting too much of that right now From how many players. I have no idea but from at least a couple in one of those would be chase young because jay sean and i pointed out here in the post game recap podcast. Last week played a little bit. You know freelance freelancing ish in that game on that slot corner by kendall fuller which we talked about he almost got in the way almost tripped them up. anyway They want more played our way. Do with the way we've taught you how to do it and everything will be fine. And that's not necessarily what they've gotten through two games. So i can tell you that there is some frustration slash concern about this now again. Are they panicked. No they've got talent. They understand it and you know They got a coach. It up a lot of this is on them. I'm to coach it up but You know they're gonna get by the way they're going to get a quarterback who was one of those quarterbacks that when we looked at the schedule we thought who josh allen. Top ten quarterback. I still think he is a top ten quarterback but he is not played like a top ten quarterback in these first two games. He's had a rough start to the season. So this will be an interesting matchup. Sunday between a defense. It was supposed to be great against a quarterback that was supposed to be great and yet neither one of them. The defence for washington or the quarterback for buffalo has played that well in the first two games. Well i mean you look you you you watch miami game. I didn't watch miami game. I'm sure what you saw as accurate But the pattern that i talked about is teams not just playing offense. It's not playing well but doing their best having like some of the best days. I mean the chargers i'd four hundred twenty four yards of offense. That's the most they had since the beginning of november last year. And you go back to the. You know the The playoff game last year. I mean i know. It's tom brady. I know it's the eventual super bowl champions but they had five hundred and seven yards of offense so teams are not just offensively playing. Well they're they're. They're playing their best offensively against this. You and given the fact that daniel jones Mobility gave the defense such a problem that.

"Here's the way we should deal with that reality we should say. The taliban did control kabul but now we control kabul and if the taliban interfere and all the evacuation american citizens will destroy everyone our site site. Our milteer is perfectly capable of doing that. But joe biden is not going to let them do that. He's worried about optics. We're worrying about our citizens and then what what is the house. Is this going to resonate through all our enemy states in the terrorist organization. They're gonna see people don't mean anything to us. I mean just today. Janaki sake said oh. Don't worry there aren't american stranded in afghanistan. Mark my age in my office who've been working around the clock for more than a week now to try to help stranded american citizens could tell you in fact they are stranded. They are being beaten. They're being intimidated or having their passports confiscated. And if joe biden proceed with his plans to get out of the country by tuesday that means that those slides are stop and the next four days because they have stop. Start rolling up operations at the airport and getting our military alps and we'll have hundreds of thousands of defacto hostages inside afghanistan. They be under locking key in a prison but they'll be totally subject to whims of taliban he terrorist organization there so few thought Fifty two hostages in toronto in nineteen seventy nine paralyzed. America just wait until the taliban holds at its mercy thousands of american citizens. And you know senator. I don't see any george patton. I don't see any general stepping up. I don't see anybody saying. I can't be a part of this. I'm going to leave or anything like that. I remember them all bailing on trump and trump. Because they didn't like none of them were bailing on biden. Isn't this humiliation for them. Well it was obvious to me. That from some of the press conferences last week That our senior melchior's explaining that. I had closed down bog because joe biden put an artificial cap on the number of churkin out there and you refuse to keep them up troops in the country just to secure bottom as well as the airport and the embassy And this goes back to. Joe biden's You know hostility and bitterness towards the military at least a two thousand nine. All the accounts of that era describe how biden was bitter that President obama at the time went with military over biden's recommendation don't what to do afghanistan. I think the relationships right now are just extremely tense between biden and the senior military leaders And he's just extremely stubborn. And i think a lot of trying to figure out what to do for the best of the countries and when you ask them any of them in any press secretary is how you're going to get these people they don't have any answer and the taleban is getting stronger and stronger. They are and i. I mean mark again. I think they don't have an answer because their commander in chief is not giving them what they need to give nature. I mean again if the dutch. For god's sakes can go onto patrols into afghanistan to evacuate their citizens then the armed forces of the united states can certainly go on patrols to evacuate our citizens. If they're giving the resources they need and the troops they need and the rules of engagement that allow them to defend themselves and our citizens and smoke any taliban that gets in their way. You probably have to go as i write. I'm always time to you mark. All right. I need just a little bit longer.

That's the thing so we go by this rotation guys. You have to understand something. Yeah we each get roughly three fucking albums a year a year each. So you're like you get to a point like i wanna do this album again. Maybe somebody else will pick it because we don't share the album with each other. But i don't pick this one i'm would have to wait till 'til matcher talk about it. So then you like all right. Let me get in there. Let me get it in you. Want to change things up and do something different. You don't want the same stuff. So that's what happens. It's a little tough here's one. Here's one that shocking. And i'm sure we'll eventually get to a german operas s. t. purple campbell. Ask marty don't get started and believe that hasn't been picked. Oh maybe my favorite made my favorite grudge. I know and then someone wrote in cinderella night songs. We didn't do that or long winter yet. Yup exactly throw success. Throw some album out there. If you guys. Richardson jackson has anybody. "And i remember what was maybe two days before maybe the day before the flight get a call from from sally and and he's like i think you need to call ryan and talk to him a little bit. I was like why. I think part of my problem is sometimes i just don't understand and So anyway tell us about what happened. So what happened. Was david told me ryan. If you have an opportunity to do this you gotta do. It was the greatest thing. I've ever done for myself. And my practice and just totally altered his kind of approach in perception of running in dental business and being a clinician and so when i applied to me it was more of an application and i i was nervous i would even get selected for it right now at that time. I didn't even own the practice outright so it was like even candidates come and And then you guys welcome aboard. I was like all right. Let's do this and then i was getting pressure. The weeks leading up to it from from my dad from my mom And and also my wife that hey you know doctor is going to be in attendance serving as a mentor. Are you sure you're comfortable sharing your guts of your practice in front of him. And i was like. Hey you know. He's a great friend. I just was continuing getting hesitation problem from my family and then i started getting concerned in Dr churkin. I had a lengthy conversation about he was. He went so far as being willing to pass oncoming as a mentor as badly as he wanted to go through the process again just to ensure that i had that experience i still was scared to come and it really wasn't until i talked to selley into ut bone about you know avoiding that scarcity mindset understanding that there's enough business in the town of northbrook to support both of our practices and apparently the guy next to you too i. I couldn't have been more wrong but yeah married. His right she'll building. There's four general dental offices in this professional building in it's highly needed kick one of them out because you need more space now do knees desperate for more space. Right now i'm natalie the scarcity mindset that mindset is is is it kills people and kills practices and let me back that up i don't think the scarcity mindset kills practices. I think holds people back more than it kills them. Because here's the truth. If you didn't come you made a great living. You'd have had a great practice. You've been a great clinician and you done wonderful things but you wouldn't have been exposed to other potential and that's where one plus one isn't to one plus one is three to plus two and four. It's eight an exponentially as you put people around each other. You know what happens is nothing short of amazing and yes. There are times where you're gonna lose around when you're when you're in deals or when you're in partnerships you're going to have some that you lose but you're going to gain so much more and even when you lose your gaining. I've always believed that that some of your best learning comes from failing and i think scarcity mindset holds people back and most of all. You wouldn't have made it to the lake house. And then you also wouldn't have felt comfortable taking that we often go to turkson keiko's nor nowhere to day so there's a lot of really great things but also the scarcity mindset is why you are working two hundred and fifty days a year and you weren't that wasn't for our listeners. That wasn't just within your practice. You're working at another practice a few days one or two days a week right so you were on those days. You were doing that those days. You could have been focused even if it was just not physically in the office but focusing on your office and thinking about ways to make it better versus you know running yourself ragged working for someone else. Another practice one hundred percent meredith. That was the thing is i was. I was working like one hundred eighty days for my office and it was working sixty day eighty days for another office kind of moonlighting thing just.

"Four of those since returning spencer to eighty five. Just book the big fight. It will touch on that in moment but spencer. What did you think sean. Churkin's performance impress. Were you with what he put together over those twenty five minutes. I mean pretty impressed like this is clearly the biggest one of his career. It's kind of a similar performance to what we've seen from him since coming back where it's just that kind of marauding style coming forward sticking the doubt in people's faces and just kind of wearing them out with volume and and a gas tank that he's one of those guys that he doesn't put a a wild on you but it's just so consistent you never really get the chance to catch your breath. There's no breaks and so to me. It's it's a tremendous performance. You said four straight since coming back from the injury and moving back to middleweight shouts brennan fitzgerald for getting that out there early in the broadcast that he started his career at middleweight. My my sticking point that i loved to point it was. It was the kind of wind he needed to get over this stuff. We talked about last week of great. He beat kristoff yacht. Co like your ryan hall and and he said going in your rioters. a gatekeeper. didn't mean it detrimentally. I use the term. A lot. Because i don't i don't look at it with that negative connotation that a lot of people do it just means. You're you're where you are and there's absolutely nothing wrong with being the ninth best. Middleweight in the ufc. For a number of years. I mean to really damn good. And there's a lot of dudes that would like to trade places with you. And sean stricklin showed that he's a little bit ahead of that. He's a little bit better than that. How far better how much better how far he can go. That's kind of the fun part of this right now is just seeing kenny. Do those same things where it's not e- doesn't show necessarily the power to get you out of there. He's not coming with anything. Fancy or flashy. That's gonna like catch you off guard and get you out of there to hurry. But he's also finished brennan allen during this run and so how far can you take this and and we're going to get to find out here later on this year when he when he has that fight with luke rock. Hold which maybe doesn't tell us anything we'll get to that but this this performance last weekend was exactly what he needed. An an impressive to me aka. What did you think like. Did you walk away from vegas thirty three thinking you know. What that sean. Strickland loud fella. Who likes to talk in his fights and say crazy things. This is a legit title contender. They're watching right now. Do you feel like like. I feel like with kevin. Harlan huges winning fights personality shown and people ready to throw him into a title fight like at the end of the year. If you beat schalke thrown into a title fight. Get them right in there with busy do you. Do you have any sort of the same feeling which sean strickland with this run. That he's on right now after. Getting five straight wins. I'm pretty. I think i'm on record and on most of our shows that we've talked about sean. Strickland has an expensive appreciate this. That i was very much On the strickland bandwagon as hall banned by the way at barry hall bandwagon. By the way it was probably why i was so invested in this main event More i against. I think i didn't like people saying this is like a throwaway main events i understood. I understood the criticism. The car during your i still. It turned out to be a really good card. I didn't think on paper was a great card. But the main event i always thought wasn't intriguing event. I didn't understand people saying well. Neither of these guys are ever going to designate. If i if you write off all wins. He continues the best streak of his Stretches your career and absolutely could have contended and strickland wins than he's the real deal again on the prints positively i was. I was just kind of looking at it. You know how could it benefit both guys So yeah. I was not come sunday morning. I wasn't like wow. I can't believe everyone's talking about sean strickland now. I'm like i'm like no. This is the logical outcome especially given his performance. Which again. I think i picked hall. I thought hall had was the stage of his career. Where he's kind of like matured and he could he could Wouldn't fall some of the pitfalls that he's that he's gone into before and it wasn't a case he got he got beat by a better fighter I hope you're hall. I kind of i kind of flippantly tweeted something like you know. Well i've i've. I've been fooled again by the era hall. You know a story but again. That's that's just sort of like saying we've had expectations for him for so long. I think he needs anyone to tell him. But i think when he looks back in his career he's had a very good career. I'm and i hope. I hope he doesn't become the sort of cautionary tale like your house. Someone who has never quite like good enough to to make it to the titles. That's a lot of fighters that's a lot of fighters who spent a wish they could be that successful but focusing on strickland's i'm telling people do not count this guy out as someone who could not only compete for the title like. I think this is recently bias. I think you could really give someone like israel tucson. You're really good fight. I really do. There's there shades. i think. I'm not the first person to make this comparison. There's shades of michael spinks michael being for the longest time got criticized. Oh he's he's a volume guy. He doesn't have that one punch knockout power. He wanted us to see title. He what is he telling. He was a contender for a long time. We'll we'll strickland. Follow that pat. I don't know he's got the mouth as well. He's kind of trash on the building. Sb certainly not afraid of the microphone. So my my big takeaway is if anyone was sleeping on strong strickland before. I don't know why you would be now if especially if you watch that fight and not just saw the result. If you actually watch that fight you should say. This guy has the potential to be a top five Middleweight by the end of the year. So less than a week. After this victory ak sean strickland already has his new opponent. He will face former middleweight. Champion luke recalled in november at usc to sixty eighth fight has been verbally. Agreed to and this fits. If you watch my interview with rock hold from a few weeks ago. This fits essentially all the criteria that rock cold wanted to check off on the old clipboard..

"Your experience. What percentage of your customers are doing low hanging fruit versus a doing the higher hanging fruit. Just just beat this analogy to death. Well it's i think most at this point are the lower hanging but if you if you look at continuous improvement as a never ending cycle you know i i think of it is is sorta running laps around the track right. It's you're you're going and you. You know you as i mentioned before you want to identify our ties and execute in the prioritizes key right so let the data drive where the most money can be made in terms of continuous improvement. And you know start with those but you never stop you know once you once you get started. That process never stops. So you're always looking for other opportunities in other ways to leverage the data to drive more value in the organization and now whether some of these other areas are are more value. Well again that depends on the organization and what their are. But you know what. I what i'm seeing again is work very early on going from companies that are collecting data manually. Writing stuff down on paper rental board to a point where not only are they now capturing real time data through the machines but they're integrating that with other with other systems they're capturing other data and they're bringing all this together to drive value cross the organization and they're just beginning to discover the many opportunities around that and also the From a supply chain standpoint. It's one example. I gave of the company that that was able to go into their other plants essentially determined. Where should i make this product it. It basically becomes a virtual virtual manufacturing facility on although it's distributed churkin it can be viewed that way and so You know so. That's something i talk about. All day terms from product development. And it was. I think it was always the key part of the vision at pg see machine met with uh. Excuse me with thing. Works was being able to key was heavily heavy into Plm cad cad cam really. Being closed loop work a product manufacturer that goes out with feel you get data back from that and you tie that back into developed right optimized development so. I think that that's really where the the industry is heading home. Some are moving faster than others that the opportunity is really limitless. Apply analytics to that is some of the newer technologies. There's there's a lot of exciting things happen. No i agree. I just wanna. I don't wanna give our listeners. The wrong impression however and that is let's just a bunch of data and we'll figure out we're going to discover miraculously we're gonna we're gonna mind at data and final this gold. I think the more sophisticated customer will think about the bigger picture in from the very beginning. You know let's use your terminology of the machine to people in the systems. Think about the value that they're trying to create things what the kpi's at their measured on in their company stock is measured on and then go out and collect that data. So i just want to. I don't want to leave. Leave the listeners. Thinking let's just collect up a bunch of data and then we'll figure out all the value in it later Concerned up asleep stumble on things of course but a better approach is to think about it strategically from the very beginning. And even if you're doing the lowing the lower hanging fruit At least think about that higher hanging fruit. So that when you're doing the lower hanging fruit is within the context of bigger picture. The agree i mean. The data of itself isn't the value. It's it's the insights from the data and in house levers and yes that has to be tied to a strategy to to direction and what what's also interesting is how companies are transforming and looking at ways to Really dramatically of all their their business. Some respects yeah through this. We also work with machine. Builders where machine builders and the distributors that we work with will embed machine metrics into their machine assets They will you know those those will go out to manufacturer and they're coming at it from the standpoint of a service provider being able to better service those machines so having changed their business model. Maybe there's lots of this. Is that you know when you when you look at the way it is today and you look at who who's involved in that whole picture of the number of parts and you start to think of well. What's what's the opportunity. I mean there are companies out there. That are moving to a different model where we're not selling machines. They're they're essentially leasing them or or providing signing out or you can do it out woman and they wanna know how is housing machine being used. They want to There by having access to that they can then also advise the costumer and potentially sell additional services so it can change the business in many respects because these companies again have deep domain expertise the deep domain expertise around their machine assets in terms of how to optimize them also knowledge of customers and their business in their their specific industry. Mar yeah yeah it. Let's move in the finances now. And i wholeheartedly agree in a good transition is is kinda what you just brought up now. I mean you can use obviously to make things you can also put the technology into those things and when you make things while you're doing is you're you're you're you're improving operationally fish you if you squint your eyes. Whatever the metrics are you're improving efficiency so you're making them for lower cost now so you're improving the margin but what you what we're talking about now you brought up is when you put the technology into the things themselves and obviously can't put into everything but when you put into the things themselves you're now looking at innovation you're looking an invention and it's more of like a top line improvement and obviously when you improve if you have a great a much better product you're gonna sell more with us market expansion moving into different markets but i think that you know this is a key thing for people to think about. It's not just to make your make your things that you're making more efficient if you put it. Then that's that's a different higher fruit than you were talking about earlier. But if you put into the products themselves than we're talking about different potentially different business models like we're saying we're talking about improving revenue not just improving margins and if you look at the difference when it comes down to to devalue the company whether you're measuring that in while ultimately is going to be an enterprise value. You're going to get a lot more value if you can. If you can put it into into the product where you're improving the revenue the revenue side So let's let let's transition to into a case study. I know you've got a good one for us Maybe give us a an outline of of the company what they do and then let's talk about some more numbers and talk about how you help them and specifically financially What the improvements were sure. So i i mentioned they meant device Customer are earlier. Another example in the industrial space would be a company called morgan olson They they're.

So I had to text him how to pronounce Yes, because, uh, so I axes a team in the You read a busy who Very busy area. Too busy. Sure. Why not? I think I went to school with him. Did someone's gonna say you didn't get it? Get it close to area too busy is the highest level professional football in the Netherlands. So every once in a while, I will. I'll ask you or or anybody like why. Why do people here? Just accept that the pro sports teams they don't do anything for you? For instance, when Andrew Luck retired, and there was a debate about Haitian, the Colts refund season tickets, my answer was, Of course they should. If you want out, you should get a refund. I have many games. Of course they should. And people yelled at me because I go Whatever the sports teams are billion dollar enterprise in such a pie in the sky guy, right when Jack Eichel swapped his jersey number I thought the sabers can pay for that. They could just swap the number for you. Of course they can. They're pro sports team. And you know, whatever. Maybe not my most popular. Take your sports teams can do more for you. So in that department I ax one. The area. Too busy. I really can't That can't be right. Right? It just seems like it's not whatever important they won What did they do for their season ticket holders after winning the Eredivisie after winning the Eredivisie, what they do for their seems like they do for their season taking all those? You know something uniformly late, one of their fans, a replica of the trophy getting warmer. They sent their fans the actual trophy to rotate through. Knocking on the door. They sent everybody a contract for the next season to play one game for the much colder, much colder know that you talk about the sabers. Um Boy knocking on the door with the trophy. Uh, You're knocking on the door of they got the trophy passed around to everybody, adding what at a night at the pub for all the season ticket holders to meet the players and have the trophy there? They Mm hmm. Melted the trophy. What? And made it into individual stars. And gave those to their season ticket holders. Can you do that? It's not their trophy. Sure this I mean, it's the leaked all they get to keep the trophy in perpetuity. They just get a melted it. Well, yeah, but it's not me. It's the League trophy. No, it's their trophy. Just like the Lombardi Trophy. They make one every year and you get to keep it. That's what I meant. They don't They get their own copy of it, essentially and you keep it and try to make sure that it wasn't like a trophy that to be returned Anybody after the year I will settle for nothing less. In the bills melting the Lombardi Trophy. And sending me a peace freedom and held on second and it shall teams don't keep their own replica of the Stanley Cup. No, So right. You have to return that. Yes, but you can have a Lombardi right? College bills used to have the NFC champion New Trophy to make new Lombardi in here. You know what they should do that you should be allowed as a team to keep the championship trophy every year. You can unless it's the Stanley Stanley Cup. That's I'm saying the NHL should do that. You should be allowed to have your own Stanley Cup to keep Then the couple be significantly less meaningful means still me inside me when I say why The cup means a lot is because there's well there's like what three of them, But there's 12 real two of them. I think that's what makes it important. Well, it means a lot to me because it's really hard to win it for two months. I admit I'd honestly if this if each team got to keep it in their display case give you still means a lot to me to take on that about how hard it is to win it. Every time I hear a debate about people saying like which championships the hardest to win. I think it sounds silly, So it's a tie. It is 16 wins. I mean, it's hard. So what time it is hard, the Super Bowl, the Stanley Cup, the NBA title the World Series. They're all tie. One team gets it every year. You only gotta win three football games to win the Super Bowl. OK, it's a tie. Now. It's harder when the only gonna win three football games. You can't afford to lose a single game. Yeah, I know it's hard to win a couple No, it's exactly a tie. No, it's harder to win. Something team doesn't equal three. You can't be a time. Churkin, one winner of the 16th Grade. I went to math class two minute warning. It's if the Cup was handed out once every seven years. Because of you know what No one's good enough for this year. Then it's harder than when. Somebody gets it every year except labor stoppages. You know what? Maybe it is the hardest one to win. They have enough trouble completing their complete shutdown for an entire season. All right, I got that silly people. That zone melting down the trophy, huh? Melting the trophy. But then so the team doesn't does the team. Then get a second replica trophy to put in a display case, everything some milk and maybe make a replica so they can write on it. This is a replica of the actual trophy was Melted down and sent to our citizens because that's that's cool. Don't get me wrong. That's a cool thing to do. But I feel like you'd still as a fan I would still want. You know that trophy is on display somewhere with last minute of play in the show like I could go see it. I think that'd be awesome, like go to a home game and Someplace in the stadium. Hey, look, there's the championship trophy from 2021. I'd like to see that they're somewhere. So anyway, you're not a season ticket holder for the bills, right? Me? No sure to show you my piece of the melted Lombardi trophy. Excited about that. Don't think they're going to do that. If they went a Lombardi trophy. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the bills would not melt the trophy down Now. You know, Whenever someone says, Hey, they won the Super Bowl. You guys complain about you know what I'll complain about. That they didn't melt the trophy down on a piece of that trophy will always find something to complain about. Did they win back to back or just one time? To the national media. Give them enough respect as winners. Yeah, you know if they win the national If they win the Lombardi did they get five primetime games the following season? On that note on that note will step aside incident five minutes away from tickets. Good, by the way, you're not. Are you thinking I might actually buying you to know? Don't worry about it. I'm just screwing with you. Paul Hamilton buying your tickets. Come on. Just do think Paul's gonna buy me tickets. Might. I doubt it? Dancer screwing with you. Don't worry about it. Okay. All right. Have fun. Good luck, Everybody instigators on the way. We're back tomorrow morning at six. With protection for your motorcycle, boat and RV. You're progressive policy works the way it's supposed to. Well, if you ask me, they are definitely gonna win big, but I also think there's a chance they don't win. It's just my gut that they will probably won't. But I do have a hunch that whatever happens, we will definitely know what it does..

'Millions Left On The Table': How Cities Can Help Trim Rising Flood Insurance Rates

"Many americans are seeing the cost of climate change in their flood. Insurance rates are rising by a lot in some places and now there's a federal program that offers discounts but not on communities are taking full advantage of it. Sam turkey of member station w. h. reports william jennings and his wife have lived in their home in virginia beach for the last thirty seven years and their plan was to stain it through retirement. I really like my house. A two story home swimming pool in the backyard in recent years jennings neighborhood has flooded more and more including his house once. His mortgage requires debate annual flood insurance about twenty four hundred dollars. Now it's going up eighteen percent july. He says soon keeping his home may not be affordable. Yeah i don't wanna think about that. One of my neighbors said they just walk away from their home and Just leave and let the bank take it. Whether jennings walks away could depend on. How much virginia beach invest in a little known federal program. It's called the community reading system or c. r. s the more cities due to reduce flooding and spread awareness about it the bigger discount. Their residents can get on flood insurance mary. Carson stiff is with virginia environmental nonprofit watch signs that say turn around. Don't drown alerting. People not to drive through flood water. Having requirements for structures to be built up is something that earns lot of points according to the federal emergency management agency. More than fifteen hundred communities nationwide participate in the sierras. It can save people living in flood prone areas hundreds of dollars a year in virginia. James city county has gone up to a twenty five percent discount. These are clippers. Sneeze darryl cooke works with the program for the county. He walks through cypress swamp. Tall slender cheese are everywhere and fallen leaves. Cover the muddy ground this area floods when it rains. Cook says james city county gop points for restricting development here so loud to flood unimpeded doesn't damage any structures or like that. The community rating system has been running since nineteen ninety. Many flood-prone cities around the country have been involved in it for years and they've worked to get bigger discounts over time. Mary carson stiff with wetlands. Watch says others haven't this is big money. You're talking millions left on the table. Virginia beach the most populous city in the state only got involved last year whitney mcnamara environmental planner with the city. Hard of it for us was just our constituents and our elected officials really started becoming more aware of the impact flooding was having on our communities. Virginia beach residents with the most flood risk currently of fifteen percent discount on flood insurance but mcnamara says going for a higher discount would be so time consuming and costly. There are no plans to do. So now roy. Right is a former head of the national flood insurance program. He says flooding is getting worse as the climate changes that mean cities that don't make the rating system priority will lose out more and more so a city council needs to look holistically at the value of it because across all of their policy holders who get that discount. It really begins to add up right predicts that more cities will invest in the program as flood insurance rates. Keep going up for npr news. I'm sam churkin
